You and your son woke up early to make birthday pancakes for the birthday boy. It's a tradition that started years ago when you and Jeno started dating, he knew you loved pancakes so he took you out for breakfast and surprised you with a tall stack of your favorite pancake with a pink candle on top.
Now years later, here you are in your kitchen cooking pancakes with your son, Geonu, about to surprise your husband.
Geonu, now two years old, is at that age where you can let him join the fun. You love cooking and baking so usually he'd be right beside you as your little helper.
"Mommy, owy" his term for chocolate, pointing at the bowl of chocolate chips
"Want to put the choco chips? Okay, you do it like this" you carry him up, showing how and where to sprinkle it. You let him get a handful before you do the same, a few got stuck between his fingers and he immediately taste it
"You silly boy, you only wanted to get the chocolate huh" you tickle him, eliciting giggles from your little boy. Geonu is a splitting imagine of Jeno, when he was born and Jeno's mom said he look3d exactly like Jeno when he was born. And as the years passed by Geonu's showing more resemblance with his father.
Your favorite one being their identical eye smile.
You finish cooking the pancakes, fixing a stack to surprise Jeno with. Carrying the plate in one hand and Geonu with your other.
Opening your bedroom door, you see your husband still fast asleep. His bare back towards the door, you set Geonu on the bed and he immediately crawls towards his dad. Climbing on his back and laying his head right on Jeno's head.
Jeno feels something on his cheek, something settles on his back too. After a few seconds he can feel something wet on his cheek, a tiny voice gurggling.
A smile appears on his face before he could even open his eyes. He peaks with one eye, turning to see you at the edge of the mattress with a plate of pancakes and his son giving him his morning kisses
"Good morning, happy birthday baby" you tell him. He carefully move Geonu from his back to his lap, sitting up to blow the candle
"Geonu, let's make a wish. Okay 1 2 3" the little boy blowing the candle with Jeno, you sit infront your boys watching them with smitten eyes
"Thank you, baby" he tells you, leaning over to give you a kiss
"So how does it feel to be a year older?"
"I'm only a few months older, this would be you soon" he teases you back
One of many birthdays you've celebrated together and now you have your little bundle of joy to celebrate with. There's really nothing Jeno would wish for, he already has everything he needs. He used to wonder if settling down was something he'd do, he didn't really see himself as a family man. He's fine being on his own until he met you.
Ever since then, there isn't a moment he wanted to be alone ever again. He knew he was going to spend the rest of his birthdays with you the moment you smiled so big at him at that breakfast diner a few years ago.
He finally knew what real contentment feels and it's this. Mornings with you and the little boy who is equal parts of him and you. Celebrating birthdays with a tradition the two of you made.
"Let's have breakfast downstairs, I made eggs and bacon and coffee" you tell him, getting Geonu from then standing up from the bed.
Jeno sets the plate down on the bedside table before giving you a hug by the waist. Your hand finds his hair, giving him a half hug.
"I love you so so so much" he mumbles, looking up at you
You lean down to kiss him again, after a few seconds you feel a hand separate the two of you making the two of you laugh
"Uhhhh what is this? She's mine before she was yours" Jeno tells his son, giving his tummy tickles.
"Okay okay let's go get breakfast, we have a full day ahead. You go get dressed" you tell Jeno, knowing full well what's underneath the sheets
He smirks at you, waving as you walk out the door
After a few seconds you peak your head by the door, "I love you too" you say then you walk away. Jeno smiles, his eyes disappearing as the familiar feelings envelops him again. Like he's falling inlove with you for the first time again.

Izuku stared out at the bright lights that reflected millions of colors across the glittering buildings. Night time in the city was always beautiful. It was one of the reasons he loved night patrols.
As he made his rounds in the sector, his mind kept wandering back to you. What were you doing right about now? Since he was stuck on the night shift this evening, he wouldn't be there to witness your nightly routine.
He'd come to memorize your exact routine each night. Izuku chuckled as he imagined you putting on another spot of tea before you went to clean your face, humming whatever old song was stuck in your head as you danced around your shared apartment. You were probably in your pajamas by now and though he'd never voice it, he'd hoped you were wearing those Deku pj's Ochacho had gotten you as a gag gift last Christmas. It embarrassed him each time you put them on, flushing his face to near boiling every time he saw them. But he loved the way you looked in them.
The night had been quiet and his body was itching for action. Chilled fingers twitched along with his jittery form as he leaped across to the next rooftop. He always preferred to travel by rooftop during patrols. It was always easier to get a feel for whatever mood the city decided it was having that night. Plus it made sneaking up on unawares criminals much easier.
But it seemed as if all the villains in the city decided to take the night off during his patrol. That rarely ever happened. Especially with his special brand of luck.
With a sigh, he glanced down into the empty alley and made his way onto the next block. He hopped onto a ledge above a lonely intersection, watching one car lazily make its way through the light and down the next street.
He had time to make a quick call. To ease a bit of the boredom.
Fishing the cracked phone out of his pocket, he dialed your number and waited for you to answer. He was almost certain you were still awake, but a guilty thought crept into the back of his mind that maybe you decided to go to bed early tonight since he wouldn't be back until the wee hours of the morning.
The phone rang a few more times before it went to your voicemail where your chirpy recorded voice asked him to leave a message. He hung up, worried that he did call while you were asleep. He didn't want to bother you, especially this late at night.
Pocketing the device, he headed for the next block. As he landed on the next building, he couldn't help the nagging sensation in the back of his mind, demanding his attention. He knew your routine. He knew it down to a tee. Something about it didn't sit right with him. Of course, there could be a million possibilities of why you didn't answer, but usually, in Izuku's case, it always seemed to end in the worst-case scenario.
His boots dug into the gravel of the rooftop he'd stopped on. The low hum of the ventilation hid the crunch under his boots. He used the cover to lean against the metal and pull his phone out again. It couldn't hurt to just try one more time. As long as he heard from you that everything was okay, then he would be okay. He could always apologize for waking you later.
When the call went straight to voicemail this time, he stared down at the phone. Something wasn't right. That familiar sense of dread filling the pit in his stomach practically screamed it over and over at him. Something wasn't right.
Izuku pulled up the location app you both had installed on your phones. He pinpointed yours, and sure enough, you were home. Maybe you had just put it on silent, or maybe you were just busy with something at the moment.
He impatiently rapped his fingers along the cold metal surface of the unit as he thought through his decision. The apartment78 was outside his patrol route this week. From his position now, it would take him at least ten minutes off route. That nervous hole growing in his gut was only urging him more and more to just at least stop at home to check. You two could laugh about how silly it was later.
Mind made up, he turned back around and launched himself into the air, leaving a small ring in the gravel. If he boosted his speed with his quirk, he could make it there and back in time to finish his route.
Tumblr media
The night had been a quiet one. You were used to them of course. Every couple of weeks, Izuku would have to work the graveyard shift so you wouldn't see him until the morning. After a nice relaxing bath, you slipped on your pajamas, hoping that when Izuku did eventually make it home, he'd see you asleep with his likeness plastered all over you. It always made him melt into an adorable blubbering puddle which you took too much pleasure in.
After setting the teapot on the stove, you headed into the bathroom to finish washing your face. Humming a tune, you turned on the faucet. The water felt nice, especially after a long day. You could feel yourself relaxing the longer you splashed your face.
Over the sound of the sink, you heard a door close. With a handful of water brimming past your cupped palms, you froze, glancing at your phone on the counter. Izuku wouldn't be home yet unless something drastic happened, but normally, he would at least call if there was an issue.
Dropping the water back into the sink, you grabbed a towel and patted your face dry, then turned off the faucet. Before you stepped into the hallway, you slipped your phone into the waistband of your pants.
"Izuku? Didn't your shift already start? What are you doing home-" Your words died on your lips as you turned the corner into the living room, locking eyes with a masked person in a hoodie. The ski mask was lifted, revealing a pudgy face and wide saucer-like eyes.
The man was holding a large sack, half filled with contents from around the room. A burglar. You'd walked in on a burglary.
Two pairs of shocked eyes stared at each other for a few tense seconds. Your heart had gone into overdrive, nearly hammering itself right out of your chest. Your feet unconsciously backed up, but the man dropped the sack with a loud crack and pulled out a pistol, shakily aiming it at you.
"Don't move!" he cried out, eyes nervously darting around the room.
He didn't expect to be caught red-handed. His thick fingers trembled, shaking the barrel so badly you were sure if he did decide to shoot, he had a pretty good chance of missing. But you didn't want to take that chance to begin with.
You raised your hands in surrender. "Look, I don't want any trouble." You tried to keep your voice steady so as not to spook him. "Take whatever you want, as long as you leave. Just put the gun down alright? I won't fight."
That much was true. You weren't a hero like Izuku. You wouldn't try to bust your way through a fight. You only had your wits to keep you safe from a bullet and a shaky trigger finger.
The room was silent as the burglar nervously thought it over, the gun never wavering from his target. At last, he lowered it slightly, glancing down at his sack of stolen goodies.
A small bit of relief rolled through you as you thought he'd just take his prize and leave, but then a loud ringtone buzzed from your waist startling you both.
"What is that? What are you doing?" He took a heavy step forward, barrel pointed back at you. "Drop it! Drop it now!"
You couldn't help the panicked yelp as he waved the gun wildly, threatening to shoot. With slow motion, you lifted the phone out of your waistband and carefully placed it on the floor, face up. You could see Izuku's goofy grin lighting the screen as the phone vibrated loudly on the floor, demanding attention. After another ring, the phone went dark, along with your hope.
"N-now kick it over here!" He cried out, obviously getting more and more frantic with how this evening was turning out.
You couldn't say you were any more happy than he was.
Sliding your foot out, you gave it a little shove. The phone twirled across the wood floor until it came to a stop between the two of you. The man narrowed his eyes at you as he took a few more steps out to reach it.
As he bent down to grab it, you debated on the odds of running. If you just got outside, you could escape to get help. Or he could have a much better aim than you thought. The chances of him hitting his target weren't low enough to tangle with. If only there was a way to warn Izuku. But right now, your only means of communication was currently in a panicked criminal's hands.
The man examined your phone until the shrill cry from your kettle in the kitchen startled him so much that he dropped the device. You heard the crunch of your screen the moment it hit the floor, and you were afraid he'd destroyed your phone. Destroyed your chances of calling for help.
He cursed as he swiveled in the direction of the kitchen, trying to find the source of the noise.
"It's just the kettle," you said quietly, not wanting to startle him any more than he already had been.
A nervous gunman was an unpredictable gunman.
"This wasn't how it was supposed to go," he whispered as he stormed into the kitchen, keeping the gun trained on you as he moved the kettle off the stove, silencing the pot and filling the apartment with more tense silence.
You watched him, heart hammering in your chest as you tried to figure out what he was going to do. You'd seen his face. His mask was still sitting above his brow. He hadn't made any attempts at hiding himself. You weren't sure if he just hadn't realized it in his panic or if he knew he'd be screwed either way. But with the way he was staring at you now, you were sure this wasn't going to end in your favor.
"He said it'd be easy." The man rubbed his forehead with his free hand, before running his palm down his face. "Shit!"
"Please, if you leave now, I promise I won't say anything."
At least not until you had your phone back. Then there would be nowhere for him to hide once Izuku got wind of it. The only problem was getting to it with that barrel still staring down at you.
"No!" He yelled, pulling the rest of the mask off to rub his head with the side of the gun. Sweat had built up in his damp hair. It dripped down the side of his face, pooling under his chin. "No, no, no! You've already seen me. I'm screwed. If I mess something as simple as this up, then they'll-" he paused as if the next part was too terrifying to say aloud. "No! I've gotta fix this somehow."
An icy dread filled your veins. Everything he just admitted was what you were afraid of. You were the only witness. All he had to do was just get rid of the witness. A short-term solution to a long-term issue. It was a terrible plan. One that had major consequences for both parties, but he didn't seem to be in the listening kind of mood.
That familiar ringtone broke the taut mess of emotions hanging in the air. You glanced at the phone jingling against the floorboards with its merry tune. A stark contrast to your feelings at the moment.
He moved quickly out of the kitchen, back to where your phone lay innocently on the ground. The burglar lifted his boot and in one hard stomp, killed your only chance of calling for help. The buzzing stopped as your poor phone was crushed underfoot.
"Get on the floor! Put-put your hands on your head!" He charged toward you so quickly you sucked in a breath, stumbling back a few steps. "Don't make me tell you twice!"
Unsure of what else to do, you stiffly obeyed. Kneeling on the floor, you locked your hands behind your head, trying your best to regulate your heavy breaths. Panic was building in your throat. Tears blurred your vision. Fear flooded your thoughts. Thinking was nearly impossible as he pointed that gun just inches from your head.
The man wiped at the sheen of sweat building on his forehead and blinked hard. "I-I don't want to hurt you…but I can't…I can't go back to jail. If he knows I messed up again then-" He groaned, smacking his face.
"You won't!" you pleaded, holding in a sob. Anything to make him stop pointing that gun at your face. "Please, this will only make things worse."
"I just needed to pay off some debts." He seemed to be pleading right back, a wobbly tilt to his voice. He was just as scared as you. "It was supposed to be easy money. No one was supposed to be here. You weren't supposed to be here."
The man must not have done very good research before he attempted this little caper. You supposed the only reason he'd gotten caught was the work trip you were supposed to be on this week had been canceled. You weren't supposed to be here tonight. It was a last-minute change that threw him for a loop. And now it seemed you were paying the price.
"I can't-argh!" He twisted away, smacking the butt of the gun against his head in frustration. "Shit, shit, shit!"
The criminal stalked back and forth, seeming to debate about what to do next. As he paced, he only occasionally threw a sparing glance your way. Your stomach churned every time he looked at you. If you could just get past him without him looking. If you could just get through the door before he realized. You definitely didn't want to stick around to figure out what he would ultimately decide.
As he turned his back once more, you tensed your legs, ready to spring into action. With one quick motion, you dashed for the door on the other side of the room. He spun around when you were halfway across the living room and screamed. The gunshot nearly deafened you as it splintered the vase beside you.
You shrieked, stumbling back into the wall, trying to distance yourself from the shattered pottery. It was a gut reaction but it was the wrong choice. Your hesitance gave him the opportunity he needed to place himself between you and the door, raising the gun with his finger on the trigger.
There was no time to think. You knew he was going to shoot. He was too spooked to let you go now. Not after the attempted escape. So you did the only thing you could.
You ran.
Backpedaling as fast as you could, you flung yourself around the corner and down the hall. In your panic, you dove into the first room you came across which happened to be the bathroom. Once you crossed the barrier, you twisted and kicked the door shut, practically throwing yourself into the wood as you fumbled with the lock.
The moment you twisted the lock, he slammed himself into the door. The knob shook so hard you were worried he would tear it right out of the door. The bathroom was small and with not much space to work with, you backed up, nearly tripping on the rug in front of the bathtub. Your breathing was too rapid to gain control so you bent over, struggling for air that just wouldn't come. Panic had nearly engulfed your entire being.
The door shook a few times as slammed himself into it over and over again. Whatever the door was made of, it held up surprisingly well under the assault.
But it wouldn't hold forever.
You'd sealed your fate by running. There was no way he'd let you live now. And why would you trap yourself in the bathroom of all places? It was windowless. No means of escape. It just happened to be the first door offering meager protection in your panicked state. If only you'd had the sense to make it to the bedroom where the window led out onto the fire escape.
"Come out now!" He screamed from the other side. "There's nowhere to run!"
Your legs hit the porcelain of the tub. Stepping into it, you crouched low and hugged your knees. Yes, you'd successfully trapped yourself, but you did have one thing going for you. He shot at you. One of your neighbors must've heard the commotion. At least you hoped so. All you had to do was wait him out and hope the door held until help arrived.
The kicking stopped. A part of you prayed that he'd finally come to his senses and fled while he had the chance. Silence filled the bathroom, ringing loudly in your ears as you held your breath. Tears leaked onto your knees, soaking your pajamas. You stared down at one of the masked faces of Deku adorning your knee. You needed him right now, but how in the world was he supposed to know that? The knowledge that he wasn't coming was turning your panic into full-blown hysterics.
There was a small click from the other side of the door. You didn't even have a chance to react as a bullet shot through the thick wood, impaling itself in the tile above your head. With a scream, you threw yourself flat against the tub, hoping it would provide at least some protection. A second shot tore through the curtains.
"Help!" you cried as loudly as you could. "Help!"
A third shot shattered the side of the toilet bowl, spilling water everywhere.
You curled tighter into yourself, squeezing your eyes shut.
Expecting a fourth shot, you covered your ears, but instead, a loud thud shook the floor outside. Freezing, you listened in the terse silence, the sound of your breath too loud in your ears. It seemed too good to be true…had someone finally come?
Tumblr media
Izuku landed on the sidewalk in front of the six-story walkup. In the darkness of the late-night air, he saw only a few windows glowing with life. His eyes scanned the side of the building, searching out the right floor and- there. The faint glow from the living room drifted through the curtains. So he knew he wouldn't be waking you up, at least.
He entered the lobby, shoes squeaking in the quiet emptiness, and jogged up the stairs that lead to the fifth floor.
The building itself was pretty old. A single elevator sat permanently out of commission, much to the ire of the other residents. Most of the rooms could use a fresh coat of paint…and probably a few other repairs. But rent was cheap and with opening his own agency only a year ago, his savings would take a while to grow back.
You didn’t seem to mind. Working yourself to the ground trying to make your own path with your career. While the place itself was a bit old and rundown, it was what you two joyfully called home because it was where each other was. And that's all you could really ask for in this life.
Izuku had made it to the third floor when he heard the distinct sound of gunfire from above. It was muffled, but there was no mistaking the sound, especially in his line of work. That sense of dread floating in his veins seemed to pool right into his stomach as he boosted himself up the last two flights.
When the door came into view, he stopped, taking in the sight with dread.
The door was slightly ajar.
Someone was inside.
With you.
A second shot fired off and one of the neighboring doors peeked open. An elderly man popped his head out of the door looking rightfully alarmed. Izuku caught his attention with a finger to his lips and motioned for him to go back inside.
He made his way to the edge of the door and glanced inside. From his viewpoint, he could see the living room. There was a shattered vase on the floor, a black bag full of various things you two owned, and then there were the remnants of your crushed phone. But no signs of you or whoever fired that gun.
Another bullet fired further inside, and your scream was what got him moving double time. His quirk sparking around him like furious lightning, he launched himself past the living room. The commotion came from the hallway, and when he rounded the corner, he saw a man dressed in all black fire, another bullet into the bathroom door.
The bullet had barely left the chamber before Izuku slammed into the man with full unmerciful force. Both men collided with the wall at the end of the hall, cracking the plaster. An agonizing cry came from underneath him as the man curled around his arm, bent at an odd angle. He didn't put up much more of a fight as he groaned, glaring up at Izuku.
"You broke my arm!" He screamed as if Izuku was the one in the wrong. "Dammit!"
But the adrenaline was still pumping through his veins and with no fight to serve as a proper output for his fury, he slammed the wall beside the intruder's head with a boiling cry of outrage, making a fist-sized hole in the wall. Walls, he could replace. Heads, not so much.
At the sudden violent outburst, the man stiffened, blinking the rain of dust out of his eyes. He snapped his mouth shut, eyes wide with terror.
Once Izuku took a few breaths to calm himself down, he wrenched the criminal off the wall, only to slam him belly-first into the floor. Pressing a foot down on his back, he used a set of zip ties from his belt to secure the writhing mess of a man beneath him. He didn't care to be gentle as he nudged the criminal on his side and tied his hands tight, ignoring the sobs spilling from his mouth. He moved down to his legs and tied those two. Just to be sure, this bastard wasn't going anywhere until Izuku decided what to do with him.
"No, no, no," the intruder cried weakly into the floor, struggling with his binds. "It wasn't- argh- it wasn't supposed to go this way. It's all her fault!"
He glared down at the whining mess struggling to free himself. "You'll pay for your mistakes. If you hurt her at all," he squatted low to make sure he was listening. "I swear you'll regret it for the rest of your life."
With that, Izuku turned his attention to the bathroom door, now decorated with a few bullet holes. He made his way over until he stood just outside it, trying to hear any signs of life within. It was silent and that perhaps scared him more than anything. Just what would he find in there after this disaster of a night?
You were everything to him. If something were to happen to you, he honestly wasn't sure what he'd do. This wasn't supposed to happen. Not in the safety of your home. Not when Izuku-Deku- is supposed to be watching your back. Not to someone as perfect and as kind as you.
Shaky fingers gripped the knob and turned, only to be stopped by the lock. When he called your name, a slight wobble to his voice, he only heard silence for a few terrifying moments before the subtle sounds of movement came from inside.
"…Izuku?" you asked quietly, sniffling and not entirely trusting. "Is that really you?"
"It's me. I'm here. Everything's okay now. You're safe, I promise." He leaned his head against the wood, trying to tamper down his own racing heart. "I'm so sorry."
The door unlocked and swung open so fast, that he barely even registered it before you crashed into him with a fierce hug, squeezing as tight as you could manage around his bulky frame. The fabric of his uniform twisted in your grasp. You buried your face as deep into his chest as you could and let out a shaky sob. In one long breath, you let all your fear and terror out.
"H-How'd you even know to come?" you asked, voice muffled by the cloth but unwilling to let go just yet.
His arms curled tight around you. A secure embrace you were grateful for and melted into it. You felt him trembling almost as much as you. He had been just as terrified as you were, maybe for different reasons, but still the same fear.
"I…I don't know." He admitted into your hair. "I just…I had a feeling."
And he would forever be grateful to the fates for whatever reason they decided to give him the instincts to come. But at the moment, all he cared about was that you were here, alive, and safe in his arms.
"I'm glad you did," you spoke softly, your emotions finally reigning themselves in a bit. "I don't even want to think about what would've-" you paused, your mouth not quite able to form the rest of the sentence.
He didn't want to say it either. Just thinking about the worst-case scenario had him shuddering at the thought. What if he had ignored his instinct tonight? Would you even be alive after he would've eventually come home hours from now?
Sparing a glance at the man who was too absorbed in pleading his case to the floor, he twisted you around so you wouldn't have to look at him.
"He didn't hurt you, did he?" Izuku gently cupped your red puffy face in his hands. Those giant green eyes laced with concern as he searched for any sign of pain.
"I don't think so." That much was true, at least in the physical sense. But you did a quick cursory check of your limbs and, finding them still intact, you grasped his wrists. "Thank you. You saved me. He would've- I might've-" stammering out the words, your raw voice dissolved into a puddle, and you pulled him in for another tight hug.
As you hicciped into his uniform, he could only hug you tighter. A light kiss to the crown of your head, and he leaned in to whisper, "I will always be there for you. I promise."
"You won't leave?" you murmured, voice vibrating directly into his heart.
"I won't leave," he assured you, gently swaying from side to side. "I'll stay right here by your side for the rest of the night. For the rest of your life if that's what it takes.
He felt your body sag in relief. Your fingers curled into the creases of the fabric. You let out a deep, slightly shaky breath.
It wasn't a lie.
He would stick by your side for as long as you would let him. You were the light of his life. The thing he looked forward to each and every day. The man would give anything up to make sure you stayed happy, healthy, and alive.
As you fought back the adrenaline slowly seeping from your body, he wrapped an arm around your waist, that look of concern still adorning his freckly face.
"Do you need to sit?"
"Maybe," you admitted, dropping your head into his shoulder and trusting he would have your weight should you stumble.
He led you to the couch where he could still keep an eye on the hogtied criminal down the hall and helped you ease into the cushions. You patted your knees and frowned. Your pants were dirty, smudging the print of his masked likeness.
"They're dirty," you muttered, poking the print. "And they were my favorite."
Izuku, despite the situation, blushed as he stared down at your pants. "They were?"
"Yeah. But I suppose as long as I have the real version with me, I can manage." You leaned back, taking his hand and curling yourself around his arm as he stood vigil over you while you waited for the police. "You're a good hero Izuku. And you just keep proving it. There isn't a doubt in my mind that you'll be Number One someday."
As you closed your eyes, you didn't catch the red dusting his cheeks, but you did hear the way his breath hitched in his throat. You smiled something small and wobbly as you scrubbed the last of the tears from your face. Finally, you let yourself relax a little, knowing you were safe with him. There was solace in knowing he'd always be right there by your side.

jayfeather2920: Jack is adopted by the Decepticons, next of the story of Drac0shka. Maybe Megatron and the others keep Jack away from super human stuff so he don’t wanna leave. And eventually Soundwave shows him stuff and the kid ends up wanting to go to school. (Tumblr request in comment)
Since Jack already knows the human world thanks to Soundwave and Starscream, seen in the previous episode, I will change the story a little. But don't worry, it will stay in the same style ;).
~~~
As had been decided Jack could leave the Nemesis to explore Earth one day per month. Still far from human civilization, which Megatron considered unworthy of being close to his child. Either way, the experience with the MECH had definitely convinced him that humans should stay as far away from the boy as possible.
A year had passed since this decision was made, and each time Jack showed greater and greater interest in humans and their lives, which he could only see from afar.
During an outing with Starscream, the boy looked longingly at the great city not far from them, beyond the mountains. The child looked at the Seeker several times, hesitating to ask him what he wanted, because deep down he already suspected the answer he was going to receive.
"What's the matter? asked the jet, finally noticing the hesitant look of the little one.
- Nothing…
- Don't try to lie to me, Jack. I can see you want to talk to me about something."
The brunette sighed a little, before returning his gaze towards the city. The flyer followed his gaze, and it didn't take long for him to understand.
“You know it’s too dangerous. Starscream said.
- I know... but I would really like to see what it's like there... I would like to interact with other humans, people like me.
- Megatron would not agree, and you know it.
- But I know that you are not entirely against it… It is for me to communicate with my peers that you taught me English, right?
-And in a way I regret… That's what made Silas do everything possible to extract information from you. If you hadn't known how to speak English, it wouldn't have been possible.
- But nothing happened in the end! I didn't tell them anything!
- I know, but it could have been very different. I'm sorry, Jack, but humans are far too dangerous for you... Besides, what could you do with primitives like that! You'd be bored with them, that's for sure!
- How can you know?
- I know, that's all.
- What an answer...
- Don't start being insolent, otherwise I'll cancel our outing.
- Oh no!!"
Jack sulked silently, and sat down on the ground at the edge of the cliff, letting his feet dangle above. It was then that the child saw humans approaching. Starscream frowned, deciding it was best to go, but when he turned to the boy to urge him to leave, the child was already running towards the path.
The Seeker raised his wings in surprise, and suddenly squeezed them when he saw that Jack was taking the path towards those damn hikers. The jet began to panic, before setting off in pursuit of the little brown-haired boy, who was doing whatever he wanted.
“Jack!! Come back here right now!!" ordered the flyer sharply and angrily.
The child managed to slip through different paths, far too steep for Starscream, who found it increasingly difficult to catch the kid on this unstable terrain. Jack smiled with pride, before feeling his foot lose the ground.
The boy let out an exclamation, before starting to fall, under the frightened gaze of the Seeker. The brunette closed his eyes, when he felt that he was suddenly caught up. The jet quickly hid behind the rocks, while the tallest of the group of humans helped Jack back onto his legs.
“Well, kid, be careful. You could have hurt yourself. the imposing man scolded softly.
- Um… yes… sorry…
- What are you doing here alone? Aren't you at school?
- School?"
The woman who was with him leaned towards Jack, then asked:
"Where are your parents ?
- Um… They're not far away, I was going to join them.
- Will it be okay alone?
- Yes, don't worry."
A young man raised his phone to the sky, searching for a connection, while the adults looked after the lost child. Jack couldn't hide his interest in this strange object, which didn't seem very sophisticated compared to what he knew.
The boy managed to slip out of the group, and greeted them quickly, before leaving in a hurry, knowing that he wouldn't be able to continue lying for long if he was asked too many questions.
It wasn't long before Starscream joined him, and to say he was worried and angry was an understatement. The Seeker didn't know whether to scold Jack for his recklessness, or just be relieved to see him safe.
The jet called for a ground bridge, cutting the exit short, much to the child's dismay, although he understood very well why. What he had done may have been stupid, but he was still happy to have managed to communicate with members of his species. They didn't look evil like the MECH ones, quite the contrary. The flyer turned to Jack, as the portal opened, and said:
"Not a word about this incident to Megatron, is that clear?
- Yes."
The brunette had every reason in the world to hide this event. Firstly because he didn't want Megatron and Starscream to argue again, but also because he didn't want to be private of his monthly release.
When the duo arrived in the ship, KnockOut had a rather worried look on his face, and approached them. The Seeker frowned, and wanted to ask him what was going on, when he heard the voice of the leader of the Decepticons yelling:
“Jack! Starscream! Come to the main room! Now"
The two did not delay in coming, knowing that it would not help their case to arrive late. The ex-gladiator was more than angry, curtly beckoning them to come forward.
"Well, what's the problem? questioned the jet.
- Do you really want to play ignorant, Starscream? Megatron growled.
- To pretend to ignore something, I still have to know what I should ignore. And here I admit to you that I don't see it. We didn't do anything wrong!"
Jack nodded quickly, imitating the flyer, and pretending not to understand what the leader of the Decepticons was getting at. That's when the two saw Laserbeak land on the ex-gladiator's shoulder, while Soundwave was right behind, and showed the video of Jack's altercation with the hikers. Megatron crossed his arms, then asked:
"You were saying?"
Starscream had a much less confident expression, his wings conveying his unease, while the duo was clearly at a dead end.
“Ooh… that… the Seeker stammered. Ah but yes... it comes back to me now... It's crazy, it was so unimportant that I ended up forgetting it...!
- Unimportant you say?! declared the leader of the Decepticons, frowning.
- Well... not completely... But nothing happened... so... Let's move on, uh...?
- Ignoring this incident is my last choice!"
Jack looked at the two robots, looking for a solution to quickly defuse the tense situation that was developing. It was then that the words of the man he had met came back to his mind: “What are you doing here alone? Aren't you at school?" The boy didn't know why he remembered it, or if it would help him, but decided to give it a try anyway.
"I want to go to school!"
The Transformers looked surprised at the little brunette, and Megatron became even angrier.
“Look what this incident did to Jack!
- No need to panic! Starscream glared. He probably just wants to take lessons from Soundwave, as usual.
- No! Otherwise he would have said he wanted to take lessons! Not that he wanted to go to school! You see! Just one interaction with these damn humans, and he already wants to do just like them!
- What's so bad? Jack asked quietly. I'm human after all.
- Outwardly yes! But your education is far superior! Nothing to do with these unimportant organics!"
The child said nothing, but still found that the Decepticons were not always very clear in their speech. Very often contradictory. They hated humans, but he was the exception. They hated being in contact with anything organic, but had no trouble picking him up and touching him.
So he wasn't really convinced by all that... He also didn't really know if the Decepticons saw him as a human. Were they afraid he would become one? The boy lowered his head gently, then replied:
“I would just like to know my fellow human beings better, to learn their history. And then also... having friends, having fun with children my age...
- For that, you don't have to go to school. replied the ex-gladiator.
- Megatron… Starscream intervened.
- I don't allow you to be so familiar with me, Starscream.
- Try to understand Jack, you have to face the facts that one outing a month is no longer enough for him.
- Don't you care what could happen to him or what?!
- I did! But I'm also well aware that this is not a viable situation for him! I understand that you want to protect him, especially after what happened with MECH! But that was a year ago now!
- You agreed with me, I'll remind you! You too are aware that the outside world is too dangerous for him!
- It's dangerous for everyone! Jack is growing up, it's normal for him to want to discover, to go out, to meet other people, especially humans!
- Why humans?! Jack, have you forgotten what they did to you?!"
The little boy shook his head, before declaring:
"No, and I haven't forgotten how much you helped me either. But I also don't want to deny who I am, I'm human, and I'm not ashamed of it. The fact that I want to know my fellow human beings does not mean that I want to separate from you, nor that I want to be like them. I love you more than anything in the world, I will never leave you. I am who I am, and I don't want to change how I was made."
Megatron seemed to calm down at this statement, and Starscream said:
“Wanting to discover new things does not mean that he no longer loves us. You have to let him take flight. Novelty is an integral part of his evolution, you must accept it, Lord Megatron."
The leader of the Decepticons knelt before Jack, then asked:
“Are you sure everything will be okay for you?
- Don't worry, I know how to defend myself now. And then, I know that Laserbeak will always be nearby to watch over me."
The boy gave Soundwave's minicon an affectionate look, who responded with a soft trill. The ex-gladiator looked at Starscream, who simply nodded, his wings indicating his trust in the child. Megatron sighed, before getting up, and said:
"Alright. It's OK."
Jack's eyes were bright with joy, and he was about to thank the leader of the Decepticons, when the latter added:
“On the other hand, I’m warning you, if anything happens I want you to talk to me about it. If a human hurts you, I will take care of them personally!
- Yes! Of course!
- And no more secrets or lies!
- Promise! Promise!
- That goes for you too, Starscream!"
The Seeker had a surprised expression, and crossed his arms, before retorting:
“I lie if I want!”
The little brunette laughed at the slight confrontation, sensing no real hostility in the conversation. He jumped with joy, before heading towards his room, to look up everything he had to know about the school and its customs. He understood that it was a place to learn, but he had the feeling that many other things were possible there.
“I hope I don’t make a mistake. Megatron sighed.
- I'm sure we can trust Jack. He will make mistakes, but deep down we know he will get through it." replied the Seeker.
Soundwave nodded slowly, sure and certain that everything would be fine for their brave little Decepticon.
Post-series • AU • Kate and Rick have a 5-month-old son. (named Teddy because my brain literally cannot think of anything else. Real name, nickname, I don't care).
Daddy’s Jealous
When those first, sleepy cries echoed through the baby monitor as the sun rose, she groaned and gently nudged his shin with the heel of her foot.
She expected his usual mumbled “S’your turn” - especially so considering he had volunteered himself for the 2am bottle - but he pressed a kiss to her shoulder before slipping from the sheets and plodding upstairs.
After several quiet minutes, soft grunts and coos filled the sleepy silence of the loft. She pried her eyes open, one at a time, and looked toward the door where her boys stood in the soft glow of morning sun, smiling brightly at her.
“Good morning, Mommy,” Castle whispered as he waved their son’s hand in the air.
“Morning,” she sung back as she shuffled upright in bed, leaning back against the headboard.
“I wasn’t going to wake you but I figured, seeing as his last feed was bottle…”
“Yeah, I’ve got it.” She unbuttoned her pyjama top before slipping it out of her way and reaching out for Teddy.
"Ah, I remember the days when I had to actually put a considerable amount of effort into seeing your boobs," Castle reminisced as he passed his son off to his wife.
She laughed heartily. "Now they're just out... all the time."
"Hey, I'm not complaining," he assured her with a beaming smile. "Have you got everything you need?"
"Yeah, I'm good." She looked up at him, smiling, once Teddy was latched and settled. "Thank you."
He pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "I'll be right back."
***
He came back into the room fifteen minutes later with a tray of breakfast: coffee, a slice of toast and an assortment of fresh fruit cut up into easy bite-sized pieces for her.
Her eyes widened and her mouth opened slightly as she watched him place the tray on the bedside table.
"For me?" she asked, still awed by all these little things that he does for her.
"It certainly is," he said with a smile, tilting his head as he took in the relaxed state of his wife and son. "Is he all done?"
"Yeah, think so." She looked down at their beautiful boy's face and bright blue eyes looked back at her. "He's just kinda nuzzling now."
"Good job," he praised Teddy, taking him from Kate's arms. "You eat your breakfast, we'll go get dressed."
He turned and began to walk away, cooing and talking to their son. "We're going to try on a new outfit today. I think Mommy is going to love it."
***
When Castle returned, he held Teddy's back to his chest so that the boy had a perfect view of his surroundings. As soon as his eyes landed on Kate, he grinned a wide, gummy grin and jerked his arms and legs around excitedly.
"Hey, Baby," she greeted him enthusiastically. "Look at you!"
She laughed, taking in the new outfit: a fluffy white bath robe with matching white slippers.
"That might be the cutest thing I have ever seen," she mooned.
"Might be?" Castle gasped theatrically, cupping his palm over Teddy's ear. "Don't you listen to her!"
"As adorable as this is, don't you think it's a little warm for him to be so wrapped up?"
"You're totally right," he agreed - too easily in her opinion - as he laid Teddy down on the bed in front of Kate. "You should unwrap him."
She raised her brow at him, knowing him well enough to know that he was definitely up to something.
Slowly, she reached out for the neatly tied bow of the teeny tiny robe and pulled on it. Teddy kicked and squealed excitedly.
"Is there a surprise under here?" she asked, as she gently poked at the boy's chubby thighs. "Hey? Have you got a surprise for Mommy?"
Teddy squealed again, flapping his arms around.
Kate opened the robe to reveal a onesie she didn't recognise. After quickly reading the words printed on it, she shook her head and rolled her eyes, but couldn't stifle her grin.
My Daddy is jealous... I had BOOBS for breakfast.
Kate leant down and placed an exaggerated kiss on Teddy's cheek, pulling back with a loud pop of her lips that had the infant giggling hysterically.
"Your daddy is so silly," she cooed.
Triple Frontier Story request/idea
I have an idea/request for a Triple Frontier story. What if Santiago had a teenage daughter that he knows about but doesn’t really see and he misses all the important parts of his daughter’s life because he is always away. So he is a deadbeat dad and when it is her milestone birthday or Christmas but he never turns up and she knows that he won’t. Also Frankie is her godfather. If someone has been wanting to write a Santiago Garcia story and needs an idea then you can use this one. I would write it myself but I find that seeing others writing a story based on an idea you created, with permission or credit of course, it just so much more fun to read than if I wrote it. If someone does then please don’t add a romance oc into it as that just ruins the idea for me.
is there anychance i can request a little!reader x technoblade (Dream SMP) please? techno is big comfort character..👉👈 if you need a idea to go off maybe something to do with the reader waking up from a nightmare or needing to sleep but being scared of the dark?
Okay, so this ask came in ages before the news of Techno's passing came out. Due to how it affected me, I won't be doing any Technoblade stories for the time being. It's taken me a while since he was also a comfort character since his character was definitely a 'I hate everyone but you' type of vibe. But one day I will be writing about him. Once I feel comfortable I will come back to this ask though!
Story Requests? I Guess?
I’ve been….
Very….
Very bored lately.
So, I’m gonna put this out there to cure my boredom.
I want to write short stories.
But I have no ideas.
So….
If anybody has a story idea they want me to write, lemme know.
I kinda suck at stories that have detailed characters or stories that include other book’s or anime’s characters, so I don’t do those.
I mainly do psychological gore horror, but I can do other genres, too.
So if anybody wants to request a story, just lemme know.
Oh! Two more things.
1. I don’t do well writing anything relationshippy or lovey-dovey or smut stuff, so I won’t write those.
2. You can make a story request any way you want. Give me a random ass word, maybe a sentence or a fully fleshed out story idea, or a picture. Idc. I’ll try to write a story for it.
What if TFP Starscream after his ‘Airachnid gets his Job’ Plan fails... he tries to get Dreadwing + Shockwave to take his Commander Job instead... But Soundwave keeps stopping him! 💜
Tumblr media
Yes I got two similar X). Thank you for your requests ^^! I'm going to change one thing, and that's the fact that Soundwave manipulates Starscream. Soundwave knows that it would only work in the short term, moreover if Starscream manages to free himself from it he clearly risks killing Soundwave. Starscream doesn't hate Soundwave in TFP. So, I think I'm going more towards a BROTP: 3. Soundwave pushes Starscream to stay Commander yes, but he's going to be more of someone who listens than someone who totally forces against Starscream's will.
~~~
Starscream was still prisoner of his position as Second in Command, and could feel Soundwave's insistent gaze on his shoulders every day. The Seeker didn't even know how that was possible! This fragger didn't even have a face!
When Dreadwing arrived at the Decepticons, the small jet did everything possible to leave his rank to the large Seeker. This time his technique was a little different than with Airachnid. He induces Dreadwing to take the job, discretly, doing his best so the Communications Commander doesn't notice.
And as the thought slowly germinated in the mind of the big jet, as Starscream wished, the spy plane came and ruined everything, as he knew so well. Soundwave simply listened, while Dreadwing shared his wish to replace the smaller Seeker, who wasn't really cut out for the job.
Much to Starscream's horror, the Communications Commander manages to completely change Dreadwing's mind, destroying the small jet's hard work with the snap of a finger. The Seeker had to do his best to cover up his rage and distress every day, as the spy plane kept on thwarting his plans.
He had a new ray of hope in his Spark when Shockwave arrived, with his cursed Predacon. Starscream then devised a multi-step plan, which he knew would work in the scientist's favor, without endangering the life of the jet.
The flyer was assigned to train the Predacon, but he had no desire! That's why he decided just not to. Thus, he hoped that Megatron would realize that Starscream didn't have "the necessary mindset" to fill such an important role as Second in Command. He knew that not performing a task would lead to punishment, but it was a blessing in disguise.
The second step was to "accidentally" compliment Shockwave, preferably in front of Megatron, but also in front of other robots. Starscream always made sure to put a touch of irony, but with a grain of truth so strong that only the positive side of the remark stood out, highlighting the qualities of the Cybertronian tank.
Soundwave had a much harder time convincing his friend that Starscream was best suited to be the Commander. It hurt to admit it, but the Seeker had played his game very well. Especially since he had convinced not only Megatron, but also the Vehicons and the other Decepticons. Even Dreadwing was reconsidering his judgment, despite the speech from the Communications Commander.
“It may be time to change Commander. declared the leader of the Decepticons.
- …….
- You don't agree, Soundwave?
- < What > < will > < do > < Starscream > < ? >
- He'll look for energon for us, that's what an Energon Seeker is basically for.
- ………
- He's not even damned to take care of the Predacon, how could I entrust him with our attack plans?
- ………
- You barely speak, but I can hear your disapproval.
- < Starscream > < important > ……
- Mostly incompetent. Even though he says it accidently, deep down he knows that Shockwave is more qualified than him. »
“Accidently, what a joke!" thought the spy plane with a hint of anger. He didn't know whether to be in awe of Starscream's manipulative skills, or deeply annoyed.
“< Starscream > < strategist > < , > < Shockwave > < scientist > < . > argued Soundwave.
- Shockwave is just as strategist."
The Communications Commander clenched his fists, realizing that he could no longer fully defend the Seeker. If it continued like this, the jet was going to get what he wanted, but that meant jeopardizing the Decepticon cause!
Despite Shockwave's great intelligence, and scientific genius, the Cybertronian tank lacked the qualities of Starscream. The cyclops robot could sometimes be naive, and easily manipulated, due to his logic-only thinking.
Besides, Shockwave wasn't loyal to the cause, he was loyal to science! He was with them only because he had scientific freedoms that he would not have elsewhere. Starscream was admittedly not a loyal robot, especially to Megatron, but Soundwave had no doubts about his devotion to the Decepticon cause.
And, the scientist might be as strategic as the Seeker, but then again his logic-only thinking and his lack of emotions meant he didn't care about the consequences as long as he could achieve the same result. So that the jet was always considering the most effective plan with the least possible loss, in case it fails.
The Communications Commander had plenty of other arguments, but he knew that would never be enough. But he had no intention of letting the flyer win. Oh no! The Decepticons needed Starscream, despite their ingratitude it was a fact. The spy plane had no intention of letting their cause die because of that pesky Seeker's little depression. He decided to play a card he never thought he would play.
~
When Megatron summoned Starscream and Shockwave, the jet was over the moon, knowing full well what that meant. He could hear some robots talking to each other, noting that his plan had worked wonderfully. Everyone wanted the scientist as Commander! And even if it hurt the Seeker, he knew it was necessary.
The flyer now had no doubt that he no longer wanted to be Commander. No one had ever acknowledged his work, assuming it was easy or something. None of them knew what it was like to be in that position while being deeply hated by their leader. Really it was not easy.
Starscream had to bear a constant weight on his shoulders for millennia, which over time had become harder and harder to bear. He was fed up with his boss, he was fed up with this perpetual ingratitude, he had just had enough, of everything...
The Seeker and the scientist joined Megatron in the main hall, and the ex-gladiator approached, accompanied by his trusty Soundwave. A few Vehicons were working on the computers, not paying particular attention to the meeting taking place nearby. The jet glared at the Communications Commander, accompanied by a small triumphant smile, clearly defying the spy plane to prevent what was about to come.
“If I gathered you here, it is because what I am going to talk about concerns you both.
- Is there a problem, Lord Megatron? questioned the Cybertronian tank.
- No, none. I want to make you a proposal.
- A proposal? asked the Seeker, falsely incredulous.
- It has come to me in the hallway that the post of Second in Command should be revisited."
The jet lifted his wings, and while the leader of the Decepticons thought it was surprise, Soundwave easily guessed it was joy.
"What is your proposal, Lord Megatron? asked the scientist.
- It's especially for you that it will be a big change, Shockwave."
The flyer had to hide his hands shaking with excitement, a door to freedom slowly opening before him, letting in the light of hope.
"Shockwave, I suggest you share the position of Second in Command with Starscream!"
The door slammed shut so abruptly that the wind from the impact sent an icy shiver through the Seeker's body. The jet couldn't hide a stunned expression, which didn't go unnoticed by the leader of the Decepticons.
“If you weren't so incompetent, this scenario would never have come up. You should be grateful to Soundwave, it's thanks to him that you can keep your job."
The Communications Commander tensed a little, when he faced Starscream's death gaze. The flyer looked at him with so much hatred and rage, that it was impossible for Soundwave not to feel the ravaging emotions of the Seeker. He could almost hear his thoughts, which swore he was going to kill him.
"Ah… frag…" the jet hissed angrily, fists clenched.
His wings rose in spite of himself, and everyone could feel his rage.
"Frag… what more do you need…? growled the flyer. It's so hard to leave me alone…?!"
Starscream turned to Shockwave, then exclaimed:
“And you, you don’t say anything?! You're OK with that?!
- What's got into you all of a sudden?" asked the scientist.
Everyone except Soundwave was really confused by the behavior of the Seeker, who continued to vent his anger.
“How could you even convince him that there was still something to save?! How?! Frag! What exactly is going on in your head?! Wouldn't it be MORE LOGICAL that our illustrious Shockwave, great scientist, be the only one to be Second in Command?!!"
Megatron tensed, beginning to understand where the jet was coming from, and he didn't even try to hide his rage. He approached quickly towards the flyer, who gave a start of surprise when he saw him arrive. The leader of the Decepticons violently slapped Starscream, who crashed to the ground.
"What does it mean?! Did you intend to abandon the cause?!" cried out the ex-gladiator.
The Seeker's wings tightened behind his back, before rising. He put a hand on his aching cheek, before glaring deathly at his leader.
“Like if you care?! growled the jet. You hardly tolerate me!"
The ex-gladiator grabbed the flyer by the neck, and lifted him, pushing him on his legs, before shouting:
“Does your treachery have no limits?!
- I never said I was leaving the cause, you old fragger!
- Remember who you're talking to!"
Megatron roughly shook Starscream, who clawed at his arm in a futile attempt to break free.
“Why are you so keen on me being Commander?! Damn! None of you realize what I'm doing for you, why should I continue?! Huh?! You can all get frag! I refuse to give you plans! Anyway you never follow them!"
The leader of the Decepticons pushed the Seeker to the ground, but that didn't stop him:
“I do everything for us to win! But all of you, you do as you please, ending up ignoring the plan! You in particular! the jet pointed an accusing finger at Megatron. And when it fails, you blame me! You fragging blame me for this! I've had enough! You can always dream that I accept this agreement!"
The jet hurriedly left the room, while the ex-gladiator ordered him to come back. Soundwave put a hand on his friend's shoulder, to calm him down, before shaking his head. He looked at Megatron, then said:
“< I'll talk to him. >"
~
Starscream was sitting on the floor, his head buried in his arms resting on his charging table. He couldn't help crying, as the prison he had tried to get out of was permanently locked, sealed to prevent him from leaving this daily hell.
The Seeker lifted his wings when he heard a knock on the door, and his energon radar picked up Soundwave's signal. He really was the last person he wanted to see. The jet clenched his fists, before screaming:
"Go away!
- < Starscream > … gently called the Communications Commander.
- Go away! Or I'll kill you!"
The spy plane ignored the threat, and hacked into Starscream's bedroom door, eventually succeeding to open it, after going through all the firewalls. The Seeker turned angrily to Soundwave, who slowly stepped into the room.
He could see claw marks dotting the walls, as well as splintered data pads on the floor, most of which were now unusable. The jet clenched his fists and teeth, then hissed:
“You came to celebrate your victory? Make fun of my failure…? Are you happy now...? Megatron knows, he'll never leave me alone now… *Sigh*… hopefully he'll kill me…”
The spy plane shook his head, then knelt before Starscream, who frowned, slapping the comforting hand of the Communications Commander.
“You ruined everything… I hate you…
- < Really > < ? >
- … I should hate you, but part of me can't… Part of me can't help thinking that if you're doing all this, it's because you think I'm important…
- It's the case."
The Seeker looked surprised at Soundwave, when he could have sworn that the sentence he had just heard did not come from a recording.
“You are important to the cause, Starscream. Whatever Megatron says. Without you we are lost, stay.
- Tch… You really think your flattery is going to convince me?! You dream!"
The jet looked away, hiding his blush as well as possible. Finally, the flyer's wings dropped, unable to hide his grief any longer.
"Why continue...? No one trusts me… and that will be even truer now… there's no point Soundwave anymore… I don't even know why I kept going for so long…
- ………
- And you know the worst thing is that everything I said hurt me more than the others… surely they don't care, or have already forgotten it… But me… I just realized that I've wasted my life all this time, for nothing...
- ……
- Then, why continue, huh?! Why do you want me to stay in this position so badly?! Can't you see that I've become useless?!
- … Without you, we are lost… The cause needs you…
- No!
- ……
- I can't anymore… it's too hard…! I just want...
- …….
- I don't even know what I want anymore…! I'm tired of everything, I'm fed up! I've never been happier than trying to get rid of that damn job, because I imagined at that time that everything would be better…! But you ruined everything, Soundwave, everything!
- You are in a high position, you are important.
- Ah! This post is a joke! I'm the buffoon at most! I have enough! You don't know how I felt during all those cycles! You know nothing! I wake up every morning with the Spark heavy, and it's always a struggle to get up…! And again, that's when I manage to sleep…!
- …….
- I'm tired… ! I'm so stressed and tense that my body hurts…! I don't even remember the position we use to express relief with the wings…! Not even joy…!
- The position of Commander is necessarily stressful.
- You don't understand…!! It's not the job itself that's hard, it's the others around me…! They keep criticizing my work or my strategies…! Worst of all being Megatron…! If I keep this post I stay close to him…! I don't want that anymore...!
- ……
- Why aren't you the Second in Command?! You're so perfect and awesome, wouldn't that be ideal?!"
Soundwave could pick up a hint of sarcasm, but he decided not to take it personally. The Seeker was so upset, the spy plane couldn't even blame him for that remark. The jet looked away from the Communications Commander, as he could feel the tears welling up in his optics.
"Go away now! You got what you want…! Starscream hissed, his voice cracking in grief.
- No… not at all… It wasn't what I want…
- You think that's the one I want…?! So, it's my fault, huh?!
- No!"
The flyer lifted his wings in surprise, and slowly turned to Soundwave, not even thinking to hide his tears as the Communications Commander's last word swirled around in his head.
“It's not your fault, Starscream. I should have listened more.
- Why are you so talkative all of a sudden…?
- Because it's necessary. You're important to the cause, and I think it's important that you hear those words.
- …
- You deserve that title, Starscream. No one can wear it as well as you.
- Oh… that's for sure… I'm the only one that Megatron wants to hit, I have to be nice as a punching bag… It's an honor, really…
- That's not what being Second in Command is…
- To me that's what it means...
- ………
- If I weren't so afraid of death, I think I would gone a while ago… You don't know what it's like to live in my place, Soundwave… Everyone hates me, despite my efforts… In addition, I feel like I'm getting lost every day, I can't even recognize myself in the mirror anymore…
- ………
- This post is killing me, Soundwave… It's killing me…
- ………
- It's too late now... too late..."
Starscream suddenly felt pulled by the arm, and couldn't hide his surprise at Soundwave's show of force, which pulled him straight out of the room, without the slightest difficulty.
“H- Hey! What are you doing?!" cried out the Seeker.
The Communications Commander gave no answer, deciding to revert to his legendary silence. The two arrived in the main room, and the Seeker immediately tried to flee again. He knew he shouldn't have said anything to the spy plane, he had been stupid!
Megatron angrily moved closer to the duo, but the jet knew full well that this rage was only directed at him. He tried to pull away from Soundwave's grasp, unsuccessfully, and closed the optics when he saw the Decepticons leader's hand rise above him.
The flyer heard the distinctive sound of metal shattering after a heavy blow, but strangely no pain followed. Starscream opened the optics, and raised his wings in shock when he saw Soundwave stagger, before getting straight back on his feet.
The ex-gladiator had a bewildered expression, while the Communications Commander took a protective stance in front of the Seeker. The jet wanted to say something, but the spy plane did not give him time to do so, declaring:
“< If > < Starscream > < commits > < an > < error > < hit > < me > < ! >"
Everyone was shocked at this speech, and the flyer exclaimed:
“Soundwave, what are you-?!"
Soundwave waved him down, then looked straight at Megatron. The leader of the Decepticons tried to check that his friend wasn't too hurt, but the Communications Commander gently backed away of the comforting gesture, before repeating:
“< If > < Starscream > < commits > < an > < error > < hit > < me > < ! >
- I will never be able to do that! snapped the ex-gladiator.
- < So > < why > < is it > < so > < easy > < with > < Starscream > < …? >
- …
- < Stop > < ! > < Starscream > < is > < important > < for > < the >< cause > ……”
Soundwave could hear murmurs around them, most disapproving of the spy plane's speech. But the Communications Commander had never been the type to be unsettled for so little.
“< Air Force > < ; > < Military training > < ; > < Energon > < ; > < Strategy > < : > < Function > < Starscream >”
A silence settled, allowing Soundwave to repeat what was most important to know and that many of them had ended up forgetting.
"< Starscream > < is > < important > < for > < the > < cause > < ! >"
He kept looking at Megatron throughout his speech, because if there was anyone who had forgotten the essentials, it was him.
"We have to stop this…" Soundwave whispered softly.
He turned to the Seeker, before extending his hand to him, and saying:
“Stay, Starscream."
The jet smiled, wings high and fearless, before accepting the outstretched hand of the one who had recognized him, then declared:
“For you, I will!"
The door opened slightly, letting in a thin film of light, which was enough to illuminate Starscream, prisoner of darkness for so long. He was finally able to see the ray of hope, which stood before him in the form of Soundwave.

”no time will be better” - prompts for that first kiss <3
prompt list by @novelbear
"woah."
the first initial kiss being a simple peck, then they immediately go back in for a stronger, more passionate one.
"are you sure about this?"
the hands. on the waist. oh my god.
^ then they feel themselves being pulled closer ??
taller gently grasping the shorter's chin
"that was...." "yeah."
a certain song playing while they have their moment and it becomes their song.
"sorry, that was my first kiss." "i could tell." "...." "i'm kidding!"
an accidental first kiss
"are we about to kiss right now?" "you are not serious."
awkward giggles right after
"well i guess that answers my question."
a hand (or both) placed gently on their cheeks!!!
"i'm sorry, i had to."
the uncontrollable smile they break into either after or during the kiss itself
"don't you dare tell anyone about this." "wasn't planning on it."
that panic beforehand while trying to figure out if they're really leaning in for a kiss or not.
someone's hair ending up getting caught in the other's glasses/jewelry
maybe one is awkward enough to the point where they're like "what the hell do i do with my hands?!"
feeling each other instantly relax as they both quickly get comfortable
"can we do that again? my eyes were closed." "oh my god."
their hearts stopping when they hear someone's camera click (a friend catching them in the act ?)
"so does this mean you feel the same or..?"
