The spiritual gift of knowledge is also known as the “word of knowledge” or “utterance of knowledge.” The Greek word for this gift is Gnosis and it simply means knowledge and understanding.

⁸ “The Spirit gives one person the ability to speak with wisdom. And the same Spirit gives another the ability to speak with knowledge.”

—1 Corinthians 12:8

⁴ “I always thank my God for you because of the grace that God has given you in Christ Jesus. ⁵ In Jesus you have been blessed in every way, in all your speaking and in all your knowledge. ⁶ The truth about Christ has been proved in you. ⁷ So you have every gift from God while you wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to come again.”

What we can conclude that the gift of knowledge is an understanding of the things in this world and in our lives that is founded in the Gospel and rooted in the Scriptures. This gift is closely related to the gift of wisdom which is alluded to by Paul in 1 Corinthians 1:18-31.

The Holy Spirit gives this spiritual gift to some believers to bring about understanding and to inform the church or individual believers. The person with this gift is usually well-versed in the Scriptures and often has much committed to memory. They can retain the truth and communicate it effectively at the appropriate times. The gift of knowledge allows a believer to relate the Scriptures, and particularly the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to all aspects of life in this world. They can see how it connects to every situation and circumstance and how the reality and truth of the Gospel is to inform every decision a Christian makes.

¹⁸ The teaching about the cross seems foolish to those who are lost. But to us who are being saved it is the power of God. ¹⁹ It is written in the Scriptures: “I will cause the wise men to lose their wisdom. I will make the wise men unable to understand.” -Isaiah 29:14 ²⁰ Where is the wise person? Where is the educated person? Where is the philosopher of our times? God has made the wisdom of the world foolish. ²¹ The world did not know God through its own wisdom. So God chose to use the message that sounds foolish to save those who believe it. ²² The Jews ask for miracles as proofs. The Greeks want wisdom. ²³ But we preach Christ on the cross. This is a big problem to the Jews. And it seems foolish to the non-Jews. ²⁴ But Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God to those people God has called—Jews and Greeks. ²⁵ Even the foolishness of God is wiser than men. Even the weakness of God is stronger than men. ²⁶ Brothers, look at what you were when God called you. Not many of you were wise in the way the world judges wisdom. Not many of you had great influence. Not many of you came from important families. ²⁷ But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. He chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. ²⁸ And he chose what the world thinks is not important. He chose what the world hates and thinks is nothing. He chose these to destroy what the world thinks is important. ²⁹ God did this so that no man can brag before him. ³⁰ It is God who has made you part of Christ Jesus. Christ has become wisdom for us from God. Christ is the reason we are right with God and have freedom from sin; Christ is the reason we are holy. ³¹ So, as the Scripture says, “If a person brags, he should brag only about the Lord.”

Clairvoyance (Clair's Pt2)

Clairvoyance is the spiritual gift that allows one to see images from the spiritual realm. It is receiving intuitive information by images. This includes seeing orbs or spirits, auras, and seeing images of the future.

*Disclaimer: Not everything is from the spiritual realm, your guides, etc. Mental illness/disorder, trauma, and medical issues can cause you to experience similar things as well. Don't hesitate to reach out towards someone from the medical field (doctors, psychiatrist, therapists, etc.) and take medications if prescribed!*

Some signs you might have clairvoyance is preferring visual learning when it comes to being in a class or any event that teaches. You can see colors around people also known as auras. You also see orbs floating around. Seeing ghosts or figures such as shadows looking like a person. Objects can also be seen in your mind. You have vivid dreams that seem real.

Receiving visual cues can be very helpful. You might have misplaced your keys and an image of where it is can appear in your mind. Ideas appear as images which gives you a sense of how it will or can look. Glimpse of the past and future may pop in you mind which can help you out. You can also receive help by dreams which can show you the next course of action.

Seeing with the second sight can also be quite scary to some people. You might wake up in the middle of the night and see a shadowy person in the corner of your room. Or see an orb flying about. You might be minding your business and an image just appears in your mind that catches you off guard. You might have a dream that is warning you about something and you wake up a bit shaken up.

To protect yourself pray to your god, goddess, ancestors, angels, etc. first thing in the morning, and before going to bed. To surround you and your spiritual gifts with a protective shield to help repel negative influences. Or if you don't have anyone to pray too then imagine yourself being surrounded in a white bubble of light that repels negativity. You can also carry certain crystals to protect yourself. Beings that genuinely care about you raise your spirit up. They NEVER put you down negatively, cause you any fear, or encourage negative beliefs like hurting yourself.

If it's a negative spirit, know you have power. You can smoke cleanse, do a banishing spell, use bells, etc.

If you would like to improve or become a clairvoyant, these exercises can help. Remember to protect yourself first for a positive experience :) Clairvoyance can be scary because of what one might end up seeing. If what you are seeing is bit overwhelming just say out loud that you feel uncomfortable, and if it can stop or appear as something else.

Under Your Eyelid

✨ Find a quiet and comfortable place.

✨You can sit or lie down. Close your eyes and relax.

✨Let your eyes go out of focus and concentrate on your third-eye.

✨When ready, focus your mind's eye on the images that are behind your eyelids.

✨You may see clear or fuzzy images. If the image is fast relax more and begin to slow down the images

✨When ready take a few slow breaths and return to the real world.

✨If you were able to see something, write down what you saw. Can you interpret your images to understand their meanings? If not you might ask your spirit guides to help you understand. Be patient, your answer might not come right away.

Eyes Wide Open

✨Do the same steps as above but instead of keeping your eyes closed, keep them open.

✨While doing step 3, you may suggest to yourself that you are comfortable and open to the psychic images that are waiting to help you grow intuitively.

✨You may start to see an image. Be patient and let this image slowly become clearer.

✨Allow yourself to watch and process this image. Know you can end it at anytime you want and return back to your normal vision.

The spiritual gift of prophecy is an extraordinary and unique gift. Paul says:

¹ “Make love your aim, but strive earnestly after the spiritual gifts, especially for that of prophecy.”

—1 Corinthians 14:1, Seek the Gifts That Build Up the Community

The Greek word for the gift of prophecy is propheteia which is the ability to receive a divinely inspired message and deliver it to others in the church. These messages can take the form of exhortation, correction, disclosure of secret sins, prediction of future events, comfort, inspiration, or other revelations given to equip and edify the body of Christ.

³ “On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to men for their building up, their encouragement, and their consolation. ⁴ Whoever speaks in a tongue builds himself up, but whoever prophesies builds up the Church.”

—1 Corinthians 14:3-4

This gift is a blessing to the church and should not be quenched or despised.

²⁰ “Do not despise prophecies.”

—1 Thessalonians 5:20

In the New Testament the Apostles, not the prophets, took over the role of Scriptural proclamation from the Old Testament Prophets.

Those who have the gift of prophecy differ from the Old Testament Prophets who spoke the authoritative Word of God directly. Their words were recorded as Scripture as they proclaimed, “Thus says The Lord,” whereas the messages from those with the spiritual gift of prophecy must be tested.

²⁹ “As for the prophets, let two or three speak, and let the rest weigh their words. ³⁰ Should a revelation be made to someone else who is sitting there, let the one who is speaking stop. ³¹ You can all prophesy, but one at a time, so that all may receive instruction and encouragement. ³² Indeed, the spirits of the prophets are subject to their prophets’ control, ³³ for God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the Churches of the saints,”

¹ Beloved, do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. ² This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, ³ and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the Antichrist, about whose coming you have been told, and that it is already in the world.

Again, the prophecies do not constitute the authoritative Word of God, but are the human interpretation of the revelation that was received. They are spoken in human words through a human mind which is why they must be tested against the Scriptures.

²⁰ Do not despise prophecies. ²¹ Test everything, and hold fast to what is good.

—1 Thessalonians 5:20-21

The Holy Spirit gives the gift of prophecy to some believers to make God’s heart known and to edify the church. This gift is for the benefit of both believers and unbelievers and is a sign that God is truly among His church.

²⁴ However, if everyone is prophesying and an unbeliever or uninstructed person should enter, he would be reproved by all and judged by all, ²⁵ and the secrets of his heart would be revealed. Then he would fall down and worship God, declaring, “God is truly in your midst.”

Those with this gift are sensitive to both the prompting of the Holy Spirit and the needs of the church body. They should be humble and continually study the Scriptures in order to test these revelations before speaking them. When they do speak, they should allow and even expect others to weigh what is said against the Scriptures and interpret the message accordingly. In this way the church may be continually built up together in unity.

⁴ “Whoever speaks in a tongue builds himself up, but whoever prophesies builds up the Church.”

—1 Corinthians 14:4

²² Clearly, then, tongues are intended as a sign not for believers but for unbelievers, while prophecy is designed not for unbelievers but for believers. ²³ Therefore, if the whole Church has assembled and everyone is speaking in tongues, would not any uninstructed person or any unbeliever on entering conclude that you are all out of your minds? ²⁴ However, if everyone is prophesying and an unbeliever or uninstructed person should enter, he would be reproved by all and judged by all, ²⁵ and the secrets of his heart would be revealed. Then he would fall down and worship God, declaring, “God is truly in your midst.”

²⁶ “And so, what then should be done, brethren? When you assemble, each of you should bring a psalm or some lesson or a revelation, or speak in a tongue, or offer an interpretation. Everything should be done with the goal in mind of building up.”
