"[Name]~ shouldn't you be heading to sleep?" your girlfriend calls sweetly into your study.

"I was just about to head in for the night," you reply, hoisting your bag over your shoulder and walking to meet her in the doorway, "Though I think you're the one that needs the reminder more than me."

Shinobu looks up at you with a wry grin, "But unlike me, you get grumpy when you're not well rested."

"True, but you need rest too. Why don't we head in together?" You wrap your arms gently around her waist, pulling her slender form into yours. She makes no move to escape, but doesn't reciprocate your embrace either.

"You know I can't, [Name], I'm busy."

"Hmm... can't you make an exception just this once? You've been overworking yourself, sweetheart, don't think I haven't noticed," You gently tilt her face upwards, bringing her violet eyes to meet yours.

"Try again another day, I have things to finish," She responds bluntly. All day you had hardly noticed the bags forming under her eyes, or the exhaustion in her tone, but as the day progressed her facade was beginning to slip.

"Not anymore you don't," You say with a giggle as you sharply lift her up and over your shoulder. She flails playfully, careful to not hurt you. Though she's small, she's terrifyingly strong.

"[Name]! Let me down!" Despite her every attempt to sound genuinely upset as you carry her down the hallway, you couldn't miss the few giggles escaping as she complained.

"Nope," You respond with a chuckle, "You get a good night's sleep and I get cuddles, it's a win-win."

About halfway down the hallway to your shared room at the butterfly estate, Shinobu accepts that you won't let her stay up until ungodly hours as she usually did. "At least let me walk then?"

You ponder for a moment before lifting her off your shoulder, setting her down, and promptly picking her up again - this time bridal style.

"You're such a bully," She mutters, turning away to hide her flushed cheeks. She's always so cute when she's flustered.

"Not anymore than you are~"

You open the door to your shared room with an awkward motion, toeing off your shoes and waiting for Shinobu to do the same. Upon realizing that you won't let her down, she kicks off her sandals, a motion more aggressive than necessary - perhaps to spite you for continuing to carry her.

Barefoot and exhausted, you drop her onto your shared bed and flop dramatically down next to her. Not bothering to change or adjust the blankets, you pull Shinobu close to your chest.

"Sleep well, sweetheart," You murmur, placing a gentle kiss to her forehead.

"I hate you," She mutters back, burying her face into your chest.

"Love you too~"

a/n: gotta love mitski. started writing this at like 2 in the the morning, couldn't get rid of the idea haha

throughout her life she had faced much hardship. this only increased as she took up her interest in becoming a pirate, but she had learnt to not care as much. but sometimes it would still get to her. so she had decided that she would learn not to care about what people thought of her, she wanted to do this and she wouldn't let people bring her down.

this meant that even after finding her people that respected her, she would not let anyone see the more vulnerable side to her. she would not let her emotions get the best of her. she had worked so hard to build up her reputation and earn the respect she now held that letting people see her sadness specifically would bring nothing but issues.

after a while, one of the only times she would express her real feelings was asking you out. you two had been very close for a while and she had found herself falling for you more and more every time she saw you. it was a rare moment of weakness for the captain but she trusted that even if you rejected her wouldn't exploit that weakness.

and after a while of dating you had noticed the facade she hid behind infront of her crew and other people. you could kind of understand why but it did upset you, you were part of few that have seen the real side to beidou and you cherised it and wanted her just to be herself all the time. but you knew the subject was most likely touchy so you wouldn't push until she was ready to talk about it.

however that opportunity came quicker than you thought. the crux was celebrating, what you didn't know but you joined in none the less, and you knew your girlfriend could be quite the heavy drinker in these situations. it was later in the night when you noticed she would probably have to stop now. so with much resistance for the captain, you dragged her back to her quarter after bidding fairwell to the crew.

even in her drunken stuper she couldn't help but gaze at you in fondness as you helped her get ready to go to bed. you were the person she trusted the most, and the person she cherished the most. and as you offered her a glass of water to try and lessen the pain for the morning, you panicked when small tears rolled down her face. you had never seen her cry before but she quickly realised in her drunken state and began trying to wipe them away. she didn't know why she was crying.

you placed the water to the side before gently grasping her hands in yours and placing a kiss to her forehead. you smiled and told her it was okay to cry, it was normal and it was healthy. this made her cry more, not sadness however but a weird feeling of fondness. maybe she could afford to let her guard down around you she thought as she took you into her embrace.

during her childhood she had learnt that alot of things were defined without explanation. especially when she was sent to the grand shine as an understudy. during that time she had learnt quite well that she would have to have very little emotions to get by.

to get by she would have to not rely on anyone and do things for herself. being told day in day out when to act a certain way, how not to act and so on. by the time she had returned she felt that it had done more bad than the good it was meant to do.

for the most part of her life from that point she didn't give emotions a thought. they took up space and while she still felt some she never let it show. giving off the cold vibe she carried herself with. however two things could change this - the aratakki gang and more importantly you.

despite her being with the aratakki gang longer, she felt closer to you. the most you had seen of her true emotions wasn't even her emotions, just her without her physical mask. but as much as you wanted her to express herself a bit more, you didn't mind that much. you had fallen for her as she was but you were sure that if she ever showed you her actual self you would still love her just as much.

the first time you had ever seen her actual emotions was a surprise for both of you. the gang had gotten into a bit too much trouble and as their deputy she ended up bailing them out of whatever trouble they had gotten onto, she does love them as a family but she wished sometimes she didn't have to keep doing so.

she had come back to you feeling quite annoyed and tired. and all you wanted to do was help her destress and calm down if even the smallest amount. you had done this before but each time she couldn't help but look upon you in awe. she was so used to caring for others around her and not caring about how she felt but you had always looked after her. and before she knew it she started crying. it was Indeed a shock to both of you but you both also knew why it had happened.

immediately going to her, you embraced her in your arms and told her to let it out. she deserved everything and that included being able to express herself properly.

the raiden family were practically all puppets. all designed to continue the rule over inazuma as the archon's. therefore it was practically unnecessary for emotions to be present in any of them. ei was no exception. the last time she remembers having any emotion was during the mourning of her sister and friends. since then she found emotions pitiful and nothing but a waste of space.

meaning that as her rule as the current archon she was known to be ruthless or quite cold-hearted. but she paid no mind. it was what she had decided was best for her and eternity and nothing would change her mind.

the first sign of emotions seeping through her facade was when she was around you. she hadn't understood why? you were just someone she seemed to find the presence of comforting and tolerable to be around and it wasn't until someone had pointed out to her (miko) what it truly was.

this feeling only increased tenfold when you two became lovers. she couldn't quite understand it all to well but she did know that she cared for you, loved you. but deep down she didn't want to seem weak to you still and kept up the facade even when you could see right through it. it pained you slightly, you could see all the harboured emotions she held. it wasn't right, she shouldn't have to feel that way. so what better thing to do them slowly coax out those deep concealed emotions around you.

she caught one all to quickly for your liking but made no effort to stop you, not that you knew why but it was because she didn't understand what you were seeking to achieve but was more curious to find out. that and she didn't have the heart to stop you. but it seemed it got to her more than she thought. she was sitting idly somewhere as her mind drifted towards your recent endeavours in getting her to be more expressive.

and that's when she felt it. a lukewarm drop slid down her cheeks. she wiped it up and stared at the tear, she was crying? how and why? but right as she was staring you entered the room. quite shocked to see her crying but quickly overcame it and slowly made your way over to her. she looked at you and you gave her a smile as you brought her into your embrace.

what was this? first she was crying but now she felt like she was going to cry more alongside the new butterfly sensation in her stomach. you let her go and brought her hands into yours before giving another smile and telling her it was alright. she was allowed to feel like this, her eyes slightly widened before returning a small tear filled smile of her own.

she had always been know to be quite emotional when it came to it. even more so as a child. children naturally can show more emotions than normal and be more sensitive to others but in navia's case it seemed to be in tenfolds. while that wasn't a bad thing, it didn't seem to want to align with the type of childhood she lived.

from seeing her dad be falsely accused of a crime and dying in her early stages, leaving her to take over his spot as the president of Spina di Rosula. it moved to quickly and see quickly saw how her emotions could get in the way of things. so with a heavy heart, she learnt how to bury them and put on the facade she wore on a day to day basis.

it wasn't ideal for her and she knew that but it would cause too many issues for her. but when she met you it didn't seem that bad anymore. becoming a couple meant that she felt comfortable around you and you the same. she often debated being extremely open with her emotions, like normal, but she realised that maybe it was too soon for that. so she still held up her facade.

but you noticed it kept slipping, she looked more tired than ever nowadays. no doubt from her job and keeping up her little act. you wanted to ask her about it but had no idea how to approach her. so you left it until she decided to come forward or you would have to intervene.

that came sooner tha expected however. she had a particularly rough day and had let her facade slip and release all her true feelings towards neuvillette of all people. it felt good to finally not hold back but because of the situation made her feel even worse. she just wanted to see you. and that's what lead her to the front doorstep of you residence, knocking and waiting for you to answer.

you answered quite quickly and upon seeing the tired look on her face, immediately brought her inside and sat down on your coucb before grabbing her one of her favourite beverages. she sat there staring at you, she couldn't believe how lucky she had gotten woth you. it was like a perfect match in her opinion. you quickly rejoined her on the couch and placed the drink on the table for her to geab when ready.

you were going to ask her what had happened but before you could merely get a word out she practically lunged forward and hugged you. pushing her face into your neck leaving you more worried when you felt tears hitting your skin. you returned the embrace and said nothing but praise to her. reminding her that she didn't have to keep up this facade, it wasn't who she was truly and it seemed more and more forced.

maybe you were right. maybe she could let it go and become herself once again.

He was in denial until he killed the demon

He refused to believe you actually died

He would quite literally go through the four stages of grief right there

And wend i say he was pissed, I mean it

He would get super mad, like start shaking

Then he'd realize the demon is dead so his anger would turn into sadness and he'd collapse onto you

He would cry and scream until the sunrised

Giyuu, would he be more distant

Before the hashiras knew what happened Shinobu teased him about being more distant

And he went off on her, the same day they all learned what happened

For once, Shinobu apologized to Giyuu

Mitsuri

She realized as soon as you didn't respond

She was still fighting the demon, so she turned around for a second and saw you laying dead on the floor

She'd call your name, completely forgetting about the demon you'd become her main concern

She'd throw herself to you no matter how bad it hurts

She wouldn't let go, pulling you onto her lap she'd do everything to see if your awake or not

Mitsuri may be the love hashira, but she had no more love for anything else in that room

She killed that demon in the most brutal way possible. The only love was the love for you, the one who is currently dead

Once the demon was killed, she collapsed by you, and just layed down against you

She would cry into your hoari until the Kakushi arrived and took you away

It was actually a battle for Kakushi to take you, since she wasn't down with you

But once she got back, everyone had heard. She was almost as quiet as Giyuu those couple of weeks she was grieving

Rengoku

He and the demon would be quiet for a second

Since it was Akaza who killed him, you would have collapsed against Rengoku as the demon ran

Rengoku would drop his sword and knees just to hold you

That's the only reason Akaza didn't die right then and there

Rengoku would try everything in his power to save you, pressing against the wound, telling you to control your breathing, everything

But nothing worked. You died in his arms and left him broken and angry

He held you close and tried to keep his composer since Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu were around

But he couldn't. They all could see him shaking, and Zenitsu could hear his crys and the quiet words he's was whispering to you

As you died, he would whisper sweet nothingness into your ears to give you some peace

Once he felt you fully go limp, he'd break , he'd start crying heavily, holding onto you like his life depended on it

It broke him, and the other slayers around him, Rengoku couldn't go home that day, he wouldn't be able to take it....

Shinobu

For once, her calm and happy demeter broke

You could see the pissed look, but it was also mixed with sadness

She couldn't bare herself to look at you, but she also couldn't look away

She's stared at your body with so many different emotions

Her heart would break when she fully processed your death

That demon definitely didn't make it out, not for a long shot

That demon was killed particularly instantly

Once she saw its head turn to ash, she sat next to you

Holding your head in her lap, she'd gently brush your hair as tears fell from your eyes

Then she'd wonder, why do the people I love keep dying in my arms?

She'd try to keep her composer, and even try to tease Giyuu again, but she couldn't do either

"you must be exhausted", a soft murmur broke the silence between you and the smaller woman as she reached out, pulling you down to kiss your cheek. she steps forward, wrapping her arounds around your waist in a gentle hug.

"mm", you hum, inhaling Shinobu's comforting scent while she gently rubbed soothing circles on your back.

"i can feel the tension in your muscles, relax. im here." you sigh, resting your head on top of hers and closing your burning eyes. all you wanted to do was sleep, but you still had so much to do, and so little time. Shinobu pulls away, gently taking both of your hands in her own. you sluggishly open your eyes and she stares up at you, her deep purple iris' boring into you.

"you need rest", she said simply, and began to drag you towards the bedroom. you opened your mouth to protest, but were quickly shushed by her stern gaze. you kick off your shoes and flop down on the mattress, and Shinobu follows suit. she opens her arms, cradling you against her chest as she gently plays with your hair. ad you begin to doze, you hear her soft voice whisper knowingly.

"i know that the days are getting longer and harder, but i'm here if you need me. never shield yourself from me", Shinobu mumbled, kissing you on top of the head as she toyed your hair. "I will always love you".

got a request for some hashira x reader who almost died in battle, made it into bullet point hcs since i'm not too confident in my ability to actually write for all of them minus muichiro, nothing graphic or anything but it does get a bit sad. naturally. i will do a second part with rengoku, uzui(+wives), obanai, and gyomei probably

sanemi

•honestly probably ignores you

•it's nothing against you personally he just seems like the type to pull away from his s/o when he's especially emotional to avoid saying things in the heat of the moment

•the last thing you need after the fight he almost lost you in, was to be greeted by him screaming at you in a worried fueled rage

•would probably write to you though <3 he doesn't want you to think he's abandoned you so for a couple days until he calms down fully he gets someone to deliver you tons of letters, it's easier for him to put down his actual emotions on paper because he can think through what he's saying better

•after a couple days though he's absolutely glued to your side

•(little did you know, while you were recovering in the butterfly mansion he acted as a guard dog at your door, because even when consumed by emotions he refused to leave you completely alone and unable to defend yourself)

mitsuri:

•literally throws herself on you sobbing as soon as you wake up, just to make absolutely sure you're still there with her, you're still alive and warm and breathing even if logically she knows shinobu told her you'd live

•refuses to stop touching you, for at least a week she's constantly touching you in some way, whether it's hand feeding you food, doing your hair for you, bathing you, whatever it is that you need to do she's right there with you attached to your hip, lending a very welcome helping hand

•you better appreciate it bc if you ask for space she Will cry. just accept it.

•annoys the FUCK out of aoi and shinobu when they're trying to care for you but they just huff and roll their eyes but don't say anything to her

•she Might be convinced to leave your side for an hour to collect flowers or wisteria to braid into your hair if you ask nicely

•when you're healed up she throws you a party

giyuu:

•his eyes are Puffy. he Cried. look what you did to him. making him show emotions and shit. don't do that again

•okay but seriously no one has ever seen him this emotional before. as soon as your crow alerted him he was running

•he can't lose another person :(

•you'd probably wake up to him holding your hand sitting next to you, your warmth convincing him you were okay.

•honestly expect a lot of touching within the next couple weeks of recovery. it just assures him.

•is actually the type to give you space to recover if that's what you want but would prefer to be clingy

shinobu:

•you knew you fucked up when you woke up and she was Frowning.

•isn't actually mad or anything, she's upset that she wasn't there to protect you and can't do more for you with medicine than she is already, but it just comes across as anger

•is Literally there with you every step of the way. she is your doctor.

•she subtly tries to convince aoi to let her take care of you alone without actually saying it

- Never in a million years would rengoku thought he would be crying over your dead body. That thought just never crossed his mind and instead was covered up by his mass amount of love for you.

- You desperately tried protecting rengoku from akaza, but ended up becoming heavily injured. Surely you would just bounce back from this fight right? Right..?

- Rengoku watched in slow motion as akaza’s fist dug its way through your torso and through your backbone. Creating a huge crater in your stomach. Rengoku jumped onto his feet and immediately ran towards you, scrambling his way onto his feet.

- But before Rengoku could land a hit on the upper moon, he ran away. But that didn’t matter, what mattered was you and your health.

- Rengoku held you in his arms, rocking you in his large arms back and forth and sobbing, telling you that you were alright and that you would surely live through this.

- Tanjiro, inosuke, and zenitsu stood back in pure shock and sadness. They looked up to you as their own parental figure.. and now.. you were gone.

- Tanjiro sobbed as he sniffed the air of death, blood, and sadness, while zenitsu bursted out crying, not being able to hear your heart beating anymore. Inosuke fell to the ground and tried his hardest not to cry but the fat tears pushed their way through and rushed out his eyes like a waterfall.

- Rengoku couldn’t let go of you, even when people tried to pry him off of you, his strength was just unmatched. His grief pushed him into a depressive state. To the point where his bubbly personality turned into pure anger.

- His hatred for demons increased and his training hardened. He was going to avenge you if it was the last thing he’d do.

T. Uzui

- Tengen and you were desperate to find your wives, you’d do anything to get them back. You watched in utter horror as a slim creature emerged out of the original demon you were fighting.

- His extremely skinny body made him look weak but since the two demons were upper 6 you knew that his body was just something to throw you all off.

- you found yourself heaving in pain as the poison of gyutaro’s weapon burrowed itself deep in your bloodstream. You cried as you felt the burning sensation of the poison rushing through you as quickly as it possibly could.

- Gyutaro was able to slice your stomach going up to the middle of your chest. Blood gushed out of your large wound and spilled all over the ground.

- “Y/NN!!” You heard one of your wives very familiar and ear-piercing voice calling out your name, suma crashed onto her knees beside you and bursted out crying.

- “Y/N YOU’LL GET THROUGH THIS ALRIGHT? STICK WITH US PLEASE” suma screeched as she shook you harshly “SUMA SHUT UP HE’S ALREADY IN PAIN DUE TO THAT HUGE WOUND HE HAS HE DOESNT NEED TO BE IN MORE PAIN DUE TO YOUR CRYING ASS” makio screamed at suma who was holding you close to her chest.

- You smiled weakly, “suma.. makio.. where’s hinatsuru..?” “She’s alright, she’s just unconscious for the time being”, you hummed, happy to hear hina was alive.

- you coughed up blood that had been bubbling in your throat, suma screamed some more before being hit on top of the head by makio. “Suma.. my dearest wife..” you started off.

- “Although your the most sensitive of the bunch, you’re still my wife and I’ll never let that be unknown.. your voice brings such comfort to my soul and I’m happy your able to be apart of my life..” you placed a hand on top of suma’s. She almost bursted out in tears but decided she’d save them for later.

- You turned your gaze to makio, who was silently crying while looking at your heavily injured body, you placed your other hand on her cheek and gave her the warmest smile you could muster up, “makio, although you’re hotheaded like no other, that doesn’t change anything on how I look upon you, you are one of my precious wives and you’ll always be known as that.. I love you.. suma.. makio”

- Your body began to go limp as you felt your heart grow slower and slower, “although hinatsuru and tengen aren’t here.. please let them know I love them as well” suma nodded profusely as she then began to cry louder than anything in the entire world.

- She held you as close as she could while makio held you close to her too, her tears falling onto your haori. You slowly closed your eyes and embraced the light at the end of the tunnel…

- Tengen had found his wives surrounding his only husband, crying their eyeballs out. Tengens heart dropped as this could only mean one thing.. the love of his life.. had.. died..

- He fell onto his knees and slowly picked you up, the sight of your eyes being permanently shut made him burst out in tears as he held your dead body close to his..

- That’s when he finally bursted out in tears, he didn’t care about the condition he was in, all he could care about was you.

- After the entertainment district incident, Uzui was no longer his “life of the party” self. He was way more closed off, even to his wives.

M. Kanroji

- It had been at least a couple hours since tanjiro, nezuko, and genya had left. Leaving you and your girlfriend to fight zohakuten. His wooden dragons attacked you both from both sides.

- It almost seemed as this fight would never end, but you knew you two could handle the demon child.

- Just as you sliced one of the dragons, you felt a large presence behind you. You twisted your head quickly but then felt a burning sensation in the middle of your chest.

- You felt the life drain out of you through your chest. You looked down to see one of the wooden dragons head pierce through you.

- Blood gushed out of your wound and spilled onto the forest ground, creating a large pool below you. The dragon then retracted its head through the hole it made in your chest, letting you fall to your demise.

- You body fell with the sound of a harsh crack of your rib cage breaking into a thousand pieces, collectively digging themselves into your lungs.

- Your vision grew blurry.. and then.. nothing

- “Y/N!!” your girlfriend called out, but didn’t receive a response, she looked over to where you originally were when she last looked at you.

- Her heart dropped as her eyes then darted down to the floor. Your body laying uncomfortably on the hard dirt floor.

- Mitsuri’s world began to slow down, tears immediately rushed to the edge of her eyelids before spilling out with a large wail.

- Her attention then quickly drew back to zohakuten, her sword springing into action almost immediately, rage engulfed her to the very tip of her nails.

- “you.. I will never forgive you for what pain I feel right now!! I don’t care if you look like some 10 year old kid!! I’ll kill you no matter what!!” Mitsuri screamed at the demon, her face completely red with anger and tears dripping down both her cheeks.

- Her speed increased significantly, her adrenaline and anger fueling her. She couldn’t let this kid get away with killing her bf!!

- Mitsuri sobbed as her legs grew weak on her but she couldn’t give up now, she had to avenge you even if it led her to her own death as well.

- “I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE” mitsuri sobbed out, her sword whipping down on the wooden dragon that was chasing her. She looked up in horror as she saw a dragon dive down, gobbling her up.

- But a few seconds later, the dragon rammed into a tree and collapsed, fading away after it crashed. “I’m saved!” Mitsuri cheered but her happiness was quickly cut short as she remembered you.

- She ran over to your body, falling to her knees as she saw your poor body lay face down. Your chest heaved slowly and raggedy, you were literally hanging onto a thread.

- “Y/N!! STAY WITH ME OKAY? WE’LL GET YOU HELP!” Mitsuri yelled between sobs, she scooped you up into her arms and hoisted you up onto her thighs.

- You’re eyes glistened with tears, you weren’t ready to leave.. you weren’t ready to leave mitsuri.. with the small amount of strength you had, you took mitsuris hand into yours and kissed it. Giving her one last loving look before your eyes grew shut and your grip on her hand loosened.

- Mitsuri could not stop crying after your death, she hated every passing second that wasn’t spent with you.

S. Kochō

- You and shinobu ran through the halls of the infinity castle. The multitude of doors that were scattered all around you two giving you a tiny sense of fear knowing that at any moment they could open up and you could fall to your death or be in a presence of an upper moon.

- the two of you then found yourselves in a hallway, a door not too far away. You and shinobu shared a look before carefully walking towards the door.

- Shinobu took the honor of opening the door, cautiously sliding the door to the side. There, you two saw upper moon 2..

DOUMA

- There was no doubt that this was the demon who killed kanae.. his shiny, blonde hair gave his mysterious persona away.

- The upper moon turned around “Hm? Someone’s here?” His rainbow gaze fell on the top of you two, “whoa it’s a girl! And her sweet boyfriend~!”

- You and shinobu both gripped onto your sword’s hilts tightly, “why hello there~! Very nice to meet you, my names douma~ it’s a lovely night out tonight, isn’t it~?”

- In the corner of your eye, you saw someone struggling to crawl away safely, “HELP ME..!” said the poor girl. “Shhh! We’re talking right now!” Douma was quick with his attack, with a slash of his fans, ice shwooshed through the already-cold air.

- Shinobu was quick to the girls aid, her fast pace competed against the ice. “Are you okay?” You managed to hear shinobu’s soft question, the girl looked scared, her frightened state left her unable to answer your girlfriend’s question.

- “Whoa! You sure are fast! Are you a pillar?” Douma was quick to ask questions, he was like a child who was curious about everything he could lay his eyes on.

- But with a blink of an eye, the girl was then sliced up, her body fell onto the ground in several large pieces. “There we go..” douma adjusted himself a bit. “Ah, don’t worry about her! Just leave her over there! I’ll make sure to gobble her up later”

- Douma stood up, his large figure easily towered over shinobu. He then went on to talk about how he was the founder of something.. something about eternal paradise..?

- You quickly made a break for it, running towards the demon and slicing your sword down, just as you were about to cut up one of his arms, douma’s balled up fist came in contact with your stomach.

- A large amount of blood gushed out of your mouth as you were flung back into the wall. “Y/N!!!!” Shinobu cried out.

- “I’d appreciate it if you told your boyfriend not to sneak up on me like that again..” Douma looked down at shinobu with a threatening look, but she didn’t care.

- She wasn’t going to listen to the same demon who lead to her older sister’s death.. your consciousness faded in and out, along with your hearing. But all you could think about shinobu’s safety.

- You groaned as you stood up, the pain in your stomach dying down at a painful rate. You climbed up onto the bridge/deck(??) and steadily took your balance back.

- But the moment you looked up you saw something horrifying, shinobu being struck by one of douma’s icy attacks. You yelled out to her before quickly making your way over to her.

- You shielded shinobu’s recovering body with your own, making sure douma had no chance to take a hit on her.

- “Could you please move out the way~? I have some business to take care of that includes your girlfriend~”, “like hell I will.. I’d be damned if I let you touch her..”

- “Hm.. You seem like a snack good enough for akaza! Ooo~! I could gift your dead body to him as a little token of our friendship~!!” Douma jumped up and down excitedly like a child.

- “Wha..” you could finish your tiny sentence before you were struck by one of douma’s attacks. Making you immediately drop to the floor like a fly.

- Shinobu looked back over to you to see you lying on the floor, your throat spurting out blood everywhere on the wood below you. Some drips of blood seeping down the cracks of the deck and into the pond water.

- “nonononononono..! y/n talk to me!!” You could only cough as a response. Your eyes grew glossy with tears as you realized this was your end..

- “You.. fucking piece of shit.. I’ll make sure to drag your body to hell and watch you burn in the enteral flames..”

Lovely. You were walking around a village together, as you had been sent out here to protect the large orphanage that was stationed there, and Shinobu had begun to grow impatient.

“You know. I love the way you deal with these children.” She whispered to you, smirking at your reaction.

Shinobu:

She’s your therapist, your personal doctor.

When she first caught feelings, she actually thought it was just her worrying about your mental health.

When she found out it was a crush she’s shocked, why did she like you? Was it the unending praises you showered her with? Your good looks? Your quite raspy voice?

Overtime she fell harder and really tried to help you with your mental health issues, to say the least, it was worthless, your self-esteem and respect was practically nonexistent.

She also refuses to let you touch or help her in poison making, because Fucking Obviously.

Despite this you know a surprising amount of poison, which is concerning due to your M.H.

She does love when you talk about hope, and tried to use that as a catalyst to raise your self worth.

She is slightly annoyed at how you drool about tanjirou and how you love him for his hope (No pedo shit!) but she loves how passionate you sound.

She finds it interesting and unsettling how you call zenitsu useless and worthless, it’s her first time seeing you hate someone more than demons or yourself.

Every time someone insults you, and you agree with them she insults them harder, she’d go for anything their insecure about, that she somehow already knows about.

She’s very protective of you, despite your supernaturally good luck.

If you die she would be completely heartbroken and vengeful towards every demon, especially Douma and the one who killed you.

She would feel so pathetic that she couldn’t confess to you.

If she did confess you’d say something like “Ah, to be lied to by someone as you is such an honor for someone as worthless as me”

She tries to convince you that her feelings are real but you don’t believe her, always saying “Your so kind to tell me such a lie!” Or “Ah, I... I truly appreciate your affection towards me, but I must decline. You see, I'm just a lowly speck of misfortune in this grand tapestry of life. It would be unfair to burden you with my peculiarities and the chaos that seems to follow my every step”

She’s too persistent and stubborn though, she’s strong enough to take anything you say or do, but it’s futile.

When she dies for Douma you feel genuine sadness, you knew she cared for you too some degree “I’m sorry, someone as worthless as me should’ve taken her place” you’d say before moving on.

Her cherished memory of you is when she reveled to you that she’s extremely weak and can’t cut off a demons head and your response “Wow! Your so weak but you managed to find a way to kill demons despite your weakness in strength!! Your so smart Shinobu! I promise to become a stepping stone to the hope you can achieve!!” Okay she hated the last bit, but it’s the thought that counts.

Rengoku:

He is very worried for you.

You find yourself completely unworthy of his sheer presence, his overwhelming positivity and hope you just can’t compete.

When he finds out he has a crush on you, he doesn’t question it, he follows his heart and helps you out.

Every insult you say to yourself he’d object with a positive remark. “Someone like me shouldn’t have become a hashira” “You became a hashira even when you don’t have a breathing style! Your nothing short of admirable and amazing! You have every demon slayers respect!!”

He always invites you to group activities, and you decline every time. So he drags you to the events.

He’s pretty much around you 24/7

When he wakes up, he sends his crow to wake your ass up.

When he’s off on a mission he asks Kagyga to watch over you, and over course he accepts.

When you praise him, he praises you, then you either degrade yourself and Rengoku objects with positivity, or you try to praise him harder, it then turns into a ‘Praise Battle’

He loves it when you talk positively about tanjirou, not so much when you talk bad about Zenitsu.

When he dies from akaza, you say “I won’t let him die in despair. He’s death will simply be a catalyst for the ultimate hope!”

He keeps confessing to you, despite you rejecting him due to your self worth problems.

Mitsuri

She is extremely worried for you, why would someone say such things about themselves? Especially when you became a hashira in a month and while having no breathing style, shouldn’t you be proud?

Everytime She turns completely red when you shower her with praise, which also interest her in you even more.

She can’t really talk much until you praise her and she malfunctions.

She admires you and even agrees about you idolization of hope, which makes you like her even more.

She always invites you to hang out with her and Iguro or any Hashira activities, you deny everytime.

When she finds out about her crush on you she malfunctions for days, she likes Iguro AND you, how could she choose? Did she need to choose?

She ask’s Kagyga for help, and whoever your close with.

Now she pretty much begs you to hang out with her and Iguro. Overtime Iguro sees and different side of you and thinks your tolerable, but he’s still annoyed that it can’t be him and Mitsuri alone.

She isn’t going to confess anytime soon, she’s too shy and insecure about herself to do so.

i never see anything for a lot of the genshin women, and i recently built kuki and i have no idea how i lived without her. she is the loml

just shinobu having a fat crush on you :3!

Kuki is a VERY busy woman. She’s always running around inazuma and cleaning up after the arataki gang. She has a hard time admitting it but as much as she loves everyone in the gang, it still takes a toll on her sometimes.

So, whenever she sees you (whether in passing or purposefully), she can’t help feeling the blood rush to her face.

She; obliviously, is good at keeping her composure a lot of the time.

But sometimes. sometimes. she just can’t help but lose herself a little bit.

Haunted Piano - Shinobu x reader

Warnings: Use of Y/N and you(no pronouns), dead reader, ghosts, short, ooc?

Word count: Around 700

The soft pattering of the rain hit the roof of the old house repeatedly. It was noisy but soon gave comfort once Shinobu longed enough. The rain reminds her of the past memories you shared when you were alive. When you two were happy.

She stood in the doorway looking up at the sky before noticing the music playing. She turned around with a confused look and made her way to the music room. The sound of the tune filled the butterfly mansion. The music played the familiar tune of your two relationships, your guy's song. Painful, happy memories flashed through her mind as she broke out into a sprint. Trying to stop whoever is torturing her.

She slammed the door open only for the music to stop and the room be empty. Carefully, she put one foot in front of the other, making her way into the room.

“Who's there,” she called out with tears threatening to fall down from her eyes. “Who’s in here?”

The rain hitting the window was the only noise that filled the room. She walked over to the piano that was drowning in the gray light. She lifted her hands to the key so delicately it was like a butterfly on a leaf. Her fingers gently played the tune that was your guy's song.

“Y/N,” she whispered. The name came out as a pained cry.

Shinobu jumped as the piano started to play by itself. It played the same song it was before, in a much more jolly way.

“Y/N?” The piano stopped before playing the song from the start. It continued playing until it got to the chorus. The keys froze, as the last note hummed throughout the room Shinobu let out an audible “oh” before playing the next part. She played with a smile on her face which only grew when the piano joined her in a duet.

A flashback played in her mind.

You were sitting in front of the piano playing the very same song on a sunny day. You guys had no missions and were free to relax. Her head was on her shoulder as she hummed the tune in sync with your playing. You had looked down at her with a smile.

Kanae with the rest of the girls would be dancing around the room. They would all sing the lyrics in a happy manner while the younger ones pretended to be at an esteem party. Everyone was happy. It felt like home.

The girls would pull her away from you. Although she would feel sadder every time, yearning to be next to you again. They would have her dance with them and sing. Of course, she would join even when her sister would tease her.

Shinobu remembers the warm feeling she got whenever she looked into your eyes. The giddy feeling she would get when your hand would be on top of hers playing the song. She remembers how domestic it felt. The same daydreams she had about you two growing old together and dancing around to the songs you would play.

The flashback ended as the song came to an end. Her smile barely there as she looked towards the keys that were being played.

“Y/N?” The keys played a happy little tune in response. “That’s you isn’t it?” The keys played again. Shinobu let out a brief laugh and sat down on the bench.

The sunlight started to pour in, a different song being played. It wasn’t foreign to you so you joined in. Shinobu kept on playing as she imagined you there. With the same smile you gave her on your dates. The same warm feeling you gave her during your life.

Kanae watched from the doorway. She saw your spirit sitting next to Shinobu, playing the songs you would in your life.”Y/N,” she called out.

You turned around, smiling.

“Don’t do this too often. We don’t want her getting hurt.” Her soft smile stared back at you.

You grew a smile yourself, “I would never hurt her.”

Kanae smiled as she closed the door, happy that Shinobu was healing. Happy that the butterfly mansion was feeling like home again.

Aren't I mean~? (Ensemble Stars!!)

Summary: No matter how hard you try to be mean, you just can't. But what would the Enstars characters think of your behaviour? Will they find it amusing? Will they help you and give you tips? What's their reaction to you miserably failing at being mean?

A/N: Hello! My friend told me about this idea she got. She was inspired by Luca Kaneshiro's stream where he'd basically call a few friends and tried to be mean to them and kind of failing at doing so.

This can be read as platonic or romantic!

Reader is gender neutral!

I didn't want to write for all the characters 😅 So since my friend decided to give me this idea, I'll write this for her favorite characters (+ Nagisa because he's my favorite character and I refuse to not include him)

Characters: Nagisa Ran, Ritsu Sakuma, Mika Kagehira, Sengoku Shinobu, Jun Sazanami

Warnings: Swearing/Cursing

Sorry if Jun's was short idk what to say for him lol

Just to clarify! You are not Anzu/the producer! Just pretend you're part of another unit. What unit, you may ask? Just make up any unit you want lol

Well, well. You headed towards Nagisa. What were you doing to do? Well, you're going to try to be mean of course! Your unitmate (or friend if you don't have a unitmate like Madara for MaM) decided to tell you that you're not scary and that you can't be mean to someone to save your life! You don't think so. You need to prove them wrong! So what do you do? Well as bad as you may feel, the first person that comes to mind is Nagisa. So you're going to do the "mean" on him.

(Don't commit the mean people)

Oh! You spotted Nagisa reading! Better go over to him.

"Nagisa!" You yelled to capture his attention. He looked up from his book. "Y/n? Hello. Is there something you needed?" He asked you. "Uh... let's see..." you began searching your mind for any insults you can come up with. Alas, you finally found something to say!

"You—uh—you! You're—You're a gerbil!" You yelled. You had said something without even processing what you had just said. Nagisa tilts his head to the side a bit and asks, "A gerbil?"

Nagisa gives you a confused look. Oh no. Did you mess up? Was it too mean? Well, not by the chuckle that he gives you, I don't think! "What do you mean by that Y/n?" He asks you. Your brain starts short-circuiting.

"Uh—well... you're adorable?—wait no. Uh, forget that!" There was no recovering from that embarassing experience. Nagisa chuckles once more. "Thank you, Y/n." Nagisa pats you on the head.

"No! Wait! I have something else to say!" You exclaimed. Nagisa watched as you tried to think of any more "mean" things you could've said to him. "I won't trust you with my pet rock!" You exclaimed.

...

"What?" Nagisa chuckles. "You have a pet rock? Can I see it?" He asked. Uh... do you have a pet rock? Welp better go find one because Nagisa wants to see!

You can hear your unitmate/friend laugh at you from a distance. You groaned in frustration. "Sorry Nagisa. Uh—I'll see you later!" You exclaimed, running away from whatever that was. Leaving behind a confused and amused Nagisa.

"Ah yes, you were sooooo mean." Your friend/unitmate taunted you. "Shut up." You pouted. Unbeknownst to you, Nagisa wasn't reading anymore and was chuckling at your miserable attempt to be mean. He thought it was cute.

Ritsu was sleeping on some grass. You figured that this was a good time to see his reaction if you were mean to him. Of course, you won't go too far... you hope.

You snuck up on him and started to nudge him awake. "Hnn... Y/n?" Ritsu yawned. "I have something to say to you!" You announced to him. "Yes...?" Ritsu questioned.

"I—Uh—I hate you! I won't talk to you again!" You exclaimed to his face. He stared at you sleepily. "Oh no... what did I do?" Ritsu feigned being hurt. "I must be a really awful person to be around, huh?" Ritsu pretended to cry.

"W-Wait! No! Wait! I didn't mean it! I'm sorry!" You exlaimed. He quirked a brow. "Wha—uh... I mean go ahead and cry! I don't care! Hmph!" You said. "I guess I really did make you hate me..." Ritsu pretended to cry once more.

At this point you two were just going at it. You trying to be mean while Ritsu was very unimpressed with your shenanigans, but decided to play along anyway.

"Ah... FORGET THIS! I'm so confused..." You sighed. Ritsu laughs at you. "I guess you can't even be mean to save your life." He flicked your forhead.

"No no! I can be mean! It's just... uh.. I just don't want to be mean to you!" You tried to come up with an excuse. "Listen, Y/n. You might need someone to help you with your little stunt... maybe I can teach you a few things." Ritsu yawned.

You were about to say "Really?" when you looked at him and saw him fast asleep. You decided to back out for now and find a new way to bother Ritsu.

One day... one of these days you'll get him back for always teasing you! Mark your words! You'll just need to find some reinforcement!

Mika, Mika, Mika...

Poor boy. You didn't have a choice. He was right there. And unknowing of what you're planning. He walked up to you.

"Y/n!" He waved at you. You looked at him and internally went "Oh no". You didn't want to be mean to poor Mika. But you didn't have a choice. You inhaled deeply and decided. Okay, you'll try it.

"Mika... I've thought about this for a while..." You started. Mika looks confused. "Did I do something wrong?" He asked.

"Mika, you're a loser." You said. "What? Y/n?" Mika said, "Yer not normally like this... are ya okay?" Mika asked you. You feel really bad! But you have to keep the facade up just for a bit longer.

"Did ya jus' call me a loser? That's kind of mean Y/n..." Mika looks down. You feel really bad now! "Ngahh..." Oh no. Not the sad Mika noises.

"Yeah! I-I don't care!" You huffed. "Yer usually so nice.. what happened to you?" Mika asks, "Did ya get possessed by a spirit or somethin'?!" Mika concludes. "N-no? What do you mean I'm always like this!" You said.

"I won' let the spirit possess ya Y/n!" Mika exclaimed. Oh god what direction has this conversation gotten to. Is Mika going to attempt to exorcise you?! What's going on?!

"Mika! No! I'm not possessed!" You exclaimed. He doesn't look like he believed you. Are you doing any better than that time where Ritsu pretended to be dead and Mika attempted to bury him?

"Ngahh... I don' understand what's going on... did I do somethin' wrong to make ya mad?" He asked you. "No... it's alright Mika, forget what just happened! Everything's alright!" You comforted him.

Now he's REALLY confused. You're suddenly back to normal? What's going on? Why were you being mean to him?

Lesson learned. You don't wanna be mean to him. Unless you want to get unprofessionally exorcised by Mika Kagehira.

Boi's still confused on wtf just happened

OH NO. DO NOT BE MEAN TO POOR NINJA BOI. HE'LL ACTUALLY TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY EVEN THO EVERYONE AROUND HIM KNOWS THAT YOU SUCK AT TRYING TO BE MEAN.

"Shinobu." You tugged his sleeve. He looks at you joyfully. "Y/n-dono!" He exclaimed. You feel bad for what you're about to do. "Ah! Y/n! Did you need help with something!" Chiaki exclaimed. The rest of Ryuseitai's here so it wouldn't be too much trouble, right?

"Uh, you're... uh... short and uh... dumb!" You exclaimed. You didn't wtf you just said but you're going with it anyways, trying to look mean while you're at it.

"Y-You think so?" Shinobu began sniffling. Kanata is going to kill you, well he would if he didn't know that you were trying to actually upset Shinobu. Kanata can laugh at your attempt tho. Midori on the other hand, just looked at you with the most dead inside look ever. He's probably thinking, "Shinobu really fell for that, huh?"

"Y-Yeah! Ninjas are—uh—like cheese! They crumble easily?" You can hear Midori face-palming in the background. Shinobu has tears in his eyes now. Crap.

"Uh... Shinobu?" You nudged him. "That was the worst attempt at trying to be mean." Midori exhaled. "FU HA HA HA HA! If you wanted to be a villain you could've said so! That was a really good attempt! Shinobu found it quite convincing!" Oh god.

"Oh... I thought you were being serious de gozaru." Shinobu looks at you, wiping his tears. "You did really good Y/n-dono! I honestly believed you de gozaru!" Shinobu says, clapping.

They thought you weren't being serious. Were you really that obviously bad? "We can give you a few tips! I can give you some examples of villains I've seen on tokusatsus!" Chiaki exclaimed, patting you on the back.

"If you're trying to be a villain, then you'll be a perfect counterpart for Ryuseitai!" Tetora exclaimed. "I'll help you become a better villain de gozaru!" Shinobu seems to really support you. This isn't how this was supposed to go.

Congratulations! Now Ryuseitai is hyping you up for your next victim! What has this become? Ryuseitai's own tokusatsu where you're the villain?!?!

You kinda don't wanna do this. Not going to lie.

But hey, here we are anyways.

You tried of thinking of some insults before you approach him.

"Hey... uh... bitch!" You exclaimed, almost laughing at yourself for saying that.

...

"What?" He quirked a brow at you. "Did you just call me a bitch?" He slightly laughed. Uh... okay. "What the hell is going on." He asked.

"Uh... you're not pleasant to be around?" You said. Yeah i think you lost Jun. He started laughing. "You call be a bitch and now this?" He started laughing.

"I'm really mean! Say I'm mean!" You gave up at this point 💀💀

"Yeah... uh... thanks but no. I have other stuff to do. Thanks for the, uh, whatever that was." He waved at you and walked off.

"He didn't even care lmao" is what you heard your unitmate/friend say in the distance. You sighed, you should be more prepared next time... a script maybe?

Later that day you got a text from Jun that just said "bitch"

I Like It When You Love Me (Shinobu Kocho)

Shinobu x Gen!Reader Modern AU

You stared at your spouse with a heavy feeling in your mind. It was three hours after the fight the two of you had, and still haven't talked. It was eating you on the inside out, but you knew better than to break the silence. It was better to let her calm down by herself before attempting to make a conversation.

With that thought in mind, you finally found the will to move away and walk out of the room. Perhaps if you finished your chores early, Shinobu will be less angry with you. Maybe the two of you will end the day cuddling on the bed. Instead of quiet whispers and cold bedsheets.

Your relationship with Shinobu wasn't a completely healthly one. With the other trying to figure out how to handle her anger and all. The couple was praticing walking away during a heated moment. It was hard, it made both parties feel like the other is angery at the other. If there is love, there is a will to make the love work though.

And you absouletly love the way Shinobu's eyes gleam in the sunlight.

As you finally finished scrubbing the hallway floors, a deep sigh leaves your mouth. Letting your body fall down onto the floor, you streched out your muscles. Relaxtion seeping into your limbs as you let out a long yawn. "Ah, now just gotta wash the windows." You spoke, closing your eyes for a small break.

"Goodness! Have you been cleaning this entire time?" Shinobu's voice startled you. The Hashria watched in amusment as you jumped before leaping onto your feet, all wide eyed looking panicked.

"Shinobu! Wait!" You franticly speak as your feet trip over one other and you fall back down onto the floor, ungracefully. "Ow." You say as you accept your fate and just lay on floor not bothering to get back up.

Shinobu giggled as her held out her hand for you to take. "Have you been drinking the sake again dear? Come, let's get some food into you before going to bed."

You carefully take the other's hand and stared, "Are you sure? Your done with everything already?" You question, not wanting to take up more of her time than you had already have.

Without a word Shinobu pulls you up to your feet before wrapping her arms around your shoulders. "I'm sorry." Shinobu whispered as she restes her forehead against yours. "I took my anger out on you when I should have never done that."

"My words were inexcusable and I should not have said them to you. You are everything, so much more than you reliaze. Please don't toss me aside." Shinobu pleads, her words causing pain in your chest.

You take your lover into your arms and hold on tight. "I understand." Was all you said, "I'll stay for as long as you'll have me. Just...less shouting next time?"

Shinobu laughed, "I'll use my indoor voice." She promises as your mouths meet into a moment of bliss.
