wild to realize that I've recovered enough that I just don't relate in the same way to a lot of vent posts, including ones I myself made. like holy shit. I'm happy. I never thought I'd get this far but I'm happy. I'm not healthy or magically cured and I still have my bad days but I can say I'm actually proud of myself. it's been nearly a decade since I haven't loathed myself until now. turns out joy is real and sincerely believing you can and deserve to get better actually does make you feel better

Daily reminder that if your mental illness or some combination of past events caused you to be harmful to someone, and you are GENUINELY sorry and you GENUINELY regret what you did and you GENUINELY feel guilt and want to change. Then that’s completely right.
If someone wants to hold on to your actions despite how genuine you are, they do have a right to do it if it was really bad, but if you tried to make amends or showed your guilt, and they still didn’t want to let go. Don’t hold onto that bro, just go, it will only make you feel more guilty. Yes, you ARE responsible in some extent to the things you did, and yes they DO have the right to be angry. But if you are holding yourself rightfully accountable and saying ‘yeah it was my fault’ and they don’t accept it, just go bro.
If they wanna hold onto that, let them. People are allowed to hold onto things yes, and that’s okay, I know a lot of us hold onto things dearly. But you have the right to also hold onto it too if you want. Now I wouldn’t recommend it, but it is something you can do. Don’t keep offering yourself up for possible chances if they run out, don’t be looking for acceptance if that person denied you, you’ll only hurt yourself bro, and that could lead to DANGEROUS things. I’m talking PHYSICALLY and MENTALLY dangerous things bro.
If it’s someone who was once close to you, I know bro, it hurt bad, but you gotta let it go, sometimes it just don’t work out. I know those memories hurt, I know you miss when y’all use to trust eachother, but it’s gone now, and most of the time the other person won’t come back, I know from experience bro. The best thing to do is move on, and in some cases forget you ever knew that person, get rid of their memories, it’ll make it hurt less bro I promise, don’t let reminders of them haunt you bro, it’ll only make you feel worse. You may have cared deeply for that person, but it’s time to go bro.
If you held or are holding yourself accountable, you are a good person, if you are trying to change, you are a good person. Don’t let anyone’s lingering thoughts hold you back, don’t let the guilt take over bro, remind yourself. You are good. You are trying. You did the right thing.

Finally managed to pass my Maths exams!!!
Honestly this is such a relief, like I walked out of that exam thinking 100% that I had failed it and it really put me in a funk for a few weeks. I was always more of an Arts and Literature kid growing up and always struggled with the more advanced side of Maths (except algebra, oddly?) and this has been a persistent thorn in my side for years and was really impacting my confidence as I had to resit it nine times. So it’s great that the hard work FINALLY paid off and that I never have to resit this exam ever again haha XD
Anyway, hope y’all are having a great start to October :D
