Done with last rotation of this year and last module✅

Glad to announce that after a long year of hard work , I can finally say that it was a success I passed and I’m officially a sixth year medical student ( time to change that bio lol )

None of it was easy , but you know what, you can accomplish whatever you want with hard work and commitment .

Day 1 of 100 Days of Productivity 🪴

Here is my day at a glance:

Started my new skin care regime

Ate a health bowl of fruits for breakfast

Studied my least favourite subject all day because mom picked that finger

Had study sessions with my bff

Used pretty study background

Ate all meals of the day

Did my night time skin care

Just doing all of this on day one made me feel motivated to do it the next day. Good luck to me! I hope I can complete this challenge and come out with better habits. 🍓

1st Feb 2024

Med school is hard.

Today It got to me. I cried after coming home.

First year was hard but I had never cried.

I guess today everything just got to me.

I had a habit of just brushing the bad things off and focusing on the good part and being optimistic all the time , the bottling up, the stress of catching up with pharmac, micro and patho and studying medicine for the clinical postings and ward leaving has got me.

Every since college started I have been tired , there has been no day I've stayed up past 12 am. I couldn't study properly, but I'm trying . I fall asleep while reading Hutchinson at night, then during clinics I feel very guilty and bad cause I am not well prepared .

Went to buy groceries.

Applied for the state PG counselling.

The weather was very pleasant and I was able to open my windows and enjoy the view while studying.

Made my cardio notes in orange because cardiology is orange and also all the photos I took are orange :p

I had a week long vacation not long ago, so I finally have enough energy to talk to non-medical friends once again. And I just realized once again, I'm not sure how to talk to them.

They tell me all the things they participated in, and I'm truly happy for them, all the while thinking I would never have half that much energy. They ask me how I am, I tell them I'm good, finally had a vacation. What did I do? Oh, literally nothing, tried to sleep off the worst of the exhaustion and tried to avoid interaction with other humans. How's work? You know, just the usual, it's good. It is good, and I love it, but how could I tell them all the horrors witnessed? That's right I don't, but what else do I have left to talk about? Most of my fun work stories are tainted with the shadows of tragedies... And unfortunately, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

So I just read their cheerful message and leave it on read, contemplating what to answer. And just hope they won't take offence to my agonizingly slow replies...
