summary: when you go on a mission with the famous Black Widow, who you think hates you, there appears to be some trouble with the hotel booking, one that ends in the truth being revealed.
pairing: Natasha x teen avengers reader
warnings: none I think
genre: fluff
words: 1695
a/n: I remember reading a fic of a Natasha x reader where the hotel only had one bed and I enjoyed it so much I wanted to read more of them, but of course I could find none so I decided to write one myself :)   (if you know any fics with this concept, please tag them in the comments)

 |——————————— ⴵ ———————————|
You sighed deeply while you sat in the car at the gas station, waiting for Natasha to finish up and continue your drive to the hotel. It was late, and both of you were tired. You knew Natasha must be mentally exhausted, always feeling as if she didn’t like you that much. At first you thought it was because you were still a teenager, but now you were convinced she just didn’t like you.
You, however, looked up to her, and when Fury made you the offer to join the Avengers you were excited to meet her. When you did, your excitement soon faded, noticing how cold she was towards you. You were heartbroken, but soon learned that staying out of her way was the best way to go.
And so, on most days in the compound you avoided her. When she came into the training room, you’d leave, and when you came into the kitchen she’d do the same.
It wasn’t what you hoped for, but you thought it worked to not make her upset. That changed however, when Fury decided that the next mission was perfect for the two of you to complete, going undercover as mother and daughter at an expensive party clearly meant only for the rich. You didn’t exactly come from a rich family, and you felt very out of place during the whole evening.
You didn’t think Natasha noticed, she herself looked right where she belonged, as if she was made for this kind of life. Just another thing that made the two of you different.
Your train of thought was interrupted when the car door opened, Natasha getting in and handing you a bottle of water. You gave her a quiet ‘thank you’ and took a few sips, clearly dehydrated from being at the party too long.
“It’s about a two hour drive to the nearest hotel,” she told you, typing in some navigation in the car. “Would you like some music?” Natasha asked as she turned to you. You didn’t dare look at her, deciding to just stare at your feet. “Sure,” you told her.
Natasha gave a hmm of acknowledgement before putting on some music, making the rest of the car ride a lot less awkward than the previous hour had been.
Once you arrived at the hotel, Natasha told you to grab your bag and follow her inside. You followed her instructions like a lost puppy, not wanting to do anything that might make Natasha mad. Once inside the hotel, Natasha walked up to the desk, asking for a room for her and her daughter. She was smart, not letting the roles you were giving fall away just yet.
The lady at the desk smiled sweetly, typed something into her computer and then handed Natasha a key. Natasha walked back to you, motioning to the elevator. You followed her once again.
When you made it to your room, and you walked through the door, you realized there was only one bed. Something you saw Natasha wasn’t really happy with either. “Just so you know, I’m not sleeping on the floor,” she told you, settling her stuff against a wall.
You nodded, settling your own stuff on a chair. You didn’t want to pick a side on the bed, worried Natasha would end up with a side she’d be uncomfortable with. “You can shower first,” you told her. Natasha gave a sound that resembled a ‘thanks’ before disappearing into the bathroom, leaving you alone in the empty room.
You could hear the shower run, and the fact you didn’t have to sleep alone comforted you in a way that was hard to describe, even if it was with a person you were sure didn’t like you. You settled on sitting on the floor, grabbing your sketchbook from your bag and busying yourself with some sketching.
Once Natasha came out, you slipped into the bathroom, wanting to shower and get into bed as quickly as possible.
You showered quickly, getting rid of all the dirt before drying off and putting on some comfortable clothes. You walked back into the room, seeing Natasha had already settled on her side of the bed, book in her hand. She looked at you when you reentered the room, closing her book and setting it on her bedside table.
She had picked the side of the bed closest to the door. Maybe a habit of hers, you thought. So she could run out of the room the fastest.
You walked to your bag, grabbing your favorite stuffed animal from it before settling into bed, as far away from Natasha you could manage. It was bad enough you had to sleep in the dark. All be damned if you had to sleep without your stuffed animal as well.
You felt Natasha’s eyes on you, eyeing you as you kept your stuffed animal close. You thought she was judging you for still sleeping with one, not realizing she was simply concerned.
You crawled under the covers, making sure Natasha had all the space she needed. This, of course, didn’t go unnoticed by the redhead, but she decided not to comment on it.
When you joined the Avengers she didn’t agree with it at all. She told Fury she found you way too young, not even being a legal adult yet. Fury dismissed her, saying you were a perfect person. She was upset when Fury didn’t agree with her, and when she met you she was hesitant. When she saw you for the first time, her heart simply broke. You looked so young, and in your eyes she could see the world hadn’t been kind to you.
You greeted her with a smile though, one Natasha found herself being unable to return. You were just a child. How could Fury possibly ever send you on a mission. How could he ask you to risk your life for something you probably didn’t even understand yet. After she met you, she was avoiding you, not wanting to face the reality of the fact you were risking your life in their team. When she saw you train it reminded her of the Red Room, feeling as though she was no better when she let you join the Avengers.
Little did she know that you took this behavior as resentment towards you. And so, you started avoiding her, sensing that you made the Russian uncomfortable.  You didn’t want to be in her way, so you stayed out of it. You avoided her, and Natasha simply thought you learned about her past and were afraid of her. She decided to avoid you too, not wanting to scare you or make you uncomfortable.
And so, the cycle began. Both of you avoided the other for months, until this mission was called. Natasha was excited she got to work with you one on one, but she was worried you wouldn’t like it.
She sensed your uncomfortable feeling throughout the whole party, hating herself for not knowing what to do about it. When she saw the one bed she was simply afraid she’d make you more uncomfortable. She decided to sleep closest to the door so she could protect you if anything were to happen, something you picked up wrongly as well.
When she saw your stuffed animal, her heart simply broke. It was just another realization for her about how young you really were. You weren’t supposed to do these kinds of missions yet.
“Goodnight,” she told you, turning the lights off. l
The room was completely dark, scaring you in a way you couldn’t really explain. You never liked the dark, but after your father would lock you up in that dark room every time he got sick of you, you feared it more than anything else.
You whimpered slightly, hoping Natasha didn’t notice. Of course she did, but she didn’t let you know that. You clutched your stuffed animal closer to your body. You were terrified, feeling as though you were back in that little room. Natasha, nor any of the other Avengers knew about your past. Together with Fury you decided to keep it a secret, thinking it was better that way.
You shivered, pulling the blanket a little higher up.
“Are you okay?” you heard a voice from beside you. Your head whipped around, your mind completely leaving the hotel room and you got stuck inside your own head.
“It’s okay, it’s just me,” Natasha said, sitting up a little. “You’re safe,” you looked at her with fear for a few seconds, before you realised where you were. Your body relaxed a little, the blanket not held so tight anymore.
“Do you not like the dark?” Natasha asked you carefully. You slowly shook your head, scared you might make her upset. “We can keep a light on, or I could hold you… maybe…” Natasha continued unsure. She still thought you were afraid of her, and didn’t want to overstep.
“Why would you help me? You don’t even like me…” you told her, looking down at your stuffed animal.
Natasha frowned. Was that really what you thought of her? “What do you mean?” she asked you confused. “You walk away when I’m training, you don’t even look at me, and you always seem to be mad at me, you told her slowly, still not looking at her.
“I thought you were afraid of me…” Natasha said softly. You looked at her now, eyes a little wide. “Afraid of you? No. I admired you. I just figured you didn’t like me so I kept my distance,” you explained to her. Natasha smiled at you. “I didn’t agree with Fury for placing you on the team because you’re so young. It has nothing to do with you, or the person you are,” Natasha explained, shuffling a little closer.
“Come here.” She opened her arms, letting you shuffle into them. “I’ll protect you, I promise,” she said as she held her arms around you, giving you a secure and safe feeling.
“Thank you,” you whispered, closing your eyes. “Anytime kid,” Natasha replied as she let her own eyes close, falling asleep peacefully.

Mama Natasha and kid Yelena.
Natasha takes it upon herself to teach Yelena how to swim.
Word count: 2913
Tumblr media
Eleven year old Yelena watches with her bottom lip trapped between her teeth as Natasha makes it to the bottom step of the pool before turning around to face her. She was wearing a soft smile on her lips, but despite that, her tummy ached with fear. She didn't know if she could do this.
"C'mon detka," Natasha encourages as she holds out her hands, "I've got you. We'll go at your speed." She promises.
Yelena shakes her head as she takes a small step backwards. She didn't want to. What if she sunk and drowned?
"Okay," Natasha says as she side steps the set of stairs and comes to stand by the edge of the pool, "Come sit down here. Just put your legs into the water."
Complying, Yelena eases herself down and tentatively places her legs into the water. Natasha comes to stand in front of her, placing her hands either side of her thighs. Yelena liked that, knowing mommy was there if she fell.
"There we go. That's not so bad huh?" Natasha soothes, and Yelena shakes her head in hesitant agreement. She guesses it wasn't.
"When you're ready, I'm going to lift you into the water, and I'll hold you until you're ready to go further, okay?"
Although her heart hammers at the thought, Yelena finds herself nodding. She didn't want to get into the water at all, but she supposes if mommy holds her then it wouldn't be so bad.
To help keep her at ease, Natasha scoops up some water into her hands and let's it fall onto the child's legs. The blonde startles slightly at the feeling, but soon recovers and even finds herself leaning forward to scoop some water into her own hands. Natasha grins and takes the water from Yelena, letting it fall back into the pool.
They repeat this step for a little over five minutes before Yelena suddenly holds out her arms.
"You ready?" Natasha asks.
"Yes mommy." Yelena murmurs, and the red head grasps Yelena by the underarms and eases her into the pool. Like promised, she doesn't put her down yet, and instead situates the smaller girl onto her front with a supporting arm beneath her behind.
Yelena's eyes were wide as she all but clings to Natasha, her legs tightly hooked around her waist. She didn't need to do that. Not really. Natasha could hold her just fine but if it made her feel better than that was that.
"You're okay, I've got you," Natasha reassures, wrapping her other arm around the small of Yelena's back. "Just let me know when you're ready for the next step, okay?"
Yelena clutches tightly to the top of Natasha's bikini top, the backs of her fingers resting on the swell of her breast, "What's the next step?" She asks warily.
"We're going to walk around and let you get a feel of the water." Natasha tells her, "and then after that, you'll let go of me with your legs so I can put you down so you know that it's safe and you won't sink."
The thought of sinking alone was enough for Yelena's eyes to fill with tears, and Natasha immediately shushes her as she pulls her close and presses a kiss to the side of her head, "I've got you sweet girl. You're safe, I promise."
Yelena nods as she swallows heavily, "Ready." She murmurs after a few quiet minutes, and Natasha gives her a soothing squeeze as she begins to slowly walk around the shallow end of the pool. At first, Yelena's heart hammers heavily, but when she realises that mommy was staying true to her word by not letting her sink, she allows her legs to unhook from her waist.
Mommy's arm remains underneath her, but her legs wade through the water in an almost calming way further easing her nerves.
"Good girl." Natasha praises as she slowly comes to a stop next to the end of the pool again, "are you ready for the next step?"
Yelena hesitantly nods, "Don't let me go?" She pleads as her hands tighten around Natasha's bikini top.
Natasha shakes her head, "Of course not baby."
"Okay." She whispers.
Bringing both hands up to rest underneath Yelena's armpits, Natasha carefully lowers her so her feet touch the floor for a second before bringing her back up. Yelena blinks in surprise at the ease of the action, and she nods her head, allowing Natasha to do it again.
This was repeated several times, so much so that Yelena begins to find the action a little fun.
"I'm going to place you down now, but I won't let you go, okay?" Natasha murmurs as she brings her arm back up to momentarily support her, reaching her other hand up to brush away a loose strand of hair away from Yelena's face.
"Okay." Yelena whispers hoarsely, and Natasha places a kiss to her forehead before easing her down properly onto the floor of the pool. Yelena goes rigid with fear, the hands around Natasha's bathing suit shirt turning white.
"You're okay sweet girl. Look at mommy." The red head instructs softly, and Yelena's eyes immediately flicker up to her own. They were wide and full of tears, and it makes Natasha want to scoop her up and take her out of the pool. She doesn't, however, because she knew Yelena needed to get used to the water before she started her actual swimming lessons in the fall.
"Mommy." Yelena pleads, and Natasha shakes her head.
"You're okay baby. I've got you. Nothings going to happen." She reassures, and Yelena let's out a quiet whimper as she nods her head.
"Good girl," Natasha praises, bringing Yelena into her body and wrapping her arms tightly around her. That way, she was still in the water, but she was getting the comfort she needed.
Yelena's arms secure themselves tightly around her waist, her head hidden in her chest. Hands comb softly through her hair, and she forces herself to take deep breath. She was okay. Nothing was going to happen to her.
"Would you like to try floating?" Natasha murmurs into the top of Yelena's head, her hand tracing soothing circles on her back.
"How?" Yelena asks, looking up at her and resting her chin on Natasha's chest.
Natasha presses a kiss to her forehead, "Do you trust me?"
Yelena immediately nods. She'd never trusted anyone more.
Natasha keeps an arm around Yelena's back and uses the other one to grasp underneath her legs, lifting her into a cradled position in her arms.
"Good?" Natasha asks, and Yelena hesitantly nods.
Adjusting one of her hands to rest against the back of Yelena's neck and the other to rest on her lower back, Natasha lowers her down into the water.
Yelena's eyes go wide with panic, and Natasha gently shushes her, "Relax your body sweet girl. You won't sink. I promise."
"Mommy, please." Yelena whispers, her body frozen in fear, and Natasha was quick to scoop her back up into her arm. Yelena's legs were immediately around her waist, her grasp around her neck tight, and Natasha decides that getting out of the water for a second would probably be the best idea.
She sits on the top step with Yelena straddling her lap, one hand placed on the back of the child's head, "Lets take a few seconds my love. You did such a good job. Im so proud of you."
Yelena nods her head with a deep sigh, "Thanks mommy," she whispers, and Natasha places a kiss to the top of her head.
"Would you like to be done for today? We can go get you an ice cream. I think you deserve it for being so brave." Natasha fills the silence as she absentmindedly rocks Yelena back and forth in her arms.
A part of Yelena immediately wants to say yes, but she was scared that if she stopped now, she'd never get back in the water. So with a small sigh, she shakes her head, and Natasha sends her a proud smile as she stands and slowly walks them back into the water.
Like before, Natasha slowly paces the perimeter of the pool to get Yelena used to it again. She then adjusts her to she was cradled and once again lowers her to the surface of the water.
Yelena doesn't freeze this time, but she does plead for mommy not to let her go. Natasha, of course, does not, and she was soon supporting Yelena as she floats around the shallow end of the pool.
"Done now mama. Please." Yelena begs after a few minutes, and Natasha agrees as she lifts her back upright again.
"You did so good," Natasha praises with a proud smile, "let's get you dry and dressed and we'll go get some ice cream, okay?" She adjusts Yelena to her hip as she climbs out of the pool.
"Mac and cheese too?" Yelena questions as her hands play with the end of Natasha's braid.
"Well of course."
*
The next day, Yelena once again finds herself standing opposite Natasha on the top step of the pool. The red head was once again holding her hands out for her, but unlike yesterday, she doesn't hesitate to let herself be lifted into the water. She does however cling to her bikini top, because whilst she didn't feel as scared as she did the day prior, she was still a little nervous.
"Okay, so just like yesterday, we're gonna walk around to get you used to the water." Natasha tells her as she situates an arm underneath Yelena's behind, already beginning to walk to the other side of the shallow end of the pool.
Yelena easily nods, knowing for sure that this part wasn't scary.
Her compliance, however, seems to fade the second she was lifted to mimic the position from yesterday, and she immediately lets out a quiet whimper as she strains to get back up into her mommy's arms.
"Ah ah, you've done this before sweet girl. You know I have you." Natasha soothes, trailing her thumb over the back of Yelena's neck. Her other hand remains placed against the girls lower back, affectively keeping her afloat.
The blonde nods, but that doesn't stop the tears of fear from burning her eyes. She knows mommy had her. She knows mommy wouldn't let her sink. But she was still scared, and she didn't know how to stop being scared. Her fear soon gets the best of eye, and she lets out a small cry as she scrambles to get into mommy's arms.
"Okay okay. It's okay." Natasha caves as she lifts Yelena back up onto her hip, trailing soothing circles with her hand against her back.
"I don't want to swim," Yelena sniffles, "please don't make me." Her voice was borderline pleading, and guilt immediately hits Natasha straight in the stomach.
She didn't want to make Yelena do anything she didn't want to do, but she had to learn how to swim for her own safety. If one day her child drowns because she'd never been taught how, then she knew she'd never forgive herself. So, as much as she didn't want to, and as much as she wanted to take Yelena away from what was scaring her, she remains standing in the centre of the large pool.
"I know baby," she murmurs in understanding before pressing a kiss to the side of Yelena's head, "but I think it's best you at least learn how to float by yourself so you're always safe around water."
Yelena knows her mommy was right, but she was just so scared.
"Let's try one last time okay?" Mommy's voice immediately brings her out of her thoughts. "And if you really don't like it, we'll try again another day."
Swallowing heavily, Yelena nods her head as she sits herself upright in Natasha's arms, "Okay." She murmurs in agreement, and the red head places a gentle kiss to her cheek once again shifting her to be cradled in her arms.
Suddenly, Natasha was hit with an idea, and she finds herself setting Yelena down onto her feet. The child looks up at her in confusion, and she sends her as gentle grin.
"Are you worried about going under the water?" She asks almost knowingly, and although that particular thought had never come to mind, Yelena finds herself nodding.
The water itself was fine, so it must be that she was scared of going under.
"Watch mommy, okay?" Natasha cups Yelena's cheeks, the pads of her thumbs giving the soft, baby skin a gentle touch.
Still confused, Yelena nods her head. Suddenly, mommy closes her eyes and lowers her whole entire body underneath the water. She was back up before Yelena could even realise what had happened.
But, she realises, mommy was fine. She didn't look scared or anything.
Natasha send the bewildered child a small grin, "I went under, and I was fine. If I hold you, do you want to try?" She questions as she bends slightly, looping an arm underneath Yelena's behind to lift her back up into her arms.
Yelena immediately hooks her legs around her waist, "You won't let go?"
"No sweet girl. I promise." Natasha soothes.
"And we'll come right back up?"
Natasha nods again.
"Okay," Yelena gives in, "but quick okay?"
"Okay baby," Natasha agrees, "when I say three, take a deep breath and close your eyes. When you hit the water, blow out through your nose."
Yelena tilts her head to side. "Why?"
Natasha couldn't help but place a soft kiss her chubby cheek, "Because otherwise water will go up your nose, and that's not a very nice feeling." She explains, and Yelena nods her head.
"Okay." Yelena nods in understanding.
"Ready?" Natasha asks.
Yelena nods.
"Okay, one, two, and three." Yelena immediately takes a deep breath and closes her eyes, letting it out through her nose just seconds before they both go under the water.
They were back up in seconds, and Yelena blinks to get the water out of her eyes before sending her mommy a grin. She really liked that.
"Again?" She asks hopefully.
Natasha raises an eyebrow in surprise, but nods her head. On the count of three, she brings them both underneath for a second before once again breaking the surface.
"Again mommy." Yelena pleads with a small laugh of glee, and Natasha couldn't help but chuckle as she brings the underneath for the third time.
Now she knew what it felt like, Yelena didn't think it would be so bad if she accidentally went under whilst learning how to float.
"Okay, are we ready to try again?" Natasha asks, and Yelena immediately knew what she meant. She takes a deep breath before unhooking her legs from around Natasha, allowing herself to be held in a cradled position. Almost immediately she lets her body go limp, and she realises, with great surprise, that even though mommy had her, she wasn't sinking.
"There we go," Natasha encourages, "you're doing such a good job sweet girl."
Yelena couldn't help but blush at the praise. She liked it when mommy was proud of her.
With great trepidation, she even releases her grasp from around mommy's bathing suit and lets her hands float on the surface of the water too.
"Good girl." Natasha praises again, "now, if I can let you go and you can float by yourself for ten seconds, we can go out and get that stuffed animal you've been wanting."
Yelena's eyes rip open, "Stitch?" She asks hopefully. She'd been wanting that for so long, ever since she saw it at the Disney store two whole months ago.
"Mhh," Natasha nods with a grin, "Do you think you can do it?" She asks.
Yelena looks between her mommy and the water for a moment before nodding, "You'll be here?"
"I'll be right next to you the whole time." Natasha promises, "if you keep your eyes open, you'll even be able to see me."
With a new stuffed animal just out of reach, Yelena knew she had to do it.
"Okay." She murmurs, taking a deep breath.
Natasha let's go of her neck first, that being the hand that was supporting Yelena the least. She then waits for a few seconds to make sure everything was okay before slowly letting Yelena go with her other hand.
Yelena goes rigid for a second before remembering that she had to relax, and suddenly, she finds herself floating all on her own. She couldn't quiet make herself open her eyes yet, but that was okay. One step at a time.
Suddenly, she was pulled upright into her mommy's arms. And she blinks in surprise. Was ten seconds over already?
"You did it! See, I knew you could. I'm so proud of you." Natasha praises as she rocks her joyfully side to side, and Yelena giggles happily as she clings to her and buries her face into her neck.
"I did it mommy." She murmurs bashfully, and Natasha nods as she pulls her away and presses a soft kiss to her for head, her nose, her cheeks and even an innocent little peck to her lips.
"You did baby. You did such a good job." Natasha cups her cheek, "now, how'd you feel about going to pick stitch up and bring him to his new home?"
Yelena grins. She'd like that very much.

Y/N: 4 years old Billy and Tommy: 6 years old ——————————————————
NO ONE'S POV Y/N shuffles into the living room with a huge pout on her face, holding a teddy bear in her hand and dragging her legs towards the redhead who's sitting on the couch.
Natasha doesn't notice the tiny body and keeps her gaze on the TV. The moment she realizes is when Y/N buries her face into the redhead's thighs.
"Детка, what are you doing?" Natasha chuckles, hooking her hands under Y/N's armpits and sitting the tiny one on her lap. (baby)
Y/N looks at her, pout still present on her face on which Natasha playfully pouts back. And on that Y/N wraps her tiny arms around the redhead's neck and buries her face there.
"What got you so upset, baby?" Natasha asks softly, rubbing the little girl's back and holding her close.
"Mommy" Y/N mumble out.
"Mommy made you upset? What did she do to you?" Natasha asks playfully, an amusing smile playing on her lips.
"Mommy said: 'no, Y/N/N, I have to cook, go play with Billy and Tommy'" Y/N explains, pulling out her best acting skills. "But Billy and Tommy don't want to play with me" She sighs dramatically and drops her tiny hands on her lap.
"Well, but you haven't asked me, have you?" Natasha raises an eyebrow with a smile, making the little girl smile back.
"Will you play with me, mama?" Y/N asks with the sweetest smile, making Natasha let out a small gasp.
This is the first time Y/N's ever called her that, the first time anyone has ever called her that. Her and Wanda are dating for 2 years and she wouldn't expect any of Wanda's children to see her as a parent.
Billy and Tommy are older and even before Y/N was born, Wanda was thinking about eventually leaving Vision. To be honest, a robot who has no idea about human emotions is not a good partner.
But Wanda found out she was going to have another baby and tried to save her relationship with the robot, but it just didn't work, so they broke up. Well, and 2 years ago she got together with Natasha and she couldn't be more happy.
The fact is that Y/N is actually the first one who accepted Natasha when Wanda announced their relationship. She only just turned 2 back then, but that doesn't change the fact that Natasha was and is one of her favorite people.
Not like the twins… Vision seems to have quite an influence on them, so liking Natasha definitely isn't even close to how they feel about her. But Natasha keeps trying and hoping that some day it'll get better.
"Of course, I'll play with you, sweetheart" Natasha smiles, giving the tiny girl a little cuddle, and presses a kiss to the top of Y/N's head. "Let's find some toys"
Natasha stands up, sitting Y/N on her hip, and starts to walk to Y/N and the boys' playroom.
"Mama, you and mommy are my favorite, FAVORITE ever" Y/N says enthusiastically, making sure the word 'favorite' is loud enough while kicking her small legs happily.
"Yeah?" Natasha smiles as the little one nods. "Well, you are my favorite, favorite too, детка" She tells Y/N back which immediately brings a smile to Y/N's face as she cuddles up to the redhead. (baby)
"What troubles are my favorite girls causing?" Wanda teases, spotting the pair walking around the kitchen.
That's enough for Y/N to bring back the pout she had previously on her lips while Natasha just chuckles at the sight of Y/N's cute little face.
"Aw, what's wrong, my little monkey?" Wanda pouts back playfully, giving her daughter's tummy a little tickle.
"Well, I've heard that mommy upset her. Am I right, детка?" Natasha says, letting out a little chuckle as Y/N nods her head with the pout still present on her lips. (baby)
"What did mommy do to you, malysh?" Wanda asks playfully.
"Mommy didn't want to play with me and said: 'no, Y/N/N, I have to cook, go play with Billy and Tommy'. But Billy and Tommy don't want to play with me too, mommy" Y/N explains dramatically.
"Well, someone needs to cook the dinner, baby. What would we eat then?" Wanda asks softly with a smile before pressing a kiss to her daughter's forehead.
"That's okay, mommy. Mama will play with me" Y/N's pout gets replaced by a sweet smile immediately.
"I need to cook, bubs, remember?" Wanda repeats, giving her daughter an apologetic look, but Y/N just shakes her head.
"Not you, mommy. Mama" The little one explains like it was the most obvious thing ever, pointing at Natasha and swinging her legs happily.
"Oh, mama will. I see" Wanda smiles warmly, locking her eyes with Natasha's who smiles widely back and rests her head against Y/N's before pressing a kiss to the tiny one's head.
"Have fun, you two. I'll call you on dinner" Wanda smiles, placing a kiss on her daughter's small nose that looks exactly like hers before pecking her girlfriend's lips.
Natasha just smiles back and carries Y/N away, so they could play like Y/N wanted. She's definitely excited about having a playdate with the tiny troublemaker, even more so to be her mother, help Wanda with raising her and see her grow up.

“Hey baby,” you say as you lean on the doorframe of Natasha’s home office.
She spins around in her chair and smiles up at you. You never tire of seeing that beautiful grin.
“Are you saying hi to me or the actual baby?” She jokes.
“Both of you.”
You walk further into the room and make grabby hands for your six month old daughter. Nat hands her to you, knowing she’s hungry and wants to see her other mom.
You kiss her forehead and hold her against your shoulder. She presses her head against your neck and whines softly.
“I know, sweetheart,” you coo, trying to soothe her a bit. “Are you coming, Mama?”
“Soon,” Nat replies. “I need to finish up a few things.”
“Don’t take too long please.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it.”
You share another smile with your wife and leave to go feed your baby girl. The process takes a while, but the bonding is very much worth it. She is ready to burp by the time Natasha makes it to her nursery.
“Let me do it,” she says. “You’re still work clothes and we both know this girl will spit up all over you.”
“Thank you, honey,” you reply. She usually makes fun of the pet names but today she doesn’t say anything.
She helps the little girl burp and does in fact get covered in spit up in the process of doing so.
“You okay?” You ask her.
“Oh yeah, I love being covered in this,” Nat says dryly, but not seriously.
You take Ali back and feed her more. Nat sits on the arm of the rocking chair you’re sitting in.
“No, I mean are you okay?” You ask, placing a hand on her thigh. “You haven’t teased me about the pet names since I’ve been home today.”
“I know,” she says. “I think I’m too exhausted. I’m sorry.”
Her voice sounds distant and worse for wear. You hate seeing her like this.
“Hey, come on baby tell me what’s going on,” you say. “It’s just me.”
“It’s nothing.”
“Natasha,” you warn. She knows she needs to just be honest. You already can tell something is off with her.
“The team needs me to go on a mission,” Nat admits.
“Oh.”
“And I know we discussed me having a whole year of desk work once Ali was born,” Nat continues. “But this one is just out of my control. I’ve been working overtime to try and figure a way to get the intel I need without going.”
“But it’s not working,” you finish for her.
“No it’s not,” she agrees. “I’m so frustrated.”
“Natasha, you can’t always fix everything.”
“But I want to,” she says unreasonably.
“I know, baby. It’s going to be okay.”
You lean your head against her arm. It’s the best you can do for now as you juggle an eating baby in your arms.
Ali finishes and Nat takes her back into her arms. You go to the living room to sit together. Nat puts Ali in her play chair.
You two sit together and watch her giggle and play.
“Call Steve and the team,” you say after a few minutes. “Tell them you’ll go on the mission.”
“But-“
“No buts,” you interrupt her. “I can handle baby girl. And you won’t rest until you’ve figured this out.”
“You know I love you, right?” Nat asks.
“And you know I love you, right?” You counter.
“It’s one of the few things I’m sure of these days,” Nat says.
“Come here, Natasha,” you say, holding out your arms for her to fully snuggle into.
You kiss her lips softly before she snuggles into your chest. You hold her tight for as long as she wants.
Everything will be okay as long as you have each other.

 |——————————— ⴵ ———————————|
After you had finished eating, Natasha and you continued watching the show. At some point, Natasha had gotten up and returned with hot chocolate. She handed it to you and watched very closely as you drank it, making sure you drank it all.
You didn't understand it, but you decided not to question it and decided not to acknowledge the stares she was giving you.
After you finished the hot chocolate, it made sense to you, as you suddenly became extremely sleepy. Natasha had probably drugged the hot chocolate. She didn't make a move to get up though, continuing to watch to show like nothing was going on. You kept yawning, but she didn't acknowledge it. After about half an hour, her phone started ringing. She turned the alarm off and turned to you.
“Time for bed,” she stated as she got up, still wearing a smile on her face. It creeped you out. She seemed… excited, to put you to bed. You were scared. You didn't know what she was gonna do.
You got up slowly, following Natasha as she walked to the stairs and made her way up towards your room. It was now that you noticed it had a name plate on it, decorated with your favorite colors and your name written in your favorite font.
Natasha opened the door, urging you to step inside, then following you and closing the door behind her. You were shaking slightly, scared of what she was going to do now, but she either didn't notice or didn't care. She just walked towards the bathroom door, walking inside and grabbing something, what you could only guess was a toothbrush as you heard the water run for just a moment.
She already knew so much personal information about you, so of course she knew that you wet the toothbrush before brushing your teeth.
She walked back out, looking confused that you hadn't followed her. She walked towards you and placed her hand on your lower back, leading you into the bathroom and handing you the toothbrush. She herself grabbed a hair brush, and she stood behind you as she watched you brush your teeth through the mirror.
When she carefully grabbed your hair you flinched slightly, and she just smiled at you. She started brushing your hair, careful not to hurt you as she brushed all the knots out.
You silently brushed your teeth, watching carefully as Natasha focused on your hair. She was still wearing that creepy smile, and you didn't like how she looked so extremely obsessed with you. When she finished brushing your hair, she put the hairbrush down, parting your hair and making a braid.
She finished quickly, her hands working skillfully as she braided your hair neatly. Once she finished, you decided it was a good time to finish too, so you stopped brushing and went to get a bit of water, but Natasha stopped you with a hand on your shoulder, keeping you upright.
She grabbed the toothbrush from your hand, turning you around and holding your chin with her free hand.
When you didn't immediately open your mouth she frowned. You just looked at her confused. You didn't understand what she wanted. Did she want to inspect your mouth or anything?
“Open your mouth,” she urged, holding up the toothbrush. Your eyes widened, but you didn't open your mouth. “Listen to your mother, y/n. Open your mouth.” You shook your head slightly, and Natasha let go of your chin, only for that same hand to quickly make contact with your cheek. It wasn't as hard as before, but it still stung.
She grabbed your chin again, pulling your face back up towards her. “Open your mouth, sweetie,” she stated calmly, smiling down at you.
Tears stung in your eyes from the pain and embarrassment when you finally opened your mouth, standing absolutely still as she brushed your teeth for you. She finished quickly, pulling the toothbrush from your mouth and kissing your cheek. “Good job for mama,” she said, rinsing the toothbrush and grabbing a cup with water, allowing you to rinse your mouth.
After you were done, she led you back into the bedroom, walking towards the bed and pulling the covers up. She turned around to look at you, and you quickly got in the bed.
Natasha smiled at you as she tucked you in, putting your stuffed animal close to you, making sure you could hug it easily. You yawned again, too tired from the drugs she had put into your hot chocolate, and you fell asleep almost instantly, nice and cosy in the warmth of the bed.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning Natasha woke you up. She had softly knocked on the door before she decided to let herself in, walking towards the curtains and opening them slightly.
You groaned and rubbed your eyes, and Natasha was quick to take a seat next to you on the bed. “How did you sleep princess?” she asked you as she gently wiped some hairs from your face. You shrugged, avoiding her gaze as she smiled down at you. “Not much of a morning person, I know,” she sighed.
“Are you my grumpy little baby?” she teased, leaning slightly closer and rubbing her nose on your cheek softly. You groaned and turned your head away, and Natasha laughed slightly.
“Well it's time to get up. It's time for a bath,” she said as she stood up, walking into the bathroom. You heard her turn on the tab of the bath, tumbling through some cabinets, probably to find some bath soap. Your eyes widened. Was she actually going to give you a bath?
She walked back into your room with a smile, walking towards you and pulling the covers away from you. “Come on, time to pick some clothes for the day,” she urged as she grabbed your hand, pulling you into a sitting position.
You let her lead you as she walked towards the closet. You hadn't taken much time to inspect the kind of clothes in it, but now that you did you noticed the wide variety. All these clothes must've cost a fortune. Natasha walked over to a cabinet, pushing a sliding door open to reveal different kinds of dresses. She picked out a gray dress that seemed to be made out of some sweatshirt material. It was puffy at the bottom, making it appear as a decent dress.
In reality, there really wasn't much for you to pick as Natasha went around the closet, grabbing everything you'd need.
Once she finished, she grabbed your hand and led you to the bathroom. She neatly folded the clothes and placed them on a cabinet, turning back to you and reaching for your shirt. You quickly took a step back, pushing the pajama shirt down again.
“What's wrong, dorogoy? You can't take a bath with your clothes on now, can you?”
Natasha moved closer towards you, trying to reach for your shirt again. “I can take a bath myself,” you told her quickly, taking another step back. Natasha sighed and smiled at you. “Sweetie, I know that you think that, but you need to be cleaned properly,” she explained, making another move to reach for your shirt.
You firmly held your place, still pushing down the shirt with your hands. Natasha sighed again, in frustration this time. “I do not want to put up with this right now. Do as I say,” she said sternly, and you felt a shiver run down your back.
When you still didn't move, you felt another slap on your cheek. Your head moved to the side as the tears started again.
Natasha seemed unbothered by your reaction, feeling like slapping you was completely normal for when you didn't listen. She moved towards you, and this time you didn't dare resist her as she pulled the shirt over your head.
You quickly covered your chest, feeling shy and exposed to the woman in front of you.
Natasha didn't seem bothered, but instead worked quickly to get you out of your clothes and help you step into the bath. Once you were settled into the bath, you quickly moved the bubbles that had risen over your body, successfully covering yourself up.
Natasha chuckled slightly at your actions and grabbed some different soap bottles, moving to sit on a stool next to the bathtub.
She took out the braid she had made last night, and scooped some water from the bath with a cup, gently pouring it over your hair. She rinsed your hair thoroughly before grabbing some shampoo, massaging it into your hair before grabbing the cup again to rinse it out.
You were stubborn enough to not lean into her touch, but you couldn't deny you enjoyed the way she washed your hair.
After your hair was finished she allowed you to do the rest of your body on your own, something which you were grateful for. When she decided that you had finished, she grabbed a big fluffy towel and held it up, silently telling you to get up from the bath.
Once you got up she wrapped the towel around you, engulfing you into its warmth. She helped you dry off and get dressed.
She then grabbed your toothbrush again, putting the toothpaste on and rinsing it under water. You frowned, looking confused as to why she'd do that in the morning. When she noticed your expression she smiled. “You have to brush your teeth twice a day, detka,” she simply spoke as she grabbed your chin.
Recalling what happened yesterday, you quickly opened your mouth and let her brush your teeth.
-------------------------------------------------------------
After having breakfast, Natasha allowed you to roam around the house for a bit. You weren't sure where you were going, as the house was massive and there were many rooms. After exploring for a while, you realized some closet doors were locked, and there were safety locks on some drawers as well.
Natasha observed you as you slowly checked everything out, making sure to keep her eye on you to ensure you didn't do anything stupid.
“Why are some drawers locked?” you asked quietly when you made it back to the kitchen, where Natasha was sitting. “I don't want you to hurt yourself,” she stated simply, sipping her coffee. “What are you going to do to me?” you asked suddenly, making Natasha look up from her phone.
“Nothing,” she stated, smiling at you. “So you'll let me go?” you asked hopefully, but Natasha just smiled and shook her head.
“Where would you go? You're already home,” she explained. You shook your head angrily. “This isn't my home!” you told her, but she just smiled. “Go to your room and cool off,” she stated.
You were upset, but listened to what she told you, afraid she'd hurt you again. You walked upstairs and went into your bedroom, letting yourself fall onto your bed. You were angry. So incredibly angry.
After a few minutes of taking deep breaths, you calmed a little and decided to take a better look at your room. Like you already noticed, everything you owned was there. From your notebooks to your colored pencils, everything was accounted for. The only difference was that the things in your room were new and clean, while your books back home were damaged from all the moving around.
When you went to the desk you found your coloring book, and you decided to color a bit to help yourself calm down.
It was raining heavily outside, and you couldn't deny that you enjoyed the warmth of the house, the cold autumn air outside as you sat inside with the heater on.
There was a small couch, level with the window, and you sat on it for a while. You were thinking about the weird two days that you'd had. You still couldn't wrap your head around it. Why on earth would Natasha Romanoff, an Avenger, kidnap you? Were all Avengers as deranged as she was, or do they have no idea Natasha kidnapped you?
When it was time for lunch, Natasha made her way upstairs, finding you sitting in the window.
She smiled at the sight, happy to see her daughter finally home. She knew you'd learn to accept it. Learn to love her. She was confident.
When you noticed her you turned to look at her, seeing her smile at you. “I made lunch,” she stated, motioning her head towards the stairs. Without a word you followed her, sitting at the kitchen counter as you watched her plate the food.
“When can I go outside?” you asked quietly, almost whispering. Natasha let out a little snort. “It's practically storming. Why would you want to go outside?” she asked you, finishing plating the eggs and returning the pan to the stove.
You shrugged slightly, picking at the sleeve of your dress.
Natasha placed your food in front of you, looking at you expectedly.  “Thank you…” you said, watching as Natasha smiled and sat down in front of you.
You ate your food quietly, the only sound was the rain pattering against the windows. You enjoyed the quiet, but felt uncomfortable with Natasha staring at you. You cleared your throat slightly as you sat up a little straighter. “So when do I go to school?”
Natasha looked a bit taken back, but soon returned her facial expression back to normal. “Why would you wanna go back to school?” she asked, and you shrugged.
“Isn't that like, the law or something,” you said, not daring to meet her gaze.
Natasha chuckled slightly, “not in this country.”
“What country are we in?” you asked surprised, shocked to hear you weren't in the US anymore. “That's nothing to worry about, detka. Your eggs are getting cold,” she said simply, eating some of her eggs herself.
“Where are we?!” you urged on, and Natasha let out a sigh of frustration as she put her fork down. “We are home-” “Where the fuck are we?!” you yelled at her, afraid of what country you might've ended up in. “You listen to me young lady. I have warned you multiple times to not speak to me in such a tone. We are home and that is final,” Natasha stated firmly, but you just stood up in frustration.
“Where the fuck did you take me?!” you yelled, and Natasha got up as well. “This is your last warning y/n, I mean it.” “Where the fuck are we you crazy motherfucker-” you whimpered as your sentence was cut off with another slap.
You could've known it was coming, but you were too blinded by frustration to think clearly.
Natasha grabbed your wrist and led you to a basement, dragging you down the stairs and pushing you to the ground. She crouched down to be at your eye level, roughly grabbing your face and squeezing your cheeks together.
“Now you listen to me very carefully. We are at home, I am your mother, and you will stop speaking to me in such a tone,” she stated, squeezing your cheeks a little rougher. “Do you understand?”
You nodded the best you could, tears rolling down your cheeks. Natasha let go of your face and slapped you, grabbing you cheeks as fast as she had let go, making you face her again.
“Say you understand!” she yelled at you. “I understand…” you croaked out, falling to the floor completely when Natasha let your face go. She quickly stood up and made her way back to the door, leaving you in the basement on your own.
The basement was cold and you shivered as you felt the air blow in. You could still hear the rain, but everything was muffled.
You had tried to open the door, but it was of no use. It wouldn't budge, and you cried out in frustration, hitting it with your fists. After trying the door for a few minutes, you curled up into the corner, shivering as you closed your eyes.
After a few hours, the door of the basement opened again, and Natasha walked in. She crouched down next to you and hugged you, pulling you into her. She rocked you gently back and forth, shushing your light sniffling.
“It's okay now, mama's here. Mama loves you my sweet baby,” she spoke softly, kissing the top of your head.
“Let's go,” she said as she pulled you to your feet, leading you out of the basement and into the warm home again. She settled you down on the couch and wrapped you in a soft blanket, again it being your favorite color.
She sat next to you and pulled you into her, rubbing her hand up and down your arm, trying to help warm you up. It was like she had taken a complete twist from the woman that locked you in the basement. Instead, she was warm and caring again, comforting you like she had done no wrong. Maybe that was what she actually believed. Maybe she believed she had done no wrong.
Natasha cupped your cheeks, gently turning your head to face her again. “Are you going to listen to mama now?” she asked, and you nodded.
“Say it,” she softly, but firmly reminded you.
“I understand,” you told her, but Natasha just shook her head. “You understand… who?” “I understand Natasha-” big mistake, as another blow landed on your cheek.
“Do not ever call me that again,” she said, looking at you expectedly. “I understand… mama…” you slowly said, averting your gaze away from her. Natasha smiled and leaned towards you, giving you a kiss on your forehead. “I knew you'd understand. You're such a smart girl,” she praised you as she gave you another kiss on your cheek, leaning back on the couch and pulling you into her again, hugging you close.
How on earth could a woman be this deranged?

Spider-Girl gets heatstroke ft Wanda Maximoff and Natasha Romanoff
The sun bore down mercilessly on the city, amplifying the already stifling heat. Y/N Parker, also known as Spider-Girl, swung through the crowded urban landscape, her agile form navigating effortlessly between towering buildings. The snug superhero suit clung to her like a second skin, offering little reprieve from the oppressive warmth.
Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, and Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, followed closely behind. The three made an unlikely but formidable team, each contributing their unique skills to the cause. Today's mission had brought them into the heart of the city, where the scorching heat seemed to amplify with every passing minute.
As they reached the rooftop where their target was supposed to be, Y/N's movements started to slow. The heat had become an almost tangible force, sapping her strength and leaving her feeling sluggish. Wanda exchanged a concerned look with Natasha, both recognizing the toll the weather was taking on their youngest teammate. Natasha was the first to say something about it over the comms.
Natasha - Kiddo, we need to take a break. It's too hot up here.
Y/N hesitated, her hand gripping the edge of the building for support.
Y/N - I'm fine!
Insisted the adolescent as her voice strained.
Wanda moved closer, placing a hand on Y/N's shoulder.
Wanda - You need to take care of yourself. This heat is dangerous. *frowns*
But Y/N, ever the stubborn teenager, shook her head.
Y/N - I can handle it. Let's finish this.
Natasha sighed, sharing a worried glance with Wanda. They pressed on, but it wasn't long before Y/N's movements became more laboured. Sweat dripped down her forehead, and her breaths were audible over the comms.
Wanda - We need to get her out of here.
The Scarlet Witch urged, her concern deepening.
Natasha grabbed Y/N's arm.
Natasha - Come on, baby. We're calling it a day.
Y/N resisted.
Y/N - No, I can't let them—
Wanda cut in, her voice firm.
Wanda - Your health is more important. The mission can wait.
Reluctantly, Y/N allowed herself to be guided away from the edge of the building. The trio found a shaded spot, but Y/N was insistent on finishing the mission even if she was already swaying slightly.
Y/N - I just need a moment...
Natasha - You need more than a moment. You need water and rest. *crosses her arms*
Y/N's stubbornness flared, and she pushed herself up.
Y/N - I can't let them get away. I can—
Her words were slurred, and her vision blurred. The next thing she knew, she was on her knees, the world spinning around her. Wanda and Natasha exchanged alarmed glances.
Wanda - Y/N!
Wanda cried out, rushing to her side.
Natasha activated her comm.
Natasha - We need an evac. Now.
Y/N tried to push herself up, but her limbs felt like lead. The last thing she heard before darkness claimed her was Wanda's worried voice calling her name.
______________________________________________________________
When Y/N opened her eyes, the world was a blur of white. She blinked, trying to make sense of her surroundings. The low hum of the quinjet's engines filled the air. She was lying on one of the benches, and her suit had been partially removed.
Y/N - Wanda? Natasha?
She croaked.
The two women appeared at her side, relief was evident in their eyes.
Natasha - You fainted detka, heatstroke.
Explained the Black Widow, her voice a mix of sternness and concern.
Y/N groaned, remembering the mission.
Y/N - Did we catch them?
Wanda smiled gently, brushing a strand of hair from Y/N's face.
Wanda - Yes, we did. But you scared us. You need to take better care of yourself, honey.
Y/N mumbled an apology, attempting to sit up. Natasha pressed her back down as she spoke firmly about their order.
Natasha - Rest, we'll be back at headquarters soon.
Wanda held a bottle of water to Y/N's lips, urging her to drink. The cool liquid was a balm for her parched throat. As Y/N sipped the water, Natasha began removing the rest of her suit to help her cool down.
Y/N - I can do that myself.
Protested the youngest weakly.
Wanda - You're in no condition to argue, my dear. *chuckles*
They worked efficiently, and the atmosphere was a mix of professionalism and genuine concern. Y/N couldn't help but feel grateful for the two women who had become her teammates and, in many ways, her surrogate family and mothers, in their own way.
Once out of the stifling suit, Y/N felt a wave of relief. The cool air of the quinjet was a welcome contrast to the oppressive heat outside. Wanda conjured a soft breeze, further easing Y/N's discomfort.
Natasha - You scared us back there, sweetheart.
Natasha admitted, her eyes intense.
Y/N - I'm sorry. I just wanted to finish the mission. *sighs*
Wanda placed a hand on Y/N's shoulder.
Wanda - There will always be another mission. But you only have one health and body for us to kiss, hug and give tickles. Don't jeopardize it for the sake of a mission. *tickles Y/N*
Y/N - Stopp- *giggling*
Natasha - Let her rest Wanda. It's okay lovebug *kisses forehead*
They lapsed into a comfortable silence, the hum of the quinjet providing a backdrop to their thoughts. Y/N closed her eyes, allowing herself to rest, knowing that she was in capable hands.
As the quinjet touched down at headquarters, Natasha and Wanda helped Y/N to her feet. She felt a little unsteady, but the support from her motherly teammates kept her upright.
Natasha - Promise us you'll take better care of yourself, babygirl.
Natasha said with her tone meaning business.
Y/N nodded, a genuine smile playing on her lips.
Y/N -  I promise, moms.
Wanda grinned, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Wanda - And if you don't, we might have to resort to more drastic measures.
Y/N - Like what? *raises an eyebrow*
Wanda and Natasha exchanged a knowing look before simultaneously saying: Mama bear's voice, the head-tilt and the raised eyebrow.
Y/N burst into laughter, the sound echoing through the quinjet. As they exited the aircraft, a trio of superheroes ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, Y/N couldn't help but feel grateful for the bonds forged not just in battle but in the quiet moments of care and concern.

"Very good, soldier." A voice interrupted the brief silence that had fallen over the room "You have finally completed your training and you're now ready for a very special mission."
The man stepped forward, allowing himself to get a better view of the subject in front of him in the dimness of the room.
You lift your head, every breath coming out in labored breaths, as you took in the sight of the agent in front of you.
Today's training session has been more intense than any other one, demanding you to overuse your powers.
"And what that might be?" You breathed out, straightening your back
The agent smirked "Oh, I can guarantee that you'll love this mission." He sang
"Then I am ready for any mission the organization has for me." You replied, intrigued by all the mystery of this upcoming mission
"That's what we love to hear." The man declared "Then it's time for you to know the target of your mission."
The agent lifted his hand and held a file up, extending it for you to grab.
"You have all the details here." He declared
You curiously opened the file and peeked at the first page inside of it.
You swallowed the lump that formed in your throat unexpectedly but you tried to maintain your composure as the reality of your actions and the identity of your supposed target settled in.
"I can't." You mumbled, your voice betraying your inner turmoil, as you quickly passed the file back to your boss "This wasn't the deal."
The agent chuckled.
"This was very much the deal, young soldier." He coldly replied "As I can remember, this was the plan you asked our help for."
A shiver ran down your spine and the rhythm of your heartbeat quickened its pace.
"No." You hesitantly shook your head "I said I needed help to take my revenge on her." You explained "Not on all of them. Not on him."
"But why stop there?" The agent raised his eyebrow "Why would you want to take your revenge on just one person when you can take it on all of them?"
"Even if it was true, the others are still my family." You reasoned
"Your family?!" The agent shouted, immediately silencing you "Must I remind you that this so-called family of yours abandoned you, that they threw you away as if you were mere trash?"
"It doesn't matter, Sir." You held your ground "I am not going to kill the Avengers."
You blinked.
The agent grabbed you by your vest with such force that, for a second, you weren't able to process what was happening.
"Listen here, Y/N." The agent mockingly whispered your name "This is HYDRA, not that joke of an agency called S.H.I.E.L.D. you grew up in. Your mission is to kill all of the Avengers, starting with those traitors who are now called Natasha Romanoff and Bucky Barnes. Am I clear?"
"Sir..." You tried to conceal the fear you were feeling, failing miserably "Sir, this went too far. I'm sorry but I can't." You shook your head
A shout was heard and your body collided with the cold floor as the HYDRA agent pushed you with all his force.
"Y/N Yelena Romanova." The agent shouted "You have been ours long before Natalia Romanova decided to play pretend that she can be something she was never meant to be." He hissed "A mother."
You kept your mouth shut, too afraid of saying something that might anger the agent more as he continued speaking.
"She stole you from us, gave you another name, just for you to return on your own will to us and ask us for help to get your revenge on her." He reminded you "We took you in, trained you, gave you powers, all just so you could make her pay and now you dare to reject the opportunity to kill them?!"
"Sir, I just..." You tried to defend yourself
"Shut up!" He ordered "I am going to give you three hours to think about your answer just to show you that we can have some understanding towards our subjects and when I'll summon you back to me, I hope I won't regret giving you a chance."
You nodded "Yes, Sir!"
"Now disappear." He pointed with his head towards the door
You stood up from the ground and dusted your clothes before making your way to your assigned room.
-
~~~~~
Your heart pounded in your chest as you sniffled your fear away.
This was what you wanted after all.
This was what you needed.
You needed revenge and this was the only way you could achieve your goal.
Machines hummed and buzzed around you but you tried to not mind their noise as you were keeping your calm demeanor as a façade to protect yourself.
"Alright, subject." A man dressed in a white coat looked at you "Are you ready for this?"
You nodded, determination shining in your tired eyes "As ready as I can be. If this will help me prove to my mother that I can be useful too, then hurry up and do it."
"She's ready." Another man's voice was heard from somewhere inside the room but you couldn't tell exactly who spoke as the restrainents that kept you glued to the cold metallic table stoped you from looking
The man with the white coat pressed a few buttons and in a fraction of a second, pain flooded through your body as waves of electricity swirled around you, sending shocks flooding through your body.
Time seemed to stay still as you screamed out in agony out of pure reflex, your body spasming with each shockwave you received.
In that moment, buried memories resurfaced inside your mind.
You remembered the happier times and a pang of sadness weighed heavy on your heart.
But just as the good memories came to the front of your mind, so did the bad ones, reminding you of the true reason why you came to HYDRA for help.
The Avengers hate HYDRA and HYDRA hates the Avengers.
You hoped that by joining and serving the rival organization, you could make Natasha realize how wrong she was for treating you like she did.
You hoped to make them feel betrayed and rejected.
Just as you felt.
Darkness enveloped you, and your weakened body stopped spasming, but one thing remained clear as daylight to you.
You will take your revenge on your family for their betrayal by serving their greatest enemy, HYDRA.
~~~~~
You stared at the cement ceiling of your cell.
Your thirst for revenge was just as present as it was four months ago when you joined HYDRA.
The agent was right.
You wanted to kill the Avengers and make them pay for all of your suffering.
But still, one thing made you hesitate.
You sighed.
A memory of a smiling Tanya came to your mind and you remembered that she was as innocent as you were in this whole ordeal.
She deserved to grow up surrounded by the love of her parents as she has never done anything else other than loving you like her older sister who you actually were.
Then you thought of Bucky and the last memory you shared with him.
That fateful night, he had bought you a journal, hoping that it would help you manage your feelings better if you wrote them on the paper.
Comparing him to Natasha now, you realize that he was more of a parent to you than Natasha ever was.
How are you supposed to kill him?
Your door burst open and a security agent, who is in charge of maintaining order, walked inside your room.
"The boss calls you to him." He announced in a bored voice
You nodded "Tell him I am coming."
-
You stepped in the silence of the private office, allowing your senses to highen, as your eyes darted aimlessly around the room.
"I have been waiting for you." The voice of the man who had been in charge of your training was heard "Welcome!"
"I would thank you, Sir." You put your hands behind your back "But here doesn't exist such thing as being welcomed anywhere."
The man laughed.
"I see you learned the lesson." He smiled pleased "I hope you bring good news to me."
You kept quiet for a few moments, searching for a way to put your decision into words in such a way that HYDRA wouldn't decapitate you in a matter of seconds.
"So?" The man asked again, impatient
"Sir..." You began, taking your time to form every word that came out of your mouth "I am forever grateful for the chance you offered me and the resources you put at my disposal to achieve my ambitions."
The man slightly smiled, knowing that he had won.
"The Avengers have done me so many wrongdoings that I lost count of them." You continued "And after the time I have been granted to carefully choose the course I want for the next events to take, I came with the answer."
The man in front of you leaned backward in his chair, his body visibly relaxed as he waited for your final decision.
"I will..." You took a deep breath, steeling yourself "Not kill the Avengers, Sir. I am sorry, but I can't. They're my family no matter what."
The HYDRA agent shot up from his chair as his eyes went wide with shock.
"What did you say?!" He shouted, completely taken by surprise by your decision
"I said that I will not kill the Avengers." You repeated "I meant it when I said that everything has gone too far, Sir. Yes, I did want to take revenge on them, specifically my mother, but killing them was never my intention. All I wanted was to make them feel betrayed and hurt by becoming a HYDRA agent. Nothing more, nothing less."
"You foolish, lab rat!" The man sneered and pointed his finger at you "We created you! If you're here today it is all thanks to us! Our scientists were the ones who were in charge of creating you out of almost nothing! Now you dare defy us? You have the audacity to bite the hand that fed you?"
You looked around the room, trying to avoid the man's furious gaze.
"Please understand, Sir." You tried to reason "My heart and conscience don't let me murder the persons that saved me from hell and I realized that I made a mistake to return to the hell from where I've been rescued all these years ago."
The man calmly hummed "Hmm, so that's what you call it? A mistake?"
You braced yourself for what could happen next as you watched the man wave his hand at the shadows behind his back.
"I would call it a blessing." He said "You returned where you belong. To your true family and if your feelings stop you from taking action against your kidnappers, then we will help you gather the courage you need."
You shook your head, understanding what the agent's words meant.
"No..." You breathed out fearfully
But it was already too late.
-
Tanya sat on the carpet placed in the middle of the living room, playing with her toys, as she tried to distract herself from all the yelling that was happening in her surroundings.
"I am tired of your ignorance!" Bucky shouted at his wife, after he came back from another failed search mission where he tried to find you
"I haven't done anything wrong!" Natasha yelled back, her brain blocked in a phase of denial
"You did!" Bucky shouted "You did! You drove our child away! How could you do something like this, Natasha?!"
Natasha froze in place as her shoulders fell down.
She couldn't believe what she just heard Bucky say.
She refused to believe it.
"Natasha?" The woman asked hurt "Since when I am 'Natasha' for you?"
"Ever since Y/N went missing because of your recklessness and pride." Bucky shouted "My Natalia would have never done that to her own child. So, therefore, you are not my Natalia. You are not that girl I dreamed of having a family with."
"James, please." Natasha whispered, tears forming in her eyes "I am still the same Natalia you met so long ago."
Natasha reached to grab Bucky's hand but he pulled it away.
"Don't touch me." He said in a raised tone
Natasha sighed disappointed and nodded, pulling her hands back.
"You're mad." Natasha said "I get it."
"Mad is far from how I feel right now, Natasha." Bucky lowered his tone "I feel desperate because I am unable to find the child that has been entrusted in my protection and who knows where she is right now and what happened to her. She's just a child. You are the only one who failed to see this."
"James, just give me the chance to explain myself." Natasha pleaded "I beg you."
Bucky shook his head.
"I don't know what you have done to my Natalia but you are not the girl that made me remember how it feels to be human again." The man took a few steps backward before rushing out of the room, leaving his wife behind
Natasha fell on the couch, letting out a deep sigh, as she placed her head in her hands.
Tanya, that have been silently observing the argument between her parents, stood up, her toys forgotten on the soft carpet as she walked towards her mother.
"Mama?" Tanya cautiously called her mother
"What is it, baby?" Natasha sniffed, raising her head to look at her daughter
"Why hasn't Y/N come back yet?" Tanya innocently asked, still struggling to grasp the complexity of the situation "Is she still mad at us?"
Natasha thought about how to explain to a 5-year-old what was happening.
"I think she still is, Tatiana." Natasha lifted Tanya and sat her on her lap
"And Papa is sad because he couldn't find my sister, isn't he?" The little girl questioned sadly
Natasha guiltly nodded "Yes, sweetheart. That's why Mama and Papa are fighting."
Little Tanya looked down at her lap, her tiny eyebrows furrowing, as her mind tried to put her feelings into words.
Natasha gave Tanya time to speak at her own pace, not rushing her.
After a few minutes, Tanya looked up again at Natasha with eyes filled with tears.
"But Mama..." Tanya's high-pitched voice trembled "Why did you make Y/N go away? She is my sister. You never get mad at me cause I am your baby but Y/N is your baby too and you made her feel very sad. You always made her cry and I miss playing with her. She's the best big sister in the whole world."
A stray tear fell down Natasha's left cheek.
"Can you bring Y/N back home, Mama?" Tanya sniffed "Can you not get mad at her always? If Tanya is Mama's baby, then Y/N is Mama's baby too."
"I'm not sure, baby girl." Natasha let out a shaky breath, realizing her mistake "Mama messed up big time when she scolded Y/N/N."
"I know that Mama did bad." Tanya said "But Y/N is ours and she's my sister. She needs to live here with us."
"And she will, baby." Natasha said determined "I promise she will."
Tanya snuggled closer to Natasha's chest and sighed contently.
"I love you, Tanya." Natasha quietly declared
Tanya kissed Natasha's cheek before she quickly stood up and ran upstairs to her room.
Natasha stared at the open door that Tanya just walked out through, deeply lost in thoughts.
Her talk with Tanya had helped Natasha realize one important thing.
That Y/N was her baby no matter what and that she had made the biggest mistake in her life by doing what she did to Y/N.
And yet one question remains.
Where is Y/N?
-
"Soldat!" A voice said "Your orders are to kill the Avengers, our greatest enemies, and I want the heads of the traitors known as Natasha Romanoff and Bucky Barnes."
The man looked at the masked soldier he had created with pride, knowing that now, they would be invincible.
"Do you understand the command?" He asked sternly
"I am ready to comply." An emotionless voice replied
You stood tall, the black suit and gray vest you were wearing appeared even darker in the shadows of the private office as the mask that covered more than half of your face, perfectly concealed your identity.
The man smirked and pointed with his head towards the door.
You turned around and started walking.
Your mission?
To kill the Avengers.
