[Daxam after the explosion of Krypton]
Someone woke you up, and you were confused when you saw the fear in the eyes of your maid. "What's happening?" She didn't have the time to reply when you both heard screams and cries. She took your hand and dragged you out of the castle.
"Ms. Y/n, Krypton exploded, and it is falling on Daxam. I need to make sure you can escape." She found a Kryptonian pod and pushed you in.
"No, Abbie, I don't want to leave you." You started to cry, "Come with me, please." You plead, but she shook her head.
"You're the princess of Daxam, miss. You have to go and survive." She hugged you and apologized, "I'm sorry, Y/N." She was crying as well.
"You can't leave me. I need you, and mom, and dad and my brother" she brushed her thumb on your cheek to calm you down, "and I'm only 5, I'll not survive without you. Please Abbie" you plead again.
"I already put data in it; it'll bring you to a planet called Earth," she kissed your forehead before starting the pod. "Don't forget, miss, you're a princess; act like one," she said as she placed her hand on the window, and you reciprocated: "Good luck, miss Y/N."
You were flying into space without saying anything.The journey should have been quick, but your pod collided with an asteroid, sending you to the phantom zone.You are imprisoned for the next 27 years before miraculously escaping.
[Earth, a town near Metropolis]
When you landed on Earth, Clark was already Superman. He found your pod when you lend and helped you, and because of him, you found a new home in this new world. The (y/l/n)s were good parents; they always wanted a new child, so when the Superman asked for their assistance, they couldn't say no.
The first years were difficult, you missed your family and Abbie too. But fortunately, you were glad to have a new big brother who was a jerk but not a Don Juan and a big sister who was always here when you needed her.
After a few years and many late-night conversations with your sister, Jessy, you decide to live a life that makes you proud. Since this moment, you were not the princess of Daxam; you were just Y/n Y/l/n, daughter of James and Kathryn (Y/l/n), and the little sister of Mike and Jessy. It was all you needed, at least before you went to high school. You met her there; she was stunning and beautiful; you couldn't count how many times you were lost in her green eyes, and her black hair, which contrasted nicely with her pale skin, was also quite nice.Her name: Lena Luthor.
After taking some advice from your friends and your siblings, you asked her out, and she accepted. You started dating one month after your first date, and three years later you married her. With her job at Luthor Corp and your job at Daily Planet, you almost have time to spend together, but you decided to have a child, you carried her, and it was the most beautiful thing in your life after Lena.Her name was Lilly; you thought it was a pretty name, and it was the minimum for your pretty princess.
Time flies, Lex has gone insane just after you and Lilly move to National City. Lois found you a job at Catco where you could work less and spend more time with your daughter. Unfortunately, that means you were not here when Lex tied your wife to a chair in his office and threatened to kill you. She was aware of your past and the fact that you were a daxamite, but she didn't mind; all she cared about was the fact that you adored her and Lilly above all else.
[Present]
It's been a while now since Lena came to Central City, and you will not lie; you were pretty glad. Lilly loves you, but she missed her other mom too. Today you decided to have lunch with your wife, and you brought your daughter. It was a little surprise to Lena, but it was a surprise for you when you knocked and opened the door to find an older woman with your wife. She looked familiar, but you couldn't tell where you saw her.
The little girl didn't hesitate and rushed to her mom to greet her with a hug, and the green-eyed woman picked her up. "Hi little princess, I missed you," she cooed, and you smiled at the interaction. She looked at you and seemed to recall something, so she cleared her throat and came to a halt beside you, kissing you and saying, "Rhea, this is my wife, and Lilly is our daughter."She introduced you. "Y/n, this is Rhea. She asked for my help on a new project." She explained, and you nodded.
You offered your hand at Reah, and she shook it. "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Rhea; I hope she'll not bother you too much," you joked, and your wife punched your shoulder. "You know that doesn't hurt me, honey," you said, and Lena rolled her eyes.
"Mommy, I'm hungry." Lilly said.
"Oh, I think it's my clue to leave." The older brunette said,
"No, you can stay and eat with us." You offered.
"Oh no, I don't want to ruin a mother-daughter moment," she said, and she pocked the cheek of the little girl, who giggled,
"You don't ruin anything, Rhea." Lena said this time,
"Don't worry, there is someone who wait for me too," she said before walking to the door. "I'll see you soon, Lena." The three of you waved your hands, and she left.
"I like her," you said. "I just hope this new project will not take all your time."
The CEO kissed your cheek this time "I promise. Now let's go to eat."
~~~~~~
After your first meeting with Rhea, the woman was always here when you visited L-Corp. It was not really bothering, she was pretty good with your daughter, and Luly seems to like her too. You were waiting for your wife that night, and you were reading a bedtime story to your little princess when she said something that caught your attention: "Mama, Mrs. Rhea, look like you." You stopped reading the story and looked at her,
"What do you mean, princess?" you asked softly,
"Yeah, she looks like you, and she looks like Mike too." You frowned your brows; you hadn't met Mike, Kara's new friend, yet. Lilly and Lena liked to say you had some common point with him, but you didn't know him. "Do you think she's from Da-Dax..." She searched for the right word, and it was cute to look at.
"Daxam, baby girl. And I don't know; I almost forgot everything about it. It's been a while you know." She nodded, "Now it's time to sleep, little princess. Tomorrow we will go to the carnival with mommy," you said, and she was so excited.
You left her bedroom when you were sure she was sleeping. You looked at the time and noticed it was late, and Lena didn't reply to your texts or your calls. You thought for a moment before calling Alex. "Hey Alex," you said when she answered the phone,
"Hey Y/n, it's late. Aren't you supposed to sleep?" She worriedly asked.
You groan "You're such a mom." And she laughed "do you know where is Lena? I tried to call her, but she didn't reply, and she didn't reply to my texts. I'm starting to worry." You admitted and you heard her sighed
"Y/N, we have a problem," she said, and you started to worry about your wife "We think she has been trapped and kidnapped by Mike's mom. But don't worry, Kara is on it."
"Where are you?" A wave of rage begins to wash over you.Alex told you where she was, you called Jessy, and she took Lilly with her for the night before you almost flew to where your friends was. When you reached the older Danvers, she was in front of a portal. She told you Kara was on the other side, and you didn't hesitate to run after her.
On the ship, you found Kara, Mike, Rhea, and an angry Superman. "What the hell?" you yelled, and every gaze was on you. "why Clark look like he's in front of a bad guy?" you asked, and the black-haired Kryptonian walked to you before he was stopped by Kara. You looked at Rhea and said, "You. Where is my wife?" You asked
"What Lena is your wife?" Mon-el said, and you focused on him.
"I saw you somewhere," you said, and some flashes from your childhood started to run in your mind. "Mon-el?" you asked, and you tilted your head. "But how? You were supposed to be dead when Krypton fell on Daxam." You were more than confused. He was about to reply when Rhea attacked you with a dagger made of lead. Thanks to your training with Clark, you successfully dodged it and attacked her back.
"Who are you?" the man  asked you.
"I'm Y/n, princess of Daxam," you said, and the room froze at your confession.
"Wait, Y/n like--" your brother wanted to say something, but Rhea cut him off,
"It's impossible," she said."My daughter died, Krypton took me my daughter," she explained, and now everything makes sense—the familiar look, the fact that Lena and Lilly always say you look like both of them.
"Mother?" you asked, and you didn't trust what you said. All this time, you thought you were the only one who survived. "But how should you be dead, both of you?" you asked, as tears streamed down your cheeks. "Wait, if you're both alive, that's mean father and Abbie too." At your sentence, Rhea was hit by a wave of guilt. Mon-El looked at her and didn't say anything.
She shook her head, and you cried harder. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "I'm really sorry." She kept repeating it as if it would make you stop, but it didn't. And honestly, neither of them could make you feel better. You wanted to yell at them because they didn't protect Abbie, but an alarm stopped you.
"What is this?" you asked, and a guard ran to where you were before stopping and panting,
"My queen, the humans... They sent lead into the atmosphere." he announced, and the three of you widen your eyes
"What?" You said, but you didn't wait for any response before leaving the ship—thankfully, it was on top of the building. When your feet were definitely on the ground, you started to run. You had to find Lilly; she can't be exposed to the lead. Even if she was half human, she would be affected by the lead.
[North Pole, Fortress of Solitude, a few minutes earlier]
After Lena crossed the portal, Luke closed it. "What are you doing?" the young Luthor asked, but her mom didn't look at her.
"We needed to get away, and we did. Now what happens to them? That's not our problem." Lillian said nonchalantly, "But we have another problem." She said, and her daughter tilted her head with confusion, "ThisRhea sent all her army to conquer us, but we can stop her." Her voice was cold and calm, but she was a little worried, even if she didn't let it show. She is attached to Lilly, and she can't imagine what they could do to her.
"And what are your plan?"Lena asked coldly.
"We know they're weak against lead; it's their kryptonite." She took a little box "Lex had planned to use this to diffuse kryptonite in the atmosphere to kill Superman, but if you change it, it could diffuse lead." She informed her,
"And why would I do that?" The CEO scuffed,
"Because we both know you have a reason who is 4 years old and could be in danger if they found her." Lillian said,
"But my wife is a daxamite too." Lena reminded her,
"Yeah, I know, and I have something that could help her not be affected." She said casually, "So?"
Lena examined her mother and the cyborg beside her "deal."She said it quietly but enough to be heard by her mom, who now had a smile on her face.
Only a few minutes later, your genius wife finished the modification and activated the device.
[National City, present]
You knocked on the door of Jessy's apartment, she opened quickly and inspected you before leading you to her sofa. "What happened to you? Where is Lena?" she asked, afraid of your condition.
"Someone diffuses lead in the—" you coughed, "atmosphere," you finished, coughing.
"Wait who? And why?" Your sister asked,
"I don't know, but I need to contact Lena. Lilly will be affected by the lead, and she's the only one who could help us." You declared, Jess wanted to say something, but her phone rang; it was Lena.
"Lena, where are you?... what? Yeah, she's with me ... Right now? Okay, she's with me too, in my apartment... Yeah see you soon." she hangs on and turned to you "it was Lena she's in her way to come here. She'll be here soon. You should rest. I'll bring you water," she said as she walked to the kitchen.
You walked to Jessy's room and opened the door. You saw Lilly. She was sleeping, but suddenly she started to cough and was now awake. You took her in your arms and made your way back to the living room. Jessy came back and gave you both a glass of water. It's been more than twenty years now since you were on earth, so you knew you could stay a little longer, but you were worried for Lilly. Fortunately, Lena didn't make you wait too long.
You heard a knock on the door, and your big sis opened it. She smiled when she saw Lena, but her smile disappeared when she saw the woman behind her. "Oh Lillian, what a surprise." she said coldly, but let them step inside.
When you saw the familiar green eyes you were relieved and then you saw your mother-in-law, you suppressed a caught "Mother-in-law." you greeted her
"Daughter-in-law" She greeted you back, "You seemed more alive the last time I saw you," she joked, and you chuckled,
"Granny Lillian." Lilly greeted her, and the older Luthor's heart almost dropped when she heard the voice of her granddaughter.
"Hey princess, did you catch a cold?" Lena asked when she noticed her daughter's condition.
"No, someone diffused lead in the atmosphere," you replied, and the youngest Luthor coughed against your chest. "Hey, it's okay, Princess," you ran your hand through her hair. "Mommy is here; she'll find a way to help you." you whispered loudly against her temple.
Lena covered her mouth with her hands. It couldn't be real. Her baby girl shouldn't be affected by the lead, she's human too. Lillian noticed and decided to speak, "We have something that could help her." She informed you.
You didn't have to think too long about it, you understood they couldn't save both of you. "Hey princess, do you want to show the gift uncle Mike gave you to your granny?" You asked softly, and she nodded before getting up and walking to her bedroom. You started to walk to the kitchen and made eye contact with your wife. She got the hint and followed you.
"I'm sorry," she barely said between sobs.
"Hey, darling... *cough*... it's okay. You'll help Lilly, and I'm sure you'll find a solution for me after that." You kissed her forehead gently.
"I was not talking about this," she admitted. You didn't say anything; you just studied her eyes.
"It was you?" You asked her, and she nodded. She was crying harder, and you locked her between your arms. She could hear your heartbeats, but they were so ecstatic she couldn't feel safe, "I know why you did that." You whispered, and you ran a hand through her hair, "I'm not angry or anything, Lena. Just promise me you'll do anything to heal Lilly." She gently drew back and locked her gaze on yours.You only saw sadness and fear in her eyes, and it was killing you.
"I promise. But we have to do something for you." She replied, and you smiled softly.
"It's okay, my queen; I'm sure Superman and Supergirl won't mind if I stay in the fortress for a while." You tried to reassure her, or you. You didn't really know, but you can't let her feel bad for something she couldn't control. "I'm okay, Lena, I promise."
Jessy came in the kitchen, and you looked at her. "Lilly is feeling better now." She informed you, and Lena was relieved. You wanted to rush to your baby girl and take her in your arms, but you fell to the ground.
When you awoke, you were in the fortress. You could feel the lead in your lungs, but the pain slowly went away. You looked around and noticed a floating robot."Good morning, Mrs. Y/l/n-Luthor, I'm Kelex," he said.
"Oh, nice to meet you, Kelex." You looked around. "We are in the fortress, right?" you asked.
"That's right. Supergirl brought you here after you collapsed in your sister's apartment," he explained.
"Oh," was all you could say."Do you know where the others are?" you asked.
"They were back in National City. But you can't see them right now." he said, and you looked confused. "The atmosphere is not totally free of lead. You must stay here, safe," he explained.
"Do you know until when?" you asked, a little saddened by the revelation.
"We don't know, but don't worry, I'll let Mrs. Luthor and Kara know you're awake. They could come to see you during your time here." he said, and you nodded.
"Okay, it'll be fun. At least, I hope," you muttered.
Hello Angel! Can I pls request Kara danvers and fem!reader kissing her during an argument *dating*
I love Kara! Mostly with Lena but I wanna kiss her too.
Pairing: Kara Danvers x Fem!Reader
Tags: fluff, established relationship, kissing, arguments, making up, power use
A/N: This is just making me wanna write SuperCorp.
Tumblr media
It's hard to get into an argument with Kara because of the sheer amount of happy sunshine energy that she has
But when you do get into a fight it's hard to get a word in because she always has so much to say
Kara hates fighting with you, especially over things that she can't control, like her superhero work, but sometimes things come up between you two
Because it's hard to get a word in sometimes the best way to get your point in is by kissing her, stunning her
Only it's not as easy as you thought, you need to pull away, you can't, her lips are too soft
You can't hold back the long sigh when she lifts you up and floats you both above ground, slowly swaying your bodies
It's hard to keep your lips off hers but you're still in the middle of an arguments, kissing won't solve it, only postpone it
When you finally pull away you fell Kara's cold breath against your lips, she wants more, but if she wants more then she needs to let you talk to
For every issue that you manage to resolve you can kiss each other again
Until all you have left is kisses
Wow, I just finished reading your most recent piece with Kara and it was really well done. You mentioned the idea of immortality in that and wondered how that could be used in a different piece perhaps. Kara (Plus Alex and the others) possibly finding out that reader is immortal and has been for a long time. (As a sort of headconnon or what not. I’d presume reader would be running a personally owned company, as big if not bigger than L-Corp. What with having a long time to amass wealth)
Kara Danvers X Reader
Summary:
Reader reveals she’s immortal to the super friends. Kara comforts her.
Tumblr media
warnings:
Angst
Notes:
Thanks for the request! Sorry for taking so long. It being shorter is the sacrifice I’ve made to return to writing, but I hope you enjoy anyways!
——
It’s game night that the super friends find out about my immortality.
It comes out when Lena says she’s been looking into my company, wanting to buy it. She mentions curiously that it says I’m the founder, when it’s well known my company has been around for nearly a hundred years.
And, well…It comes out then, because you’ve stopped being secretive about it when it stopped being something you had to be secretive about…
They know now— of my immortality, and though I should feel relief at the being known, of the truth I’ve not done much to hide revealing itself, all I feel is discontent. Discontent and unsatisfied, unsatisfied because the agony and empathy in their eyes is lackluster. They know now, and even as they try to understand they’re incapable of it.
I am immortal, and yet I have lived a thousand lives in my one everlasting one. There’s so much devastation in every end when you’ve had countless of new beginnings. I do best in the in between where l don’t have to face either beginning or end. It’s in the start of something new that every fiber of my being screams for stop.
Getting used to something doesn’t mean it gets easier, in the same way grief often works. I am constantly grieving my lives, and it’s become a heavy burden they could never understand.
It hurts in a way I hadn’t accounted for. With the coming of Superman, the rise of aliens, the new acceptance of them—there’s a rise of difference, and in that alternative community. It makes you feel better, this new life. It’s given you more hope of being understood than ever before, but to be faced with your friend’s sympathetic eyes, it all feels lackluster.
Even more so when Winn makes a nerdy comment about wanting to know the truth about history. Everyone laughs, laughs and leaves me alone in the same instant.
I laugh along, searching for connection and finding none. Disappointment was the backside of the renewed hope this life has given me. I felt intensely that there was no point in explaining any of anything that had ever happened for me. To reject them that would allow me the dignity of being not understood on my own terms.
It is better to be alone by yourself, than to be alone surrounded by people after all.
Karas eyes meet mine. She’s sitting by Alex and Lena’s feet. Her and Lena the only ones not laughing, trying to lighten the mood. Lena gives me an apologetic smile, on behalf of the others. There’s connection there.
Kara…Kara just goes distant. Goes distant then, and then goes distant the rest of the game night. It’s when everyones leaving and she stops me, I understand, or accept really; it was because of me. What I said.
I’d been hoping I wouldn’t have to speak on it ever again, regret like acid still in my stomach.
“You…” Kara pauses, searches my eyes—for what, I don’t know. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
She must sense the way this kills me from the way I wince, because she pulls me into a hug. A hug full of emotion. It shatters me in a way, because it feels like permission. Permission to fall apart.
I can’t, I’ve learned. Know now that if I start, I’ll never stop. All I can do is use logic as avoidance from my heart, and move forward with something resembling acceptance.
I pull away.
“Superman, you, all the aliens, the Meta-Humans, all of you have stretched the definition of what we call ‘humanity’, what we call ‘heart’, and yet still I feel like it escapes me.” It aches as I admit it—feels like a terrible, stupid thing.
Stupid because I have lived so long and yet still, here I am, so agonizingly affected. There are things I know, things I’ve learned, and they all mean nothing.
Kara shakes her head, eyebrows furrowed. She rejects it all. “That very thing inside of that feels different, alone in your experience, that is the very thing that actually connects you to humanity,” Kara says, her eyes soft and understanding.
Understanding in this, in this that she can understand. My heart quickens, I watch Kara, think of hope. Think of her.
Kara who has lost her whole world, her whole culture, who has taken her past and her aloneness and had become a hero, instead of something much darker. “Is there anyone like you, Kara?” I ask. It’s perhaps the question that has tormented her, the way it torments me— “is there anyone like me?”— but I say it like a gift. With reverence.
She is different, inexplicably so. It’s the best thing about her. Kara smiles shyly, looks down, fixes her glasses. “There’s you,” she whispers, “with an aloneness not anyone in this world could understand.”
There’s something about her saying it as it is that settles something inside of you.
“To feel so alone, and have it be the very thing that connects me, and in actuality makes me not alone,” l muse, somehow impressed. There’s not a life that has taught me more than the one with Kara.
There’s a gratitude inside me larger than all the life I’ve lived.
Kara grins, she pulls me in again. Hugs me tight. “I’m sorry about Alex asking to recruit you,” she whispers after a while. I let her words be the thing that has me pulling away, despite Kara’s pout at it.
I smile hesitantly, waving away Kara’s apology. “When Superman showed up it had me thinking about it, but my immortality has been taken advantage of before, and not being able to die isn’t as strong of a power as you might think,” I admit, “I’m not as strong as you’d think.”
Kara gives me a disbelieving look. My defensiveness looks like guilt to her, I know. It is. It’s guilt and fear. I’d want nothing more than to make this forever mean something, but I’m plagued by all of its consequences.
She lets me get away with the things left unsaid, thankfully. In my gratefulness I decide not to ask about her own prolonged life, despite my ongoing curiosity.
I know it’s a sensitive topic. There’s almost all of me that hurts for her, and then there’s a small part of me that thinks; I can live with her longer.
Supergirl, Kara Danvers, Kara Zor-el; my love.
I cough, adjust my bag over my shoulder, and step away. I know I have to before I kiss her in the dim lighting of her apartment, in the body that gets the honor to live alongside her. “See you tomorrow, Supergirl?”
Kara nods, eyes dark. She bites her lip, looks away with a flush. “Yep. One hundred percent. Lunch, right? Right. Yeah. I’ll be there,” Kara confirms, turning an even darker red at my responding eyebrow raise.
“Yeah,” I say, amused. “I’ll be there too. Wouldn’t miss it for my life.”
Kara laughs. Fills your heart for lifetimes with it. You leave with the hope of tomorrow, and the sound of her laugh.
Guiding Stars - Kara Danvers x reader
Tumblr media
[summary: reader is in love with kara and confesses their feelings to her]
Masterlist
National City was a place of constant hustle and bustle, where the streets buzzed with energy and the skies were guarded by a vigilant protector—Supergirl. Amidst this city's chaos, fate guided you to a chance encounter with Kara Danvers, a woman with a heart as bright as the sun she concealed within her.
You were drawn to Kara's warmth and kindness from the moment you met her at CatCo. Her smile was like a beacon of light in a world that often seemed overshadowed by darkness. As you got to know her, you realized that her compassion was matched only by her determination to make the world a better place.
One evening, after a long day at CatCo, you found Kara sitting on the balcony of her apartment, gazing at the stars. The city lights twinkled below, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for your conversation.
"Kara," you began, "there's something about you, about the way you care for others, that's truly inspiring."
Kara turned to you, her blue eyes sparkling with curiosity. "I've always believed that we have a responsibility to use our gifts to help those in need."
As you continued to talk, you discovered a shared sense of purpose—a desire to make a difference, no matter how small. It was as if your paths had converged for a reason, aligning your lives in a way that felt destined.
As weeks turned into months, your connection with Kara deepened. You found yourself spending more time together, whether it was working on a story for CatCo or supporting her in her heroic endeavors as Supergirl. There was an unspoken understanding between you, a bond that grew stronger with each passing day.
One night, as you and Kara stood on a rooftop, gazing at the city's skyline, you couldn't hold back the feelings that had taken root within you. "Kara, there's something I've been wanting to tell you," you confessed, your heart racing.
Kara turned to you, her expression a mixture of curiosity and anticipation. "What is it?"
Taking a deep breath, you met her gaze. "Kara, you've become a guiding star in my life. Your compassion, your strength—it's all so incredible. And I... I've fallen for you."
Kara's eyes widened slightly, her lips parting in surprise. After a moment, a soft smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. "I never thought I'd hear those words from someone who knows both sides of me."
You stepped closer, your heart pounding. "Kara, I see you—the reporter, the hero, the person behind the mask. And I care for every part of you."
In that moment, beneath the starlit sky, Kara reached out and took your hand, her touch sending a shiver down your spine. "I care for you too," she admitted, her voice soft but resolute. "Being Supergirl often means putting others first, but with you, I want to explore a different side of life."
As the city's lights continued to shimmer below, you shared a kiss—a promise of the emotions that had grown between you, a promise of the adventures you would embark upon together.
In the days that followed, you navigated the challenges of life in National City side by side, leaning on each other's strengths and supporting each other through the trials that arose. Amidst the chaos of the world, you found solace and joy in each other's company, held together by a love that was as powerful as the sun that illuminated the sky.
Green and Red Masterlist
My Masterlist
INCOMPLETE
Story is no longer self-insert, go to the masterlist to read the new reworked story!
Genre: action, angst, fluff, comfort
Pairing: platonic!Jason Todd x reader, platonic!batfam x reader, secondary!Kara Danvers x reader
Warnings: offensive language, descriptions of violence, blood, dead bodies, and a panic attack
Description: Y/n Wayne, is dealing with her past and spending time with her girlfriend when she sees a mysterious figure that feels hauntingly familiar.
Y/n’s  Abilities: Trained in hand-to-hand combat and is trained to use most weapons.
Y/n’s pronouns: she/her
Word Count: 1642
It wasn’t like this was the first time that this had happened. Someone finds you on the bathroom floor gasping for air, wishing you were dead. You knew it wouldn’t be the last time either.
“Y/n, look at me.”
You only ever saw flashes when you were awake, the blood, the crowbar, the body. Sometimes it would just be the sound, of screaming. Almost always screaming. The type that makes you nauseous. Sometimes yours. Sometimes your fathers. And sometimes his. God your chest hurts, you try to breathe but you’re met with fire in your lungs.
“Sis, I need… focus…at me.”
You blink hard, trying to dig yourself out of the hole you were in, you see dark hair which doesn’t do much in helping figure out who this is. But you can’t breathe, this shouldn’t matter. It’s hard to grasp what’s real, the sound of metal hitting concrete or calming whispers. They’re both fuzzy and feel wrong, this shouldn’t be happening. A hand on your face, its thumb attempting to soothe you. Dick. Dad would be rubbing your back, if you allowed him to be near you. It’s not like you want to remember but sometimes you feel like you deserve it. You get what you earn, right? You’re the one that survived.
“Start noting things in the room, to ground you.” His voice is shaking a little but it’s soothing nonetheless.
You see his face, Jason’s face, so clearly for a second. It’s covered in blood and you can’t help but stare. His dead eyes stare back. A hand guides yours, drifting over what feels like smooth ice, tile. You’re not there, it’s not the concrete of the warehouse. You’re not looking at your dead best friend, it’s just Dick. You grab his hand that's on yours and count his fingers. He’s real and that all you need to know for now.
That’s when you shoved him away.
***
You are sitting in the study with your head bowed down as your father paces across the floor. He’s fidgeting with the sleeve of his jacket.
“We have to talk about this, it's been months.” You’ve only ever heard him this desperate once before. “At this point, you don't have to talk to me. Talk to Dick or Alfred, I can see if I can get into contact with your mom. I’ll get you a therapist or a priest, just tell someone. You’ve shut everyone out and you know that I’ve been here.  You know what I’ve lost and been through, you’re old enough to know and understand all of it now!”
You were on the verge of tears. You couldn’t look at him. His pain just increased yours. You wish you could just be done with this.
“Jesus, Y/n, let me help you,” he almost screamed. A sob escaped your throat. One that had been building up in your months-long silence. Bruce put his hand on your shoulder. “Please,” his voice broke and you wrapped your arms around his body.
***
“He needs this.” You looked down at a boy, four years younger than you. Who is currently studying a Batarang.
“I can’t. I can’t do this again.”
You turned to your father. “He’ll just go out on his own… He’ll die. You know it. Do you want that?”
“Will you be okay with this?” You could hear the sob bubbling in his throat. One that will never come out.
“Will you?” you breathe.
You both stood in silence. Afraid of what would come next.
“He would hate this.” You laughed. “He would think that we’re replacing him. But we both know we’ll never be able to do that.” You start to walk away as your father just stands there. You pause. “Do it,” you command and he starts to descend the staircase.
*****
“Babe, we’re gonna be late!” you yelled to your girlfriend in the apartment you shared.
“Ready!”
God, couldn’t you have super speed? “I hate when you do that.”
“I know.” she grinned, tucking back one of your loose hairs. “But you love me anyways.”
You gave her an unimpressed smile. “There may be another reason.” You lunged your body out to stare obviously at her ass.
“Oh stop that!” She slapped your arm. You loved when that happened. When she gets frustrated and her accent comes out. God, what you’d do to give her everything she deserves?
She doesn’t talk about it much, her home, Krypton. So you never ask, you know it’s painful. Or that it can be but the days she does talk about it, you allow yourself to continue the conversation but you never push. She’s told you stories about various gardens her parents would take her to, school, going to her parents' work, her friends, the birth of her baby cousin, and she’s shared some about the death of Krypton. She’s as healed as one could expect.
Some days she’s just angry, you’ve seen the footage of her. She feels alone she lost everyone she ever knew. But she finds hope in Clark, Connor, and Jon. Sometimes even Krypto. She finds hope in you and you see it in her too that maybe your days will shine brighter. She struggles but she’s strong in more ways than one.
You kiss her lovingly, grab your purse, and lead her out the door of your shared apartment.
***
Kara giggles when you arrive at the Daily Planet, taking your hand and you go into the building. She puts her hand on your back as the elevator doors open to the top floor. Clark makes eye contact with you and smiles. He makes his way over and gives you both a hug.
“Hiya, kid!” God, he’s so much but he doesn’t suck the life out of you at the very least. He invited you both because Kara wanted to see about talking to someone for an interview and you wanted to make a few deals with CEOs.
“How’s Jon?” she smiles.
His smile grows. Is he glowing? Is that one of his abilities? “He’s doing great, since he started middle school he’s really enjoyed anything art…”
You see Lois walking that way, thank god. Clark’s great but is too nice for your taste.
“…I’m really proud of him. He really seems to just want to help people.” Lois taps him on his shoulder. His face softens to something closer to admiration rather than pride. “Hi.” Her face reflects his, softening a little. You look at Kara and she looks at you. Her face is as soft as Clark’s and you know you are in bliss.
“So,” Lois starts, she grabs Kara’s arm, “I can start to introduce you to everyone.”
Lois leads Kara away and you turn to Clark. “Wanye Enterprises has a Banquet in two weeks. I would love to see both of you there. Either as friends or journalists, whichever you prefer.”
“I’m sure we could both find good stories to pursue there.” He pats the side of your arm, his face is showing pride again.
He did see you grow up, you were what? Two or three when Bruce decided he need some extra help with you and Dick. You of course don't remember meeting him so he’s just always been there, your  Uncle Clark. You were seven when you figured out he was Superman, you were the one that told Dick. You thought it was obvious and that he should’ve figured it out.
“Send us the details for it and we’ll be there.”
You excuse yourself and find a few CEOs to chat with, you tell them of the Banquet and how it will help both Gotham and Metropolis. You convince some to attend, some to donate, and some to reach out to Kara for an interview.
After the incident, you decided to take a break from being a superhero and you focused on your studies. You climbed the ladder at Wayne Enterprises faster than anyone could expect. People like to say it is because you’re Bruce’s daughter but you quickly prove to them that you are worthy of your position. It took a little while for people to even consider calling you charming but once they did it never stopped. When you stopped being angry all the time was when you perfected your skills and began to excel at manipulating million and billionaires.
At some point during the night, your hair started to stand on end. You weren’t sure what it was but you were going to trust your instincts, it had saved your life more times than you could count. You could feel it in your bones something was wrong.
People started to trickle out. By eleven everyone has left, it’s just four of you now.
You all start to clean up, most things go in the trash but anything salvageable you pack up to donate. Once everything is cleaned and put away, Lois and Clark grab their things from their offices as Kara takes you by your arm and walks you to the elevator. She presses the button causing it to light up. Something is wrong, you look around while you wait. Nothing is different, nothing looks off. You’ve been here a million times and nothing has changed. You would know. That’s when you look out the window.
A figure outside on a rooftop. Your pulse is racing and you feel your body start to shake. Something is familiar about it. You let go of Kara’s arm, walking closer to the window. Each step is slow like you’re trying not to scare it away. Your instincts kick in and you couch down a little.
“What’s wrong?” Kara’s voice is deeper than usual. Serious.
A figure stands on a rooftop, he’s staring at you. Most of his body is obscured by the darkness but you do see a red helmet. No. This is wrong, he shouldn’t be there. This isn’t right. You blink hard and in the next moment, he’s gone.
You remembered when it started. The long empty nights you waited up for them, the missed calls when they wouldn’t come home. They were few and far between, and yet, you kept on scrambling back to them.
It was a long-time coming and whilst your fifth-dimensional imp nature was trying to hide it from your fragile heart, the fog of humanity cleared one afternoon when the two of them had shown up at your bedroom door.
“We need to talk.”
Wanda’s words were the building block of the wall around your heart. Natasha helped her explain that they had fallen out of love with you, if it could even be called that - she even corrected herself in saying that they no longer felt the lust they had confused with love.
It’s ironic, isn’t it? A being of god-like powers from the Fifth Dimension couldn’t even keep two girlfriends.
But, you didn’t let it show. In fact, you used your mimicry to copy Natasha’s stoic expression, one that nobody could read, even the witch and the assassin themselves. Nobody knew how tall the walls around your heart had grown after a month, how they stretched far beyond your mental vision - to Wanda, they appeared like glass, but you wanted it to.
They don’t deserve to see your pain, especially not since they caused it.
“Fury, h-hi.” You stammered as you stood in your room, pacing nervously.
Now that you couldn’t hide.
“Yes, Agent Mxy?” He asked, confused to receive a call from you.
“I’d like to discuss something with you. In private and in person.”
“Of course. I’m free right now.”
You locked your bedroom door with a snap of your fingers, a blink of an eye turning your room into Fury’s office.
“Thought you’d be quicker.” He smirked.
“Didn’t want to cause a scare when Agent Mxy was last seen in her bedroom and couldn’t be found anywhere.” You smirked back, sitting down.
The two of you talked for a brief period of time, no more than ten minutes, before you teleported back to the compound and began silently transporting your belongings. Fury had shown you an average image of your room at your new home, the DEO, and your clairvoyance allowed you to see exactly which room he had picked out for you.
But a knock at your door, along with it opening whilst you teleported your drawer of pants away, was not what you expected.
“What are you doing?” Natasha asked warningly.
“Tidying.” You excused, your mimicry working like a charm as she couldn’t see or hear a lie.
“It’s your turn to make dinner tonight.”
You snapped your fingers and smiled softly as you heard a hearty cheer, no doubt in your mind that Thor was glad to have a feast appear in front of him.
“Y/N?”
You jumped at the close sound of her voice, not realising that she was standing right next to you.
“Are you okay?”
A thought influenced her to sit down on the end of your bed before you spoke. “I’m fine.”
“No you’re not.” She jabbed.
You took a deep breath whilst you finished with one drawer. “I am. I’m healthy, I’m getting better at hand-to-hand, and I’m happy. I fell away from you both and that’s okay. Stuff happens.”
Natasha looked at you carefully, but still couldn’t see through your mimicry - she didn’t even know it was something you could do.
“Shall we join Thor and the others for dinner?” You offered, stretching your hand to hers.
As she took it, you teleported the both of you downstairs into your designated seats, a laugh instantly ripping through the room as you saw Thor with stuffing all over his face. You cleaned it with a telekinetically-controlled napkin and he thanked you dearly for it, giving you a big bear hug that gave you a good back crack.
Dinner went smoothly, as did the setting up of the movie night. However, like always, the fight about what movie to watch took a while, and they settled for one of your favourites. You sat back with Yelena and Peter cuddled up against you, eventually falling asleep, and you didn’t have the heart to teleport them into their beds.
Natasha and Wanda watched you carefully as you kissed Yelena’s forehead and whispered goodnight whilst you adjusted Peter so he wouldn’t keep putting pressure on your shoulder.
*Tasha.* Wanda started their conversation in their heads.
*Yes?*
*Do you think something’s up with Y/N?*
*Mhmm. But I can’t figure out what. How’s your end looking?*
Wanda’s eyes glowed for a second, a second you noticed, and your walls seemed to climb an extra layer. The witch grumbled softly into Natasha’s arm, whilst the assassin ignored Clint’s stare and Tony’s movie remark.
*What do you see?* She asked.
*I can see her clear as day, but it feels… fuzzy. Like you know when you can see heat rising off of the ground? It’s like that, but it’s blurring my vision.*
Natasha stole another glance towards you and you ignored it, even if your magic tingled when she looked at you. You slowly closed your eyes and twenty minutes later, you cuddled into the warmth of the blanket.
*There.* Wanda’s voice echoed in your mind.
You didn’t react to it, but the pressure of her lips on your forehead was incredibly hard to not react to. Natasha’s came next with an added touch to the cheek, smoothing over the light spots on your skin.
“Still our strong girl.” She muttered to herself, retreating back to her shared room with Wanda.
When they woke up in the morning, the duo made their way downstairs with the expectation that you would be there too. Instead, the Avengers were seated at the meeting table, with Fury hovering at the head of it as a hologram.
“Nice to see you are both alive.” He quipped before gesturing for them to take a seat.
“Fury, what is this meeting about?” Natasha asked as she sat down, a tired Wanda falling gracefully into her lap.
“This is to inform you about two things: your next mission, which will take about a year with detailed planning, cooperation between organisations and cohesive training; and the fact that Agent Mxy, now known as Eminence, has been transferred to the DEO division with indefinite stay.”
Natasha and Wanda shot up from their chair second in argument, with Yelena, Peter and Kate (who had returned from a mission last night) already up in arms.
“Ahem.”
They all silenced.
“Why, Nick?” Natasha broke it.
“Eminence said that she felt her abilities were needed elsewhere. A fifth-dimensional sense, something that she could not explain to humans, but any imp would understand.”
She nodded slowly before sitting down, her mind elsewhere during the rest of the short meeting. Wanda stayed in her lap, still tired beyond the norms as her mind also weighed the heavy thoughts of you being gone.
She knew you weren’t gone gone, but you weren’t around. She couldn’t go to you and ask for you to taste her newest dish, even if you always said they tasted delicious. She couldn’t come to you when she had a nightmare whilst Natasha was on a mission, or when the Widow was in a similar state, unable to communicate.
You just… disappeared.
———————————————————————
You stood in the lobby of the DEO, waiting in line like everybody else before you walked up to the receptionist.
“Hi. I’m Y/N Mxy-”
Almost a millisecond after stating half of your name, your senses tingled and you shifted into a dark purple wisp - which was a good idea, since an alert Kryptonian would have tackled you to the ground.
“Wait wait wait!” You held your hands up as you shifted back, the other agents around you pulling out their guns.
You closed your eyes and kept your hands in the air. “I’m Y/N Mxyzptlk! I know my dad is an asshole, but I wouldn’t be able to get through the front door without an invitation from your superior! It’s an imp thing!”
“Stand down!”
Your eyes opened at the order of the director, a sigh of relief easing through your lungs. “Director Danvers.” You nodded formally to her.
“Hello, Y/N. Supergirl, this is Eminence. Your new teammate.” Alex smiled at you.
“Oh.” Kara looked at you and Alex ordered her agents to drop their weapons.
Alex took you into the elevator whilst Kara flew back up, to which you joined her a minute later. The round mission table was hardly crowded, with two of the smartest brains in the galaxy standing right in front of you.
“Hello, Miss Mxyzptlk.”
“Hi, Brainy.” You smiled at him and he shook your hand.
“How did you know his name?” Kara questioned, raising an eyebrow at you.
“Oh - sort of an imp thing. Clairvoyance and all.” You chuckled sheepishly.
“Clairvoyance, at its core, is the power to see into the future.” Brainy clarified for the other Superfriends.
“Well, would you like to train with us?” Kara offered.
You smirked with your nod. “I’m intrigued to learn how the mighty Kryptonian trains.”
She grinned right back at you. “Okay - meet me in Training Room 4E in five minutes.”
———————————————————————
——————-Major timeskip—————————
Wanda and Natasha sat in their shared room, completely drawing a blank. Piles and piles of papers were spread around them whilst their vision was slightly blurred from their computers.
“FRIDAY, how many combinations have we gone through?” Natasha asked, her body aching with exhaustion.
“Over the course of the year, the team has gone through a total of 16,856 combinations.”
“And how many have worked?”
“None, Ms Romanoff.”
Natasha fell back onto the bed and put her hands on her face, only now noticing the silence of which Wanda moved around in. She removed her hands to watch her girlfriend walk towards the cupboard, pulling out a blanket.
Your blanket - the one she had stolen a few nights before you left.
She wrapped it tight around her as she sat back down on the bed, with the Widow coming up to hold her from behind. “Malen’kiy… Honey, it’s okay.” She rubbed her forearm lovingly whilst tears formed in Wanda’s eyes.
“If she was here, she’d be able to fix it. I know she would.” The witch whispered, leaning back against Natasha.
“She has the power to bend the world to her will. Why can’t she fix this?”
“Love, you know her limits. No falling in love, no preventing people from killing themselves and no forcing them to drink apple juice.”
Wanda smiled against Natasha’s neck. “That’s how we knew we loved her.”
“Indeed.”
They both had the same question running through their head, but they were too afraid to say it, which meant their minds ran further down the rabbit hole. Were they wrong to let you go? To shove you out of their life so easily? Was it an excuse that they lusted for you, instead of showing vulnerability and telling you the truth?
For now, those questions couldn’t be answered. But their problem had a brighter path as a plan formed in Natasha’s head.
———————————————————————
After a year of being with the Superfriends gang, you had shown them your more playful side. The one that used your powers more frequently, that was naturally intelligent - even if they also got the bad sides; the insecurities were quite obvious sometimes, even if you tried to hide them.
But there were two people who could see right through you, both figuratively and literally - Kara and Lena.
Of course, you had met Kara on that fateful day she tried to tackle you to the ground. However, now she was tackling you to hear your howling laughter when she tickled you, or when you went on long missions and arrived late at night, to which she would hold you close and listen to your heartbeat.
When you met Lena, her inquiring expression was something you found yourself often admiring. The curve of her eyebrows, the purse of her lips, which were often stained shades of red with various lipsticks. Yet, they were just as beautiful in their nude hue, and they were especially plump to kiss.
Oh, did I forget to mention that? Yes, they are your four-month-fresh lovers.
Kara and Lena were waiting for you to come home to the apartment, of which they insisted you’d stay rather than a pocket in the Fifth Dimension, and it had become quite homey to you all. Lena’s corner of the apartment, with a laptop and a desk with few papers, was uniquely contrasting and complimenting of Kara’s bookshelf and comfy chair you had fallen asleep in too many times to count when they read to you.
“Kara, the potatoes are done!” Lena called from the bathroom when the timer went off, doing her hair up into a bun with her magic whilst Kara zipped into the kitchen.
She pulled the dish out with her bare hands and placed it alongside the feast, her stomach already grumbling until her phone dinged with a message from you.
“She’ll be here in five minutes!” Kara yelled out, only to be greeted by the appearance of her witch.
“How do I look?” She grinned, with Kara’s long-sleeve pyjamas that were too big on her.
Kara matched her grin and walked over to her, holding her by the waist as she placed a gentle kiss against her lips. As she pulled away, she saw your purple wisp travelling towards the glass, easily shifting through it to land on the comfy chair in the corner.
But you didn’t greet them, and that was their warning sign.
“Y/N/N? Honey, are you okay?” Kara asked as she sat on the arm of the chair, with Lena coming in front of you and holding you by the chin.
Her heart cracked at the sight of tears in your eyes. “Oh, Y/N… Tell me what the matter is, I can fix it.”
“My exes need my help to defeat an enemy.” You murmured.
Silence filled the room to the brim and you stood to leave, but Kara super-sped into you and held you close, combing her fingers through your hair gently. Soon enough, another layer of your walls crumbled in your mind and Lena found it much easier to read the fresh memory sealing in your mind.
“Y/N, please, we wouldn’t be asking if we could handle it.” Natasha spoke through the phone.
“What about your friends? They have some firepower that we could definitely utilise-”
“I’m not letting you put my girlfriends in danger.” You growled back.
“Your what?”
“Yeah, that’s right. I’ve moved on. You had your chance, the both of you did, and now I have two amazing girlfriends who care about me more than anything, even if I can overpower them very easily.”
You knew that you weren’t in a great frame of mind for that conversation, but blind anger often removed the veil of lies.
“Our little imp…” Lena cooed, holding you up whilst Kara speedily dished you up some dinner.
The Luthor pulled you over to the couch and tucked you into her lap, feeding you piece by piece of the delicious dinner whilst Kara rubbed your palms with her thumbs. Lena transferred the thoughts to Kara and the Kryptonian pulled out her phone.
“What are their numbers?” She asked you.
“Um…” You fumbled your phone out from your pocket and showed her their contacts, to which she immediately added.
But you weren’t expecting her to call Natasha.
“Hi, yes, is this Natasha Romanoff? This is Supergirl. According to Y/N, you want our help?”
You watched Kara’s eyebrows crinkle as Lena held you, trying to keep your sobs to a minimum as everything came rushing back. The late night talks, the graceful but brief touches around your hips and arms, the sweetest names in their respective languages; anything and everything, it all came back.
And it hurt.
“Look, we will help you on one condition.”
Kara’s words made your head pop up, attracting her attention. “It’s okay, sweet girl, I’ll be done in a minute. No need for such destructive tears on our Y/N.” She kissed the top of your head and walked away, your mind not even in focus to hear anything.
“Y/N? Y/N/N?” Lena tried, but when she saw your unfocused eyes, she simply held you tighter, your thoughts oozing out of your skull.
“Our beautiful girl. Don’t let those pesky dark thoughts weave through your mind. If they couldn’t see you for your heart and your mind, then they weren’t the ones for you. You’re our girlfriend, and we really really like you. Some would even say… love.” She grinned softly and your eyes focused, making it widen.
“There she is.” She placed a gentle kiss on your lips, stroking away the tear-soaked baby hairs which soothed you even more.
“Where did I go?” You looked down at your body before Kara’s finger under your chin tilted it back up.
“Nowhere, love. Your mind, however, may have gone for a walk down memory lane. But we’ll always be here, okay?”
You nodded and let out a deep sigh, making grabby arms to your Kryptonian which caused them both to chuckle. Kara picked you up easily, like you weighed no more than a feather, and laid you down on the huge bed. She crawled into the bed with Lena in tow and they wrapped you up in their arms, coddling you until you fell asleep.
“So, you wanna tell me your plan?” Lena asked quietly, keeping her ministration of running her fingers up and down your thigh.
“We’ll discuss it tomorrow at the DEO. We need all hands on deck for this one, according to Natasha.” Kara replied, having your back pressed against her warm front.
“I love you.” Lena kissed your forehead and then Kara’s lips.
“I love you too.” Kara pulled away to kiss the back of your head, the two of them following you into slumber.
Tumblr media
This is my new favorite gif of Kara
Not my gif*
All you remembered was seeing an unfamiliar planet, somewhere you didn't want to call home, ever.
Now somewhere in a grassy field, you sat unconscious, in the pod that saved you from death, while your home planet was destroyed a long time ago. You, while fleeing your home planet, followed another pod into the phantom zone, and stayed there long after it had gone. Left all alone, for so long, just like you had been before, left in the silence of space...
 ---
"Supergirl, we just need you to check it out." J'onn told Kara, as the Kryptonians sister, adding her opinion.
“We haven’t even classified it as a threat,” Alex said, warning her sister to not be aggressive, and Kara turned to leave but was stopped by J’onn.
“Oh, one more thing,” J’onn turned to address the Kryptonian. “We believe it to be Kryptonian.” The blonde froze for a moment and then turned towards the sky and flew away. Kara's mind was racing as her sister got on comms and gave her a location
“You be careful,” Alex said typing something into the computer and added in a whisper “-especially if they really are Kryptonian...”
---
You felt funny, a good funny, but it was- The feeling was so difficult to describe, almost like your whole body felt the happiness in your heart, but you weren’t particularly happy, your body was tingling in excitement though.
Feeling strong, feeling like you could do more than just sit around, you were getting used to the feeling of safety and strength rolling over you, when a shadow came out in front of your eye line and your eyelids peeled open, right as the top hatch of the pod, you were sitting in, came off and with it, a million different noises filled your head, making it feel like it was about to explode, as the feeling of safety went right out the pod. You screamed.
“I’m not here to harm you.” Said a strange voice in a familiar tongue. “Will you let me help you?” The same voice said again, it rang in your ears, and it fought very hard to stay at the forefront among all the strange, foreign noises trying to invade your thoughts. You looked up and saw a man with, jet black, almost dark blue hair, a red sheet swaying in the wind, attached at his shoulders, and a respected glyph laid upon his chest.
“Who are you?” You're not sure where you are or who is talking to you, the only thing that makes you feel a little bit better, is that he is speaking your language. “Where am I?” You asked the man in Kryptonese.
“You are on Earth.” He starts calmly, waiting a moment before proceeding, being careful to keep his distance. “What’s your name? I am Kal-el.” He smiles softly at you, speaking slowly.
“Earth…?” A weight fell in your heart, and a sudden sadness flowed through you, forgetting about the fear of your safety on this Planet. “Where is Krypton, Kal-el?” You asked, sadness in your voice without fully registering your thoughts.
Clark gulped, “I’m sorry, it’s all gone.” His words broke your already shattered heart, and for a moment all the thoughts and noise went away, silence was the only thing you could hear, before unconsciously speaking again.
“Where did it all go?” You asked the brave man, innocently. Kal-el couldn’t be the one to tell you, the pod crystal would explain it all to you in time.
“That is for you to figure out.” You nod your head at his words, there was somewhere in his voice that felt safe, felt trusting, it reminded you of home. You looked up and he held out his hand for you, pulling you out of the still smoking pod that carried you here, to Earth. The ground beneath you, felt so different under your shoes from how Krypton had, well from what you can remember of your former home.
“Clark?” Another voice said in the distance, not far from where you and Kal-el stood.
“It’s Kal-el here, Kara.” He held your hand lightly in the air.
“Ah,” Kara paused when she finally looked at you, knowing you couldn’t have been older than 15.“What’s your name..?” Kara asked you, resting her arms at either side of her suit.
The new girl had yellow hair, the same red sheet, and the same house glyph resting on the same blue as Kal-el, you now understood that she was trustworthy, if Kal-el knew her.
“My name is Y/n. Daughter of the House of Y/l/n.” You said, finally answering Kal-el’s long forgotten question.
”I am Kara, from the House of El, same as Kal-el, here.” She smiled tenderly at you.
“Brother and sister?” You asked, just as curious as you sounded, brow furrowed in confusion.
“Cousins!” Kal-el gives a laugh, as Kara walks closer to the both of you. Kara gives you another smile and turns to her cousin, speaking in a language you had forgotten was stored in your memory.
“Alex wants me to take her in, just to watch her for now. Make sure she’s safe.”
“Are you sure? The farm could always use another pair of hands.”
“Yeah,” Kara reassured him. “I don’t want something to happen, and I mean- I am stronger,” Kara smirks at her cousin in a serious moment.
“Yeah, yeah..” Clark shook his head in a playful annoyance. Kal-el turns back to you saying, “Y/n, you will go with Kara,” You take a step back, taking your hand away from Kal-el’s.
“We don’t want to hurt you, just to keep you safe.” Kara says quickly.
“This planet has people that can hurt you, but me and Kara are going to watch out for you.” Kal-el added to Kara’s statement.
“No harm will be done to you, Y/n. I promise, can you trust us?”
---
3 hours later
You sat on the ground, in a cell, with a tear-stained face, wishing Kal-el were here and that the horrible ringing in your ears from the silence would go away, with a sleeve of your Kryptonian clothes tasered off at a weird angle, letting your forearm show.
Kara was stressed out and you hadn't even been here for a day yet. Alex was dealing with the agents that had accidentally scared you. And you apologized in English over and over again, hoping that it would help.
Before J’onn or Alex even had a say, you were put in a cell by three other agents that were able to get you to calm down enough and left you all alone, freaking you out in doing so. When you heard the airlock seal and everything went silent, your head wasn’t so filled with noise anymore, but you felt as if your strength had been taken from you. The only thing you could hear was your breathing, before the bang of the door at the other side of the big room startled you, and just like that, you were all alone again. You didn’t even notice the green lights turn on until you couldn’t take the silence much longer.
Kara had been out for maybe an hour to go to CatCo and talk with a source about her current article, while you stayed at the DEO, in a cell, under green lights that made every part of your skin hurt, when Kara got a phone call and flew to the DEO with anger flowing through her veins.
“You put her in a cell?!” She shouted across the room. Startling most of the agents and making Winn wince in his seat.
“Supergirl, you need to know the whole story,” J’onn tried reasoning with The Girl of Steel.
“Don’t.” She cuts him off aggressively, walking up to main console area. “I told her she would be safe here. Not locked up for something she can’t control!” The Girl of Steel throws her arms in the air, out of anger.
“I’m not saying she should stay in the cell, but Kara,” Alex tried to reason with her sister. “she doesn’t have her powers under control at all.” Supergirl gives her sister an annoyed glance before saying anything.
“I wasn’t put in a cell when I got here, now was I?” She points the question to her superiors, who stay quiet.
“Where is she?” Alex takes a breath and leads Supergirl, silently, to your cell. Alex opened the door for her sister. Kara, being angry, and knowing what it was like to feel trapped, she couldn’t imagine what Y/n was feeling. She immediately opened your cell door.
“Y/n, come with me.” You shook your head at Kara’s words, trying to move away from the door, as you feel your strength start to creep back in.
“No. I hurt them. I don’t want to hurt the Humans.” You said trying to keep yourself from crying. Kara’s expression softened and walked towards you slowly.
“It wasn’t your-” Kara’s gaze shifted upwards, slightly feeling the posion from the green lights shining down on you. “Fault…” A new fueled rage filled with shock flowed through Kara. You didn’t notice Kara’s findings, but Alex did.
“Kara…” Alex put her hand over her mouth in horror, not aware of this till now. You weren’t listening to the agents, only could tell they were yelling at one another. All you knew was that of course you didn’t mean to but it was your fault.
“It wasn’t her fault!” Kara shouts at her sister, cutting the conversation to a close.
“Nothing seems to be my fault but look at what happened, before I got here everything was in perfect order.” You finally gave in to your tears and stuffed your face into your knees. Kara heard you, turning instantly, and took in the scene of you crying, underneath the kryptonite, pulled into a ball, she was almost brought to tears herself.
“Hey, Y/n, look at me..” Kara stepped forward, crouching down to be near you. “I promise you that things were never in perfect order since Kal-el and I got here a long time ago. Everything will be alright, just need some time to- Re-adjust, okay.” She smiles at you, as you lift your head slowly and nod, wiping your remaining tears away.
“Today I will teach you how to control your powers, but that also means being able to control your emotions too, think you can handle that?” You gave her a more confident nod. Supergirl walked out of the cell and you slowly followed, looking away from Alex, as you walked by, and out the door, following the red cape down the hall.
---
Two weeks later
“Y/n, Kara is going to be taking you with her today!” Alex said walking into the Med bay and over to the bed you sat upon.
“Where will we be going?” You sat on the bed uninjured in any way.
“You will have to ask her, I bet it’ll be a fun day!” You smiled slightly at the agent’s words.
“Will I get to see Earth, now?” Alex smiles, as she checks your last blood sample.
“Yes, and don’t worry you’ll get to see more and more with time.” You and Alex both, quickly, turn your heads toward the door; shouting coming from outside the room.
“You should understand that I am trying to keep my country safe, and without rules for the-” The door shut closed, as you and Alex both heard General Lane’s voice, booming from the level below both of you being cut off from the, now closed door.
You felt a ping of guilt flow through you, the General, that anger you heard from him was because of your presence, you knew it so.
“Kara, should be here soon.” Alex said, going back to her work, silently.
You had learned in the last two weeks that your being here had caused a lot more problems than anticipated, you had been told multiple times by Alex and Kara and some computer nerd, that you were not the problem, and that this was none of your fault. You were sure that it was your fault, but you wouldn’t let them know that. You knew they were trying to fix it.
Kara slipped in through the door letting a few booming words get past the doorway and closed it immediately.
“I’m here!” She smiled across the serious room.
While kara was all smiles, you could only think of how this was all your fault but you couldn’t do anything to fix it, you didn't have a clue where to start if you were to fix things.
“Are they still arguing…?” You asked, staring blankly at her. Kara nodded her head guiltily, and you rested your head in your hands, feeling defeated.
“Hey, let's get going, we're gonna have so much fun, today!” Kara put her hands on your forearms, and wiggled them gently, making you look up at her, while she tried to cheer you up.
---
The shirt felt weird, and the the sweater was going to make you suffocate. Anyways, you walked out to show Kara.
"Wow- Are you okay?" Kara asked when she noticed you're stressed face, and you shook your head.
"It's too tight." Kara rushed over and pulled the sweater off you, then giving you different clothes of hers to try on.
You weren’t sure how the other Kryptonian wore this every day, it felt like you would melt with, pants, a button-up shirt, and a sweater that made it feel like you had flown too close to the sun with Icarus.
“How- How do you wear this?” Kara chuckled at your question and walked over to you.
“If you're hot, you could try it without the sweater?” You nod in a hurry and she pulls it over your head, then putting it away as you speak.
“Do you have a breakfast?”
“Do I have a-” Kara started to repeat your question, before she realized what you were asking. “Yes, I do! Do you like pancakes?” Your face lit up with excitement, shouting,
“PANCAKES?!” Making Kara jump a little, but smile all in all at your excitement. “I love pancakes, so much” You sat down smiling, happily awaiting your pancakes.
-
“Okay, last thing is glasses.” Kara moved over to her bed, after cleaning up breakfast.
“Oh, that’s okay Kara, my eyesight is perfectly fine. I can even see through walls.” You took a bite of pancake.
“No, it’s not for your eyesight-”
“Are they spy glasses then?” You cut her off with your curiosity and a mouthful of pancakes.
“No, let me finish this time.” She gave you a strict look.
“Right, sorry.”
“Thank you. The glasses are for hiding your identity, so then if you ever want to be a superhero like me, no one will tell the difference between you and your superhero counterpart.” There was an awkward silence between the two of you for a moment.
“Can I talk now?” You asked innocently.
“Yes.” Kara breathed out, trying to hide her smile from how wholesome you were.
-
You touched down unsteadily on the concrete ground, wearing some of Kara’s clothes and a rain jacket, even when it was nowhere close to raining, with nice clear blue skies, but Kara wanted to make sure you wouldn't be cold. The dark color of your jacket was a large contrast from your lighter shirt and jeans, making you pop from the dimness of the backstreet you now stood in.
Your eyes scanned everything, the grove in the rocks, small piles of trash scattered around, a tattered, worn, pink couch that you knew wasn’t top of the line but was more comfortable than most, the steam coming from a mysterious place in the wall, the little pieces of grass swaying in the wind that blew by you invisibly and all the different textures of dirt, bricks and the fresh sounds that came with this brand new location on Earth.
“Come on, Y/n/n.” Kara gestured for you to follow her out towards the world, with tall buildings all around, the part of the world that was much more colorful, and warmer feeling, than this place, far from this place in between two large bricks..
To Kara this part of the world was always more chaotic, more noisy, more littered with people, more enemies around, and more threats. But to you, it was the best most exciting, most-
“What’s this?” Had been your question of the day, wanting to know the answer to all the different objects you had encountered, big or small, yearning to know what they were, why they looked like that, and how they worked. Even trying to go and touch a snake you found before being hissed at and scared out of your mind by its aggressiveness. All you wanted was to pet it.
“That’s a pen, Y/n.” Kara said, taking no more than 5 seconds, away from her coffee, to see what you were holding up and noticing the confusion plastered on your face.
“What is its function, though?” You examined the pen closely, not sure what it could be, while Kara moved all her things into one hand and looked over at you.
“It holds thoughts on paper.” She took it from your hands, and you almost grabbed it back, but waited, hoping she would read your mind. She uncapped the pen, writing out both your names on a paper she needed for work, while you stared in awe, but that was soon interrupted by a shout, as the elevator doors opened.
 "Keriaaa!" Cat yelled for what seemed like the millionth time, before walking out of her office, hands on her hip, as Kara ran in, with you behind her.
"Miss Grant! I am so sorry, It will nev-".
"Who," Kara was cut off by Cat "is that, keria?"
She looked at you, suspiciously with a pointed finger. Kara hadn't thought about having to explain to Miss Grant about your being here.
"Y/n? She- uh-" Kara couldn't think. You poked out from behind the older Kryptonian and greeted Miss Grant with a small smile and a wave.
"Hello!" You didn't know she was supposed to be intimidating or a big respected news lady, not that you knew what the news was, to you she was just another regular Kryptonian, but this Krypton didn't have flying cars or anyone speaking Kryptonese and the clothing choices were very different, and no else could fly around like you could, so it wasn't really Krypton, but you didn't know anything else. Not until the DEO had told you everything you knew so far about this planet, which wasn't very much.
"Cousin! She's my cousin. Y/n is. My Foster Mom's, sister's daughter." Your face scrunches in confusion.
"I'm actually-" Kara swung her arm over your shoulder, bring you into a side hug.
"Hanging with me for a little while, for a visit, we don't see each other much." Kara pauses for a moment, "and my-".
"Keria." Cat said curtly as she nursed her newest headache "All this nonsense is making my head hurt, and all without my coffee." Kara hands the coffee over awkwardly and pulls you out of the room.
"Have I been calling you the wrong name this whole time?" Kara looks over at you, exhausted.
"No, it's Kara."
You think about it for a moment. "Oh, well I don't think the lady in there knows that.”
"She does." Kara lets out a sigh, glancing over into her boss’ office, pulling a spinny chair over for you to sit in.
You sat down and discovered that the chair moves in circles, without moving across the room itself. It was one of the coolest things you had ever seen. You spun in the chair a few times before stopping abruptly.
The phone was ringing, but to you that was the sound of death.
“Kar- Kara! What is that alarm for??” Kara was quick to assure you it wasn’t an alarm, and you didn’t need to panic.
“It’s just the phone ringing, Y/n, don’t worry.” Kara picked up the call, and immediately started drawing on a paper, with her pen. Which you now knew the function of; to hold memories on a paper.
-
You tapped Kara on the shoulder for the millionth time, when she finally turned towards you, staring daggers. You instantaneously backed up and left her alone until the phone call had ended.
“Y/n,” She whisper yelled towards you, “that was an important call. I need you to-”
“Kara, I really have to go the bathroom.” You interrupted.
“What?”
“Where is the bathroom?” Kara now understanding, showed you to it, so you wouldn’t get lost.
---
“Hey Kara,” Jimmy Olsen walked towards the blonde.
“Hey!” She smiled at her friend, starting to worry as you had been gone for almost a half hour, in the bathroom.
“Winn, might have told me some interesting news...” Jimmy makes a questioning face at Kara, before they are interrupted by their boss, who had noticed Kara’s little cousin was gone.
“Keria! I need you make sure layout has the right colors I sent them!” Cat yelled from her office.
“I’ll be back," She started to walk away, saying to herself "She should be back soon,” Her voice turns into a whisper. “hopefully...” As Kara gets on the elevator headed straight for layout on the floor below.
-
“Hello…? Kara…?” You walked aimlessly back towards her desk, as Cat waved you inside her office.
“Keria is doing something for me. So. Your Keria’s little cousin?” She takes off her glasses and invites you to sit on the couch. You sit and nod.
“Yes, I am her- Cousin.” You struggled to get the words out, not remembering how to articulate the new word. The older woman hummed in response and sat across from you, crossing her legs, one over the other, staring you down.
“Keria doesn’t talk much about family.” She pondered in her seat.
“I live- Far away, so I do not visit very much.”
“Do you stay for long when you do visit?” She questioned you, and you froze having no idea what to say.
“Uh not very long, usually just- Days.”
“Days?”
“One days, usually.”
“Kara is quite a lot older than you it seems, what do you get up to when she is at work all day?”
“I work, also.” You outright lied.
“You do?” She asked questionably.
“Yes, I do… Oh, and I am 14.” You said proudly, if you didn't know anything in the world, you would always know how old you were. “Kara is much older than me, yes. We are cousins.” You smile at her trying not to seem weird.
“Y/n!” Kara practically shouts your name from the doorway, walking in to meet you. You stood at her arrival and smiled at Miss Grant as Kara took your arm and pulled you towards her desk.
“What was that? Did you tell her anything? What did she ask you?” Kara was mad and slightly worried her boss knew she had lied to her.
“I just told her I am 14, and we are cousins.” You starting to walk towards your chair but stopped in your tracks.
“Keria. Do you always interrupt people’s conversations like that? We were learning so much about each other.”
“I’m sorry Miss Grant, Y/n has,” Kara takes half a breath and continues. “School work she needs to be working on.” The Girl of Steel really got out of that just by the hem of her cape.
-
The constant sounds of the squeaky chair, spinning around and around, started to irritate the girl with super hearing.
The world started to spin faster and faster around, your vision blurring and then it stopped. All quite suddenly, almost throwing you out of the chair. Kara tightly held onto the chair, digging her fingers in it just enough to get a good grip and stop the irritating noise.
“Can you, please, stop.” She begged you. “Once I finish this article, we can go around the city, do you like ice cream?” You had no idea what an icecream was, but you wanted to have some and nodded in response, but groaned at the world still spinning a bit before your eyes, slowing down by the second.
“Thank you.”
---
You ran down the curb of the street, a smile on your face, as you secured you and Kara’s spot in line for ice cream. You curiously watched others walk away with happy faces, holding their ice cream from a triangle tube! You were excited to say the least.
Kara chuckled at you, “Excited?” she said walking up to you.
“More than! I’ve never ever had ice cream, even, in the history of all the worlds!” Kara couldn’t help but smile at your excitement for new things, knowing you would be learning about a lot of new things in the coming months, just as she once did.
“What?” You chuckled, noticing your new friend, observing you fondly.
“Nothing…” Kara said smiling, and continued to look you over, now understanding that you were going through what she did. The blonde made a vow to herself, in that moment, waiting for ice cream that she would always make sure you weren’t alone, like she had so often felt when she first got to Earth. Now she had a mission, someone to take under her wing and watch over. She never got that chance with her cousin.
You feel in love with ice cream, loving every part of it. Kara becoming your friend, along with Alex and the computer nerd, Winn, was one of best things ever! Everyday was fun, well the days without someone on the verge of death, were always a good time. Wether you were at the arcade with Alex, or at girls night with the scientist, named Lena, or just saving the day, when you were allowed to at least. And over time you were sure that one day you would call this place home, even if at first it wasn't so high on your priority list...
Agent Danvers - Chapter 6
Series Masterlist
Main Masterlist
I was going to post this tomorrow, but I decided just to post it today!
Enjoy what nonsense I put in here . . .
I love y’all!
Tumblr media
Kara kneels over a man’s body in her Supergirl suit.
“I called her, sir,” Alex tells Hank. “We hunt aliens. She is one. It’s a resource we didn’t have before.” Kara looks around, smiling slightly up at her sister.
“What can I do to help?” Kara rises to her feet.
“Don’t cause any oil spills,” Hank says.
Harsh, Kara thinks.
“Take a look around. Don’t touch anything,” Alex tells her younger sister.
“Alex,” Hank says and the two take a few steps away, “this whole facility specializes in chemical manufacturing. Sodium hypochlorite, ammonium nitrate.
“Ingredients for a chemical bomb?” Alex questions.
“Yeah,” Hank replies. “We need to find this alien, fast.”
. . .
There is a knock on (Y/n)’s front door from a pair of concerned sisters.
“You think she’s okay?” Kara asks, her eyes wide with worry. “She’s been mentioning for the last few days that she’s felt sick.”
“I hope she’s okay,” Alex replies. She, once again, sees the image of her baby sister crying over her redheaded girlfriend’s unconscious body and pain rips at Alex Danvers’s heart.
. . .
Loud knocking wakes (Y/n) from her place on the couch, still feeling nauseous. As (Y/n) stumbles sleepily to the door, Liho meows, looking annoyed - and sleepy.
(Y/n) opens her door, her gaze softening.
“Lena! Come in,” (Y/n) opens her door, letting Yelena Belova.
(Y/n) gives Yelena a hug, her eyes softening with a sisterly affection.
Liho toddles over on little legs, letting out a soft mew.
“Hi,” Yelena crouches down, petting the cat on the head.
(Y/n) sits back down on the couch, trying to quell her nausea.
Yelena studies (Y/n) for a moment, but then shrugs, sitting down.
. . .
(Y/n)’s leans back in her seat at her desk at CatCo, furrowing her eyebrows. The ache in her lower back had been frustrating her for the last hour and a half, yet she had no time to get up and try to relieve her pain.
The firewall she was trying to build had frustrated her even further.
Kara walks over to her sister’s desk, sitting down on the edge of the desk. “Are you okay?” Kara asks, her eyebrows furrowing with concern.
“My back is killing me,” (Y/n) grumbles, pressing her hand to the small of her back. “The firewall isn’t helping either.”
(Y/n)’s fellow IT walks over. Winn leans over (Y/n)’s shoulder, typing in a few commands.
“Thanks Winn,” (Y/n) smiles slightly, glad that her friend helped.
“Maybe you should go home,” Kara says, looking concerned.
“Maybe I will,” (Y/n) says, swallowing down her sudden surge of nausea.
Cat Grant walks out of her office, glancing between Kara and (Y/n). Her expression softens uncharacteristically. “Why don’t you both have the rest of the day off?”
Kara glances, her eyes widening slightly, up at her boss.
“Go on,” Cat says.
“Yes, Miss Grant,” both Danvers sisters say.
Kara helps (Y/n) pack up her laptop and all her other work equipment before heading back to her own apartment.
“I’ll go get Liho,” Kara says, knowing the kitten was the source of (Y/n)’s happiness.
(Y/n) grabs a blanket as Kara leaves the apartment from the window.
(Y/n) had fallen asleep by the time Kara had returned, and Kara grows more concerned.
Liho lets out a soft mew, kneading the couch before lying down. She sniffs at the fabric of the blanket that had bunched up around (Y/n)’s stomach, but seems content and Liho closes her eyes.
“I hope you feel better soon,” Kara murmurs, running her fingers through her sister’s hair.
. . .
Eight-and-a-half months later, (Y/n) finds herself on a bus with Jo’on and Alex.
“Remain seated,” a police woman steps onto the bus, and (Y/n) rests a hand on her stomach.
Jo’on had disguised himself as a little boy, and Alex had dawned a blonde wig.
(Y/n), who had just gone with Jo’on and Alex to go visit her mother, relaxes slightly in her seat.
“We’re on the lookout for a pair of fugitives,” the police woman says, “wanted in connection to some very serious crimes. They are considered to be extremely dangerous.”
Jo’on rests his little blonde head against Alex’s shoulder, wrapping his little arms around her waist.
Alex wraps an arm around Jo’on’s shoulders in a motherly fashion.
The police woman passes past the three before turning around and getting off the bus.
. . .
Night had fallen by the time (Y/n), Alex, and Jo’on arrive at their old house in Midvale.
“Hi,” Eliza Danvers wraps her youngest daughter in a hug, being careful of (Y/n)’s baby bump.
(Y/n)’s expression softens. “Hi, Mom. I brought a few friends,” (Y/n) continues.
Alex and Jo’on come into view, and Eliza hugs her eldest daughter tightly. “Are you alright?” Eliza asks, resting her hands on Alex’s forearms. “What is going on?”
“Well . . .” Alex pauses, trying to collect her thoughts.
“And who’s this?” Eliza goes on.
Jo’on shifts back into himself, and Eliza takes a step back. “What the hell?”
“No, no, no, Mom. It’s okay,” (Y/n) rests a gentle hand on her mother’s arm.
“No, whatever that is, that killed your father!” Eliza replies, meeting (Y/n)’s gaze with wild eyes.
“No,” (Y/n) shakes her head.
“The real Hank Henshaw blackmailed Dad into joining the DEO,” Alex says, throwing off her blonde wig.
“Jo’on tried to save Dad,” (Y/n) says, sitting down in the nearest armchair. “He’s a shape-shifter from Mars.”
“Is it true?” Eliza Danvers asks.
“What’s true is that your husband was one of the best people I’ve ever known,” Jo’on replies. “He saved my life.”
“And Jo’on has saved mine and Kara’s,” Alex adds. “You can trust him. Mom, we don’t have much time,” Alex goes on. “Jo’on and I are on the run. We just stopped by to supply up.”
(Y/n) furrows her brows, leaning back a little in the chair.
“Wait. ‘On the run?’” Eliza asks. “How did the three of you even get out of the city?”
“What?” (Y/n) asks, her head tilting slightly.
“You don’t know what’s happening in National City?” Eliza questions. The two Danvers sister shake their heads, frowning.
“Then their’s something you have to see,” Eliza replies, her expression grim.
. . .
Eliza finds Jo’on in the living room, looking down at a family photo - the three sister with Jeramiah and Eliza standing behind them.
“It’s a nice photograph,” Jo’on tells Eliza. “Beautiful family.” His gaze falls on a picture with (Y/n), possibly sixteen, with a redhead, who also looked about sixteen. He goes to ask about it, but Eliza interjects.
“We were,” Eliza says. “So Alex and (Y/n) say that Jeramiah saved your life. Were you with him?” she questions. “Were you with him at the end?”
“His only thoughts were for you and the girls,” Jo’on replies. “I made him a promise that I would look after all of you; I’ve been trying to keep that promise every day since.
Eliza nods her understanding. “Thank you. So Mars . . .” Eliza sits down on the automan. “I have to ask, underneath it all, are you a little green man?”
(Y/n) walks into the room, her eyes twinkling with mischief. She sits down beside her mother.
Kara Danvers/Supergirl x Female!Reader
Summary: you planned to spent a beatiful night with your girlfriend but when she came late because of her super stuff you met someone who seem important to her
Type: fluff
Warning: nothing
word count: 1505
day one | day two | day four | day five | day six | day seven
-----------
You were running late; you spent the last night watching movies with your girlfriend, Kara Danvers. Yeah, Supergirl. Usually she would wake you up before going to work, but she had an emergency, and she headed to Catco just after. You succeeded in coming on time, but that didn't really matter for your boss; you just came to your desk, and Cat Grant needed you to interview a witness to a robbery. You almost saw your girlfriend before you went out. The rest of the day was not better, but you knew you would have the whole week to complain. Tonight you had to prepare for Valentine's Day with the vigilante.
"Okay, Y/n, you have to do something for tonight; you can do that," you whispered to yourself. You opened the door of Kara's apartment; you've been dating for 2 years now, and 6 months ago, you decided it could be great to live together. You started to search for some ingredients, but there was nothing, so now you had to go to the grocery store.
After a half hour, you were back in the apartment. You started to cook when you heard someone lending at the window. "Hey, Kara, I hope you had a good day," you said without turning around, but when the person didn't respond, you started to worry and suddenly turned around to meet a woman with black hair and a single white lock. "Who are you?" You asked, and you grabbed a knife.
"I don't know for you, but I'm sure it will not hurt me," she said, pointing the knife.
"You didn't reply. Who are you?" You repeated, "I know Supergirl." You added it like a threat, and she chuckled.
"I hope you know her; I need to speak with her, and when I came, I found a stranger in her house," you gasped.
"I'm not a stranger; I'm her girlfriend. You, you're a stranger." She took a few steps toward you.
"I'm not a stranger; I'm her aunt." She imitated you.
"What?" You frowned, your eyebrows raised. "What do you mean by her aunt?"
"And what do you mean by her girlfriend?" she replied
"What do you mean by what I mean?" This conversation was one of the weirdest you've had with someone. "I'm her girlfriend, you know; I sleep with her; we cuddle; and we do some couples things in bed." You both started to blush at your last word.
"Okay, I was not expecting to hear about my niece's sex life when I came here," she said, and you both laughed; it was very strange. "And I'm her aunt, you know, I'm her mother's sister," she said.
"Can you stop imitating me, please? It's weird," you replied, and she smirked. You put the knife on the table and took a deep breath. "Okay, so you are her aunt, but Alex didn't tell me that Eliza has a sister."
"Who is Eliza?" The older woman asked, and you were more confused.
"What do you mean, who is Eliza?" You could tell by the look on her face that she was not lying. "Kara's mom. I mean, when she lent here," and the black-haired woman seemed to start to understand
"Oooh, I see now. But no, I'm not the sister of this Eliza," she replied, and it took you some seconds to understand what she said and what that meant.
"Wait, you are her Kryptonian mother's sister?" You asked, and she nodded. "Oh God, I'm so sorry." You reached out a hand. "I'm Y/n by the way."
She shook your hand. "Nice to meet you, Y/n by the way, I'm Astra." you laughed.
"No, my name is Y/N Y/L/N, not by the way," and she laughed with you.
"I'm sorry, I'm new here, and I don't know all of your customs." Your eyes were now wide open.
"Wait, you just came here and I treated you with a knife; I should be the one who apologizes." Your hands started to shake nervously. "I should have a talk with Kara after that; she didn't tell me you were going to come. I just came from the grocery store, and I didn't finish cooking."
"Oh no, don't worry, darling, it's alright; I wanted to make a surprise," she assured you, and you sat on the couch in the living room. You quickly opened the door, grabbed something to drink, and brought some snacks. You put them on the cafe table and sat next to her. "Thanks, sweetheart, but you don't have to."
"Oh, come on, I can't let the aunt of my girlfriend like that."
"But you were cooking something when I came; I don't want to bother you."
You looked at the oven and the timer you put on your phone. "Don't worry, we have some time. And I have some questions about Kara and her childhood."
You spent the next thirty minutes talking, and she helped you with the cooking, and she looked at the clock "I'm sorry, Y/N/N, but I think it's time for me to leave."
"Oh noo, you can't stay a little longer? Plus, Kara hasn't come yet; you can't leave without seeing her, right?" You started to like her; she was an amazing woman, she was so kind, and you loved to share some stories about your girlfriend.
"I'm sorry, but don't worry, I'll see her the next time." You nodded and hugged her.
"Be safe," you said.
"Thank you; you too," she replied, and she flew away. She just left, and the front door opened. You smiled when you saw Kara.
"Hey babe, I missed you." You ran to hug her, and she wrapped her arms around your waist and kissed you. "Why are you late?" You asked when you pulled away.
"Mrs. Grant needed me, and after that, there were some problems with aliens, but I brought you flowers." She handed you a bouquet.
"Oh, they're beautiful; thank you, Kara." You showered her face with a lot of kisses, and you mumbled, 'I love you' and 'you're the best'. You dragged her on the couch and started to purr wine in glasses. The Kryptonian looked at the table and found a glass and snacks.
"Did you have guests?" she asked, and you looked at her to find your girlfriend with a glass in her hand.
"Oh yeah, it was Astra, your aunt," you replied, focusing on the food. You missed the confusion in her face.
"What?" was all she could manage to say.
"Yeah, she left just before you came; she is very kind; I like her; we should invite her to have dinner the next time, no?"
"You were here alone with my aunt? And you didn't tell me?" You looked at her, and her anger almost scared you.
"Sorry, babe, she told me how much you love her, but I was sure you were busy with your super stuff. But don't worry, I'll call you the next time she comes, I promise."
Kara rushed to you and examined you. "Did she hurt you?" she asked, and you frowned your eyebrows.
"No! Why would she hurt me?" You caressed her cheek. "Kara, are you okay?" she hesistated
"Euh, yeah, don't worry," she smiled.
"Okay, because I start to think I did something wrong," you said shyly.
"No, of course not, honey; you never do something wrong It's just, I was... surprised; the last time I saw her, it was on Krypton, so." You nodded. "But don't worry, I'm sure I'll see her soon."
"Yeah, me too," you replied. "She seems busy, but she really wanted to see you."
"What did you talk about it with her?" she asked carefully.
"Oh, we talked about you, but not in bad terms; don't worry." A smile appeared on Kara's face. "She was so kind; she told me about your childhood. I told her about our first meeting, and she was like, 'oh I know you can't hurt physically, but if you broke her heart, I'll find you' She was scary, but it's normal for everybody to be overprotective for your little beautiful head." You kissed her forehead, and she felt butterflies in her stomach.
This night, the new National City's vigilante didn't know why she felt proud to know you talked with her aunt; maybe she was glad that she liked you, and she found out why her niece loved you too.
This night Kara didn't see her aunt, who was watching you across your window and smiled at the sight of her niece happy.
This night, even with her super hearing, your girlfriend didn't hear Astra say, "I'm happy for you, and I wish she could stay with you to maintain your smile," and this night the blond didn't sense her aunt fleeing away, wishing her happiness.
But this night, you became more close to Kara. This night you received another approval from her family; this night you were sure you wanted to spend the rest of your life with Kara (Danvers) Zor-El.
This might be more of an American thing but do you think that the DC heroes would leave a tie or a sock on the doorhandle? I'm sorry this is so silly but I wanted to hear your opinion.
Lol! I've never seen that actually so I don't know if it a thing or nor but this is so funny to me so I'll anwser.
Pairing: Jason Todd, Dick Grayson, Roy Harper, Hal Jordan, Bruce Wayne, Harley Quinn, Conner Kent, Clark Kent, Kara Danvers, Talia al Ghul, Oliver Queen x Fem!Reader
Tags: mostly fluff, suggestive, domestic fluff, cuddles, mention of being tied up, stripping down but nothing explicit
A/N: This was so cute man, if it were me I'd buy a tie just to hang it on the door and leave it there so people just leave me alone, I wouldn't even be doing anything lmao.
ROY, CONNER, KARA
They own one special tie that they hang on the door when they're with you. A lot of the time they will pause in the middle of taking your clothes off and go to put the tie on the door handle real quick just in case someone thinks about interrupting. They don't take it down afterwards, they leave it for cuddles too because they need some more time with you.
DICK, HAL, BRUCE
Yes, they always put the tie on the door because there's no way in hell that they'd risk getting interrupted when they're having sex with you. But just to be safe they also lock the door because they've had people come in before.
HARLEY, CLARK
They don't put a tie on the door, they usually just lock it and let that be that. They have other means of hearing when someone's approaching but there were times when people knocked on the door and when both of you were in the middle of finishing. They had to haphazardly put some clothes on to go and see what's up.
JASON, TALIA, OLIVER
If they have a tie then they sure as hell won't use it on a door handle. They'll use it on you, make you moan loud, that's what's gonna make people stay away. No need for any warning signs or anything like that and you bet they're not gonna stop if someone walks in either. No, they don't always lock the door either, they're too busy kissing you.
Love your work! Would you write Rebecca X Female!Reader , where she's working as an assistant coach or something clever but R is very shy and introverted ( Ted is like a father figure ). But when on the pitch next to Ted, R is a complete opposite . Rebecca is intrigued ? She's also protective of R, enjoys having her and Keeley in the office , maybe flirty . Reader is like Kara Danvers from Supergirl ☺️
Thank you SO much!!!💕💕
And I love this so much! Thank you for the request! I hope you like it!!💕
A/n: I don't know anything about Kara Danvers or Supergirl so I'm sorry if I don't hit the mark on that😅😂
When Rebecca first hired you as an assistant coach, she didn't think too much of you. Your references were good, you knew the game better than most people she's met, you were quiet, nice, very girl next door type. Even though she wasn't sure how well you'd fit in with the rest of the managers given they were all pretty outgoing men, she took a chance and it paid off.
Whenever there was a meeting Rebecca noticed that you only ever spoke when spoken to. You were quiet but thorough with your analyses, strategies and had great opinions.
For whatever reason, Keeley immediately took a liking to you and started dragging you into Rebecca's office for "girl talk." For the most part, you just listened, only giving your opinion on things when you were asked. Rebecca was curious how someone so quiet was such a great coach to a particularly rowdy team. But she admired your softness, she loved hearing you laugh and when you spoke, she hung onto every word you said. She's been pretty busy since you were hired and she wasn't able to watch you during trainings so she really had no idea how you operated on the pitch.
Finally, Rebecca found a free afternoon to finally observe training before the first match of the season. She quietly made her way out into the stands and took a seat, her eyes trained on you.
Before training that morning, Coach Lasso asked the group what you all thought the team should focus on today. Piping up, you suggested that the team should work on the finer details of their footwork. Of course it was important to learn new plays, perfect the ones they already knew, but you felt like the boys needed a refresher on the basics.
Coaches Lasso, Beard, Roy and your other assistant manager, Nate, all paused for a moment before agreeing. The boys' footwork had become a bit sloppy, messing up passes, missing goals, all because they weren't kicking the ball with the precision they should be.
Ted and the rest of the guys all agreed and even let you take the reigns for training for the day. It wasn't something you'd done before here at Richmond, but you were really excited to finally show everyone why you deserve to be here.
Rebecca watched as the boys ran a basic play, unsure why you all decided to run such a simple play, but she kept watching to see what happens.
Colin passes the ball over to Sam and even though it looked like a solid pass, Colin wasn't using the proper technique, something Rebecca wasn't paying attention to, but you definitely were.
As soon as Sam got the ball you blew your whistle and everyone stopped.
"COLIN!" You scream across the pitch. "DO I HAVE TO CALL ROY'S NIECE TO COME OVER HERE AND TEACH YOU HOW TO KICK THE BALL?"
The managers all held back a laugh, Roy and Beard smirking with approval, and the rest of the team busted out into laughter. Rebecca on the other hand, was in shock. The sweet, quiet girl she'd gotten to know was replaced by an assertive, confident coach, a side of you she didn't even know existed. She was even more enamored with you now than she ever was before.
"Oh come on coach! It was a fine pass!" He argued.
"'Fine' won't win the whole damn thing! If you want to be 'fine' then drop down to the lower levels of the league!"
The teams laughter fades and a few of the guys whistle and you hear a few mutter "oh shit".
"Run it again!" You say, blowing the whistle again.
"Fuckin' cunt." Colin murmurs under his breath.
The boys reset and start the play over, Colin gets the ball and passes it to Sam again with a perfect execution, giving Sam the opportunity to sink the ball right into the net.
"There we go! That's what I'm talking about!" You yell before blowing your whistle.
Walking out onto the pitch you walk up to Colin and pat him on the back.
"That was perfect! Did you feel how you had way more control when you connected with the ball this time?" You say as you imitate kicking a ball.
"Yes coach, I see what you mean."
"Good! Because when you hit it just right, you don't have to worry about trying to control where the ball is gonna go, you can focus on putting as much or as little power behind the kick to get it to your teammate. Just like you did with Sam, the ball got to him faster and he was able to sink that puppy straight into the net before the other team knew what hit 'em!"
Colin nods at you and you give him another pat on the shoulder before you turn away. Walking back over to the coaches, you see Rebecca sitting in the stands watching. A blush creeps across your cheeks as you give her a little wave and she waves back. You can't read her face, you're not sure if she's impressed, indifferent or unhappy with your coaching style. As training continues you try not to focus on Rebecca and direct your attention to the boys on the field.
Rebecca watches you as training continues. She sees Ted wrap his arm around your shoulder for a moment and says something to you. He spoke too quietly and she's sitting too far away to hear what he said, but she notices you relax a little before he pulls his arm away.
When training was finally over, you all head back inside, Rebecca had left at some point, although you're not sure when. In your office, you're going over a few new plays you've come up with, seeing which player would best fit each position.
"Well howdy there boss!" You hear Ted say as the sound of heels clicking across the floor enters the office. "What'd ya think of today's trainin'?"
"I must admit I was quite impressed." She says.
Looking over your shoulder, you see Rebecca lean up against the door connecting your and Ted's offices.
"Y/n, I almost couldn't believe that was you out there." She says playfully.
The blush creeps up again and you let out a nervous giggle.
"Oh, yeah, thank you."
Rebecca raises and eyebrow at you and flashes you a smile.
"Come up to my office after work, Keeley and I are going to be spending some time up there today."
"Oh? Yeah, of course. Thanks for the invite."
Rebecca smiles at you again and walks out through the locker room.
"Colin, coach l/n really ripped you a new one out there." Isaac says.
"She was such a bitch! I kicked the ball perfect the first time." Colin responds, visibly annoyed.
"I would show your coaches some more respect if I were you, Mr. Hughes." Rebecca says with daggers in her eyes.
"Oh, Ms. Welton, yes, of course, I'm so sorry." He says, obviously taken by surprise because he didn't see her there.
"Even I could tell that first kick was utter garbage." She says before walking away.
Could she really tell? No, absolutely not. But Rebecca knew what you were doing and trusted you. She also was not about to let the players trash talk their coach, especially the only female coach. That was not going to fly in her locker room.
After work you head up to Rebecca's office to find her sitting on the couch with Keeley.
"Y/n! I'm glad you came!" Rebecca says, her face lighting up a little when she sees you.
"Of course, thanks for the invite." You reply with a soft smile.
"Come in, come take a seat," Rebecca moves closer to Keeley, opening up a spot next to her. "would you like a glass of wine?"
"I would love one, thank you."
Rebecca hands you a glass after you sit down and you take a sip, your eyes flickering between the two women.
"I have to say, I'm still shocked that that was you out on the pitch this afternoon." Rebecca says as she takes a sip.
"What happened on the pitch?!" Keeley asks.
"Our sweet, quiet little y/n became this loud, assertive coach. Those boys listened to her as well as they listen to Roy."
"No shit! So you're like an entirely different person when you coach?"
"Um, I guess." You say, the blush returning once again.
"She absolutely does." Rebecca says. "I was impressed, really."
For some reason, that took you by surprise. You didn't think you could ever do anything to impress Rebecca.
"Really?"
"Absolutely, the way you commanded the team was incredible."
"Oh my god I bet it was so hot watching you get all assertive like that!" Keeley says, causing your blush to deepen.
"I don't know about that." You mumble.
Rebecca shrugs a little and smiles at you and you take another sip of wine.
As the night progresses, the three of you talk, laugh and genuinely enjoy each others company. The wine loosened you up a bit and you're talking a little more freely than you usually do. Something that both Rebecca and Keeley seem to be happy about.
"Oh! I wanted to ask you y/n, what did Ted say to you on the pitch this afternoon?" Rebecca asks.
"When?"
"After you yelled at Colin, he put his arm around you and said something to you."
"Oh," you say, blushing once again. "he just said that I was doing a really good job and that he was proud of me."
"Aw I love Ted!" Keeley says. "He's such a sweetheart."
"He's a really good guy, it's nice to have someone so supportive on the pitch."
"I can imagine! It must be tough being the only chick out there."
"It's not too bad, I mean sometimes the guys say shit but I don't let it get to me."
Rebecca stiffens when she hears you say that the team makes comments to her. She doesn't even realize it but her grip on her wine glass tightens.
"What do they say to you?" Rebecca asks.
"Honestly I don't really pay attention, sometimes they're just teasing me, sometimes they like, pretend hit on me, say stupid things. The usual things that immature athletes usually say."
"That is absolutely unacceptable." Rebecca says, her tone growing more serious.
"It's okay really-"
"No it's not, you're their manager, they should respect you just as much as they respect the other managers."
"I guess." You say, shrugging.
"No, no, they absolutely should. And if it continues there will be hell to pay."
"Rebecca, really-"
"No babes she's right," Keeley chimes in. "you absolutely deserve the same amount of respect that the other coaches get and it's some sexist bullshit that you're not getting it."
Coming to terms with the fact that this is absolutely a losing battle, you smile at the two women.
"Thanks guys, I really appreciate it."
Rebecca wraps her arm around your shoulders and pulls you into her. The moment her skin touches yours your heartbeat quickens. AS she pulls you closer you're engulfed in her perfume. It's a beautiful, no doubt expensive, scent. It automatically relaxes you even though your heart still feels like its beating out of your chest. You look up at Rebecca and she looks down at you and smiles. Immediately her gorgeous green eyes captivate you and you get lost in them for a moment. Opening your mouth to speak, you realize your throat has gone dry so you grab your wine glass and take a sip.
"We got your back babes!" Keeley says.
"We absolutely do." Rebecca says, smiling down at you.
Later that night you lay in bed unable to fall asleep. The moment Rebecca wrapped her arm around you replays over and over again on a loop. You've never felt like that before and you can't figure out why. Was it because she's your boss? Not really. How about because she saw you in your coach mode earlier? Nah. What the hell made you so nervous in such a pretty woman's arms!
Right after that thought passed through your mind it hit you. You liked Rebecca, a lot. Way more than you ever thought or would have admitted to yourself.
Shit. You had a crush on your boss.
The next morning Rebecca calls a meeting with all of the coaches and the team. Everyone gathers in the conference room and you sit in one of the chairs, fidgeting nervously because you think you know why you're all here.
"Good morning everyone, I'm sure you're all wondering why I called this meeting this morning."
"Colin I told ya, you gotta use soap when ya shower mate!" Jamie says, making the entire team laugh.
Rebecca glares at Jamie and he shrinks back in his seat.
"Sorry Ms. Welton." He mumbles.
"It was recently brought to my attention that one of the managers here has not been given the same amount of respect as the others. Something that I witnessed myself in the locker room yesterday." She says, staring daggers at Colin, who also shrinks into his seat. "Every manager on this team, assistant or otherwise, deserves your respect and I will not tolerate anyone on this team disrespecting them in any way. If I find out that any one of you are making fun of, ostracizing or disrespecting any of the coaches on this team you will be benched for the first five games." The team takes a collective breath in, they're all a little intimidated by Rebecca and they don't take her threats lightly. "Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes Ms. Welton." They say in unison.
"Wonderful, now unless anyone has any questions or concerns, you all are dismissed."
Ted turns to you and the other coaches, a confused look on his face.
"What the heck was all of that about?"
The coaches shrug their shoulders and you stay silent. The guys on the team have never said anything in front of the other coaches so you're not surprised that they didn't know they weren't treating you all that nicely.
Everyone leaves the conference room and you head to your office. The day goes by pretty quickly and the threats Rebecca made seem to have stuck because the boys are giving you less attitude than they normally do. When the day is finally over you make your way up to Rebecca's office to thank her for putting her foot down.
You knock on the door and hear her on the other side.
"Come in!" When she see's you after you open the door, her face lights up again. "Oh! Y/n! What a wonderful surprise." She says with a smile, closing her laptop. "Please, sit." She gestures to the chair in front of her desk.
You take a seat and drink her in for a quick moment. Her hair is pulled back elegantly so you can see every beautiful feature of her face. Her green button down shirt, that's showing off her perfect breasts just enough to tease you, makes her eyes pop. If you could, you would sit here all night and just look at her.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" She asks with a smile.
"I just wanted to thank you, for earlier today."
"Oh you don't have to thank me! It's absolutely unacceptable to disrespect the people that rank higher than you. I wish you had told me sooner, I'm so sorry you've been dealing with that for so long." Her green eyes look sad, not like the pitied you, but sad that you've been treated like shit from your players.
"Yeah, I just tend to take things as they are. I don't like making waves."
"Well if anything like this ever happens again, I hope you do."
"Thank you, I will."
"I was surprised that Ted and the other coaches didn't even know. They can usually pick up on those things quickly."
"Yeah, the guys were pretty discrete when it came to them insulting me or something."
"Did you tell anyone? Like a boyfriend or-"
"Oh no, I don't have a boyfriend."
"Oh?"
"I'm not really, into guys so much." You say as you feel your cheeks starting to get warm.
"Oh." Rebecca says, almost surprised.
"I'm guessing you weren't expecting that." You say with a laugh.
"Uh, no, honestly, I was not." She also says with a laugh.
"I mean, come on, I'm a football coach for a men's team, it's kinda obvious."
"Well when you put it like that!" The two of you laugh for a minute.
Her laugh is amazing, it fills your chest with so much joy. If you could have it played on repeat for hours, you would.
"Anyway, thank you again for doing that, it means a lot."
"Of course, I can't let my staff, no less my favorite employee, be harassed by the team."
"Aw, thanks." You say, smiling at her. "I'll let you go-"
"I was just about to leave, walk with me to the carpark?"
"Of course."
The two of you walk out of the building and into the carpark in a comfortable silence. The sky is dark and there's only a few cars left, including her driver and your car. Rebecca turns towards you and you mirror her action. She tucks a strand of hair behind your ear and gently cups your face. Without realizing it, you unconsciously lean into her hand, when you realize what you just did your eyes widen. Rebecca only smirks and her thumb caresses your cheek.
"If I wasn't your boss," She says softly, as if she's talking to herself while she's admiring you.
Her hand leaves your face and you grab hold of it with yours.
"Even if you are, I wouldn't mind." You say, just as softly, with a smile.
Rebecca looks at you with a bit of surprise in her eyes, she was never expecting you to say that. She's had the feeling that you had a crush on her for awhile now, long before you realized you did. And she's secretly been admiring you from afar.
The thought of dating an employee sounds so incredibly unprofessional to Rebecca. But at the same time, you're not just any employee.
"I must say, I'm torn on the matter." She says with a small smile.
"Well, give me a chance to ease your worries." You say with a confidence you haven't had in awhile.
Rebecca picks up on your sudden burst of confidence and a smile crosses her face.
"Alright then, Friday night, 7pm, I'll pick you up?"
"Perfect."
"It's a date."
{Part 1} {Part 2}
The DEO was a place of extraordinary individuals, each with their own unique abilities and contributions to the mission. Dr. (Y/n) (L/n) was the latest addition to the team, a brilliant physician with a heart as big as her drive to make the world a better place. With a warm smile and an enthusiastic spirit, she quickly found herself embracing the responsibilities of the medical bay.
On a particularly eventful day, Dr. (Y/n) was tending to Agent Alex Danvers, who had just returned from a tough mission. They had formed a bond over shared laughter and friendly conversations, but one topic never failed to come up—Supergirl. Dr. (Y/n) was a huge fan of the superhero, gushing about her heroic acts, her strength, and her unwavering dedication to the city.
"Come on, (Y/n)," Alex teased as Dr. (Y/n) chattered excitedly while treating her minor injuries. "You can't deny that you have a little crush on Supergirl."
Dr. (Y/n) blushed furiously, her cheeks turning a shade of pink that matched her doctor's coat. "N-No, Agent Danvers! I just… admire her. She's amazing."
Alex chuckled, clearly enjoying the reaction she was getting. "Sure, sure. Just remember, I've got my eye on you."
As days turned into weeks, Dr. (Y/n) continued her work at the DEO, always ready to patch up agents after intense missions. Her dedication and compassion didn't go unnoticed, and her interactions with Alex only grew stronger. Yet, despite her friendly demeanor, Dr. Y/n remained blissfully unaware of the deeper secrets that the DEO held.
One fateful day, a mission went awry, leaving Supergirl injured and exhausted. She had pushed herself beyond her limits, using up almost all of her solar energy in a daring rescue. The wounds were minor, but her energy was depleted, leaving her weakened and in need of medical attention.
As they returned to the DEO, Dr. (Y/n)'s eyes widened with a mix of excitement and concern when she saw Supergirl being brought in. Without hesitation, she took charge, guiding the hero to the med bay.
"Wow, I never thought I'd get to treat Supergirl," she muttered to herself as she worked, her hands deftly tending to the superhero's wounds.
Supergirl observed the doctor, her lips quirking into a small smile. She had seen Dr. (Y/n)'s interactions with Alex, how her eyes would light up whenever Supergirl's name was mentioned. It was endearing, and Supergirl couldn't help but find the doctor's enthusiasm contagious.
As Dr. (Y/n) worked, she felt a presence behind her. Turning, she found Supergirl watching her with a gentle smile.
"You're doing a great job, Doctor," Supergirl said softly, her voice warm and reassuring.
Dr. (Y/n)'s heart skipped a beat as she met those blue eyes, the realization hitting her that she was treating her idol—Supergirl herself.
"Th-thank you, Supergirl," she stammered, her cheeks flushing as she continued her work.
Supergirl's injuries were minor, but the energy depletion had taken a toll on her. As (Y/n) finished her treatment, Supergirl's hand brushed against hers, sending a jolt of electricity through her veins. Their eyes met, and (Y/n) saw a mixture of gratitude and something else—an unspoken connection.
In the days that followed, (Y/n) and Supergirl's paths continued to cross. Supergirl found herself hanging around the medical bay, keeping the doctor company and engaging in light-hearted conversations. (Y/n)'s excitement was infectious, and Supergirl found herself opening up more than she had with anyone else.
One evening, as the sun set and bathed the DEO in warm hues, Supergirl found herself alone with Dr. (Y/n) in the medical bay. The silence was comfortable, the air charged with unspoken emotions.
"(Y/n)," Supergirl began, her voice slightly nervous. "I have something to tell you."
(Y/n) looked up from her paperwork, curiosity evident in her eyes. "What is it, Supergirl?"
Supergirl took a deep breath, her heart racing. "I'm not just Supergirl. My name is Kara Danvers. I wanted you to know who I really am."
(Y/n) blinked in surprise, her mind racing to process the revelation. "You're Kara Danvers?"
Kara nodded, her gaze never leaving (Y/n)'s. "I trust you, (Y/n). And... I really enjoy spending time with you."
A blush painted (Y/n)'s cheeks as she met Kara's gaze, her heart fluttering with a mixture of shock and delight. "I can't believe this. And I... I enjoy spending time with you too."
Kara's smile was radiant, her eyes holding a depth of emotion that spoke volumes. "(Y/n), would you… um, like to go out with me? Maybe for coffee or something?"
(Y/n)'s lips curved into a grin as she observed Kara's shy demeanor. It was both endearing and amusing to see the confident Supergirl acting like this.
"I'd love to, Kara."
The relief that crossed Kara's face was palpable, and she chuckled softly. "You have no idea how nervous I was."
Can I request a Morpheus and reader where the reader is krypton like supergirl and he doesn’t know until I show him and we are dating and I risk my life to save him from people who wants to kill him
Thank you 😊
With Power Comes Misunderstandings
(Morpheus x Female Reader)
Synopsis: When Morpheus is late for your date, the only explanation is that someone's tried to harm him because of you—Supergirl's and Lena Luthor's daughter. After all, why else would they want your completely normal, powerless boyfriend?
Warnings: None
Word Count: 1623
A/N: Thanks you so much for sending this request in! And thank you for being so patient with me! This one kind of stumped me for a long time, but I think I figured out a way to write it that, hopefully, does your idea justice. It's slightly different, maybe a little lighter than the original idea, but I really played on the "doesn't know you have powers" bit. I hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He had your full attention, he always did.
For all the sounds you could hear and how far you could see, everything in you focused on Morpheus.
He had this calmness that soothed your soul. He held himself with such confidence and clarity, and you desperately needed that.
Your life was hectic to say the least.
Being the child of Kara Danvers and Lena Luthor was one thing. But having powers like both of your mothers was something else entirely. You were born with Supergirl’s speed and senses, and the Walsh affinity for magic.
However, they both wished for you to grow up as human-like as you could. You went to school, college, got a job, and when you were old enough, they started training you.
You were disappointed when you discovered heat vision and freeze breath weren’t in your arsenal of powers. But, it turned out, they translated into your magic.
Fire and water were at your disposal. Two sides of the same coin—the light and the dark. Much like your parents’ families.
They told you stories, you watched and read the news—you knew their history. But one of the things they always taught you was that your story was your own. They embodied it in everything they did. Even in their names: Kara Danvers-Walsh and Lena Walsh-Danvers.
It was why you never felt the need to keep secrets from them. You also never forgot that if anyone could sus them out, it was your mothers.
When you initially told them you were seeing someone, you asked them to respect your privacy and to not go digging. Though, you doubted that they would find anything. It’s not like Morpheus had an Instagram—any social media for that matter. You didn’t mind that, though. He wasn’t attached to this modern-day vanity. He didn’t live his life for an audience, he did it for himself.
Glancing at your watch, you wondered just where your other half was.
Today, you were finally going to introduce your parents to Morpheus. You could already hear Kara asking how you two met, itching to get confirmation of the meet-cute she had already imagined.
It was kind of cliché.
You were walking your dog, she caught a whiff of a hot dog cart and bolted, and Morpheus grabbed her leash just before she could snatch one from the cart owner’s fingers.
You had thanked him profusely, that twinge of irritation ringing because you couldn’t use your speed in public.
Morpheus was gorgeous. And you may or may not have given your pup extra treats for inadvertedly introducing you two.
Again, you checked your watch, tugging on the simple stud in your ear. Your magic thrummed within them, the spell to conceal said magic always on you. Your parents recommended the idea early on, a protective measure. It kept you hidden from anyone who could sense your power.
You sighed. It wasn’t like Morpheus to be late. If anything, he was always perfectly on time, appearing the second the clock turned.
Your stomach churned, and there was a prickling underneath your skin.
Something was wrong.
You clutched the necklace Morpheus had given you a few weeks ago. It had been a true surprise—not a birthday gift or a silly monthaversary token. He’d given it to you out of the blue, and said when he saw it, he thought of you.
A ruby, no bigger than your pinky fingernail, hung from a delicate gold chain. It was the most recent possession you had of his at the moment, but thankfully, it should hold enough meaning between the two of you to lead you to him.
You muttered a few words, imbuing it with your magic, and instantly, it cooled against your chest.
Too far.
The chain warmed along your left side, pulling you in that direction.
You ran when you could, slowing when too many people were around.
The necklace lost its warmth in front of a rundown barn five miles south of the city. Everything about it screamed “Do Not Enter.” Smashed-in windows, chipped paint, overgrown foliage—trees creating a shroud, its very own darkness.
You exhaled shakily. Morpheus was inside. And the only reason you could come up with was that someone found out about you. Someone needed to get you away from your family with enough leverage to make you come alone. And they chose Morpheus. The man your parents knew of, but not who he was. You weren’t sure if it was sheer luck or pure coincidence.
You kept him hidden too long, and now look what’s happened.
You should’ve been more careful. People were always trying to hurt your parents, hurt you, but you were all strong. Morpheus was innocent in all of this, and you were going to make sure whatever asshole took him would be sent straight to prison.
It was that thought that made you kick in the door, charging into something you never expected.
“Morpheus?”
He stood as he always did, calm and collected—unbothered even—with five men unconscious at his feet.
His head tilted almost imperceptively. “Darling?”
“What happened?” you asked, spotting the chalk-drawn runes.
Walking along the circle, you recognized most of them. Entrapment, weakening, barriers, and one that you’d never seen. You were so wrapped up in deciphering it that you hadn’t realized he never answered you.
“Morpheus?” You furrowed your brow, and he avoided your gaze.
“I must confess an error.” He spoke softly, almost...ashamed?
You slowly stepped closer. “What are you talking about? Are you alright?”
That seemed to make his shoulders drop more.
“I am unharmed, but I fear my misjudgement will...effect us.”
“You can tell me anything,” you urged, fingers brushing his forearm.
“I—” He stopped himself, eyes pleading with you. “I have not been truthful, and it has endangered you.” He glanced to the men. “They wanted to use you to manipulate me.”
Your features pinched. Why on Earth would they want to control Morpheus? And why did he think these people were after him and not you?
You shook your head. “This isn’t your fault. They wanted me.”
You moved to the runes again, missing the confusion passing over his face.
“These are symbols meant to draw in magic. They wanted to trap someone here.” You stopped at the one you couldn’t place. “I’m not sure what they were doing with this one, though.”
“They made a mistake. It means nothing.”
You scanned it.
He was right. It was almost like the men smashed two runes together. It was completely useless.
...But how did Morpheus know that?
The question was on the tip of your tongue when he interupted.
“I am Morpheus, Dream of the Endless.”
You blinked. “What?”
He stepped toward you, slowly, as if afraid you’d run from him.
“I am not human...am I to think the same for you?” His eyes lit trails over your body even in his investigation.
You nodded, everything piecing its way together.
“So, wait. You’re saying that you were the target, and that they wanted me as bait?” you asked. It wasn’t anything completely new. Your mothers had security all over you until you came into your power. “How did you get to them before they got to me?”
“Their dreams. One fell asleep here and showed me what they wished to do,” he said, head down.
His fingers slipped into your hand, a point of connection he seemed to need.
“My deepest apologies, dear one.”
Your brow furrowed. “Why are you apologizing?”
His thumb grazed over the back of your hand. “I was late for our meeting.”
Your smile started small, then grew until you were giggling. His eyebrows twitched, but the uptick of his lips was all you saw before you threw your arms around his neck and pulled him in for a kiss.
His hands settled at your waist as he returned it.
“That’s what you’re worried about,” you mumbled into his lips. “I think—” kiss “—I can—” kiss “—forgive you.”
He cupped your cheeks, gliding his nose against yours.
“How very generous.”
The last bit of your giggling escaped, gripping his coat.
“You have not told me who you are,” he said, eyes locked.
You hummed, then gave him one last kiss. “I think it’s best if you get everything all at once.”
Gripping his hand, you were about to walk out of the barn when his firm hold stopped you.
“I believe I have a faster way.”
---
“Wait. So, you thought he was the bait for you, and he thought you were the bait for him?” Aunt Alex asked, waving her fork between you and Morpheus.
You nodded. “I think he was more surprised than me.”
He gazed at you fondly. “I have never been more pleased to learn a secret that had been kept from me.”
“Oh?” Lena asked. “Why’s that?”
“She is protected even if I can not come to her aid.”
Kare “awwed” as she brought in two pans of food with Aunt Kelly carrying a large bowl.
You rolled your eyes, fighting a smile.
“Trust me,” Kelly started. “Even if she wasn’t powered, she has an entire legion behind her.”
Morpheus gripped your hand beneath the table. You glanced to him, then caught Kara’s eyes, a knowing look as she turned to your boyfriend. Your cheeks warmed when you realized she wasn’t wearing her glasses.
“We’ll have to introduce you to everyone one day,” Kara said. “Since we’ll be seeing more of you.”
Your jaw relaxed as you caught it just before it opened. She wasn’t wrong, but you didn’t think she’d be so bold.
Morpheus gave your hand a light squeeze. “It would be an honor.”
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
You sneezed for what was probably the 30th time since you’d gotten to work and groaned softly, wiping your nose on your sleeve as you cursed yourself for not having the foresight to bring tissues. You’d felt moderately fine when you left the house this morning, just a little sniffle but it had gotten so much worse in the few hours since you’d gotten to the DEO.
That stupid sniffle had turned into a constant runny but somehow stuffy nose and a steady cough that was getting impossible to silence when your lungs decided to rebel every few minutes. You were exhausted, a low-grade fever had started to boil under your skin about an hour ago and you were starting to believe that it wasn’t so low anymore.
 You rubbed your nose again and returned to typing on your computer, keeping track of the vitals of the agents currently in the field, helping Supergirl to take down half a dozen particularly strong Hellgrammites.
“Left flank of number two is open,” Vasquez said, not looking up from her control station. She was analyzing the aliens’ fight patterns and offering advice to Agent Danvers as well as Hartmann and Price, all shifting about the battlefield (empty intersection) to give Supergirl an edge in the fight.
Price had gotten stung and was on the ground, trying to keep himself conscious as the pain took over his body. Alex was shouting to Kara, who really didn’t need her to shout what with the super hearing, telling her the best way for her to take out the remaining three Hellgrammites. You probably should’ve been listening to your comms, but you had muted them, the voice in your ear adding to your headache.
You focused your hazy eyes back on the screen, your gaze drawn to Alex’s pulse blinking at the top of the list of agents. Even though you were supposed to be focusing on everyone equally, you tended to find yourself looking more intently on tracking your girlfriend. It wasn’t that you weren’t looking at the others, it was just that you selfishly cared a bit more about the brunette agent.
“Y/l/n, how’s Price holding up?” Vasquez asked, glancing over at you at the exact moment you decided to wipe your nose again. You froze, the fabric of your sleeve pressed against your face, eyes wide with a deer-in-headlights expression.
“H-he’s okay. Pulse is a little fast, but he’ll be fine.” You mumbled, voice weak and congested. At this point, all you really wanted to do was to go home and sleep, but that wasn’t something you could do with your girlfriend and Kara in the field. Plus, you had to disprove the looks that your coworkers were giving you. If they were here, then you were here. You did not take sick days.
“How about you? Checked your temperature in the last hour?” She was focused intently on her work, but taking the time to communicate with you. You hesitated, painting a confused look onto your face.
“What are you talking about? I’m fine. Plus, I feel like we have more important things to be worrying about right now.” You quipped, a note of sarcasm slipping into your tone. The sarcasm became an instant regret. You may have been dating one of the most senior agents, but the woman was still your boss and could still write you up for disciplinary reasons. Lucky for you Vasquez just found your contempt amusing.
“Whatever you say.” She smirked, a hint of concern in her voice. She would never admit it of course, but the dark-haired DEO agent cared for you. She knew how much Alex loved you and it wasn’t just her. You were well-liked by the entire department, even J’onn had come to care for you the Danvers sisters.
You went back to your screen, deciding that you didn’t need to pay all that much attention to it anymore. The Hellgrammites had been subdued (thanks to Kara for that quick finish) and everyone was fine. It was only a matter of time before they got back to the DEO and with the skirmish over you could probably sneak off to a conference room to take a nap.
You must’ve zoned out for longer than you meant to because the next thing you knew your name was being shouted by a certain angry, fresh-from-battle DEO agent.
You spun in your chair (a very bad idea) and groaned, clutching your head as dizziness and pain threatened to knock you to the floor. Your nose was running again, but you were too preoccupied with your aching skull and that strange tingly feeling in your body to deal with wiping it. All you could really deal with right now was not passing out.
A hand on your knee brought you back to the present world and you blinked up to meet Alex’s worried brown orbs. She pressed a hand to your forehead and said something that you couldn’t quite make out through the ringing in your ears. You shook your head slightly and whimpered, followed by a pathetic sniffle.
“Y/n? Hey, come on.” She ordered, slinging an arm around your waist. You dropped your head on her shoulder, and she helped you wobble forward, utterly unsure as to where the two of you were going. For a moment it seemed that she was leading you towards the exit but then you took an unexpected right turn.
“Where’re you taking me?” You mumbled, regretting that you didn’t just stay home. This had all happened so damn fast, from a sniffle to a full-blown case of the flu in a matter of hours.
“Medical.” She said curtly, her gentle touches not matching up with her tone of voice. She sounded angry but she was holding you so carefully, touching you as if you were made of fragile porcelain. You aimed an exhausted fit of coughing into your shoulder and attempted to pull away, very unhappy with the idea of a visit to Medical.
“Do not fight me on this, it is not up to you.”
“Just lemme go home, ‘lex. M’fine.” You slurred, sounding very much not fine. You of course weren’t fine, but she really didn’t need to know the extent of just how not fine you were. At least one of you had to be at work, it wasn’t like to agents could go home in the same day and you knew that if you went home Alex would follow.
“What part of ‘do not fight me’ isn’t understood?” Your girlfriend growled, her face tense as well as her body. She was pulling you along, practically dragging you as your legs were determined not to work. All you wanted to do was go home and lay on the cool tile of the kitchen floor. The kitchen had never betrayed you the way your body currently was.
Nevertheless, you found yourself sitting on a surprisingly comfortable bed in the Med-Bay, refusing to lay down despite Alex’s pleas with you to do as she asked. She sat on the bed beside you, allowing you to lean against her as the two of you waited for Hamilton who was currently sewing up Price’s wound.
“m’sorry.” You whispered, another round of rib-cracking coughs taking over your stupid useless body. It was being rather unhelpful at the moment; it wouldn’t even consider letting you pretend to be okay until it was time to go home.
“Don’t apologize Y/n/n,” The brunette sighed, shifting beside you so that you were more comfortably situated in her lap. You grabbed a handful of her shirt and whimpered softly, tears filling your eyes as she very gently carded her fingers through your hair.
“Oh, sweetheart.” She kissed your hairline, an air of worried sadness hanging around her. The agent held you close, silently wishing that Hamilton would hurry the fuck up. Price hadn’t been injured that badly and in her mind you were definitely more important than the man she didn’t exactly like.
Just as the good doctor finished putting his stitches in Kara raced into the room, her cape flying around her in a very superhero-esque manner. Her blonde hair was sort of messy and there was dirt on her cheek, but she didn’t seem to care as she hurried over to the two of you, immediately going to feel your forehead.
The Kryptonian didn’t really know what she was feeling for but she’d seen her sister do it before so she felt like it was an appropriate action.
“She’s hot, are humans supposed to be so hot?” Kara asked, looking to Alex and Dr. Hamilton for answers.
“I’m fine.” You replied, trying for a smile. Alex snorted and shook her head, rolling her eyes a little at your insistence that you were okay. She appreciated that you were trying to calm her sister down, but that really wasn’t your job.
“She’ll be okay Kar, go get yourself cleaned up.” The brunette reassured, giving the blonde a sad smile. The superhero gnawed on her lip for a moment, unsure how to take Alex’s reaction. This wasn’t a side of her adoptive sister that she saw very often, and she didn’t like it. It made her nervous.
“Okay. Text me and uh, feel better Y/n.” You hummed tiredly and opened your mouth for Hamilton who was holding a thermometer in front of your face. Kara skittered out of the Med-Bay, leaving the three of you alone, the Doctor muttering her disapproval as she flitted about you, taking your vitals.
“Okay Agent Y/l/n, you’ve got a temperature of 104.1 and a serious case of the flu. I’d like to give you an IV bag of cool saline to get that fever down and once that’s finished you can go home with Agent Danvers.” She decided, already grabbing the bag of fluids while you tensed against your girlfriend.
You didn’t like needles, you didn’t like the medical wing, you didn’t like any of this. Had you known you were actually this bad off you would’ve convinced Alex to take you home so that you didn’t have to be in this stupid room about to get an IV.
“Alex…” You whimpered, tears filling your eyes as you wiped frantically at your running nose. That just made you sneeze, which was both gross and didn’t help your wanting-to-go-home argument.
“It’ll only be a few hours sweetheart. Here, blow your nose.” She pressed a few tissues into your hand, prompting you to blow your nose. It didn’t do much, but it seemed to satisfy her because she took the used tissues from you and tossed them in a trash can, much to your disgust.
“Relax, I’m getting sick either way with the germs you’re spewing. Come here, lay down with me and we’ll get this over with, okay?” Alex smirked, her tone turning serious in the second half of her statement. You bit back tears as you laid beside her, pressing your head against your collarbone to hide from the needle.
 It wasn’t like you were scared of needles; no, you were a highly trained government agent. But you weren’t fond of them.
“All done,” You frowned and lifted your head, surprised that you hadn’t felt the typical pinch. Dr. Hamilton smiled pleasantly and readjusted the IV bag, slipping her stethoscope back into the pocket of her lab coat as she turned to leave.
“Get some rest agent. Feel better soon. And Alex, keep an eye on her.” Alex nodded her approval, relief filling her body as you cuddled up to her, still sniffling unhappily. She knew that she could take care of you on her own, but she was still glad she’d made you see Hamilton.
She had technically gone to medical school, well no, she had definitely gone to medical school, but she wasn’t a doctor—just a well-meaning girlfriend who would do anything to keep you safe.
“You mad?” You croaked, almost asleep as you finally let your body rest. You couldn’t exactly change where you were so you figured you might as well sleep.
“Never. Go to sleep, beautiful. We’ll go home as soon as the IV is done.” Alex promised, going back to pulling your fingers through your hair. Her nails dragged soothingly against your scalp, the motion continuing even after you’d fallen asleep. You loved this woman more than you could say and eventually, you’d get the guts to dig that stupid ring out of your sock drawer. For now, you’d settle for this. This was good.
