A Call For Rest
ăSummary: After an exhausting week Emily convinces you to go home and rest.ă
ăWord Count: 900ă
ăPairing: Emily x sick Ră
ăNotes: I'm so glad that reached you! And so so sorry about my accidental deletion, I truly don't know what happened there. I sincerely hope this makes up for it <3ă
âHey love,â Emily murmured, appearing in the doorway as if sheâd teleported there. You hadnât heard her walk up, though you couldn't hear much through your clogged ears. You set your pen down and wiped your nose on your sleeve, too tired to care about how gross it was. The world was sort of hazy, your mind cloudy.Â
Writing up case reports was probably not the best idea considering your current mental state but you remembered enough to feel confident that you could go over notes with JJ to get the full story.Â
The media liaison would likely be okay if you just dropped the papers on her desk, she had already checked in on you twice and tried to force you to take some medicine. When you refused sheâd settled for leaving a cup of tea on your desk. You drank a little bit but forgot and let it get cold, cold tea wasnât appetizing.Â
âHi Em.â You croaked, the words grating across your throat. Swallowing was already painful enough but talking seemed impossible. Emily walked into your office and leaned against the side of your desk, looking down at the papers that you were scribbling on. She frowned at the illegible writing, trying to make out even the simplest words. You typically had great penmanship, rivaling even Hotchâs, but this was bad.
âIs it safe to assume you arenât feeling very well?â She put a hand on your shoulder and squeezed gently, concerned that she could feel the heat through your shit. It was a light shirt, but still, she shouldnât be able to feel your fever through a layer of fabric.Â
âIâm fine, just tired. Long week.â You were trying to use as few words as possible while still speaking somewhat normally but with the way your voice sounded, it didnât matter. Nothing could save you from the reality that you werenât going to win this fight. The last thing you wanted to do was leave work unfinished to pile up, but Emily didn't look like she was letting you get away that easily.
âHmm, long weeks donât usually make me sound like I gargled knives for fun. And you feel pretty warm. And your nose is running.â If she kept listing off things you were doomed. You wiped your nose on your sleeve again and sniffled, not removing your eyes from the papers. It was getting harder and harder to focus, everything was so blurry, and your head felt so groggy.Â
âIâm not sick.â You protested, swiping a hand across your eyes in a useless attempt to clear your vision. You refused to accept that you were just lightheaded and no amount of blinking or rubbing your eyes could fix that. Emily sighed and laid her palm on your forehead, making a face at what she felt.Â
âI think your fever would beg to differ. You arenât getting much done here anyway. I canât read any of that.â She gestured to your sloppily written paperwork, not bothering to sugarcoat it. Sheâd had enough experience trying to reason with you that she knew you responded better to directness than to dancing around a subject.
You frowned down at your desk and coughed into your fist, your lungs protesting the extra effort they were being forced to use. Emily put a steadying hand on your back, providing support as you choked on whatever your body decided it needed to hack up.Â
When you were finally finished you looked up at her to find dark brown eyes staring back, filled with concern.Â
âPlease, you need to rest. Youâre so pale, you look like a ghost. I donât want you to pass out here.â She caressed your cheek, leaving her palm there as an extra show of her love for you. She wasnât always the best at offering comfort, she had trouble figuring out how to, but this she could handle. There was an easy fix to being sick and she was more than willing to take care of you through it.Â
 âWhat about-âÂ
âIâll take care of it. Let Emily take you home, Iâve seen corpses that look more alive than you.â JJâs voice startled you, making you jump a little in your seat. God everyone was just popping up out of nowhere, maybe you were worse off than you thought. Emily smiled at the media liaison and wrapped an arm around your shoulders in a loose hug.Â
âCome on love. Letâs go home. Iâll help you walk.âÂ
âI donât need help walking.â You protested as she lifted you from your chair, proving that you not only needed help walking but you couldn't stand on your own. After taking a few wobbly steps under the concerned gaze of JJ, Emily picked you up deciding that it would be the easiest way to get you to the car in a timely manner.Â
You whined but settled into her arms, relieved by the warmth of her touch. She was warm and soft and strong enough to carry you easily. You pressed your face into the crook of her neck and closed your eyes to protect against the harsh light of the bullpen.Â
âFeel better hun,â JJ said softly, squeezing your arm on your way out. You tried to nod but your head was too heavy. You were practically asleep by the time Emily reached the parking lot, but you didnât mind. Though you would never admit it you were eternally glad that Emily had shown up when she did, any longer and you were confident you wouldâve fallen asleep at your desk.Â

If your requests are open could you write a Station 19 based on the episode 7.02? Maya x Carina x Reader where reader is the nanny they have to quarantine?
Hi! So I did watch the episode, but considering all of the "stomach" symptoms I'm just not comfortable writing it.
My requests are however open and if you have something else just let me know! I do ask that anyone making a request check out my rules first :)

I just saw a comment under a post that said "for some us, it's really bad for our mental health" in regards to acknowledging a genocide. I'm the first to advocate for taking space, to tell people to protect their peace, to tell people that their mental health matters. Because it does. I've lived with chronic depression and anxiety for upwards of 7 years. It's hell. But people are being fucking carpet bombed. And starved. And shot. And watching their family members die. And being massacred while trying to get food. I cannot fucking take this. If you don't support Palestine, if you are "staying neutral" get the fuck off of my page.
Just because I feel that this may lead to some people getting mad and I don't want to need to do damage control later - I am in no way saying that your mental health isn't important, I understand needing to take a break from the horrors coming across our screens because if you don't you'll break down entirely, that does not give you the excuse to ignore a genocide.

Training Day
ăSummary: Alex takes care of Lena while Kara is away.ă
ăWord Count: 1kă
ăPairing: Alex x sick Lena (platonic)ă
ăNotes: Please forgive me for my very little knowledge of military training. I've been trying to write this for a very long time so I also apologize if it's a bit iffy in places but I do really hope you enjoy it. Also were not discussing the title, I don't have anything better in me today.ă
Lena huffed and crossed her arms, glaring down the short-haired DEO agent in front of her. She had been forced to wake up at the ungodly hour of five am to beat Alex in a fight. For some reason, the DEO decided that even a scientist would need to go through the same extensive training as the field agents.Â
It had started a few days ago and mirrored what she imagined Navy Seal training would be like plus a few extras directly on how to fight aliens. That included assembling special guns, a written test about which alien had which fighting styles as well as a basic course in how to treat different poisons the aliens might possess and which would kill you in an instant. These werenât the only things but they were the ones she cared enough to remember.
The thing that had really gotten Lena was the mile swim. In what world would she need to swim a mile she had no idea but apparently, it was a requirement. She wasnât a bad swimmer but she wasnât fantastic either. Sheâd managed to complete the mile swim in just under the allotted time. The salt in the icy ocean clung to her clothes and hair making the experience all that much worse.
That was thankfully the only test of the day but it left Lena freezing, unable to warm up no matter what she did. The cold also reminded her of the scratchy throat sheâd had for a few days and brought more attention to other symptoms that had remained milder. The barely sore throat quickly turned to something much more painful and it was like over the span of a few hours she had developed what she was sure would be an awful cold.Â
Her nose was running nonstop to the point where she had just decided to hold a tissue against it so that she didnât have to keep throwing them away. Her head throbbed with every beat of her heart and sheâd wrapped herself tightly in a soft blanket before falling asleep on the couch, her hair still wet.Â
None of that mattered. She couldnât let it matter, there was just no time for that. She wasnât sure when they would let her go through this training again. No matter how much she argued about her close combat skills she was still told that she needed to fight the second in command that of course being Alex.Â
It had been a long time since sheâd squared up against such a well-trained opponent and knew that in her current state, there was simply no way that sheâd win. Her goal was just to go for as long as she could before either her body gave out or Alex got bored. She was hoping for the latter which would save her some embarrassment.Â
So far that plan wasnât working. Alex had pinned her four times, the rounds lasting only a few minutes each. The longest sheâd managed to hold her own was five minutes and she knew that sheâd need to prove she could last longer if she ever wanted to be officially allowed in the field. The field being her lab in the DEO.
âCâmon Luthor, let's go. One more then we break.â Alex ordered, raising her fists. Lena did the same, assuming a fighting stance. The world was swimming around her, making it difficult to keep her eyes focused on the brunette in front of her. She was trying to track Alexâs movements but the woman kept doubling and shifting, her movements glitching in and out of Lenaâs view.Â
When the kick swept her legs she didnât put her arms out to stop herself much to Alexâs surprise. The young CEO began to fall, her eyes wide and bewildered. Alex reached out quickly and grabbed Lenaâs wrist, managing to catch the bit of skin that wasnât covered by her sleeve.Â
Just by touching her wrist, she could tell that the heat was more than a normal higher temperature caused by exercise. Lena's skin was clammy and slick with sweat. As Alex examined her closer she noticed the red nose and hair stuck to her forehead with more sweat. Her friend was shivering hard, curling in on herself.Â
âGeez, youâre burning up.â Alex moved the back of her hand from Lenaâs cheek and laid her palm against the shivering woman's forehead. The sleepy woman sniffled quietly and shrugged, not speaking. She was too tired to talk, there was just not enough energy in her body to pretend anymore.Â
âAlright. Iâm going to take you home, did you bring a change of clothes?â She asked, wrapping an arm around Lenaâs waist to take most of her weight. The younger Luthor sagged heavily against the agent, barely able to stand on trembling legs.Â
âNo,â Lena answered, offering no further explanation. Alex rolled her eyes, smiling fondly down at the woman she assumed would be her future sister-in-law. Sheâd seen the box in the drawer of Karaâs bedside table and her sister had sworn her to secrecy.Â
âOkay. Iâll get you home soon, you wonât have to be in these clothes for very long. And, youâre showering as soon as we get back. You smell.â She teased, getting a little whimper from the woman leaning against her. With another eye-roll, Alex scooped Lena up so that she was carrying her bridal style.Â
âWhy?â Her charge asked, not hesitating to rest her head on Alexâs shoulder. She was pretty sure that she had no other choice, her body was utterly devoid of strength.Â
âThis is just easier Little Luthor. As soon as we get you settled Iâm going to call Kara, alright?â Lena nodded, closing her eyes as she was carried out of the training room. Sheâd fought hard against this virus but for now, she was down for the count. At least she would have Alex there to look after her until the woman she loved got home.

February started with false hopes of a ceasefire.
It is now February 15 and the largest medical facility in South Gaza, which sheltered ~2,500 people and had been under siege for two weeks, has been attacked. It is now completely out of function.
We are 21 days away from marking 5 months of ongoing genocide.
Here are several posts with numerous donation links & other ways to help. Iâll also include the tag I use for those posts, where youâll find individual gofundmeâs listed as well. There is also Operation Olive Branch, which has an excel sheet of numerous families in Gaza & how to donate to them + how to contact them. If you can afford it, please consider donating and please, please remember to scroll down to donate to families at the bottom of the list. If you cannot give, please simply share as many resources as you find.

SPREADSHEET OF PALESTINIAN ESCAPE FUNDSâŒïžTIME SENSITIVE
Operation Olive Branch is a continuously updating spreadsheet of Palestinian escape funds where progress towards their goals is being tracked. As of right now, there are over 100 funds listed there.
Any amount of money can make a difference. With their recent decision to bomb Rafah, the only remaining âsafeâ territory in Gaza, Israel has forced Palestinians into a corner by giving them nowhere else to go. The international community has given Israel the ability to act with impunity - it is long past the point in time to rely on those in power to hold Israel to any standard of compassion.
Today, I want you to look at this document, choose a fund, contribute to it, and share it. The people in Rafah are living on borrowed time. Free Palestine.

Hate of all kind will be deleted, antisemitism and islamophobia are not tolerated here
Written on 2/14/24
I do not normally post "political" content. Political being in quotations because I do not consider this a political issue but the world does.
The genocide of the people in Gaza has been going on for 130 days (+75 years). It is estimated that 20,000+ Palestinian civilians have been killed with presumed thousands unaccounted for buried under the rubble.
This is collective punishment and it is a war crime. Collective punishment is a war crime.
I waited so long to speak on this here because I wasn't really sure how to. Before Oct 7th, had no clue of what was happening between Israel and Palestine through every fault of my own. I have been reposting from creators on other social media platforms but I was unsure how to do so here.
That being said, this is my most followed platform by hundreds of people. I will continue to post my usual content, but you will also more than likely be seeing more of this.

For boycotts:
BDS Movement Official Website
"BDS aims to end international support for Israeli violations of international law by forcing companies, institutions and governments to change their policies. As Israeli companies and institutions become isolated, Israel will find it more difficult to oppress Palestinians." - BDS website
Another company to boycott is Starbucks, they are not on the BDS list but a grassroots boycott has been started. This is because the company filed a lawsuit against a union of Starbucks workers who posted pro-Palestinian content. They are also very well known for mistreating their employees so it's really worth not going for multiple reasons. Support local coffee shops, they taste better and cost less money :)
I would like to finish this off by saying again that hate of any kind is not tolerated on my platform, it will be deleted and you will be blocked.Â
Operation Olive Branch
They are an account on TikTok who has created a spreadsheet with the GoFundMe's of Palestinian trying to leave Gaza. On the spreadsheet you can see how much progress the family has made with their fundraising, why they need help, and can allow you to connect with that family or their representative via their social media. You can find Operation Olive Branch on TikTok with the handle @ operationolivebranch or on IG with the same handle. (Forgive my poor explanation, there's a lot more too it that is better explained on their page.)

Hi I was wondering if you could do the sicktember 24. âDid you just sneeze?â - Yelena x Sick Reader.
Little Kitten
ăSummary: Yelena teases you for the way you sneeze.ă
ăWord Count: 550ă
ăPairing: Yelena x Sick Readeră
ăNotes: I would greatly appreciate if everyone is nice about this one, I will admit that Yelena is not my best character and I'm working to get better at her characterization.ă
ăTranslation: ĐșĐŸŃĐ”ĐœĐŸĐș = kitten (according to google translate; I don't speak Russian, I'm sorry if it's wrong)ă

âDid you justâŠsneeze?â Yelena asked, incredulous at the small kittenish sound you had just made. You pouted at her and grabbed a tissue that you used to paw at your nose. Her face split into a grin as she watched your movements, noting that even those were strangely catlike.Â
âLena,â You whined, sniffing in a rather pathetic way. âLeâme alone, I donâ feel good.â A permanent pout had settled on your lips since this mind-numbing cold had started and you felt rather pitiful.Â
To her credit, Yelena had been doing a surprisingly good job at taking care of you. She wouldnât win any awards for being the most nurturing person, but she made sure you ate, drank water, took your meds, and supplied you with more tissues than youâd ever need. She even cuddled with you when you asked, though the act was performed with a lot of grumbling about germs.Â
You didnât blame her, this was a monster of a cold that had you laid up in bed for three days already, days that felt like weeks. It had hit you hard and fast, one night you were fine and the next morning you were an absolute mess.Â
Your head ached. Every part of you ached, your nose was stuffy, and you had a low-grade fever that was just enough to make your bones hurt. Youâd developed a cough the day before that was clinging to your chest, making it feel heavy. Concerns of bronchitis had floated across your mind for a moment, but you didnât feel well enough to care.Â
If it was bronchitis Yelena was making sure you were doing what you needed to combat it and you were pretty sure she wouldnât let you die. Not like that anyway, that would be rude of her.Â
âFine, but that was cute. Do you need anything?â she asked, still chuckling. The little smile on her face would have been sweet if it hadnât come at your expense. You glared at her and crossed your arms over your chest, huffing your frustration. Not only were you plain old tired, but you were tired of being sick.Â
âNo.â You muttered, staring with dead eyes at the TV. You werenât sure what was playing but the bright light was annoying you. Everything was annoying you. You were mad about being sick, mad that TV was boring, mad that your nose was running, mad that your throat hurt. Mad mad mad.Â
âOkay grumpy, why don't you go sit on the couch and Iâll make you something to eat? Weâve got some great boxed mac and cheese.â she offered, trying to guess what you were thinking. She was right of course, the most frustrating thing about your current situation was that all you had eaten was soup. You were so done with soup.Â
âFine.â You took in a quick breath and sneezed again, making the same sound as earlier. Yelena laughed and leaned over to kiss your forehead, the bed shifting with her weight.Â
âRest ĐșĐŸŃĐ”ĐœĐŸĐș. Food will be ready when you are.â As she left you allowed yourself a small smile. You were touched by her warmth, something saved only for you. She had such a hard exterior, which made sense considering what she had been through, and her caring held a different level of meaning.Â
