ok so i just watched volume 2. gonna tell you guys my thoughts because WHAT THE FUCK.

⚠️STRANGER THINGS V2 SPOILERS!!!!!⚠️

seriously. what. the fuck. did i just watch.

i have so many thoughts about ep 8 and 9 so i’m gonna try and condense them into lil sections for y’all so. here goes.

•brenner’s death•

-we were supposed to find it…sad? the death of the man who kidnapped and abused children for his own gain? yeah, nice fucking try duffers, with the ‘sad emotional music’. honestly i’m glad the fucker’s dead. one of the only good things to come out of vol 2.

•will and mike•

-i now understand why the duffers waited until after pride month to release the new eps because wtf??? they’ve built it up that will’s in love with mike the whole season (the whole damn show) and then he just…doesn’t say anything? sure he had that monologue where we all know he was talking about himself and not el but. he didn’t even come out to mike? or anybody for that matter. sure, the scene with jonathan is undeniable that jonny boy knows and accepts him and it was a really sweet scene, but it felt like a cop out. will didn’t ever actually confirm anything. fucking bullshit. william byers get behind me, i’ll protect you from the duffers this time.

•stancy•

-fuck ME i hated this storyline. i fucking HATED it. i’ve already spoken on here about why steve and nancy should never be romantic again, and the fact that the duffers tried to push that arc was bad enough but. also. did you guys clock how ooc steve was because of it??? like, he just starts spouting shit about wanting six kids and a perfect life to nancy, who just NEARLY DIED, and then does it again in the woods when robin runs off alone—completely ignoring her well-being and safety in favour of trying it on with nancy again. that’s so not the steve we know. the steve we know and love would never let robin run off alone, and he certainly wouldn’t be basically ambushing a girl with his fucking life plans that make no fucking sense. and if that all wasn’t bad enough, THE WHOLE PLOTLINE WAS IRRELEVANT ANYWAY. they don’t get together because nancy’s still with jonathan and it never gets addressed again. fucking idiotic storyline.

•jancy•

-ok so can we all agree that this ship has run its course? like, don’t get me wrong, they’ve been cute the past few seasons, and i wouldn’t hate it if they were endgame, but. come on. jonathan is STILL LYING TO HER about college, their plans clearly don’t align anymore and they just want different things in life. and i get it, it’s cute that the actors are dating in real life, but that shouldn’t be the only thing holding the ship together. i just think the duffers have made it clear throughout the season, then with that ending scene in vol 2 when jon and nancy are repairing hop’s cabin, that these two are going to inevitably part ways.

•jopper•

-one of the saving graces of these eps. they FINALLY kissed and it was sweet and cute and perfectly built up, in my opinion. joyce and hopper stay one of the best ships in the show.

•max•

-is she alive? is she dead? WHO KNOWS???!!? honestly the HORROR the duffers have put me through with her this season. it was fucking brutal having to watch her bones snap like that. i was honestly shaking, like holy shit. and then she died, and then she didn’t? hmm? what did el do that saved her? what consequences will that have??? so many unanswered questions. but, i will say this: sadie sink deserves a fucking emmy.

•ronance/vickie x robin•

-i am so beyond pissed at the duffers brothers for the shit they pulled with robin in these 2 eps. like, vickie’s not in the season except for one two minute scene in ep 1 and then they bring her back for the last ep? and yeah, her and robin could be cute i guess, but it felt so shoehorned in. like they clearly just shoved that scene in at the last minute to fill a diversity quota and makes me fucking ANGRY. the opportunity was there for robin to have a fully fleshed-out, meaningful, poignant romance with nancy. they’ve been together all season, they’ve grown closer, understood each other, looked out for each other. hell, i even thought the duffers might go there with that scene where robin grabs nancy’s hand outside the creel house. but no. because why give us an actually good wlw relationship when you can shove it to the side and give us absolutely crumbs of representation? bullshit.

•eddie’s death•

-tbh i was expecting him to die, and so i wasn’t shocked but. it felt very anticlimactic. like, the whole focus was on him dying a hero—but then he didn’t technically save anyone? he just…died? for seemingly no reason? and yeah, dustin’s reaction BROKE me, but like then nobody else ever mentions it? not even steve, robin or nancy, who have been with him the whole season. it just all felt so rushed. joe quinn, you did a great job man, and you deserved better writing.

•elmax•

-is it just me or did every one of max and el’s scenes together feel very…romantic? like, yeah they’re best friends who haven’t seen each other in a while, but all of their interactions were framed and built up to seem almost like lover’s reuniting? like they’re touching each other’s faces constantly when they first see each other again, max is looking at el’s lips, max’s ‘death’ involved el crying over her just as much as lucas. and when el visited her in the hospital everyone like made way for her as if she’s the most important person to max. am i going crazy here??? someone tell me they get what i’m trying to say. anyway, another saving grace of the season, elmax remains superior.

•the ending•

-i actually think the ending was pretty cool. like it sets up a vastly different, darker and more epic final season. we actually saw the battle with the upside down and vecna having disastrous effects on hawkins. and i thought the return of the mind flayer actually was kinda cool, and the way everything was explained was pretty good. but, after these 2 eps, i’m not sure i trust the duffer brothers with another season. well. we’ll see what happens i guess.

overall, volume 2 was a let-down. ooc characters, messily wrapped up plot lines, shoved in, shitty representation. it all felt rushed and like the duffers kinda gave up halfway through. highlights of the eps include: the jopper kiss, elmax, robin grabbing nancy’s hand when she was scared, hopper beheading a demogorgan, eddie playing guitar, erica kicking that one guy in the balls and natalia dyer, noah schnapp, caleb mclaughlin, millie bobby brown and sadie sink’s acting.

No one asked but I'm bored so here are my ratings of popular Stranger Things ships! (kind of a long post).

Disclaimer: Ship who you wanna ship. This is just for fun :)

Byler: 100/10, I love my boys. No notes.

Lumax: Also a 100/10. They're just so!!!

Elmax: 9/10. I love them with my whole heart but I'm a Lumax shipper first and foremost.

Elumax: 100000/10. Literal perfection. Elmax AND Lumax (and Hopclair, depending on how you view the ship dynamic)? Literally what more could you want?

Duzie: 7/10. They're cute and I really like Suzie. I wish we could've seen more of them, maybe Suzie will come back with a bigger role next season.

Henderhop: 6/10. Typically I HC El as a lesbian but I actually like this pairing. Definitely not a ship I'd die on but I enjoy interacting with the fan content.

Henderclair: 6/10. Listen, I love their dynamic. If I didn't HC Dustin as the token straight, I'd probably rate them higher. Platonically? Literally everything to me. Romantically? I'm not opposed.

Byclair: 8/10. I also like them a lot but I'm a die-hard Byler shipper. I do enjoy interacting with the fan content though!

Wheelclair: 7/10. They're silly and I love them but this is a particular dynamic I prefer platonic. I do HC that Mike had a crush on Lucas when they were younger though.

Mileven: 1/10. I'm just not a fan. I'm giving them a one solely cuz I enjoyed them in season 1 when I first watched the show in middle school, but I'm definitely not a fan of this ship at all. Platonically though?? Amazing.

Jancy: 10/10. I love them. I'm praying every day that the Duffers didn't completely fuck them up and that they'll be endgame.

Ronance: 9/10. I like them, they're cute. I interact with a lot of their fan content. Let's go lesbians.

Rovickie/Rockie: 7/10. I just don't know enough about Vickie yet to know if them as endgame is what I'm rooting for, but from what we've seen they're cute.

Stonathan: 10/10. I love them and I'm so excited for their interactions in season 5! They're the enemies to lovers.

Jargyle: 9/10. Love me some stoner boyfriends. They've definitely kissed before at least once.

Stancy: -10000/10. BOOOOOOO 🍅🍅🍅. They are not right for each other. Steve deserves someone who loves him and Nancy deserves someone she loves.

Stoncy: 3/10. If it's in the way that Steve and Jonathan are dating and Jonathan and Nancy are dating with Nancy and Steve being platonic, then sure. But if it's all three dating, nah. Steve and Nancy just don't work imo.

Buckingham (Chrissy x Robin): 8/10. I think this is considered a rare pair but I think they're adorable and I love the fan content around them.

Hellcheer: 5/10. Not my favorite but I have no issues with this ship. I see the vision of them as best friends mainly.

Steddie: 5/10. They're not bad and I interact with some of their fan content (some of their tiktok edits go hard), but they're just kind of okay, you know?

Jopper: 10/10. I love them. Been a Jopper fan since day one. They're so endgame.

Based on an idea I had a couple of days ago ❤️🌸

Steve Harrington x Reader fic where he's married to Nancy but the fantasy he had in his head many years ago doesn't transpire and he's deeply unhappy as is she.

Both are too stubborn to admit anything is wrong. He's fine Dustin stop being a butthead okay?

Jonathan is around all the time and so are you... His next-door neighbour and his goddaughter's (Robin and Vickie's kid) preschool teacher who he can't stop running into, arguing with or thinking about.

Steve is 33, reader is in her 20's

It was quiet this morning, too quiet, Steve didn't like when it got too quiet because the thoughts he so easily pushed aside came rushing to the surface.

Thoughts about Nancy and their marriage and the hopeless sense of despair he had been feeling for months maybe even longer now.

After a few years away from Hawkins with Nancy becoming a well-known journalist and Steve staying in Hawkins with Robin to help rebuild the town after its destruction by Vecna and The Upside Down's defeat, he and Nancy met again and took a second chance at dating.

This time things worked out at least for the first few years. Nancy's ambition grew bigger and bigger while Steve did his best to support her even though his dreams of discussing starting a family were out on hold again.

He had that fantasy, the perfect fantasy of him and Nancy with six lil nuggets in the summertime, on a road trip in a Winnebago.

He told Nancy that years ago and he was still hopeful that could happen. He was thirty-three and they had time to do it.

Well, maybe not six lil nuggets but even a few would be nice because Steve had always envisioned a big family for himself.

It's just he wished Nancy took his dreams seriously such as he did for her.

He grew up as an only child with a mother and father who thought throwing money his way for several years constituted as them being attentive.

The truth was he spent more time with nanny's and his grandmother than his parents and he knew that when he had kids he wanted to make sure they knew how loved and treasured they were.

He never wanted them to feel lonely as he did, in truth the only decent thing his father did for him now was get him a great job in his company, flex hours, benefits, amazing pay.

When a child did finally come along then he would be able to stay at home as much as he possibly could.

The thoughts of how he was going to broach the subject again to Nancy was fully in his mind once more but the phone ringing caught his attention.

It was Robin "Hey dingus, can you pick up Anna for me? Have to take Vickie to an emergency dentist appointment and she's fteaking out incase we're late to pick Anna up"

This brightens his mood considerably, he adored his goddaughter.

"Yeah, sure Rob, I'll pick her up" Robin briefs a sigh of relief.

"Thanks, Steve, I owe you one" With a click she's gone and he heads to Hawkins Preschool to pick up Anna.

His good mood lasts until he sees you, Anna's teacher and his next-door neighbour who drove him crazy.

Anna adored you and called you Miss Smiley because you were always happy, smiling and saccharine sweet to everyone in Steve's opinion.

It irritated Steve to no end because you weren't sweet as pie to him, you called him out on his bullshit all the time, and he had never known anyone to get under his skin quite like you did.

He reaches the preschool with time to spare and finds you and Anna waiting outside, she's holding your hand and babbling excitedly to you, there's a big grin on your face as you listen to Anna indulgently.

"Good afternoon, Mr Harrington," you say sweetly and he scowls because being called Mr Harrington makes him feel like his dad or some shit.

"It's Steve" he reminds you for the umpteenth time and you look all innocent and sweet but he's sure you're doing it to annoy him.

"Uncle Steve" Anna beams giving him a toothy smile and hugging his legs, his heart melts and the ache for a child of his own grows even more.

"Hi, Anna Banana, how's my best girl?" she shows him the drawing he did. A picture of him, Robin and Robin.

"See Mama, mama, and you" She beams and he picks her up and hugs her close, all his stress melting away for a second due to the picture.

It's all squiggles mostly but there are two figures holding hands, Robin and Vickie and then there's Steve, he identifies himself through the vast amount of hair that Anna has drawn.

"I love it, sweetheart" he assures her and he catches your eye surprised to see you smiling at him, genuinely.

"She got a gold star today for that drawing, well all the kids did but Anna's was a personal favourite" he cocks his eyebrow curious.

"Oh yeah?" you nod and gesture to the picture.

"Captured your hair and pose perfectly" pose?

"Mama!" Anna squeals and he sees Robin coming out of her car. She beams at him gratefully and takes Anna from him.

"Vickie said to catch up with you and invite you to dinner tomorrow. It's pizza night" That goes down well with Anna who claps excitedly.

"Yay! Pizza" He nods confirming this with Robin then turns back to you annoyed.

"What pose? I don't pose" you chuckle and Robin watches the both of you amused as Vickie comes to get Anna to take her to the car.

"Oh you know it's kinda like a scolding dad, hands-on-hips, I'm so over this shit look" His eyes widen and he hears Robin stifle her laughter.

"I do not... He realises he's doing the very same pose she was talking about and rolls his eyes. Great.

Robin realising that the two of them could argue for hours wisely decides to head to the car and go home.

She will hear all about it from Steve later, she always does.

Can you believe that yn said this? She's such a brat? Do you all believe this Miss Smiley shit? I can't stand her.

Lather rinse repeat. Blah blah blah. For someone he couldn't stand, he talked about you enough.

It did take his mind off him and Nancy though and while Nancy was her friend Steve was her platonic soulmate and she knew that his and Nancy's marriage wasn't as perfect as they tried to portray.

There were too stubborn to admit any problems and it didn't help that Jonathan was back in Hawkins again.

Dustin had tried to get through to Steve as well but Steve would insist nothing was wrong.

"I'm fine Dustin don't be a butthead" is all he would say, she wishes she could help but until Steve admitted there was a problem what could she do?

"You need to relax a little you know Mr Harrington, stress isn't good for you, plus the kids pick up on it" you tell him.

He looks at you like you've grown two heads and counts to three to tame his irritation but it doesn't work.

"I am relaxed. It's you that drives me crazy, just cut the shithead antics yeah?" You're quiet and he turns away then you speak again.

"Yes, sir" It's a little taunt, teasing and he freezes at the sir. Freezes because the sir goes straight to his cock and he feels a wave of guilt wash over him.

What was this? You were irritating and nosey and he couldn't stand you and he had Nancy! He storms away from you and vows to stay far away from your annoying sweet smile.

Nancy is back once he gets in from work, also Jonathan Byers's car is parked in their driveway and he puts a smile on his face not wanting to fight.

Jonathan is showing Nancy some of his photos of his various trips around America, and the two of them are laughing and drinking wine.

Jonathan gets up and picks up his jacket giving him a small smile.

"I better go, I'll see you later" Nancy nods and see him out, when she comes back inside she gives him a quick kiss.

"I've got some papers to write. Do you want takeout for dinner?" he nods and pulls off his jacket.

"Just spent some time with Anna, she drew the cutest picture, Nance" Nancy smiles at this and he feels his heart thump nervously as he broaches the subject of kids.

It's been a long time since they talked about it.

"Hey, Nance? It would be nice if we could think about having a little nugget huh?" she sighs and runs her hand through her hair.

"Not now Steve, I'm getting really far with this new story and I don't have any time to take off for maternity or even think about the amount of childcare we would need to think of" his heart sinks because it's the same thing she said almost a year ago.

"Right okay" He nods and she rolls her eyes.

"Don't do that okay, don't make me feel bad about it okay? I don't need you pressuring me" he gapes.

"Pressure you? We talked about it last year Nance! I barely bring it up because you get like this. You know having kids is a big dream of mine, you've always known that.

"I support every dream of yours 110% but mine? You just dismiss them." she shakes her head.

"You know what? This is bullshit. You're bullshit and I don't have time for this" she picks up her jacket and storms out.

"Nance wait!" she's gone before he can apologise or say anything to stop her.

He heads into the garden just to take a minute, the argument with Nancy firmly in his mind.

The pain he's feeling is intense and he's so tired of the arguments, he massages his head feeling sick to his stomach.

"Are you okay?" he looks up and finds you standing near his fence. Your eyes are full of concern and he nods.

"I'm fine" He pinches the bridge of his nose to stop the tears from coming, a minute or so later he hears his gate open.

When he looks up you're beside him, and the alarm is written all over your face, you gently place an arm on his shoulder.

"Steve" your voice is kind and he's startled that you've called his name and not Mr Harrington.

"It's uh, just Nance and I have been arguing a lot, it's nothing" but that wasn't true when they were getting to the point that they argued frequently, that something was breaking between them.

"I'm sorry, really I am," you tell him sincerely and he is grateful. It's nice to have someone with him, it's nice not to feel this crushing heartache alone.

It feels like his whole life is falling apart and he doesn't know what to do. He would never ask Nancy to give up her dreams but would she want him to give up his?

Why couldn't they find some compromise?

"I want kids and Nancy is really focused on work which is amazing, I'm so proud of her it's just... She knows how I feel about having a family and yet when I bring it up she shuts down like there's no hope of a compromise or anything"

You don't say anything you just stay with him and after a minute or so passes you gently tug on his shirt.

"You look like you could use a hug and I've been known to give good ones" you suggest and Steve thinks that sounds pretty great, he could use a friend right now.

Your arms wrap around him and he finds comfort in your embrace for a moment, there's a weird tension in the air though and it makes him nervous and he pulls away giving you a soft smile.

"Thanks" He squeezes your shoulder and he heads back inside confusion racing through his mind.

When you head inside your house your heartbeat is just returning to normal.

This couldn't happen you couldn't focus on these feelings for Steve. It was so stupid and reckless and for goodness sake, he was married!!

Nothing could happen between the two of you, you really needed to get over this stupid crush.

It wasn't like he liked you anyway. Even if he wasn't married he found you annoying, he said so himself.

Why did you have to be attracted to someone who was completely unavailable? It made you feel like an idiot and just very low.

It was imperative that you needed to get over this crush before you ended up very hurt.

He made you feel safe, he helped you build the foundation of what you had thought was the perfect relationship. Ryan was a dream that had turned into a terrible, horrific, nightmare. Steve had always been open about his opinion on every guy that entered your life. Ryan was not what he hoped he would be. “y/n, come on. He isn’t the same guy from when you introduced him to us. we're just looking out for you.'' Robin said from the front seat of your brother's car. “Ryan is my boyfriend, and he is the same guy. Now please, stop talking shit about him.” you spoke loudly from the back of the car as Steve pulled into the family video and arcade parking lot. “y/n we're worried he's going to fuck you u in the end. I personally don’t want you to get hurt, by some shrimp dick fuck head with no respect and-” you had cut Steve off. “STOP! You guys don’t know him so shut it!” you yelled in a huff, opening the door and getting out. You sat outside the arcade, your shift ended 3 hours ago, and Ryan wasn’t there to pick you up. Steve and Robin had left 2 hours ago after you told them you had a ride. Which you thought you did, but nope. “Fuck.” you said as Keith was locking up the video store. “Hey Keith, can I bum off you for a ride home, I'll pay for the gas.” you asked your brother's coworker and boss. “y/n you don’t need to pay for the gas, i gave your brother the job, let’s go.” Keith smiled at you, you smiled back and got in his car. One month no calls and no shows for dates or picking you up from work. You thought he just forgot about you till you saw it, him. You were at Tammy Thompsons house for a party with your brother and whoever his date was, Robin, Nancy, Jonathan, Vicky, and Eddie ,your brothers metal head best friend and co parent of Dustin. Ryan was there with the hostess of the party, making out and groping each other, in front of you and your friends. “Mother fucker, i am going to,” Steve watched you walk out the front door, tears staining your face. “Shit,” Steve scanned his surroundings as quickly as he could, when his eyes landed on the metal head standing by the backdoor. Steve walked towards him in a rush, knowing his sister was almost a block away. “Eddie!” Steve shouted over the music to his friend. “What's up Harrington?” Eddie shouted back, taking in Steve's angered and concerned face. “A lot of shit just happened, but my sister left and she's probably a block away by now. Can you go find her and take her home?” Steve asked the long haired male in front of him, Eddie agreed and went to his van. You were sitting on the swings at a park, maybe 2 blocks away from the party, looking up at the sky. “Beautiful, right?” a familiar voice spoke, slightly scaring you, Eddie sat on the swing beside you. “For once, the past couple nights have been cloudy as shit. Like can’t see the moon or the stars. What the fuck mother nature!?” Eddie yelled the last thing, shaking his fist at the sky, which caused you to laugh. “Oh, was that a laugh I heard?” he asked jokingly, you turned to look at him. “So, smaller Harrington, why’d you leave the party?” he asked you, it caused the scene to flash before your eyes. “I guess my now ex boyfriend was making out with the hostess of the party. So, I left. I was going to go back, but I got distracted by the moon and the stars.” you said, telling Eddie, someone you barely knew. Yet for some odd twist of fate? Destiny? Whatever it was, you trusted him. “Steve's told me about Ryan. Sounds like a GIANT douche, by the way. You deserve better than that prick.'' Eddie rolled his eyes as he spoke of Ryan, in a normal circumstance you would have told him not to talk bad of Ryan. However, with what you just saw, fuck him. “Yeah, it's been a month of no effort from him. So, in all honesty, he can do whatever he wants, with whoever he wants. I couldn’t give two fucks about him anyway.” you chuckled coldly, messing with the chain around your neck with his name on it. You gripped the loose metal and ripped it from your throat. Eddie watched you with a curious gaze. You stood up from the swing you were on and reeled your arm back. I should have a rant account because sometimes I have thoughts then I remember that people will actively monitor my account to look for opinions that they know will annoy them so they can send me an anon telling me I’m the most awful person instead of just blocking me and realising that I’m a literal stranger who they will never meet and my opinion should be irrelevant to them.

Anyway what I wanted to say was, I don’t understand when antis say “what would Eddie and Chrissy talk about they have nothing in common?” first, they found plenty to talk about in the woods, it wasn’t awkward, their conversation ran pretty smoothly and they both seemed comfortable in each other’s company. Second of all, Eddie and Steve are exactly the same as Eddie and Chrissy, it’s outcast x popular athlete. Hell, Robin and Steve have hardly anything in common, yet they’re the best of friends. Then we’ve got Robin and Vickie who people complain are “too similar they’re basically the same person” and I’m just confused. Do people want their pairings to be the same or completely different because no one makes any sense.

Hey, IDK how long this has been sitting in my inbox, so sorry to keep you waiting.

Ahh, Harringrove my beloved. Honestly there's not a whole lot I don't love about the ship, aside from I do get annoyed when I see Harringrove fics where Billy is worse than canon just for added angst. Honestly, the Harringrove fans are a big part of why I love the ship. (There's a particular ship I avoid whenever possible, and a major part of it is the shippers.) There are so many talented artists and writers but more importantly, amazingly kind and open-minded people. I wish the rest of the Stranger Things fandom was like this.

Robin I'm pretty open minded about with ships, but my favorites are Robin/Vickie (yes we don't know much about Vickie but that's never stopped a rarepare shipper before; hopefully she'll get a bit more focus in Season 5), Robin/Heather, Robin/Chrissy (the mental image of Robin bluescreening over a cheerleader crush is so delightful I wish we'd gotten to see it, and Robin would be such a sweet if awkward girlfriend to Chrissy), and last but not least, Robin/Sheena (if you haven't read 'Rebel Robin' I highly recommend it and can provide a link to a free online version if necessary; Sheena Rollins is one of my favorite characters in the book and I found her way more interesting than Tammy 'Muppet Voice' Thompson).

As for my favorite Chrissy ships, I especially love Eddissy/Hellcheer, Robin/Chrissy (as mentioned above), and Harringrovesonham, or Steve/Billy/Eddie/Chrissy (I mostly blame @robthegoodfellow's ongoing WIP 'Only One Bed' for getting me into this ship).

Ooh, Karen. Not a fan of hers, at all. She's not the WORST mother on the show (Laura Cunningham I'm looking at you) but I HATE how so many people overlook her lusting over Billy just because Cara Buono is attractive. As my mother said when I told her about Karen's interactions with Billy, "She's a grown ass woman twice his age; she should know better." If the roles were reversed and it was Ted (or a genderswapped Karen) lusting after a 17/18 year old Billie Hargrove to the point of acting like a teenager at her workplace with friends, I can't imagine it would get the same amount of support/defense from fans.

Okay, first of all it’s never to much because I absolutely adore talking about stranger things.

DISCLAIMER: I am not trying to attack anyone or make anyone feel bad these are just my opinions. I will tag this accordingly.

Hopper- DILF, the end.

Okay, but in all seriousness I absolutely love Hopper. I love his development and his desire to protect the people he loves. I don’t care what anyone says, Hopper is a great dad. He isn’t perfect (no one is) but he always did his best to protect El. Once she came into his world, she become his world. One of my favorite moments with them was in season three when they were at the mall and he told El that she, “didn’t have to do this” (I’m paraphrasing) meaning fight the monster thing the mind flayer made. He always let her know there was an option not to use her powers, which was something that she had never had before. Also another one of my favorite hopper moments was when he basically threatened Mike. I don’t care what anyone says that was hilarious.

Stranger things as a whole:

Is it perfect? No, but no media is. It is extremely enjoyable and I love it. It’s extremely endearing and I love how all the scary monster stuff is contrasted with the kids being goofy and being friends. This has quickly become one of my favorite shows and I forgot how much I loved it until I watched season 4 and went back and watched seasons 1-3.

Ships:

I have many many thoughts on this. I’m just going to do the mainish ones so if I leave any out I’m sorry.

Jopper: Absolutely perfect

Stancy: I am going to make some people mad but I feel like a large majority of Stancy shippers view Nancy as some sort of consolation prize for Steve. I can see why people ship them but I think it does a disservice to their character development to have them get back together. In the wise words of Winston Schmidt, “don’t be a backslider”

Jancy:(is that the ship name idk)

He took pictures of Nancy when she was naked without her knowledge or consent. “Oh but that was a long time ago so much happened since then” I literally don’t care. He barely apologized and they just never talked about it again. It’s super weird. I love Jonathan and I don’t think he is a bad person. I just think being in a relationship with someone who did that to you is super weird. This is more on the writers for how they handled it tbh.

Lumax: Absolutely perfect. I adore them with my whole heart.

Ronance: I absolutely love this. It’s very wonderful.

Vicky x Robin: They are super cute!!! They have really good potential and I am curious to see where they go with that. Also having similar quirks does not mean they are carbon copies of each other. Calm down people.

Steddie: Amazing. 10/10. My wonderful beautiful friend @tyrannusbasiltons writes fic for them and it’s amazing.

However, a lot of the shippers need the calm the fuck down and stop harassing that poor actress that plays Chrissy.

Eddie x Chrissy: SUPER CUTE!!! I love the idea of it and it’s very sweet. Also they have very cute fanart.

Mileven: They are very cute!! I do enjoy them, not as much as I used to though. They have a very sweet pure teenage love.

Byler: This is a very cute ship. I support Will Byers in all his romantic efforts even if I believe he could do better. One of my favorite pastimes is watching Byler edits to Taylor swift songs. My personal opinion is that Mike is Bi. I think there is real validity to this ship. It would be cool if they could make it cannon but in all honesty I just want Will to end season 5 happy with a boyfriend. Doesn’t have to be Mike.

Also this is conflicting cause I absolutely adore El and want her to have the whole entire world. I do think it would be good for both El and Mike to date other people though.

Elmax: Absolutely perfect. 100/10. I think this ship is super adorable.

am i the only one who prefers ronance over rockie?😅 no offence to rockie shippers but ronance has more chemistry for me,sadly it’s not gonna happen😣

No, I'm absolutely the same. I think Rockie has the potential to be really cute and I am rooting for it, but so far we've only seen them once together and we know absolutely nothing about Vickie beyond her having a boyfriend and chatting a lot which isn't a fully formed personality at all. I mean, when I make posts about her I have to tag Vickie Stranger Things because we don't even know her last name. But I would say I still ship Rockie to a certain extent. I like Amybeth and having a bi character in Stranger Things, so I genuinely hope they get way more screen time in S5 and most Rockie shippers are very nice so I wish the ship the best.

That being said, Ronance is a lot better in my opinion. I'm just a sucker for their rivals to lovers vibes. Also popular girl x unpopular girl. But beyond tropes, to me it fits with their characters, in particular Nancy. I'm writing her character analysis right now and her whole thing with Steve is that she forces herself to date him because she wants to rebel by dating a popular guy and drinking and stuff like that, but truly rebelling would be dating who she actually liked. I think that but sapphic would be so amazing. Plus having an original main character be bi would be awesome, more so than Vickie in my opinion (although I'm not bi). And on Robin's side of things, I really want her to get a girlfriend and I just prefer Nancy to Vickie because we know more about Nancy and their scenes together have romantic vibes. You can't tell me everyone wouldn't ship it if it was m/w or even m/m.

So whilst I love Vickie and Rockie, I think I'm routing for Ronance more. However I don't think Ronance will happen unfortunately (I hope so!) in which case I'd love Rockie to happen. If the writers give them more screen time next season this opinion may change but for now, I heavily agree with you, anon. Thanks for the ask!

Pairings: Steve Harrington X Reader, Eddie Munson X Reader Warnings: Alcohol, Strong Language, Drug Use (Marijuana), Potential DUI Author’s Note: Based on the song ‘Ralphie’ by Post Animal. Be sure to vote for the next part! Summary: Cause Steve went to the party and he left his pretty baby with Eddie

The bell rings, signalling the departure of the final customer of the night. Steve rewinds returned movies absentmindedly. Robin straddles the counter, writing down that day's takings from the Cash Register. She writes with a Family Video pen that is running out of ink. She shakes it infuriated. “Hey, Dingus do you have another pen,” She asks. “You hear me? Hello?”

She throws the pen at her co-worker, hitting him square in the side of the face. Steve’s head whips towards her in confusion. Eyes leaving the group of teens that stood outside the window of their small video store. “Pen?” she asks once more.

“Oh uh yeah,” Steve replies, eyes unashamedly wandering back outside, focused on one girl in particular. His hands pat himself down weakly, in a pathetic attempt to hand over his own pen, before giving up and forgetting about the pen entirely.

Robin sighs exasperatedly, rolling her eyes before jumping off the counter and towards the boy. She crouches to his level, following his gaze.

“Will you stop staring at her?” She says, “ I want this shift to be finished so we can go home”

“Yeah, yeah I’m done,” Steve replies, Putting the wound tape back in its case. “And I wasn’t staring”

“yeah, and I didn’t pause Sixteen Candles at that one shower scene” Robin deadpans, returning to her writing with the newly acquired pen she took from Steve’s pocket. “She’s hot, I get it”

The brunet boy strides to the glass door, turning the once open sign to read ‘sorry we’re closed’ with a large cartoon sad face. “It’s not just that, she’s…”

The thought was interrupted as he watched her, laughing with friends. Y/N catches his eye through the window and gives him a quick wave. Steve smiles back. “Different” He finishes

Robin doesn’t reply, Instead shrugging off her green ‘Family Video’ vest, and pulling on her oversized blazer.

“She’s like the smartest person I’ve ever met, but not like just in an academic way. She cares about shit, man. Politics and stuff.”

A strong chuckle from Robin, “God you’re so pussywhipped.”

“Quit it, Robin, we’re just friends”

“Friends don’t picture friends naked.” Throwing his bomber Jacket at him, she swiped the keys from the counter, preparing to leave the store. “Steve is in luuurve” she jests, ruffling his hair as he protests.

“Yeah, yeah.” He says, fixing his hair in the reflection of the sunglasses from his jacket pocket, “I barely even know her”

At that statement Robin turns slowly, A look that screamed ‘ are you dumb’ widely apparent on her face. “Then get to know her. Take her to that party” She states, “She’s right outside!”

“I can't”

“Why not”

“‘Cause then you’ll be by yourself?”

“Oh, my God!” she exasperates “Eddie is gonna be there, Wheeler is gonna be there. Vickie is gonna be there! Now stop making excuses! If you don't, I’ll do it for you.”

And she did.

It wasn’t a shock to Y/N that Steve wanted to take her out. She’d noticed his lingering stares, and heard from her friends the questions he’d asked about her. And yeah, he was cute, but unfortunately for Steve, Y/N thought he would just be a pretentious prick.

What was a shock, however, was how genuine the proposition of going to the party with him was.

He’d gotten Robin to ask her. Which was strange considering she’d never spoken to the girl before, so a mutual friend introduction was off of the cards. And her previous opinion of the cocky, overconfident, self-proclaimed ‘King of Hawkins High’ had her assuming he would have the balls to ask her himself. Nonetheless, she found his nervousness, and reluctance to ask himself, endearing. And she told Robin that he could pick her up at 8 on Friday.

Robin herself was surprised it would work, it felt all too juvenile for her. It was like she was back in grade school and breaking up with her friend’s boyfriends because they couldn’t do it themselves. Or that time in freshman year when she helped ask someone out by passing a note. But alas, Steve was her friend, and she cared about him.

Steve was over the moon when he was told. He’d prepared himself for the worst: who needs their best friend to ask a girl to a party for him? She probably thinks I’m so dumb. So dumb and awkward that I can’t even ask a girl out by myself.

And it's true, Y/N did find it dumb and awkward, but obviously, she didn't mind. He ran out of the store as she waved goodbye to her friends.

“You’re sure” He panted, out of breath from his very short sprint, “You- you wanna go out with- me?”

“Yeah, Totally” Y/N smiles, ripping a spare leaf of paper from a small notebook in her bag. She scrawls on it quickly. “But next time, just ask me yourself.”

She walks off and into the backseat of her friends car. Steve lets out a breath he didn’t realise he was holding. Turning on his heel and speeding home to choose his outfit as if he were a teenage girl.

Steve counted the minutes until he would pick her up on Friday: 4,212 if you account for the time he needed to psych himself up before ringing her doorbell. 4226 if you accounted for Robin being late. 4208, if not. He laid out 3 possible outfits on his unmade bed. None of which felt good enough. He knew that she was just going to look so effortlessly beautiful (even if she also took hours getting ready) and he knew that he would never compare. He could never compare.

I should make my bed in case she comes back here afterwards. He thought, But he swatted it away. She was too important to take home for a one-and-done. No matter how much he wanted to see her in his bed.

Eventually settling on a navy striped polo shirt (the original choice), he checked himself once over in the mirror. Hands running through brown strands, trying to tame the locks that grew greasier with every pass of his fingers. Just stop touching it, Steve.

He picked Robin up before heading to Monroe, she elected to sit in the back seat, leaving the pride of place -girlfriend spot- in the passenger seat empty for her.

Despite Steve’s protests that she was ‘making it too obvious’, He was secretly glad to have Y/N sit next to him. Eyes on her thighs as she drew circles on the denim of her jeans.

'Cause I went to the party and I left my Pretty baby with Ralphie Eddie, baby and now I'm alone

The party was in full swing when the three got there. They weren’t even sure who’s party it was, but it seemed like nobody else did either. Robin wandered off soon after, leaving the pair alone. It wasn’t awkward, thank god, but Steve still felt glued to the spot. She bopped slightly to the music, Roxanne by the Police.

Old enough that it was her taste in music, but still new enough that it would play at a party like this. Steve caught himself staring. “So,” he trailed off, trying to find a conversation starter “want a drink?”

“Aren’t you driving?” She questioned, eyeing Steve as he swung the keyring of his keys around a finger. A nervous habit.

He hesitates, “Yeah, I don’t drink anymore. But I’ll find you one”

Eyes scanned the room for someone he knew. Robin talks with Nancy on a nearby sofa. They both have cups of something in their hands, Smiling and giggling, he wonders how they’ve both gotten so drunk so quickly. Jonathan stands near, a gentle hand on his girlfriend’s shoulder.

“Are you sure? I can stay sober with you? Don’t feel like drinking anyways.” Y/N offers, taking Steve by the hand and leading him away from the door. He doesn’t focus on what she said, and instead on the static that succumbs his palm in hers. Steve just stutters in response. “It’s no worry” She adds.

He smiles, wordlessly thanking her for her offer, and hand still in hers the pair of them walk through the house, and out a pair of sliding doors into the backyard. People are jumping from the roof and into the pool below. Others swing unrhythmically, trying to dance. She knows nobody, but some seem to know Steve.

“Harrington, What you doing here?” A voice shouts, approaching the pair and enveloping the boy in a strangely effeminate hug. It was refreshing to see. Someone so unbothered by conformity. “And who’s this?” He asks, turning face to look at her. Untamed hair swaying in the wind. An unlit spliff hanging between his lips. Her eyes lingered on them slightly too long.

“Eddie, This is Y/N. She’s my uh-” Steve thinks for a second, looking into eyes which were not looking back at him “-friend.”

It hit like a pang in his chest to say, but he pushed the feeling down. His grip subconsciously tightened around her fingers. Steve took a deep, but quiet, breath. His hand was still in hers after all. He had nothing to worry about.

Until it wasn’t.

“M’lady,” Eddie Munson bent down on one knee, offering a palm for her to place in. She broke the contact with Steve, allowing Eddie to kiss her knuckles, “Look into my eyes, you will see who I am-” He starts as if reciting Shakespeare on the Globe Stage.

“-My name is Lucifer, please take my hand” Y/N finishes, mimicking his tone.

Steve stands unsure of what is going on. The static feeling in his left hand was long gone as he watched her giggle a way around her sentence with Eddie. He felt lost.

The messy-haired brunet stands from one knee. “You know Black Sabbath?” He asks, stunned. Taking the joint from his lips and placing it gently behind his ear.

“Yeah, a little” She smiles, “Who doesn’t”

“I don't” Steve pipes in, trying to worm his way back into the conversation. “I never knew you were into that crap,” He asks, unable to help the slight glance at Eddie when he says so.

The older boy scoffs, offended. “You wound me, sir”

“It's maybe not my usual scene, but I can admit when music is good, Harrington”

She’d called him that before. But why did it only hurt now once Eddie had said it? He followed Y/N sulkily as Eddie led her to where he was originally sitting. Some loungers someone had dragged into the corner of the lawn. Clearly trying to avoid the hoards of drunken teens.

“You were in our year, weren’t you?” She asked, ‘Class of ‘85”

Eddie smiles cheekily, sitting on the lounger opposite. Steve took it as his opportunity to sit next to her. He held his knee close enough he could feel the warmth of her thighs. “Uh yeah I was, technically should’ve been ‘84”

“Shit, you had to resit?” She almost felt bad for bringing it up, but Eddie never seemed to mind. “I don’t think I could have done 2 years, Think I would have dropped out.”

“3 years actually” he corrects, “I’m still there now”

Steve felt bad for the laugh that came from his throat. He tried to cover it with a cough. He might not know Metal music or play the guitar. But, at least he finished his final year of high school in a one-er. At least he still had that one up on Eddie.

Steve leaned back slightly, Slinging an arm behind her back. He didn’t touch her, but he did move closer. Almost a sign of dominance over the metal head in front of him. A sort of ‘fuck you, I had her first’ move.

Eddie noticed it, Y/N did not. “Unlucky.” she grimaced at his answer.

“Yeah, it’s shit but I’d rather take my time than end up with some deadbeat job for the rest of my life.” He continues, watching Steve as he spoke. “What about you Harrington? What have you done since you left?”

A harsh jab. Steve didn’t think Eddie would have it in him. They were friends, and Steve never would have said anything against Eddie. Thought it? Definitely. But said it? No.

Luckily, Y/N jumped to his defence, “He works at that Family Video near the highway. You're up for the supervisor promotion, right?” she states, blissfully unaware of the ongoing feud between the eyes of her two suitors. “Big fancy boss man, Steve Harrington”

“Is that right,” Eddie’s voice is deep, testing.

It’s not that she was naive. Y/N knew Steve liked her, and she could tell from the twinkle in Eddie’s eyes that maybe he did also. But, she never realised quite how much. And she definitely didn’t realise the tension between them. And so Y/N struck up a conversation with Eddie again, eager to get to know the boy she seemed to share so much common with.

A small sense of defeat flooded Steve as she chattered away. He wasn’t going to sit there uninvolved in the conversation and let Eddie feel like he’d won. So he took his own initiative and excused himself. Claiming that he was going to check on Robin, for her sake. Absolutely not because he needed advice from his best friend.

Was doing much better when you weren't here And now I'm feeling something And I know she's doing better without me

He’d find the girl standing with a short redhead. She cracks terrible jokes and snorts through her nose. It is possibly one of the least endearing things he could think of, but for some reason, it is completely working for her. And the redhead, who he now recognises as Vickie, is laughing away, smile plastered to her face.

How is it so easy for some people? he thinks, Interrupting their conversation.

“Rob, I need your help” he whispers into the girl’s ear.

“Not now, Steve” She stays through a smile.

He runs his fingers through his hair, “She’s with Eddie, I need to get her alone”

“Oh my god,” she exasperates, breaking from her conversation with Vickie, “I asked her here for you, I think you need to do some of the work yourself. I’m not a fucking lamp you can rub and expect to do your bidding”

Under normal circumstances, he would have maybe laughed. Laughed like Vickie was laughing. But right now his mind was preoccupied. He stole the cup of beer from Robin’s hands.

“Hey, you’re my ride home?” She protests but is met by a widespread hand.

“I’m just having one, for confidence”

It was a lie, of course. But Steve knew he wasn’t going to be able to talk to her sober. And so he drank. And then drank some more.

He drank until 11 pm, when he was in - by far- the worst state of the party. He wandered aimlessly through the halls, before finally plotting himself on the carpet of a quiet hallway on the second floor. Unbeknownst to him, Y/N dragged Eddie through those same halls trying to find him. Flirty banter rife through the air

“He’s probably just gone home” Eddie exhausts, dragging his feet as he walked, “We can smoke just the two of us”

“He wouldn’t just do that,” she counters, “plus, he took me here. It’s only fair”

“If it's a ride you’re worried about, I’ll just take you home.”

She jokes back, “what kind of ride?” and Eddie’s face flushes red. “He’s still here, I know he is.”

Eddie rolls his eyes once more, catching Y/N gently by the arm. He takes the spliff from behind his ear and offers it up to her mouth. “You’re too nice, for your own good” he almost whispered, a frisky tone peeking through his clichéd words, “Harrington can wait”

Y/N could only blush in response, taking the blunt with her fingers. Eddie flips the lid of his colibri. Arguably much too nice of a lighter for him to just have handy. Though the engraved ‘Wayne Munson’ gave away it’s true owner. He holds the flame high as she takes her first drag. “Why have we never spoken before?” She asks, genuine.

“We’re just different kinds of people i guess”

“What makes you think that?”

He just shrugs, “You’re here with Steve Harrington, for starters”

“What’s that mean?” her brows furrow, handing the joint over to Eddie.

He takes a toke, speaking on his exhale “You’re full of questions, Lady Y/N”

“You’re not so full of answers, Master Munson”

“Master,” A sharp inhale, “I like that one”

A sharp -yet soft- tap to the stomach for Eddie as the two giggled at his inappropriate joke. Y/N slides down the wall she was leaning on, knees together and perched tp the side as she sat. A sort of mature class in her mannerisms, yet entirely juvenile at the same time. He couldn't help but watch her as she descended. He couldn’t help but watch her as she did anything.

“Whats your shirt mean?” She asks, patting the floor next to her, urging him to sit. He wore his famed Hellfire-Club Tee.

“Just some club i’m in. It's pretty fun. Dungeons and Dragons. You know, the game?”

“That Satanic worship thing?”

“It's not actually” Eddie defends, “It's just like fantasy, adventure stuff.”

Y/N just nods, taking her penultimate draw of the joint. “I think i’d like it, you should teach me to play”

Eddie finds himself at a loss for words. For the first time in his life, he chokes. “Uh- yeah. Maybe”. His eyes follow the roach on its travels between Y/N’s lips. Never jealous of a piece of card before he doesn’t register that the girl is even still speaking.

“Right, enough chit chat. I need to go find Steve before this kicks in fully” She grunts, pushing herself off the floor. “You can finish this,”

She offers up the end of the joint in one hand, and the other helps pull the boy from the floor. Her hand stays in his as they wander. Eddie finishes his toke.

Baby guess I'll go home Whether that's with or without you.

The final corner in a strangely long line of right angles reveals Steve, drinking from the bottle and murmuring to himself. Y/N call his name as she approaches. He hiccups, looking up at her with big brown eyes.

“I thought you didn't drink?”

“I don’t”

“Then why are you drunk?”

“I'm not”

Eddie rolled his eyes as she tried to pull the boy to his feet. He should have helped her, he wasn’t sure why he didn’t. It wasn’t going to make her like him more if he was being a dick.

“C’mon Stevie” she entreated, walking him down the hall. “Let me take you home. Where are your keys?”

He mumbled a small ‘pocket’ before keeling over, and into Eddie. The long-haired boy caught him, holding him upright as Y/N slid her hands into the front pocket of Steve’s jeans. If Whiskey Dick were not a thing, Steve would have popped at semi right there.

“You’re gonna drive him?” Eddie asks, to which she only hummed. “Y/N, you’re stoned”

Steve allowed Eddie to take him down the stairs, but as soon as he reached the bottom, Eddie pushed him onto a nearby chair. Not in the most kindly way either. She thanked him regardlessly, mind foggy with the aftermath of the bud.

“Yeah, I’ll probably let him crash on my couch”

Eddie’s eyebrows furrow, she wouldn’t even take him to his own house? “Can’t Robin or someone take him?”

“She doesn't drive” Y/N excuses, picking Steve’s head up as he lulls to the side, “Hey, Harrington, you gotta stay awake for me.” He just groans, “C’mon party animal, you’re missing out”

“Yeah Y/N, I can’t let you do that” Eddie tries, big brown puppy eyes boring into hers. He almost convinces her with the beautiful twinkle in his eye. “C’mon, it’s not safe”

“I am peachy”

“Oh yeah? Bend over and touch your toes”

Confused, but compliant. Y/N folds, fingertips getting as far as her knees before she stumbles forward. “I’m just clumsy,” she tries to excuse.

“Yeah sure. Hey Wheeler!” He calls, catching a couple as they go leave the party together. ��Can you do the lovely Y/N here a solid, and take Steve home”

“Not Nancy,” Steve murmurs suddenly, reaching for her Y/N’s hand. He takes her fingers gently, toying with them as Eddie watches. Jealous.

“Yeah, he probably wouldn't appreciate that, I’ll take him” She states, “Look me up in the phonebook, or get my number from someone.” Steve swings an arm around her, ready to leave.

“No, Y/N, stay!” Nancy insists, “He’s on our way anyways. You enjoy your night!”

She takes a second, thinking through her options in their entirety. One side is screaming to stay with Eddie, Have a good night, avoid a DUI. She could get Steve to forgive her in the morning - if he even remembered. Plus, Nancy and Jonathan are leaving anyway, so nobody would be missing out. But the other took one look at Steve and filled her with worry. What's going on with him? If he found out Nancy and Jonathan took him home, that would break him. He’s a sensitive soul. But she was fried out of her mind.

“I’d uh-” Eddie interrupts her thought. “I’d really like it if you’d stay. Y/N”

And so she chooses…

Stranger things teens ship analysis

disclaimer: I can’t write about all the stranger things ships in one post, so I have another post about stranger things kids ships (Byler, Lumax, etc.), and am also planning to make one about the adults.

Jancy: Jancy was really cute up until season 4. Then their relationship became kinda toxic. But in all the other seasons I definitely shipped them, and I’m pretty confident that they are an endgame ship. Rating: 6.5/10

Stancy: I’ve never shipped Stancy, and I don’t think that the duffers want us to either. They were clearly just used as a prop to get Jancy going, and they were quite a toxic relationship. Steve and Nancy are better off with other people, and I hope that Steve will realize that like Nancy did. Rating: 0/10

Ronance: The idea of Ronance is cute and I ship it about as much as I ship Jancy, but I don’t see it becoming canon because Robin and Vickie both canonically like eachother, but who knows, I wouldn’t mind much if I were wrong 🤷. Rating: 6/10

Jargyle: Jargyle is awesome, and I love it. I ship it about as much romantically as I do platonically, and you guys are really out here doing gods work with the fanwork. I don’t see it becoming canon because it’s pretty clear that they are just besties, but I’d love it if it was. Rating: 7/10

Stonathan: to be honest I don’t see the chemistry at all with this one, but the idea of the ship is cute. And I mean, Steve was pretty chill with the fact that Jonathan literally slept with his girlfriend in season 2. Rating:4/10

Steddie: I liked Steddie at first, but Steddie fans have kinda ruined it for me. A lot of them are either Eddie stans/simps, or fujoshis, both of which are a red flag. The ship it’s self is really cute, but some of the fans are problematic and we all know that if one of them wasn’t white there wouldn’t be nearly as many fans, I mean look at them compared to jargyle, both are healthy ships, but only one has a large amount of creepy fans, and yet that one has WAY more shippers. I think that that’s a little suspicious. (Also I’m aware that there are plenty of normal Steddie shippers out there, I just think that there are more problematic ones than there should be.) Rating: 4/10

Stobin: NO. NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. ROBIN IS A LESBIAN. IF YOU SHIP STOBIN ROMANTICALLY, GET OFF MY ACCOUNT. Rating: -100000/10

Rockie: (is that the ship name for Robin and Vickie?) I don’t have that much of an opinion on this ship, but it’s pretty cute I guess. My only problem with it is that I wish that they had given Vickie more screen time or introduced her earlier in the series because it’s hard to me to care about a ship when I hardly know anything about one of the characters. I feel like that was kinda bad writing on the duffers part, but that’s my only problem with it, other than that it’s fine. Rating: 6/10

Buckingham: The fanwork for this ship is everything, but they literally have zero moments together. I get why people ship it though because the dynamic would be cute. Rating: 5/10

Chrissy x Jason: (what is the ship name for this????) Jason really cared about Chrissy, but they barely got any time together on the show, plus Chrissy was giving me lesbian vibes so- Rating: 3/10

Harringrove: Billy was definitely a simp for Steve, but Billy was rasist, abusive, and just a terrible person in general and Steve deserves a lot better. Rating: -100/10

Barb x Nancy: where is the hype for this ship?? It’s so cute! Barb wasn’t alive for very long so I don’t have that much to say on the ship, but i definitely shipped them while she was alive. Rating 7.5/10

Hellcheer : I didn’t see any chemistry for this tbh. They interacted once, when Chrissy tried to buy drugs from Eddie and then got vecnaed. I just dont see where people are getting a romantic relationship from, I guess. Rating 3/10

Rating the most liked “ships” my opinion and why I rated it that way

steddie: 4/10, I just don’t ship it, find them being platonically friends than anything else tbh, I get why it’s a ship I just don’t see it

Byclair: 6/10 platonically one of my favs, their scenes of them being friends is everything!

mileven: 3/10, no. It’s not bc I ship Byler, it’s because it feels forced and toxic, el doesn’t even know proper English let alone knows much about school and gets a bf that quickly?

Byler: 9/10, friends to lovers, they had more chemistry then ships that are canon, I love them, def my 2 fav

lumax: 8/10, soulmates, love them, I prefer them over elmax honestly, they deserve to be endgame tbh

jopper: 6?/10 idk, the ship is ok, it’s cute

Harringrove: 10/10, I’m not being biased I swear, it’s just the enemies to friends to lovers trope hits different plus Billy deserves someone

jancy: 7/10, I love it, they are soulmates honestly, this ship deserves better

HellCheer(Chrissy x Eddie): 8/10, one of my favs, they were super cute until that happened, definitely prefer this over Jason x Chrissy tbh

Mungrove: 5/10, it’s a decent ship, definitely better then steddie, not my preference ship tho

elumax: 8/10, yes. I prefer this over a bit of ships honestly

Mrs wheeler x Ted: ?/10 idk. It’s better than Billy x mrs wheeler tho

Robin x Heather: 9/10, I love it, so much. vicky x Robin: 5/10, it’s decent!

here's my opinion on ronance even tho no one asked:

Nancy and Robin could work together, sure, HOWEVER, if your only real point is "Vickie and Robin are too similar to date" then you are a problem!

The whole "opposites attract" thing is so goddamned overused and, in most cases, when you're in a gay relationship you like to date someone who's similar to you

it's better to date someone with similar interests, hobbies, goals, and aspirations. you're all basing ronance off of the idea of a straight relationship, which in turn makes the whole ship feel gross

I dislike Nancy, as previously stated in another post, but I do think her and Robin would make a nice relationship, just not for the reasons everyone else has.

EDIT: I don't think I articulated this very well, apologies for that, so lemme try and help you understand what I was tryna say

Ronance is amazing, it's one of the best ships to come out of this show and, if we don't get jebaited, I think it'd be really good representation of a healthy lesbian ship! (unlike tlou2, I hate you)

I also dislike Robin x Vickie, I don't think it's a good ship and it's gross that they kinda just threw the lesbian character at a character with basically no screen time and who's really just a background character.

my point was that I've seen a lot of people jump onto the bandwagon of "Vickie and Robin are too similar so they can't date" and having that as their only opinion of the ship. there's so many more reasons why the ship isn't good, and I hate that that's the only reason I've seen floating around lately

Thoughts on Robin’s characterization and how it differs in S3 versus S4?

ooh. oohohohoh. oh my. never really thought about this before. but now i have to. oooh. this might not be quite what youre looking for but ill try my best. it's prob less on her characterization per say and just my opinions on her in general.

robin in season 3. i loved her. she was great. she was new and she was gay canon lgbt lesbianism. she was badass as hell and so smart. but it felt like a lot of her character was reduced to her being gay, at least immediately after the fact, not canon-wise but fanon wise. i'm so glad that she wasn't just someone to further steve's character development, she was her own person, not a rebound or failed rebound for steve. she helped him grow and learn new things about himself. she was great. and she just fit right in with the group.

of course there's going to be a big difference between s3 robin and s4 robin because we're only just meeting her in s3.

s4 robin. she was wonderful. we love robin in every season so that's a given. i was unsure about the crush situation. especially once vickie wasn't actually a part of the s4 plot at all. we know nothing abt this girl. if we learn more, that's cool, but i don't know. it feels like robin x vickie was created for byler parallels. it probably wasn't but idk. i absolutely loved robin's whole feminism rant to the psychologist dude. it's one of my favorite scenes. she's just so freaking smart. and i forget that sometimes and i love it when the writers remind me that 'oh hey, these children are supposed to have lives beside the monsters' and that the real world exists. i can't wait until/if people find out that she's a lesbian. i really hope she has a coming out scene to at least dustin because he keeps shipping romantic stobin and we're not here for that. but i digress. i thought the whole robin seeing vickie and her bf kiss scene was impactful. and her afterwards, "i really don't care, i would if it was any time but rn but because the world's ending we have more important things." because i just think that's so true. and it relates to all kinds of characters thinking and mentioning that their romantic troubles are stupid when there's more important stuff going on. like mike. and nancy i think? i cant really remember who the other one was. i kinda felt like the vickie and robin scene at the end was forced. like i felt like robin had moved on past vickie because it wasn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. but i also thought that steve had moved on from nancy so i guess i'm wrong on a lot of things. i'm glad that robin had a pretty significant role in the plot, as she did before, but i feel like her romance just exists because "oh we gotta give everyone a love interest" and while it's nice to have a lesbian with a girlfriend, vickie doesn't have any personality right now. if she was more developed, i'd like that storyline, but it just feels forced.

My number one ship/OTP is Ronance

I'm not good with words so imma just let it stand there

I don't hate Steddie, but the fact that it's in the Ronance Tag is making me not like that ship, it's cute and all, but stop main tagging Ronance or other ships if it's only background or smth

Ronance has my brain but Elmax has my heart... With ronance together tho...

Lumax is adorable and I like it

Elumax is also adorable and it's the most acceptable Poly couple in my opinion but I don't really like poly shops, but well if it's only gay I like it, if it's two guy/one girl or two girls/one guy, I don't really like that

Jopper (FINALLY) is canon now! And I'm very happy. That's my Fav straight ship 👍 I got nothing more to say

So straight byler (Jancy) is okay, it's definitely better then stancy and I hated all the stancy moments in this season, but I actually thought jancy was gonna be okay with the way they talked about each other when they were talking to Fred/Argyle, but I'd rather have Nancy be Single.. (or better yet, with Robin😊👍)

Gay Byler (Original Byler ig) is cute and all, Mike deserved Will in season 1 and 2 but season 3 and 4 Mike doesn't deserve Will and will definitely deserves better but if he wants to be with Mike, then let him get together with Mike 🙌

Lesbian Byler (✨Karen and Joyce✨) I just love wlw ships and Karen deserves better and I also just recently discovered this ship... I'm disappointed in myself lol (jopper all the way tho too)

So um.. I never really cared for Dustin and Suzie, it's cute and all, and I really love Suzie! And I also really love Dustin! So 👍

I do ship henclair and the only reason being because they were the only people left of the party if elmax and Byler were dating, but I do genuinely also like the ship. I honestly think it's my Fav mlm ship because it's not that popular? Or idk if it's popular.. But ye.. And Lucas and Dustin are sweethearts so 👍👍

Will x Lucas is cute, I also just discovered it and Lucas would be a good boyfriend so I have no problem with that ship

Sometimes I'm confused as to why people don't ship ronance lol, but I'm just soo obsessed with it that I thought everyone like it 😪😂, but well I don't really like Robin x Vickie, I mean maybe (probably/hopefully) Vickie gets more screentime and has a different personality than Robin in season 5, because rn they are too similar for me. I mean she clearly (I think) also has a crush on Robin and I don't want to erase anything by not shipping a 'Canon' (not yet ig) wlw ship because I ship Robin with another girl (I read something like that once, with erasing representation because of shipping her with another girl (Nancy) idk if it's true but so far they are not together anyway).. Honestly idk if anything that I just said makes sense lol

Anyway, moving to another Robin ship, which I actually like lol, is.. Well I wanted to say Melissa (the girl from the volunteer food stand thingy) because the ✨CHEMISTRY!✨ (I honestly, genuinely, really thought, Robin was gonna end up with her and I would have accepted it and even liked it, because after that scene with Robin seeing Vickie with her boyfriend, I thought that was done)

But now I remember another Robin ship which is cute and it's ✨Buckingham✨ (Chrissy x Robin), honestly they never interacted and I think they'd have more chemistry than Robin and Vickie (they do have chemistry in the end tho but I feel like that they have the least chemistry out of every Robin ship)

And btw no Vickie Slander, I love her and she's cute and I ship her with Chrissy because we need more wlw ships... Also I ship Chrissy with Tammy because of a fanart I've seen, I also headcanon Chrissy as a Lesbian now because of that and also eddie and Chrissy are cute but I like them being platonic Soulmates more (like Robin and Steve)

All the other mlm ships i haven't mentioned, i either don't care, or don't like them, or am to lazy too mention them, if you wanna know my opinion, you can ask me!

If you disagree with anything I said, that's fine and idc, just don't hate on my opinions...sorry that I hated on stancy to all the stancy shippers tho ig?
