He looked away again as he twirled the flower in his fingers. “You know when we were talking last week, I told you about why I agreed to the engagement with Frigga?”
“About the future?
“Yeah, and I said that I’ve been trying to figure out what direction I wanted to go?”
“Yes.”
“And who I should do it with?”
Rosalind stared at him, unsure what he was trying to say. Marcus turned back to them, took up Rosalind’s hand one more time in one hand, raised it to his lips, and kissed it. His own hands were trembling. Finally, he held out the camellia to them with his free hand and asked in the quietest voice they’d ever heard from him, “Will you marry me?”
(Blood and Thorns, Chapter 17)
Alright, one more painting to go after this one and all 18 chapter paintings will be uploaded! It's really amazing to me that I finished such a huge project, each painting represents approximately 15-20 hours of work, more in some cases, and once the last chapter's is uploaded, I will have an update of the cover too! Maybe I'll have some fan art after that, we'll see, but my work ism going to be primarily focused on Blood and Thorns and its universe. But!! Maybe I'll do some drawings about the other characters or towns.
✨✨✨

Come along with me to Ozelea, a world bursting with magic and drama! I'm building the world that these characters live in, and you can learn about it in Blood and Thorns: https://pinkchaosstories.tumblr.com/bloodandthorns
Jane Austen was so insane for writing Emma I’m losing my mind
Like you have the mean bossy femme lesbian in her late 20’s, living off her trust fund and becoming hyper-obsessed with a local pretty peasant girl Jennifer’s Body style. People call her perfect, and she knows they’re right
(They’re wrong. Her childhood best friend - her metaphoric conscious - reminds her every day.)
She’s the protagonist of this book but the antagonist of every other: she’s Caroline Bingley, Blanche Ingram, Cordelia Chase, Regina George, Heather Chandler. She’s the queen of this school, and popularity is a hell of a drug.
(Popularity is the only power she has. There’s something itching at the back of her brain: She doesn’t want to be this. She doesn’t want to do this. Why is she trying to impress all these mean people.)
She can do no wrong. She mocks the annoying weird girl and everybody laughs and the weird girl finally shuts up.
(He’s frowning at her in the background. She’s frowning at herself. She’s angry at both of them)
People think she’s charming and beautiful and so kind.
(They’re wrong.)
She keeps everybody at arm’s length, staying mean and fiercely independent.
(They can’t see her loneliness. Her failures. The way she watches her pretty new friend laughing joyfully and beautifully in the sun, and it just makes her feel sad.)
She plays Cupid because she sees people as her play things - love is just a game for her.
(She plays Cupid because she knows that everybody will leave her in the end, anyways. This just allows her to control it.)
Jane Austen famously called Emma “a heroine whom no one but myself will much like.”
day 1 of convincing you to watch demons and daughters by sharing the most gay, heart wrenching, agonising sapphic love confession scene u will ever witness
you do not need any prior knowledge of dnd to enjoy this show, only a desire to see pining teenage regency era lesbians be gay and yearning and feral on a madcap journey to find their missing fathers, fight demons and break free of their patriarchal roles. the show is free on youtube!!
(ps if you watch to the end of the video you will giggle)
It’s also such a wasted opportunity to not have Eloise be a canonical lesbian like I’m gonna be honest I have next to no interest in watching her fall for a man
So i desperately need someone to rewrite all of pride and prejudice BUT it’s jegulus.
like could you IMAGINE ITTTT. James is Darcy and reg is Lizzie. They meet at a ball, James is in a pissy mood and is friends with Sirius (who I suppose would be uh- Jane????). The whole thing with Mr Collin’s literally being related to Lizzie works too cuz this *is* the noble house of black we’re talking abt, he can be Lucius or smth.
like I can just imagine him in the bookshop by himself looking around to make sure no one outside is looking then just snatching a book off the shelf to shove in his jacket
Then when aziraphale comes back he just leaves in a hurry so he could go to his flat and read lol
James "i love you" Potter and Regulus "it'll pass" Black
James "I'll do whatever you want" Potter and Regulus "then perish" Black
James "which of my important nothings shall I tell you first?" Potter and Regulus "if I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more" Black
James "to wish was to hope and to hope was to expect" Potter and Regulus "do not let the behaviour of others destroy your inner peace" Black
James "do you think God stays in heaven because he, too, lives in fear of what he's created?" Potter and Regulus "God may judge you but his sins outnumber your own" Black
James "Kill me. Kill me and live with the memory. Then tell the stars you won." Potter and Regulus "you cannot kill me in a way that matters" Black
James "I survived because the fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around me" Potter and Regulus "if the world chooses to become my enemy I will fight like I always have" Black
James "for some a prologue" Potter and Regulus "for some an epilogue" Black
‘gay retelling of a classic!’ ‘feminist sapphic twist on this greek myth!’ why don’t you write a better book than that. i think we deserve better books than that
This is for the Queer Austen Truthers! I give you Jane Austen’s “Emma” but as a sapphic YA graphic novel!!
I made this for my queer 18th century British literature class (very liberal arts college of me, I know) and I felt the need to share it!
I took quotes directly from “Emma” that can be read from a queer perspective and I paired them with illustrations that show my personal interpretation of the text.
PSA: This is MY interpretation. I know Emma is “straight” canonically but let me have my fun. If you don’t like queer readings of novels, don’t read! This isn’t for you!

In this little fantasy world, what gender you marry isnt the issue- its all about whether that person has enough influence in court to keep the status quo u_u
