just wanted to say having your positivity on my dash is a breath of fresh air. like the way you respond to asks and mutuals. it’s just like. man. i’m trying to unlearn the ‘have an ironic sense of detachment to avoid being cringe’ reaction and you’re kind of like an inspiration for that. that whimsy is truly wonderful.

sorry. i’m not really sure where i’m going with this but, uh, you rock. hope you have a good rest of your day.

My husband is the type of person who often throws passing compliments at a complete strangers ("hey, cool shirt!"; "you're doing that really well!"), while I, who's borderline socially awkward, often look silent and unfriendly next to him. It drives me nuts 'cause it's unfair--I'm just as nice as he is, if not nicer! I'm just a shy introvert! I love that about my hubs (it's one of the reasons I married him), but I've also always envied his talent that I lack.

So I just try to release my own friendly energy in online spaces! I've been doing it for years, and I love it. I think spreading positivity online is just as valuable as doing it in person, because this is where many people in need of comfort and support retreat to.

It is my honor to be on your dash and I'm glad you enjoy having me here. But you know, the fact that you took the time to send me this kind and thoughtful Ask means YOU are a source of positivity! YOU rock. Way to go!

what do kids these days do on discord?

And by that I mean the fandom side of discord. I was under the impression that it was for gaming people talking to each other while they play their little games, but I read more and more about it in connection to fandoms. Do people talk??? With their voices???? Or just chat? I can't imagine
