Young Teacher Tuvok Patreon | Ko-fi
#Person: So I heard from the students that you're the headteacher? / Tuvok: ???This is a college???#his kids gave him a mug that says 'Father' bc it would be impossible to ascertain whether or not he is in fact the no.1 dad#despite their own emphatically positive opinions...'Father' is factual v_v (in my mind the mug just has a vulcan symbol)#bea art tag#st voyager#Tuvok#Tuvok went through Starfleet training/academy - Quit - Then probably had to go to a whole different college to get a teaching license#When he re-entered Starfleet did he have to take lessons again?? Is there a separate license to be a Starfleet instructor?#After being expelled from his school as a teen ... how long was he with the monks? Did he repeat a grade?#Tuvok your education fascinates me#Vulcan school - expelled - learning at a temple with monks - repeat grade? / Vulcan school - graduate#enter starfleet academy - graduate - quit - enter college - graduate - teach - quit job - enter starfleet (academy?) - graduate?#- starfleet teaching license - end#note: I don't think under normal human circumstances you'd need to go back to the academy but Tuvok quit Starfleet at like 20 something#and who knows how many decades passed since then - I'm sure the curriculum changed a lot in like 70 years v_v#maybe....a few catchup courses. Like a semester instead of four(?) years#st voyager art#also I like the thought that Tuvok is considered introverted/reserved even amongst Vulcans#Less so than how humans perceive him but still enough that it IS a personality trait rather than purely a cultural difference

How did we get here...?
Nigel's parents died allegedly in a car accident when he was 14. When the news reached the spaceship he was on, he requested to be sent back on Earth immediately, and he was let go from the GKND.
Since he was still a minor, Father, or rather, Ben took him in and strangely... things were starting to get good. Maybe it was the fact the man realized he lost more than he wanted to admit, but he started treating Nigel as a kid of his own, arriving to reprimand the Delightfuls if they tried to play tricks on him.
The day the high school principal called Ben to school, because of Nigel being a distraction and cause of unsettling for being gay, Ben threatened to cut funds to the school if they dared to expel him because of that.
"The boy has every right to be happy, no matter who he wants to his side. And if that causes problems around school, I suggest you educate your students better on the matter. They are the real problem."
Fact is, that after two years of living with him, Nigel not only was starting to trust Ben, but also... care for him. He saw him as an adult he maybe could trust.
But then, he turned 16. Or better... 18.
Father knew Nigel could have his same powers hidden inside him. The only way to awaken them was for the person to be an adult. And Father already waited two long years, so he decided to cut times a bit. He built a machine, starting from the faulty delightfulizing one, that would advance Nigel's age by two years and awaken those powers he wanted to bad.
On the day of Nigel's 16 birthday, breaking that trust the boy slowly was building, he dragged him into that machine and started the plan he'd been working on for years at this point.
Everything turned out as planned.
Nigel now had those dark powers, raw and powerful, and he would use them as he wanted. If only he didn't miscalculate a little thing...
Nigel didn't want that. And now there was a furious batter inside him to take control, two forces battling, resulting into a body out of control, that would attack anything and anyone around himself.
Even Father.
He didn't know the kid was actually that strong, and with a single strike he left Father grasping for life. And he was still battling and losing, apparently, not being able to control that dark, terrible power.
Luckily for him, his friends realized something was off when they couldn't hear from him for the whole night, so they decided to go check on him. They found the Delightful Children running to them and asking for help, because it was not what they wanted!
When they got to Nigel, they couldn't recognize him at all. They needed to get him back to normal before the KND would know that another kind like Father was around, or they would lock him in forever!
Cue POWER OF FRIENDSHIP, they tried and hugged him all together, trying to reassure him everything would be okay.
It worked. Nigel calmed down and was left a crying mess in his friend's arms.
Numbuh 2-2 was the Soopreme Leader at the time, and he managed to help them hide what happened so that Nigel could think about getting better only. He would stay at Abby's, so that she and Simon could keep an eye on him better.
After the ordeal, Father and the Delightfuls would disappear for a year. No one heard from them since.
Nigel took time to get back from the shock of now somehow being two years older, a legal adult, with powers he didn't want and with one last piece of his heart missing.
Since he was an adult, he was able to get his parent's house back. He decided to finish school so he could stay closer to his friends, and was given CODE 0010 RED.
Since the house was inhabited again, the KND could finally claim the Treehouse above and reestablish a new Sector V.
And from there, the Teen AU starts.

Tumblr media
HUGE SPOILER WARNING FOR THE END OF THE GAME
DON´T READ IF YOU DON´T WANT TO GET SPOILED
Tumblr media
★・・・・・・★・・・・・・★・・・・・・★
Geppetto waited.
Waited for the battle to be over, he knew that he would succeed, and that soon, Carlo would be back, and things would be back to what they were.
When Carlo died, he felt as if he was being stabbed right in his chest, he fell to the ground, he could barely breathe, the world around him collapsed.
The ground above shaked, grounding Geppetto back to reality.
No, if he was going to reminisce about Carlo, it should be happy memories, the good times.
Holding him when he was born.
His first word.
When he learned to read, to write.
When he first went to school.
How he got in trouble at school…
Carlo´s teachers would call, to tell him to reprimand the boy, yet no matter how much he scolded him or how he grounded him, he just wouldn't listen.
Geppetto knew what Carlo wanted, attention, as an old man he regretted not being able to spend much time with his son back then. Carlo had no friends at school, partly due to his behavior, partly due to jealousy towards him.
His son was the world to him, he gave him everything he wanted and more, it was easy for him to make him a new friend.
Romeo.
They were thick as thieves, when he saw them play together, Carlo was truly happy.
He remembered the holidays they spent together as a family.
Christmas was always special, it was more consistent, he always had time for Christmas.
Carlo opened his presents with Romeo, he was smiling. Him and Carlo would fall asleep on the living room couch together.
The earth rumbled again, the combat above getting more fierce.
Geppetto never liked violence, although he understood why in circumstances like this it was justified.
Justified.
Like when Carlo got into a fight as a teen and broke a classmate's nose, but he was the one that started it, he was making fun of Carlo, it only made sense for Carlo to get mad and boys would be boys sometimes things got out of hand.
Carlo´s behavior got worse after that.
More fights.
He stole things.
Constantly pranked other students.
He almost got expelled, but Geppetto begged the school not to. He had excellent grades, to please just let him graduate the year.
Graduation.
Why didn't I attend his graduation?
“You don't care about me, you never have, you only care about your god damn job!”
Another dagger to his chest.
After that things only got worse, he saw Carlo less and less, and he got into trouble more.
And then…
And then…
And then he died.
Every time he remembered Carlo he would only focus on the happy times, those rose-tinted glasses were his truth. But now looking back, he sees the real truth.
Geppetto was a bad father.
Still is.
All this time, he had just been using Pinocchio.
No.
This was necessary.
Pinocchio was their only hope, and he succeeded.
He stopped the puppet frenzy, he helped make a cure for the petrification disease, he is just now protecting everyone, defeating Simon in his evil ways.
He had accomplished so much.
So why?
Why wasn't it enough for him?
… Because he wasn't Carlo.
A scream was heard in the walls of the tower, Simon had been defeated.
Simon would perish no doubt and it should stay that way.
Suddenly another memory is brought back, a recent one, at the hotel, talking with Lady Antonia not long after Pinocchio had rescued him from that stalker.
“Geppetto the dead out of remain so”
He was mad, granted, she told him in advance that the conversation wouldn't be a pleasant one, but he hadn't expected her to bring Carlo into this.
“Dear you have to move on, everyone dies, everything eventually dies, let his soul be at peace, not only for your sake but for the sake of Carlo as well.”
He simply walked away.
Snapping back to reality, he glanced at the box next to him.
The box where Carlo´s ergo, his very soul laid on, on his first try, on a puppet. When he first awoke he felt anger, hatred, Carlo attacked him, his own ergo wasn't enough, he needed more. That was the source of his anger, Carlo would never hurt his father, he loved his father and Geppetto loved his son.
“If you love him let him go”
Lady Antonia´s voice words echoed in his heart.
He was selfish.
A hypocrite.
How dare he criticize Simon for seeking immortality, when he was seeking to bring back his dead son.
The sound of the wires and gears now echoed through the walls, Pinocchio was descending.
He could finally have Carlo back.
He would see his precious son again.
Pinocchio just needed to give him his heart.
… But if he gave his heart away, he would die, he no longer would be Pinocchio.
Geppetto bit his lip.
The elevator kept descending.
This is it
You can do the right thing.
Fix all of your mistakes.
Be a good father to your son.
Geppetto opened the box.
He grabbed the small heart that rested in the Nameless puppet
A faint blue glow resonated, the ergo upon him.
Carlo´s very essence trying to speak to him.
Geppetto closed his eyes, tears ran down his face, as he crushed the heart his his bare hands, dropping the broken heart onto the floor.
He opened his eyes once more, he saw the ergo float in the air, it lay on his hands for a few seconds, seconds that were a painful eternity to Geppetto, then the ergo dispersed into thin air, finally, it was over.
Carlo was at peace now.
The elevator arrived at the destination, Geppetto quickly turned around to see the doors open, Pinocchio, alongside Gemini stepped outside, approaching him, until they were both face to face.
Pinocchio´s clothes were ripped apart, he could see his damaged body, one of his arms surely about to fall if a few more screws were loose, he looked tired, defeated even, despite his victory.
“Are you alright?” Geppetto asked, putting his hands on Pinocchio´s shoulders.
“Yes, father.”
That was a lie.
More tears fell out of Geppettos´s eyes.
He pulled Pinocchio into an embrace. Hugging him tightly.
“Pinocchio, my son, I´m just glad you are alive”
Pinocchio held his arms around him as well, both now embracing each other.
“I´m sorry”
“I´m sorry I've been neglecting you”
Pinocchio clung onto him more tightly, desperately not wanting to let go.
“I love you Pinocchio, I love you, the real you, not who I wanted you to be.”
In Pinocchio´s eyes, small tears had begun to shed.
“I´m proud of you, my good boy.”
They both felt warmth.

The idea of Emo Teen Jean Vicquemare lives rent-free in my head
[It comes from @slonechnik 's DE AU where Harry's still a gym teacher and Kim has to go undercover as one of Harry's new students, for an RCM case. JV's 15, so Kim's 24 and Harry's 25]
It's so fucking funny picturing Jean V. trying to talk to Undercover Cop Kim. I'm gonna strive to make JV such a cringy loser. BTW, I think emo kids are cool, but not Jean lmao.
Anyways, here's a list of JV emo teen headcanons (below the cut):
- Nicknames himself “The Dark Mare”, based on his surname Vicquemare (reference to in-game Narrator's incorrect pronunciation of his French surname)
- No one used to respect Jean or call him by his preferred ‘title’, calling him “Jelly Boy” instead. That is, until the Hex incident happened. Jean finds that any student using his actual name, ‘Jean’, is disrespectful; unless he gives them exclusive permission, then that means he really likes that person. He also loathes being called by his initials and all of Harry's nicknames for him (e.g. Mean Vicky, J.V., Emo emo emo, King Void.)
- If Jean is late for gym class, Harry will jokingly and loudly mimick an alarm that goes, "Emo emo emo" to announce the teen's arrival. Jean a.k.a The Dark Mare obviously hates this. In Harry's defense, HDB does this specific alarm thing for all the regular latecomers. Every student has their unique, mocking call.
- JV hates Harry with a burning passion, despite the man genuinely wanting to support him. JV also does everything to weasel out of group sports.
- When he was 13, he used to get bullied and shoved in lockers a lot. So he has learnt how to pick locks from the inside and outside.
- He has also stabbed his bullies with a sharpened metal fork before, to the point where he made them bleed. Thrice. Harry helped him to prevent JV from getting expelled. Jean did bite his bullies several times, and has bitten Harry before. Harry laughed it off and said, “Son, you can bite me anytime if it helps you relieve stress. You have my permission, I don’t mind”. Which appalled Jean, so he doesn’t bite Harry anymore.
- This is the Hex incident. One day, Cuno's uncle (Kubo) stole Jean's diary and tried to read it out loud to everyone, but J.V. used big words Kubo doesn’t understand, so only part of JV’s secrets got out. J.V. got mocked severely, and Kubo + his gang of idiots ripped JV’s diary into several pieces. Jean yelled that he’d curse them all.
The next day, Kubo got into a car accident, which resulted in him never being able to play football again. Someone’s parents divorced. The gang proceeded to lose at football against the girls' team three times in a row. They begged Harry to talk to J.V. so he did. After much of Harry’s pestering, J.V. reveals that his curses didn’t actually work since curses are specific and they didn’t do what Jean commanded. Jean refused to tell Harry his secrets and said he just wanted everyone to leave him alone. And so, a deal was struck, and everyone stopped being mean to Jean, but people avoided him a ton. Rumours did spread, so many students really did believe that if they upset Jean, they’d be cursed.
- Jean actually has great parents and an ideal emotional support system outside of school lmao. Loser.
- Does actually get decent grades in school. He advanced two years in education
- makes his own emo music and song lyrics. Gave up on his music dreams after studying Literature and Music in community college, when he realised that being an outsider musician won't support himself financially. At age 21, he became a cop and joined the RCM at the same time as Harry (HAHAHAAHAHA)
- Has a lil gay baby crush on Kim but would never admit it to himself. He's also terrible at hiding it. Kim is the only ‘student’ he'd allow to call him by his real name.
- Secretly loves disco music but pretends to hate it. Will subconsciously bob his head up and down to disco music slightly if it plays for long enough.
- Has two pet cats he adores and drops the emo/cool guy facade for. JV pretends and boasts to everyone that he actually wants a pet snake instead, but he's a fuxking LIAR
- Has a chronic need and desire to seem 'cool' whenever people are around(except his family)

Part 16
Warnings: Teen Suggestions
School starts back after New Years like clockwork. Campus is a mix of Valentine’s Day and countdown to Prom at Benedict. MJ is with Peter as she strides over to meet Riri. “Ooooh girl you look good! Loving the cropped hoodie! How was the rest of the break?” Riri turns to face MJ and responds to everything thrown her way. “Thank you friend, you look good too. The cropped hoodies came from Mami. She said they are me but they elevate my look. The rest of the break was good. I got to stay at Shuri’s place from Christmas until today.”
MJ shakes her head. “Mmmm y’all nasty. I hope you kept it PG.” Blushing hard, Riri rolls her eyes to play off her expression. After the night before Christmas Eve the girls did their best to stop “making out” to try and take pressure off. But one thing led to another and it failed horribly. Rohan ended up interrupting them the one time Shuri was going to go for it. “Nothing has happened past some very hard to hide hickeys.”
MJ laughs and Riri is not as amused. “Awww. Girlfriend keeps saying no huh?” Peter senses it’s time to leave the conversation so he excused himself. “She keeps overthinking it and I feel like an animal anytime she’s near me. This is the one thing she needs me to be patient with her on so I’m trying.”
MJ holds back this time trying to empathize. “Friend, you just need to stop thinking. There is too much anticipation; you have to let it happen.” Riri huffs as they walk to class. Shuri is preparing for the first game of the season so she will only be able to be in classes today. All her free time will be at the gym or with the trainer. “M this test of my control. I am going to respect it but it is hard.” MJ hugs her. “You better keep taking cold showers.”
Riri gets to Chemistry and has a seat at her lab bench. Dr Stevens comes into class with a happy expression. “Good Morning! Exams for the last chapter exceeded expectations. I’m proud. With the basketball team out today we will randomize lab partners.” People get up and move around the room quickly finding a new match for the class work. A DeShawn Dalton sits down next to Riri and he is quiet but it works for Ri. She is flying through the Organic Chemistry problem set with DeShawn just looming. Unbeknownst to her, this is Xavier’s cousin.
He is brooding and hard to read. His energy is calculated and there is no telling what he is feeling. Xavier was expelled after his several fake accounts were uncovered including the Elena page. Many people went down with him because he snitched. DeShawn is staring at Riri making her uncomfortable at best, ready to run at worst. The only gaze she can stand for this long is Shuri’s.
“Is everything ok? What are you looking at?” Riri speaks as her head is down, focused on the work. With a somewhat sinister grin DeShawn quips. “Naw shorty nothing is wrong. I’m just trying to understand how you are for the girls? I know ole girl not handling you right.” Riri’s defenses are up. “I’m taken care of.” Shawn is quiet now but he shakes his head. Class ends and Riri rushes off.
What was that? It’s Friday and she refuses to be bothered anymore. Her sex life would have never been a thing had she stayed shy so why let it bother her now. But the thought that someone can see she’s inexperienced is crazy. Or so her mind tells her. She needs to see Shuri even if it’s just on the court. She heads to catch the lunchtime pick up game.
Al and Shuri are talking on their way to the tunnel “Shuri! Yo that Christmas party at your girl’s house was nice that food was on point. Thanks for the invite.” Shuri daps up Al. “It was my honor. They told me to invite a friend and all I got is you for real.” “Listen to you being sentimental. But no, I bet Ri rewarded you for that gift you gave her. Plus y’all been playing house.” Al smirks with a side eye. Shuri drops her head. Al is confused. “Al that girl is my heart, it's not even like that.” “It’s not like what? Don’t tell she’s still making you wait on it. Are you out here taking cold showers?” “Truthfully, it’s not her, it's me A. I've got this dumbass mental block since Elena.”
Allison hears her out. “Time out, what do you mean a mental block? I hope you are not thinking of Elena with Riri.” “Woah woah never thinking of Elena. I just hold back because when I was with Elena I hurt her. I didn’t know what I was doing and it caused an issue down there for her. That was an embarrassing conversation to have with her Dad.”
Al shakes her head. “So ever since you've been keeping it PG?” “Well pretty much, the hook ups I had after E have been random so I didn’t entertain the idea. I have studied some things to do and how to be safe. But no practice.” “You would never hurt anyone on purpose Bro. I think that may need to be what you think about.”
“Al when did you get wise? That actually helps.” “Sometimes talking about the actual problem does help. I know you so I know you never told Ri.” Shuri tucks in her shirt to her shorts exiting to the court. “No but I did say I was nervous, so half truth.” They run out on the court and Shuri sees Riri in the sideline seats. She runs over for a small peck on the lips before she starts the game.
Riri was instantly at ease with the day. They cut the game short so they can stay fresh for tonight. Riri walks with Shuri back to the Main for a little quality time before the end of the day. They walk with their fingers laced holding hands and all the players are saying what’s up to Riri. Al is excited to see her.
“Yooooo what’s up Sis? Missing ya Daddy?” Al laughs, referencing Shuri’s phone contact “I’m glad to see you today finally.” “Thanks Al and yes I missed her ass. Tonight is taking forever.” “Yes I can’t wait either, the home opener is always the sign of good luck if we win. Or bad if we lose but you know.” Riri laughs. “It’s going to be a win, just say that.”
It is the night of finally and Shuri is pacing the floor of her walk-in closet trying to find her tunnel fit. Riri’s voice is on the speaker phone as she is cooking Shuri’s fav Friday night meal. They went home after school to get ready and she will stay the night at Riri’s tonight. “Baby just wear something comfy you have the new Nike Tech.” “No Baby I have the new Adidas contract. My branded stuff will be here next week. Plus we will be on tv for this opener, it’s local but still. So I want to look good.” Riri giggles and Shuri is in her picky mode. It only comes out when she is either tired or stressed. Shuri then walks past the suit. That’s it! The perfect tunnel fit tailored suit, some fly kicks, her gold chain and grill. “Baby I found it!” “Oooh let me see.” Shuri FaceTimes Riri with her sports bra and bottoms on but low in her hips.
“Baby I didn’t mean…” Riri gets distracted. “I know you didn’t but I’m yours so you can do as you please.” The double meaning in that made Riri’s heart race. “Trust I will have to see about that later.” Riri bites her bottom lip and allows the show of getting dressed to continue. Shuri decided that she has to think like the Panther when it comes to this topic. So she will from now on.

So Umbre...This is gonna be long. Sorry lmao
We'll start from the beginning: Umbre is the child of Umeiri Aubre and Faelan Taebre. The wolf demon kingdom, despite having a ruler, was at the time separated into warring clans, and Faelan was a warrior in a clan who raided Umeiri's. Most of her clanmates were killed and Umeiri was taken as a trophy due to her unusually petite size. Before long, Umeiri was with child, and when she found out she killed Faelan in his sleep and fled the realm, settling in Ashvenaer.
It was here that she met Emerson Ishnabi, ruler of the Ishnabi kingdom and new widower. Emerson was struggling with his young son, and Umeiri had a very stern mannerism that he quickly deferred to. Relieved to see his son behaving, Emerson begged Umeiri to come live at the palace as a nanny. Several weeks pregnant and with no other prospects, she agreed. The close proximity bred familiarity which bred affection. Shortly after Umbre was born, Emerson proposed to Umeiri, and she accepted; after all, why would she say no to having the most influential man in the realm be her child's father?
Taken in as an Ishnabi, Meylian Umbre was afforded every luxury and advantage in life. They had the finest tutors, the finest food, the finest clothes. They were taught to wield fire magic and they discovered their roots as a shapeshifter. But they were always aware that they were different. Southern Ashvenaer is not kind to foreigners and despite their adoption Umbre and Umeiri were always foreign. Umbre was mercilessly bullied and mocked by the other noble children, leading Kehkna to step in as their protector. Kehkna was likewise whispered about by the nobility due to rumors that his mother was Sandit, an ethnic group of dog demons expelled from the Ishnabi kingdom. The two became inseparable; wherever you found Kehkna, you found Umbre.
Their closeness proved important when Umeiri suffered a mental health crisis and fled the realm, fearing for her safety. Emerson sent plenty of envoys to search for her, but she was never found. Left to be a single father, Emerson was perhaps too aware of his position. Rather than embracing young Umbre's difference he began to quietly try and mold them into being more socially acceptable. Despite their love for him, it drove a wedge between them in their teen years. In private, Kehkna tried to encourage Umbre to rebel and be themselves, but they were afraid of disappointing their father.
When Umbre was 19, Emerson was killed by an assassin, and Kehkna was forced to step up into the role of King. This left little time for him to protect his younger sibling and, feeling outcasted, Umbre left the realm like their mother. After months of travel they settled in the human realm (our world) and was able to adapt to life as just a slightly weird human and attend college. Though they took a slight break to have two children (Ashe and Michichi), they did eventually enroll in medical school, and was in the process of studying for exams when the council came.
The Demonaian Council came in search of their Demon Lord, who they had been told would be in this realm. They arrived entirely unannounced into Umbre's house through a portal, quickly determined Umbre was in fact who they were looking for, and without ceremony dragged them away to the demonaian realm to serve. This came with a steep learning curve. Despite being conceived in the demonaian realm, Umbre knew nothing of the culture or the expectations of the Demon Lord. They were pushed, pulled, primed, and groomed for years before their debut, largely schooled by the eldest council member, Preir. Their first official appearance and meeting with the deristian lord were absolutely disastrous, but the council refused to let Umbre give up. Not just the leader of the Demonaian Empire, the Demon Lord serves as a symbol of unity, which the demons were severely lacking in the aftermath of the previous lord's rule. Eventually they did learn how to behave, and even began to assume authority, and thus Umbre settled into the role of Demon Lord.
This is really where the meat of their story begins.
See, the previous demon lord, Seil We, was a horrible person. Pure evil even. And his spirit was extremely powerful. Like a curse, it wandered the demonaian realm, fueled by resentment, feeding on despair. And necromancy isn't an uncommon skill amongst demons (Umbre themselves is a necromancer. If they couldn't be a doctor...), but an untrained necromancer is easily subject to possession.
Emerson's assassin was actually a necromancer friend of his named Terahk, who had picked up a bad spirit. Struggling against it and fleeing the aftermath of his crime, Terahk had made his way through several realms. But Terahk was very weak. In each world he stopped in, he picked up another malevolent spirit, and his own spirit waned. By the time he reached the demonaian realm he had lost all control. So when this amalgam of spirits encountered Seil We, their negative energy pulled them to each other, and Seil We overtook Terahk as the primary spirit in the vessel.
For years Terahk moved slowly through the realm, spreading chaos and absorbing more minor evil spirits, until he became not a person but an entity known collectively as the Don. Eventually the Don became big enough that it started terrorizing cities, and it set its sights on the center of power in the empire: the demon lord's palace. Umbre deployed all of the capitol's defenses against it but the dark magic power was too strong. With the palace in ruins, Cameron down, countless guards dead, Umbre makes one final attempt to defeat the Don by calling upon their powers of necromancy, deciding to fight an amalgam of spirits with other spirits. Calling upon both the long and newly deceased, Umbre managed to strip and banish the malevolent spirits out of the Don one by one until only Terahk was left. Terahk revealed that he was the one who killed Emerson and apologized for it, and Umbre forgave him. Terahk was finally able to pass on, the Don was dissipated, and the capitol began the long journey to restoration. Umbre began going on outreach missions to different parts of the empire, lending their healing talents to the public.
About a hundred years later, another calamity struck. An irate conjurer and former Diyande Kuum revived an old curse, creating a magic which turned normal demons into aggressive hulking beasts. Slowly the curse began to hit kingdom after kingdom, sowing discord. The rulers on the council demanded help from the Demon Lord, but despite all their magic and healing talents, Umbre could not find an answer. With the lands fracturing under the weight of the curse, Umbre made the decision that they could not continue to serve the demonaian lands in the way they needed in their capacity as Demon Lord. They called a council meeting and officially dissolved the empire, begging the rulers to please return home and take care of their people as only they could. Leaving behind the mantle of the Demon Lord, Umbre cut their hair and abandoned their royal clothes and they and Cameron left to travel around the realm studying the curse up close.
In their travels they met Briton, the deristian lord, who had likewise abdicated his position to investigate the curse. The three of them met and examined many of the infected, and were confused by what they found: the creatures weren't inherently aggressive, and despite some trouble communicating they seemed to be in full possession of their mental faculties and their memories. When left alone, they wanted nothing more than to live their lives as they had been. Seeking answers, Umbre made the decision to visit the Mountain Witch Tuyet, keeper of the old records.
A year passed as Umbre read every Old Demonaian book Tuyet possessed. Briton likewise made his way through any deristian tomes in her library. There wasn't a clear cut answer in any of the books alone, but when consolidating their notes they began to form a picture of what had occurred. This was not a curse that turned demons into monsters. It was a spell that returned them to the way demons were made, the way Yzzbet had originally shaped them. The current form of demons was the result of years of magic intervention and eugenics as the demons sought to emulate their deristian neighbors. Knowing this, Umbre could not in good faith agree with the creatures being contained or even cured, but they did know that the conjurer responsible needed to be stopped before they summoned deadlier things.
Upon leaving Tuyet's protected mountain, Umbre's party were set upon by a pack of the creatures, made of demons who had forsaken their bond to the demon lord and sworn allegiance to the conjurer. Though Cameron and Briton managed to fight most of them off, Umbre was captured by the surviving two and carried away to the conjurer's base.
Damaged by her treatment at the hands of the Diyande Kuum, the conjurer sought to punish the Demon Lord and the culture that encouraged and sanctioned her abuse. She revealed she had chosen this particular curse to show the demonaian people "who they really [are]: monsters." Umbre tried to reason with her but was tortured for their attempts. Cameron and Briton arrived to rescue them, and after a long fight against her creatures and her many illusions, Cameron managed to kill the conjurer.
Reacquainted with his mortality, Briton bid goodbye to Umbre and Cameron to return to his kingdom and be with his wife. Umbre and Cameron returned to the palace, which had been converted into a functioning hospital in their absence. The intent was to simply retrieve their things and leave again; Umbre back to Ashvenaer and Cameron to his demokka and children. But when Umbre stepped into the old council hall they were greeted by the assembled council. Headed by Therin, council explained to Umbre that what they represented was greater than the sum of the empire; the people and the rulers both relied on Umbre's temperance and guidance. The defunct council begged Umbre to assume the title of Demon Lord again as a spiritual advisor rather than the head of the empire, and they accepted.
Now Umbre lives in the High Priestess' tower overlooking the city and they are free to come and go as they please. They are finally free to pursue a romantic and social life and is currently fumbling their way through that. Cameron remains their best friend, but is no longer their protector and doesn't consider himself to be Diyande Kuum anymore.

If y'all are curious, here's my writing after like not writing for years
No I won't be adding this to my masterlist as I don't plan on continuing it
And if you read this on my Wattpad no you didn't
🌕
The smell of earl grey and biscuits filled the room as (name) typed away at his laptop, the day just starting and he refused to waste even a moment of time planning his boss' week.
(Name) was efficient, he prided himself on it, he had to be if he was going to be the esteemed principle of U.A's assistant after all. Orientation was currently taking place--hell it probably ended and he would be none the wiser.
He didn't even notice the door open before a light cough and sniffle alerted him to another living being in the room before looking up then down to see a short young man purple balls for hair sobbing before his desk.
"Is there something I can assist you with? Principle Nedzu won't be in for at least another 45 minutes, would you like me to take a message?" (Name) stated as he looked at the clock on the wall, keeping calm and collected as the grape haired boy cried out "A-aizawa expelled me! I want to talk to someone! I worked my whole life for this, he cant just expell someone on their first day!" Stomping his foot like an insolent child would, the teen expected sympathy or at least pity but he didn't expect a dead stare.
"Only one? Im quite shocked really, usually he expels at least three or four students, he likes to weed out those he deems not worthy of being in the class." The (Hair coloured) man said in a bored tone, having been used to this year after year from the underground hero and given permission to handle such matters from his boss as to not waste his time on "trivial human matters" as the stout claimed it to be. "I apologize but Aizawa can expel whomever he desires as the Nedzu has given the teachers the right to do so, though most teachers just give detentions or at worst house arrest in the dorms, thank you for bringing this to my attention as I will make sure to remove you from the student registry" his words baring zero sympathy as he continued "please leave your student I.D at security and don't worry I will be sure to inform them of your departure, I wish you the best in your future endeavours" (name) didn't spare the boy a glance as he already began filing out the necessary things to remove him from the student registry, the young man whom he learned is named Mineta left the room crying harder than when he arrived.
He wasn't hired to dally after all.
(Name) was 21 when he somehow managed to get this job, now the spry age of 27 he was used to the workings of the school and slowly became Nedzu's confidant and most trusted employee. (Name) grew to look up the the stout as a mentor and friend and was incredibly honoured that the being trusted him greatly as the commission had tried on numerous occasions to recruit him to spy on the principle and every time (name) reported these attempts to his boss without hesitation, not caring for the bribes they attached as his loyalty never wavered.
It wasn't long till he received a reminder that lunch had rolled around, assuming his boss had other business to attend to (name) rose to his feet, groaning as his bones cracked from sitting for a few hours and began walking out of the room and towards the teachers lounge.
Students had already began to return home or to the dorms and older students greeted him respectfully and he returned the gesture, finally make it to his destination, stomach growling in protest. He was rather unsurprised that teachers sat at their cubicle like desks, some eating while chatting with coworkers and some working on last minute class plans for the upcoming week.
Cementoss saw him first and waved quietly as he waved back, gaining the attention of the others in the room, including a sentient yellow sleeping bag. "HEEEEEYYY (NAME)! How are you doing!" Present mic yelled out, wrapping his arm around the quiet assistant who sadly (not really) got payed enough to deal with the banana mans quirk constantly popping his ear drums. "I'm doing alright, had to deal with a crying student--well former student before coming here, Mr. Aizawas latest victim" he joked softly, paying no mind as midnight wrapped an arm around his other shoulder "poor (name) constantly having to deal with Aizawas aftermath! Have you no heart Shou!" She yelled out with mock sadness as the black haired man rolled his eyes at her words and returned back to sleep, knowing fully well that (Name) in fact did not mind.
You see, the two had secretly been dating for quits sometime, roughly since the beginning of Aizawas teaching career, amazingly enough keeping it a secret from everyone save for Nedzu who had to know for legal reasons and because he had caught them sneaking a kiss from the security feed.
"It's not a problem really, I cant explain it but the student gave off not right energy and I don't think it would have been best to keep him here--that's my personal opinion of course".
Quickly he grabbed his lunch before leaving the room, sparing a glance at the sleeping man before bolting out.
The staff at U.A had accepted that (name) was a quite man, paying zero mind to his antics, knowing he means no ill by it, having had the time to grow used to it.
One on one, he made excellent conversation but with all the teachers in a room...it could be rather overwhelming.
But oh well, at least he had his food.

Chapter Thirteen: January 30th
Tumblr media
Summary: Beauxbaton’s biggest prankster has finally been expelled from the French boarding school. Having limited choices, Iris Evans is sent to join her sister at Hogwarts. As she adjusts to the new scenery, Lily’s twin makes new friends with a different array of people. Though there was no doubt that she would become friends with the Marauders.

DAYS AT HOGWARTS FLEW BY QUITE QUICKLY for Iris Evans. To her, it only felt like yesterday that she and her friends were all at her house enjoying New Years together. Yet, she could barely believe that the school year was almost halfway done. Though that only meant that summer was even closer than before. Soon enough, she wouldn't have to worry about classes, exams or serving detention. It would be nothing but spending time cooking up pranks and tricks in her room while most likely visiting Matilda and Ida in France.
However, she had yet to realize that it was the thirtieth of January. She was far too tired to even register the fact that she had put her vest on backwards and barely remembered how to tie her tie than to remember the date. She muttered and grumbled under her breath while trying to get herself ready. If she wasn't so absorbed in trying to get herself ready properly and her mind was less foggy from having just woken up, she would have remembered that it was her birthday.
Yes, it was that time of the year. Both Iris and Lily were finally a year older than they were before, sixteen to be exact. They were getting closer to becoming adults. Which is something that Iris wasn't looking forward to, completely. She'd finally get the freedom to do what she wanted when she wanted and with who. However, she would have to deal with the responsibilities that came with being an adult and she wasn't looking forward to that. It was well known that Iris doesn't do well with such things as responsibilities.
She yawned while snatching her school stuff and shoving it into her bag. The other girls had already gone downstairs once they finally got Iris up. Which left her to get ready by herself. She ran a hand through her knotted hair that she had yet to run a brush through as she trudged her way towards the stairs. She was completely tired from the night before.
Sirius and her had spent a longer time than usual in the common room. The arrogant teen had been extremely concerned for the redhead. She noticed that ever since they had gotten back from Christmas break, Sirius made it adamant that he never leave her side. He walked with her to class, ate every meal with her, followed her around the castle and spent an extended amount of time with her at night. She questioned him over and over about his… overprotectiveness but got no clear answer.
However, she wasn't necessarily complaining about the time they spent together… She did enjoy his company(which she didn't want to admit it out loud). It was just weird to her that he decided to become attached to her hip. Actually, over the past few weeks, all of her friends had seemed concerned for her. They stared at her most times like they were waiting for her to do or say something that she had no idea about. Just like Sirius, they didn't give her a clear answer for their behavior whenever she caught them staring.
She finally came down the bottom of the stairs and into the vibrantly colored common room after nearly falling down the steps due to her drowsy state. There were quite a few students mucking about by playing wizard chess or exploding snap while others gossiped with each other or whined about class. She saw that, like usual, Sirius was waiting to "escort" her down to the Great Hall for breakfast. The rest of the Marauders, Marlene and Wendy had already left while Lily stood in the middle of the common room. She also appeared to be waiting for her sister to come with them to breakfast.
"Took you long enough!" Sirius exclaimed once he saw the teenage girl. He jumped off of the velvety couch as Iris approached him and her sister.
Iris yawned, "sorry, I guess I'm just used to Lil's rigorous wake-up calls." Lily hadn't used the Aguamenti charm on her that morning, which was a surprise. That could be why she wasn't completely awake just yet. She wasn't greeted by the icy waters that would wake her up instantly as usual.
"Well, I thought that I would be nice today," Lily started to explain herself, "considering that today's our birthday."
Iris hummed though it seemed like she didn't truly hear what her sister had said. She nodded her head absentmindedly as she straightened out her uniform. "That's nice," she then lazily made her way towards the exit.
Sirius and Lily followed after her, "she didn't hear you, did she?"
Lily scoffed, "when does she ever?"
The pair followed after her and easily caught up to the redhead. Sirius swung his arm over her shoulder and pulled her into his side as the trio walked through corridors and down stairwells towards the Great Hall. They spoke to each other idly about classes and such. Though Lily was more so scolding both Sirius and Iris about studying for their exams as she knew both of them had barely even opened a single textbook.
The two trouble makers brushed her off while making empty promises about actually studying. They all soon came into the Great Hall and found the rest of their friends sitting at the table. Iris plopped herself next to Marlene and rested her head against the brunette's shoulder. Marlene didn't mind as she continued to munch on her breakfast.
"Mornin', Iris," Marlene said through her bites of bacon. The redhead hummed in reply as she lazily reached for some toast to eat.
"You seem like a ray of sunshine as usual," James comments with a snicker.
Iris rolls her eyes and grunted slightly but doesn't rebuttal him due to being too tired. She honestly was in no mood to tease or make any sarcastic remarks like she usually did. She was far too tired for that… she also just didn't feel well. There was a slight throbbing in the back of her skull that was slowly becoming bothersome. Iris knew that she would have to see about finding some sort of remedy for it at some point before it became too painful. She didn't even know where the headache had come from as she isn't usually a person to get migraines or headaches very often.
As Sirius and James started to complain about having to go to Defense against the dark arts class with the Slytherins, Lily and Wendy did their best to try and wake Iris up. They handed her plates of food to get her to eat and glasses of various drinks that she consumed at her normal, quick pace.
"So are you guys doing anything for today?" Wendy asked as she looked in between Iris and Lily.
Iris' eyebrows furrowed as she finished drowning herself with a cup of pumpkin juice. "Today? What's special about today?"
Marlene scoffed, "I would've thought that you would be singing all about today!"
Iris most certainly was the person who would scream and shout about her birthday. They could all see Iris being a person that would remind everyone constantly about her birthday. However, at that moment, it seemed like it was far to early in the morning for her to really start her yells.
They all shared a look which caused Iris to stare at them confused. "Seriously? What's special about today?"
Sirius chuckled at her confusion, "you've completely forgotten it, haven't you?"
Iris looked across at Lily who looked like she was thoroughly satisfied with something. "What is it? What did I forget this time?"
"You know," Lily started, "I never would have thought that you would have forgotten about something like this! I mean, you're always parading around telling everyone about our birthday. You never let anyone forget it being your birthday." She smirked, "oh, the irony."
Iris sat for a moment and let her sister's words wash over her mind. For a second, her thoughts were too hazy to truly comprehend her words. Though once she understood 'birthday' a large grin spread across her pale face. Mischief was sparked in her eyes which caused the girls to groan in unhappiness and the boys to yelp happily. The day was going to be wonderful.
---
Soon enough, breakfast ended and every student started to trudge their way around the castle to their classes. Iris was feeling slightly better and was able to sashay through the corridors without having to lean against one of her friends. She was far more awake than she was beforehand which could be due to the fact that she now knew it was her birthday.
How she forgot about it being her seventeenth birthday is unknown. However, that fact was completely forgotten about itself when Iris was back to her normal self and telling everyone and anyone that it was her birthday. She pranced down the corridors besides her friends with a skip in her step as she greeted everyone(except the Slytherins who sneered at her cheery attitude) with a large smile and a declaration of her birthday.
What was even better was that Iris was heading to her favorite class; Defense Against the Dark Arts. Sure, she would have to deal with the Slytherins while in class but the thought of getting to perform some new spells outweighed that fact.
She was never really sure why she loved DADA so much, she just did. Perhaps it was because many of the things that she learned during that class inspired her for new pranks and tricks. Also because she had a strange affinity to really understanding the Dark Arts and perform and defenses against them. Don't even get her started on all of the creatures that they learn about in that class as well!
It was surprising to think that Iris Evans actually looked forward to learning new things. It wasn't that she was against learning in its entirety. She just hated having to learn about things that she deemed useless. She despised History of Magic. What use was there to learn about the Troll Wars or the many different and pointless vampire treaties? It wasn't like she was going to need to know about it once she left school. And don't even get her started on Muggles studies.
She had taken that class in third year thinking that it was going to be an easy grade. How could it not be considering she was a muggle herself. However, it was completely the opposite. Her professor, at Beauxbatons, was completely stuck up and thought that he knew everything and anything about muggles. He wouldn't even allow anyone to correct him on things that were blatantly wrong. Apparently, not even her, a muggle-born, could possibly have known more about muggles than a pure-blood wizard who had never met a muggle in his life. Iris didn't like that class, at all!
It wasn't like she liked it the same way she disliked potions class. She excelled at potions and understood it perfectly. As she used the potions to create new ones that were meant for her newest pranks. However, she didn't enjoy it completely. She liked spells and what not a tad bit more than potions.
She plopped herself down in her seat next to Wendy and threw her school materials onto their desk. As she shifted through her belongings, there were many different pairs of eyes watching her every move. She could feel the cold, beady eyes burning into her entire body. At this point, she used to feeling eyes on her constantly as her friends tended to watch her like hawks. However, this time it, the eyes that were watching her were harsher than her friends. There was no feeling of concern in them at all. She could only feel hatred singing her skin with their stares.
Iris knew that they were from the Slytherins in the room. Who else would look at her with such malice? Though the real question was: Why? She knew that the Slytherins hate Gryffindors(and the feeling was mutual) with a fiery passion and they disliked Iris even more because she played pranks on them almost constantly. However, this was even stranger! She did get a few glares and whatnot from other Slytherins but today, every single Slytherin was staring at her. Whether it was a glare or not, they just wouldn't look away. She felt like some sort of freak show at a circus whose only purpose was to be stared at!
She did her best to brush them off though it was somewhat difficult. She just turned to Wendy to distract herself with some conversation. Iris really didn't care what they spoke about just as long as she could ignore their stares.
Not only were the Slytherins staring at her during DADA, but they were also staring at her while she walked through the corridors or in the Great Hall during lunch or even during the rest of her classes. Though she wouldn't let their strange behavior get her down. It was her birthday after all! She wouldn't let those snakes dampen her mood even a little bit.
---
The school day came to a slow, uneventful end. Tired students trudged through the halls after filling their stomachs at dinner. All of them were more than happy to just jump into bed and sleep for a week. At least it was Friday which meant they could sleep in the next morning and wind down over the weekend.
A group of Gryffindors were currently running about the common room. They were rearranging some furniture and placing some food that was stolen from the kitchens on tables. Students were buzzing around the room happily and getting ready for the small party.
They wanted to throw something for the twins seeing as it was Iris' first birthday spent at Hogwarts and whatnot. Wendy had set out on being in charge of nearly everything. She bossed around anyone and everyone who was willing to help(and those who weren't). The girl proved to everyone that she could be quite scary.
She directed people on what to do and how to do it. Wendy wanted to make sure that their small party went along smoothly. Which was why she had Marlene distracting the twins to the best of her ability. Last she knew, Marlene, Iris, and Lily were outside by the Black Lake. She was also certain that Iris had the idea of pushing Lily into the freezing water as a 'birthday surprise', as she had put it. Merlin, Wendy was praying that Iris wouldn't do that sort of thing to her on her birthday.
Wendy was currently instructing a few seventh-year Gryffindors to hang up some red and gold ribbons on the wall. She nodded her head in satisfaction at the sight of the banners and ribbons being put up properly. Though out of the corner of her eye, she was able to see the Marauders messing about as usual. She huffed and walked over to the group with a scowl.
She marched over to the boys and glared at them slightly, "you lot are no help!"
Sirius, James, and Peter were lounging on the couch in the common room. The only one who seemed to be helping out was Remus. He really was the most decent out of the group of four and Wendy admired that about him. Though she couldn't praise the teen for his help at the moment. She needs to get his best friends to help them as well.
"We're waiting for your command, Wen," James commented. The boys were tasked with getting the food from the kitchens and getting back without being caught and they had done just that. They had tried to help out some more only to be shouted at by Wendy for doing something wrong. So, not wanting to be shouted at again, the boys had sat themselves down to wait for further instructions.
Remus was the only one of the small group to take it upon himself to do another task. Though unlike the rest of the boys getting a scolding for "getting in the way", Remus was left alone to do what he saw fit. That may be due to Remus actually being someone who had the capacity to do things "correctly", in Wendy's eyes. Also because Remus was a guy who could accept some sort of responsibility without mucking about and making a game out of that task.
Wendy huffed, "well, listen good, boys!" She straightened herself when someone ran past and finished up some work for the party. "I need you two-" she pointed at Sirius and James who stared at her ready to finally do something. "-to go find Iris, Lily, and Marlene. Peter," the chubby boy jumped at the mention of his name. "You go get the presents and put them over there." She pointed to a table that already had a few assortments of boxes and bags on it.
The boys all abruptly stood up and saluted her mockingly, "yes ma'am!"
With that, they all headed off to do their tasks. Peter scurried over to find some more presents meant for Lily and Iris. James and Sirius dashed out of the common room and joked their entire journey through the corridors of the castle in search of their lady loves.
---
The sun beating down on the grounds of Hogwarts and make outside warm enough where most of the snow had melted away. The only remanence of the winter season was the sweating icicles that clung to the tall branches on the trees that lined the Black Lake. The lake itself was calm, unfrozen, and, Iris would imagine, beyond freezing. Which most likely explained why the sound of wild splashing and joyous laughter mingled together.
Iris clutched her stomach tightened as she tried to keep herself from falling onto the ground in pure enjoyment. Marlene also couldn't stop the giggles that escaped her lips. The object of their entertainment sputter and pant as she flailed around in the water. She glared at her sister and friend harshly as her body started to shake from the cold waters of the Black Lake.
The mischievous redhead had graciously decided to permit Lily to go for a little swim with the sole intent to entertain herself. Lily did her best to quickly get out of the water by swimming as fast as she could. She pulled herself out of the frigid water and did her best to wrap her arms around herself to create some sort of warmth.
"I-I… hate you!" Lily stuttered out through her chattering teeth.
Her sister and friend only continued to laugh, "oh, that was brilliant! You should have seen your face!" Iris shouted out as she leaned on the giggling Marlene to stay upright. Eventually, the two fell to the ground in laughter when they couldn't keep themselves up.
Lily growled at them as she rung her long red hair out of all the water. She should have suspected something like this happening when Iris suggested that they go down to the Black Lake. At first, Lily didn't think too much of it. However, when Iris had forced her to get closer to the lake's edge to 'get a better look at the water', Lily figured something was up. She should have seen it coming! Though now she was paying the price of not noticing the glint of mischief in the brown eyes of her sister. Now, she was soaked and cold!
This was the scene that James and Sirius walked up to see. With Lily shivering in soaked clothes and Iris and Marlene laughing hysterically, the boys couldn't help themselves but chuckle lightly at the scene. The two of them sauntered over to the trio lazily and came to stand behind the giggle girls.
"You three seem to be having a fun time," James commented.
Lily turned her glare onto the annoying teen who only smirked at her unfortunate situation. She rolled her eyes with annoyance clear in her voice, "what do you want, Potter?"
"We've come to get you," Sirius declared as he walked over to Iris and swung his arm over her shoulder like usual.
"Get us?" Iris questioned once she recovered from her fits of giggles. "What for?"
Sirius smirked, "you'll find out if you come back to the common room with us."
Iris raised an eyebrow and glanced at Lily who was swatting away James' wand as he tried to use a hot-air charm on her to dry her off. "Do you know what it's about?"
Lily shook her head while rolling her eyes at James' actions, "probably some party for our birthday."
"Ah," The older redhead turned up to Sirius and smirked, "guess we should head to the party then!"
With that said, Iris slipped out from underneath Sirius' arm and grabbed it instead. She started to pull him towards the castle as Marlene, Lily and James followed after. The cold wind swayed the damp grass and snowy tree branches as footfalls crunch the fallen leaves resting on the ground. As the two troublemakers ran ahead of their friends, Sirius' bark of a laugh drifted through the air and mingled happily with Iris' own joyous laughter.
---
Students laughed as they enjoyed each other's company in the brightly colored common room. The party that had been thrown for the twins was a complete success! Iris and Lily received quite a few gifts from friends that they enjoyed. Everyone gorged themselves on the food from the kitchens, played different games, and, overall, relaxed from the busy school week.
Iris appreciated the party greatly. Lily had been forcing her to go to the library and study until she couldn't see straight. Her twin had been going crazy with the fact that they had the O.W.L. to study for. She loved Lily dearly, however, she was really regretting going to school with her.
O.W.L.s were an important part of their school career and determined your standings in school and the classes you had to take for the next two years. Yet, Iris couldn't imagine what Lily would be like when the N.E.W.T.s came around in their seventh year. She had a feeling that Lily would keep her awake every day for months leading up to those tests. Merlin, Iris was sure that Lily had started to study for the N.E.W.T.s now.
But she didn't let herself focus on her sister's rigorous study habits for long. Instead, she listened to Wendy as she retold a story from her childhood.
"She had to be the most stuck up woman I have ever met," Wendy said. "I don't know how Uncle Ian put up with her." At the moment, Wendy was telling a story about her Aunt Delores. The woman sounded like a right old misery. The old witch sounded completely mad. And not in a good way.
As Wendy was finishing up telling a story of her mad aunt and the heated argument that she had with Wendy's mother a few years ago, there was a knock at the portrait.
People only paused at the noise for a moment but brushed it off after only a few milliseconds. They weren't sure who it was and were too immersed in their games and conversations to be pulled away by a knock at the door.
There was a knock once again. This time it was a tad bit more urgent and heavy. Iris rolled her eyes. She had a feeling that whoever was on the other side of the portrait hole wanted to get in as quickly as possible. She tore herself away from the couch that she shared with Lily and Marlene and sashayed towards the portrait hole. The annoying knocking continued to hit against the entrance to the common room.
"Alright, alright. Calm down!" She opened the door and was fully prepared to see a scared ikle-first year stuck outside after forgetting the password to the portrait. Though she most certainly wasn't expecting, or happy, to see the slimy-skinned Slytherin who had been acting completely strange since the beginning of the year.
Iris scowled at the boy who stood playing with the ends of his sleeves. "You shouldn't be here," she stated coldly.
Severus flinched at her frigid voice. "I-I just wanted to wish you and Lily a happy birthday-" he pulled out two vials(nearly identical to the ones he gave them at Christmas) from his pockets, "-and give you your gifts." He tried to flash her the most normal and reassuring smile he could muster. Though it did look a tad bit forced.
The redhead eyed the vials that he held out to her with a blank expression. She clicked her tongue unimpressed, "like we want your gifts." She knew that there was something wrong with the perfumes that Severus had been giving them. The migraines that she seemingly got since she had used it were completely suspicious. They have gotten better, however, ever once in a while she would get this itching sensation in the back of her head that drove her mad! She knew something was going on with Severus and the perfumes that he was giving her. She wasn't sure if Lily was suffering the same symptoms, but she could only hope that she wasn't.
Just as Severus was going to try and plead his case to her, a few others came over to see what the commotion was. When Iris hadn't come back to her seat on the couch to hear the rest of Wendy's riveting story about her delusional Aunt Delores, her friends were growing suspicious of her departure. So, as usual, Sirius decided to take it upon himself to go get her. He shouldn't have let her out of his sight, really. He's been all about making sure that his slimy, little brother doesn't get anywhere near his beloved redhead. Yet he just let her wander off towards the portrait hole on her own. He should have known better.
Seeing that Sirius had grown slightly worried about Iris, James tagged along as well. He wasn't gaining much attention from his own beautiful redhead who still continued to ignore him. So he decided to see where Iris had gone.
The moment Sirius and James came to the portrait hole and laid eyes on the black-haired Slytherin who had been the target of the Marauders pranks ever since they were in the first year, their eyes narrowed. Both of the boys came to stand on either side of Iris who was still glaring at the boy in front of her harshly and didn't bat an eye in their direction when she felt their presence behind her.
Severus gulped at their appearance and realized that his plan had gotten even harder than before. He would have tried to convince Iris to take the vials. Severus knew that the girl would have put up a fight and refused to take the vials, but he could have tried to wear her down slowly. Maybe he could have even approached Lily and tried to get her to sympathize with him… Even though she shouldn't seeing as his plans were far more nefarious than Lily would have ever thought. However, now with Sirius Black and James Potter by her side, she would outright throw him out in the corridor and ignore his pleas completely. He needed to get her to take this perfume! If she didn't take it who knows what would happen to him! Regulus and Lucius would be furious with him and no doubt curse him for not finishing the job… Merlin, things were getting more complicated for him, it seemed.
"Problem, love?" Sirius' cool voice asked as his steely glare pinned Severus into his spot.
"No," Iris said bluntly as she didn't pull her chocolate eyes from Severus' squirming form, "Severus was going."
Severus stuttered on his words as they got stuck in his throat. "I-Iris, please, I just want to-"
Iris' cheeks started to glow a bright ruby color as she bristled, "just get out, Snape!" Venom dripped from her lips as her eyes stabbed Severus' chest. "Nobody wants a snake hanging around here."
Severus shook at her words. He knew that Iris had the capability of being scary and intimidating as he had seen her do it to other people. However, he never imagined that he would be on the receiving end of her wrath. Yet he knew that he deserved it. Whether she knew it or not… He most certainly deserved her fury
"I don't want to cause trouble-"
James laughed, "if you didn't want to cause trouble, then you wouldn't be here, Snivellus."
Severus bristled at the name, "now, listen here, Potter-"
Sirius was the one to cut him off this time, "just get out, Snape, before you upset us even further." With that said, Sirius pulled his wand out of his pocket subtly but not subtle enough. Severus' eyes instantly jumped to the wands held in not only his hand but James' and even Iris'.
He gulped, "fine." He slipped the perfumes back into his robe pockets. He straightened himself out and bit the inside of his cheek. "I'll go!"
Iris rolled her eyes at the boy and started to shoo him off with a wave of her hand. "Just get lost."
Severus flashed them one final fleeting look before turning around and meekly stalking his way down the corridor and into the shadows. The pale boy soon disappeared into the darkness that swallowed him like a large, silky duvet.
Iris watched her ex-friend disappear down the corridor with a sneer. Thoughts of how she would curse and hex the boy who was once her friend and who now constantly wouldn't leave her alone even though she made it clear she wanted him to swarm her head. Why couldn't he just leave her alone? Was she slightly overreacting to what had happened over a month ago on the train? Some may say she was. However, for it to nearly happen months ago and Severus tr not to apologize but instead give her perfumes was unacceptable in her mind. If he thought that giving her gifts(that she had a strong feeling we're not just simple gifts) were going to make up for the fact that he didn't stand up for her when she had done it plenty of times in the past. It was absurd!
Sirius saw the flustered and angered look on her face and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. Iris looked over her shoulder to allow her eyes to meet his stormy grey ones. She sighed out heavily through her nose and let his calming aura consume her. Yet she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was going on. Though she had a strong feeling that if something was going on that it was bad.
---
Iris listened to the crackling fire that rested in front of her. She bundled herself tightly her new Chudley Cannons jumper that she had gotten as a gift. She found herself reveling in the heat that not only the fireplace provided but also Sirius' arms. They found themselves in the normal position of Sirius' arms wrapped tightly around Iris' shoulders as she rested her head on his shoulder.
Both of them were quite tired due to the festivities that took place. It was actually later in the night, well, morning now. People had stayed up quite late after the party. The reason may have been because of the Firewhiskey that had somehow snuck its way into the common room. Iris was more than happy to get a glass of the burning liquid to show off her wicked fire breathing abilities. However, Lily had been a complete party-pooper and took it upon herself to get rid of the drink before too many people could drink it. Iris didn't even get to drop of it! The only ones who did get to drink some of it were the few seventh years that Iris knew. It was no surprise that Frank Longbottom couldn't hold his liquor. His girlfriend, Alice, had to try and get him to go to bed before he embarrassed himself more than he already had.
Though after the excitement with the firewhiskey, everything went back to normal. Around midnight, the last of the kids had gone upstairs for bed. At least, everyone but Sirius and Iris. They had spoken to each other quietly for about an hour before they grew quiet and just enjoyed each other's company. They honestly had never been this close to anyone in their life! To just sit next to someone and be completely silent but still feel completely comfortable with them, was something they never thought that they would be able to feel so content with someone other than themselves.
Iris sighed deeply as he eyelids started to slide close slightly while her head slide down further on Sirius' shoulder. Said boy looked down at her as the corner of his lips turned up slightly. "Tired, love?"
The redhead hummed, "no." She stifled a yawn that crept up on her suddenly. "Okay, maybe a little." Sirius chuckled as he pulled Iris closer to him. They sat in silence for some time more.
Iris shifted herself to look up at Sirius. His face was illuminated by the soft light from the fireplace. Merlin, this boy is handsome. Iris' eyes widened at her inner thoughts that she was unable to control. Her face became flustered as she looked away from him which caused the boy to look at her.
His eyebrows were furrowed at her rosy cheeks, "you okay?"
"Hm? Oh," she coughed, "I'm fine, fine. Completely." It wasn't easy to get Iris flustered to the point where she blushed so blatantly. He wasn't sure why she was blushing heavily, but he was thoroughly enjoying it. Time for some pay back it seemed.
"Are you sure, love?"
Iris jumped and sat up straight as Sirius leaned down towards her. She was fine with the close proximity of Sirius for the longest time. However, now it seemed like she was growing even more flustered as he tried to get closer to her.
"Darling, I am completely fine," she tried to push him away only for him to latch onto her waist. She squeaked as he pulled her down into hips lap with a chuckle. "Sirius!"
She couldn't help herself but laugh slightly at his behavior. Eventually, it turned into giggles when he started to bark out in amusement. They allowed themselves to be immersed in their moment of complete, undisturbed bliss. Iris finally regained control of her cheeks as they grew back to being pale. When they calmed down from their laughter, Iris snuggled into his chest once she felt confident enough that her rampant thoughts wouldn't wander off anywhere she didn't want.
"You're completely mad, you know that," Iris commented with a smile.
Sirius stared at her breathtaking beauty for a moment and allowed himself to take her in. He was still slightly bitter about the fact that Derek, that muggle boy, had stolen a kiss from her. He couldn't necessarily blame her for the fact that the boy had practically thrown himself at her suddenly, but he still felt slightly betrayed to an extent.
However, he then allowed the bliss he was feeling with her in that moment consume him entirely. It washed over him like a calming wave that warned his entire body and tingles every nerve end in his body.
This moment was his and Iris'. Not Derek's. That thief wouldn't get to spend time with the redhead like he did. He got to see a different side of her every night as he allowed her in on a different side of him. The two of them may have only met a few months ago, however, they were far closer to each other than they were to anyone else, he would say. She was, at this point, his everything. Though he had yet to make that common knowledge to everyone.
With the thought of Iris being his own, Sirius didn't hesitate to lean down and place his lips on hers. Iris' eyes were blown wide open before she relaxed into his hold and placed a delicate hand onto the side of his face. Sirius tightened his hold on Iris' waist as their lips moved effortlessly together. They molded together perfectly like they were always meant to.
Yes, soon enough Sirius would make sure that everyone knew that Iris was his and his alone. Sure, some people already assumed that the two of them were off limits by the way that they acted with each other. However, there was still the fact that they weren't… official.
They broke apart after an undetermined amount of time and breathed in heavily. This time, Sirius knew exactly why she was blushing so heavily. They smiled bashfully together as they leaned against each other. Sirius just needed to make the move that would ultimately seal the two troublemakers together for quite a long time. And he had a pretty good idea on how to.

Buffy trying so hard to hide the slayer part of herself from her mum and trying so hard to appear like a normal teen girl and do well in school and have friends and not cause trouble because her mum won't understand, but also because buffy wishes that WAS her life, that all she had to worry about was school and boys and friends. The way she's tryna juggle these sides of herself so that she can fit into both worlds. The way that staying out of trouble is impossible but she can at least try to do it in the dark, alone, to keep it undetected so that no one finds out and she won't have to force her mum to move them again cuz she got expelled VS Dean trying so hard to hide the soft parts of himself from his dad, the side of him that wants to stay in one town long enough to make friends, to see a school subject through to the end of its course, the way he makes it appear to his dad that he doesn't care about the fact he's failing in school or that they don't ever settle. How he tries so hard to be carefree guy who doesn't need solid foundations or relationships outside the family, that he's a Manly Man who loves to hunt and have one night stands and drink and not tie himself down, so he does that loudly and proudly to offset suspicion. But really he wishes he'd grown up having home cooked meals in their house with friends he could invite round after school.
It's about hiding fundamental parts of yourself to appease your parent and yearning for normalcy and stability but not having the choice. Also, it's about being terrified what your parent would think about the people you fall in love with, about the inherent otherness of your desire and how people might despise you for it, whether it's monstrous or queer or BOTH.

@starshinc  inquired :      Izuku’s eyes slowly fluttered open, light filtering through the tent into his eyes, the sound of the zip being closed pulling him closer to awareness. Morning already…? He has to think to himself, stretching experimentally. Ramen looked up from his place on his lap, Izuku blinking sleepily. A check to his right; and - ah, it was Katsuki leaving. They’d had to share a tent last minute, but that was fine. It had been a lot warmer.
Taking a deep breath, Izuku crawled out of his sleeping bag, shivering and pulling on a couple more layers. Once done, he quietly pulled his shoes on and exited the tent, Ramen deciding to remain inside. Eyes adjusting, he looked around, and - oh.
Katsuki was sitting where the sun hit him, and Izuku knew, in that moment, he had it bad. Hair lighting up in the light, and Katsuki had the most peaceful expression on his face, watching the view. And to Izuku, it was the most beautiful thing he’d ever had the pleasure of seeing.
Trying not to ruin the peace, Izuku crept over, sitting down next to the other as he got comfortable, the sun hitting his face. Hesitatingly, he moved closer… resting his head on Katsuki’s shoulder. The view was amazing, but Katsuki was much more beautiful, in Izuku’s opinion. He closed his eyes, focusing on the noises and gentle breeze, and the warmth of the sun.
He has it BAD.      ╱      prompted  soft.

𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚,   𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗕𝗜𝗡𝗚,   𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗘  𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗘  𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦  𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧  𝗞𝗘𝗣𝗧  𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗦𝗨𝗞𝗜'𝗦  𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗  𝗔𝗧  𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 .      they were activities shown to him at a young age to encourage him into expelling excess energy,   and now they follow the blond into his late teen years,   becoming tools to keep himself active and engaged and relaxed.     well,   on his own,   maybe      ╱      when others invite him,   the experience shifts towards the worse.     what would be a relaxing weekend away from class chaos becomes a test of katsuki’s patience as he tries coordinating one,   two,   three ⸺     sometimes more people than it’s worth.     he becomes the one keeping a handle on gear and food ;     often he’s left wondering  how  he’s friends with such disorganised people.
this time is unique.     this time came with the insistence that katsuki brought along izuku for the experience,   the group practically  begging  him to extend the invitation out for their camping trip away while the going was good.     (  they kept saying it had to be him to ask,   because of course it had to be him ;     he was the only one close enough to the green-haired boy in the support course.     why did they even  want  him tagging along,   anyway ?  )     he only did it to make them shut up,   in the end ...
well,   that isn’t completely true,   either.
their circumstances kept increasing in complexity as time continued      ⸺      their beginnings in u.a. were about the same as when they were in middle school,   right up until the moment katsuki was kidnapped,   never brought home.     their relationship shifted  again  when it was izuku who brought him back.     that actually pissed him off,   at first ;     of course it couldn’t have been a pro hero,   a sidekick,   or even a damned intern or hero course student.     it had to be izuku.     him with all the determination and stubbornness he could muster,   knowing full well he had  nothing  to fight back with,   no quirk      ╱      and that didn’t sit well with katsuki for longer than he wanted to admit.
it continued to snowball when izuku kept visiting him during his recovery,   signing away and learning to read katsuki’s body language,   recognising the difference in his hostility between the remnants of ground zero and the boy he’d always known.     katsuki spent those long months recovering,   refreshing his jsl,   having a dog get attached to him,   and trying to understand why the hell izuku  persisted.     his memories never went away,   after all.     katsuki remembers the moment he burned the freckled boy so badly it left scars,   mangled his hand to the point it’d never be the same again      ⸺      in his head,   izuku should’ve hated him,   if he didn’t already.     in his head,   all of the time izuku spent in the hospital with him,   even making the effort to celebrate the blond’s 17th ...     none of it made sense.
katsuki learned pretty fast that  nothing  about izuku would make sense.     even as he got out of the hospital,   played catch-up in practicals,   visiting the support lab frequently to offer upgrade ideas for his gear,   he concluded that izuku was ...     a mystery.     his motivations and intentions were unreadable.     katsuki was so sure that it would only drive a wedge into their newly-forming bond in believing that,   only to find out that it had done the opposite.
even though he told the group that it was because he wanted them to shut the fuck up and stop pestering him,   katsuki found himself wanting izuku to join them.     at first,   he wasn’t sure why the hell he’d think that way      ╱      but when he spent  more  time thinking about it,   it was because of some unresolved feelings buried well beneath the surface.     ones that only one or two people knew,   because they saw it before he did.     even though he couldn’t make any sense of izuku,   there was security in making sense of those feelings,   the same ones he keeps pushing down and shoving aside      ⸺      the same ones that end up driving him into making split-second decisions like demanding izuku to join them.
katsuki found himself eternally grateful that they had their own sleeping bags.     even if  someone  just happened to forget a tent,   they at least had a bit of distance between them while there were others nearby      ⸺      and besides,   the group learned early on not to disturb the young bakugou while he was resting in the mountains.     it would quickly ruin the camping trip if he was in a sour mood on the way back.
the break of dawn beckons cold,   muted rays of sunlight peeking through the tent and luring the blond awake with bleary crimson gaze.     there’s no sound of the others,   only the gentle rustle of trees and calls of birds      ╱      the excitement of exploring unknown territory often drove them off in the early hours of morn,   giving katsuki some moments to himself,   the peace he’d been seeking from the beginning.     he checks the time on his phone and stretches out for a moment.     he  could  stay here and ignore the fact he was sharing his space with another person and his therapy dog,   but he doesn’t intend to waste the chance for the peace he so desperately needs ;     and with the sun rising to bless its subjects with warmth,   katsuki found himself crawling out of the tent and shutting it behind him.
Tumblr media
he wanders to the part of the clearing where the mountain overlooks into the ocean.     the sun’s beams dance over his face as it rises in the east      ⸺      and as he sits to bask in the warmth,   as the rays hit his hair just right,   certain strands of ash blond almost shine like  gold  instead,   glimmering under the morning light.     the breeze brushes past him with its cool touch and the leaves respond in kind.     birds fly and call and settle,   the beat of wings distinguishable when they fly close,   seeking out their morning food.     his mind calms.     for now,   there is nothing beyond himself and the serenity of this mountain.
perhaps it was these moments he missed the most,   where he could just ...     be.     he wasn’t ground zero,   or dynamight,   or even  bakugou  on top of this mountain,   away from civilisation and the public      ╱      he was just  katsuki,   a young boy who’d been through too much.
katsuki becomes more aware of izuku’s presence the moment he sits next to him,   wanting to steal some of the sunlight for himself.     his gaze doesn’t break away from the view.     it’s only when he feels the weight of izuku on his shoulder that he tenses,   thinks,   relaxes again,   waiting a few moments before he could finally look to the boy next to him      ⸺      and he wasn’t sure  what  he was expecting,   but it wasn’t ...
izuku’s hair is a much deeper,   richer green in direct sun.     it looks as curly and unkempt as ever,   forgiving the part where they’d both just woken up and forgone trying to tame something as unruly as hair in the mornings      ⸺      but he never really paid attention to  that  before,   the way his hair shows itself to be much greener in sunlight.     crimson gaze then glances down to the freckles on his cheeks      ╱      they are much more intense in the sun,   as well,   almost aglow,   like he could trace constellations across his face with ease and they lined themselves up to allow for that.     the sun had just ...     revealed aspects of izuku that the blond never noticed before.     (  or maybe it was because they were closer than  ever  now,   his mind so at peace that he doesn’t feel the urge to shove him away ?  )
he could only imagine what izuku’s eyes would look like with the dawn reaching them,   enhancing them under its gaze.     maybe they’d have that shine in them like they always did.     or maybe they would look like a different shade altogether      ╱      green ever still,   but forest green or emerald ?     would they have that hopeful look katsuki grew accustomed to from their time spent together,   every time he made progress,   or would it be something the young bakugou had  never  seen before ?     would ⸺
crimson snaps back to look at the view.     those feelings ;     they stir and constrict around his heart,   flip his stomach,   rob him of the air in his lungs.     (  why was he thinking about it so much ?     why the hell does he  want  to ?     and worst of all,   what about all of this was making him so sick ?  )     katsuki takes a deep breath,   hoping izuku hadn’t noticed the sudden shift in his behaviour again      ⸺      would it matter at this point ?      ⸺      and tries to piece it together in his muddled,   peaceful mind.
these stupid things happen each time katsuki notices something new about the green-haired boy,   pulling him from his usual demeanour to something ...     unfamiliar.     it almost feels damning to look at izuku,   sometimes.     there’s a part of his brain that keeps likening the feeling to being sick,   but ⸺     well,   another part of him says that’s not it.     it’s not the same.     sick is when he looks at someone like mineta,   hears him talk the way he does,   irking the young bakugou into nearly taking action if it weren’t for the girls first.     no,   this is nothing like that,   nothing  like what he’s dealing with now ;     this was ...     a different kind.     something he’d been chasing,   but unaware that it’s been clinging to him this entire time      ╱      he just never placed a name to it,   beyond deku ...     beyond izuku.
Tumblr media
he spares a glance to izuku again and feels a lump in his throat.     it’s stupid.     katsuki doesn’t even think he should be allowed to feel this way      ╱      not after the absolute  hell  he’s put izuku through,   bullying him to silence,   nearly damning his support career before it started,   leaving scars that will never go away.     but ...
it was  love,   wasn’t it ?
somewhere along the way,   it had become love,   and he’s only letting himself see it now ;     only allowing himself to come to terms with it as they sit under the dawn’s light,   izuku resting against his shoulder,   seizing the opportunity while the peace keeps katsuki tranquil.     this whole time,   he didn’t know  what  name to apply to it      ⸺      and isn’t it ironic it’s the one thing he never even thought of ?
hah,   that’s some cruel fucking joke,   katsuki thinks.     letting myself fall in love with the one i hurt most.     as if i’d  ever  have a goddamn chance.
but he allows himself to be  selfish  with this,   the sun having risen to its full extent now,   its glow warming the both of them as they remain in their spots.     (  the group would eventually return and he would shuffle away like he always does,   dismissive,   but the revelation will cling to him like tar ;     the damning feeling that he may  never  resolve it.  )

CHARACTER NAME/ALIAS: Cassie Sandsmark aka Wonder Girl FACECLAIM: Sabrina Carpenter  AFFILIATIONS: Teen Titans, Young Justice, the Nomads AGE: 21 SPECIES: Demi-God
IS YOUR CHARACTER’S IDENTITY SECRET OR PUBLIC? Public  POWERS AND/OR ABILITIES: Flight, Superhuman Abilities, Electrokinesis (ish)  WEAKNESSES: Several of her powers/weapons are linked to controlling her emotions, and Cassie is…not great at this. She’s weaker against projectile weapons like arrows and bullets than she is against blunt force.
IC PORTION; DETAILS —
DID THEY SIGN THE ACCORDS? WHY OR WHY NOT? No. Again, Diana heavily influenced her decision, but after Cassie saw how the ISA treated metas, she knew it was the right decision. However, she does occasionally spiral in self-doubt and wonders if she’s too dangerous to go unmonitored
CHARACTER BIO —
Cassie grew up like a lot of kids in Gateway City: idolizing Wonder Woman and getting into trouble to pass the time. She never really knew where it came from, but there had always been an itch underneath her skin that seemed impossible to satiate, no matter how many fights she got into. Cassie bounced around from school to school, never staying long enough to make friends. The only constant in her life was her mother and her Museum. She could only play on her Gameboy for so long while waiting for her mom to finish her work at the Gateway City Museum of Antiquities. What was a restless girl to do when she was surrounded by ancient artifacts and weapons but ignore all the ‘do not touch’ signs? It helped when Diana showed up. Superhuman patience appeared to be one of Wonder Woman’s many powers because she put up with Cassie’s endless chatter and demands for attention. All Cassie wanted was to be like Diana, to be like Donna, to be a hero. She practiced with swords she wasn’t supposed to touch and watched tape after tape of Wonder Girl’s appearances in the news. So, when Zeus asked her what she wanted in exchange for helping Wonder Woman take down Doomsday and Decay, she didn’t have to think about her answer. A hero. She wanted to be a hero.
Zeus granted her wish. He gave her superpowers, similar to Diana’s, and after convincing her very reluctant mother, she trained with Artemis to become worthy of her gift. Cassie eventually earned the Wonder Girl mantle with Donna’s blessing and retired costume. Sometimes, she had to pinch herself to believe it. As Wonder Girl, Cassie joined Young Justice and grew close to Cissie, Anita, and Tim. She finally had friends her own age, and she was living her ultimate dream–but like most things in Cassie’s life, it didn’t last long. After Donna was killed, Cassie was devastated and the team was disbanded. It was her first time experiencing true loss. Her father, so she was told, died before she was born. The grief had been mostly second-hand, a dull longing for someone she made up in her head. Donna’s death was sharp and jagged in all the worst ways. The pain awakened something inside of her, something that she liked to pretend didn’t exist.
Eventually, Cassie couldn’t ignore it. She joined Teen Titans and later learned that her father was Zeus. She had been lied to by the people she trusted the most; she could feel the rage that had always been simmering beneath the surface erupt. Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately), Ares gave Cassie her own mythical lasso, but instead of truth, her lasso expelled lightning fueled by wrath. Her superhuman abilities, on the other hand, were weakening with no apparent reason. Being Wonder Girl was all Cassie had ever wanted, so when Ares told her that Zeus was the reason her powers were disappearing, she made a deal with the devil. In exchange for Ares’s powers, Cassie would become his champion. After the proverbial ink dried, her powers became completely entwined with her anger. It was overwhelming, all-consuming, and she felt like she might burn to death from the inside out. After Kon died, she almost did.
Cassie’s powers became unmanageable. It was easy, almost natural, to give into the rage. Ares was the God of War, after all, and she was supposed to be his champion. She realized that she was becoming the very thing she sought to destroy, but it was too late. Her nephew Lycus, the son of Ares, took advantage of her instability and attacked her in order to claim the title of Ares’s avatar and her powers. He was able to take the powers that Ares gave her, but through a nearly fatal battle Cassie discovered that she no longer needed to use powers from other gods. She had divine power flowing through her blood. She defeated Lycus with a level of super-strength that she had never possessed before.
She used her new powers to lead the Teen Titans, and now she hopes that she can do something to prove to herself that she’s worthy of being called a hero.

CONTENT WARNING: major violence, like MAJOR violence and graphic depictions of injuries. Read tags for further warnings.
—————
Anthony has had frequent visits with the dean at school. After the first few weeks, they stopped trying. Even the principal just gave up after a whole year’s worth of detention. Nothing changed in his behavior.
For the teachers, it was especially nerve racking when the infamous founder of the Avengers stalks into their classroom for a teacher conference about his behavior. Nick Fury wasn’t the most reactive to it, maybe a few stern glances his way, but no real punishment.
So, whenever Anthony did something outrageously violent and very abnormal for a kid his age and for his build, they would tell him to go to the office and stay there for a few hours to cool down. He would either go back to class, or be told to wait until the end of the school day and leave with everyone else.
Nick Fury enrolled him in the school with a note saying
‘Sorry in advance for the destruction. I’ll pay for it.’
And he was right to send it. It didn’t take long for the teachers to recognize that Anthony was some sort of superhuman. For his peers? They all passed it off and played it cool. They would say the walls were very thin, so any student could be thrown through them. After awhile, everyone learned to avoid eye contact with him at all costs and don’t go anywhere near him. They called him ‘Anthony Fury,’ for that reason. His infamous short temper with no relation to Nick Fury, as no one knew anything about Anthony and his legal guardian.
Look at him the wrong way, and he can lift you up without a second thought by the collar of your shirt and throw you back quite a distance. After awhile, everyone at the High School got used to it, but the teachers never did. They knew more than the students, but Fury commands they keep quiet about it. Besides, he’s a senior now, he’ll be gone before they know it.
After Anthony picked up and threw a kid through a wall during lunchtime, the supervisor immediately sent him to the office to cool his nerves as they rushed the nurses to the other student’s side. Any major injuries caused by Anthony had to be reported to the parents, but it was reported to them in a vague way. They would never reveal his name and would say he’s been expelled and is being dealt with by law enforcement and they will call if they are needed. None of that is ever true. It was by Nick Fury’s request that any damage Anthony caused be covered up for the time being.
Anthony, knowing how this goes by now, exhaled sharply and made his way down the hallway, heading to the office. Most, if not all the students lingering in the hallway looked to the floor and pressed themselves against the lockers as far away from the storming teen as they could.
When Anthony arrived, he sat down in his chair as usual, the staff at the front desk didn’t ask questions and let the teen sit down and pull out his phone.
—————
The teen lifted his head as the final bell ringed, signaling the end of the day. He threw the strap of his bag over his shoulder, holding his phone in his free hand, and pushed the door open, leaving the office and off outside.
Lord, save me.
A black truck was parked to the far side of the building. Inside the truck was none other than the man himself. Anthony immediately lowered his head, pulling up his hood, and stormed over to the truck, gritting his teeth.
Nick Fury rolled down the window, as slowly as he possibly could with a blank expression.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” The teen snapped, gripping the edge of the open window,
Nick had one hand on the steering wheel, he had his other arm resting on the back of his car seat, “I’ve decided I’m driving you home today,”
“Why?!”
“Because,” Nick began with a stiff head tilt, “it’s a Friday and we’re going to take a nice drive around the city together,”
Anthony groaned, shoving his head into his hands, “Is this about that kid today?”
“I didn’t check my emails today, but thank you for telling me. We can talk about that when you get in the car,”
“Nick!”
“Anthony, you’re making this a bigger deal than it has to be,” Nick tapped the steering wheel with his finger, impatiently, using his free hand to adjust his eye-patch.
“I specifically tell you not to pick me up-“
“Well, today is special,”
Anthony pinched the bridge of his nose and exhaled sharply through his teeth, “You look shady as fuck with these tinted windows pulling up at a High School!”
Nick raised a brow, his grip firm on the wheel.
Anthony didn’t fucking dare look behind himself, he could feel eyes on him. He had to pray to any god that would listen that no one payed any mind to the literal Avenger’s founder that’s picking him up from school. No doubt about it, some people from their angle probably saw Nick, but will play it off as a trick of their mind.
The teen exhaled slowly, staring at the ground blankly. Nick waited. There was a pause.
With a defeated sigh, Anthony opened the door to the passenger’s seat and climbed in, closing the door behind himself. He threw his backpack into the back seat and sat there, arms crossed.
Nick hummed, and turned forward, pulling away from the school and onto the road.
—————
It was a silent, awkward drive, as it always was when Anthony had to travel by car with Nick. He didn’t listen to music when he was driving, so it was just… silence.
Deafening silence.
Anthony tried mirroring Nick’s stern look as he stared ahead at the road. He still had his arms crossed and his brows furrowed, staring at the road ahead. However, it was impossible to match that stoic mask Nick always wore.
Silence…
“So, you’re growing up-“
Anthony groaned and leaned back in his seat, “Really?”
Nick clicked his tongue to his teeth, “We need to discuss this, this is a very important talk to have-“
“While we’re driving?!”
“Look,” he raised a hand, his eye still glued on the road, “I get that we already had ‘The Talk’ but this is a different talk. You’re superhuman, Anthony-“
The teen scoffed, “Never would have guessed-“
“Listen to me,” Nick said, sternly, “this is getting harder and harder to cover up. You wanted a normal teenage life, so I’m trying to give you options for one. I have you bank account and I’ve deposited a few loads of money. For anything you could possibly need if and only if you decide to leave for college,”
He turned his head to take a glance briefly at Anthony before turning his head forward again and continuing,
“Tony,” he shook his head, stiffly, his face still blank, not giving anything away,
“You need to control yourself,” that earned another annoyed groan from Anthony, but Nick continued regardless, “we need to work on these powers, alright? No getting out of it. This is important for you,”
“I know how to use my powers!” The teen raised his voice ever so slightly, gritting his teeth and gripping his biceps, his arms still wrapped tightly around himself,
“You know how to use them, you need to control them-“
“How the fuck do you control superhuman strength?! I would like to know!”
Nick narrowed his eye, not making eye contact, “Anthony Rossi, I don’t approve of your attitude-“
“You literally don’t even try to be my parent so I don’t even have to say it,” the teen snapped,
Nick exhaled slowly through his nose, his grip tightened on the wheel. His nose wrinkled as his lips lifted into a nasty scowl,
“I am trying to help you. This anger, you need to find a way to control it. I can’t constantly cover up for you, so I’m giving you options,” the man tried to keep his voice level, but it was getting harder and harder to do so,
“I’m trying to keep your powers undercover. We don’t want anymore scientists getting ideas on making more superhuman serums. It’s dangerous, and life changing. You understand more than me,” he sighed.
Anthony didn’t respond. He was turned away, staring out the tinted window and only looking at Nick through the reflection.
“Use your powers for something worthwhile,” Nick finally said after a short pause, turning the wheel, “not for backyard fighting.”
The teen stared out the window as they drove by building by building. He knew where they were going and he didn’t want to go, but Fury still had work to do and he wasn’t about to leave Anthony unattended someplace else. Yes, Anthony did have a room in the tower all for himself and it was technically his home, but even after a few years, he’s still not entirely used to it. He wasn’t sure how to describe it… it was something… uneasy. He just hated how loud it was sometimes, how bright it was because of the thousands of windows-
Well, as they always say, there’s no place like home.
—————
It started at a nearby plaza. A group of four people pulled guns out of the back of a van and opened fire.
Fifty were wounded, ten were already dead.
The people were scrambling for shelter in stores, the managers and clerks ushering people inside as they locked the stores to take cover.
They kept shooting, even with no people in sight. Shooting at the sky, at lamp posts, at store signs and steel doors to scare the civilians inside with loud cracks and booms.
One of the gunman was sitting in the back of the van, reloading their pistol as his companions laughed and joked, firing their guns with loud shots.
The van shakes.
The gunman inside froze.
The laughing outside stopped.
There were shots fired and a shout.
The sound of something hitting the ground with a loud thunk.
Another battle cry was heard, but cut off mid scream.
Another thunk. The sound of a body collapsing on concrete.
Faint incorrect whimpering and begging.
It turned to shouting for mercy.
Another thunk.
The man inside the truck didn’t dare move another muscle. He felt the blood pumping in his ears.
The truck rocked again.
Step… step… step…
Footsteps from on top of the vehicle.
The truck bounced up again.
Silence…
The gunman was frozen. He waited. After hearing nothing for a good few minutes, he loaded his pistol with a click.
He got up, crouching and slowly stalking towards the opening behind the van. He narrowed his eyes, it was dark out, only the bright light of the lamp posts bouncing off of faded grey concrete kept the plaza from pitch black darkness.
The man leaped out of the van, pointing his gun in all sorts of directions. He called out…
Nothing…
He looked around for his group…
No one,
No bodies,
Nothing.
He seemed to be alone.
He was walking backwards towards the front of the truck, pointing his gun this way and that. His breathing sped up. He used a free hand to feel for the van door. He grabbed the handle and yanked it open-
The man was pulled backwards by a pocket chain around his neck. The man thrashed and kicked, grabbing at his throat with his free hand, trying to find the chain around his neck to pull himself free. He was helpless.
He dark, looming figure tightened his hold on the chain and pulled back. However, the man wasn’t done fighting, he held his pistol with a shaky hand and fired it to the ground.
The bullet ricochet off of the concrete and fired back up on an angle into the man’s leg. The man let out a scream and toppled to the ground as the looming figure jumped back, the chain slipping off of his neck.
The man panted and clutched his leg, dropping his pistol. He fell to the floor, groaning.
The Tangle Web clipped his pocket chain back on his pocket and stepped forward, staring down at the wounded man. The blood from the bullet in his leg spewed everywhere and into the small crevasses of the concrete, creating a thick, dark red puddle where he lie.
The man was rocking back and fourth, staring up at the masked vigilante. He lifted a hand, his palm up, shaking violently. He was whimpering and muttering apologies, begging.
The Tangle Web stared at the man for a moment longer before yanking him up by his shirt collar, the man’s knees dragging on the concrete.
The man screamed and begged, eyes wide with fear. The masked vigilante opened the van door and tossed the man against the opening, their head falling into the cushion inside. The man tried crawling out before The Tangle Web slammed the van door onto his head,
Again,
Again,
Again,
Again,
And again,
Over,
And over,
And over.
The masked vigilante opened the door wide, the unconscious man falling to the ground, limp and unmoving.
The Tangle Web stared at the limp man, it was impossible to see what was going on behind that mask. His shoulders heaved up and down, chest expanding and falling heavily like he had just run five marathons in a row.
The masked vigilante grunted, taking a few steps back.
His open gloves palms clutched into fists.
—————
The next day, on the news, four criminals responsible for the shooting at the plaza were found tied up and hanging from a large web at the plaza. The web was hanging from a lamp post and a nearby building, covering almost the entirety of the plaza.
One man was dead and suffered from severe head trauma. A van door was found with his blood on it and a pool of blood was found at the tires.
Three of the men are being held in the hospital in critical condition.

author's note | hey remember that lila salt fic i promised? this isn't it but this is something i made today so yep. please accept this as an apology for yknow. me promising to write and. not doing it.
Enough was enough.
“Marinette, stop accusing Lila! She just wants to make friends!”
“Take the high road.”
“Be a good model student, Marinette.”
Enough. Was. Enough.
Marinette had the connections, the power, the choice to make Lila’s entire world crumble apart. The only thing that stood between the liar’s demise was the tiniest pinch of morality and self-restraint— And no, that self-restraint did not come in the form of Tikki. Even the kwami, who had to be an aggregation of all the good and nice things in the world, was fed up and ready to retaliate.
“What a joke.” Lila cackled, tossing a chunk of her sausage hair over her shoulder flamboyantly. The two girls were in the bathroom, with Lila smirking in front of the sink and Marinette a little distance away from her. “You can make my world crumble? What is this, a threat?”
“A promise.” Marinette corrected. “Stop telling lies. Come clean to every one. No more lying about knowing celebrities left and right, no more making excuses about not being able to take your own notes, no more making up ‘diseases’ just so your life gets a little more convenient. To be frank, I really don’t care what happens to you— But by making these empty promises to introduce my classmates to great ‘celebrities’, you’re ruining their futures. Stop.”
“And what are you going to do if I don’t?” Lila sneered, face twisted into an ugly grin. “You going to cry in front of the class? Try and convince them that I, the one they adore— That I am lying?”
“No.” Marinette’s eyes were clear when she met Lila’s. The clouds of self-doubt that used to hover over the bright, shining star inside her soul had now dissipated, letting the bluenette emit a confident, glowing appearance as she met the liar head on. “I’m just going to keep my promise.”
──────── ⋆⋅❉⋅⋆ ────────
Lila headed off to a modelling shoot after school, pleased at the prospect of spending more time with Adrien. There were a couple tendrils of Marinette’s words hanging behind in her mind— Did the girl mean what she said? Did she actually… Was she actually capable of causing Lila’s downfall? … Surely not. Marinette may have once been the ‘Everyday Ladybug’, but there was no way she was that competent, there was no way the girl was capable of plotting.
The Italian hummed, brushing away thoughts of the annoying bluenette from her mind. She was going on a photoshoot— One that was going cause the rise and burst of her career, the one that was going to make her name a globally-known one. Unfortunately for Lila, her plans were going to be derailed quite soon— In fact, as soon as Gabriel Agreste’s car rolled into the parking lot of the shoot location.
“Explain this, Mlle. Rossi.” Gabriel’s nostrils flared as he pointed to the tabloid article on his tablet. The Italian girl froze, the headlines seared into her eyes, big and black and bold, shooting poison right into the core of her body, paralysing her cell by cell starting from her heart. “What is the meaning of this?”
‘Adrien Agreste Reported To Be Harassed by Fellow Model’— The image under the caption was one that was clearly taken by a hidden photographer. The picture was framed with leafy foliage, which suggested that the camera was tucked up in a tree. Despite the distance, it was quite obvious in the image that Adrien was reeling away, disgusted and uncomfortable as a faceless woman in an orange blazer, back turned to the camera— Invaded his personal space.
The subtitle was the cream on the cupcake.
‘Witnesses State Gabriel Agreste Ignorant of Workplace Harassment’.

As if things couldn’t quite go down a worser path, Lila returned home to a fuming mother and an unexpected visitor.
“Lila! You come here right this instant!” The diplomat demanded as soon as the front door opened, her daughter shrinking slightly at the tone and pitch that her mother was using. The last time her mother had been this angry— Well, it was when she got expelled from her last school. “I can’t believe what you’ve done! If it weren’t for your kind classmate, lord knows how long you would’ve continued with this!”
The Italian meekly followed her mother into the living room, eyes widening until they were as large as saucers, mouth agape at the last person she expected to see sitting on the couch.
Marinette smiled kindly, waving at the girl, looking every bit the part of the innocent, pure, kind child that every parent wanted to have. Before Lila could release a torrent of questions about what the hell Marinette Dupain-Cheng was doing in her living room, her mother charged on, beginning to take out her anger on her daughter while a literal angel sat on the sofa, cradling a box of pastries from her family’s bakery.
“Your friend here tells me that you’ve been taking absences from school to go on trips to help humanity!” Mme. Rossi exploded, waving her arms around madly. “She says she’s here to share her notes from the classes you’ve missed! You’ve never left Paris this year! What’s this I hear about flying off to the kingdom of— What was it called again, Marinette dear?”
“Achu.” Provided the bluenette helpfully, the diplomat’s expression instantly softening when she talked to the other teen in the living room.
“Ah, yes. Thank you, dear.” The woman turned back to her daughter, instantly snapping on a mask of anger in a matter of a fraction of a second. “What’s this about flying off to this kingdom of Achu to help homeless orphans with some random prince?”
“Um…” Lila piped up, wriggling as her brain churned at 200 lies per hour, trying to whip up a cover of some sort.
“I’m not done! Your friend here is such a helpful child that she even went as far as to ask her family doctor is there’s a cure for your… Lying disease!” Mme. Rossi practically roared, breathing flames as if she were an intimidating dragon, her daughter flinching away from the heat. “I’ve never heard of anything more ridiculous! And then there’s the fact that you lied to your classmates about having tinnitus?!”
“I actually do have tinnitus!” Lila cut in forcibly, widening her eyes to make herself look more pitiful. “I was just afraid to tell you because I didn’t want you to worry!”
“Bullshit!”
“Um… Sorry to interrupt, Mme. Rossi,” Marinette piped up, the diplomat instantly cooling down as she faced the bluenette, a soft smile tracing the Italian woman’s lips. “But it’s getting rather late and my parents would love me home soon. I also have some tests to revise for tonight, so I think I should get going.”
“Oh, of course, dear.” Mme. Rossi hastily got up to help the bluenette to the door, shooting a warning glare at her daughter— ‘Sit still and don’t you dare go anywhere’, the glare read. “Feel free to come over again anytime you want, dear. I’m not home often, but you are such a sweet child. I’m sure Lila could learn a lot from you.”
“Thanks for having me as well, Mme. Rossi. I really like your home. I left the pastries on the counter— Make sure to warm the curry puffs before you eat them.” Marinette returned the smile, bowing slightly to the older woman as a sign of respect.
“Thank you for the pastries as well, Marinette. I ought to visit your parents’ bakery sometime when I’m free.” Mme. Rossi opened the door kindly for the bluenette, waving the girl off with an affectionate smile. Her parents must be so lucky to have such a sweet little thing like her, Mme. Rossi sighed internally, turning the key so she locked the door. And she seems to be a high-scoring student as well.
──────── ⋆⋅❉⋅⋆ ────────
Lila seethed, having been grounded by her mother. As far as Mme. Rossi was concerned, there was a boarding school not too far away from their current residence, and by the next week, the Italian girl would be transferred over. Lila had never hated Dupain-Cheng as much as she did in that moment.
Still furious, the Italian snapped her laptop open, too angry to bother with the fact she might’ve scratched the surface. Clicking into the web browser, she started to type in the words ‘Ladyblog’— That was, before a news article caught her eye.
‘Jagged Stone Interview Reveals Underage, Obsessed Fan’.
What on Earth…
As soon as Lila clicked into the link, the news footage from the interview immediately begin to play. The date stamp on it showed that it had aired last night— Which meant that she would’ve missed it, since her mother was too busy yelling at her to turn on the television to watch Nadja Chamack’s daily news.
“As soon as I heard this rumour about some underage teenage girl claiming that she had saved my cat on an airport runway, I called Penny and asked her to book a slot for me to clarify this,” Jagged Stone said grimly, dressed in more formal attire as he sat in the comfortable, cushioned chair of the news station, with Nadja nodding equally seriously beside him. “Let me clarify— I’ve never owned a cat. I’m allergic to fur. The only pet I’ve had was Fang, and he’s an al-li-ga-tor. Not a cat. Whatever the girl is claiming, she’s obsessed and making up stories.”
“It’s also kind of bewildering that she saved it on an airport runway,” Nadja continued, shaking her head in disappointment. “That kind of thing only happens in dramas— It’s too dangerous for anyone besides authorised workers to be on airport runways.”
“Right, right!” Jagged agreed instantly. “The whole rumour is just really baffling.”
“M. Jagged, may I ask what kind of effect these rumours have on a celebrities’ career?” Nadja continued, leading the conversation on like a professional.
“Well, rumours that circulate around tend to have really bad effects, and the worse ones can hang around for a long, long time. Tabloids are often spun off from rumours, baseless and with no evidence. Those tabloids will never truly disappear, so they can leave a mark on a celebrity’s reputation as some people will believe anything— Even things they read from un-cited tabloids.”
“That is simply terrible. Have you ever had any cases of rumours created by underaged teens before this?”
“I’ve had quite a number, but none of them really got as big as this one. From what Penny has found from digging around, the teen girl managed to spread the rumour through her school and onto a once-popular blog.” Jagged explained. “Penny has also found out that the same girl has claimed that I’ve written songs for her to thank her for saving my cat! I would never write songs and dedicate them to an underaged girl— Trust me. If I could do such a thing, I’d already have written a dozen in honour of my niece— She’s my favourite designer.”
Nadja smiled at that sentence. “Then—“
The news footage cut off abruptly as Lila slammed her laptop shut, too upset to continue watching.
──────── ⋆⋅❉⋅⋆ ────────
On the other side of Paris, Alya was pacing around her room frantically, wondering why on earth Lila wasn’t picking up on her calls. She’d left at least four dozen messages to the Italian, who was absent from school that day. There had been a couple whispers here and there about why she was missing— Rose had suggested another impromptu trip to Achu.
Lila’s absence wasn’t the weirdest part of the day, however.
That award would go to Marinette, who walked into class with a smile, the slightest sprinkles of delight colouring her bluebell eyes when she spotted Lila’s empty seat.
Growing in frustration, Alya threw herself onto her bed, phone clattering onto the mattress with her. Within the next few minutes, however, her phone suddenly started exploding with notifications. Excited at the prospect of Lila finally texting back, Alya turned on her phone, only to be disappointed by the notifications all clamouring from the class group chat.
Kim had sent a link to the chat— Without hesitation, Alya clicked into it, frowning when she saw Nadja and Jagged appear on the screen. Throughout the interview, the colour on the Ladyblogger’s face only paled by the second until she was as white as a sheet, and if it were halloween at that time, she would’ve won the best costume award for being a ghost.
There must… There must’ve been a mistake.
A notification from Lila’s number made the blogger perk up, instantly clicking into the conversation— But her newfound hope didn’t last very long.
[Lila]
Hi, Alya. This is Lila’s mom. She’s currently grounded right now. Is there anything important you need to tell her?
[Alya]
Oh, nothing much… I just wanted to ask where she was.
[Lila]
She’s at home.
[Alya]
Okay, thanks.
Flopping onto her bed, Alya begin thinking, revising over the past few months like it was an old clip. Lila’s exciting adventures and interactions with celebrities of every kind— Lila going overseas and face timing the entire class— Lila letting her in on the secrets of being Ladybug’s friend…
… Marinette trying to tell them that Lila was lying…
──────── ⋆⋅❉⋅⋆ ────────
The class was awfully silent the next day. Adrien was absent as well— A social worker was looking into his home life as a result of the tabloid that arose. Things for the blonde could either get better or worse from then on, as the matters were still foggy and things hadn’t cleared up yet. The blonde maintained contact with his friends, however, calling and texting them whenever he could.
“Class, settle down.” Mlle. Bustier stepped into the class, looking very tense and uncomfortable. “Today, we will have a guest, so please be on your best behaviours, alright?”
Just as the teacher finished speaking, a tall, regal-looking Italian woman entered the classroom, a cowering principal and a meek-looking Lila in tow. The class brightened slightly at the sight of their friend— But by the way she wasn’t looking into their eyes… Things weren’t going to be good.
“Good morning. I am Mme. Rossi, Lila’s mother.” The woman begin speaking, her firm and no-nonsense tone instantly making every student sit straight, their eyes too afraid to look anywhere else but the Italian diplomat. “It has come to my attention that my daughter has been taking absences from school to do charity work— And I have to clarify that this is a lie. Lila has been doing nothing but holing herself up in her room, lying to me and saying that there are no classes due to akumas.” The Italian diplomat glowered at Damocles. “What’s even more baffling is the fact that neither her homeroom nor the principal bothered to check up with me despite a student having extended periods of absence with no note or email written whatsoever.”
The class was so quiet that they could hear the quiver of Mlle. Bustier’s trembling lip.
“In addition, I’ve been kindly told that Lila has claimed to have a lying disease, which is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard this week.” It was impossible to miss the way the Italian diplomat was glaring daggers at both Mlle. Bustier and Damocles. “No one bothered to look it up online to see if it’s actual disorder, nor did anyone call me to confirm and ask for a doctor’s note, which is standard procedure.” Chills burst over the room, making every one shiver as the woman hissed out her words.
“Mme. Rossi, we didn’t want to disturb your busy schedule—” Damocles begin, only to be blown backwards from the sheer intensity of Mme. Rossi’s glower.
“M. Damocles, standard procedures exist for a reason. Unless you’d like to tell me about any other things you’ve been letting my daughter get away with?”
“N— No, Mme.”
The Italian diplomat continued on her war path. “My daughter also claimed to have tinnitus, am I correct?”
“Y— Yes, Mme.” Mlle. Bustier answered when it seemed like no one was going to.
“And I heard that the class seating arrangement was shifted to accommodate for that?” The homeroom teacher didn’t dare answer this time, for it seemed like whatever she said would be the incorrect answer. “And apparently, my daughter has also been faking broken wrists and requesting for her classmates to complete her work for her.” Mme. Rossi was practically breathing flames at that point, “And I am incredibly upset at the lack of action from the homeroom teacher.”
No one could breath.
“I have many concerns about the running of this schooling facility, and I expect to discuss this with M. Damocles privately after this. However, there is still something to be done.” Mme. Rossi swept her gaze towards her daughter, who found the floor incredibly interesting at that point of time. “Lila? Something you’d like to say to your classmates?”
“… I’m sorry for lying to you.” Lila mumbled resentfully.
“Louder, Lila. No one can hear you.”
“I’m sorry for lying to you!” Lila swallowed, bursting like an explosion that had finally been triggered, tears in her eyes and fists hatefully curled. “I’m sorry for lying about my diseases and injuries. I’m sorry for making you do my work,” She spat. “Sorry for causing any inconveniences.”
Mme. Rossi raised an eyebrow at her daughter. “Is that all?”
Lila glared at her mother, who was completely unfazed. “Oh, so you want an apology from me? Fine!” She turned to the class, a maniacal glint in her eyes as she sneered at the class, a few gasps puffing from around the room as they caught their first glimpse of the liar that resided in the ‘harmless’ shell of Lila Rossi. “I’m sorry that you are all such idiots that you all fell for everything. I’m sorry that Marinette has such terrible, untrusting classmates that turned their backs on her even though she was still a goody-two shoes till the end, even though she still wanted to help you sorry peasants. I’m sorry that you were all so goddamn gullible! There! Good enough for you?”
Shock was etched into the faces of every human in the classroom— Including Mlle. Bustier, M. Damocles, and Mme. Rossi themselves. Clearly, that part of the apology had not been part of the plan.
“Did I miss something?” Said a sweet voice, followed by the presence of a bluenette, her hair tied in a half-up. A royal blue blazer decorated her lithe form, accompanied by a smart-looking white blouse and a black plaited skirt. Formal had never looked so good on anyone— And if someone didn't know better, they'd think that the bluenette was a young lawyer, emerging victorious from her first successful case.
“Marinette!” Alya exclaimed.
“I’m sorry that you’re such an annoying, little, pest.” Lila bit in the girl’s face, disdain colouring her features as she ignored her mother’s enraged gasp behind her.
The bluenette simply smiled, unaffected by the liar who had crashed and burned like the liar once wished upon her. Marinette Dupain-Cheng stood at her full height, the perfect image of grace and poise as she maintained her composure, quite unlike her nemesis, who thrashed under her mother’s restraining hands.
“And I’m sorry that you didn’t take my promise to heart.”
this can count as adrien redemption depending on you cause ehhh i dont like how passive he is but i havent caught up with the recent episodes, he might have become better. idk.
also where the hell is my miraculous taglist i cant find it so eep. no tagging ppl ig oops

Chapter 4
After the eventful day yesterday, I could say that today was extremely boring. For some unknown reason, Stiles and Jackson had not shown up to school. But, after what happened I would have missed too, but I left my bike here and I needed to get it back. I wasn’t planning on staying longer than needed. Once the day was over and the clock hit three, I sped off to my house. I was still tired from yesterday and all I wanted to do was take a big long nap. My body felt heavy, and my head hurt like hell.
But once I got home, I knew that I wouldn't be sleeping like I wanted to.
"What are you doing here, Derek?" I asked as I took off my helmet.
"We need to talk."
"No, we don't. There's nothing to talk about."
"(Y/N), please. You have been avoiding me for almost two weeks now. I need to know why." He sounded desperate.
"And I want to know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop. Guess we won't be getting any answers today." I tried to walk to the door, but he grabbed my arm. "Let. Me. Go."
"Please, just talk to me. Give me a reason." His stare burned a hole in me. "Please."
"Seriously, Derek. Just leave me alone." He finally let me go, my arm feeling cold missing his touch.
"I won't stop until you talk to me and explain."
"Then get comfortable, sour wolf, you'll be waiting a long time." I entered the house and locked the door, finally letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
I changed into comfortable clothing and started cleaning the house. My parents would be here tomorrow, and I wanted to make sure the house was spotless. Truly, I just needed something to take my mind off Derek. Why did he make me feel this way? Yesterday the only thing I was wondering was why HE was there. And I didn't want to think that way. I didn't want to care about him. Not now, not ever.
After I finished cleaning, I found myself with nothing to do, so I ran upstairs and took a shower. I tried to take all the time in the world but there wasn't enough. I got out and went to bed thinking of the events of yesterday.
I was running through the forest and I felt someone chasing me. No matter how fast I ran, the creature ran faster. Before I knew it my body had collided with the floor and towering above me was the thing that had screeched last night. It looked lost, like it needed to find his purpose. His slit eyes stared down onto mine and his sharp teeth expelled a sort of saliva that trickled down to my face. His tail was moving up and down my legs teasing a cut. I wanted to move but I knew if I did it would try to kill me, so I stayed put. I closed my eyes and awaited what would happen but instead of death, a roar sounded. Startled, the creature screeched, and I screamed back.
I woke up screaming and sweating just 5 minutes before my alarm would make a sound. I got out of my bed and went to take a shower to relieve me from the dream I just had. It sounded just like the screech from two nights ago. My body felt cold, and I had goosebumps everywhere. To calm my nerves, I put the water in a hot temperature and let it ease my muscles and relax my body. I would have maybe called Isaac but, after knowing he's somewhat involved with whatever is going on and him being a douchebag the last few days, I didn't even bother looking up his contact. Maybe it was for the best. After the year ended I could cut ties without any remorse.
Once I was done with my shower I changed into comfortable clothes once again and ran down the stairs. For more than an hour I was enjoying a horror movie on TV when I heard the doorknob rattle.
"Mom! Dad!" I ran and jumped on both.
"Hey, munchkin." My dad ruffled my hair and hugged me.
"Hey, darling. How did your week go?" My mom asked. How could I explain to her something I didn't know?
"Pretty uneventful. Just hanging out around the house, organizing my room and stuff. But, enough about me. Come in, settle down, tell me about your week."
"Honey, why don't you go sit down, we need to talk about something." I looked at my mom weirdly and went to the kitchen to sit down.
"What's going on?" I looked at my parents who were fixing up dinner.
"Munchkin, you know how each year we have to move due to my business. Well, this year is gonna be different."
"We're not moving. Dad, you've said that before. How do I know you're not lying again?"
"We took this week kind of on a trial basis. You’re getting older and can handle bigger responsibilities like taking care of yourself and the house by yourself. So, it seems that we can be away for elongated periods of time and you’ll be just fine. And in any case, your uncle is here to take care of you."
"We will be living here in Beacon Hills and any business that needs to be taken care of we will just leave town for a few days. Are you okay with that?" My mother smiled.
"Okay?! I'm beyond okay!" I jumped up from the stool and hugged my parents. "This is the best news ever!"
"That's great, honey. Now go do something while I start dinner."
When my parents told me the news that we were staying the first person that came to mind was Derek.
I had been avoiding him for such a long time and he did deserve some answers and maybe I could get some from him about what was going on in this freak show of a town. I decided to text him and told him to meet me at his house in the woods. I awaited his answer and rode my bike down the now familiar trail. And just as he had said, there he was, waiting on the front steps of the house.
"Hey, Derek," I said softly. It was hard to swallow my pride after the way I had been acting.
"Hey, (Y/N). Are you finally ready to talk?" He said in a calm and soothing voice. Absolutely the opposite of what I was expecting. I nodded my head and sat down next to him. "So, why have you been avoiding me? Is it something I did?"
"No. I just had to."
"You had to?"
"Look, all my life I have had to pack everything up and leave behind a whole life. Every time the year ends, I need to forget about one life and start another. I have ignored so many people that have only been nice to me because I don't want to grow attached. Cause when I leave, I know I will never see them again and I'd rather be alone than have to pass through that heartache."
"So, once we started growing close you had to cut ties so you could forget about me." I nodded and he let out a sigh. "I get it. But you could've told me."
"Yeah? How? Hey, I'm gonna start to forget you now so I don't have to later. Wouldn't be too sensitive, would it?"
"No, but I would have understood." He looked at me. His eyes held kindness and understandings, things I didn’t deserve for my actions. "But why are you telling me now?"
"My parents told me that we're not leaving this time. We're here for good."
"So that means you'll stop ignoring me?"
"Yes." He smiled and gave me a hug. I hugged him back. "Now that I have given you answers, I need some in return."
"Like?"
"What the hell happened on Thursday?"
"Oh. That." He paused for a second and groaned, but I motioned him to answer me. "Of course. But what I tell you right now must stay between us, and you must give me your word that no one will know that I was the one who told you. Not Scott or Allison, not even your parents."
"Is it that important?"
"Absolutely. Look what's happening here, it's not normal nor human."
"What are you talking about, Derek?" I chuckled.
"Everything around you are not what it seems. There's just no easy way to say this."
"Derek, ballpark it."
"I'm a werewolf, an alpha. And so is Scott, Isaac, Erica, and Boyd, they're betas. Your family, including Allison, are hunters. They kill people like me and the others. That screech you heard yesterday, it came from a Kanima. A walking snake-like creature that kills people, murderers exactly, after paralyzing them with a type of venom it creates." He looked into my eyes trying to search for something. An answer, a sign, anything. It just wasn't there. "(Y/N), please. Say something."
I tried to speak up, but nothing came out. Maybe it was the shock, maybe I wasn't ready to hear this, maybe I didn't want to know that everyone around me was different. Out of this world, sort to speak.  Everything was changing and I couldn't do anything about it. I saw Stiles' jeep coming closer. Out of it came Scott, Allison, and, obviously, Stiles. I got up from the steps, ignoring their calls and Derek calling my name.
"Where are you going, (Y/N)?"
"Home." I turned on the motorcycle and tried to leave but I couldn't. I was frozen, listening to their conversation.
Derek's POV "What's happening?" Stiles asked.
"She's leaving, dimwit. Don't you have eyes?"
"Why would she leave like that?" Allison questioned and directed her sight to me. "What did you do?"
"Nothing. We were just talking."
"What exactly where you guys talking about?" Scott asked.
"Everything."
"As in." I stared at him and raised an eyebrow. "Oh, everything."
"Derek, why the hell would you do that?! It was not in your place to tell her about that."
"Oh, like you would have told her anything. Just like you're telling Lydia. She came to me for answers, and I gave them to her."
"That is none of your business."
"I was not going to continue to lie to her. You do whatever the hell you want but I couldn't go on like that."
"Honestly, Derek. What is your problem?! She's nothing to you so I don't understand why you had to bring her into this twisted world." Allison screamed.
"You know why she has to know. I accept that it's not my place, but I knew you wouldn't say anything and, also, I didn't bring her into this. Your bloodline did. Don't pin this on me." Allison starts fuming and closing the gap between us but stops dead in her tracks when she heard the same thing all of us heard. (Y/N) falling off her bike.
"(Y/N)!!" I ran towards her and picked her up.
"Don't touch her!" Allison screamed.
"You can't tell me what to do." I bumped our shoulders and headed towards the house. "But if you wanna help out you can follow me."
Fuming, Allison followed me into the living room with the trail of puppies on her back. She helped me gently lay down (Y/N) on the couch whilst Scott found some gauze and alcohol for a scratch on her face and hopefully what would wake her.
After cleaning the wound, I held a gauze dripping with alcohol under her nose, but nothing happened.
"This is what I wanted to avoid. She seems so strong, but she is so fragile too. I wanted her to find this all out through her parents. Not some stranger she just met." Allison spoke to Scott.
"I think you underestimate the strength she has. And trust me, I am no stranger to her." I spat at her. "At least I was the only one brave enough to give her the answers she was seeking."
"Derek, honestly I could give two shits about what you think right now. It's your fault she fainted. Again, you had no fucking right."
"Look, Allison, I get it. You don't want her in this world because she's better than you. I get it." I smirked at her and she lunged at me. Scott held her back but I wanted the reaction. I was completely fuming, (Y/N) deserved better than lies.
As she struggled, Stiles’s words brought us back from the fight.
"Guys, she's waking up."
I directed my gaze again to (Y/N) and noticed her eyes fluttering open. "See, she's fine."
"But she wasn't."
"Well, she is now." I gritted my teeth.
(Y/N)'s POV
"Um, guys, yeah. I'm still here stop talking about me as if I were gone."
"Are you okay? How are you feeling?" Allison asked as if I had hurt myself.
"I'm fine. My body is functioning normally, my legs are moving one after the other, my lips are opening and closing, and my tongue is moving, and my arms are flailing. I'm super."
"Take it easy, (Y/N). You just found out a lot of stuff." Scott said.
"Yeah, you two are werewolves." I pointed at him and at Derek, then at Allison. "And you, along with our family, a hunter." I looked at Stiles. "And you're human, like me."
"And?" Derek asked in a harsh tone as if trying to keep up the mean façade he had. It made me angry, but the worry was evident in his eyes.
"It's fine. It's weird but fine." This time I did get on my motorcycle and started it.
"Whoa, where do you think you're going?" Stiles tried to stop me midway.
"Um, as I said before, home."
"You can't drive in this state, especially in a motorcycle. You could crash!"
"Allison, I have never in my life of driving crashed a motorcycle whereas cars, enough to start a small dealership, and some of them weren't even mine. I think I'm good." As I tried to leave, once again I was stopped. This time by Derek.
"I'll take you home."
"Um, you've done enough. I'll take her home." Allison stepped in. They got in each other's faces and I had to step in between them.
"Mom, dad. Stop. I hate when you fight." I snorted. "Sorry, but I'll take myself home."
Before any of them could answer I got on my motorcycle and sped off the same way I came through. When I got home, I was out of breath and dizzy. Everything Derek had said kept replaying in my mind over and over, like an endless loop of unimaginable words that seemed to be part of a dream. The front door of my house seemed so far, and it felt like almost half an hour had passed until I got there. Everything passed by slowly and blurry.
My father called out to me and it felt like I answered but I had no idea what I said. Maybe something in the lines of I'm tired, I'm gonna go to bed. I ascended the stairs one step at a time until I reached the top. It felt like climbing the Great Wall of China, but finally, I made it to my bedroom. Once I entered, I got the scare of my life and everything went back to normal. Derek was in my room.
"What the hell are you doing here, Derek?!" I yelled in a soft whisper.
"I wanted to see if you were really okay. You didn't seem good when you left."
"I'm fine," I said in a cold voice and started looking for my pajamas. He wasn't believing me, and neither was I. "Seriously, Derek. I am."
"You don't seem or sound fine. I heard you when you got here, you were out of breath and you took your time to get up the stairs as if it was the biggest climb of your life." It was evident that he was worried about me but there was nothing to worry about. I may still be in a bit of shock. He just needed to chill. Deep down I knew how scared I was. The world had turned into different stop frames. I could see everything pass me by inch by inch. I had time for everything. I could easily have gone to the other side of the planet and back and not more than a minute could have passed.
I went to the bathroom and changed in hopes that he would leave, even though  I didn’t want him to. He didn't. He looked around my book collection which, I may add, is quite big. My father had some people make a built-in bookcase and desk. It was probably my favorite place in the whole house, the kitchen ended second. Derek had taken one of my favorite books in his hand.
"Pride and Prejudice? Hm, never would have pictured you to read this kind of book."
"There's many things you don't know about me, sour wolf."
"Seriously, you're gonna keep calling me that? Even after you know it's true."
"That makes it more fun." I smiled weakly. "So, werewolf, huh?" He nodded. "And my family is filled with hunters." He nodded again. "And they hunt you."
"(Y/N), if this is too much for you, we can leave you out of it."
"It doesn't matter if you leave me out of it, I'll still be involved. I just don't want anything to change."
"I know. Me either." He said looking down. I walked over to him and hugged him needing some type of warmth. His arms engulfed me, and I felt relieved, completely forgetting how mad I was at him for being a dick not a few hours ago.
"It's just for the first time in my life I thought I cloud have a normal life with my family and new friends. I hoped to settle in a normal town where it's so boring, but you fall in love with the people there and never want to leave. I guess I just wanted normal."
"And I just ruined that." He sighed, his chest rising and falling against my head. "I'm sorry."
"Don't blame yourself. My parents would have brought me into that world soon enough. I think that's why they've had me working out and training for no apparent reason. They were hoping I would join the family business."
"Would you?"
"Huh?" I looked up at him.
"If they asked you to become a hunter, would you?"
"If I hadn't met Isaac, or your pack, or Scott... or you, I probably would have. But I can't be a part of something that hunts innocent creatures just because they believe the whole species is bad." He nodded but stayed quiet.
I went over to my bed in hopes he would stay but he made his way to the window. I don't know what came over me, but I called out to him. "Don't go. Stay, please."
Without another word he turned off the lights and sat next on the chair that was in the corner next to my bed. Finally, I drifted off with the possibility of words flowing from his mouth.
Derek's POV
"I'll never leave you." I whispered to her as she closed her eyes and drifted into sleep. After some time, she started squirming and her heartbeat began to race. I sat next to her, and without waking up, she got closer and snuggled into my chest. I put an arm around her and heard her heartbeat slowly go back to normal.
At around midnight I heard voices arguing downstairs. I didn't mean to overhear but I couldn't help it.
"You went looking for her again, didn't you, Henry?"
"Of course, I did. I'll look for her until the day I die."
"You know you'll never find her. That was the point. You told her to hide, and she did. So much that not even you can find her. I guess she didn't love you enough." She sighed. "And even if you found her, your father would use all his power to kill her."
"At least I loved her more than I'll ever love you, and that's enough for me."
 After that, a long silence.
Then, a door slammed shut.
Moments after I heard footsteps coming up the stairs.I tried my best to move in case they decided to check in with her, but (Y/N)’s grip on me only tightened. I had no escape other than to brace myself for whatever could happen.
My heart started to race faster and faster as the steps became closer to the room.
Step.
Step.
Step.
Her mother was right outside her door, probably debating waking her daughter up to wish her a good night. My breath hitched in my throat when the door handle started to softly turn; the gears in my brain turning, looking for the quickest escape. The door handle had turned completely and I prepared myself to run. But, it was let go. The footsteps receded and ended in the room next to (Y/N)’s. Once I heard her settle in bed I finally relaxed. I curled (Y/N) onto me and wrapped her tight. Something in me just wanted to protect her and let her know she’s not alone. I hadn’t felt this way in a long time and for the first time I wanted to see where it could lead.

The Gilded Poppy Meets Marinette
First of all, I hit 1000 followers last night! Thank you all so much, this is so cool. If there is anything special y’all want me to do for 1000 followers, let me know.
This is an idea that I saw and talked about with @anastasian-dreamer and @musicfeedsmysoul12 and I loved it so much. I just had to write it out! I will write another one where the Poppy helps to defeat Hawkmoth. Find it here. I hope you all like it!
Nikolai and Remy had met the Dupain-Chengs not long after they met each other. They were only 15 and had not yet mastered being thieves. They needed food and they decided to try stealing from a popular local bakery. The plan was for Remy to talk to the bakers and distract them, while Nikolai grabbed some bread. The plan, however didn’t work at all. Sabine caught Nikolai the instant he touched the bread. But instead of getting mad and calling the police, Sabine gave them the bread with a smile. Sabine could tell they were living on the streets when they came in and since the bakery was doing well, Sabine didn’t see the harm in giving the boys free food. The boys thanked them and left the bakery with their stomachs full.
-----------------
That wasn’t the last time they went to Tom and Sabine’s bakery. They often went there and the couple always gave them free food. They grew close with the family and one day met their daughter Marinette. The boys were in the bakery, talking to the couple as they ate when a young girl, who couldn’t have been older than six, came into the room. The little girl looked at the teen boys and with a big smile on her face, asked her mother, “Mama, are they the ones you give all the bread to? Can they come play with me?” Sabine looked at the little girl with a kind smile, “If they want to Marinette.” That is how Remy and Nikolai found themselves being led into the most pink bedroom they had ever seen, with a plate full of fresh cookies and one very excited six year old. As they played with Marinette, the two boys agreed to make sure no harm ever came to this little girl and her parents, and to make sure to pay them back for their kindness.
----------------------
Years went by, and the Gilded Poppy was now a well known group of thieves made up of six people. Despite being busy with their heists, Remy and Nikolai always made a point to visit their favorite bakery every time they were in Paris. The rest of the Gilded Poppy often came with them and had also grown to care for the Dupain-Cheng family. Remy and Nikolai acted as older brothers for Marinette and the rest of the Poppy were like the crazy aunts and uncles of their weird family. Jett, Remy, and Zoe often got up to crazy schemes (nothing illegal, but always funny) with Marinette, the four of them constantly laughing. Vivienne would talk to Marinette for hours about fashion and her latest designs. Remy and Nikolai had also started sending the family expensive gifts to pay back their kindness from all those years ago.
------------------------
On one trip to the bakery, as they ate their food and talked with Tom and Sabine, the door to the bakery was flung open by Marinette, who rushed by and up to her room without a word, very clearly upset. Tom and Sabine just looked resigned at this point. They knew this was likely the work of that liar Lila Rossi, but there wasn’t much they had been able to do to help Marinette. They supported her as best they could at home, but they hadn’t made any progress with the school. When Nikolai asked what was wrong, they told the Poppy the whole story. Needless to say the Poppy was furious that some third rate con-woman had been making life hard for Marinette. And they were going to try there best to stop it right now.
-----------------------
For the next few days, they followed the liar around discreetly. They listened to all her lies and listened to the class falling for them. Any time that Lila lied and said Marinette was bullying her, the Poppy had a hard time not jumping in right then, but they knew they needed to wait for the right lie at the right moment. So they watched as the liar continued to lie about everything under the sun and the class isolate Marinette more and more. The only person that seemed to stand by her was Adrien Agreste. Other than that, all her other friends had abandoned her, and it made the Poppy furious. But they soon got their perfect moment to intervene.
--------------------------
Marinette was away at a doctor’s appointment and Lila was using the opportunity to come up with the most outlandish lies she could say, since the designer wasn’t there to mess anything up. She was telling the class about some of her ‘adventures in Italy’ when she came up with a new story. The Gilded Poppy was in the news a lot lately, so Lila claimed to have almost caught them once during a heist in Venice. She told the class she had risked her safety to safeguard a priceless painting and how the Poppy had threatened her, but she still did what she thought was right. Alya was looking at Lila with stars in her eyes. “Wow Lila! That is amazing. No wonder you are Ladybug’s best friend, you are already like a hero.” The class fawned over their friend’s ‘heroic deeds’ not knowing they were being listened to by a certain conman.
-------------------------
Remy couldn’t believe the idiocy of this liar and the class. He and Nikolai really needed to convince Tom and Sabine to move Marinette out of this class. But that is a discussion for another time. For now, the liar had backed herself into a corner and Remy would be able to put an end to this madness. He quickly fell into character and approached the class. “Pardon me, but did I hear your story about the Gilded Poppy correctly?” Lila smiled at the stranger, always looking to charm and amaze the people she met. “Yes, it is true. If it wasn’t for me, they would have stolen that masterpiece.” Remy put on his most charming smile, making sure he sounded calm and happy. “That is amazing. I am a true crime author and am writing a book about the Gilded Poppy. I would love to include your story in my book. When did this happen? What were they trying to steal? And where were they stealing it? Tell me everything.” Remy knew the girl would take the bait. From what he could tell, this girl lied for attention and fame,  so the offer to be in a book would be too good to resist. Remy smirked as Lila jumped into a story about how last August, the Poppy had tried to steal the famous  Ginevra de’ Benci painting from the Museo Correr and ending her tale with how the Poppy had threatened to kill her for stopping them.
---------------------------
Lila had finished her story and expected this author to be as astonished and fooled as the class. But instead she was met with a confused look. Remy made sure he looked perfectly confused before innocently asking, “Young lady, what are you talking about? Please don’t waste my time with made up stories.” The class looked confused at the man in front of them, before Nino spoke up. “What do you mean sir? Lila isn’t lying.” Remy looked at the class with a practiced cool look. “I do not wish to be rude, but she is lying. I have several accounts, including witnesses, police reports, and news articles that put the Poppy in New York from last July to September. They weren’t in Venice. They also are notoriously non-violent. They wouldn’t threaten to kill you. Also, the painting you mentioned is famously held in the National Art Gallery in Washington D.C., not the Museo Correr in Venice. You can all look this up, it is common knowledge.” The class all pulled out their phones, trying to prove that their friend wasn’t lying. Trying to defend her against this author. But they couldn’t find anything. They saw that everything this author said was true. About the Poppy, about the painting, everything. They quickly turned to their friend, now realizing that she was a liar. They started yelling at her and the school courtyard dissolved into chaos. It was so chaotic that no one noticed that Remy had disappeared.
-----------------------
Things got a lot better for Marinette after that. Lila was exposed as the liar she is and the chaos of that day even drew Mr. Damocles out of his office. Once he found out what happened and the extent of Lila’s lies, Lila was expelled from school. The class did apologize to Marinette, but the friendships were already to damaged to be mended by a simple apology. Remy and Nikolai did end up convincing Tom and Sabine to switch Marinette out of that class. Now Marinette was in Mrs. Mendeleiev’s class and was much happier. She had made a bunch of new friends and the class had a lot less drama going on. The Poppy was just happy to see their dear Marinette happy again and was glad they could help her.

Weird (Request)
MCU Cast x gn!teen!co-star!reader
Genre: angst, fluff
Request Description: Hello ❤💓could i please request a x teen reader were she has a really quirky and bubbly personality and the cast loves it but she starts getting bullied at school for it and shes acting shy and doesnt talk anymore and there all concerned.⚘💓❤😘
Warnings: bullying, general sadness, insecurity
(A/N): decided to do this request with chris evans, anthony mackie, sebastian stan, scarlett johansson, and elizabeth olsen (as i have previously stated, fitting the entire cast into it is impossible, so i usually have to pick). i hope this doesnt affect the requesters enjoyment of it :)
Tumblr media
“I’m considering picking up some lye,” you said bluntly. Everyone that had attended Chris’ I’m-sorry-I-forgot-I-was-hosting-dinner dinner looked up from their Chinese takeout boxes.
“Like, the chemical lye?” Anthony asked, picking at a piece of chicken with his chopsticks. You hummed and nodded, doing the same.
“Why?” Sebastian asked.
“I’m considering getting into the soap making business,” you said, “there’s some real money in that market.”
“Really?” Scarlett said, chuckling along with everyone else at the horrible, scrambling-to-even-be-called-a-dinner dinner.
“Don’t laugh, guys. You might be seeing my custom soaps in The Body Shop soon,” you joked and once more everyone laughed, shaking their heads.
“Good luck with that,” Elizabeth said.
“Thank you, I’ll need it, seeing as lye is apparently very fun to eat and also very toxic,” you sipped your coke, bubbles long gone, leaving the sticky and sweet juice behind.
It was like that every time you were around. You always had something strange you had been pondering about, wether it was soap-making, a career in shipwreck exploration, or investing in a live action Thomas the Train movie. Every single time the cast was with you, they were waiting for the next weird thing to come from your mouth and they were never disappointed.
You were a lovely, outgoing, yet casually blunt young person, and you were simply wonderful to be around. Like a breath of fresh air each time they were around you. Refreshingly happy.
And you loved being weird. You loved being yourself, even if you were a bit of an outsider. Not in the sense that you were better than anyone else, you were just slightly different. You always felt there was nothing wrong with that.
Well, you did. Then things changed. Your schedule working with the movie was lined up, so you had at least two days a week in regular school, often more. You were happy, because it meant you weren’t sacrificing your education to be in a movie.
Then these girls started bothering you. You could always tell that they didn’t exactly like you, which you actually understood. You always knew that you could easily come off as pretentious and snobby when someone didn’t know you, especially seeing as you were a ‘quirky’ movie star.
But then they started talking to your friends. Which was fine. But then when you tried to speak to your friends, everything changed. Those girls were practically bristling at your presence, your friends included.
But you didn’t let that bother you. You still had plenty of friends on set, as you considered all of your cast members to be your friends. And they considered you a friend as well.
But then those girls at school decided that they weren’t done. First, they said things that were very obviously about you, but were disguised as something else. And they’d always make sure you’d hear.
“I think I’d like to be an actor,” one of the girls had said. They had been sitting on a bench a little bit away from your locker, where you were cramming a physics book in.
“Oh my god, Lacey, you’re so quirky and weird!” another one had said, and your mood had crumbled, realizing they were making fun of you. You had just closed your locker and left, but you had still heard their giggles at your obviously upset state.
Then they just started blatantly making fun of you, saying you were ugly and untalented, but what hurt you most was when they said you had an annoying, attention-seeking personality.
You started questioning things about yourself that you never questioned. Were you attention-seeking? Was your personality annoying? Were you even a good actor?
You would tell your friends, but they didn’t seem to like you anymore, and with your new insecurity about your personality, you even wondered if the cast really liked you, or if they just found you annoying like everyone else.
So you told no one, and you decided, determined, that you would be less annoying and more quiet.
“Hey, Y/n! You’re here!” Sebastian exclaimed, as you entered Elizabeth’s rented flat. He was holding a drink in one of his hands and ran to hug you at the door. You hugged back gently.
“Are you ready for an actually prepared dinner this time?” Elizabeth said slyly, smirking at Chris, who had definitely heard enough about that one time he forgot to plan the dinner.
“Ha ha, very funny, Liz,” he said. You watched them in amusement, holding back multiple snarky comments.
Sebastian, Elizabeth, and Chris had all turned to you, and it took you a moment to realize they were expecting you to say something. There was an awkward moment where just watched them, before they snapped out of it, coughing and shuffling uncomfortably.
“Uh, anyway, table’s this way!” Elizabeth guided you all to the large table. Anthony and Scarlett were already there, mid-conversation and bobbing their heads to ‘Anaconda’ played from Elizabeth’s stereo.
“Y/n’s here!” Scarlett said excitedly and you sat down sheepishly.
“Yep.”
You watched everyone around the table exchange glances, before all eyes landed back on you.
“Are you okay?” Chris asked carefully. He was sitting next to you.
“Yeah,” you said quietly, fiddling with your napkin, “just a little stressed about school.” You forced a smile.
“.. Alright,” Anthony said said reluctantly. There was a moment of silence, because if you weren’t happy, there had to be something seriously wrong with the world.
“Uh, I think the chicken’s ready,” Elizabeth said, changing the subject. Everyone mumbled in relief.
The night went on and everyone had conversations and small laughs as they ate, but it was very clear that something was off. Scarlett tried bringing you into the conversations several times, but you immediately clammed up.
It was becoming increasingly clear to the cast, that it was obviously not stress from school (which none of them bought anyway). You noticed the awkwardness too, contemplating if you were being too much of a downer. They would probably have a better time if you didn’t drag them down, you thought.
“I should go,” you said suddenly, making their heads snap towards you. You forked your untouched chicken.
“Why?” Sebastian asked, as you stood up and grabbed your jacket. You stilled.
You were conflicted in that moment, wondering wether to confess to them or suck it up and go home. You just didn’t know how to be less of a bother.
“Don’t lie,” Scarlett said, noticing your conflicted state. You frowned.
“Am I.. Annoying?” you whispered. There was a moment of silence.
“What?” Chris exclaimed, baffled. You looked up at them.
“Am I- Am I weird? Because if so, I-I can just go home-”
There came a choir of whats and nos, and outrage from the table. Everyone spoke over one another for a moment, desperately trying to let you know as clearly as possible.
“Hey!” Anthony’s booming voice shut the rest of the guests up. He looked you in the eyes, “None of us think or have ever thought that you were annoying. And for your information, you’re only weird in a good way. Now, would you mind telling us why you suddenly think this?”
He was calm in a way the public never saw him. Dropping the silliness and handling the situation. It was quiet then.
You felt horribly sad, as you thought about those girls at school. You sighed and blinked away tears. Your cast members’ faces grew even more worried at this.
“Come on, N/n. Sit down again and let’s talk about this,” Elizabeth said gently, patting your chair. You nodded hesitantly, and sat down. You fiddled with your napkin self-consciously. They waited for you to speak.
“Well.. There are these girls at my school. I don’t know- They just.. Started making fun of me, I guess,” you mumbled, ashamed and avoiding their gazes.
“They said you were annoying?” Chris asked.
You nodded. Sighs could be heard around the table. If you had dared look up, you’d have seen several clenched jaws and fists, displeased faces, and frowns.
“Have you told anyone?” Sebastian then asked.
You shook your head. You felt someone grasp your hand and looked up to see Sebastian, sitting across from you, holding your hand gently. He smiled sympathetically.
“First of all, Y/n, you’re not at all annoying. You’re the type of person anyone can love, you’re so refreshing to be around, and you always have something funny to say,” Scarlett begun after a moment of silence. You smiled softly.
“Secondly, this is something you need to tell the principle, and I don’t want to hear anything about how you don’t want to confront them or anything. You shouldn’t tolerate that,” her voice was tough and determined. You knew she was right, so you nodded.
There was a moment of silence.
“So.. Have you discovered anything strange you want to share with us?” Anthony asked then. A large, toothy smile enveloped your face, as you remembered that there was, in fact, something you had been excited to share with them.
“Yeah, so, uhm.. I’ve been playing this game..”
And with that, everything was back to normal. You entertained them like you always did with your bright and bubbly personality, and you felt confident and happy again.
It would take you a lot longer than just that night, to fully understand why you were amazing and exactly why you weren’t annoying, but the most important thing was that you were happy and confident right then and there.
You called the principle, of course, and those girls were expelled. Your friends apologized for their behavior, but you decided not to be friends with them again, not with the way they treated you. You weren’t mean about it, just got some better, more sincere friends.
Although, you were grateful for friends you had had in that time. Your cast mates started complimenting you more, just slightly here and there. And if any interviewer or fan commented on your personality, the cast would get incredibly protective very fast.
They knew that your personality was an easy place for people to pick on you, and they just wanted to make sure, that you knew you were a lovely human being. And with how much they reminded you, it got hard to forget. But that’s only a good thing, because you really are a good person :)
