summary. you're in 7th year and ron is in his 6th.

warnings. fluff, barely age gap (ron 16, reader 17.)

Hermione met you in a random after school club, and after that you quickly became friends and she soon introduced you to ron & harry.

Ron hadn't recognized you at first but he was sure that he'd seen you around the castle.

When you told them you're close to graduating they realized you were a 7th year, which made little to no difference to them.

Weeks with hanging out Ron began growing closer with you, loving your presence and constantly asking Hermione when she'd bring you around again.

You were both either always on "study hang outs" at the library or relaxing by the black lake, but those study dates really consisted of him staring at you, trying to hide how flustered he was when you reach over to draw on his page.

You began growing closer as best friends, and you'd constantly tease him while arguing and insisting your right by saying "I'm older so I know better".

As you get closer to graudation around spring, Ron knew he had to confess his feelings or else he'd only see you during the holidays, while you might be with someone else.

He asked you out after a quidditch game, on a picnic date to both your favorite spot, the black lake.

It was quiet but something you both knew you wanted for a long time.

He ate messily but also tried to be clean, but the whole time he was also a blushing mess.

From then on you both dated, even though you had no classes together he walked you to every class, not wanting to let you go as he hugs you tightly and placed kisses all across your forehead.

Nobody in your year cared so much, but when they noticed you began becoming happier they assumed you were dating someone in your year, but they soon found out it was Ron Weasley as you kissed him at a gryffindor party after a quidditch win.

He goes to your graduation, he makes Molly make you a gift basket and a scarf with your house colors and initials.

He takes soooo many pictures at your graduation.

At your graduation dinner he finally meets your parents, and they literally love him so much and welcome him over anytime over summer.

During your graduation dinner his thoughts get to him and he slowly begins overthinking, worried about you being on your own and only seeing him over breaks or even doing long distance, worried that you'll find someone else who has all the time in the world for you.

You reassure him that he's all you want and that when you buy your own house/apartment that he's always welcomed over break and he's even more comforted by the fact that you leave drawer space for him.

Random Black family headcanons

The post will be edited

1. Birth mark

Every child from Black family has a "constellation" of moles at their body. That's where they have their names from. Actually only their parents, siblings and romantic partners are aware of this fact beacuse birthmarks are in not very visible places. Eg. Regulus has Leo's contellation at his hip. The reason why Narcissa doesn't have star's name is beacause she wasn't born with Black's birthmark but with Rosier's one (her mother is from Rosier family). It resembled narcissus flower

2. Matching necklaces

When Beallatrix had her first trip to Hogsmade she bought three necklaces with letter "B". She gave two of them to her sisters. Few years later when Andromeda married a muggleborn Bellatrix get rid of her nacklace. She didn't want to be reminded of the traitor. Narcissa stop wearing hers in official situations but she kept it and she was wearing it when she was home alone (or later only with baby Draco). Andromeda never stopped wearing hers. She was taking it of only when she was going to sleep and every next morning she was putting it.

3. Scarf

When Sirius was at his first year at Hogwarts Andromeda borrowed him her scarf. The day was cold, she met him at school grounds and he apparently had forgotten his scarf. Sirus forgot to give the scarf back and that was the year when Andie was ending school. Actually she never asked for return. That's why Sirius kept the scarf. And every time when he was upset he was keeping it close like a teddy bear to think about his favourite cousin. When he was taken to Azkaban and they tried to take the scarf away from him he bit them. Then he was sleeping with it every night. Around 1995 when he met Tonks he gave her old slytherin scarf saying "give it to your mom, tell her I miss her". Dora told him to keep the scarf but then asked Remus for it right after Sirius's death (Remus knew where his best friend (if you prefer boyfriend) used to keep souvenirs). Andromeda got her scarf back not long after she lost her cousin.

4. Hardest choice

Andromeda got pregnant before marriage, while she was still living with her family. When she realised she was expecting a baby she confessed to her mother. She even said that this is muggleborn's child. Her mother (after argument and calling her a slut) found a solution. She told her daughter to marry some pureblood beafore the pregnancy would be visible and raise a child like this man was it's father. That was the moment when Andie decided to run away from home. She couldn't take her baby away from it's real father just for externals. She couldn't raise her baby in a lie. She never wanted to leave Narcissa on her own but there was no other choice. It wasn't just about her anymore. It was about being mother

5. Aristocratic skills

Since pure blood families are equivalent of aristocracy in real world many poeple headcankn Blacks as french speakers. I've also seen headcanons about Black brothers (idk how does this work with Black sisters) playing instruments. And I love both of this tropes but I wanted to add something. First thing: I strongly believe that Blacks (especially girls) were also taught dancing. Second: I headcanon Andromeda and Narcissa teaching their children aristocratic skills. Of course Andie didn't heve to teach her "broken" child but she believed that skills were useful. And here's how did this work in my opinion:

Draco learned to dance and used to play instrument when he was little but when his started Hogwarts he didn't have enough time to practice so he never mastered playing instrument. He never liked to study languages so he didn't learn french and he really regretted it at his 4th year (Triwizard tournament)

Dora learned french, she always thought that was a funny language which made her enthusiastic about learning. She also learned dancing but always when she had a chance she prefered to just jump around the room with her dad to "The Beatles" records. However the skill of ball dancing turned out to be useful during wedding (she led, Monny just trusted like he used to with Padfoot before). Dora never learned to play instrument. She didn't have enough patience

6. Muggle music

Andromeda was the one who intodroduced Sirius to muggle music. When she started frindship with Ted Tonks (I headcanon them as friends to lovers like many people do) she quite fast became fan of "The Beatles". She showed one vinyl to Sirius. At first he wasn't into this music and he started listening to it just because it was muggle. But during the years he was digging deeper and deeper into muggle rock music. Then he found metal. And then with little Remus' help and companion he bacame punk. And many years later he returned favor. He intoduced Dora to muggle punk music (she was raised listening "The Beatels" and she became fan of "Weird sisters" but she didn't know muggle punk).

7. Drinking

Everybody from Black family had high tolerance for alcohol in my opinion. It doesn't mean that everybody drink a lot but they can drink a lot without being really drunk. Even Draco can hold his drink beacuse of his mum. Lucius never had a high tolerance.

now, mattheo doesnt know much about mental health stuff like adhd, but he does notice certain things you do.

the way you cant sit still in class, or the way you can never seem to focus on anything

and sure, he doesnt like to pay attention, but he can, you can never seem to really grasp onto the lesson, or even just concentrate properly

so he asks you about it, not thinking much of it

when you tell him the reason, your worried at first, but honestly. he kinda finds you having adhd weirdly cute

he likes when you're impulsive and nervous, obviously to an extent though

if he sees you picking at your skin, he gently grabs your hands and holds them instead

cant focus? thats fine! mattheo actually starts taking notes in class and concentrating just so he can teach you afterwards (sobbing wtf)

i guess in a way you having adhd helps him too! in the sense that now he does his work for you to then see and stuff

plus he likes being your teacher (in more ways then one ykyk)

he also has mood swings of his own, so he learns exactly how to take care of yours, whether you're sad or mad, he knows how to fix it.

Meet the Hogwarts Founders!!!

I did some light research and cross-referenced name meanings and origins with ethnicities and locations, soooooo here’s what the Hogwarts Founders look like!!

According to my research:

1. Godric Gryffindor

“Godric” is mid-English and German, and more specifically, Anglo-Saxon. So he is most likely tall, pale, with straight/curly blonde (or possibly red) hair, and has light-colored eyes. He also probably has high cheekbones and a high forehead,

Sooooo something along the lines of this:

2. Helga

“Helga” is both German and Scandinavian. I went with the Scandinavian option for reasons you’ll see later in this post. So, following that train of thought, she should be tall, with straight blonde hair, blue eyes, a straight nose, and thin lips.

(Tbh, I always envision her to be a beautiful black woman who doesn’t take sh*t from anyone, but I’ll let this blonde-haired, blue-eyed-ness slide since this post is just me conveying what I searched on the internet)

So, according to my research, she should look similar to this:

3. Rowena Ravenclaw

“Rowena” has German roots---the reason I went with the Scandinavian-headcannon for Helga because I like the idea of the founders being different ethnicities, but maybe that’s just me. Rowena would have fair skin, straight brown (light or dark) hair, thick eyebrows, brown or blue eyes, an angular and wide jaw, straight nose, and would be tall (around 5′11)

4. Salazar Slytherin

“Salazar” comes from a region near Portugal and Spain---specifically Burgos. I went with the Portuguese route, but honestly Spanish would work really great, too. He’d have a more Mediterranean look, with brown hair and eyes, prominent cheekbones, and of a height shorter than 6 feet. (And therefore is probably shorter than Rowena Ravenclaw, which I thought was funny haha)

Soooo he might look something like this:

My life became crazy busy over the summer so headcanoning skills have declined from disuse but I hope you enjoy ☺️

Hermione cheerfully informs Draco that her parents are coming for dinner. He spits out his tea on the floor, wheezing.

He goes into full-on panic mode, frantically vacuuming, dusting and fluffing pillows left and right. Bean, the puppy, and Crookshanks are taking refugee in the bedroom as tens of stacks of papers and books that Hermione has accumulated are being levitated around the house.

She has to restrain him with after he starts cleaning the broom closet. He sags into her arms, letting her sit him down on the couch.

Yet five minutes before they arrive, he’s desperately quizzing himself on the rules of rugby and there favorite colors.

They eat dinner together. Draco serves five (home cooked)courses, all the while doing his best to figure out what dentists were(torturers of children, obviously).

He nearly runs out the door with embarrassment when Ms. Granger declines his Yorkshire Pudding because she’s lactose intolerant. It takes all three of them to reassure Draco, patting his head and telling him how delicious his cooking was.

Afterwords, Draco finds himself stiffly sitting on the couch with Mr. Granger as he watches rugby. When asked if he can play, he smiles and nods, ready to provide an extensive list of rules. Hermione laughs her head off as her father says ‘are you sure, stick boy?’

At the end of the night, he’s so clammed up that he tells them ‘good morning’ instead of goodbye and ‘sneeze you next time’ in place of see you next time. He freezes after Ms. Granger hugs him, telling Hermione over his shoulder that he’s a keeper.

He sits curled up next to Hermione on the couch, feeling rather victorious, as she plays with his hair.

You Little Sneaky Fox (Cedric x Reader)

This has been in my brain and I had to write it in order to stop, also my best friend @little-diable is a co star in this(surprise bithc).Enjoy our new add on the list, Cedric Diggory

Another year, another stash of newbies running around the castle. (Y/n) was walking to class alongside with her friend Chiara when she started to hear the whispers

“Of course they are slytherins”

You smirked at the young girls comment. She had to admit her and her friends walk was very noticeable and kind of demanded attention, their heads held high, usually an eyebrow raised, good posture and their shoes making a click clack sound against the well polished floor.

“you think anyone will join us this year?”

“Of course, thing is if they will be able to keep up”

She answered.(Y/n) never cared about the little kidos but it was funny to see them struggling and desperately trying to blend in by being rude and snobby, of course slytherin had a cunning reputation but there is a difference between confident and cocky, especially when you are a little kid.

Soon enough they were outside their class, as they opened the doors everyone was already at their seats and professor Snape stared right at them. Snape had a weird bond with (y/n), he knew she was powerful and she put in the work, a clear over achiever but she could be extremely stubborn,cold and sometimes even arrogant, her snarky comments were an annoyance.

“You are late”

“We like to make an entrance”

“Besides it’s only 3 minutes”

Chiara jumped in to defend her friend. They started to walk again at their assigned seats -they weren’t really assigned, they just always sat there-

“3 minutes are important young lady. 10 points from slytherin”

“Oh what a shame, how will we ever get them back?”

(Y/n) whispered just loud enough for Snape to hear and for some of the students to laugh. Snape decided to ignore her and continue with his lecture.

As they sat down (y/n) saw a note waiting for her, her name written in beautiful calligraphy. Of course no one had dared to touch it nor question who was leaving notes for the lady who was pretty well known for getting caught giving sweet love kisses in the after hours.

“Well well well,at least he is always on time”

Chiara knew about him. At first she was shocked her friend would not only consider but being genuinely interested in a hufflepuff. As much (y/n) hated to admit it, she was slowly catching feelings for Cedric, he was sweet, gentle, but also passionate. She hid her smile as she carefully opened the note

“12 am, at our spot?”

She bit her lip and looked at her friend. Chiara winked at her before giggling in a dirty manner, she was happy for her, she hadn’t seen her friend get sweaty palms and ask what she should wear in... ever really.

But her craving for him was a slow burning fire that was know getting taller. She wanted him for herself, just the little whispers of other girls saying how cute he is when he was walking down the halls were enough for her to think a hundred different ways to behead them and him. So she came up with a plan, to see if she was the only one feeling this way.

Cedric stared at her from the other side of the room. He had to admit that he felt his heart skip a beat when he saw her giggling after reading his note, he didn’t even understand how a slytherin girl could be so addicting, he was so intimidated yet drawn to her, they were a few times during their “dates” that she showed him her gentle side, nuzzling in his neck for a few seconds, a sweet gentle kiss before she runs from him, her fingers running through his hair in a soft manner.

He wanted to ask her out officially, stand next to her proudly for the world to see, however he was scared of her reaction, what if she laughed at him? taunt him and reject him? he would be heart broken.

As their class came to an end and they had time to go out in the garden and relax, Cedric was playing around with his mates and (y/n) was waiting for her chance to start her plan.

“Want to see a cool show?”

“What has your evil mind come up with?”

“Stick around and you will find out”

She shot back in a low tone as she walked towards the guys and chose to go for the ultimate threat, good ol’ malfoy. She had heard from a few “sources” that malfoy had a little crush on her, he was also a slytherin and Cedric did not like him. He was fourteen which means (y/n) would never do anything, but a little chat was enough to see what she was working with

“Morning Malfoy”

Draco turned to look at her, he was in shock but he tried to hide it not wanting to mess with his reputation. He smiled at her and run a hand through his hair in order to calm himself down’

“Morning (y/n)”

“I just wanted to come here and say that if you need any help with the spells don’t hesitate to ask me or Chiara, we’ll be happy to help you”

“T-Thanks”

Even this part was amusing to her, seeing the arrogant, rude and full of himself little malfoy stutter when he talks to a girl, just this thing was a personal win for her, making boys stutter and lose their cool around her was her drug of choice. She took one step closer towards him and shyly licked her upper lip

“Oh don’t mention it, you are one of us right?”

Before he could respond (y/n) turned her back to him and walked to her friend. With the corner of her eye she saw her real target, Cedric. He had stopped playing and was looking in her direction, over the time they had spend together she had learned how he expresses his feelings and she could clearly understand by the way he looked at her, his lips slightly parted and how he nodded his head that he was livid.

Chiara was giggling, admiring her friends plan that had clearly walked, she always loved to see (y/n) play around with guys brains-if they had any- it was truly a sight to see.

“You little rascal, he is fuming”

“Unfortunately you won’t be there for the finale tonight”

As the hours passed and (y/n) carefully slipped through the halls and the teachers guarding the castle to go and see her plan had brought her. As she approached him she could see his tense back, he was whispering to himself, his hands curling into fists and then released.

(y/n) hugged him from the back and got on her tip toes to give him a kiss. If that little incident had not happened he would have been the happiest man in the world right now.

“Hello darling”

“Since when are you so interested in Malfoy?”

Well, there goes his plan of casually slipping it in the conversation. He couldn’t hold his feelings any longer, he was hurt, almost betrayed, was she really interested in other guys? no, she couldn’t, he wouldn’t be able to handle it.

“What are you talking about?”

“(y/n) this is really not the time to play the aloof card, you never talk to him”

“How do you know who i do and don’t talk to Cedric?”

She was pushing it, she knew she was playing with fire and it was extremely dangerous, but where’s the fun in being careful right?

“So you are just suddenly a good Samaritan and decided to help Draco with his homework?”

“I didn’t know you were able to hear from that far, that’s an actual skill”

“Stop it!”

He didn’t yell at her, he would never -he was secretly too scared- he just raised his voice enough to show he was being serious. (y/n) looked around to make sure no one was around, she didn’t want another “scandal” on her back, she turned back to him and smirked at the flustered Cedric

“Are you jealous?”

“Yes, yes I am”

“Why? Last time I checked I am not your girlfriend”

“Like you would say yes if I asked you, I’m not stupid (y/n)”

She laughed. There it was, finally he said what she was dreaming of hearing, those sweet little words of victory,her plan worked perfectly and she got a relationship out of it, just like she had planned.

“Are you laughing at me”

“Yes I am, but not for the reason you are thinking of”

He was just looking at her, utterly confused with the way she was behaving. (y/n) tried to contain herself and got closer to him, wrapping her arms around his neck and looking straight in those beautiful eyes.

“Did you really think I would go for a boy that’s younger than me? I just wanted you to admit your feelings for me”

He felt his whole body relax, his heartbeat going back to normal. Now it was his turn to wrap his arms around her waist and spin her around, (y/n) giggled and gave him a kiss on his soft warm lips.

“You little sneaky fox”

“I didn’t get into slytherin by accident love”

Hufflepuff Headcanon:

Everyone knows that the Hufflepuff common room is right next to the kitchens, so I started thinking about how the students would use that to their advantage. And I came up with this: Every Saturday, the seventh years wake up early, around 6:00, and go in the kitchens to help the elves out. They work together, making pastries eggs, etc. Once breakfast is ready, the students make all the dorm rooms separate disks, each one filled with the favorite food of the students inside the dorm. It’s never actually confirmed that the seventh years do this, but everyone knows. One of the best things for older students are the faces of the tiny first years when they wake up to all their favorites for breakfast on the first Saturday of the year. None of the other houses understand why every Saturday, the seventh years are the only ones who show up for breakfast at the Hufflepuff table. During the last week of school, the roles switch. All the Hufflepuffs under seventh year pick a day, with out telling the oldest students, and wake up earlier. They join the house elves in their hustle, and put a buffet together. The first years take care of the drinks, the second years take care of the omelets, the third years the pastries, and so on and so forth. Once all the food is ready, they take it all to the common room and place it in the middle of the room, the tables covered with flower pedals and other accessories. They leave it there and get ready for classes earlier. The seventh years don’t leave the common room that day. Professor Sprout excuses them from all their classes, and the spend the whole day reminiscing about the years they spent together. Before they graduate, they leave a note for the soon-to-be seventh years, telling them what to do so the tradition continues. And the cycle starts again.
