being homeschooled means not being able to feel normal or at ease when interacting with peers.

it means never learning how to casually text or speak within groups of people.

it means being great with authority figures or people you deem above or more adult than you, but being completely unable to communicate with anyone your age you'd want to be friends with.

it means desperately wanting to befriend people you've met in life and follow online but failing to do so, and then having every time you see them cause you to grieve the possibility of a friendship with them because you desperately want it but know you're incapable of it.

it means being severely behind in pop culture and not really being mad at that, but still knowing that it causes an even further divide.

it means going from being extremely mature as a teenager to being extremely behind in a social life in your twenties.

#just my personal experience #having the yearly ‘i’m so completely alone and don’t have anyone to do anything with irl’ meltdown lol #and just learned my family is going to be out of town for like the rest of the month #and so I have no one to do anything with now #you’d think i’d be better at this by now but nope lol #I even joined a discord server by someone who made a tiktok about having a hard time making actual friends #and so everyone is there with that shared struggle and trying to make friends #but I can’t even talk there bc i’m so completely clueless on how to interact in group chat type things and group settings #and get too scared to send anything ahd I take so long to type one message bc I have to think about it and reread it 20 times #it doesn’t help that I feel like i’ve always been like 40 years old mentally and just don’t understand the things people my age like to do #but anyways #grace is dramatic

I don't care about Nico and Bianca's casting. I care about watching Thalia get so angry at Bianca for leaving her little brother when she never got a second chance with her own. I care about the look on her face when Percy tells her that Bianca is joining the hunters. I care about her looking over the San Francisco skyline and coming to terms with the fact that her not-so-little sister doesn't need her anymore, and she will never see her little brother again, even though he is only a few miles away. I care about those being the things that convince her to join the Hunt. I care about her seeing Jason in Nico's eyes.

Grace lost most of his stuff when his entire ship ended up in the neath, and the crew had to abandon it to look for help on foot. all he really had was his clothes & sword, and uh, twitch has both of those

1) this blog officially goes away some time in june after i graduate. or at least super specific, identifying parts of this blog go away

2) life has been good away from the internet. take a break, take a detox. personally, it made me a champion in debate thrice this season so far. the grades are up (i hate you econ from last semester). the situationship is still a situationship (sorry babes </3), but i’m becoming increasingly grateful for everything, especially when bad news comes my way

hello! i have rambling sleep deprived thoughts™ about feelings to unnecessarily scream into the Tumblr void on this lovely lovely night!! -

okay so after years of refusing to think about labels for feelings, because it seemed just too painful and complicated, I alas am starting to think more about if i’m actually romance-repulsed?

because I spent sooooo much of my life going “eww romance” even to fictional love stories. that is until I discovered ✨sapphic romance stories✨ and was like ohhhh alright I like the idea of that lol

but then I realized I was definitely on the aromantic spectrum, and didn’t even want to think about anything involving emotions for awhile, until I discovered what qpr’s were and realized I definitely ADORED the idea of having a qpp

but what makes it even more complicated is the fact that like certain romantic actions that could also happen in like a qpr, I like the idea of? but I don’t know if i’d actually like them in a real life situation

and so then now I legitimately don’t know if i’m romance repulsed. and how much of my unsure-ness about it is because of my accidental “ew romance” programming, how much if it is just not having irl experiences, and how much if it is actual romance repulsion?

and all of that makes it seem impossible to ever find a qpp to figure it out with :/

I’m trying to enter a “thoughtfully messaging people” era. so if I see something that reminds me of someone? i’m sending it to them. miss talking with someone? i’m messaging them. just want someone to know i’m thinking of them? i’m telling them that.

best case, it makes their day or it starts a conversation. worst case, they don’t respond… so i’d say those are pretty good odds.
