This is going to trigger a lot of people, but it needs to be said:
Regarding “endogenics”:
First off: let’s be clear, that science shows us that in order to have alters or a system, you MUST have severe dissociation- which is caused by trauma. This is non-negotiable, no matter how many “research studies” pro-endos share. All of these pro-Endogenic “resources” are either written BY people claiming to be Endogenic, or the article does not have a clear conclusion, or any solid evidence supporting endogenic to be possible.
Systemhood CAN NOT form after young childhood.
There is also no reason or need for the human brain to just randomly start having alters. Science proves this time and time again.
Lots of people say “well I’m multi-origin because some of my alter are Endogenic”. Just because an alter isn’t a trauma holder, does not make them Endogenic, it makes them an ANP (apparently normal part).
We need to stop letting people just get away with spreading misinformation about a very real and complex trauma disorder (DID/OSDD). We need to debunk the misinformation when we see it.
Regarding “Tulpas”:
You’re not gonna wanna hear this, but tulpamacy is NOT alters or headmates. In fact, if you’re claiming to be a “Tulpa” system, you’re appropriating an ancient spiritual practice created by Tibetan Buddhists and the way it’s being used and portrayed on the internet today is not only extremely inappropriate, but offensive.
Stop believing the first thing that pops up on google when you research into this stuff. Make sure your sources are credible and non-bias.
I also find it a little ridiculous that anyone who disagrees with endogenics even slightly, get put on a mass block list 😂😂 like, tell me you can’t handle the truth without telling me.

It kinda rubs us the wrong way when someone says "traumagenic system". You mean, a system? plain and simple?
Because "traumagenic" implies you can be a system by other means that are not trauma, what is... obviously wrong.
What are even those "-genic" things mean. What do you mean :3genic? Willowgenic?? Sillygenic??? What do you mean programmed system????
I will never understand those terms endos use. I swear, it's all just so confusing.
— Wysteria, from Ballad Of The Royals.
Hey Wysteria, agree with everything you said EXCEPT for programmed systems. From what we understand, those tend to be a type of system where they've gone through extreme cult like abuse and it causes a split. We're not experts but it's something to look into. Those are a legit system
Also we use it here simply to make it known we're anti-endo

Alright, so, we've realized we need to make something known because we've had likes from endo supporters
WE'RE ANTI ENDO
Want an inkling of why?
I can pull screenshots of an endo supporter telling us we're lucky for our PTSD and trauma and that by denying endo existence we're "abelist r-word". Was actually called that for being anti endo.
For any pro endo or endos who see this, I want you to think about this. One of you told a legitimate traumatized group of people we're lucky to have PTSD. To live in fear. And that because we deny their existence, we're abelist and not just abelist but the r-slur. Mind you, we're disabled not just physically but even have some mental ones.
We don't give a shit if your endo neutral. We don't want you interacting. Your not welcome on our page and shouldn't be in our spaces.
Yes, in maybe 5 minutes we might post a joking casual post as usual. But this is one we've had to make, especially because Magnus is fuming at the reminder of the time we were chewed out for "dictating how others view reality when we don't want them to do the same for us" because we asked some to not refer to all of us as autistic, as fir some they are affected much much more heavily than others

"A bunch of people who agree with my lies say this other person spreads misinformation, so I'm going to dismiss any sources they provide."
Tumblr media
I would say I'm surprised, but this is about the usual level of critical thought I expect from anti-endos.
Tumblr media
A couple usually means "2". I think what you mean was zero.
Tumblr media
Oh. The articles state the only possible way to develop dissociative "parts" are trauma???
What articles are those?
Hmm... Was it this one...
Tumblr media
Hmm... No... that's pretty explicitly saying that it may be possible to have multiple "self-conscious dissociative parts" through other practices such as mediumship and hypnosis.
But you know, that doesn't really mean anything does it. Just look at the authors. They're probably just nobody endogenic systems themselves...
Tumblr media
Yeah, never heard of them...
Tumblr media
See... it's just the literal creators of the Theory of Structural Dissociation!
🙄
Tumblr media
Ooh! We have a spicy hot take here!
I think what @frenzyborderlines is referring to as "normative" dissociation is referring to the ICD-11 Boundaries with Normality.
Tumblr media
(Either that, or they're just arguing with a strawman they made up. Really hard to tell.)
If so, not only are they accusing endogenic systems of "playing pretend," but also mediums and other spiritual practitioners!
Anyway, if you want more, here are the screenshots from Transgender Mental Health by Eric Yarbrough, and published by the APA.
Tumblr media
If that's what you want. 🤷‍♀️
As long as you and your anti-endo friends understand that when I post my responses in the anti-endo tags, it's on you.
Tumblr media
It's cute that you think you posting easily debunked misinformation and being proven wrong with quotes from actual experts is a "fight."

Terms the Endo Community Stolen
This might be a series. We don’t know a lot of terms but if you know some you can request, dm, or comment the term to have it posted.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sysmed: term was stolen from transmed which means “short for transmedicalist, refers to trans people who believe that dysphoria is required to identify as transgender.”
Traumascum: term was stolen from truscum which means “A queer individual that holds the belief that you require gender dysphoria to identify as transgender”.
System Hopping: an original term for polyfragmented systems/systems who experienced RAMCOA. The original meaning is hopping to side/sub systems in the same systems mind. (The endo meaning can and will most likely be used as a manipulation and gaslighting tactic as alters cannot leave one’s mind to go into someone else’s mind)
Tulpa: a closed Buddhism practice. The original is the following (please correct us if we are wrong those who are Buddhist, we are using Google for this information): a term that originates in Tibetan and Indian Buddhism. In ancient teachings it was used as a practice to show that the world around us exists as an illusion, and that the student could not trust what their senses perceived. The modern interpretation is that of a consciousness that exists parallel to your own inside your mind.
They can’t even make up their own terms they have to steal it from other people
Me when I find out that one of my favorite punk bloggers supports endos <<<<
SINGLETS, you have NO right to allow people into a community that you are not a part of. Quit allowing people to romanticize a disorder that LITERALLY stems from PTSD/C-PTSD!!!!!! Idgaf if you think they just forgot their trauma, that is not a valid excuse to let disorder fakers into a community, especially when you don't have the right to.
I know I know, I'm on Tumblr and it's all Endo accepting and shit here, but as a system, if you support them you're either misinformed or choosing to support known disorder fakers, and you should take a look at yourself if you're self proclaimed allies
Also, apparently I need to add this, endos and Endo supporters stay off of my page, I'm strictly anti endo, so unless you wanna pointlessly argue with me, fuck off
Make sure that all of you stay safe and can do something for yourselves.
Also stating that this blog is ANTI ENDO. I will block any endos or pro-endos no matter what.
For all anti-endos, I love you guys and I want the absolute best for you!
Endos are NOT welcome or valid here, even if you want to make yourself wanted. It will just become more annoying and time consuming for you. Just because I get to read the aftermath of your anger doesn’t mean that I have to deal with the time and effort it put into typing out a reply.
oooo new anti Endo syscourse blog hiya!!! :33
here's two takes for ya:
the comfort, safety and healing of people with a debilitating trauma caused disorder (DID/OSDD) is more important than the inclusion of people who claim to have something exclusive to them (systems/alters) but want to be us
endos harm newly discovered systems by making them think that they actually don't have trauma if they don't remember it and just have quirky special guy experiences instead of an actual disability
Tumblr media
hello!! it's so hard to find anti-endo blogs on here lol- i agree with both these takes tbh, i think endos are really harmful to the community, both due to them spreading misinformation and also due to how they over take a lot of the "resources" we have. by resources i mostly mean our communities and apps (simply plural is a good example of this, its pro-endo which is so frustrating but its one of the only good system app we could find). as its hard to find system spaces that don't include endos and even harder to find places that are both safe and anti-endo (as some anti endo spaces can be very iffy too, much like pro-endo spaces). and the rampant misinformation that is usually spread by endos is disgusting. especially when targeted towards newly discovered systems or just any vulnerable system that could genuinely fall for their tricks and lies to us endos are weirdos, they claim to not have a disability yet still use the terms that are related to that disability (alters, headmates, systems, ect) and they also try force themselves into our communities?? its a lot like those people on tiktok who call themselves "delulu" (spelling might be wrong) or something despite not having delusions. it makes no sense and honestly feels very ableist not to mention the amount of terms (especially ramcoa terms) they've taken over (like system hopping and system resets, which were both originally ramcoa terms that they stole) (sorry if this doesn't make much sense / is repeated a lot, its like 4am right now lol)
Stop Posting Hate and Disinformation in Endogenic Tags!
Tumblr media
Does it? Are you sure? Because that's a really bold way to start off a post in a community with a lot of people who have PTSD!
But even bolder is this claim:
Tumblr media
I would ask for the source for this, but I already know it.
youtube
Now, to be fair, there is a lot of wiggle room where some can argue semantics of what an "alter" is.
Luckily, today we aren't arguing semantics, as they made it clear in a comment that they don't believe endogenic systems are experiencing any sort of plurality! Yay!
Tumblr media
Now, back to their claims... it's true that most evidence of any forms of consciousness in psychology is based on believing people's personal experiences.
Psychology is distinct from neuroscience in this way. Hopefully, we can get neurological evidence too. Stanford University was conducting an fMRI study into tulpamancers. But that study isn't complete yet.
But it is worth noting that practically every researcher who has looked into endogenic and non-disordered plurality do believe it's a real phenomena.
As mentioned above, Stanford University has invested anywhere from tens of thousands of dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars into a neurological study of tulpamancers.
The ICD-11 by the World Health Organization states that you can have multiple "distinct personality states" without a disorder.
The creators of the theory of structural dissociation have said that hypnosis and spiritual mediumship may create "self-conscious dissociated parts of the personality."
Transgender Mental Health by Eric Yarbrough has an entire chapter discussing plurality, including acknowledging non-disordered and endogenic plurality. Eric Yarbrough is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and this book was published by APA Publishing.
And these are but a few.
Psychiatrists and psychologists overwhelming support the existence of endogenic plurality.
Tumblr media
Is there any reason for the human brain to just randomly decide to be a singlet?
Why do the 80-billion neurons in the human brain just decide to be one person? Why is a singlet treated as inherently the default for humanity?
Tumblr media
Total side tangent, but not all alters fit neatly into the ANP/EP dichotomy. The thing that defines an ANP is not simply being dissociated from the trauma, but trying to continue on with normal life and avoid it. Hence, being "apparently normal."
Many alters though, just don't fit into that as described. I would argue that a non-traumagenic alter who never fronts isn't really an ANP according to the Theory of Structural Dissociation.
Tumblr media
Yup. That's why I'm responding to this. Your post is nothing but misinformation.
Tumblr media
Most words have etymology in other cultures. Hurricane, for example, comes from an indigenous religion that referred to storm gods. This is a natural process as cultures interact.
For the record, "tulpamancy" IS created headmates. The term "tulpamancy" is purely Western, with the -mancy suffix originating in Latin. And whether you like it or not, the ongoing studies into tulpamancy will be into this Western practice, not the Tibetan sprul pa from which it draws its etymology.
Tumblr media
Maybe you should take your own advice.
Although if you have a single credible source proving that endogenic plurality can't exist, you're welcome to show me.
Tumblr media
You: "Stay out of DID/OSDD spaces" Also You: *Tags post as "#endogenic" and "#endogenic systems"*
Anyway, as always, anti-endos coming into endogenic tags means the response goes to anti-endo tags. If anti-endos do not like me posting in their tags, please take a moment to explain to @frenzyborderlines why crosstagging into our spaces is bad (and incredibly hypocritical from someone telling endogenic systems to stay out of CDD spaces) so I won't need to do this again.
Not-so-friendly reminder that you cannot be a system without trauma.
Some more proof; done by me, a person living with DID.
This is not syscourse, this is fact.
According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Illness (DSM-5), a history of childhood abuse and neglect is prevalent in 90% of cases of dissociative identity disorder (DID). The remaining cases involve medical trauma, terrorism, and childhood prostitution. Ninety percent is overwhelming. Other research claims that rates of abuse and neglect in DID are actually much higher.
DID develops in response to severe, recurring trauma in childhood. Children are not fully equipped to cope with continued, severe instances of abuse, so they may develop dissociation as a survival skill, which can then develop into DID. It makes sense, then, that the rate of childhood abuse and neglect in people with DID is so high.
https://www.healthyplace.com/blogs/dissociativeliving/2016/04/the-undeniable-connection-between-did-and-child-abuse
The authors interviewed 102 individuals with clinical diagnoses of multiple personality disorder at four centres using the Dissociative Disorders Interview Schedule. The patients reported high rates of childhood trauma: 90.2% had been sexually abused, 82.4% physically abused, and 95.1% subjected to one or both forms of child abuse. Over 50% of subjects reported initial physical and sexual abuse before age five. The average duration of both types of abuse was ten years, and numerous different perpetrators were identified. Subjects were equally likely to be physically abused by their mothers or fathers. Sexual abusers were more often male than female, but a substantial amount of sexual abuse was perpetrated by mothers, female relatives, and other females. Multiple personality disorder appears to be a response to chronic trauma originating during a vulnerable period in childhood.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2044042/
Causes
The main cause of DID is believed to be severe and prolonged trauma experienced during childhood, including emotional, physical or sexual abuse.
The development of dissociative identity disorder is understood to be a result of several factors:
Recurrent episodes of severe physical, emotional or sexual abuse in childhood.
Absence of safe and nurturing resources to overwhelming abuse or trauma.
Ability to dissociate easily.
Development of a coping style that helped during distress and the use of splitting as a survival skill.
While abuse is frequently present, it cannot be assumed that family members were involved in the abuse.
Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is the result of repeated or long-term childhood trauma, most frequently child abuse or neglect, that is often combined with disorganized attachment or other attachment disturbances. DID cannot form after ages 6-9 because individuals older than these ages have an integrated self identity and history. Trauma later in life can lead to posttraumatic stress disorder or complex posttraumatic stress disorder, other dissociative disorders including other specified dissociative disorder, somatic symptom disorders, or possibly borderline personality disorder, but DID requires an unintegrated mind to form.
