I can understand how Shuro may be a frustrating character to some folks - in fact that is kinda what he is there for, narratively speaking. But it really gives me ick when people just wanna shit on him for "being awful/the worst/an asshole"
The way I see it, the dude is his own different flavor of Autism- repressed, conditioned, awkward, and forced to participate in high society, not to mention the culture clash - and he sees laios just being his own weirdo self and he hates it --- no, thats not it. I honestly don't think he hates laios; i truly believe he hates that Laios gets to be TRUE to himself, and he (shuro) Doesn't get to be.
And it's a feeling I can understand and sympathize and empathize with, as I have been on my own personal journey to try and un-mask and deconstruct and heal myself in a world that has made me feel broken my entire life
People scream "hypocrisy" as shuro sees the same traits between the touden siblings, and is attracted to one whilst hating the other - and yes, I can agree that it's a bit hypocritical, but yall are taking it at face value and not understanding where his feelings are coming from. Shuro doesn't hate laios because he has a special interest, shuro hates that his whole life, he has had to squash himself into a form-fitting box, behave as his family commands, and now he sees laios being free of expectation, just out here being a weirdo, and shuro is possibly feeling that frustrated grief that comes with the late diagnosed autistic situation of "I could have been happy, too, but no, *I* had to be the responsible one"
... at least, that's how I view it. Coz I myself have had those thoughts. And I know, it's NOT a good look for me to be out here admitting that I have felt this way, like for example, maybe I see someone else's struggle with anxiety, whether it's online or in real life, and I have this bitter thought to myself of "yeah, I have anxiety too, but *I* was still forced to be a responsible adult anyway" which makes me momentarily frustrated.
And before anyone jumps my ass about it, NO, I definitely DO NOT think that "if I had to suffer thru it, so should everyone else" that's NOT what I'm saying. But I AM saying that, there is a bitterness, when u see someone who is able to avoid a struggle that you had to endure - that bitterness is NOT thinking that everyone should suffer as I did, but me being bitter that *I had to* at all.
Does that make sense? Coz I really feel like Shuro just gets shit on because people think he's there to interrupt the Yuri and be mean to Laois, and I really feel that he's a whole ass person. And a somewhat melancholic one, at that. He makes me think of how I had to grow up Christian whilst being queer and undiagnosed Audhd my entire life, and I would be very very surprised to hear that a large chunk of dunmeshi fans didn't ALSO grow up this way, feeling broken and stupid and tired, forced to do things the "normal people" way, and then NOT understand how Shuro feels when he sees someone who is in a position to be mostly free of that...

(Featured media: Burl Ives and Rock Hudson - from The Spiral Road, 1962)
"Fan" fiction erotica - "Hollywood Confessions: My Date With Big Daddy"
Post 4 of 4
Epilogue:
A Horny Old Bull
To conclude, I was in fact on the pill, after all, it was 1963; therefore no, I didn’t begat a cute little chubby Ives child, although sometimes I wish I had. Although that man could be a bit of a creep at times, like most men I suppose, I’ll never forget that night with Big Daddy. In fact, as much as it was embarrassing, there were other reasons why I kept that story to myself after all these years. I admit, that was the most fun I’ve ever had with a man. Sometimes I question whether I was head over heels in love with that big old brute.
As much as I wanted to see him again, I found out soon afterwards that he had actually scheduled all of those men to see him that night with the intention of not telling me, while planning on having sex with me, in order for the meetings to coincide with his coitus. I never found out exactly why he did that, and if it was his intention to use me or not. I was angry for a season and never wanted to see him again after that, but looking back, I regret not seeing him more times. I would have liked to get all of his seed in me and looked at him face to face the entire time that he had his climax. I would have liked to try other things with him, and maybe even be his mistress when he was working in Hollywood. The more I learned about what probably did happen, was that he was proud to seduce a young dancer like myself, and although I don’t like to be someone’s ‘bragging rights’, in a way I felt honored. One of the older ladies at the Manhattan cocktail party said, “sounds to me like he was just trying to get those businessmen off his back and find ways to taunt them.”
As I spoke to my girlfriends late that night, finishing my story, one of the women remarked that, perhaps that lonely old man being away from home needed a special companion, and not another ‘high-profile figure’ like himself? As we talked, one of the more educated ‘uptown’ ladies said, “if you ask me, like a lot of men in show business those days, he was desperate to try to prove that he was a heterosexual; in a similar way they constantly had to deliver proof they were not some kind of communist as well. After all, Mr. Ives worked closely with a lot of queers like Tennessee Williams and was even filmed naked along side a half-naked raging fag, Rock Hudson, just a year or so before your ‘encounter’. Although I might say there’s probably a little pink in his blanket, Big Daddy sounds like a man who was not ‘light on his feet’, in fact, quite heavy handed like your story implied, which I found to be most intriguing. I think you’ve not only made a believer out of all of us in the room, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of us are going to start chasing after men like Sebastian Cabot – you’ve certainly piqued my curiosity about a kind of man I would have not previously considered and for that, I am indeed charmed.”
But it was another lady who might have had the best explanation: “did you ever consider the fact that although Big Daddy was a bit of a sex symbol in the 50’s, that Burl Ives in the 60’s was starting to get typecast too much in children’s and family shows to the point where the public was referring to him as asexual? If I were him, I’d want to prove to my collogues that I was a fully functioning sexual person with sexual needs and abilities. After a while, no matter what he said, chances are, his peers didn’t believe him until he found a way to show proof that he had a thriving sex life.” Maybe they were all correct. Maybe he was just another creep. Maybe he was someone really special. I do cherish those memories, and I still keep his private calling card with me in my purse all these years.
The End.

AITA for immediately telling my friend about my other friends crush on him w/o permission? ⛅️ 🍂 ☕️
this sounds like a pretty quick YTA, but bear with me.
english isn’t my first language so I’m sorry for the atrocious grammar and formatting
So I (19F she/they) have been in a QPR with a guy (let’s call him Paul, 20M he/him) for a handful of months. We’re both arospec and acespec. I’m mostly out to my friends and close acquaintances, he is not out to anyone except me and one other friend due to some internalized queerphobia he’s working on (in his words “[he] is the last person you’d expect to be queer” and he doesn’t feel comfortable identifying with it yet in fear of being seen as “invasive”— especially since aspec people, men in particular, are seen as “pretenders” in some circles. I completely understand and respect this fear— I’ve dealt with it myself). We’re very close, but no one knows about the QPR except the other friend I mentioned earlier. people know we aren’t dating because I’m out as aroace. (he also gave me permission to send this AITA)
I was having lunch with a friend of mine (20NB they/all pronouns ), let’s call them Reese, and they mentioned that they have a crush on Paul and are planning to ask him out. They asked me my opinion, since I’m the closest to him, and I honestly just froze. They must have seen my hesitance because they asked if everything was alright, and then asked if he was taken. I said no, not to my knowledge. Reese asked me if I also liked him, to which I reminded them that I was aroace (they apologized immediately and genuinely so I’m not upset about that. Honest mistake). I ended up saying that I was simply surprised by the news, and that I supported their interest in him— and then immediately excused myself and went to the bathroom (social anxiety go brr).
I called Paul in the bathroom and told him that someone had a crush on him and were asking me about if I thought they should ask him out. I didn’t want to tell them he’s aroace since he isn’t out to them and it isn’t my place to say, but also wasn’t sure if I should continue to encourage them to ask him out since— idk. As someone who is currently in a monogamous QPR with Reese’s crush and knows he is aroace, I felt guilty pretending that I knew nothing while being fully aware that Reese was going to be disappointed.
I also probably had selfish motivations— I was genuinely afraid that Reese would resent me for not saying anything.
Anyway, Paul obviously needed to know the name of the person to discern whether he was comfortable with me telling them. So I gave him Reese’s name and he gave me the go ahead.
I told them when I came back from the bathroom— I tried to wait long enough so the reveal and the bathroom trip wouldn’t seem related, but failed spectacularly. Reese was visibly disappointed but not upset.
When we left the restaurant, they asked me if I had contacted Paul in the bathroom. I said— and I’m paraphrasing here— that since he wasn’t out yet, I wanted to double check to make sure he was comfortable with certain friends knowing. (Phrased in a way that suggested that nothing else was said— no mentions of crushes or anything. Which of course is a lie).
looking back on it, I probably am TA to some degree. I should have let the situation run on its own. There were also other ways (thought about three hours after the fact) I could have asked Paul without outing Reese about her crush on him (like giving him a list of friend names and having him say which friends he felt comfortable being out to). I am not the quickest thinker under pressure.
What are these acronyms?

hey, thank you for having and running this blog. you're doing the equivalent of gods work.
first, i'm sorry for the amounts of jerk anons you have to deal with. you literally articulate yourself very well and clearly, and still, people will find a way to twist it or not take it seriously. it reminds me of me "arguing" with terfs back in 2022 on twitter. (shudders.)
and second, how do you deal with the constant negativity? i have found myself doomscrolling the transandrophobia tag, and, well, to no ones surprise, my mental health is down the gutter. do you have any tips to deal with it? mainly with the transandrophobia in general? it is more than exhausting existing as a (gnc & enby) trans guy atm, and it's really getting to me. the thing is, I wouldn't mind it if it were non-queer bigots, but the fact it's coming from inside the community is devastating. i am more than hurt. this intense hatred for men and masculinity, queer, trans, or not, is incomprehensible to me. it never does anything good. anyone who says "i hate all men and anything masculine" is definitely going in the "yep that's either a radfem or a radfem hatchling" box. i partially understand as to why- i had a fear of men myself when i still identified as a girl, and slipped into the "all men bad. kill" side of the internet for a short while but ONLY because of this rhetoric ("you need to be afraid because there are men outside." , "men and masculinity are inherently predatory or dangerous")- but i got out of it because i saw how fucked it was eventually (thank goodness)- but nothing should ever be an excuse to excessively hate a gender or masculinity this badly. and its mostly gender essentialist bs anyways imo, so i do not understand it at all...it reminds me of people saying men/mascs cant be asexual because it's "in their nature to be sexual"- because testosterone. its hard. i just wish we all could respect each other. you're either "one of the bad bad evil men" or "noooooo not YOU. you're AFAB!! never!! youre a girl/woman in spirit!!" from my personal experience with terfs/radfems/idiots.
anyways, sorry for invading your anon space with this long rant, but i just wanted to leave this and the question. i hope you have a nice day/night, and thank you for reporting on transandrophobia as much as you do. it's sadly very much needed right now.
Thank you so much, this is such a kind ask to receive. To be honest with you: I don’t handle my mental health very well around it </3 It’s weighed on me pretty heavily these last few months especially. The things keeping me running this blog anyway are my passion for the transmasc community and lovely anons like yourself cheering me up. When it comes to trying to manage it, the most important thing for me has been finding people I can vent to about it who will understand. I’m lucky enough to have a wonderful discord server full of awesome trans people who will talk it through with me, and that’s been a life-saver. Staying offline for a bit and trying to engage in person with people who are unlikely to be transandrophobic towards you can be a nice relief. I catch myself doomscrolling constantly too, and it doesn’t feel great. If you need to set some sort of time limit on your phone even just to remind yourself not to do it, that’s helped me before and might help you too.
Having this much hatred levied at me for my identity from my own community lately has been devastating. I completely understand you. I’ve always been vocal about supporting transfems in particular, so it really hurts to see so many turn against me for speaking up. I understand how the queer community got this way, though. Antimasculinism has been an issue in queer and feminist spaces for ages. I think people are starting to notice it more and understand why it sucks and how much it negatively affects trans men and mascs. It feels like a losing battle sometimes with how much cultural feminism — the Men Bad Women Good flavor of pop feminism — has pervaded our communities and often led to very overt radical feminism that people still can’t always recognize because they don’t know anything about TERFs outside of them hating trans women. I believe the culture will start to shift soon such that people are able to recognize sexism and gender essentialism that harms all genders, and I will be doing my part to help that happen.

Goddamn Wheelers!
Hopper was bothering him. That wasn’t necessarily unusual, Hop had been particularly hard to shake since he decided to adopt Steve into his little family. But this was a whole ’nother level of insanity. He’d been wiggling his eyebrows at him and making obscene hand gestures at him all morning and Steve was just trying to eat his breakfast in peace.
“Why do you keep looking at me like that?” Steve blurted out. The entire table stilled at his eruption and looked between him and Hopper. Hop just sipped at his cup of coffee, cool as a cucumber.
“Who me? I’m just wondering why you didn’t introduce us to the girl you’re seeing.” Hopper told him, his expression remaining relaxed and cool.
Joyce, El, and Will turned surprised eyes towards him. Their interests were piqued. Meanwhile, Jonathan looked like he wished he could be literally anywhere else.
Steve’s eyebrows scrunched. He was not seeing a girl and he had no idea why Hopper thought he was.
“I’m not. Why do you think I am?” Hopper’s eyebrows raised.
“Yes you are! I saw you two in your car last night. Why didn’t you bring her in?” He asked.
Steve just shook his head. “Why are you so interested in meeting who I’m dating? I’m an adult, I can handle myself!”
“Why are you so embarrassed about telling me you and Nancy are back together?” Hopper yelled at him. Jonathan grimaced and tried to escape but Joyce grabbed hold of his arm to keep him there.
“Nancy and I aren’t back together!” Steve shouted in response.
“I know you are, I saw you guys making out in the driveway. Who else has hair that curly?” The air stilled as Steve’s face flushed in horror. Oh god, Hopper saw him making out with Eddie Munson. Oh no.
He was in too deep now to backtrack so he took a deep breath and looked Hopper in the eye. “... Eddie. I’m dating Eddie Munson, not Nancy Wheeler. Is that okay?”
Hopper’s face broke out in a smile. “Why wouldn’t it be okay?”
“Because he’s a guy and I’m a guy. We’re in a queer relationship. Are you okay with that?” Steve was speaking quietly, cautiously. He couldn’t wrap his head around Hopper’s reaction.
Hopper huffed out a laugh. “Of course I am. Honestly kid, you could be screwing Bigfoot himself and I would accept it as long as it meant my kids weren't dating a Wheeler.”
Steve saw Joyce and Jonathan look at each other quickly and El shyly glanced at Will. The kid was gripping his fork with a death grip and his face was pale.
“Um, Hop?” He muttered.
“Yeah kid?” Hopper still had a wide smile on his face, he looked like he just won the lottery.
“I uh, I have some bad news,” Will stammered. He glanced at Joyce who nodded at him in support.
“There’s literally nothing you could say in this moment to bring me down. I’m thrilled!” Hopper laughed. He looked over at Steve who shot him a small smile. Oh boy, if what he thought was coming was coming, Hopper wouldn’t have that smile on his face for long.
“I’m gay…”
“Will, thank you for telling me that and I will always accept you,” Hop told him.
“... and I’m dating Mike Wheeler.”
All joy fell from Hopper’s face and left behind was the most devastated expression Steve had ever seen. In fact, Steve couldn’t tell if it was a glare of the light or a tear in his eye. As quickly as it appeared, the sadness was replaced with inordinate rage.
“No! Absolutely not! Goddammit, Will! You’re better than this, what does he have on you? Some sort of leverage or blackmail or Upside Down voodoo? I’ll take that kid out.”
"He's been my best friend for my entire life and I really like him!" Will defended.
"Jesus Christ, why are you kids so attracted to that family? All of you now. That's just-that's ridiculous! I guarantee that violates some kind of bro code!" Hop ranted, waving his arms around heatedly.
Perhaps Eddie was rubbing off on Steve in more ways than one because he decided to cause some problems for his own amusement. "Jon is thinking about getting back together with Nancy."
He wasn't but seeing the outrage on Hopper's face was worth it. He opened his mouth to rant at a scared looking Jonathan but Joyce cut him off.
“Alright kids, time for you to go! Have fun today, be safe, listen to Steve!” Joyce ushered them away from the table and out the door.
Steve, Will, El, and Jonathan practically bolted from the house. They could still hear Hopper screaming about “no good Wheelers” and “that fucking toothpick” and all sorts of other insults as they climbed into the Beemer.
“Uh Steve?” Jonathan asked him.
“Yeah?” Steve asked, looking over at him.
“Are these the seats you were making out with Eddie on?” Steve looked back out the windshield and tried to hide his blush.
“Don’t ask questions you don’t want the answers to.”
He drove all the way to the Wheeler house for DnD with groans of disgust and fake gagging filling his ears.

I find it fascinating to witness the straight audience of any media not being able to pick up what the makers of the movie/show puts down.
It’s like when people reacted to the “You wear fine things well” scene in Our Flag Means Death with “aw, they’re such good friends” whereas the queer audience went “omg, this is happening”. We all had access to the same scene, we’d all watched the build up to that scene but the straight audience wrongly read it as friends/straight whereas the queer audience had suspected they were building up to a romance but this was the confirmation. Even the creator of the show was baffled that people were surprised that Ed and Stede fell in love. Because he thought they had made it obvious.
And as I said, we, the queer audience picked up on it. And I feel like the same thing is happening with Ted Lasso. Do I know that Ted and Trent will get together? No, I am unfortunately not a writer on Ted Lasso. But you can’t deny that there are clues pointing to it. But the straight audience barely pick up the fact that Ted and Trent like each other, be that in a platonic way or romantic way. I’ve seen several reactions to the last episode of season 2 and ONE of them included the scene where Ted reacts to Trent not being in the press room. All of them severely cut down the scene in the parking lot. One of the scenes most of us Ted/Trent truthers point to as a huge piece of evidence for it going canon. The parallel of them meeting in an empty parking lot, just like Ted and his ex-wife and Roy and Keeley. But because Ted and Trent are both men it couldn’t possibly mean anything. And Ted has an ex-wife and a kid so he can’t possibly be into men, as if there is no such thing as being bisexual. “But I’m pretty sure Trent has a family, he has a kid right?” So? He could be divorced, we also have no idea if his daughter has another dad or a mum. And the same thing applies to him, it doesn’t mean he can’t be into men (take also into account all of James Lance’s interviews, and his choice of shirt in one of them, friend of Dorothy anyone? He's the captain of this ship, we're just along for the ride tbh.)
Then we have the wonderful “I’m so not homophobic, in fact, you are homophobic because you think Ted is gay just because he likes musicals and has ‘feminine’ traits” um no… it’s the fact that he kind of acts in a way that an ally wouldn't. Yeah, he called himself an ally in that one episode. But every single person who is now out as queer who at one point considered themselves an ally because "I’m not one of them but I sure think they're neat" raise a hand 🖐️ (been there, done that. Was very into queer things before I realised I myself am one of them). What it always comes down to is "it's pandering", "it's tokenism" (having the main character on the show be queer wouldn't be fucking tokenism), "not everything has to be gay", "why can't men just be friends, there is a severe lack of male friendships on tv". And like the last one makes me go??? There are a MILLION friendships between men on TV. There are even multiple friendships between men in Ted Lasso. Beard and Ted, Ted and Higgins, Ted and Roy, the himbos and so on. Having Ted and Trent become a couple wouldn't really change anything because there are still friendships between men. They also claim that Ted is needed as the "straight without toxic masculinity" representation. As if Beard isn't right there. The man who has no problem going to an immersive show about the menstrual cycle. Has no problem with shrieking when he's surprised and so on.
I also like that if we'd get Ted and Trent together, we'd get two middle aged queer dads. Which isn't that common. It's not even super common to see people realising they're queer late in life on TV, and yet it happens every day. Because let's face it, most queer men on TV kind of look like Colin, and I don't mean that as a bad thing. And I'm looking forward to his storyline. But it's also nice seeing middle aged or old people finding themselves and being allowed to be who they are (see Ed and Stede from OFMD). Also would enjoy seeing people lose their minds when they realise they've been fooled this entire time. It'll be like Black Sails all over again.
I do not have any doubts about the fact that, had Trent or Ted been a woman and they saw Trent give up his career because of Ted's influence, they sure as hell wouldn't protest people thinking they'd become a couple. But because it's two men it's just delusional for some reason (homophobia).
What I'm saying is, it's clear that the straight audience has a hard time picking up subtext and clues that the makers are planting. Because they've never had to do that. Because they are always clearly represented. They don't have to look for minor side characters and hope that they might be queer. Because the main character is straight and most of the supporting cast too. When you've grown up with a lack of representation or with representation that is meant to be subtext, you'll learn to pick up on it. And you do look at media differently. I just wish that the straight audience could listen to us for once, without getting defensive and dancing around the fact that they are uncomfortable relating to a character that turned out to be queer.

Steve Harrington's Mother's Day Surprise
Warning: mentions of unprotected sex. Wrap it before you tap it. Male carriers. Mature talk. It's very long.
Summary: Sex, lies, unplanned pregnancy, and found family.
18+ MINORS DNI
Steve Harrington found out he was pregnant on Mother's Day. Yep, pregnant. Steve Harrington was pregnant. He wanted so badly to blame his parents. Okay, that sounds wrong, but it's not what you think. They should have warned him this could happen. They knew what he was, and they hadn't told him. Steve Harrington was a male carrier. It was supposed to be a myth, a story to tell your queer kids not to sleep with men. Apparently, it was real, and the story hadn't stopped Steve from getting railed by a man.
"What's the bathroom emergency?" Robin asked, stumbling into his bathroom, breathlessly, and plopped down on the floor in front of him.
"I'm pregnant," Steve said.
"Seriously! That's what you called me over for? A joke? You know, I was about to invite Vickie over and then you - " Robin started, and Steve slapped a hand over her mouth.
"I'm a male carrier, a fact my parents neglected to tell me," Steve said. "I'm pregnant, Robin."
He removed his hand from her mouth, and it dropped open.
"You're a male carrier. . .you're pregnant. . .but that means you had sex. . .with a man!" Robin exclaimed. "When? Where? Who? What?!"
"It was spring break, I went to deliver Eddie some food. He was ranting and freaking out about going to jail, and then he went on about how he didn't want his first time to be in jail. He did NOT want to be somebody's bitch. Guy or girl, it didn't matter to him. If he was going to go out, he was going out with a bang. He did NOT expect me to offer myself up on a platter, but you know that I know about me. I just haven't had sex with a guy, and Eddie was pretty. The next thing I know he was fucking me against the wall of the boathouse and I loved it. Now, he's in a coma, and I don't know what to do, Robin," Steve rambled on.
"Wow, I think I rubbed off on you. That was a Robin sized ramble. Hey, dingus, breathe with me. Okay, I want you to focus on my breathing and then yours. Steve, do you want to keep this baby?" Robin asked.
"More than anything," Steve sniffled softly.
"Well, you know, just because Eddie's in a coma right now doesn't mean that you're alone, alright, because you have a huge support system who's willing to help you. So, don't think you have to do this alone, okay?" Robin said.
"Okay."
"Hey, Steve?"
"Yeah?"
"You're going to be a mom."
"I'm a man, and I'm going to be a mom!"
"And a damn good one. Happy Mother's Day, Steve. . . Wait. Did you have you unprotected sex with a guy?!"
"There weren't any condoms! Eddie was a virgin and I just got tested! OW! You're aren't supposed to hit expectant mothers, Robin!"
"Dangerous!"
It was still a little early to be telling everyone about the pregnancy, but they did tell Joyce, Hop, and Wayne. Robin managed to keep him from rambling out all the details, but he managed to tell them the basics. He had invited the Byers and Wayne to stay with him until they found a place of their own. The house was Steve's now, so he could do what he wanted and he loved having everyone there.
"Oh, I just can't believe your parents never told you," Joyce said furiously.
"Well, they never thought I would end up sleeping with a guy so it was easier for them to pretend like I wasn't weird," Steve said.
"You're not weird, honey," Joyce said.
"Not weird for that anyways," Robin snorted and Steve laughed, nudging her.
"Like you're one to talk," Steve said.
"I am the weirdest!" Robin said proudly and Joyce laughed.
"You said you're about 7 weeks or so, right?" Wayne asked.
"Yeah."
"That's right around spring break, isn't it?" Wayne asked and Steve nodded. "Eddie's the father?"
"Yes," Steve said, looking down at his feet and Wayne went quiet for a moment.
"You know, Eddie always wanted to be a father," Wayne said.
"He does?" Steve asked, looking up.
"Yeah, but he said that it was probably never going to happen for him," Wayne said. "I'm glad he was proven wrong. I'm here for you, son."
"Yes, Steve, so are we," Joyce said.
"Whatever you need, kid, just ask us," Hop said.
"I told you they'd support you," Robin said in a sing song voice.
"Yeah. I believed you."
"Mmm, I don't think you did."
Steve was now in his second trimester and he was glad that the morning sickness seemed to have stopped. He was starting to show now so he had to start wearing baggy sweaters to hide it from the kids. He still hadn't told them yet. He was far along now that he could tell them but he wasn't ready yet. Steve wanted Eddie to wake up. He was sitting by Eddie's bedside, knitting a pair of socks for the baby.
"I don't think those will fit me," a voice croaked.
Steve looked up to find Eddie looking at him and he dropped the socks, jumping to Eddie's side.
"You're awake!" Steve exclaimed and burst into tears.
"I did not expect that reaction," Eddie said. "Are you happy or disappointed?"
Steve leaned down and pressed a hard kiss to his lips.
"Okay, happy it is," Eddie said.
"I'm going to call Wayne," Steve cried and kissed him again before running out the door.
They were all so happy that he was alive they were all talking at once, and the explanation sort of got jumbled. Eddie was wake, Vecna was defeated, and Max was okay. She just needed glasses. Also, he would be living with Steve and the Hopper-Byers. He would be living with the same guy who used to arrest him and buy weed from him. He wasn't sure how to feel about that, but apparently, he was also the guy who got his name cleared, so he was grateful.
"No one said but how long was I in coma for?" Eddie asked sitting on Steve’s bed.
They had gotten Eddie all settled in Steve’s room but they didn't stay long, pushing everyone out of the room which was odd. Wayne and Hop had to grab Dustin by each arm to drag him out.
"Sirs, you are manhandling a child!" Dustin had yelled.
"13 weeks," Steve replied.
"That's specific," Eddie said and Steve blushed. "So. . .I guess you kissing me meant that you don't want what happened in the boathouse to be just a one time thing?"
"No, I don't," Steve said. "Do you?"
"Nope! Come here," Eddie said and made grabby hands at him.
Steve stood in between his legs as Eddie placed his hands on his hips. Eddie gazed at him with a smile on his face.
"What?"
"You're so beautiful, you know that?" Eddie asked and pulled him into his lap.
He kissed him and Steve smiled against his lips, pressing his lips eagerly against Eddie's. They were exploring each other's mouths when Eddie's fingers started to slip under his sweater. Steve broke the kiss and stopped his hand from going further.
"There's something that I need to tell you before we go any further," Steve said.
"Okay?"
"I'm a male carrier and I didn't know that when we had sex. My parents didn't tell me," Steve said quickly.
"Uh, are you saying - are you - you're - am I going to be a daddy?" Eddie asked.
"Yeah, you are!" Steve exclaimed. "And I'm going to be a mommy!"
Eddie laughed and kissed him hard. As they were kissing, they didn't hear the thundering of footsteps and so when the door burst open, they both screamed.
"You guys are going to have a baby!" Dustin exclaimed with a grin.
"Wait, how did you - El," Steve said with realization.
She had the decency to at least look guilty. Wayne appeared huffing behind them.
"Steve, how the hell do you manage to wrangle all these cattle?" Wayne asked.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Dustin asked.
"Oh, I don't know, maybe because I wanted the father of my child to know before you guys did," Steve said.
"That makes sense," he said.
"Does it? Does it make sense?" Steve asked.
"Wow, bitchy Steve comes out to play," Dustin said, still smiling.
"Well, I am being bitchy for two now," Steve replied.
"Everyone out!" Wayne yelled.
"I got this, Wayne," Hop said, pulling out a water bottle and started spraying them with it. "Give them some goddamn privacy!"
They started screaming and leaving the room.
"They're not cats, Hop!" Joyce exclaimed with a laugh.
"It's working, isn't it?" Hop asked.
"We're happy for you!" Dustin exclaimed as they left and Hop sprayed him. "Goddamnit, we're leaving!"
"I love our family," Eddie said as he laughed.
ABOUT NINE MONTHS LATER. . .
"I'm really sorry I bit you," Steve sniffled.
"You were in a lot of pain, sweetheart, I don't blame you," Eddie cooed softly. "Besides, I'll tattoo the bite mark as a reminder of what occurred here."
"Our daughter's not a good enough reminder?" Steve asked.
"Please, don't bite me again," Eddie pleaded, and Steve kissed him. "You did so good, baby. Look at her."
Eddie's eyes filled up with tears, and his lip started trembling as he gazed down at his daughter. They were back at home now, Winnifred Robin Munson was tucked safely in her bassinet and fast asleep.
"If you start crying, I'm gonna cry, and I'm so tired of crying," Steve said.
"I just want to look at her forever," Eddie said.
"Guys, you should be sleeping," Joyce said softly. "We'll wake you when she needs you."
"I miss her," Steve said as he walked down the hallway.
"Me too."
"No, I miss her being inside of me," Steve said. "Let's make another one."
"Okay!"
"No! If I hear you guys fooling around in there, I'll come in there and hose you down," Hop whisper yelled. "Sleep."
"Kinky, Chief," Eddie grinned. "Nana and Bunny are bossy."
"She is not calling me Bunny," Hop hissed at him.
A FEW MONTHS LATER. . .
Steve woke up and noticed that he had slept in for once. Just then, the door to his bedroom opened, and in came Eddie with a tray of food.
"Happy Mother's Day, Stevie!" Eddie grinned brightly.
Steve yawned, sat up, and rubbed his eyes.
"The house is oddly quiet. Where is everyone?" Steve asked.
"Winnie is with her Bunny and Grandpa Wayne. Jonathan, Will, and El took Nana Joyce out to breakfast," Eddie said.
"So, we have the house to ourselves? We could do whatever we wanted to as loudly as we wanted to?" Steve asked.
"It's your day. It's whatever you want to do," Eddie said.
"What if I want to do you?" Steve asked.
"I wouldn't say no to that," Eddie smiled.
Steve kissed him, smiling against his lips.
"But first, we eat," Steve said. "I am eating for two after all."
"What?"
"I'm pregnant, Eddie," Steve told him.
"Oh my, you little slut," Eddie cackled.
"Says the guy who knocked me up," he replied.
"I didn't say I wasn't a slut myself, especially for you," Eddie replied.
"Are you happy?"
"Eh, I can't complain," Eddie said and Steve slapped his chest. "I'm very happy, baby. Are you?"
"Extremely."
"Oh, by the way, Gareth says him and the guys have a surprise for Winnie. He wants to come by next weekend," Eddie said as he fed Steve a bite of food.
"You already know what the surprise is, don't you?" Steve asked.
"Of course! They created a baby one-shot adventure for our princess with giant foam dice and everything! They even had a onesie made for her! I mean, we're probably going to have to do the work for her, and it's probably going to mostly just them telling her a story, but still. . . cutest thing ever!" Eddie exclaimed.
Steve watched his lover ramble on, moving his arms about as he did so. Yeah, Steve Harrington was very happy.

people saying, oh it wasn't intended from the beginning so it wasn't intentional thus has to stay fanfiction bug me. like, shows can develop organically based on chemistry. they can surprise you and take you in a direction that wasn't planned but now just works. like, fucking, chandler and monica wasn't planned from the beginning! but the actors had chemistry and the writers tried it out and it became iconic. you don't throw something away just because it surprised you instead of being pre-planned; you cultivate whatever gold you find!
With Hollywood entertainment in particular, I think there is a lot of ignorance regarding how the creative process, production process, post-production process, and business all work. It is readily apparent that in Hollywood, there are many hands in the kitchen when it comes to creating a movie, documentary, or show. The "Original Intent" argument is weakest when it comes to Hollywood art, and in fact fails to be a viable argument in multiple areas. I will discuss how the "Original Intent" argument fails in Hollywood in more depth under the read more, using what I know from having worked in the industry myself as a writer. And to be honest, the fact I have to pull my private professional history out online, just to prove I'm not being delulu when it comes to the importance of queer subtext in film, pisses me the fuck off.
To be clear, since this whole discourse mess on my Tumblr is likely the result of someone thinking I'm an anti-sylki: I AM NOT AN ANTI. I have an extensive analysis on Sylvie as an integral character to the Loki series, Sylki in canon, and her relationship with Mobius here.
I agree with you: a lot of amazing art deviates from the original intention, especially writing. If deviating from original intent in the writing process did not exist, we would not have DRAFT REVISIONS, we would not have IMPROV, we would not have EDITORS (whose entire job hinges on giving the writer not only grammar corrections, but feedback on how to IMPROVE character, plot, and pacing, which inherently means making changes from the original intent!). This is to say nothing of the thousands, if not tens or hundreds of thousands, of media scholars--with actual PhDs--who spend years of their lives performing meta-analysis to write academic papers on subject matters like this. Papers that become formal publications and contribute to how queer history is taught in universities! This is no different than academic scholars analyzing women and race representation and resistance in film. Why should analyzing queer representation and resistance in film be treated any less?
LET'S TALK ABOUT ORIGINAL CREATIVE INTENT VS POWER HIEARCHY & POLITICS IN HOLLYWOOD
For context with respect to this ask, a different Tumblr user critiqued against queer subtext in one of my posts using the "original intent" argument for the Loki series and Lokius specifically. By this logic, if original intent is always honored, then the original script for Loki's S2E5 (written by Eric Martin) would not have been NUKED by the executive powers that be at Marvel. [source] But no, the original intent was not honored, it was rejected. So how does one square the primacy of original intent with original intent being rejected by people who are not the artist but the people who manage Disney's finances?
In television, "Executive Producer" (i.e. Tom Hiddleston, Michael Waldron, Eric Martin, etc.) is a title that can be given to a writer or actor who has more creative say in the execution of a story than a regular staff writer or actor on crew. It also indicates that the writer or actor is in a much higher salary range compared to their professional peers. It does NOT mean the same thing as a CORPORATE "Producer" of Kevin Feige's level, who ultimately has the FINAL SAY on what does NOT end up on the cutting room floor. The corporate Producer must take into account the wishes of corporate's shareholders and board of directors, who are often multi-million if not multi-billion global investors who need the distribution of the product to succeed internationally in countries like China, which is very anti-LGBTQAI+. This is how a script like Eric Martin's S2E5 can be nuked and the writer can be contractually gagged from talking about its specific contents by Disney, lest they be SUED TO HELL for breaking their non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
This doesn't even take into account politics.
In 2020, Ike Perlmutter, Chair of Marvel, "gave $575,000 to Trump For Victory, $35,500 to the Republican National Committee in April, $5600 for Texans For Ronny Jackson in February. 2019 saw him donate $248,000 to the Republican National Committee, $466,100 to Trump For Victory, $5,600 to Donald Trump For President." His wife, Laura, mirrored those donations. "In late 2016, he also gave $5,000,000 to the Great America PAC." [source] Ike was only recently laid off from his position in March 2023 [source]. Perlmutter was in a power-struggle at Marvel with Kevin Feige for years. Feige was promoted to Chief Creative Officer in 2019, which brought the power struggle to a head, ultimately contributing to Perlmutter's departure.
There is also Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, who was famously quoted during the Writers Guild of America strike for saying, “It’s very disturbing to me. We’ve talked about disruptive forces on this business and all the challenges we’re facing, the recovery from COVID which is ongoing, it’s not completely back. This is the worst time in the world to add to that disruption”
This is the worst time in the world to negotiate to pay your writers, YOUR CREATIVE LABOR FORCE, who entertained millions of people while they were stuck in their homes for 2 years, fairly?
And these are just two men in executive power at Marvel and Disney. We're not even talking about all the other board members and shareholders. You think Tom Hiddleston, Michael Waldron, and Eric Martin have any real power compared to these guys? They do not. They are peons by comparison. And these artists (despite their "Executive Producer" title) are always at odds with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), who are ultimately not artists but FINANCIERS.
Here's another quote from a studio executive that occurred during the writer's strike:
"Receiving positive feedback from Wall Street since the WGA went on strike May 2, Warner Bros Discovery, Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Disney, Paramount and others have become determined to “break the WGA,” as one studio exec blatantly put it.
To do so, the studios and the AMPTP believe that by October most writers will be running out of money after five months on the picket lines and no work.
“The endgame is to allow things to drag on until union members start losing their apartments and losing their houses,” a studio executive told Deadline. Acknowledging the cold-as-ice approach, several other sources reiterated the statement. One insider called it “a cruel but necessary evil.”" [source 1] [source 2]
Fortunately, this negative press and the WGA members' solidarity led to the WGA getting everything they demanded. I still have friends in the industry, specifically in the WGA and MPEG. A lot of them were indeed starved out. My friend who's a film editor is still unemployed because pre-production has only recently started to ramp up again and her profession is all in post. She has to wait for production to catch-up and finish in order to get work.
If the AMPTP is willing to use clearly unethical tactics to underpay their writers and actors (don't forget the SAG-AFTRA strike that joined later), do we really think members of the AMPTP (the studio execs) are willing to honor artists' original intent if the original intent may be "offensive to some viewers" and therefore can potentially cut into their financial bottom line?
We're not naive. We know the answer to this.
OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH, KILLING EVE, AND GOOD OMENS
But what about OFMD, KE, and GO? These shows are on MAX, BBC, and Amazon Prime respectively. These corporations have a different branding image than Disney. Disney touts itself as "family friendly"; (read: on-screen LGBTQAI+ affection between two lead characters is "not family friendly"). MAX and BBC's branding type also affords them the luxury of creating content for niche audiences. Disney, on the other hand, makes additional revenue through using their plethora of licenses to make toys, additions to their theme parks, and other merch. If a parent is offended that a canonically queer character like Loki has romantic love not just for Sylvie but also for Mobius (a same-sex relationship), what are the odds of parents like them not buying Disney's merchandise? We can apply this same question to Star Wars, Pixar, and any of Disney-branded animation or live action movies. How deeply can audience offense potentially cut into Disney's bottom line? If there were no discrimination taking place, we would have LGBTQAI+ representation through a lead character in any one of their licenses already. We do not, and that is a huge red flag.
In addition, these entertainment corporations (who do not tout themselves as "family friendly") generate other sources of revenue elsewhere. Netflix generates international revenue through the production of international programming like "Squid Game" and other K-dramas such as "The Glory" or Mexican shows including, "The Surrogacy" and "Haunted: Latin America". MAX is struggling. They were bought out for that reason. With AppleTV and Hulu, their target audiences are more diverse, they offer a variety of media product, and their business strategy is ultimately different from Disney. All of this grants them more freedom in what kind of characters they choose to represent, including LGBTQAI+ characters.
Remember House and Wilson from House M.D.? That show was on FOX. We know the political alignment of FOX. Dean and Castiel from Supernatural? WB Television. Both shows came out before streaming became dominant, and thus, these shows had to cater to anyone who might happen to land on their channels. When the market demands that you cater to the widest possible audience in order to generate the largest revenue, the creatives are forced to create relatively conservative artistic product. Hence, creative censorship and our long history of queer subtext.
At Nickelodeon, the artists actually had the support of corporate to move forward with Korrasami because the final season Legend of Korra was only available online. It did not air on their channel. If that had not been the case, corporate would not have approved Korrasami. However, that approval was contingent upon the artists being subtle subtle about Korra and Asami's relationship. Even in this canon ship, the animators relied on subtext for queer romance.
Not helping Disney's case is the cancellation of "The Owl House". Why was "The Owl House" canceled? It didn't fit Disney's "brand". [source]
THE FAILURES OF THE "ORIGINAL INTENT" ARGUMENT IN HOLLYWOOD
The "Original Intent" argument fails when it comes to art in Hollywood because:
Original Intent can change, and often does change, during the creative process. This applies to all forms of art, not just Hollywood.
Multiple artists are involved in pre-production, production, and post-production. At any point in this 3-part process of filmmaking, original intent can be changed for a variety of reasons.
Studio Executives, Boards of Directors, and Corporate Shareholders have more power than the artists in Hollywood. If they think a product will not make money, they will order changes accordingly.
Disney specifically touts itself as "family friendly". Its lack of a lead character (in ANY of its live-action licenses) being in an openly queer relationship with someone who presents as the same sex, is the direct result of not wanting to lose conservative audiences.
Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are common in Hollywood and prevent artists from providing specifics regarding original intent. This is done not only to safeguard corporate's intellectual property (IP), but to also safeguard their public relations image.
THE ORIGINAL INTENT ARGUMENT WEAPONIZED
The "original intent" mindset can be either very naive or very cynical, depending on the thinker's motives for choosing this belief. Naive, in that thinking creative purity actually exists (it does not) or that oppression does not still occur in Hollywood (it does). Cynical, in that either the thinker doesn't believe in artists intentionally finding ways around mass produced arts' media censorship, which has in turn created our rich history of queer subtext in film, OR the thinker wants the "original intent" argument to invalidate a change they do not like.
The last motive is the same strategy used by fans who reject Miles Morales as being a real Spider-Man. The same strategy fans use to deny that Shuri is indeed the new Black Panther. Both are tactics used to mask racism and sexism beneath the veneer of "creative purity". Fans who have internalized racism, sexism, or queer-phobia may also use this tactic at a subconscious level to protect themselves emotionally from disappointment. Finally, there are fans who use this argument to invalidate another ship, usually a queer ship that cannot be formally canonized because of corporate studio power.
Regardless of the reasoning, using this argument is frequently insidious because it perpetuates straight white male dominance in media representation.
PERSONAL LIVED EXPERIENCE
I'm an old poc queer and have worked in Hollywood long enough to know that the writers' original vision rarely ever--IF EVER--pans out as originally intended. If you ever sit through a movie and wonder why the story feels so weird in certain parts, I can guarantee you that about 2/5ths of the time, a corporate producer stepped in and messed with the original story in post-production (usually in an poor, over-worked editor's dark editing bay) and ordered reshoots the director may not have agreed with.
I've also worked in the industry long enough to know that it is an absolutely toxic work environment in which women, people of color, and queer people still struggle to get a creative foothold anywhere. My first experience pitching a script to a prospective agent involved being asked to meet at a hotel for drinks. We didn't talk about my writing at all. What I thought would be a pitch meeting was actually the writer's version of the "Hollywood casting couch". Yes, I was propositioned. No, nothing happened to me. I walked out. This happened to me in June 2008. It was not my last experience. The "Me Too" movement that came years later in 2017 was in response to situations I have encountered like this.
Those of us who succeed are very rare, and 97% of the time, the executive staff is very, very white and male. There is absolutely oppression and exploitation of all sorts still happening in Hollywood. I fucking lived it and continue to have nightmares about it.
QUEER SUBTEXT STILL EXISTS
Thus, to deny queer subtext's validity as an art form and to only accept the words of those who are either in power or limited in what they can say because of those in power, undermines not only the artists' efforts to tell the story they want to tell but cannot tell explicitly, it also undermines queer joy and queer resistance in cinema. And yes, sometimes those artists are cis straight white male allies who want to tell these stories because they simply make sense for the characters. These people are the artists, not the financiers.
It's more mature to embrace, or at least leave alone, the loud joy others experience from shipping and performing meta-analysis instead of publicly pissing on them with the profoundly weak and ignorant argument of "original intent". Don't mess with me on this. The number of scripts I have worked on that completely warped from what I wanted, and then to have my writing credit removed or stolen, still makes me sick. Yes, I'm bitter, but I'm also glad I left.

Hi guys, it's Vic! Also known as:
Tumblr media
Round TWO at addressing the extreme racism in the CoD fandom!
So it’s both odd and funny that my Indigenous fem!OC has pissed off so many random people, especially with the fact that I created her to ship with Ghost.
(A fictional character that has NO canon love interest, FYI. Sorry to bust y'all's little bubble. Well, there's Mara and Urban Tracker....)
Anyways, I really don't care if this post sounds bitchy in nature. I really don't, not anymore. Some of y'all need a damn wakeup call. Several months ago, in December of 2023, I made a post (here) regarding the sudden influx of hate I began receiving following the posting of my OC, SilentDove Reyes. For around two weeks after that post, the hate died down, and I felt motivated to create more content involving Dove and Ghost.
Until the hate picked up again with every little thing I posted that related to my OC x Ghost.
However....this new hate incorporated the MMIW. A bold ass move, in my opinion.
If you are not aware, the MMIW stands for "Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women." Alternate spellings include the MMIWG & MMIWGTS (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirits). As of 2023, statistics indicate that Indigenous women face a 10x murder rate than any other race/ethnicity. I have made a previous post regarding the issue, seen here. The unfortunate truth is that young Indigenous girls are more likely to be SA'd and murdered than to attend college. Let that sink in for a moment.
Now, I am an Indigenous woman. That is no surprise there; I fashioned my OC to provide myself (and, by extension, others) with Native representation in a franchise I greatly enjoy. What IS surprising, however, is that me doing so has pissed off so many people. I'm very certain some of y'all must descend from Andrew Jackson, or John Wayne cause, christ on a bike driven by a pike.
Here is a screenshot of a hate anon I recently received:
Tumblr media
Listen, I don't care who you ship Ghost with. I really don't. I've blocked numerous shipping tags, remained mindful of the content I'm interacting with, and surrounded myself with fellow mutuals who also have personal OCs. It is really that easy.
What I do care about is the fact that some of you CANNOT separate fanon headcanons from canon material.
Exhibit A:
Tumblr media
So let’s clear some stuff up!
Soap x Ghost is NOT canon.
Ghost being queer is NOT canon.
And, most definitely, Ghost being a woman abuser who would harm/abuse/murder a woman (either physically, emotionally, psychologically) is NOT canon.
What IS canon is his and Soap's strong bond. In my eyes, that is a brotherly bond, reminding me of a big brother/little brother relationship; in my fanfiction, Soap is Ghost's children's uncle. In fact, his son (second-born child) is named after him.
You are, of course, free to view them as romantic; what you are not free to do is attack OC creators/non-shippers for not perceiving them like that.
That is just fucking weird and delusional behavior. Knock it off. You're giving your fellow normal shippers a bad name.
ALSO! Let’s clear things up!
Tumblr media
1. I’m not straight — I’m bisexual and demisexual.
2. I’m only half white (Spanish, with Mexican heritage). I’m QUITE LITERALLY an enrolled Native, so I guess the best way to describe me is “biracial.”
3. It’s y’all ruining the canon gay representation by shipping Laswell—a GAY woman—with Price, despite the fact that she canonically has a wife.
4. My OC does not have a “dumb fucking name.” Her name is an Indigenous name with a specific backstory to it; it’ll be explored further in future fanfics once I find the motivation to return to writing.
Anyways, I highly doubt this will be the last post I create regarding this problem; apparently, a nice chunk of the fandom has this intense animosity towards fem!OCs, fem!Y/Ns, and BIPOC!OC creators. Alright. With that being said, I invite anyone who has similar experiences to share yours, either in the reblogs or in separate posts.
As sometimes we say during pow wows:
“The floor is all yours.”
Thank you!

The Lost Girls of Camp Forevermore - Kim Fu
Summary: A group of young girls at sleepaway camp get stranded in the woods by themselves in Canada (sound familiar?). The narrative alternates between what happened in the woods, and a vignette from each girl in their adult life.
Yellowjackets connection: This book is so spiritually similar to Yellowjackets it’s wild. The way that we see what happened in the woods and flash forward to the adults and how it affected them. The way that it's partially about the viciousness that comes out when girls are left alone. The way that hierarchies break down in the woods. I find myself thinking about this book while watching Yellowjackets.
Is it queer?: only a very little with one character in her adult life
My Brilliant Friend - Elena Ferrante
Summary: Elena and Lila are two intelligent girls growing up in poverty in 1950’s Naples. They have an obsessive and competitive relationship. Elena is able to get an education when Lila is not, and their paths diverge here. The entire four-part book series follows their relationship and distinct lives into late adulthood.
Yellowjackets Connection: My Brilliant Friend is about a lot more than just female friendship, class differences foremost. But obsessive homoerotic female friendships and their complications are front and center. The Neapolitan series follows Elena and Lila as they grow into adults and have their own children, so it shows young women and the adults they grow into. Also has themes of trauma, unreliable narrators, patriarchy, jealousy, ambitious women.
If you follow my tumblr you know I will connect anything to MBF but Yellowjackets writers did it for me in the show. They literally said Shauna/Jackie = Elena/Lila. If you don’t remember, this is when adult Shauna has dinner with Jackie’s mom who says she’s reading MBF and that the girls in the book remind her so much of Shauna and Jackie. She meant it as an insult to Shauna but it really is a great comparison. Especially since Lila and Elena def had something vaguely fruity going on (but also for other, spoilery reasons). Elena Ferrante is pretty much the go-to when it comes to writing about complicated female friendships so it is not a surprise that they reference it in the show. If you are obsessed with the Shauna/Jackie “friendship” this book series is for you!
Is it queer? if you consider Jackie and Shauna’s relationship to be queer then yes. There is a lot of subtext and in the later books a little more than subtext.
Cat’s Eye - Margaret Atwood
Summary: A painter returns to where she grew up and memories that she blocked out of a traumatic childhood friendship resurface.
Yellowjackets connection: Women thinking about their traumatic friendships! And how these affected them going forward in life. The girls in this are a little younger than Yellowjackets girls but I think it is still a foundational text about traumatic female friendships and unreliable narrators. I am absolutely a Margaret Atwood apologist so don’t come for me (or do. I love messages in my inbox)
Is it queer?: no ):
Big Swiss - Jen Beagin
Summary: Greta is a transcriber for a sex therapist where she learns all sorts of intimate details of his clients. She becomes obsessed with a client and even starts a sexual relationship with her! She does not disclose her prior knowledge of this woman so things get messy.
Fun fact for Killing Eve fans: It is going to be made into a series starring Jodie Comer!
Yellowjackets connection: This is the only book on this list that doesn’t really flash between old and young versions of a character (a bit at the end). Yet I think it deserves to be on this list because messy queer women and obsession and mental illness. Also now that I am thinking about it actually the main character does think about her childhood in the woods a bit...
Is it queer?: The main relationship is between two women and they have a lot of sex. So, yes!
Trust Exercise - Susan Choi
Summary: Don’t want to spoil any of the big reveals but it’s vaguely about highschool  theatre kids and their unhealthy dynamic with their abusive theatre teacher. Trigger warnings for statutory rape and general predatory behavior.
Yellowjackets connection: The reason I put this on my list is because it is about women in high school going through trauma and their adult selves dealing with it. It is about the stories they tell themselves to cope. It is about unreliable narrators. It is about narrative and truth and figuring out what actually happened. The book will not tell you directly, you have to discover it yourself (or read a review that explains it).
Is it queer? no ):

The Werewolf: Archetype and Identity
Someday I’ll make a list of my alterhuman and otherhearted identities, but I’m not sure when that will be. For now, I’ll just talk about the the most prominent one: The Werewolf. I capitalize the name for both its significance and the fact that it’s an archetypal identity, so to speak. (I also use he/him throughout this essay, simply because I’m speaking of The Werewolf in relation to myself, and as myself.) I’m not a specific werewolf in any sense, and I’m not drawn from just one piece of folklore, or even one broad interpretation. It’s much bigger than that. Of course, explaining all the finer details would require an essay, and time is at a premium nowadays. Therefore, since brevity is the soul of wit, and tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes, I will be brief. Pay no attention to the appropriately-timed readmore.
Let’s look at an example of what I mean: the eponymous baron in Bisclavret is a specific werewolf, but he’s also one of many depictions of The Werewolf as a somewhat noble being who is wronged by others—in this case, his wife—as a consequence of his true nature. This “noble beast” interpretation can be contrasted with folk tales of feral werewolves who threaten villagers and fear neither torch nor blade. Werewolves aren’t solely monsters meant to inspire empathy or fear, however. They can also serve specific literary functions, often as symbols of broader concepts and experiences. The werewolf story can be used as a metaphor for a young person coming-of-age, a challenging tale of tangling with the darker aspects of human nature, or even as an exploration of queer identity and the liminal spaces we occupy. These are certainly not unique to werewolves, and the latter is especially common among other creatures embraced by the horror genre.
Each broad interpretation of The Werewolf feels to me like a part of my identity on some level. I’m the werewolf who feels guilty for the harm he’s done, who tries to resist his feral urges, but I’m also the one who embraces that side and indulges in it. I’m the werewolf who was born this way, the one who was blessed (or cursed) by some spirit or deity, but also the one who was bitten or scratched—forever changed out of cruelty, indifference, or even a dark perversion of love. The only bits of werewolf folklore I won’t engage with on some level are those from practices and cultures that are closed for me. They’re not mine to claim on any level—certainly not in any way that would be respectful.
Like so many in our community, my connection to The Werewolf is intricately intertwined with almost all other aspects of my identity. I’m genderqueer, yet I strictly use he/him pronouns. I have a beard—a thick one, at that—and a flat chest, yet I also identify myself as butch and sapphic. It’s been uniquely gender-affirming for me to have partners who identify as lesbians—to be fully seen and understood as butch. It would feel incredibly uncomfortable and even dysphoric for me to be with a straight woman. Even within queer spaces, at times I feel either gravely misunderstood or utterly invisible. I am, on some level, expected to conform, and my refusal to do so marks me at best as ‘confused,’ and at worst as a threat.
I embrace the androgyny in my voice and mannerisms, and I easily—often unintentionally—slip into different social presentations depending on who’s around me. (I’m also autistic, to no one’s surprise.) Code-switching comes naturally to me, likely as a result of having to cobble together adequate social skills over the course of a decade, but also as a matter of safety as a queer person who’s only ever lived in red states. The Werewolf is a liminal creature, existing in several different worlds at once and moving through them with varying levels of ability. I am no different—charming and quick to make friends when I know the social landscape, and terribly awkward and clumsy when I don’t.
In the interest of keeping this even remotely readable in one sitting, I’ll wrap this up here. The Werewolf can be a charismatic yet dangerous lover, a pitiful and wretched thing, a creature just beyond the veil of understanding, or even a kindred spirit. I am and have been all of these things, both in my external life and my mind’s inner world. I experience phantom and mental shifts, and I see myself in so many depictions of werewolves in media. This part of my identity plays a vital role for me in kink—though I’ll save the details for a properly 18+ post—in my relationship dynamics, in my pagan spirituality, and many other parts of my life. It fits neatly over my gender expression like a second skin and provides a backdrop for my social presence. I am The Werewolf As Archetype: a being representing liminality, transformation, and embracing authenticity—at any cost. It is a vital part of me, without which I would cease to be.

Regulus x Reader - Date Night (Modern AU)
Tumblr media
A/N - This is a trans!regulus (afab) chapter!! Though much of my writing is queer, writing characters that are trans specifically is new for me as I am not trans myself, so please feel free to slide into my messages and let me know if there is anything that feels harmful/incorrect. I know many people in this fandom adore the trans!regulus headcannon, which is why I wanted to hop on and try to write a chapter of my own (I couldn't resist, he's just so hot)! It also must be said that I will not be tolerating ANY transphobia in this comment section, ALL hateful comments will be immediately deleted.
Content Warnings/Kinks: hickeys, hair pulling, choking, praise kink, light degradation, face slapping, daddy kink, oral sex (cunnilingus and a blowjob), light gagging, use of sex toys, penetrative sex (strap-on)
Date Night
Yes, Y/n knew that Regulus was hot, and yes, she knew he wanted to sleep with her based on the messages they'd exchanged on the dating app that they'd matched on. If anything, she had been genuinely surprised when he had actually asked her out on a date first instead of just inviting her over to his flat. In fact, throughout their date, which had 'ended' just mere minutes ago, they had engaged in totally pleasant chit-chat, Regulus proving himself to be quite the gentleman.
All that seemed to be out the window, however, as he currently had her pinned up against the grimy brick wall of the alley with his hands gripping her waist and hers pulling at his perfectly messy curls. The alleyway was murky and, as it was already quite late at night, dark too. Deliciously-scented smoke billowed out of the Chinese restaurant's vents and water dripped from the exposed pipes.
"Regulus" Y/n whimpered, out of breath as his salivating mouth made its way south to the crook of her neck, likely leaving a small mark.
"My place." he breathed, pausing for only a second, "Let's go."
"Okay," she agreed, ridiculously pleased with the direction the night was taking.
~
His mouth was on her the second her back hit the mattress, kissing her like his life depended on it, making her moan in satisfaction. He tugged at the bottom of her shirt, grinning when he successfully removed it from her body, leaving her breasts exposed to him.
"Beautiful" he murmured, a cold hand tracing down from her neck to her belly button, making her shiver.
She slipped hers down slightly as they reconnected, kissing with passion, only for a hand to reach out and stop her before she could even reach his belt buckle.
"I—" he paused, taking a breath as she waited patiently, "There's something I need to tell you before we sleep together"
"Oh, we can use a condom if you want, it's no problem" she smiled, her hair mussed and fluffy.
"No, it's not that" he replied with a secret smile of his own, "I'm trans"
"Okay, that's great"
"I—you think that's great?" he seemed slightly bewildered by this.
"I suppose I do. It's great that you told me, thank you by the way, but it doesn't change anything for me is all I mean..." she blushed, "I just want to sleep with you really, quite urgently actually"
"Well, that can definitely be arranged" he smirked.
And with that, they were back to it. He pulled her jeans off, quickly followed by her panties. She pressed up against his chest, kissing down his neck as she removed his grey tee and pants in return. After their clothes were discarded all over the floor, Y/n's senses felt heightened. She found that everything was turning her on, Regulus' mouth grazing across her cheek and down her neck, the sight of his handsome body before her, even the scent of his heady cologne.
"Fuck" she murmured.
They pressed together, him getting rougher by the second, biting at her jaw and her attempting to stifle the moans that threatened to spill from her lips the more he teased her. Regulus then pushed her down, dragging her with one smooth pull to the edge of his bed. He spread her legs, hunger in his darkened, green eyes as he took in the sight of her dripping wet cunt.
"You're sure?" He questioned.
The sight of Regulus waiting patiently between her legs broke her restraint, if she'd even had any to begin with, "Yes, please"
The first flick of his tongue was godly, causing Y/n to promptly moan for him.
"Your tongue, Regulus, fuck your tongue" she cried out with a hiss, gripping her hands in his hair instantly for stability's sake, making him chuckle cool breath onto her cunt. He continued, licking languidly upwards from her hole before slowly making his way up to her clit.
"That feel good baby?" He snarked, making her release a disbelieving huff.
"You know it does" she shot back.
His hands massaged the outsides of her warm thighs, bedroom eyes set on her and only her, "Yeah, but I still like to hear you say it in that whiney little voice for me"
"I like it" she blushed, giving him what she knew he wanted.
"That's better" he replied before returning to her.
With one more lick, Regulus proceeded softly, carefully yet with such a deliciously perfect amount of pressure it made Y/n see stars. He was clearly experienced and she knew he knew it considering his immense cockiness which, of course, only made him even hotter to Y/n than he already was before.
As he continued, his tongue flicking and his mouth sucking, he really was teasing her, pushing her to her limit. Each lick seemed to have a purpose, he'd poke at one spot around her clit for a while before switching it up and tasting her needy hole, leaving her wanting more with every second that passed. But, never once did he take his amazing mouth off of her.
She looked down at him, taking in the lust of his gaze, the lust she realized was for her and only her in that moment. Fuck, this man was too much. Too good at eating pussy, too sexy, too everything. He sped up the pace of his tongue, making her arch her back, almost curving at an unnatural angle.
"I fucking hate you" she cursed him through gritted teeth as his lips formed a suction around her clit, making her shudder.
He stopped for only a second only for her to beg, incredulous, "Don't stop!"
Hesitantly, he reconnected to her, making her release a broken sound again, somewhere between a whimper and a groan, "'Makes me so fucking mad how good you are at that..."
Finally understanding, he broke away from her to grin and shake his head before the licking continued. His strong hands gripped the outsides of her thighs, supporting her shaking limbs as he pleased her until she burst.
"Fuck!" She cried out as her cunt pulsed, the orgasm overwhelming her body, making her gush with cum.
He continued, licking at that perfect spot, flicking it over and over until the intensity subsided and she was left a boneless mess on his bed.
"Fuck, I need to feel how wet you are" he groaned, reaching a hand down, completely turned on by her moans and arched back, "Soaking wet baby. Shit, you're so fucking wet for me. Do you think you can take a cock in that perfect little cunt of yours?"
"Mmm," she murmured, blissfully consenting as Regulus went over to his bedside drawer, pulling out a simple black strap-on. He put it on, making quick work of the complicated process.
"C'mere" she ordered lightly when he returned, sinking to her knees before him, placing gentle hands on each of his thighs.
"You want to suck me off?"
"Is that alright?" She returned his question with one of her own.
"Fuck" he groaned, tilting his face to the ceiling, as if in disbelief, "Yeah, yeah I want that baby. I want to see you suck it for me"
Y/n spat onto the tip, swirling her tongue around its head, never once breaking away from Regulus' intense gaze. His eyes pierced her, intently watching every action as she began to lick slowly up and down his shaft.
Her hand slid further up his leg, curving inward toward the space between his thighs.
"Can I touch you too?" she asked, wide doll eyes enticing him.
"Yes, fuck yes baby" he replied, his voice becoming breathier the more he watched her tease his strap with her pretty mouth.
He groaned, biting down on his pouty lip, as she reached between his thighs. She gathered some of the wetness that was coating his entrance, smearing her fingers in it. His eyes widened as she took her now wet digits and spread his slick all over the shaft of his strap. She then began to really suck on it, shoving it as far as she could into her obedient mouth, bobbing up and down, moaning at the taste. The sight was almost too much for Regulus, let alone the feeling of Y/n sliding her delicate fingers across the area that was most sensitive for him. He bucked his hips, overcome by the feeling, making Y/n gag.
"Such a pretty girl on your knees, playing with me while you take my cock so deep in your pretty little mouth" he praised, "Keep going baby, show me how much you want it"
She moaned onto the plastic again, bobbing up, taking in how it was now covered with a mix of his delicious slick and her spit before going down on him again. Her fingers swirled around and around his clit as she sucked up and down his cock. She sped up, taking as much of him as she could, proving just how much she wanted him to fuck her. As she continued, things got messier, salvia coating the plastic and Regulus' wetness covering her fast fingers.
"Are you still wet for me baby? Are you dripping down onto my floor?" she gagged on his cock in response as he continued breathily, "Yeah, I bet your slick is just spread all over your pretty cunt right now, getting so wet and ready for me to fuck you"
She gagged and gagged, the way Regulus' cock was hitting the back of her throat making her eyes roll back in pleasure. He might love the sight of her sucking him off but she was sure she loved doing it more.
"Fuck" he growled as he approached his orgasm, "Keep gagging baby, yeah, keep touching me"
She obeyed, flicking at his sensitivity with two fingers, swirling around it until he burst, never once taking her mouth off of the massive strap.
When he'd finished, thighs shivering from his orgasm, Y/n came off of it, standing for a second before straddling him on the edge of the bed. "Fuck. Me. Now" she commanded, her eyes full of pure lust as she pushed his chest so that he was lying down with her on top of him, "...I need to feel it in me"
"So needy baby" he chuckled, still out of breath.
He caressed her thighs, her ass cheeks, every inch of warm skin, taking a second before they continued.
"Please Reg..."
"Put it in baby, yes, put it in" he ordered.
Regulus' jaw ticked as he watched her lower herself onto his cock. She was just as wet as he had thought, easily sliding all 8-inches inside her soaking, primed hole. She gasped, not because of the large size, or because of how he immediately started thrusting slowly up into her, but because of the way it fit so perfectly within her, as if their connecting was something the stars had foretold.
"Shit, you feel so good inside me" she moaned.
"I can see how wet you are baby" he groaned, gaze zeroed in on her cunt, "Fuck—fucking splashing all over this cock for me"
She ground down onto Regulus, taking the lead by bouncing her ass back and forth, hands pressed on his chest. Her thighs spread wider across him as she kept lowering herself, taking more and more as she rocked against him. She was so full, so thoroughly filled, it was hard to not cum right then and there.
"Fuck you feel so—ahh" she moaned, her nose scrunching as she rode him.
Y/n continued, bouncing up and down. The movement was tiring but so worth it. She'd moan, gasp, or groan, each time she sunk fully down onto him and shiver each time she came back up, her cunt gripping the length. But her pleasure wasn't the only reward, the sensual, feral way Regulus looked at her made her skin heat even more.
"Look at how well you're taking me..." he praised, his hands gripping her hair then, pulling harshly at the messy mass, forcing her back to arch, "Can you keep being a good little slut for me, baby?"
"Mm hm," she nodded, whimpering.
A harsh blow landed on her cheek, causing her to cry out in pain, "Use your words pretty girl, unless you want to be punished even more."
In the haze of the pleasure that she was feeling, her cheek still stinging, she vaguely considered continuing to disobey just so that he would in fact punish her again but decided against it at the last minute, instead trying something new that she thought might just please him even more...
"Yes Daddy," she mewled, her voice low and full of all that she was feeling.
Regulus groaned, instantly gripping her hips and thrusting more harshly up into her, matching her tempo and how she bounced down onto him. Her moans were loud as he fucked her and she fucked him, yet she had no feelings of shame, not then and definitely not when she moaned even louder as one of his hands circled her throat. Fuck, she thought, he truly was too good to be true.
"Grind down on me" he instructed, his hands gripped in the flesh of her ass, "Yes that's it. You like how that feels on your clit baby?"
She squirmed, gasping as her clit ran back and forth against the flat of his stomach. Y/n arched forward, chasing the feeling of her cunt rubbing against Regulus' skin. Her thighs were shaking, getting sorer by the second but Regulus held her up, gripping her ass with his long, nimble fingers, helping her to grind down onto him as he repeatedly pushed himself upward, meeting her every movement.
"You can do it baby" he groaned his encouragement, "You gonna cum for me? You gonna cum on my cock?"
"Yes, fuck Regulus, yes" she moaned back.
She ground herself down onto Regulus, angling herself so that her clit got attention and the cock was as deep as possible inside of her. Eventually, the feeling overcame her. She started to shake as his hips snapped against her ass cheeks.
"Yeah baby, cum for me" his eyes pierced her as he squeezed tighter on her throat, the tense pressure adding to the heat of the moment.
"Ahh—ah" her breath hitched, "Fuck, fuck"
He cupped her face, cradling her cheek as she shivered, "You're so pretty when you cum for me baby, so pretty"
She slowed, her grinding interrupted only by her own shivering waves of pleasure. The feeling continued to wash over her, even as she stilled. Regulus took over then, bouncing her slightly up and down on his cock and rubbing gentle circles around her clit. She threw her head back, exposing the column of her throat to him even more, shuddering when he attacked the sensitive skin with soft kisses.
"Yes," she breathed, her breath quickly turning to a gentle, tinkling laugh.
"What?" Regulus questioned, a smile playing at the edges of his lips.
"Did I tell you I hated you?"
"I believe you did"
She hid her face in her hands, "Well just know I don't really. I maybe just hate how you're somehow so good at everything."
"I don't know about everything"
"No. I've declared it so it must be true. Regulus Black is good at everything"
He chuckled at that, giving her a roguish smirk, "...Maybe I've just had a lot practice"
"Slut!" She joked, pushing gently at his shoulder.
"C'mon let's get you cleaned up...unless you want me to keep proving to you just how much of a slut I really am"

I'm seeing a lot of "This is normal for the industry, they don't do explicit queer characters like this, why are you angry/surprised." and to that I say...
Yes, we know it's normal. And?
If queer characters are forever subtext in mainstream media, especially anime in this case, things will never get better for representation. We need shows like this that push the envelope for better representation, even if it's just little by little, so erasing our identities and stories stops being normal. That's why we're angry, because the staff pushed the envelope, gave us a textual explicit sapphic relationship in a mainstream anime that's basically unheard of outside of niche yuri adaptations, and some execs are desperately trying to stuff them back into the old "subtext" box. And we're not going to stand for that.
No one is really that surprised that Bandai took this route. In fact, I think a lot of us expected it, especially those of us who have been around anime, Bandai, and other mainstream queer stories. But shitty corporations are just as allergic to losing money as they are to taking stances on controversial issues, and it is surprising Bandai went this route when it will definitely cost them short-term and long-term profits. That they tried to sweep this under the rug, and tried to have their cake and eat it too isn't surprising, but as fans we can't just let them get away with that. We can't say nothing when companies court queer people and their money with representation, and then turn around and try to deny or erase that representation to appease people who would deny our rights and existence.
So no, I'm not surprised. But I am angry, and myself and others have every right to be. Whether they meant to or not, Bandai's series pushed the envelope for textual and explicit queer stories and relationships in a mainstream anime, and we can't just stay quiet while Bandai tries to walk that back. Every inch of representation we earn is hard fought and we can't just give up that ground by letting things go back to "normal" without a fight.
Sorry for the long rant, it's just frustrating when I see otherwise well meaning people try to even slightly excuse homophobic behavior because it's "normal." Queer people don't need the prevalence of homophobia in the world explained to us. Trust me, we KNOW things are homophobic, we all fucking know.

I think it's predominantly the excitement of Monster High returning, but I wanna talk about "Growing Ghoulia" and "Spell the Beans" (especially since I've seen other people talking about the new episodes). Just a bunch of random points that I really appreciated. So, yes, this post will include spoilers for the episode "Growing Ghoulia" and "Spell the Beans" :)
All the new episodes this month have been wonderful so far, but I honestly really loved this one and "Spell the Beans" (but knowing me, the clankie episode tomorrow will likely come out on top <- pun intended. Don't be surprised if I post all about that one tomorrow too jhsjssjh).
No, but honestly, I appreciated the use of "allegory" (if you'd like to call it that) in regards to Ghoulia's need to top the horror roll. Ghoulia says, "it's hard for zombies to get points. We're not as fast as other monsters. I wanted to be the first zombie to be number one and show everyone they misjudged us."
Many could interpret it as disability allegory, or generally, any minority group that is prone to being judged solely on the basis of stereotype. And Draculaura pitches in with her own personal example. Due to her love of witchcraft (something that is shunned in monster society), she feels the need to prove herself as a means of "showcasing" that she is a responsible and kindhearted person amidst the act that she practices what society deems as a "filthy human habit".
In the episode "Spell the Beans", Draculaura states that she uses witchcraft to create, and that it is a fun hobby. Being a witch is her identity, and she wishes to prove to other monsters that witches can be good people. It is entirely dependent on what you use the powers for. Through these two episodes, we get to see Ghoulia and Draculaura's identities even more deeply, as well as the fact that they care so much about serving as pioneers (within the groups they identify with) towards a better, more accepting future. I imagine, even if kids aren't reading into the episodes as much as I am JJSJJ, that this underlying theme about identity and acceptance means a lot to so many people watching.
Also, can we talk about Ghoulia's reaction to Draculaura practicing witchcraft?? It's so wholesome! She's immediately like "that's so cool!" and then quickly realizes how unfair it is. Not because it's a "human" practice, but because of her goal in the episode: to be at the top of the horror roll. She is not bothered by Draculaura practicing witchcraft. As a matter of fact, she finds it very impressive and intriguing.
Also the visuals?!? Like, as a writer and filmmaker, the whole heart-to-heart scene with mid-falling, suspended tree leaves around them made me like "OMG CINEMATOGRAPHY", even though it's literally animated JSJSHJ. But still.
ALSO "Spell the Beans"!! With Dracula and Draculaura sitting with their backs to the tombstone. Like.... ooooo damn I love myself a good heart-to-heart scene, especially when the characters use the space in that way. There is so much that can be gathered through just their position during that scene. A sort of metaphorical (and literal) wall stands between them. It's a space where they can't exactly face one another, but can still engage in their conversation. LIKE OOF. FEELS.
And then of course, a definite highlight...
MONSTER HIGH CANONICALLY HAS AN LGBTQ+ CLUB!!
GUYS. MONTHS AGO I MADE A LIST OF G3 FRANKIE HEADCANONS AND ONE WAS THAT THEY ATTEND A QUEER CLUB BUT LIKE--
I DIDN'T THINK THEY'D ACTUALLY INCLUDE IT, BUT I AM SO HAPPY THEY DID!!
And they said "queer" too! Just like Twyla said "autism". I know it sounds small, but the writers (in order to avoid angry, homophobic parents) could easily have been like "this is the Ghoul Wraith Alliance, a place where people can celebrate identity". Sure, it would be sweet, but it would leave too much to the imagination. That is typically fun, but as a queer person myself, it is such a joy to hear these words being spoken aloud in children's media!! This made me so happy, and I have nothing but absolute respect for the Monster High team working on this show!
Nah, but overall, I'm so glad Monster High is back. They do such a great job not shying away from topics and communicating these topics in validating ways. Pumped for tomorrow's episodes (watch as I shit my pants at school, cause I'm gonna be there at 5 for theater production callbacks hehe).

Re: that one anon,
You and Tzafael live rent free in my head fr, I am going insane over your fics 24/7 and have to stop myself from talking about your fic with uninterested parties who wouldn't understand why I'm so obsessed ALL THE TIME. I am cursed.
Do you have anymore interesting Tzafael lore?
-☠️
Ps. Why does art take so long I wanna post my painting already
I just hope you're half as feral about my writing as I am about the fact that you're out here being interested in my Hazbin Hotel OC, because the sound this ask prompted in me is best described as the verbal equivalent of a keyboard smash. U bring me so much joy, spirits.
Ahem!!!!! AN EXCUSE TO TALK ABOUT TZAFAEL!
@spoondrifts, who knows and has studied significantly more about the subject than me, helped me figure the name "Tzafael"! To paraphrase them: The suffix -el means "of god". The hebrew word for eyes is einayim, which in its construct state would be something like eineiel/ayneyel, roughly transliterated "tzafah." It also means to watch/observe but also to predict or foresee, so "Tzafael" could mean a witness or beholder of god.
Tzafael is younger than Lucifer and knew him only a little prior to his fall. Their relationship with him is akin to how you would see the queer uncle who got kicked out of the family because he came out when you were like ten years old and didn't really understand much, except now you're also queer, twenty-nine, have established your own life, and suddenly realized you're living in the same city. Do you reach out? Do you duck behind a corner when you see him?
They... have not technically fallen. Nobody kicked them out. There's nothing physically stopping them from returning to heaven. That said: they do not often return to heaven, and heaven puts a lot of effort into not talking about why or what, exactly, they might be doing, but surely it's better that they stay gone. Nobody wants another Lucifer situation. And it's not like that! Really. Really. They haven't officially done anything wrong. Don't say the word "rogue," not even quietly.
This does mean that their halo still works and they still receive exorcist broadcast communications, though! You'd be surprised at how far the signal goes. It makes for a very interesting tea time, and they fucking love to gossip. It comes with being the Witness.
Their cardinal sin is pride. They enjoy the fact that they're almost the heaviest hitter possible in hell purely by courtesy of being a seraph so much. They like to think they stay classy about it, but those who know them also know that the best way to get a favor from the fallen seraph is to be polite and stroke their ego.
