Please tell me how Duke,Cass and Stephanie getting nonstop left out of Batfam content isn't because of antiblackness,racialized misogyny and a mix of gender essentialism,classism and ableism.When none of you can shut the fuck up about how 'black haired and blue eyed male is the only requirement for a Batkid!' and go as far as to include 'pale/fair skinned' sometimes when Damian and Dick are brownskin in multiple versions because of being brown in heritage and Damian and Jason have green eyes half the time and by saying 'lighteyed' when it comes to Batboys,that would be problematic but it'd at least include Duke since he's gold eyed due to Gnonom and you probably don't even know who that is since you actively refuse to meet Duke even though he's easiest Batkid to read for BECAUSE he's got so little content and Cass and Stephanie also have a small amount of material compared to the other boys

Yes, the Live Action Movie & The Show have different canons… is there a point to that statement or are we just saying the obvious? Not everything is going to be quadruple confirmed in canon like Draculaura being Asian or Frankie being nonbinary (movie character, actor, TV character, voice actor) all things won’t be hammered in that hard so we gotta take what we can get and international monster high is fair game because Mattel has to approve everything they do.

That leaked show “Bible” is sketchy as hell & no Monster High enthusiast worth their salt has taken it seriously. If you know anything about children’s media there is a lot of language used in it that is not Nickelodeon appropriate and I’m not the only one who thinks so. We don’t know where it came from, who wrote it or who posted it. Y’all saw something that looks slightly official and ran with it and that my darlings is a fool’s errand.

Y’all need to be more critical of the information you consume and perpetuate. “You should believe in nothing that you hear and only half of what you see- Edgar Allen Poe.”

And we need to stop screaming theories as if they are canon. I PERSONALLY head canon Twyla & Venus as lesbians (not together, Twyla is obviously in love with Howleen) because UNLIKE Clawdeen who has shown an interest in boys in previous generations they have never shown an interest in actual boys as far as I know. (I also made a chart of Clawdeen being attracted to girls for equal measure) that is how I see them, I don’t go shooting off that, that is canon information.

I know a lot of you desperately want Clawdeen to be a lesbian, I am very, painfully aware of this head canon but it is just that! A head canon! Yes it’s a very popular & persistent head canon but it’s a head canon nonetheless. G3 Clawdeen appears to have a crush on Deuce, now we don’t have time to unpack that weird ass ship but it does rule out Clawdeen as a lesbian. It does NOT however mean she is straight! Clawdeen could very well be Bi or Pan or any other sapphic inclusive sexuality. I PERSONALLY see her as Bi (for the reasons stated above) but you don’t see me claiming it’s canon.

“But Jess! What about compulsory heterosexuality!” - Clawdeen was created by a gay man. Do y’all really think a member of the LGBTQA+ community would put her through something that was hell for so many of us!? I highly doubt it.

I do not make the canon, I just study and report the canon, if had my way everyone would be fatter, browner and gayer.

Please, for the love of your deity of choice: stop believing everything you read, always ask for a source and stop being so cool with people making fake leaks it’s not some fun new fad it’s intentionally misleading & a little cruel to those of us who aren’t so great at social cues.

Mattel makes the canon & if it’s not from Mattel it’s probably not real.

Ayyy have fun reading!

We know she has tan skin (I give her a warm undertone), desaturated brown hair and upturned brown eyes, she is tall and all angles and has no curves. I try to make her look as awakward yet 2000s cool as a girl can get, so I gave her baggy clothes, shaggy fringe hair in a messy ponytail, big ears, and prosthesis that looks steampunk-y as opposed to the sleek futuristic tech around her (but this goes directly against the book description). I HC her bio family as at least partially Cambodian. The canon statement is that she is mixed Asian/White(????) which I interpreted as "she might be part white but we don't know for sure" so I tried to make it a bit more ambiguous.

Hi! Been thinking about asking this for a long time. You've had a lot of AIs generated for Ren, a few people did fanarts, not to mention picrews. They all look rather different! I understand differences in hairstyles and got used to those. But which AI/picsrews/fanarts do look MOST like the girl you envision? Eye? Face in general? Lips? Perhaps it's not just one thing, but a combination (eyes from one, chin from another and so on)?

What visual features make Ren Ren?

Thank you!!! This Ask got me all excited! I don't think I've ever elaborated on Ren's outward appearance before, so I'll take this opportunity to add more to her lore and the rationale behind her varying updo's.

Ren Aries is of mixed race, with an East Asian muggle-born father and a Western European pureblood mother. (Her father assumed a somewhat anglicised version of their family name to bridge the cultural gap when they moved to England, with Aries being the Western zodiac equivalent of the dragon in the Chinese zodiac. Weird tangent on the onomastics of her totally not Asian-sounding last name lol sorry).

As a child, her nannies would often put her thick, black hair up in double buns, which she was not very happy with (see picture of grumpy baby Ren). As her hair grew, she started braiding it herself, opting for twin braids with mostly messy parted bangs, which she keeps for the majority of her younger years. As she matured, she started wearing either a half-tie or a single braid, letting her hair down completely only when she's most vulnerable. She inherited her father's sharp, brown eyes and neotenous features and her mother's pouty lips and small stature.

To be completely honest, Ren in HL-verse started off as a self-insert, both in likeness and in lore, but as I've expanded on her story over the past year, she's kind of taken a life of her own. The first AI images of her have evolved since and there are different versions of her depending on who's drawing or rendering her. Her trademark features would be black hair, brown eyes, pouty lips, but I guess to sum it all up, Ren Aries would canonically look like this:

I use the same set of reference photos to generate AI images of her but there are always slight differences depending on the template I'm working with and the angles of the images. Be that as it may, this is probably the most accurate images of how I envision Ren Aries looks like. ♡

ThunderHeart is a young superhero who is the daughter of the former Kid Flash, who grew up to become the new Flash.

Appearance: a young Asian white mix lady with ginger hair that’s in pigtails, green eyes, & freckles.

Annabeth:Stud(A term for butch lesbian but black exclusive).Your classic pick me tomboy turned transmasc lesbian deal and has an undercut and was on t and got both surgeries,complete with owl wing shaped top surgery scars.Mostly uses he but ocassionally likes they and almost entierly uses masc terms(Such as 'king' over 'queen',Percy calls her 'Wise Guy' instead of 'Wise Girl' and so forth).Dresses like a tomboy everyday and wears suits and cologne for special occasions and helped Percy with her transition by giving her the 'girly' things she'd been gifted but didn't want,such as the Claire's kids makeup kit her stepmom bought her inbetween TLT and Som.Still has her silver owl earrings because imo they give her black butch swag and allows her to match with Percy and Grover,which i'll get to in a sec

Grover:Transneutral but presents as a mix of masc and fem and also gay(Juniper is a she/her transmasc).Since i hc him as blasian because of his actors,he mixes in his indian heritage with his specific type of gncness such as doing both men and women's traditions!!Sadly he felt bad about his identity at first because of stereotypes against asian men not unlike his two best friends and now found sisters too with their own queerness but thankfully,a big part of his character development is learning to do things for himself without caring what others think!As per canon he wears rasta hats but in 'groovy' fun colors and outfits that match them and tbh i don't wanna give him an assigned birth gender not just cause it's weird but also because i think it's more fun if you can make whichever interpretation you like :].He couldn't care less about pronouns as long as you're using them respectfully but uses xe/leaf in addition to the standard ones.And for the earrings,Percy has a pair of pastel blue strawberries with light pink petals and Grover has a mismatched set that's a music note and a leaf♡

Assume they all have a little bit of Melodian in them too because that planetary system in my thing like in the show is primarily Asian inspired with the planet they’re from being inspired mainly by Japan (except for Madoka because she’s just from Earth so she’s actually Japanese lol).

Kyoko would be Dominion and a pure fire fairy.

Sayaka would be mixed Androsian and Melodian but pretty much pass exclusively as Melodian in physical appearance. Her powers are water based though. Her winx outfit here is skewed towards a musical motif though due to her big crush on Kyosuke and pretending to be more of someone she’s not in the hopes of impressing him. Her appearance will eventually change to more reflect her powers after Kyoko helps encourage her to be herself and embrace that instead of trying to be something else for the sake of some random person she’s interested in ”because if they can’t see how kickass you are as yourself, then they ain’t worth it.”

Anyways they end up together😌

Mami is Lymphean and has a buttercup motif, her ears being based off of buttercup flowers too. She’s from the biggest planet in The Marigold System (the environment there is mainly based off the Midwest hence the buttercup style flower. Also sorry queen for putting you in the Midwest I live there too and it sucks😔). She’s a nature fairy and she loves to specialize in spells that use vines. She’s everyone’s big sister and is also an aroace icon because I said so.

Homura is mostly Lunarian with some Zenithian from her grandma. She has the ability to manipulate time in small bursts like in the show.

And Madoka is 100% an Earthling. Her hair is naturally pink because magic lol. She’s the fairy of affection and her powers focus on emotions, specifically boosting moods and increasing peoples happiness. She has the ability to use spells that worsen moods too although those aren’t as strong and she refuses to use them anyway.

Madoka and Homura are together obviously too. They still get to be magical girl lesbians just like in canon.

If we were following a sadder story line more closer to the canon of Madoka Magica and Madoka had to make a grand sacrifice and become part of the energy of the magical world for the better of it, Homura would end up becoming a witch (lol) because in my thing witches focus on dark magic, which is a form of magic that stems from using magic from the world around magical beings whereas light magic, which is what fairies focus on, comes from focusing more on an individuals inner magical core and things like their feelings and personal emotions far more. She would do this as a way to feel closer to Madoka since in a way interacting with the magic surrounding her is interacting with Madoka as after her ascension she’d be an innate part of the energy of the world now.

((ooc: Ooh, that one would be interesting 👀 I'm going with the OG Kantoan Ninetails for this one

Well, for one, her illusions would hardly be all they are now. She'd be a Vulpix that somehow ended up with Dawn when Dawn was a few weeks old, so I can imagine that, to keep the facade of her twin, Akari took from the mental energy of everyone else in the house(Johanna and her Glameow, Umbreon, and Kangaskhan(Jumpy)) to plant a mild glamour in a sort of Area Of Effect spell to live as a person. This gets stronger as she gains more tails.

Speaking of her tails, they tend to stick out when she plants physical glamour on herself, as well as her ears, resulting in a sort of mix-matched hybrid look. She covers her ears with a hat like Dawn's(and more glamour, once it gets stronger), but her tails never really go away.

People(at least in Twinleaf Town) are aware this is a Pokemon that decided it wanted to live as a human, and they're not gonna say anything because the few times someone tried, Miss Johanna very effectively played into the role of Fierce Asian Mother, which was definitely helped by Jumpy. She may be a Ribbon Cup winner, but she can battle just as well, especially if it's for her daughters.

During Dawn and Akari's journey(ft. Barry like half the time), they figured out a way to hide Akari's tails via Oversized Hoodie! Which was Not Hard considering the girls are 4'6 lmao(that's canon i heard it from my friends in the Rotomblr Discord). Akari turned out to like the oversized hoodie very much and it became a permanent part of her style! until hisui

Speaking of Hisui, Arceus decided to bless her with a little glamour to make her mission easier, thus making everyone around see and believe that she was human. ...This resulted in her thinking the same thing, until she evolved post-Red Sky and the glamour broke due to the sudden surge in both size and power. Arceus was not made aware of this. So she had to set up her own glamour again, which was thankfully much stronger after evolution thanks to the power in her nine tails.

One more thing from the Pokedex to tie in with the glamour!))

✨ general portrayal notes for god's favourite princess and the most interesting girl ✨

in act i, she'll behave mostly like her early access self aka all the snark, all the sass, the brusqueness, and the dark humor. the released version dialed it down and whilst i do adore her in the released version, i love her early edge a lot more.

generally "good" aligned play through. i put good in quotes because sometimes you don't intentionally save the grove, sometimes it's just a byproduct of a selfish need for knowledge on how to get the damn tadpole outta your brain. i am also more than willing to explore "evil" playthrough dynamics (again, it's in quotes bc sometimes you don't slaughter the grove ... the grove slaughters itself bc kagha psionically tells people that you attacked her for idk executing a child???)

act i and early- act ii can be summed up by the words cognitive dissonance

i am much more partial towards her exile path versus her dark justiciar path — which means she frees aylin from the soul cage, defies shar, has a mental breakdown hair cut etc

i lean towards the theory of her hair being white after the shadowfell as a result of the pain and torture she endured. so in short : marie antoinette syndrome.

that being said, if i were to play her as dark justiciar the ending is still going to be her betraying shar. she'll free her parents and take them far away from the cities. it's due to personal discomfort that i can't fully commit to the route of her becoming mother superior.

i understand her canonical model and general consensus is that she's a white woman. however, on this blog she's portrayed as mixed race ( white and asian - wasian ) if a modern verse should arise. that being said, this will influence how i adapt her post-game and her finding her roots as a person.

my preferred ending is her saving her parents and then moving into a cottage. i don't believe the curse is entirely incurable and it'll bind her and her parents' fate to shar forever even into the afterlife but that'll be a whole post on its own because forgotten realms lore is messy.

though i also do very much adore the moonbathed adventurer ending as well! that's something i like more if she was romantically (or ever queerplatonically) involved with someone just so she's not lonely on the road.

also on the topic of religiosity: her powers are blessed by selune, yes. she's a "moonbathed" cleric, yes. but she's not gonna be a devout selunite. at least not for a while. for my default portrayal, in early act iii she will begin to dip into a few levels of ranger as she still understands the importance of her being the group's healer and because she needs to adapt to using a bow more frequently than she has in the past. after defeating the netherbrain she will fully transition into the ranger class, taking up the subclass of gloomstalker which allows her to use the skills she's learned as a sharran and reclaim them for herself.

introspection. so much introspection. she's having a crisis of faith every goddamn minute but she's trying to talk herself outta that crisis as well. so her internal dialogue is a whole mess (what it means is if i write you six paragraphs of her thoughts it's fine if you don't match length in fact if it's not natural for you to please don't ahaha)

body dysmorphia. it'll be a common topic relating to her whether about her wound/curse or her in act 3 about her scars, her body, her feeling unclean etc. plus, due to a lack of a coherent identity (her memories being literal chop suey at this point), she has a messy relationship with gender that she can't quite articulate but know it's There.

i'll be treating her like she's never had sex or kissed before because she's voluntarily wiped her memories, so she's gonna be a little cautious and nervous about it. the innuendos and sly remarks you hear her make is a front to keep the vulnerability of her lack of experience behind a hidden achievement (plus the body remembers traumas!).

there will be flareups where she isn't crying out or is noticeable to others. this is inspired by the fact in her origin, she doesn't always cry out and her companions don't notice her in pain. the moments where her wound flares and others know mean 1) it's excruciating and/or 2) she trusts the other person enough to express herself.
