Annabeth:Stud(A term for butch lesbian but black exclusive).Your classic pick me tomboy turned transmasc lesbian deal and has an undercut and was on t and got both surgeries,complete with owl wing shaped top surgery scars.Mostly uses he but ocassionally likes they and almost entierly uses masc terms(Such as 'king' over 'queen',Percy calls her 'Wise Guy' instead of 'Wise Girl' and so forth).Dresses like a tomboy everyday and wears suits and cologne for special occasions and helped Percy with her transition by giving her the 'girly' things she'd been gifted but didn't want,such as the Claire's kids makeup kit her stepmom bought her inbetween TLT and Som.Still has her silver owl earrings because imo they give her black butch swag and allows her to match with Percy and Grover,which i'll get to in a sec

Grover:Transneutral but presents as a mix of masc and fem and also gay(Juniper is a she/her transmasc).Since i hc him as blasian because of his actors,he mixes in his indian heritage with his specific type of gncness such as doing both men and women's traditions!!Sadly he felt bad about his identity at first because of stereotypes against asian men not unlike his two best friends and now found sisters too with their own queerness but thankfully,a big part of his character development is learning to do things for himself without caring what others think!As per canon he wears rasta hats but in 'groovy' fun colors and outfits that match them and tbh i don't wanna give him an assigned birth gender not just cause it's weird but also because i think it's more fun if you can make whichever interpretation you like :].He couldn't care less about pronouns as long as you're using them respectfully but uses xe/leaf in addition to the standard ones.And for the earrings,Percy has a pair of pastel blue strawberries with light pink petals and Grover has a mismatched set that's a music note and a leaf♡

It's so funny to me when people make Percy and Annabeth a stereotypical masc guy and fem girl duo.Annabeth was one of the og childhood tomboy character's and finds femininity gross and confusing and has extreme 'how i look with he/they pronouns in my bio' energy and Percy's one of the biggest trans woman egg's i've ever met-which is coming from a Star Vs The Forces of Evil kid-and thinks hypermasculinity makes guys ugly and unappealing and radiates pastel punk vibes and even when she is a guy like in canon,he's about as manly as Gerard Way

Percy feels more like a girl than Annabeth does

My problem with Percabeth is that it does nothing positive for either Percy or Annabeth.Yeah yeah they're in love and have been best friends since they were 12 but what does it do for them?We're not talking about real people,we're talking about characters in a story and the payoff of their dynamic is incredibly dissapointing.Percy dosen't help Annabeth grows as a person and the same goes for her to him and the narrative constantly forces them to perpetuate their bad habits so they can have a slowburn and be 'quirky'.Their overtly romantic moments feel so hollow because they don't make any sense for them specifically to have them-The entire franchise's beginning was Percy saying 'Look,i didn't want to be a halfblood' and he spends the rest of the series' feeling the same way so he didn't actually want immortality to begin with so they're was nothing to give up for anybody when he was offered it,Annabeth actively pulls Percy into the mythical world so it's straight up a lie that she's his tether to his mortal side,Annabeth is extremely protective of all her friend's so she would've taken that knife for any of them and not just Percy,neither of them ever really showed themselves as wanting to enter a romantic relathionship to begin with and just wanted platonic friends and don't even get me started on them deciding to go college in New Rome together as if Percy would force himself through four years of school when he could just become Camp Half Blood's counseler or get a public service job in the mortal world.Percy and Annabeth are romantic soulmates because they're doomed by the narrative to be instead of living the lives they actually want
