Tumblr media Tumblr media
There was a soft knock at door. You muted the TV, walking over while fastening a final curler to your scalp. You pulled it open to reveal Loki, wearing a tight sweater and an apologetic smile.
You frowned. He never came to this floor.
God, he was so perfect. So brazen. How you wanted to pull him inside, push him on the sofa and mount him. You would ride him mercilessly, pulling the syllables of your name from his wet lips like a mantra. Or maybe you would suck him until he begged for release. Until he couldn't remember what day it was. Until he couldn't remember his own name.
"Can I help you, Laufeyson?" you announced loudly, hoping the formality would be convincing to anyone within earshot in the busy corridor.
"Stark has requested I remind all team members of details pertaining to the event this evening" he said coyly, a smirk playing on his lips, "in person."
You felt a giggle rising in your throat. Stark and Rogers were really wielding his looming evaluation like an axe.
"I presume you shall be in attendance? 7pm sharp for those involved with the display." Loki purred, his hand drawing towards the fluffy cotton tight to your waist. You felt the pressure of his fingers on your body before brushing them reluctantly away, noting the frown that ghosted his eyes. You nodded with a lingering smile.
One more day. You just needed to keep your hands off each other for one more day.
"Excellent" he murmured, before noticing something over your shoulder. "What in the nine hels is that?"
You glanced in the direction of his stare, seeing your outfit for tonight hanging against the living room door. "It's for the event" you winked, "do you like it?"
Loki's eyed widened in disbelief, checking the corridor to his sides as agents came and went from their rooms. "You mean to tell me you intend to circulate Stark’s gala tonight wearing that little dress and nothing more?"
You smirked, enjoying watching the wheels of jealousy whirring. "Don't worry Loki, I'll have shoes too..." you said lightly. He opened his mouth and closed it again.
"I'll see you tonight!" you quipped, before shutting the door on his muffled sounds of protestation.
Tonight was the most important event in the Avenger's media calendar, a chance to dazzle and charm the politicians and glitterati of New York and beyond. The whole team would be out in force; dressed to the nines, ready to mingle and primed to appear in tomorrow's headlines. One day. Just one day.
It had never been more important that your clandestine relationship...whatever it was, with Loki remained secret under the glare of the world's media. And yet, you couldn't help yourself.
You looked up at the dress hanging against the door-frame. A floor length skirt swished gently beneath your touch, the chiffon of the wide thigh split dragging between your fingertips. The bodice that had so inflamed your secret lover hung perfectly, strapless goddess style edging cutting down to a deep, stiff V that spliced down your sternum. It was sinful, and it was blood red. Tonight, you fully intended to knock them dead.
-
Loki regarded himself in the full-length mirror, frowning as he straightened his tie. The crown jewel of Stark’s superfluous Avenger’s Expo was a runway of sorts where it was deemed necessary to parade the team to a backdrop of thumping midgardian music. He cursed inwardly at the simplicity of his ensemble for this grand occasion. Apparently, his fine Asgardian leather did not fit the ‘vibe’, whatever that meant. “Need I remind you, brother, that your evaluation is tomorrow…” Thor’s spoke with warning lacing his words, watching his brother grimace. “Thank you. I am aware.” Loki spat, “As if I could forget, with the number of ridiculous duties I have been assigned these past weeks.” Thor nodded knowingly, squeezing Loki’s shoulder. “Tonight is a celebration, brother. A chance to show Stark, Rogers...the world, that you are truly no longer a threat. You are one of us.” Thor smiled broadly as Loki’s bored gaze swept his reflection. “Indeed.” he muttered, thinking of that sliver of red material you intended to parade about in. Every pair of eyes in the room would be on you...on that incredible body he knew every inch of. Intimately. Not only that, images captured would be circulated throughout this realm. The thought made Loki’s cock twitch with seething jealously. Between event preparation and the inane duties prescribed by his overlords, Loki hadn't had the opportunity to fuck you in two days. Two and a half, actually. In that time, he had edged himself more times than he cared to count. His cock was screaming to feel your tight, hot walls squeezing around his length. To hear you moan his name wantonly against the pillow, trying to silence yourself. To claim you again and again with his prowess; pleasuring you relentlessly as he took his fill. “Shall we?” Thor boomed, his tie still hanging loose around his neck. Loki nodded with a sigh. Showtime. Thirty minutes later, he was lined up with the rest of the male Avengers backstage in one of the city’s prime event halls. The buzz of a heaving crowd simmered beyond the curtains of the stage as a well-heeled Steve paced up and down the line, inspecting them. Loki rolled his eyes as Rogers brushed an imperceptible flaw from Clint’s shoulder, turning to Bucky with a judgemental look before the winter soldier frantically smoothed his hair. “You all know from dress rehearsal that the ladies come first” Steve began, as Bucky turned to Loki with a wink. “As always, right man?” he murmured, as Rogers frowned with disapproval, folding his arms before continuing. “You're placed in order, so Lang you’re first up after Natasha and Y/N take their places in the line-up. Then Banner, Vision, Wilson, Barton, Barnes, Odinson, Laufeyson...followed by myself and Stark for the speeches. Got it fellas?”
Everyone nodded grimly. They just wanted this to be over. From the other side of the stage, Loki heard a hysterical peal of laughter that was unmistakably yours, feeling his heart leap at the sound. The now-familiar ACDC song Stark had selected blared through the speakers, Back in Black; was it? Loki didn’t know how many times he’d been forced to listen to that infernal song during rehearsals. But this was the last time, and he intended it to be memorable. Steve stood with his clipboard as the opening bars thumped with Tony’s voice-over. Welcome to the stage...your Avengers. The list of names began with Natasha as she appeared to rapturous applause. Wanda followed, and then you.
Loki inhaled deeply as he heard cheers accompany your entrance, whistles of appreciation rolling through the crowd as Stark’s open bar made feeble mortal men brave. He seethed, quietly. Loki watched as one by one, the team ahead of him disappeared; their solemn grimaces giving way to practised smiles of joy and appreciation as they waved at the call of their name; pointing to the crowd. This was ridiculous, Loki thought. But a necessary evil in this strange realm, it seemed. “Loki Laufeyson” He rolled his shoulders as the bright lights grew closer, striding to the middle of the stage and turning with a flourish. To Loki’s surprise, there was not empty silence. A thundering of applause greeted him as his complimentary biography rumbled over the heavy guitar. In the last six months, Laufeyson has completed twenty-one highly volatile missions protecting our planet and our people, saving countless lives Loki found his eyes drawn towards you as the cheers grew louder at the words. There you were, poised and indescribably beautiful.
You were clapping with the others, your leg positioned seductively through a high slit in that little dress that went right to the top of your delicious thigh. He was going to bury his face under that slit, later. That little dress positively demanded to be fucked with you still wrapped inside it. The strapless bodice clung to you like glue, perfectly fitted to your sinful curves. The skin of your décolletage glowed in the theatrical lighting; your breasts nestled at either side of the most daring neckline Loki had ever seen across the realms. Gods, you were perfection. Well, almost perfection. Asgardian finesse, expert-combat, sorcery, great hair...our man in leather. Our newest addition. Let’s hear it for the dark-god in our Avenger’s line up. Loki internally rolled his eyes, waving to the darkened, cheering crowd as he squinted under the lights and paced towards his spot on the line-up. Come on, he thought. There was always one. “Show us some magic, Loki!” a disembodied voice screamed from the crowd. Loki smiled, seeing Rogers shake his head frantically behind the curtain. He spread his arms in a half-shrug towards the crowd, palms upward as he teased them. He always teased them. More shouts of encouragement soared loudly over the music before he snapped his fingers with gravitas.
In a dramatic wave of seidr, the crowd screamed with delight as your vibrant red dress transformed to an exquisite emerald green from the floor upward, bathed in flickering flame. Loki saw the flash of your eyes as he smirked, giving a curt bow to the screaming crowd as he stepped back to take his place in line. Rogers and Stark circled in front of the formation, enjoying their own applause as they geared up for the speeches. He used the moment to cast you a look, catching your eye. Green looked good on you. Now you were true perfection. – The next hours spent mingling were some of the longest of Loki’s life. He would gladly suffer through a one-to-one car polishing masterclass from Rogers to free himself from this hel. Midgard politicians, Loki surmised, were even more tedious than those on Asgard. No mean feat. Leaning against the bar, Loki’s eyes scanned the crowd. He found you, his stomach dropping as he saw you wrapped in the arms of an unknown man. Tall, handsome, dark...seems that the vixen has a type, Loki thought. A stab of jealously twisted in his gut as he swallowed his scotch in one gulp. Rogers had likely asked you to dance with this interloper...but still, this needed to end.
A thick hand slapped across his chest. “Brother, you were phenomenal. A triumph! It’s all anyone is talking about!” Thor boomed through laughter, his voice resonating above the thumping music. Loki frowned, shaking his head as he tried to convey his confusion. “The dress, brother! Y/N’s dress. Rogers is of course, furious, but the high praises you are receiving will surely balance out any misgivings he may have over your disobedience, I am certain.”
Loki nodded, making jumbled excuses to his brother before crossing the dancefloor with his jaw set, fire rising in his heart. The man’s hand was lowering down the exposed skin of your shoulders, his eyes trailing your cleavage. He was whispering in your ear, causing you to throw your head back with laughter, your coiffured curls bouncing. The scoundrel’s hand slid lower, threatening to cup that exquisite ass. “Pardon me” Loki murmured, placing a firm grip on the stranger’s shoulder. He squeezed. Hard. “May I?” he intonated menacingly with a forced smile, tilting his head towards you as the man’s brow furrowed. Loki ignored his mumblings, pushing him briskly away before sliding to take his rightful place flush against your body.
Your hand nestled in his palm, his other lightly encircling your waist, breasts tight to his chest as you began to dance. Loki enjoyed the reluctant smile of enjoyment which twitched at the corners of your lips, the thrill of contact under the cover of believability a welcome surprise. “I liked the red, you know…” you said loudly, straining to be heard against the music. Loki chuckled, his eyes crinkling. Gods, you were funny. You pressed your fingers against Loki’s shoulders, pulling him down slightly to meet your lips at the base of his ear, “but I like the green better.”
Loki’s stomach flipped. The low pulse of bass radiated through his chest as you slid a hand down his torso, releasing a devastatingly low moan deep in his ear. “Darling…” he whispered, “be careful.” His eyes flickered to a photographer circling Thor doing jaegerbombs with the mayor a few meters away. He could feel his cock hardening against his thigh, his arousal tight against the expensive suit. One picture in an overly affectionate embrace is all it would take, and he might lose you forever. He removed his cheek from yours, gazing at you questioningly. “I do not understand you, Y/N” he murmured, the level of his velvet tones barely audible over the din as he swayed you back and forth. “Would it be so against your sensibilities for those around us to know you’re mine?” Your heart pounded. Mine. There was that word again. You had thought a lot about what happened in the restaurant over the past few days, his words re-playing over and over in your mind. You couldn’t recall which were real and which were fiction created by your desperate imagination. “It’s more complicated than that, Loki” you mumbled pleadingly, brow creasing as you willed him to understand. He would tire of you. The attention and intrusion would be too much. His pleasure came from mischief and games, not domesticity. You would gladly play with him, for as long as his attentions lasted – even if it meant a broken heart. “Is it?” From what I can see, I’m good enough to pleasure you in secret but the idea of anyone being party to that fact makes your skin crawl. What more is there to say?” he muttered with a forced smile, watching your eyes widen in alarm. You pressed your lips together. “Follow me in two minutes” you said, turning before he could speak. You noticed Megan circling nearby, glancing at Loki every few seconds as she ran her hands over a confused Scott Lang.
The green chiffon of your dress fluttered around your ankles as you paced towards the side of the stage, slipping behind it away from the buzzing crowds. Loki followed soon after, still wearing that frown. It hadn’t even been a minute. The door barely had time to swing shut before you were upon him, your tongue ravenously sliding between his lips as he gasped in surprise before pushing you gently against the wall. The air was electric, quiet moans of relief escaping you as his hands ran over your curves; mapping you beneath him. “I can’t do this anymore, darling…” he murmured between messy kisses, the words barely registering in your frantic desperation. Loki's palm slid graspingly up the slit of your dress, bringing your leg to rest on his hip. His fingers found their way between your thighs, massaging your clit gently as your head fell back against the wall, his name on your lips.
“What do you want from me?” he whispered, the low embers of his voice radiating against the roll of hundreds of conversations mere feet away. Your eyes opened, finding his as those long fingers slid inside you. “I want you, Loki…” you whispered. Your hands fumbled with his suit trousers, desperate to feel the velvet pillar of flesh you craved beneath your hand as it strained for your touch. “That little dress…” he chuckled reluctantly in spite of himself, “you knew I would not be able to resist you tonight. That man. Such dangerous games pet, you put even I to shame...” You shrugged lightly, a coy smile lighting up your face. He gasped as his cock was freed, your fingers curling needily around the thick girth. Like a tube of cookie dough. You giggled beneath him before his free hand gently covered your mouth. One more day. You couldn't manage one more day. “Need I remind you of our little agreement?” he muttered darkly, thrusting his palm upwards as his soaked knuckles rubbed against your entrance. Your eyes fluttered shut as you shook your head beneath his palm. “No secrets” he murmured, withdrawing his fingers slowly from your core, “we are beside a stage, after all...should you renege on our bargain.” He brought his fingers to his lips, sucking the mess of arousal from them as your hips keened against his hard body. God, you needed him so badly. Always so badly. He removed his hand from your mouth and lifted you effortlessly, the long green chiffon pooling around your hips as you wound your legs around his waist. A pulley rope grazed your cheek, the wide-open stage curtains to your side throwing light in the otherwise darkened space. Loki’s perfect cock filled you as you let out a choked sigh, a low growl of approval radiating from your lover as he bottomed out. “No secrets, Loki" you groaned, as he thrust slowly into you, "it works both ways”. The movements were deep and contained. Tender, despite the circumstances. He chuckled through a quiet moan of pleasure, “Alright…” he murmured against your skin, his lips ghosting against the fine hairs of your cheek. “I need you to be mine, darling. That is my confession. I need it. I need you.” There was no sound but Loki's low primal groans as you tried to process his unexpected words between searing waves of bliss, his cock dragging across the ridges of your tight channel. “But I am yours, Loki” you moaned to the ceiling a little too loudly, feeling his hand creep once more across your jaw. “No, pet. You m-misunderstand me", the firm tone of his voice wavering under his tight thrusts against your mound, “I wish for us to be exclusive, as you say.” Your stomach soared, a wave of fire and nerves rolling up your body as his words ignited dynamite between your legs. You clenched against his cock, a deep hiss escaping Loki’s lips as he tightened the grip of his hand. “Quietly, darling…” he sighed, pulling your ass closer to his hips as he re-angled himself. You felt yourself beginning to climax with every edge of his muscle, his pelvis tugging your clit with every devastatingly slow thrust.
Loki's hand fell from your mouth and grasped the edge of the curtains hanging to the side. His hair had fallen from its preened setting, errant strands dancing seductively around his cheekbones and across his brow as he fucked you against the stage wall. “Darling, answer me…” he growled, the darkness of his tone betraying his coming crescendo.
“No more cruel teasing. No more questioning. No more jealous games...I am l-laying...ohhhh, gods...my intentions at your feet. I wish you to be mine, and I y-yours. If that is not acceptable then I cannot c-continue...this, this...fuck.” You raised your hands from his shoulders, cupping his sharp jawline; the angles fitting perfectly into the curve of your palms. “Loki” you murmured, kissing him deeply as his breaths drew short, his slow thrusts erratic, “Answer me…” he growled, feeling your walls tighten and ripple with climax as he buried inside you. Your legs tightened, drawing him close as you both spiralled, foreheads pressed together as you fought to contain your cries to the party beyond. Loki’s fingers tightened around the skirts of your dress, tugging mercilessly as he filled you with his seed. Low grunts vibrated against your ear, the effort of containing his animalistic moans making him shake. A loud rip tore between you as a strand of emerald fabric fluttered to the ground, turning red mid-flight. Deep exhales filled the space as Loki’s gaze fluttered upwards to meet yours tentatively. “Answer me, darling” he whispered between staggered breaths, pressing your back against the wall. Your head swirled, his eyes were so beautiful. Were you going to...surely not- “I love you, Loki...” you whispered shakily, feeling as though you had jumped from a great height. Falling through the air. Waiting to hit the ground. His brow furrowed, lowering you to the floor. He pulled up his zipper, turning to gracefully pick up the ripped red chiffon tear, running it thoughtfully through his fingers. “Are you sure you are not mistaken?” he murmured, as the material turned once more to deepest emerald green. You felt your chest tighten as he raised his gaze to yours. You nodded slowly, watching his eyes narrow. “Good.” he muttered, re-attaching the fabric to your dress with a flick of his wrist before descending. His hand clasped to the back of your head, absorbing you. Wet kisses rained with new force as his full strength bore down like a tropical storm. Your breath hitched as he surfaced for air, wildness firing in his eyes as he clasped your jaw between his large palms. “I love you, Y/N” he murmured through heavy pants, “desperately...my precious mortal.” He pulled your face to him again, his lips and tongue and teeth claiming you like it was the last time. Your heart was thundering, senses overloaded under the weight of longing confession as you melted together, forgetting the world beyond the curtains. Neither of you heard the side-door creak open. Neither of you heard the sound of a low gasp from the doorway. It went unnoticed, a ghost, as the door shut again with a soft click

Tbh I am taking the og loki and TVA Loki as two separate variants. Like how TVA Loki is different from Narcissistic Loki, Classic Loki, Sylvie, Croki etc. I think the mistake the writers made was presenting TVA Loki as the og Loki, instead of ya know... His own person and like what exactly besides escaping the Avengers with a tesseract made him a Variant in the first place. His everything in general to be precise.
you know, i see what you're saying. but i violently reject the term "variant" for OG LOKI.
because that term is an artifact of whatever the hell disney plus has puked out over the last couple of years and slapped LOKI's name across, for public clout and ratings.
imo, there's no such thing.
also - even in-universe of that shitshow, "variant" is the label applied to any multiverse version of a person who didn't follow the "approved" path of decisions and actions which would lead to the desired outcome. therefore by definition, LOKI prime would not be a "variant", he's the "correct" iteration of his existence. but i digress.
OG LOKI and his franchise is to me an entirely separate story. much like the twilight franchise vs fifty shades of grey. one was inspired somehow by the other, but bears no relation or connection to it otherwise. the only difference was, those two stories have no overlapping characters.
but then again - neither does the LOKI series with thor 2011, avengers 2012, and thor 2013.
whatever is in the series is not LOKI. and it infuriates me that they even dare to claim that it is. he's certainly a tragic figure if you can tolerate the nonsense storyline. but altogether more pathetic, ineffectual, ethically challenged, and ultimately far less compelling.

Even in the Dark, I Feel your Resistance
Avenger Loki/Avenger Reader Fluff
Summary: You are terrified of the dark and all the scary things that could be lurking in it. After recalling a special memory with Loki, you go to him once again for comfort in the form of cuddles and deep conversations.
Warnings/Notes: Rated E for everyone! Loki tried to act cold and mean for a millisecond but he breaks pretty easy. This was an old request that I couldn’t see until now thanks to my inbox being practically nonexistent for me *rolls eyes*. But the problem is solved so we’re all good!

You stared silently at your bed as you prepared to turn the lights out, fearful of the inevitable darkness that would soon consume your room. You were ashamed of your fear, you were an adult! Not just any adult but an Avenger, you lived with them in their highly guarded tower that housed literal super soldiers and gods! Yet here you were, afraid of the dark of all things.
You had fought villains and monsters, victoriously living another day to tell the tale. The dark wouldn’t hurt you, would it? Maybe it was what could possibly be lurking in the shadows that scared you. And after your most recent mission that involved hunting down mutilated alien monsters that were straight out of a nightmare, sleep seemed unreachable.
You never told anyone about your fear, well, no one except Loki. The dark, brooding god who many feared somehow got that information out of you.
It all happened one stormy night when the team arrived at the tower well after dark, soaking wet from the rain. The tower was dark, every corner hidden by a shadow. Tony claimed that the generators had failed and the elevators were down, therefore everyone would have to climb the dark stairs to return to their rooms. Damn Stark and his iffy technology, perhaps he should properly test it against harsh conditions instead of immediately making it the prime source of power for the tower which housed and employed hundreds if not thousands of people.
Everyone found flashlights or used their phones to find their way back. You, however, forgot your phone in your room that was many stories above your head. Everyone departed quickly, the only person who you could ask for help was Loki as he used the glow of his sedir that he had manifested into a ball of light in his hand. He seemed to stay behind for longer than the others, to this day you don't know why.
“L-Loki?” You recalled stuttering his name, trying your best to hide your fear.
“Yes, agent?” He asked.
“Can I walk with you? I forgot my phone and I couldn’t find a flashlight. I mean, we're on the same floor so it shouldn't be an issue I hope.”
You couldn’t see him well until the room lit up with a flash of lightning, causing him to tense up, “Of course, agent. Don’t fall behind.” He turned around to continue his journey back to his room.
You remembered your struggle to keep up with him amongst all those flights of stairs, his long legs carried him significantly faster than yours could. Eventually you tripped on a stair in your attempts to catch up, letting out a small yelp as you fell to your knees. The darkness wrapped around you as you stayed there, too scared to move.
The darkness soon drifted away as an orb of light came towards you and a hand reached out to you.
“Are you hurt?” Loki asks, placing his hand on your shoulder.
“N-no, I don’t- I don’t think so.” You didn’t mean to cry in front of him, you couldn’t stop.
“Hey, what's wrong? Why are you crying?” His deep voice went soft, a deft finger met your cheek as he wiped a tear from your face.
Shame flooded you, how could you tell him such an embarrassing fear?
“I just don’t like the dark.” You choked.
“You are afraid of it?” He asks.
You nod, confirming his words, “Terrified.”
“Come here.” He reached his hand out, offering for you to take it. You gladly did so, needing the support of another. He helped you up and pulled you close to him. You recalled his scent, the wet pieces of inky hair that framed his face. He was normally so well kept, not a hair out of place. He looked so raw, so vulnerable. “Hold on to me, okay? I promise to walk slower.”
“Thank you.” You croaked, your arm now locked with his.
He walked you all the way back to your room that night. You recalled how his muscles would tense underneath his shirt at every rumble of thunder or strike of lightning. You didn’t think too much about it as you firmly held his arm, every thought of your fear melted away when you were with him. It was a feeling that no one else had ever made you feel.
You pulled yourself out of your head, remembering where you were right now. The thought of Loki’s support gave you the strength to turn off the light before you ran and jumped into your bed, taking cover under the sheets. They gave you a fleeting moment of safety before you looked at the dark room surrounding you. Pale moonlight seeped through the small cracks where your curtains failed to meet, flooding small pieces of your room with the subtle light. Was it your head or did you see something move out of the corner of your eye? You had no pet or other living thing in the room, so obviously it was nothing… Right?
Your eyes were wide as they stared at the shadows caused by the little slivers of moonlight, you recalled every piece of furniture in your room trying to comfort yourself, they were only shadows. You counted your dresser, your couch, your television, inanimate objects that were harmless. The shadows stared back at you, at least you thought they did. If you stayed here you knew you would not be sleeping.
You didn’t think twice as you shot out of bed, wrapping a blanket around yourself as you ran out your door, using the flashlight on your phone to light your path. After that night, you never forgot it again. Your feet led you somewhere safe, to someone safe, someone who understood you. And you prayed that he was awake to hear your knock at the door.
Sure enough, the door opened after you heard muffled footsteps on the other side.
“It is late.” He states the obvious.
“That’s the point. I can’t sleep, the shadows-” You began to explain before he moved aside, inviting you in.
“I know darling, come in.”
You carefully walk past his tall frame, turning your head to hide your blush. You had no idea he slept shirtless.
“I apologize if I woke you, I can go back.” You take it back.
“Well, we can’t let those pesky shadows get to you, can we?” He leans down slightly, brushing a tangled strand of hair behind your ear.
You smile and shake your head, “No.”
Loki walks back to his side of the bed as you stay frozen in place, your stomach feeling as if it were a butterfly cage. Only a lamp lit the room as he pulled the green comforter back, patting the empty spot next to him, motioning for you to join him.
You walk over to join him, still wrapped in your own blanket from your room. Loki gave you a soft smile as the bed dipped next to him from your body meeting his mattress. He reaches out for your blanket that covers your body.
“May I?” He asks for permission to unwrap it from your body.
“But I need it!” You protest, holding it tighter.
“No you won’t, not with me here. I’ve got you, nothing ever will harm you.” He promises.
You take his word and loosen the blanket as his hand takes over to remove it and place it aside on the bed. You wore a loose tee with short cotton shorts to bed, his eyes lingered before looking back into yours, your heart skipping a beat as they met. Surely he noticed the pink tint on your cheeks, you noticed he had it too.
“Get comfortable, my dear.” He says before turning around to turn off the lamp at his bedside.
“Loki?” You cautiously warn him.
“It’s okay, just close your eyes.” He softly demands.
You do as he says, jumping slightly at the slight ‘click’ of the lamp turning off. You couldn’t stop yourself as your eyes came open once again to meet the darkness around you. There was something in the darkness this time, however, It didn’t scare you. Loki moved next to you, wrapping his arms around your form next to him. You buried your face into his chest, his familiar scent filled your lungs like a drug.
“What did I tell you? You didn’t keep your eyes closed.” He laughs smoothly.
“I’m sorry, I can’t help it.” You apologize into his skin.
“Don’t worry darling, nothing will come to harm you.” He assures you, playing with your hair against his pillow.
“I know that but I’m still scared when the lights go off and I don’t know why. It is so childish.” You shame yourself.
Loki pulls you up to him, your faces so close. You can feel his warm breath in tandem with his gentle touch that slowly calmed you to a state of fearless comfort.
“It is a fear, my love. We all have them, not just children. Some of us may grow out of them, some of us may not. It’s just an inevitable part of living.” His deep voice seeps into every pore of your skin.
“What are you afraid of, Loki? If you don't want to tell me it’s fine.” You tell him, not wanting him to feel pressured. He is doing more for you than you ever thought he would.
“Thunder.” He describes his fear in one word.
You stay silent for a second, not expecting such a quick response from the god. “But your brother-” You begin before he cuts you off.
“I know. I had to grow up with rumbles of thunder shaking the palace walls as my brother discovered his power. Sleep constantly escaped my grasp at night. I was too ashamed to tell him to stop, instead I told my mother who scolded him properly.” He gives a little laugh as he recalls the memory, “I’ve gotten over it, mostly. It still gets to me sometimes.”
You remembered the night that he walked you back to your room, when he would jump slightly whenever a clap of thunder shook the walls. “You hide it so well, I would have never known.”
“It helps when I have you by my side. I suppose that night we were helping each other face our fears.” He grins in the dark, inching his face closer to yours, so close that your noses were now lightly brushing against each other.
A comfortable moment of silence was shared between you two. He brought his hand up from underneath the covers and placed it over yours that was tucked by your chest. He wanted to make a move, you could tell. But he was so scared, so cautious, he didn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable. Little did he know that in this moment, it was the most comfort you had ever felt in your life. You inched even closer, your lips ghosting against each other.
Loki could only ignore his feelings for you for so long before they would come to a head. He felt so strong that night that he helped you, despite the storm. Having someone rely on him and trust him, it was a feeling that he had never felt before.
“Do you want to know why I stayed behind that night, even after everyone else departed?” He reminds you of that night once again.
“Why?” You ask in a hushed tone.
“Because I wanted to help you. And I wanted you to stay with me so that I wouldn’t be alone.” He confesses.
“Why me specifically?” You question him with flushed curiosity.
“I wasn’t sure at the time. You just had this presence that comforted me, I didn’t understand it.” Your fear of the dark is nearly forgotten as you listen to him speak.
“Do you understand it now, the feeling?” Your fingers intertwined with his hand that was resting on yours.
“If I'm not mistaken, I think we both do. You are… different. In a good way, of course. I’ve never been this comfortable, this honest with any other person, not even my own family. I’m drawn to you, my love, if I may have the pleasure of calling you that?” He lifts your hand up from beneath the sheets to give it a soft kiss. Even in the dark, you can see the sincerity in his beautiful eyes.
Your smile is hidden by the darkness surrounding you two. Instead of instilling you in fear, it wrapped around you like a warm blanket. The dark made the perfect background for such a deep and intimate conversation as his warmth surrounded you, protecting you from the outside world. You didn’t answer, no words could describe what you were feeling right now. You didn’t need them anyway. Instead you confirmed your feelings with a light kiss to his lips beneath the cover of night. It was short and sweet, he barely had time to process what just happened as he silently gasped.
“Does that answer your question?” You grasp his hand tighter.
Loki groans in content, moving his body to settle even deeper into the mattress. Your legs tangled with his and your face found a home in the crook of his neck, his black strands of hair tickled your forehead before he leaned down to kiss it.
“It does.”
It was there, in the arms of your god, you drifted into a peaceful sleep. A deep sleep with no frights or nightmares. The darkness, the one thing that you feared the most, surrounded your bodies and enveloped your space. Your old fear turning into your closest friend, making it seem that the whole world melted away and the two of you remained. He was the only thing that mattered, and to him, you were his whole world. A world with no fear or darkness, only love and peaceful nights, forever.

Tom Hiddleston Gave Us Clarity For His Comments About Concluding Loki's Journey, And Addressed Whether He'd Return To The MCU
Major spoilers for the Season 2 finale of Loki, “Glorious Purpose” lie ahead.
Viewers were graced with a truly wacky and emotional Loki Season 2 finale last week. The installment proved not only saw the titular character not only save his friends at the Time Variance Authority but also obtain that glorious purpose he’d long been searching for. Tom Hiddleston – the man who has brilliantly brought this character to life – recently made headlines when he said he viewed the episode as the conclusion of his journey as the character. However, he provided CinemaBlend with some clarity on those comments while addressing whether he’d be open to returning for upcoming Marvel movies or shows.
During the final moments of the finale, the former Asgardian mischief-maker managed to save all of reality by destroying the Time Loom at the TVA and revitalizing the dying timeline branches. With that, he took his place as the God of Stories at the End of Time, where he’ll now watch over all the various branches. Such a development feels like a fitting conclusion, so one can understand why Tom Hiddleston would refer to it as such. However, when I spoke to the actor, he wanted to set the record straight on that:
Well, yes, I suppose what I meant… Perhaps what I should clarify is that I feel very satisfied with the finale of Season 2, because it seems to contain echoes and resonances of the entire journey. It's almost like a piece of music, where in that last episode, you hear strains of, you know, whether it's in lines of dialogue, we are circling the same themes that I've always circled with Loki. But he's a character who is engaged with ideas of belonging, ideas of identity, ideas of purpose. That's who he was at the very foot at the beginning in the first Thor film, wondering where he belonged, which family he belonged to, wondering what his role was in all of this. Thor was destined to be king of Asgard. And who am I? Who is Loki? And I've been asking that question the whole way. Like, who does Loki think he is? Who's he think he is, and who is he really? And then through the series, in Season 1 and Season 2, I think the confrontation with Mobius and the mirror of Sylvie is another excavation, we go deeper into those ideas.
This is a very interesting take and one that is completely understandable. His sentiments on ending his journey were more based on the sheer feeling of satisfaction he feels over his character’s current position. I feel the same way, especially given the points the actor so eloquently mentioned during our conversation. The show (which is available for Disney+ subscribers) does indeed maintain the themes of identity and self-worth that have been synonymous with the antihero since his introduction in 2011’s Thor. So if this is his swan song, that’s surely one heck of a way to go out.
With that being said, there are still MCU productions on the docket that could serve as prime places for the character to return. (Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars come to mind, immediately.) Tom Hiddleston went on to tell me that he appreciates the “poetic” nature of the 2023 TV schedule entry's Season 2 finale, yet it sounds like he can’t say for sure that he won’t reprise his famous role again at some point:
So the end of this was just, it felt like a poetic redemption like the end of a piece of music, but I don't know if it's… I mean, I've made the mistake before of saying goodbye and saying goodbye to this great team at Marvel. And it's been emotional, and we swap notes and [they’re] saying, ‘Look, we'll love you. You’re always part of the family. Come see us anytime.’ And then the phone rings a year later. So I'm keeping an open heart and an open mind.
It’s definitely true that this isn’t the first time fans have been under the impression that the former Tesseract wielder has reached the end of the road. He was meant to be killed off in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, and it seemed almost certain he was done after his death at Thanos’ hands in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War. So in short, you really can’t keep a good Loki down, and I’m eager to see whether Tom Hiddleston dons those golden horns again one day.

Prompt: DP x DC or Marvel (Mostly Marvel on this one)
For the record when it comes to DP I can't swear to what is canon/fanon. My DC/Marvel knowledge is better but I can't say which timeline/version is which. They have too many versions of people/events.
So, going with the thought that destroying the Ghost Zone/Infinite Realms would destroy the 'living' dimensions attached to it, it would serve to reason that more than just the "Earth" in that dimension would be at risk. Some fanon speaks of the possibility of 'pruning' dimensions that threaten the Realms sufficiently. Both Marvel and DC have extensive non-Earth people. Given that humans are threatening them, why wouldn't the Ancients turn to older or more powerful people in the 'problem' universe to shut down the upstart humans.
In DC, it could be the Green Lantern Corps. Forget Hal and them, just send someone to OA. It would be in the whole dimensions interest to stop the humans. I don't know GL lore well and I'm sure there are other groups that would come shut Earth down either diplomatically or taking it as an excuse to conquer. That's assuming Spectre himself didn't deal with the GIW and their backers himself. Given what he did to Constantine, he is more than powerful enough.
In a Marvel dimension, it could be the Nova Corps which I know even less lore about but are the closest things to space cops I know of. My original thought actually went to a different authority. Purely on Earth The Ancient One/Stephen Strange/Wong should be all over that kind of problem.
But! Outside of Earth there is a figure who claims to be the protector of the realms of Yggdrasil: (Niflheim, Muspelheim, Asgard, Midgard (EARTH!), Jotunheim, Vanaheim, Alfheim, Svartalfheim, Helheim)... ODIN!
Space cops are one thing, but Asguard is living mythology so the Realms, maybe a representative from Valhalla, sending a message (maybe a delegation of Ancients? Pandora, Clockwork, Vortex, Nocturne, Undergrowth, etc) to Odin that Earth is making trouble and it's his job to fix it? It lose lose for him if he doesn't. One, end of life for everyone there and two if he lets others investigate they might dig up his dirty little secret in Helheim (his 'dead' daugher Hela).
He is less than shocked of human stupidity and decides to send Thor to 'negotiate' and fix the problem. Timeline wise I'd say after Avengers but before Thor: Dark World. So Loki is currently imprisoned. Odin and Frigga think this will be an excellent chance for Thor to prove his ability to rule Asgard. The preferred method would be diplomatic, but Thor is expect to deal with the humans threatening the universe one way or the bloody way. Just in case, maybe Frigga has Loki ready to step in and actually be diplomatic.
So, Thor shows up back on Earth not to be a hero but to take on part (even if a very small part) of the US government. He announces his intentions loudly, maybe it gets overheard and his words (maybe not the smoothest ones) spread around.
Danny Phantom (ghost prince/king?) and his fraid (I know it's fanon, but I love it) get put in protective custody (likely with the Avengers) whether they like it or not. The Ancient actually stepping up and treating the kids like kids (horrors- Danny hates it-mostly) Tracking down Dani is harder, she probably gets in trouble with someone (GIW, Shieldra, etc). I feel like bad/especially dense Fenton parents might be prime pickings for Hydra.
I see a comedy of errors on Thor's part. Some angst from the ghosts being harmed by the GIW. A massive migraine from Tony Stark who is trying to be actually diplomatic, not piss off his own government, and deal with a small mid-western town that has an information lock down his tech hadn't detected before. (The whole of Amity disappeared for a bit) I see Steve taking Thor's declaration badly and not believing that 'ghosts' can destroy everyone. Shield/Hydra wants ecto-tech and has no issue 'detaining' ghosts.
I think I'll write at least the scene where Thor arrives back on Earth.
Other less fleshed out thoughts:
-Hela is totally at least part dead. Is she a halfa too? Hela mentors Danny eventually? O.O Maybe Danny decides he doesn't want to be KIng. Queen of Ghosts Hela. Maybe a less crazy Hela because she had ghosts to chill with all this time? Either way, Odin is in trouble now.

“No. That one is too young,” you sneer as your best friend wanted to set you up with some random dude once again. “He looks like he’s seventeen.”
“He’s twenty and ready to go at it all night long,” she whispers lowly to make sure none of the other guests at the party can hear her. “Look at him. He’s cute, sexy, and won’t take his eyes off you.”
“Babe, with all due respect, you’ve got terrible taste in men, and,” you point at your date, “I have company tonight.”
“What?” she licks her lips as your date makes his way toward you and Pepper. She splutters as Tony; your date holds out his hand.
“Y/N, darling,” Tony wraps his arm around your waistline. You shudder as his arm feels like it belongs around you, “don’t you want to introduce me to your friend?”
“Pepper Potts, that’s Tony Stark, my date.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Potts,” ever the gentleman Tony holds out his hand. He chuckles as Pepper holds her breath, and her cheeks flush red as Tony compliments her outfit.
“Oh, you are Y/N’s date. That’s nice,” she coos.
“Boyfriend,” he corrects. “Y/N and I are dating for a few weeks now. She just wants to keep it a secret for now.” Tony presses his index finger to his lips. “Please don’t tell anyone that this lovely lady stole my heart.”
He puts on a great show. You could almost believe he’s your boyfriend for real. Almost. Tony is charming and eloquent.
If not for the obscene amount of money you paid Tony to be your date at Maria and Darcy’s wedding, you could fall for his charms and good looks.
“Tony, we should greet some more people, don’t you think?” you don’t want Pepper to ask more questions. It’s for the best to make her and all your other friends believe that you and Tony broke up after the wedding.
“Of course, darling,” Tony purrs in your ear. “If you would please excuse us, Ms. Potts. Maybe we can talk some more later.”
“Later,” she nods. “I’d like that.”
Tumblr media
“Stop that,” you tut as Tony, yet again, tries to get to know one of your friends. “Steve is like a breathing polygraph. If you tell him and his husband we are dating, he’ll know we are lying.”
“Darling, I’m the best at my job,” he whispers lowly as his lips press against your ear. “How about I show you what you are paying for.”
“I told you, no sex.”
“I know, you only want to make your ex jealous but you are missing out on a grand-prime cock, Y/N,” you nervously giggle as Tony won’t stop whispering dirty nothings in your ear. “It’s my job to help you relax and to cum like never before.”
“Tony, no.”
Someone clears his throat behind you as Tony tries to move his hand to your ass. “Ahem…”
“What?” Tony grumbles. “We are in the middle of a conversation here. Get lost.”
Your date glares at the man disturbing his charm offensive.
“Darling, you are here too,” you roll your eyes at Loki’s antics. He eyes your date up and down, sneering as Tony possessively wraps his arm around your waistline again.
“Of course, Y/N came,” Tony retorts, “it’s her friends’ wedding. Why would she not come here?”
“I thought she would try to avoid me and my lovely fiancé,” you ball your hands into fists. “You know, I broke things up with Y/N to marry someone better.”
“Your loss, buddy,” Tony sizes your former boyfriend up. “I don’t know what you see in that other woman, but I can tell you, Y/N is perfect. She’s smart, kind, beautiful, and,” he kisses your cheek before he removes his arm from your waistline to step closer to Loki, “I can tell, she loves to get fucked hard, and dirty. I never met a girl making such noises for me.”
“I-what?” it’s the first time you see Loki speechless.
“You heard me, loser,” Tony chuckles darkly. “And I’m telling you, Y/N will take my cock so deep in her tight little cunt tonight she will walk funny tomorrow.”
“Tony don’t tell him all our secrets, baby,” this time, you wrap your arm around Tony’s waistline. “It was a pleasure to meet you again Loki. Greet your fiancé from me.”
“Y/N-“ Loki can only watch you and Tony walk away, giggling and chuckling while your former boyfriend feels like someone kicked him in the groin. “That fucking bastard!”
Tumblr media
“Great. There is only one bed,” you bite your tongue. You wanted a room with two beds, and now, you are staring at a queensize bed.
“We can share, darling...”
“Why did you do this?” you walk inside the suite you booked for your friend’s wedding. “I paid you for pretending that you are my boyfriend. I didn’t pay you for the stunt you pulled out there.”
“Darling,” he roughly cups the back of your neck, “I did it to show that piece of shit that you are mine now.”
He smirks darkly. “What are you talking about? You’re a gigolo, nothing else.”
“See, therein lies the problem,” Tony greedily claims your mouth. He slips his tongue inside, snaking it with yours.
“Fuck,” you fist his jacket. “I didn’t want to fuck you but, how you treated Loki got me all hot and bothered.”
Tony furrows his brows. “Do you want me to fuck you?”
“What will it cost me to get the dick you praised so much?” he cocks his head to look you up and down. “Tony?”
“It’s all-inclusive.”
“All inclusive. I like your service very much, Mr. Stark.”
“You will like what happens next even more…”
Tony doesn’t waste time. He tells you to take off your clothes and kneel on the bed.
It’s a matter of a few minutes before you eagerly kneel on the bed to watch him shrug his jacket down his shoulders. You don’t know how he does it, but he wakes the submissive part in you.
“Good girl,” he husks as you just look up at him in awe. “Look at my perfect girl.”
“Your good girl,” you coyly watch Tony unzip his pants. Your eyes flutter shut as he roughly unbuckles his belt and pulls it out of his pants.
“Keep your eyes open," he grunts. "If you want to be my good girl, turn around, hands behind your back, and face into the cushions. I’m going to show you whom you belong to from now on,” damn that man knows how to fulfill his clients’ deepest desires.
“Yes, Sir.”
“Go ahead, darling.”
You turn around and put your hands behind your back, crossing your wrists.
“Like this?”
“Perfect,” he loops the belt around your wrists, making you gasp. “Relax. I’m not going to do anything you don’t want to do. Tell me your safe word.”
“Peanut.”
“Use it if anything doesn’t feel good.”
You kneel on the bed and press your face into the cushions. Waiting in anticipation.
It feels like an eternity until you finally feel the bed dip behind you. You can hear him tear open the condom package. He groans as he rolls the condom over his length.
How you wish you could get a good look at his cock, but Tony doesn’t want you to watch him. “Relax, darling.”
“Tony,” you moan. “Please fuck me.”
His fingers run up and down your folds, making you shudder as he presses hard against your clit. “Look who’s dripping onto my fingers.”
Tony toys with your clit, rolling the little nub between his fingers as you impatiently wiggle your ass. “Please.”
“I wanted to take my time with you, darling,” he grips the belt around your wrists with his left hand and pokes your entrance with his cock, slowly pushing inside. “Fuck.”
You bite the pillow when he slams his hips into your ass to bottom out in one go.
Tony doesn’t give you much time to adjust to his size.
The moment he’s fully sheathed, he stares at your cunt filled with his cock, groaning deeply.
“I’m going to fuck you into the next week,” he starts moving his hips. You squeak at the first deep thrust. “Yeah, that’s a good pussy.”
You don’t know if he always shows so much enthusiasm when it comes to fucking his clients, but you decide to just enjoy the ride.
At least Tony is worth all the money you paid him…
Tumblr media
Awkward is the right word to describe the situation you are in. You had sex with a man you paid for his company not an hour ago, and now you don’t know how to address the elephant in the room.
“I guess, now that I got what I wanted,” he wraps his arms a little tighter around your body, “I should tell you that I’m not a gigolo.”
“What? I-what?” you splutter.
“Oh, yeah. Funny story,” Tony chuckles. “I wanted to hire someone to keep me company at one of my upcoming parties. Then I saw you and heard you talking about hiring a man to keep you company at your friends’ wedding.”
“Does this mean I did not pay you for sex?”
“Nah, I got more than enough money, darling. I’m Tony Stark, a self-made billionaire, and the owner of your sweet cunt from now on…”

WHB’S Guide To The Loki (616) Comic Canon So You Don’t Have To Slog Through It Like I Did
The chaos, mischief and hijinks Loki gets up to in the Marvel comics run as long and complex as the Thor comics ever did, so for simplicity this starts at the Loki “rebirth” which is where Loki became more of an independent character with his own role to play in the ongoing 616 canon. I will make a separate post for “non-canon” and oneshots and generally good comic Loki content that isn’t part of this arc.
diclaimer: i am Very opinionated and also prone to hyperbolic language so i may insult a comic/arc that you like. it is important that you Deal With It and move on because i cannot and will not be swayed.
“Classic Loki” dies during the Siege (2009) arc, specifically Siege #4. I don’t recommend it as reading personally and if you’re not already reading Marvel, it’ll be confusing and boring to follow. Things to know: Loki cut a deal with Hela to have his name taken from the book of Hel. He caused some Issues and Problems that went way overboard and is killed in the battle.
BEGIN THE KID LOKI STORY:
Thor #617-#619 (2010) - Thor finds the reborn child-aged Loki in Paris using the name “Serrure” (”Lock” in Fench.). Generally recommend this for context reading and understanding Loki’s character “rebranding”
Journey into Mystery #622-645 (2011) - Sometimes referred to as Loki: Journey Into Mystery, this is the bulk of the Kid Loki storyline and spans several story arcs in the Marvel comics at the time. Heavily recommend for understanding of the rest of Loki’s character arc, as well as adorable Thor & Loki sibling stuff and Loki’s goofy little way of talking. The final issues of this storyline are necessary reading for every major Loki storyline after.
The Mighty Thor vol.2 (2011) - some of this happens in tandem to Journey into Mystery. If you’re not super into the Thor comics, this isn’t that important, but it helps inform the events of JiM while you’re reading it. There’s some good sibling stuff and Loki generally being a bit of a scamp, but there’s a lot going on that ties to other major Marvel story arcs at the time that can make this a bit confusing to read.
Fuck Exiled (2012) it doesn’t fucking matter.
Young Avengers (2013) - THE comic!!!! This is prime Kid Loki into Adult Loki content. This is where we got the contemporary Loki design from. This shits gay as hell, it’s full of friendship and drama and Loki shennanigans and I honestly cannot recommend this comic enough. If you never read another Marvel comic, read Young Avengers.
Loki: Agent of Asgard (2014) - OBVIOUSLY THIS ONE! Lots of people made the mistake of reading this on its own without understanding who Loki is in this comic. So much of Loki’s character development in this story hinges on the last issues of JiM. Read the others first THEN this, and you’ll thank me. This one has GORGEOUS art and completely re-shaped Loki’s character for the future Marvel comics. It also spans several major comic arcs at the time, so prepare for more external reading.
Avengers & X-Men: AXIS (2014) - This is a LOT to cope with if you’re not already into the comics, as it has a HUGE cast and a lot of major plots running at the same time. I honestly skimmed this just for bits of my fav characters. Loki appears on only a few, I believe #6-#8. Only read if you’re really interested in the context of the events in AoA.
Loki & Thor: Original Sin (2014) - I am holding this story arc in my hands. I am kissing it. This is PRIME fem!Loki content. This is ICONIC genderfluid Loki matrial. This is PURE fucked up dysfunctional Asgard-fam content. I love this comic series very much for it’s writing and artwork and beautiful moments and please don’t say a mean thing about it or I will cry.
More Loki content happens in Mighty Thor vol.3 (2016). I personally don’t think it’s relevant or necessary reading.
Fuck Vote Loki. Me and the homies hate Vote Loki. MCU will trick you and make you think Vote Loki might be good. It’s not.
The Infinity Quest arc doesn’t do anything useful for Loki imho. It’s one of the many comics in Loki’s current writing that feels like the writers haven’t read any of his previous arc.
Loki: Sorcerer Supreme (2017) - aka Doctor Strange #381-385. Imho the most wasted potential arc they’ve written so far. There’s like One nugget of very good Loki character content and the rest is just a huge waste of time. Would only recommend if you’re feeling comitted to reading as much of the Loki arc as you can.
Personally I think the entire Final Host arc is a complete misuse of Loki given his character development up until then and it simply doesn’t do anything for him.
Infinity Wars Prime (2018) - this is a bit of a Marmite arc. I think it’s setting up for Loki (2019) but it’s very tedious and bland and once again wastes the potential of the multiverse. Good only for ponytail Loki. It may be relevant in the future.
The War of the Realms (2019) - This has a LOT going on, but Loki’s part of this is very integral to how Loki is currently in the canon. This overlaps a little with Thor vol.5
Loki (2019) - This is.... Probably going to be relevant one day. It’s fun dialogue but honestly I truly do not care for this. It’s very slow paced and adds nothing to Loki’s character arc that AoA hadn’t already done. It’s a bit useful for understanding the way Loki has referred to himself since, but tbh... Meh.
Thor (2020) - This places Loki very much where he is Right Now in the canon and his current role. This is the point from which comics will pick up on his story arc, and also takes us back to the end of AoA.
Defenders (2022) - This picks up IMMEDIATELY after the final page of AoA. This is probably going to patch up a few of the issues I’ve had with previous story arcs, so I’m holding out! So far it is a banger.

Welp, judging from the possible spoilers, predictions and interviews I actually think the finale will go fine for every character, except maybe Sylvie.
That would suck, since she truely got the short end of the stick basically the whole show. I still hope for a decent conclusion for her arc, but you'll never know.
To me she is the only wild card.
What I think will happen:
*Loki will take over for HWR and stay at the citadel. I'm absolutely sure. He won't die, the MCU will keep him as an asset and for possible cameos.
The only thing that could go wrong here would be not giving him enough power to make it awesome.
*the tva will continue to exist. But just for monitoring. I'd be ok with that for the sake of the characters (not for the tva itself).
*the variants will get a conscious peek at their time lines and decide to stay at the tva, it will be bitter sweet and melodramatic.
(Mobius might see that his boys are thriving with another Don, OB loves the tva science anyways, Casey well duh, B-15 might stay out of responsibility or because she was meant to die on the tl or whatever).
B-15 officially takes a leading role, Mobius stays in middle management and keeps up morale. He's great at that.
*the multiverse will be free. We still didn't fully get to that yet, and one spoiler tweet claims that the 'lie' from the trailer is indeed the loom. The loom is pointless (in regards to keeping lines stable) and will not be fixed. The multiverse will expand.
The time lines will be stabilized by Loki himself.
*I like Brad as a character, but am ok with whatever might happen to him (possible death)
*Ravonna could get eaten or put back on the time line. Given her recent action she most likely will be an Alioth meal, unless they have one last surprise for her character. We did get a glimpse at her actual life though, so she might make it.
*Kang will have forseen everything up to Loki revisiting the citadel, but will not 'win' there.
The general speculative consensus is that the MCU can either keep him or exchange him for Doom as future villain, so it will be an ambiguous ending for Kang, where it just looks as if he'd won at first.
*Now Sylvie: narratively it would make sense to have her stay with Loki at the citadel. Kang asked both of them to take over.
They have been arguing over different philosophies the whole season, so both of them together would mean balance.
Sylvie is referred to as 'meaningful' and described as having 'a deep connection to Loki' in interviews.
But: the MCU doesn't exactly do couples (with few exeptions).
If the MCU wants to keep using Loki for cameos or even as Avenger prime (hey I can hope ;)), would they have to include her? Could they?
Loki by himself seems easier.
Sophia talked about saying goodbye to her character. (So no reprise of that role).
So Sylvie could either die (fuck that tbh) or get her own mission elsewhere (I'd be ok with that).
Or get reset in favor of little Sylvie if that would work logically (well, fuck that too).
(There will be a 'sacrifice' in the finale, but that could be anything tbh, it could also mean Loki saying goodbye to her and conciously erasing their meeting, if her life gets reset. Great for Sylvie, who would start over with no memories, very sad for Loki, convenient drama insert)
So yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy the finale, but that could be the only shitty thing.
It wouldn't matter much, of course. It's just a show and they hardly end the way I want (not you 'Lost girl', you did great. SPN also).
But I would love to be wrong in my pessimism and get pleasently surprised with a perfect ending.

“What do you know of Asgard?”
Her shadow halted in its slow, ghostlike pacing, rendered a wraith in the demi-dark.
Then she spoke, and the spell was broken.
“Good morning to you too, Prince Loki.”
Her voice was tart-sweet and crisp, like the air at dawn and a fistful of dew-doused wildflowers. Loki wondered how long she had been awake, this time- and how long she had known that he was awake too. He has spent the past few minutes simply watching her, letting the fragile equilibrium hold, reliving a thousand overlapping memories veiled in a haze of barely-waking- a flutter of sharp light through a cascade of drapes, the shadow of a figure moving near silently through the gloom of his bedchamber, the rustle of sheets and reaching out with languid strength to drag her yielding form into his arms, smelling daybreak and high altitudes in her hair.
Sorry. I didn’t mean to wake you, she would breathe out, curving herself up into him, palms smoothing from his waist to his ribs to the plane of his back, her warmth soaking through him. His reply would often be little more than an incoherent mumble as he slipped back into sleep, content.
Extending a hand to the control panel, she leaned over and lifted the lights with a light touch of her fingertip, as though drawing curtains from across a windowpane- the motion just slightly too precise and smooth.
The room brightened, turning as clear as water, and she resumed her pacing, as absent as a metronome’s swing.
Loki straightened.
His mood instantly turned brittle, like ice crystals forming inside his skin.
She was wearing the SHIELD jumpsuit from the first day.
The nondescript, muted navy smothered her, as though it was attempting to blend her into the black steel like a thick daub of oil paint, its streamlined cut mimicking the soft, splitting faux-leather of costume armour; only her boots seemed to have any weight, their dense tread on the mesh walkways implying their thick, solid utility. Her hair was loose, combed and coiffed with a fine sheen of oil, coaxed into an artful swoop of ash-blonde that framed her features, pulling into lax curls down her back- veiling the violet shadows under her eyes, the tarnish in the gold of her complexion, the faint pinch in her brow, gaze dimmed and unseeing as she pivoted and retraced her steps.
Loki could see the wear of a sleepless night in her, rapidly reconstructing how she had spent the hours- lying awake, the gears of her mind whirring in tandem with a resting heartrate that thrummed slightly too fast, primed and overwarm and burning the fumes of the midnight oil, planning and replanning.
He felt a stab of violent self-loathing, like a hot knife in the gut.
Loki had been too exhausted, wrung out, to notice that he had fallen asleep before her, and that she had likely been waiting him out.
“Good morning, darling,” he amended, his tone soft. “How long have you been awake?”
“Mm. Long enough.” Her flask was locked between her hands, her fingernail tapping against its plastic in a restless stutter, like wound clockwork.
Loki pressed the point, carefully, like probing for a suspected broken bone.
“And how long have you been fretting?”
“Thinking. Not fretting.” She corrected without breaking stride, more preoccupied than obstinate. “I bought down a matcha latte- and rose tea. Some people find it a little sweet, but I think you might like it. They’re in the capsule.”
Loki exhaled through his nose, and rose from the bench.
“Beloved.”
She halted partway through a stride forward, rocking backwards onto her heel, like the reversed momentum of a pendulum. Glancing over her shoulder, the gloss of her hair falling aside, her expression was perfectly attentive and expectant- lips parted, eyebrows raised, eyes doelike.
Loki simply gazed back, pointedly.
She gave way, dropping her eyes.
“The visual feeds are operational again. No audio, but Agent Barton can read lips in several languages. And- the device for the Tesseract will be finished in a matter of hours.”
She spoke evenly around the knot in her throat.
Loki gathered himself, recalibrating.
It was too soon.
But- the quicker that everything progressed, the earlier they could set events into motion, biasing the course of future, like carving out a runnel before a spill of water. Preparations would have to be swift and precise to have a chance of holding against the enemy, Loki had known this, but that had been before he had known that his return to Asgard would mean being torn away from her, again, and that it would hurt her too, even if she lacked the full context of why- of what had, once, could they still, did they still-
“A few hours?” Loki forced himself to ask.
“Mm. Before noon, most likely. Dr Stark and Dr Banner are slightly more brilliant than I predicted, which is- good to know. I found out this morning, when I went up.” She flicked a foot out, irreverently, the side of her boot knocking against a reinforced shockproof case, set underneath the terminal. “They gave me that.”
“Manacles, I presume.”
Loki saw the muscles in her jaw shift.
“Power-supressing cuffs. And- a muzzle.”
Loki blinked- then laughed, genuinely amused.
“Oh, dear. Did I unnerve them that much?”
“Who can say,” she said delicately, visibly simmering with resentment.
Given her reaction, Loki guessed that she knew as well as he did that it wasn’t a necessary precaution- but a restatement of victory, or the casual cruelty endemic to those in power. Loki had witnessed it before; he had felt its burn like a brand, had committed such acts himself, as though mimicking the symptoms could generate the source, or trick the world into believing the lie and defraud it into truth.
Even through his delirium, he had crafted his taunts to sink deep. Rather than demoralise the heroes, Loki suspected he had unsettled and aggravated them- enough for them to want to shut him up.
After Thanos, this barely cut at his pride.
After her, he remembered the value of patience- and the taste of delayed gratification on his tongue, aged like wine.
“I’ve already sabotaged them, a little.” The words were spoken against the rim of her flask, the fan of her fingers screening her mouth from the cameras. “The equivalent of blowing a fuse. Just in case.”
Loki softened.
“My generous darling,” he susurrated, circling the cell and opening the hollow pillar. Retrieving one of the disposable cups set inside, he took a careful sip, identifying it as the chilled matcha latte. “How ever shall I repay your consideration, sweet thing?”
She stilled for a heartbeat- then swivelled towards him, breathing deep and smiling against the pressure gathering around her eyes.
“Tell me about your home.”
The redirection was bright and sudden, a clumsy attempt, like a hysterical laugh masking a sob, seizing upon anything true to hide the desperation that Loki saw welling in her.
He lifted his eyebrows. “My home?”
“Mm-hm.” She cocked her head, fighting to maintain her smile. “I only have the tales from Norse mythology, and I know how limited their veracity is, for one reason or another. And- besides.” Her demeanour settled slightly, easing into something unforced, and comfortably honest. “I’d like to hear about it from you.”
For a long moment, Loki gazed at her through his lashes.
He had known, could have guessed, had heard it implied in the undercurrent of her voice and seen it in the burgeoning light in her eyes- how she had marvelled at the worlds she had seen through the Tesseract, devouring every difference and detail she encountered like a glut of honey from the comb.
Loki knew that he could ink her a distraction with his words alone, construct a palace of paragraphs for her to lose herself in exploring, spin a narrative as light and smooth as silver thread for her to follow. He could draw from his memories, rendering them more perfect, a fairytale breathed to life.
For a moment, Loki considered telling her of the beauty of the Realm Eternal.
He thought of describing the prismatic crystal that was Asgard’s foundation, from which the quartz of the Bifrost had been mined aeons ago- its splintered, denticulated spires swirling with clouds of water vapour and stardust, illuminating the mists like nebulae. He thought of telling her of the glorious citadel of Gladsheim, the royal chartered district encircled by a perfect ring of white stone, walls curving out from crescent of the palace towers- sun-struck and golden, staggered like the flutes of a pipe organ against fantasy-blue skies. He thought of telling her of the deep ornamental waters below the ramparts, cascading from the gilded spouts of the artificial falls, turning sapphire in the vast basins and filtering out into canals and tributary rivers to eventually decant into the sea.
He thought of telling her how the districts of the capital unfolded like leaves from the centre- opening into verdant swatches of cultivated garden and elegant fountains, the mirror-smooth seaways connecting the inner city to the harbour and its outer-world trading markets, the vast plazas and broad stairways overlooked by embassies and guild houses, bakeries and sartors, teahouses and drinking halls. He thought of telling her of the soaring skywalks bridging between towers, the open-air markets thriving on the cobbles below, garlanded with strings of glinting star-lights and the delicate foliage of blooming trees. He thought of describing the richness of the air, the people that was its lifeblood, and their snatches of conversation overheard in the streets- artisans discussing commissions through hasty mouthfuls of street food, clerks lamenting the volume of work for the upcoming festival, children bickering over who got to play the Einherjar and who would be the frost giant in their next game, courtiers confirming their next social engagements on the opera house steps, fishmongers bartering prices for the latest catch, merchants complaining about the unreasonable importation taxes on goods from Nidavellir, Valkyries collecting their wares from the smithy- gossip and grudges, affection and aggravations, scandal and stories, creating a shifting music pervading every corner.
He could give her the illusion that he had loved for millennia, within which he had never truly fit as an intrinsic part.
Or- he could tell her of the outer reaches of the realm, the places of Asgard that held the memory of the ancient wild. Loki could describe the close, shadowed thicket of the forest off the beaten hunting trails, the crags in mountain stone left untraversed since the reign of Bor, the passages hidden behind the thundering veils of great waterfalls, the alcoves and sealed chambers and niches of the palace- and the Bifrost, drawing from the raw magic in Asgard’s roots.
He thought of sketching its vista for her- a great ribbon of crystal, polished and cut smooth, four feet thick and straight as a sword, supported on struts of golden steel in the ocean bedrock. He thought of describing how its strata glinted with strands of brilliant colour, ruby and emerald, peacock and rose- how it lit up with each tread, how you could hear it glow, and under the strum of hooves it sounded like splinters of crystals ringing together underfoot. He thought of telling her how the sea below was so dark that it was almost black, how its falls streamed off the edge into clean mist that would condense into rainclouds- and of the Observatory seated upon an outcropping of rock at the brink of the world, a casement of gold, gazing out into darkened skies marbled with lucent colour, like clouds of frozen light and metallic dust, studded with stars and distant potential.
He thought of telling her how many times he had made the long ride out across the Bifrost, to the Observatory, waiting and waiting and waiting-
Loki thought of telling her everything.
“Tell me about your home,” he said instead. “The places you love.”
When she blinked, drawing herself up slightly in surprise, something settled in Loki’s chest.
Loki knew her past. He wanted her present, as well, and her future- and both were tied to this world.
He had loved Midgard, once, perhaps more deeply than Thor did now. His fascination with the realm and his infatuation with its fragile, resourceful, wildly inventive denizens had slowly wasted into antipathy, tainted by a grief and rage that had nowhere else to run.
Under the circumstances, however- perhaps that regard was worth reclaiming. Whatever she loved, Loki could hold affection for by default. Besides which, Midgard would be a likely theatre of events to come.
“Oh. Ah-” She shifted. “We travelled a lot, when I was a child,” she hedged. “And, now- I rarely stay in the same place for long.”
“And nowhere caught a piece of your heart?”
She hesitated, nails scraping against the flask, teeth slicing across her lower lip.
Carefully, without turning his head, Loki flicked an aggrieved glance towards the upper corner of the cell- to where the cameras were mounted, recently restored and running smoothly.
Keeping his hand low at his side, Loki gave a subtle twist of his fingers, his mana sparking.
The veil of magic swiped across her mouth and lower jaw, cool as rainwater. She startled, instinctively balking against it- before stilling, catching herself, letting the illusion settle.
Reaching up, she traced along her jawline cautiously.
Her eyes met his.
Loki smirked, casting the same illusion on himself.
“It will make it appear as though you are speaking a language they do not know, or cannot comprehend- one even outside the scope of the Allspeak.”
“Gibberish,” she extrapolated dryly, even as tension eased out of her posture like a draining tide.
“As any language is rendered, to those who cannot comprehend it,” he demurred.
“And if no one can comprehend it, then it isn’t a language.”
“Wittgenstein?”
“Language as function. Hence gibberish, my prince.”
Loki grinned, unashamed, and watched her melt into an amused smile.
“In essence,” he admitted, spreading his hands in acquiescence. “But only a true omniglot would recognise it as such, and they are scarce few.”
She hummed softly, two fingers rubbing across her clavicle.
Then she spoke.
“There is a house,” she began tentatively, “in Manhattan. Greenwich Village. My childhood home.”
Loki paused, and sobered slightly, lifting the cardboard cup to his mouth.
“I’m surprised you’re not more upset with me.”
“I am upset,” she said blithely, but he could hear the strain underneath, like the full-body ache that followed a broken fever, “even if I understand. It still hurts. I’m still angry. But I’m also both selfish and circumspect. The latter means that I have more deserving targets for my anger, which means I’m not obliged to feel so bad about the former. I’m sure people would still judge me, though, which is- entirely fair.”
Her shoulder and the corner of her mouth lifted in a rueful shrug, like an unbalanced set of scales.
“If I had lost something, personally- well, this might be a different conversation.”
Loki swallowed the mouthful of matcha.
“I have had little opportunity to admire the city recently,” he said, “but I remember New York City, from my previous excursions to Midgard. A thriving cosmopolitan bastion of trade, culture, and-” Loki paused, pointedly. “Outspokenness.”
She inclined her head in agreement, creasing with fondness.
“Although I am not familiar with specific neighbourhoods,” Loki conceded, deliberately leading.
She smiled faintly.
“Historically, Greenwich Village has been a bohemian neighbourhood. Home of subversives and counterculture. It’s pretty gentrified these days, though. Well, all of Manhattan is, really. And Brooklyn. The starving artists and street trendsetters are being priced out of the neighbourhoods they made stylish in the first place.”
Loki watched her keenly, and the way she began relax and warm through.
“Tell me?”
He knew how much he was asking of her, to open up another segment of her heart to him, and one that had been directly wounded at his hands.
She tensed infinitesimally.
Loki smiled, grimly pleased. Brave, but not careless. Good girl.
But then he watched her forcibly relax, as though regaining her balance on a great precipice.
“The district where you concentrated the Chitauri attack was Midtown- the commercial, business and media centre of Manhattan.” She said carefully. “Department stores, art museums, theatre halls, corporate skyscrapers. Times Square, Central Park, Stark Tower. Greenwich is further south. More residential. The street I grew up on is a row of townhouses, lined with apple blossoms. Walking home, it was like stepping into a film set, of that idealised NYC from the movies. I kept track of the season by the changing of those trees. In early spring, when they trees are in full bloom, it’s like- fresh snow made out of silk. It’s stunning on a clear day, against blue skies. And the fragrance- think of something light and delicate, layered over and over itself until it’s almost overwhelming. Like the chiffon skirts of a ballgown.” She gave a short laugh. “It helps to cover the filth of the city, a little.”
Loki instantly thought of the flowering trees on Asgard, their drifting petals gathering like pooling rain in the cracks of the cobbles.
“The house I grew up in is- old money. Grand Neoclassical elegance. Red brick, carved white stone, blue slate- set with these beautiful leaded casement windows, almost twice as tall as I am, that open into the house like French doors. Some days, I would open up the windows, and just- lean out, into the white noise of the city, and listen. Millions of souls, millions of lives, millions of stories. Like air.”
For the first time, Loki felt his insides twist with a flash of sincere guilt.
In the hours following his recapture, he had resolved that regret was useless. He knew why he had done it, and he knew that he would do it again under the same circumstances.
Yet in her love of her city, Loki could hear an echo of his affection for Asgard.
“My bedroom was on the second floor, on the eastern façade.” She ran her fingers through her hair, eyes distant. “Juliet balconies at every set of windows. A daybed with white cushions. Gossamer drapes, bookshelves built into the walls, a white marble fireplace- this ridiculous Baroque chaise lounge and armchair set, with a low coffee table. I would read there so often that it started to sink the cushions.” She huffed wryly at the memory. “At the top of the house, there’s a massive circular skylight- an oculus, set into the slant of the roof, facing into the sky. My father would meditate up there often, on the mezzanine. When it rained, I would go up there with herbal tea, and we would sit there and talk for a while. I was- incredibly spoiled.” Her expression sank, exuding a wistful nostalgia that curdled at the edges the longer that it held. “Privileged. East Coast monied elite. Private school and music lessons and all I could have asked for, material or experience- including an adventure house to grow up in. Long hallways with hardwood panelling, old secrets in the walls, room after room filled with artifacts from across the world and through the ages. It was like something out of a children’s pulp adventure novel, only more fantastical.”
She spoke of her home with a devotion and a longing, the edges cracked, scraping away at the dazzling roseate lens.
Loki understood it, completely.
“Will you go back?” He asked softly.
“Maybe. Someday,” she said, light and expressionless. “But- not for a long time, I think.”
Loki swallowed. It felt like thawing frost in his throat.
“I’m sorry.”
Her head flicked up to him, slightly startled- before shaking her head.
“No. Don’t apologise. This is not your doing.” She said, resolute. “I knew what I was doing. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to go home again, once I started looking for answers. And I made that decision long before the Tesseract showed me you. So don’t be sorry. I have no regrets. I’m that much closer to those answers, thanks to you. Which means I’m a little closer to going home.”
Answers.
They coalesced on his tongue, thick with mislaid truths- everything that she had left her home for, a dense history, waiting to be spilled out- but arrested by the sudden panicked thought of what she would do, once she knew everything.
“It’s alright.” She interrupted quietly, her gaze steady, effortlessly reading his internal conflict. “I think I know what-”
Her lower lip creased slightly beneath her teeth.
“I know enough. I can wait a little longer.”
“And how long have you been waiting so far?” Loki demanded.
She smiled, but the motion was hesitant, failing before it reached her eyes, as though it might split open an unseen wound if she pressed too far.
“Can you forgive me?”

Essential Avengers: Avengers West Coast #55: THE BREAKING STRAIN
Tumblr media
February, 1990
"Let there be an ENDING!"
Yes, please, let there!
Actually, by skipping everything not Avengers, Acts of Vengeance has been fairly bearable.
But still. Let's get this over with.
Last times in Wanda's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Month: Vision was kidnapped by every world government, disassembled, rebuilt wrong, and has decided to join the East Coast Avengers, while leaving Wanda in the West. Wanda was also kidnapped by a Texas college and pumped full of racism goo. And had her children kidnapped and eaten by a Satanist who then exploded because they were actually not babies but chunks of Mephisto. Then, her mentor Agatha Harkness erased Wanda's memories of ever having children. On top of all that, a Deviant kidnapped Wanda to try to force her to marry a snake god.
I'm not surprised she's gone catatonic from all that. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.
In Acts of Vengeance: Doctor Doom's robots sank Avengers Island. The U-Foes burned down the Avengers West Coast Mansion. Freedom Force smashed up Avengers Park and then the Mandarin and Wizard show up to smash it up some more. And Magneto sends Wanda's house into orbit, with Wanda inside.
I swear. The Avengers just aren't allowed any nice things.
Also, they caught the Wizard when the Mandarin ditched him.
And now, house in orbit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Magneto muses on how Wanda is so catatonic that even getting thrown into orbit didn't get a reaction from her.
Magneto: "Clearly the time has come for a more direct approach."
Call me suspicious but I don't think Magneto's idea of mental health care is going to be very good.
But this is Acts of Vengeance. Which Magneto has ditched in order to go see Wanda.
There's an ending to let there be happening.
Thor announces to the assembled Avengers that all the trouble they've been doing through is definitely the act of Loki.
He doesn't know how Loki organized this but he's definitely sure of that.
Wasp is confused because Cloak and Dagger told her that Doctor Doom was behind things, based on their own Acts of Vengeance tie-ins.
And the Avengers have the Wizard locked up in a holding cell, loudly insisting to anyone that will listen that he's the mastermind of everything.
Speaking of the Wizard, he decides he doesn't want to be in Avengers jail anymore.
And he just leaves.
He has a miniature teleportation device built under a false fingernail and he uses it to make a portal directly to Acts of Vengeance headquarters.
Where, to his annoyance, he finds that his fellow Prime Movers don't really give a shit he was in Avengers jail. Because they're too busy debating whether Doctor Doom was ever hanging out with them or whether he was always a Doombot.
The Wizard immediately starts shit by yelling at the Mandarin for abandoning him.
The Mandarin: "Do not blame me for your own shortcomings, Wizard. When the tide of battle turned against us, I withdrew. you should have done the same."
Owned.
The Wizard shoots back that he did withdraw, once he felt like it! So there! But he had to put up with an Avengers interrogation before he could teleport from his cell.
Which Definitely Loki is very annoyed to hear about.
Definitely Loki: "Ignorant mortal! Say thou hast not done this thing!!" Wizard: "?!? Unhand me, lackey! How dare you raise hand or voice to your better?!"
And Loki takes exception to that. And reveals that he's Loki. Duh.
Tumblr media
Kingpin just peacing out while everyone is gawking kills me.
He's the third smartest villain involved. After Doom, who may not have ever been involved, and Magneto, who only got involved to handle some personal business.
Meanwhile, another weird timeline thingy.
President Lincoln is attending the theater, as Presidents Lincoln are wont to do, but when John Wilkes Booth tries to shoot him, as Johns Wilkes Booths are wont to do, it aggros the full force of Kentucky woodsman in Lincoln and he jumps up and slaps Booth's aim astray.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Amazing.
So amazing that Immortus (sitting in on the divergence as a general) wishes he could just leave this timeline alone.
But in order to accomplish his vague goal of becoming master of time again, he has to snuff out all alternate timelines. For some reason.
He returns to Limbo (the time one) and discovers to his annoyance that his Wanda-stalking scanner has lost Wanda due to a "massive disruption of the Earth's electromagnetic field."
My dude.
You can't spy on her in hell. You can't spy on her if there are magnets.
You're being made to look like a chump by people who don't even know you're involved.
Wonder Man returns to the Avengers West Coast Compound from the Mole Man thing last time to find one entire missing cottage which should have a Wanda.
He asks Agatha Harkness, what the shit, you had one job!
Agatha says that the house was thrown into orbit faster than she could cast a spell to do anything about it.
US Agent shows up and says that the cottage is about thirty miles up and ten miles off from where it launched.
Wonder Man yells at US Agent for not doing anything to stop a cottage from launching into space.
... C'mon, dude. He has the powers of Captain America plus the power of being a jerk nobody likes. How is he supposed to stop a house launch?
Anyway, he wasn't even at the compound when the cottage launched. He was at the Mole Man thing too.
He got back just in time to see the house blast-off and then checked the tracking system to find where it had gone.
Wonder Man just wants to fly off after Wanda. Even though his belt jets don't work in space.
US Agent suggests using one of the space-capable Quinjets instead.
Wonder Man: "Well, this is a first! You being the calming influence in a situation, Agent!" US Agent: "Belay the jabber, Wonder Man.
The two find the house just floating in space.
Houses don't just launch themselves, usually, so US Agent suspects some supervillain plot. And since Wonder Man is near indestructible, he gets to go poke around while US Agent watches the ship.
And for some reason, Wonder Man puts on a space helmet. Guy doesn't need to breath but constantly wears space helmets or lets people grow gills on him.
Maybe he just wants to feel like one of the cool people. Maybe that's where Vision got it from.
Tumblr media
Anyway, when Wonder Man approaches the orbiting house, it explodes in his face.
Geez. The Avengers just can't keep a headquarters unexploded, unsunk, or unburned down in this event.
But not time to follow up on exploding space houses. There's Acts of Vengeancing to wrap up.
Loki has the villains too stupid to have peaced out (Wizard, Red Skull, the Mandarin) magically levitated so he has a captive audience to rant at.
Loki: "FOOLS! Stupid, mortal imbeciles! And all the greater fool is Loki, that ever I did trust the petty egos of mortals with the consummation of my plan! I didst think that by directing so-called super-villains into attacking champions unaccustomed with their powers I could rid this world of super heroes... And in the process once and for all destroy those who have so long vexed me by their very existence!"
Loki singles out Wizard to yell at. Because teleporting directly from the Avengers' holding cell to Acts of Vengeance HQ means that if Thor uses Mjolnir, he could track the energy trace and just show up!
Thor: "Say thee not 'if', beloved sibling... Say thee rather WHEN!"
You have such a good sense of timing, Thor.
Also, he brought Dr Pym, Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Captain America, Wasp, Iron Man, Vision, and Falcon with him to kick Loki's ass.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Loki responds to imminent booty thrashing by dismantling the Acts of Vengeance HQ to reveal it was located on the Isle of Silence this whole time!
The very place Loki was exiled when he tried to get Hulk and Thor to fight, which caused the Avengers to form.
So now Thor understands the why.
And despite being a place of exile, Loki has spent so much time here (a lot of it voluntary) that he has mastered the dimension.
He brings forth Silent Ones from below the ground to fight Captain America. He tangles Hawkeye and Mockingbird in roots. He buffets Falcon and Wasp with winds. He creates a plume of fire that engulfs Iron Man.
Cap tells Thor to go beat up Loki since he's the best one to do that. Not bogged down in some mischief currently and also very experienced at punching Loki in his Loki face.
Thor chases after Loki and Loki scampers away saying he'll only fight in a time and place of his choosing when he thinks he'll win! He creates a wall of ice between him and Thor.
Focused on the Avengers, Loki loses his hold on the Wizard, the Mandarin, and the Red Skull.
Red Skull argues this is their best chance to strike at the heroes, while they're distracted.
The Mandarin calls him a stupid dumbass. This whole thing has been Loki's scheme and Mandarin isn't going down for it. He's leaving Loki to his own failure (like he did the Wizard. Consistent.)
When Loki dismantled the meeting place, he left the walls lying on the ground. And the dimensional portals built into each door is still active so the three villains not smart enough to fuck off until now now fuck off.
Wasp and Cap notice the villains getting away but, eh, they're busy right now. They'll get them next time.
Tumblr media
Thor just smashes through the wall of ice because it's ice.
Thor: "Show thyself to have at least some fragment of our father in thee! Some small spirit of the godhood! Of the nobility which is our birthright!" Loki: "Speak to me not of nobility, Thor! Thou dost speak of music to one born deaf! There is but one Lord Loki serves, and that is power!"
Funny to think that in recent years, Thor gets along much better with Loki than he does with Odin.
Loki creates a giant rock hand to crush Thor but Thor crushes the hand instead. And hits the ground so hard that it makes a fissure that Loki falls down.
Tumblr media
Which Thor then seals up so he can't escape.
Pretty perfunctory conclusion to this ENORMOUS company wide event.
Cap is like geez did you just kill him but no, "gods do not perish thus" not even Loki.
Loki is just trapped under millions of tons of Earth. But alive.
Thor explains that Loki was Big Mad that his actions created the Avengers so he wanted to destroy them with this big villain team-up. But he only strengthened the resolve of the heroes.
Thor: "Let the evil minds of the world beware! Ever and always shall the Avengers prevail!"
Yeah, Old Man Logan's backstory set-up IS dumb, Thor.
Anyway. Everything is solved forever.
The West Coast situated Avengers return there.
Iron Man flies off in one direction, Hank and Jan in another direction in a Quinjet.
Janet and Hank re-explain the plot and how Loki was Big Mad at creating the Avengers.
... This is really a lot more explaining than is needed.
I do like how Jan puts it.
Wasp: "So... that's that! Another threat ended, and this time it all started because Loki got tired of the other villains poking fun at him at the annual bad guys' picnic!"
Hank lands the Quinjet in the hanger. He goes off to check on Tiny Tigra and Wasp goes to change.
Another day, another new Wasp outfit.
But after changing into the blue and white number, Jan goes to check on Wanda.
The cottage seems to be back in place but Wasp finds US Agent sprawled on the floor and warning her to get away while she can.
Wasp: "Get away? From what... ? Who... ? What's going on here? Where's Wanda? Where's Wonder Man?" US Agent: "Dead! Blown to bits out in space! Get away... Get away..." Wasp: "Wonder Man... killed?? But... by who??"
Tumblr media
Scarlet Witch: "By me, Janet! I dealt with him as I shall deal with all the Avengers, now that my power has been finally unleashed!" Wasp: "W-Wanda...??" US Agent: "Tried to warn you... Now... Too late... too late for everyone!"
Ahh, knew we'd get here eventually.
If there's three things everyone knows about John Byrne's Avengers run, it's Vision being disassembled, Wanda's children turning out to be devil chunks, and Wanda having a heel turn.
So whatever happened in space between Catatonic Wanda and Magneto, Wanda is Evil now and also had an Evil Costume Change and Haircut.
Honestly, this isn't a bad look for her. Shame about the whole evil thing, she looks stylish af.
But next week I'm alternating over to Avengers. I'd consider doing the Evil Wanda plot before switching back over except there's a weird interruption in the middle of the arc where Byrne quits the book in a huff.
So best to stick to alternating. Besides, the Avengers got stuff going on too. Remember all that stuff with Real Nebula and that one old man who blew up his own house? Yeah, that stuff is popping off!
Follow at @essential-avengers for all the best vowels. You like A's? I got tons. Buy them in bulk because this is an Avengers blog. Like, reblog, comment, whatever.

I HAVE FLUFF FOR YOU 🥴
Okay so the reader is a hacker working for the Avengers and she has a habit of snatching up a bunch of snacks from the kitchen/pantry before going into her office and helping assist whoever’s on a mission at the moment. She doesn’t know it but ever since he moved to the tower to join the Avengers, Loki’s been observing her and her patterns.
One day she goes to her office to assist Nat or Clint (up to you which one of them) on their mission and she finds a basket of her favorite snacks sitting on her desk. Then she checks her security footage (because she set up a hidden camera in her area to make sure Thor’s not stealing her sweets when she’s not looking lol) to see who could’ve left it and she becomes all giggly and happy when she realizes who it is because she’s been crushing on Loki since he moved in.
Up to you if it ends there or if you wanna keep it going and make it even fluffier 😄 Congrats on your 1K!! You absolutely deserve it and then some! 💖🤍

A Tasty Snack
"Thor..." you muttered, combing through the leftover snacks in your drawer. Lock tampered with...again, by someone's meaty hands. It was a traditional that you let yourself indulge in some extra treats when you were pulling late shifts helping Nat with remote mission ops. It was past 2am, prime time to hack into enemy systems...and you needed sugar, stat.
"What is it with that guy and sugar?" you muttered to yourself, searching between the savoury offerings fruitlessly. You sighed, resigning yourself to your fate. No sugar for you.
You climbed the stairs back to the SHEILD floor, your footsteps echoing in the empty corridors. You liked this time of night, no one around to bother you. No questions about that one terrible date you had with Bucky, or have Captain Rogers ask you the most basic questions about his phone.
You paused at the end of the row of cubicles, your eyes falling on an unfamiliar addition to your sparsely populated desk. Brazenly placed beside your laptop was a woven basket brimming with your favourite snacks. European chocolate: Maltesers, galaxy caramel...was that...red Swedish fish?
You fell on them, ripping the bag like a demon and stuffing several of the soft sweets into your mouth with a satisfied sigh, your head falling back in relief.
You frowned, suddenly realising they could be poisoned. If someone was going to off you, this would probably be the way to do it.
You checked your pulse. All good so far. Your mind whirred, chewing on the ball of strawberry jelly in your mouth. Nats data hack could wait ten minutes...you had some business to attend to.
You slid into your chair, opening the bag of Maltesers to your side and tapping into the internal network. Being a hacker had some advantages, namely complete access...albeit unauthorised, to the tower's security system. Tony wouldn't mind, you thought, popping another Malteser in your mouth, after all...your personal safety might be at risk. You began typing codes to the floors you needed, dates...times. Floor 53. 1.57am. You frowned.
A dark figure was blurred on the footage, their back to the camera. You skipped several frames, watching as long limbs moved forward and opened the door to the shield offices. A flash of the basket was visible from the side. Bingo.
You skipped forward. Their face would be visible when they came out. Was it Bucky? The dark hair from the back was kind of right. You grimaced, remembering the date from hell. Never again. Maybe the sweets were poisoned after all. The tape stopped, a juddering image of the still-closed doors taunting you.
You looked at the clock, 2.09am. Did you miss him come out?
You looked around the ominously empty rows with dawning realisation, the mysterious figure bearing sugary gifts had never left.
You rolled your chair back from the desk, reaching forward to grab a stapler. You were no Natasha Romanoff but you'd give them a decent fight if you had to.
"Hello?" you shouted, gripping the stapler as a low chuckle radiated from behind you.
"If this is what you do when someone brings you a gift, remind me not to get on your bad side."
"Jesus, Laufeyson...you scared me half to death" you gasped, breathing a sigh of relief. The god of mischief could be a little weird, but the clue was in the name. And he was super hot. You may not be an Avenger, but you had eyes.
"My apologies" he murmured with amusement in his voice, "I simply wished to ease the angst my brother caused with his pilfering ways."
You nodded at his explanation, before your forehead creased. "How did you know about his pilfering ways? Or my 2am snack run? Or that I'd...be here? Or what my favourite snacks are..." you said, not bothering to hide your suspicion.
Loki smiled, ambling closer with his hands in his pockets. "You're not the only one with eyes all over this tower, darling. And my eyes have been on you for quite some time."
Shit, was he...flirting? Ominously flirting?
You coughed lightly, setting the stapler down on the desk. "I have some work to do, if you don't mind waiting maybe we could...get to know each other better? Over some of these treats, perhaps?"
You watched him sit allllll the way down in a swivel chair from his towering height, his thighs spreading moreishly as those hands rubbed along their obscene length. He brought one foot up to rest on the other knee, the creases of his trousers tightening around his hips as you felt yourself becoming hot under his sultry stare.
"OK, cool...cool" you managed, swivelling round to begin your work. Ten minutes. He was going to be staring at you for ten minutes.
"You want a snack? Help yourself..." you murmured, keeping your eyes on the screen.
"Which one is the most delectable?" he purred seductively, making your eyes widen towards the screen as you internally screamed with the utter ridiculous hotness of this whole situation.
You knew EXACTLY which was the most delectable. God above, Loki Laufeyson was the tastiest snack of all. -- Fluff Tags

Thor: The Dark World
Hello I have now seen THOR (COLON) THE DARK WORLD. This film was not as bad as I was expecting it to be, though it also wasn't great so maybe I had just set my bar too low based on how nobody seems to like it that much. I watched this with a visiting friend who had not seen Thor 1 or The Avengers so I did her a Dramatic Presentation beforehand where I explained what had happened in those, except I couldn't really remember what happened in The Avengers so that recap was mostly "then something exploded, I think." So anyway she was a useful non-MCU-person barometer for this one.
Christopher Eccleston is in this yet also he is not, in that we kept forgetting his character existed. He didn't seem to be enjoying himself much either. Which reminds me, this film seemed a bit desaturated in an off-putting way, it was like if you were watching Thor 1 while feeling depressed and the depression had manifested visually instead of just as a metaphor. Because it was a Dark World.
The ending was very confusing, people were jumping in and out of invisible portals (maybe?) and the magic hammer was flying around for a bit like when a plane circles the airport while waiting for a spot to open to use the runway. Stuff was lining up in space except not because we'd have noticed by now if the realms of the gods were that close and it would indeed have a gravitationl effect though not the weirdo ones in this film.
The pacing in this film was pretty poor generally though we felt it did perk up a bit towards the end.
Friend's favourite characters were Erik Selvig and Loki, in that order because Erik is a bit mad in this film (I belatedly explained the mind stone stuff from Avengers 1, having forgotten about that until Erik was in his pants) and goes to Stonehenge (which may be magic or alien or who the fuck knows) to run about naked (and not even at a solstice!!) and then he was in one of those Creepy American Movie Psychiatric Hospitals (or possibly it was a police station in London???) with medication in plastic pill bottles like they don't really do in this country and as mentioned he was in his pants for no real reason and that's all very relatable. So hooray for Erik!
More tumblr-esque-ly, friend was like "i can see why people liked this Loki, he's popped in from a better film of his own to bitch about this one" and indeed things do get more interesting when we finally let him out of jail where he is sat being a goth because Angsty because Frigga got fridged. (It feels like there should be a great Frigga/fridged pun but neither of us could think of anything, which was very saddening. Though we did realise that Anthony Hopkins = Welsh Odin = Woden, which is the best we could do for a pun and fuck it it'll do after struggling for at least an entire minute with the fridged-Frigga thing.)
Natalie Portman was in this film.
They were in London for some reason, cannot remember why. Elves, probably. Oh wait was it so they were in the right country to have the Stonehenge bit? Stonehenge is pre-Celtic which means it's also pre-Norse but it was somehow relevant to the elves stuff, as was Snowdon, which isn't that just a mountain? But it was somehow put there by people in The Olden Days or... okay I admit we were lost by that point, but there are stone circles all over Britain, they were very fashionable for a while but nobody really knows why but if you start drawing lines between old rock things here you're bound to come up with proof that a layline runs though the Prime Minister's bathroom or some nonsense like that. I suppose Stonehenge is our Giza Pyramids in that films make up complete shite about it all the time, and so inspired by that popular tumblr post I have just checked where the nearest Pizza Hut is to Stonehenge and it's at "Solstice Park" about 3 kilometres away just off the A303, hope this information is helpful to someone.
Erm. Yeah it turns out I can remember less about this movie than I thought, so this review is lacking and no doubt as disappointing as the fact that you can't see Stonehenge from Pizza Hut :(

Hate, One Shot
Thanks for the prompt, hope you like it! ppartridgee submitted: Loki and Reader never been a good friends. They hate each other, or so they thought. One day, reader and Loki were playing a game with The Avengers. Eventually they both lost against the rest of the team and they have to sleep together in one room as punishment. I'll leave the rest of smutty night to your imagination.
-
You had been at the tower since before Loki came along. He was sent there to redeem himself, by Odin.
At first, everyone including you had been wary of him and unsure. But over time, he proved himself worthy. Although, you still hated his guts. He was an annoying little shit, always up to mischief and pulling pranks. It drove you nuts.
It was his cockiness too that you disliked, he was rather full of himself and thinking he was the bees’ knees. It didn’t help that women often did swoon when he was around, when he would flirt with them. But you didn’t fall for it, even though he did tease you often and attempt to flirt with you, too.
He wasn’t your biggest fan either. He did get a rise out of your angry reactions to his pranks, but he found you stuck up and he thought you were full of yourself too.
The team all knew you were enemies, hated each other’s guts. It was quite amusing to them. The two of you were often throwing insults at each other, even just in passing.
One evening, it was games night. Plus drinks. Which was often fun, but often ended in disaster too sometimes.
‘I thought it suddenly got smellier in here.’ Loki commented when you walked in and joined everyone on the sofas.
You glared over at him. ‘You’re probably just smelling your own greasy hair. When did you last wash it? A few thousand years ago?’
The team sniggered at the two of you bickering back and fore. Then Tony handed out drinks and the games started. It was a good laugh, until it ended up on a game of cards. Everyone had agreed that whoever the losers were from two rounds would have to endure a punishment, agreed upon by the rest of the team.
You were the loser of the first round.
‘Damn, you guys are on fire tonight.’ You pushed your seat back out of the way.
Loki smirked. ‘You’re just not clever enough, which is nothing new.’
You leaned over and went to smack the back of his head, but he was too quick and swiftly grabbed your wrist, smirking at you. ‘No need for violence, darling.’ When he called you that it always riled you up, and it didn’t fail to do so again this time as he saw the anger rise in your eyes.
You cursed him and sat back in your chair.
But as the game went on, you realised you were in prime position to sabotage him. Every now and then you’d reach over and tug out a strand of his hair. He would curse and glare over his shoulder at you. But no matter how much he pleaded to switch seats with someone else, they refused.
‘If you keep that up, I’ll rip out all your hair, girl.’ He snarled at you.
Not wanting to risk him actually doing that, as you wouldn’t be surprised if he did, you instead starting kicking the back of his chair, which got you more glares.
But your little nit picking seemed to have worked. Because a very rare occurrence happened, Loki actually lost at a game of cards.
The team all chuckled and told Loki how surprised they were that he lost at cards.
‘Doesn’t help when there’s an annoying little ant sitting behind me.’ He grumbled, giving you yet another glare.
The team all went to the other side of the room to discuss what your punishments were to be. And you quickly regretted making Loki lose concentration, because the punishment was not something you’d expected at all.
‘You have to spend the night in room seven, together. All night.’ Natasha broke the news to Loki and you.
‘WHAT?’ You both roared at the same time.
Room seven, you weren’t even sure why it existed. All it was, was literally the smallest room ever that held one double bed and only had room at one side of it to stand. There wasn’t even a chest of drawers or anything else in that room.
You figured there was a small space and instead of just making it a cupboard, Tony decided to throw a bed in there. Just in case.
‘You’ve got to be kidding me. How do you expect me to stay in there for a night with Mr grease ball here?’ You snapped.
‘You said you’d take the punishment for losing.’ Tony said, smirking.
Loki and you stared at one another, neither of you were happy about it.
When you headed to room seven, you were determined to just set the rules. But annoyingly there wasn’t even room for Loki to sleep on the floor, so you were going to have to share a bed.
As you entered the room, your knees hit the bed pretty much as soon as you walked in. You sighed and shimmied up the side to the top of the bed.
‘Well, this is going to be a barrel of laughs.’ You said to yourself.
‘Tell me about it. I’d have more laughs with a toad.’ Loki drawled as he walked in. Instantly he made the room even smaller with his large frame.
‘If you want to use your magic to get me out of here and bring a toad in instead, I’d be more than happy.’ You said as you put your hands on your hips.
Loki smirked. ‘I would, but that would be cheating, darling. We need to be adults about this and ride out our punishment.’ He sat down on the bottom of the bed, and his knees were actually touching the wall.
You scoffed. ‘Hardly a punishment, all I have to do is sleep.’
‘If you want a more thorough punishment, that can be arranged.’ He winked at you and patted his thigh, you knew what he meant.
‘In your dreams.’ You hissed at him and got into the bed after removing your top and jeans, but you kept your bra and knickers on.
Once you were in bed, Loki reached under the duvet at the bottom and tickled your foot. You kicked out at him and screamed.
‘Fuck off! Don’t be an asshole. Just go to sleep.’
‘Didn’t anyone ever tell you, Asgardians only need a few hours sleep. I’m going to be awake for hours.’ He grinned widely and stretched out on the bed next to you.
You just stared up at the ceiling. ‘Did I ever tell you how much I hate you?’
‘All the time. And you know how much I hate you, too. Which is what makes it rather amusing to be stuck in this impossibly tiny room with you for the night.’
You just shook your head and tried to ignore him. Then you rolled onto your side to try and fall asleep, to forget about the annoying god behind you.
But after five minutes, you heard heavy breathing from him. And a rather, sloppy sort of sound.
‘Please tell me you’re not wanking yourself off.’ You muttered, eyes widening as you stared at the wall right next to you.
‘You clearly don’t want to be disturbed, so how else am I to pass the time?’ His voice was strained, he was definitely wanking.
‘Oh for fuck sake.’ You groaned and put your hand over your face.
Then suddenly the noise stopped.
‘How about I make you a deal?’ His voice was right in your ear, making you scream as you launched your elbow back towards him, knocking his chest.
‘Ooof.’ He grunted and grabbed a handful of your hair, tugging hard. ‘Don’t ever do that again.’
‘Piss off, Loki!’ You snapped at him and sat up, luckily, he’d put his cock back in his trousers but you could clearly see the bulge.
‘Do you not want to hear my deal, that will get you out of here sooner?’ He smirked.
‘I dread to think.’ You huffed.
‘Let me give you a proper punishment. Then I will use my seidr to send you back to your own room, and bring you back in the morning before they unlock the door to check on us.’ He said with a shrug.
You pinched the bridge of your nose. ‘What is it with you men, always thinking with your cock.’
‘Who said anything about my cock?’ Loki raised an eyebrow.
‘I made a good assumption.’ You hissed low.
‘All you need to do, is drape that annoying ass of yours over my lap and let me hit you a few times. Then I’ll send you to your room.’
You narrowed your eyes at him. But the thought of just bearing some pain for a few minutes to then get back to your own room, it was an easy option really.
‘Fine. Get it over with.’
Loki looked rather delighted as he sat up with his back against the headboard. He gripped your arm and tugged you over to him, you let out a squeak as you were draped across his lap.
‘Make it quick.’ You grumbled.
Loki just chuckled in response.
He annoyingly tugged at your knickers, making them give you a bit of a wedgie. You grumbled your annoyance at him, but he then brought his hand down suddenly, hard on your ass. You screamed out at the pain, you’d not even taken into account how he was a God, he was a million times stronger than an average man.
‘FUCK!’ You hissed.
Loki grinned at your reaction from the first hit. He began spanking you properly, making you cry out and squirm. He placed his other hand firmly over your back to keep you in place, making it all the worse for you… Or so you wished.
You found yourself SO aroused. You just had to hope that Loki didn’t find out… Then you’d be back in your room in no time.
‘Oh, what’s this?’ Loki suddenly stopped, making your heart jump, scared at what he had found… Though you knew what it was.
‘You’ve either wet yourself, or you are enjoying this far too much.’ He hummed and then had the audacity to cup you through your knickers, feeling your wetness.
You groaned and tried to squirm off his lap. But he put more pressure against you, making your body tremble. Then you could feel his own arousal pressing harder against your stomach. You decided even though you hated him, why not throw caution to the wind.
‘Well, I guess I’ll send you back to your room now.’ Loki said as he patted your bum as a finisher.
But you didn’t rush to get off his lap.
‘How about a new deal?’ You asked, turning your head to look at him.
He raised an eyebrow at you. ‘Go on…’
‘You use those nice hands of yours to get me off. Then I’ll let you stuff that gigantic cock I can feel under my stomach into me?’ You bit your lower lip, waiting for his answer.
But the grin that formed on his face was enough of an answer as his hand slipped inside your knickers and down between your thighs.

Fr fr putting the (evident) queerbait issue surrounding the handling of the marketing (and more) of the show aside, I think my main gripe with the series would have to be just the amount of wasted potential there.
They confirmed an age ago that Loki was canonically not fully in control during the events of The Avengers. There’s so many questions surrounding that alone, especially with this Loki having been pulled right out of the aftermath of the fight in New York. (They even watch his memories and the progression of events in his life previously, so how the hell how did they not take the opportunity for this this not come up??)
Let alone what they could do for examining the very interesting relationships in his family or, maybe even address anything to do with the frost giants and the very character-shaping, evidently-traumatizing effect they seemed to have on Loki way back when?
The reason WandaVision slapped so hard was partially the super cool concept of going through different reality shows, right, but the real appeal? Fr fr was the beating emotional heart of the family the show centred around. It was everything I’d want from a TV show featuring some of my favorite characters that didn’t get time for their psyche to be delved into in the movies! A look at the trauma, grief and (most importantly) love surrounding Wanda and that was incredible.
So, when I compare that to what’s happened to this equally interesting character (who’s also a magic user, mind you (“what are you Loki god of knives?”)) with so very much potential for a show taking him seriously and examining his internal psyche as well? Well, it’s very hard to get invested in much else (for me, personally).
The TVA is a super interesting concept and I love Lokis dynamics with the also great cast surrounding him. Getting to see Tom Hiddleston as Loki is always a treat, but still? Why is it that this show is all these people with Loki as just,,,one of the many present? (And if I was discussing the queerbait as well here I’d start to go off here about how they treated Sylvie as “the only female Loki” with how baffled all the other Lokis were by this fact when they’re supposed to be GENDERFLUID-But I’m not, so I won’t).
I just wish they’d just said “f*ck it” and given me double the Loki by having him be a part of their TVA show taking place after a Loki show of some kind. There’s no way there wasn’t another way to have things take place in such a way where we’d get all these answers (at long last) regarding Loki’s actions for the prime timeline version as well as do their cool TVA show (and have Loki be a factor in that too if they wanted!)
I’d be much cooler with that if there’d already been a show giving me the fully Loki-centric content, plot and answers that I’ve longed for from the prime timeline one rather than wipe him out entirely for little to no reason (other than shock value and not knowing how to handle his character in the grand scheme of things after a point, quite frankly).
