I’m thinking of doing a agere happy mail subscription.

I’m autistic and sending happy mail is one of my favorite things to do. The subscription would probably be customizable, but it could include things like monthly penpal letters, coloring pages, activity sheets, crafts and worksheets. They could be general themed every month (like Valentine’s Day for February) with added customization (you might get coloring sheets of your favorite Disney princess / fictional character).

As much as I’d love to do it for free, I don’t know how long I’d be able to keep that up. So I was thinking of making a Patreon. The higher tiers could get picture books and other bonus items.

Is this something anyone would be interested in? How much would you be willing to pay for something like this?

Obviously people can find their own coloring books and crafts and stuff, but I really look putting together little packages and gifts for people.

what’s one experience you desire to have that you haven’t had yet?

I have never had a bestfriend which I optimistically cling onto the thought of that changing one day. At the very least I have had short glimpses of what I imagine that looks/feels like but never really had the full experience.

I want to fully experience girlhood. Girls supporting girls. I am tired of feeling like it is a never ending competition between me and others as a whole. I just want to be. Person to person, for me it is as simple as that. Heartfelt moments, raw tenderness and at times clumsiness.

I guess since the one's who bullied me in childhood were girls so I naturally be-friended boys for a long time as it felt easier and more drama free.

I do wish I had a girl that I could speak with platonically. Even if it's a pen friend; I've had a few of those in my time. I miss it dearly.

Maybe I should make a "Bestfriend Application" for the shits and giggles but knowing my luck nobody would take part.

Man, I miss Laura. She would have turned 36 a few days ago. There was so much about her where I felt this instant arcane affinity, like a very particular and narrow frequency band where nobody else quite matched up. I thought of her last week when I was handholding a client through the ins and outs of some government paperwork. She lived for that sort of thing, which sounds a lot less crazy when you realize she was an autistic Fordham law school drop out who could never quite get her shit together enough to pursue a career, but coming from me that's a compliment, and she was a fanatical booster of any disenfranchised friend — any acquaintance! — in need of a quick buck or a leg up. She would doctor up people's resumes for free, and she was real good at it. If you needed a reference she would lie through her teeth to employers with relish and aplomb. Deep down she was a lover of schemes in the best and most proletarian way. An old school Yonkers yenta, and selfless to a fault. She would give you the roof over her head and often did. She got into a lot of trouble like that, taken advantage of, mixed up with the wrong people.

She was one of the most effortlessly funny people I ever knew. Often she drove me absolutely fucking nuts, especially toward the end. But for her I should have aspired to her own standard instead of withdrawing. I wish she were around to watch The Bear with me, because she would have loved it. And that Daily Mail headline about Jeremy Allen White would have really pissed her off. She hated when people treated addicts or convicts with anything less than human dignity. She had penpals in the prison system. And now she's gone, and the world is worse off. I comfort myself knowing how much glee it would have brought her to shaft Fannie Mae out of their loan repayment. She got the last laugh on the federal government, and she would have loved that for an epitaph. May her memory be a blessing.

I accidentally pirated an mp3 audio file so I have been listening to it, I probably listen to it around 2-3 times a day I have been listening English dub and it's really good They have an openly gay person (pretty sure they were supposed to come out a nonbinary but eh) and Alltwen other cast are okay with it and are openly supportive Came out in 2014 The main plot is that Tiger and Barnaby are in the second league and they suddenly get offered to be in the first league But plot twist Tiger wasn't ever coming back and Barnaby is partnered up with a new partner (golden ryan) Barnaby has to figure out how to cope with this change while figuring out (with the rest of the heroes) what do all these mysterious attacks mean (and how they are related to justice day) Tiger has to figure out what he is other than a hero I am in love with Barnaby's English VA, the way he says 'Kotetsu' makes them feel like they are inlove and he is heartbroken at Tiger for leaving him Also Tiger and Barnaby are so queercoded (the tram behind it mostly view Tiger and Bunny as a romantic partnership but the statement is its up to the viewers

OK, YOU ASKED FOR IT.... I'm going to give a run down of her backstory and then some fun facts??? Nothing that hasnt been revealed to other players yet, though, cause they all are in tumblr.

Her parents, devout Pharasmans, ran a funeral home in Caliphas, Ustalav. She eventually picked up the trade of mortician once she was old enough. Her parents ended up in a cycle of blackmail and bad deals with a "local man" who turned out to be a necromancer. Once her parents couldn't pay up, the necromancer had them killed.

Rivkah was spared in the attack and ended up in the care of the Pharasman church, where she became a nun. She learned to fight undead creatures as part of a task force to handle undead. Soon after, the church had a confrontation with the same necromancer and Riv was running support on the mission. It wasn't super successful, as the necromancer did get away.

A professor caught wind of these events and interviewed many of the warpriests for his own studies, and quickly took a shine to Riv and they became friends/penpals.

When news of the death of the professor's untimely death hit, it's where the campaign begins!

Some fun facts!

She has a bag of teeth. She collects them from monsters - beasts, skeletons, and other shitty dudes shes fought - but shes particular in who/what she takes from. Also, her baby teeth are in there, and she's willingly given two of them to Carmine's (the party witch) patron - who turned out to be Nocticula. :)

She's likes to lie for fun - but only if it's relatively harmless and silly.

She is autistic! Her special interests are funeral rights and practices and human(oid) biology.

She's afraid of heights and deep water. She's also nervous around horses - she just hasnt been around them much!

I know nothing about Darkseif except what you've explained, but didn't you mention he has a son? I submit: Enemies-to-Lovers redemption arc between that guy and Danny.

Bonus, Danny is penpals with someone in the Teen Titans and they've been giving him advice without actually knowing Danny's true power or who the other party is.

HE DOES HAVE A SON!!

Ok so I myself don’t know tOO much about him but the entire thing with his son is a whole fuckin tHing.

In short summary: The rulers of Apokolips and New Genesis were gonna swap sons as a means of a truce (spoiler alert: Darkseid didn’t keep the truce.)

Darkseid took All Father’s son and tortured the fucker and trapped him in so many various torture devices that he eventually became a master at escape. He became Mister Miracle, otherwise known as Scott Free. I know a LOT about mister miracle but he isn’t the person in question here.

The person in question’s name is Orion the War God. It truly depends on what story you read. Either he is able to quell his rage and goes on adventures with a bunch of New Gods and helps with issues that normally center around earth, or he cannot quell his anger and rage and embraces his heritage. He overthrows Darkseid as the Ruler of Apokolips and goes to harness the Anti-Life equation to destroy Earth.

I really haven’t read much that focuses on Orion besides a few New Gods comics by Jack Kirby. They are truly a work of art.

(Orions helmet is sometimes steel, sometimes purple, sometimes blue. Gotta love color inconsistency. Oh and for those who have only watched the Young Justice tv show, that red fucker is what Forager’s original design looks like.)

I love love love the interpretation of Orion in the Young Justice cartoon. His primary debut is in Rocket’s character Arc in the 4th season. The dude is autistic and is used as a vessel to help Rocket grow as a person and help her stop her neurotypical biases. In the show he tries his best to be a good person even though his entire bloodline and race fully goes against that morality. It’s really hard but he grows as a person as well and learns to accept himself as he is and use his rage to help others. (Oh also he’s literally one of the best autistic characters I’ve ever seen in animated media. Like genuinely it made me really happy to see that they went above and beyond and let this man kick some ass and show he’s powerful as hell.)

I love YJ Orion with my heart and soul. That version of Danny I could absolutely see have an enemies to lovers arc with Danny. The comic version is really a pure villain and even worse than Darkseid.

Also everyone say thank you to Jack Kirby for his wild ass designs because look at this fuckers outfit:

He looks so funky. Imagine a man with that outfit meeting Danny. First thing Danny would comment on would be his wild ass clothing choices.

Oh I love the idea that Danny is a pen pal with a titan. Big question is who? It would be neat for Beast Boy or Raven to be his penpal and slowly get some clues that something is off with this kid. Not off enough to say “wow this kid is a superhero.” But in the sense that they might think something is off in his living situation. They’re both glad that they have a friend they can talk to about just mundane stuff and not have to worry about superheroism for the few minutes a day they read and respond to each others letters/emails.

So I am going to be asking about a character I hate right now, but it's a character that I think about frequently because of his proximity to ALL my biggest blorbos. Charles Fairchild. What brand of neurodivergent do you think he is? I have opinions, but want to see what you have to say.

I LOVE THIS QUESTION SO MUCH!!! because I get to talk about a recent interest of mine: and that's how to be properly neurodivergent affirming for all neurodivergences, especially those that are overrepresented in criminal populations and those who are also overrepresented in those who are ostracised for being seen as 'bad people' due to having and expressing non-neuronormative needs that are a result of a combination of trauma and neurobiology. and not just being able to chalk it up to the double empathy problem, either. I will say I am not an expert in this, and if there's anyone in the community reading this who thinks I've not handled it sensitively, please let me know. I like feedback, and I also like it when people say things nicely because i'm human and fragile too.

First, hate to be your stereotypical armchair diagnoser but something about Charles absolutely screams NPD. And as much as he's not a great guy I love that we actually do get to know him, we get to know not only our usual TSC boys who are bleeding with emotion and just so loveable and hungry for connection and love, but the trope that we're told exists, we see from the outside in politicians and business (usually) men (doesn't James compare Charles to one of those men with briefcases rushing about at rush hour in chain of gold?) and who never really let us in to the fact that they're human. Through Alastair's description of Charles' motivations in chain of thorns, we do actually get to know him and what drives him: fear, masked by ambition. And at this point I want to say: I don't think he has NPD because he's a dick. He just happens to be one as well, and that happens to be one of the ways it presents. It is not the only way NPD can present. Overall, in terms of NPD awareness and hey-let's-not-call-all-these-people-with-this-diagnosis-or-who-would-get-it-if-they-ever-got-help-abusers, Charles isn't the best representation. He's not the worst either; he does get sort of a redemption arc, and though we can speculate about his relationship with Alastair (and have reason to) there is very little that is canonically confirmed about it. So, at this point (and it's taken me a lot of thinking and one (1) Charles POV oneshot to get to this point) I agree with Ari that he's an interesting guy to have as a penpal, for curiosity if for nothing else.

I also think he may (?) be autistic. I've strung this together from a very obscure bunch of observations, the first being Will and Tessa's wedding where he 'had colic and wanted everyone to know' (don't mind me botching my quotations). Not saying all autistics are fussy but you know. Differing pain feeling thresholds that come with different sensory profiles. On top of that, politics is an intense and long-lasting special interest for him. I think some of it is the power, some of it is him still trying to get his mother's attention and love by imitating her even after all of these years, but also: it's a way to exist with people that gives him a more or less scripted role. He's known for quite a few social faux pas (think his engagement announcement at james and cordelia's engagement party! that can't be completely siren power mindpuppeting), he struggles with the social-emotional reciprocity thing (especially when it comes to the being vulnerable side of things and we see Alastair suffer for that), he seems to get irritable in a way that he doesn't understand nor know how to be honest about, and when he does want to say something, he just interrupts the conversation. Overall he seems to be a shitty presentation of a shitty stereotype, many shitty stereotypes in fact (that he humanises, like I've talked about). But. Before we brush off Cassie for that, it's important to have diverse representation of any kind of neurodivergence (including what we find ugly), and I find he does actually balance out james and thomas and christopher quite well. And yes. The TLH gang, more of them are autistic than not. His parents are also Charlotte and Henry and I do know how genetics works. I'd be surprised if they had a neurotypical kid.

Speaking of my absolute faves Charlotte and Henry who we do have to admit are kind of shitty parents during the time Charlotte is Consul I can kind of see how having two flaming neurodivergent kids who they had none of the resources to know how to support, one parent is disabled and one is facing the incredible pressure of being the one to break the glass ceiling of holding an INCREDIBLY stressful job with all the scrutiny that comes with Being A Woman while also kind of unofficially being her partner's caretaker and having two kids with zero time off her fulltime plus job and also has a fair bit of her own trauma in regards to Parents--I can see how the Trauma of Many Kinds resulted in this incredibly underresourced family and we have to recognise Charles is a victim of this. Especially, as we know, how neurodivergent needs are you know--different to neurotypicals--and you've got to be super attuned as a parent to understand the unique things your kid needs. We also have to recognise that growing up with him being doubtless unpredictable did a number on Matthew, six years younger and incredibly hungry for connection.

Overall, Charles is a really well put together character in my view and the way he exists in the ecosystem of generational and lateral community trauma just is really well done. He's not a great guy. I hope he gets whatever help he needs, whatever that looks like--I am kind of optimistic for him but I also Really Think It'll Take A LONG Time and it's going to be really hard for him to make genuine connections for quite a while. I think at some point Charlotte and Henry will slowly figure things out. And grieve. A lot.

I'm in spanish 2 in high school and because I'm autistic and language learning became one of my special interests, I've been able to learn way faster than anyone else in my class, and while that's good for them because I can correct them, I have a hard time getting in practice at my level. Are there any ways to get in speaking/writing practice in a safe way as a minor?

It's tricky because I feel like as a minor the easiest way to do it is to either have penpals or start a blog and engage with people in Spanish. Online friends (hopefully your own age) can help as far as writing or even leaving voice notes if that's something you're interested in, but I would just be very careful about anything showing your face unless you know for sure that the other person can be trusted

There are forums dedicated to learning Spanish like on reddit or even in the WordReference forum there are forums for people learning Spanish as well as Spanish-speakers learning English (if I recall correctly)

I wasn't a minor when I started this blog, but I did start it because I wasn't able to have a lot of writing practice, so it came about as me trying to explain grammar and things I knew, or things I wish I had known, and then years later here I am

It's also not entirely the same but I would also recommend listening to Spanish where you can to practice your pronunciation and listening comprehension; I usually watch things on netflix or streaming services in Spanish or have the Spanish subtitles on, or there's youtube, and another resource I use is Forvo where I can hear native speakers pronounce certain words which has helped a lot

Kirara is penpals with Collei. He's since developed a small crush on her.

Talks to Charlotte all the time! They bring her new cameras as a gift and in exchange, Charlotte gives them

He's epileptic, so he always has Yoimiya warn him beforehand if she's gonna have a firework show.

I don't know much about Kirara yet so there's not much I can really say about him.

Best Friend: Shikanoin Heizou4She often goes to Watatsumi Island with Itto to visit their respective partners. If she can't find Kokomi, she'll head to her secret hideout. Oftentimes, Koko is asleep at her secret desk. Shinobu takes off her jacket and puts it over her shoulders as a blanket before either heading off to find Itto or just sitting down in the corner with one of Kokomi's books and waiting.

She always thought that Sara was beautiful, even way before they first started talking. She often referred to her as "the Pretty Tengu" when talking to Itto. She eventually began to talk to her (outside of getting Itto and the gang out of jail) and slowly became smitten.

She has a small shrine in her home that's dedicated to the Oni. She hopes that, by praying to his ancestors, Itto will be a little bit safer. she doesn't take the best care of it, since she hates the idea of being a shrine maiden even if it's her own shrine, but still.

Her right leg is a prosthetic. She was born without it. She also wears braces on her arms and often uses elbow crutches.

She always has a first aid kit on hand. Even though she heals with her vision, she uses the first aid kit for herself. She also uses it for minor injuries that don't warrant elemental healing.

She has selective mutism. Itto, Heizou, and Sara are all pretty good at understanding her body language and are usually able to communicate for her if needed. She also has communication cards.

idc if it's not canon. Shinobu has scars on the sides of her mouth like Iguro Obanai from Demon Slayer. She also has a split tongue and lots of piercings.

Honestly I didn't change much about Heizou. I love him as is.

Autistic. They hyperfixate on cases until they're solved.

He has OCD, too. If things aren't done in the right order, he starts to panic.

She keeps a personal copy of each case she's ever solved, just in case she needs to go back and recheck it.

They pack Sayu's lunch every morning before she leaves to do ninja things. It typically consists of two katsu sandwiches, two onigiri, sunsettia slices, and a juice box. They also add in some sakura shrimp crackers for a snack. The lunch is the exact same every day, since Sayu is a picky eater.

Naganohara Yoimiya

Her right leg was amputated after she blew it up in a firework accident. It is amputated mid-thigh and is now a prosthetic.

They are partially deaf in both ears. Working with explosives will do that to ya. They know sign language, and so do Ayaka, Thoma, and Itto.

Pep has type 1 diabetes and wears an insulin patch. Pep wears it on pep stomach, and has it decorated to look like a fish. It matches with some of the tattoos that pep has covering pep body.

She is autistic and has trouble regulating her volume. Being partially deaf doesn't help, and neither does the fact that she's constantly shouting over fireworks!

They have competitions with Itto to see who the kids of Hanamizaka like better! The kids know about this and milk it, getting both Yoimiya and Itto to be as awesome and fun as possible. Sara's had to intervene to stop Yoimiya from shooting off fireworks in the middle of the day in the city.

Okay so like. In a modern world, Yoimiya's definitely a decora girl. That's it. That's the headcanon.

Pep has a service dog named Kingyo! She's a boxer who helps with peps diabetes.

Kaedehara Kazuha
