October 31st, 1998
Your niece had a better haul than you ever did at this age, it seemed like every house on the fancy side of Hawkins was giving out full size candy bars. No one ever gave you full size candy bars. The Harrington's had outdone themselves this year, hoards of kids picking out wrapped caramel apples and passing out spiked cider to the parents. Humming and smiling while the adults hugged their parkas to their chests, kids running up and down the stairs of the cul de sac of Hawkins Mansions. Decorated to the nines -- you were happy that most of the street would tire her and all of her friends out. "Auntie!" she calls out, hurrying over to you while her pink and purple puffer coat swishes with her. Alycia glitters against the lights of the houses in the dark of the night, the red sequins on her leotard making her easy to find. Your sister-in-law made her a headband fitted with red horns with a pointed tail sewn into the back of the red tu-tu from her Spring recital to match. A Dancing Devil she called it -- for newly six, she was a pretty creative little bug.
"Auntie look," she yells, running into your legs. The spiked cider sloshes in your cup that you hold high over her head so it doesn't spill onto her. She holds up a decorated caramel apple covered in eyeballs made out of sugar.
"Gross, Leesh," you giggle, "It's got eyeballs all over it!"
"They're fake eyeballs, Auntie," she explains like you're stupid, "They're not real eyeballs."
"Oh, thank you for telling me. I didn't know," you giggle, catching Steve watching the two of you chat. Your cheeks burn, that crush from when you were fourteen and he spent the summer working at the mall never fully fading. He's married with four kids now so you should probably get over it. "How're things?" he asks from the curb, coming over to sneak Alycia a couple of Reese's cups. "They're good," you shake your head with a shrug, "They're fine. Out here with the rugrat while her mom's at work." "How's the family, your mom?" he presses, arms crossing over his broad chest that stretch the sleeves of his tan workwear jacket.
"She's doin' okay," you smile tightly, "Always a little hard for her this time of year."
"Five years now, isn't it?"
"To the day," you say with a lilt, "Gonna go visit him after I drop her with her grandparents. My dad'll be so thrilled to steal half her stash."
Your laugh is a little hollow when he squeezes your shoulder comfortingly, he slips a candy bar into your hand, too before saying his goodbyes -- set of twins running around his ankles.
Hawkin's bravest fireman somehow off duty on a night like this turns before you take your niece's hand to leave, "Be careful out there at night. You know it's not always safe."
"You don't believe in all those rumors, do you Harrington?" you laugh.
"Don't have to believe them or not," he says seriously, pushing his wire rims up his nose, "I know they're not rumors."
"Happy Halloween, Steve," you say dully, "Goodnight." You both wave, Alycia's little hand in yours while she rattles off a million words a minute about the skeloton outside of the Sinclair house. The moon glows down over the street, dark clouds slicing it like a broken plate.

You rarely visit your brother on the day of, especially since there's always idiot teenagers running around the place. Not exactly easy to mourn when some loser in a Scream mask keeps trying to scare you.
It was quiet, your Docs crunching on mid-fall frosty grass -- some of it already half dead with the season. Commotion from the town in the distance had dulled into mostly nothing now that the kids had turned in for the night. Families turning their porch lights out, settling in for scary movies and sugar highs.
You squeeze the bouquet of baby's breath and eucalyptus a little hard in your hands when you walk through the tombstones. The low lamps along the walk way casting the grass and asphalt in a looming orangey glow -- not offering much light beyond their posts. The moon does the work, still looking shattered amongst the thin gray clouds sliding through the sky.
You hear some giggling, the rustle of leaves, the snap of twigs. Always an outlier of kids doing spells or a Ouija board out here this time of year -- old Chief Hopper coming down to make them scatter and take their weed. You walk off the path when you get a decent way in, crossing away from where the cemetary mostly turns to forest. Four 'Happy Birthday To Yous' into the brush and then a left, two head stones, then a right -- it's the third headstone on the fourth row. No light to shine down on you this time, just whatever's left in the sky. You take your big yellow scarf off from around your neck to lay over the grave, giving yourself a place to sit so your spandex covered thighs didn't have to touch the grass. Your mom would kill you if you got grass stains on the red trench she let you borrow -- a makeshift Carmen Sandiego costume if anyone asked.
You sit, laying the bouquet right at the granite edge, tracing his name before letting your hand drop. You don't say anything for a while, letting the cool wet air run over you in waves. You wonder if the wind blowing is him saying hey.
A few cemetery patrons come by, pay their respects to their loved ones and leave. Some superstitious, some religious. They fade out after a while. The loneliness is comforting, just you and your brother hanging out together like before. Despite being six years apart, it felt like you both always had some weird wonder twin telepathy. He was never really one for a lot of words.
"Didn't that guy tell you not to come around here so late?"
You jump at the sound of an unfamiliar voice, turning around to see an even more unfamiliar person. Wild curly waves messy around his face, cut in 80s shag perfection. His face chiseled, jawline pronounced with soft stubble, soaked in fake blood. It trails down his neck and stains the white of the baseball tee underneath a leather jacket; fitted over top with a battle vest that rivaled the metal heads of the 70s.
"Who're you, huh? You following me?" you ask. You swallow nervously, finding solace in seeing a few other cemetary visitors mosying around. The faint giggle of more mischeif causing teenagers in the distance.
"Sorry," he laughs, a warm laugh that meets his eyes, "Didn't mean to scare you. I um, I saw you over by the cul de sac, overheard him say somethin' to you. I was with my little cousin -- dressed like a mermaid, I don't know if you remember."
You think back to Leesh's pal of trick-or-treaters, scanning them in your head to recall a little girl with big brown eyes and a makeshit Ariel costume on under her jean jacket -- covered in patches much like his.
"Yeah," you smile, "I remember. But that didn't answer my question -- are you following me?"
"Nah," he grins, shaking his head, "I'm visiting someone -- this was just a happy accident."
"Oh," you respond quietly, "Who're you visiting if you don't mind me asking."
"My mom," he shrugs, scrunching his nose, "Halloween was her favorite holiday so I always try to come say hi."
"Oh, I'm sorry," you offer in condolences, "Did you um -- did you grow up here? I feel like I'd remember you."
"Nope," he sighs, shoving his hands in the pockets of his jeans while his wallet chain jingles next to his thigh, "Grew up with my uncle."
"Oh, nice," you nod, "Well um --"
"Who're you visiting?" he interrupts, sitting on the gravestone next to your brother's; hardware tinkling prettily as he does.
"Pete," you say, hand out to gesture towards the shiny granite in front of you, "My brother."
"Nice to meet you, Pete," he turns his head, curly hair flouncing over his shoulder, "Pleasure."
You laugh, he laughs with you -- you have to laugh about it or else you'd have to deal with the alternative. You're pretty sure you're all cried out about your brother now.
"What happened, if you don't mind me asking?"
"He worked construction," you shrug, "Took an overnight shift five years ago by the quarry, an' it was Halloween so he was workin' by himself -- no one to spot his safety gear. Must've fallen off the rigs or something and since it rained a lot that year the quarry was basically a lake at that point, hit his head and drowned. His body was completely banged up and waterlogged, they could only ID him from his pass in his pocket."
"Shit," he nods, "That's -- that's fuckin' awful. I'm sorry."
You shrug, "Bitch of living, I guess."
"Hm," he nods, "I wouldn't know."
"What do you mean?" you ask with a cocked head, eyes lingering on him while his linger on you. "Don't worry about it," he smirks, the kind that makes your heart flutter; cheeks getting hot at the sound of his voice. "You know something," you start, "With this whole get up -- and you're not from here so you might not know -- you look just like --"
"Eddie Munson?" he asks, with raised brows, "Yeah, my aunt's been telling me that forever. That's why I sorta dressed up like him for Halloween."
"That's dangerous around Hawkins, especially this time of year," you warn him, standing up from your spot and picking up your scarf. You shake it out to get some of the grass of the underside. You hardly notice the way his eyes trail from your shoes over your calves to your thighs.
"Some people say that he went right to hell after that earthquake since he killed that girl," you explain, shrugging the trench off some to fit the scarf on under it, "And now he's a demon that haunts Hawkins and terrorizes the town."
You both laugh, though his drops to a low and guttural hum. Nearly a growl. You lift your head to see him just a foot in front of you now, and you can really look. You can really see him. The paleness in his skin, tendrilled navy veins raising through it as he leans close to you.
At this distance it's clear that the hollowness in his eyes isn't makeup, but the sparkling brown is sunken into his skull. His brows darkened and determined while he looks at you.
At this distance, it's clear that the blood on his jaw is real.
"They're close," he says with a sly smile, "Really should've listened to Harrington, sweetheart."
You swallow hard, icy sweat in a film on your body while he takes a step forward.
"Those rumors are true."
Tumblr media
The icy air shreds your throat as you run, heaving it in and out in gasps. Your calves scream, thighs aching while you sprint through the brush of the forest; trench and scarf long forgotton somehwere amongst the trees. You try to ignore the way twigs and branches swipe at your face, slicing you and scratching you with unforgiving whips. You let out a cry while you speed, leaping over roots and piles of leaves all while trying to listen with peak percision. Is he close? Is he getting closer? Can he see you?
You stop behind a log near a dip in the earth, rocks above it. Climbing in you heave, trying to catch your breath -- you aren't really made for this. You don't know how girls in the movies can run that long without needing a break.
With a deep inhale in, you hold, using the quiet to try and hear him but there is nothing to be heard. No rustling, no creaks in the wood or in the wind.
You catch your breath, slowly creeping out of your hiding space while the darkness hones -- trees blocking out some of the moonlight. You take a step and then another, trying to make as little noise as possible.
Your efforts are of no use though -- you stomach turns at the sound. The flap of wings, leathery wings -- big. A shaky breath in gives you the courage to turn your eyes up. On one of the taller branches above you he sits, pale and domineering, "Hi, sweetheart."
You bolt again, depserate and sobbing while the cold air is no longer a hello from your brother but mother nature's cruel bite on your wet cheeks. You can barely take in breaths without pain in your throat and chest, turning left and right and left again to lose him but from above he can predict your every move.
When you hear silence again you take another turn, a mausoleum broken down a short distance away. You crawl your way in, wet earth and cement hitting your nose while you gasp and heave for the second time. You listen for the wings for moment, a few moments -- a calm washing over your back when you're sure he's gone.
You take a step back further into the darkness to be sure you're unseen. Deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. One, twice, three times.
Another step back and you bump into a pillar making you jump, a screech wrenching from you.
Not a pillar no, not by the way a set of claw bites into your shoulder.
"Would've been a good hiding spot if it wasn't for me finding it first, right?" he quips, "Bummer." "Y-you can't d-do this," you cry, "The r-rumors are true they'll -- they'll look for me! Steve knows about you!"
"Oh, babe, that's so cute," he muses with a giggle, "Why do you think I'm still here, huh? Steve's just like me, he's bitten too."
"B-but--"
"Why do you think he believes in all those rumors, huh baby?" he asks with a lilt, "Cause he's one of 'em. Well -- not all the way, I guess. Not like me."
"He blows my cover he blows his whole operation," he grins, sharp teeth bearing themselves at you, "Why d'you think he only works night shifts?"
"I -- don't -- I don't," you sputter, "Pl-please d-don't bite me, d-don't eat me I -- I'll do whatever."
"You're too funny," he says in your ear, deep and grizzly while you're rooted to the spot under his clutch, "I already ate, sweet girl. But you'll make a fine dessert."
Tumblr media
You don't know how you get there but it's not like home -- it is but it isn't -- dark and deadly; covered in slithering vines. You're too petrified to ask; but whatever this place was, despite the spores in the air and the rubble from the walls -- it was much nicer than the trailer he grew up in.
"Shh, shh, shh," he coos, claws deep in your shoulder while he wrenches you to a bed covered in plush linens -- satin and full. In the blur around you it could almost be a movie set; the booms of red lightening, dripping pillar candles in heaps around the room.
You whimper at first when his claws release, hot blood oozing against your sweater. The pain pulses like a dull thud, spit flooding your mouth while you move to your side to wretch but he catches you by the root of your hair. You wail in fear, smelling the decay in his breath, the sweet subtle rot of your surroundings.
"It's not polite to cause a scene in a stranger's home, right princess?" he asks with a soft lilt. He holds your gaze, warmth spreading over you when he smirks again -- and despite your fear, you can't look away. You aren't even sure if you want to look away.
Your body goes slack on the comforter, melting into itself like a dropped marionnette. "Very good," he purrs. Hazy, you feel his hands on you -- losing their warmth while they sneak under the hem of your sweater. The pads of his fingers are soft in comparison to the tips of his nails, grazing your stomach and sternum before reaching up to cup your breasts. He lets out a shallow breath, squeezing the delicate flesh softly in his palms -- so gentle despite his rough demeanor.
His thumbs graze your nipples in slow circles earning him a mewl from your dry throat.
"So easy," he giggles in a whisper. You nearly pout when his hands slide down and away from you; beginning the unhurried removal of your clothing. He moves glacially, eyes remaining on yours, wraiths of whispers in a lanuage you don't understand fluttering in the air around you -- in one ear and out the other. Part of you wants to scream and thrash while he slides off your spandex, rips the seams of your panties, destroys your socks.
His clawed hands shred your sweater, snap your bra at the straps until all your clothes are left in a heap on the dusty floorboards by a forgotten desk. He crawls over you like a predator, undressed himself now: some how bigger, more hulking than before. His shoulders are broad, muscles flexing while skin so white it's nearly blue stretches over it. Whatever is down here has completely infected him, you can see it in the color of the veins beneath his skin, the slight red in his pupils, the dark blue hues under his eyes.
His wings lift high around him in an arched half circle, tips appearing behind him like a hybrid of horns and halo at once.
"Could smell you from here," he leers, "since last night. Christ, fucking drooling over you like a kid."
You whimper again, body jolting in pain when his nails pierce your thighs when he parts them. Fresh ichor spilling from the wounds in deep sanguine and he doesn't seem to care about the mess he's making while it drips onto the sheets. His cavalier manuevering comes off as though he likes to play with his food before he eats it.
"And I don't know what it is, angel, how my senses find the right ones," he rasps while he leans forward to your blood soaked shoulder; serpent tongue slipping out to lave over it, "But you really called to me this year; think you might be the one."
"The o-one wh-what?" you sniffle. His tongue slides over the lacerations on your shoulder again, sucking slightly from the new wounds. He lets out a groan, using free hand to rest on the side of your rib cage for support.
He deatches from the well he drinks from, tip of his nose running over your decollatage and up your neck. In inhales over your jugular, pressing a wet kiss under your jaw before getting to your ear.
"The one I mate with, sweetheart," he breathes, "The one I breed."
Breed? You heart sinks like a stone into your belly, body tensing in a freeze while you think of what to do. How to get out of here.
"Wait," you gasp, arms coming up to push at his chest and push him away, "No, please, wait -- you can't."
You push and push but he's a stone pillar, he barely moves, his muscles barely push inward at your assault. He tuts, the click of his tongue between his teeth almost a chitter. He noses your cheek before looming over you, tips of your noses brushing. He catches your gaze again, the whispers start while the air blows in through the broken window. Obedire domino tuo, obedire domino tuo, obedire domino tuo. His lips aren't moving but you can hear his low voice in your ears, barely there, swirling around in your subconcious while the wind whispers with it. Another flash of red lightning illuminates him in a streak, the rumble of thunder vibrating your belly and chest. His hand floats up from your rib cage while you settle, cupping your cheek to slide down to your jaw and over your neck. The touch is nearly comforting, dipping you back into a haze like before.
"You were saying?" he asks.
"Hm?" your brows pinch, his voice muffled and far away.
"That's what I thought," he says smugly, head dipping back down to your neck where his lips drag over your delicate skin. His breath leaves a patch of wet heat that lingers when he moves down over your chest, fangs peeking out behind his full lips when he drags them over the swell of your left breast.
A gentle gasp escapes you, eyes fluttering closed when the tip of his tongue teases your pert nipple, blowing cool air against it once soaked with his spit. He flicks against it again, alternating sides, presses kisses over them in clear ownership. The more he tasted of you, the more it belonged to him.
With each touch and tease of your tits the more you gasp and whine beneath him, he chuckles from his belly, moving down to your sternum.
"And I died a virgin, can you believe it?" he asks with a cocky lift to one of his brows, "Now all I gotta do is smile and girls like you 'll just fall into bed with me."
There's cotton in your ears, all you can do is nod slowly while blood still leaks from your shoulder and thighs. All you can feel is his mouth and hands travel further and further down. The wind howls and the low chant in the back of your head changes tune but in the same cadence; over and over again: vis, sentis, obedis. Vis, sentis, obedis. Vis, sentis, obedis.
He licks a stripe up the back of your thigh to catch a bead of blood before it reaches the mattress, savoring you. He feeds from the gouges he left behind for a moment before inching forward to the apex of your thighs. Eddie inhales your scent deeply, the earthly musk of you making his mouth water in a mix of metal and spit. His nose brushes against the untrimmed hair of your mound, ghosting himself over it drunk with attraction.
Your body heats up with mild embarrassment, flexing while your hips writhe slightly underhim. Almost as if he can hear your thoughts he kisses the crease of your thigh, "Nothing to be embarrassed about, baby. Girls don't let it grow like this anymore n' it's such a shame."
You want to speak up and explain it's just 'cause you haven't had the time but your tongue doesn't know how to move anymore. Too tired to speak, too caught up in how he feels, how he touches, how he takes what he wants. You relent again, body relaxing; pliant while he spreads you apart for him a desperate moan pulling from you when his tongue -- still soaked in your blood -- glides from the pool of slick at your opening all the way up to your clit.
You almost gag at the way your body betrays you, sending a spread of electricity over your nerves from your core to your finger tips. "More," you whisper, not even believing you're begging for him, "Please, more."
Eddie's smug in his response, smiling with his eyes while he looks up at you from between your legs, "And good manners? You spoil me, princess."
Your back arches in a soft curve when your hips push back into the mattress, pressing yourself into his waiting mouth. He groans again when your body drips for him, leaving a damp sheen on his cheeks and chin. It's not about your pleasure despite how much of it he's bringing you, but about your consumption. He's devouring you. Licking his plate clean from the outside in.
The moans he takes from you spur him on, getting you further and further away from the fight you put up before. Spilling over for him like a puddle while you writhe, a hand reaching out to rake through his hair. His own reaches up from aroud your thigh to hold you by the wrist tight to your side.
"Hands to yourself," he murmrs, soft lips wrapping around your swollen clit to suck expertly on the bud. You whimper, tugging at his hold but it only makes his grip more intense, pinning you there without much a fight. Not even enough to distract him from the task at hand.
When his tongue sinks back down into your soaking core you feel it, the heat pulsing through your belly while he lets the muscle dip and swirl in your wetness. Your thighs twitch and shake when his nose bumps your sensitive clit, his free hand coming up to gingerly rub circles over it in tandem.
"Oh my god," you whine, "Oh my god -- K-kas don' -- oh my god, ohmygod." He snickers, contining his movements, murmuring a quiet, "God's not here, baby."
Another roll over your hips sends you reeling, his tongue gliding in long strokes when finally the coil in your belly snaps. You fall apart beneath him, loud moans and high pitched squeals while he consumes you through it. Your body vibrates, thighs clamping down over his ears, blood from the slices in your flesh staining his hair and jaw.
He hums low when you settle, gasping for breath on your already dry and scratchy throat while you come down.
Eddie rises slowly, shoulder blades and wings moving with him while he crawls up your body. Smooth and languid like a snake, his torso hovers above yours while he settles his hips between your thighs. You look up at him, his shape, the way his eyes have blown black, the newfound sharpness in his features. A creature, a monster in your wake — not the same person you saw at the cemetery.
“Oh,” he coos when he sees your eyes glassy and rounded upon him, “So precious.”
You're much weaker now, mind and body, the stings across your skin from the broken branches and his sharpened nails a pain you've become better accquainted with. You take another breath of calm, arms resting by your head with your palms up towards the ceiling. He takes the moment of surrender to hold them down against the bed. The pressure of his hips against yours keeps you pinned, but you barely fight -- maybe squirm, maybe whine. No thrashing, no screaming, the whispers echo through the wind again:
Vis, sentis, obedis. Vis, sentis, obedis.
"So, so, precious," he whispers while he leans forward, kisses pressed to one cheek and then the other slow and controlled. He inhales again when he dips down to your neck, piercing fangs dragging over the vein there. You feel the push and then the pain, the unbearable blinding pain of his teeth ripping through you. Through your skin, through the muscle, the pulse of his mouth while he holds himself there.
You cry out, nearly a scream while he holds himself there -- just enough to infect you, just enough to get the poison in. The pain reaches a blinding peak, bile growing up your throat, eyes filling with a white hot surge of anguish and then -- Nothing. Euphoria. An unknown lightness you hadn't felt before.
He releases, still holding tight to your wrists above your head when he raises up over you again.
"Open," he instructs, and in your hazy gaze you obey. Your tongue flattens against your chin without command.
"Very good, sweetheart," he praises, collecting the blood left on his lips and in his cheeks to spit it directly into your waiting mouth.
"You can close now," he grins, "And swallow."
He grunts, hips sliding against you so that you can feel his length between your legs; the girth alone sends a chill to the part of you that is screaming inside your head. How is it supposed to fit? How is he supposed to get this inside you? "Don't worry," he laughs, "It'll fit."
When your vision snaps up at him he laughs again, "I can hear you in there, princess. I can always hear you."
He dips down again, tip of his nose sliding over your cheek to your ear, "So be very careful what you think about."
He doesn't need his hands to guide the head of himself into your already needy center. It's a stretch, delicious but nearing painful. It's not something you've ever even dreamed of taking before; thick, large, inhuman.
Your legs lift on their own accord while he pushes in further, getting half way while you let out a choked sob.
"Aw, shh, shh, shh," he mocks, easing in more, "C'mon you can take it."
"You can --" his hips snap in hard for the rest of him, letting out a ragged grunt when the rest of him disappears inside you, "--take it."
You mouth hangs open in a desperate oval, face crumpling when you become so full of him -- all encompassing. A part of you now, buried deep within. He moves, dangerously slow and controlled; methodic in how he thrusts himself deeper and deeper inside. "Mmm, that's it," he growls, chest to chest with him while his hip grind at a deliberate pace. You feel his hot breath fan out over your lips, forehead pressed against yours. He's not hot, he's not cold, just skin against yours while it flashes with heat. You go from shaking to sweating with minutes in between.
When your hips roll to meet his thrusts you moan, the tip hitting you so deep in your core that stars burst behind your eyes. "There we go," he grins mischeviously, "S'at feel good, pet?"
"Ooh, yes," you hiss through gritted teeth, actively trying to bounce yourself againsth him now that your body has started accommodating his sheer size. He raises himself up on his hands like a cobra, snake like peering down at you while he meets the roll of your hips with an unforgiving thrust.
"Good," he oozes the word out like smoke, deliciosly deep seated in his belly when he thrusts hard again. He mumbles a quiet musing to himself that you can't hear -- too gone in the lightness in your body, in the way nothing hurts, in the way you're so full.
Can finally fuck you how I wanna.
He gets up, sitting back on his haunches while still inside you, pushing your legs up so your knees end up by your ears. With this leverage he sinks in deep. You don't even know how far in he is, just that he's in and he's there, he's everywehre, he's outside and in.
Eddie locks eyes with you, that same smirk from the cemetary that made your stomach flip dancing across his devilish features, "Tell me you like it."
Your mouth moves before your brain can hesitate, "I like it." "Tell me you need it," he demands, tone measured and sure.
"I need it," you say back, your voice coming out broken and weak, "Please, I need it."
He pulls back and punches forward, hard enough that you gasp at the impact. He grips you hard by the backs of your legs, thrusts starting slow and building at an unrelenting pace. His eyes are wild; boring down at you through from under furrowed and determined brows. If you had any mind left, you'd think that he hates you by the way he stares.
"Fuck," he snarls, leaning forward over you, one hand pressing down on the mattress next to your head, "Shit -- fuck, that's it. That's fuckin' -- shit, you're fuckin' mine." "Say you need me."
"I need you," you choke back without thinking, barely able to breathe at his speed. The coil tightens deep inside of you again, tears pouring down your cheeks in waves -- not even crying, just recieving. Absorbing him. Your body rocks like a boat on unsteady waves pinned beneath him, the only sounds are the whispers in your subconcious, his growls and sputters like an animal above you. The lewd slaps of skin against skin, the squelches of him pushing you to your limits.
He steadies himself over you, nose to nose again while he fucks you. Really fucks you. Impressed with himself, he lets out a breathy chuckle when you throw your head back -- eyes shutting tight with a pornographic scream.
"Oh GOD!" you cry out, "Oh my god."
His fingers and claws catch your chin with a firm shake, eyes snapping open to meet the knowing glare of his ruddy brown ones.
"Your god," he starts, panting into your mouth, "is right here in front of you."
You swallow, mouth falling agape again when you feel the bite of his nails on the fat of your cheeks. "Right here," you repeat, dazed and overwhelmed, "N'..n'fronname."
"Right here in front of you," he nods, leaning down to brush his nose against yours while his thrusts slow to a steady pace. It's then that his lips meet yours, the kiss searing with desire and claim when his tongue slides into your mouth. You can taste the metallic twang of your blood in his mouth, sighing into it while he guides the kiss. Breaking away and coming back in; rushed and heated each time while he feels himself get closer to his peak.
His forehead presses against yours, one hand finally releasing your wrist to hold your head in place over your hair. You keep eye contact with him, not even sure if you're blinking, if you even need to blink. You rasp breaths, mouth and throat dry and aching while you breathe into him. You're close, teetering on the edge while he pushes you up with his hips to rest your lower body on his knees and thighs.
"Come undone," he murmurs, "Let go for me."
The command ripples through you, bursting through your belly with a warm heat. You welcome it, eyes rolling, cries pouring from you in words you don't think you understand. He encourages you, offering you rough sweet nothings while you pray to him, beg for him, ache for him.
That's enough to send him over; seeing you completely at his mercy now. Obedient, trained, devoured.
He snares and snarls, growling while he comes deep inside of you. The hand on your head wraps painfully in your hair like it did before you started -- uncaring, brutal. The heat of his seed pools deep within you like the heart of your orgasm. Glazed over you groan, hips rolling up in one final cant to receive him fully. Your vision vingettes while he unsheathes from you; fluids leaking onto the sheets. You're empty and the room spins with a new blackness, you're fading. Fainting? Dying?
The fuzziness continues to darken arouns you, around him, until he's all that's left in the tunnel of your vision. "That's a good girl," he soothes smugly, "Very well done."
Your gaze and mind fade fully to a staticky black.
Tumblr media
You wake, you’re not sure how much later.
Still on the bed and still undressed but your arms feel tight – a tug reveals your current state. Bound to a post on the headboard by a triple handcuff knot, dense hemp rope keeping your arms above your head.
You whine and struggle, coming to your senses now – no one knows where you are, you barely know where you are. An underworld – hell. Somewhere.
“Don’t look so terrified, sweetheart,” his smooth honey voice is heard before he appears in the candle light again, “I’m right here.”
“Wh-why am I –” you swallow thickly, coughing and sputtering with how dry your mouth and throat are now, “Why am I tied up?”
He looks at you with faux concern, brows raising, “Oh honey, are you okay?”
He reaches out, pushing your hair away from your face, “Don’t be stressed. Y’know something – I just realized, I never offered you anything to drink.”
“My uncle always told me you should take a girl out to dinner before makin’ the van rock and look at me,” he gestures at his chest, tutting at himself, “Where are my manners, huh?”
Your lip wobbles while he looms over you, “Are you thirsty?”
You nod, he grins – cheshire like, fangs glinting in the light, “I thought you would be.” He gets up, lazy and confident in his walk across the room. His body looks like marble, chiseled with the running and hunting you realize he’s been doing for over a decade. Stronger than ever; ethereal in his post orgasm glow.
He pulls his hair back while he walks, holding it up away from his neck while your eyes travel down his back where his wings have tucked in under the skin. You gag when you see them move above his blades, rippling beneath the tattoos he has there. He’s dressed in only shorts; silk – likely stolen to really own the whole vampire thing he has going on.
You take in a shaky breath when he gets what he needs, dropping his hair back to his shoulders when he makes his way back to you.
He holds the dagger coolly in his hand before gliding the tip down the center of his wrist. Blood blooms from the wound; he doesn’t even flinch.
“Open, princess,” he murmurs. Your lips clamp shut, shaking your head no while fear takes over – rot in your chest. He catches your chin again, forcing you to look at him like before.
“Open,” he repeats, slower. His voice reverberates like a gong between your ears.
Your mouth opens on its own accord and the smell of his blood becomes the most alluring scent you’ve had pass your nose in years. You latch on to the laceration, swallowing and sucking deeply on the wound while his blood and body quench and feed you better than any meal you think you’ve ever had. You feel revived as you devour him, eyes fluttering closed while the fill feels never enough.
“That’s it, keep goin’,” he encourages under his breath, “Won’t have to keep asking you to do things twice once this is all over with.”
You break away to breathe, gasping like you’re coming up for air, drowning in him.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean you’ll be just like me, sweetheart,” he says, chuckling when you eagerly lean forward to drink him again, “After a night of some deeply insurmountable pain; and then nothing. Just mine. Undead and mine.”
“But y–you said you were – I’m –” your brows knit in confusion, “You didn’t h-have to d-do this; whatever you um – whatever you bred me with will die if you do this.”
“Oh, no, no,” he laughs evilly, “I didn’t breed you quite yet.”
He pulls his arm away, wiping the blood from your chin with his thumb roughly.
“Consider what we did a, uh…hmm,” he takes a second to think about it with a hum, shrugging cheekily, “A soul bonding experience.”
“You’re disgusting,” you spit.
“I’m delicious,” he corrects, smearing his blood from your chin to your cheek, “If you do say so yourself.”
He gets up again, pulling the covers out from under you to tuck you in. The chill getting to you in a way it never gets to him; you might as well be warm while you turn into actualized death.
“I can hear you, remember?” he asks, tapping your head, “You won’t be totally alone with me. There’s…shit there are plenty just like us.”
“Like Steve,” you pipe up groggily.
“More than just goodie two-shoes Harrington,” he groans, “God, do you ever shut up about him?”
You sniffle in response.
“I mean this place, this – dimension,” he says, “It’s more than just Hawkins, and there are so many more like us; even up there.”
He points upwards with a sharp nailed finger, “All around.”
“And now that you’ll be just like me,” he smiles, sitting on the edge of the bed next to you in the crook of you waist, “There’ll be all the time in the world to breed you.”
Your vision blurs, either from tears or from another fade, you aren’t sure. You can feel a slow burn through your veins, a rush of blood. You whimper.
“So it begins,” he smirks, running the tip of his finger over your nose bridge.
“Oh!” he says, eyes bulging, “Before I forget, and before I lose you – because you’ll be such a pretty blank slate when you come to – I felt like I should be honest.”
He gestures dramatically, a maniacal grin pushing his cheeks up to his eyes while they spark, “Again with my manners, it was so rude of me to introduce myself to Pete’s grave at the cemetery. We’ve met before! Can’t believe I had almost forgotten.”
Ice in your body fights the burning in your veins, you gag, bile coming up to singe your throat.
“And y’know, I didn’t mean to drop him in the quarry when I was done with him,” he says with a scrunch of his nose, like he accidentally wrote the wrong tip on a restaurant check, “Really, my mistake, but Christ did he hit every piece of limestone on the way down.”
He lets out a hearty laugh while he remembers it, your brother's body bouncing off rocks and metal before slipping under the water. You swallow your sick only or it to rise back up with a vengeance, staining your skin red while it seeps out of the corner of your mouth. You tug on the ropes in retaliation, hot angry tears stinging your eyes.
“All that fallin’ did a number on him – which is good because it really took the heat of anyone knowing it was me. I just wasn't as clean about it back then. Much better now though,” he nods, finishing with a superior and charming look like he just told a bedtime story.
He leans forward close to your face while your vision pulses in fuzzy black, browning out while he looks down at you.
“And I’ll tell you something, babe…”
Fading, fading, fading.
“He tasted divine.”

I want everything we missed between S3 and S4. I want all of it.
I want the kids starting high school and being totally overwhelmed by normal shit when they’ve only just gotten used to weird alternate dimension shit.
I want Robin starting senior year and all of her friends from band and soccer and drama club and everything else being like “who the fuck is this person and what did they do with Robin????” because she comes back from summer break and is just not right.
I want Steve baffling Keith because he’s definitely flirting with every girl over the age of eighteen who walks into the store, but he’s not being a douchebag? He’s not being mean to Keith, like at all? He’s not being all buddy buddy with him obviously, because that would be fucking weird, but he’s just sort of being normal? Like a normal flirty good-looking former jock who knows how to talk to people? (And Keith definitely thinks he’s been flirting with every hot adult person who comes into the store, but it’s Steve fucking Harrington so that can’t be right????)
I want Nancy running that newspaper like it’s the goddamn New York Times and nobody even thinks to question her about anything because who the hell is gonna question Nancy Wheeler? She’s scary.
I want Eddie seeing these three freshies walk into the cafeteria with what he thinks is fear, but after corralling them and inviting them to Hellfire and making them eat lunch with him and the other members every day, realizes it’s not actually fear, it’s just sensory overload. They’re not actually afraid of the popular kids or the jocks or the teachers or the bullies, they’re just baffled. Almost like they didn’t realize it should be an issue at all?
And they start coming to Hellfire meetings and these kids are fantastic. Their characters are perfect additions to the group and the campaign he started at the beginning of the year is gonna be fucking aces because their group is so well rounded now.
And sometimes Lucas bring his girlfriend Max Mayfield to the sessions, which isn’t so bad because she mostly just sits in the corner doing her homework or listening to music. But sometimes she does listen in, and scoffs at certain plot points in the story, or laughs at parts that definitely aren’t supposed to be funny.
And Robin Buckley shows up a couple times as well, mostly doing the same as Max, but one time she watched them play and it was nerve-wracking as hell having someone essentially stalking around them, giving whispered comments to the three freshmen that either resulted it grim nods or obnoxious laughter. Which, what the fuck, how does she know these kids???? (Kids who Eddie definitely thinks are half feral, but absolutely loves them anyway.)
But then one day late in October, the session runs late, and it’s just the Hellfire boys this time, and it’s a FANTASTIC boss fight (not the final one, but still a big damn deal), and everyone is tired but riding high on an epic win, and they all file out of the school into the cold parking lot. And just a couple spaces away from Eddie’s van is Steve fucking Harrington’s stupid maroon beemer.
And Harrington is sitting on the trunk of it, leaning against the back windshield, casual as anything, with Robin fucking Buckley sitting right next to him.
Leaning against him. Practically sitting in his goddamn lap.
She’s got a book propped open on her knees, combat boots up on the trunk, and she’s resting her head on his chest.
Harrington’s laying all the way back, stupid douchey sunglasses on, either staring at the sky or just full on sleeping.
They’ve both got matching green vests on.
A shout from one of the kids has them perking up to look in their direction. Robin rolls her eyes and marks her place in the book before hopping down from the car. Harrington stays where he is but sits up with a grin on his face.
Before Eddie can say anything, Dustin, Lucas, and Mike race over to them and start talking over each other about the campaign. About how fucking cool the session was, about the monster they defeated, about the tactics they had to use to survive the whole things.
Eddie doesn’t know what he expects to happen, didn’t even consider the possibility of these nerdy freshman knowing Steve “The Hair” Harrington, but they obviously do.
Harrington just nods along, asking them a question that Eddie can’t hear that spawns another slew of comments from the kids. The three of them pile into the backseat of the beemer while Buckley takes the front and Harrington slides into the driver’s seat. As the car starts up, the radio blares something loud and poppy and definitely something from the top 40.
This doesn’t seem to deter the kids, who Eddie can see leaning forward from the back, still regaling Harrington and Buckley with their successful session. The red beemer pulls out of the lot, and continues down the street out of sight.
Eddie is still standing by the back entrance of the school, Gareth, Jeff, and Alan behind him. All of them frozen, completely dumbfounded by what the last five minutes.
“What the actual fuck?”

♱ 𝖐𝖎𝖓𝖐𝖙𝖔𝖇𝖊𝖗 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑: priest's daughter!Wanda Maximoff
I missed writing her and since it's been a year since @furys-eyepatch dropped this wonderful idea in my ask box, it felt right to start October off with one of my favorite squishies!
confessions of wanda maximoff AU. kinktober masterlist. 18+ only, minors dni. you don't need to add community labels, I've put adequate warnings below. wc: 3.9k. cw: innocent!Wanda/constantly horny!r. sex in a church. fingering. fucking from behind. strap-on use. begging. semi-public sex (no one is around). everything you shouldn't be doing in a place of worship. r thinks saying vulgar things to wanda and seeing her blush is peak entertainment.
“This is kinda the last place I want to be on Halloween, Wands..”
Wanda looked over her shoulder for the sole purpose of giving you an eye roll before continuing to tug you along through the back of the church. “I’m only picking up something for my dad, it’ll just take a second. I did say you could wait outside!”
“And hang around out there by myself? No way, it’s almost dark and there’s a cemetery!” You’d been sidetracked on the way to Natasha’s party, a texted errand from Wanda’s dad bringing you to his office in search of the large bags of candy he forgot to bring home with him. You didn’t mind honestly, the older man was always so kind it was hard to resist any of his requests— much like his daughter, the girl currently standing in front of you grinning.
She cooed at you in the confines of her father’s office, rubbing your cheeks while you swat at her hands. “Aww, are you afraid of ghosts? How cute..”
“Stop it, Wanda!” You scoffed, brushing her off and crossing your arms. So what if you were a little superstitious, who wasn’t? And you certainly didn’t need to let Wanda know; she’d hold it over you like she’d won the lottery. “Just hurry up so we can get out of here…”
Wanda kissed you quickly, soft and placating; an apology for teasing. She always saw you as someone fearless, it was nice to see a concept as harmless as ghosts rattle you. “Don’t worry, I won’t let anything get us. If it makes you feel better, I’ve never seen anything creepy and Pietro and I used to spend tons of time here when we were kids.”
Trailing off as she went about searching, you leant back against the wall with a pout, opting to watch Wanda while you waited. She had yet to change into her costume, insisting it be strictly for the party, but part of you theorized it was just to keep her outfit from her dad. Instead, her bunny costume lay folded up in the backseat of your car and her dress remained on, teasing you a little more each time she bent over.
With the cooler weather, Wanda added tights to her wardrobe rotation, sheer black nylon hugging every curve from her ankles to her hips. You didn’t know what it was, but something about them left you drooling whenever you thought about the extra layer on your girlfriend for too long. In the past few weeks, you found yourself running your hands over her legs whenever she was close enough, often ending up playfully chided when you eventually grew too grabby during your shared lectures. But now, alone together with Wanda bent so far over the large wooden desk that you could catch just the barest hint of her underwear, you found it terribly hard to control your urge to grab her.
Hesitation gave Wanda enough time to shoot upright, victorious with heavy plastic bags in her tight grasp, “Candy acquired!”
She made her way back over to you by the door, pressing her lips to the corner of your mouth as she passed, “Now let's get out of here before some big bad ghostie bothers you.”
“I don’t think any ghosts want to be anywhere near us right now…” Try as you might, you couldn’t help yourself, eyes glued to Wanda’s backside as she led you back through the dark corridors behind the sanctuary. These weren’t proper thoughts right now, especially here, but it was Halloween… what better day to do something a little sacreligious.
“And why is that-” The end of her sentence was punctuated with a surprised oof, the shock of being shoved sideways into the wall cutting her short. Strong hands gripped her hips, balling the bottom half of her dress in your fists as you buried your nose into her long, dark hair. Instinct begged her to let the moan caught in her throat loose, but someone had to be level-headed here… or at least try to be. “What do you think you’re doing?”
“I could ask you the same question, wearing this dress with no shorts and showing off.” You palmed her ass while she wiggled, sandwiched helplessly between you and the carved wood. Maybe you’d hoped that a simple bit of groping would satisfy whatever just took over, but it’d been wishful thinking; the more you touched, the more you wanted. “Did you know every time you bend over I can see your underwear? It’s not very nice to tease like that.”
“I-I didn’t know…” Wanda’s head was spinning, your sudden turn of mood rendering her flustered. Having never thought of herself in much of a sexual way, today’s lack of shorts was more of convenience rather than to tease. No matter how far she got from being a virgin, the intricacies of attraction and desire remained partially lost to her, always forgetting not only were you insatiable at times, but you wanted her. “I didn’t mean to, I’m sorry!”
“No need to apologize, Wands, I’m not mad.” The last thing you wanted was to embed shame to how your girlfriend decided to dress; if anything, the uncharacteristic choice made the surprise more enticing.
She shivered as you nibbled the shell of her ear, trembling more every second your hands continued roaming, exploring, groping her so shamelessly. “But you can make it up to me by letting me touch you.”
“We’re in a church…” Even so, it was just the two of you in the building, a fact confirmed by one quick glance out into the main room through one of the wall’s cutouts. All alone in the quiet, sacred space. Wanda knew she should protest harder, the mere idea should’ve been off putting, but it wasn’t. Nor was it the first time this scenario crossed her mind.
You’d be lying if you said the setting didn’t turn you on that much more and if Wanda’s shudder as you palmed over her covered sex was any indication, she wasn’t completely put off. Curious fingers poked and prodded, pressing against her in earnest until Wanda was gasping. “Why not? No one would know and it’d be fun.”
You could practically hear the cogs in Wanda’s brain turning, working overdrive to come up with some answer where she could do the ‘right’ thing and keep those all too good sensations flowing from between her legs. “Maybe in the car?”
She’d expected the proposition to sound more convincing than it was, your contemplative hum against the nape of her neck showing Wanda she probably hadn’t swayed you either. Enticing as the car might’ve been in the past, it wasn’t what she yearned for right now. If you led her out, she’d follow and most definitely enjoy herself, but she’d think about this and what it could’ve been until this very rare opportunity presented itself again, if ever.
“Oh, but I want you right here, sweetheart. What if someone drives by and sees you outside? You know I like to keep you all to myself.” Wanda didn’t stop the hand sliding past the top of her stockings, fingers stretching the thin fabric in search of her panties— the second your fingertips grazed the embroidered cotton you groaned.
Occasionally you caught her wearing the days of the week underwear she’d splurged on from some online boutique shop, something she bought with the mindset that no one would ever see them, but oh how wrong she was. Initially embarrassed for you to catch her wearing them, she was so relieved when you’d written it off as just another precious thing to love about her.
“How are you always so pretty, babygirl? Makes it so hard to keep my hands off you,” Two inches further down, you discovered the beginnings of a wet spot, Wanda’s body giving her away despite her meekly suggested location change. “Especially when you get wet so easily. It’s my job to take care of that, being a good girlfriend and all.”
“I can’t help it,” she breathed out, trying to keep her breathing even for as long as possible. It was true, Wanda often found her thighs pressed together after a few touches or too long of a kiss; a fact she only recently discovered upon dating you.
“I know, poor thing, let me fix it.” With your free hand holding the front of her dress, fingers splayed over her stomach, you held your girlfriend still as you moved the last barrier aside, sliding through her already slick folds as shamelessly as you would if you were in the privacy of your apartment back at home, laser focused on watching the girl in your arms go limp.
The physical embodiment of a devil on her shoulder as you nudged her sweater out of the way, Wanda couldn’t possibly deny either of you further; the longer you waited, the higher the chance that someone else would wander in. Her cheeks burned red hot, unable to tell how much was from being manhandled mere feet behind the altar or the humiliation of how badly she wanted you to continue. “Please…”
“Please what, Wanda? Take you to the car?” Circling her clit almost did her in, knees buckling, hall echoing with the sound of the bags falling from Wanda’s hand to the floor. You let up and she whined pitifully, hips bucking in search for more of the fleeting pleasure. But if you were doing this, you needed your favorite part: her confirmation. “Use your words and I’ll give you whatever you want, baby.”
“Take me, right here…” She was nearly dizzy with need as she spoke, but the struggle was so worth it once your fingers began working her purposely now, promptly rewarding her acceptance. It was all too easy to forget any lingering worries and focus on her rapidly building orgasm, head and hands falling forward to brace herself as you slid two fingers into her. “Oh god, yes-”
You tutted mockingly, grinning into the crook of her sweet-smelling neck. “Now you know that’s not proper language for where we are. Mind your manners.”
It was terribly hypocritical considering how lewdly you were stretching her open on your digits, letting her drip down your palm. You could pretty much count on her making a mess, but no matter how familiar of a sensation, it was all you could do not to fall to your knees and see for yourself; Wanda was the only person you’d ever felt so inclined to worship. “You feel so good on my fingers, sweet thing. I wish you could feel how tight you’re squeezing them.”
The poor thing did her best to keep up, but you were so fast, so determined to watch her walls come down in the place she should be doing the exact opposite… The most she could do was moan out her pleasure, heavenly music to your ears. “Can I cum? I’m so close-!”
“Go on, I want to feel you.” Wanda finished with a cry, muffled into her arm, still too afraid to be loud no matter how alone you might be. She shivered and shook, thighs trapping your hand in place as she rode out her orgasm. Even from behind Wanda was a sight, long hair falling over her shoulders as she tossed, hands clamoring for purchase anywhere on the wall she’d never look at the same way again.
Satisfied with your work, thought she’d be done and more than ready to get out of here, but to your surprise, her hand grabbed your wrist before you could pull out. “What’s wrong, Wanda?”
“Nothing, it’s just..” Wanda couldn’t believe what she was about to say, but it’d be a terrible missed opportunity if she didn’t ask. Rubbing her backside against your front confirmed what she’d felt for a few seconds before, the telltale bulge in your pants providing Wanda the perfect setup to make one of her deepest fantasies a reality. She’d gone this far; what was a little more for the whole way. That’s what she kept repeating to validate this next want. “Do you think we could maybe, um..”
“Maybe what?” Her actions only gave you an inkling into what Wanda was hinting at, but surely she couldn’t be thinking what you thought she was.
When it came to risky scenarios, you were constantly on the propositioning end, finding creative ways to present your new ideas for Wanda’s approval. What you’d just gotten away with was a giant push of luck, never in your wildest dreams did you ever imagine she’d ask for it. “The rules are you use your words. You have to say it.”
Of course you wouldn’t let her off easy, not when both of you were on the precipice of doing something so scandalous. She appreciated how dedicated you were to her enthusiastic consent, but if she thought about what she was asking too hard, she feared she might fizzle into nothingness. “I was thinking if you were up for it, we might go again?”
“Yeah? With my fingers?” You goaded her with a slow curl of your long digits, guiding her back until you could easily grind your clothed strap on against her, the sharpest squeak bubbling from Wanda’s chest. As you moved this time, you were slow, too slow, knowing as nice as it was, it wasn’t what she needed. Not when she remembered how mouthwateringly full she was a few days ago when you’d last had her in your lap.
“N-No,” Wanda shook her head, mousy and bashful. Her one advantage was facing away from you, fully aware she’d never have the courage to speak up that way unless you forced it out of her. “I meant with your strap…”
The words felt heavy on her tongue, as if someone else said them; anyone but the person she knew herself to be. But you heard them in her sweet, sheepish voice and something feral inside you snapped. You tore away from her unceremoniously, only for a second, just long enough to bend her a little farther, slapping Wanda’s ass once.
“Fuck, I wish I could keep you here all night, just to see what else I can get a naughty girl like you to tell me what they’ve been dreaming up.” Ignoring her shout, you ripped a hole in her stockings, tearing wide enough that you could play with her from behind, shallowly dipping your fingertips into the hole you’d so cruelly left empty.
“You’re all I want,” Neck straining over her shoulder to catch glimpses of you undoing your pants, Wanda’s eyes grew wide at the sight of the thick dildo set on your hips, only fluttering closed as you nestled the toy between her thighs, sliding it back and forth in an effort to wet it for Wanda’s comfort. Eager as you were, this one was bigger than she’d taken before and you’d never forgive yourself if you caused her any pain. “Hurry up before someone comes in..”
“Look at you, so impatient,” The tip teased Wanda awfully, drawing low moaned out pleas that were much too pretty to deprive yourself of so quickly. It wasn’t long until her wetness coated your strap, slick and ready for her as soon as you were ready to deliver. “Does my sweet girl want me to fill her up with my cock? Would that make you happy?”
“Mhm..so happy..” Something about being fucked left Wanda’s brain so.. empty, always coaxing her into a blissful relaxation. She supposed it had something to do with not only touch, but your words, sneakily dumbing her down until her only thoughts rested on you and when you’d give her what she waited for.
Being taken in church was an idea she only allowed to appear in her deepest dreams, shaming herself afterwards for even daring to create such a thought. If anyone was going to give it to her now, it had to be you and to her credit, you’d started this. But logistics were way too much for Wanda to think about presently and, in a mission to make this impromptu sex as good for her as it already was for you, clearing her of any fears was your highest priority. “All I want to do is make you happy, Wanda.”
She knew that was true from the very first time you’d told her, those words only ever given with the most sincere honesty. Combined with the gentle patterns you drew over the sensitive skin of her lower tummy, Wanda let herself be lulled, trusting you to take care of her in the vulnerable state she so loved to fall into.
“Spread your legs for me a little, just like that…” Everyone would be wondering where you were soon, Wanda’s father waiting on his Halloween candy delivery and Natasha for the drinks she asked you to get, but for this, for her? You’d say screw it all without hesitation to take your time and make this happen however she pictured. “Now beg. Confess to me, little church mouse.”
As you pushed the tip in and stopped, Wanda erupted into a fit of pitiful noises, fighting against your hold to feel that ever lusted after stretch, but you were stronger than her and wouldn’t budge. Being made to beg was equal parts hot and degrading; unfortunately you’d come to love to hear it, discovered it turned her on to do it, and now demanded it whenever the chance presented itself. “I need your cock, need you to fuck me.. please please!”
“There’s my good girl,” With one long push, you filled her completely, overwhelming the needy girl in all the best ways. You gave her just enough time to adjust, rutting into her tight pussy hard and fast as soon as possible. If she was wet before, Wanda was absolutely drenched now, making it all too easy to fuck into her as deep as you dared. “You look so pretty all fucked out, Wanda, begging to be fucked just outside of your dad’s office.. in a church, no less..”
“I.. I didn’t…” She truly hadn’t meant for any of this to happen, but she certainly hadn’t objected too heavily either, especially not to this. Each time your hips met Wanda thought she was done for, that coil in the pit of her stomach tighter than she could ever remember it being. Her entire body felt like a livewire, every touch you provided almost stinging. As soon as you found her neglected clit, Wanda was panting, chest heaving in the small, restricted space between her and the wall.
She devolved into an incoherent mess, pathetic and helpless noises echoing throughout the otherwise silent halls. In a selfish act, you covered Wanda’s mouth, cementing the impossible to ignore wet sounds coming from your girlfriend to memory. “Do you hear how wet you are for me, baby? I would’ve fucked you earlier if I knew you needed me this much.”
Your teasing was too much for Wanda to bear; your crude words, being forced to listen to how aroused she was. Part of her still chalked this up to some insanely vivid dream. The moment your fingertips slid past her lips Wanda was sucking on them, albeit sloppy and lazily, reflecting how little focus she had as your strap hit her at the perfect angle. She was losing it fast, muscles threatening to give out the closer her second orgasm came. “P-Please, can I-”
“Of course you can. Poor thing, you just need to cum so badly,” Wanda’s pulse raced under your lips, but you kissed her there so sweetly it nearly felt like a joke. Below, your hips moved at a torturous pace, quick and brutal in time with the circles you rubbed into her almost too sensitive bud. If you could just see her come apart one more time- “Cum for me, I’ve got you.”
Wanda’s jaw fell open, spit covered fingers giving her slight reprieve while she bucked and twisted wildly, only managing to stay upright with the help of your strong arms. Fucking her through it all quickly became more for your pleasure, bottoming out to let you grind your own clit against the back of the toy at the join of your hips, clinging to Wanda’s trembling form as you came with a groan into the back of her hair. “I would’ve helped…”
“Trust me, you did more than enough,” you mumbled, nibbling the shell of her ear as you caught your breath. You’d never given much thought to the joys of a joint orgasm until Wanda, finding something special in sharing your highs. Always one to prove how useful she could be, Wanda loved being allowed to touch you, to see how good she could make you feel before you reached your end, but this time she was in no state to do so nor did you need it; watching her was more than you would’ve ever asked for. “You did such a good job, I’m so proud of you.”
Wanda wanted to say something back, couldn’t remember if she’d actually spoken out loud or not, but also couldn’t focus hard enough to think that deeply at the moment. She felt like she spent an eternity there, swimming in some cloud high above the church while your touches turned gentle, stroking over her hips and stomach until Wanda finally started to settle down.
Thankfully the church remained empty so you let her take her time, holding Wanda steady while you pulled out. Careful as you were, she still whimpered, body worn out and tired, “Shh, you’re okay, pretty girl.”
Turning around let Wanda slump against your front as you leaned into the wall, green eyes hazy and heavy. She drew you into an almost sleepy set of kisses, thanking you with sticky, lip gloss smudge marks along your jaw… until she remembered exactly where she was. “Oh my god, I can’t believe we just did that.. We have to get out of here now!”
Fumbling terribly, your girlfriend snatched the fallen candy bags from the floor in one hand and your arm in the other, dragging you as fast as her strength would let her. “Be careful, Wanda, or you’ll trip!”
“I’m fine, just open the car!” She didn’t know if she should be mortified or terrified, praying to every power in the universe no one ever found out about this. Wanda’d never sped out of church in such a flurry, as if the quicker she moved, the longer she could escape the anxiety gaining on her.
Unfortunately for her, you had no such issues and her inner turmoil only made you laugh. “Don’t forget you liked it. I’m pretty sure you were the one begging loudest-”
“You made me!” To you, Wanda would deny her enjoyment for a while and she’d never think of doing it again, but as silence settled in the car and you turned your attention to the road, she struggled to keep still and not squirm too obviously as she replayed your Halloween havoc.

This year, I'm finally participating in Kinktober but instead of doing 31 stories for the month of October, I'm going to cut it down to just Stray Kids. Spooky Month is going to be very busy for me and so to avoid missing any days, I think this is a much more time manageable option for me. So not only is it Kinktober but it's also a Creature Feature. Thats right, it's monsterfucking season, bitches. Each story will feature monster!SKZ, 4 kinks, and a dialogue prompt.

Hey
You’re eyes scanned the bar as you, along with your group of friends, walked into the place. The loud music filling your ears, making you grimace slightly. This was your first time going out since your break up with Trevor at the end of his first full NHL season, back in April. He had made the decisions to end your relationship only hours before going on his last road trip of the season, and when he came back home a couple of days later, all your things were gone.
You hadn’t tried to reach out to him when he left, instead choosing of just leaving and moving back into your parent’s house for the summer. Your friends were with you everyday, not wanting the end of your year long relationship to destroy like your previous breakup did. They understood that you were in the mood to go out every night, or any night at all, so movie nights, walks on the beach, ice cream runs were a daily thing.
Eventually, in early July, you started moving on from him, he hadn’t bothered to reach out to you either, so you had no choice but to do so. Slowly but surely, you started spending more time outside of your house, something your parents were grateful for. Then, you found yourself your own apartment, still close to home, but not too close to where Trevor lived so you wouldn't have to run into him in the store or on the streets.
Now here you were, October only a couple of days away, standing at a bar with a bright smile on your face as your friends talked about all the drama they heard from your high school days, which couple were still together, which ones weren’t, some of them were now married with kids, something that shocked you a bit since you were only 21, but if that’s what they wanted, good on them, you thought.
Haven’t heard from you in a couple of months
But I’m out right now and I’m all fucked up
And you’re callin’ my phone and you’re all alone
And I’m sensing some undertone
And I’m right here with all my friends
But you’re sending me your new address
And I know we’re done, I know we’re through
But, God, when I look at you
As the morning hours approached, it was safe to say you were completely drunk, somehow this casual night out, had turned into you guys celebrating going into your last year of college, meaning way more drinks were bought than expected.
You were all sitting in a booth, laughs echoing, when you felt your phone buzz in the pocket of your jeans shorts. You struggled a bit, but eventually, you got your phone out, squinting your eyes to see who was calling you.
❌trevor❌
You let out a sigh watching your phone ring until his contact disappeared, and then voicemail notification popped up. You knew you couldn’t do this to yourself, you shouldn’t, but you wanted to. So, you excused yourself, claiming you needed to use the bathroom, of course some of your friends suggested they came with you, not wanting you to be alone. But you assured them you’d be fine.
“Hey, it’s me. I… Uh, it’s been a while.” His voice echoed through the speaker of your phone, making you bit your lips as you heard his voice for the first time since you two broke up. “I hope you’re doing good, I really do.” He continued, his voice shaky a bit. Before he said anything else, you heard him sip on a drink and let out a sigh. “I don’t know if you’re busy or whatnot, maybe you’re having a night with your parents or something.” He added, sipping once again on his drink, and now you could tell he was a bit tipsy by the way his words were slurred a bit. “But I was wondering if you’d wanna meet up? Talk a bit about what happened. I’ll text you my new place, come if you want.”
And then it went silent, but he hadn’t hung-up, after about ten seconds of silence, you decided to hang up, telling yourself he was probably done and just miss clicked the red button on his phone. You stayed in the bathroom stall for a bit, wondering what you should do. You wanted nothing more than to see him, talk to him, get some closure about why he ended your relationship, but you didn’t want to get even more heartbroken than you already were.
When you made it back to the booth, you knew what you were going to do. Was it a smart decision? No, absolutely not. But did it seem like a good one to your drunk self? Yes, absolutely.
My brain goes, “Ah”
Can’t hear my thoughts (I cannot hear my thoughts)
Like blah-blah-blah (Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah)
Should probably not
I should probably, probably not
I should probably, probably not
As you announced your departure to your friends, a lot of them suggested to go with you, make sure you stay safe, but you convince them you’d be fine, only having a couple of minutes to walk and promising them you’d call them if anything happened.
As you started your adventure towards your desired place, your brain started to come to it’s sense. This was horrible idea, but you didn’t care. You craved to hear him, see him, smell his cologne that you adored so much, you need him. So, you just ignored what your head was telling you, choosing instead to follow your heart and what it wanted.
Seeing you tonight
It’s a bad idea right?
Seeing you tonight
It’s a bad idea right?
Seeing you tonight
It’s a bad idea right?
Seeing you tonight
Fuck it, it’s fine
As you got closer and closer, the anxiety of seeing him again started to settle in. What if he decided you took too long and left? What if he had another girl over and asked you to come just to rub it in your face? No, he wouldn’t that. Trevor could be an asshole on the ice sometimes, and to other guys in the bar if he saw them let their eyes linger on your body a little too long for his liking, but he wouldn’t do anything like that.
 That’d be such a dick move from him, plus, you were still in contact with Jamie, and from what you understood through the boy’s weird texts, Trevor hadn’t seen any other girl yet. So, truly, what was the worst that could happen, right?
Yes, I know that he’s my ex
But can’t two people reconnect?
I only see him as a friend
The biggest lie I ever said
Oh, yes, I know that he’s my ex
But can’t two people reconnect?
I only see him as a friend
I just tripped and fell into his bed
Deciding that at least informing your parents of where you were going, or more like who you were going to see was the least you could do. That way if your friends went over to check on you, they’d call your parents to see if you had gone to their house, they’d know of the horrible decision you had made the previous night.
Your mother wasn’t too fond of your idea, but she had met Trevor, he was a sweetheart, he knew you weren’t in any danger. If anything, she was over the moon that you had decided to finally go see the boy and talk about what had happened.
Trevor had met your parents countless of times during your relationship, your dad being a big hockey fan, even though his favorite team was the Kings and not the Ducks. Every time you’d mention coming to visit them for the day, Trevor coming along with you, they’d almost jump from excitement, happy that their daughter had finally found a good boy for herself. They were a little cautious of him at first, doing their researches online before meeting him and seeing not so good things about him and his reputation of being a playboy, but all that worry quickly washed away when they caught the two of you sitting on the front porch watching the sunset. The window in the living room giving them a perfect view of the two of you, wide smiles on your faces as they saw Trevor looking at their daughter the way your father looked at your mother, pure love in their eyes.
No, your mother was more scared of you walking the streets of Anaheim all alone in the dark, and you understood her. The world wasn’t a safe place, neither during dark or light, especially for young woman your age. The fact that you were drunk didn’t help either, so you decided to stay on the phone with her until you made it safely to Trevor’s place.
Now I’m gettin’ in the car, wreckin’ all my plans
I know I should stop, but I can’t
And I told my friend I was asleep
But I never said where (in his sheets)
And I pull up to your place on the second floor
And you’re standing, smiling at the door
And I’m sure I’ve seen much hotter men
But I really can’t remember when
Your hand were shaking slightly as you knocked on his door, making sure not to make too much noise to wake up his neighbors, but enough so he could hear you. You heard movement behind the door, along with the sound of the TV getting paused.
Then, the next thing you knew, Trevor was standing in front of you, a beer bottle in hand. A wide grin appeared on his face as your eyes meet for the first time in months. He had gotten a haircut, thankfully, the last time you saw him, his hair kept covering his eyes and he was always complaining about it, but refused to get it cut anywhere other than his hairdresser back home.
Suddenly, all the emotions you had been holding for the past couple of months rose within you. All the anger, hurt and love you felt towards him were all present inside you, making you extremely confused as to how you felt.
“You came.” He stated, his eyes growing wide as he realized what was going on, you were here.
“I did.” You confirmed, more to yourself than to him. Suddenly, you regretted coming here, but at the same time, you were so grateful to see him. Almost as if seeing him just confirmed that you’re relationship truly happened, that it was real and wasn’t just something you made up in your sleep, that he was real.
“Come in.” He said, opening up his door completely for you to walk in. There was still a couple of boxes in the corner of his living room, and there was barely any furniture, meaning he hadn’t been back for a while.
As the two of you walked into his living room, it was the first time you truly saw him. The lights in the hallway were dimed down considering the time, and all the lights in his kitchen and entry way were turned off. His skin was tanned, his muscles were more defined than they were back in spring, but one of the first thing you had noticed was his arm, more specifically his left one. It was now home to not one, but two tattoos.
You knew he was planning on getting some soon, it was something he talked about a lot during your relationship, but he never figured out what to get.
“A spider? Seriously?” You laughed as the two of you sat down on his couch. He gave you a weird look before realizing you were looking at his tattoos.
“Spiderman.” He answered with shrug, making you roll your eyes with a smile before letting your eyes drift over to the TV. Your heart dropped slightly as you realized what he was watching, Shameless, your favourite show. He had never watched it before the two of you started dating, and you quickly made sure to make him watch all the episodes, gasping when he informed you he’d never seen it before. You were about to mention it to him, but the screen went black before any words could leave your mouth.
“So, how you been?” He asked, his words a little slurred. You looked over at him, only to see he was already looking at you with a way too familiar look. A look he always had on his face when he’d be talking to you, or at any moment really, one that was reserved just for you and no one else. Only making you wonder even more why he had ended things between the two of you.
My brain goes, “Ah”
Can’t hear my thoughts (I cannot hear my thoughts)
Like blah-blah-blah (Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah)
Should probably not
I should probably, probably not
I should probably, probably not
“Seriously? You break up with me for no reason, then five months later you call me, drunk, asking me to come over to talk, and all you have you say is ‘how you been’?” You asked, the anger in you taking control. Trevor looked down at his lap at your words. He knew calling you was a bad idea, he didn’t even know why he decided to do it in the first place. Sure, he had been thinking about it ever since he walked out the door in April, apologize to you a million times and do anything you’d want him to if he meant he could be yours again, but he knew he couldn’t. He couldn’t break your heart even more than he already did.
“Listen, Bug, what I did, what I said, it was the worst mistake of my life.” He started, the nickname he had given slipping past his lips. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened and I was so stupid to end it. And, I know I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life and during our relationship, but being your boyfriend was never one. I am so in love with you―”
“Then why’d you end it, Trevor?” You cut him off, your voice stern as you avoided his gaze, scared that tears would start to form in your eyes if you looked over at him.
“Because you deserve better than me. You’re the most perfect person I’ve ever met, and I know that you don’t think you are, but to me you are. You’re kind to everyone, you’re smart, you care about everyone even if they’ve done bad things, you’re perfect. And I am… am just me. I fuck up everything good that happens in my life, I hurt people without even realizing it, I am not a good person, Y/N/N. You deserve better than me.” He confessed, his voice low, almost scared that you’d hear him. After he was done, he chugged the rest of his beer before adding one more thing. “I am not good enough for you.”
“Says who?”
“Everyone. Every time you’d meet someone I know, they’d always say they didn’t understand what someone like you saw in me, like I wasn’t good enough to be your boyfriend. All my family and friends, they all love you, but they don’t understand why you’re with me, and honestly, I don’t either.” He admitted, the tone and volume in his voice not changing. You knew Trevor was a bit insecure about himself, scared that he was too high energized that people wouldn’t want to be around him, but you never knew it was this deep.
“Why didn’t you just tell me, Trev?” You asked him, your voice shaky a bit. You start to wonder how long he had been feeling this way, suddenly feeling guilty for not noticing it. The boy next to you scoffed a bit before answering as he opened another beer.
“I didn’t want to burden you with my stupid problems.”
“Trevor… you could never burden me. I care about you, so much―”
“You care about everyone.”
“Yeah, maybe I do, but I don’t care about them the way I care about you, Trevor. You’ve made me feel the best I ever have in years, you’ve helped me over come so many challenges in the last year, you’ve been there for me through everything. The way I care about you, Trev, I can’t even explain it. And I am so, so sorry I didn’t realized that something was wrong and hearing you talk about it makes me feel guilty that when you needed someone to help you, I wasn’t there.”
“You couldn’t of had known―”
“But I should’ve. I should’ve realized, Trev, and I am sorry I didn’t. You were there for me every time I was hurting, and when you were, I wasn’t.”
Seeing you tonight
It’s a bad idea right?
Seeing you tonight
It’s a bad idea right?
Seeing you tonight
It’s a bad idea right?
Seeing you tonight
Fuck it, it’s fine
Then, the next thing you knew, his lips were on yours, one of his hand cupping your cheek as your eyes grew wide. After a couple of seconds, the boy pulled back, his eyes focused on yours, and you waisted no time pulling him back in for another one.
Minutes later, your tongue met his in the middle, a small gasp leaving his mouth as you bit down on his lip. His other hand was now resting on your waist, holding you close, as one of your hand was holding onto the collar of his shirt tightly while the other was holding onto his neck. Then, both of his hands started making their way down to your thighs, softly rubbing them before picking you up and placing you on his lap, your lips never leaving each other’s.
Soon, his hands made their way back up your body, slipping under the shirt you were wearing, pulling you closer to him. Your mouths separated for split second and you took the opportunity to lift his shirt over his head, wasting no time to attack his necks with small kisses and love bites.
Groans slipped past Trevor’s mouth every time you bit down on the skin under his ear, and even more when you started moving your core over his. Your shit was next, joining his on the floor behind the couch, and this time he was the one to attack your chest. Your hips accelerating every time his mouth got closer and closer to your breasts and soon your bra joined the small pile of clothes.
“Trev!” You moaned as his lips attached around one of your nipples, pulling the hairs on the back of his neck as he did so, a loud groan echoing through his living room. Eventually, his lips left your body, your foreheads now leaning against the other’s, mouths inches apart, as you both grinded on each other, moans leaving both of your mouths. Then, you uttered the three words he had been dying to hear in since April.
“I need you.”
Yes, I know that he’s my ex
But can’t two people reconnect?
I only see him as a friend
The biggest lie I ever said
Oh, yes, I know that he’s my ex
But can’t two people reconnect?
I only see him as a friend
I just tripped and fell into his bed
A grunt left your mouth as your back hit his mattress, his body soon leaning over yours as your lips attached, his hips meeting yours as you whined. You wanted nothing more in that moment than for his pants and underwear to disappear, as well as yours.
“So inpatient.” He mumbled as your lips parted, a smirk plastered on his face.
“Trev.” You whined, your hips leaving the comfort of the mattress to meet his, his smirk only growing even more. The forward waisted no time baring the both of your of your bottoms, creating a new pile of clothes, now in his bedroom instead of the living room.
As the morning hours rolled in, the two of you gave your everything to the other, your bodies, your wants, your heart. It was like you were back to last year, one of the happiest times of your life, spending each second that you could with the love of your life.
It was like April never happened, you had been stuck in time in March, the familiar sent of his cologne filling your nose as you feel asleep in his arms, your head tucked into his chest as his arms wrapped around your figure protectively, scared that you’d disappear and he’d lose all over again. In that moment, you felt true happiness in months, all the heartbreak and tears the boy had caused being forgotten by your undying love for him.
He was yours again, well at least for the night, but you didn’t want it to be just for tonight. You wanted him to be yours forever and always, you didn’t want to go back to how you were mere hours before, heartbroken and hung-up on the boy of your dreams. You had him right there, in your arms, and you weren’t ready to let go, not again. You lost him once, and you weren’t about to lose him twice.
At that moment, you decided that whatever happened when the two of you woke up, no matter how hard Trevor tried, or didn’t, to tell you to just forget it even happened, that it’d be best if the two of you didn’t see each other again, you weren’t gonna let him slip out of your grip without a fight like last time. You didn’t care if it took him days, or weeks to understand that there’s not other man you’d rather be with, having already decided that if you couldn’t have him, you were the spend the rest of your life alone. But, you needed him to understand that he was perfect for you, and that he was all you ever wanted.
Maybe he’ll never be yours again, but you’ll always be his.
Oh, yes, I know that he’s my ex
Can’t two people reconnect?
My brain goes, “Ah”
Can’t hear my thoughts
“Morning!” The Zegras boy exclaimed as you walked into his living room the next morning, well almost afternoon. All he was wearing was a plain pair of grey sweatpants, his boxer peaking over his waistband slightly. You had allowed yourself to dig through his closet, finding the pair of sweatpants and hoodie that were yours for most of the relationship before leaving his bedroom.
“Hi.” You whispered as you sat down on his couch. The boy sent you a small smile before throwing one of his arm on the back of the couch, something he always did.
“I just ordered breakfast, got you the same always.”
“Thank you.” You responded, and then a silence settled between the two of you as a news channel played on the TV. “How’s your head?”
“Huh?”
“You… you looked like you drank a lot last night.” You mumbled, keeping your eyes focused on the TV as you felt his looking at you.
“‘M fine. Had a little headache when I woke up, but I took an advil.” He answered, his eyes still looking at you as you nodded. “This is the part where you tell me we need to talk, isn’t it?” He added after a couple of seconds, another nod coming from you. He had a feeling about what you were about to say, and it wasn’t something he wanted to hear.
He had spent the whole morning prepping himself mentally to not break down if the words “mistake” and “forgot” left your mouth, telling himself he couldn’t just believe you’d come back after how he ended things previously. One of his solutions was avoiding eye contact, so he looked at the same place as you did, straight ahead.
“I get, I get that opening up and talking about things like insecurities is hard, Trev. It’s scary, you think people will judge you or making fun of you, of use it against you, trust me I know how it feels, but when you’re in a relationship with someone, that’s the kind of you stuff you can’t just hid from them. Especially if it makes you want to break up with them. That’s what I am here for, I am a safe space, Trev, nothing you tell me about how you feel or how you think will ever make me see you differently.
I love everything about you, Trevor, every little flaws about you just make me love you even more than I already do. To me, you’re perfect, Trevor. Everything about you is perfect to me, you’re everything I’ve ever wanted, you’re the one for me, I know you are. And I get that hearing people say that you’re not good enough for me can be hard, but trust me when I saw, you’re perfect for me.” You stated.
His heart dropped as your words filled his ears, in a good way of course. You remembered, even though you were drunk, you still remembered his confession from the previous night. Just as he was about to say something, the doorbell rang and he quick to push himself off the couch, but before he could take a step, your hand gripped his. His head turned to look at you, only when his gaze met yours, tears were pooling in your eyes.
“Don’t runaway again, Trev, please.” You begged, your voice shaky and broken. You knew him, if he walked away right now, your conversation would never continue, he’d come back in the living room and pretend that it never happened, he’d runaway from it instead of facing it, just like he did last time. He hesitated for a bit, your eyes staying locked together, before he nodded slightly and sat back down.
“It hurts. When people say all those things about me not being good enough for you, or that you could do so much better than me. I hate it.” He admitted, his eyes looking down at the floor, your hand still gripping his as you moved closer.
“Trev, look at me.” You said, and when his head didn’t move, you grabbed his chin, forcing him to look at you. His eyes were watering as he blinked repeatedly, trying to hold his tears in. “I don’t care what people say about us, you’re way more than enough for me, and yeah, maybe I could do better, but I don’t want better, I want you.”
“Maybe you could do better?” He questioned, a little confused as to why you would chose to say that to him.
“Someone that doesn’t have only three functioning brain cells.” You joked, making the boy laugh a little.
“You love it.”
“I do. I really do, Trevor. Everything about, all your flaws and everything, I love.” You spoke, your voice soft and low. Your hand that previously grabbed his chin now cupping his cheek, a soft smile appearing on his face.
“I am sorry.” He said as a tear fell from his eyes, which you were quick to wipe away before wrapping both your arms around his neck, his going around your waist as you held each other close.
“You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, love.” You whispered in his ear, only making his smile grow wider. In that moment, he realized that no matter issue he was dealing with, either from hockey or his personal life, you’d always be there for him, just like he always wanted to be there for you.
“Girlfriend?” He asked, making you pull your head away from his neck, but keeping your arms around him.
“Boyfriend.” You confirmed with a wide smile on your face, an identical ones plastered on Trevor’s face before the two of you leaned in and your lips locked together. Unlike all your kissed from the previous night, this one was slow and full of love. It wasn’t a quick, rushed and hungry one, no, it was one that only true lovers shared.

To say your mom was excited when you told her the news that you and Trevor were back together would be an understatement. A loud squeal came from the speaker of your phone, making you pull your phone away from your ear quickly as Trevor sent you a weird look. Before you even had time to say anything else to her, she hung out, claiming she had to go tell the good news to your father.
As for your friends, they were a little iffy about the situation, scared that the boy would break your heart once again, but eventually, they came around, realizing how in love the two of you were.
Trevor no longer ran away from his insecurities, now confronting them and talking about them with you, something you were extremely grateful for. All of his friends were over the moon when they heard that you were back together, tired of always hearing the Zegras boy mop over you.
As for you, you were the happiest you had ever been, everyday Trevor made sure to tell and show how much he loves and appreciates you, spoiling you with hugs and kisses.
 Your life was perfect again.

✧. summary ─ it’s halloween, the one day of the year tate is able to go outside. he’s been planning this special date for you. in secret. for an entire month
✧. warnings ─ none, just fluff.
-—————————⋆。‧˚ʚɞ˚‧。⋆—————————-
october is tate’s month. that fact has already been established.
it’s the only month of the year that he insists on being the one to cross out the days on your calendar, counting down the days to halloween.
the concept of days doesn’t really matter to tate, since he’s stuck in the house for eternity. he only keeps track of hours and minutes, waiting for you to come home like a puppy.
so when you’re at school, he gets down to planning.
the date has to be perfect because you are his light and you deserve the absolute best.
he uses Google map on your computer to check out potential date plans, scrawling them down on a piece of paper:
e.g. coffee shops, record stores, an escape room, a haunted house, the halloween festival, etc.
all the while listening to the playlist you guys share— a combo of your favourites songs and his favourites.
when it’s nearly the time you come home, he wipes the search history; turns off the computer, and stuffs the paper in his jeans pocket.
then he sits on the foot of the stairs, patiently waiting for you to step through the front door, just like every other day.
he gives you a bear hug, mumbles “i missed you” into the crook of your shoulder. the two of you share a kiss.
{time skip to halloween!}
he buys your favorite drink from the coffee shop, and the two of you wander through the crowd of people at the halloween festival, holding hands the entire time.
the haunted house is purely for shits and giggles. you live in the murder house, for christ’s sake.
he had chosen that particular place because he wants to see you get spooked. that way, you’ll jump into his arms and he can protect you.
tate hides behind bushes or around corners to jump-scare a bunch of trick-or-treaters. (he’s so immature sometimes)
he raids the candy bowls that sits on people’s doorsteps.
“the note says: ‘take one’. you took like, five.”
“but y/n, it’s sour patch kids and snickers!! ooh just look at these skittles-”
“tate.”
“okay, hear me out: one for you, one for me, and addy, beau and rose, don’t forget your parents-”
the fact that he wore his cardigan with large pockets isn’t just pure coincidence. boy has a major sweet tooth, he needs extra space to store his loot.
you both end up leaving with stuffed pockets. which made you feel a bit guilty, but the adorable and smug smile tate gave you made it a bit better.
“see? stealing isn’t that bad~”
before you can argue, he unwraps a small hersey’s bar and stuffs it into your mouth to shut you up, laughing.
you sneak into the movie theater together, perfectly timed to see the final parts of the movie where the slasher brutally murders everyone. the candy you’ve stolen taken from earlier comes in handy.
tate has always been secretly fantasizing the two of you kissing/holding hands in a dark theater, like in those chick flicks you forced him watch together.
finally, he gets to fulfill that fantasy.
after the movie, everyone else leaves, while you two proceeds to make out during the rolling credits.
until the employee kicks you both out.
your sit next to each other at the beach, having deep, philosophical conversations while you listen to the sound of waves crashing against the shore.
which lead to cuddling, then a hot make-out session.
“tate?”
“yeah, y/n?”
“this is the best halloween i’ve ever had.”

The weather today was on the better side, considering it was already early October. So, Y/N chose to go on a jog in the park rather than go to an overcrowded gym on a Saturday afternoon. Drawing near the end of her second mile, Y/N once again jogged past the playground. This time, her attention was drawn to two figures she would recognize anywhere. On the swing, the familiar mop of blond hair belonged to the little boy she saw nearly every day. Behind him stood Aaron, gently pushing him. It had been a few weeks since Y/N last encountered Aaron. She had grown accustomed to Jack's aunt picking him up from school, but she wouldn't deny that she occasionally found herself waiting for the sight of the familiar FBI agent entering the school gates.
In contrast to his usual suit and tie, Aaron was dressed in casual attire. He wore black jeans paired with a dark blue quarter-zip sweater over a grey shirt. He looked effortlessly handsome. Y/N hesitated for a moment, torn between approaching them to say hello or simply continuing her run. She didn't want to appear like a creeper, just standing there and observing a kid and his dad at play. As Aaron stood there, she realized that, somehow, she had missed him. It might sound ridiculous, given they had only talked twice before, but the feeling was there nonetheless.
A slight smile tugged at the corner of Y/N's lips as she watched the scene unfold, the sight of him with his son brought a soft warmth to her chest. Their interaction was so heartwarming that she pulled out her headphones to listen more closely to Jack's laughter. Jack noticed her and his eyes immediately lit up. "Ms. Y/L/N!" Jack's voice rang out with excitement, and Y/N's heart warmed at the sound of her name. She turned towards him, a bright smile on her lips, and saw him hopping off the swing with uncontainable energy. His small legs carried him towards her, his enthusiasm infectious.
"Hey, buddy," she greeted, bending down slightly as he approached. "How's it going?"
"Hi!" Jack exclaimed, his eyes shining as he stopped in front of her. "I'm good! Look, Dad, it's Ms. Y/L/N!"
Aaron was walking over to them, and Y/N thanked all the gods that she had worn her extra-strong deodorant today. She glanced down at herself for a second and cursed inwardly. She didn't feel presentable at all, wearing running leggings with an old, oversized t-shirt thrown on top. Her baby hairs were probably flying in every direction, and she could still feel the flush on her face from her run.
"Hello, Mr. Hotchner," she greets Aaron with a smile, her heart racing slightly at the sight of him standing beside Jack.
"Hi," he replies, a warm and genuine smile gracing his lips as he meets her gaze.
"Dad and I are playing here every weekend when he's not working," Jack chimes in, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
"I remember you telling me about it, Jack," she says, her voice tinged with a mixture of curiosity and delight. She gazes between the two Hotchner boys, her eyes lingering on Aaron for a moment before returning to Jack.
"Are you out for a run?" Aaron inquires, his voice carrying a hint of curiosity.
"Oh yeah, the weather was too nice today to be stuck at home," she replies, a small laugh escaping her lips.
" Mrs. Y/N, can you play with us on the playground? Dad is pushing me, but not high enough. He says it's dangerous" Jack pleads with an excited grin.
"I think he's right about that, buddy," she responds with a chuckle, giving Jack an apologetic look before glancing back at Aaron.
"Uh, well, you know," Aaron starts, "if you want to, you're welcome to join. But you don't have to, we don't want to hold you up in your free time."
Y/N can't help but notice the tinge of shyness in his voice, and she smiles reassuringly. "Oh, it's no trouble at all. I'd love to join you guys if that's okay."
Aaron's lips curl into a small smile, a mixture of relief crossing his features. "Really? Well, that's great. Jack would love it."
They walk over to the swings, and Aaron starts gently pushing Jack again as Y/N stands beside him. They begin a casual conversation, talking about their weekends and other light topics.
A couple of minutes later, Jack's enthusiasm for the swings wanes, and he announces that he wants to go on the slide. "Sure thing, buddy. We'll sit here and watch you," Aaron agrees, giving his son an encouraging smile.
Turning towards Y/N, Aaron gestures towards the nearby bench. "Would you like to sit down?" he asks, his tone warm and inviting.
"Kids have so much energy," she giggles as she takes a seat on the bench.
"Tell me about it," Aaron adds, chuckling softly.
"I haven't seen you in a couple of weeks," she says, looking at him with a hint of curiosity.
Aaron raises an eyebrow playfully. "Oh, did you notice my absence?" he asks, a playful glint in his eyes.
Y/N smirks. "Well, let's just say the school gates have been a little less eventful, without your intimidating FBI presence, Mr Hotchner."
He feigns offense, placing a hand over his heart. "Intimidating? I prefer 'authoritative'," he quips, his eyes sparkling with amusement.
He laughs, and their playful banter continues, both of them finding it surprisingly easy to talk and flirt with each other.
Even after weeks of not seeing her, it only takes one smile from her to rekindle all the warm feelings he felt on the first night they met.
As they talk, Y/N can't help but notice how his eyes light up when he laughs, and how he seems genuinely interested in every word she says. She tries to keep her emotions in check, reminding herself that they're just getting to know each other and that he's still the dad of a student, but the crazy attraction between them is undeniable.
"Work was just really busy these past couple of weeks," he answers her initial question.
"I guess you being busy means bad things happened to people?" she asks, not sure if he's even allowed to share details from his job.
He lets out a sigh and begins to explain the recent case, which involved a serial killer on the loose. He goes into detail about the case, describing the patterns and methods of the serial killer they were tracking. Y/N listens intently, her eyes focused on his face as he speaks. Despite the grim topic, there's a certain intensity in his voice that captures her attention.
As he talks, she can't help but feel a mix of emotions—concern for the victims, admiration for his dedication, and a strange sense of closeness that comes from sharing a part of his world. She nods sympathetically, understanding the weight of the responsibility he carries in his job.
"I can't even imagine dealing with something like that," she says softly once he's finished explaining. "It must be tough."
He meets her gaze, his expression somber. "It is," he admits, his tone heavy. "But it's also why we do what we do, to protect people and bring justice."
She offers him a small, supportive smile. "Well, I'm glad there are people like you out there doing that."
He smiles back, appreciating her understanding. "Thank you. It's not always easy, but it's worth it."
Their conversation takes a serious turn, but even in these moments, there's an undeniable connection between them. They're sharing parts of their lives that they might not normally reveal to others, and it creates a sense of intimacy that's hard to ignore.
As they continue to talk, Jack's laughter can be heard from the nearby slide, reminding them that they're still in the middle of a playground. They both turn their attention to him, chuckling at his exuberance.
"Well that was not the typical playground conversation," Aaron agrees, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "But I appreciate you listening."
She smiles back, her gaze warm. "It's not every day I get to hear about the inner workings of the FBI. It's kind of fascinating, in a twisted way."
He chuckles softly. "Twisted is a good way to describe it."
They sit there for a moment, caught in comfortable silence, the sounds of children playing around them. It's a strange contrast—the serious topic they've just discussed and the carefree atmosphere of the playground.
Jack runs up to them and whines, "Dad, I'm so hungry."
Aaron looks at his watch and says, "It's already lunchtime, so how about getting you something to eat?"
"Can Mrs. Y/L/N have lunch with us?" Jack asks Aaron.
Aaron hesitates for a second. He doesn't want Y/N to feel forced to join them just because Jack asked. Y/N notices his reluctance and answers before Aaron feels obligated to invite her. “Weekends are for you and your dad, buddy. I don’t want to get in the way.”
"You are not. You are not getting in the way,” Aaron says immediately, his voice slightly urgent, a hint of desperation in his eyes as he meets her gaze.
She looks back at him, surprised, her lips curving into a faint smile. “You sure?”
“Definitely,” he confirms, his smile warm and inviting, his eyes holding a mixture of hope and eagerness that he can't quite conceal.
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
As Y/N stood in line at the taco truck, Aaron excused himself to accompany Jack to the nearby bathroom. Just as Y/N is about to pay, a gentle grip on her wrist makes her look up. Aaron stood there with Jack in his arms, his warm smile urging her to put her card away.
“We invited you, so it's our treat,” he insisted, pulling out his wallet and gesturing her not to worry about the payment. The small, genuine gesture touched her, and she couldn't help but smile in response.
Sitting at one of the empty tables with an umbrella overhead, Aaron carefully slices apart Jack's quesadilla, making it easier for him to eat.
“I don't know how you take care of 20 kids at the same time. I sometimes get overwhelmed with this little one,” he said with a chuckle, his expression a mix of fondness and amusement.
Y/N chuckled, taking a bite of her own taco. "Well, I guess it's a bit like handling multiple cases at once. Just with more crayons and fewer suspects."
Aaron smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I never thought of it that way."
"Yeah, well, you've got the whole FBI thing going on," she teased, raising an eyebrow playfully. "I'm just a humble teacher."
His lips quirked up into a grin. "A humble teacher who managed to capture my son's heart with those amazing cookies."
"Oh, so it's the cookies that won you over?" she asked, feigning surprise.
He chuckled, shaking his head. "I meant both of you, actually."
She laughed, the sound light and genuine. "Well, I'll take that as a compliment, Mr. Hotchner."
"Please, call me Aaron."
She smiled, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Alright, Aaron. But only if you call me Y/N."
"Deal," he said, raising his taco slightly as if sealing the deal.
Aaron found himself captivated by Y/N's presence, her laughter resonating like a sweet melody in the air. He couldn't help but be drawn to the way her eyes sparkled when she smiled, and the way her expressions shifted with every topic they discussed. As she took a bite of her taco, he couldn't help but notice the way her lips curved around the food, and he found himself imagining what it would be like to kiss her.
As they playfully bantered back and forth, he realized that her quick wit matched his own, making their conversation feel like a comfortable exchange rather than a forced interaction.
But beyond her professional qualities, there was something about Y/N that resonated on a deeper level. Maybe it was the kindness in her eyes, the way she paid attention to every word he said or the genuine interest she showed in getting to know him. Or perhaps it was the way her laughter seemed to light up the whole area around them, creating a sense of warmth and comfort that he hadn't felt in a long time.
As Jack chimed in with his cheerful comments, Aaron couldn't help but notice the easy way she interacted with his son. She was patient and attentive, responding to Jack's questions and stories with genuine enthusiasm. It was clear that she had a natural rapport with children, and seeing how she made Jack laugh and smile only deepened his appreciation for her.
"I want to try something," she says, her tone playful as she takes another bite of her taco.
"What is it?" Aaron asks, raising an eyebrow in curiosity.
Y/N grins mischievously. "I want to test your profiling skills."
His lips twitch into a half-smile. "Alright, shoot."
"Tell me something about me that you've observed so far," she challenges, her eyes dancing with amusement.
Aaron takes a moment to study her, his gaze thoughtful as he tries to put his profiling skills to use. "You're highly organized, but you have a spontaneous side that you let out on occasion. You're the oldest child in your family, and I have a feeling you've taken care of a younger sibling at some point. You're ambitious and dedicated – top of your class when you finished school. And," he pauses for a moment, a twinkle in his eyes, "green is your favorite color."
Y/N's eyes widen in shock. "Wow, Agent Hotchner. You're good”, she concedes, still looking amazed. "But I must admit, I'm a bit speechless at how accurately you just described me. How did you guess my favorite color?"
His expression softens, and he smiles at her warmly. "Sometimes, the most observant people are the ones who understand others the best."
True," she concedes, her eyes still fixed on him. "But here's something you might not have deduced yet."
Aaron raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "And what might that be?"
"I've thoroughly enjoyed our conversations," she admits, a subtle blush dusting her cheeks. "And I hope we'll have more of them in the future."
His heart skips a beat at her candid confession, and a warm smile spreads across his face. "I'm looking forward to that too, Y/N."
Y/N's lips curve into a genuine smile, and for a moment, the world around them fades away as they share a connection that goes beyond mere small talk.
A brisk breeze rustles through the air, causing both of them to look up. It's then they notice the sky has grown darker, and massive rain clouds are gathering on the horizon. The weather is shifting, a typical occurrence for this time of the season.
"Maybe we should start heading back," Y/N suggests, eyeing the gathering clouds warily.
Aaron nods in agreement and starts to clear their trash. Just as he's about to toss something away, rain starts to pour down suddenly. They quickly seek shelter under the umbrella, but it's not enough to keep them dry. With a laugh, Y/N sits down on the table, motioning for Aaron to join her. Jack finds the situation amusing and joins in the laughter as he perches on Aaron's lap.
"Looks like we'll be here for a while," Y/N comments, her voice lighthearted despite the unexpected rain.
As they sit close together, Y/N can't help but feel a rush of warmth. The accidental touches of their arms and legs send tiny sparks through her, and she's acutely aware of the proximity between them. Her heart beats a little faster, and she finds herself stealing glances at Aaron, wondering if he's feeling the same electric charge in the air.
Meanwhile, Aaron can't ignore the sensation that his skin is on fire when it touches Y/N's. Her laughter and the playful energy that surrounds them seem to resonate deep within him. He's keenly aware of her presence, the way she fits perfectly next to him on the table. The rain's rhythm mixes with the thumping of his heart, creating a melody that he wishes could stretch on forever.
They sit there for nearly 15 minutes, the rain showing no signs of letting up. Jack's patience is wearing thin, evident from his growing restlessness. "I think someone is getting antsy," Y/N chuckles, looking down at Jack.
Aaron's suggestion interrupts their little sheltered haven. "Let me drive you home," he offers, his voice warm and genuine.
Y/N begins to shake her head in polite refusal. "Oh, you really don't have to, Aaron. It's not that far, and I don't want to trouble you."
But as she glances upwards, the steady fall of raindrops from the grey sky convinces her that it's a wiser choice to accept his kind offer. "Actually, that sounds like a good idea. It doesn't look like the rain will stop anytime soon."
Aaron gives her a reassuring smile. "I promise, it's no trouble at all. Plus, Jack here seems ready to go," he says, glancing at his son who nods in agreement.
With a chuckle, Y/N concedes, "Alright, you win. Thank you."
"The car is parked around the corner," Aaron informs them.
"Let's have a quick run then, so Jack doesn't get soaked," she suggests and Aaron agrees.
Jack buries his head into his father's chest, using him as a shield from the rain, and Aaron and Y/N set off toward the car. The rain pelts down around them, the sound of it creating a soothing backdrop to their hurried steps. Jack's laughter punctuates the air, ringing with pure joy despite the wet weather. It doesn't take them long to reach the car, but by the time they do, both Y/N and Aaron are laughing too, caught up in the contagious energy of the moment. Aaron unlocks the car and helps Jack into his booster seat, the raindrops running down his face like tiny rivulets. Finally settled inside the car, they exchange amused glances before Y/N turns to Aaron with a grin. "Well, that was an unexpected adventure."
Aaron navigates the rain-slicked streets with ease, glancing at Y/N from the corner of his eye now and then. The patter of rain on the car's roof fills the silence, and he finds himself enjoying the quiet companionship. As they near her apartment building, he slows down and smoothly parks the car along the curb.
Turning off the engine, Aaron swivels in his seat to face Y/N. "Here we are," he says, a small smile playing on his lips.
Aaron watches Y/N as she turns her attention to Jack, who fell asleep in the backseat. A soft smile plays on his lips as he sees the tenderness in her gaze. He can't help but feel a swell of affection for both of them.
"He must be really tired," she giggles, looking at him fondly. She unbuckles her seatbelt, "Thank you for the ride, Aaron," she says sincerely.
Aaron meets her gaze, his eyes warm and sincere. "He had quite the day. It was a pleasure having you join us for lunch."
Y/N smiles back, her expression a mix of appreciation and something more. The rain outside seems to have softened, casting a calm ambiance in the car. "Thank you for everything, Aaron. It turned out to be a much more eventful day than I expected."
As she opens the car door, she turns back to him with a small smile. "Take care."
"You too, Y/N," he replies, his voice carrying a hint of something more.
With that, she steps out into the fading rain, leaving Aaron in the quiet cocoon of his car. He watches her for a moment longer, her figure illuminated by the soft glow of streetlights. He lingers there, the feeling of their shared moments filling the space around him.
With a sigh and a small smile, he shifts the car into gear and drives away. The rain-soaked streets seem to echo the emotions swirling within him, and as he heads home, he can't help but feel that their paths will cross again soon.
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
As Aaron steps into the bullpen, his team of profilers pauses their work momentarily to glance at him. A few exchanged curious glances, noting the subtle change in his demeanor. Emily and Derek raise an eyebrow exchanging looks, Rossi smirks knowingly, and Penelope's fingers pause over the keyboard sitting at Spencer's desk, as she's helping him with a problem on his computer.
"Hey there, Hotch. Did someone slip you a happy pill this morning?" Derek teases, a playful grin on his face.
Aaron chuckles, shaking his head. "No, just feeling a bit more optimistic today."
Emily smirks and raises her coffee cup in his direction. "Well, whatever it is, keep it up. We could all use a little positivity around here."
Garcia, always the one to pick up on details, leans in and narrows her eyes at him. "So, did you have a good weekend, boss? Do anything fun?"
Aaron gives a nonchalant shrug, "Just spent some time with Jack."
Spencer, engrossed in his book, chimes in without looking up. "It's nice to have quality time with family."
"Yeah, and maybe some other things too," Penelope adds with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.
Aaron raises an eyebrow at her, a hint of a smile playing at the corner of his lips. "I don't know what you're talking about, Garcia."
She winks at him, her fingers dancing across the keyboard again. "I've got a knack for spotting a man with a secret, boss. But don't worry, your mysterious aura is safe with me."
As the team goes back to their work, Aaron retreats to his office with a small smile tugging at his lips. He knows he can't hide everything from his observant team, but for now, he's content to bask in the residual glow of a weekend spent in good company.
Rossi follows Aaron into his office a couple of minutes later, a knowing smile on his face. He leans against the doorway, arms crossed, and raises an eyebrow at Aaron. "Feeling chipper today, Hotch?"
Aaron chuckles and gestures for Rossi to come in. "Just a change of pace, Dave. The weekend was good."
Rossi nods knowingly. "You know, we're all a bit curious. The team noticed the shift in your mood. Something you care to share?"
Aaron leans back in his chair, his fingers steepled. "Spent some time with Jack over the weekend."
Rossi raises an eyebrow. "Quality father-son bonding time?"
"Yeah," Aaron nods. "And a little extra."
Rossi's interest is piqued. "Oh? Do tell."
Aaron briefly explains how he and Jack had run into Y/N at the park, the unexpected rain, and the impromptu lunch. He recounts their conversation, the laughter, and the connection he felt. He doesn't elaborate on the subtle undercurrents of attraction, but Rossi seems to catch on.
"Sounds like you had quite the weekend," Rossi remarks with a knowing smile. "And Y/N?"
"She is just… wonderful. Smart, kind, and easy to talk to. But she's still Jacks teacher”, he says and lets out a big sigh.
Rossi raises an eyebrow. "And is that all she is to you, Aaron?"
Aaron's lips curve into a small smile. "Honestly, I don't know. We're just getting to know each other."
Rossi chuckles. "Well, my advice? Enjoy it. Life's too short to ignore sparks when they fly."
J.J. enters Aaron's office as he and Rossi are still talking. She wears a focused expression that immediately signals that something important is happening. "Hey, guys, we've got a new case."
Aaron and Rossi exchange a glance before they both stand up and follow J.J. to the briefing room. The rest of the team is already assembled, their expressions serious and alert.
As they settle into their seats, J.J. projects images on the screen at the front of the room. "We've got a serial shooter case in Indiana. Four victims so far, all in different locations. The local authorities believe it's the work of a single unsub. They're looking to us for help."
Emily leans forward, her brows furrowed. "Do we have any leads on the shooter?"
J.J. nods. "We've got witness reports that might help us with the profile. Our unsub seems to be targeting random individuals, but there's a pattern emerging in the locations. We're thinking it might be someone familiar with the area."
Rossi leans back in his chair, his fingers steepled under his chin. "Any connection between the victims? Similarities in background, maybe?"
J.J. taps a few keys, bringing up more information on the screen. "Not that we can find so far. Different ages, genders, occupations. No obvious links."
Aaron takes a deep breath and leans forward. "Alright, we need to hit the ground running.. Garcia, I need you to dig into the locations. See if there's any connection we're missing."
Garcia nods, her fingers flying over the keyboard. "On it, boss."
Morgan leans forward, his gaze intense. "We need to find this guy before he strikes again."
Aaron's expression hardens. "Agreed. Let's get to work. Wheels up in thirty."
On the flight there, the team launches into a detailed discussion, analyzing the evidence and checking possible leads.
They work diligently, honing in on the profile and strategizing their approach. The jet is filled with the hum of brainstorming, a mix of tension and determination in the air. The case has taken over their focus, but somewhere in the back of his mind, Aaron can't help but remember the warmth of the conversation he shared with Y/N just days before.
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
Meanwhile, Y/N is at school, taking her first break. Instead of heading to the teachers' room, she stays in her classroom, needing a moment to herself. She knows the second Liz lays eyes on her, she will know something is up.
As Y/N sits at her desk, looking out the window, her thoughts drift back to the events of the weekend. The past few days have been a whirlwind of emotions. She can't deny that Saturday was one of the best days she's had in a long time. The easy conversation, the laughter, and the genuine connection she felt with Aaron and Jack were something she cherished.
But along with those positive feelings comes a swirl of guilt and uncertainty. Y/N can't help but question herself and the situation. She feels conflicted about her growing attraction to Aaron. While she enjoys talking to him and being around him, there's a nagging voice inside her, reminding her that he's a parent to one of her students. It's not just about her feelings, but also about Jack and his wellbeing.
"Why couldn't he be a random guy I met at a bar or a coffee shop?" Y/N thinks to herself, her emotions a mixture of longing and frustration. She sighs, taking a deep breath, and tries to push aside those conflicting thoughts for now. Focus is key, especially with a classroom full of kids waiting for her.
"Your overthinking is starting to stink up the room," Liz jokes, poking her head through the door and pretending to fan the air. She enters the room, her concern genuine as she walks over to Y/N's desk. "Seriously, what's going on? You usually don't hide in here unless something is up" she asks, her eyes full of worry.
Y/N hesitates for a moment, debating whether to share her thoughts with Liz. She knows that Liz's enthusiasm might not help her current state of mind, but she also knows that she can trust her best friend. With a sigh, she finally decides to open up.
"It's just... Saturday," Y/N starts, her voice soft as she looks down at her hands, fidgeting with a pen. "I ran into Jack and his dad at the park. We talked, and it was really nice. But now... I can't stop thinking about it."
Liz's eyes widen in excitement. "Oh my God, finally. You wouldn't shut up about him for weeks" she laughs, unable to contain her enthusiasm.
“Hey, rude!”, Y/N exclaims, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
Liz lets out an excited squeal, causing Y/N to chuckle despite herself. "Okay, tell me tell me!" Liz demands, pulling up a chair and sitting down next to her friend.
As Y/N recounts the events of Saturday, she feels a mixture of emotions. Liz listens attentively, interjecting with gasps and exclamations of delight. When Y/N finishes, Liz places a supportive hand on her shoulder.
"It sounds like you had an amazing time," Liz says gently. "And I can totally understand why you're conflicted. But you can't control who you're attracted to. Maybe there's more to this situation than you realize."
Y/N sighs, appreciating Liz's understanding. "I know, but he's a parent of one of my students. It's complicated."
Liz nods sympathetically. "It's not an easy situation, but life isn't always straightforward. Maybe you should give it a chance, see where things go."
Y/N leans back in her chair, gazing out the window. "Maybe you're right. It's just... I can't shake this feeling of guilt, like I'm doing something wrong."
Liz gives her a reassuring smile. "You're not. Just follow your heart and take it one step at a time. And hey, if it doesn't work out, at least you'll have a great story to tell."
Y/N chuckles softly, feeling a bit lighter after talking to her friend. "Thanks, Liz. You always know how to make me feel better."
Liz winks. "That's what friends are for. Now spill more details about this handsome dad!"
And just like that, Y/N finds herself caught up in Liz's excitement, talking about Aaron, Jack, and the unexpected encounter that has her heart in a whirlwind.
It's later in the afternoon, during the last period of the day, and the classroom is filled with a quiet hum as the kids work on their assignments. Y/N is at her desk, grading papers, when she notices Jack approaching her table. She immediately senses the discomfort in his face and the way he clutches his stomach.
"Hey there, Jackie. Are you okay?" Y/N asks, her concern evident as she stands up and places her hands gently on his shoulders.
Jack looks up at her with teary eyes, his lower lip quivering. "My tummy hurts, and my head hurts too," he murmurs, his voice small and strained.
Y/N's heart melts at the sight of his distress. She crouches down to his level and smiles softly. "I'm so sorry you're not feeling well, sweetie. Let's get you to a comfy spot."
She guides him to a corner of the classroom with a small couch, helping him sit down. Y/N rummages through her bag and pulls out a small water bottle and a pack of tissues. She hands him the water and he takes a sip, sniffling as he wipes his eyes.
"Take your time sipping the water, Jack. It might help your tummy feel a bit better," she says gently, her hand rubbing his back in soothing circles.
He nods, still looking a bit miserable. "Thank you, Ms. Y/L/N," he says softly.
Y/N smiles and pats his shoulder. "You're welcome, sweetie. Is there anything else I can do to help you feel more comfortable?"
He sniffles and looks up at her with a shy smile. "Can I have a hug?"
Y/N's heart melts even further, and she pulls him into a gentle embrace. "Of course, you can, sweetheart. I'm here for you."
She places her hand on Jack's forehead, noticing that it feels a little warmer than it should be. Concerned, she gently brushes his hair away from his face. "How about we call your dad, and he can come pick you up? Maybe getting some rest at home will help you feel better. What do you think, Jack?"
Jack nods weakly, his eyes still watery from not feeling well. "Yes, please," he replies in a small voice.
Y/N offers him an understanding smile and pats his shoulder. "Don't worry, buddy. We'll make sure you're well taken care of."
Returning to her desk, she takes a moment to locate the list of emergency contacts that parents had filled out on Parent's Night. With a quick glance, she finds Jack's father's number and dials it. After a few rings, it goes to voicemail. She leaves a message, her tone reassuring, explaining that Jack isn't feeling his best but assuring him that it's nothing serious.
Next on the list is Jack's aunt, Jess, listed as the second emergency contact. Y/N dials the number and waits as it rings, hoping for a quick response. However, it goes to voicemail as well. She leaves another message, her voice maintaining a calm demeanor, explaining the situation and requesting a call back as soon as possible.
Feeling a bit frustrated that she couldn't reach either of the emergency contacts, Y/N returns to Jack's side. She crouches down beside him and offers a soft smile. "Well, buddy, it looks like we're going to wait a little bit."
Not long after, she moves on to the next contact option and uses the email that Aaron had provided on the emergency contact list. She quickly types out a message, detailing Jack's condition, the fact that she couldn't reach him or his aunt, and her intention to contact Penelope Garcia as the last resort. After sending the email, she waits anxiously for any sign of response.
Ten minutes pass, and there's no reply from either Aaron or his aunt. Y/N begins to feel a growing sense of unease. Deciding not to waste any more time, she dials the final number listed, which belongs to Penelope Garcia.
"Penelope Garcia," a woman's voice answers the phone.
"Hi, I'm Ms. Y/L/N, Jack Hotchner's teacher," Y/N introduces herself quickly, her voice a mix of concern and urgency. "Your number was on my emergency contact list. Am I speaking to the right person?"
"Oh! Yes, yes. Is everything okay with my Jackie?" Penelope's voice is filled with genuine concern.
"Yes, don't worry," Y/N reassures her. "He's not feeling well, and I couldn't reach his dad or his aunt. I wanted to make sure he's taken care of. Do you think you could pick him up?"
We are on an important case, and he's out of town right now,” she informs the teacher.
"Oh, you're from the FBI too?" Y/N asks, a touch of surprise in her voice.
"Yes, technical analyst," Penelope explains, her voice sounding more and more concerned. "But I can't leave the office right now.” She thinks for a moment and suggest, "Let's do it like this, I will send over an agent to pick Jack up and bring him here to me. I can take care of him until we get a hold of Aaron or Jess”
Y/N considers the situation carefully. She looks over at Jack, who appears even more tired and flushed. His fever seems to have worsened. The idea of sending a random agent to pick him up doesn't sit well with her, as it might only stress him out further.
"How about I drive him over to you? Would that be alright? I... I don't want to send him off alone when he's not feeling good," Y/N asks Penelope, her concern evident in her voice.
There's a brief pause on the other end of the line, and then Penelope's voice sounds pleasantly surprised. "Oh, you're an angel! I'll send over the address right away. Just bring him here, and I'll be waiting."
As Y/N hangs up the call, a sense of determination fills her. She turns her attention to Jack, whose eyes are drooping from the exhaustion of being sick. She gently rubs his back to comfort him. "Hey, Jack, I'm going to take you to Aunt Penelope okay?"
Jack looks up at her with a small smile. "You're nice, Mrs. Y/L/N."
"Thank you, Jack," she says softly, touched by his words.
Before they leave, Y/N quickly dials Liz's number. "Hey, Liz, I need to ask you a huge favor. Would you be able to watch over my class for the last half hour? Something came up, Jack is not feeling good and Aaron is out of town. I need to take him to someone who can look after him."
Liz agrees without hesitation, offering her assistance without questioning. "Of course, Y/N. I've got you covered. Take care of Jack, and let me know if you need anything else."
Feeling grateful for her supportive friend, Y/N ends the call and focuses her attention on Jack once more. She helps him gather his belongings and guides him towards the exit, holding his hand as they navigate the school hallways, after Liz took over the class.

The FBI building appears even more imposing than Y/N had anticipated. As she and Jack make their way towards the entrance, she can't help but feel a bit overwhelmed by the serious-looking individuals rushing about. However, the thought of helping Jack overrides her nerves.
Thankfully, Penelope had already informed the reception of their arrival, so the process of getting a visitor pass is relatively smooth. Y/N can't help but notice that Jack is clutching her hand a little tighter, his big eyes taking in the surroundings with a mixture of awe and trepidation.
Once they have their passes, Y/N guides Jack towards the elevators.
As they step out of the elevator and onto the sixth floor, a woman with flowing blonde hair, dressed in a vibrant pink butterfly-themed dress and high heels, approaches them. Her appearance and warm aura are a stark contrast to the typically formal atmosphere of the building. The woman wears a large pearl necklace and matching earrings, standing out from the sea of suit-clad individuals.
"Oh my little baby angel Jackie. Are you not feeling well, my little prince?" she coos, her voice incredibly sweet and endearing. Y/N can't help but smile at the woman's affectionate words.
“My tummy hurts, Aunt Penny,” Jack replies and rushes forward to hug her.
Penelope looks up at Y/N, her expression grateful. "Hi, thank you so much for driving him here."
Y/N smiles and extends her hand. "Hi, Agent Garcia. Nice to meet you, and it was not a problem at all."
"Call me Penelope," she insists warmly. "Come, I'll bring you two to Aaron's office. Jack can lay down there."
Aaron's office is just as Y/N had imagined. Piles of paperwork clutter the desk, surrounded by an array of impressive-looking plaques and sports trophies displayed on the shelves. The room carries an air of professionalism, yet personal touches are evident. Y/N notices several pictures of Jack placed around the office—a baby picture, a recent one, and one with his late wife. The photo of Aaron's wife stands out; she looks radiant, and it's evident where Jack inherited his blond hair from.
As Jack lays down on the couch, he quickly drifts off to sleep. Penelope gestures to an empty chair. "Please, have a seat," she offers with a warm smile.
“So you're the Ms. Y/L/N that Jack talks about all the time?" Penelope smiles warmly, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
"That would be me," Y/N replies, returning the smile.
"Now I know why he adores you," Penelope continues, her tone carrying a mix of admiration and appreciation. "You truly care about your students. Not many people would have gone out of their way to drop him off like this."
Y/N glances at the peacefully sleeping Jack and responds, "Thank you for saying that. It means a lot."
Penelope's expression softens as she looks at Y/N. "It's not just about saying it. It's obvious you're a wonderful teacher."
The two women share a moment of mutual understanding before Penelope breaks the silence. "I managed to get a hold of Jess. She's in a conference but will be here in a couple of hours. There seems to have been some miscommunication between her and Aaron. She thought he was picking Jack up today."
"That's good to hear. And what about Aar-... Mr. Hotchner?" Y/N clears her throat, changing her wording at the last moment to avoid using his first name in front of Penelope. She doesn't want to give the wrong impression.
Penelope notices the switch but doesn't comment on it. "The team is on an operation right now, but one of our agents, Agent Jareau, knows what's going on. She'll pass the message on to Hotch as soon as possible."
“Will he be alright?”, Y/N finds herself asking without thinking, "I mean, will the team be alright? They have such a dangerous job. It must be really worrisome waiting for them back here." She blushes a little, embarrassed by her rambling.
Penelope smiles warmly at Y/N's concern. "You're absolutely right. It's not an easy job, and we do worry about them. But they're a strong team, and they look out for each other."
Y/N nods, appreciating Penelope's reassurance. "It must take a lot of courage to do what you guys do."
Penelope's expression grows serious for a moment. "It does, but it's all about making a difference, keeping people safe, and kicking bad guys asses.", she laughs.
As they chat, Y/N begins to feel more at ease in Penelope's company. The initial tension she felt when she entered the building has faded, and Penelope's friendly nature helps her relax.
Jack stirs on the couch, letting out a small sigh in his sleep, and both women glance over at him. "He looks so peaceful," Y/N comments softly.
Penelope nods with a smile. "He's in good hands here. We'll take care of him until Jess arrives."
Y/N's gratitude shines through in her eyes. "Thank you, Penelope. I really appreciate your help and it was really nice to meet you."
Penelope waves it off. "No problem at all. That's what we're here for and I'm glad that I finally met Jack's favorite teacher."
With that, Y/N says her final goodbyes to Penelope and drives home.

In Indiana, the team returns to the police station after their first unsuccessful attempt to catch the unsub. The tension from the case hangs heavily in the air, mixing with their exhaustion as they re-enter the familiar surroundings of the bullpen. Despite their collective fatigue, their sense of duty remains strong.
J.J. approaches Aaron with a mixture of concern and urgency etched across her face. She's the bearer of news, and as she delivers her message, Aaron's eyebrows furrow, his worry etched into the lines on his forehead.
"Is he alright?" Aaron's voice carries an undertone of concern, his thoughts immediately shifting to his son's well-being. The mere thought of his son not feeling well triggers an instinctive sense of protectiveness.
JJ reassures him, "Penelope says he has a little fever, but Jess will be there shortly to pick him up. He's sleeping in your office."
Aaron's concern deepens as he processes the information. "In my office? Why is he there?"
JJ's explanation brings some clarity. "Jessica was at a conference, but she's on her way now. She mentioned that she told you, but you might've forgotten."
The realization hits him, and he curses softly under his breath. The whirlwind of the case had momentarily overshadowed his responsibilities as a father. His worry for Jack mixes with a hint of self-criticism for not being more vigilant about his son's situation. His colleagues exchange knowing glances. The team is used to Aaron's dedication to his work, but they also recognize his deep attachment to his son. Despite his frustration, Aaron manages to maintain a composed exterior, even as his worry for Jack continues to chew at him from the inside.
A frustrated sigh escapes Aaron's lips, and he mutters, "Did Penny pick him up?"
JJ shakes her head gently. "No, Ms. Y/L/N, Jack's teacher, actually brought him in. She contacted Garcia, and while Garcia was ready to send someone to pick him up, Y/N decided to drive him herself."
Aaron's surprise is evident in his raised eyebrows. "Y/N? She took care of Jack?"
JJ confirms with a nod. "Yeah, apparently she's been really helpful and genuinely concerned about Jack."
Aaron's heart warms at the thought. He hadn't anticipated that Y/N would step in to help, and the gratitude he feels is undeniable. "I should thank her," he states with determination.
JJ smiles at him supportively. "I'm sure she'd appreciate that."
As they talk, Aaron's thoughts are divided between the current case and the unexpected kindness Y/N has shown to his son. He finds himself admiring her more with each passing moment, and despite the stress of their work, there's a glimmer of hope in his heart. He's beginning to see that there might be something more to their interactions, something beyond just chance meetings.
As he listens to her voice message and reads her email, a mixture of emotions swirl within Aaron. Gratitude, surprise, and a growing fondness for Y/N all mingle together, creating a unique warmth in his chest. He contemplates reaching out to her, wanting to express his appreciation, but a sense of hesitation holds him back.
He hovers over his phone, considering calling her, but then decides against it. He realizes that a call might not be entirely appropriate. Instead, he starts typing an email, carefully crafting words that convey his gratitude. But even as he types, he pauses and deletes what he wrote. A simple email doesn't feel like enough.
Closing his laptop, Aaron makes up his mind. He wants to thank Y/N in person, to show her how deeply he values her kindness toward Jack. The idea of seeing her again stirs a mixture of excitement and nervousness within him. He's determined to let her know how much her actions mean to him, face-to-face.
The night stretches on, filled with tense moments as they close in on the unsub. Finally, after hours of hard work, the case is resolved, and Aaron and the team catche their flight back home. Throughout the flight, he's anxious to return to his son, knowing that he's been through a challenging day himself.
Once back, exhaustion tugs at him, but his first priority is Jack. He quietly enters his son's room, relieved to find him sleeping soundly and no longer feverish. He gently touches Jack's forehead, a small smile forming on his lips as he watches the peaceful rise and fall of his chest.
After changing into more comfortable clothes, Aaron's thoughts turn to Y/N. He wants to express his gratitude and also, he must admit to himself, he's eager to see her again. Taking a moment to compose an email, he sends a short message, a request for a conversation.
Now in his pajamas, he walks back to Jack's room and crawls into bed with him, holding him close. His mind is filled with thoughts of Y/N, the events of the past few days swirling in his head. As he lies there, his mind replays their conversations, her kind gestures, and the way she cared for Jack. The feeling of connection and warmth he felt when he saw her smiling face flashes vividly in his mind, leaving a lingering sensation that he can't quite shake. It's a feeling that intertwines with the tenderness he feels for Jack, creating a sense of contentment that lulls him into a peaceful sleep.
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
Y/N woke up to Aaron's email, and a pit formes in her stomach. His simple question, "Are you available for a chat today?" left her feeling slightly uneasy. She had expected a message from him, maybe a thank you, but the tone of this email made her worry a little. She began to overthink – had she overstepped by driving Jack herself? She types a response, suggesting they could meet in her classroom after school around 4 pm.
As expected, Jack isn't at school today, and she hopes that he's feeling better. Y/N has a busy day at school, but she can't shake the anxious feeling in her chest throughout the day, hoping that Aaron isn't angry at her. When her last student is picked up, she tidies up her classroom a bit as she waits for Aaron to arrive. Feeling a bit suffocated, she opens a couple of windows to let in fresh air. Just then, a soft knock on the classroom door catches her attention.
"Hi Aaron, come in," she says, offering him a little nervous smile.
"Hi," he says, shaking her hand. "It's good to see you again."
"Likewise. Please, sit down," she offers him the chair in front of her table. He sits down and places the big paper bag he had with him on the ground in front of his feet. She takes a seat as well.
"Aaron, I..." she starts, her nerves getting the best of her. "So I..." They both start talking at the same time, letting out a little giggle. Aaron gestures for her to go first.
She takes a deep breath. "Aaron, I'm sorry if I overstepped," she begins nervously, her words tumbling out. "I just wanted to make sure everything was okay with Jack. I didn't want to send him off with a stranger, especially when he wasn't feeling well. I'm sorry."
He gently grabs her hand, which is on the table, and squeezes it tight but tenderly. "Woah, woah, woah. Why are you apologizing for taking care of him?"
"You're not angry?" she asks, her eyebrows furrowing in concern.
"No! Why would I be angry at you for being an amazing person?" he answers sincerely, his thumb mindlessly caressing the back of her hand.
Their hands remain intertwined for a moment longer than necessary, and the air between them is charged with unspoken emotions. As they continue to talk, the initial nervousness fades away, replaced by a sense of ease and comfort. The genuine connection they've been building grows stronger with every exchanged word, promising the potential for something more.
Aaron's gaze is unwavering as he looks at Y/N, his eyes revealing a vulnerability he rarely shows. "I need you to know something," he begins, his voice soft but firm. "Being a parent is... it's a challenge, especially on my own. I'm always concerned, always worried about Jack. I want to be there for him, to protect him, but I can't always be. Knowing that there's someone like you, someone who genuinely cares and looks out for him, it... it means the world to me."
Y/N listens to his words, her heart swelling with understanding and compassion. She can see the weight he carries as a single parent, the responsibility he feels for his son. And in his vulnerability, she sees a side of Aaron that touches her deeply.
"I'm so thankful, Y/N," he continues, his voice gentle but filled with sincerity. "For what you did yesterday, and for being a constant presence in his life at school. It eases my mind, even in the midst of all the chaos I deal with at work."
Her eyes meet his, and the tenderness in his gaze resonates with her. Their hands, still entwined, convey a sense of connection that goes beyond words. The touch feels comforting and reassuring, a silent acknowledgment of the bond they've formed in such a short time.
They sit in that moment, a mixture of vulnerability and appreciation flowing between them. The weight of his words hangs in the air, and she can feel his emotions as if they were her own. As the seconds pass, neither of them makes a move to release their grasp. It's as if they're holding onto something precious, something that has the potential to change the course of their lives.
And as they continue to talk, their eyes locked, and their hands held, they both know that this connection, this understanding, is something worth exploring further.
"This is for you," Aaron says, placing the paper bag in front of her.
"Oh, you didn't really have to," she responds, her excitement evident as she opens the bag. With anticipation, she pulls out a pink bakery box and lifts the lid. Inside, she finds an array of delicious-looking cupcakes, instantly bringing back memories of the night they first met and shared treats.
"They may not be as good as yours," he adds with a smile.
She turns the open box towards him and suggests, "Have one with me," accompanied by a big smile.
Their conversation flows effortlessly, a mix of sincere moments and playful exchanges. With each passing minute, their connection deepens, and it becomes evident that the chemistry between them isn't just a fleeting attraction. There's something more substantial, something that has the potential to grow into a meaningful bond.
As the afternoon light begins to fade, Aaron finally stands up, a reluctant expression on his face. "I should probably let you get back to your evening."
Y/N nods, a touch of disappointment in her eyes. "Yeah, it's been a long day. And you should go back to Jack."
They both stand up, and he thanks her again, shaking her hand with a goodbye.
"I’ll see you around," she says, but it sounds more like a question than a statement.
"Definitely," he promises and lets go of her hand, immediately feeling the emptiness and loss of her warmth.
He turns around to walk away, but something inside him pulls him back to her with a force that’s almost suffocating. He swiftly turns around, not even sure what he wants to say, but he's surprised when she is right behind him, following him to the door. He bumps into her, and she stumbles, but his hands immediately find her waist to steady her.
Suddenly their faces are so close, their breaths mingling in the charged space between them. The weight of their unspoken emotions hangs heavy in the air, creating an intoxicating tension. Y/N's gaze drifts up to meet Aaron's, and for a moment, the world seems to fade away, leaving only the two of them standing there. Her eyes flicker down to his lips, and in that instant, Aaron's own gaze follows hers. Their desire hovers on the precipice, ready to tip them over, but both of them hold back, their restraint only adding to the intensity of the moment.
Their eyes lock again, the electricity between them crackling like a live wire. The temptation to close the gap is overwhelming, but something keeps them rooted in place. It's as if the universe itself is holding its breath, waiting to see if they'll succumb to the pull between them.
Their hearts pound in rhythm, the tension between them a symphony of longing and uncertainty. Y/N's fingers tighten their hold on Aaron's biceps, a silent plea for him to bridge the gap that separates them. Aaron's eyes search hers, his own breath hitching as he feels her touch. He inhales deeply, his warm breath mingling with hers, bringing them impossibly closer.
With a feather-light touch, he cups her face, his thumb caressing her cheek in a gentle, hypnotic motion. The world around them seems to melt away as his hand guides her head, their noses brushing against each other. Y/N's lips part slightly as she exhales, her anticipation almost tangible. Every nerve in her body is alight, her senses attuned to the electric charge that fills the space between them. It's a dance of restraint and longing, a battle of wills and unspoken confessions. And in that charged moment, time seems to stretch, granting them a suspended eternity where the weight of their emotions hangs heavy in the air.
Their lips are a mere millimeter away from that long-awaited connection when a sudden, loud clatter from the corridor shatters the fragile bubble of tension they had woven around themselves. The abrupt intrusion jolts them back to reality, their bodies tensing as the spell is broken.
As the echoes of the noise fade, they find themselves standing apart once more, heavy breaths mingling with the suspended atmosphere. Their eyes lock for a brief, intense moment, both realizing how close they had come to crossing a line they might not have been ready to confront. Unspoken emotions swirl in the space between them, a complex mixture of longing, attraction, and the realization of consequences.
Aaron's gaze flickers away from Y/N's, his expression a mix of turmoil and restraint. He clears his throat, the words hanging unspoken for a heartbeat before he finally speaks, his voice tinged with a trace of regret. "I should... go."
Without waiting for a response, he turns and strides toward the door, his steps purposeful and quick. The classroom door closes behind him with a soft click, leaving Y/N standing alone in the dimming light, her chest heaving with the weight of the moment that had just passed between them.

Scrambled Eggs [Winchester!Sis!]
TW: Mentions of death, child abandonment/neglect, basically Sam completely abandons the reader after Dean's death (ignoring canon quite a bit, mb)
Dean didn't know where he was. He'd walked half a mile in every direction to see if he could find anything that'd give him a clue about his location, but there was nothing. He didn't have his phone on him, probably directly related to the fact that he had to claw his way up from underground. Unless some sick bastard decided to bury him alive (unfortunately more likely in his field of work than you think), then he'd died. He'd died and his younger siblings were left to bury him.
He probably would've been burned, but Y/N/N and Sammy were probably holding onto the fact that he'd come back before, so maybe he would this time, too. Y/N... he had no clue how long he'd been gone. She was only 15 when he'd apparently gone belly-up, she could be in her early twenties by now. He had no way of knowing until he saw her for himself.
He'd been wandering around for probably an hour or two, and he'd finally decided to just start yelling. "Cas!" Nothing. He cupped his hands around his mouth as if that'd make him louder. "Cas!" Still, absolutely nothing. 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵, 𝘊𝘢𝘴. 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶?
As if that was all it took to summon the angel, a bright light appeared behind him and he turned to see Castiel, still clad in his brown trench-coat. "Dean." He seemed relieved, not hesitating to embrace him, even though Dean was covered in dirt and grime. Dean gave Cas a look that told him to give him nothing but the truth. "How long have I been gone?"
"Six months. It's October 14th, now." Dean nodded. He hadn't been gone too long. He briefly considered that he may or may not have missed his little sister's sixteenth birthday. "You wanna give me a lift home?" The angel grabbed his bicep and there was a flash of light before they were standing in the main entrance to the bunker.
"Y/N?" Cas called. "I'm in the kitchen! Dinner's almost done!" Dean quirked his brow, following the angel down the stairs. "Since when does she know how to cook?" Cas glanced at him, trying to steel his expression, but Dean could tell something was up when he'd said "a few months ago" and left it at that.
"Wait here," Cas said when they were just out of view from the stove, where Y/N was making... scrambled eggs? "Eggs again?" Though Cas was posing it as a question, it seemed like he knew the answer. There was an uncomfortable silence before he heard a soft "it's all we had."
All they had? Sam hadn't taken the kid grocery shopping? "Might need more milk soon. There isn't too much left in here." She shakes carton of milk, and Dean can hear that there isn't much sloshing around in it. She tried to smile, but he could see that it was just a facade. He knew her tells, he could read her dejection. He didn't understand. 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘴 𝘚𝘢𝘮?
He was pulled out of his thoughts by a small thud and a whispered "Shit." He watched as Y/N grabbed some paper towels and dropped to her knees, sniffling as she started wiping up a puddle of milk. Before he knew what was happening, he was in front of her, taking the wad of wet paper towels from her hand. "Hey now, kiddo. No use crying over spilled milk." She stumbled back, startled, her eyes widening as she took in his face.
She stared at him, stunned, not saying anything for several heartbeats. She opened her mouth to say something, closed it, opened it again, and still said nothing. "It's me, baby. It's me. I'm here." Tears welled in her eyes as she dove at him, tightly wrapping her arms around his middle. They stayed like that for a minute, before Castiel said "Y/N, your eggs are done."
She sniffed, wiping her nose with her sleeve. "Oh, right." She stood up slowly, grabbing the pan and turning off the stovetop. She scraped some eggs onto one of the two plates she'd set out, looked back at Dean, smiled to herself and scraped some eggs onto the other plate. Cas sat to her left, and Dean moved to sit at the chair on the other side of the plate she'd set before she stopped him. "What are you doing over there? This one is for you."
Dean looked at Cas for a second, then back at his little sister. "Isn't that one for Sammy?" She shook her head, shoveling some of the food into her mouth. She ate as if she were starving, the fork barely passing her lips before it was scooping up some more egg. "She, uh, set a place for you every night." Castiel was still awkward, more than he can tend to be usually.
"For a while, it was just me and Cas. It's nice to have someone else who actually eats to sit with me. No offense, Cas." Dean dropped the fork he'd just picked up. He snaps his head between Cas and Y/N. "Just you and Cas? Alright. What the hell is going on? Where is Sam?"
Y/N swallowed, wiped her mouth and shrugged. Dean's eyes bored into Cas's skull as he waited for an answer. "He's tried to stay off-the-grid. He doesn't want to be found. He said he needed to get-" Dean cut him off. "Where is he, Cas?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dean was pissed. He didn't have his car (Sam took it with him), so Cas had to transport the three of them to the dingy apartment complex his brother was supposedly staying in. He saw Baby, got even angrier, and stormed into the building to find Sam. He banged on the door and felt Y/N's hand slip onto his own. He glanced at her, and could see that she was unsure about meeting Sam. That made him even angrier.
The door was yanked open and they were met with Sam rubbing his eyes and squinting. He immediately dropped his hand. "Dean?" Dean snapped, letting go of Y/N's hand and grabbing Sam's collar.
"What the hell, Sam? You just up and leave her the minute I'm gone? You take the car, leave her with basically nothing, and you come to this piss-shack? Did you know that she was running out of food? Probably not, you didn't bother to check on her yourself. All she had left were some God damn eggs. Cas doesn't have actual money, and she didn't have a car to go out and try to hustle whenever she was alone."
"I kept the bunker clean." She mumbled from next to him. "What was that, sweetie?" Dean turned away from screaming in Sam's face to give Y/N his full attention. "I kept the bunker clean. I know he doesn't like messes. I thought maybe he'd come back so I'd didn't want it to be messy." Dean let go of Sam's collar, and Sam rubbed his neck. "Y/N, listen-"
"No, you don't talk to her. Right now, you're talking to me. What if something got into the bunker? Something she couldn't take on alone?" Sam was sinking into himself, looking truly guilty for the first time since they'd gotten there. "You fucking left her. She was alone other than when Cas visited once every, what? Three days? I died, you bastard. I didn't get a choice in whether or not I'd leave her. You did, and you chose wrong. Fucking apologize."
"I'm sorry, Y/N. I just couldn't-" Dean grabbed his collar again. "Did I ask you to explain yourself to her? No. You'll be explaining to me, later. Let's try this again."
"I'm sorry, Y/N. I shouldn't have left you. I'm sorry."
Y/N just stared forward for a minute. "I know."
“Anything you need, you just call me, okay?” You say to the young girl, “No matter the time of day, no matter where you are or if you think you’ll be interrupting me, just call.”
“Thanks.” Eleven mutters and does her best to offer you a smile.
“You and I, we gotta stick together, El.” You pull her in for a short lived hug. “Only we know what this feels like and we gotta support each other.”
“I’ll call you. I promise,” she assures before walking over to say goodbye to her friends.
By the time the Byers’ house is empty, boxes and bags packed into the car, everyone is crying. There’s some more hugs and you watch them drive off, holding onto Nancy. Once the car is out of sight, Steve asks you both to come over, hang out with him and Robin for a bit. It’s a request you politely decline. Going through a rollercoaster of emotions this afternoon, there was only one place you truly wanted to be.
Things between Eddie and you were pretty much back to normal. Ever since the incident at Starcourt Mall, you two were inseparable. Everywhere you went, there the metalhead followed — as if he was afraid something would happen if you were apart.
Eddie only ever left you alone to sleep, but even then it was only a couple of nights a week. Convincing him to stay with you wasn’t hard, convincing him to share a bed with you was even easier, and having Eddie by your side most nights helped you not only fall asleep but also stay asleep.
The horrible dreams you had earlier this year of the Demodogs, as described to you by the kids, were nothing compared to the nightmares you had been having ever since the events from the start of July. Witnessing the horrors of the Upside Down first hand… no one could have prepared you for that. And now, almost every single night, you woke up panting or actually screaming.
The first time you had a nightmare around Eddie, you borderline gave him a heart attack. The poor boy jumped out of bed, ready to tackle whatever intruder he perceived had broken into your bedroom. What he found instead was you, sitting hunched over in your bed with tears streaming down your face.
To this day, you hadn't told the metalhead what actually happened the night of the 4th of July. You decided along with the rest of the group that it was better he didn’t know the truth. Not only was this your way of protecting him, you figured even if you did try to explain, Eddie probably wouldn’t believe you.
So you lied and said you’d been having nightmares ever since your dad died and he was kind enough not to press on the matter further.
Life with Eddie was easy, it always had been. Aside from your persistent nightmares, you quickly slipped back into your best friend dynamic and the remainder of the summer was uneventful. Only your feelings for him grew stronger. Past the platonic mark you were hovering over when you left for college; when you first kissed him.
You didn’t know how to tell him or if you should say anything in the first place. After all, you just got your friendship back to what it used to be and you sure as hell weren’t going to be the one to jeopardise that. He had the letters. He read them. There was nothing more to it.
But Eddie Munson never made anything easy for you. With his lingering touches, heartwarming stares. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think he still loved you too.
And you say “still” because, even though the metalhead never admitted it out loud, you’re ninety-nine percent sure he once did — if the kiss you shared was any indication, however contrived it may have been, under the circumstances.
“Say your goodbyes?” Eddie asks when you appear in his room. He’s sitting on his bed, legs spread out in front of him and a copy of Lord of the Rings in his hands. He sets the book to the side when you plop next to him, head instantly attaching itself to his shoulder like a magnet.
“Yeah,” you exhale, “I hate goodbyes.”
“Me too,” he mutters as he intertwines his fingers with yours. “But this time it’s for the best, you know? The girl needs to get away for a while. Honestly, I didn’t even know Hopper had a kid and then for him to just die in that fire, leaving her all alone—”
Eddie bites his tongue and glances down at you. “Let’s talk about something else,” he offers and you meet his gaze.
“Like what?”
He licks his lips, pondering the question for a moment. You can’t help but to avert your gaze to where his tongue pressed against his pretty mouth. A certain warm feeling settles in your core as you wonder what it would be like to kiss him.
“How about I read to you?”
You raise an eyebrow, but the metalhead doesn’t wait for your protest — not like he would’ve gotten one anyway. He reaches for the novel he previously set aside and opens to the desired page. He clears his throat while you settle your head back on his shoulder, patiently waiting for him to start.
“Beautiful she is, sir! Lovely! Sometimes like a great tree in flower, sometimes like a white daffadowndilly, small and slender like.” Eddie enunciates, the tone of his voice completely intoxicating.
“Hard as di’monds, soft as moonlight. Warm as sunlight, cold as frost in the stars. Proud and far-off as a snow-mountain, and as merry as any lass I ever saw with daisies in her hair in springtime…”
Every word that spills from his lips is like honey and you’re completely hooked.
“It strikes me that folk takes their peril with them into Lorien, and finds it there because they’ve brought it. But perhaps you could call her perilous, because she’s so strong in herself.”
Eddie pauses. You can sense him shift in his position ever so slightly to look at you, so you look up to meet his doe eyes, a smile creeping up on your features.
“Why did you stop? Keep going.”
He licks his lips although doesn’t say what’s on his mind. Instead, he continues with the book like you ask. “You, you could dash yourself to pieces on her, like a ship on a rock; or drownd yourself, like a hobbit in a river.”
And as he reads, you start to zone out. You can feel yourself drift away. The soothing sound of his voice is putting you to sleep, but just as your eyes are about to close, you hear something.
“But neither rock nor river would be to blame—”
You press your index finger to Eddie’s mouth, getting him to stop. He’s clearly puzzled, quickly taking it in his hand, moving it to the side, only so slightly since the sensation of your skin against his lips makes his heart skip a beat. But he doesn’t dwell on the feeling, afraid to ruin things when they’ve just gotten good, instead shooting you a quizzical look.
“Thought you wanted me to keep going, princess.”
You ignore him. “Can you hear that?”
Eddie’s silent for a split second. Then he says, “Oh, that’s just Wayne. He must have the radio on.”
“Yeah, obviously. I’m talking about the song that’s playing.”
The two of you shift your attention to the door separating Eddie’s bedroom from the remainder of the trailer, though still holding onto one another in some way. The physical touch making up for time lost, you tell yourself, but the reason is clearly much different.
Now that you’re both completely quiet, the unmistakable voice of Janis Joplin seeps in through the small crack. ‘From the Kentucky coal mine to the California sun. There Bobby shared the secrets of my soul.’
You look back at each other almost in an instant and Eddie chuckles, your own giggle follows shortly after. Lighthearted and pure. The situation isn’t necessarily funny, but in this moment, you are both so happy to simply be around each other, the laughter engulfs you whole. And as you’re laughing, you’re inclining even closer to one another.
Then the laughter dies down.
Eddie’s cupping your cheek while your fingers wrap around his wrist, holding him in place. His nose slides down the side of yours and his lips are inches away as they part. Yet it’s not until his hot breath sends a shiver down your spine that you realise what’s about to happen, and more importantly, how much you want it. You’re practically aching with anticipation.
Eddie’s got this look in his eyes, dark and needy. His pupils dilate the longer he stares and it makes you think he wants you too, desperately. You inhale softly, mind racing ‘cause this is a line that you only crossed once back in November and ever since then, you’ve been dancing around the topic, unspoken, untouched. Crossing it again had many possible outcomes — all equally terrifying and exhilarating.
His gaze drops to your lips and your heart flutters in your chest.
“Can I kiss you?”
It’s a whisper, but you hear it as loud as screaming. The question rattles through every fibre of your being and you nod, once, twice. Slow and steady, as you open your mouth to give him a verbal answer.
But before you get a chance, there’s a knock on Eddie’s bedroom door and he drops his hand from your face instantly before pulling away. He clears his throat and suddenly you’re hyper-aware of your surroundings ‘cause he slides off the bed completely avoiding eye contact, completely avoiding the question he’s just asked.
“Yeah?” Eddie calls out, getting up on his feet.
Wayne bops his head in, not fully opening the door. He glances between the two of you, a knowing smirk circling his moustache-covered lips, before his eyes settle on his nephew.
“Headin’ out for a little while. Need anythin’?”
Eddie says no, answering for the two of you. Wayne nods his head and following a swift goodbye, telling you both to be good, he disappears just as fast as he made his appearance. Door closing with a gentle thud.
An awkward silence settles in the air once you are alone with the metalhead again.
Eddie scratches the back of his neck, gaze settling on the hem of your skirt, where the material ends and your bare leg starts. He swallows his breath, Adam’s apple bobbing. You watch your best friend attentively, afraid of being the first one that speaks. Afraid of asking what’s on his mind, if he wants to continue what you both started before you were unexpectedly interrupted.
That’s not to say the metalhead also wasn’t spinning out, ‘cause he most definitely was. His quiet demeanour was specifically to cover up the fact that he didn’t know what to say now that the moment was gone. 'Cause it was gone... right?
Can I kiss you?, his earlier question rattles inside his brain. Eddie thinks you would’ve said yes, after all, you were nodding. But if he asked again now, would you still want to do it? Would you let him kiss you?
Jesus, why was he so bad at this.
“Uhm,” he sighs, leaning against the edge of his desk. “I-I… Fuck, princess, I-I don’t want to do anything to ruin what we just got back.”
He finally looks up to meet your gaze. “I really, really don’t.”
“I don’t either, Eds.” You say to him and hope he can detect the honesty in your voice, knees now pressed to your chest, arms wrapped tightly around them. “We lost a lot of time.”
“That we did,” he agrees.
“I feel guilty about it.”
“Me too.”
He stares at you, brown-eyes full of sorrow. Your heart aches at the sad, puppy-dog face he’s sporting. All you want is to reach for him, but you’re frozen in place. Glued to the bed, holding your own limbs. And it’s moments like these that make you want to take back everything that’s happened this last year. The kiss, the fight, the months of not speaking. Take back the things that have now become topics you haven’t really talked about. Topics that you both brushed over, then brushed under the carpet.
You know it’s bad to hold shit in, but avoidance has been a third-party in your friendship with Eddie pretty much from day one.
“So, what do you wanna do, princess?” Eddie asks, hopeful.
“We can just take it day by day, I guess. I mean, I know how I feel about you,” you answer honestly, “I also know that it’s a scary world out there and I’d rather have you as just a friend than nothing at all.”
A smile breaks through the brunette’s features. He stumbles forward, settling back on the bed next to you with a small bounce. He reaches for your hand, forcing his fingers between your knuckles and squeezing gently. You tilt your head and he matches your movements, pretty eyes meeting yours.
“I know how I feel about you too, princess.”
-sprawled facedown across the dash, reaching feebly for a steaming cup of coffee and a paper cup of headache pills-
The Halloween Hangover is REAL, y'all.
That being said, we did get some trick-or-treaters and my candy offerings met with great approval. (I made sure to get the good stuff and to have options for the kids who can't have / don't like chocolate, peanuts, or milk.) There were a lot of area Trunk or Treat events this week and I think several families went to some of the larger neighborhoods, but I was still so pleased to be handing out sweets in my own house for the first time. And I got to sit and watch my favorite Halloween movies afterward.
Also, DID YOU KNOW that wards can last longer when you own/steward the land you live on and they're sealed with blood and iron? Who knew! I checked them last night, as I do prior to every year's recasting and damned if they weren't still mostly intact and solid in all the necessary places. All I had to do was patch and mend and sort of freshen things up a bit. Probably helps that the last casting was in January just before we moved in (and I went HARD), but still. I'm used to the old apartment, where I had to ward a floating cube instead of a property with naturally-occurring options for anchoring, and every October, things would be halfway in tatters when I did the recasting.
Of course this is all speculation and most likely doesn't hold true for every witch or every home. But I did notice a MARKED difference this year. I'll still do a checkup in a few weeks to see if there's anything I missed, just for due diligence.
Anyway...hope you all had a wonderful holiday and that your hangovers (if you have them) will be brief and easily managed. 😅
I set myself a goal to have this fic finished and postedon ao3 by Halloween. As you can tell, I have failed miserably since it's neither finished or posted. In my defense, my hands were in much more pain than usual for most of October and so far November's not looking so great either.
Still, I feel kind of shitty about missing my goal, so I decided to post the first couple of scenes here. This fic is part of the Hawkins Halfway House series and we'll be meeting Billy in it. Enjoy!
Eddie was enjoying a quiet, little Horrors-free day with House. He’d dropped off Max and the Sinclair siblings with Steve in the morning since they hadn’t been able to hang out with Dustin and El for longer than any of the little Horrors deemed acceptable. El had been living with Steve for about a year now, and Dustin nearly twice that long. The transition hadn’t been as painful as expected but the kids were not used to being apart from each other, so an arrangement was reached that every other weekend, the kids could spend the night together either at House or at Junior.
This weekend, the kids had opted to stay at Junior with Steve. Depending on how things went, they might stay longer seeing as the kids were on some extended human holiday weekend as of the night before. If that happened, then Eddie planned on having some slow lazy mornings. However, it was now past lunchtime and he really needed to restock their stores of red meat, thanks to the pair of werewolf cubs in his care. He had very quickly become the local butcher’s favorite customer because of them.
Eddie had just about convinced himself to get going and be a responsible adult when the phone rang. Eddie made his way over to where House decided to keep the phone hooked up this week. He leaned against the wall, already fiddling with the phone cord, as he answered.
“Hawkins Halfway–”
“EDDIE,” Dustin screeched over the phone. “You have to come over right now. Steve is DYING.”
“What?” Eddie asked, bolting upright from where he had slouched. He heard the voices of the other kids over the line.
“He is bleeding. Blood should stay inside humans,” El said seriously.
“Bleeding? Where? What happened?” Eddie asked, resting the phone between his shoulder and ear to free up his hands. He got a bit tangled in the cord in his hurried searching of his pockets for his keys.
“Guys,” Steve’s voice broke through. “Guys, I’m fine. Oh god, Dustin, who are you calling? What did I say about using the phone? Junior, what did I tell you about letting the kids use the phone?”
“This IS an emergency!” Dustin protested, loudly.
“There’s so much blood,” Lucas could be heard in the background. “It’s like that time I ate a rabbit just before the moon set.”
“See, Eddie? HE’S DYING!” Dustin shouted directly into the receiver.
“You called Eddie? Dustin, give me the phone,” Steve said. After a brief scuffle, and what sounded like the handset being dropped to the ground only to get hastily picked up, Steve was speaking directly. His voice sounded funny. “Eddie, hi!”
“What happened? Dustin thinks you’re dying,” Eddie said.
“I’m fine! Nobody’s dying,” Steve said. Then, presumably to the kids, “Give me some room, I don’t want to drip on any of you.”
“Steve, are you bleeding?” Eddie asked, his worry mixing with irritation.
“Yeah, but I’m okay. It’s a bloody nose,” Steve said, which explained why he sounded weird.
“And a bloody mouth,” Lucas added.
“His eye’s busted up, too!” Erica said loud enough for Eddie to hear.
“Yes, thank you for that,” Steve said to the kids in that bitchy tone Eddie secretly enjoyed hearing. “Go watch some TV while I talk to Eddie. I promise I won’t fall over dead.”
“I’m coming over,” Eddie decided out loud.
“You don’t have to, honestly, the kids are freaking out over nothing,” Steve insisted.
“You’re due for a home inspection anyway. See you in ten.”
Eddie hung up before Steve could protest.
Eddie didn’t have a chance to knock on the door before it slammed open and he was swarmed by the kids.
“He’s in the kitchen,” Lucas told him.
“We couldn’t remember how much blood humans are supposed to keep inside,” El said.
“Yeah, so Dustin freaked out,” Erica snorted derisively.
Dustin started to argue that his concern was legitimate, but Eddie pushed past all of them to get to the kitchen. There, Eddie nearly swallowed his tongue because Steve was indeed in the kitchen. Shirtless. And bent over the sink. The steam rising from the running water dampened his chest hair and made his skin dewy. The muscles in Steve’s arms flexed distractingly as he scrubbed almost violently at a bloodied shirt.
Eddie didn’t have much time to enjoy the view because as soon as he finished processing the vision, he caught sight of Steve’s face. He immediately understood why the children panicked. Steve’s face was a mess. Steve had done his best to clean up most of the blood, but his nostrils were still rimmed with some, and the split lip started to bleed again when Steve looked up at Eddie. The skin around his eye was puffy and bruised.
“It looks worse than it is,” Steve said immediately. “No concussion!”
Eddie covered the distance in a few long strides. He reflexively reached out to touch Steve’s face, then pulled back when he realized what he’d been about to do. Eddie had been adamantly ignoring the small crush he was harboring for his kids’ foster parent. Unfortunately, it meant he had to forcibly ignore opportunities to touch Steve as much as possible. In this case, it resulted in Eddie fluttering his hands uselessly around Steve.
“What happened?”
“First, you should know that I handled it and I was already planning on calling you to give you a rundown of the situation. I wanted to clean myself up a bit before calling but that didn’t go as planned, obviously.”
“Steve.”
“I’m fine, really. I’m more worried about Max.” At Steve’s words, Eddie’s whole body tensed.
“What happened to Max?” Eddie asked before it occurred to him, “She wasn’t with the other kids. Where is she?”
“She ran to her room as soon as we got home. She’s kind of shaken up. I haven’t had the chance to talk to her about what happened because the others saw me and were freaking out the whole ride home.”
“I can talk to her,” Eddie said immediately. Steve nodded as if he hadn’t expected anything different, and began to explain what happened.
“I took the kids to the park nearby to burn off some energy before dinner,” Steve said. “Max stayed in the parking lot because she wanted to practice using her skateboard.”
While Steve spoke, Eddie maneuvered himself around the familiar kitchen. He grabbed a clean kitchen towel and dug out an icepack from the freezer. After wrapping it up, he handed it to Steve, who delicately placed it over his eye.
Steve continued to explain how he made sure he settled in a spot that would give him a good view of both the parking lot and the playground. Everything had been going well. All the kids were having fun, although Max had tumbled a couple of times while trying to find her balance on the skateboard. Then Steve had been distracted.
Erica had gotten a bit too into a game of chase. She had started to get a little wolfy around the edges. Lucas had immediately shielded her from view by throwing his hoodie at her face. Steve guided her a farther away from the playground to somewhere more quiet and secluded to give her a moment to calm down. Once she had collected herself, she and Steve rejoined everyone at the playground. Steve had given the playground a quick lookover to make sure everyone was still accounted for, but when he’d looked for Max over at the parking lot, a man was with her.
Steve had been too far away to hear what the man was saying, but the man was way too close to her. Max had frozen in place. If the unknown man approaching her hadn’t been alarming enough, seeing her freeze like that set off all sorts of bells. While Max wasn’t Steve’s foster kid, he knew her well enough by now to know that, when cornered, Max's first instinct was to fight, not flee or freeze.
“I ran over there as soon as I saw what was happening,” Steve told Eddie, as if Eddie would ever doubt him. Steve had a protective streak to rival a werewolf. “By the time I got to them, he had grabbed her by the arm.”
Steve had shoved the man away from her the moment he had gotten within reach. From there it had devolved into a fistfight that left Steve in his current state. Thankfully the other kids were too wrapped up in their playground games to realize what was happening at the time but one of the other parents at the playground had seen and used the nearby payphone to call the police. The cops showed up to break up the fight. As far as Steve was aware, the man who had grabbed Max was taken away by the cops. They took some statements from witnesses, but Steve, to Eddie’s utter lack of surprise, insisted on going home with his kids rather than going down to the station.
Eddie was grateful for that. He had seen how cops treat people they consider less than human, even when they didn't have an ounce of supernatural blood in them. Little Horrors in distress were not always great at keeping their human faces on.
Once Steve finished updating Eddie, he went to reassure the other kids while Eddie made his way to see Max. Eddie had barely stepped into the guest room Junior had made for Max before Max shot to her feet. She was very pale, made even more apparent by the dark red feathers that had sprouted through her hair and along her face. Her hands were rough and clawed.
“He found me,” Max said. “Billy found me. He tried to take me away.”
Eddie swore under his breath. It was just as he had suspected. He didn't think the cops would hold Billy for very long. He had to start planning a defense but first, he wanted to comfort Max, offer some reassurance. He stepped closer to her but slowed his movements at Max’s flinch. Instead, he redirected and leaned against the dresser close to Max. Her jaw was tense. She crossed her arms, clutching at her elbows.
“But he didn’t,” Eddie said firmly. “You’re still here. Steve stopped him and you’re safe.”
Max’s breath hitched.
“Is…is Steve mad at me?” Her claws dug into fabric at the elbows of her hoodie, nervously shredding it. “I have my backpack in the closet. I can leave. If he’s mad.”
“What? No, no, no, Max, Steve’s not mad at you. He’s worried, but he’d never get mad at you for something like this.”
Her voice dropped to a shamed whisper.
“But Billy hurt him so bad. He broke Steve’s face,” her breath hitched again, but she had yet to break into tears. It hurt Eddie to see her try so hard to keep it together. “It's all my fault, he’s going to be so mad.”
“Max Mayfield, listen to me,” Eddie said fiercely. “None of this is your fault. This is all on that hunter. Steve doesn’t blame you and he’s not mad at you.”
She gnawed at her lip, eyes cast down. She didn't believe him, he could tell.
"Billy's going to come back. He’ll hurt Steve again," Max said.
"If that happens, and I'm not saying it will!" Eddie said. Though he knew she was right about Billy. Billy was a stubborn, possessive, and angry man. "But if it does, it still wouldn't be your fault. He's a grown up making his own awful decisions, okay?"
"Okay," she said despondently, though she no longer sounded like she would break into tears.
"I need to let Steve know what to expect but he'll probably come up here after to check on you if you're okay with it."
Max nodded jerkily, not looking at him. Eddie suppressed a sigh. Max had been making so much progress, opening herself up more to others and getting attached to things that interested her. If Eddie hadn’t hated Billy already, the sight Max retreating into herself again because of his reappearance would’ve done it.
"Do you want to be alone? Or do you want some of your friends up here with you?" Eddie asked.
Max shrugged. Eddie glanced over at the unmade bed. The underneath looked darker than it probably should be. He smiled tentatively at Max.
"I think El is already under the bed, so if you want to be alone…"
An oozing black tendril squirmed out from underneath the bed to wrap gently around Max's ankle. Some of the stress that pinched Max’s expression eased at the touch. She easily dropped to the ground and scooched into the cramped space beneath the bed.
“You are safe, Max,” El’s voice hissed from the dark space.
Eddie left the room and closed the door quietly behind him. It was time to fill Steve in on some things he had hoped would never come up.
Precious little moments (Levi Ackerman x Reader)
Word count: 1 430
Disclaimer: english is not my first language, I apologize in advance for any mistakes
Summary: Dad Levi has been on my mind a lot lately so... 😅
Tumblr media
Precious little moments
„So, what do you think about today? Was it worth all the trouble? All the crying while getting ready?“ you asked Levi, who was holding your hand while you walked through a pumpkin patch in the direction of your car. Your newborn daughter was contently sleeping in the baby carrier on her father's chest, snuggled up under his coat.
„It was nice, I have to admit,“ Levi said and squeezed your hand, running his thumb over your knuckles.
Having a baby was still something new to both of you. No books or antenatal classes could prepare you for everything parenthood was about. Even after four weeks since your daughter was born, both you and Levi were still learning.
„I was so excited for this. Experiencing the holiday season with her for the very first time.“
Levi chuckled quietly, making your heart melt when he looked down at his daughter and kissed the top of her head – it was covered in silky black hair just like his. She was wearing a cute orange bow with a little pumpkin in the middle. „She came just in time for her mother's favorite spooky season,“ he said and looked at you with so much love in his pale grayish-blue eyes.
„I can't wait to put her in that pumpkin onesie Hange brought her yesterday. She's going to be so cute.“
Your best friend shared your love for the Halloween season. Hange's house turned into a spooky kingdom every single year and you loved helping them with decorating and setting everything up for Halloween night. However, this year everything was much different. When Hange started decorating like their life depended on it, you were just about to give birth. After that, your hands were full every second of the day because being a new mom was more challenging than you expected.
But you had no reason to panic or feel overwhelmed. Not when Levi was by your side and helped you with every single thing. He even took over decorating your own house a little because he knew that you would be sad if you missed your favorite season.
„To be honest, I was looking forward to days like this one.“
A smile made its way to your lips. „Really?“ you asked Levi.
You really had a beautiful afternoon together as a family. The weather was still fairly nice, chilly just enough to give these last few October days the right atmosphere. It was the perfect opportunity to get out of the house and enjoy one of the most beautiful aspects of the autumn season.
Going to a pumpkin patch was yours and Levi's little tradition. Even if life got busy, you found time for this activity every single year. But this time it was way more special thanks to your baby, who Levi fell in love with the moment he saw her. Just a few hours after birth, she was already her father's precious little girl.
„It was nice while it was only the two of us, but having her here just makes everything... I don't know, more enjoyable?“ He shrugged and put his free arm around his daughter protectively.
„I love seeing you as a father. It suits you,“ you said happily and leaned over to kiss his cheek lovingly.
The pumpkin patch was full of people just like you. Everybody was enjoying the bright autumn sun and the overall atmosphere. Kids were running and playing around, while their parents were watching, picking out pumpkins, or enjoying a nice fall snack or drink.
The calmness which could be felt in the air all around, made you feel so at ease with life as it was right at that moment. You felt so grateful for having the opportunity to spend such a beautiful time with your own little family.
„She'll be running around here next year just like that kid over there,“ Levi said after a moment, looking at a young family nearby. Their little boy seemed to be around a year old and he was already walking nicely on his own.
„And you'll be right behind her to make sure she's not going to hurt herself,“ you said jokingly and nudged his side playfully.
„Tch, of course I will. Kids are a disaster when they start walking. Always falling and getting dirty.“
You laughed and took one last look over the festive pumpkin patch before you headed to the car. It was time to head home since Levi's mom was coming over for dinner. And although Kuchel told you not to worry about the food, you wanted to cook something delicious for her. She's been a huge help since you and Levi became parents. It seemed that being a grandmother was all she was ever missing from her life.
„What should I cook for your mom?“ you asked Levi and helped him get the baby out of the carrier.
She cried a little when she suddenly didn't feel her father's warmth but calmed down as soon as Levi held her in his arms again, rocking her to sleep before putting her into the car seat. Little moments like this made you sure that giving Levi a baby was the best thing you could have ever done. He has been a natural since day one. Somehow, he always knew what your little angel needed and was able to calm her down within seconds.
„Nothing, she wants to cook for us tonight,“ Levi said and kissed your daughter's chubby little cheek. She was watching him from the car seat, still holding one of his fingers with her little hand. „Now, you have to let go, angel. Otherwise, I can't drive us home,“ he said to the baby, looking at her tenderly.
„Go sit in the back with her, I'll drive,“ you said after a moment and kissed both him and your daughter.
„We're going to spoil her like this.“
„Yeah, with love and care. How horrible,“ you laughed.
Levi smirked over your comment and got into the back seat next to your daughter, who thanks to that stayed quiet the entire ride home. And to be honest, you were enjoying your time behind the wheel. The sun was slowly setting, painting the sky with the most beautiful shades of gold and orange. From both sides, the road was guarded by tall trees in colors such as green, yellow, orange, red, and brown. They truly looked like from a perfect autumn fairytale. It was almost a shame when you finally arrived home.
The front porch of your house was decorated nicely every single year. Although Levi hated carving pumpkins, he couldn't say no to you and your cute pleading smile. This year he carved eight pumpkins by himself and hung up the witch with her flying broom over the stairs. He also put out the two little light-up ghost statues you got last year in a big sale after Halloween was over.
Making you happy was one of Levi's top priorities so he usually went along with every crazy idea you had. Sometimes with a little lecturing but still.
„This was very nice. Our first little trip as a family,“ you sighed contently when you parked the car. „We didn't go far but that doesn't matter. It was still very much needed in my opinion.“ When Levi didn't say anything, you turned around to look at him.
He was so focused on your daughter that he didn't even notice you talking to him. His eyes were lingering over her sleeping face, his thumb still in a firm grip of her tiny hand. At that moment you wondered if Levi ever looked this calm and in love before. Becoming a father gave him new confidence and made him softer in the best way possible. To others, he was the same stoic person as before. But when he was with you and your daughter, he truly seemed like a brand new man.
„Darling...“ you said after another moment, trying to gain his attention. „You okay?“
He nodded without saying a word, leaning down and kissing the top of the baby's head. Only then he looked at you, a truly calm and relaxed expression on his handsome face.
„She's really all we needed to make our lives even better,“ he said after a while and reached for your hand. „Thank you.“
You took his hand and squeezed it reassuringly, trying to keep your emotions in check. This truly was all you ever wanted. Giving yourself and Levi a life full of happiness and precious little moments like this one.
Addicted to you Chp.20
Pairing: Minchan (mention of OT8)
Word Count: 5443
Summary: Back in public Minho tries to build up the courage to open up about what really happened without revealing too much. His friends support him every step of the way, hearing some things for the first time as well. Chan has to decide how open he really wants to be and walks the fine line of supporting his boyfriend and keeping their relationship a secret. Especially after Minho's first performance doesn't go as planned.
Warnings/Tags: angst, fluff, panic attack, mention of throwing up, dizziness, anxious!min, protective!chan
A/N: Looking back at this series, this is by far one of my most cherished chapters. Not only has the group learned to stick together when one of them isn't exactly stable, but also Chan and Minho finally pull at the same string. I love how the growth in both of them has been visible for you guys and I do hope this chapter proves it once more. We're almost at the end, which makes me a little nostaglic because chapter one was one of my first posts back in October (we haven't missed a week🤭). I hope you enjoy it, I'll see you next week for the last one (sobbing)🖤
All I know is you saved me and you know it Saved me and you know it Always thought I was hard to love ' Til you made it seem so easy Easy ~ Camila Cabello
During dinner, Chan's hand kept slipping beneath the table, resting on Minho's thigh or grabbing his hand. Now that he knew, he wondered how he hadn't realized Felix and Changbin were acting the same way he and Minho had been. The secret glances, hands brushing against each other in passing, the soft smiles they shared when no one was watching. Jisung suddenly got everyone's attention. "As we all know, we have two couples amongst our group," he announced, quiet enough only for them to hear. "The funniest part about it is Chan and Changbin thinking they've been discreet, whilst Minho and Felix knew damn well the opposite is the case."
Seungmin blinked at Chan. "You thought what? You've been drooling over Minho since we debuted."
"Don't even start," their leader sighed heavily and hung his head, not noticing Minho's surprised glance.
“As you all know, the rest of us have our own thing going on,” Jisung added.
"See? No reason to panic about telling the kids," Minho told Chan kindly and patted his back. "We're all grownups here."
"Are we, though?" Felix giggled.
"Now that we all know, no one has to sneak around the house anymore to be with one another," Seungmin concluded Jisung's announcement.
"Amen," Felix agreed.
"Fuck me. The house is gonna turn into a mess," Chan sighed and buried his face in his hands.
"You think you're the only one allowed to have fun?" Jeongin asked sassily. He received a warning glare from his leader. “Also, what makes you think it wasn’t a mess before you knew?”
"I could use a drink," Minho announced cheerfully and waved over a waiter. "Anyone else? I'm paying."
Chan chuckled softly and agreed. He could use one himself. Once everyone seemed to busy themselves with side conversations, Chan leaned a little closer to Minho. "You're so pretty, it's unreal," he whispered in his ear. Minho blushed softly.
"Stop it," he chuckled.
"I mean it. I've never seen someone as beautiful as you," he confessed and watched him bite his lower lip. Right, praises were something he had a thing for. "My beautiful kitten."
Minho gasped softly, his pupils widening at the pet name. "Channie, stop," he whispered lovingly. "Not here."
"Why not?" he asked, smirking softly.
“You know damn well why not,” he rolled his eyes fondly.
-
Minho stared at his plate, pushing its contents from left to right for the thousandth time. He was feeling incredibly sick because he was so nervous about their press conference in a few hours.
"Minho hyung? Aren't you hungry?" Jisung asked gently. Minho snapped out of his thoughts.
He realized all of them were staring at him and smiled weakly, pushing his plate away. "I'm too anxious right now," he admitted as he reached for his water. But as he brought it closer to his lips, his grip around his glass got tighter as he noticed his hand trembling.
"Can we do anything to help?" Felix spoke up next to him softly.
"I don't think so," he shook his head and chewed on his lower lip. "I guess now that it's time, I'm scared there'll be consequences for you guys. It’s not exactly a great way to kick off promotions."
"Whatever it is, we'll stand behind you, Min," Chan assured him.
Minho met his eyes across the table and smiled weakly. "Are you saying this as my boyfriend or the leader of this group?"
"Minho," Chan said softly.
"You should put the group first today, Chan. We both know that," he told him kindly. Chan lowered his gaze at the table for a moment. "I'm not afraid of the consequences because I know if I keep going like this, it'll end much worse for me,” he told them and rubbed his face tiredly. “I just don’t want you all to suffer from the news.”
"They either get all eight of us or none of us," Changbin spoke up.
"I'm sick of people trying to separate us," Hyunjin agreed.
"We have your back, Minho hyung. There's nothing they can do about that," Seungmin agreed.
"Fuck them all," Jeongin concluded with a grin.
"Even if we didn’t worry about the consequences, Chan doesn't function without you..as we all saw repeatedly," Jisung commented dryly.
“Thanks, Hannie,” Chan gently rolled his eyes.
Minho chuckled softly at all of them and rolled his eyes playfully. "When you put it that way, what's there to worry about."
Felix smiled and looked at him. "Can we give you a hug?"
"Fine," he sighed softly, secretly longing for nothing else than some physical comfort right now. He got up, and all of them gathered around him in a big group hug. Minho smiled softly and buried his face in Chan's chest as the warmth of his members finally gave him some comfort. "I love you guys," he told them after a moment. "I'm sorry for all that shit I'm putting you through currently."
"Stop it, Minho hyung. We all have rough moments being in this industry," Changbin comforted him.
"That's why there are seven others who have our back at all times," Hyunjin agreed.
Once they reached their destination and had to enter the room where they'd be interviewed, Minho felt nauseous all over again. The staff would possibly kill him, or maybe he'd just get in serious trouble. Their names were announced, and they all left his side one by one, taking their places. Minho's stomach turned once more as he saw his place. Changbin, Hyunjin, Chan, Seungmin, and Jeongin were sitting on higher chairs in the back in that order. Felix was in the front row on the left, Jisung on the right, and the place in their midst was empty. They weren’t joking when they said they'd always be around him, protecting him. Minho's stage name was announced and he gave himself a mental push before walking out on stage, putting on a perfectly convincing, practiced smile. He sat down and nervously adjusted his suit jacket.
They started out easy with some general questions about their next comeback, upcoming concerts, and already published songs. Minho didn't have to talk much and was able to fool around with the boys a little. He carefully adjusted his glasses as an interviewer called his name.
"You've been on a break recently after collapsing on stage. Our readers are wondering what you think about said event and how you plan to continue?" she asked, looking at him expectantly.
"As my team has already explained, I was injured and overworked at the event in question, which is why I collapsed and-," Minho stopped in his tracks, realizing this was the moment. He shouldn't just answer with the scripted version of what the staff had written up for him in case of such a question. He cleared his throat and straightened up. "Actually, I would like to make my own statement if you allow me to."
"Please go on," she encouraged him.
"About two months before this performance, my mental health was starting to get worse. I had trouble taking care of and trusting in myself. It got better whenever I was around my members. At some point, I defined myself through my performance only. When I got injured, I had to take a step back, which made this much harder for me. I got into a massive fight with one of the most important people in my life, which really took a toll on me," Minho said and saw some staff members in the back looking at each other nervously. "I had trouble eating, I didn't get enough sleep, and I practiced too much and too long. Because of that, my injury got worse, and I let it happen, thinking the pain I felt was the punishment I deserved for not being able to perform. I was awful to be around, and I didn’t treat the ones I call my family well, pushing them away when all they wanted was to help. I didn't have the resources to be there for them because I barely had any left for myself, which I'm very sorry for," he continued as pictures were taken of him, and he knew there were live recordings as well.
No going back now.
"I didn't collapse because I was injured or tired. My mental health and body couldn't keep up with what I was doing anymore. I've spent two days unconscious at the hospital, which is what made my members decide I needed to take a break. I don't regret collapsing because I wouldn't have stopped this harmful behavior otherwise and-," he stopped as his voice started shaking and swallowed hard, trying to collect himself. Suddenly, Felix took his hand and smiled at him encouragingly while Jisung rested his hand on his knee. Chan followed his heart and wrapped his arms around him from behind, ensuring he knew they were there. Minho inhaled softly and rested his hand on Chan's arm, steadying himself. "I know I’ll make myself vulnerable by saying this, but I think it's important we start normalizing that your beloved idols are humans, too. This is why I want to announce that after everything that happened, I’ve decided to see a therapist. I'm not ashamed of it, and if I want to keep being part of this family and doing my best for our fans, I need to take care of myself better," he concluded and exhaled softly.
"We want to announce that we stand behind Minho and fully support his decision. We ask our fans to show our Minho how much he means to us all and how much he is worth. Please be patient with us during this process," Chan spoke up behind him, noticing how much Minho was shaking, glancing at the staff. "Thank you so much for being here. This will be all for today."
They all got up, making sure to surround Minho as they left the stage. Minho felt dizzy and flinched a little as suddenly two of their press advisors approached them, saying his name. They seemed ready to call him out for his shit. Chan wrapped his arm around him protectively and told them to back off, not caring that reporters were still taking pictures. Finally, they made it backstage. Chan stepped in front of him, removing his microphone for him. "Give me a moment," he mumbled as his stomach protested, quickly pushing through them and making his way to the bathroom. He ripped the door open to one of the stalls and crouched down, throwing up. All the anxiety and nervousness got to him, combined with the realization that, for the first time, he did the opposite of what he had been advised to do. Once his stomach had calmed down, Minho carefully pushed himself up and sniffled softly, trying to swallow a panic attack threatening to creep in. He pushed the door open and slowly stepped outside, flinching heavily as he saw his friends standing at the sink, all watching him worriedly. "I can't even throw up in peace?" he joked tiredly and made his way over to a sink, shakily turning on the water. He rinsed his mouth and washed his hands, thanking Hyunjin quietly, who gave him some paper towels.
"Do you feel better after telling the truth?" Seungmin asked.
"I'm glad it's not a secret anymore," he told them, leaning against the sink. "But besides that, no. I'm a minute away from a full-blown panic attack," he admitted, knowing there was no use hiding it. He leaned forward, bracing himself on his knees and inhaling shakily. "They'll kill me, won't they?"
Jisung was the first one to react and stepped in front of him. "Deep breaths, Minho hyung. You'll be okay." He hugged him as he stood up straight again and soothingly rubbed his back. The others let them, knowing Jisung often found comfort in Minho when he was panicking, so it fit for him to try and return the favor. Jeongin grabbed a few paper towels, made them wet, and wrung them out before carefully placing them on the back of Minho's neck. Felix stepped next to them and gently ran his hand through his hair as Jisung guided Minho in his breathing.
Once he had calmed down, Chan took over, pulling him into a tight hug and planting a soft kiss on his forehead. "I'm so proud of you. That was very brave."
"I don't feel very brave right now," he gave back, making his friends chuckle. He barely noticed Changbin removing the paper towels from his neck and leaning his forehead against Chan's. "Let's go back to the hotel, please?"
“We could stay in for the night and order takeout,” Jeongin proposed. “We’ll just meet up in one room and order there.”
Minho smiled thankfully and nodded. “That would be nice.”
-
"May we ask what sent you down the spiral of mental issues?" their interviewer spoke up, clearly talking to Minho. They were currently at a radio station, giving an interview about their upcoming album. Of course, the press conference from yesterday would be a topic; Minho had expected nothing less.
Minho shifted in his seat and thought for a moment. He was aware of the camera moving a little closer on him as they’d also film and upload the whole session. "As I've said, the hate, the injury, lack of sleep, and slowly stop eating altogether have all played their part in this process. It’s been weeks of feeling like shit, and I’m glad I got through the worst of it by now."
“Many of our listeners thought it was very brave of you to open up like that since we usually don’t see this happening,” she told him with a kind smile. “That must’ve been scary.”
“It was. It still is,” he chuckled, and Jisung flashed him a gentle smile across the table. He knew how it was.
“Nevertheless, most people out there are very grateful you did that. How does that make you feel?” she asked curiously.
“It’s a relief to hear that people can relate to my situation and don’t look down on me because of it. Also, if me opening up about my struggles helps someone, I don’t get why it is an issue to do so,” he said.
“I think a lot of people out there can relate to the feeling of trying to function when you actually feel like giving up,” Felix added.
“We’ve all been there before,” Seungmin agreed. “Maybe not as heavily, but we’ve all certainly had our struggles in the industry.”
“I think what made it so difficult was seeing Minho hyung go through it,” Hyunjin said gently. “Usually, we come to him with these issues, so no one really knew how to help.”
“Which didn’t stop them from trying, though,” Minho said reassuringly, smiling at him. “I just haven’t been so easy to deal with.”
“How has this situation been for you as a leader?” she asked, turning to Chan, sitting beside Minho quietly.
“Oh, he struggled the most with it,” Changbin answered for him, and they all chuckled. “Minho’s always been his partner in leading the team with him.”
“That was certainly missed, yeah,” Chan laughed, winking at Minho. "I realized how much I rely on him in certain areas and I know I should've stepped up more."
"What about that fight you mentioned? Was it with one of the members or someone else?" she asked Minho.
"That was me," Chan spoke up before Minho could answer. "I've been very difficult to deal with, and Minho didn't give up on me, which made things grow tense. I've accused him of complete bullshit to save myself and been very harsh towards him, which didn’t help him deal with his own issues."
"But, we’ve all talked it out and are doing better than ever," Minho added with a nervous smile.
"I hope you don’t mind me asking, but what do you mean you were difficult to deal with?" she asked. Everyone grew quiet for a moment, tension slowly rising at the question. She glanced at them, apologetically. “You don’t have to answer that if you don’t want to.”
“No, it’s okay,” he assured her with a warm smile and exchanged a look with Minho, who looked back at him questioningly. “I’m just trying to figure out how to start.”
“You don’t have to go in depth,” Minho assured him gently.
Chan inhaled softly before grabbing his hand beneath the table. He knew it could be seen on camera, but he couldn’t care less now. "I've been depressed, shutting everyone out for two weeks. I let some things get to me, and Minho was the only one I let near me. I didn't explain exactly how I was feeling, but he was there to hold me when I couldn't go on anymore and broke down crying repeatedly," Chan said, and everyone grew quiet. Their friends looked at Minho and Chan worriedly, hearing for the first time how much Minho actually dealt with. Minho swallowed hard. He could tell by the sound of his voice alone that Chan was having a hard time talking about it. "I've been dragging him down with me and my issues. After our fight, we both dealt with it differently. But none of us were feeling well. I’d never say I was doing as bad as him those past few weeks. Nevertheless-," his voice broke, and the grip on his hand grew tighter.
"Chan," Minho said gently, turning a little and seeing the tears in his boyfriend's eyes.
Chan stopped for a moment, gathering himself as he found peace in Minho's soft coffee eyes. "Nevertheless, Minho saved my life even though he couldn’t stand being in a room with me at that time. And I'll be forever grateful for that. I gave up on everyone, including myself. A few weeks before Minho’s incident, I accidentally sent my goodbye message to Minho after spontaneously deciding to leave the group. I didn’t feel like I could lead them anymore and thought they’d do better without me. I knew they had Min, who would do his best to carry them through it," he said, his voice shaking as a tear ran down his cheeks. Minho blinked softly as tears brimmed his own eyes and swallowed hard, knowing he had to be strong for them in this moment. Chan wiped away the tears and exhaled shakily. "He climbed up to my balcony, even though he’s deathly scared of heights, to stop me, thinking I was talking about something else, and I-," he trailed off before holding Minho's hand up. "So yes, for everyone asking why I called him love when he collapsed or gifted him this ring, it's because I really, really love him, and I want him to know that."
Minho smiled at him and squeezed his hand. He hadn’t expected him to be that open.
“Gosh, it sounds like you two have been through a lot lately,” she said with a compassionate smile. “Feel free to step away for a bit if you need a moment,” she told them, seeing how hard Chan was fighting back tears.
Chan exchanged a look with Minho, debating if they should take her up on that. Minho got up, still holding his hand. “Come on, Channie hyung,” he said gently, placing his headset on the table.
Minho pulled him close as soon as they were outside, his heart breaking a little at how tightly Chan clung to him, hiding his face in his shirt. “You did great, Channie love. I’m so proud of you,” he told him quietly.
“You’re right, this is scary,” he said quietly.
“I got you,” he promised with a gentle smile, fondling his hair. “I love you so much. Thank you for having my back in there,” he whispered.
Chan pulled back and smiled as Minho wiped his cheeks for him. “I love you too, baby,” he told him quietly. He held up his pinky finger for him. “You and me against the world?”
Minho’s face softened as he returned the gesture, linking them together. “Always…Let’s go back in?”
“May I get a kiss first?” he asked.
Minho glanced around quickly before nodding. He connected their lips to a short but loving kiss and gently patted his back. “Alright, come on.”
-
The others watched them leave before turning back to their interviewer. “That is quite some story,” she said.
“Yeah, it’s been a lot going on the past few weeks,” Jisung agreed.
“I suppose that hasn’t been easy for you all either?”
“We’ve had our ups and downs,” Felix told her. “Those two have formed a very deep bond over the past few years, so we all knew they could do this once they started to get along again.”
“A very deep bond? Do you mean like very good friends? Or are the rumors true, and there’s more?”
“You could call them our parents by now. These two are so in sync it’s annoying,” Jeongin lightened the mood as they came back inside and sat down.
“As charming as always,” Chan commented dryly.
“We’ve been blessed with a few chaotic kids. It’s only natural that we had to step up and lead them,” Minho winked at Jeongin, who stuck out his tongue at him. “See?” he asked, making everyone laugh.
"Your friends have been telling me about that deep bond you share. Our listeners would love to know if the rumors are true?" she asked and Minho looked at Chan.
Chan looked almost a little anxious as he met his eyes, swallowing hard at the pure love and adoration in his boyfriend's doe eyes. Minho smiled gently, taking Chan's hand and squeezing it. "Chan means a lot to me, which is why fighting with him had taken such a toll on me. We're a team and we work best when we're together," Minho said, keeping his eyes on Chan. "I love him, that sums it up well."
"Platonic love or-?" she asked curiously.
Minho could tell Chan wasn't quite ready to open up that much today and simply smiled, still not looking away from him. "No comment."
Chan chuckled, finger brushing over his ring delicately. He turned toward their interviewer, taking a deep breath. "As I said, I love him too. That's all I have for you right now."
Felix and Changbin grinned as they watched them, Jisung exchanged a fond glance with Hyunjin and Jeongin winked at Seungmin. They all knew damn well how very obvious those statements have been without saying much or admitting anything. At the end of the day, their hyungs knew how to dance along the fine line.
"Well…I wish you the best of luck then to keep what you have right now," she said with a knowing smile.
A few weeks later
Minho adjusted his newest stage outfit and sighed after cracking his neck. He was tired and already longed to be wrapped up in Chan's arms and back in bed. He had gotten through most of his performances for the day already and was about to perform for the last time. "Can I borrow that one for a moment?" he asked Felix, who was walking past him with a fan.
"You can keep it," Felix told him, and Minho nodded thankfully.
He closed his eyes as the cool air hit his face and took a few deep breaths. His head was hurting a little from all the noise, so he made his way outside their dressing room, leaning against the wall.
Only a few seconds later, the door opened again. "Are you okay?" Chan asked caringly.
Minho nodded and flashed him a small smile. "I'm okay. It's too loud in there," he told him.
"Understandable," he nodded agreeingly and rolled his eyes fondly. "But seriously, are you sure you’re feeling?"
"Yeah," he nodded.
"Your knee's alright?" he asked.
"It has been for a while now, yes," he told him amused.
"You're not feeling dizzy or anything?" Chan made sure, and Minho shook his head.
"I'm overwhelmed, that's all. Today there have been a lot of bright lights and loud noises. I'm getting a bit of a headache, but I'll get through the last performance and relax later," he assured him.
Chan stepped in front of him and gently massaged the back of his neck before going up to his temples. Minho moaned softly at the relieving touch and closed his eyes. "I'm proud of you, baby. You've worked hard today."
"Thank you," he smiled shyly and opened his eyes again. "I missed being on stage like this."
"I know you did," he nodded and kissed his forehead. "Have I told you how much your new hair color suits you yet?" he asked, brushing back Minho's currently dark purplish hair.
"Only a million times," he winked at him. "I like it too, no worries," he giggled.
"So pretty." Chan gave him a short kiss. "Can I walk you to the stage?"
"Sure," he smiled sweetly and laughed as their friends all came outside.
"We wouldn't want to miss your last performance," Jisung smiled.
"You guys are so sweet," Minho told them and took Chan's hand. "Alright, let's go."
"Good luck," Chan told him right before he left, and Minho took his place on stage.
He was feeling alright throughout the performance, hitting his notes beautifully and dancing smoothly as always.
"Gosh, he sounds so good," Jisung beamed excitedly as Minho hit a high note.
"Is he okay, though?" Felix frowned softly.
"Right? It looked like he stumbled a bit," Jeongin nodded nervously.
"He's shaking," Seungmin added.
"Please shut up," Chan said anxiously, seeing all of it himself. His eyes haven’t left Minho the entire performance.
Minho knew the song was coming to an end and felt relieved, knowing he'd soon be back home. He stepped forward at the end and panted heavily, finally feeling how exhausted his body actually was. He squinted his eyes as the audience began to blur in front of him, and felt dizziness taking over his body. Not again. Minho pulled his earpiece out as a high-pitched tone rang through his ear and clutched his chest, pained. Fuck. He nervously glanced to the stage exit, debating if he should risk staying where he was or getting off stage before another debacle.
"What the fuck is he doing?" Changbin asked worriedly.
"He doesn't look good," Hyunjin agreed. They all glanced at Chan, who was anxiously chewing on his lower lip. The moment Minho sank down to his knees, head hanging low as he tried to hide his pain, Jisung, Felix, and Changbin held Chan back.
"Hey, let me go! He needs help!" he protested.
"Chan hyung, you can't storm on stage now, okay?" Seungmin told him.
"There's staff already out there to help him," Jeongin pointed out as someone brought him water.
"I told them it would be too much for him," Chan said weakly.
"We know, he knows as well," Felix said calmingly.
"Fuck it, I'm getting him off stage," Chan groaned and pushed them off before making his way on stage.
"Fucks sake, Chan," Felix groaned.
Minho looked up at him, surprised as Chan was suddenly kneeling down next to him and cupping his face. "Relax," he whispered, noticing the anxiety in Chan's eyes. "We're on stage, angel."
"You got dizzy?" he asked gently, and Minho nodded.
"It was a little too much," he told him tiredly. "My body hurt and gave up on me for a minute."
"You think you can get up?" he asked, and Minho nodded bravely, letting Chan help him up. Chan wrapped his arm around him tightly and led him off the stage. As soon as they were backstage, Chan snapped at one of their staff members. "I told you it would be too much!"
"Chan," Minho cut him off sharply, and everyone looked at him worriedly. "I said I would be fine. I overestimated myself, and my body showed me that I was not ready for this yet. It's fine, let it be."
"You wouldn't have done it if they hadn't suggested it. You're trying to satisfy them again," he told him.
Minho tiredly rubbed his hurting head and looked at the staff members. "Can you get the car, please? I need a break." They nodded at him and quickly called their car.
"Wrong place, wrong time, Chan hyung," Jisung told him gently, letting Minho brace himself on his shoulder. "Come on, let's sit down somewhere until the car's here." Seungmin came to help and wrapped his arm around his waist, steadying him.
Felix gently rested his hand on Chan's arm. "He needs his boyfriend now, not our leader," he told him softly, and Chan glanced at him nervously.
"I just want him to be okay again," he confessed weakly.
"We know," Changbin told him kindly.
"You can still talk about schedules later. Right now, he needs a hug and you telling him he did amazing today," Hyunjin told him.
"Go on," Jeongin gave him a gentle push.
Chan groaned softly but did as they said and walked over to them. He crouched in front of Minho, and his heart fluttered at his boyfriend's tired smile. "Sorry, I lost my temper back there."
"You were worried, it’s alright," he told him kindly, not noticing Seungmin and Jisung leaving them alone. Minho gently reached out for him and fondled his hair. "I promise you, I'm okay. Just very tired."
"I'm sorry I got scared for a second," he confessed and sat on the sofa next to him. Minho turned slightly and pressed his forehead against Chan's. Their hands found each other, and Minho squeezed it gently.
"I'm here, I’m still conscious," he promised.
Chan pulled him into his lap and hugged him close as Minho sank against him with a soft sigh. "You were amazing today. I'm really proud of you," he told him.
"Thanks, Channie hyung," he smiled sweetly and closed his eyes. "I'm so tired," he said softly.
"You can sleep. I'll take care of everything else," he assured him. Minho didn't need a second invitation.
Chan carried him to the car later, protecting his head as he leaned down to sit him inside. He sat down next to him, letting him sleep on his shoulder. He carried him inside once they reached home. At home, he laid him down on his bed and filled the bathtub with warm water to soothe his hurting body. He got him undressed and into the tub, bracing him as he very gently washed his hair and body. Minho was only half awake throughout the process, but appreciated the gesture nonetheless.
Chan got him dressed again before carrying him downstairs and sitting on the sofa with him on his lap. Felix handed him a plate with some food, and Chan started feeding Minho slowly. Minho was barely able to keep his eyes open but made sure to eat a little, knowing he needed the energy. He grew heavy against him and fell asleep as soon as Chan started running his hand through his hair.
The others all made sure to eat quietly and only talked with their voices lowered to give him some rest. Later, they put on a movie and gathered on the sofa around them, knowing if Minho woke up, he'd feel better seeing them continuing their day as always. He woke up later with a massive headache and winced softly as he moved on top of him.
Chan looked down worriedly. "What's wrong?"
"Headache," he groaned, melting into him as Chan massaged his scalp and temples. Felix came over with a glass of water and a pain pill for him, which he took, thankfully. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep again, curling up in Chan's arms.
Chan kept on lovingly massaging his head for a while and smiled softly as Minho grew calm again. The others all slowly went to bed until it was just Chan, Jisung, and Minho left.
"You need help carrying him upstairs?" Jisung offered quietly. Chan glanced down at Minho sleeping peacefully on his chest.
"I think we'll just stay on the sofa for the night," he shook his head. "I don't want to wake him up again."
"Alright," he nodded and gently patted Chan's shoulder. "Sleep well, Chan hyung."
"You too, Hannie," he smiled and watched him leave. Chan got comfortable on the sofa and pulled Minho down with him, who stirred in his sleep. "It's fine, keep sleeping," he told him quietly, fondling his hair. Minho cuddled into him, and soon Chan fell asleep right after.
Prompt: Characters are sat together on a long train ride. A one shot in which the reader unexpectedly spends an hour on a train with Agent Aaron Hotchner.
Category: Fluff
Content Warning: Brief mention of murder / death
Word Count: 3.2K
A/N: This is another @imagining-in-the-margins prompt for her September/October Challenge! Let me say that I have never been to Boston University, so if my writing is off on that, please forgive me. Trains were part of the prompt, and if you don’t know, we don’t have a lot of those in Texas. Also, Hotch might be a little out of character here, but it was fun to write him like this. Honestly, unless it’s a novel, I find it hard to get his deeper feelings right. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this. Please like it if you liked it, and feel free to send me a request for a Hotch fic if you want.
P.S. y/n uses she/her pronouns
The passengers on the train started to chatter as this announcement came over the PA, “Good afternoon passengers on the green line. The conductor wants to inform you that there’s been a train derailment at the Boylston intersection. Thankfully no one has been seriously injured, but this might mean we are delayed for some time. I will continue to keep you updated as we have more information. In the beginning, there was a sense of camaraderie with people looking up the news and sharing photos of the train that had derailed. However, as the minutes stretched to a half-hour people started getting angry. Businessmen checked their watches and phones every two minutes. Mothers with kids tried to keep their children calm, and a group of students sitting in the corner of the car were elated that they would be missing a freshman-level psychology class. The car was more crowded than usual, or at least more full than y/n had expected it to be on a Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 PM. y/n had to admit that she didn’t normally ride the train at this time, so her assumptions could be totally off. Anyway, she was stuck standing in the isle of the car holding one of those hangers that helped shorter people like her stay steady as the train moved. At the beginning she didn’t mind waiting while she listened to _y/f/a, but now the fact that she was standing and her left foot was in an ankle brace. Her foot was actually starting to hurt her. She wished she had Advil in her backpack, but she knew she didn’t. The bottle of ibuprofen was sitting on the counter in the bathroom. y/n shifted more of her weight to her right leg. Another ten minutes passed and she was getting nervous that she was going to miss the whole guest lecture she had been looking forward to for over a month.
y/n was pulled out of this train of thought when her phone rang. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and saw the name of her roommate _rm’s/n_ on the screen. Normally she would cancel the call and just wait till she was outside, but half of the businessmen were on their phones talking to secretaries or business partners and she needed a distraction from her foot, so she answered the call. “Hey, what’s up, _rm’s/n?_” Her roommate replied, “Hey, y/n I totally overslept and the dry cleaner that has my suit is going to close before I can make it there. It’s only two blocks away from campus. Could you pick it up and put it in your office or something and bring it back when you come back? I really need it for my presentation tomorrow.” y/n sighed, she should’ve seen something like this coming. She pinched the bridge of her nose and said, “Sorry, _rm’s/n_, I can’t. A train derailed down the line and I’m stuck here. It’s been forty minutes now and at this rate, I’m going to miss half of that lecture I’ve been going on about for weeks now.” Her roommate put on a syrupy voice saying, “Pleeeeese, y/n. I’ll owe you big time.” y/n was now getting annoyed and said, “No _rm’s/n_, I’m not picking up your suit for you. Take an Uber and get it tonight or wake up an hour earlier tomorrow and get it yourself. I’ve been looking forward to today for a long time and even if I only get to see the last ten minutes of this lecture, nothing is going to stop me from doing that.” y/n’s roommate knew the battle was lost but asked anyway, “Who is this guy that you’re so excited to hear lecture for two hours anyway. I’ve certainly never heard of him.” y/n rolled her eyes, This was proof that _rm’s/n_ never listened to her when she was talking in the apartment. In a slightly clipped tone, she replied, “His name is Agent Hotchner, and he’s the Unit Chief of the Behavior Analysis Unit out of Quantico. He’s giving a lecture on Criminal psychopathy and the split mind theory. He’s kind of a hero of mine. I’ve been telling you about this for weeks now _rm’s/n_.” There was a hesitant chuckle on the other end of the line and _rm’s/n_  replied, “Sorry y/n, you know I’ve been busy these last few weeks with my research and this presentation coming up. Listen, when you get home I’ll have a pizza and a bottle of wine waiting. Maybe we can catch up a bit, and I hope the train thing gets fixed with enough time for you to make it to that lecture.” At hearing this, y/n let some of her frustrations go. Sure _rm’s/n_ could be inconsiderate, but there wasn’t a point in fighting right now, so she said, “That sounds nice. See you in a few hours.” With that she hung up the phone and looked out of the still window, knowing that right now the lecture hall was filling with anticipatory students while she was stuck here on a train car.
Aaron was sitting down on the train. When he heard the announcement he knew he was screwed in getting to the Boston University campus on time for his speaking engagement. He emailed the event coordinator in the psychology department who had arranged this speaking engagement, writing: “Jonathan. Sorry to tell you this, but I may be a few minutes to an hour late to the university. I was going to take the rental, but the tire sprung a leak and it was getting late already, so I thought I would just take the train. Clearly, that was a mistake because it’s been delayed due to a derailment. I’ll keep you updated. Whenever the train does make it to a station I’ll hop out and get a cab, which I should have done from the start. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes. Sincerely, SSA Aaron Hotchner F.B.I. Unit Chief Behavioral Analysis Unit, Quantico Virginia.” With that, he sent the email and waited for a response. While he waited he pulled out his speaking notes and began reviewing them. He pulled out a pen making notes in the margins for his cadence and pauses. As confident as he was in the material he was covering, whenever he spoke to a large group of people who weren’t N.A.T. trainees, his nerves picked up. Therefore reviewing his presentation, he hoped would calm him. The minutes ticked by and Jonathan emailed him back saying that they would push back the lecture until he arrived and that he and the department understood that this wasn’t his fault. A few minutes later the person standing in front of him took a phone call. He relegated the conversation to white noise as his attention turned back to the pages in his lap. However, when his name was mentioned his attention flicked back to the person standing in front of him. The person was turned away from him slightly so he couldn’t see their face. They had a _f/c_ backpack on. She was wearing something formal and Aaron couldn’t help but notice that she was wearing an ankle brace and was highly favoring her other foot. After another minute the woman hung up and let out a sigh that was so quiet that he almost didn’t catch it.
Aaron put his papers away in his notebook and stood tapping the woman on the shoulder. _y/n_ turned to see who had tapped her shoulder and looked up for a moment. When her eyes met Aaron’s and recognized him they went wide for a second. After a moment of stunned silence y/n said, “Mr. Hotchner?” Aaron smiled and said, “Present.” There was another moment of silence and he continued the conversation saying, “Sorry. I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation. I’m glad to hear that at least someone is excited for the talk that I’m supposed to be giving right now.” After recovering from the shock of being in the same space as Agent Hotchner, y/n replied, “People have been talking about your lecture since the guest lecturers' names were announced at the beginning of the semester. I can’t believe you’re stuck in here too.” Aaron chuckled and said, “Yes, well I wasn’t anticipating such a long delay, or any delay.” Aaron extended his hand and said, “Sorry, I don’t know your name, and clearly you know who I am.” y/n took his hand and shook it, saying, “y/n l/n, Sir.” Aaron nodded and replied, “It’s nice to meet you y/n, and please just call me Aaron.” He was about to say something but the train lurched forward momentarily and y/n grabbed for the railing, her face set in a grimace for a second as she placed her weight on her injured foot. The train stopped again after a few seconds and Aaron said, “y/n, would you like to take my seat? I noticed that maybe standing for long periods might not be a great idea for you.” y/n flushed looking down at the ever-annoying boot on her foot. She tried to seem fine, not really wanting to seem weak in front of someone she had been inspired by for years. However, her leg was hurting her and Aaron had offered, so she begrudgingly switched places with the Hotch. Their arms brushed arms during the transfer. y/n felt a flutter run through her arm as their skin made contact. She sat down and set her backpack on the ground between her legs. She tried not to look at Aaron. The man was commanding, just standing in front of her. His tall height only added to the power she felt from her. Unlike her, who had been grabbing the extended handles for support, he easily rested his forearms on the metal bar running parallel along the train car. y/n was trying to find a place to look that wasn’t directly at Hotch.
She looked back up at him when he called her name. “Sorry, what was that?” y/n internally berated herself for not noticing that he had addressed her. Hotch smiled with a humorous look in his eyes as if he knew he had this effect on people if he wanted to. Hotch repeated his question saying, “Do you go the the Boston U? What do you study.” y/n looked up to Hotch and replied, “Oh. Yes. I do. I’m studying _y/m_ with a minor in _y/min_ because I can never make up my mind on what I want to do with my life. I’d like to think that I’m giving myself options, but really as a grad student, I’m just putting myself in debt.” y/n let out a nervous laugh at the absurdity of talking so casually to Aaron Hotchner. They shared a bit too casual banter as the train finally started moving again. The train stopped at Arlington station and the attendant stated over the PA, “Well folks, unless you want a long wait I’d recommend you get off here and find some alternative transportation to your final destination. Our sincerest apologies for the long delay. We hope you have a good rest of your evening. There was a sigh of relief from those on the train when the doors opened. Aaron offered y/n a hand up. They made it up to the street and as Aaron flagged down a cab, y/n tried to think of a way to get the few blocks to campus. It was rush hour and she didn’t have the money for an Uber, or a cab. By this time Aaron had hailed a cab. He looked around to see if y/n was still around. He figured he might offer them a ride in the cab, after all the university would be paying for it. He called y/n over saying, “Do you want to ride with me to campus. We’re both going to the same place, right?” y/n walked the short distance to him and asked, “You’re sure?” Hotch nodded and replied, “Of course.” He let her get in first and he told the cab where to drop them off. Hotch took a moment to email Jonathan to let him know that he was on his way pulled his notes back out and looked at them once more to steady his growing nerves. y/n checked her emails and answered a few from her students, as the cab zipped toward Boston University. Her attention was diverted to Aaron. He was silently tapping his foot, causing his leg to minutely move up and down in his dark blue pants. After a few moments, Aaron felt her eyes on him and he stopped tapping his foot. He looked over to y/n but she turned her face just quickly enough for him to not catch her staring. This did not, however, stop him from observing the blush that bloomed from her cheeks. Thankfully the ride was short and they both got out. y/n led him to the main auditorium where he was speaking. It was the largest on campus. When they approached the entrance, Aaron was met by Jonathan who quickly stepped forward and shook Aaron’s hand saying, “We’ve got a pretty big crowd still, so please forgive me if I seem to be rushing you. Let’’s get you inside and mic'd up. Jonathan kind of hustled Aaron toward a side door, but before he was swept out of sight, y/n said, “Thanks for the ride. Good luck.” Hotch nodded and said, as he was being led forward, “No problem. See you inside.”
The inside of the auditorium was still almost filled to capacity. It was a stroke of luck that y/n found a seat in the T-zone with good visibility of the stage. Just as she sat down and began pulling out her notebook, the lights dimmed slightly as Jonathan stepped onto the and introduced Aaron. The lecture was detailed and held the attention of the audience the whole hour that Hotch spoke. He fielded a few questions after the talk and then said, “Due to the fact that I was an hour late to this lecture, my apologies for that by the way, I’m going to cut off the Q and A here. However, if you have questions or would like to speak to me, I’ll be at the front of the stage for a few minutes. Thank you everyone for coming.” There was a loud round of applause as people in the audience got up and moved to the aisles and exits. y/n got into the line to speak to Aaron. It was about twenty minutes until she reached him. When he saw her, he flashed a smile and said, “Hey, y/n. So, how was it?” y/n laughed slightly and said, “It was incredible. It really was.” Hotch nodded and thought back to the two hours ago when they were on the train and she had first brought him up. He asked, “When we were on the train you said I was ‘a hero of yours.' Might I ask why? I’m rarely given that status if I’m being honest.” y/n looked down to the wooden floor. She guessed that what she had said to her roommate might come up again and even though she had meant it, it was still a painful thing to think about. Now that she was standing in front of the man himself it felt trivial really. Aaron tilted his head and realized from y/n’s demeanor, that he might have touched on a sensitive topic. He shifted his weight slightly and said in a softer voice, “y/n, I’m sorry. You don’t have to answer that if you don’t want to.” y/n cleared her throat and looked back up to Aaron’s sympathetic gaze. She nodded but said, “It’s fine. I’ve, um, actually met you before. It was a long time ago when Gideon was the Unit Chief. My _s/p_ was murdered in front of me and the team came out to my _h/t_. I was interviewed and everything, but you, you stopped and asked if I was okay. I’ve never forgotten that. In the hype of everything that was happening, I was just a teenager, but you saw me.” y/n’s eyes tried to blink back the tears that had formed in her eyes, and she quickly wiped them away with the back of her hand. Aaron bit the inside of his mouth as he looked over the young woman in front of him. He racked his brain for his past early cases, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t place her anywhere. He gently placed his hand on her arm and as she looked up at him, he said, “I’m so sorry. I don’t remember you. Thank you for telling me that.” y/n sniffled for a moment and replied, “I look a lot different from back then. I’m just glad that I got to tell you in person. You’ve helped a lot of people, not by just bringing criminals to justice, but by seeing people on the sidelines.”
Aaron was touched by what _y/n_ had said. Not that any of the others who had come before to tell him that he mattered, or that his work wasn’t important didn’t matter. But to have someone remember when he was green to the force. Before he was Unit Chief meant something to him. There was still a line behind y/n and he knew that Jonathan and some of the psychology and criminology professors were taking him out to dinner after this, but he didn’t want to let y/n go just yet. His hand was still on her arm and he realized it had been there a bit too long. He removed it and said, “I have some things to attend to for an hour and a half or so, but would you like to get a drink later tonight. As long as it’s not distressing or painful for you, I’d like to remember you from that case.” y/n’s mouth opened and closed a few times before she stated, “That, that sounds lovely. I’d be happy to join you.” Aaron nodded and pulled out the generic business card he carried with him at all times. He flipped it over and wrote his cell number on the back. He handed the card to y/n and said, “Shoot me a text with your name and I’ll let you know when I” 'm free to meet. I look forward to it.” y/n flushed again. It seemed to be a theme of the evening as she said, “Okay. See you later.”
y/n almost floated to her office in the _m’s/d_. In her office, she pulled out some grading she needed to do and sent her number to Hotch. A few minutes later he liked it to let her know that he he got her text. It seemed impossible that this was happening to her. In fact, the whole day seemed like a dream. However long it was before Aaron let her know that he was open to getting a drink, passed quickly and she thought that perhaps the man she had dreamed about for so many years wasn’t such a dream after all. Maybe he was just as great as she had imagined.
When I was a kid, I used to wander around without any gadgets. So when mom allowed me to hold her smartphone, I was really excited. Usually, I just scrolled through her Facebook.
And I was really surprised to find out that her news feed had posts, "Today I wasn't killed with a rocket! Good morning, everyone! :D" or "I can't believe I'm alive just because I missed my bus. They had another terract there, N dead, X wounded." Almost every time, for many years.
I thought, "Well, it must be horrible to live in Israel and be constantly scared for your life and for your loved ones. Thank God we don't have this all in Ukraine." But I didn't really care, and I didn't fully realise what they've felt. I was a kid, after all, a kid who didn't taste the true russian culture yet. I'm embarrassed to admit, but I didn't care.
What I want to say is that Palestine, as a state, has been doing to Israel the same things for MANY YEARS russia is doing to Ukraine now. Which is understandable since Palestine exchanges the knowledge of how to kill and rape people better with russia. By the time the Internet became worldwide, Israeli just got used to that.
And I was really surprised to find out how many people I used to find smart suddenly started repeating that Israel is an occupier fashist state. After October 7th. How many people started justifying organized mass rape and burning children alive "because Nakba" or something else. How many people, including Ukrainians, started justifying the state, which literally works with russia and teaches its kids how to kill Jews better. I was shocked and disgusted.
Then I wanted to laugh nervously after some people I used to read started doing this way: after every "Israel is fashist and occupier" they shared something about Jewish culture, to show they are not antisemitic. The fact that Israel is as much Jewish state as Ukraine is Ukrainian - they don't care about it. Watching your friends becoming brainwashed in real time is not the best experience I had.
It's not military targets that have been fired upon by Palestine in Israel at all. It was not the fashists zionists who were raped and killed on October 7th at all. It was the same people as me and you, kids, women, elderly, students, tourists, pro-Palestinian activists like Vivian Silver - they all were murdered brutally by Palestine because Palestine shares the same rhetoric as Houthis in Yemen. They just want to kill all Jews and "rule the whole world".
I think it's only natural to wish the state, which organises mass rape and mass murder on your land, to stop exist.
