My preference headcanons for every MLB character! (🌈 Happy Pride Month 🌈)

Note: These are MY personal preference headcanons for the characters. Take it with a grain of salt. Our opinions are allowed to differ, but please respect mine and I’ll respect yours.

Marinette: Bi, Female Leaning. I see her going both ways, but the reason why I see her female leaning is:

I personally just like that idea! ❤️

It seems that she’s more comfortable with girls than boys (I know that doesn’t necessarily mean that she’s attracted to girls, but eh. Still like the idea).

Her crush on Adrien seems comphet to me (yes, that can happen to Bi people too).

She can be that “preppy queer” archetype.

Adrien: Pan. I was THIS close to making Adrien Bi (female leaning), but I settled with him being Pan. Why? For the sole reason that I see Chat Noir as Pan (and Adrien IS Chat Noir lol). It makes sense 😄 I’m also starting to see him as Gender-fluid.

Alya: Bi, Female Leaning. Listen, I ALWAYS saw Alya into girls, even before her and Nino got together in Animan to be honest with you. But according to canon, it seems like she’s even Straight or Bi, since she’s shown attraction to boys. I mean, she COULD be a comphet Lesbian, but meh. I don’t want to erase the possibility of her being Bi because of her attraction to boys too. We need more Bi rep. 😜 So basically, I now see her as Bi, but female leaning. She prefers girls, but Nino is a sweetie pie 😊

Nino: Bi, female leaning. Nino prefers girls more, but he doesn’t mind dudes either 😉 I actually ship him and Adrien together. If it wasn’t for the love square and DJWifi, I think Nindrien would’ve been more popular.

Chloe: Closest Bi, comphet. Some people might see her as token Straight or a closest Lesbian, but I’ve finally decided that she likes both genders equally. Similar with Marinette, I just see her crush on Adrien as heteronormativity/comphet and also because she’s confusing her plantonic love for him with romantic.

Zoe: Queer. Tbh, I don't know right now. We don't know if she's gay, Bi or anything else, but we DO know that she's queer. She hasn’t shown any interest in boys in canon yet, but I don’t want to throw out the possibility of her being Bi/Pan yet either.

Sabrina: Closest Pan. Sabrina is the type who thought that she was just an Straight Ally who doesn’t care who’s with who when it came to other peoples’s happiness. Love is love after all. Eventually she finds out that SHE HERSELF doesn’t care either when it comes to HER preferences lol 😂

Luka: Bi, simple but obvious 😌

Kagami: Pan & Demi. Use to see her as Bi (female leaning), but she doesn’t care as long as she can have a strong connection with them. I also see her as a Polyamorous Demi. She’s fine with being in a relationship with more than one person, but only if she has a strong connection with them. When you think about it, I guess that kind of makes Mari and Adrien Polyamorous too since Adrigaminette is my OTP3 huh? 😅

Rose: Pan. Rose loves everybody and anybody. She doesn’t care who it is 😊

Jeluka: Lesbian. I don’t really see Jeluka with any males and I don’t think that I ever did. She’s my little goth Lesbean! 😊

Kim: Bi. He’s perfectly fine with both, as long as he’s having fun 😄

Max: Biromantic Ace, Male Leaning, use to see him as Pan, but I see him more as male leaning now. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t mind girls though. Ones who are kind, sweet or/and match his intellect 😊

Ordine: Straight. Meh, I don’t really see her with females 🤷🏾‍♀️ Ordine ships like Kagami, Alix and Aurore etc. don’t interest me. Might change in the future, but I don’t know.

Mylene: Bi & Demi (male leaning). Her and Ivan together are pretty cute, and I don’t put it pass her to be interested in other boys too. But she is queer.

Ivan: Straight. Ivan was the first character in MLB that I saw as Straight lol

Nathaniel: Bi. I don’t ship him with anyone anymore, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a bi-bean to me 😛 I’m pretty sure he’ll find someone one day.

Marc: Gay, Trans, and Gender-fluid. I don’t really see Marc with girls anymore, so he’s gay now 😛 Also, I know he’s already Androgynous, but I also see him as Trans & Gender-fluid.

Alix: Aromatic Lesbian & Bigender. Like with Max (Ace), Alix was confirmed Aromatic, but I still do see her as a Lesbian. I don’t really imagine Alix being in an long term relationship, but she is interested in females. I did headcanon her Bi in the past, but I don’t really see her interested in any boys anymore tbh

Lila: Pan. She doesn’t care who it is, as long as she can manipulate them to her advantage…🤷‍♀️ Don’t get me wrong though, I do imagine Lila being capable of love and falling for someone, but not immediately.

Aurore: Lesbian (Comphet). I don’t ship her with any boys at all, and all my ships with her are with girls.

Mirelle: Bi (Comphet). Similar with Aurore. Also, I also ship them on the same level as Julrose.

Gabriel: Straight, but I don’t like the idea of him being the stereotypical homophobic parent. He’s a shitty person and parent, but it’s not because he’s homophobic. I did see him as bicurious in the past tho lol

Emillie: Bi. Meh, she gives off that kind of energy, even if she’s been in a coma 😜

Natalie: Bi. I like the headcanon that she’s a Bi woman who had feelings for Emillie too, as well as Gabriel (formally). I don’t know how true that is now, but meh. Still my headcanon.

Ms Mendeleiev: Lesbian. I see her being into women solely for the reason that I shipped her with Bustier lol 😅

Miss Bustier: Bi, but now just Queer. Similar with Zoe, we don't know if she's gay, Bi or anything else, but we DO know that she's queer/sapphic.

Socqueline: Queer/Sapphic. We most certainly know she’s into girls, especially cute preppy ones that so happen to attend the same school that she use to attend, sees her as a role model to the point where she adapted her hairstyle, is into fashion, works at her parents bakery and unfortunately tends to have crushes on boys who are dum-dums instead of also acknowledging her obvious attraction to girls! 😤

Fei: Lesbian. Plain and simple. Makes sense.

Felix: Like Zoe, I’m not absolutely sure yet. But I do see him being part of the Ace Spectrum.

The other characters I don’t really care about enough to have preference headcanons for. So if you want to know my preference headcanon about them, ask me.

These are just my personal Headcanons and although some may contain canonical facts many of the others are my personal opinion based on vibes. Also reminder to please send me any requests cuz I have no idea what to write thank uuu.

Jane is a lesbian. We all know she is. She was probably the first person in the mansion out and I think kind of gave everyone else the motivation to also come out. Most of the girls who are queer in the mansion probably realised they were queer BECAUSE of Jane. Which is very understandable.

The Slenderman is an eldritch being so I don’t think he does the whole dating thing, you could consider him aroace but he doesn’t really consider himself as anything.

Jeff is also somewhere on the aroace spectrum, probably Greysexual and Greyromantic (this whole post is probably going to be me giving myself representation oml). He’s also pan, on the chance that he does take interest in someone their gender isn’t going to be a major deciding factor. He’s cis with a bit of toxic masculinity mixed in because he is an asshole.

Liu is a hard one, part of me wants to say he’s straight because of their scarf. And that really is the only reason. But I also think he’s bi with a male lean. As they have DID he most likely uses plural pronouns most of the time, but he himself uses he/they.

Sully is Greyaroace, he doesn’t really care about Liu’s partner as long as they don’t hurt him. If Liu is with his partner then he’ll only front if Liu wants him to meet them, but other than that he’ll just leave them be. If Sully takes an interest in someone that Liu is interested in then Liu (being the angel he is) will let him front so he can get to know them.

I’m not including Laughing Jack because his creator is a piece of shit.

Eyeless Jack is demiromantic, demisexual and pan. He cares more about the person as an individual over anything, and he will likely spend a few months before getting with his partner to get to know them as he is a very distrusting and cautious to new people or people he doesn’t know that well. He also won’t get intimate with someone who he doesn’t fully know as he knows he looks a bit… odd (I mean he thinks he does), and he needs to know that his partner will accept him.

Toby is a hard one. He had to be homeschooled due to the bullying so I don’t think he had much romantic experience, the only exposure to any kind of relationship was his parents, but he knew that was abusive and toxic. Because of that I think he is hesitant to be in a relationship as he’s afraid he’ll end up like his dad, but once he has built the motivation to fight that fear he might rush into relationships so he can get a feel of them. He’s likely to be bi, to him the most important part of a relationship is being mindful and understanding of each other’s situation and feelings. I don’t know who first came up with the hc that Toby is ftm but I can very much get behind it. Consider trans Toby canon in my universe.

BEN has the biggest bisexual energy in which I have ever seen in an individual. This is only something they realised after he died and was taken to the mansion, and as they were around 13 when they died (I don’t like the idea that BEN continued to age until 18, it’s weird) he is eternally that age so anything beyond kissing, hugging or holding hands is a no no. BEN uses he/they/it, not really because he considers himself non-binary but because he’s technically coding, plus he looks like Link and we all know Link isn’t cis.

HELENNN. Helen is my favourite creepypasta so if this ends up longer than the others then you know why. Helen was raised as a girl due to his parents really wanting a girl but out popped Helen, who was not a girl. Being raised as a girl for the first few years of his life and then being told he was a boy as soon as he went to school was very confusing for him, and I think because of that when he grew up he really didn’t see the importance of gender roles or such a strict line between genders. I read a hc from another writer that Helen is agender and uses he/him pronouns, which is an idea I really like. He is canonically described as a jerk with the facade of a gentleman, which can have an effect on his relationships as he has a tendency to be a bit aloof and selfish towards his partner at the start of their relationship. With some help he will learn not to be though, but this is a process that will take a while. I don’t think he cares too much for labels and he doesn’t consider himself bi or pan or anything; whilst his partners gender isn’t particularly important, he likes them to be pretty and have a pleasant personality.

Clockwork is lesbian, and (although I may be a bit bias because I ship them) I think she likes Jane. I mean, who wouldn’t like Jane?? Have you seen her??? I think she was also comphet due to trauma she may have endured in her prior life, and because of this she forced herself to like Toby when she first arrived at the mansion. Then she met Jane and was kind of like ‘well fuck.’ After that she assumed she was bi but after a bit of research she realised she was lesbian. She’s probably pining over Jane, is the pining mutual? Who knows.

Nina is Greysexual, greyromantic and straight. This is because the only person she loves, has loved and ever will love is Jeff. It is completely possible that this is a delusion and is something she has manipulated herself into thinking and her thinking she’s straight may be because she only ‘loves’ Jeff and as she could never be with anyone else she must be straight. She’s an ally though so 😍.

Judge Angels is genderfluid and pan. This stems a bit from Helen being unlabelled as these two definitely had something going on and Helen didn’t care about their gender. I honestly don’t know much about Dina so this is pure vibes.

Nurse Ann is a lesbian and probably has a thing going on with Kate. Source: trust me bro.

The Puppeteer is gay. His love for Emra was more of an obsession and fascination then actual love, and I think he realised this when he met the inhabitants of the mansion. He was a initially unsure of how a bunch of serial killers would react to him being gay but when he saw that Jane was out and wasn’t getting judged because of it he was just like ‘why not.’ He’s also asexual because I’m asexual and I say so.

Masky and Hoodie are really hard to figure out. Tim in Marble Hornets was the most gay coded individual in which I have ever seen, which may be due to my own interpretation but as this is my hc I’m saying he’s gay, and probably greysexual. Part of the reason why he went along with Jay in ‘finishing the project’ despite having really no interest in it was because he most likely had a little crush on him. But then he became the Slendermans proxy and started working with Brian and was like ‘ah shit here we go again.’ They keep it strictly business though, so it’s unlikely they will be anything more than colleagues.

Nadine Ross is often characterized as butch/a stud, especially when compared to Chloe in their relationship… because she’s a black, muscular dark skinned woman. Am I gonna talk about this???

I guess I chose violence today, especially since I rarely text post on here, mostly jokes and ideas when I do, but this is has been on my mind for years tbh. I know people often talk about persons trying to fit queer relationships in a heteronormative lens, making one partner seem more masc and one seem more fem, when that may be the case sometimes, but sometimes partners are also equally fem, equally masc, equally stem etc. Its also the case that black/dark skinned characters are often painted with the masc brush more.

I’m a black dark skinned sapphic. Hi. Maybe I’m projecting? (I mean I project autism onto Nadine too as an autist myself, heyo.) Personally, I don’t see much of a reason in canon to assume Nadine is butch or a stud, she’s not dressed super fem whenever we see her, but we literally only see her when she’s working. It’s in her character to dress practically while Chloe is more chill about that sort of thing. Sure she wears a pantsuit instead of a dress in Italy (uncharted 4) but she was still working and expected worse than Rafe did. Pantsuit is still practical there. She still did her make up and wore cute rings tho. I just don’t see why some people characterize her as allergic to make up, or dresses, or feminine underwear or anything of a similar sort.

Don’t take this as me having an issue with studs or more masc presenting black women, I love them I’m friends with many irl. But as a black woman I can speak to the way black and dark skinned women are often kept from femininity, that femininity is more closely tied to pale skin, “neat” (ie long flowing straight) hair, daintier fames and Eurocentric facial features which Nadine has none of, neither do I. I don’t expect the people who this post will reach to be the ones who still to this day call Nadine trans slurs even because she dares to be muscular (something I have also dealt with irl and showing my face online in the past), but I can’t help but wonder how her race affects this when those people often use racialised language as well.

Think of how women are often slut shamed for what they wear, based on their unchangeable body more than the clothing itself. A thin white woman in a camisole and shorts is comfortable, and a curvy large chested, big booty black woman in the same outfit is a thot. It’s kinda similar in that way, that a small framed white (or lighter skinned, straight haired) woman in a simple shirt and pants is just wearing basic clothes, but a black woman in the same outfit is butch. The way black women who are anything other than HYPER fem with long acrylics, wigs/weaves/braids, complex pretty dresses (which are ALL lovely don’t get it twisted) are immediately coined a masc is just… weird to me. It’s like we have to put more effort into proving we are women and can be feminine too.

If you ask me Chloe and Nadine come across equally stem, I don’t see either of them more or less likely to engage in traditional femininity than the other. Even simple things like the fact that many people write/draw Nadine as taller than Chloe, when being taller is associated with masculinity when Chloe is canonically 5’8 and Nadine is only 5’5. So I begin to wonder why no one portrays Chloe as possibly being more masc in turn. Or even Elena, who we only see look pretty “fem” or whatever, opposed to practical, in her wedding photos.

TLDR: Ask yourself why you might picture Nadine as being more masc than Chloe. Is it just a fun headcanon? Is it seeing yourself in her character? Is there reason you believe that cause of things she actually says and does in Uncharted? Or if it was reversed, that Chloe, or he’ll even a white woman acted the same way as Nadine, dressed the same way as Nadine, would you still assume that she was butch? Or does her hair, build and skin tone add to why she comes across more masculine, because this is a thing many black women, especially sapphics, who don’t present as hyperfem have to deal with irl, myself included. We are often perceived as more masculine, trying/wanting to be men, being called trans slurs or being seen as too masculine in our bodies to be AFAB/being “transvestigated” (which people do do to Nadine), all these things that try to keep us at an arms length from womanhood and femininity. So keep those things in mind when you portray a character (particularly in transformative work, your own OC is a little different).

Jane Austen Characters and Neurodiversity

Jane Austen wrote characters who feel so real and interesting that scholars have been arguing about them almost since they were written. People identify with many aspects of characters that probably weren’t intended by the author, including reading Emma Woodhouse and Charlotte Lucas (among others) as queer. Headcanons are great and if you see yourself, as a neurodiverse person, in an Austen character, that is awesome. This post is only my opinion and I’m not an expert. It is also impossible to make a diagnosis based on a 200 year old book.

The main reason I don't attribute the behaviour of Jane Austen's characters to anything clinical is because I think Jane Austen was trying to show how wealth and the single-minded pursuit of wealth can twist people. Darcy is in the top 1% (or even the top 1% of the 1%) and even today, those sort of people don't come off as normal even if they are neurotypical. I think most of the characters' behaviour can be accounted for by 1. being extremely wealthy/powerful meaning they are unchallenged in a way that magnifies their faults, 2. the fact that most of these people don’t have jobs and are therefore idle and under-stimulated (even a lot of the ones who have “jobs”), 3. attention seeking behaviour and 4. being surrounded by fawning Yes Men.

There is also the complicated discussion of maybe neurodiversity would explain some behaviour but it does not excuse.

There are only two Austen characters that strike me as having some sort of possible psychiatric illness or neurodivergence: Mr. Woodhouse (Emma) and Anne Steele (Sense and Sensibility).

Anne Steele is the only character who is actually incapable of following social rules. She is about thirty years old, and yet twice in the novel she is kept from making a huge breach of decorum by her younger sister. She is obsessed with Marianne’s clothes/appearance, to the point of asking what the fabric and washing costs. Importantly, Anne is not wealthy or powerful enough to ignore social rules. She is trying to court favour most of the time and yet cannot manage it without Lucy’s help. Also, she is distressed that Lucy will no longer trim her bonnets, which suggests she is incapable of doing it herself. I’m not sure how difficult it is to change ribbons in a bonnet, but it stood out to me as a little odd.

The other is Mr. Woodhouse. He is tricky for me. We are told he’s basically been like this all his life, so it’s not a case of dementia (though that could be making him worse).

The evil of the actual disparity in their ages (and Mr. Woodhouse had not married early) was much increased by his constitution and habits; for having been a valetudinarian all his life, without activity of mind or body, he was a much older man in ways than in years; and though everywhere beloved for the friendliness of his heart and his amiable temper, his talents could not have recommended him at any time. (Ch 1)

Also, his health anxiety can’t only be a manifestation of grief from losing his wife, because again, we are told he’s always been this way and he married late in life. One of the interesting things is that he’s not just worried about his health, he is incapable of imagining that other people are unlike him in their health or even thoughts. That is a failure of theory of mind, a major developmental milestone.

He could have some form of anxiety, probably comorbid with something that accounts for his inability to understand others, but then again, he’s a very rich man that no one ever disagrees with... which makes me think there is a chance he’s just a health conspiracy theorist who’s gone off the deep end. This would fit better into Jane Austen’s overall thesis that wealth screws people up too. (Note: Isabella is very similar to her father. Anxiety disorders can run in families but she does seem to tolerate being challenged better than her father.)

Lastly, despite being so concerned about his health, Mr. Woodhouse is never actually ill during the novel, while other characters do have recorded illnesses. Isabella, who shares her father’s fears, has born five healthy children. So whatever is wrong doesn’t seem to effect them physically very much.

Another Note: I have heard an argument for Fanny Price having ASD based on her inability to stand the noise or eat the food at her home in Portsmouth. I found this compelling, but I think we are meant to understand that the noise is overwhelming and everyone else is just used to it.

Last Note: To reiterate, I am not arguing that anyone’s headcanon is wrong. A headcanon is meant to be something that can’t be proved or disproved by the book. I just personally don’t see enough evidence in the text for most other characters to fit a psychological diagnosis or neurodivergence, especially Darcy. Being the coddled child of overindulgent parents who told him the planet revolved around him because he was so rich and important seems like a pretty good explanation for his behaviour to me! (and is what he says in the book).

(or kissed or had little moments but regardless they’re both too scared to speak of it again)

gonna be adding on to my headcannon about mike and will kissing before but the audience not knowing yet which i’m starting to think could be possible.

let’s start with the rain fight scene

one of the first times i ever watched it (a few days after s3 for ref) i literally thought some lines implied that they’ve had a thing before/kissed. and this was only when i knew will was gay i never even considered him liking mike at this point or them ever being together which is super interesting. so, going off my very first instinct of this scene i’m gonna break it down.

first off watching this scene with this perspective in mind kind of makes so much sense it feels like everything falls into place. also realizing this is just another part of their miscommunication trope.

“—so you can swap spit with some stupid girl?”

will thought they were on the same page in their relationship which is why he’s so confused as to why mike wants to do nothing but makeout with el all the time. he thought they were in this together even if they unofficially were together romantically.

“it’s not my fault you don’t like girls”

mike basically saying “it’s not my fault you didn’t move on from that one time we kissed. i moved on you were supposed to too, i’m not actually gay that was me just experimenting i’m not actually gay like you, you got the wrong idea” his insecurities are showing, he’s trying to keep on a normal not gay path, (even though we all know he’s never stopped liking will) probably because him being vulnerable with will before freaked him out because he realized his feelings for him we’re all too real.

will’s face captures a huge range of emotions but i do remember thinking there was an element of disbelief. especially in terms that he couldn’t believe mike was leaving him alone in all of this and that now he has to go through his queerness and love for his friend alone, when mike possibly told him otherwise.

“but we’re not kids anymore”

possibly implying that them kissing or showing their feelings for one another was just a “kid thing” and now since they’re growing up more will should be on the same page as him.

“i mean what did you think really? that we were never gonna get girlfriends? that we were just gonna sit in my basement and play games for the rest of our lives?”

who wants to bet mike and will agreed at some point that this would be their life together, hence why it’s talked about so much in the show. but now mike is backtracking. and that’s why will goes “yeah, i guess i did. i really did.” as in “i did because you’re the one who TOLD me this is how it would be for us” especially with his passive aggressive facial expression which completely explains why he would make that face and why the delivery of that line implied they’ve discussed before that this is what they both wanted, or something along those lines. it honestly doesn’t make much sense if it’s not because of this. also damn this has strong brokeback vibes. like they literally reflect the character’s struggles i’m convinced they definitely got inspo from this scene https://youtu.be/KVK6yLqY54w

like i said in my headcanon, the roller rink argument is also really telling. from the panic in mike’s voice and face when he says “what” to will straight up asking what they are to mike’s “we’re friends! we’re friends.” again, mike being like “god stop getting the wrong idea also stop digging so deep i’m trying to appear straight and you’re ruining it for me.”

now let’s look at their POVS in s4 quickly:

the first couple times mike talks about el to will it seems pretty normal but after that it’s almost like he’s testing the waters, to see will’s reaction, trying to gage if will feels anything for him at all anymore especially after their fights even though they made up. and since will keeps pushing for mike to be with el he’s convinced he has nothing there for him anymore.

will thinks he has a chance of something more being there between them again when he grabs the painting because they literally just flirted, but will slowly realizes over the roadtrip that mike is still hung up on el. that’s why he was selfless because he for the final time gets confirmation that mike doesn’t have any feelings whatsoever for him anymore. maybe that’s why it’s extra painful because they we’re so close to actually being together at one point but now will thinks he’s just lost that forever.

here’s when they flirt for ref. also just wanna say the way mike says and emphasizes “best friends” sounds like he’s implying something more lmao. also i’ve always thought it was interesting how they both are literally comfortable with flirting with each other and now i’m realizing if i’m right about this theory it’s because they’ve done it before. it’s like they’re used to it. we as an audience just don’t know that yet.

what is the real hidden message of frozen 2′s “show yourself”?

so i got the inspiration earlier to finally rewatch that frozen 2 “show yourself” music video on youtube, and i had some thoughts in the middle of doing so.

as a disclaimer, i just want to say that i’m absolutely queer myself. this is not to discredit others’ interpretations of the song, and this is just my own take regarding my life experiences. i’m not claiming to speak for everyone in this post. in fact, i do still believe queerness has a lot to do with the subtext inside of the lyrics.

but anyway, i remember when the movie was in theaters at the end of 2019 and there were plenty of articles written about how “show yourself” has a hidden meaning about accepting the idea of being queer. there are lots of people my age who were new to identifying as lesbian, gay, bi, and/or trans at the time and i thought it made a lot of sense, especially because the headcanon and theory that elsa is a closeted lesbian was so popular at the time. it paved the way to shipping elsa + honeymaren (elsamaren) and made it easy to read frozen 2′s ending with them dating.

and that’s definitely notable ─ i’m not disagreeing!

but something always felt off about how i related to the lyrics personally and i was never sure why.

until i stumbled upon it again today.

in my opinion, i think the song is better heard with autism (or otherwise neurodivergency) in mind. it tells my story of finding the missing piece much better than it does of my realizing that i’m bi + trans, as well as my coming out.

again, i don’t think the LGBTQ+ reading is wrong! honestly i believe it comes down to a mix of both that and the autistic reading. but i see the latter outweighing the former here.

to me, i looked up these lyrics on google and my mind went straight to getting a diagnosis, an answer as to why my social life has always been so wrong:

i've never felt so certain all my life i've been torn but i'm here for a reason could it be the reason i was born? i have always been so different normal rules did not apply is this the day? are you the way i finally find out why?

everyone has something different to say about what part of their identity has impacted their experiences the most growing up. for me, it’s being neurodivergent. my sexuality, probably like most people (but of course not for many others), didn’t show up until my teenage years; same with my internal gender and outer presentation. my autism, however, has been present and influenced who i am for my whole life. i felt elsa’s longing and determination to find answers to her lifelong questions about not just who, but how & why she is in her musical journey throughout the ice caves.

i feel like we can all say confidently that who we are, regarding being queer, is something we can answer with the factual statement that we are queer and that’s just that, unless of course we get into the old debate regarding if it exists as nature vs. nurture. regardless, it’s always innate to some degree, and doesn’t inherently determine our personalities, behaviors, or understandings. autism & ADHD both do; it’s literally what defines autism as we know it.

that’s my argument. as i said, i’m not looking to “prove” anything or present my subjective opinion as objective fact. my take isn’t that the neurodivergent interpretation is more important or valid than the queer interpretation, just that i prefer the second option over the first.

either way, elsa is, without a doubt, an autistic sapphic! this is (part of) what makes her a valuable, relatable character to a lot of young people and we should always celebrate that. ♡

Any headcanons for the student six during pride month? Not sure if equestria would have such a thing, as they seem a generally accepting sort, but seems fun to think about.

For the sake of this ask, I’m not gonna go into specifics as to what identities any of the students might have. I’ll leave that all up to your own headcanons.

Regardless of each students’ individual identity, it’s interesting to think about how their respective homelands might have regarded LGBTQ+.

I mean, I think we can all agree that dragons in general would probably not be the biggest supporters. From how they’re depicted in the show, dragons seem very conservative in how they portray themselves. This is how a dragon acts, if you don’t act this way, you’re a bad dragon. Not the best mindset for LGBTQ+.

So Smolder, once she sees just how open and accepting Equestria is about that kind of stuff…. Honestly, I don’t see the poor girl reacting great to it at first.

Smolder’s defining trial from the Tree of Harmony was addressing the seemingly conflicting aspects of her own self-image.

True, we only really got a surface level dive into that issue, coming to terms that she can be a rough and tough dragon while still enjoying traditionally feminine things and the contradictions between the two only exists in her mind, but that same mindset might get in the way of embracing her own identity after a lifetime of being told she has to be this one way.

It’s like Fluttershy learning to be assertive. It’s not a lesson you can learn just one time and suddenly change your entire thought-process.

So, once Smolder starts to realize she might be queer, I can see her having another crisis of self similar to the one from the Tree’s trial. That being said, just like the trial, I can see her coming to terms with it pretty quickly.

Smolder’s issues with self-image aside, she’s actually been shown as having a pretty good emotional maturity when it comes to reflecting on that image. It’s sort of why I consider her to be the Element of Acceptance in my whole headcanon about the students getting their own unique Elements.

The other species I can see not being all that great at accepting LGBTQ+ are the griffons. But unlike the dragons who actively suppress LGBTQ+ because they don’t fit the culturally accepted model with what a dragon should be, griffons are more just… painfully apathetic to the whole thing.

Like, they acknowledge that it’s a thing, they just don’t care to hear about it. I imagine griffon culture is very ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ about LGBTQ+ topics.

As far as Gallus is concerned, he probably didn’t realize he was queer until long after moving to Equestria. There was simply no-one to talk to about these sorts of things and he didn’t bother making enough of a connection with anygriff his age, boy or girl, to really have to address any actual feelings on the matter.

Once he does start to piece it together, I imagine he’d be a lot more chill about it than Smolder. Like, he’d be more embarrassed to be feeling things at all than who he was feeling things towards.

It helps that Gallus is already so disillusioned with griffons in general that, once he realized he was queer, he probably wouldn’t care about how griffons back home felt about it, it wasn’t any of their damn business anyway.

That said, I do like to think that if anygriff back home did give Gallus shit over it, Gilda and Greta would be pretty quick to put the fear of god in them. Not because they care about the little brat, they just have no patience for assholes.

As for the rest of the species, I can see being pretty positive in their treatment of LGBTQ+.

Yaks care about strength more than anything, but the concept of strength is notably a gender-neutral factor to them. You have to be strong to be a Yak, but who you’re dating or what your pronouns are have nothing to do with how strong you are, so go nuts.

Changelings already have a more complicated relationship between self and image than any other creature by the simple fact that they can make themselves look like however they want. In all honesty, terms such as cis or trans might not even apply to changelings. They just are whatever they want to be.

Leaving hippogriffs and ponies as the idyllic best-case-scenario, where everyone is accepting and understanding of the multi-colored tapestry that makes up individuality and your identity is not only accepted, but celebrated.

A little too optimistic? Maybe, but it’s a fantasy world. We can allow it.

Bonus: You would think Thracians would be like dragons and griffons, but they’re surprisingly pretty chill about that sort of thing. They may not celebrate the individuality like Equestria, but there’s no social punishment or stigma attached to it either. Hell, some of the great Thracian poets completely revolved their work around the subject.

Thracian kings like Diomedes took a kind of Roman approach to these sorts of things when it came to their subjects. You can live your life however you please… Just remember who your life belongs to.

I have a couple for these! For The Old Guard, I was really not into Book of Nile at first, but now I kinda love the idea. Them having a slow burn romance and learning to grow together??? That’s a vibe.

And for my darling Crows, I didn’t (platonically) know how to fit Matthias into the group for a very long time. This is less something that other people changed my mind on, and more just me digging around in my own little brain. Now, Jesper and Matthias are a couple of my favourite buddies! And Matthias, Jesper and Wylan as buddies. I mostly just think that Matthias Helvar is criminally underrated in the fandom, and I hope we get a spin-off/season 3– just to see all the crows together, if for no other reason.

D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.

Andy and Bookerrrrrr. It’s a no for me. I think he’s been in and out of infatuation with her multiple times, but it’s a headcanon, not a ship to me.

And anything having to do with Kuwei. I don’t understand the hate he gets, but I also don’t really care about him (that sounds mean— I can sympathise with him as a character, and appreciate the role he serves throughout the books, I’m just not interested in fandomising him at all). He is a plot device that I continually forget about, and when I am reminded of his existence, especially through a pairing, I’m confused and blindsided. I wish I could enjoy/appreciate him more, but unlike the crows, who I can see as young twenty-somethings, Kuwei is firmly planted in “young teenager” energy. He’s un-shippable to me.

Ummm. I don’t really know. I feel like the second season of good omens applies— I haven’t seen the second season, and have little interest in watching it, but I see my mutuals having a grand time with it. And that’s fun!

In a similar vein, Sandman! And more specifically Dreamling! I love this pairing, but have never watched the show because Tom Sturridge makes my eating disorder very loud. But I LOVE the idea of Dream and Hob Gadling, and I still read fic and see it on my dash a bunch.

Also Red, White, and Royal Blue. It was cute, and I enjoyed watching it, but there’s A LOT I really didn’t like about it, and I enjoy it much more for its potential as an au template (👀 I am Looking at You, my friend👀). For fake countries/kingdoms, and different characters. I love how much a lot of my mutuals enjoy it, though, and I see it on my dash a lot! And I’m always happy for us queers to have a frothy and fun little romcom.

So hi, a reintroduction for you all. Hi there, I'm Vex! I'm an anarchist aroace trans man who's taken part in multiple protests for trans rights around the UK. I've been on HRT coming up on two years.

I am living proof that what you spread is utter bullshit. I had been living as a man for 3 years before I was able to qualify for HRT with private healthcare. I got referred to the UK's *only* youth trans clinic in 2018, and I am yet to speak to anybody. Not a doctor, not a nurse, not an absolute soul. They are NOT handing out hormones to kids, and performing surgeries. They, at least in the UK, are actively taking those rights away, delaying the process for years upon years. If you get referred to the Tavistock NOW, in 2023, it is an estimated TWENTY FIVE years.

I had to bend over backwards to get my gender changed, sending them years of bank statements, alongside a doctors note, and any and all ID I had on me at the time - I was without this crucial ID for about 6 months. I frequently suffer HRT shortage delays as a result of stock issues, or sites not wanting to deal with transgender people. I had to try 4 different pharmacies before one would take my perscription.

Being trans is not fucking easy. There's no trans agenda - if there is, where the fuck is it other than your own pitiful, sad imaginations. This server is PATHETIC, by the way. I cannot imagine being so pissed about some gay teen's headcanons that I make an entire server about it. "Queering these characters into oblivion" my fucking arse, they don't HAVE any canon sexualities! Mr Nintendo has never come out and said "Link is a confirmed heterosexual". These headcanons genuinely do nothing to you, and they're not being forced down your throat - you're just homophobic.

And that's the crux of the issue here, isn't it. You talk a big game about welcoming queer people into your server, but you actively platform people like Flowers, or credit known homophobes like Matt Walsh and Jordan Peterson. That's not acceptance. There's no "civil" discussion either - there's only discussion you agree with, even when people are legitimately trying to engage with you in good faith arguments. Which, transparently, was what I was doing. I had hope, for a bit, that I might be able to change your minds. But I can't pretend like you were actually listening.

Like this server wasn't just a hateful front for grown adults getting pissy about headcanons.

You’re not oppressed. Until your love is illegal for hundreds of years, until you’re wiped out by a virus the government won’t do anything about, until you’re denied healthcare for 25 years, until you’re allowed to be legally discriminated against, until books about people like you are taken out of libraries, until you are killed for just being yourself - you are not oppressed. Grow the fuck up, and stop whinging about fictional elves.

have you noticed the fandom obsession with headcanoning everyone as a lesbian? what the fuck is up with that?

the only two m/m ships i am passionate about are ineffable husbands two guys from the saw movies, and in both cases the only evidence of the characters sexualities are either gay men or aguably bisexual men but when i go on twitter everybody puts lesbian flags on them without any irony?? ive been seeing this in other fandoms i dont really follow and its so strange to me.

so saying a female character who only has relationships with women in canon is a lesbian is problematic bc "we cant be sure teehee what if she also likes men" but random m/m ships becoming lesbian ships trough definition magic isnt???

Lol I must admit that as a lesbian, if there’s any female character who doesn’t show interest in men, she’s a lesbian to me 😅 But I don’t think that’s what you’re talking about lol

The people who do it to male characters are so weird. I think it has a lot to do with the obsession of expanding the definition of lesbian and, like gay, seeing it as a personality trait rather than a sexuality. And as I’ve said before, there’s an obsession in the “queer” community with making everything as weird and confusing as possible. Because they’re not people who crave representation, they’re people who crave to be Special And Unique. They’re basically the new version of people making OCs like Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way—trying to find a way to stand out and be Different, and looking ridiculous in the process.

And keep in mind that they hate homosexuality, so they’ll do anything they can to shit on it. That usually means either gleefully stretching the definitions, or refusing to allow any character to be homosexual because it’s oh so important that we consider the possible presence of opposite sex attraction 🙄

In short, I’ve found that the words lesbian and gay in particular have been turned into fun quirky personality words rather than words to describe homosexuality. They’re like sparkly badges to apply to yourself or fictional characters. For example, non-gays going “I’m sooo gay!!” Or just straight up calling themselves gay despite literally not being gay. And with lesbian, it’s basically just a word people use for “The Vibes”. Which is funny, considering how many lesbians, myself included, have worked so hard to unlearn internalised lesbophobia just to be comfortable calling ourselves lesbians.

My First Impression: It was love at first sight with her. I remember watching it with my boyfriend and the minute she came on screen I was sold completely and kept saying ‘I love her’ whenever she did anything. My daughter…

My Impression Now: I miss her every single fucking day.

Favourite thing about her: The way she stands by her values and doesn’t take shit from anyone is something I really admire. That kind of confidence I think is what makes her such a great character. I aspire to have that level of confidence and audacity.

Least favourite thing: Absolutely nothing. She’s perfect.

Favourite line/scene: I go back to her conversation with Yuji about the chairs a lot. Her mentality is one that’s definitely influenced by being a Sorcerer from the countryside, and I really liked that insight we got into it. Really need to write up about said scene someday, there’s so much packed into it.

Favourite interaction with another character: Her first interactions with Yuji upon meeting him are so dear to me. That solidified my love for her.

A character I wish she’d interact with more: One she never interacted with at all, but Choso. I can’t really word why right now, but I feel like there’s a lot that could happen with them.

Another character from a different fandom that reminds me of her: None that I can think of at the moment.

Headcanon: She’s so trans girl to me. This headcanon, alongside all my trans headcanons for JJK, is very important to how I write about her character in AUs and the likes, which I know may be silly, but her backstory and childhood lends itself to a queer narrative in my eyes, if that makes sense?

A song that reminds me of her: Many thoughts about her and Oh No by Marina…

Unpopular opinion: I don’t know if this classes as unpopular, but I don’t necessarily mind her death in the sense it makes sense narratively to me, and that I like how it’s treated narratively. I made a whole post about it and delayed/repressed grief but yeah. I miss her of course, and wish she survived, but I don’t hate the choice, nor do I want her to be alive, as I think that would cheapen the impact of Shibuya and the meaning of her death.

Can I ask an honest question?

I saw that you’re holding back from writing anything about the boys’ queerness (not to say that it’s wrong). I’ve seen other blogs also do the same. Last week I saw another blog that has similar content to yours, refuse to say what she thinks about our boys’ sexualities, because that’s “prying into their privacy”.

I just have this question - how is it okay to assume that members have certain sexual preferences, kinks, fetishes, and so on (basically what your content is), but it’s unethical to say anything about what you think their sexualities are?

We’re all here to share our opinions, and of course none of those assumptions will hold any truth to it, because at the end of the day we don’t know any of the boys personally, right? So I was just curious as to why you think it is not okay for you to say “for me I think *member* is queer”, but it’s completely okay to describe your imagined sexual preferences that you think they have.

Please don’t take this as any form of criticism!! I love your content and I’m always waiting for your posts, because I feel like we should have fun with such things and not take them seriously. That’s why even though for example I don’t think any of the members are gay, why would it be offensive for someone else to assume so? At the end we’re just having fun right?

I’d love to hear your opinion ♥️ and good job on your work! We can see how much thought you put into this!!!!

honestly this is a great point to discuss. not that i think it's a bad thing to headcanon any of them as queer, but ever since i've started writing i have this fine line where i write about sex with both genders, but i try to not express my opinion on their sexuality (maybe because, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter to me?).

i feel like people see smutty things about their idols and doesn't mind because it's their wishful thinking, it's their fantasies that are being written (either it's with a female or male reader, it doesn't matter). we know it's not real and it will never be, all the things i write here fall down this path. but for the sexuality thing, it feels different to me; tell someone "i think x member is gay" and there are sooo many people who would get offended and try to prove you wrong. like, why is that such a bad thing for you? so maybe that's why i don't cross that line, idk. i wish i could explain to you exactly why i feel this way, but i can't, and i'm sorry for that.

just please know that it is NOT because i think it's offensive to think some of them might be queer (and they might, honestly). love is a natural thing, and who they love will never be a problem to me.

thanks for being so nice on approaching this subject, i'm glad we can all talk and discuss like adults in such a safe place, it means a lot to me. ❤️

guidelines

scenarios and/or headcanons? yes! these types of prompts are big on tumblr and i want to cater to the people. they’re fun, too. any number of characters is okay to request as long as it’s realistic. will i do 50 characters at once? no, but i’ll do a bigger group like all six of the BG3 companions. this means i’ll do the same prompt for all six of those characters as well.

how much content in requests? i appreciate specific requests with a lot of content for me to go off of (though i might not use it all), but general requests are fine too. BG3 requests don’t have to be specific to the race and class, but i’m not upset if they are. go crazy.

kinks? any kink is fine with me except rapeplay, something around age regression, fecal fetishes, pee kinks, vomit kinks, and daddy kinks (i shudder at the mention of “daddy” and “kitten”). i should mention that i AM okay with bodily fluids with things like cum eating or a sweat kink, i just can’t do the ones i mentioned before.

any excluded characters? i love evil and morally gray characters, but i won’t write a sappy scenario for a character who’s known for hitting their partner or being abusive in general. realistically, they’ll beat you up too… and not in a fun way. this is a general warning. ascended astarion comes to mind, tbh. he’s too funky for me.

relationships? i’ll write any relationship besides something that’s incestuous. i’ll write something x reader, two characters shipped together, or a whole polycule. any size relationship is fine, really. you can ask for a queer relationship. you can also ask for a gn!reader scenario or a specific-identity prompt. generally, if it’s not important, i’ll just make the reader gn. i noticed there’s not a lot of m!reader content in general, so feel free to ask for that in any fandom.

would you happen to know if nate stevenson ever confirmed glimmer & bow to be bi specifically (like she did with catra & adora being lesbians), or just not straight? don’t get me wrong, i know they’re bi4bi and i’m not dismissing that, but i’m just curious because i feel like if it wasn’t explicitly stated and they weren’t in a wlm/mlw relationship, everyone would be headcanoning glimmer as a lesbian and some would probably want bow to just be a butch lesbian too 😭😭😭 i’m not even saying it happens in this fandom cause idk tbh but i’ve seen it happen so many other times with bi sapphic characters (i.e. poision ivy ofc)

also like… this is probably gonna make #somepeople without proper reading comprehension mad just by misinterpretation of what i’m actually trying to say here but i often presume writers mean “lesbian” as in “sapphic” since the latter isn’t as well known — like, they use it as an umbrella term regardless of whether that’s (historically) correct or not. my prime example would be caitlyn and vi from arcane; i’m absolutely okay with them being lesbians and i’m not erasing that fact at all but i think it’s worth keeping in mind that they weren’t confirmed by riot to be exclusively homosexual/wlw/“nmlnm”/etc. even though they may or may not very well be (i personally agree that they are). it’s another case of the google dictionary being unreliable because it relies on uneducated cishet ideas of queerness + terms so it simply defines “lesbian” as “wlw” (not even inclusive of nonbinary people) and “sapphic” as “relating to lesbians” or something like that.

anyway! sorry for making this too long, i had some thoughts but ended up ranting lol

Nate said “definitely not straight” specifically! I know that’s not the same as saying word for word “they’re bisexual”, but within the context, of both the show, and how neither of them are gay/lesbian, neither of them are aroace, saying “not straight” confirms them to be bisexual!

IMO, since bisexuality is more common and is the blanket statement under pan, omni, poly, etc. when a character is shown to be attracted to 2+ genders, they’re canon bi- now it’s up to the writers or the context of the show to specifically state whether the character is pan or anything else under the bi umbrella :) and it’s the same way in real life! If you want to discuss being attracted to 2+ genders, you will sound bisexual, unless you specify you’re pan etc underneath the bi umbrella

Chase lmao Vi and Caitlyn ARE specifically confirmed to be lesbians, not just sapphic. They are indeed exclusively homosexual wlw. The riot and league of legends twitter page had them with the lesbian flag (the new one, like the orange, white, pink one) so yeah. And this is official art; not like that fanart of Bubbline with the lesbian flag that Cartoon Network used for some godawful reason when they’ve both (or at least Marceline, and possibly Bubblegum) shown attraction to men. You are right about how some people have no reading comprehension skills tho. Like when Willow Wilson said that the latest Poison Ivy run would be loved by fans of lesbian stories and a good portion of readers jumped on that and ran with it and said that Ivy is their “canon” lesbian like uh? Ivy who wants to touch Batman’s pecs Ivy? Ivy who dated (and liked) a boy in college Ivy? Like the discourse around her is just starting to become funny to me now tbh tbh

LOL who would be headcannoning Bow as lesbian? He showed attraction to Sea Hawk, not really open to interpretation, it was quite obvious. I have tho seen him be headcannoned as gay and like. He’s soooo in love with Glimmer that gay headcannon is tone deaf lol.
