Storybrooke/ Childish Peter & Responsible Felix x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Requested // Request Rules
"Not in Neverland, but if you lived with Pan and Felix in Storybrooke or something, I feel like Pan would let you buy whatever you wanted and Felix would have to like, stop you. And it makes me laugh"
A/n - Omg yesss. Lol, I can totally see that! Like if they were modern or in storybrooke, Peter would be like-
"Y/n can have EVERYTHING they want!"
And Felix would be the more reasonable and down to earth one saying stuff like.
"But Peter!! That's so expansive!" Or like "Okay, well, how are we going to pay for that?!"
It would be such a cute situation 😍😂 I might even end up making a cute little drabble about it... 🤔 I don't know; it's up to y'all if y'all want to see it.

***Y/n's Pov***
Life has been a little chaotic ever since Peter and Felix arrived here in Storybrooke. Long story short, we managed to find a happy ever after for all of us.
Lucky for Peter, Regina and Emma allowed him to come with the help of Henry, convincing them, of course.
Now you might be wondering... Why in the world would Peter Pan want to leave Neverland? Well, he didn't. But I wanted to know he's here with me and Felix.
Oh, and by the way, we're all dating... Or at least I'm dating Peter and Felix. They aren't really dating each other since, well, they say they don't swing that way, but anything is better as long as I can love them both equally~!
Time skip!~
A good amount of time has passed since that incident, and people around here are starting to trust us. Which is a good thing since now we won't get a lot of death glares, and we can actually talk to Henry without anyone staring at us.
It felt great being able to just be a part of something, and the lost boys seemed to like their new environment, too. Some of them even have jobs!
Which reminds me of our struggles... Since Peter was the one behind all that havoc, it's kind of hard for him to get one... And besides that, he hasn't even put in a lot of effort into trying.
He'd always say stuff like, "Jobs are for old people. It sucks the life out of everyone!"
Meanwhile, Felix got a job super-fast. Which isn't much of a surprise since he's the responsible one in this relationship... Though, don't tell Peter I said that, or he'll throw a fit.
Anyway, I got a job, too, but it barely pays. I work here at Grannies as a busser. All I do is clean tables and dishes. It isn't hard since we don't get a lot of customers at once, but it's decent.
However, the pay isn't the greatest. It's fine for one person, but I'm with two others... So, we mainly have to rely on Felix's income.
He works as a construction worker, and he barely gets any time off... Especially the giant incident. Tiny literally destroyed half the town. It was a great pay, though.
Anyways, enough of that! Me, Felix, and Peter are currently heading to the grocery store to buy some food for the week.
Felix always hated shopping for food. But I know that's not true. He only hated it when me and Peter tagged along because we'd always add more than what was planned in the cart.
Felix would end up telling us no and to put it back, and Peter would say no to his demand every time, and those two would end up fighting about it all the way home.
It's honestly annoying. If I had enough money, I'd just buy groceries myself...
Anyways, it isn't all that bad. There'll be times when Peter and I would agree into getting something, and we'd pled Felix into buying it for us... That usually works surprisingly well.
Or times when Peter and Felix would agree into buying something, and they'd take it home to show me. Usually, it would turn out to be a gift they think I'd like or food they know I like. I love it when they do it for no reason. It always warms my heart knowing they both agreed to get it just for me~
Overall, life was great. Peter gets along with children surprisingly well. And they end up loving him too; meanwhile, they'd always avoid Felix at all costs. It was pretty funny.
Felix would always have to be the bad guy and pull Peter away from his fun. But that's how it always was. If Peter gets too ahead of himself or starts to think like he owns the place- Felix would always be there to slap some sense into him. And my part- well, my role is to help calm Peter down after he gets slaps.
His 'tantrums' are no joke people. Especially when he's trying his hardest to behave for me. After all, he didn't want this, but I'm sure deep down he actually enjoys it, and I know Felix does too.
He'd always smile for the strangest things... Like every time he finds a word for his crossword puzzle or when he finishes organizing something...
Overall, these two balance each other well, and I'm the glue to this whole ordeal! I wouldn't want it any other way, either~!

all of the stunts- as someone who has been in the fandom since 2011, witnessed stunts live in action etc- have been so poorly developed and played out it’s an absolute monstrosity how the gp actually believed that. here are just a few examples
haige was, in a brief summary, a pathetic attempt to portray harry as whatever they were aiming for. it was so messy and became toxic on harry’s behalf so sudden it was upsetting to witness. paige was an attention seeking person who wanted to gain a persona- even signed w an agency because of her association. it was all really one big mess, people believed H cheated on L (bffr.), L and Z had a fling in who remembers where they went, H and L were over, done nada. i’m unsure how haige is still being mentioned til this day? photos that magically resurface are just the evidence of the failed ordeal.
elounor was used as a punishment for both of the boys. if they acted a certain way on stage, in an interview, said the wrong thing or was in the wrong place at the wrong time it would result in a pap walk or a new article about how famous singer from 1D was going to propose and have kids with the love of his life!! by the end of the stunt the storyline had been fucked up so consistently that there is no consistency in the actual “relationship”. they were on, then off, then on, then off- gretchen, tina, eleanor, what looked like liam in a wig?? yeahh ok very believable on their behalf sure.
i don’t even want to talk about baby gate. babygate was hell on earth. chaotic, and yet probably resembles a performance by 6 year olds. photoshops, fertility clinic, stolen pictures, instagram accounts created JUST months before ‘F’ was born. paternity tests, L randomly getting a woman pregnant because that’s totally responsible from a guy who’s definitely had more meetings about not doing dumb shit whilst off the clock to keep his boyband image.
anyways, i find it funny how people believe the stunts. the stunts that were so painstakingly obvious. ah, just wanted to rant since all i’m seeing is shit about the stunts ✌️
Bless you. Totally agree. There's absolutely zero effort made to make them consistent or believable because why work so hard when the GP and half the fans believe anything they're told? I don't know why people bring up old shit, and then new fans just freak out, and it becomes the topic of the day.

One Night
Gojo Satoru x GN! Reader
Cw - GN! reader, you/yours pronouns, cursing?, angst, comfort, drinking, Maybe it's a bit ooc, no curses AU!
Synopsis - After a break-up you feel totally broken, drinking and doing everything you can to forget your ex-lover.
Word count - 629
Tumblr media
You and Gojo Satoru were dating, you had a complicated relationship, so when life's difficulties came up you decided to break up. In reality, the person who confirmed the break-up was Gojo, you just agreed to it.
Gojo made a lot of mistakes, he didn't pay enough attention to you and he treated you badly, but you made mistakes too. However, you loved him and even after the break-up you still wanted to get back with him, so you tried to nurture the lack of him with other people.
When the night came, you went out and went to parties, kissing various people while trying to forget about him for at least one night. But even with all your efforts, you still thought about him, wanting to apologize.
The night ends and soon the day comes, and with it the hangover. Your head hurts, but not as much as your heart, and you feel nauseous, just like when you had your heart broken a week ago.
You pick up your cell phone to check the time and then you see a notification, it's a new post from Gojo. You quickly throw your phone on the bed and run to the bathroom, feeling the bile rise in your throat.
You lean against the bathroom wall, panting and with your throat scratchy from the gastric acid. Hot tears run down your face as you stare at the ceiling, your head spinning from the mind-blowing pain in your head.
In an act of desperation you run to your room and call Gojo, the phone rings for a few moments and then falls into voicemail. A sigh of resignation escapes your lips and you lie down on the bed, putting your cell phone on the dresser.
"I'm really pathetic..." You whisper to yourself, drowning in a sea of self-deprecation and suffering, but you're soon pulled out of this chaotic atmosphere when you hear your cell phone ringing and vibrating.
"Sukuna?" You read the name on the screen, blinking a few times in disbelief. After a few moments you decide to answer it, wiping your hand across your face to collect yourself.
"Uh, hello?" Your voice comes out in a hoarse tone, holding the cell phone tightly. "You finally picked up, I thought I was going to have to go to your house." His words make you feel confused, leaving the phone on speaker you go to the call log and see that he has called you several times during the night.
"Oh yes, I'm sorry about that, I wasn't very, huh, well..." After these words an uncomfortable silence falls over the two of you, however, the sound of a sigh can be heard, a sigh emitted by Sukuna. "Look, I know it's not easy, but you can't keep acting like this."
You stay silent for a while, sighing and massaging your temple. "What do you mean?" An ironic laugh comes out of your phone, making you roll your eyes. "In that completely irresponsible way, you know that there are people here who really care about you." His words shut you up, preventing any sarcastic comments from coming out of your mouth.
"I know how you feel, but believe me, drinking yourself sick and kissing random people isn't going to solve anything," Ouch, those words were very direct. "Just trust me, you know I can help you, and besides, I care about you, even if you are an irresponsible idiot." You laugh lightly, feeling lighter, still choosing not to say anything.
"Then stop being stubborn and let me help you once and for all." His words come out in a grumpy tone, but you notice the softness behind them.
Maybe it's time to accept the help, who knows where the future might take you...

Bullets & the Demolition Lovers
Tumblr media
Hello everyone! Welcome to my analysis of the wonderful album 'I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love' by the band My Chemical Romance. This analysis consists of my interpretation of each song on the album, as well as the relationship they have with the Demolition Lovers. This is a project I started in the summer of 2023 as a way to better understand the story of the Demolition Lovers, whom I have loved since I proclaimed myself a fan of the band in 2021. It all began with a few videos on YouTube about Revenge (which I will recommend down below if someone is interested). I already knew the story of the Demolition Lovers, but only at a surface level. The videos introduced me to a deeper and more complete version of their story. This also opened the door to all the contradictions, theories, and interpretations that came with this story. I was so captivated by all of this that I decided to delve into this deep rabbit hole and create my own interpretation of the story, and that's how this first analysis was conceived (because there's still left Revenge's). This is a way to better understand this artistic product that I adore with all my heart and also to better comprehend the masterminds behind it. I hope you all enjoy it, both fans of the band and new people interested in this whole new world ♡ ☆SPANISH VERSION: https://spellboundbat.tumblr.com/private/738189905537220608/tumblr_3qij8SfTzrPPDo1BE
Disclaimer!
Although I will be providing verifiable sources with my statements (as well as clarifying when they are not 100% reliable), I will also be discussing subjective interpretations of the majority of the songs, which may be based on interpretations commonly accepted by the fandom or the artists, but that are ultimately guided by what I consider :D
Sources can be found throughout the entire analysis in keywords related to what is been talked about.
Sorry for repeating the word "song" 86 times, really, please accept my most sincere apologies.
This analysis is quite chaotic btw.
1. Romance
There's not much to analyze in this song. It's the album's intro. It barely lasts a minute and has no lyrics. It's an instrumental with a Spanish guitar played by Ray Toro. The song is a kind of adaptation of an even older 19th-century song called "Spanish Romance" or "Romance Anónimo" (or a thousand other names, there are too many names for this song).
Allegedly, the original piece appeared in the soundtrack of the movie Dawn of the Dead, and thanks to this, they included it here (the movie is very relevant to this album and to Gerard Way; it's one of his favorite movies, and later in the analysis, we'll notice more references). Now, I say 'allegedly' because I couldn't confirm this information. I found a group of people on Reddit talking about it, and even though I searched for the movie and the supposed time-stamp, I couldn't find it. But I trust the fans :D . So, we leave this information here.
2. Honey, this mirror isn’t big enough for the two of us.
Finally, let's begin, and with a quite strong one...
The narrator (our protagonist) begins by narrating his problems with alcohol and drugs, indicating a strong dependence on these substances. He also explains other self-destructive behaviors and routines, apparently he has been hanging out with ''friends'' who are not much of a good influence, a possible reference to vampires (we will touch on this topic later). In response to all of this, he states that this has been the life he has chosen and that he doesn't care about anything else anymore.
In addition to explaining all of this, it is implied that what he is narrating is part of a discussion with his partner, who does not seem to agree with his self-destructive behavior. They have many fights, and it's possible that this has become normal in their relationship.
Throughout the entire song, the protagonist keeps repeating these verses, but that seem to be antitheses of each other:
“And well, I find it hard to stay With the words you say Oh baby, let me in Oh baby, let me in’’
and,
“And you can cry all you want to I don't care how much You invest yourself in me We're not working out (we're not working out)’’
It's strange; these are two verses that come one right after the other, but nonetheless deliver two contradictory messages, right?
In one, it explains how, despite the pain caused by what his beloved is saying, he wants to enter and continue being part of her world, to continue the relationship. While the other has a tone of indifference, apathy, and insensitivity, revealing that no matter how much she tries, their relationship is not working.
But I feel that it is precisely these contradictory feelings that make this song so unique, soul-crushing and personal.
The protagonist's feelings are NOT coherent, and neither is his relationship. It's a turbulent relationship, just like everything else in his life.
After having dived into the vast world of super abusive couples (help), I started to notice that these kinds of strong and yet contradictory feelings are often recurring patterns. These relationships are not famous for their stability and coherence but for their explosiveness and codependency. I feel that this is what is explained here.
Our protagonist's life revolves around these themes: codependency and destruction, whether in his personal relationships or with what he consumes and the decisions he makes.
I forgot to mention that his beloved is cheating on him with his friends and HIS BROTHER, fjskahfsjkdhfjsdf...
But well, after so much elaborate analysis, we have the real and simplest interpretation from the author ¯\(ツ)/¯:
“This song is about sucking dick for cocaine.” Gerard Way, 2007
youtube
YOU'LL HAVE TO TAKE IT AS CANON, OK? ok...
3. Vampires will never hurt you
It's one of the first songs I heard from this album and one of my all-time favorites (for obvious reasons, *cough, cough* VAMPIRES *cough, cough*). And IT'S AMAZING, but kind of complex. I put a lot of effort into my draft analysis :D
ॐ ☆*☆*☆*☆ ॐ
First, I would like to explain what the concept of "vampires" means in this album.
The vampires serve as a metaphor for toxic people in your life, bad influences who are only with you to take advantage of you. They are greedy and traitorous. This metaphor is not only explored in this album but in various eras of MCR (up to the present day :D !!!).
I mean, how could you not use vampires? They're very cool. According to a quote from an interview talking about 'Headfirst for Halos', Gerard says:
“That song [Headfirst for Halos] and ‘Vampires Will Never Hurt You’ both gave us a real sense of identity. They brought in the entire gothic thing. It was those songs that made people think we were a vampire band!”
And, being completely honest, that's very real. It happened to me too. That was one of the main reasons why I started liking this band djfksjdfkldsaf. LIKE, JUST LOOK AT THIS:
youtube
THEY WERE DRESSED AS VAMPIRES FOR THE OFFICIAL VIDEO!!!!
Tumblr media
it looks like he doesn't even get old *sus*
Tumblr media
TAKE A LOOK AT 2022 GERARD FCKING WAY. DARE I SAY, ICONIC. DID I FORGET TO MENTION THAT THE DUDE'S 46 YRS OLD?!?!?!?!?
...
Well, I've digressed, but we're back now...
Now, what happens in this song is as follows:
The story is once again set between a protagonist and his beloved.
He starts by telling his beloved that if "they" catch them, she should pierce his heart with a stake. He then wonders if the sun will tear their skin and if he will watch as the vampires rip her apart while biting and tearing their necks with their white and sharp fangs. He then desperately asks to be taken to a doctor or a church to extract his "poison" while begging his beloved to protect her own soul and, if necessary, to drive the stake through him.
I know all of this is too much, but don't worry, I'll explain it now.
For those who don't have much knowledge about vampires, everything narrated here are classic references to the stories of these beings.
First, the stake through the heart is a way to end vampires, which suggests that our protagonist has become one or is on the verge of becoming one (MEGA IMPORTANT FACT!!!). It is also mentioned how the sun is lethal for vampires (in most cases, because there are cases where they come out like a damn shiny Twilight vampire), and if humans find them and turn them into vampires and leave them in the sun, they will die.
Among other references, it is implied that both of them will die if she does not end it with him as soon as possible, as the monsters will only harm her if she stays with the protagonist.
In theory, that's what the song is about. It's like a classic horror story, with nods to our favorite blood-sucking monsters and it seems to end in tragedy (love it tho).
However, it gets more complicated and even better...
What I just described is the literal interpretation of this beautiful song. This song, like any form of art, can be analyzed literally (through text) or metaphorically (with interpretations and analyses of subtext, among other things). As I mentioned in my disclaimer, this is my interpretation of the song, based on the data I could gather and what I feel it conveys to me specifically.
Do you remember the meaning that vampires carry? Well, this is where the concept is going to be explored.
Our protagonist (similar to the protagonist of the previous song) has been hanging out and befriending these "vampires."
This is suggested by the line:
“We're hanging out with corpses, And driving in this hearse’’
Here, we confirm that vampires are not simple enemies; the protagonist had decided to hang out with them.
And it comes with its consequences; this has caused him a lot of harm, so much that it begins to affect his beloved.
[That's just like The Lost Boys (GREAT movie btw).]
He doesn't want her to end up badly, and she wants to fight for their love. She wants to help him so that they both get out of this problem together. That's why the song says:
“They come in pairs she said, "We'll shoot back holy water Like cheap whiskey, they're always there" ”
He feels remorse for his actions, wants to be purified, thinks about his love for her, how much he loves her, but he knows it's too late. He has also become one of them—a vampire. In our metaphor, this represents a turbulent and toxic person, which is the real harm he will do to her if they don't distance themselves. She would also become a self-destructive person, and both will end up digging their own graves.
But he doesn't want that. As the final and definitive proof of his unconditional love, he decides to ask her to end him to put the stake through his heart...
(Here, it could be argued whether it's in a literal sense, like she just dies, or that they simply cut ties and dissolve their relationship).
I love the parallel with the previous song. In both, the protagonist has become an unstable and toxic person, and this begins to affect their partner. However, while in one, the relationship becomes monstrous and they are miles away from saving it, in the other, the mutual love is still there, and they decide to separate instead of destroying each other.
Anyway,
I LOVE THIS SONG WITH ALL MY BEING. THIS TRAGIC VAMPIRIC LOVE STORY IS EVERYTHING MY HEART CRAVES <3.
4. Drowning Lessons
OUR FIRST SONG RELATED TO THE DEMOLITION LOVERS!
I must be honest, this song causes me too much confusion, and I still haven't fully deciphered it.
Nevertheless, I will try to explain what I have.
The song refers to certain events that repeat day after day in the life of our protagonist.
He imagines how he kills his beloved.
Yes, how he kills her.
Also, how he remembers that he will never be able to marry her.
These are the themes of the song put in the simplest way; the complicated part begins now.
We know that the song is related to their upcoming album, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge," thanks to the line:
"A thousand bodies piled up."
This is a direct reference to the story where the man Demolition Lover (for a lack of a better name?) has to kill 1,000 bad men to be reunited with his beloved.
But there are several problems that complicate everything:
By referencing the 1,000 men, we know that chronologically, this song has to take place after the events of the song "Demolition Lovers," but I don't know at what point in "Revenge" this song would fit in.
The song talks about how HE killed his beloved, which, if we include it in the revenge lore, changes its meaning completely. I don't know if within the lore, this should be considered as a metaphor (following the themes presented by this album so far) that he "killed" her by dragging her into the world of crime (the Demolition Lovers were a couple of criminals who supposedly died when the police caught them) or if we should take this literally and accept that the demolition lover killed his beloved, and he relives this event every day due to trauma.
I think, in the end, I will leave the analysis of the lore here and come back when I finish the one for Revenge, since I KNOW that this song is essential to understanding the true story of "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge," but until I analyze it myself, I won't draw conclusions...
SPOILERS FOR THE MANGA OF NANA AHEAD! Why Nana? Because it haunts me everywhere; this story has affected my life too much (help).
Returning to the song, it reminds me too much of Ren Honjo, one of the characters from the anime and manga Nana.
Everything goes wrong with this character since you find out that he is based on Sid Vicious, the bassist of the Sex Pistols, FAMOUS (in part) BECAUSE HE WAS ACCUSED OF MURDERING HIS GIRLFRIEND NANCY SPUNGEN!!!!!!
It's just that Ai Yazawa didn't base it subtly; just look at them:
Tumblr media
They both play the bass, have a padlock chain, and style their hair in the same way. IN THE SERIES, THEY KEEP SAYING HOW MUCH THEY RESEMBLE EACH OTHER; IT'S VERY DELIBERATE.
Well, what happens is that Ren has a relationship with Nana. And they are very, VERY toxic. Jealousy and possessiveness mixed with the explosiveness of their love are what most characterize their relationship.
And, there's a point in the manga, a very low moment for Ren, where he confesses that sometimes he fantasizes about killing Nana. If you're a fan and follow the manga, this moment really hits hard, especially if you know EVERYTHING their relationship has gone through.
Personally, listening to this song conveys feelings similar to those with the manga. It's such a delicate, horrible, but complex issue at the same time... But it's largely thanks to this complexity of conflicting feelings that gives them the status of great works of art. Representing humans in their most beautiful moments, but also having the ability to do so with their lowest points, gives the work an incredible sense of realism. The characters cease to be mere fiction to embody the stories of flesh-and-blood people.
...
I feel like I should also mention that the members of MCR say that this song is cursed, lol. And that's why they don't play it in concerts. They say this because the few times they have tried to play it, something always goes wrong (technical failures).
End of fun facts, we'll see each other again when it's time for the analysis of Revenge :D
5. Our Lady of Sorrows
I know we just went through a somewhat confusing song, but I'm sorry to inform you that this one surpasses it in levels of confusion :(
My brain almost exploded trying to understand what this song wanted to tell me.
But I think that's the essence of the song, that nothing fits and it doesn't make sense xd (I'll elaborate more on that later).
When I first heard it, without paying much attention to the lyrics, it gave me the feeling that it was a very sad and violent song, VERY VIOLENT. In the chorus, the guitars sound like freaking chainsaws, and there's a very strong feeling of sore throat from screaming so much, very metal.
And everything got worse with lines like:
"Just because my hand's around your throat"
LIKE, HE'S CHOKING THEM, WHAT ELSE DO THEY WANT ME TO THINK?!?!?
I was absolutely sure its meaning was going to be very intense.
Until it wasn't.
Later, I find out that it's a song about friendship. But not necessarily a turbulent or dangerous one like the other songs. No. A good and unconditional friendship.
Yes, I wasn't understanding anything, and my mind exploded.
Until I took the time to look up for interpretations from fans and the band on the internet, and now I consider it 100% an anthem to friendship and a very freaking beautiful song <3
How ironic life is, right?
Now I proceed to explain:
Apparently, Gerard at concerts, when he's about to sing this song, always says something like: "You probably came with your best friend or one of your best friends... I want you to turn to that motherf--ker, grab him by the throat and say, 'You're my best f--king friend, and I would die for you!'."
Also, when they say the lines in the chorus:
"Stand up f--king tall, don't let them see your back,"
and,
"Take my f--king hand and never be afraid again,"
It refers to the fact that there are people in the world who will want to mess with you, that life itself will mess with you; but if you have your friends there, then you'll be fine. They will be with you and do whatever it takes for you, to help you, because they love you.
This message is often repeated in MCR's overall proposal when dealing with dark themes; where one often feels abandoned, the band wants you to move forward, have a good support network, people, and things that make us happy and make us understand that life can be beautiful too (this is also linked to the creation of the band, but we'll leave that for later).
This song has been adopted by the fandom almost as an anthem, symbolizing our fraternity and unity <3.
Now, about the lines and the general violent feeling of the song, I have to say two things:
Like, now having the context about the meaning of friendship and what Gee usually says at concerts, the violent lines don't sound SOOO absurd. I mean, there are times when friends joke like that. But it's still kinda weird without context, bro.
Ray Toro, My Chemical Romance's lead guitarist, wrote the music and brought it to Gerard, who wrote the lyrics. "It fitted because it didn’t really fit," Gerard recalled in Tom Bryant's Not the Life It Seems: The True Lives of My Chemical Romance. "That was something we always wanted to do – to put songs together that shouldn’t work together but do. This song was really aggro and metal...'' Now, it makes more sense that it sounds violent, right?
Before moving on to fun facts, I would like to mention how I believe there is more meaning than I explained in the song, possibly one more related to the religious parallelism it carries. But since this has already messed up so much with my mind , I'll stick with the conclusion I brought, which is usually the meaning that comes to my mind when I think of this song.
Now, to finish, fun facts:
The name "Our Lady of Sorrows" is a devotion to the Virgin Mary. If I remember correctly, I think it comes from the fact that Gee went to a Catholic elementary school (;-;) and they had a statue of this virgin.
I saw somewhere on the internet that the song is based on an experience Gerard had with a nun also in his Catholic elementary school (religious trauma? :0).
Gerard said that his favorite lyric ever is from this exact same track:
"Oh, how wrong we were to think that immortality meant never dying."
It's just beautiful.
Tumblr media
A POSSIBLE REFERENCE TO THE SONG IN ONE OF THEIR MOST RECENT LOGOS??
6. Headfirst for Halos
Help, this song is pure depression (or does it help you with it?)
Well, it's because it's about it.
...
Depression and contemplation of suicide. Also, drug use:
"And now these red ones make me fly And the blue ones help me fall."
One referring to antidepressants and the other to drugs...
And it contains many allegories to the story of Peter Pan (with the "pixie dust" and the thinking happy thoughts to be able to fly). This may be because Gerard played Peter Pan in a play in elementary school jdjsfjdslkf.
Tumblr media
Random photo of Frank as Peter Pan, lol.
The song is supposed to have started as a joke. They were high and having a blast. At first, Gerard thought:
''...this is the catchiest, popiest, stupidest shit I have ever heard''.
But as Gee continued with the song, he realized the potential it had and turned it into this genius piece, by adding the really dark lyrics to it.
It's worth noting that in his early 20s, he experienced issues with alcohol and drugs, as well as struggled with depressive episodes.
There's a quote of him that I like very much talking about this song, relating it to that topic:
Gerard: Really quick, just to save you some time, it’s a song about being really depressed, on a lot of anti-depressants, and wanting to kill yourself. But instead of doing that, I just wrote a song about it, so...that’s what you should do if you ever wanna kill yourself. Interviewer: Write a song? Gerard: Write a song about it.
...♡...
I believe that the line "Think happy thoughts" is one of the most poignant in this song. There are times when our minds are infested with intrusive thoughts that don't let us live in peace. There are other times when these thoughts are not just thoughts; they are also an illness. And having to live with this can make us desperately and endlessly repeat to ourselves, "Just think happy thoughts, happy thoughts..."
7. Skylines and Turnstiles
This was the first song ever written by MCR. Here, it talks to us about 9/11 (an event that led to the creation of the band) and the widespread feeling that was experienced across the world, especially among American youth, after the attack. Feelings of despair, loneliness, abandonment...
Feelings that this track perfectly encapsulates. It is a vivid description of what the traumatic event was for many.
I also believe it tells us a lot about its author, our dear Gerard Way: his desire to do something different that can help people, which awakened in him after witnessing this heartbreaking event and led him to deeply question everything he was doing at the moment, his job, his life, and the world in general.
This is evident in the line:
"And if the world needs something better Let's give them one more reason now."
This desire founded the band, and I think it has been fulfilled, as throughout all these years, they have helped millions of people with their music <3.
8. Early Sunsets Over Monroeville
“😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭’’.
Warning: This is one of the most emotionally painful songs on the album!
As with "Vampires Will Never Hurt You," this song is related to the undead, the protagonist's dilemma and his lover, references to pop culture, and literal and possible metaphorical meanings :)
It all begins as the protagonist describes beautiful sunrises and sunsets while holding hands with his beloved, imagining together that their life is perfect, like a movie.
Then, the ZOMBIE PLOT begins!!!
[This song is heavily based on the 1978 movie 'Dawn of the Dead,' one of Gerard's favorite films. Throughout these 5:05 mins, we will notice multiple references to the plot.]
To summarize, the couple tries to survive a zombie attack in a mall in Monroeville (as in the movie), but plot twist, the girl gets bitten. And here is where the dilemma comes in; the protagonist wonders if anyone notices or even cares about what's happening. He reproaches himself for not having the guts to end what was once his beloved.
Here arises a moral dilemma similar to that in "Vampires," "Do I shoot her or not? Do I end her life? Can we even call it 'life' anymore? She's not here anymore, right?..."
I guess it could also be given a metaphorical analysis; I feel it could take on a meaning similar to "Vampires" itself, after all, I've highlighted multiple parallels between the two songs... The problem is that I think they need to represent different themes for me.
Let me explain, I wouldn't want the two songs to be exactly the same, I want the emotions they convey to be different. That's why I'm reluctant to give them the same interpretation. That's also why I was racking my brain looking for other possible metaphorical meanings until I gave up. I also didn't want it to turn into finding pretentious meanings just for the sake of having them. I wanted what I wrote here to be what I felt when listening to it. So, for this reason, it won't have (from my side) a metaphorical analysis.
(I forgot to mention that theoretically, it could also be analyzed in terms of social critique; but as I stated before, personally it'll just feel really forced if I do that, really like that feeling of tragic romance too. However, the possibility is still there, and for those interested, they can read this post idk: https://oneweekoneband.tumblr.com/post/149709926794/theres-a-corpse-in-this-bed-early-sunsets-over).
Now, for me, if this song doesn't carry another meaning that isn't so connected with everyday life without zombies, how can it be so heartbreaking? Ahhhhh, good question :D , here comes the other reason why this song is great... The interpretation.
I mean, listen to it again, now more attentively. You feel a ballad-type song with beautiful poetry, descriptions that can get personal without necessarily identifying with the need to kill your zombie girlfriend, melancholy, nostalgia, it's all there. And, what for me hits the nail on the head perfectly: Gerard Way's voice and emotion with his performance. It's simply heartbreaking.
This is what makes it one of the most emotionally painful songs without the need to explain them metaphorically. The literal explanation, the one about the 1978 zombies, works to make you burst into tears, and that's magnificent.
Time for some fun facts:
This started out as a tender ballad, but producer Geoff Rickly sensed there was something darker brewing under the surface and encouraged Gerard to tap into it. "Just go with what's inside your head. Don't even listen to the music," Rickly recalled telling him before his explosive performance. The producer told MCR biographer Tom Bryant (Not the Life It Seems: The True Lives of My Chemical Romance) the rest of the band was left shaken in the aftermath of the rage-fueled session. "Afterwards, everybody just left and went outside to smoke cigarettes because they couldn't deal with looking at him after he had sung that," he explained. "He had just ripped himself open in front of everybody. He'd taken it so far that it was uncomfortable for anyone who was friends with him. They hadn’t seen him as Gerard the singer, they still saw him as their buddy Gerard. It's a little scary to see someone do what he did."
(This song gives me vibes of a sad AU on AO3 for some reason)
9. This is the best day ever
This song is about our protagonist who is in the hospital and meets a patient, and they fall in love. They promise each other that they will escape from the hospital together, and when that day comes, it will be the best day of their lives.
Now, I have enough evidence to start suspecting the existence of the girl in question. First, we know that the protagonist is sick; we don't know the type of illness, but what we do know is that his time in the hospital has affected him mentally (whether it has worsened any mental issues he already had or if his time in the hospital has caused it). He is not mentally well, suffering a lot of stress, which may possibly lead to hallucinations 🤨. However, everything becomes even stranger when one hears the following line that are repeated a couple of times during the song:
"Well, I thought I heard you say, 'I like you, we can get out, We don't have to stay, stay inside this place.'"
CLEARLY, HE IS SO DISORIENTED THAT HE IS NOT EVEN SURE IF THE GIRL SAID THAT, but his pain and stress inside the hospital are so intense that he ends up inventing a whole story in his head, poor thing.
(Obviously, I know nothing about mental health issues, and maybe I'm completely off, but well, I think the song is more interesting this way).
10. Cubicles
oh shit. i love this fucking song so much…
Ok, in summary, it's about the protagonist's crush at work who never paid attention to him and then left the office. The protagonist talks about how he had her absolutely idealized, both her and a hypothetical relationship.
When he faces reality, where she doesn't even notice him and leaves work just like that, he collapses. He sinks into his intrusive thoughts, repeating to himself that nobody notices him, feels him, or cares about him. He's tired of the same routine, obsessing over someone, and it ultimately leading nowhere. Until he thinks he'll die alone, won't do anything with his life, and will just die someday. At a very low point, he confesses that he "prefers" to die alone, or at least to just die.
It's simply devastating. It's the fucking idealization of life and relationships, and how living with these expectations leads us to believe in a story that isn't real and drown ourselves in our own misery.
It reminds me of a VERY good video essay on YouTube that is the best thing that has happened to me, and I recommend it to everyone. It deals with the same theme, of course, in more depth. WATCH IT :D
youtube
AND NOW, FINALLY, it's time for our last and most awaited song...
11. Demolition Lovers
youtube
This is one of the longest and most beautiful songs (yes, I said it) in all of MCR.
It's iconic. The beginning of Revenge and the creation of one of the most relevant emo tragic love stories.
It's practically the story that the average fan of the band knows:
Two characters. They are a couple. Apparently, with no given names, only known as the Demolition Lovers. A kind of Bonnie and Clyde criminal couple on the run. In the end, a story with a tragic romantic "ending", them escaping from the police, ending their days in a hail of bullets and a pool of blood (from a shooting, in other words) where they profess how much they love each other as they gaze at one another in their last breaths.
Throughout the song, the protagonist tries to emphasize A LOT how much he loves her and that he would do EVERYTHING to prove his love to her. He recounts that after everything they went through and everything they put each other through (reference to "Drowning Lessons"?), he just wants to end up with her (the entire plot of Revenge, basically).
[Can we please take a moment to admire how beautiful this song is musically speaking? I don't know much about music like a musician does, I just mean that this song is BEAUTIFUL, and that abrupt pause in the middle with the guitar is ART>>>>>>>] *end of intermission*
I would like to highlight a couple of things and lines from this song that I think will be key or can be better understood when I do the future analysis of Revenge:
As I briefly highlighted, their relationship was also (of course, lol) turbulent; it may share certain themes with the couples from the other songs, thanks to the verse:
"I'm trying, I'm trying To let you know just how much you mean to me And after all the things we put each other through and’’
He is desperate to prove himself to his beloved, SO BAD that I don't think it's in a conventional way. It is SO prominent throughout the entire song that it raises many doubts for me. What exactly went wrong? What exactly does the Demolition Lover girl think about this? And the BIG question that "Drowning Lessons" left us with... did he kill her? dun, dun, DUN… ~*suspense*~ ...
◦ Conclusion <3
I love how this album keeps bringing up the same themes and discourses throughout its 11 songs. On the one hand, we could think of them as connected, and that it's really the same story, but I think that would be too fucking much. I believe that after so much analysis (for now), the only songs that have a direct connection to the story of the Demolition Lovers are "Drowning Lessons" and, obviously, "Demolition Lovers."
But that doesn't take away from the fact that, in MESSAGE , many are still connected. This reminds me of an anthology of different stories, like books or series. They can be told together but are not necessarily interconnected per se; their motives and meanings are.
I think this is what makes me feel this album with its interpretation, lyrics, and stories, an anthology of conceptual songs strongly based on horror stories with tragic tones and gothic romances that also let us see more about its author, understand him better, since, after all, art is a reflection of the artist and their experiences.
Bullets talks to me about idealization and disillusionment, helplessness, angst, anger, illness, loneliness, toxic people, but also about love and eternal friendship, those who genuinely appreciate you...
Bullets allows me to indulge into and experience each of these themes for myself and brings to the table a very important conversation about ourselves. We are not perfect, we are all full of flaws, and that's okay; we can all become reckless bullets that hurt our loved ones or even ourselves by piercing them with painful "truths" and destructive behaviors. This is what the main metaphor of this album, the "bullets," means to me. And as the beautiful ending reiterates to the point of exhaustion:
“all we are, all we are is bullets, I mean this’’ ♡‌
This is my take on this album: beautiful musical ( and even literary) pieces filled with stories about turbulent, passionate, chaotic, and chemical romances...
♡+:;;:+♫+:;;:+♡+:;;:+♫+:;;:+♡+:;;:+♫+:;;:+♡
My utmost respect to anyone who has read this complete analysis; it took me quite a while to do it (me and my hyperfixations ¯\(ツ)/¯). I hope it has been enjoyable and miraculously made someone love this amazing band even more <3
Any criticism or discussion you'd like to have, feel free to engage; I'd be more than happy :D

Ship ranking?? Uhhhh I want in!
The most random ships I have:
Mithian / Vivian, Mithian could turn out to be the one to free Vivian from the enchantment and make her into a better person!
Hunith /Uther or Ygraine / Balinor or Hunith /Ygraine etc etc. All the combinations
Gwaine / Elena I just think they're neat. They both have chaos energy. Plus, Elena's Father seems like a chill guy who would accept a peasant (who isn't actually a peasant huhhhhhhh)
Hear me out... Finna / Alator.
Nimueh / Freya
Julius Borden / Will
I swear I am not throwing these name out randomly there's a thought process behind it
Like Nimueh is of the old religion, so maybe she finds Freya after death in Avalon. And Freya being the kind soul she is can help her heal and grow out of her hatred.
And for Julius and Will... Picture a world where Will didn't die. And now everyone thinks he is a sorcerer. Julius hears rumours of the son of the last dragon lord living in Ealdor. So he goes there and he assumes it's Will, and Will just agrees to cover for Merlin, so he has to fake being a Dragon lord until the letter he sent reaches Merlin to warn him and to idk get help? But huh huh they actually fall in love.
Okay! There’s a lot here and I’m going to unpack all of them! This is fun!
Mithian / Vivian
I’m in favor of lesbian queens ruling a kingdom together, but also I like Mithian and feel she deserves better than Vivian. And I really dislike Vivian because she was mean to Gwen and I adore Gwen. I’m just not that interested in Vivian’s character, personally. I think Mithian, Gwen, and Morgana are all more interesting in her. So for that reason I rank it:
E-Tier
Hunith /Uther
No. Just no. Okay I know Uther was probably not always a genocidal maniac, but to quote Brennan Lee Mulligan “Before you were a fascist, you were a bully.” I think Hunith deserves to get her needs met by someone who would not one day gleefully send her son to the pyre. I rank this ship:
E-Tier
Ygraine / Balinor
Ohhhhh now this has some interesting vibes. Does Ygraine have a romance with Balinor before meeting Uther? Does she find out that Uther cheated on her, and got revenge on Balinor? Was it both? Does that mean that Uther and Ygraine were an arranged marriage? If so that makes Uther and even bigger hypocrite by using her death to justify his hatred.
For sheer implications and intrigue, I rank this:
C-Tier
Hunith /Ygraine
Ooooo a parallel to Arthur and Merlin, hell yes. I’m in favor of more sapphic romances in this fandom, and this could be fun. But also I now want an extremely cracky one shot where Merlin and Arthur are dating and introduce their moms, only for their moms to start hooking up, much to the horror of Merlin and Arthur.
I rank this:
C-Tier
Gwaine / Elena
I see this one a lot in the background of fics and I’m never much of a fan. It’s just a little too quirky for me. Like I’m sure there’s a fic out there that could get me to ship it, but most of the time it feels like people just want to ship the chaotic one with the chaotic one. It rarely feels thought out to me, and often feels like shoehorning it in because everyone needs to be a couple.
That said, it’s never enough to make me click away from a fic. And I could see how I would enjoy it if there was more time and thought put into their relationship. I mean, Gwaine is wandering rogue pre season 4. Chances are he ended up in Gawant at some point right?
I rank it:
C-Tier
For the potential
Finna / Alator
Tbh? In my soul, this is canon.
B-Tier
Nimueh / Freya
I just feel like Nimueh would trigger Freya. Super powerful, super scary, witch lady? After Freya got cursed dating Nimueh would just set Freya up to be terrified all the time. I don’t vibe with it. Also I think Freya has been through enough and doesn’t need to be fixing Nimueh.
I rank it:
D-Tier
Julius Borden / Will
Here’s the thing, I love Borden as a character but I like to make him Merlin’s shitty ex. I know the go to is Cenred, but he has way more chemistry with Borden.
So as far as shipping him with Will? Idk man. I’d maybe be tempted to read the fic you described because it sounds fun as hell, but Borden is just such a fun scummy piece of shit that I don’t ship him seriously with anyone. So without reading that fic, going on vibes alone…. I rank it:
D-Tier
Send me a Merlin Ship and I’ll rank it on a tier list. Note: This is a subjective ranking and a low ranking in no way means that I am shaming you for your taste in ships.

ok idk if ur still doing the ship thing and ik i already asked you about some but thoughts on acesan?
you can ask me anything, whenever you want. never getting tired of giving my opinion and knowing people kind of care about what i have to say! and besides, i've been thinking about this ship a lot so i appreciate it <3
I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!! ace was sanji's bi awakening. i just know. it's so real. i'm so glad we all as a fandom agree on this. their scenes together are so gay for literally no reason??? like seriously, what was the point of their dynamic being so homoerotic. ace lighting up sanji's cigarette??? at this point just kiss him and get over with this oh my god, ace... he's not subtle.
okay but it's not only the homoeroticism of it all. it's also the fact that their pasts are so well synced. they match so well!!
sanji's brothers have always treated him horribly. he went through so much physical and emotional trauma because of them that the thought of siblings having a good relationship is completely weird for him. he doesn't have good memories of his brothers, but he knows how they should have treated him. the way they acted isn't how someone that should love you acts. those are not his brothers. so the concept of a brother loving him is completely foreign to him.
and then he meets ace.
ace, who looks after luffy constantly. ace, who's worried about how his brother is doing. ace, who's polite and kind and a genuinely good person. ace, who's obviously luffy's brother because he is also a menace to society. ace, who would do anything for luffy. ace, whose priority will always be luffy.
and, you know, that's weird for sanji. a brother who cares. who loves. who fights for his little brother. who wants to be with him. who loves him. who has missed him during the years they've been apart. and it makes sanji wonder why his brothers weren't like this, if it isn't that hard, really, to love him. maybe it's just his own fault.
and it's such a great dynamic to explore! because, for sanji, luffy is just so lucky to have ace. and ace is literally the peak of kindness. sanji lacks brotherly love, ace is literally made to be luffy's brother, and for sanji that's literally so, so beautiful...
it helps, too, that ace is extremely hot (cliché pun extremely intended).
it's not only the whole "ace being a good brother" thing, though. it's also their pasts. feeling worthless and undeserving of love. of living. they both feel out of place and often pretend to be what they're not. they can't love themselves and are always appreciating the fact that they have people who love them. it's such a good ship because it explores both of them learning to love and to be loved!
i like the ship for these things, but also because it's so, so funny.... ace is so chaotic and he tries to be all teasing and cool and hot. and he's just a failguy sometimes. because he's a fucking idiot. and sanji finds that endearing. also, sanji being all done with him because he is, indeed, an idiot, is the funniest thing ever. and sanji is the most bottomest of the bottoms, so of course he likes ace.
idk i really like their dynamic and it's wayyyy deeper and more interesting than what people make it look!!

You have some of the best takes on the events that happened in Silmarillion and I wanted to know your opinion/stance on something. Do you consider Fingolfin an 'usurper' when Feanor and Finwe left in exile? Because as someone new in the fandom (there's honestly a lot to unpack), so many interpretations/takes believe he was actually trying to usurp Feanor (*sighs* typical feanorian apologists/followers). I myself didn't see him as a usurper, I thought he was taking the initiative to become a leader because his father (I understand Finwe was well-loved more than Indis, but he pisses me off on so many levels, dude was so bad at being a dad, he should've never desire for more children if he's going to neglect them in the end) joined Feanor (eww favoritism) in exile and that left Tirion kingless. So why were people whining that he was a 'usurper'? I'll never get that.
Aw thank you, I'm glad you enjoy them! (*/ω\*) This book really gets my brain whirring. There is definitely a lot to unpack, and my views on events and characters has absolutely changed in the last two years since I first read the book and have had more time to re-read it and reflect.
Fingolfin as a usuper is a fanon notion and it's not one I buy into. I think it goes hand-in-hand with the take that Feanor and Fingolfin are both equally responsible for the state of their relationship, which is not true. Feanor began this, Feanor escalated it, and Feanor was the first to bring weapons and deadly threats into it. Even if Fingolfin at times retaliated or started squabbles of his own, I still see Feanor as the primary instigator of their "rivalry," particularly considering it's noted that he also doesn't like Finarfin (it's just that he sees Fingolfin, as Indis' oldest son, as a greater threat, so Fingolfin gets more of his (negative) attention).
Going under a cut because as usual I rambled lol
However, I don't really agree that Finwe was a notably terrible father. I mean certainly you can read that into it, it's just not how I prefer to read it. Finwe made mistakes, as many parents in Silm did, but I don't think he didn't love his other children or that he obviously and outright preferred Feanor to the others, and I don't see any evidence that he neglected Indis' kids. I think he followed Feanor into exile because he felt very strongly Feanor had been wronged by the Valar and wanted to make a statement about it, and perhaps he felt he needed to be even more vocal in taking Feanor's side throughout his life because of what happened with Miriel (particularly given Feanor's tendency to view himself as the victim already). It is also relevant to note I think that they were most likely all adults when this happened, so it's not that he was abandoning minor children.
Was it irresponsible to leave Tirion kingless? Yeah, totally. Right after their crown prince was exiled for publicly threatening the life of his own family member? Bound to be a chaotic time in the city (relative to the past, not to things to come :')) Finwe is someone who I can see being a little myopic--he's not always good at seeing alternative perspectives once he's staked his own out and it causes him not to see the consequences that might come of his actions. But character flaws like this are what make them interesting to me, because it makes me curious how one as beloved as Finwe nevertheless ends up making several crucial mistakes that help set the stage for the rebellion of the Noldor.
As to Fingolfin, I think his willingness to forgive Feanor--and Feanor's tacit rejection, or at least failure to accept--says a lot about the state of their relationship. Now you could argue Fingolfin was just doing a PR move--even that he knew or suspected Feanor would not accept his forgiveness, which would make Feanor look completely unreasonable next to Fingolfin--but I tend to think he was genuine, because I think Tolkien would have said or hinted if he'd done it with an eye towards his own image.
First, when Feanor is first brought before the Valar for judgement for threatening Fingolfin's life, and it is revealed that he has been influenced by Melkor, there's this:
"...and Mandos said to him: '...for twelve years thou shalt leave Tirion where this threat was uttered...But after that time this matter shall be set in peace and held redressed, if others will release thee.' Then Fingolfin said in answer: 'I will release my brother.' But Feanor spoke no word in answer, standing silent before the Valar."
Even here, where Feanor is on trial for drawing a weapon on him--which has NEVER happened in Tirion--Fingolfin still refers to Feanor as his brother, and Feanor does not acknowledge it. Fingolfin, if he truly wanted to usurp Feanor, could have easily refused to release Feanor or make amends, and perhaps Feanor would have then been subject to longer banishment or other additional punishment. But he doesn't seem to hesitate to offer his release.
Then, the moment on Taniquetil when Manwe calls them all to the home of the Valar:
"Nevertheless he [Feanor] met Fingolfin before the throne of Manwe, and was reconciled, in word; and Fingolfin set at naught the unsheathing of the sword. For Fingolfin held forth his hand, saying: 'As I promised, I do now. I release thee, and remember no grievance.' Then Feanor took his hand in silence; but Fingolfin said: 'Half-brother in blood, full brother in heart will I be. Thou shalt lead and I will follow. May no new grief divide us.' 'I hear thee,' said Feanor. 'So be it.'"
This encounter follows a similar structure to the first: Fingolfin offers forgiveness, Feanor neither accepts nor openly rejects it. Once again, Fingolfin had his life threatened by Feanor's tantrums; he has every right here to be angry and withhold his forgiveness, but he doesn't. Not only does he release Feanor from the consequences of his actions, he really seems to be trying to heal the bond between them. Again, you can disbelieve that he's genuine here--but I read this as sincere, and I think Tolkien would've told us if it wasn't, or even if Fingolfin had ulterior motives in addition to wanting to heal this divide.
The only time during Feanor's life when Fingolfin really competes with him is during the Flight of the Noldor. Fingolfin leads the larger host of the Noldor to Alqualonde, but this occurs by choice of the Noldor, not because Fingolfin was trying to steal Feanor's following. He comes along only because he doesn't want to leave those who would follow Feanor to Feanor's whims, given how unreasonable and unpredictable he's been lately, and more of the Noldor are willing to follow Fingolfin than to follow Feanor. He could have also chosen to remain behind in Tirion, where he could have made a very easy claim on the throne--but he goes along, because he's convinced it's the right thing to do.
Part of the point of Feanor's mindset in Aman is that it was unfounded, until his own actions seem to give him confirmation he was right. If Fingolfin really had been gunning for his position, then Feanor was not paranoid, and his fears were not unfounded, and to me that undermines a central pillar of the pre-Darkening situation in Tirion, which is that Feanor was terrified of something that would never come, which Melkor took advantage of by making him believe it was coming. Feanor is afraid that Fingolfin will take his place--and by Feanor's own actions Fingolfin ends up ruling in Tirion. But Feanor doesn't see that connection in his madness--he sees only that what he feared has come to pass, even just temporarily.
"With him into banishment went his seven sons...Thither also came Finwe the King, because of the love he bore to Feanor; and Fingolfin ruled the Noldor in Tirion. Thus the lies of Melkor were made true in seeming, though Feanor by his own deeds had brought this thing to pass..."
A key phrase here is lies of Melkor. Melkor LIED when he told Feanor that Fingolfin wanted to take his place. He saw Feanor's fears and insecurities and found some lies that Feanor would be all too willing to believe, and made sure they were whispered into Feanor's ears, so that he would take them as truth.
All of this says to me that Fingolfin had no designs on the throne, that Feanor imagined or created their rivalry himself, and that Melkor simply took advantage of Feanor's irrational fears which he had never put to bed after his father's remarriage.
So to sum up this whole thing: No, I don't buy "Fingolfin the Usurper."

how do you know it wasn't them leaking this time? I agree with you nobody stopped loving them despite the mess but can't deny the feeling of being played? you know like when we go through a really awful time of stunting or hate wave against us causing heavy threats and insults and then H goes out with the blue bandana or Louis performs under blue and green lights and done, everything is okay cause they have something to sell and need us to buy it. but 2 days later bam! more shitting cause now it's hets time. doesn't feel manipulative?
this is not entirely directed at you, but i think as fans we need to stop feeling entitled. not everything that harry and louis do is for us. like it isn't to make us happy neither is it to hurt us. at the end of the day they have to smart businessman to achieve success in this industry. and i think after so many years, i've realised that it's not about keeping their relationship secret, it's more about keeping it private.
as for the coding or whatever, sure yeah sometimes they love to fuck around with us by being chaotic but i also think that sometimes it's a comforting gesture for them. harry showing up in a blue bandana isn't always for us, sometimes he probably does it for himself (one instance i remember is when he was doing the fitting with alessandro for the tour and had the bandana on even when he wasn't going to be spotted until much much later). and while yes, larries are a huge part of the fandom, but there's still loads of fans they need to appeal to and they kinda have to if they want to stay relevant in the industry and bring more fans in. i know we feel hurt when we see them stunting, but they're not doing it to hurt us intentionally they're not manipulating us or whatever. and i think we need to understand that we literally know nothing about what's going on. we only know about harry and louis' professional public life and even then we barely know anything. it's alright to feel whatever because your feelings matter but as i said at the end of the day it's their lives and their careers and they will make moves that they think will benefit them and that's okay too.

𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏
𝑰 𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑫𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒌 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒔! You said you were poly and your blog is about submissive men and I just ... went for it. I was in the Teen Wolf fandom and Sterek was a most popular ship. I can see Derek being bisexual, and Stiles being pansexual.
You and Derek work because he would be protective, almost possessive over you. He's adventurous but does have a grumpy old-man aura.
You would work with Stiles because he's funny, out there, EXTREMELY adventurous and wild. Oh and very chaotic.

It was a shock to both men. (Oh and this is after Stiles has graduated from Beacon Hills). But you pushed them both into a room and told them how you felt
They were shocked but ... there was tension between them. For a long time, there had been. And it took them a while to process this. To understand what it meant.
But they agreed. And even though Derek was the Alpha of his own pack, you're definitely the one in charge in this relationship. And Stiles? Well Stiles is just happy to be desired
Derek is extremely protective over the both of you - he tries to hide it with Stiles, but is open about it with you.
"Y/n, I cannot risk you being there. Please, just stay home where it's safe." Derek walks up to you, kissing your forehead then turns to your side, where Stiles is standing.
"Don't-" but the tall werewolf is cut off by Stiles' lips.
"It'll be fine, don't worry," you say, holding onto both of their arms. They nod and Derek turns to leave. When he's out the door, your eyes flick to Stiles.
"So, you driving or am I, loverboy?"
He looked at you with a stoney face, arms crossed. But within seconds he broke.
"Derek is going to kill me."
"Aw, come on handsome. He would before, but not now... I think."
It's pretty obvious that you have a lot of nicknames for Stiles, and he doesn't mind them in the slightest. They actually give him butterflies. But you only have one pet name for Derek, and no one else is allowed to hear it but him.

"Weiss likewise hasn't expressed any impatience, knowing looks, or other background hints to tell the audience, "I know they like each other and am waiting for them to overcome their fear and just SAY IT already."
Was that not what was shown when she was visibly annoyed with there dancing/flirting in V7 and immediate agreement to go to the movies with the boys?
Personally, I don't think so. Blake and Yang are flirty from the beginning of the scene with Yang fondly watching Blake put on makeup and then the two of them giggling over not having to hear the "annoying" FNKI thanks to loud club music. This is Weiss' reaction to that flirting.
Tumblr media
It's a nearly completely bland expression, edging just slightly into amused when animated. Weiss only starts getting annoyed when Ruby announces that she's also ditching her: "But a victory party? Really?"
Tumblr media
Then we cut back to Yang and Blake doing their awkward dance-off which doesn't amuse Weiss.
Tumblr media
But there's nothing to imply that she's unamused with the flirting. It's because they're acting dumb. Weiss is annoyed because she's just learned that the rest of the team is ditching her and she doesn't like either option presented to her: hang out with Blake and Yang as they make fools of themselves at a loud, chaotic club (remember, outside of a few gags Weiss' whole thing is playing the sophisticated, 'Why I never!' princess archetype), or go to what she considers a stupid, preemptive victory party for her father's rival. Both of those outings sound awful to her, so when Jaune pops in with a movie option, yeah, she instantly agrees. The joke-y message of the scene via Weiss' perspective is, 'Why are all my friends lame and annoying?' not 'Why can't Blake and Weiss just admit that they love each other?'
I definitely don't mean this in an accusatory way, anon, but I'd like to point out that this is precisely the kind of rewriting that RWBY thrives on. Far more overtly, I've seen the fandom spend the last two years framing this scene as a super intimate date between Yang and Blake, proof that they're in love... never-mind that we're explicitly told they're going out with four other people. Now here, it's easy to misremember the scene via the context of Volume 9. We've confirmed now that they are in love and Weiss said it was about time they admitted it... so clearly a moment when they were flirty and Weiss was annoyed was setup for this! But the reality is that they were two separate bits of characterization, with Weiss' annoyance having nothing to do with the bees' relationship - because the relationship wasn't established yet.
Even if we wanted to read this as proof of Weiss' knowledge, it's still an incredibly weak example. There are ways of writing a 'This character knows two others like each other and makes a comment to inform the audience of that knowledge' that in no way relies on that level of subtly, potential misreading, and a Volume and a half of nothing else in-between. This isn't by any means an uncommon trope. Characters frequently share Knowing Looks with one another, make sly comments about the would-be couple's obliviousness, or just outright comment on how they're clearly in love, even if they won't admit it. I'm in season 4 of Voyager at the moment, so here's an example:
B'Elanna: "Harry, you might as well wear a big sign that says 'I'M IN LOVE,' everyone sees it."
There, done, it's really that simple. At any point across four Volumes (if we're only going to go back to Volume 6) a member of the group could have confronted Blake or Yang about their feelings, allowing them to deny it until their magical confrontation in the Ever After, but confirming the romantic interest for the audience. We could have gotten a thousand scenes where someone nudged a teammate and gave a simple line like, 'So, when do you think they're finally going to admit that they like each other, hmm?' with some retort about how it'll take another century at least, giving the story that space to keep the relationship ambiguous for a while. Any random side character of RWBY's could have assumed they were a couple, causing them to blush and stammer out denials while their friends rolled their eyes. It really isn't difficult to establish a slow-burn, they're-just-not-admitting-their-feelings arc. In fact, that makes up a HUGE portion of American television, with most protagonist duos going through a seasons-long slow burn that won't come to fruition until the final hour, but that's okay because the show has already confirmed that yes, they love each other, they just won't say it out loud. But just because it's easy to pull off doesn't mean RWBY did it. If the show had, we wouldn't have spent so many years begging for confirmation or, now, side-eyeing the two characters suddenly going, 'Oh yeah. I knew it all along. I just didn't ever mention that across nine Volumes.'

tagged by @callivich which im thankful for because im always ready to talk gallavich
What’s a fic you’ve read multiple times? Teenagers Scare the Living Shit Out of Me by Mellow_Yellow. I love this fic -- it's a great mystery, ian and mickey's relationship is very sweet but realistic. and i looooove mickey's uncle ronnie. also SPOILER but i do blame this fic for ruining tony for me lol. every time i see Tony on the show now im always side eyeing him haha.
What’s an idea you’d love to create if you had the time/inspiration? Probably a post-canon fic about Ian finding his way back to doing what he loves. I love EMT!Ian an dit makes me so sad that he didnt get to end the show that way. i'd want the fic to properly explore the barriers he runs into in becoming an EMT again as an ex-con. and i'd want it to explore ian and mickey's dynamic when it comes to ian's bipolar disorder now. seasons 4 and 5 are so good but they were obviously so tumultuous for both of them but i feel like seasons 10 and 11 they don't really ever talk about those seasons and how they've grown in that specific area. i think that would tie nicely into ian working to become an EMT again.
What’s something you’ve discovered since entering this fandom? A new trope you love? A different analysis of the show? Something else? I don't want to be super negative here but I will say when i first started dipping my toes into the shameless fandom i noticed a lot of hate for ian -- in fics and youtube comments, mostly. it confused me a lot because gallavich is such a popular ship that it made no sense to me how people could hate 1/2 of that ship. so any time i saw that level of hate directed toward ian, my love for ian kept growing until i have now become a staunch defender lol. but i have also come to realize that i think a lot of that came from people's intense love for Mickey and for Noel. and i know people held a lot of anger while the show was airing when Noel left the show. i can see how watching ian in seasons 6-8 move on without mickey would be frustrating. i really don't agree with any of that, but knowing where a lot of it comes from makes it easier to understand. (also noting that people could just be ableist dickheads, too, and to those people i say fuck you.) sorry if this question was supposed to be a positive one but that's my answer.
What’s an underrated trope or concept you’d like to see more of? maybe fics where we see mickey doing his research on bipolar disorder. he walks into the gallagher kitchen with so many bottles and vitamins and is spouting off drug facts like he's being tested on his knowledge. like, i just want to see him doing research for his boyfriend!
What’s your favourite season? And has this changed after multiple rewatches of the show? Arrghhh this is almost impossible to answer. I think overall that seasons 4 and 5 have the strongest writing. I would probably place season 4 slightly ahead of 5 purely for the rushed and chaotic ending of 5. Season 4 just hits so hard. But in terms of specifically Ian's story, i love season 6 and parts of season 7.
What’s a plot hole you wish had been answered or resolved? It's not exactly a plot hole but I kinda wish they brought Clayton back in some way, especially in the later seasons. (ok also this isn't gallavich related but wtf was that moment in season 6 when tony returned just to tell ian he was gay??? we never him again after that?? lol)
What scene or moment do you feel isn’t discussed enough? the scene in the military prison where ian's listening to his entire family talk about his mental state like he isn't sitting right there. my god that scene breaks me. ian's silence speaks so loudly. it makes so much sense why he runs away with monica shortly after. i kinda also wish someone explained to the gallaghers how hurtful it is for them to keep comparing ian to monica, that just because they're both bipolar it does not mean he's gonna do the same shit as her. i so wish there was way more understanding on their part, and to stop throwing that in his face.
What do you think is next for Ian and Mickey post-finale? I want them to continue settling into their life and finding out their comforts. maybe finding somewhere else to live. i looove ian but i wasn't fan of the way he signed for that apartment without speaking to mickey so i'd like to think they find somewhere they can both truly call home. and that ian can find his way back to healing and helping people.

Dark grey anon again, greetings! I think, rather ironically considering the themes of this show, we might have misunderstood each other. You say I interpeted your comment on the shades of dark grey correctly, except when you then go into it more, that is in fact not what I meant 😂😂 For me, the dark grey comment read more like, if we take an alignment chart to help clarify, evil, whereas from your description I would personally go with the definition chaotic neutral.
I don't see why people* would interpret that as you not liking his character**... isn't fandom meant to love anti-heroes and morally grey characters? I promise this isn't going to stop Aziraphale*** from being in love with him or irrevocably ruin their relationship. Also, that vague post thing? I'l be honest, much as I love a lot of your other metas, I disagree with probably a good 90% of this one****, but ffs be decent about it!
Out of curiosity: you talk a bit about the character growth Crowley still has to experience. Would you consider his moral ambiguity, and becoming less ambiguous, as part of that, or is that simply part of his personality, and fine to stay the way it is, and it's just that it happens to run parallel when being analysed to the flaws that he does need to work on?
*I will admit my OCD wants a positive analysis for the sake of balance, however, this would be the same case in reverse with wanting a negative analysis to balance a bunch of positive ones. Unless you were to literally have an exact equal count of pros and cons there will always be something in my head going bingbingbingnotbalanced... what can you do? 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
**Although, admittedly, English sucks, so that might partially be wording, and not just bad faith. Personally speaking, bad, for me, carries connotations of nasty/ill-intentioned/evil, and dark I arguably find worse, so some of it might simply be linguistic differences. At the very least, as a second language speaker, it's pretty easy to come away with the wrong impression, namely that you're suggesting he's actively villainous/malicious. In my native tongue, a bad or dark character would fall more under the category of commits murders for the sheer delight of human suffering.
***Potential hot take! I don't know, I'm not always overly in touch with fandom views, but Aziraphale is also more morally grey/morally ambiguous than some of the fandom would like to acknowledge.
****I do agree with some of the items on your list, but generally, I have a different or more lenient view on the points you mention and my conclusion is less mostly ambiguous character who can and will do good things semi-regularly and more mostly good character who can and will do ambiguous things semi-regularly.
hi anon, sorry i havent replied sooner✨
sorry, let me clear this up - when i said you interpreted my comment correctly, i was referring to this bit of your ask: "You say that Crowley's dark grey comment is one of the more honest and introspective things he says: that kinda comes across to me like you saying that Crowley's saying he's mostly bad with a capacity for good* and that's a fair assessment of him."
idk how to word the next bit, tbh - i don't necessarily see crowley as a bad character, certainly not outright (and definitely not an evil one). and idk if it was, perhaps, how shittily i worded it in the last ask (im not a writer, i regularly do not have The Right Words), but that's not what i was trying to get across. i just personally find it important that he asserts that he's not nice, he's not light, and imo the narrative has routinely supported this. he regularly shows tendencies of being someone that can be immoral. a little more specifically, maybe - sometimes insensitive, dishonest, distasteful, and acts occasionally without much conscience. yes, sometimes a little nasty, and sometimes a little ill-intentioned, but definitely not to the point where id consider him depraved, malicious, and completely absent of any redeemable quality - that's not what im saying at all. crowley is not a villain by any stretch.
a lot of people won't agree with that (that he's often a 'dark' or 'immoral' character), and in some part i agree with that contradiction, because he does have the capacity to be the abject opposite of those things, and has absolutely shown himself at times to be selfless, and kind, and compassionate - but i feel like those moments, those qualities, are all the more obvious and apparent because his character backdrop is typically the reverse, and because they are less frequent.
@maximumpenguinpuppy made the brilliant symbolic observation in their rb that kind of sums up my thoughts; the taijitu/yin-yang symbol is made of two parts, and one of those parts is a black field with a white dot - the 'good' within the 'bad'. it wouldn't be the symbol it is and have the meaning that it does, if the symbol were all white with two black dots. likewise, crowley and aziraphale wouldn't be the analogy for yin yang that they are, if they both were 'good' with small parts of 'bad'. it's this kind of balance that makes crowley being a mostly dark character, with capacity for good, not only make narrative and symbolic sense for me, but also makes him a more compelling character as a result.
and probably goes without saying, but it understandably wasn't something i explored in your last ask (and maybe should have) but aziraphale is the opposite. imo, his backdrop is mostly good, kind, selfless, and compassionate. it's then all the more obvious and startling when he doesn't act like that, because of the sheer contrast the story's portrayal of him has given us. so, exactly the same as crowley, his self-assessment of being "very light grey' also feels accurate, and again perhaps an accidental introspection that we as the audience ought to believe outright. (by the by, i feel like the audience does buy and accept this without much question - that aziraphale is a mostly good character whose questionable actions are perceived as all the more horrendous as a result - but seems to struggle with accepting the mirror of that where crowley's concerned) (as i see it anyway, this is only my interpretation of course).
as for where id personally like to see his character development go; i don't think it's a straightforward case of him starting to become more 'good' or 'light'. i think it would erase a lot of his personality and 'crowley-ness' for him to step completely away from being a bit of an occasional shit 😂 his darker qualities, i think in his case specifically, are likely to be a product of his experiences, and inner turmoil, and a good deal of bitterness and resentment, confusion and hurt. therefore, to erase his more immoral behaviours would be in part to erase what the narrative heavily suggests is the trauma and pain that he's been through; essentially, i wouldn't want to see what aziraphale is implied to want in the final fifteen, and restore him to 'good' when he's not that person anymore.
that being said, a crucial part of where i feel crowley is in the wrong a lot of the time is that he does tend to avoid blame or responsibility - and there have certainly been times where aziraphale has fallen afoul of that. i think perhaps (sheer speculation here) crowley's actions have crossed boundaries that aziraphale hasn't effectively communicated to crowley, and/or crowley has completely ignored. don't get me wrong; aziraphale has done the same to him too, and they both need to acknowledge this on their individual parts. they do need to make the relevant reparations for it, including genuine apologies, to respect those boundaries in the future, and make purposeful efforts to rebuild that trust. personally, i do think (or at least hope) that this is something that is going to be addressed, as being underlying sources of contention and upset for them both, in s3.

I saw the hp thingy you posted for Wenclair and now i wanna know your hc for the whole Nevermore kids :p
I'm so sorry this has been sitting for a few days, I'm stupid and it took me a HOT minute to realize hp is Harry Potter (at least I hope it is cause I'm answering it as such) Also, these are just my own opinions and of course everyone is entitled to their own thoughts! I believe that most of these characters fit into multiple houses! Also, I'll add if they would play Quidditch or not.
Wednesday: I think a good majority of the fandom would put her in Slytherin and I would agree! However, I do headcanon that she wants to be in Ravenclaw and well, the Sorting Hat had other plans. I also find it funny to think about Wednesday getting placed into Ravenclaw and just being a fucking menace. She was BANNED from Quidditch but with some...convincing she was placed back on the team BUT with the promise that she is NOT allowed to be a Beater, so she becomes the Seeker.
Enid: I almost wanted to place her in Gryffindor, but her whole scene with Wednesday and saying "that's what friends do" and how much she values friendship and togetherness just made me convinced for Hufflepuff. Also, all Hufflepuffs are secretly FERAL and I stand by that. And I also love Slytherin/Hufflepuff relationships. She played for like a year, but was off-put when she broke a nail. She would rather cheer her girlfriend on. Also super cute image to see Enid wearing a Slytherin jersey for Wednesday.
Bianca: I'm so torn between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, just like Wednesday. But at the end of the day, Bianca is also a Slytherin. I mean COME ON. My girl went and made her own life for herself and reached her goals, basically poisoned Yoko to win a cup, and has a million walls up so no one sees her vulnerable. Slytherin. I also like the idea that her and Wednesday go rounds trying to be the top student. Captain of the Slytherin team obviously. She is the best Keeper to ever live.
Eugene: the biggest Hufflepuff to exist. Like I don't need any explanation. I would say that he has avoided Quidditch because he thought he wouldn't be any good, then during his last year he tries it out and turns out, he's a decent Seeker!
Yoko: I need fucking CHARACTERISTICS, MY GIRL DESERVED MORE SCREEN TIME...anyway, for now I want her in Ravenclaw. She would be a witch in the au so no vampire, but I would like to think she's super fucking wise and almost like she's lived for centuries. It also be funny to see Yoko just naturally super smart and it irks Wednesday to no end cause "what do you mean you learned how to do open heart surgery over the weekend?!?" Nah, she ain't down for Quidditch. Just like Enid, she would rather cheer on her own girlfriend than play.
Ajax: Hufflepuff. It's shown in the show that he seems to be loyal to his friends and he just has a very happy-go-lucky vibe about him. I also adore a good platonic Enid/Ajax, so they be the absolute chaotic/idiotic bestie duo that has all of the Hufflepuffs STRESSED. He was also BANNED. Not because of anything violent, but his antics were just too much.
Divina: Again, MY GIRL NEEDS SCREEN TIME. The most we see from her is really just going along with Bianca and being gay with Yoko. That being said, I would like to have her in Gryffindor. Mostly because of Ravenclaw/Gryffindor dynamics. Love the idea of Yoko just trying to chill in the common rooms and her girlfriend is just bouncing off the walls cause "THIS IS SO BORING, I NEED TO FIGHT GOD." Gryffindor Captain. She's a bit of a utility player, mostly does Chaser and Beater.
Kent: My boy also needs more screen time. I want the twins together and I would have them give off Weasley Twin vibes, so Gryffindor as well. I believe that Divina is his impulse control, however where Divina will say she's bored and needs to fight God, Kent will do it without telling ANYONE. He's the reason Gryffindor loses house points consistently. Obviously, he plays. He's a Beater and when the Twins are both the Beaters, absolute chaos during that game.
Tyler: Azkaban. Death penalty. He would only be a monster that Enid beats the fuck out of.

☕Phineas and Ferb
HELLO FELLOW MUTUAL <3
i just. absolutely adore phineas and ferb with every fibre of my being
the concept is so simple in theory: two brothers and their best friends making the most of summer and meanwhile their pet platypus fights an evil scientist and always wins! their older sister tries to bust them but always fails as a result of aforementioned b-plot! it's so so so crazy to me that even though phineas and ferb followed this same pattern in every single episode it managed to take in this entire life of its own with so much magic. like how do you do that. how did dan and swampy and the animators and writers and entire crew do that. how much creative power and sorcery do you need to have in order to make a cartoon that follows the same pattern in every episode so compelling and ahhhsmfblsngmksnfkdk
and even more than that it's so enjoyable to watch because of it's incredible characters. phineas and ferb are creative to a beyond astronomical point and chaotic and brave and optimistic and friendly. they work so well together and they love and support each other endlessly. candace may try to bust them all the time, but she also loves them and cares about them endlessly, and beyond that she's also incredibly chaotic and funny. and isabella and buford and baljeet my beloveds they're such great friends and they're courageous and funny and talented and loyal and random and chaotic (everyone in this show is chaotic EVERYONE) and doof is The Character Ever as is perry and everyone's characterization in this show is just all so incredible. they're all so loveable all the characters even the ones that aren't necessarily core characters and they're so precious and make me laugh out loud until my stomach hurts and my face hurts and I'm crying from laughing too hard.
the songs in the show too!!!!!!!!! they're beyond iconic. there is not a word in existence that can describe the impact the music has had. if the entire fandom could agree on one thing it is definitely the fact that the song are top notch and creative beyond belief. and even if you've never watched phineas and ferb you're bound to know that 'gitchee gitchee gitchee goo' exists. you're mostly likely going to recognize the theme song within the first few seconds. look if you can successfully teach about half the world what the tip of a shoelace is called through one song... that's some good music.
and the relationships in this show!!!!! I'm. I just.
Tumblr media
I CANT. the friendship portrayal in this show is top notch for starters. they're all ride-or-die for each other. they stay with each other through thick and thin, help each other in any way that they can. they all go on wacky and wild and crazy adventures together because they know they'll all have fun together, regardless of what happens in the end. they spend all summer doing things with each other and for each other, helping each other out, and just spending as much time as they can with each other and not worrying about anything else. most of the friendships if not all of them (summer vacation gang, candace and stacy, etc) are all "I'm going to do this for you right now and we're going to do it together no matter how weird or chaotic it becomes and I'm not going to think about the consequences until later because if it happens it happens but we'll always be friends" kind of mentality and it's so precious to see a dynamic like that being shown all the time. it's friends being friends and wanting to be with each other in this carefree, wholesome way and it's so refreshing to see that without any of the unnecessary conflict.
family portrayal is also very superior. the unconditional love and support!!! even when candace is salty that she couldn't bust her brothers it's still so clear that she'd do anything for them! even when linda is annoyed at candace she still loves her chaotic kid endlessly!!! phineas and ferb may not be brothers by blood but they are brothers by soul and have the unbreakable bond ever. they love candace and lawrence and linda endlessly and always try to make them happy. they all even shower perry with so much love that it makes me shed a tear. the family relationships are just so "I'm always here for you!" and I love that so much.
and ohmygod I just need to ramble about the romantic aspect for a bit. I love how in this show friendship isn't characterized as anything less than romance. yes, isabella gets annoyed when phineas doesn't notice her obvious attempts at making things more than friendly, but the thought of her not being friends with phineas or resenting him for his obliviousness has never come into the equation at all. never. because he's her best friend and she's his best friend and she cares much more about his happiness than a loss of a romantic moment (SUMMER BELONGS TO YOU!! "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO ENJOY THIS BEAUTIFUL SUNSET"). and the romances aren't portrayed as perfect scenarios where the characters somehow know exactly what to do and exactly what to say and everything is all romantic all the time without being awkward or confusing at all. CANDEREMY FOR INSTANCE. CANDEREMY MY BELOVED. one of the reasons I love canderemy so much is because it's portrayed as the exact opposite. candace freaks out about jeremy all the time. she freaks out about sweet gestures to do for him and sweet gestures she receives from him and she does get awkward and insecure at times. but she does the best she can and she does it pretty well!! and furthermore jeremy never judges her for it. we've all seen the typical "you're kinda awkward and weird so I'm just gonna leave" thing going on in media but it never happens here. jeremy likes candace because she's candace, regardless of how she reacts sometimes and how awkward they can both be at times. it's so aHHHHHH-
and as mentioned before it's so crazy to me that despite following the same sequence of events in almost every episode that the show still managed to be so interesting. all the randomness and craziness and chaos in the daily inventions in the friendships in the way perry would defeat doof in the way the inventions would ultimately disappear every time came together so perfectly and it's so mind-blowing to watch honestly. even so many years later a huge fandom is still appreciating the show and this buildup. it's just that legendary.
basically phineas and ferb is The Show Ever and it makes me go feral I am the epitome of the picture below every time I even do as much as think about this goddamn cartoon

Hey Dove!!!
Loved your first request so I had to send in my own 👹
As my name suggests, I’m a hoe for Eugene so anything, like literally any crumbs you have for him would be outstanding and I’d devour them. And/or something with Nix cause he just 😩 You can pick one or both, I’m fine with whatever! It can be relationship hcs or just regular ones like I said I’ll take anything 💀✋🏻
No rush at all! I look forward to seeing what you have for me 💞
Omg thank you so much, I'm glad that you liked it! I couldn't pick between Roe and Nix and wanted a challenge, so here are some headcanons for both 😌

OMG, the sweetest boy
I don't want to sound overdramatic by saying "love at first sight" but he definitely caught feelings for you the first time he saw you in Toccoa
Because he's kind of shy, he was unsure of making a move -- or even how he would go about doing so -- so when you're both chosen to be medics he's secretly a little freaked out inside because you get to spend more time together
He makes his move right before the D-Day jump, because he can't stand the thought of not having confessed his feelings if something happened to either of you
After his confession, he slowly becomes more comfortable around you. The men always talk about how quiet he's known for being, but when his shyness wears off around you, you know him better than anyone
Throughout the war, he's constantly checking in with you to make sure that you're okay. Because let's be real, the medics are always taking care of everyone, but who takes care of them? You both understand the toll it takes on someone to be a caretaker
In Bastogne, he always makes sure that you're warm. He'll share a blanket with you and teach you French and tell you stories about his life before the war while you watch the line
You casually mention that you never want to feel cold again when the war is over. It's something you say offhandedly in frustration one day while trying to find spare supplies, but he never forgets it.
As soon as you find out the war is over, he asks if you if you want to come to Louisiana with him, because you're not likely to get cold that far south
And when you agree, he feels like the happiest man alive

Two words: Power Couple
Y'all are chaotic, but in the best way possible
Like, you would have so much fun together, are you kidding me?
When you have a weekend pass, you put it to good use. Pubs, restaurants, movies. Anywhere you can spend time together, you're there. And probably causing a little trouble along the way
As an officer, he tries so hard not to show you too much favoritism so that you don't get into trouble, but everyone knows that you're his favorite
He's an intelligence officer and it shows. He can read your body language so well that you sometimes feel like he knows you better than you know yourself. You could probably even just think a slightly negative thought and bam! He'd appear out of nowhere from miles away to comfort you
Sometimes, you're the only thing keeping him going. If he starts to falter, he thinks about winning the war to make the world a better place for the two of you to be together in it
And when the war is over? I hope you like to travel, because he wants to go everywhere
It's like having a weekend pass all the time. You have fun with it, but he feels like he's living the dream, because all those times that he told himself that he had to make it to the end of the war to spend the rest of forever with you finally paid off, and he's not going to waste a second of it
Thank you so much for the request! I was honestly so scared to share my writing at first, but everyone in this fandom is so sweet and I'm having a lot of fun here. I hope you liked these! 💖🕊️
