When summer started you decided to welcome one of the new girls. Mallory. She was super shy and didn’t talk much so you wanted to make her feel comfortable so you made her little housewarming gift. It was a painting of her hometown with a little witch on a broom flying above. She had to get up and leave it and you could hear her thoughts about how much she missed it…

You walked to her room and knocked on her door. She answered and smiled shyly. “Hi, (Y/N).”

You smiled. “You know my name?”

“Of course. You’re amazing around here!”

You blushed and she looked down at the gift. “Oh! How could I forget. I made you this. It’s your hometown right? I know you miss it and I wanted to give you something to remind you of it.”

Mallory smiled and looked up at you. She hugged you and gasped suddenly pulling herself away from you not breaking eye contact with something behind you. You turned around to see what she was looking at. It was Zoe.

“Hey Zoe!” You said casually. Her eyes were squinting and her lips were pursed. You could tell she was angry and jealous but you loved acting as if you didn’t have a clue. You turned around and gave Mallory another hug and told her goodnight. After you walked past Zoe smirking.

“I hate you!” She cried.

You turned around and noticed the tears in her eyes. You immediately became serious rushing towards her.

“I’m sorry I didn’t think you cared like that.” You said hugging her. She pulled away and stomped off. You shrugged your shoulders and returned back to your room.

You decided to take a shower, Zoe walked into the bathroom to brush her teeth. She just wanted your attention. You peeked your head out the curtain and motioned for her to join you. She walked closer and you could see her smile happy you were showing you cared.

“I knew you couldn’t stay mad at me for long.” You said which made her mad. She quickly turned around getting ready to walk off but you grabbed her by the hair.

“Take your clothes off and get in the shower, oh and look at me while you strip.” You sneered.

She didn’t break eye contact with you as she slipped off her jacket, then her black dress revealing her lingerie. You became impatient as she slowly struggled to unbuckle her bra. She was doing it on purpose. You flipped her around and did it yourself throwing it on the ground in front of you, then you slipped her underwear down. I could write literally a MILLION one shots for a high school au, so hence why I’m sticking with headcanons...for now :)

• Zoe minds her own business and spends a lot of time alone

• She can be found studying and reading just about anywhere at school

• Madison is the complete opposite, seeming to be a typical ‘popular girl’; blonde, pretty and perfect, with all the boys are lining up for her!

• She also stars in all the school’s plays and is their ‘prized actress’

• Sometimes, Madison can be a bit of a pain towards everyone else, especially when she is with her friends

• She torments just about everyone and is always acting better than her peers

• Zoe hates that and avoids Madison at all costs

• Unfortunately for Zoe, her English teacher, Ms. Goode, seats Madison and Zoe next to each other

• These seats are PERMENANT for the remainder of the year

• Eventually, Zoe gives in and goes to the school’s football game with Madison, since it’s a school event and shouldn’t be too crazy

• Plus she assumes Madison wants to watch one of the guys play

• Instead, Madison pulls Zoe aside and brings her under the bleachers to talk with her, alone

• “Zoe, I didn’t bring you here to watch football.”

• Lots of sleepovers, usually at Zoe’s house, especially after she learns about Madison’s TERRIBLE homophobic (and neglectful) mother

• Which means that Madison begins opening up to Zoe, more than she has ever opened up to anyone before

• Meanwhile, Zoe is getting comfortable around Madison as well and begins talking WAY more

• Cuddling. And kissing. And hand holding. And all kinds of little actions of affection!

• Sometimes sexy times because, y’know, teenagers and hormones

• Swapping clothing, or more commonly Madison stealing Zoe’s clothes (mostly hoodies)

• Madison checks with Zoe before announcing their relationship (and even just coming out in general!)

• Zoe is really supportive and tells her to do whatever she feels is right

• Madison posting a picture of the two and comes out with that photo, as well as a cheesy caption

• Zoe hugs Madison and reassures her that everything is okay

• At school, everyone disowns Madison and is extremely terrible to her

• Zoe prepares for the worst and thinks Madison will leave her to get her old life back

• Turns out it was just a joke and Madison’s ‘friends’ use it to make fun of the ‘lesbian pillow princess who disgusts them’

• Madison runs off crying

• Which makes Zoe VERY angry

• Zoe gets into a physical fight with the girls behind this ‘joke’ (which is very unlike Zoe)

• This leads to Zoe getting kicked out of the prom

• Madison is sitting outside crying and sees Zoe walk out, with tons of little cuts, scrapes and bruises on her face

• She is still sniffling when she approaches Zoe and pulls her in for a tight hug, realizing what she did

• “My knight in shining armour”

• “They were jerks, Maddie! Anyone would’ve done it.”

• “I don’t care about them though, I care about you.”

• Zoe apologizes for not going to comfort Madison first, but Madison insists no apology is needed

• She kisses all of Zoe’s little bruises and cuts from the fight

• The two going back to Zoe’s place and Madison cleans off all of her wounds

• Changing into comfortable clothes then relaxing together and comforting each other

• Going back to school and knowing that they will have each other

• Quickly becoming the top and really only notable couple at school

• In fact, all of the sports teams completely support the girls; football, soccer, baseball, swim, rugby...

• Applying to schools together (but not depending on each others’ decisions)

• Supporting Madison when she doubts herself

• “Maybe I’m not cut out for more school!”

• “Maddie, you’re smarter than you give yourself credit!”

• “I don’t know, Zo.”

• “Just apply where you want to; you never know unless you try!”

• Months of waiting for responses but distracting themselves with TONS of outings; date nights, movies, baking/cooking together, mini golf, bowling, going to arcades...

• They both get accepted to the same school (which Madison doubted she’d even be considered for because of how much smarter Zoe is)

• Without hesitation, they accept their offers

• Agreeing to date throughout post-secondary school

• The girls being named “Cutest Couple” for the yearbook

• Depending on each other, supporting each other, needing each other and loving each other more than they have ever felt about anyone else

Drunk Zadison

Madison stumbled up the stairs to the academy, a cigarette in one hand and a bottle of Vodka in the other. She picked up a stone on the path and threw it at hers and Zoe’s bedroom window

“Zoeeee, Come get meeeeee” she yelled, she swayed back and fourth waiting for a response

Madison watched as Zoe peaked out the window and scoffed at Madison. Madison stood looking small and proud of herself, a cigarette poked in between her lips as she giggled furiously two stories down from her brunette friend

“Maddie, don’t move, don’t speak, i’m coming”

“Zoe I have to puke” she whispered in Zoe’s face, they were tiptoeing throw the hallway past Cordelias room. Zoe winced at the smell of Cigarettes and Alcohol on her breath

“we are almost there keep it together please” Zoe whispered sternly, she was holding Madison up, Madison’s arm was slung around Zoe’s neck, the smaller girl could barely stand

“you are stupid” Zoe sneered

“you’re so prettyyyy” Madison giggled, as Zoe dragged her into their bathroom. Zoe rolled her eyes at the very drunk and very much messy blonde

Zoe led Madison to her knees over the toilet, she began to tie Madison’s blonde hair, which Zoe had just noticed now, was very soft. Madison leaned over the toilet and began to doze off, her head hanging in the toilet. Once Zoe noticed she began to get noticeably frustrated

“ Madison you can’t sleep in the toilet bowl” Zoe dead panned, shaking Madison furiously. Madison was wearing a very short black skirt with tall laced boots and her tube top.

“okay let me help you get into comfortable clothes” Madison was now leaning against the wall and playing with her hair, every second she looked like she was gonna vomit all over the place.

“you just wanna see me naked you weirdo” she giggled, her eyes glazed

Zoe blushed furiously and furrowed her brows “Fine do it yourself” Zoe said as she spun around on her butt to face away from the blonde.

“please help me baby” Madison whined, Zoe raised her eyebrows

“baby?”

“shhhhh” Madison shushed sloppily “you’re so cute when you don’t talk” She cackled

Zoe shook her head and ignored whatever the drunk had to say as she raised her arms and slid the tube top off, Zoe was looking up trying not to look at Madison’s bare chest as she poorly tried to slide on a new looser shirt.

“you can look”

“Madison quit it, i’m just trying to help you” Zoe blushed, she was staring at the cabinet next to her while she aided Madison in changing her clothes

“can you stand, so we can take your skirt off” Zoe asked, helping Madison to her feet. Madison hasn’t said anything, she just leaned on Zoe, her hand tugging on Zoe’s night gown as the other slid her skirt down, Zoe was looking at the ceiling, she handed Madison a pair of shorts. Madison wobbled trying to get them on, which caused Zoe to smirk

“sit on the toilet i’ll take your boots off” Zoe said, trying to hide her smile, At how crooked her shorts were as she moved herself to the toilet

Zoe began unlacing her boots from the top, which were at her knee

“Zoe” Madison cooed, her hand found the top of Zoe’s head as she began to play with Zoe’s hair. Zoe had to pretend like she didn’t want Madison to continue, but she knew she was only doing this because she gets extremely floozy when she’s drunk. Madison started to get a harder grip on Zoe’s hair, Zoe could feel how hot her body was becoming at the contact. She thinks Madison noticed at how flustered was getting based on how giggly Madison was getting. Zoe slid off the first boot and slid out of Madison’s grip on her hair. Zoe smoothed down the top and began with the next shoe

“Zoe, I just, I’m so madly in love with youuuu” she giggled “Everything you do, I just wanna kiss you all the time and everytime you’re sad *hiccup* i’m sad too *hiccup*”

Zoe stared at her for a minute, she hated how drunk Madison was, because she would never mean any of this if she was sober. She ignored Madison and picked her up by her hips and tucked her into her own bed. Madison was smiling at Zoe, looking for reassurance in her eyes, but Zoe was pretending like she didn’t notice. Madison lifted her hands and brought them up to Zoe’s face. Zoe looked at her awkwardly waiting for one of Madison’s remarks

“Zoe Benson” she giggled

“I’d put a ring on that finger” she whispered, cigarettes stung Zoe’s nose, Zoe whimpered lightly, trying not to read too much into Madison’s actions as she lifted herself out of bed

“ I didn’t want kyle” she whispered as she looked at Zoe. Zoe looked at her and frowned “Madison” Zoe whispered, but Madison soon was fast asleep. Zoe turned and tucked herself into bed, now thinking about the MANY things Madison had to say to her

“Good Morning Sunshine” Zoe peered, very cheerful over the blonde who could very well pass as dead.

“ i feel like a dumpster “ she paused “a dumpster on fire” she grumbled, slamming a pillow over her face

“you had a lot to say last night Madison and we need to talk about it” Zoe smiled brightly as she shook the bed, annoying the small blonde

“what the fuck are you going on about” Madison shot back

“well apparently you’re in love with me“ she whispered down at Madison, rolling her eyes. Madison shot up out of bed

“ what did I say” she blushed, her mouth was slightly agape as she stared helplessly into the brunettes eyes

“Well first you said I was hot but THEN you said you were in love with me and that you would put a ring on my fing-“ Madison whipped a pillow in Zoe’s face.

“I was drunk”

“Oh” Zoe said disappointedly, she was hoping for a different reaction. she tried not to look too sad as she slid away from Madison’s bed

“If it was true, would you feel the same?” Madison whispered, so quiet that Zoe almost didn’t hear her, her back was turned and she was in the middle of walking to the door

“you said you didn’t want kyle, is that why you didn’t want us together? you wanted me instead?” Zoe asked ignoring the question

Madison scoffed and looked out the window

“I wanted you to look at me the way you looked at him” she said bluntly, she still wore a scowling expression on her face. Zoe broke into a grin

“I did, you are just incredibly stupid” Zoe retorted, as she exited the room

“CAN YOU AT LEAST BRING ME AN ADVIL BEFORE DROPPING A BOMB AND FUCKING DITCHING ME, I HAVE A HANG OVER”
