#you can decide who the nice senators were

So, recently, I found an old thermos of mine
Tumblr media
The thermos in question
And when I saw it, the first thing that came to my mind was that it would be perfect for commander Fox, so I drew it
Tumblr media
The thermos was drawn entirely from memory, so it doesn't fully resemble the original, but that's just a minor detail

tell us more abt ur shockwave!!!!! pretty please. I saw the previous tags on the eepy post and u said he's the nicest ever. now im even more inclined to give him hugs
Sure! ⬇️⬇️
Here's some pre-war Shockwave lore:
Shockwave was originally a senator (I'm still figuring out in what city), but his mind was rarely focused on his job. His dream was to be a scientist, not a senator (since jobs were chosen for Cybertronians). He would often skip work just to work on his experiments that only Soundwave and later on, Orion Pax knew about. His works and experiments all had the same goal, making Cybertron a better/equal place to live in. And since he worked with/close to Cybertron's government, he knew about most conflicts/issues on Cybertron.
Early years of war Shockwave lore:
During the begining of the war, Shockwave's experiments were exposed to the public after autobots finding out he was allies with the newly formed group which were nameless at the time (the deceptions). With his experiments out in the open, many autobots were angered and thought of them as dark science since Shockwave kept them hidden. Ever since, he was considered a mad scientist that had to be captured. He was hunted down by bounty hunter Lockdown, which at the time, was an autobot. He was found in a burning down factory carrying a newly forged cybertronian who was abandoned. Because of this, the autobots accused him of stealing sparklings just to experiment on them. He was then given the punishment of empurata, with extra weapons and parts just so that he would have to "carry the weight of his crimes".
After Empurata lore:
After the punishment, Shockwave, with his newly formed emotionless mind, k!lled the group of bots who performed the punishment on him. He later on escaped and hid in the wastelands where he worked tirelessly day and night trying to find any way of restoring his memories and emotions. He wasn't seen for years after that.
So y'all might be wondering, how did he join the 'cons?
The deceptions at this time we're trying to build ships to escape cybertron and hopefully find a better place to regroup and start their own Cybertron. Luckily, Megatron stumbled across the place Shockwave was hiding in. At first, he didn't recognize Shockwave due to the massive change in appearence because of the empurata. Shockwave had just invented a cure for his memory loss and it was just kicking in so he still didn't remember much so he attacked Megatron. During the battle, the cure finally kicked in and his memories came back to him. After some apologies and etc. Megatron asked him to join his team as the scientist. Shockwave agreed.
Shockwave now:
Shockwave usually spends his time in his lab inside the Nemesis. He's a really nice guy since he has his memories/emotions back. He's found ways of making the empurata punishment more bearable for him, as well as finding out how he can remove parts and rebuild his body. But with the lack of materials, he can't do much. Lockdown's a decepticon now, and he's apologized for what he did in the past. Shockwave isn't entirely sure wether to trust him or not though, so he keeps his distance.
He is a big hugger though, careful he doesn't break you. :)
Tumblr media
Some additional info:
-He's around 70-75 in robot years. (I've been adjusting their ages)
-His alt most is kinda like the TFP one
-Blitzwing hates him (since he's had some trauma w/ scientists before)
-Pronouns: he/him
-The little sparkling he rescued was Thrust, and after joining the decepticons, he decided to take care of her (yeah Thrust's a she :]) so that someday he can prove to the autobots that he only meant good intentions that day.
That's kinda what I'm brainstorming so far lmao 💀
(I'm also thinking of maybe during the Empurata, Soundwave and Megatron try to save him but he attacks them too before he runs off idk lmao)

the desperate anidala bitches shall rejoice, because i come offering a second rec list 😌 /lh
My Anidala/Vaderdala rec list! (part 2)
You can find the first rec list here!
sorry I took so long this got buried way down in my drafts but it's finally out 🫡
some of these are not complete so do check chapter count and pls dont yell at me asdfhgkjfh
Modern AUs
The Bet
Anakin's had a crush on Padmé since fourth grade, and after putting up with his pining for seven years, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka are finally stepping in and making a bet that he can't ask her to junior prom in the spring. Meanwhile, Padmé is realizing that Anakin isn't as annoying as she'd always thought. In fact, her feelings towards him are starting to go in quite the opposite direction...
Snow Place Like Home
For genre-typical convoluted reasons involving ill-timed blizzards, Padmé is forced to spend the holidays at Anakin's house. Anakin isn't as upset about his boss staying with him for Christmas as he probably should be.
Second Chances
When Luke Amidala and Leia Skywalker meet at summer camp, they're shocked to discover that they're long-lost twins. The logical next step? Getting their estranged parents back together.
I usually avoid Parent traps AU just because I dislike it as a setup, but when it comes to Anidala a bitch is desperate, and this was a cute and fun one, I really enjoyed it!
Lemon
“What other secret fantasies do I have that are glaring neon signs for you?” Anakin asks. “You’re conflicted,” Padmé says, “because on one hand you want to be a very good boy for me, but on the other you want to misbehave so I have a reason to punish you.” He blows out a plume of smoke and taps the ash off his cigarette. “You know, I really thought you were a nerd. I thought I'd have to be like, ‘Hey, how about you tie me up sometime.' Get you into this stuff little by little. But no, you’re diving right in like we met on a BDSM subreddit or something.” Or: Padmé has car problems. Thankfully she knows a good mechanic.
normally, I probably never would have checked out this fic, (mommy kink is just not my thing) but as previously stated, A BITCH WAS DESPERATE and you know what it actually slapped 😌
Rebound
Padmé Naberrie has just been broken up with. She wasn't prepared for a night out with her girls to find her a rebound. She certainly wasn't prepared for Anakin Skywalker.
Sith-Raised Anakin
the inevitable end of dancing with the devil
"Maybe it was too crass to compare the devil to such a creature—Lord Vader wasn’t the devil, he was worse." Senator Amidala was undoubtedly one of the most respected and adored public servants to walk the galaxy. Lord Vader was not. Vaderdala AU. Arranged Marriage AU
A Worthy Sacrifice
Chancellor Palpatine has dropped the act and decided to rule the galaxy openly as Darth Sidious. His reign wouldn’t be half as successful without his unhinged attack dog Darth Vader, a much rumoured warbringer who appears in black robes with a saber red as blood and brings even the strongest revolutionaries to their knees. Padmé is not only fighting for her home country but the freedom of the known regions and she is desperate to turn the tides of this war which is why she agrees to the deal Sidious offers her: A child with this favourite Sith Lord in exchange for her home: Naboo.
This is one of my favourite fics with this trope!
Pearl in My Head
Padmé's just starting her career as a Senator when she attracts some unwanted attention from the Emperor, who has decided on a very different role for her in the Empire. [empire already exists, arranged marriage/forced proximity au! loosely follows some aotc/rots events]
What Was I Made For?
Darth Vader was not a man made for love, but this was not love. Or, Basically, Padme and Vader are friends with benefits, but she's so nice to him that it makes him question his entire existence.
FOR YOUR LOVE (i’ll do whatever you want)
𝐬𝐨 𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲, 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰? 𝐬𝐨 𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲, 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰? 𝐢'𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐢 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐡, 𝐢’𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐢 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐢’𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 He gave her that devilish smirk of his. The one that had gotten her into this mess in the first place. “I’ll give you what you want.” OR, A rare moment of intimacy happens for Padmé and Anakin – whose relationship is strictly carnal.
I have yet to read the second chapter (will get on that when I get out of the snowbaird hole lol) but I really enjoyed the first one!
Vaderdala
love me, love me (like you used to do)
In which Vader fails to capture his son, but gains a daughter, his wife, another pair of twins... and the past.
this fic was SO GOOD holy shit literally made me feral when i fiorst read it
Love Like Ghosts
There are very few people who know the location of the Rebel Alliance’s base on Naboo. Even fewer who know the names of any of the people who work there. So when Padmé gets up on a cold morning, the windows frosted and harsh wind rattling the doors of the large house that’s been the headquarters of the Alliance for nearly two decades, to see a package with her name on it sitting on the doorstep, her heart stops in her chest.
loved this fic but as a heads up it doesn't provide "they get back together" closure so be ready for that
news of old by @ineedausernamel829
Padme is a member of the rebel alliance. During a mission, her past relationships with darth Vader comes to light
No vaderdala interactions, but exploration of the relationship through Padme talking about it - It’s so so good
Sad Vaderdala hours
Imperial Socialite
In a timeline where Darth Vader doesn't face immolation and Padmé Amidala lives, their marriage continues in a form that is at once far more honest and deeply dysfunctional. Though Padmé tries to remain within the Imperial Senate, the trauma of her husband's betrayal--and the apparent deaths of her children--force her into early retirement. Too much of a liability to aid the emerging Rebel cause directly, Padmé seeks out new avenues of defying the Empire: by leveraging her connection to Vader to mess with the Imperial Elites of Coruscant.
it could be sweet
an interconnected collection of stories based on the idea of what would have happened if Padmé had lived. (aka me finally writing down my self-indulgent vaderdala daydreams aka me living my best life)
This series is so good in a "rip my heart out of my chest and steps on it" way
all joy sucked dry
Her husband had fallen, her life’s work had crumbled, and her own babies were strangers to her. But she didn’t even care, and that was the worst part. Or: Padme deals with postpartum depression, and Vader is ill-equipped to help her
Others
Across the Seas
Padmé Amidala - the daughter of the royal governor of Jamaica - never expected her life to be much more than it already was. Her routine is to dress in her finest clothes, put on a pretty face, and ensure she is presentable to not only the people but to the many men attempting to court her. However, Padmé's world is flipped around when pirates attack, and the young woman finds herself in the company of their fearsome, brash, (dashing) Captain. Initially sickened by the roughish man, Padmé will quickly learn there is so much more to the mysterious Captain Skywalker. A pirate's life for me
The pirate AU I didn’t know I needed. So good
Right & Wrong
After they watch a holoshow that portrays reprehensible content, Anakin unwittingly reveals the concerning way Chancellor Palpatine acts towards him. Padmé will not let anyone harm her husband — and she’ll make this Obi-Wan, the Jedi Council, and even the whole galaxy’s problem if she needs to.
when the grooming is actually adressed >>
cestrum nocturnum
Summer on Naboo, the Clone Wars have yet to begin, and Anakin is tasked with protecting Senator Amidala after an attempt is made on her life. It's too bad that every moment with her has him in agony, and every moment apart is even worse—especially after that night in the courtyard ... Or: Anakin spends a torturous time on Naboo in the company of the person he loves because he doesn't know how to tell her his true feelings.
Naboo smut 🤭
And that's it! if anyone has recommendations for a fic that isn't in either of my rec lists, please let me know! I am so so desperate I need my anidala fix
Since I was deep into the Star Wars hole and desperate, I’ve also been reading non-Anidala/non-Anidala centric fics about Darth Vader/Anakin/the Skywalker family, so I will be posting a rec list for that soon! (When i say soon it can mean anything from a day to months, my brain is not always great at tasks, if anyone wants to be notified when I do post it lmk and I’ll tag you ❤️)

…so I decided to check out Polygon’s D20 coverage, and frankly I think you were entirely too kind to them. Good. GOD, some of that stuff read like they’ve never watched AP that *wasn’t* CR, D20 or the first season of TAZ. And have somehow made it thru the 2010s without encountering urban fantasy…
Anyway, to further nudge you towards your destiny of AP journalism (and with the understanding that you have a Real Job and a life outside TTRPGs and the internet); can you please expand on what you think D20 brings to the table?(pun unintended, but I stand by it) Because speaking as someone who has watched a handful of eps and enjoys the concepts, the praise PG were offering was damningly faint.
Hi! Thank you, and for what it's worth I don't think most of them have listened to the first season of TAZ either, given the way they talk about WBN as inventing the actual play longform podcast. I do want to note: I like writing longform stuff about actual play but I am adamantly not a journalist. I am not investigating or interviewing or reporting; I'm doing analysis and editorial. Amateur critic is the most I can claim to and that's a stretch (and even there I have a particular privilege in that I'm writing all this for free, anonymously, by choice, and don't need be be nice or maintain relationships with actual play performers within the space because I could burn every bridge and still make rent.)
Anyway. I think a major flaw of Polygon is that it's so focused on novelty and subversion that it forgets a well-worn concept, executed with skill, is actually great and for many people, preferable. Brennan, from everything I have heard him say and from how he actually runs games, has a deep respect for fantasy as a genre, and the stories he tells in D20 are ones he is clearly familiar with and loves. I also think to subvert things you must be a fan, and when D20 does successfully subvert or twist a genre, it's coming from a place of respect and understanding.
Anyway, just covering a few Intrepid Heroes seasons: I think Fantasy High (and I haven't gotten to the latest episode of Junior Year) is actually increasingly a brilliant deconstruction of D&D as a game by making the world aware that it's in a D&D game. What does it mean to be in a D&D party and be an adventurer and have that be a significant part of who you are? What does it mean to be a commoner in this world? What do you do when you're sort of a broke teen in generic suburbia but also you need the loot that an adventurer would theoretically get from dragon hoards? Why do you have to know what your life's calling will be when you're 14? One of my personal favorite things, as a lover of mechanics and TTRPGs as a system of storytelling and more generally as someone who believes that your medium of choice should be informing the story you tell, is when people engage with character roles and classes instead of treating them as just a set of cool things you can do, and Fantasy High very much pushes the players to do this. I also mentioned elsewhere that the downtime stress mechanics are a brilliant addition to one of the genuine gaps in D&D, namely, while downtime is a time for open RP, there's not a good way to handle things like stress or crafting or prioritizing well.
The Unsleeping City is one I like, honestly, just because I lived in New York for a few years and Brennan lived there far longer (as did much of the cast, though not all) and his love for it is apparent. I don't think it's groundbreaking; I just think it's really good. The characters are excellent and the story is fun. It's true that, for example, it allows you the satisfaction of making Amazon's and its attempted move into Long Island City the BBEG and smiting its ass instead of having to harangue your senators and councilpeople (as I did, and I wasn't even living in Queens) but really it's just a good story. It doesn't need to be more than that. It did not invent urban fantasy or the idea of a secret magical version of a real city or "most myths are real"; it's just a good story!
I think A Crown of Candy is also just a fun setting and, by making everyone food, emphasizes how petty and arbitrary the alliances in a Game of Thrones-esque milieu can be. It casts a scathing eye on religious interpretation as a tool for conquest without clumsily proclaiming the mere concept of religion is the problem. It has one of the best explorations of character death I've seen and Brennan's acting as Caramelinda remains a tour de force for him. Bringing the entire story of succession and war down to a final choice between two half-sisters remains a brilliant decision, the setting is supported by the mechanical limits Brennan imposed upon character creation, and it's overall beautifully done.
Even Neverafter, which I think have openly said didn't live up to its initial promise, had that promise with the fantastic handling of the TPK; I have a love for metanarrative and honestly my issue is that it was the wrong place to do metanarrative, but it was a bold choice to do in the unpredictable medium of actual play.
That's really only covering a fraction - I think some other standouts are Mentopolis, A Court of Fey and Flowers, Coffin Run, and Escape from the Bloodkeep, and while Shriek Week is just not a genre I'm personally super drawn to, I think the Mythic system is a great system for the story being told and Hicks does a great job running it.
Really what it comes down to is that D20 falls in between what a lot of shows are. It doesn't have the freedom but also the burden of a very long-running campaign (indeed, WBN exists because its performers, all of whom have featured in D20, wanted to be able to do longform actual play), nor is it quite as rushed as an all-miniseries or one-shot show. It has space to explore one or two things really well without having to carry a thousand different threads (and believe me, Brennan tries to put in as many as he can in that space - I actually wonder if the reason Fantasy High Junior Year feels a little more streamlined to me is that WBN was by that time in full swing). But it's not the first edited actual play, it mostly uses very widespread systems, the production values are high but not unheard of elsewhere (and I think that production values in AP beyond the basic 'can you hear and, if relevant, see things clearly and does the set look nice' are overrated though that's a personal preference), the cast is strong but not the first group of professionals or even comedians, and they didn't invent the concept of filming remotely or scrims or having an anticapitalist message.
My issue with the journalists, to reiterate that, is that they're not really doing much journalism, actually; and that their bias is horribly apparent. There's little analysis - just shallow reviews that show little understanding of actual play as a medium, fantasy as a genre, or TTRPGs as a system. And while being entirely free of bias is unavoidable - we are people, and we will bring our own interpretations and experiences in, and there are people who will love D20 and dislike Critical Role without doing so in bad faith - the fact that several of the journalists have openly crowed and preened about their special access to the D20 cast really makes it apparent that they like D20 because Dropout gives them early access and says nice things about them. And it's a feedback loop; Critical Role is going to keep saying "well, you constantly shit on us, so no, you don't get early access" and they'll keep writing bad reviews because they don't get early access.
But to return to the point, D20 is legitimately great and yeah the bias in my mind is only hurting them because, speaking only for myself, if there's two things I like and people heap fawning and inaccurate praise on one and nitpick the other? I'm going to start looking into that praise and find more flaws, and I'm going to start defending the nitpicked one. I really love Fantasy High Junior Year but the Polygon article is so bad I have to remind myself that it's just because the person who wrote it is an idiot. I probably would have gone into Kollok much more neutrally if people didn't act like it was the fucking invention of television. Do give D20 a try if you can! Don't read the articles.

You Drew Stars
Tumblr media
Tech x Jedi reader
Unrequited love is a real bantha
Angst - Slowburn - Fluff
Pt 2 of You Drew Stars
“Hm… Well hello brown eyes.”
That one line had the blood in my body boiling as I repeated it over and over in my head.
“Brown eyes…” I scoffed as I helped Echo load some supplies, “That is the most ridiculous nickname I have ever heard.”
And yet so effective…
“Don’t look too much into it General.” Echo dismissed my pacing as I walked up and down the ramp.
“How can I not?” I sighed at the obvious attraction the two have between each other, “He adjusted his glasses!”
“Okay?” Echo looked at his General with confusion trying to figure her out.
“He adjusts his glasses all the time.” Hunter mused as he walked up the ramp, “Wrap it up you two, it’s time to move.”
“Not like that.” I muttered as I followed behind the two.
The mission was more or less successful given Phee’s constant flirting. Tech didn’t doing anything to dismiss her, but it’s not like he didn’t have the right too. He’s a free man after all.
Things seemed to get worse after a treasure mission of hers. One that she almost had us all killed mind you, but she was funny and helped when she was needed…
“Do you have an interest in Phee?” I remember asking him one night.
“No, of course not.” He said it so easily and I wondered then if he meant it.
After that, Phee began to show up constantly always taking up his attention when she was in the room. More often then not, I would have to leave the bar before I brought it crumbling down.
Even Omega seemed to take a liking towards her and our usual game of Sabaac and story telling turned to me sitting at a back table as she focused all of her attention on Phee’s pirating adventure.
Makes sense since my stories were usually grim with so much loss…
I still tried to get my affections towards Tech across. I would compliment him more.
“You look nice today.”
“I think you are really kind Tech, you care a lot about others… I just hope you know I care a lot about you too.”
“I like spending time with you the most.”
Everything passed by him like my words were made of air.
“Thank you.”
“I’m glad that at least you think so. If you could so kindly tell my brothers that, it would be highly appreciated.”
“I… Interesting.”
Simple thank you’s and easy replies, moving past it as if it never happened.
I know my eratic nerves seemed surprising to the others as I began to take more note in my appearance or in the way I carried myself.
Everything felt so forced now that I was no longer a Jedi. I couldn’t look to my master Secura for wisdom about what it was like to love a clone or Yoda’s wise words could no longer comfort me.
I bet if master Obi wan were here right now he would tell me that a Jedi should not hold such a strong connection to someone for it would lead to weakness and to the dark side… But look where love got master Skywalker, he was married to a senator… Or were… May they rest in peace.
I missed Ahsoka the most for our friendship was stronger than any order. Sometimes Hunter reminds me of her, kind, strong, and always pushing me to go after my dreams. I hope she made it out of order 66 just like I had.
Hope… it seems that’s all I can do nowadays.
To put it simply I had trouble expressing my feelings so freely and to have to hide who I really am to the world forever… Everything felt unbalanced.
It just seemed like my time was running thin with Tech yet those moments when it was just the two of us… Together on the marauder, going over mindless upgrades that the ship would need. It make seem dumb to the others, but for me… Everything felt right like it was meant to be.
Despite the fears slowly making a home in my heart, I focused on the good of the force, letting it guide me through my emotions.
I decided the best course of action was to do small things that would make him happy. It was what I remember Commander Bly would do for Master Secura and vice versa. A warm feeling filled my heart remembering how much they loved and protected one another. If only Order 66 didn’t happen then maybe they would be married somewhere by now.
I would make sure the ship was in order, he would always have home cooked meals, Omega was taken care of and that his brothers wouldn’t pester him so much.
I liked making recipes that were popular from my home world the most. The ones I remember my mother making and of course made enough for the rest of our little family or else they would be heartbroken. But I would always make sure Tech would eat instead of fixing something like right now for instance.
I placed one of my hands on my hips as I held a bowl of folio herb stew in my other hand, “Tech I swear if you don’t eat, I’m going to erase all the data you have on your holopad.”
“Mock threats isn’t going to stop me from finishing this task woman.” He commented and proceeded to tighten another bolt on the control panel.
“Fine.” I huffed as I sat beside him, where he was lying under the control panel.
I took a spoon full of stew, blowing on it before pressing it to his lips, “Open.” I said as his eyes widened in surprise.
He cautiously took a bite as if it were made of poison. He stared at me as he chewed, a low hum emoting from him at the taste.
I smiled back at him as I took spoon back to get more, “You work. I’ll feed you. Or else I’ll use the force and make you stop working.” I teased.
“You wouldn’t.” He squinted at me.
I raised a brow at him, “You wanna bet racer boy?”
“Yes General.” He replied with a playful roll of his eyes.
Our night ended up in laughs, the empty bowl paced off to the side and the two of us resting against a wall. Sleep was the furthest thing from our minds as we told stories about the good old days.
The next morning, a package that I have been waiting four days for arrived, placed in my hands by Echo. I was quick to thank the sec trooper before rushing to my room to wrap the small gift.
“You sure he said this was the part he needed for the transmitter?” I asked Hunter one last time as we stood outside of Sid’s cantina.
I held the gift nervously in my hand. Hunters small smirk didn’t help my nerves as he nodded his head.
“I’m sure. He told me himself if that helps.” Hunter answered with a wave of his hand.
“It doesn’t.” I spoke, my voice taking a solemn tone before I glanced back up at him, “I’m sorry for asking again. Usually he tells me these things. Thank you… For letting me know.” I said gratefully.
“Of course, I’m rooting for you General.” He placed his hand on my shoulder, “You deserve to be happy to and so does he.” He said before heading off, “Let me know how it goes.”
I smiled a bit when I entered the cantina to find Tech sitting at the bar alone. Now’s the perfect chance.
“Hey.” I greeted as I placed the small present on the bar counter beside him, “I got you something.”
“You did?” Tech’s eyebrow raised in surprise, “You know, this sudden display of gifts is interesting. What for?”
“Because…” I chuckled nervously, “You deserve something as simple as a gift and… You deserve so much more…”
“Well… Thank you.” He nodded and his eyes went back to the gift, opening it like a kid during Winters Day.
“Tech, there’s actually some thing I’ve been wanting to tell you. For a while actually.” I rubbed my arm nervously, “It was hard before because of the council and specific codes a Jedi must follow but now…”
His eyes widened as he pulled the part out of the box, “This is… I don’t remember telling you about this.”
“You didn’t, ah Hunter did actually. That’s the part he said you were looking for.” I squeaked out as my cheeks tinted pink, “It took a bit to find, but I asked around and heard it was at a shop off world so I had it shipped in.” I explained as he inspected the part closely.
“That was… Kind of you.” His voice trailed off as if he was unsure of how to say what he had to next, “But I’m afraid I have already obtained this part.”
“You did?” My brows furrowed in confusion, “But how?”
“I got it for him.” Phee stated as she walked in.
I watched at she took to his side like a loth cat. Tech accepting her presence as easy as the sky accepts the sun.
I felt my heart drop at the sight knowing that once again I was too late, “Oh…”
“Yes.” Tech nodded, his body shifting towards the pirate.
I cursed myself at not getting it fast enough. For not telling him how I felt… If only he would have just listened. I was a Jedi and yet I was being such a coward.
I put a smile on my face to hide my jealousy, “I’ll just put in the supply bin. You know- Just in case we need it for the ship or something else. I- yeah.”
“Great.” Phee shrugged before turning her attention to Tech, “What are you up to today brown eyes?”
I quickly grabbed the part and rushed out of the cantina from sheer embarrassment.
How did she find out? Did Tech tell her instead of me? He always told me the ins and outs of his experiments. Why did he tell her…
My brows furrowed as I stopped walking.
Why did he tell her?
“What’s wrong?” Echo asked as soon as I stepped off the ramp and onto the marauder, “You look… Angrh and unsettled. Is everything alright?”
“I am a Jedi, an embodiment of light and good and peace and calm… I’m calm! I’m…” I had to hold my breath to keep my breathing in control, but it did nothing to help.
“You don’t look good General.” Echo insisted, “Maybe Tech should-”
Just hearing his name triggered such a rage in me that before Echo could finish a crate went flying out of the ship.
“Nothing is wrong!” I seethed as I stormed towards the back of the ship and shoving the part into one of the junk bins.
“I see it didn’t go well then.” Hunter stated as he stepped into the small space.
“I…” I gripped the shelving trying to gain control of my emotions, “I was going to tell him.”
It seems lately these days, I’ve been slipping. My heart curling into the dark and I had to climb endlessly to keep myself from falling.
“He told Phee about his project and he didn’t even tell me. He always tells me and… And I had to hear about it from you. But what hurts the most is she got him the part and it was like our thing became there thing.” I sniffed, “He barely acknowledges me when she walks in the room and now she’s just always around and...” I squeezed my eyes shut, “I don’t think I have a chance Hunter.”
“Hey…” He stepped forward and pulled me into a hug, one that he would give Omega when she was feeling down, “Don’t think like that. She’s just new and they’re becoming friends which frankly he needs more of.” He chuckled, “Listen to me and just ask him out to dinner. You need to tell him you love him before it consumes you.”
“That is not the Jedi way.” I murmured jokingly.
“You’re not a Jedi anymore.” He spoke my earlier words back at me.
I sighed, “You’re right.” I pushed him away with a smile, “I should go apologize to Echo.”
“You did give him a start.” Hunter laughed, “It’s been a while since you used the force. I think you sent him back to the clone war days.”
I ran my hand over my face, “Oh poor Echo… I feel so bad now.” I sighed, “Where’s Omega by the way? I promised to take her out shopping.”
“She’s with Wrecker, but she should be back soon.” He said.
I nodded as we walked to the ramp of the ship, “Hey Echo!” I called out to him, “I’m sorry about earlier…”
Echo simply shook his head with a soft smile on his lips, “Don’t worry about it.”
There was only one thing was on my mind as I helped Echo with the rest of his tasks.
Tonight when Tech returns… I’ll ask him out on a date before I end up throwing something more than a crate.

The Lonely Princess and The Nerd Knight Pt.1
Eddie Munson x Rich! Reader
The Lonely Princess and The Nerd Knight Pt.2
Tumblr media
Summary: It's the first time you go to school after being homeschooled and your mother allowed you to, but it doesn't turn out the way you expected.
Author´s note: I've had this idea for so long that when I wrote it I couldn't stop, so I ended up with 9 pages and over 3k words for this first part alone. to be honest, I didn't think Tumblr would let me post it because of the word limit.
Warnings: bad words, fluff to angst, Eddie deserves the world, I was shaking while writing this because of the amount of fluff and the amount of angst. I hope you like it!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your mother was the one who decided to move to an unknown place after your father had to stay working in Washington ‘perks of being a senator’ you always thought. Your father was from a family with a lot of money, while your mother was a working woman who was not accepted by your father's family. Because of this, your mother gave up her dream job so that your father's parents, your grandparents, would agree to help both your parents and you get the best life.
Thanks to this you knew how to play instruments, played several sports, spoke several languages and loved to read. However, being homeschooled, you didn't know much about socializing with people your own age, so your mother, having more freedom being at Hawkins without your father, decided to enroll you in high school for your senior year so you could live a normal year.
But she didn't think about the problems this could bring. Many students knew who you were and talked about you behind your back, especially since you didn't know exactly how to befriend them. Every day your mom bring you to school in a nice car, your clothes were always impeccable, your hair well-done and your make-up pretty and subtle. To the whole school you were untouchable, the perfect girl who never spoke and who was in the library every afternoon until you were picked up.
In the beginning, the basketball guys and cheerleader tried to invite you to different places but you didn't understand their definition of fun. "Come on! It's a party near the woods! There will be lots of alcohol and no adults!" said one of the girls as she played with her hair.
"What for?" you asked seriously. "It doesn't make sense to go to a place to drink and the next day you feel bad because of the headaches and dizziness they give" You continued confused causing the girls to look at each other to laugh and then turn their backs on you and leave, something you found really rude. Only one girl with her green uniform and copper hair stayed with you a little longer.
"It's okay if you don't want to go. You're still new in town and you'll find something you like" she offered you a gentle smile. "I like your sweater."
"Chrissy! Leave her alone!" the girls in the distance shouted making 'Chrissy' turn to look at them for a moment and then see you again.
"I have to go, but I'll see you later!" the girl said as she waved her hand in farewell. You, stunned by what had just happened, returned the gesture, then turned around to leave the school, where you found several boys chatting.
"Have you seen the new girl?" asked one of the guys. None of them had noticed you were nearby. "She's the daughter of someone important. I hear she has a lot of money."
"Forget the money, she has beautiful legs, can you imagine touching them?" replied another making the rest of them laugh.
"And let's not talk about her chest..." that's when you decided to move on to the car where they were already waiting to take you home.
Inside the car, your eyes filled with tears from the frustration you had inside. All your life you dreamed of going to some school where you could make friends and have a normal teenage life, but experiencing this in your first days at a normal school made you feel worse than you had imagined. It was as if everything you had been looking forward to was crumbling in front of you. Now you would have to spend your senior year like this.
"How did it go honey?" your mother asked from the seat in front of the wheel. You had never seen her drive a car before, apparently being away from your father and from stares that are criticizing her every move made her feel free.
"Hard mom, but tomorrow will be a new day" you said monotonously swallowing your feelings. Being here would do you both good. Or so you tried to convince yourself.
From that moment on you decided not to get involved with anyone at school, everyone knew your story and your economic status, you would not doubt that many would be interested in you just because of that, they would even take advantage of it. Days turned into weeks, and then into months. You simply focused on your studies and on not relating to people who would bring you nothing in life. Thanks to this, many people stopped laughing at you and began to treat you with respect when they saw that you were not going to fall into their game.
"You look beautiful babe" said a boy as he licked his lips. You just stood there, staring at him without any expression until the boy got uncomfortable and walked away with his friends as they talked about you. "She's a heartless fucking bitch" the boy said as the rest of his friends nodded. You watched him for a few seconds then turned around and continued walking to the cafeteria.
Inside you went straight to the table where you would sit alone until a couple of guys interrupted your path. Jason, the basketball captain, was chest to chest against Eddie Munson, the leader of the D&D club. Jason, seeing you standing in front of them pushed Eddie out of your way and then went to the table where his team was. His face red with anger. When you turned to look at Eddie, you saw that the boy lowered his head slightly and made a gesture with his hands as a sign for you to walk past him.
"After you, princess." Said the long haired guy, then turned and walked away to where his friends were. He didn't give you another look.
The rest of the day passed without anything else interesting. Classes continued as they usually are and you couldn't wait to get out of there. The last bell rang making everyone get up quickly to leave. You took your time as you packed your things in your backpack and then got up and walked out. The hallways were full of teenagers talking to their friends, some of them looked at you as if they were analyzing you while others didn't give you a second thought. In your locker you left some of your books that you didn't need to take out others that were for homework. Your gaze fell on your copy of "To Kill a Mockingbird" that your mother had secretly given you, you looked both ways and decided to put that book in your backpack as well, closing it quickly and then slamming your locker shut and leaving the school.
You weren't planning to go to the library that time, it was Friday so you decided to clear your mind with something else. In front of the school was a forest so you didn't hesitate to go for a walk in it. The only noise was the trees moving thanks to wind and the leaves rustling under your footsteps, the walk was relaxing, as if you could finally be free in a world where everyone's eyes are on you. It didn't take you long until you came across a picnic table in the middle of the forest, the place looked strange to you so you decided to approach to look at it, seeing that no one was coming, you put your backpack on the table to sit down and take out your book. The place was perfect for reading without interruptions. Or so you thought until a noise made you turn quickly.
Eddie Munson held up his hands as a sign that he wouldn't do anything bad to you as he made you jump with fright. His eyes were full of surprise to see you in the place where he always went to sell drugs to high school kids looking for a good time.
"Easy princess, I won't do anything to you" he commented as he slowly approached, seeing that you weren't going to leave, he sat down across from you. You just looked at him. "To Kiil a Mockingbird? Apparently the princess isn't so innocent after all, you know it's illegal to read that kind of book right?" he said with a smile.
You just looked at him for a few seconds and then closed the book and put it on your lap. "There's a reason I read it in a place away from people, Munson" You said looking him up and down seeing how his eyes widened more when he saw that you located him. "Or so I thought" you finished sarcastically making the boy let out a silent laugh.
"How do you know my name?" he asked as he clasped his hands together on the table.
"Everyone knows who you are, you're not someone who goes unnoticed" you replied as you equally placed your hands on the table, mimicking him. He just stared at you for a moment and then clasped his hands over his heart and fell backwards as if you had shot an arrow to his heart, when he got up he had leaves in his hair, shoulders and back.
"The town's princess knows who I am" he said as he paced back and forth dramatically making you raise the corner of your lips forming a small smile caused by his actions. "And she has also smiled in my presence! I have definitely been blessed today" he stretched out his arms making you shake your head as you looked down hiding your smile that was getting bigger and bigger.
"You're crazy" you said as you watched him smiling. The man shook the leaves off his body and walked back to the table to sit back down across from you. "I'm (y/n), by the way" you extended your hand. The boy shook it in greeting.
"I know, everyone knows who you are." He said smiling. You returned your hand to join the other one on your legs. Your smile disappeared making Eddie worry in case he had said something to offend you.
"I don't think I´m known by the best way" you replied seriously, a tone of sadness in your voice that Eddie could pick up on. The man just shrugged.
"People in this town are assholes, don't pay any attention to them, especially the ones at school." Eddie said.
"Easy to say when you have friends to hang out with instead of spending your school year in the library studying every day" You mentioned with a sad grimace, your hands crossed to play with your fingers as a sign of nervousness. Eddie stood up and climbed on the seat putting his right leg on the table surprising you. The man brought his hand in front of you as a sign for you to take it.
"I'll be your friend and knight so you'll never have to spend the rest of the year locked in the school library again. Deal?" he smiled, you looked at his hand for a few seconds and then back at him. Your heart was beating fast as you looked into his sincere eyes. You smiled again making the long hair man smile back and with all the happiness you could contain you took his hand as you stood up and stood on the seat as well. There you gave a small bow and then looked into his shining eyes.
"Done, oh Munson The Great" You replied making the guy let out a laugh.
From that day on they began to meet every day at the table surrounded by the forest to talk about everything. Sometimes you laughed about other students, Eddie explained how to play D&D, other times you talked about your favorite books while Eddie listened to you attentively without taking his eyes off you as if he was studying you, you even talked about the future. Eddie was the person who made you wake up happily and excited to go to school making your mother happy because you were already living a normal teenage life. Sometimes between classes or at lunch you would throw glances and smiles at each other making Eddie´s D&D club friends look at him funny. But no matter what the day was like, you never missed your meetings in the woods.
"I can't wait to graduate" Eddie commented as he stretched, both of you lying on the ground regardless of getting dirty. "I want to get out of this town and play guitar in the best places in the world. Fuck this place and its people."
"Even me?" you asked with a smirk.
"You know I'm talking about everyone but you princess" he said as he put his hand on your hair ruining your perfect ponytail, you pushed his hand away as you laughed. "You? what do you want to do after graduation?" his question made you sigh.
"At the moment I don't have anything planned besides college... oh!" the man jumped in surprise. "I want a house surrounded by the woods, a quiet place where I can spend the rest of my years with the love of my life, without the worry of what others might think."
"Anything else?" he asked with a smile staring at you.
"Yes! A place where I can read without being interrupted" You finished smiling, turning to look at him you realized the man was still admiring you.
"Even I can't interrupt you?" He teased you.
"Only you have the permission to interrupt me" you smiled as you blushed a little.
"Even… when it's a book you don't want to stop reading?" he raised an eyebrow. You nodded.
"Even when it's the best book in the world Munson." The man sighed and you were both quiet for a few minutes, until Eddie jumped to his feet and then pulled out a notebook and pen.
"Well, I think it's time to create your own D&D character" he said as he started writing your name in his notebook making you laugh.
"You have to help me, remember I'm not an expert" you said as you stood up to walk over to him. You shook out your pants to remove any dirt residue and rubbed your arms a little to keep warm, the winter cold was already approaching.
"I say an elf princess would be perfect on you" he looked at you for a few seconds with a smile then continued writing in his notebook. "You must have to use a bow and have experience and strength, I don't want you to die in the first round" he muttered making you let out a laugh.
"No doubt I'll die in the first fight of the game." You commented to him as you removed a leaf that was in his hair, after you took it from his hair you sat down next to him to admire him as he continued to write. You were both silent until you decided to speak. "Can I tell you a secret?" you said nervously, making the boy look at you expectantly. "But you can't tell anyone!" Eddie nodded even silently to let you speak. "All my knowledge about social relationships and love relationships I've gained are from literature, that's why I have a hard time making conversation with other people. You are my first and only friend Munson" You looked at your hands which were shaking, it wasn't the deepest secret in the world but it was one that made you nervous to tell since it wasn't something normal for an 18 year old girl. Eddie, noticing your action, took your hands causing you to look at him, his eyes were shining in a way you had never seen before.
"You're not alone anymore (y/n)" Those five words made you let out air and your shoulders dropped, as if a weight had been lifted off your shoulders. The man hugged you tightly to calm your nerves.
As he pulled away you could see him bite his lip for a moment then sigh and reach into his backpack. His tongue flicked out between his lips for a moment as he concentrated on looking for something, sign he commonly did when he was nervous or he was thinking abut something. You realized he had found what he was looking for when he opened his eyes wider than usual and smiled again.
"Hold out your hands and close your eyes" he commented as he held the object with both hands so you couldn't see what he was holding. You tightly closed your eyes as you held out both hands. Eddie, seeing that you couldn't see, slowly put the object in your hands, as you felt his warm hands on yours your smile grew bigger and your heart raced in your chest. The object he had placed was not heavy and was small "Okay, you can open your eyes."
As you opened them you noticed a small twenty-sided die of your favorite color with gold accents. The man scratched the back of his neck nervously as he watched you look at the small gift.
"I know it's not much compared to what you would normally have but I saw it and thought of you" he commented as he avoided your gaze. You shifted your gaze from the die to him and what you did surprised him. Your arms went around his neck and you hugged him tightly, the die still in your hands.
"This is the best thing I've ever been given in my life. Thank you so much" you whispered in his ear as you slowly felt his hands wrap around your waist, you both stayed like that for a long time.
The weeks went by without any news. Everyone went out for the winter holidays. Your mother decided that you had to spend the holidays with your father so you had to travel to Washington. Thanks to this, you and Eddie talked only on the phone. The two of you could spend hours talking about anything, you would talk about how the vacations were with your family while he would say he went to the table in the woods every day so 'it wouldn't be lonely while you were in Washington' bringing a smile to your face on the other end of the phone.
In January, you begged your mother to go back to Hawkins earlier because you wanted to see Eddie before school, which she agreed to when she saw how happy you were at the town. You hadn't told Eddie anything since it would be a surprise. The drive back took forever. It was a week before you had to go back to school, so you wanted to make the most of it with your friend.
When you arrived, the first thing you did was to wrap up warmer because the cold weather in Hawkins was worst than in Washington, then you said goodbye to your mother to leave almost running to the forest. When you were in front of the path you already knew, you started to go slowly, hoping not to make any noise to surprise him. However, the laughter of a girl and the voice of a boy stopped you, when you listened to them more carefully you realized that the voice belonged to Eddie. You continued to slowly approach to find him sitting with a girl with their back to you, as you listened to part of their conversation you froze in shock.
"Can you believe she's so obsessed with her books" Eddie said laughing softly. The girl laughed louder as she rested her hand on Eddie's shoulder, there you could recognize that she was one of the cheerleaders you had met the first day.
"It's normal, she was raised that way" Chrissy replied trying to make Eddie understand.
"I don't know, it's just weird" answered the long hair man.
His comment caused a pressure in your chest as tears filled your eyes, you slowly walked away so they wouldn't hear you trying to get back to your house as fast as you could. You couldn't believe that your only friend was just like the others. When you got home, you went to your room and cried. Your mom went to talk to you, trying to help you by talking to you, but nothing could fix your broken heart. Everything had gone back to the way it was before you met Eddie.
The last week of vacation you spend it in your room. Your mother would come in a few times to tell you that Eddie had been calling you at your father's house, remembering that you hadn't told him you were back. The days went by faster than you wanted them to, so you already had to go to school. On Monday you decided to ignore him all day, you didn't look at him and you didn't go to the table in the forest, making the man look at you surprised by your attitude, you were back to being the girl who didn't express her feelings like before.
On Tuesday Eddie was trying to get close to you but you did your best not to talk to him, making Eddie look at you sadly, however, he didn't give up so he decided to skip his last class to stay in your locker so he could talk to you. The final bell rang causing you to run out of the classroom, something you didn't do before. Seeing him leaning against your locker you rolled your eyes as you let out an angry sigh. The boy quickly approached you.
"Hey, what's going on?" he asked worriedly. "Everything okay with your parents?"
You turned to look away trying to evade him so he wouldn't see your teary eyes, but your attempts were in vain when he grabbed your shoulders gently to make you look at him. You moved forcefully to get away from him surprising him. All around you students were leaving to go home.
"I don't want to see you Munson" you said dryly making him freeze in place.
"What did I do?" seeing you try to walk away he stepped in front of you. "Hey, you know you can tell me anything" This caused you to get even angrier.
"Really?!" the students still in the hallway stared at you. "For what?! Just so you can go behind my back and tell others everything I´ve told you?!" you said almost shouting causing Eddie to throw his hands up in the air like he did the first time he met you. You couldn't recognize your voice.
"What are you talking about?" he asked confused.
"Now you're going to play dumb?!" your body was shaking with anger. If you kept standing there you knew you were going to say something you were going to regret.
"Hey I don't know what you mean!" he replied already frustrated with the way you were talking to him and because he didn't understand anything that was going on or what had made you so angry. He had never seen you be like this so he became even more worried. "Come on, let's talk it over like civilized people." Eddie grabbed you by the shoulders again causing you to finally explode.
"Don't touch me freak!" you shouted without thinking as you took his hands off of you. The moment you realized what you had said you put your hands over your mouth in surprise trying to hold back a gasp. Eddie's hands fell to his side looking at you with sadness and disappointment at what you had said. Of all people, you were the one he least expected to call him that. In the distance some players from the basketball team began to approach.
"Is the freak bothering you?" one of them shouted. You only turned to look at them to then turn to look at Eddie who was still looking at you, his eyes started to create a crystalline layer.
You didn't know what to say, your mind was blank from the shock of what had just happened, so all you could do was turn around and walk away. A lump in your throat was forming making your eyes begin to cloud quickly with tears, your body was shaking as you walked away from the school. When you got to your mother's car, you slammed the door shut and broke down, covering your face with your hands as you sobbed. You didn't know what hurt more, the fact that Eddie had betrayed you or that you had done the same thing in front of everyone, breaking each other’s hearts.

Codywan Week Day 7: Dancing
Summary: A few Jedi and Clones are invited to a senator ball to thank them for their war efforts.
The Senate ball was an annual for the Senate. However this year was different. The senators had decided to invite their most successful generals to show their appreciation. The Jedi could bring their commanders if they wished to.
Of course Anakin brought Ashoka along and Obi-wan brought Cody. Though Cody has never been to a fancy ball he knew Obi-wan would know what to do and he would get to spend time with his lover.
Obi-wan had grabbed one of his nicer sets of robes and Padma found Cody something nice to wear. The two showed up to the ball right on time and mingled with the senators for a little while.
Anakin and Padma stayed near each other the whole time while Ashoka and Rex rommed the dance floor. Neither could dance so they made it up as they went. Even if most of the music was classical music, they danced as if it was a high school party.
Obi-wan watched them, glad they where having great time and relieved the senators didn't mind. He watched Anakin and Padma get to close to each other and he watched as Cody tried to get used to the fancy chandelier and elegant dresses.
So badly Cody wanted to grab Obi-wan and take him to the dance floor or to take him for a walk in the garden they had passed as the walked up the stairs to the entrance. He reframed because 'what would the people think?'
As the night went on Obi-wan whished for the same thing. The ballroom was starting to get stuffy and overwhelming. He couldn't imagine how Cody felt sense this was his first big fancy event.
Obi-wan looked over at his commander and desired to leave this ball full of people who they couldn't be themselves around. He walked over to Cody and spoke to him. "Can we take a walk?" He said.
Cody felt his checks flush just a little. All night he had been waiting to Obi-wan to say something like that. "Of course." He took his generals and guided him to the back door that should lead to a large garden based off of the layout they had been given before.
The door opened silently and the two escaped out in the garden. The laughed a little as they walked around. Obi-wan grabbed Cody's hand once he deemed it to be safe.
They walked around the colorful flowers, lit up by moon light. Obi-wan filled Cody's head with the useless knowledge of what each of them were. The looked at the constellations, Cody knowing more of them then Obi-wan had expected.
The two lovers walked back towards the building. They stopped at the entrance of the garden, unsure if they really wanted to go back in. Inside the music slowed.
Obi-wan felt Cody grab his hands. The commander pulled them to his shoulder and waist Then he placed his own hands on the other and pulled him closer. "Can I have this dance?" He whispered.
A chill went up Obi-wan's spine. Everything felt so perfect. For a moment everything was okay. The vine arch above them created spotlights and the general breeze brought the sweet smell of the flowers to them. He smiled, "of course you can."
Slowly the two stepped together and swayed to the music. Obi-wan leaned into his chest and let his worry of slip away.
Near the end of the song Cody twirled Obi-Wan and he dipped him. Their faces were so close and without any hesitation they kissed.
They giggled and moved. Cody walked over to the entrance and picked a rose. He handed it to Obi-wan, "we should head back inside."
"We should." Obi-wan grabbed Cody's hand, "I had a good night." He leaned into him as they walked, only separating at the door.
"Me too."

The Baby Bank
- I think I'm watching to much paternity court. Can be written as a female Danny fic.
A world-renowned fertility clinic and sperm bank have made headlines worldwide for all of the wrong reasons. Apparently, they had been stealing samples from men for almost two decades, and it wasn’t just any men they were collecting from. Wealthy men of power such as actors, senators, and billionaires were all targeted specifically by the facility.
Billionaires like Bruce Wayne, who's name had been leaked to the media just after the story went global. His kids were on the verge of having an emergency family meeting about Bruce's lack of proper protection before the clinics 'methods' of 'sample gathering' came to light.
So they decided to just leave it be after that. Still, they decide to help B find any possible Waynes out there. After all if they were family, then they were family.
To start, Tim hacked into the clinic's systems and tracks down Bruce's files. It takes longer than expected, as it turned out the unwilling/unknowing donors were all hidden in amongst the fertility files.
With a bit of reading they find out that Bruce's sample was only used a handful of times. But due to outside circumstances out of the clinic's control only one child was alive and well at that time.
The only problem was that B was not the only unknowing donor for that child. Reading the patient file showed that the samples were experimentally mixed before fertilizing the patients egg. Who the hell would think that was a good idea was still up in the air but it still didn't change the fact that it was still a 50/50 chance of them being Lex Luthors child.
Cue Danny Fenton just a couple of months after losing his/her friends and family finding out that she was one of those donor babies everyone was talking about. Vlad is shocked but reassured that everything was going to be ok.
They send Danny’s DNA for testing but insisted that it be done by one of his labs to prevent tampering. (and to keep Danny’s halfa status under the table.) Of course Vlad being Vlad gets the courts involved because even though he was appointed Danny’s legal guardian.
If either man can prove that Danny is, in fact, their child. Then Vlad will have no power to stop them from taking him/her away from him.
So the court day comes and Danny is just a mess. He/She feels that everything is just stacking up higher and higher to just fall right on top of him/her.
The results were in and confirmed Danny’s fears. Jack Fenton, the man who raised him/her; was not the father. Danny is devastated and Vlad comforts Danny the best he can, but knows that it was going to get worse before it ever got better.
The judge handling the proceedings was nice enough to pause the hearing to let Danny cry. Bruce wants nothing more than to comfort the teen and his maybe child. One glance over in Luthors direction confirmed the same.
No matter the outcome of today's ruling Danny's life will be forever charged. Danny just wants to wake up from this horrible dream but knows that's not an option.
So with a heavy heart, he/she composes themselves and chooses to continue with the proceedings. With a nod, the judge continues." The envelopes in my hands contain the result of the paternity tests done by DALV Co. and they read as follows..."
- I'm just going to leave the ending to you guys. However you want it to end is how it will end. But personally, I'm all for Bruce. Even though Danny being a Luthor would be interesting to say the least.

Both @justagibbsgirl and @i-run-with-scissors39 made a really good point about the Gibbs absence in the Ducky tribute episode- if we'd had a funeral scene, we would've gotten a much deeper emotional impact from a eulogy, the camera could've panned the gathered guests to show a myriad of former characters we've missed over the years, AND, they could've shown Gibbs in the back, unseen by the guests, paying silent tribute to Ducky. Brian Dietzen said Mark Harmon didn't come back because of 'scheduling conflicts', but as @i-run-with-scissors39 said, they could've filmed it separately at any time, because it would've just been him.
But none of this happened. In fact, what really happened in that episode that was memorable? Besides Tony showing up. (I'll get back to that in a minute.) McGee had 1 flashback, Vance had 1 flashback and Jimmy had 4. Jimmy also had the most screen time and was given the most emotional scenes. A lot of that is understandable- he was the only one left with the strongest connection to Ducky. But there were other people with connections to him, too. And we didn't get to see that. The only person outside of the regular cast of season 21 to show up was Tony. I mean, think about that, just for a second. No character outside of the current squad showed up. Not even Tobias! Instead, they handwaved the work/money (?) involved to make something more meaningful happen by showing flowers and Polaroids.
Even the Crime of the Day fell flat. So some girl we've never met is getting hassled by her college because her dead dad's getting slandered in the press by a senator. A senator who, I guess didn't get arrested at the end? Just stepped down from his position? Why did the senator pick that Marine anyway? (I know he served with him, but what was the point in naming that particular Marine?) And if I see one more reference to someone gifting someone a scholarship fund, I don't know if I'll be able to unroll my eyes. And yes, I know the MCSF was a big thing for David McCallum, so it made sense in this context, but the fact there's a Leroy Jethro Gibbs Scholarship Fund joke almost undermined the whole thing. (Would've been nice if they'd had a link at the end of the episode to the MCSF.)
Instead of this random girl and her dead dad, how about a cold case Ducky was working on? Maybe Jimmy sees it on Ducky's desk (or finds it in the secret spot behind a picture /eyeroll) and decides he's going to solve it. The team wants to help but are sceptical it can be done, but Jimmy's absolutely determined to do it, to the point of almost obsession. It would be his way of putting off dealing with Ducky's death while also making one last connection with him. They end up solving it because one of the flashbacks gives an indirect clue. You know, like Ducky's cryptic message to the team about where to find the nothing file behind the photo in his office. /eyeroll again
I loved the fact that Jimmy never took off his lab coat, even though he didn't do any lab work the entire episode. Him walking around the bullpen in his lab coat solving a case was just... well, I guess that's where the show is now, yeah? Sean Murray didn't want to step forward as the face of the show, so Brian Dietzen did. And you know what? Good for him. It's a hell of an arc over 20 years for him. But whether he meant to or not, he ended up making this episode about him. Every emotional thread went through Jimmy; every emotional moment was Jimmy's. When Diona Reasonover's voice cracked in the bullpen ("Any suggestions as to how to do that?"), it felt like the only real moment given to anyone other than Jimmy. Probably because 3 of the team didn't really know Ducky, so they could only experience the loss through other characters. It's why we got Knight reading Ducky's journal to bring up a Gibbs flashback, and it's why Torres did the same with McGee. It's why Parker was in charge of the flowers or something. And I try to remember they're new when I hear Knight say, "Dying quietly in your sleep isn't the worst way to go." JFC, lady.
I dunno. Kate was on for 2 years and I felt the show handled her death with so much more emotion. Her loss rippled through the team and we felt it because we saw the characters feel it. The Ducky episode was a lot of telling rather than showing, and what showing they did was through Jimmy instead of a handful of the hundreds of people whose lives Ducky touched in 20 years.
Oh, and Tony. Great to see one of the Originals, and Tony, in small doses, can bring the depth the scene needs. But being tacked onto the end of the episode made it fell exactly what it was- a surprise cameo to wow the fans rather than a true nod of respect to Ducky/David.
It should've been more. It could've been more.

Things That The Jedi Could Have Done For The Clones
If you’ve been following me for long enough, then you will know that I have some, shall we say, concerns about how people discuss the relationship between the Jedi and the Clones and the thorny ethical issues that it entails. A lot of folks figure that because the Jedi are meant to be the “good guys” and because they are “nice” to the Clones, they are basically absolved of any responsibility or complacency in the Clones’ enslavement. I disagree. Yes, the Jedi couldn’t free every Clone overnight in the middle of a war and no, they weren’t the ones who decided to create and enslaved them, but I still feel like there are actions that they could have taken to establish that they wanted to help the Clones beyond a kind word or two. So in no particular order, here is a list of things that the Jedi could have done.
On an institutional level, they could have:
1. Advocated for Clone citizenship. The Jedi were more enmeshed with the Senate than they would ever admitted, and they could have discussed drafting a bill with senators to legally give the Clones citizenship.
2. Advocated for Clones to be paid a living wage. See number one.
3. Set up vocational and life-skills courses for Clones to help them prepare for life after the war.
4. Punished and investigated Jedi like Pong Krell who dehumanized and/or abused clones. The fact that an unusually high number of Clones were dying wherever Krell went and the Jedi didn’t even think to look at why that was kind of blows my mind and makes me think that they were being negligent.
5. Given Clones like Slick (who would have been rare due to the Kaminoan’s indoctrination of the Clones before the Jedi even came into the picture) the option of doing things other than being soldiers.
6. Pushed the Kaminoans and Trainers to cease any and all abuse and dehumanization of Clones in Tipoca City. The “you can’t outright kill disabled clones, but you can give them Janitorial Duty of Shame™️” and the “when trainers abuse Clones, we’ll just look the other way” approaches that they adopted in canon were not ideal.
As Individuals, they could have:
1. Personally advocated for Clones who came to them with complaints of abuse and sentient rights violations.
2. Refused to participate in the enslavement of the Clones, left the Order, and became an advocates for their rights outside of the confines of the Jedi Code.
3. Secretly helped Clones who expressed that they did not want to be part of the GAR to escape and find happiness, no questions asked.
4. Kept their Clone colleagues in the loop about advocacy work being done on their behalf.
5. Allowed Clones serving under them who expressed interest in doing so to make suggestions about and/or participate in said advocacy work.
6. Really taken a moment to sit down and talk to Clones about how they were living and what they wanted.

I've Seen This Scene Before (Part One)
Summary:
With Naboo now being eyed by Grand Admiral Thrawn, the resistance sends one of their best, Ezra Bridger must help protect you.
Though he meets the Queen, he also meets you, a simple handmaiden...or are you?
A/N:
Sorry for the very long disappearance from writing fics. I was in a rut and was struggling to find words.
___________________________________
With Grand Admiral Thrawn's return to the galaxy also brought back his greatest foe, Ezra Bridger. The Empire is slowly trying to build itself back, bit by bit, now they also decided to take back planets that once belonged under their reign, first on that list is Naboo. When an insider intercepted that message, they immediately warned the resistance.
Hera, though being observed like a hawk by Senator Xiono decided to warn you, despite the protest of the aforementioned senator. You were exasperated, great the empire wants revenge, they really timed things well.
"General, if you'd allow it, would you mind sending me anyone to just shadow me. We're currently lacking in terms of guards as of right now. Apparently we had traitors hiding in our system and when Thrawn returned, they left and nearly everyone in the guards were traitors." You said exhausted.
“Don’t worry, we’ll send some fighters over.” Hera said.
“No, just one very capable person would do. We have trainees already. Its just that, aside from my handmaidens, i just need someone who’s going to ensure I don’t just get shot from behind.” You said softly.
Hera smiled softly. Moments like this remind her of how young you really are. How underneath all of the royal garments and white powdered face lay a young woman, who just wants to serve her country in the best way that she can. You were indeed one of the older queens to ever sit on the throne but that doesn’t mean it prepares you for whatever happens, war isn’t something you can ever foresee the outcome of. Senator Xiono pipes up, uncaring about life that isn’t his own.
“With all due respect your majesty, every single fighter counts, we have no time nor the resource to send out a fighter your way. You are talking about just your planet out of the countless others an-“
“Senator Xiono, might i remind you that out of all the planets we saved from destruction, Naboo has been by far the most helpful one. Supplying us with food and other resources.” Senator Organa said, looking at Xiono with thinly veiled contempt.
Xiono couldn’t say anything else as everyone also agreed to send even just one fighter to Naboo. Its the least they could do. Trying to keep an ally is what matters most nowadays. Seeing as how a lot of the other planets are already showing support for the growing empire. Hera looked at Xiono knowing this time she’d won once again, irking Xiono.
“I’ll send someone from my team personally. I’m sure any member of the ghost crew would enjoy helping out a planet in need.” Hera spoke kindly.
“Thank you. I’ll even greet them myself alongside my most trusted handmaidens.” You said.
Though you did say you would greet them personally, you never said in what form. You were known as the queen who never showed their true face. Unlike the other queens who would sometimes shed the royal face paint, you never did. You felt like the anonymity of your identity helped you rule the land. You were a blank slate, only your last name was known. Your handmaidens were truly the only ones to see your true self. On the day that the ghost arrived, you dressed up as your handmaiden, Rosita, while she pretended to be the queen in your stead. You all walked to where the ship was docked, Hera was outside waiting for your arrival. Standing beside her were the rest if the ghost crew and her son, Jacen but what caught your eye was the newly returned Ezra Bridger. He stood tall, eyes looking around excitedly at the palace, it brought you ease to see someone look so happy.
“Your Majesty, its nice to see you and your handmaidens today.” Hera said smiling.
“The pleasure is all mine. It’s very kind if you to pick from your own team. Are you sure you won’t need all of them in your search for Ahsoka Tano and Ms. Wren?” Rosita asked.
“No its quite alright, we’re still working on the ship that Ezra arrived in, and its going to take a while so, we aren’t doing any missions as of late.” She answered.
“Speaking of my team, as you may know these are my crew or my family. This is Zeb and his husband Kallus, Ezra, our droid Chopper and my son Jacen. The one who’ll be accompanying you and your handmaidens would be Ezra. He’s a skilled Jedi and if anything he can ensure you can all escape safely.” Hera said confidently.
“Hi, I look forward to working with all of you, uh madam? your majesty? Queen almighty?” Ezra said unsure.
“You may just refer to me as Queen (Y/L/N).” Rosita said with a smile.
You smiled at the flustered man infront of you, not noticing the way his eyes were suddenly drawn towards you. He looked at you for a bit before he snapped out of it when chopper decided that now was a good time to electrocute him. He was arguing with the droid while Rosita and the other Handmaidens conversed with the other members of the ghost, one of your handmaidens, Alina looked at you and you nodded your head, signaling her to tell Rosita that she should hand out the supplies you also promised you would supply to the resistance. While that was being done, you approached Ezra. If you were to entrust your life upon someone you should figure out who they are.
“Hello there.” You said
Ezra who was still arguing with chopper whipped his head so fast you winced at the whiplash that could’ve given him. Ezra gave you a huge smile, it was so warm to look at that you couldn’t almost believe that this was the same guy who is considered as Thrawn’s foil.
“Hi there, I’m Ezra im the queen’s temporary guard. Its so nice to meet you. Jacen told me all about your people’s culture and its so amazing meeting one of her select handmaidens.” Ezra said happily.
“Its an honor to meet you too. We’re all well aware of your sacrifices for your home planet. You seem like a brave guy.” You said, trying to sound normal.
“I mean, you’re doing the same thing of sorts. You put your life at risk to protect your planet’s leader. That’s brave too.” He said honestly.
“So are there any rules i need to follow? Any do’s and don’ts in the palace?” Ezra asked earnestly.
“Just one. Nobody else aside from the handmaidens must see the queen when she isn’t in her royal attire.” You said kindly.
You remember placing that rule for your safety and for the anonymity it gives you. Helping you learn about the current situation in naboo without the constraints of formality and politics. You weren’t born yesterday, you knew how easy it is for officials to lie since they think you’re too naive to be the queen. It’s quite stupid really.
"For Anonymity? I understand. I just don't want to offend anyone." He said politely.
"The fact that you even care to ask makes you better than half of the political figures here in naboo. Honestly the king of Gungans have better manners. Once he knocked on the Queen's door to ask if she was alright. Most just barge in unannounced." You said, voice laced with annoyance.
"Sounds like more trouble for you and the other handmaidens." Ezra said with a smile.
You smiled at his little joke until you realized you know his name but he doesn't know yours. Nobody knew your actual name since it's also hidden.
"How rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself. I am (Y/N), the Queen's handmaiden and I am pleased to make your acquaintance." You said as politely as you could.
"You have a beautiful name, suits the person who owns it too." Ezra said smoothly.
"You are a charmer." You teased.
"Only for women who I believe deserve a lot of praise." He added.
Before Ezra could say more, Hera and Rosita signalled you both over, chopper intentionally running over Ezra's foot.
"Karabast, that droid really hates me but hates me even more for disappearing." Ezra said as he walked beside you.
"I'm sure he's just teasing." You said, holding back a laugh.
"Don't laugh at my pain, help me get better. Give me a small kiss." Ezra said jokingly.
You felt your face flush as you heard it and you heard his laugh. He was good at this. You watched as he turned to look at a corner before squinting and looking forward again.
"How many exits are in this area by the way?" Ezra asked suddenly.
"Four, that's including the door we entered from and the ones you and your team entered. A latch on the ground that leads to Padmé's garden and a door that leads to a lab." You answered.
"Alright. I just wanted to know." Ezra said as he looked back at the shadows in the corner of the room.
As you both approached Hera and Rosita, Hera gave you a smile before turning to Ezra.
"Don't cause too much trouble. I know you well enough to know that you usually end up in it." She said sternly, like a mother warning her child.
"Hera, I don't go out picking fights, I'm not a child." Ezra said seriously.
"Could fool me." Zeb said with a straight face.
The witty, familial banter of the ghost crew made you smile longingly as you looked at them. Aside from your handmaidens, whatever friends you had from before was long gone. You had no family left as they decided to betray the people of Naboo and join the empire as well. Yet you kept your façade and remained headstrong and loyal to your people. You knew that the attacks from the empire would come sooner rather than later and you know that they will be personal.
“Well, we don’t want to overstay our welcome and keep Ezra from his newfound duties. We’ll be heading off. If anything happens and you need a quick escape, just give us a call.” Hera said to Rosita.
“I appreciate that a lot General Syndulla. Safe travels.” Rosita said as she imitated you.
“Be nice Ezra.” She said sternly before entering the Ghost.
Once the Ghost was out of sight, Rosita turned to your other handmaiden, Carmine and spoke.
“Show Ezra his sleeping quarters. It seems i need to change into a different attire. The king of the Gungans are coming, i must freshen myself up once more. Come now, (Y/N), Alina, we must make haste.” Rosita said and she began walking.
Once out of earshot and ezra’s sight Rosita turns to you with a smile. One that very much reminded you that you atleast had your handmaidens to trust.
“Your majesty, it seems that the young jedi likes you.” She teased
“Oh please, Alina, tell rosita that she’s imagining things.” You said jokingly.
“Your majesty, I wouldn’t be surprised if he did like you but i for one am sure that you fancy him.” Alina said with a smile.
“I do not! He is attractive and kind and funny but that’s all there is.” You huffed out.
“Its alright, you may struggle accepting it but you are just mortal. Love is normal. Who knows, perhaps you’ll be the second queen of naboo to fall for jedi charms.” Rosita teased as you entered your sleeping quarters.
When everything was settled and you returned to wearing your royal garments, you all agreed to tell Ezra in the rare case that he looks for you when you’re fulfilling your duties as the queen that you were sent out in an errand and would be unavailable.
Ezra stood quietly by your door before knocking, he wanted to let you know that it was almost time to meet up with the gungan king. So he spoke through the door.
"Your Majesty, your meeting with the Gungans is about to begin. We should set off soon." He said.
"Yes, We'll be out soon." You said in a serious way using your regal voice.
"I bet a thousand credits he looks for the beautiful handmaiden (Y/N)." Alina teased as she pinned a section of your hair.
"Alina, you don't need to bet, anyone with working eyes can see that this is the case of love at first sight. It's almost too adorable. Perhaps Queen Padmé sent you her blessings through the force." Rosita adds.
"Oh hush, come now. Let's not keep him waiting. I'm sure Carmine has no patience for his inquiries." You said trying to end the conversation.
"Carmine does have such a temper. She should get therapy." Alina said.
Once the door opened, Ezra stood straighter, Carmine noticed this and took note of his behavior. Oh, she already knows that Rosita and Alina would eat this all up. Ezra first noticed you, or the queen. Something in the way he looked at you made you feel like he could see past the royal regalia, then his eyes flitted past you and landed on Rosita. He furrowed his brows and said nothing else. He offered you his arm and smiled.
"Would you like to take my arm as we go out to the ship your majesty?" He asked politely.
"That would be nice. Perhaps whatever or whoever lurks around would second guess themselves before attacking then." You said with a bit of lightheartedness.
"Your majesty, I hope you don't mind me asking you this but." Ezra looked behind you where Rosita, Alina and Carmine all were walking.
"You have a new handmaiden and the one I know is...well, missing. Her name is (Y/N), I was wondering where she went." Ezra asked a bit bashful.
"Oh she was sent out for an errand. She's quite the young woman. Rosita, the one who replaced her is with us now. She's usually busy as well but she wanted to join us, so (Y/N) was kind enough to take her duties in the meantime." You explained.
From behind you both, Rosita arranges to send a Thousand credits to Alina who smiles smugly and Carmine watches them with a small smile of her own.
The meeting with the Gungans went well. After their near decimation both factions in Naboo have formed a better relationship. The Gungans do view you as a friend and respect your need for Anonymity and no longer question your validity as queen.
"Friend, I warn you once more. Rotten souls are after you." The Gungans' king said as you all were on dry land.
"I understand that, thank you for your warning, but have no fear, the resistance sent me a Jedi as a protector." You said confidently.
The king tilts his head and eyes Ezra, and something in his head clicked. Something familiar.
"Long ago, my great grandfather met a Jedi too. Anakin Skywalker. A small child back then but soon became something more. You remind me of how my grandfather described him to us. I trust you then as well." He said as he left to return to his palace under the lake.
Ezra was surprised but also quite uneasy. He knew the truth. Ahsoka told him how Anakin had turned to the dark side and became Darth Vader, then before he died, returned to the light all for the love he had for his son. Still did the Gungans also see that darkness in him? He was taken out of his thoughts when he heard something snap from a distance. Immediately he escorted you back into the ship, far from the back and still away from the door.
"Mr. Bridger, what's wrong?" You asked.
"Someone was out there in the woods. He wasn't careful and he stepped on something. I can feel them in the force, I know it's not an animal, their footsteps were too cautious." Ezra answered.
Ezra looked at you and something was truly telling him that you looked different from earlier. A miniscule, almost microscopic change. Yes your handmaidens all were nearly identical to you but they too had something different. He could tell who's who, but you. He thought to himself that you, the queen, looked a little too perfectly similar to the handmaiden (Y/N).
(Y/N), his thoughts wandered as the ship returned to the palace and you returned to your quarters to eat. His food was sent to his room as well. He wondered if you were back too. It is nearly dark outside and even if you were the Queen's handmaiden, one of her elite fighters. He truly couldn't help but worry. He decided to eat and perhaps roam the garden that he saw from earlier, maybe the cool air would ease his thoughts.
When he arrived at the garden, there he saw you. You were back from your duties. He jogged towards the small bridge that lay atop a beautiful man made pond.
"Good evening little miss handmaiden." Ezra's voice greeted you.
You turned and smiled, now back in your false handmaiden uniform. Well one of the many handmaiden uniforms.
"Good evening Jedi. To what do I owe the pleasure of your company?" You asked lightheartedly.
"Nothing much, I just wanted to see the garden, Carmine said it was a sight to see." He said as he looked up at the sky.
"This is one of the Gardens. I should take you to Padmé's Garden. Although it also houses her mausoleum, the garden that surrounds it is such a beauty." You offered.
"I'd like that, but perhaps we could go there once the threat of your queen getting killed is neutralized. I feel pretty bad that this is all happening." Ezra admitted.
"why? You aren't at fault." You said.
"My return marked the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn. My return marked his as well, and the new hope he brings to the empire." Ezra added.
"In my opinion, the empire would have always found a way to return, with or without Thrawn. They were just lucky he had devotees." You said with a scoff.
"That's true but I guess, I feel like I sped up the process." He said.
"We'll it doesn't matter. With you back, well I think we'll be in good hands. Plus the queen appreciates you and your dedication." You said truthfully, cheeks turning red with your words.
"The queen is also a beauty huh?" Ezra asked.
"Really? Do you like her?" You asked teasingly.
"I like her as a person, but looking at her and then looking at you versus all her handmaidens, you two look so similar. Don't mind that though, perhaps I'm just looking into it too much." Ezra said bashfully.
Ezra looked at you and smiled, he knew he basically said that you too looked beautiful as he compared you to the queen. Noticing the growing darkness, Ezra grabs you by the crook of your elbow and brings you both indoors.
"it's late, we should probably head to bed. I'll see you whenever you're free then. Goodnight (Y/N), it truly is lovely to meet you." He said with a charming smile as he returned to his room.
You walked back to your room, wearing your nightdress and smiled. It truly is a good evening. Your thoughts begin to silence themselves as you soon drifted off to sleep. Having Ezra here would truly be fascinating.

Fandom posts about Megatron's trial/him being put on the Lost Light that frame Optimus as the bad guy are always so fucking funny to me. And it's almost never "Optimus putting Megatron on the Lost Light was an abuse of authority and unfair to Rodimus and everyone else on the ship" which is an actually valid critique, but I often see it from Megatron fans who are somehow convinced that Optimus was like.............unfair to him?????? By "making" Megatron join the Lost Light? Or by "forcing" him into doing things he didn't want to do?
There's the people who think that being put on the LL was a punishment for Megatron where they were constantly putting him through moral tests designed to make him fail which is.... literally where, where did you get that. The LL was just a random cruiseship of misfits who didn't even ask for Megatron to be on the ship with them, where are ppl getting this idea that Optimus/the LL crew were in some sort of Machiavellan plot to torment Megatron and rub in how he's so evil he'll never be accepted?
Or like the fact that wanting to join the LL in search of the Knights of Cybertron was literally Megatron's own idea and the whole "only the Knights of Cybertron can judge me" thing was a legal loophole that he only pulled out bc he was mad about Starscream publicly humiliating him during his trial? And that if Megatron really didn't want to agree to the terms of his parole, Optimus was just going to keep him in prison until the LL came back with the Knights rather than immediately executing him?
Oh but Optimus made Megatron drink Fool's Energon. Ah yes, it's so evil and unfair of Optimus to make Megatron (one of the deadliest fighters of their entire race) drink a substance to make him weaker due to the fact that in far space, there's no one to enforce Megatron's parole or to stop him if he was lying and really just wanted to kill everyone. And btw Fool's Energon was a placebo the whole time, so Optimus' gay ass couldn't even poison Megatron properly. It was entirely a token gesture made for appearances only.
What about the part where Optimus made Megatron denounce the Decepticons, you cry? Well if one were to actually read the entire speech instead of taking screenshots out of context (something this fandom loves to do), the "we were wrong to assert ourselves" comes directly after a statement about technoism and subjugating organics; in other words, "we were wrong" is referring to the whole colonialism and genocide thing, not saying "we were wrong to rise up against Functionism." (Which btw Optimus was literally a fanboy of Megatron's and agreed with his writings, and pre-war OP did his own undercover work to foil the Senate's plans, and they overthrew the previous Prime Zeta together, so idk where people are getting this idea that Optimus hates Megatron for being a meanie revolutionary that didn't play nice >:((( ).
And given that the Decepticons attacked Megatron's trial to try and break him out, and that there was a splinter faction of Deceptions under Galvatron that were trying to invade Earth again, I think it's pretty fucking reasonable that Optimus would go "So before I very indulgently grant you the rank of captain and let you go on a random cruise ship for your journey of self-actualization, would you mind making a speech to deradicalize the Decepticons? I'm trying to keep society from not descending into another civil war and you helping by telling the Decepticons to Fucking Stop is the least you can do in exchange." I mean if Megatron cared so much about the Decepticons he could've said "No, I'm not going to give that speech, in fact I'm going to stay on Cybertron and speak to the Decepticons my way" but he didn't bc he decided that going on his personal quest was more important than sticking around to integrate the Decepticons back into society.
But somehow, Megatron choosing to make that speech so that he'd be allowed on a ridiculously lenient parole is the big, evil Optimus' fault, and Megatron has nothing to do with how poorly the Decepticons are treated post war, he had no power to stop that apparently.
Like it's just so incredibly weird to me that Megatron fans villainize Optimus for, of all things, letting Megatron join the journey for the Knights of Cybertron. Optimus' decisions were almost entirely driven by personal bias towards Megatron where he abused his authority as Prime to defy what quite literally everyone on Cybertron (and possibly the whole galaxy) wanted, which was Megatron's immediate execution for his crimes. He lets Megatron free of prison with almost no oversight, grants him captaincy of an Autobot ship, gives him a freaking placebo instead of actual weakening energon, and the only thing he demands from Megatron in return is a speech to make the remaining Decepticons who were still fighting (which wasn't even all of them) understand that the war is over. And Megatron accepts all of these terms because the whole thing was his idea that he wanted to be allowed to do. The only reason Optimus' indulgence didn't go badly is bc Megatron wasn't lying and actually meant his heel-face turn.
But somehow all of this makes Optimus the bad guy who's being unfair to Megatron???? Never mind Optimus' flagrant disregard of the law in favor of granting Megatron's personal wish??? Never mind the fact that the conditions for Megatron's parole were incredibly lenient to the point that one of them was a placebo and not hurting Megatron in any way??? Never mind that the speech Optimus made Megatron make was entirely for political reasons to try to stabilize society again and not bc he wanted to humiliate Megatron or something ridiculous like that???
What I mean to say is it's very confusing to me why the discussion of Megatron's trial is "Optimus is so mean/bigoted for making Megatron do what he did and forcing him to live under such strict conditions" and not, idk, "Megatron chose to abandon the Decepticons and publicly denounce their cause for the sake of getting to go on his own personal journey" or even "Megatron was initially going to just submit to trial, and the Knights of Cybertron excuse was something he pulled at the last minute because Starscream made Megatron look like an idiot and Megatron decided he wanted a more Grand and Important legacy than that." Or even "If Megatron cared about the Decepticon,s he would've just refused Optimus' deal and stayed in prison on Cybertron rather than trade the dignity of their cause for his own freedom." Nope. It's all Optimus' fault. Poor Megatron was forced onto the Lost Light and this is such a horrible and unfair punishment for him.
People want Megatron to be a poor downtrodden victim of the Ebul Autobots so bad, when the reality is that post-war/early MTMTE Megatron is nothing more than a dethroned tyrant, severely in denial of of his own shittiness, going on a journey solely to benefit his own ego, and all of MTMTE/LL is about him trying to get better from his stupid pride and self-centered behavior.

Hey lovely❤️❤️ Just popping in with a spring fic request.
Was thinking maybe our handsome boy Jesse with the prompt "You're cute when you try not to blush"
You can totally change it if you want to tho, I'll be happy with anything Jesse you write because I already know it's gonna be beautiful.
Hope you have fun writing this and enjoy your wine, you deserve it!! Love u babe <3
🥺 you are the sweetest! i did change the prompt a little (all of my fics are written as race-neutral so a blushing reader is something i’ll never do), and i've been looking for an excuse to write this fic for a while so i hope you enjoy it!!
words: 910
summary: you're the general of the coruscant guard, and a certain arc trooper keeps finding ways to get arrested to see you.
clone troopers masterlist
Heart Eyes in the Holding Cell
The first time you met Jesse, him and another ARC trooper had been taken in by one of your commanders for speeder racing outside of 79’s. It wasn’t a serious offense, and you understood the need for some soldiers to let loose in slightly unconventional ways given all that they had seen during the war, but Thorn had still brought them in as a little joke (if you had to guess why, it was because they sassed him a little upon getting caught).
“I didn’t know the Coruscant Guard employed such pretty attendants,” one of the troopers said as you stepped into the room with the holding cell. You took in his blissed-out appearance, clearly still tipsy from the liquor he had consumed that night. The number 5 tattooed on his forehead (combined with your knowledge of your best friend’s battalion) told you exactly who this trooper was.
“Technically they don’t,” you said, shifting your body so that he could see the lightsaber strapped to your hip. Your outfit was slightly fancier than usual, given the fact that you had just gotten back from a Senate function, where you served as a voice for the Jedi Council and security for Senator Amidala. “I’m in charge.”
The first trooper’s eyes widened, and the other trooper with him started laughing so hard he was practically crying. “Nice going,” he managed to wheeze out, his head shaking. “Flirting with a general, that’ll get us out of here Fives.”
“Shut up Jesse!”
You just laughed at their antics, crossing your arms. “Actually, we’ve decided to let you go,” you said. Technically you weren’t supposed to let them go until the proper reports were filed or their commanding officer came to pick them up (bureaucracy was a nightmare), but you weren’t above a light joke here and there.
“Really?” Fives looked like you had just told him that he’d been elected chancellor.
“Once your commanding officer comes to pick you up, sure.”
Both Fives and Jesse deflated. “Really, you can’t just open the door right now?”
“Fox has already called Captain Rex, he’ll be here shortly,” you said. “We’re not going to charge you, but you can’t just go joyriding any time you want to.”
At the news that they weren’t going to be in any real trouble, the two troopers relaxed. You ended up staying and talking to them until Rex came to pick them up, and you couldn’t help the way you were drawn to Jesse.
As you waved goodbye to them, you had to try and push some very un-Jedi like thoughts out of your brain.
***
“General!” Every clone’s voice was supposed to be same, but you knew exactly which trooper this voice belonged to. “Fancy seeing you here!”
“Jesse, don’t tell me you’ve been arrested again.” Your utter bewilderment at the amount of times that he had ended up in your holding cell was only beat out by the confusion you held about the smile on his face. Ever since you had met him and Fives all that time ago, he ended up in custody at least once for every time the 501st was on leave.
“Nah, like I told you last time, I just break into the holding cell for fun.”
You sighed. “What was it this time?”
He smiled harder. “Does it really matter, mesh’la?”
Oh, his words should not have had an effect on you. Trying to keep your composure, you raised an eyebrow at him. “I think it does.”
“Racing again,” he said, managing to somehow look proud of that fact that he had gotten caught.
“I think I’m going to tell Rex to put you on a leash whenever you all to go the bar or something,” you joked.
“Why, you don’t want to see me?”
“Oh, are you taking lessons from Fives now? Trying to flirt with the General to get out of jail?”
“Maybe. You’re cute when you try not to smile, you know that?”
Clearly he wasn’t going to give up (and maybe you didn’t want him to), so you decided to try a different approach. “And you’d be cute too if you didn’t stop getting arrested so much. If you wanted to see me, you could have just stopped by and said hello.”
For all the times he had flirted with you before, Jesse seemed lost for words when you finally started to flirt back. The smile on your face was wider now, as you took in the confused expression he wore.
And to confuse him a little bit more, you unlocked the holding cell. “Come on,” you said. “If you promise not to get arrested again, I’ll take you out to dinner.”
Jesse looked stunned. “But- you’re a-”
You just laughed. “If your general can be married to a senator, I think I can let one date slide.”
He regained his cool with in an impressive amount of time, right as you two were approaching the front door to headquarters. “Why do you think it’s just going to be one date?”
“I don’t know, I guess you’ll just have to impress me.”
Right before he stepped outside into the night air, he leaned in and placed a soft kiss on your cheek. “Don’t worry cyar’ika, I plan on it.” And with that, the door opened and he walked away from the building.
You couldn’t stop thinking about him for the rest of the night. He was bold, and you liked that.

Clone Wars characters as things i've heard in class
you have no idea how long i've been saving these up
Fives: Stop licking my dryer sheet!
Ahsoka: Yeah, he transferred to the Senate guard, he doesn’t like it there. He says they smell like pencils.
Ahsoka:*Walking in* Barriss, what’s the average life span of a woman? Like 70-80 years, right? I need comfort. I need to know that I will die eventually.
Anakin: Just get a giant hammer, name it kindness, and then BAM.
Palpatine: Yes, taxing the peasants, very good!
Obi-Wan: I am begging you, stop spamming the cringey Twitter account I made in high school.
Anakin: How much Spanish do you you speak?
Kit Fisto: Enough to know all the cuss words.
Leia: Thus, philosophy’s flaming razor sword: It doesn’t matter.
Riyo Chuchi: I actually blew a couple of fuses in my room last year, so maintenance says I’m not supposed to plug in five waffle irons at a time any more.
Rex:*Swears upon knocking over something hot and heavy, looks up* In case you didn’t hear that — KRIFF.
Ahsoka: Just eat the frog already!
Ahsoka: You know what’s worse than freshmen? Freshman boys.
Obi-Wan: *As Korkie walks past in the hallway* Hello, mini-me.
Quinlan Vos: Anyone here watched the movie Jaws? Well, I’m writing a book, and it’ll be kind of like that, but with fantasy Puritans and a giant spider. I’m calling it “Puritan Spider Jaws”
Later: I haven’t decided who’s gonna die yet, but I’m thinking the spider’s gonna get set on fire.
Young Obi-Wan: Qui-gon’s a cool teacher, he’s so laid back. I think he might be high like half the time, but his class is really fun.
Mace Windu: Anyone else going to answer? Alright, then. Go ahead, Ben. You could probably teach this class better than me anyway.
Anakin: You know what would solve all of Coruscant’s population problems? Lab babies.
Han, to Luke: You were at that school for three years and didn’t memorize the camera locations?
Leia: Look at my other mask
Han: Why?
Leia: Because it’s black, like your soul.
Kix: I don’t like fighting. Sometimes Rex gets frustrated and yells “Hit him!” Then I hit him once and Rex’s like “Yeah!” and the other guy’s on the floor crying and I’m like “AUGHHHHHH!”
Padmé: Just because I have money doesn’t mean I don’t have feelings.
Ahsoka: Are you going to have any chocolate milk, Rex?
Anakin: Ahsoka, he’s lactose intolerant.
Ahsoka: Oh, sorry—
Rex: Nope. Only for you, Ahsoka.
Rex: *proceeds to pour and chug an entire glass of chocolate milk.*
Obi-Wan: *sarcastically* Didn’t you know? Gingers control the sun.
Korkie: *panicking* Well, no one told me!
Anakin: You know, Master Fisto. Really super buff. Looks like he would run a 5K at the drop of a hat.
Obi-Wan: Anakin, stop making pterodactyl noises.
Din Djarin: Sometimes people ask me about my pronouns. I say that I don’t care what they call me, but it’s not true. I just want to be pronounced “dead.”
Anakin: 4’11”!
Ahsoka: Hey, Master
Anakin: I’m so glad she responds to that. It’s the highlight of my day.
Fives: What are tootsie rolls, anyway? They’re not chocolate, they’re not taffy—
Jesse: It’s better not to ask
Waxer: I got—
Cody: Got expelled? Welp, get your stuff, see you never, nice knowing you.
Ahsoka: Madame Nu don’t care
Jocasta Nu: She don’t
Bail Organa: I have only ever had one person in my life who actually liked banana-flavored Laffy Taffy. And I no longer speak to them.
Obi-Wan: Be careful with these, they’re fragile and expensive—
Anakin: Like my heart
Barriss: The afterlife should be Communist
Hamsters: *frenzied squeaking*
Anakin: *pulling out a small pail* awww…you guys want some Nutella?
Obi-Wan: Stop offering them Nutella
Ahsoka: Is that WHOLE THING filled with Nutella?
Anakin: I mean, not anymore…
Luke: What does a kilogram weigh in American?
Luke: Legally, I can say whatever I want
Han: And I can legally fight you
Boba: Actually, I’m asexual. My son will look exactly like me.
Leia: Han’s got a rough life. Already colorblind, now he’s going deaf at seventeen.
Luke: How do I cite my brain in APA?
Din Djarin: Costco is a cult
Obi-Wan: Can anyone tell me what this is called?
Anakin: A diagram
Obi-Wan: It starts with a k
Anakin: A kdiagram
Ahsoka: *holding up energy drink* Look, Master! Third one today!
Obi-Wan: You are going to die.
Obi-Wan: *checks nutrition facts* 800 mg. Less than a cup of coffee, not too bad. Maybe you won’t die. But you probably will.
Anakin: Master, what if we each brought you a thousand dollars? Then would we still have to take the test?
Mace Windu: I mean, I guess would be better than bringing me… disappointment—
Fennec: It was overhyped
Boba: You just have no soul, that’s what it is
Luke: Eight! Y’know, the devil’s number.
Jango Fett: Why wouldn’t you clone yourself?
Ahsoka: So, when will the grades be in? Tomorrow, or… when should I expect to be depressed?
Padmè, during a mock senatorial campaign: Would you like some of The People’s™ lip balm? It has sparkles.
Luke: Are you okay?
Han, without looking up from his work: I’m straight.
Luke:…
Luke: Well, congratulations on coming out—
Ahsoka: The only one of these I can apply for is the poetry scholarship
Anakin: Roses are red, violets are blue…
Rex: …please give me money.
Ahsoka: Hey, what’s that? Are you planning how we’re all gonna die?
Cody: Yup
Luke: You should play Abba!
Han: You sound like my mother.
Cara: Who’s the main character in your life, Mando?
Din: Uh… my cat, probably
Fives, spinning across the room in a rolling chair: Bounty. The quicker picker upper.
Hondo: No scams for me please, I like money.
Anakin: I’m gonna do a patriotism
Waxer: What is it…
Boil: What’s what?
Waxer: That thing Commander says we’re not allowed to do to the shinies.
Boil: Initiation?
Waxer: There was another word for it.
Boil: Hazing?
Waxer: Yeah! That’s it.
Kix: Fives, if you drop those donuts I will drop YOU

I feel like the best way to "fix" Padme in the Prequels isn't to have Anakin brainwashing her, but to just have her be morally corrupt from at least the start of AOTC. In TPM, she's a scared young Queen, she's trying so hard to be peaceful and diplomatic and it DOESN'T WORK and she has to turn to violence and war to save her own people. She's not who she used to be anymore.
So when you start up AOTC, Anakin makes his interest known sort-of accidentally and Padme is immediately intrigued. There's none of that "Oh Ani, you'll always be that little boy I knew from Tatooine" stuff, let her follow up on the "Wow you've grown" comment just a tad more, comment on how impressive he looks now, nearly a Knight himself! And in the packing scene, instead of calmly explaining that sometimes mentors see our flaws better than we'd like, have her agree that Obi-Wan's treatment sounds frustrating perhaps, she can relate it to her own struggles in the Senate with other politicians who just won't LISTEN TO HER. In response, Anakin says that at least this new mission means he'll be away from Obi-Wan and spending time with Padme alone which sounds so much more enjoyable. Padme asks him how much more enjoyable and, well, things can devolve from there. Fade to black or just a kiss and a promise to follow up on Naboo or something, doesn't matter.
And you can let Anakin question why she's doing it or something if you want, bring up that it should be forbidden for them to be together and that Padme is risking a lot by doing this with him. Give Padme a nice simple answer here. Something like "I learned when my planet was attacked that life can be so short and sometimes the best way forward is to act decisively. I know what I want, and I'm willing to take the risk, because this feels worth it to me, it feels right." Nothing too deep and it brings up a little sympathy from the last film.
At the lake scene in the rainbow dress, bring back the comment Padme made in that deleted scene from their arrival on Naboo where she mentions she had expected to have a family by now, but with everything going on in the Senate she isn't sure that'll ever happen. Instead of "I hate sand" (yes yes I know) let Anakin RELATE to Padme's musings on her desire for a family, mention how he'd always kind-of wanted a child of his own, how important family is to him and while the Jedi ARE a family, it's not the kind of family he knew and grew up with and sometimes he misses it.
Come back to her frustrations with the Senate during the meadow scene on Naboo, let her admit that sometimes she DOES wish she could just force them all to listen to her even though she knows that that would lead to more problems than it would fix, so when she brushes off Anakin's dictatorship comment as a joke, it makes a LOT more sense that she would think that way.
And then for a more modern fix-it, have Anakin NOT murder all of the Tuskens, just the warriors, but he admits that he nearly did kill them all, that he wanted to, and a part of him still wants to return to the village and finish what he started even if it's not the Jedi way. It's still violent, and still a horrifying red flag, but this allows Padme to decides that Anakin's feelings are more important than the lives he took (and almost took). It's less out of character because she's been stupid for him from literally the start, they've been probably fucking since they got to Naboo, she's already compromising on her own morals for him, why not do it again?
Is this my ideal Padme? No. My ideal Padme is much more complex than this, but that Padme cannot exist in the story they were telling in the Prequels, so the best way to have Padme exist more easily in the Prequels without completely changing the story for her is to just simplify her down a lot.

Best Place to Sleep (Commander Fox x GN Asexual Aromantic Reader)
Fox x Asexual Aromantic Reader
Word Count: 2165
Warnings: minors DNI, some chaste kissing, bed sharing, reader is sex-repulsed aroace who is particular about kissing
A/N: I wrote these headcanons for clones with ace partners and basically now I want to write at least one fic for each clone with a partner who is somewhere on the aroace spectrum.  (I’m taking requests if you have any.)  Ultimately the relationship in this one is going to be a queerplatonic partnership with I love yous. Similar vibes to the Rex fic I posted a few weeks back, but different scenario for our boy Fox who would definitely wear pajamas all day every day if he could.
Also I'm sorry. I had an outline for this and then I started writing and it sprouted legs and went down its own path, so it took a little while to put together.
It started when you literally ran into Commander Fox while running between senators’ offices. You assisted the senator from your home planet, but half the time felt like a senate page running flimsi documents around as bills were written and rewritten.
You turned the corner with piles of flimsi and two datapads in your arms and practically dumped it all on a certain clone’s chest. At first you sensed annoyance under his bucket, but then he kneeled down to help you gather everything.
“I’m sorry,” you said.
“It’s alright,” he sighed.  He seemed tired, but it was the middle of the day.
“Can I get you some caf as an apology… Com…man…der??” You weren’t exactly sure of his rank.
You heard a little chuckle. “Fox. Commander Fox.” He shrugged. “Sure.”  He walked you to your destination where you unceremoniously dumped all the documents and datapads on a desk and walked out. This was more important and your day was nearly done anyway. The senator had gone home for some event, so surely you could get this nice man some caf before heading home yourself.
You walked to the cafe nearby and ordered drinks.  Once you sat down, he took his helmet off.  Sure, he was a clone, but there was a familiarity there, like you knew some things about him before he even spoke. You were both tired from long days, but sipping that caf seemed to calm you both.  You made polite conversation and then it turned into frank discussions of your jobs.  Relating to Fox, even for a brief time, helped relieve some stress.  You invited him for caf the next week and before you knew it, the two of you always had a reason to run into each other and catch up over caf.
Eventually you decided to ask him over to your place. You were appalled when he shared the food he was limited to eating and clones didn’t really make credits, so going out and trying new things was out of the question for him. Until now. You had no problem introducing him to the concept of take out food.  He wasn’t sure what to order so you ordered an abundance of things which he helped carry to your home.  You opened the door for him.  It wasn’t much, but it was your space and you were grateful for quiet, respectful neighbors. He looked around in awe.
“You have your own couch?! A kitchen, your own refresher, and I bet you also have a bed.”  You laughed a little, and he was being a bit silly, but it dawned on you that the clones really didn’t have much to call their own.
“Yeah, this is all mine,” you replied. “Make yourself at home.”
He put the bags down and you opened the containers and got some plates. He took off his bucket along with the rest of his armor.  It was the first time you’d seen him in just his blacks and he smiled a little sheepishly at you. You grinned.
“Okay handsome, let’s eat.”
He came over and took a plate. You explained the dishes you’d chosen. Two types of noodles, one fried with vegetables. Another plain, but it would go well with the various sauteed meats and vegetables, some spicier than others. He took a little of everything and had a hard time picking a favorite.
“There’s so much food in the galaxy,” you said. “No need to have a favorite just from these.”
“They’re all so good though,” he replied between bites. “So much flavor. I’m even starting to feel full.”
You smiled.  He was clearly enjoying himself, taking his time, not having to get back to work right away, or deal with some issue.
“Do you want to stay for a while,” you asked with hopeful quietness.
“If that’s okay,” he replied.  You nodded and he helped you put the leftovers away before sitting on the couch and turning on a holo.  He didn’t mean to, but part way through the movie he’d fallen asleep.  You laid down on the other end of the couch, but with your legs resting on his, unsure yet of how close you wanted to get. You finished the movie while he softly snored.  You wanted to stay with him, but chose instead to adjust him with some pillows so his neck wouldn’t hurt in the morning. He was completely out. You left him to sleep there and went to your own room, but your bed felt colder than it ever had before. You managed to fall asleep, though, and were only woken up when you heard his feet patter down the hallway to the refresher in the morning. You got up and threw a robe on, hoping he wasn’t about to leave, but he was already in his armor.  You couldn’t stop your face from dropping.
“Sorry,” he said. “I have to get back, but… well, that was the nicest night I’ve had in a really long time. And that couch is so comfortable. The best place to sleep. Much more comfortable than my bed. Thank you for having me over.”
You searched for a way to make sure this wasn’t a one time thing.
“Fox? Do you think you’d like to come over again sometime?”
“What are you doing tonight,” he replied with a grin. Before you could stop yourself you threw your arms around him in a hug and whispered “see you tonight.”
Fox started coming over at least once a week.  Walking home with him whenever you both worked, trying new foods, and relaxing after a long day soon became everything.  Sometimes he would spend the night, but he gave you space and slept on the couch.  So he wouldn’t have to wear his blacks so much, you started buying him clothes for his overnight stays.  Several hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants, and comfortable socks all became staples. He loved fluffy socks. Although he expressed concerns that you were wasting all your money on him, you immediately shushed him. You weren’t going to hear it. He had made your life so much better, so much more comfortable.  You wanted him to be comfortable and happy too.
Things were going swimmingly, with lots of hugs and some cuddles.  He was always a gentleman.  You started sharing chores and were starting to feel bad that Fox slept on the couch so much, but he seemed to love the couch.  You didn’t want to push in any particular direction if you weren’t ready for some serious conversation. Up until now things just seemed to flow.  Everything else seemed easy.  When he washed dishes and you dried and put them away? Easy. He would lean in for a keldabe kiss in the middle of it and everything seemed right and fine and happy.
One evening you went out with some friends and they wanted to hear everything.  Although they were usually very understanding of your relationship style, up until now they seemed to think that finding someone to commit to that relationship style would be hard.
“Fox and I have something special,” you said firmly. “Are we lovers? No. Not in the way people think. But I am in love with him. He’s my person. I don’t know how else to say it.”
They all froze and stared at you. That was the first time you acknowledged how you felt out loud. Fox had managed to climb into your heart in a way no one else had. The thought was immediately followed by your own realization that you needed to talk to him about it.
The next day Fox was coming over and you took a deep breath as you walked down the halls around the senate building.  You met him at the usual place and he reached for your hand. As you walked home, you kept sighing to yourself.
“What is it,” he asked, stopping in the middle of the walkway. “I have to know.”
Before you could stop the words they came out like an avalanche. “How do you feel about me? Because I think I love you.”
He took his bucket off and softly rested his forehead to yours. Immense relief poured from his soul. He closed his eyes briefly as if his own sense of contentment could slow down the universe for a moment.
“I love you, cyar’ika.”
“How do you feel about things, as far as the physical things between us?”
“Well I was wondering if I could kiss you, but otherwise, I’m very happy. Cuddling up to you is everything.” He pulled you into his arms and rested his cheek against you.
After a few moments you continued walking back to your place with a new sense of peace.  You talked about your boundaries and wanted to know his. Nothing was a surprise. He was happy, just as he seemed to be happy. Nothing was missing for him just as nothing was missing for you.
After you walked through the door of your home, you said, “You can kiss me. Only some places though. I don’t like the idea of tongues and all that.” You made a face that made him laugh a little, but he took your words to heart.
“My tongue will stay in my mouth, don’t worry,” he replied. “I will need detailed notes on where I can kiss you. And for the record, you can kiss me anywhere any time, but there is no pressure to do that.” He changed into his hoodie and pants along with socks with foxes on them. He sat on the couch and pulled you into his lap. You gave him a keldabe kiss and he added a sweet kiss to your cheek.
“Will you sleep with me tonight,” you asked quietly. “Just sleep. I don’t like the idea of you being on the couch all the time and me in bed alone when there’s room.”
“Are you sure? I don’t know if I’m a nice person to share a bed with.”
You suddenly realized that sleeping on the couch might also be a comfort thing for him. He had never done any relationship like this before.
“What are you worried about, exactly?”
“I don’t know,” he said. “I just don’t want to take over the bed, or snore loud, or I don’t know. It’s your space.”
“I’d like it to be our space,” you answered.
That night he got into bed with you.  He pulled you into his arms and held you, kissing your forehead and falling asleep almost immediately.  You laid an arm across his middle and it wasn’t long before you were asleep too.
You woke up in a different position, but he was still cuddled against your back, one arm loosely around you.  You could feel him breathing on your shoulder.  You finally felt warm enough with him there. It was the most relaxed you’d ever felt. He started to stir and gave you a sleepy morning smile when you rolled over and back into his arms.
“This is the best bed,” he said. “Best I ever slept on. And so warm.” He somehow managed to snuggle up closer. You knew your life would never be the same.
Fox moved in, in every way but on flimsi. He still had official quarters since he was required to, but they were pretty bare and only served as a place to hide away and get a few minutes of shut eye when he had to work long into the night.  For whatever reason, it seemed Hound allowed Grizzer to use his bed to take naps when he wasn’t using it.
The routines of life started having more joy in them.  After he’d shower, he loved it when you massaged his scalp and ran your fingers through his hair.  You loved it when he brought home your favorite foods so you didn’t have to bother cooking and cleaning up.
A few years into the relationship and you wondered what life was like before Fox.  You looked at him as he ate breakfast and out of no where wanted to kiss him.  Remembering his “you can kiss me anywhere any time,” you placed a soft kiss on his temple before sitting down next to him.  His face felt a flush of heat as if he had fallen in love all over again.  He grinned and kissed your cheek.
He playfully asked, “Will you walk me to work, my love?”
“Of course,” you replied, “but only if you walk me to work too.”
“That can be arranged,” he answered. “I’m going that way anyway.”
When you got into bed that night, despite all the nights that came before it, he still said, “This is the best place to sleep.”
“Oh? You still love this mattress. Better than the GAR issue ones, I’m told.”
“That’s not it,” he said, laying next to you with a yawn and resting his forehead on yours. “It’s the best place because it’s with you.”
