AU where Bruce isn’t a billionaire but just you’re regular everyday history teacher. He still has all his martial arts training and stuff because he meets Selina and Talia in college and is like ‘hot women... must be able to keep up with her in a fight...’ and no parents (well Alfred exists but yk), but is otherwise normal. No Batman.
Then he meets small Dick Grayson, recently orphaned in a whole new country, and his adoption senses are like ‘hnggg’.
And small Jason Todd before his mom dies and he winds up on the streets so when Jason goes missing from class he gets worried and finds him and is like ‘hey Dick do you want a new brother’.
Given Tim went to boarding schools I can’t see him meeting him first, so maybe he meets Steph first?? And he notices how no one seems to care where she is etc and is like ‘can I adopt you??’
And THEN Tim’s parents die ig and then Steph’s like ‘yo can you adopt by bestie’.
And then he meets Cass I guess?? Not as a teacher. Maybe she saves him from being mugged or something and his child sense immediately tingles and he’s like ‘child?? With?? No home?? Would you like me to-’
Reiterating he’s a history teacher, so he probably has like a three bedroom apartment and already has five kids.
Then Talia is like ‘hehe soo remember when I said I miscarried well ACTUALLY-’ and Bruce is like ‘wtf this is a. child. Why does child have. Sword.’ And Talia’s like ‘oh I thought you’d use all your martial arts training to go out dressed up as a Bat and beat up bad guys so I could use the terrifying image you cast as a way to train our son more.’ And Bruce like ‘wtf no I have better coping mechanisms than that’ ‘oh - wait why are there so many rats here?’ ‘THOSE ARE MY CHILDREN TALIA-’
Dick still hates Talia because I find that hilarious. Damian is like five, already carting around a sword, and Bruce DOES NOT have exactly one (1) coping mechanism of cage fights in a fursuit so he’s like ‘Okay. Let’s try to work out your aggression is a less violent way’ ‘FATHER I WILL BE YOUR ONE TRUE HEIR’ ‘To what? My teaching job? Okay.’
Then Duke’s parents are Jokerized (bc the Rogues still exist) and he stops showing up to class and Bruce gets worried again and finds this child trying to take on the Joker by himself and is like ‘okay yeah no’.
And then one day he gets Cullen Row in class, and he’s a sweet kid, kind of jumpy, but then he sees some assholes picking on him for being gay and goes all teacher mode and is like ‘do you want me to talk to your parents??’ and Cullen’s like ‘lol my dad would probably give them a medal’ ‘Hmmm okay so can I adopt-’ Naturally Harper is a package deal.
Basically Bruce adopts all his kids but IS NOT a violent furry so he’s a good dad and doesn’t enlist them into his weird ass ‘war on crime’ or whatever he calls it.
Also the kids get to share rooms now and fight over bathrooms-

I always feel so frustrated with how unimaginative Marvel is with Remy, the only interesting things he's had is New Sun and X-Factor. Idk if this is true, but I read there was some rumor that Remy was gonna be an alter ego of Sinister, which would've given the writers more to work with imo. I think why some writers like Rogue and Erik more since they're much easier to work with outside of shipping. Same with Kurt, whom I sometimes think Remy is a pale imitation of (Catholic, martial artist, looks demonic, ladies man, even his powers suit a thief more than Remy's). If Kurt and Rogue weren't siblings, I'd sooner ship Rogue with him than Remy. Also, since Remy can only charge non-living things, it just makes him look weak and limited compared to other characters. I don't say all this shit to be mean, but I do get frustrated with how little material he's given, and can understand why his character is constantly put on the back burner in various media compared to other X-Men characters.
Yeah I remember reading somewhere they'd thought about doing something like that with Remy and Sinister and I think instead went with New Sun? Something like that. Also considered having him be ANOTHER Secret Summers Brother and I'm glad we didn't go this route lol we need to stop the Summers-Grey family tree from taking over the whole X-verse while we can.
I'll say that I don't feel that Remy is a pale imitation of Kurt mainly because I feel Remy deals with a lotta things that Kurt really doesn't on a personal level (true parental abandonment like no margali in SIGHT kinda shit, street life, crime, child soldier gangland shit, the greys and blacks of morality etc). You see more of those things in his solos which can even get a bit of a noir vibe to them which is nice but people just rarely wanna put in the time and effort with Remy. They rarely get him so they knock him down into say, the TAS 90s Gambit mold and call it a day. Which is just ....... no one wants that. Not Gambit Haters, not Gambit Stans.
And I get what you're saying about his powers but I think if he could charge living matter constantly like he can as New Sun homie would be so comically OP. I think the real issue here is just again, fuckers don't know how to write him so they go for whatever's easiest. So it's all lame, dumb and boring. If they let him get funky with his powers a bit more it'd could be super cool.
The pro of Rogue and Magneto when made scene partners is that they do have much more solid pre-existing characterizations, vibes and "story packs". As a writer you can walk in and already there's a couple of things you can do which are kinda like Rogue or Magneto Classics. Remy not so much so he ends up being like, Rogue's loser sidekick which sucks.
I feel you tho on the shitshow that is comic Rogue-Kurt dynamics. I too can see the appeal and charm of them as a romantic ship just as much as I can see them working wonderfully as a sibling pair. My beef around them has been for years that we get this Big Reveal that Mystique is Kurt's Bio-Mom but after he has his initial freak out for a couple issues in Excalibur or Uncanny or w/e he was in at the time I forget I just remember Amanda is there this whole thing-- IT NEVER REALLY COMES UP AGAIN BETWEEN HIM AND ROGUE AND THEY JUST ACT LIKE NORMAL AND OCCASIONALLY MENTION THEY'RE SORT-OF RELATED IN A WAY THAT'S MORE OF A REMINDER TO THE AUDIENCE????? LIKE IT'S FUN TRIVIA INSTEAD OF A PLOT POINT OR IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP????
their first serious non-combat interaction was basically Kurt telling her to drop dead when she comes to Xavier for help when she's 17 and he's 21. He finally cuts her some slack after she ALMOST DIES IN A SUICIDE BY VILLAIN ATTEMPT to save Wolverine's fiance which makes Wolverine go "yeah okay fine your not total dogshit ig" so NOW Kurt'll stop being a raging asshole to the mentally ill teen lol (I'm shit talking Kurt rn but this is genuinely part of why I love him). Then there's MAYBE a couple of scenes that are outside of Action Stuff before the X-Men "die" in the late 80s and we get Excalibur where the two of them interact, the biggest of them is him FLIRTING WITH HER.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Uncanny X-Men (1963) #192
Now-- it's Kurt so this isn't anything really all that crazy. He jokingly flirts with like 90% of the X-Men. It's just the kinda silly funny quirky guy he is. But when I'm trying to think of say, Rogue-Kurt moments POST the Mystique Reveal that really feel like People Connecting or them Actually Being Siblings I draw a blank. This flirting scene is more iconic and stand out than basically all of their 00s and on interactions because it feels like a natural and very emotional conflict they WOULD have. He goofs around like he always does, her feelings get hurt, he realizes what he's done and feels like an ass and wants to fix it. EMOTIONS HAPPENED HERE, CHARACTERIZATION AND CONFLICTED OCCURRED. THIS CONFLICT AND LATER RECONCILIATION WILL LEAD TO A BETTER FRIENDSHIP AS WE GO! THANKS CLAREMONT!
Even at her wedding he's basically just like "well I AM her brother (remember? did you see that watchmojo listicle? have you read my wiki recently) and I AM blue so I should ALSO be in the wedding."
There's really not a lot of content of them like, hanging out, post 2004 or so. Some of that is just them being in different books but a lot of it just no one putting in the time or effort. X-Treme X-Men (2001) was all about Rogue looking into shit related to Destiny's writings and grappling with some Family and Personal Grief at the start there. Kurt shoulda been around for at least the first arc. Not thunderbird that absolutely nothing of a dude. It was the perfect setting to work on this issue that the 6 degrees of Mystique™ has made. One of the only other encounters between them I can think of that's post-90s is this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rogue (2001) #4
And this interaction is set like VERY SOON after she joined the X-Men!!!! So it's not even a truly modern scene of them just vibing!!!!
To me, they're NOT siblings. Not in the way Kurt is with Amanda who's his ACTUAL adoptive sister or even in the way that Rogue is with Bobby, Sam or Scott who she just has Massive Broship Energies with and it's entirely because their 6 Degrees of Mystique™ is tenuous at best for how much it would really matter to them. Kurt HAS a family! He HAS siblings! Mystique abandoned/lost him and never looked for him or intended to tell him about their connection until forced to. He was raised by Margali and sees HER FAMILY as HIS family and they think the same! Like that's a standard ass adoptive family vibe.
Rogue is found by Mystique and Irene and raised by them in near isolation ON ANOTHER CONTINENT and is never informed about Kurt even in a past "i had a baby and lost him" tense kinda way or Graydon either. To her knowledge growing up she HAS NO SIBLINGS OF ANY KIND. She meets and fights against and then beside Kurt with no idea there's literally anything connecting them but that they're both mutants and x-men for like, YEARS even IN canon. Their whole relationship is rocky as shit for a WHILE there and then she gets YEETED SECRETLY TO AUSTRALIA AND HE THINKS SHE DIED. And let's be clear-- sure he's upset about her "death" too but he is MUCH more upset over the "deaths" of Logan, Ororo and Peter who he ACTUALLY NAMES WHILE TALKING ABOUT THIS GRIEF. Because you know... THESE RELATIONSHIPS ACTUALLY HAD FUCKING SCREENTIME.
Tumblr media
Excalibur (1988) #1
He's not a monster, he does give a shit about her, but realistically over the years VERY little time has been put into building ANY relationship between Rogue and Kurt of ANY kind and it's frustrating when they really wanna act like they've got one. They don't. And it pisses me off because realistically Rogue/Kurt is less fucked up than Amanda/Kurt and guess which one is canon. Because of the 6 Degrees of Mystique™ people don't really ship them even tho there's an even more Yikes Kurt ship that's canon and Does Not Seem To Fucking Die, there's been no real development of ANY kind of relationship between him and Rogue, they've lived their ENTIRE lives not knowing each other or not really being more than coworkers and Kurt has NO INTEREST in truly claiming Mystique as his mother which is valid-- she fucking sucks.
I think Rogue/Kurt has legs and it's aggravating to me because I also really like Rogue & Kurt siblingship! I grew up watching Evolution! The sibling vibes and friendship that grow naturally up between them even BEFORE the Mystique Reveal in that show are just CHEF'S KISS. But in comics they IMPLY a familial connection that really.... doesn't mean much... and then they don't show these two deciding it to make it mean something or organically falling into a good sibling relationship... so they cut off the dynamic at the knees. You'll be shit on if you try to go off script and explore a more romantic angle because "ew they're rElAtEd" (ignoring all the previously stated flaws in that argument), there's nothing in canon that helps you figure out how friendly they even truly are so good luck building something canon compliant and they just generally don't seem to even give a shit about this dynamic at all so without dipping into other adaptations/AUs it can be hard to find something to even SAY about them.
Like I'd love to see Rogue and Kurt engage like, finding out what the Mystique Reveal means to them and how they see each other. I'd love to see them becoming friends and then family. I'd love to see them making that CHOICE. Because really in this context it's a CHOICE. She's not his adoptive sister, Amanda is. She's not his bio sister either in 616, that idea got shot down early on. She's a girl his bio mom who is a stranger to him raised an ocean away while he was raised in a loving home with siblings he adores. They met when she was a villain, he vehemently disliked her until she almost died saving someone's life then he tried to at least be civil and friendly. He finds out Mystique is his bio mother and asks Rogue about her but at the end of the day feels no real connection to Mystique or her life. His mother is Margali. The circus was his family. He cares about Mystique, Irene and Rogue because he's a decent human being but like, not in the same amount or extent as his adoptive family.
You can't have a scene of him flirting, even jokingly, with her in the 80s then think a 1993 mom reveal some how totally erases that vibe. Especially when you then put like no effort into exploring that GOLDMINE OF A PLOT THREAD. They've got so few non-combat just hanging out and engaging in character development interactions in 616 canon I can count them on my hands. At this point you could spin a wheel and decide to give them any relationship dynamic and it could genuinely work because there's no real content of them in comics to use contest it.
Like at her wedding they bring up that he's her brother again. That shouldn't be something we have a "turn to the camera and remind the audience" moment about. That should be as "well duh" to me as Bobby being her best man or Scott and Alex being brothers. It's not. It's just not. Their connection is just a factoid at this point and I hate it. You can't close off all these other potential dynamics for them (romantic/enemies/rivals/shitty roommates/etc whatever) by making them connected via Mystique, having an line every like, 10 years that reminds us they're "siblings" (are they tho? are they really? is that how this works?) and kinda vaguely imply they don't hate each other which is really just riding on the fact that pretty much ALL the X-Men like Kurt and we the audience like both of them and then GIVE US NOTHING WITH THAT STATED DYNAMIC!
MORE TIME AND EFFORT WAS PUT INTO MAKING NATE GREY SEE MADYLENE PRYOR AS HIS MOTHER OVER JEAN THAN HAS EVER BEEN PUT INTO MAKING ROGUE AND KURT FEEL LIKE THEY'RE EVEN FRIENDS LET ALONE SIBLINGS AND I'M VERY MAD ABOUT IT!!!! EITHER GIVE ME WHAT I WANT OR CUT THE REINS AT LET ME DO WHATEVER!!!
fsdkjghksdl so i just get VERY heated about this it's a pet peeve of mine.

had a dream that was fucking wild
during it, childe went rogue and took a few fatui with him to create his own army to take over the world. homeboys went insane.
and apparently he seduced gorou and his army is now teamed up with the rogue fatui and set off to mondstadt (where zhongli was visiting for a minute) to take over 'the territory of the fatui' and massacred everyone who lived there so now its only the fatui, gorous army, zhongli and venti (who childe was fighting with roses sword from steven universe)
the sword originally belonged to zhongli but childe took it, idk
venti lost his form and is now a sad tiny pterosaur
the sword broke and zhongli lost his powers ig the sword was a stand in for the gnosis
childe and gorou kissed and the archons are flung across the sea and during the time when zhongli was flying back with venti i woke up.
so yeah, my dreams dont have meaning but they're funky movies to watch while i trial death every night..
edit: i forgot to mention that this all played out in the style of a looney tunes episode, with the facial expressions and sounds. venti made that tom cat scream atLEAST twice

I am a Sasuke stan first and a human second, but ffs some of the pro Sasuke people on this blog (and tumblr in general) have some of the WORST anti SNS takes I have ever seen. The things you hate Naruto for are legit head canons at this point, and you demonize SNS to the point that it sounds like you straight did not read the manga.
Listen it will ALWAYS be fuck konoha, fuck the shinobi system, fuck the naruto ending for acting like Sasuke was just crazy, fuck sasukes character conclusion that made him a good konoha puppy and belittled his justified rage, fuck the narrative for painting the uchiha as monsters. I am WITH yall on that. But you guys put so much shit on Naruto that he never did, or make his words and actions so wildly bad faith that it's barely canon.
"Naruto said he would rip Sasukes limbs off to keep him in Konoha!" Because he was joining orochimaru? Naruto specifically said those things in regards to Sasuke joining Orochimaru because he was scared Orochimaru was going to treat him like an experiment, which he literally DOES. Naruto SAYS that Orochimaru is just going to use his body and kill him. Naruto is SCARED for Sasuke and doesn't want him to sacrifice himself. Sure it was extreme, but are yall legit mad that Naruto went a little crazy at the prospect of Sasuke joining infamous child experimenter and torturer Orochimaru? That's a fucking normal reaction?
"Naruto never cared about Sasuke's goals! He just wanted to win him back like a trophy!" Naruto doesnt know the truth for the first half of the story, he wants Sasuke back in Konoha because Sasuke is in DANGER as a rogue. Do you forget that defector shinobi have hits out on them and the villages want them dead? He never "shoots down" Sasuke's goals he just doesnt want Sasuke to be a TERRORIST, which like, i fully support Sasuke's tits out terrorism era but thats not an abusive mindset for Naruto to have? Naruto is the one who plans and leaves Konoha to kill Itachi (which, yeah that was Sasuke's business, but he wasn't brushing off Sasuke's revenge like kakashi was). He chews Itachi out to his face for treating Sasuke like shit despite knowing that Itachi could turn him into creamed corn. When he learns the truth after the Kage summit he tells Sasuke that he understands why he has done everything. He! Is! The! Only! Character! To explicitly validate and empathize with Sasuke over his actions up until that point! He is the only one to say that Sasuke isn't being out of pocket for what he has done! He is the only character to suggest Sasuke's feelings and actions are justified! Sasuke is the one who immediately tells him to get fucked, Naruto doesn't even tell him to stop or anything. Naruto is also WILLING TO GIVE HIS DREAMS UP and die with Sasuke, and he ONLY SAYS that they will have to fight to the death if Sasuke attacks Konoha. He wasn't trying to fight Sasuke to bring him back, he just wanted to protect his home (and the completely innocent people inside). Kakashi and Sakura BOTH try to kill Sasuke and he stops them both. Kakashi and Sakura BOTH tell Naruto that this "isn't the same Sasuke he's a monster now :(" and Naruto says no fuck that. Naruto is the only character to consistently see Sasuke's heart, to see that Sasuke isn't evil or unhinged he's just HURTING and angry. Isn't that what yall Sasuke stans (myself included ig) preach constantly? Naruto is the one that is enraged when Orochimaru calls Sasuke "his" and begs for his life on his knees to the Raikage, swearing that Sasuke isn't corrupt. Naruto is the only character that consistently humanizes and sees the good in Sasuke while the rest of Konoha and co calls for his death and writes him off as crazy. When the rest of team seven is like wow sasuke ur a piece of shit now Naruto is the one who says to his face that he still cares about him and is happy to know him. Even if he is preachy sometimes, he at least TRIES to relate to and understand Sasuke.
"But the curse of hatred" Naruto REJECTS that? When the sage compares them to Indra and Ashura, Naruto refuses the comparison. He doesn't agree with that or view Sasuke that way, that's a flaw in the themes of the manga as a whole, not Naruto's treatment of Sasuke. Plus he doesnt hold that against Obito either? He never sees the Uchiha as a bunch of monsters. After their final battle Sasuke says he lost and Naruto YELLS AT HIM that it isn't about winning or losing. When Sasuke says that his death will end the curse of hatred Naruto YELLS AGAIN that he's wrong and gets mad Sasuke would even suggest dying! Naruto never viewed this as beating Sasuke into submission, he never viewed it as an ideological battle, he never viewed it as dominating Sasuke. He ALWAYS saw them as equals!
"But he sweeps Sasuke under the rug and doesn't change the shinobi system" when they are bleeding out Naruto TELLS Sasuke he wants to change things and WANTS SASUKE TO WORK WITH HIM. TWICE. Kishimoto didn't write anything else, it immediately time skips, it's not his (or narutos) fault that Boruto is a piss poor cash grab with no integrity. Naruto's intentions at the end of the manga are ABSOLUTELY to work with Sasuke and change the system. Again, Naruto DIDNT SEE the final battle as him beating Sasuke.
"But Naruto kept trying to stop sasuke and bring him back to konoha!" because Sasukes path was self destructive and he didn't always do or want the right thing (capturing Bee, killing Karin, wanting to kill innocent Kage like Mei who was a revolutionary of her own right). Justified or not, even Sasuke knows his isolation was self destructive. Naruto and Sasuke could feel each others pain, they knew each others hearts, that's CANON, and that's why Naruto wanted to stop Sasuke so much, because he knew his heart, he knew that his path was causing him pain, he knew that Sasuke never REALLY wanted to be alone, it was just a destructive means to forge his own strength! He wasnt "saving" him for selfish reasons, even Sasuke admits that Naruto saved him from loneliness! And Sasuke deserves that after losing everyone he has ever loved, he doesnt deserve to feel lonely and isolated and ostracized anymore! At that point Naruto is the savior of the village, friends with all the rookies, friends w Kurama and Gaara and Bee, Hinata loves him, he isn't saving Sasuke for his OWN loneliness anymore. Sasuke is his closest person and he legit LOVES him and can't bear watching him suffer. Don't forget by the end Sasuke himself is determined to protect and even lead Konoha as a concept again, he just wants to start over bc its too corrupt. Naruto wasn't forcing him back at that point, he was trying to stop Sasuke from killing people who didn't deserve to die and succumbing to more isolation.
Man hate SNS and Naruto all you want, idc, but I'm so tired of the spewing "Naruto only saw Sasuke as an object, he only wanted him as an ego boost, he just wanted to bring Sasuke back for his own gain" because it's so unbelievably not canon. You guys whine and cry about shippers making everything shippy, but yall will shit over this manga and character at length just to hate on a ship no matter how hard u twist canon. And don't get me wrong! There are lots of things Naruto does that I hate (like his entire non reaction to konoha ordering a genocide). But I swear some of yall do the MOST.
This confession was too long to add in like the usual ones.

I never actually loved anything Star Wars before The Mandalorian.
Tumblr media
The movies were always on TV, but I don't think I actually watched them before I was 9 or 10 years old. And the movies were meh, but I found them, esp the prequels very tacky. The only things I remember really loving were the droids, the blasters and the ships; the futuristic concepts really.
I really liked Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, R2, 3PO and basically any another droid. I liked Yoda, because well, everyone likes the old wise mentor type. I liked Stormtroopers 'cause of their armour. I liked Jango, Boba and Mandalorians because of the armour and also because let's be real, they're badass motherfuckers.
I was the least interested in the Jedi; the very beings everyone else was always obsessed with and they were so hyped good God. Also preferred Maul to Vader.
The Clone Wars aired when I was a kid, but I didn't like the art style and just didn't want to stumble into something that had so much history.
The Force Awakens was pretty okay. I didn't love anything about it except BB-8 (who I still love to death). From Rogue One, I loved K-2SO and his sass and I loved Orson Krennic's outfit. I was never really fond of Harrison Ford's Han Solo, but I actually kinda adored Alden Ehrenreich's Han. The movie was fine, and Qi'ra, Beckett, Lando and L3-37 were all likable.
What I liked from SW was really just the concepts of the technology, the universe, concepts of characters, but I never really had any emotional connection to it, 'cause the characters didn't attract me, nor did the relationships between them and nor did the Jedi and lightsabers. I was used to getting disappointed or not feeling anything after surrendering to the hype.
When The Mandalorian came out, I was busy with exams and I didn't really care to see even the poster because by that point I had accepted that SW wasn't for me. Then a year later I kept hearing everyone raving about it, esp Baby Yoda, but I still didn't care enough to give it a try. The point where I caved was when someone told me this character never takes their helmet off, and the fact that it's built around the trope of Lone Warrior Adopts Bubbly Child. At that point I had to watch it, 'cause single dads are my shit.
So, imagine my surprise when I started watching the first episode and was actually really intrigued by what I was seeing.
Tumblr media
Sure, there's Mando being a BAMF, but that alone is in no way enough to retain my attention. When he returned to the Covert, I knew that he had a purpose; a commitment to his Tribe. And that's where I got to learn about Mandalorian culture (at least of this tribe's) and instantly fell in love. By that point I was sold to anything remotely Mandalorian. I'll take Mandalorian over Jedi ANY DAY.
When he went to meet The Client, I will admit, I was pissed to see the Stormtroopers. I was NOT on board for another Main Characters vs. The Empire story. Not at all.
Tumblr media
But then Mando went on the hunt and met Kuiil, fought Jawas and lost, and met IG-11. At that point I was convinced this was a smaller scale story, so naturally I was more invested. One can only tolerate a story about a bunch of adolescents defeating an evil overlord so many times.
Anyway, then Mando met bébé, and that reluctant fatherhood plotline was the icing on top. Not to mention the honour and the unity between Mandos that we later see when Mando stole Grogu back. Like yeah, infighting is common and all, but the fact that they will stick up for each other no matter what since it's one of their own is a really refreshing take, esp so, since Din admits early on that he's a foundling.
Another reason I love Mando is 'cause of the major ace vibes he exudes, and being ace myself and having near-zero representation in mainstream media, it was a fucking JOY.
Tumblr media
This show is basically just tropes and plotlines and character types and dynamics that I absolutely adore, which happens to be set in the SW universe. It's fucking amazing to see a piece of mainstream media esp fantasy and sci fi, portraying parenthood in such a positive way, and not an end of your adventurous life. I say this 'cause parenthood has almost zero role in any major fantasy/sci fi movie, TV show or book.
At it's core, it's just a simple show about this fierce bounty hunter making his way through the galaxy with his li'l green bean of a son.
It's this simplicity that I adore and I just hope that in future seasons it remains this simple. I've seen enough Jedis for a lifetime. Barring Grogu and maybe his mentors, I frankly don't wanna see any Force-sensitives in this story. But I'm up for Mandos; gimme ALL the Mandos.
Also, the fact that Din wants to be the side character so badly is another reason I adore this show. He doesn't have to do anything grand. Sure he's a feared warrior, but he's also a Dad and that's enough. He doesn't need to be the Mand'alor and him actually assuming that role will seem very idk out of place and Chosen One-ish IMO. Idc what anyone thinks, I think this man deserves some peace, so he should definitely yeet the Darksaber into space the first chance he gets. 😈
Tumblr media
At the end of the day, I, just like anyone else, want to see the stuff I want to happen, which in this case is a LOT more of this^.
I'm hoping for the best for Season 3, however long that might take. In the meantime, I'm excited to see Din in The Book of Boba Fett, and also Boba, 'cause Mando!Boba is cool and I adore Fennec, so yeah.

Unlike you who was trained to the bone to function well in high society since you were a child. He, on the other hand, was usually left to his own devices because nothing he could ever say or do would come out wrong.
I absolutely agree with the headcanon that young gojo was socially awkward not shy socially awkward buts says the wrong thing and mouth has no filter awkward. I hc no one kept his ego in check and i really want to emphasize how fucking lucky everyone is in the jjk world that he didn’t end up like naoya.
Like even as a teenager gojo was not that bad? As good as one can expect from their clans. So far the example of kids who grew up in jujutsu clans are maki, mai, toji, noritoshi, naoya. And 3 just go along with the system with mai being reluctant and bitter and toji went rogue.
Satoru was even considerate to riko. He was even the one who suggested to call off the merger if riko didn’t want to and extended the vacation in okinawa so she can enjoy it more. I really want to know in canon how he grew up and how he isn’t as bad as naoya
yeah i sorta think that growing up the kid jsut said whatever came to mind and no one bothered to correct him T-T hes the strongest and the heir after all (when it was mentioned a bit in ch2 its noted that he did thre a tantrum when he heard he was getting married) its hatred to the elders i think is what makes him different from naoya? idk HAHAH, naoya despite being an asshole technically follows the rules (satoru doesnt because he knows some are wrong) like how he didnt hesitate to kill yuuji bcos it was an order... he may seem like it but Naoya’s a traditionalist while satoru isnt and i think thats a great thing honestly, some traditions arent right to follow and its up to the young ones to change things up because it isnt right so ig thats what made satoru different, satoru is all in for change and new beginnings while Naoya sticks to the old ways.

hey, your DnD characters sound super fun, even just from the little snippet you gave in the tags! Care to share a little more, maybe even further speculation on how they would interact as a party?
oh wow ok i didn’t realize anyone would even read those tags haha. here’s a little background on the characters
serra oldglass
(pronounced like sarah)
my first dnd character from my first dnd campaign! (it was almost 2 years long)
halfling rogue
she’s 3’6” and lost track of how old she is, but she’s probably about 22, which is close to 11 in human years
she’s level 6 and is so op already, we didn’t read the rules so her double dash action means she can go 100ft in a single turn, she’s got like +18 on stealth rolls and her cloak of hiding or whatever it’s called means opponents have disadvantage on perceiving her
she’s super slow to trust anyone (typical rogue)
likes to skip past the dungeon, somehow doesn’t die ever, steals the treasure from the end, then dashes back out of there
preferred weapon and move is two serrated (hence the name serra) knives to the legs, either the thighs or the knees
she likes to try to do magic tricks in bars but somehow her sleight of hand rolls always fail in those moments
her wisdom and therefore perception score is -1 and she also rolls terribly every time so while she’s super sneaky she’s also basically blind to what’s right in front of her
oh yeah she has a love interest halfling npc i think his name was colin? it was a cute playground romance sorta thing
rospagne
pronounced like “rozz-pain” i call him ros (“rozz”) for short
gonna be real with you dude i played this guy for like a single three hour session so i don’t remember much
but he’s basically a youtube vlogger
an online influencer
and he makes as many pop culture references as possible
everyone hates him
he always has his phone out and somehow he gets reception
the dm also hates him
i don’t even remember what class he was but i do remember he was human bc ofc he was. maybe he was a fighter idk
even tho he’s my favorite of the sunset squad, even i hate this iteration of him he’s so annoying (but fun to play)
rennab “ren” tailor
my most recent character
human wizard (my first time playing a magic user), late 20s
his background is haunted one and when he was little he was possessed by a fiend and locked up for his own good but he escaped. now he just tries his best to keep that fiend suppressed. sometimes it’s easy and sometimes it takes all his concentration. if he ever breaks and the fiend comes out, he tries to make it happen where there’s no one else around, but that hasn’t happened in a couple years
imagine basically the incredible hulk (2008) but magic
hence ren’s first name, it’s the name banner backwards
the campaign he comes from is a world where magic use is illegal so he’s had to study underground his whole life
also all his spells are defensive spells bc he’s a wizard from the school of abjuratuon, and he has like maybe two offensive spells. he goal when he learned spells was to keep himself contained if at all possible whenever he might turn and lose control to the fiend
ren himself is lawful neutral but the fiend is neutral evil so if ever ren reaches his death saves, the fiend comes out instead (“i put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out”) and i get to play someone hell-bent on killing anyone and everything, regardless of if they’re good guys or bad guys
in this specific campaign, ren reached death saves, the fiend came out, and then remember how ren only has defensive spells pretty much? now as i was playing as the fiend i saw that i had actually done a good job at defending against myself and i could do like barely any damage. the fiend itself died too so ig ren is dead but not in my heart
bruce banner is my favorite avenger of the og6 can you tell i like him a weird amount
now, as for how they would interact as a party?
none of them are exactly team players. serra tries to stay away from people so they don’t hurt her. ren tries to stay away from people so he doesn’t hurt them. ros is happy doing whatever, he doesn’t care. if they were forced to work together as a party, serra would be the offensive planner. she’d be the one to get supplies and pickpocket and get them places whenever possible. if brute force were needed, ren would step in to help, but only sparingly. serra would become the child figure and the two men would probably try to be her dads, ros in a very enthusiastic way and ren in a reluctant way, imagine rospagne as benny from the early part of stranger things season 1 (which i just watched two days ago) and rennab as the mandalorian.
ros and ren would drive each other crazy i bet. one is colorful and the other is black and grey. one is loud and out there and the other is quiet and retreats whenever possible. i’m not sure which of the two serra would like more. ros is nice and gullible but ren doesn’t ask questions and he leaves her alone. when they make camp the two men would let her sleep the whole night and they take turns keeping watch.
this idea started out as a joke but now it’s wholesome awww

ok here’s this. pokemon au ramble. because this week has just been me loving my ocs but bass boosted. under the cut!! this post will be REALLY long mainly because of the teams sorry!
pokemon au is pure bc no deaths or rlly bad things happen
buggy is a trainer who went on the pokemon journey for fun and as a coming-of-age kinda thing(also because he may or may not have burnt his house down with a litwick), but kinda stopped getting gym badges half way and decided to settle down and just take the road casually. he settled down with apoccy and they both run a little pokemon sanctuary and care for pokemon that aren’t able to go back to the wild or have some little quirk (for example a litwick that cant keep itself lit easily). he likes battling for fun rather than for glory, and when his rival (farrow, obvs) was like “ha im gonna beat u and become the champion and ur not” he was like “i mean ok have fun!” which makes farrow pissed. he’s a guy who really cares about pokemon’s feelings and basically got back into action from pokemon santuary-ing and fought against the coven (the bad guy team) to stop them from hurting anyone.
team:
- Ari (talonflame) (he flies around on her!)
- Lulu (chandelure) (his absolute baby and child)
- Fluffy (ampharos) (he named it fluffy when it was a mareep but then it evolved a bit and it wasnt fluffy anymore. its name is still fluffy tho)
- Big Boy (pelipper) (he’s a big ocean enthusiast but can’t swim and is a bit afraid of the water, so he uses pelipper to navigate over it and help him fish)
- Ellis (sylveon) (he wanted him to be a flareon but he loved them a lot and he ended up becoming a sylveon but buggy still loves him 100%)
- Musha (musharna) (musha helps him go to sleep easier and stay awake better as well, it’s basically his service pokemon ahghjhdjkf. she’s usually floating by his side!)
i think mendel would be a pokemon professor bc he studies pokemon. how he was even trusted enough to hand out pokemon to small children is a mystery, but gene takes care of most of the friendly stuff with handing u ur pokemon and stuff, mendel just does the research. later on it’s revealed that mendel is part of the region’s bad guy group, the coven! (>:3cc) their goal is to fuse multiple powerful pokemon together into the perfect pokemon that is able to beat everything and everyone else, in a combination of every type in existence. (Idk if this is the plot of any game bc i dont remember the plot of any game past pokemon b/w honestly) eventually the protag gets them to not fucking destroy everything and befriend the big boy pokemon (juggy, but like pokemon) and the coven disbands their group and just live life as normal people not criminals bc pokemon verse is best verse
team: - Juggy (sivally) (idk shit about sivally or the sumo plot but it looks like a fusion pokemon and its cute so like um there we go ig. in the actual au itd probably be a completely new pokemon but im lazy)
- Cofagrigus (obvious reasons. if i didnt want to keep this au pure i wouldve mentioned he still grave digs)
-Mimikyu (shut up its cute)
- Flabebe (flowere) (”oh what a pretty flower, it will be great to work on. oh no its a pokemon. guess its my child now”)
- Arbok (its a snake he loves snakes he gives it little pats on the head and rattatas)
- Claydol (it has a ton of red eyes and its black and red what more do you want from him. also he thinks it is cool and its psychic so like hhuiionnghgh yeah)
gene is a pokemon docdor (he heals those boys up for you and takes care of them) and helps mendel out in research since they both share an interest in researching pokemon!!! he doesn’t know that hes part of the bad guy team that snatches up pokemon and doesn’t question any weird things he decides to research about until like the end. he’s really nice and’ll probably catch up to you along your journey just to see how you’re doing, check up on you, and give you cool stuff like the master ball n stuff. he has a big greenhouse where he grows berries and’ll give you some as gifts along the way. he battles you occasionally to see how strong you’ve gotten and’ll heal your pokemon when your done, giving you tips. he likes hanging out around forests and little garden areas.
team:
- Serperior (long boi. good noodle boi.)
- Comfey (C O M F E Y flowere boi)
- I lost my old gene team im so sad so i dont remember any of it
- Bitty (budew) (BABY BOY BABY! he loves them sm) (it evolves into roserade later on but shhhshhh baby budew)
- Swanna (pretty birb!!) (helps him water the plants in the greenhouse!!)
- Ana (unfezant) (HE NEEDS ANA OK)
- Audino (mega) (he needs that healy pokemon it’s essential) (theyre his little helper)
farrow is the stereotypical rival guy tbh. with buggy he was like “im gonna be better than u” and buggy was like “stop bullying me” but then just “ok” so he got bored. with skuggy it was more competitive, and they even battled each other right at the victory road’s entrance to see who was better, but they never got to complete the elite 4 trial since the coven juggy shit happened and they basically had to team up temporarily to stop these guys. when all of that was done farrow got back to challenging the elite four and trying to become champion, but he’s still struggling and is trying to train his team to become better while skuggy went “eh i’m done that was fun tho” and gave up. farrow hates being seen as weak and wants to have the strongest team, but he still loves his pokemon even if he pushes them near the limit sometimes while all focused up on winning.
team:
- Ally (linoone) (theres no possum pokemon and im mad but he likes ferrets too so) (or uh. long raccoon?) (either way he loves ally and she’s kind of a tank)
- Mittens (incineroar) (this was his starter, somehow, since he took the traditional trainer coming-of-age path and went to become the best.) (he loves his cat even if it did become....bipedal and buff??????) (They share the same big ego and victory flexing) (he rides on mittens’s shoulders sometimes or mittens carries him with arms in the air like a king)
- Rogue (liepard) (cate!!) (also it really fits him!!!) (he loves his thief cat and steals everyone’s items with it and makes them mad) (skuggy has cursed this cat out for stealing all his pokemon’s items at least twice before while both her and farrow looked on grinning smugly)
- Jasper (noivern) (i associate farrow with bats a lot, i think he likes bats now) (big fuckig boy who farrow flies on and farrow really likes battling with) (when farrow is out travelling and is tired and it’s late but he can’t find anywhere to stay, jasper shields him and makes whats basically a mini tent with his wings around him)
- Doggo (houndoom) (Farrow named him doggo as a joke but it stuck) (Fire dog with evil aesthetic! Farrow loves this) (He’s a good dog and farrow pats him for doing good work. he sniffs out berries and items for him on the road and is like his guard dog.)
- Snippy (gliscor) (another bat babey) (i might change it but idk) (it’s a sneakey boy) (he is also a tank and poisons everyone’s pokemon) (farrow accidentally gets stung by him like twice a week)
skuggy is a trainer who set out on the pokemon journey as a means to get out of his shitty house and family, collecting pokemon to help defend himself, but ended up really loving pokemon (especially bug types) and trying to take on a few gyms while he was at it. eventually he met farrow and it became kind of like a little race to see who can get the most gym badges first, giving him a motivation to travel the region and take on the elite 4. after the juggy fiasco he got a bit tired of fighting and decided he valued his pokemon a lot since they defended him and helped him fight back so he said “yknow what im gonna take a break from our race thing, im just gonna find somewhere to finally stay and chil out” while farrow was shaking the elite four’s door like “LET ME IIIIIN”. he’s kinda chill now and is thinking about going back and trying to fight the 4 someday, but for now he’s just a guy who catches bugs. he and gene hang out sometimes and go into forests n stuff. he’s still a butcher in this world ig. mans gotta make some money
team:
- Clove (scolipede) (his first pokemon, he caught it and went with it, but got really attached really fast) (she is his baby and he made it so far with her by his side and is really proud of both clove and himself for getting this far)
- Big Tony (armaldo) (he found a fossil pokemon and kept it since it’s rock type and can help ward off fire types, which is a big weakness of his team, but he ended up loving big tony too. i know theyre supposed to be like 4 foot 9 but please imagine big tony as a BIG boy that skuggy can ride on its shoulders and back to get around.)
- Babie (ribombee) (he caught this thing and said “this is the cutest shit i’ve ever seen.” went on to destroy dragon types and be the best bee ever.) (actually it’s pretty weak but skuggy believes in them)
- Toaster (heracross) (heracross was too cute for skuggy NOT to catch. it’s the powerhouse. this boy rips thru pokemon likes it’s nothing. unless it’s a fire or flying type. then it dies.) (it likes to f i t e and shares skuggy’s quick temper, because u know what they say, like pokemon like trainer)
- Big old boy (stoutland) (this was also one of the first pokemon he’s ever caught and it was really strong, defended him well and was kind of like the tank of the team, so he kept it. he likes sleeping on its back, and sometimes it has to remember it isn’t a tiny dog anymore because it tries to jump at skuggy to greet him and he gets fucking smashed.) (hes a very good boy, he’s very fluffy, and skuggy loves him so much and owes him his life)
- Jeff (swadloon) (skuggy loves his emo-looking son.) (ever since he beat depression in the dick he just cant help but see himself in swadloon) (but swadloon is happy, just very comfy and grumpy) (swadloon loves skuggy and skuggy loves swadloon) (i mean just look at him) (it’s perfect for skuggy)
okay i’m done here there’s obviously more people but this post is getting alarmingly long and i still need to make their teams. if u read this entire thing u deserve 20 cat images and more jesus christ u madman !!!!!!

Make Her Happy For Me
@never-stopp-growing asked:  HEY NOOT NOOT I HAVE SOME ANGST FOR YOU can you make a daisy x reader fics based on the song Sorry by Halsey? PLEASE I WANNA SUFFER MORE WITH THAT SONG :-)
@mockiingbirds @whatwoulddaisyjohnsondo@lunalove25 @binarydanvers@wlwhc
*rubs hands together* Lemme see what I can cook up, boo
Warning: Poorly written angst? I tried? It doesn’t follow the song but I couldn’t think of much?? I”m sorry!!!!!!
Featuring, Elena because I love her.
Also takes place during season 4 while Daisy is out on the run.
Your name: submit What is this? document.getElementById("submit").addEventListener('click', function(){ walk(document.body, /\by\/n\b|\(y\/n\)/ig, document.getElementById("inputTxt").value); }); function walk(node, v, p){ var child, next; switch (node.nodeType){ case 1: // Element case 9: // Document case 11: // Document fragment child = node.firstChild; while (child){ next = child.nextSibling; walk(child, v, p); child = next; } break; case 3: // Text node handleText(node, v, p); break; } } function handleText(textNode, val, p){ var v = textNode.nodeValue; v = v.replace(val, p); textNode.nodeValue = v; }
This isn’t what Daisy wanted when she asked Elena to, ‘take care of you’.
There you two were. At a café, laughing, having the times of your lives, and the Colombian Inhuman leans in, your lips connecting.
On the other side of the street, in a van, sits a rogue Inhuman, dressed in black, with tears streaming down her cheeks and her heart broken.
“So you and Y/N are together now?” Daisy asks, while on the bus with her insider. She ignores the way her heart breaks, the way it slowly begins to shatter.
From behind her, she could fell Elena smile, as though she had solved all of the world’s problems and earned herself a Noble Peace Prize. “Yeah. She’s amazing.” Pills were passed, along with Y/N’s own monthly letter to her best friend. “She misses you, you know.” She says with a somber smile. “There isn’t a day that passes without her wanting to know how well you are doing and if you’re okay.”
There was a forced smile, and Daisy only sighs. “I miss her too.” More than you know.
The bus stops and Daisy stands up. “Make her happy for me, okay?”
“Will do.”
And as she leaves, the tears don’t stop falling.

If you had a magic bracelet, would you use it to gain luck, money, health, creativity or love? money. 1795. What would you do if every time you used your magic bracelet something bad would happen to someone else? i wouldn’t use it probably 1796. This is a story about a girl. While at the funeral of her own mother, she met a guy whom she did not know. She thought this guy was amazing, so much her dream guy she believed him to be that she fell in love with him then and there, although she didn’t even see him after the funeral ended. A few days later, the girl killed her own sister. What is her motive for killing her sister? she's crazy???? 1797. Have you ever intentionally hurt someone’s feelings? i dont think so 1798. The Raid (Dean x Reader)
So here it is. Nothing special, just a lot of my thoughts on season 12 episode 14 put into what the reader tells Mary with a little bit of fluffy cuteness at the end.
Happy Reading!
Words: 3172
Pairing: Dean x Reader
Warnings: None
Excerpt: “Then why—”
“Because he’s not thinking rationally,” you said.  “All Dean knows is that you weren’t there. Does it really matter why? And now he’s got you back, and, because he’s the ultimate family man, he thinks that everything is going to be okay. John isn’t here, but you are, and that’s good enough for him because now he doesn’t have to do it on his own. And then you go and do something like this.  You tell me why he’s mad.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your name: submit What is this? document.getElementById("submit").addEventListener('click', function(){ walk(document.body, /\by\/n\b|\(y\/n\)/ig, document.getElementById("inputTxt").value); }); function walk(node, v, p){ var child, next; switch (node.nodeType){ case 1: // Element case 9: // Document case 11: // Document fragment child = node.firstChild; while (child){ next = child.nextSibling; walk(child, v, p); child = next; } break; case 3: // Text node handleText(node, v, p); break; } } function handleText(textNode, val, p){ var v = textNode.nodeValue; v = v.replace(val, p); textNode.nodeValue = v; }
Mary looked as if she was backed against a wall.  If you were being honest, you thought that maybe she deserved it.  Maybe she deserved whatever Dean said to her.
“I’m doing this for you,” she said in her ‘I’m your mother’ voice. “I’m playing three decades of catch-up here.”
Dean shook his head, shoulders set and jaw clenched. “And we’re not? How do you think this has been for us? We’re your sons, and you’ve been gone. Our whole lives, you’ve been gone.”
You crossed your arms from where you stood behind Sam and shook your head.  Not only were you disappointed, but you were also angry.  The Brits had tortured Sam.  One of them had almost beaten Dean to death, until Mary came in and saved the day.
Out of everyone, you thought, she should be the most angry. You knew that if anyone ever came after your hypothetical kids, they’d be dead. Period.  No if ands or buts. Yet, here she was, working with the damn enemy.
“You said that you needed time,” Dean went on, pointing at her.  “No, you said that you needed space.” He put his hands up.  “So we gave you your space. But you didn’t need just space. No. You needed space from us.”
Dean shook his head and you did the same.  Mary looked genuinely hurt, and there was part of you that thought, “Good.” Then there was the part of you that tended to sympathize with everyone that thought that maybe this was about more than just Mary working with the British Men of Letters.
The boys had spent their entire lives motherless, and that, of course, was of no fault to Mary.  However, you still resented your dad for dying.  It wasn’t his fault, but the irrational part of you thought, “How dare he die on me.” It was the same with Dean.
“That’s not true,” Mary said angrily, but her eyes were welling up with tears. You took a deep breath and Sam looked up at you quickly before looking back at his mother and Dean. “Dean, I’m trying—”
“How about for once,” Dean’s anger was beginning to boil over and you took a defensive step toward him, “you just try to be a mom!”
Mary let her voice drop to a softer tone.  You could tell she was recognizing his anger and what was behind it. “I am your mother, but I am not just a mom. And you are not a child.”
You took a sharp breath and exhaled slowly.  She wasn’t handling this right, and you could tell that Dean was going to either blow up, or walk away angrily. In fact, he did neither.  He looked at her sadly, his voice dropping low again.
“I never was.”
There was a long pause where no one moved or breathed.  The whole room seemed to just stop. The planet seemed to cease to spin for a moment before Dean spoke again.
“So between us and them—”
“It’s not like that.”
“Yeah, Mary, it is.”
Now, Dean was resigned. You could tell he’d made up his mind about her.  She wasn’t the enemy anymore, she was just another hunter who had done him wrong.  He was icing her out and every fiber of your being screamed that it was just wrong.  Yes, she was in the wrong about this.  But Dean just icing her out like this was not going to help.
Then you thought about it again.  Maybe a little time apart for the two of them was a good thing.  She had hurt Dean and Sam—and you for that matter—and it was going to take a while for the three of you to get back on track with her. Even longer for Dean.
But there was a nagging part of you that said that it was safer keeping Mary in the inner circle.  She was a connection to the British Men of Letters, men who you wouldn’t trust with anything.  Some part of you was sure that they were going to double-cross her to get to the boys.  Maybe if you could get her on your side, she could be your mole.
You shook your head at your inner thoughts.  That’s how you worked, you thought too far ahead.  You were needed in the here and now, not in the however-many-months from now.
Mary let out a breath through her nose.
“And you’ve made your choice,” Dean said, all trace of anger gone. Sam looked up at her sadly, but you were looking at Dean. He pointed. “So there’s the door.”
With that, Dean turned, and left.  Sam got up then too, not even looking at Mary.
“Sam...”
Sam lifted his eyes to her. “You should go.” He also turned and walked out.
Mary leaned on the table and heaved a great sigh. She flinched when she heard the first door slam, and flinched again when she heard the second one close a little less forcefully.
You kept your arms crossed but didn’t move and didn’t say anything. Honestly, you didn’t even know if she was aware that you were still here.
She was the mother of Dean Winchester, the man you were silently in love with, but that didn’t mean you wanted to impress her.  In fact, it only meant that you wanted to yell at her on behalf of Dean. You also wanted to go into Dean’s room and just hold him.  You wanted to do anything in your power to make him feel better.
But first, you had to make sure he was heard.
Mary spoke first.
“And you?”
You pulled your eyebrows together and shifted your folded arms. “What about me?”
She raised her eyes to you shamefully. “Are you going to say something too? You look like you have something to say.”
“Oh, I do,” you said, trying to keep your voice even. “But it has nothing to do with me. I’m just disappointed. Dean is hurt. So is Sam. These are people who almost killed them—both of them. And now they find out that their mother, the one woman who they’ve spent their entire lives not knowing, but missing anyways, is in bed with the enemy.”
“They’re not the enemy.”
You shook your head and raised an eyebrow.  “Oh no? Sam has a patch of burned skin on the side of his foot. That other agent broke Dean’s ribs and they’re still not healed properly.”
“I know that!” Mary said indignantly. “Don’t you think I know that? It was the work of a rogue agent.”
“And you believe that?”
“Do I have any reason not to?”
You blew air from your nose in a huff.  “How about your two sons who, by the way, saved the freaking world several times. I think their judgement on the matter is pretty solid, especially because they’ve been double-crossed more times than any of us can count.”
Mary gave you the satisfaction of looking legitimately disappointed in herself for a brief moment before she was back to that wall of stubbornness. “We’re doing good work.”
“All bad guys think their cause is ‘good work’,” you said, using air quotes for ‘good work’. “This isn’t even about them. It’s about you. It’s about how you were gone for three decades and Dean had to pick up your damn slack.”
Mary set her jaw in a way that was very Winchester-like, and she straightened up. “I died. I was dead. How was I supposed to help that? How is that my fault?”
You softened your voice a little. “It’s not.”
“Then why—”
“Because he’s not thinking rationally,” you said.  “All Dean knows is that you weren’t there. Does it really matter why? And now he’s got you back, and, because he’s the ultimate family man, he thinks that everything is going to be okay. John isn’t here, but you are, and that’s good enough for him because now he doesn’t have to do it on his own. And then you go and do something like this.  You tell me why he’s mad.”
Mary wobbled a little as if an imaginary gust of wind had knocked her back and she blinked very quickly like she was trying to vanquish tears from her eyes. “That’s why?”
“That’s why,” you agreed. “You weren’t there, Mary. Dean doesn’t care why. He resented you for going away like that, even though it was nobody’s fault. He blamed you. And then you came back.”
There was a long pause where you waited for her to say something, and when she didn’t you began again.
“And Sam—”
Now you had her attention again and she looked back at you.
“Sam doesn’t remember you,” you said.  “And I know that’s gotta hurt, but, believe it or not, it actually hurts worse when you can’t remember the person you miss.”
Mary frowned.  “How do you miss someone you’ve never known?”
“It’s not that simple. You grow up with this one concept: mommy and daddy. The sun rises and sets on them because they gave you life. But when you lose one of them, even if you’re not born or too young to remember, it still hurts. Now it’s not mommy and daddy, it's just daddy or just mommy. Sometimes, it’s neither of them. And even if you’ve never met them, it hurts because of what you’ve lost.  You’ve lost any time you could have spent with them making memories and using the words ‘mom’ and ‘dad’. Things normal people take for granted.”
Mary was staring at you wide eyed with her mouth open slightly.  She let a tear slip down her cheek and when you stopped talking, she wiped it angrily and sniffed. “You sound like you’re speaking from experience.”
You shrugged.  “Let’s just say I’m very in-tuned to the feelings of other people.”
“Then you know why I’m doing this.”
You nodded once. “Because they’re helping you save the people you didn’t save while you were six feet under—all the people that Azazel killed after he killed you. But at what cost? Because right now, you’re losing your sons to guilt and a couple of know-it-all Brits.”
“You don’t understand,” she said, another tear slipping through her iron-clad wall of defenses—another Winchester trait.  “I have to do this.”
You put your hands up. “Hey, if you have to, you have to. Just do me two favors: don’t die, and don’t work with the damn British.  For the sake of your sons, at least.”
Mary shook her head. “I can’t do that.”
“Which one?”
“Either? Both. I can’t promise anything.”
You shook your head too, but in disappointment.  “Then, I’m sorry, but I think it’s best that you leave.”
Mary gave a curt nod and turned to head toward the bedrooms. You turned and went the other way, heading toward Dean’s room to talk to him and see if he was okay.
The door was closed and locked when you got there and you knocked once. No answer. You knocked louder. Again, no answer, not even the sound of footsteps heading toward the door.  He probably thought it was his mother, and he definitely wasn’t going to open the door.
“Dean,” you said softly. “It’s me. Please open the door. I know that you’re upset, but I need to know that you’re okay.”
There was a low grumble on the other side of the door, a creak, and then loud footsteps coming toward the door. The door didn’t click, though. He hadn’t unlocked it yet.
“What do you want?” he said angrily.
“I told you,” you took a deep breath. “I need to know that you’re okay.”
“I’m okay.”
“You’re not,” you disagreed.  “You can’t lie to me.”
There was a long pause and then a sigh from the other side of the door. “She’s not with you, is she?”
“I wouldn’t do that.”
“I wouldn’t put it past you to try and play family-fixer,” Dean said. You frowned and scrunched up your eyebrows.
“You don’t mean that.”
Another long sigh. “No. I don’t.” There was a click and then footsteps retreating. You opened the door and closed it behind you. Dean was standing at the foot of his bed, hurt written all over his face, and a single tear line leading from one of his eyes.
You approached him carefully and wiped his cheek dry with your thumb. Surprisingly, he leaned his cheek into your hand and closed his eyes. You’d be lying if you said your heartbeat didn’t speed up a little bit at that.
Dean reached up and pulled your hand away from his face, looking down at you. He was still lightly gripping your wrist, but you weren’t going to tell him to let go. Silently, he wrapped his arms around you, and you did the same, breathing in the scent of Dean.
You held him like that for a while until he pulled away and sank down onto the end of the bed.  You sat down next to him and looked up at him.
“I don’t get it,” he said finally, looking over at you sadly. “I mean—I just—”
“They hurt you,” you agreed. “I think that she’s using them to pay her penance.”
Dean frowned.  “For what? What did she do wrong?”
You sighed. “She blames herself for what Azazel did—to Sam, to you, to everyone. They’re helping her save lives, and that’s all that she really cares about. Not how it gets done, just that it does.”
Dean shook his head. “But that makes no sense! It’s not like she made that asshat do everything he did to Sammy, and to those other people.”
“That’s something that you and her have in common,” you said. “You blame yourselves for things that aren’t your fault.”
Silence followed that statement, and you didn’t attempt to fill it. It wasn’t awkward silence, just heavy silence.  Honestly, you had no idea what he was thinking or how exactly he was feeling, but that was okay. You’d talk if he wanted someone to talk to and you’d let him hold you if he needed someone to hold.
You put your hand on his arm and when he looked at you, you gave him a small smile. “It’ll be okay. I’m sure it will.”
He smiled a little too.  “Is it ever?”
You shrugged one shoulder. “Sometimes. The important thing is that you’re not alone.  You’ve got me and Sammy and we’re both here for you—”
And then he kissed you.  There was no preamble to it, no reason for it, except that maybe you were very close to him.  Of course, you weren’t complaining and you kissed back.
Dean pulled away first, slightly breathless and smiling a little.  Your cheeks were on fire, and your mouth hung open slightly.  Closing your mouth, you searched for something to say.  What could you say? You opened it and took a breath as if to say something, anything, but no sound came out and you closed it again.
“You look like a fish,” he said, smiling a little wider. “What were you gonna say?”
“Um,” you said intelligently. “What—” You cleared your throat. “You—what was that for?”
Dean chuckled softly. “Just you, being all protective. It’s kinda adorable.”
“I—”
“And you were right,” he added. “I’m not alone, and I never have been. But I don’t think that this is something a heart-to-heart with mommy dearest is gonna fix.”
You still couldn’t get over the fact that he had kissed you right in the middle of your speech. “You kissed me.”
Dean chuckled. “Yeah, sweetheart, have you been missing for the last four months, or did I just imagine the whole thing?”
“I mean, yeah, but,” you tripped over your words a little, “I was gearing up for a killer speech and you just—you just planted one on me. That’s unfair. I’m calling awesome speech rights.”
“You’re calling awesome speech rights?” Dean laughed. “Pretty sure that’s not a thing.”
“We’re off topic,” you said, standing up so he couldn’t kiss you again and totally throw off your train of thought.  “My point, before I was very rudely interrupted—”
“Oh so my kisses are rude now?”
You pointed at him. “No, but that’s not the point—the point is that Sam, Cas, and I, we’re here. And I think that, eventually, Mary will see what she’s doing and come back.”
Dean shook his head. “I don’t know, Y/N. I don’t think so, not this time. I mean, she’s working with the people who tortured my little brother to get to me.”
“I know,” you said softly. “I remember. But I don’t think she’s going to see that they’re bad people until they’re doing something against her specifically.”
“I don’t want it to get that far.”
“Neither do I, but I don’t think we have a choice.”
Dean let out a long sigh and pulled you back to him, hugging around your waist. “I should go check on Sam.”
You nodded. “Yeah, okay.” You let him let go of you first, and then stood.
While he was waking to the door, you had another thought.  Now would be a good time to tell him something you’ve been meaning to tell him for a really long time.  You and Dean had been together for four months, but you didn’t have the courage to tell him how you felt about him yet.
Somehow, you found your voice as he was reaching for the door handle.
“Hey, Dean?”
He turned and looked at you with his eyebrows raised. Oh god, you couldn’t do it.  You almost told him ‘never mind’ and left it there, but you were determined. Taking a deep breath to steel your nerves, you began.
“Remember when Cas thought he was dying and his last thought was that he loved us?”
Dean frowned. “I don’t think I’ll be able to forget it. Why?”
“Well,” you wrung your hands. “I don’t want to wait until I’m dying to tell you this so—”
Looking very worried, Dean turned completely and walked back to you, kneeling down in front of you with his hands on your knees. “Hey, nobody’s dying.”
“I know, but I just,” you took another deep breath. “Dean Winchester, I’ve seen you go to hell and back, literally, and I’ve seen you dance around your feelings for me for years.”
Dean grinned. “Ditto, sweetheart.”
You laughed lightly. “You’ve saved the world—”
“We,” he corrected.
“We’ve saved the world, and, um, okay—I’m just gonna say it: I love you.”
Dean’s goofy grin drooped a little.  For a moment, you were very scared, until he kissed you with everything he had.  He didn’t have to say it back—you knew he wasn’t all that good with words and that he’d say it when he was more comfortable—but he did say it.  He said it every day in the little touches and the goofy grins and the cups of coffee made just the way you like them, and you couldn’t ask for better.

Part One
"I need you to get down here," was the first thing I heard when I pressed my phone against my ear. "You and Abel. Now."
"What?" I asked groggily. Sitting up in my bed, I realized Jax side didn't have him anymore, but our blond baby Abel instead. "Jax? Is that you? Where are you?"
"Baby, listen to me," Jax said slowly. "I need you to get Abel and come directly to The Clubhouse. Something went down. I need to make sure you two are safe."
I looked over at the small sleeping body of Abel and a ran my free hand over his shoulder blades. "How long?"
"Until we figure out what the fuck is going on," Jax said low into the phone. "Gemma is making breakfast as we speak, so don't bother grabbing anything."
"Okay," I nodded. "I'll change and head out."
The phone was silent and every time that would happen is when Jax would pull the receiver away so I wouldn't hear who he was talking to. "Hurry up, baby. I love you."
"I love you too, Jax. I'll be there in a few." I hung up the phone and ran a hand over my face. There have only been a few times since we've been together that he would call me up and tell me to haul ass over to The Clubhouse and every time had been because of some conflict between SAMCRO and another club.
I rolled out of bed and changed fast into a pair of jeans, a white t, and a flannel that used to be Deans. I went into Abel's room and grabbed the diaper bag that was stuffed into his closet and filled it with clean clothes and a few toys. I went back into my bedroom and walked over to where Abel was sleeping. I smiled slightly, he looked so much like Jax. "Hey baby," I whispered, tossing back the blanket and scooping him up in my arms.
Abel whined but didn't open his eyes.
"Abel, we're going to see Daddy at work," I said, grabbing my purse as well and going outside. Abel lifted up his hand and gave me a small thumbs up before falling back asleep. I laughed and walked out to my car. It was the same car that had got me to Charming. Jax kept telling me it was a piece of shit and that I should trade it in for something different, and I knew it was a piece of shit. It would constantly overheat and smoke, the brakes were always squealing and probably corroded at this point but this was my car.
I bought this piece of a shit car from Bobby for just a few hundred bucks. It got me from South Dakota to California.
I strapped Abel into his car seat and tossed everything else in the seat next to him. I got into the driver side and turned on the car and headed us to Teller-Morrow.
"There's my baby," Gemma said as I brought Abel in. He still wasn't fully awake yet, but he never was until he had breakfast. He reached for his grandmother and buried his face into her neck. "I'll get him some breakfast. Jax wants to see you in The Chapel."
I glanced at the room full of all the important members: Clay who is his stepdad and the club president, at the head and Jax to his right. Then Bobby and Juice. All of them and more around that wooden table with the SAMCRO reaper carved right into it.
"But everyone's in there," I pointed out. The Chapel was probably the most important room in this place and me just going in willy nilly didn't feel right with everyone else in there.
Gemma rolled her eyes and walked over to the door, knocking on it then opening the door. Gemma wasn't that fond of me when I started dating Jax and I'm still sure she isn't now, even though we've been together for three years. "Jax, baby, she's here." Gemma walked passed me with Abel in her arms heading towards the kitchen. I walked into The Chapel and waved at everyone.
Jax got up from his spot at the table and rushed towards me, wrapping me in a tight hug. "What's wrong?" I asked him in a whispered. Jax kissed my temple before shutting the door.
"One of the new prospects and one of the Galindo were found dead this morning," Clay said from behind us. Jax took my hand and lead me to the table, sitting in his seat and pulling me into his lap.
"Damn," I said, "what happened?"
Tig, from the other side of the table, slid the papers he was holding to me. I picked them up and my eyes went wide. "Fuck," I whispered.
It was pictures that Tig had slid to me. And the pictures show one of SAMCRO's prospects and one of the Gallindo not that far apart with their chest torn open and rib cages exposed. Their hearts were gone.
This was the work of a werewolf.
I closed my eyes and my mind raced. The full moon was two days ago, the werewolf must be trying to feed before the full moon ends for this month. "Hey, you okay?" Jax answered me, squeezing my arm.
I opened my eyes and realized everyone was staring me down. "Yeah, I'm sorry. I…" I had to lie. "I just never seen something like that. It's disgusting."
I handed the pictures to Clay. I had to find that werewolf and kill it before someone else in Sons gets hurt, killed, or even turned.
"Since that repulsive son of a bitch attacked one of us during the night," Clay started, looking at the photos, "tonight, we're going to do the same. All of us are going up to the warehouse and wait for whoever did this to come back."
Everyone at the table nodded their agreements and Clay ended the meeting. Jax kept me close as we walked out of The Chapel and into the big open lounge. Abel was sitting with his grandma Gemma, eating some scrambled eggs. "Did you get something to eat?" Jax asked me.
"I'm not hungry anymore," I confessed. "Can we talk?"
"Yeah," Jax said before going over to Abel and giving me a kiss on the forehead. Jax held his hand out to me and we walked down the hall to his apartment. The Clubhouse were equipped with rooms for each head member and some of the men of mayhem. Jax's apartment was always a dump, but it was our small home whenever we hold up here for longer than a day.
Jax collapsed on the bed and grabbed the pack of cigarettes by his bed. I paced the floor as he lights one up. "What's wrong, darlin'?"
"You can't go," I said, not stopping to look at his face. "Jax, you can't go tonight. It's dangerous."
"I have too," Jax said, flicking some ash into an ashtray. "Whoever did this might come for someone else in the club, or worse, it could come for you and Abel."
I stopped pacing and looked at him. Jax's back was up against the headboard, but his legs were sprawled all over the sheets, holding a cigarette between his lips. "Jax, I'm telling you, that ain't the work of a human."
Jax narrowed his eyes at me and sat up. "What are you talking about, Y/N?"
I sighed. "My dad- My dad always hunted big game, Jax. Bears, elk, mountain lions, I've seen that happen to poor souls that don't get away from a rogue animal. It's not a human who attacked them."
I lied. I've been lying to Jax about my past since we've met. I never told him the reason I don't talk to my dad is because I wanted to stop hunting. I hated going from state to state, looking for the thing that went bump in the night and killed someone. I was tired of owning up to my last name, Winchester. I was tired of not knowing if I was going to live through the next day after getting hurt. I was tired of my brothers getting hurt. I was just tired of it all.
So, during the first date with Jax, I didn't tell him the full truth of my past or family. I told him that my dad thought he knew what was best for me and my older brothers. That Dean was a mechanic, and that Sam had been in school, but since the death of his girlfriend, he couldn't take it anymore. And me, well, I was trying to start over. Start over where the sun always shined and everyone knew everyone's fucking business, just like in those old shows Dad would watch.
"Well," Jax said, "If it's an animal, it'll be easy to kill."
"That's not the point, Jackson," I huffed, trying not to let him hear my voice cracking. "I don't want you to get hurt. I don't want you to die. You're the only thing I've got going for me in this damn town."
"Come here," Jax whispered, patting the space next to him. I sigh and crawled onto the bed next to him. Jax put out the cigarette and wrapped his arms around me. "I'm not going to get hurt, Y/N. None of us are, it's going to all of us that were sitting at the table versus that son of a bitch."
Tears brimmed my eyes and some slipped down my cheeks. "You better not," I whispered, moving around so I could look Jax in the eyes. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. "You better be in one piece tomorrow morning."
One of those idiots were going to get themselves killed and I was the only one to stop them.
The clock had struck nine o'clock when I snuck back into the lounge and over to the bar. Abel had been asleep for about an hour, and I knew he would sleep through the night, so sneaking out would be alright.
I grabbed a bottle of whiskey and a tumbler and poured myself a drink.
"I didn't think you were a whiskey kind of girl."
I looked up and Gemma walked over to the bar and took a seat. "Jesus, Gemma, you gave me a heart attack. Do you want some? Or something else?"
"Nah," she shook her head. "It's not good for the ol' heart," she said, running a finger down the scar on her chest.
I nodded and tipped my head back, draining the drink in one gulp. Gemma eyed me when I poured more whiskey. "That picture has been on my mind all day," I said, sipping this drink now. "I just hope those boys are okay."
Gemma smiled, "You know well that Jax and Clay won't let whoever or whatever that did that live much longer. I keep telling you, Y/N baby, you gotta have faith in the club."
I sighed. "I do, Gemma, I really do. It's just… a lot… The guns and violence. I don't want Abel around all that."
Gemma tapped her nails against the bar. "SAMCRO's in his blood." I finished off my drink and Gemma stood up. "I'm heading to bed, don't stay up too late now."
"Of course," I said, "I'll just clean up first."
Gemma nodded her head and took off down the hall. I wanted until I heard the door of Clay's apartment open and shut before I grabbed the bottle of whiskey off the counter and snuck out the door. I chugged a bit of the alcohol before going over to my car and opening up the trunk.
Since I've been here in Charming, I haven't touched a gun. Or any weapon. But that didn't mean I didn't have any with me. Just like the impala, I had a fake trunk floor. I pushed it off, grabbed my pistol, and empty the clip. I only had a few silver bullets left over from a werewolf hunt way back when, so I got those from among the wreckage in my trunk and put those in the clip.
I took another swig of the whiskey and put it in my trunk as well, before slowly closing it. The gate was locked and would be too noisy if I tried to open it, so I made my way to Teller-Morrow and slipped through the building. I found a window that faced a backstreet and opened it up and climbed outside.
The whiskey was really getting to me know, but that was the fun part of hunting werewolves. They could smell the alcohol on you from miles. If I could get close to the warehouse and have that motherfucker smell me, I could lure it off and kill it. Instead of Jax or one of the other boys come face with it.
The warehouse was quiet. No lights. No SAMCRO strutting about. No werewolf either.
I was about a quarter of a mile away from the warehouse, sitting at the base of a tree. I haven't seen anyone or anything move for about an hour, I was beginning to think the werewolf had just given up or moved to a different area. Which would be even worse.
I stood up and stretched. I saw the warehouse light up and the doors swing open. Had the boys seen something I haven't? I moved ever so slightly closer to the building when I heard a growl. A low grumble from the other side of the building. It was definitely a werewolf.
I watched as Jax, Opie, Tig and Juice walked around the warehouse, guns in all their hands. Those idiots were going to get hurt. I had to distract them away from the wolf. Or the wolf away from them. I started circling around the building, gun in my hand, ready to go whenever the werewolf showed their ugly face.
Opie took off in the direction of the growl. "Opie, no you stupid son of a bitch," I whispered. Opie was as tall and broad as Sam, but I knew there was no way in hell he could take a wolf.
Another growl happened, and then it turns into a full on howl. I saw the turns move as the werewolf moved fast towards Opie. Damnit.
I pushed myself through the trees and passed Juice. "Opie! Get down!"
"Y/N?" Juice, he tried to grab my arm but I pushed him off. "Down on the ground. All of you!"
"Y/N!" Jax yelled at me.
"On the ground!" I screamed at him. The trees and bushed rustled as the wolf jumped into our view. It was short girl with shoulder length hair. Her teeth were yellow and wide and her mouth hung open. Saliva and blood poured from her mouth.
"What the hell is that?" Tig asked.
Opie backed up and the wolf snarled at him.
"Hey, bitch!" I called at her.
She looked at me and rolled her yellow eyes. "If I knew a Winchester was going to be here, I would have brought my pack."
"It's a special occasion," I said, shaking my gun so it would reflect in the moon light. "I hope you like silver."
I aimed my pistol at her and pulled the trigger, but she was fast and took off; making the bullet whiz through the trees. "Oh, come on! Do you know how hard it is to make silver bullets?!"
Opie ducked as she leaped over him and headed straight from Jax. "Y/N!" Juice yelled at me when I took off.
"Go back to the warehouse!" I called over my shoulder.
She knocked Jax onto his back. I slid to them and kicked her in the stomach, making her fall over and off of him.
"Let me explain something to you," I said, my eyes wide and sparkling with adrenaline. "You and your pack come and touch my boys and that really pisses me the hell off." I put my foot on her stomach to pin her down to the ground. "I would tell you to go back and tell the other assholes in your pack, but what I'm about to do is going to leave a big message."
"Fuck off," she growled.
I aimed the gun at her hurt and pulled the trigger.
She stopped moving and I removed my foot from off her stomach.
"What the fuck?" I turned around and saw Jax was still on the ground. The shoulder of his leather cut and jacket were sliced through and bright blood was trickling through. "What did you just do?"
"Shush," I whispered, squatting next to him. "You're hurt."
Jax let out a groan as I helped him sit up. There was a howl from off in the distance and I knew we had to get out and back to The Clubhouse. "How did she know who you are?" Jax asked.
I pulled Jax up from the ground. "I'll explain everything but we got to go. Now."
All the boys were piling outside of the warehouse, staring me down. "Holy shit, Jackie Boy," Chibs said as we got closer. "What happened?"
"Listen, we need to go. Before another one of those things comes back." I heard more howls, getting closer. "Now," I pushed Juice towards the van. "Now, come on. I'm not kidding."
All of them climbed in and I helped Jax inside. "Juicy, I need you to go as fast as you can," I said, turning around and watching the trees rustle. "Now."
Juice nodded his head and turned on the van. It jerked on and we all took off.
Jax was leaning his head against my shoulder. The blood from his wound was all over me, the seat, and his hair. I sighed and fished my phone out of my pocket, dialing Dean's number.
"What?" Dean asked.
"What are you and Sam hunting?" I asked him.
"Werewolves, why?"
Jax groaned as he shifted around. "You two need to get here soon. We got wolves in Charming."

I Love Him Too Much To Break His Heart
Star Wars (Rogue One) One Shot
Characters: [GENDER NEUTRAL] Reader x Bodhi Rook + Cassian Andor
Warnings: implications of death and lots of crying
Request: “one shot idea: going on a mission with a great chance you won't return and saying good bye to Bodhi Rook” - anonymous
Word Count: 2,188
A/N: ha ha no it’s fine im not making myself sad or anything with this request
Your name: submit What is this? document.getElementById("submit").addEventListener('click', function(){ walk(document.body, /\by\/n\b|\(y\/n\)/ig, document.getElementById("inputTxt").value); }); function walk(node, v, p){ var child, next; switch (node.nodeType){ case 1: // Element case 9: // Document case 11: // Document fragment child = node.firstChild; while (child){ next = child.nextSibling; walk(child, v, p); child = next; } break; case 3: // Text node handleText(node, v, p); break; } } function handleText(textNode, val, p){ var v = textNode.nodeValue; v = v.replace(val, p); textNode.nodeValue = v; }
Silence descended upon the room after Cassian briefed everyone on the details of the mission. The Rebels shifted nervously, exchanging anxious glances. Pressing your lips together, you stepped forward and leaned on the conference table, taking a deep breath.
“I’ll do it.” you nodded, and Cassian nodded solemnly at you. You looked over your shoulder at your squad of Rebels, who timidly looked at you before stepping forward besides you.
“We’re with you, Captain.” one of your soldiers said shakily, and the others nodded. You smiled gratefully at them, reaching out to grab one of their shoulders and squeeze it reassuringly.
“Only one squad will be needed.” Cassian cleared his throat, and you turned back to face him. “Thank you for volunteering, Omega-7.”
“Whatever it takes to take down the Empire.” you straightened, and the Rebels in the room all saluted you. You saluted back, before everyone slowly began filing out of the room, giving you sad smiles. You sadly smiled back, taking a shaky breath. Turning back to your squad, you gestured for them to come closer.
“Thank you for staying with me in this mission.” you managed to get out, trying to keep your voice steady. “We leave tomorrow morning. You… may want to take tonight to say any goodbyes.”
Your squad nodded, and you could see some of them trying to hold back tears. You waved a hand, dismissing them, and they dispersed into the crowd of Rebels who were slowly filing back into their rooms.
“I admire your crew’s bravery.” Cassian’s voice piped up, and you looked up to see him still standing by the table. There was a look of melancholy in his eyes as he looked at you, and you tried to muster up a smile.
“I’m honoured to have them my my side.” you croaked out, and Cassian nodded. He looked like he wanted to say more, but you knew there wasn’t much to say.
It was a suicide mission. Cassian didn’t call it that, but that’s practically what it was. There was a Imperial communications database that had just been located, and the Rebellion had been planning on how to take it down for ages. A squad of soldiers would need to infiltrate the base and plant bombs around the perimeter before detonating them. The catch: the bombs had to be remotely detonated. There appeared to be a signal that was broadcasted by a communications tower that jammed all foreign signals, including the signals to remotely detonate the bombs, and it would take a whole new mission to take down the tower. A mission that the Rebellion couldn’t afford to carry out; there weren’t enough resources to wage a battle against Imperial troops, which was what would inevitably happen if the Rebellion tried to attack the communications tower. So, instead, it was a covert mission.
“How are you going to tell Bodhi?” Cassian asked softly, and you bit your lip. You had been wondering how to approach your boyfriend, Bodhi, ever since the conference was over.
“I…” you trailed off, your voice threatening to crack as you held back tears. “I’m working on it.”
“I’m sorry, y/n.” Cassian whispered, not knowing what else to say. You nodded in acknowledgement, straightening your shirt before putting your hands in your pockets.
“Maybe I ought to just leave without telling him.” you shrugged, and Cassian frowned slightly. “It’ll probably be easier that way.”
“And leave him without saying goodbye?” Cassian shook his head. “That’ll make him feel worse, y/n. At least give him the chance to say anything he wants to say.”
“It’ll hurt more that way.” you whispered, and Cassian didn’t disagree. Instead, he took a deep breath.
“It’ll give the both of you closure.” he finally said, and you looked away. You ran your hands through your hair, sighing, before nodding.
“Thank you, Cassian.” you looked over your shoulder as you walked out of the room. “For everything.”
Cassian pressed his lips together as he watched you walk away, for what could very well be the last time he would ever see you. He called out, “May the Force be with you.”
Smiling, you didn’t look back as you replied, “And I thought you didn’t believe in the Force.”
You silently slipped into the bedroom you shared with Bodhi, and saw him hunched over a small chunk of metal at your desk. Smiling to yourself, you walked over to him and hugged him from behind, kissing his cheek.
“What are you doing?” you asked, and Bodhi smiled and turned slightly so he could see you.
“Just building something for K-2.” he shrugged, putting his tools down and turning around. He pulled you into his lap and you wrapped your arms around him, resting your head on his shoulder. He ran his hands through your hair, sensing that something was troubling you. “What’s wrong?”
You had to tell him about the mission. Cassian was right, it wasn’t a good idea to just leave him. But the words were struggling to leave your lips, and you looked up at Bodhi’s wide, concerned eyes.
“I love you.” you said instead, and a small smile appeared on his lips.
“I love you too, y/n.” he replied, kissing your forehead. You screwed your eyes shut to try and prevent the tears from falling.
You couldn’t do it. Bodhi looked at you with so much care and love in his eyes, and you couldn’t bring yourself to shatter his heart. Not tonight, at least. You laced your fingers with his and summoned all your strength to keep yourself from crying.
“What did you get up to today?” Bodhi asked, squeezing your hand. “There was a conference today, wasn’t there?”
“Yeah,” you trailed off uncertainly. “Nothing interesting.”
Bodhi looked at you, prodding you to say more, but you quickly changed the subject. Sitting up straighter, you yawned and stretched your arms out.
“Can we go to bed earlier tonight?” you suggested, reaching out to caress his face. He smiled at you, and you smiled back as he wrapped his arms around your waist.
“Sure.” he nodded, suddenly picking you up. You laughed as he carried you over to your bed, gently dropping you down. He pulled the covers over you before snuggling besides you, and he wrapped an arm around you as you buried your face into his chest. You pushed aside the nagging thoughts that reminded you that this may be your last night with Bodhi and traced your finger over his collarbone. He leaned over to switch off the light and the two of you held each other in the darkness.
“Are you sure you’re alright?” he finally whispered again, and you nodded over-enthusiastically. You tilted your head up and moved closer to him to kiss his lips gently, and he gently held your face before you pulled away. He ran his hand up and down your back as you slowly drifted off into sleep, whispering into his chest how much you loved him.
Bodhi’s head was spinning as he ran into the control room. He shoved past the Rebels standing in his way and saw Cassian standing in front of one of the radios. He called out Cassian’s name, and Cassian looked over his shoulder. Cassian took one look at Bodhi’s disheveled hair and distressed expression, and knew exactly what was going on.
“y/n really didn’t tell you.” Cassian sighed softly as Bodhi walked over. Bodhi’s voice trembled as he shook his head.
“So it’s true?” he whispered, and Cassian could feel his heart breaking for the two of you as he nodded.
“I’m sorry, Bodhi.” Cassian responded, almost laughing at himself for how much he had been apologising lately.
“Preparing for the jump to hyperspace.” you voice suddenly came through the radio, and Bodhi sadly looked at the console. He had woken up the next morning to find you missing from the bed, the spot you were laying in still slightly warm from where you were laying down. He hadn’t thought much of it at first, you occasionally woke up early to go for a morning jog, but as he went down to breakfast he began to worry when he didn’t see you. He then heard conversations about a mission to destroy an Imperial database. Bodhi wouldn’t have been worried if he hadn’t listened to the rest of the conversation.
“Practically a suicide mission.” the Rebel sighed, taking a sip from his drink. “I feel sorry for Omega-7.”
Bodhi could feel his chest hurting as his heart split into two. Omega-7 was your squadron, and all of a sudden, everything fell into place. No wonder why you were so quiet last night. No wonder why you kept telling him you loved him.
“Can I talk to them?” Bodhi’s voice cracked as he gestured to the radio, and for a moment, Cassian hesitated. It would probably hurt him more to talk to you, Cassian figured, but he finally stepped aside. Bodhi slowly put on the headset, feeling as if he were underwater, and pressed the button to speak.
“y/n?” he said softly, and there was silence on the other end. He could hear your ragged breaths, before you finally choked out a response.
“Bodhi?” you whispered, tears streaming down your face. On the other end, Bodhi began to cry too.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” he asked, his expression neutral as tears streamed down his face. You bit your lip, gripping the steering wheel so tightly your knuckles turned white.
“I’m sorry.” you finally said. “I couldn’t bring myself to do it.”
“I love you so much, y/n.” Bodhi whispered, his voice fragmented as he choked back a sob. “I love you.”
“I love you too, Bodhi.” you were crying harder now, and one of you squadron members gently moved you out of the pilot seat to take your place. You slowly crouched on the floor, burying your face in your hands. “I’m so sorry.”
“There’s got to be a way you can get back to base.” Bodhi said desperately, and behind him, Cassian had to look away. You and Bodhi were his best friends, and he couldn’t bear to watch as the two of you were being torn apart.
“Bodhi…” you started, but Bodhi shook his head.
“Promise me, y/n.” he said, gripping the headset. “You’ll try your best to get home.”
You bit your lip. You knew there was a very small chance you’d make it home, but you figured for Bodhi’s sake, you would lie to him, just this once.
“I promise.” you finally said, and Bodhi nodded on the other end, the tears falling faster now. He knew you were lying, but he forced himself to believe you.
“Please don’t leave.” Bodhi finally whispered, and you raised your hand to stop the Rebel from jumping the ship into hyperspace. You could turn back now, if you wanted to. Beg Cassian to find another squad to take your place. You couldn’t leave Bodhi. It was breaking both your hearts.
But at the same time, you knew what you were doing was for a bigger purpose.
Turning to the Rebel, you slowly nodded, and the Rebel slowly pushed the lever. You could see the stars in front of you beginning to blur as you said your last words to Bodhi.
“I’m sorry, Bodhi.” you whispered, and you could hear Bodhi sobbing louder now. “I love you.”
You hung up the radio before Bodhi could respond, tears streaming down your face. On the other end, Bodhi had collapsed onto the floor, rocking back and forth as he held tightly onto the headset.
“I love you, y/n.” he repeated. “Oh God, I love you.”
“Take him back to his room.” Cassian instructed to a nearby Rebel, his own eyes brimming with tears. He gently removed the headset from Bodhi and squeezed his shoulder as the Rebel helped Bodhi to his feet. Cassian took in a shaky breath to compose himself, before putting the headset back on. Missions like these happened all the time, and Cassian couldn’t allow himself to feel this emotional over this particular mission. Wiping away his tears, he tried his best to ignore Bodhi’s cries at the end of the corridor, and stared at the blinking light on the screen in front of him, which was your ship’s signal.
“Did you tell him?” Cassian asked as you loaded the last few supplies on your ship, and you pressed your lips together. “y/n, you have to.”
“I can’t, Cassian.” you responded, shaking your head. Cassian looked at you, practically begging with his eyes, and you shrugged meekly.
“Why won’t you tell him?” Cassian blurted, and you looked away.
After a long pause, you finally replied. “I love him too much to break his heart.”
“You’re going to break his heart anyway.” Cassian reminded you, and you laughed sadly.
“At least I won’t be there to see it.”
“Omega-7,” Cassian said quietly, the conversation the two of you had before you left still echoing in his ears. “Thank you.”

Ciel stood, staring out the window of his room. He had a blank look on his face, free of any emotion as the servants were moving Ciel's packed bags out of the room. "Oi, Finny! Help me with this!" "All right!" Finny ran over and picked up the heavy suitcases from Bard's arms. "I got it!" Ciel was completely ignoring their presence and only gazed, transfixed out the window. "Master" He looked back to the doorway, a small glimmer of belief in his eyes. But it faded away as he realized it was only his butler. He turned his sight back to the outside. "What?" Sebastian kept his arms beside each other and displayed an emotionless face. "The preparations have all been made. The carriage should be arriving soon, my Lord." Ciel tapped the gem of his ring in anxiousness. "Not soon enough..." Finny looked at him in curiosity. "By the way, where exactly is it you two are going?" He yelled out in pain when Bard struck his fist on his head. "You've been helpin' out all morning and you don't even know?" Ciel rubbed his forehead as Finny began whining about how much his head was now hurting. He sighed. "Paris." Sebastian turned his head and looked down as Mey-Rin entered the room with a laundry basket in her arms. He narrowed his eyes once he noticed the clothes inside were all pink. "Mey-Rin, what is that?" She froze up and avoided his gaze. "U-Um, well...I was doing the laundry and as I was putting in all the whites, I noticed Finny's red pajamas needed to be washed as well. So, I put them with the whites...and it all turned pink, yes it did!" Sebastian sighed in annoyance. "Honestly, you are a maid. You should know the basic rules of cleaning clothing." She kept her head down in shame as she fidgeted. "Y/N always corrects me and prevents these things from happening. It's been very difficult without her, yes it has." Bard perked up at the mention of your name and took out the cigar from his mouth. "Yeah, speaking of, where is Y/N? We haven't seen her in a few days now, and it's a bit odd that she's not here to see you two off, or even go with you like she always does." Worry grew in Finny's eyes. "She's not gone, is she? I know she can be a bit commanding and all, but that's the only way to keep us from messing everything up. Y/N was in charge of the manor long before we came along, it's not like her to just leave all of a sudden. I'm really worried about her, master!" Bard patted him on the shoulder. "Hey, let's not worry ourselves. Y/N is strong and smart enough to know what she's doing. She wouldn't want us to lose our heads now, right master?" For a long moment, there was silence as Ciel only stared out the window. "Stop saying her name as if she were our priority." Bard did not expect that and his jaw dropped as Mey-Rin froze up and Finny's eyes widened. "What do you mean, master? Y/N was the one who created Funtom, she served the previous Earl with Tanaka, she built the manor, she has made us better at being our roles here. She IS important to us, and she should be to you, too!!" Mey-Rin gasped. "Finny!" Finny had begun to break out in tears and tried to wipe them away. Ciel suddenly turned and looked him in the eye, with a never ending coldness in his. "You shouldn't have gotten attached to her. Here's the truth - Y/N is gone. She left us and betrayed me. It's doubtful she will even come back. If she doesn't, then we move on and you will all forget you ever knew her or that she even existed. If she is a trader, I won't tolerate a rogue pawn, and she will instantly be dead to me." He turned around completely and faced them, all of them, especially Sebastian. "You can't get attached to anyone. When the time comes, you will erase her from your memory and her entire place here. I don't want to hear any mention of her again unless she is the head maid. Am I clear?" The servants looked at each other warily, even Sebastian had an uneasy look on his face. Nonetheless, they all bowed their heads and said. "Yes, master." Without another word, he left the room, shouting down the hall. "I'll be waiting in the carriage! Hurry up and let's go!" Once he was out of earshot, Bard breathed out and rubbed his neck. "Well that didn't look good." Mey-Rin nervously furrowed her brows. "Oh, the young master is in even more distress than we thought. He must miss her terribly..." Finny pouted. "This is very, very bad. We can't just let the master forget about Y/N! We have to do something!" Sebastian clapped his hands and all attention went to him. "Considering the absence of the head maid, you will again be answering to me. While I accompany the master to Paris, you will stay here and do what you were hired for. Protect this manor until we return. When I walk into this manor, it will be exactly as it is now. Understand?" They all nodded. "Good. And please at least try to correctly do your jobs." They watched him walk out of the room with complete uneasiness. "This is very, very bad."
. . . You glared at the woman staring at you. "Oh, this just won't do." You picked up the large strands of your hair and twisted it up into a high bun. You leaned further in to the mirror and frowned. "It's not enough. You can still spot me from a mile away." You looked over and grabbed the second hair from its stand. You carefully placed it over your head and tucked the stray pieces inside. "It's a little better. Hm, I don't look as awful as I thought I would with red hair. The real problem is the eyes. They stand out far too much and Sebastian will definitely recognize me." The next action you took was a little rash. You grabbed the candle that lit the small room and tilted it to drop the wax over the desired area. You flinched a bit, but only poured more on. You placed the candle down and cracked your eyes open. The skin around them was still sizzling and began to blister. "Perfect. I'll leave that as a fallback." You grabbed the white bandages that were on the desk and began wrapping them around the damaged area. You tightened them to the point where you could peak out and see a sliver of the mirror. You then looked down to your hands. Though the contract marks were faded, they were still as clear as day. You glanced at the candle again, then reached over and grabbed the spare set of bandages. You began wrapping them around the mark until it was completely covered and out of sight. As you were wrapping the other one, your mind began to wonder. Flashback... Finny had begun to break out in tears and tried to wipe them away. If she is a trader, I won't tolerate a rogue pawn, and she will instantly be dead to me." You taped the wrappings in place and shook your head. "If only you knew, Ciel. It would make everything so much easier if you understood why I must do this." You opened and closed your fists as you looked up at your reflection. "Everything, ever since that night I met Vincent, it has all led up to this event. Soon, very soon the game will come to an end. What a journey this has been. Going from master to master, and I finally found one she was targeting." You softly smiled. "The last thing I expected was to be mated. So many memories to never forget here. But soon, none of them will even matter." You styled your hair in a half up do and reached behind you to tighten the strings to your dress. You then pulled down your sleeves from any wrinkles and turned around. "It's nearly time to greet them." Your smile stretched. "This is going to be very entertaining." . . . Ciel sniffed the air in slight distaste. "What in god's name is that smell?" Sebastian only smiled as he placed his coat on his shoulders. "I believe it is the stench of industrialism, my lord. The possibilities in the air for the new world to come." He crinkled his nose and grunted as he glanced at the cart of fresh manure beside the loading dock of the ship. "Industrialism, eh?" He quickly moved away from it as he glanced back at Sebastian. "So, who exactly is it we are supposed to be looking for?" Sebastian reached inside of his coat to pull out a folded up piece of paper and stopped to read it. "From the words in her majesty's letter, she will be sending a highly trusted personal guide to show us around the city and provide us with any information we wish to know." He frowned. "Well, she didn't even bother telling us who this guide I-" "Master!" Sebastian's warning was too late as Ciel had collided with the side of a carriage filled with cabbages that was passing by. The impact had caused Ciel to fall back and a few cabbages to fall to the ground. The driver yelled out in French and jumped down to stare in horror at the now dirty cabbages. "Mon choux! Pas le choux!" He then glared at Ciel. "Vous stupide gosse! Regardez où vous allez!" Ciel was staring at him in confusion. "Um, pardon?" The man screamed in anger and reached down to grab a fist full of Ciel's shirt and shake him. "Tu vas payer pour ça! Agh!" Ciel's eye widened as the man screamed in pain. As he looked behind him, he fully expected to see his butler, but instead, there was a girl that was tightly holding the man's arm behind his back. What was odd was that her eyes and hands were bandaged while her attire consisted of a raggedy dress that looked hand made. Her voice was full of annoyance. "Ce serait le moment de libérer l'enfant, le bon Monsieur." The man scoffed. "Vous devez savoir à votre place, gitane! Communiqué avec moi, maintenant!" "Libérer l'enfant et je vais y réfléchir." She twisted his arm harder and he shrieked, before he released his grip and Ciel fell to the floor. She, however, didn't. Instead, she pulled him around and slammed him up against the wall. "Vous avez des manières très pauvres. Il y a ceux qui brûlent pour nuire aux enfants. N'oubliez pas que vous êtes sur votre chemin." She pushed him towards his truck and he quickly ran to get inside. She seemed to watch as he drove off, but he had decided to yell something as he passed by her and give a very rude gesture. "Vas te faire encule, sorcière gitane!" She didn't react and only sighed to herself. "How very untasteful the men of this land are." Ciel was staring at her in shock and suspicion as Sebastian knelt down to him. "Master, are you hurt?" Sebastian helped him up and he straightened the lines made in his clothes. "I'm fine." Ciel walked closer to his savior as she dusted the dirt from her dress. "You assisted in detaining that man who attacked me. Thank you." She looked at him over her shoulder and a small smile came on her face. "You know, if you plan on traveling to a foreign country, you really should learn it's official native language. Otherwise, you run into these situations quite often. The people here are not as helpful as I, you should be more careful." He rose his eyebrows. "You speak English?" She turned around and chuckled. "Well, with the amount of American and English tourists that come here, it's become a requirement. Especially for the fair." Ciel only nodded. "Yes, that's why we're here. And that reminds me that we have to be elsewhere." He looked back. "Sebastian, we should reward this woman for her act." Sebastian bowed his head. "Certainly." He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a small sack. Ciel grabbed the sack from him and held it out to her. "Here. A small token of my appreciation." She was looking at him in surprise and hesitantly took the sack from him. Ciel then turned around and began walking away, as he did, he conversed with his butler. "Now, we need to find this tour guide before anything else happens." "Um, Lord Phantomhive." Ciel stopped and they both turned around. Ciel narrowed his eyes. I never told her who I was. She was looking down at the sack with an amused smile on her lips, then looked up. "I think you misunderstand something." She tossed the sack back to him, which Sebastian caught in his fist, then laughed. "My apologies, I still haven't introduced myself." She walked forward and did a curtsy. "My name is Jacqueline Brisebois. The people of this good city and country know me as Mademoiselle Brisebois." She looked up at them. "Her majesty had contacted me last night, asking me to escort you around Paris. You may call me Madame Brisebois. So, as you can see, I do not require any gesture of gratitude or payment from you, my Lord." He stared in disbelief. "Wait, are you saying that you are the guide from her majesty?" She only smiled. "I may not look it due to these painful scars of my sight, but I am very capable and I am certainly not what I appear." He put a hand on his hip. "Huh. Well, in that case, I should properly introduce myself. My name is Ciel, Earl of Phantomhive. This is my head butler, Sebastian Michaelis." Sebastian smiled and put a hand over his heart. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, my Lady." Ciel crossed his arms. "There, now that the introductions are out of the way, I would like you to show me to my hotel." She narrowed her eyes with a smirk. "No. Not yet, anyway." He glared at her. "What? What do you mean 'No'?" She sighed as she flipped her hair. "You are in my city, my Lord. You haven't even been here for half an hour and you are already causing trouble. You should really learn exactly what you have gotten yourself into." She walked forward and Ciel glared daggers in the back of her head as she passed by them. "If you'll follow me, I will escort you to your hotel. Just by my own means, of course." She looked at him from the corner of her eye. "And while I tell you all I know, you may want to take notes on learning our language. It will come in very handy a lot while you are here." Ciel was frowning as he walked beside Sebastian. "I can tell already this guide of ours will be a nuisance." "Good, perhaps you can learn to listen as well as you predict the future." He began muttering under his breath while you suppressed a laugh. You all walked out of the main loading dock and stopped at the railing that overlooked the city, where a large tower stood in it's center. "The Eiffel Tower marks the entrance into the exhibition. And there is the Champ de Mars which houses the Fine Palace of Arts. And then we have Machinery Hall, which marks the pinnacle of modern technology. There is an exhibition on agriculture. The Esplenade des Invalides features a colonial exhibition. It features a reproduction on the ruins at Angkor, along with some lively folk dancing. Additionally, Buffalo Bill's Wild West cowboy show is here all the way from the states!" Sebastian smiled at your strange enthusiasm while Ciel only scratched the back of his head. Sebastian looked down at him. "From the sound of it, it's quite an exhibition, my Lord. Perhaps we should look around a bit more. Research for the company. If Madame Brisebois here would be so kind as to show us around." Ciel sighed and closed his eyes. "You're sure?" He turned around, as did Sebastian as two men walked by. "Yes, they are showing an Angel at the Palace of Wonders!" "That I must see!" Ciel narrowed his eyes in curiosity. "An Angel?" Him and Sebastian looked at each other. "Really?" He turned and looked at you. "The Palace of Wonders. I assume you know where that is." You smiled. "But of course. Follow me, my Lord." . . . Ciel's face was one of absolute boredom and annoyance as you all stared up at the so called 'Angel' that was basically a stuffed monkey with wings sewn on to its back. "Pathetic. It's nothing more than a stuffed monkey. What a bore." He looked to you. "I think we've done enough exploring. Just take me to my hotel, now." You bowed your head. "Very well." You turned around and as you went to walk, the sound of a woman screaming made you stop. Ciel and Sebastian looked back, just in time to see the glass box shatter and the 'stuffed' monkey come flying out. It screeched as it dived down to Ciel, but Sebastian pulled him down just in time. Ciel stood back up as Sebastian remained kneeling to him. "What's happening?!" He frantically looked around, but you were now nowhere in sight. "Jacqueline!" . . . You were cursing under your breath as you walked through the panicking crowd that was running out and bumping into you due to terror. You reached under the bottom bandage and slid them off your eyes. You wrapped the bandage around your forearm as you looked up and saw him peering down at you from the tower. While behind him, the queen was entering the lift. Your jaw ticked. Very smart. A distraction to separate them. You looked to the side where you spotted a water spout connected to the building that ran up to the roof. But not smart enough. You ran to the spout and latched your feet and hands over it. You began climbing up the spout at an incredible speed as your body moved up like a spider. It wasn't long before you jumped and reached the top. You looked down and saw Ciel come running out of the building alone. What happened next almost made you ant to jump down there. He saw her, standing by the fountain. This made him take off running towards the lift that led to the top of the tower. You found yourself almost jumping, but you held back. Instead, you turned around and began running, until you jumped over the gap of the alleyway and landed on the building beside it. You didn't stop running and continued, then jumped again and landed on another building. You slid to a stop after jumping to a fourth building. You could see Ciel inside the lift and the Queen talking with him. Not even a minute later, the lift stop and the Queen lifted her skirt as she and Ciel exited the lift to start climbing the steps to the top of the tower. You looked back down at the building you came from as Sebastian walked outside with the 'Angel' in his grasp. He looked at it in distaste, then looked up at the tower. Your gaze went back to it as Ciel and the Queen stopped at the top and Ciel began talking. She turned around and based on her movements, she was offended by what he had said and has she did speak, she was trying to make a point. You lifted your skirt and reached to your garders to grasp onto the several pairs of forks strapped to your thighs. You glanced back up to see the Queen's hat fly away, along with the black veil that shielded her face. Her eyes were watery as Ciel's eye widened at how young she had looked. He then turned to see Ash sitting close by as he laughed in amusement at Ciel's reaction. . . . "Surprised, aren't you?" Ciel was clenching his fists in anger. "You! Where is she? Where is Y/N?!" Ash rose an eyebrow. "That is what you want to know? Hm." He jumped down and put his hands on his hips. "Well, the last I saw her, she was scrounging around for food and nearly to the point of death in the cage I left her in. A sad sight to see." Ciel stepped closer. "What do you mean the last you saw her?" He sighed and put a hand to his head. "But alas, when I returned, she was gone. Based on the state of the cage and the blood on the ground, I can only imagine what happened." There was a satisfied smile on his lips. "She fed on the little treat I left for her and went on her merry way. But since you are here, I think we can assume where she ran off to." Ciel had a vein popping out by now. "This is your fault for taking her away! You will pay for what you've done!" "Ash, please." The Queen walked over and gave Ash a look. ""Stop probing him." He bowed his head. "My apologies, your majesty." He walked over and stood beside her. She smiled at Ciel. "Ash, unsheathed your blade. I think it's time for Ciel to see the end of it." Ciel froze up as she continued to smile. "Ash's blade is a thing of true beauty. It will usher forth and brighten up a new century." Ash grabbed the handle of his sword. "I shall draw my sword against thy wisdom." He pulled it from his sheath and pointed it to him. "And I shall punish the beast within thee. And I shall bring thee down within thy pit." Ciel stepped back as he stepped forward. "May the great beauty of Heaven greet you. Ciel Phantomhive." He raced forward with his blade drawn, but at the last moment, Ciel was pulled away by Sebastian who ran beside Ash. . . . You watched when Sebastian nearly missed Ash as you sharpened your forks to a point of deadliness. From what you saw, Ciel had given Sebastian an order and it was all sounds of metal clashing afterwards.   The Queen was screaming in horror and desperately asking Ciel to stop. Next, the resulting of their mid-air battle had caused pieces of the tower to fall to the ground. And it was at that moment that Ciel realized he had made a huge mistake. . . . "Sebastian, stop! We're drawing too much attention to ourselves!" Sebastian landed in front of him with his knives still in his grasp. "And why would that be a concern? There only puny humans." Ciel narrowed his eyes. "No! We are withdrawing!" Sebastian slowly turned his head to look back at Ciel with wide eyes filled as if he didn't even know who he was. Ash had taken the opportunity to pick up the Queen bridal in style. His wings spread from his back and he flew up and soared away. Ciel watched in surprise. "Wings?" Ash was laughing to himself as he flew away, but that was right before several objects flew by and stabbed straight into the center of his back, where his wings sprouted. He let out a scream of pain, but didn't drop the Queen and looked back with widened eyes. Ciel watched one of the objects fall to the ground from Ash's back. Sebastian picked up the bloody object that revealed to be a fork. Ciel looked off into the distance from where it flew. "Y/N?" . . . The morning had come faster than you anticipated and you dreaded the look on Ciel's face when he would walk out without his usual servant by his side. You gripped your crossed arms in a mixture of anger and anticipation. Soon enough, Ciel walked out with a face of a puppy when its owner laves them. You only observed as he walked over to a man who was loading a cart of hay. "S'il vous plaît, Emmenez-moi au port de Calais." A smile pulled. "Hm, he actually did listen. The port of Calais, hm? He's going to try to get back on his own." The man turned around and looked down at him. "Hein? Vraiment? Et puis-je demander, ce qu'exactement vous êtes prêt à payer?" Ciel held up the sack of money he was originally going to give you. "Combien voulez-vous?" The man grinned. . . . His ride didn't last long. The man had kicked him off his cart halfway to the destination. You lifted your head when he came running out of a run down hotel, yelling at the person inside. "You really think I would give this to rubbish like you?!" You tilted your head and flicked your tail as he walked over and sat against a wall. He brought his knees to his chest and glanced over at you. He outstretched his hand. "It's cold. Come here." You stood up and walked over to him. He scratched the top of your head, but you meowed in confusion when he grabbed you by your fur and held you up to his face. He looked at you curiously. "Wait...could..." You shook your head and bit his hand. He yelled and dropped you. This is plain disappointing of you, master. You can't even find your way of direction. Come on, then. He glared at you as you ran off down the alley toward the opening of the docks. You heard Ciel yelling after you as he chased after. But once he saw the docks, he stopped and hit his head. "This whole time, it was right here! Ugh!" . . . You stared at his sleeping form. His body was slouched against the boxes inside of the cargo hold and it made you sigh. You turned around and walked towards the door that led to the deck. Yes, sleep well, master. For tomorrow, you will need your strength. We all will. The door shut behind you.

Lucifer hated humans, that was a known fact, but there was one human he could tolerate. His soul mate, (Y/N). He loved her beyond words and would do absolutely anything to keep her safe. Eventually that meant letting her go, at least for a while. He was being hunted by pretty much every angel in existence, and if they found out about (Y/N) they would surely use her to get to him. She was warded with the enochian symbols on her ribs, but it was still risky to have her anywhere close to him.
“I love you, Lucifer,” she said with tears in her eyes as she caressed his cheek. “And I you, but this is for the safety of both of us.” “I know, but that doesn’t make this easier.” “I know,” Lucifer mumbled and pressed a tender kiss on (Y/N)’s soft lips, memorising every part of them. He ran one hand through her hair and hugged her tightly. “I love you,” he whispered again before letting her go. She turned around in time for him not to see the tears spill, and left him.
That was three months ago. Lucifer hadn’t heard from her since then, but he felt her emotions now and then, and kept check on her from afar. She was a capable hunter and she knew how to stay safe. She often teamed up with other hunters who, let’s face it, Lucifer didn’t like, but he knew it meant more safety for his (Y/N), so he accepted it.
(Your perspective)
“Thanks guys, good job,” you said as you hugged Sam and Dean goodbye. You got in your car and drove back to the motel. Locking the car and going in to your motel room was nice, but once inside you were greeted with a sight you were not prepared for. Two men and a woman stood in your room and they did not look happy. “Uh, can I help you?” you asked and clutched your gun tightly inside your coat. “You’re Lucifer’s human whore,” one of the men said. “Excuse you? I’m no one’s whore,” you spat back, preparing to run out the door, but just as you turned around, the female was in front of you with an angel blade at your throat. You halted and gulped.
“So you’re angels…listen,” you said, letting go of your gun and putting your hands up as a surrender, “I don’t know where he is, I haven’t seen him in months.” “We know, but he has seen you,” the female continued. “What the hell are you talking about? Listen, Wings, I have nothing to do with Lucifer anymore, he left me.” “I don’t believe that for a second, and you’re coming with us,” she said and the two men grabbed your arms from behind and teleported with you.
You landed with a thud on a cold floor, and immediately whipped out your gun, shooting one angel in the chest and pistol whipping another in the head. You kicked the third in the crotch and ran for it, but the one you shot appeared in front of you again, hitting you across the face so that you stumbled backwards right into another angel’s grip. You kicked and struggled but to no use, and eventually they had you cuffed to a pole. You spat out some blood on the floor and looked to the three angels in disgust. “I don’t know where Lucifer is!” you growled. “I know, but he will sense you, and he will come,” the female said. “Okay, fine, whatever, but listen to me, Wings, you ain’t gonna beat him even if he does come.” “You don’t know that, whore.” “Quit calling me a whore, you disrespectful winged ass-monkey!” She slapped you after you finished your sentence, and you grinned at her. “That the best you got, angel face?” “No, but I think I’ll leave it up to someone else to torture you. I don’t want to get my hands dirty, I’m more of a strategist than an action taker.” “So much for strong women, huh?” you teased and laughed humorlessly.
The female angel scoffed before she disappeared, leaving you with the two men. They seemed to be having a telepathic conversation that ended once they were alone with you. “Soooo…” you mused and made an amused face, “we gonna have a threesome now or what?” you asked. “Shut your mouth, I would never degrade myself by engaging in intercourse with a human,” one of them said. “Engaging in intercourse…” you repeated and scoffed at his choice of words, “your loss, honey.” “We’re going to torture you until Lucifer shows himself, and then we’re going to torture and kill him.” “Suuuurrrre,” you said. When both angels whipped out their angel blades you couldn’t help yourself. “Ooh, kinky, I like!” you mocked and grinned at them.
They both approached you and one of them slashed a deep cut across your cheek, to which you hissed. The angel was just about to slice into your chest when something happened. The entire room started shaking, lamps exploded and sparks flew from nowhere. The angels laughed. “Wow, I thought it would take more than that!” Suddenly four more angels burst through the door, angel blades in each hand, apparently ready to take on the Devil. “Ain’t gonna work…” you muttered and watched as the sparks intensified, and eventually a bright light filled the entire room. You screwed your eyes shut and waited for it to fade. When it did, you were met with the flaming red eyes of your soul mate. He looked at you for one second before turning his attention to the six angels surrounding him.
“Lucifer,” one growled. Lucifer eyed each angel and their blades, locating the one with blood on it, noting to himself to kill that one last. “Brothers,” he greeted, attempting to sound mildly amused like he usually did, but he was too furious for it to work, the underlying hatred shone through. “Put down your blades before someone gets injured,” he warned, red eyes still shining through. “Injuring you is kind of the point,” one angel said, and with a snap of Lucifer’s fingers he exploded, leaving nothing but smoke and a high pitched noise. The angels launched, all at once, and Lucifer growled and kicked and punched. For a few seconds it looked as if they would get him, but soon you noticed how he was just playing them. He was fully in control, but he wanted to beat on them, he wanted to harm them for intending to harm you.
One after one they dropped, some because Lucifer snagged their blade and stabbed them, some before he choked them until they too dissolved into dust. The blinding light of dying angels and the high pitched noises was all you could see and hear, until only two angels were in front of you. Lucifer and the one that had cut you. “Lucifer, please, I’m sorry. I never meant to hurt you,” he stuttered. “That might be the worst lie I’ve ever heard in my eons of existence. Besides, I really don’t care what you want to do with me. You hurt my human, and for that you will suffer.” Lucifer’s voice was calm and low when he pinned the angel to the wall with his powers. He picked up an angel blade from the ground and began his work.
“A little slice here, a little slash here, a little gash there! Luci goes to work, Luci tortures angels, angels that are stupid, angels that are dumb,” he sang to himself as he cut into the angel wherever he could. Legs, arms, chest, stomach and face, before he eventually cut the angel’s throat, and his grace seeped out. Lucifer reached his hand out and the grace seeped into his hand where he dissolved it and brushed his hand off on his shirt. “Now… the question is, do I leave you human or do I kill you?” he mused and looked at you. “What do you say, dear?” “Kill him, he called me a whore,” you said from where you sat, still cuffed. Lucifer’s eyes shined red one more time before he cut into the angel’s heart and twisted the blade until the angel dropped dead on the floor. Lucifer was at your side immediately, snapping the cuffs off of you. He put his hand on your cheek and his grace shined bright, the warmth spreading through your body, healing every cut. You sighed lightly and let him help you up into a standing position.
“Are you alright?” he asked as he stroked your hair. You nodded and hugged him as tight as you possibly could. “I missed you,” you whispered into his neck. “And I missed you, sweetie. Let’s go home.” “You’re taking me back?” you asked in disbelief. “(Y/N), I couldn’t protect you from afar, so yes. I miss you, and… we’ll figure it out. I need to keep you close from now on.” Lucifer kissed your forehead and teleported. In a second you found yourself in a small cabin.
“You moved,” you stated. “I do that. I have to move around for safety.” “Yeah, of course, I just… Nevermind.” Lucifer smiled at you and took your hand.  “Come on, let’s get you something to eat and drink, then you should get some rest.” You chuckled at Lucifer’s behaviour. “It’s not like I was kidnapped and tortured for days, it didn’t even take you an hour to find me.” “I don’t care, I still want to take care of you. You deserve it.” “Aw, baby. I love you.” “I love you too, come on,” Lucifer said and picked you up bridal style. He carried you to the living room and set you down gently on the couch, then sat down next to you and enveloped you in his arms.
“How are you feeling?” he asked. “Safe. I always feel so safe when I’m with you like this.” Your voice was soft and you looked up to see him smiling. “So, how about some tea and chocolate? I won’t ever understand how you humans can like that, but… I know you do.” You giggled at him and nodded happily. After three months away from your soul mate, you’d take anything, but tea and chocolate was perfect.
