Web of Misfortune-- [An Unhinged Miraculous Ladybug Fanfic]

My notes for an unhinged Miraculous Ladybug fanfic that'll probably never be made:

This was a fic that I was going to make, but there was a slight issue with it-- I am very behind the Miraculous episodes. No joke, I have no clue who the current superheroes are (aside from Marinette and Adrien obviously) and all the shit that’s happened in the seasons.

But anyway, if I had watched all of it, then this is probably what I would have created with that knowledge:

Web of Misfortune

[M!Yandere!Marinette x F!Reader x F!Yandere!Adrien]

Summary: Upon returning to France, a teenage girl accidentally became a superhero and is now tasked with the immense responsibility of protecting Paris from supervillains. Luckily, there’s two seasoned superheroes to help show her the ropes of the job. However as time passes, she notices that the partners she admires slowly begin to behave strangely towards her-- not to mention the two classmates that seem fixated on her during her civilian life. Amidst the crime-fighting, the stress and anxiety, and growing unease for her partners-- instead of joy and excitement from this miraculous opportunity like it’s all supposed to be, it feels like instead she’s getting tangled up in a big, sticky web of misfortune.

About the Mc:

A high school student. She used to live in France as a kid, where she was best friends with Adrien and Chloe (I know this sounds a bit cliche just bare with me). At some point, she had to move away to another country as a kid but at the start of the fic, she’s moving back to Paris, France and is enrolling to the school there.

Personality-wise: tries to be kind to others but stress does sometimes get the better of her; book-smart but not very street-smart; warm and friendly when you talk to her but never approaches you on her own, etc. Overall, kind and friendly but also shy and struggles with self-esteem. The biggest obstacle for the Mc is really herself-- her own fears and anxieties. Although she desperately tries not to, and goes through most of the day not dwelling on it, there are certain times during the day where she does reflect on her own self-worth as a person and agonizes over her interactions with people that day. She worries about whether she irritates people, whether they’re secretly annoyed by her shyness and slight social anxiety, how unbefit she is to be a superhero, etc. But when her classmate smiles at her and warmly greets her, she smiles back and for that moment, the fear disappears. It’s a mix of accepting who she is, but also doubting herself.

When the Mc became a superhero, she had a hard time accepting it. The Mc was initially very hesitant when it came to her responsibilities, and didn’t want to fight the villains due to her fear-- cowardice even. I imagined a scene where there’s a supervillain attacking the city and her kwami is encouraging her to fight but the Mc is just hiding away in an alleyway, completely petrified and refusing to move. Until eventually, after enough encouragement from her kwami, the Mc reluctantly tries to fight the supervillain and despite being very clumsy and bad at fighting, those kind superheroes-- a boy in a red suit with black spots(Marion-- M!Marinette), and a girl in a black suit with cat ears(Adrianne-- F!Adrien)-- reassured her and offered to teach her. Throughout the fic, I wanted to make the Mc grow more confident in her abilities and slowly grow from a shy, scared, cowardly person to a brave, courageous superhero who despite still having underlying fear about the whole superhero business, she still steps up to fight and put her life on the line because she realizes that it’s her moral obligation as a superhero to protect the city and its citizens, and she refuses to let her fear and anxiety prevent her from doing the thing that gives her a new-found purpose.

“I… I’m scared. What if I mess up and cause more harm than help? What if I let the city down?…I didn’t ask for any of this. I hate fighting, I hate having people look to me for help, and I hate how I’m forced to do this! But I suppose, those people in danger… they also didn’t ask for any of this too, huh?” -- Mc

In terms of the Mc and love, I think she’d understand the obvious signs due to having watched too many rom-coms but aside from that, she has next to no experience with love. Probably wouldn’t know if someone was flirting with her tbh.

“It would be nice to make some friends. I just hope they won’t get annoyed with me-- no, it’ll be fine, it’ll be fine. Just smile and don’t be weird. There has to be someone in this class who’ll like me, right?” -- Mc

About the Mc-- Superhero:

Holder of a locket necklace that is inhabited by the spider miraculous-- Uttu. In order to activate, the Mc must say “Threads out”; to deactivate is “Threads in”. The Mc turns into a spider-themed superhero called White Spider (or Araignee Blanche?), who has the ability of impersonation. Her superhero weapon was originally going to be a tambourine which would have been absolutely perfect, but then I found out that Rose already had that weapon so instead the Mc uses a hula hoop, which she can use along with spiderwebs to do some real acrobatic stuff (aka spiderman shit).

Just like how Ladybug’s (now “Misterbug”) special ability is Lucky Charm and Chat Noir’s (now “Chat Noire”) is Cataclysm, the Mc’s special ability would be “Tarantella”-- basically the Mc performs the Italian Tarantella dance (which is why I wanted her to have the tambourine weapon because that’s the instrument they use!) in order to wrap a supervillain in webs, allowing her to transform into that villain. From then on, it’s up to the Mc to use the villain’s abilities to her advantage while also having to adjust to the villain’s foreign fighting style. This is not as easy as it sounds, and initially the Mc will struggle a lot with this ability because it does require a certain “fluidity” in order to quickly get accustomed to new abilities, fighting styles, movement, everything. Not just that, but it also requires time for her teammates to get accustomed to her ability as well because after all, it would be very confusing fighting a villain when your teammate also appears like a carbon-copy of that villain-- save for the locket necklace aka the Mc’s miraculous. To summarize, the Mc’s special ability allows her to impersonate anybody-- typically used for supervillain fights-- which includes their weapon, abilities, voice and appearance, etc.

“Okay, how do I use this parasol-- wait Chat Noire it’s me! It’s White Spi--!” -- Mc

I thought about whether to give the Mc a de-evilizing ability like Marinette (Marion) does and I think I will-- just hear me out. Spiderwebs are associated with dreamcatchers due to the whole “weaving” element and the purpose of a dreamcatcher is to “capture the bad dreams” while allowing the good dreams to pass on. Naturally, I thought about the Mc using her web spinning abilities to create a makeshift dreamcatcher out of her hula hoop to capture the akumas. However, I do think that the most the Mc would be able to do is just that-- capture the akumas, not actually purify like Marion because that’s not what dreamcatchers do! I actually imagined this scene in the fic where the Mc would continue to capture the akumas because Marion would be skipping superhero work for some reason(!) or whatever, and at some point, her web would be so full of captured akumas just wrapped up in the spiderweb, barely twitching, until she tries to capture a fourth or fifth akuma and the web just snaps and all the akumas fly free from the web. Imagine that, having a bunch of akumas flying around for Hawk Moth to use. Imagine the pure chaos that would create for the heroes lmao.

The Mc’s main color was going to be white-- like her superhero costume was going to be white with black spiderwebs-- because it was a color that hadn’t really been claimed by the other characters to my knowledge, and I thought it would fit in perfectly with Misterbug’s red and Chat Noire’s black colors.

“Alright, you can do this. Just believe in yourself and don’t freak out-- ack! Oh god, why me? Okay, okay, it’s just one villain. Here we go-- nope, nope, nope!” -- Mc

About the Spider Miraculous:

A fan-made miraculous I created just for this fic. I legit spent a solid night looking up all current miraculous so that I knew which animals were taken, and then come up with an original one.

The spider miraculous Kwami is named Uttu-- inspired by the Sumerian goddess with the same name-- and she resides in the locket necklace. Personality-wise, Uttu was going to be more of a motherly figure to the Mc, very patient and wise. When the Mc’s anxiety takes over, and she becomes too petrified to fight the supervillains (when she was still new to the whole thing), Uttu was going to be the one to calm her down, reassure her, and encourage her. She would also try her best to look after the Mc, since she’s the only spider miraculous holder that doesn’t abuse her powers for evil/petty reasons. Uttu does secretly contain a mischievous, and malicious side to her but it only comes out occasionally-- a few moments of good-hearted mischief with the Mc, and a few moments where she secretly harbors malice for her past, irresponsible holders. Part of me thinks that Uttu lowkey resents Master Fu for handing her miraculous out willy-nilly without any consideration for her. Likewise, overtime Uttu would grow to despise Marion and Tikki once she notices the toxic and unhealthy behavior(!) Marion exhibits around her holder, Mc.

“I remember my past holders, and how irresponsible, petty, and selfish they were. I trusted Fu, I really did. But to put me in the hands of people like them… but you’re different. You fear my miraculous, yes that is true. However the reason that you are afraid, is because you understand the weight of the responsibility you hold. My power is not some plaything, and protecting this city is not some mere game-- you understand that. You are worthy, and for as long as you are my holder, I will always lend you my power, and protect you.” -- Uttu

About the Genderbend Aspects:

When I was initially brainstorming this fic, I knew right away that I wanted a female interest along with the male interest. What can I say, it’s more fun that way lmao. However this raises the question-- if I wanted a male and female interest then why genderbend the characters in the first place? Here’s why:

Even though I’m not caught up at all, I have seen a few analytical videos about Miraculous and something that caught my eye was Marinette. Or rather, the way that the show writes off Marinette’s creepy, borderline stalker behavior as “cute” and “funny”. Now take this all of this with a grain of salt. After reading a bit more about Marinette and watching the clips that showed her problematic behavior I was like “okay yeah I see what they mean”, but it also gave me writing inspiration. I immediately thought about Marinette as an unhinged yandere, just going all-in on her obsessive and stalker tendencies. But then I thought, “hmm, what if the reason some people don’t see her behavior as that bad is because she’s a girl?” Which gave me the idea: what if Marinette was genderbent? It’s like that one thing-- if you swap the genders of people and the behavior/action seems bad, then it is bad regardless of gender (ex. when a woman ab*ses a man vs when a man ab*ses a woman). Once you swap Marinette’s gender, the “cutesy” problematic behavior that the show brushes off suddenly seems really bad, and genuinely creepy and unhinged. So naturally, I preferred this Marinette (Marion) for entertainment purposes, and I really wanted to highlight these toxic and unhealthy traits. (I don’t condone this behavior whatsoever, I just think it makes some really good reading material) And since Marinette was going to be genderbent, I thought it would be fun to genderbend Adrien as well, to have that female interest to satisfy the gay in me. After all, with all of my works, I write for myself so I don’t really give a shit if others don’t like it.

It’s more fun that way.

Because I wanted to lmfao.

About Marinette:

Instead of Marinette, this genderbent version of herself was going to be called “Marion”. Likewise, I don’t know for sure what his superhero name would be. Instead of Ladybug, it would probably be “Misterbug” or something even though that was Adrien’s superhero name that one time he used the ladybug miraculous lmao.

According to my notes, I had two options lined up for Marion’s character:

Marion will be in “love” with Adrianne for the first part of the fic. He’ll act the way Marinette does in the show-- creepy but innocent-looking. Eventually, the Mc will do nice stuff that makes Marion obsess over her instead and craziness ensues.

Marion is in love with Mc from the beginning of the fic, due to Mc being the one to do the umbrella scene instead of Adrianne. So right from the get-go, Marion does creepy actions but looks so innocent while doing so (and it’s very subtle) that nobody bats an eye, even the Mc. Craziness still ensues.

Marion doesn’t exactly “love”, but rather he obsesses just like Marinette from the show. He becomes obsessed with the idea of something, and he idealizes it to the point where it is severely disjointed from reality. And the real kicker is that he believes that this behavior is normal-- whether it is due to genuine naivety or him subconsciously trying to justify his actions.

“What? I’m not stalking her-- I know the schedules of all my friends so it’s fine! …Why are you looking at me like that?” -- Marion

Unhealthy behavior aside, Marion is insecure deep down, and before “falling in love” he should first learn to love himself. Not just that, but Marion does feel immense pressure and stress under the weight of being the guardian of the miraculous. So when you add Mc to the equation-- someone kind who tries to help Marion love himself and share the burden of guardianship with him…!

“You really mean that? You’ll always be there for me? That makes me so happy… I hope you’ll always be my partner. Even if Chat Noire leaves us, even if we’re against the entire world-- as long as you’re here with me, I’ll fight anything. You’re the only one I need, and I hope that someday… I’ll be the only one you need too.” -- Misterbug

Back to Marion’s unhealthy behavior, he would obsess over the Mc. Stalking her, getting jealous, keeping track of her personal plans, would probably break into her home and abuse his powers when it comes to her. But he would try to keep these actions as subtle as possible, as to not arouse suspicion. Would probably even occasionally abandon superhero work just to check up on Mc and panic when he can’t find her. In short, Marion in love with Mc would just be an unhinged yandere who’s main traits are his obsessive, stalking, deceiving, controlling, and jealous behavior, and his love is smothering-- almost suffocating-- for the Mc. When he notices Adrianne starting to act more protective of the Mc-- around him of all people as though he’s the threat-- that irritates Marion. When Marion realizes that the love Adrianne holds for Mc goes beyond platonic and enters romantic (wouldn’t think that Adrianne would be bi/gay for Mc), that’s when all hell breaks loose. From then on, just constant attempts to sabotage Adrianne and keep Mc to himself. Ladybug boy be wack.

“I noticed you’re spending a lot more time with Adrianne lately. You know, she probably just feels bad for you. What, you didn’t notice? That’s okay, you’ll always have me. I do really like you, you know. And seeing you with Adrianne, it makes me feel so… ah, don’t worry about it! You have nothing to worry about.” -- Marion

About Adrien:

Instead of Adrien, this genderbent version of himself was going to be called “Adrianne”. Instead of Chat Noir for her superhero name, it would probably be “Chat Noire”, that’s literally it lmfao.

In this fic, Adrianne was childhood friends with Mc and Chloe. They met as little kids, with Mc being middle-class compared to the two. In fact, she met them by complete accident. But they all bonded and became friends. After Mc moves away, this causes Adrianne to become saddened by her departure while Chloe angrily dismisses her, while being hurt deep inside-- abandonment issues for both of them? By this point, Adrianne’s only friend before starting high school is Chloe. Adrianne knows that Chloe isn’t perfect, but she’s oblivious to the extent of her cruelty. Despite being friends with her since childhood, Adrianne isn’t very interested in Chloe’s affection. She’s one of the very few people who is on friendly terms with Chloe despite her spoiled attitude, even in front of others because of something I wanted to expand upon in this fic-- their parental issues.

Adrianne’s daddy issues and Chloe’s mommy issues. Both of them are neglected by their respective parent, trying to do what they can to make them proud. But they never receive that approval/attention and it hurts them deeply. Adrianne and Chloe can bond over this. They have and will continue to do so.

“Father doesn’t like me spending a lot time with other people, he says they’re a bad influence on me… but that’s not true! You, Nina, and Chloe, you all care about me, and help me! I wouldn’t want to lose you guys ever!” -- Adrianne

Adrianne has a desire to be loved, which makes her vulnerable. Of course this could stem back to Gabriel not really showing any love, her dislike of being alone, on top of her not being able to make contact with a lot of people, so she would try to seek out love like with Misterbug. To reference Cyrus the Great’s video, the reason why Adrien (or Adrianne here) is in love with Ladybug (Misterbug) is because Misterbug’s the only true friend she has, Adrianne finally has a healthy relationship. And yet time after time, Misterbug rejects her and although she tries to hide it, it does slowly chip away at her. I think Adrianne has to put on this facade that she’s happy and fine with how things are when in reality, she just wants to be free-- to have the freedom to make her own decisions. But most importantly, she wants to connect with other people. To be with the people she wants to be-- with her friends-- and to experience a reciprocated love.

So when the Mc tries to interact with her, and rebuild their friendship from when they were children, it would definitely mean something. Yes, Adrianne is still upset and hurt from when Mc abandoned(!) her as kids but as time goes on, it starts to matter less and less. If the Mc supports Adrianne and becomes someone who she can let down her “perfect” facade and allow herself to be vulnerable with, then that would mean so much to Adrianne. Most people view her as someone perfect-- they idealize her while ignoring her flaws. But the Mc sees through that and is accepting of everything that Adrianne is. Adrianne struggles, she struggles with connecting to Gabriel for example, and she struggles with dealing with her emotions due to being emotionally abused. But Mc is someone who she can be free with, and soon enough bits of Chat Noire, who’s basically just a suppressed version of Adrianne, starts to leak through.

“How did you know that I wasn’t happy? Guess I’m that obvious to you, huh? It’s just that-- everybody always thinks that I’m this perfect girl but I’m not. And for some reason, whenever I do struggle with something, it’s like I’m disappointing them. Like it’s my fault that I’m not good enough. Huh? What do you mean it’s not my fault? You really mean that? Wow… Finally, after all these years, I don’t have to worry anymore. Thank you.” -- Adrianne

At some point, Adrianne will feel something for Mc. It slowly grows from a platonic type of love to a more romantic kind. Even though they’re both girls, it doesn’t matter. It feels right, and that’s what is important. Adrianne is very protective of Mc, especially against a certain ladybug-themed superhero who’s acting more strange towards her. The Mc’s safety and happiness is Adrianne’s highest priority. Even though she has unhealthy ways of dealing with her emotions, especially when it comes to Mc and love, Adrianne is more stable and less unhinged than Marion. Despite this, she’ll still feel jealous when she sees Mc acting too friendly to another person, which makes her feel insecure, and she lowkey dislikes it when White Spider (Mc) rejects her affections. Side note, Adrianne as Chat Noire probably has her own "m'lady" equivalent nickname for White Spider. Maybe "my cherie" or something?? Idk man. In summary, Adrianne’s love for Mc is her being overprotective-- sacrificial even-- over the Mc, being a bit jealous, and when shit hits the fan, she becomes more willing to temporarily put her morals aside to do what is necessary to protect Mc. She’d also crave reciprocated affection and attention from the Mc too (and affirmations that this time, she won't leave her side).

“As long as I can be beside you, and see your smile, then that’s enough for me. You’ve brought me so much light-- you’re the key to my gilded cage and I am eternally grateful to be your friend. I’ll always protect you from all harm, I promise. We’re partners after all! Me and you, the cat and the spider! Maybe one day, we can finally remove our masks and truly be with each other…!” -- Chat Noire

About the Other Characters:

To make things more fun and chaotic for me, I decided to genderbend other characters too. So:

Alya—> Alan

Nino—> Nina

Chloe—> Cole/Clo (??? no idea if she’s going to be genderbent tho, tbd)

Lila—> Lilo (no clue, tbd)

Rose—> Ross

Juleka—> Julien (dang it Juleka why you have a difficult name to bend??)

Luka—> Luka (no clue, tbd)

Kagami—> Kagami (no clue, tbd)

I didn’t decide on anything for Luka or Kagami, since there’s some interesting outcomes that could emerge with either option, and also I’ve literally never seen an episode with them *clown emoji*.

Actually I did watch some clips and analysis summaries about Luka dating Marinette so one idea I had was: what if at some point Mc and Luka begin dating? Like they date, and it’s actually a healthy relationship because the Mc is caring and considerate of him, like she understands the faint abandonment issues Luka has with his dad and she tries to be there for him. Until Marion and Adrianne catch wind of this and something bad(!) happens. Additionally, Luka and Marion could have a history together where they dated, but then it becomes kinda neglectful and full of lies on Marion's part and that’s where the Mc steps up to offer some advice. No idea about what to do with Kagami though. *shrug*

“It’s okay Luka. I’m here for you.” -- Mc

I also don’t know whether to genderbend Chloe or not, or Gabriel too. Probably wouldn’t change much tbh.

“Buzz off! I don’t want to hear it, got that?! We’re not friends anymore! You should have just stayed back home…” -- Chloe

About the Plot:

Alright, here’s what y’all are probably waiting for. This fic was going to be a lot darker than the original show, with psychological and sociological elements that I like to incorporate into my fics, and all characters would be aged up to around 17-18.

The biggest issue I’ve always had with this fic was the plot. Part of the reason has to do with the show itself, how there isn’t really a main plot. Every episode is just a different supervillain and Hawk Moth failing to get the miraculouses and that’s it lmao. So yeah, kinda hard to create an overarching plot for this, at least for me. But still, here’s an attempt:

The Mc would return to Paris and get adjusted to life and school there. Shortly after, she receives the Spider miraculous and becomes a (reluctant) superhero. Mc meets Misterbug and Chat Noire, looking up to them as mentor figures. Meanwhile as a student, Mc tries to reconnect with Adrianne and Chloe, partially due to them being childhood friends and the other part being her sensing the sadness in Adrianne.

“Um, hello! You’re Adrianne, right? Do you remember me…?” -- Mc

From then on, it’s quite simple. Mc as a student is just trying to befriend Adrianne and Chloe, Chloe lowkey bullies her because resentment, and Mc gets adjusted to life in France again. Mc as a superhero is trying to get more proficient at fighting supervillains, while her relationship with Misterbug and Chat Noire continues to grow. From Adrianne’s perspective, she feels intrigued by Mc’s attempt to reach out to her, and decides to reciprocate the friendship since she sees no harm in it. From Marion’s perspective, it depends on which option I choose for him. Either he’s obsessed with Adrianne and sees Mc trying to befriend her as an annoyance which may nor may not involve retribution, or he’s already obsessed with Mc and becomes jealous of Adrianne for stealing her attention, and hates Chloe for bullying Mc, which also may or may not involve retribution.

If Marion is obsessed with Adrianne initially: it would be very interesting to see him go against Mc. I can imagine Marion being irritated by Mc suddenly trying to befriend Adrianne, while simultaneously hating Chloe for stealing Adrianne’s attention. When Marion’s obsession goes too far, maybe Mc and Chloe would put their differences aside and work together to help Adrianne. It would be very interesting interactions, especially between Mc and Chloe because Chloe has reasons to treat Mc the way she does-- she views Mc leaving her as a betrayal, an abandonment. Mc could realize that, and apologize for that, since she acknowledges that it was her fault for ignoring how her departure affected her childhood friends.

“I hate you, but I hate Marion more. So I guess I’ll help you deal with Marion-- but I’m only doing this for Adrianne okay? So don’t get the wrong idea! …I just don’t want anything bad to happen to her.” -- Chloe

"Is something wrong? If you two don't have anything to say, then if you'll excuse me, I have somewhere very important to be." -- Marion

Lila would then get introduced to the fic and just reck shit up. If I wanted to give the Mc some convoluted connection to her, I would write that Mc as a kid moved to Italy and met Lila there (and that’s where she lived for most of her life) and idk she did something that made Lila pissed and now Lila wants vengeance or whatever. Either that, or they don’t know each other and being transfer students is the only thing they have in common. But then Mc does something that pisses Lila off (maybe exposing her lies?) and thus she becomes her enemy. Maybe Mc sees Lila lying to Adrianne or something and tells her off which Lila does not appreciate, and seeing Adrianne agree with Mc embarrasses her. Or idk, I don’t remember this Lila shit. It is then that Marion’s unhingedness starts to truly shine through, and Adrianne starts to view Mc as a friend.

After the Lila fiasco, things continue. Mc and Adrianne are now proper friends, Mc and Marion also start to hang out too. Also at some point, Chloe finally comes to terms with her feelings about Mc and finally manages to forgive Mc for leaving her, and apologize for treating her badly. Basically Mc is making friends. Mc, Misterbug, and Chat Noire are also becoming a strong team. Marion/Misterbug becoming more obsessed and unhinged (and jealous of either Adrianne or Mc depending on option), while Adrianne/Chat Noire likes Mc and starts to feel something stronger grow.

“It’s funny Plagg. I really like her, I do! Even though we’re friends, why do I still feel something else for her? It’s like there’s this weird feeling, and I can’t control it… Maybe this pounding in my chest-- could it be happiness?” -- Adrianne

And then Luka and Kagami get introduced. I think it would be really interesting to have that little plotline of Mc and Luka dating, after enough bonding of course. Maybe Marion and Luka dated prior to this (along with Adrianne and Kagami?) as some sort of mind game over the Mc. Anyway, showing a genuinely healthy relationship would really stand out against the unhealthy behavior and unhingedness (of Marion mainly). Personally for me, I like to add some ‘normalcy’ to my fics to contrast against the unhinged elements-- makes the unhealthy parts more powerful imo. But since happy endings don’t exist in my fics (most of them lmao), something bad would happen to Luka. Probably caused by Marion. Although Adrianne probably did something a bit fucked up too-- courtesy of a bit of moral degradation. But anyway yeah it would just create a lot of chaos and if Marion was obsessed with Adrianne initially: this is probably when he would switch obsessions, from Adrianne to Mc. For Adrianne, this is when she would realize that the strange feeling she feels is love, and when she sees the Mc with Luka, it creates a new, ugly feeling within her-- jealousy. Jealousy, which leads to rather unsavory actions. Once Luka is “dealt with” that’s when shit hits the fan.

“H-how could this happen? Luka… W-who would do this to you? I swear, I’ll find out who did this. Someone who would do something this cruel and vile… Luka, tell me, does vengeance count as a heroic action?” -- Mc

A saddened and depressed Mc is not the most stable Mc. She’s always tired, stressed-out, anxious, and snaps at people out of frustration. She tries to apologize for her hurtful actions, but it’s not always accepted and the guilt adds to the weight on her shoulders. But luckily for her, there’s two people to pick up the pieces: Marion and Adrianne. Silently listening to her woes and troubles. At this point, Marion and Adrianne realize the other’s feelings for the Mc. From now on, it’s just a constant fight for her love. Adrianne tries to keep Mc away from Marion, while Marion tries to keep Mc close to him. I don’t know if Misterbug and Chat Noire would know each other’s true identity-- probably? It would definitely spice things up and add to the chaos. But of course, Mc wouldn’t know their true identities. Or maybe eventually she would? *shrug*

“There, there, it’s okay. I got you. Why don’t you tell me what’s on your mind? If there’s anything I can do to help you, anything at all, just tell me and I’ll do it. If it’s revenge that you want, then allow me to dirty my hands for you.” -- Misterbug

“Are you alright? You look like you haven’t slept in days… Why don’t you go take a nap? Don’t worry, I’ll make sure the teacher doesn’t know. Me? Oh I’m fine-- I’m more worried about you! Listen… Maybe you should take tomorrow off. I’m serious, don’t go to school tomorrow.” -- Adrianne

Whilst all of this is happening, Mc is secretly trying to figure out what happened to Luka-- if I chose to go through with his plotline. Uttu is also there, giving advice to the Mc. Uttu senses the corrupt desires of Marion and Adrianne (well more Marion tbh) and voices her worries to Mc who takes them to heart.

“Be wary, be clever, be brave. No matter what, do not let yourself become prey to the demons hiding in daylight. Mind my words, or else they will wrap you up in their web and never let you go.” -- Uttu.

I wonder if at this point, Marion and Adrianne would confess their feelings to really make things chaotic now. Imagine it, Marion, or Misterbug, takes Mc to someplace private. He reveals his true identity-- that he’s Marion-- and confesses his eternal love to her. Mc is just so shocked, while Marion grows ever more desperate for an answer-- for a sign that she reciprocates his feelings-- anything. But when she declines, Marion could swear that he feels his heart break right then and there. He’s so heartbroken that he barely even notices Mc leaving him, a conflicted expression on her face. Tikki asks him what’s wrong. Marion ignores her. His unhealthy, toxic behavior is now blatant, and obvious. Almost as though he wants the Mc to notice him-- notice what she’s done to him…

“I love you. There, I said it! I love you, I really do! I’ve been watching you, and I’ve seen how kind and brave you are-- more than any other person I know. You’ve always been so gentle and caring to me that I don’t want to lose you, ever. I want you by my side, whether we’re fighting bad guys together or we’re studying at school. So? Do you… accept? …Oh. Oh. Did I do something wrong? No, of course not! So why…? Are you really just going to leave me like that? …No, I won't allow it. I will make you mine, one way or another.” -- Marion

I feel like Mc still hasn’t moved on from Luka, and she doesn’t feel that way for Marion anyway due to how Marion treated her in the past and also how suspicious his behavior is around her. Mc runs somewhere, then bumps into Adrianne who comforts her. Mc lets herself be held by Adrianne, relieved that there’s someone she can depend on. Adrianne comforts her, tells her kind, assuring words… which slowly changes into her telling Mc how much she means to her. Mc slowly realizes what’s going on, and is too late to stop it. Adrianne reveals that she’s Chat Noire, and after proving it with such a happy, beautiful smile on her face, Adrianne confesses her romantic love to Mc. Mc, too shocked and overwhelmed, also tearfully refuses and runs away.

“Shh, that’s okay. Just rest, okay? You’ve been through so many things, and you’ve had to endure it all while dealing with us too. It’s okay, you don’t have to take on that burden alone anymore. I got you. You’re just so strong, and kind, and selfless… it’s some of the many things I like about you. Ever since you’ve entered my life all those years ago, you’ve brought me so much happiness. Even now, after you left me, that feeling hasn’t gone away. Instead, it grew so much that it took me a while to realize what it is now. I guess what I’m trying to say is, I love you.” -- Adrianne

Anyway a bunch of crazy shit happens, Marion acts even more unhinged and creepy as fuck while Adrianne also starts to lose herself. Seeing Mc run away from her kinda resonates with her fear of being alone + abandonment issues so Adrianne does start to get unhinged too. Despite this, she still tries her best to protect Mc first and foremost even though Mc’s kinda on-edge about everything now. Wait I forgot to say what Hawk Moth is doing while all this shit is happening. Probably just doing what he always does, akumatizing people and yada yada. I wonder if the Mc would get akumatized too, I mean she is going through a lot of negative emotions especially after something bad happens to Luka. Also, I wonder if Gabriel would notice the changes in his daughter, like how Adrianne is spending more and more time with Mc. Honestly I don’t know what butterfly man is doing lmao.

The ending of the fic would have at least three endings: an ending with Marion; an ending with Adrianne; and an ending for the Mc. No idea what the big, epic climax would be-- another reason why I couldn’t write this fic-- but it would probably be very dramatic and edgy. Hawk Moth would probably akumatize one of the people in each ending too. One last thing, I think at this point, Mc would try to use her miraculous (with Uttu’s urgent pleas) to impersonate someone else just so she can be safe. But of course, they would figure out that it’s her.

“Run. Run, my dear. Search for a sanctuary where they can’t find you and no matter what, don’t look back. Do you understand? Good, now run!” -- Uttu

Marion’s ending would just literally be him keeping the Mc to himself and just obsess over her and suffocate her with his love while half of Paris is in shambles and Adrianne probably dies or something lmfao. Probably gets to keep his ladybug miraculous too while he takes away the Mc’s spider miraculous, also idk who gets akumatized in this ending.

“Finally, I have you all to myself. No one will ever be able to take you away from me now, no one. I love you so much, now we’ll be together forever. Forever, and ever, and ever, all mine.” -- Marion

Adrianne’s ending is just her dragging Mc with her to get away from an akumatized Marion and then an epic fight happens between her and Marion. Marion probably dies or something idk because I like tragedy (or maybe still alive but arrested? He gets to watch the love of his life pair up with his now arch-nemesis which has gotta sting), but Adrianne is also kinda injured too. Mc is all like omg you risked your life to save me and Adrianne is just happy she’s fine. After all the dramatic stuff and crying, Mc and Adrianne get together, and I hope Adrianne gets help because she’s not good with dealing with her emotions. Maybe Mc will encourage her and support her *shrug*. Master Fu would probably want their miraculouses back, but upon discovering that Marion’s gone and there needs to be the new guardian, they kinda become the new ones or something idk.

“I-I’m so glad… That you’re f-finally safe. Oh, please don’t cry for me. I-I’m okay… I love you. I will always love you, there will never be anyone else that could even come close to you. So please don’t cry for me. I’m happy that at least in this lifetime… I'm not alone anymore.” -- Adrianne

Mc’s ending is her rejecting both Marion and Adrianne (Marion’s too crazy, Adrianne will only get hurt). Some big epic fight probably plays out, a lot of unhinged stuff and dramatic yelling for the Mc maybe. Hawk Moth probably causes more chaos, maybe he akumatizes both Marion and Adrianne who knows? At the end, I don’t really know what would happen to Marion and Adrianne. No matter what happens, Marion and Adrianne lose their miraculous, and idk what else would happen to them. Mc either tries to get therapy from all the shit that’s happened and tries to live a happy life or if Luka is still alive, maybe they get back together???? Idk, you can really tell how much thought I put into these endings lmfao.

“So you were the one who hurt Luka… did you really expect me to forgive you after everything you’ve done? Marion, you need help. A lot of it. And Adrianne… I’m sorry but I also can’t give you what you want. You took part in what happened to Luka and I can’t accept you for that. I still care about you but… I don’t like you in that way. I hope both of you find happiness in your lives, I truly do. Goodbye, and I’m sorry.” -- Mc

I don’t know why, but part of me prefers the “Marion obsessed with Adrianne first” option. Firstly, it would be refreshing to read a fic where Marinette actually initially dislikes the Mc instead of immediately wanting to become her friend (not that it’s bad or anything). Secondly, I think it would be interesting as the reader to see how Marion’s obsession can affect others. Imagine being the enemy of an obsessed yandere. They try to sabotage you, keep you away from the one they love, turn people against you, etc. All the while pretending to be your acquaintance, smiling at you while the thoughts in their mind paints a more sinister picture. Scary, isn’t it? Mc can sense some darkness lurking underneath Marion’s friendly smile, but it’s only when too many awful coincidences match up, and she catches a glance of his darkened gaze that she realizes that it’s all on purpose. He’s trying to take her out. And all just because she’s trying to get close to Adrianne? All the more reason to get closer to her then.

But what happens when Marion’s obsession for Adrianne fades away, and instead shifts itself over to the Mc? I think it would be even more frightening because you the reader knows the things that Marion does for the one he loves. Therefore, you know just how far he’s willing to go. You know the full extent of his obsession and how it puts others in danger. The Mc knows this too, but she doesn’t know that now he’s doing it for her. She just thinks that it’s nice that Marion no longer considers her a threat, that they’re finally becoming friends, nothing more. But Adrianne knows. When she realizes that Marion, who was once obsessed with her, is now focusing his obsession onto the Mc? That scares her. Now she’s the enemy, but more importantly, now she needs to protect the Mc. A Marion who’s obsessed with Mc from the start is cool, but I think this one is more interesting just because it offers a lot more different dynamics especially between Mc and Marion. But that’s just me. *shrug*

Imagine if Marion actually temporarily teamed up with Hawk Moth, with their obsessions for their loved ones being the only thing they have in common. Just an interesting thought.

What if there was another Lila side plot where she figures out that Mc is White Spider (Tarantella is an Italian dance-- Lila is Italian, probably thought it was strange that Mc was able to dance the same dance that a superhero does) and then probably blackmails Mc. Then, when someone close to Mc (Marion/Adrianne/Luka??) tries to confront Lila, Lila tells them the truth about Mc’s identity and they’re like omg I can’t believe it, and now they know the Mc’s secret. Just a thought.

I kinda wish I had the energy to properly write this fic because it would slap so much but: I don’t have the time to get caught up to the show; there’s just too many possibilities and options for this fic that I’m too ‘paralyzed by choice’ to really decide on anything; I heard the fandom’s kinda toxic and I ain’t interested in that shit; this fic would probably be a good 500 pages tbh and that’s too much for me lmfao.

Sorry if this was a bit hard to read/understand, it was kinda hard for me to articulate all this chaos so sorry about that.

Note: if you were one of the the people who read my "love rival." In wattpad, this will basically be the whole plot. The reason I deleted it because I lost motivation :p (Also if some of my information is inaccurate I apologize.)

You, Adrien and Luka are love rivals. You three loved Marinette dupain-cheng. What was the reason you three loved her? Well for you, You loved her because she was the only who cared for you. Your parents didn't love nor care for you, the only reason you have friends because they wanted popularity. They didn't care if you almost died or died.

When you guys met you were fighting this kid and he put up a good fight causing you to get badly injured, then she came looking angelic and beautiful after she noticed you being injured she helped you even though you refused after that she became your friend and you couldn't stop thinking of her.

Luka loved Marinette because of their mutual admiration for their work and care for each other. Since they worked together in kitty section (alongside Adrien.) Luka's love for Marinette grew. He said that she is and I quote: "that she is an extraordinary girl, clear as a music note, sincere as melody, and the song that he's been hearing ever since he first met her." Wow, cute I guess.

Adrien falls in love with Marinette because he sees the resourceful and intelligent person that she is. At least that's the reason why he loves her in oblivio. He sees Marinette as a 'Friend.' He was in denial that he loves Marinette so he keeps lying to himself.

Okay I'm done with the introduction. It was already 5:00 pm, the time where you guys meet after school. You were at the staircase waiting for her. Marinette was walking Alya and of course they were talking about Adrien, then Marinette saw you at the staircase she smiled and ran towards you. "M/N!" She exclaimed and hugged you.

You smiled at her. "Good afternoon Mari, how was school?" You asked her. "It was good but I was late. Again." She said and you laughed.

Adrien saw all this happen and he subconsciously clenched his fist. Who were you? Why were you so close with Marinette? "Hey bro you okay?" Nino asked the blond. "I'm okay, why do you ask?" Adrien asked Nino. "I don't know dude but why do you seem jealous?" The boy replied. "Jealous?" Adrien said in a confused tone while looking at you two smiling.

"Hey M/N, you like music right?" Marinette asked you. "Of course I do, Who doesn't like music?" You replied. Marinette laughed and nodded. "Well I have a friend that also likes music. Oh and he plays the guitar!" Marinette mentioned. Now you were hooked, but then you noticed she said 'He'. "He?" You questioned her. "Don't worry I know you'll like him!" That sentence made you raise your brow.

Marinette led you to a boat. You were about to say something until you saw a familiar blue haired boy, When you finally got a clear look at the boy you gasped. "Luka?!" "M/N?" Both of you said simultaneously. "Oh so you both know each other?" Marinette said, trying to avoid the awkward situation. "Of course we do! He's my classmate!" You exclaimed. "And he's your friend?" You whispered to her. Marinette elbowed you, "Oh don't be like that M/N!" She scolded you.

She then went on how you guys could be good friends, You obviously doubted that you two would be friends. After she was done scolding you she went to her friends and talked to them. You had no choice but to sit next to Luka.

"I know you like her." Luka said out of nowhere. "So? Do you like her?" Luka nodded and you sighed in response. "You know what? Let's give this 'Friend' thing a try." You added. Luka agreed. So both of you talked about school and it's bad things and good things. Despite you guys acting nice to each other Luka couldn't help but dislike you a bit. I mean wouldn't you hate it when your classmate likes your crush?

A FEW DAYS LATER

After like a week you and Luka basically fought for Marinette's love and attention. Sadly Marinette being the dense person she is she didn't notice it. She thought you guys were actually friends. Humorous really. If only she knew how much you guys hated each other's guts. (Well Luka didn't hate you that much, cause he's too nice for that.)

You and Luka went to class together since you guys have the same schedule and classes (Much to your dismay.) Did I mention you guys are seatmates? Looks like fate hated you that much.

A few minutes later the teacher finally arrived. "Good Afternoon class!" The teacher greeted. "Good Afternoon, Teacher Karen." All of you greeted the teacher with no emotion whatsoever. "Okay today we'll be talking about-" Then the teacher started teaching and you guys wrote notes.

After 30 minutes the teacher was done explaining, She asked you all if you guys understood. You all said yes. "Since you guys understood the lesson, I want you guys to make a project about this lesson and guys will do this with a partner of course! Any questions?" The teacher said, You raised your hand. "Yes, M/N?"

"Can we use our phones to research?" You asked her. "Yes, you can use phones or any device for research. Anything else?" She replied. "Nope, That's it and thank you for answering my question Ms. Karen." You said and sat down. "You're always welcome, M/N! Okay I'll be choosing your partners."

She then went on saying names. "Lastly M/N L/N and Luka Couffaine." After she said that you sighed. Luka had no reaction. "Okay start now! Also the deadline will be on Monday." The teacher added.

Then all of you went to work, you took out your headset and placed it on your ears. "What are you doing?" Luka asked you. "I'm about to listen to music?" You said and looked at him weirdly. "Why?" Luka asked again, gosh he sounded really annoying right now.

"So I don't listen to your voice." You remarked. "My, you're rude." Luka said with a smirk, you rolled your eyes as a response. You took off your headset and placed it back in your backpack and started working on the project.

A few minutes while doing the project you noticed Luka was struggling then walked towards him to help him. You looked at what he was doing. "You're doing the wrong thing." You stated. Luka raised his brow, he was confused. You then started telling what he was doing wrong. "Oh, So that's why I was wrong. Thank you." Luka thanked you with a smile. "You're welcome." You replied then went back to your work, while he wasn't looking you smiled at him. 'He's cute.'

AFTER A FEW HOURS

You guys had music class today but the thing was that it was optional and you get to choose what instrument you want to play. Usually people with different instruments have their own class, for example you chose piano so the class you attend is filled with people who also play the piano.

But it was Friday so all of the classes gather and practice on their own, since you and Luka have no friends at the school you guys went to your seats and Luka decided to practice together.

You and Luka went to your seats and performed 'Can't help falling in love with you.' After performing, you guys high-fived each other. You then started complimenting him. You didn't notice that he was blushing the whole time.

"Hey, M/N. Why did you choose the piano?" Luka asked you. "Well, at first I wanted to choose the guitar but my friend wanted me to be in the same class with them so I agreed despite how much I wanted to play the guitar. But hey it was worth it though at least I learned something." You told him then smiled at him.

"Do you want me to teach you how to play it?" Luka offered you. "Um, Sure." You took his offer and sat next to him while he was teaching you. He can't help but admire you. You were so majestic, divine, perfect and handsome. Luka can't help but fall in love with you feel comfortable with you. You gave off such a heavenly vibe. After that you and Luka become friends.

Time skip

You were at home watching Kitty section. In your opinion the lyrics and the band name made you cringe but the music was amazing. Of course you wouldn't tell Luka your opinion because you love him way too much. While you were watching you noticed a blond hair boy that's weird you knew everyone in the band but him. Who was he?

You decided to take a picture of the boy and sent it to Luka.

After a few minutes, You went to Luka's house aka the boat. You were finally at your destination then you saw the blond boy, Adrien Agreste. You walked towards Adrien. "Good Afternoon, Agreste." You greeted him while shaking his hand. "Oh, You can just call me Adrien and what's your name?" Adrien replied.

"Oh excuse my manners, My name is M/N L/N." You said with a fake smile, unconsciously gripping his hand with jealousy surrounding you. "Um it's okay can you please stop gripping my hand?" Adrien said with a scared tone.

"Oh, I'm sorry I can't control my strength sometimes." You stated with a fake smile and let go his of hand. Then Marinette walked towards both of you. "Now that the introductions are done, lets start practicing shall we?" Marinette said.

Both of you nodded and Adrien went to where he plays his piano likewise with others. You and Marinette sat in front of them. "1, 2, 3 go!" Marinette yelled. Then the music started.

After a few hours. "Today was great everybody! Let's practice tomorrow again!" Marinette exclaimed. "Um, About that I can't be present tomorrow because I'll be busy." Adrien said while scratching his neck, then a car honked. "Oh, that's my cue bye everybody!" Adrien said and ran towards his car while waving. You guys also waved goodbye to him too.

A few days later you and Adrien seemed like strangers. Luka and Marinette wanted both of you to get along so they decided on a plan to make you guys friends.

You were walking to your desk and sat beside Luka. "Hey, M/N after class I want you to meet me at the cafe near Marinette's school." Luka said, you nodded in response.

Meanwhile with Adrien he was walking to his desk and when he sat down he saw a note. He opened it and read it. "I want you to meet me after class at the cafe near our school, it's a coffee cafe. -Marinette dupain-Cheng 🌷💗🌸" after Adrien read it he looked at Marinette and Marinette awkwardly waved at him with a smile.

After class you went to the cafe Luka told you about. You went inside and sat at one of the tables, now you had to wait for Luka to come in. While waiting you saw Adrien come in, Adrien also saw you and he decided to sit beside you.

"Why are you here?" You asked Adrien. "Marinette told me she wanted me to meet her here. How about you?" Adrien responded. "Well Luka wanted me to meet him here." You said, then both of you heard a ding!

Both of you opened your phones to see that Luka/Marinette sent a message "Sorry, I can't go to the cafe because something urgent came at the last minute."

"Luka told me that he won't come here cause he's busy or something." You told Adrien. "Same here but with Marinette." Adrien said, then both of you hid your phones in your pockets/bags.

"Well since we're here, wanna talk?" You said. "What do you want to talk about?" Adrien asked. "Let's talk about our likes and dislikes." You offered. "Sure." Adrien said and he smiled.

You guys talked for hours both of you even forgot to order something. It was pretty fun, Adrien never saw you smile he only saw you have an-expressionless face but now you're smiling and laughing while you guys were having a conversation there was also a time you guys had a deep conversation but of course you brighten up the mood.

You guys didn't even notice that it was already night time. Then you heard an alarm. it seemed like it was from your phone. "Oh, Sorry I have to go now. See you la-" You were cut off by Adrien. "Before we both leave, can I get your phone number?" Adrien asked. You nodded and both of you exchanged phone numbers.

A few days later you and Adrien became good friends. Every weekend you and Adrien meet at the same cafe you guys became close. It was Saturday and you were waiting for Adrien. That's when you heard something unusual, You went outside to see what's happening. Then something sharp went to attack you that was until a black cat saved. "Gotcha!" Said the hero. "Hey there baby boy, Are you okay?" The hero in black asked you. "Y-You're that furry hero, right?" You stuttered, You never expected that hero would save you heck you never expected to meet a hero.

"F-Furry?" Cat noir stiffened. "You're a cat, Are you not?" You said. "I am a cat but not furry!" Cat noir replied, it was the first time someone ever called him a 'Furry' "Eh, cat, furry same thing." You said with no care.

You didn't notice that you were now at home, Before Cat noir left you grabbed his wrist. "How did you know I live here?" You asked him with a glare. "Well I saw you get out of your house while I was walking around." He said while scratching his neck. You seemed satisfied with his answer and let go of his hand.

After they were done fighting the Akuma, You went to Luka's house and talked to him about what happened. "Then we went to my house even though I never said what my address wa-" You said and you cut yourself when you saw Adrien. You waved at him, When Adrien finally was in Luka's house he sat beside you while panting. "Where have you been?" You asked the model. "Hiding from the Akumatized person." He said in a tired tone. "I noticed that Cat noir saved you what was he like?" Adrien asked you.

"Well he was funny, cute and hot at the same time he's like a person that you can befriend easily, but he gave off a bit of creep vibes." You said unaware that the hero you're talking about is right beside you. Adrien was blushing about the things you said about him but he was confused about the last thing you said. "What do you mean Creep vibes?" Adrien was confused by what you meant. "Eh, I'm too tired to explain." You said and shrugged.

Just about when Adrien was going to continue talking, Luka's eye was twitching when he witnessed the whole interaction between you two he started talking before Adrien kept talking. "What about Viperion?" Luka said and he sat beside you, also handing you your drink. "Gay as hell." You said and drank your drink that Luka give you. "Gay?"

After a week Luka regretted making you and Adrien friends he kept trying to shift your attention all to him but the blond keeps getting in his way. Likewise with Adrien. Anyways you three are in Luka's house once again. "Hey guys, Maybe we should have a sleepover in M/N's house considering his parents aren't home!" Adrien suggested the only reason he wanted to have a sleepover in your house to see your amazing room. And possibly make you his.

"How about in Luka's house?" You said while sweat dropping. "I can't because my mother won't allow it." You gasped at what Luka said. "Why not in M/N's house?" The blue haired boy asked. "Well my parents have hired a bunch of guards because they don't want anyone else in the house. hehe." You said and laughed awkwardly. "Oh, okay." The two boys sighed, but they wouldn't let that happen.

Night time. You were about to sleep until you heard a knock in your window. You stood up and brought a knife and a gun with you. You opened to see Luka and Adrien. You gasped and quickly opened the window. They went inside and sat at your bed. "What are you doing here? And how did you go past the guards?" You asked them. - This little sin-amon roll is the type to get jealous quick and won’t handle rejections well. He will be obsessed with you.

- How he becomes a yandere is after one of the many times Ladybug stood him up or rejected him. Your paths cross when he is not the superhero of Paris, but the model. He had been aimlessly walk the streets and entered one of the cafeterias nearby, originally he was headed to the Dupain-Cheng bakery, maybe to meet Marinette to talk about his feelings of hurt and maybe get some advice. But, seeing that closing hours were nearing, he opted for a small cafe around the area where he could be left with his thoughts alone. And you just happened to work part-time there.

- If Adrian recalled correctly, you were parallel classmates.

- You end up small talking and when you ask him how he is feeling, he slowly starts opening up. And you listen, ask him follow-up questions, and urge him to talk it out. Adrian feels heard and seen for the first time in a very long time. You brightened his world once more.

- But Adrian will be so scared of loving as he only knows hurt, but he won’t be able to help fall for you. He might be in denial at first and conflicted about his feelings for you, he will convince himself that his heart only belongs to his lady! However the more he sees you, the more he yearns to get closer to you. He can’t shake you off his mind and when he sees you getting along with others he feels his heart clench and tighten with envy. He wants to be the one to make you laugh like that, he should be the reason you are smiling.

- That’s when it hits him that he has to have you, he loves you.

- He wants nothing more than for you to return his affection, yet at the same time he is so afraid of approaching you as the women in his life always seem to avoid him (Kagami broke up with him and LB rejects him, marionette seems to be afraid of him etc) so he won’t dare to approach you like he usually would at first and will resort to admiring you from afar. He sees you as a belonging of his, the love of his life, the one you’ll marry; you just don’t know this yet.

- Adrien will frequently visit the cafe and when he sees that you seem to spend a lot of time working there he will assume you have financial problems. He will start regularly order coffee or tea from this cafe, either on his free time or when he is on a break during a photoshoot. He will leave a huge tip for you each time. It doesn't matter if you tell him it's too much of if you try to turn it down. Adrien will insist that you make the best coffee, therefore you more than deservie this "small" tip.

- He also makes sure that Natalie gets a coffee from the cafe for him if he can’t leave for a break; he makes sure that she tips you. Adrien will of course, post online the coffee he oh-so-needs during a long photoshoot, making sure that the logo and name of the cafe is visible. He knows that people will want to drink the coffee/tea he does.

- once Adrien has gathered up enough courage to actually befreind you and get closer to you, he will act more like himself.

- Adrien has a flawless mask. He knows how to play nice in front of others, and he will use his cluelessness to his advantage to play as the victim if things turn sour. Although he would rarly ever need to victim play, if at all, since he knows how to win people over and has a good reputation and is already well liked by everyone.

- People who get too close to you though? Or threaten to take you away or hurt you? Someone like Lila? He’ll take care of them with a smile on his face and everyone will be thanking him for it, never suspecting the seemingly angelic, innocent boy.

- If Lila gets in the picture and ruins his chances by either occupying too much of his time or if she bothers you for being around him a lot (obviously since Adrien likes to spend most of what little bit of time he has with you before he submits to his fathers expectations/schedule) then he will see to it that she is taken care of.

- He will team up with Marinette and expose her for the liar she is. Adrien sees through her pretentious acts, as he recognises when people crave to be the centre of attention. He sympathises with her insecurities but too bad that she was being manipulative and almost harms you in the process. Or tried to, that is.

- He will spread rumours about her, and revealed her true nature in the process. Lila will be ignored by everyone at school and excluded. And no one would ever be able to guess it was Adrien that caused it to happen. All because she picked the wrong person to mess with.

- You know how Adrian is trying so hard to please his father in anyway he can in exchange for a normal school life? Well, he will fall into a deeper and more unhealthy lifestyle in order to compromise sometime off to be able to meet you more often.

- Of course Adrian wouldn’t risk telling his father about you, because by bringing his attention too much to you then Gabriel would probably find ways to remove you from Adrien’s life. He is certain that his father will used the “She is a bad influence to you, Adrien” card against him. Instead Adrien would find some valid excuse to why he should get certain weekends or evenings off every now and then, like a school project, etc. This most likely demands an even more compact schedule than he already has. To compromise time off his father’s ridiculously demanding schedule.

- But it will be worthing it, he gets to see you!

- Adrien’s attempt at getting closer to his father will be replace with attempts at getting closer to you. You have yet to disappoint him like his father has, and so far you haven’t by treating him literally like any other human, it’s basic human decency, but to him it’s all the love in the world. He wouldn’t know the difference.

- He doesn’t see it as stalking, it is. He prefers to call it mindful watching.

- He sees you weaker to himself and thus in need of extra care and his protection, after all he is a hero of Paris, not that you need to know that.

- He also visits you as Chat Noir but he can never get close to you as you haven’t officially met yet, and it would be weird for a super hero to befriend a random citizen. So he will opt to watch you from afar.

- He has his way and connections to discreetly get information on you, mainly as chat noir, though not only restricted to his superhero form. He is a rich model and has good connections; there isn’t anything a little money can’t do.

- Adrien is surprisingly calm and ok with you being with friends at first. To be honest he really enjoyes spending time with you and his friends all together. It’s a normal life, something he always wished for, and he is happy to see you happy.

- But when a rival is brought to his attention he feels threatened. He doesn’t like it when people steal what is his.

- You’re HIS, and HIS only.

- If you hit it off with someone at school Adrien will pull some strings to get them transferred immediately. If a cutumor or coworker is getting too flirty? He'll make sure the customer never return and the coworker gets a job offer they can't refuse. One of the perks of being rich and influential. He never thought he’d be thankful for his privileges, but now it has finally come to be of use.

- After all he can’t have his heart broken once more, he deserves to be happy, with you. Together.

- This will be the trigger. He will constantly be anxious and feel fear over losing you at any moment, a result of all the rejections he has faced thus far.

- Rationality is thrown out the window, all in the name of love.

Reflections and Suspicions [Yandere! Chat Noir] [Reader-Insert]

[Name] held onto her arm tightly, and her head was bent. In nervousness, she moved her hand up and down her arm, as her eyes continuously flickered to and away from Chat Noir. She watched him move around her desk as he snooped shuffled through her belongings as he pleased, searching for only he knew what. He was facing away from [Name], and as he moved, his tail was restlessly swishing behind him.

As she watched him, [Name] felt anxiety seeping into her nerves the way medicine does when it is injected in someone. She really did not know what would cause Chat Noir to behave the way he was; being incredulous and skeptical about the parts of [Name]’s life, which were voided off his presence.

This was something new. In all their time ‘together,’ the good in which mutual love was once shared, and the current ‘bad,’ there was one thing that was always consistent: Chat’s trust in [Name]. From the commencement of their relationship to now, a lot of things had changed. This change in their relationship had begun with small moments; like when Chat’s kisses filled with endearment and tender love morphed into hungry bites of lust,with which he claimed his ownership over [Name]. It began from the moment when his warm touch, and gentle claw strokes filled with affection, that caused goosebumps to arise on [Name]’s skin changed into the hands of a murdered which bathed in red; his touch was cold and metallic, and his strokes were painful warnings that made goosebumps rise on her skin out of fear, rather than love. Sweet words and “I love you” became threats inclined with obsession and possessiveness. Everything had turned upside down, except for Chat’s trust in [Name].

At least, that seemed to be the case until today.

Despite her never-ending anxiety and fear of Chat Noir, [Name] knew she understood Chat the way he understood her. After all, she did love him once, and hypothetically, she was sure that some sick part of her still loved him. As a result, she was still able to read his thoughts and emotions to some extent, the way he was able to read her. Presently, the way he was suspicious of her, mindless shuffling and snooping around, meant that something was on his mind, something that made him extremely stressed. Perhaps, [Name] wondered, she could help put his mind to ease like she used to.

She decided to dance with the devil.

Sweat formed on the back of her neck, and she gulped before opening her mouth.

“C-Chat,” [Name] called out in a meek voice.

Her voice caused the black cat to become still in the middle of his movements. Simultaneously, the frantic swishing of his tail behind him halted mid-air. Then slowly, Chat Noir turned towards her, with the pupils of his eyes dilated, and his ears standing up firm and straight, as if he was a cat on alert.

His left ear twitched down, and then up, it's movements evident.

“What?” He asked in a hoarse voice, causing [Name] to inwardly wince.

[Name]’s fingers trembled momentarily, before she gulped and clenched her fist in order to cease her trembling. Then, she smiled nervously, as she extended her arms out to Chat Noir. She motioned for him to come to her.

“You look burnt out. Need hugs to charge up your kitty battery?” [Name] asked, and a streak of blush appeared on her face.

Chat’s eyes widened, before his cheeks began to be tinted with a shade of red. His tail spiked up in excitement, as the end of it formed into a small heart. His lips were beginning to form a gleeful cheshire grin, however, he forced it away.

With an almost a skip in his step, Chat Noir strode towards [Name], and as he neared the bed, he pounced on it. He landed with his head in [Name]’s lap, and then proceeded to make himself comfortable by laying on his right side, his head in [Name]’s lap, his left hand on her knee, and he was curled in a fetus position. As if [Name] was his owner and it was on an instinct that he was protective of her, Chat’s tail wrapped itself around her waist, pulling her as close to him as possible.

[Name] felt a shiver run down her spine, as she automatically situated her hand in Chat’s hair, and began scratching it.

He shivered in delight.

Subsequently, for the following minutes they both stayed still in their positions, feeling content. [Name] held a rare minute smile on her face, and Chat Noir, laid still, with his eyes closed. And once in awhile, a deep rumble would emit from him.

After a few moments of this routine, [Name] broke the comfortable silence.

“I miss this,” She began, as she gently soothed out Chat’s hair. Simultaneously, he purred and he opened his eyes.

“Miss what?” He asked, and his gaze shifted towards [Name].

A blush formed on [Name]’s cheeks, as her hand came up to scratch the back of Chat’s ear.

“This, us. Spending time like this, like the old times when we both actually liked each other’s company,” She blurted out-loud.

And just like how during spring, when it is a beautiful sunny day filled with life; everyone is enjoying the sunlight outdoors, the flowers are breathing in warmth, and everything is pure and bright; and then suddenly, out of nowhere, darkness and grey clouds overshadow the premises, the howls of the vicious winds, the slaps of the agonizing rain and hail, and the terrifying echoes of the thunder make people scream and run in fear; the comfort of the room was vanquished and replaced by something eerily dark.

“What do you mean like the old times? When we actually lik‘ed’ each other?” Chat voiced, as his tail, which was wrapped around [Name], tightened, and became almost suffocating.

[Name] froze, and it was at this instance she realized the implied meaning of her words, and that, unfortunately, she had let some of her true feelings slip.

Chat, feeling on the edge, sat up from his lying position. He pulled away from [Name], and sat on his knees in front of her. Then, with his tail, which was still wrapped around her, he pulled her towards him so she was as close to him as possible. He intimidated her by towering above her.

Flint and diabolical emerald eyes gazed intensely at terrified, and regretful [e/c] eyes. In fear, [Name] was about to move her face away from Chat Noir. However, his reflexes were swift, and he grabbed her chin with his index finger, and thumb before she could glance away. His sharp claws dug into her skin, causing her to hiss in pain.

“You know how I absolutely despise it when you look away from me when I'm talking to you. You know that don't you, my sweet silvervine?” Chat hissed, as he brought [Name]’s face closer to his, and she whimpered in pain.

“You miss the old times? I miss the old times too, [Name]. The times when I was able to trust you and not worry about you making a move on someone else. I miss the times when you didn’t make everything so difficult to the point where I have to keep an eye on you even in my civil form. You’re so vulnerable, weak, and pathetic, you always need me around you. You need me to protect you from everything and everyone. They’re all out to get you, even my own bestfriend,” Chat murmured, as he wrapped his free hand around [Name]’s waist, and embraced her.

At Chat’s words, [Name]’s eyes widened in fear and she gasped in surprise.

He couldn’t possibly know about my lunch with Adrien-- [Name] thought, before she was snapped out of her thoughts.

“I would hate to hurt Nino, but I will do what I must do to protect our love,” Chat whispered, nuzzling his nose in [Name]’s hair, and moving his hand under her shirt so it rested on her bare skin.

Unlike usual, [Name] failed to notice the coldness of Chat’s touch on her skin and how uncomfortable she felt under his touch. Instead, his words caused bells of familiarity to ring in [Name]’s mind, as if a big clue to the puzzle had just been delivered to her. The only issue was that she could not put her finger on it.

Frozen and lost in thought, [Name] became numb and failed to register the the detrimental words of delusional love and murder that Chat whispered.

“We will be together forever. And I will get rid off anyone who gets in the way of my love for you.”

“I used to have a crush on this girl. Have I told you about her?”

You didn’t react, and his arm tightened around your waist, dragging your body closer to his. You couldn’t see his expression from where you were sitting, between his open legs, his back resting against your headboard and yours pressed into his chest, but you could feel the points of his fangs ghosting over your shoulder, the warmth of his breath fanning over your skin. His claws bit into your hip, and you managed to shake your head, to push out a pitchy, throaty sound through the gag haphazardly forced into your mouth. It meant nothing, it was nothing, but he seemed satisfied, going on without probing for further encouragement.

“I really wanted to be with her. I told her that, too, every chance I got, but she was always too mature for that kind of thing. She still is, honestly. I kept trying, though. I think it was because I didn’t have a lot of people, back then, and I just—I kept telling myself if I had her, it’d be alright. I wouldn’t need anything else.”

There was a slight pause, a small smile pressed into the side of your neck.

“You get it, right?”

You didn’t hesitate, this time, just nodding along. Not that he was paying attention to you, anymore.

“I told myself she’d get it in a few months. A year, at most. Then, it was after we graduated. Then, it was after we both managed to get things together in college, and then… You probably get where this is going, don’t you? I know you do. You’re smart, like that - too smart to be with someone like me.”

Your hands were bound, too, at the wrist, using something you didn’t want to acknowledge as his faux-tail. While he was talking, preoccupied with himself and his sob-story, you tried to writhe out of it, to fold your thumbs into your fists and force the leather over your hands, but you were too hasty, too obvious, and it took less than a second for him to catch you, to flash a row of claws across your line of sight, to show off the small, ebbing ball of darkness still sitting in the palm of his hand, snaking up to curl around his fingers. “Forget about something?” You froze, instantly, and he laughed, the noise airy, half-hearted. “Try not to move. I don’t want to hurt you, but I can’t be held responsible for my reflexes, kitten.”

You didn’t respond, didn’t move, didn’t think. He only laughed, again, letting his lips brush against the corner of your jaw before pulling back, shifting, resting his chin on the dip of your shoulder, keeping himself as close to you as he possibly could without turning you into a pile of dust and ash.

“I really thought I loved her. I’m pretty sure I did, but she’s never felt the same way. She couldn’t, and as hard as you try, you just can’t love someone who doesn't love you back. I just... had to learn that the hard way. A couple times, actually.” Chat paused, tightened his hold on you. One of the ears of his costume brushed against your cheek, but when you leaned away, he only nuzzled into you, only closed what little distance you were able to gain. “But, you love me, right? And I’m allowed to keep loving you?”

Another nod, another muffled noise of agreement. And yet, he failed to move on, his smile wavering before falling away entirely. “What if I don’t believe you, kitten?” He didn’t give you a chance to answer, this time, didn’t give you a chance to do anything before his claws raked over your side, before you felt him bare his teeth against your skin. “What if I don’t wanna be lied to, again?”

Without warning, without time to brace yourself, you were tossed onto your back, against the mattress. By the time you registered that he'd been the one to throw you, he was already on top of you, straddling your waist, one hand planted next to your head and the other, the one you couldn’t let touch you, moving towards your face. You cried out, flinched back, but he stopped a moment before he made contact, slipped his fingers under your gag, instead, the thin fabric instantly decaying into little more than a few split threads and a new pressure in the hollow of your chest. “I’ve gotta go,” He started, when you remembered how to breathe. When it seemed like you were capable of listening. “Can you say it for me, before I leave? Just one little ‘I love you’. Just this once.”

You didn't hear your own voice, couldn’t feel your own tongue. You were only distantly aware that you were speaking at all, but you managed to choke the words out, regardless. “I love you.”

He smiled, kissed your cheek, and you shut your eyes, went limp underneath him. When you opened them again, he’d disappeared, your window left open and every trace of Chat gone, as if he’d never been there at all.

You laid there for a moment, utterly still, utterly silent. Then, you heard a knock, and your bedroom door creaking open, a familiar voice calling out a second later. “(Y/n), are you—”

He didn’t finish, didn’t have to. Before you could explain, before you could even finish pushing yourself up, his arms were already wrapped around you, your face already buried in his chest. You melted into him, instantly going slack in his tender vice-grip. “He was here again, wasn’t he? Did he hurt you?”

“No, no – I mean, he was, but I think he just wanted to scare me. I’m fine.” You forced yourself to look up, to put on a weary smile. “Even better, now that you’re here.”

It was enough to earn a small chuckle, a lingering kiss to your forehead. “I promise, next time he shows up, I'll be there before he can get away. I don’t care if he has superpowers. If he ever wants to put his hands on you again, he'll have to go through your boyfriend, first.”

You only leaned into him, only let him pretend he could protect you while he still could.

“I can't wait to see you try, Adrien.”

Will do her best to push all your friends away from you (and from her, if necessary). To achieve the goal, she is ready to deviate from the principles and to use the Miraculouses for selfish purposes.

-You are not only her friend, but also a muse. She loves to sew outfits for you and give you other handmade gifts. All her notebooks are filled with drawings of you. Starts working more to be able to take you to cafes and shops. He will find the most picturesque places in Paris to invite you for a walk there. -Luka tries to respect your personal space. He really tries. But it is vital for him to touch you. It's comforting. Be prepared to hug and hold hands. Tries to adjust the situation so that you do not meet alone with other friends. He doesn't need you to get too close to someone else. Of course, chat with this person, but Luka will be there. Do you want to meet someone? He can also invite his friends. In a big company it will be much more fun. Did you meet someone on the street? Just say hello and leave. You hurry.

- Luka is a non-confrontational person. He will not arrange loud quarrels if he does not like something. But he has learned to skillfully manipulate you. His advice seems so right. Everything he tells you makes sense. So, just thank Luka for taking care of you. He is a truly valuable friend.

Marin puffed out his chest and pushed his fringe back. Through the mirror, his reflection was smirking back at him. His muscles were bulging underneath his white blouse, and a cute dark blue bow tie was as straight as it could be around his neck. Next to the mirror laid some flowers; roses, specifically. They were a light pink in colour.

Still, as the attractive man smoothed down his shirt, and ran his fingers through his hair, his bluebell eyes couldn't find what you were talking about.

"You know," you picked up a chip, licking some of the salt off of it. Marin's eyes watched the pink muscle with interest. "You're pretty, pretty, Marin." Marin pushed his lips together to hold back a whimper. He could feel his whole body heating up; he probably looked as red as a tomato. He was, actually.

"Thanks." He stuttered out eventually, slouching his shoulders the slightest bit once he was done. You stood and walked over to your window, opening it and welcoming the breeze. Marin was pretty much steaming. It was getting concerning.

"Yeah, yeah," you waved your hand once you sat back down, then reached for another potato chip, "I'm just saying. I'm pretty sure that Chloé is even falling for you." Marin jolted up, a green visage rising on him. "Chloé..? I don't.." "Pfft- I'm joking, Marin! I'm joking! Désolé! Désolé*!" You repeatedly apologized to Marin's wobbly figure. His hand covered his mouth and his other held his stomach. To you, he just randomly got sick. But internally, Marin couldn't fathom being with Chloé. That was just..disgusting! Adrien could take her!! Marin had you.

"-ude, you look fine." Nino said, punching Marin's shoulder. Marin almost punched him back -- which would be twice as hard -- but noticed it was his friend playing around. He blinked,

"Ah, yeah, thanks."

"Yep." Nino patted his shoulder and turned away, talking to his girlfriend, Alya. Marin then sighed and glanced back at the mirror. Bluebell eyes gazed back at him, and Marin noticed how different he looked. Since he started being Ladybug (it was a dumb name he came up with and it just stuck; he couldn't change it now), Marin slowly grew muscle. Before, he was the shy, scrawny kid struggling to speak to his crush. Now, he looked like a model and could kill people with his bare hands.

…

'Did I just think about killing people?!' Marin screamed inside his head. His face showed absolute horrification from his thoughts.

And then Adrien basically appeared out of nowhere with a: "Yo!"

Marin jumped back and covered his mouth, only fretting more once he saw Adrien. The blond flashed him a creepy grin, "How are you? You look a bit scared." At the back of Marin's mind was annoyance. Everyone else saw the 'perfect' side of Adrien; Marin saw his demon.

"I was scared by your face; it's a bit ugly, you know?" Marin snapped and huffed, dragging his fingers through his hair again. It was slightly calming his nerves, but he was still on edge. Adrien didn't like him; Marin knew that. Marin didn't like Adrien, and Adrien knew that.

You didn't know, however.

Adrien clicked his tongue, "That's rude. You took the words out of my mouth." Marin glared. Adrien glared back. Tensions were growing around them.

But Marin shook out of it and turned to the mirror, looking at himself one last time, before grabbing the flowers. Adrien merely watched before plucking a pink rose right from Marin's hand.

"You don't mind, do you?" Adrien asked, mock heavily lacing his voice. Marin felt his stomach twist and turn, adrenaline rushing through him much like how he feels when going against an Akumatized victim. He made a disgruntled expression, "Please give it back."

"Oho- who's the lucky lady? Or lad. I don't judge." Marin's fingers curled and his face flushed an angry red. He repeated himself with a bit more grit,

"Please give it back."

Adrien shrugged and made a motion to give back the flower, only to rip off the flower from the stem with an: "Oops."

It seemed that over time, Marin only got agitated more easily. And this took the cake.

A blinding red washed over Marin's vision and he immediately flung forward, throwing himself onto Adrien with a cry. Adrien narrowly dodged each punch thrown his way and threw his own kicks and punches. After a while, the two boys were on the ground, rolling. They both held each other's necks and squeezed as hard as they could, neither intending to lose.

"Get off me, you ass!" Adrien coughed and sputtered, then kicked Marin in the groin. The black-haired boy fell onto his back, rolling out of the way of a kick that was aimed at his head. This repeated until Marin reached a door. He yanked it open, slid in, then slamming it shut, shoving things in front of it. He looked around a bit, mentally counting how many pounds were sounded from the door. It would surely break soon.

"Tikki," Marin whispered with a hoarse voice, "spots on."

"But Marin-!" She couldn't finish and was sucked into the Ladybug miraculous earrings.

Now changed to his alias, Ladybug slid open a convenient window, taking his yo-yo and Spiderman-ning out of there.

He had one destination in mind.

"-em coming!" You hollered, quickly throwing on your hoodie that had a tuxedo printed in the front. As you popped your head through the hole and opened your apartment door, you were engulfed in thick arms. And tears.

"Uh, uhh-" You blubbered against a bicep. Someone was crying into your shoulder, dumping flowers on your head, and hugging you so tight you could barely breathe. It was kind of awkward.

"Oh (y.n)! I'm so sorry! Adrien just.." And the person went on and on and it was finally when you recognized them as Marin. Your friend.

Your friend who was crying about Adrien and flowers.

Your friend who had you in an inescapable hug.

"Um, Marin, we can go eat or something." You quietly suggested. You were no good at comforting people so you decided to offer up your favourite things in hopes that Marin would like them too and would stop sobbing all over your shoulder. Thankfully, Marin nodded, probably rubbing his snot into your hoodie, but you didn't care. He was your friend.

Getting him some hot chocolate, changing into a new hoodie, settling onto the couch, and putting on a movie, you two snuggled next to each other. You never knew that Marin was quite the cuddle bug.

"(y.n)," Marin turned to you as a kissing scene was playing on the screen. You turned to him, "Yeah?"

Marin knew it was impossible for him to say his feelings, nonetheless, ask for a kiss, so he decided to go for it. It..wouldn't be harassment, right? Nor you non-consenting. Marin saw both women and men kiss others without giving so much a warning in the movies, it should be the same in real life, yeah? Marin then could practically hear Tikki cheering him on.

As Marin leaned in close, his eyelashes fluttering closed and lips puckering, a sudden bang was heard on the door. You jumped, nearly smashing your head against Marin's, before standing and treading over to your door, grumbling along the way. Marin watched, disappointed, but there was pink in his cheeks. He felt your breath against his face!!

Marin pressed his palms against his cheeks, boyishly smiling while in a daze. He couldn't wait until the day he would actually marry you!

Until Adrien fucking Agreste walked in with a limp, you holding onto the blond's arm to help stabilize him. Pulling out a chair, you pushed him into it before muttering that you were going to get a first aid kit.

...

"Fuking cockblock." Marin muttered angrily, pulling the yellow blanket he had over his head closer to his face. He, too, was injured, but hid it well with some of your clothes.

"Oh please. It's not like they were sucking your dick, right?"

Right at that moment, Adrien might as well have ripped out Marin's heart and stomped on it. That's what it sure felt like to Marin.

"Of..of course not!"

After that, it went a bit silent. It turned out that you had to go to the drugstore to find a medkit because you didn't own one. Marin would make sure you would own 20 in the future.

"I really don't like you, Marin." Adrien blurted. Marin's eyes focused back on him, noticing the blond holding a photo in his hand. Marin rolled his eyes, "Well, I don't like you either." "Good." Adrien said, rubbing the photo of you, Marin, and Adrien taking a picture. In the image, Marin was holding your hand, nearly pressing it against his chest. Adrien felt anger bubble up inside him the longer he looked at it.

So Adrien wiped his mouth with the back of his mouth, glaring at Marin with hate and disappointment. His next words nearly stopped Marin's heart:

"You know, Ladybug, you shouldn't change out in public. Nearly everyone can see you." Then, Adrien pointed at himself, grinning so wide his cheeks were burning,

"That's why you shouldn't have changed in that room. You should be more like Cat Noir-

-more like me."

A pungent odour wafted around your quaint apartment and you, swearing on Jack Sparrow's grave, could not find the culprit of the stench.

You pulled off your clothes and changed into pyjamas, lying flat on your bed. You turned your head to your nightstand that had a lamp and a rose. The smell was the most powerful in your room, and yet you still couldn't find it.

Reaching up, you twisted a switch and darkness surrounded you. You sighed and closed your eyes, drifting off to dreamland.

And by your window sat a person wearing dark red, their bluebell eyes catching the sight of the pretty rose on your nightstand. In the moonlight, it shined and showed its true colours.

"Red is so pretty." Marin sighed, and, on your nightstand, the blood-red rose's colour seemingly dribbled off the petals and onto your unsuspecting face, leaving a tiny red dot.

Blood red was pretty indeed.
