Papa Arc: *Minding his own business*
Jaune: Uhmm, dad. Can we speak to you for a moment?
Wolf Faunus Ruby: *Howl* ugh, hrmph, *cough*, *cough. I mean Papa Arc why do you disapprove of me Mat.... I mean Dating your son?
Papa Arc's PoV:
Papa Arc: Is this a trick question?

I know you're probably a nice girl and maybe a good choice for our son. But we are shopping for someone more... "Fitting" If you catch my meaning.
Ruby: You mean someone more human is that it?
Papa Arc: More like someone we don't have to feel ashamed of going out to the public with.

Oh... Sorry I wasn't listening. I suddenly saw my tail and I instinctively decided to grab it... So what were you saying again?
Papa Arc: Right... So Jaune as you can plainly see, Ruby is not a good fit for you. (Poor thing probably be snapped in half by Jaune's length if they decided to date.)
But not all is lost. Maybe Ruby's sister Yang is still interested in you?
Jaune: Uh, Yang. I mean she didn't say no the last time we met. So yeah, I guess she's still interested...
Ruby: No!!! Jaune is my Mate! He's mine and I already claimed him!
Jaune: Oh Ruby... As you can see dad. Can you please just gives Ruby a chance. I promised I will do everything I can to help her.
Papa Arc: I don't know Jaune... Taking care of a Faunus is a big responsibility. Are you sure you can handle it?
Jaune: I promise. I will feed her, bathe her and take her out for a walk.
Ruby: Walkie!!! 馃惗
Papa Arc: I'm so gonna regret this but all right. You have my permission.
Jaune: Yay! C'mon Ruby let's go for a walk.
*puts a leash on Ruby*
Ruby: Yeah walkie!...... Hey wait a minute!!!!!!

Vacuum
Nora: "Hey Jaune-Jaune?"
Jaune's dog ears perk up, and he looks up from the sword fencing book he was studying to look at Nora.
Dog Faunus Jaune: "What's up Nora?"
Nora: "So, I know you tend to get scared during major thunderstorms, but do you get upset when someone uses a vacuum? and I'm only asking out of genuine concern, I swear!"
Jaune snickers at Nora's nervous look, before giving her a reassuring smile.
F! Jaune: "I knew what you meant Nora, and I'm not offended."
At this, Jaune tilts his head to the left as he thinks her question over.
F!: Jaune: "Mmmh the vacuum huh? I don't have to much of an issue with it to be honest. Most Canine Faunus don't really either, at best we get annoyed at the constant humming but other than that we tune it out."
Nora: "Great! Because I'm getting ready to run one real quick since it's been a couple weeks and I just wanted to make sure you're okay with it!"
Jaune waved her off with a go ahead as he went back to his book. Nora quickly set the Vacuum up and as she stepped on the pedal it roared to life. It was at this moment that the door to their dorm room was blown off it's hinges as one Ruby Rose bursts in holding Crescent Rose in her hands with a death grip. He wolf ears were twitching, her silver eyes filled with fear and panic as she started shouting.
Wolf Faunus Ruby: "WHO HAS ACTIVATED THE DEVILS INSTRUMENT?! THE HUMMING! THE MADDENING HUMMING! THEY FILL THE AIR WITH THEIR INUMANE SHRIEKING! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!"
At her mad ramblings, Ruby began to wildly fire into the room as she tried to snuff out vacuum from the safety of the doorway. She nearly caught Nora with a stray round before Jaune had dive tackled her to the floor and they both crawled behind the kitchen counter. Nora peaked out over the counter in terror, before looking at Jaune with questioning look. Jaune met her look with an indifferent look and a shrug.
F! Jaune: ""I did says that 'most' Canine get annoyed at 'best."
F! Ruby: "DIE MONSTER, FOR YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS WORLD!"

Which AU is the B thing?
so, little context: while playing loddlenaut, i started thinking about differences between a rewrite and a reboot, and to draw the distinction between the two, i needed to give myself a simple example bc talking to yourself while gaming is a great way to spend time; so, using something that i'm familiar with.
enter rwby. this led me to "a rewrite would have to stick with team rwby, but a reboot wouldn't have to, if you so wanted" which turned into "how would a story with a team rwby that isn't the team rwby we know work while still involving all of team rwby" which turned into "weiss went into atlas academy and blake stayed with the white fang but both of them still ended up at beacon during the vytal festival so team rwby will happen, in a way... that is much, much slower.... holdup. ruby and yang still need teammates, and i want to stick with team rwby because ruby, where do i get a W and a B?"
and that's. pretty much all there is at the moment.
