Okay okay wait you can help me out, I got this vacuum cleaner at a thrift store. Is it a good one? Bad one? Just kinda old? It was $8!
Okay, that is a Black and Decker BDLCE101, however, they no longer sell that model. It looks like they've really pivoted to Handheld and Stick Vacuums as opposed to uprights.
Looking at reviews for it, for a cheap vacuum, it certainly gets the job done well enough. With a weight just shy of 8lbs ~ 3.5kg, and a capacity of 1.7L ~ 0.5 Gal, it's pretty good. The nice thing about it, too, is because it's a canister, you don't need to change out any bags.
For $8, I'd say that's a damn good deal. Just don't expect to find replacement parts when it craps out and remember that it's a Dry Only vacuum! No Liquid!
My mom came flying into my room on a flying vacuum, I was terrified and kept repeating her name and it turns out I was saying her name irl too. This was when I was about 3-4.
In December 2022, an international team of astronomers released the results of their latest survey of galaxies, and their work has confirmed that the vacuum of spacetime is wreaking havoc across the cosmos. They found that matter makes up only a minority contribution to the energy budget of the universe. Instead, most of the energy within the cosmos is contained in the vacuum, and that energy is dominating the future evolution of the universe.
Their work is the latest in a string of discoveries stretching back over two decades. In the late 1990s, two independent teams of astronomers discovered that the expansion of the universe is accelerating, meaning that our universe grows larger and larger faster and faster every day. The exact present-day expansion rate is still a matter of some debate among cosmologists, but the reality is clear: Something is making the universe blow up. It appears as a repulsive gravitational force, and we’ve named it dark energy.
The trick here is that the vacuum, first demonstrated by von Guericke all those centuries ago, is not as empty as it seems. If you were to take a box (or, following von Guericke’s example, two hemispheres), and remove everything from it, including all the particles, all the light, all the everything, you would not be left with, strictly speaking, nothing. What you’d be left with is the vacuum of spacetime itself, which we’ve learned is an entity in its own right.
TS4 Bust The Dust Vacuum Functional for The Sims 2
This object is cloned from SpiralboundSims Vacuum cleaner, so it works in the same way (read the original post for more info). Sims can use (non independently) the vacuum to clean trash, puddles and dirt like that. It also need to be cleaned (changing the sack) and to be repaired. When used, the vacuum will go in sims inventory and another vacuum will spawn on the ground. After the use it will disappear and you need to positionate the inventory vacuum again on the lot. I fixed the code that was preventing the second vacuum to take the recolors, now it works perfectly :) Found in Big Appliances. Original mesh is from TheNinthWaveSims, but I made the front of the vacuum glass like, so you can see the dust inside. Low poly

While vacuums can do pretty wild things to liquids, the title of this Slow Mo Guys video is a bit misleading. They're not so much exploding gold in a vacuum as they are shredding it during repressurization. Regardless, the visuals are pretty awesome. (Video and image credit: The Slow Mo Guys)
