Headcanons/notes from the author: I’ve been wanting to write this for a while but I couldn’t decide if I wanted it with Satan, Barbatos, or Lucifer. Maybe I’ll make it with the other two as well later idk. MC can be read as anywhere on the trans spectrum

Brief Blurb: MC comes back from the human world feeling upset because of being exposed transphobia.

It had been a long day in the human world, and you were happy to return to the House of Lamentation. No one there would harass you or make you feel inferior for being trans, which people in the human world tended to do (directly or indirectly, it didn’t matter). Once you arrived, you headed to your room and closed the door, hoping to get some crying out of your system before any of the brothers found you.

Of course, as soon as you were changed into comfortable clothes, someone knocked on the door. The only people who knocked were Lucifer and Satan, but neither of them felt like the best company when you were about to burst into tears. “_____? Dinner is almost ready.”

You could feel your throat thickening, but answered despite this. “I’ll be in the dining room soon.” Thankfully, your voice didn’t crack too much.

“May I come in?”

Sighing, you fumbled with your clothes and mulled it over. You would definitely cry if he asked you about your day, and that was what you were intending to do before dinner… “Okay, one second.” You hurried to the door and undid the charm keeping it closed. Once he stepped inside, you shut the door behind him and activated the charm once more. You met eyes with him, then quickly changed your mind and stared off somewhere else. Even though you wanted to cry, you were still unsure whether he’d be the best person to have in your company while you did so…

“How are you doing…?” he asked quietly, eyebrows furrowed as he inspected your body language. “It sounded like your trip was important.”

“It was. Solomon needed help with undoing a spell,” you told him. “After we were finished we went to a restaurant, which was nice.” Biting your lip, you began to debate on whether or not to tell him what had made you so upset. You knew he could tell. “I just… um… have trouble in the human world sometimes, since I’m trans.”

Satan perked an eyebrow. “Is that what’s bothering you…? I’m sure you’re aware whatever nonsense people say is just from being uneducated.” You nodded and stared at your feet, unsure how to explain why it bothered you so much. “… I sound like Lucifer. I’m sorry. I don’t mean to belittle you.” He awkwardly pulled you into a hug, and tensed when he heard you sob into him.

“People just… dehumanize trans people. That’s all,” you muttered between tears. “I know they’re wrong, but it’s difficult to not constantly question myself…” He squeezed you closer, unsure what to say. “L-Like, despite that transgender people existing is a fact, they are actively ignoring it, and sometimes i-it makes me wonder if I’m faking it… especially when I’m exposed to a lot of that attitude at once…”

Satan rubbed your back, listening intently. “I think I understand.”

“I-I just want… people to be nice…” you mumbled.

“I know, _____…” he cooed, giving you a comforting squish. “However, whatever misinformation they are spreading will never change the truth. You are trans. Other people are trans. There is no scientific or logical backing for what those bigots say.” Satan took a deep breath, containing his wrath. “Even if it were a choice to be trans, which it absolutely is not, being trans is not hurting anyone.”

Sniffling, you nodded into his neck and took a deep breath. “Y-Yeah…”

“You will always have allies in the Devildom,” he assured you softly. “And you have Solomon and the angels, too.”

“M-Mmhm…”

Satan released a soft sigh as he gently created space between you two. “We should be heading to dinner.” He brushed away your tears with a thumb. “You are a very strong human, you know that?”

A weak smile broke out on your face. “Thank you, Satan…”

unconventional gender neutral terms of endearment ^^

(mostly made this cause my drafts always have "baby" a million times and then i replace them lol)

- pretty (as in pretty girl/boy, but without the gender word attached) - starlight/my star, sunshine - honestly if you put "my" before anything it could probably work as an endearment - animals: firefly (got the idea from sufjan stevens), bunny, dove, mouse, hamster, hummingbird, penguin, monkey 😭, kitten (this one's kinda popular) - flowers: tulip, rose, sunflower, a flower that's special between your characters - fruits/vegetables: pumpkin, bean, mango, lychee, kiwi, peach, nectarine, apricot, berry(!!), blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, cherry, etc - sweets! a special weakness of mine is sweets from the person saying the endearment's culture. like if someone who was also indian called me their kaju katli i'd melt (but probably not laddu unless it's clear they're teasing and i get back at them 💀). maybe runs the risk of being cringey tho? honestly as long as it's from the sayer's culture and suits their personality it's fine - examples of sweets that don't belong to a certain culture: cookie, brownie - nature: snowflake, raindrop?? (i guess it works if your character has something to do with water), sprout, sapling

and here's some classic gn terms of endearment if your character's more into that: - darling (i see this as a perfect alternative to princess/prince) - love/my love - lovely/beautiful - baby/babe (can be used in both cute and teasing/suggestive moods) - angel (personal favorite of mine!) - dear (it's so "grown old together" vibes, i'm in love with this one for this purpose) - honey, honey pie, sugar, sweet(ie). honestly if they're used for s/os, it feels kinda old-fashioned. but for parent figures saying it to someone much younger that they care about, children or otherwise? (i'm imagining a southern (from america) beekeeper with no children or spouse of her own who sells her famous honey to buy food for the small army of orphaned children that shows up on her front porch every morning for breakfast. and these are the kinds of things she'd call them. perfection.)

The TERF brigade in the BES fandom makes my skin itch. God forbid you interpret Mizu as transmasc. Like having a different interpretation of the character is somehow taking anything away from cis women. Musty asses already castigated any HCing Mulan as transmasc are you not tired of harassing asian transmascs by now???

Anyway instead of getting cis "people" in your mentions crying about the "evil [white*] transes taking away wombmyn stories". Protect your peace and stan a book series that's got a transmasc asian(fantasy Korean not Japanese) swordsman as one of the main characters, his name is Keun-ju and he's so pookie ☺.

It's called The Crimson Empire trilogy by Alex Marshall. It's a batshit heavy metal dark fantasy trilogy with pretty much every queer imaginable. Also If you can handle the gore/violence of BES then this shouldn't be an issue. The Main character(there are a lot of important characters) is a scarred up brawny bi woman who's in her late 50s/early 60s.

Oh and all those ot3 Mizu/Akemi/Taigen shippers I see you...so Keun-ju is bi and gets into a throuple with a feisty(Low key a dumbass tbh 💀) princess(who's his childhood friend and he's her bodyguard because I know yall eat up that shi) AND a cis guy who he starts out with a pseudo antagonistic/rivalry relationship.

Caveat unlike BES these three do start off the series as teens (16-17/18) but by the end they're all firmly adults.

*Totally ignoring the trans POC specifically the East asian trans people because "transness is a taint forced by white people" or some other bullshit. And it make it easier for the TERFs to pretend they're fighting the "oppressor" if they act like trans poc calling them out on their shit don't exist.

My brain is just so fucking full help. I can’t sit down and actually write well because I’m too upset from family shit so I’m making this headcanon just in case I can’t get anything done. (Also part of why I’ve been publishing so much old stuff that isn’t on here recently lmao.) Whenever I write headcanons there is a chance I’ll make them into fics so lol

Written for AFAB trans MC who binds! (I know some cis women bind too but MC is pretty trans coded here)

Please take care of yourself when you bind!

will lose his fucking mind if you bind too long or in a dangerous manner

This is assuming he’s even aware, considering demons have different rules and he’s always working so he may not even notice.

he scolds you out of habit, but then feels a bit guilty after remembering that binding just helps you feel better about yourself

It takes a while for him to swallow his damn pride and apologize for how he addressed it, and reminds you it’s only because he cares that he got upset

If you are one to wear your partner’s/partners’ clothes, he’ll find something of his for you to wear if it’ll help comfort you when you need to stop binding

tries to be nicer when he addresses your unhealthy binding from now on

he really tries to be nice but your health is super important! Might get a little agitated if you repeatedly do unhealthy binding

assures you that you’re still very masculine when you need to stop binding for the day and he doesn’t see you as anything but the gender you are

will help you find the best sports bras and baggy clothes to help you feel better about things

(Also probably makes sure you have more than one binder because of all the sweat/grime buildup that will happen if you don’t wash them enough)

He knows it’s only ‘cause you want to be comfortable with yourself a bit longer, so he manages to not be upset with you lol

more sad OL:B&A stuff, more specifically for the transgender audience

once again ignoring any of the romantic aspects.

tw for a bit of transphobia!

as a transgender man, my coming out was ruined completely. im sure alot of people can also relate to that.

infact it went so horribly that i forced myself back into the closet for a long time. i tried out many different gender identitys. my thought process was that ‘anything other than a man’ would be good enough for my family. which was not the case.

to cut a long story short, i couldnt keep up that façade, and my family eventually came through for me. though, the prior transphobia i received was damaging enough to stay with me even now.

olba is relevant because i found the game at one of my lowest points. i was blown away by how accepting the game was off the bat. there were sets of pronouns to pick, and promises to be able to change them as your character grew older, as they grew into themselves. your appearance had nothing to do with your gender identity, there was no judgement if your character revealed their gender identity to anyone. even if that character was someone who didnt like you.

the thing that got me the most was how supportive your moms are described to be. maybe you’d think thats an obvious if they are two women married to eachother, but ive met my fair share of people who will accept homosexuality and not transgender people.

anyways, in step 2 it can be mentioned how you are on some sort of hormone already, and in step 3 it can be mentioned that your moms payed for your top surgery. never has a line of text made me cry as hard as i did when i read that. it was so emotionally overwhelming.

the sheer amount of acceptance in that game is STILL so mind blowing to me. you dont find games like that like ever. as a 14 year old, it was the most acceptance i had ever gotten in my life. if i had the chance to speak to anyone from GB patch, i would give them my thanks until i physically couldnt speak anymore.

what im getting across to here is that games like this can really help a person. especially young people who are just now shaping their identity. knowing theres acceptance out there can really help ones mental health. even if it is just through a video game.
