So you know how sapphics have this psudeo subgenre in adult SFF called "Lesbian Space Atrocities". I want there to be an equivalent but for asexuals. I want it to be a thing so I'm gonna make it a thing; Malfeasant Ace Wizards aka Morally questionable asexual men & NBs In SFF. My Criteria for this is:
Must be Adult Science fiction, fantasy or horror
The main character(s) must be asexual men or asexual nonbinary person(s).
The main character is Morally grey. Doesn't have to be a full on villain.
The overall tone and themes of the books must be dark or at the very least not particularly sweet/light (dark doesn't have to be grimdark nihilistic murderrape fest level dark) but It won't be put on any "cozy" fantasy lists anytime soon.

Not being into romance or dating or marriage *is* actually an asexual experience.
Not being into sex or kissing or similar *is* actually an aromatic experience.
An aspec person tagged a post that you would define as an aromatic experience with #asexual? Yeah, it probably is for their asexuality. An aspec person tagged a post that you would define as an asexual experience with #aromantic? Yeah, it probably is for their aromanticism. You don't get to control other people's orientations. If it bothers you, tough titty, either get over it or put a dni on the post saying you don't want specific aspec people to interact with the post.

Okay I get that shipping is a thing and people will ship whatever that being said; you have a terminal case of porn addict brainrot if you think Chono & Esek should've hooked up. One the GROOMING??? Did you read the book with your eyes closed Chono was a child sex slave being sold to pedos to use her body??? And you want the adult who rescued her from that abuse to turn around and do the same??? Also a major aspect of Chono's devotion to Esek is BECAUSE she trusted her not to abuse her position to groom/have sex with the Kin School students!
Also... even if we ignore the massive grossness of that hypothetical relationship...it's still a thousand times more narrativily interesting that their relationship was NOT sexual/romantic. It was a purely platonic fvcked up mentor/protégé dynamic. Which is so much better. There's a bigillion examples of media where the reverse happens. One book where it's not the case won't kill you 😒.
Like if you want "adult takes in child and eventually grooms them to be their lover" there's a disturbing amount of manga/light novels with that premise, shoo.

i know it’s been said before but y’all need to stop giving non-SAM aspecs shit. stop telling them “well that’s more of an ace thing” or “that’s more of an aro thing” like it can be both! a lot of people call themselves just asexual because they have no attraction to anyone, period, and they don’t use the SAM because even though it’s a useful tool for a lot of people, it’s not always necessary. LGB people often only use one label and don’t have to clarify that by saying they’re bisexual that also means they’re biromantic. it’s implied. yes, asexual means no sexual attraction and aromantic means no romantic attraction, but they both can also mean no attraction at all. it’s okay to use only one label, or to not want to use the split attraction model. if one label conveys what you want it to convey, then it’s a good label. that’s the whole purpose of them. stop policing people with aspec identities.
