James and Marlene are childhood best friends! Marlene came out to James first and he called her by her preferred pronouns and name!

Effie Potter is a lawyer, often works cases involving children. She will often be called into court as an expert, considering she go a PhD in Forensics Psychology while also doing law school. Dr. Potter is highly respected in her field! Monty Potter, who took on Effie's last name, a botanist, who often does research and writes papers. He is the one often cooking and cleaning, he enjoys doing it while sorting his thoughts. He's technically a Stay-At-Home Dad, but still writes about his work on the side! He loves animals as well!

Marlene's mom works in Sport's Medicine while her dad is a therapist! Marlene is also an only child, but stays over a lot at the Potters! She's basically their second child.

Sirius was taken into Custody by Andromeda & Ted Tonks when he was 9 (Regulus was 8). Andromeda's a high school teacher and Ted is a mechanic. Alphard also lives with them, watching the boys when their guardians are busy. (they first call Andromeda 'Mommy' a year later during a power outage. They boys then call her Mom or Meda!) When Sirius is 12 he calls Ted "Pops" and Regulus starts calling him "Pa".

Sirius and Peter become close friends, as they relate with each other over their full houses. Peter is also the oldest of his 3 siblings and Sirius is the oldest over Regulus and Dora.

Peter, Sirius, James & Marlene become super close during middle school!

ok as a hardcore enby marlene stan i’ve had some ideas:

marlene still considers themselves a lesbian and is comfortable with the terms wlw and sapphic along with nblw

they still consider themselves as “one of the girls” in the way that they’ll partake in girls night and is fine with being like referred to collectively with the valkyries as “the girls”

despite this they are also “one of the boys” and is invited to the marauders “secret lads trips” (they get drunk and trauma dump but forget it all when they’re sober) and will always out drink everyone other than remus

they’re nonbinary in the way that they dont feel any pull towards gender. like they just feel like marlene, not like a boy or a girl or anything really and uses nonbinary to describe their gender as something that’s there but not really there

they refuse to cut their hair off. they would prefer to spend eternity being misgendered than have a shit pixie cut and take their eyeliner and red lipstick off

james was the first person they came out to as a lesbian: the pair had dated gif 2 weeks and just had there first kiss when they were like “nope i like girls”

pete was the first person they came out as nonbinary to cos he walked in on her crying in the common room one night.

What kind of gift givers the marauders are:

James:always good gifts, will buy you like 2000 gifts, 5 pages long card for Regulus(more like a love letter), no card otherwise, Effie does the wrapping otherwise it’s horrendous

Sirius: always homemade gifts, they look like shit but you can see he put so much work and love into it and he looks so proud of it, he’s so excited to give it to you, horrible wrapping, sweetest card

Remus: will buy you one very simple and inexpensive gift but it’s always perfect, his gifts are usually stuff you mentioned like a year ago but that he remembered, pretty plain card, will put the gift in a box or a bag ‘cause he hates wrapping gifts

Marlene: always stuff related to music(concert tickets, vinyls, etc.), no card, rarely wrapped gifts

Dorcas:pretty basic gift giver, will ask you what you want and then will buy it for you, the card and the gift wrapping (she did herself)could be put into art galleries though, no card

Lily: will buy you something that is linked to something you both like and talk about together, the card will make you laugh and or cry, beautiful but simple wrapping

Barty: homemade gifts for Evan(that part works exactly like Sirius) and bought gifts for everyone else(the ones for everyone else are usually pretty bad), he might start crying if you tell him you don’t like his gift though, basically he’s a shitty gift giver but he really tries, horrible wrapping and no card unless it’s for Evan, usually just asks for Evan’s help choosing the gift

Evan: best gift giver ever, gifts you never asked for but he’s just so observant that he found exactly what you needed, his gifts usually make people cry of happiness(he bought Reg his first binder, he paid for Pandora’s first dreadlocks after she told him she hated her hair, etc.), no card and no wrapping

Peter: one nice gift, half homemade half bought( ex: a bought blanket on which he embroidered your name), they’re not extraordinary but they’re nice, no card but there is wrapping

Mary: an activity you can do together (ex:cinema tickets, going shopping but she pays for you, etc.), does like grandparents who put the money in the card

Pandora: homemade gifts but they are the prettiest most wonderful gifts,always DIY, scratch booking and stuff like that, her cards will likely make you cry because of the sweetest messages ever she writes in them

more trans remus au! trans remus would not even think about gender until he went to hogwarts,

Since he grew up sheltered with his parents who didn't force gender norms onto him he was overwhelmed with the very gender devided hogwarts and grew incredibly uncomfortable with it.

in year 2 he realized he much preferred the boys uniform when he and sirius swiched uniforms for fun, and sirius loved to annoy the shit out of reg with wearing a skirt, so they kept switching clothes until it one day hit remus he might be more than just a tomboy. he had been reading about the remus and romulus story in a mythology book and asked his friends to only refer to him as remus from now on, for fun at first because of the joke (wolf, wolf) but then it became habit for everyone to call him that, and remus even prefered it over his legal name.

in year 4 when puberty really started to hit he had gotten increaingly anxious over his body, already being hyper sensetive to losing control over himself due to his lycanthropy. he started binding and cut his hair, talking in a lower voice since the other marauders voices had already gone deep. he felt a rush of excitement and happiness everytime some of the younger students who thought he was a cis boy called him by he/him pronouns. he often talked about feeling like a boy with his friends and after some time they also started refering to remus by he/him pronouns.

it wasn't until a year after graduating hogwarts that he first heard of the term trans, but he instantly knew. when he told the other marauders about it they were all very suportive and it was obvious to everyone that remus was a man. remus legally changed his name to remus because why change it now after years of using it. he tried to get in contact with a muggle gender clinic (because he hadn't heard about gender clinics existing in the wizard world) but was constantly denied, for years.

not until long after the first war did he get a date for his first meeting with a clinic. but after doing some examinations the doctor explained he couldn't prescribe him hormones for medical/health reasons. remus put a lot of work into passing, he kept dying his peach fuzz, painting a moustache with cheap mascara, doing voice training. he some mostly passed while taking odd jobs, but he occasionally got misgendered but was too embarassed and shy to correct them. but when someone was purposfully transphobic he hexed them when no one was looking. he also worked as a barista because i say so.

when coming back to hogwarts as a teacher in defense agains the dark arts he was happily surprised how his former teachers and now colleagues respected and supported him, never once misgendering him.

Sirius huffs. “Do you think we’d have been friends if I were a girl?”

James ponders this, humming under his breath. Sirius catches the snitch, anxiously turning it over in his fingers a few times before setting it free again. “I think so, yeah.”

Sirius lets go of a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding.

“Knowing me, I’d’ve convinced myself I was in love with you for a bit, and then realize the error of my ways and seen the light that is Lily.” James laughs, and Sirius rolls his eyes.

“I would’ve been a very good girlfriend for that period of time.”

James swoons. “I’d have hated to break your heart!”

“Oh, Prongs!” Sirius laughs. “I’d have broken yours.”

Barty took the darkest flavor to spread it on people's white clothes,

Evan took a popsicle,

Lily loved ice cream in a cup, she usually took it with cream,

Marlene ate only and exclusively mint,

Mary with coconut,

Dorcas ate nougat ice cream with lots of sprinkles on top,

Pandora ate ice cream with some strange name, like rose, papaya, passion fruit or mango.

AND THEY ALL ATE IT TOGETHER.
