roommates AU - @wolfstarmicrofic - word count: 250
"I don't know, Lils..." Remus went on, still anxiously ruminating on the topic that had been plaguing him for weeks. "It's different with blokes. They're not always as...accepting."
Lily rolled her eyes. "If your roommate can't handle the fact that you're queer, I'll fucking punch him in the throat."
Remus chuckled at this, shifting the box he was holding. Moving into Uni was certainly not fun, and he silently noted to himself that he owed Lily his life for helping. "I shouldn't've picked to have a random roommate, I should've-"
"Remus, we all know you're as anti-social as they come," Lily panted, slowly ascending the stairs to Remus's floor with the laundry basket in her arms. "You would never go to a 'Roommate Social."
Remus laughed and exited the stairwell. "Fair. Here it is- 1103! Looks like he's already-"
But he broke off, and both he and Lily stared into the small room, mouths agape.
Inside, half the room was covered in posters and stuff, with a giant pride flag stretched across the far wall. The man who could only be Remus's roommate was stretched across the bed, leather jacket hugging his lithe body and ripped jeans low on his hips, headphones messing up his stunning wavy black hair, eyes closed and foot tapping.
"I...don't think he'll be unaccepting..." Lily muttered, smirking.
But Remus realized quickly that the problem wouldn't be his roommate not accepting him.
The problem was that his roommate- his gay roommate- was fucking hot.

Prompt 22 - Roommate AU
@wolfstarmicrofic April 22, word count 938
CW - Pandora jokes about Remus getting murdered and dismembered.
Moving countries was scary. Moving to the capital city seemed scarier. Remus left his childhood home in the Welsh countryside and clambered onto the bus that would take him to London.
He’d wanted to move for years but had always been too scared. His parents had instilled in him how dangerous it would be for him not to know anyone for hundreds of miles.
One morning, while he was munching on his cornflakes, he noticed an ad in his father’s newspaper.
‘Roommate Wanted!
All bills are paid. Just pay for your own food.
Sexy, well-bred male looking for a friend/companion to share a house in a highly sought-after area of London.
Please use the number below to apply. Please, serious enquiries only. No, this is not a joke.
P.S. Must love Bowie, or we’re not going to get along.’
Remus quickly put his breakfast things away and, grabbing his phone, fled outside, typing the number into his phone as he went.
He settled under his favourite tree and pressed call.
“Hello,” A husky voice answered.
“Oi, hi. My name is Remus Lupin, and I—” He started to explain.
“Look, mate. I don’t know what you’re selling, but calling me at this ungodly hour is unacceptable. Goodbye.”
“Wait- wait. I’m not selling anything. I’m phoning about your ad!” Remus hurriedly spoke before the man could hang up.
“Oh, in that case. Hello, I’m Sirius.” Sirius suddenly sounded a lot more cheerful. “So why do you want to be my roommate?”
“Well, erm. I’ve always wanted to move to London, but I’ve been a bit worried about living there on my own.” He told Sirius, deciding the truth would be best.
“Uhuh, uhuh. Anything else?” Sirius sounded a bit bored. Remus knew he was screwing this up.
“I’m clean and tidy and don’t make much noise. I have enough money saved to pay my way—” Sirius cut him off again.
“All the bills are paid for. You only need to get yourself food.” Remus nodded even though Sirius couldn’t see him.
“Oh, right. I wasn’t sure if that bit was true. Erm, I don’t have a job yet, but I’ll start looking straight away.”
“Remus, I’m gonna stop you there. I don’t think we’re going to be a good fit. I can already tell you are the complete opposite of me. No offence, but you sound like you go to bed early and like nothing more than to sit by the fire drinking hot chocolate and reading a good book.” Sirius said honestly. He wasn’t wrong. What Sirius had just described was his usual evening routine. He had to think of something compelling to change Sirius’s mind.
“I have every David Bowie vinyl.” He blurted out.
“Really?” Sirius sounded excited now.
“Yeah, yeah, and I don’t know how you feel about T. Rex, but I have all there’s as well, and Led Zeppelin and loads of others.” All he could hear was the slight buzzing from the phones as the line went silent.
“Alright, Remus Lupin, you’ve twisted my leg. You’re the only person who’s called so far that I’ve actually managed to tolerate for more than ten seconds. So, let’s give it a go. When can you move in?” Remus sat there in shock.
“Really? You want me?”
“Sure, why not? The room’s all set up just need to bring some clothes and whatnot. I’ll text you the address, and you can let me know when you want to come. If you find it’s not for you, you can move out whenever you like. That sound okay?” Sirius spoke quickly, but Remus managed to make out all the words.
“Sounds brilliant. I’ll make arrangements and then give you a date.”
“Grand. Oh, and Remus, I really hope it works out.” With that, Sirius hung up, and Remus was left reeling.
“Oh, you’re totally getting murdered.” Pandora, his best friend, snorted when he told her he was moving to London and what the ad had said.
“No, I’m not. Sirius seems really nice.”
“Oh, sweet baby, you are so getting chopped into little bits and placed around London to look like a smiley face or something.” She’d clapped her hands together and jumped up and down on the spot.
“Gee, thanks, Pan. Love the confidence there.” He rolled his eyes and pushed down the panic that her words could actually turn out to be very true.
The bus was packed with holidayers, commuters and everything in between. Remus was glad of his noise-cancelling headphones and his favourite book. In a couple of hours, he’d be starting his new life. Everything he owned was in the compartment under the bus and was surprisingly little.
London was busier than he had ever imagined, coming from a tiny village. The noise and smells were overpowering. He got the tube from Victoria next to the coach station and rode it up to Islington.
He followed Sirius’s directions through a beautiful, tidy neighbourhood. Remus walked past a picturesque park and found the house. Number 12 Grimmauld Place loomed above him. It was far grander than he’d imagined. He walked up the front steps and used the heavy serpentine brass knocker. It thudded loudly against the wooden door. He heard scrabbling on the other side before a heavy lock clunked, and the door swung open to reveal the most beautiful man Remus had ever seen, flipping his long black hair out of his face.
“Remus?!” Sirius exclaimed joyfully. Oh boy, Remus was in trouble. He reached his hand out and shook Sirius’s before following him into the house, closing the heavy door behind him.

I'm alive! I'm back! I remembered to make time to write!
Written for @wolfstarmicrofic prompt April 23 - Teacher AU (562 words)
James sipped his drink slowly, waiting for Lily to arrive so he could meet her new coworker. Honestly, he was intrigued about the guy, having heard so much about him from his girlfriend and brother.
Hogwarts High's new English Lit teacher had been the subject of discussion between the three of them for weeks now. He and Lily apparently got on like a house on fire, and he had a curious effect on Sirius, which sparked James's curiosity.
Sirius Black, PhD in astrophysics, voted best teacher for three years running by his students, known in every bar in London for his charm, apparently lost every ounce of charisma that had earned him his reputation when talking to this Remus guy. Lily had told James all about it, how Renus had introduced himself and offered Sirius a handshake only for Sirius to bat his hand away in some kind of aborted high five, how Remus had come to Sirius's class to borrow a stapler and Sirius had spilt coffee down his shirt. Any time Remus entered the room, Sirius seemed to lose his ability to speak or control his limbs, and every time Lily spoke about him, Sirius's face turned bright red. Whoever this guy was, he must be incredibly intimidating or beautiful. There was no other explanation.
The door opened to reveal Lily, who made her way over to James and greeted him with a kiss on the cheek before heading to the bar to order. James turned to her companion as she left and introduced himself as Remus sat across from him. Immediately, James was wondering if it was possible that two Remus's had joined the Hogwarts staff.
The man in front of him was cute. His golden curls looked soft and fell into his eyes. He had a nice smile and seemed friendly, but he wasn't exactly what James expected. He was a bit too skinny, a bit lanky, and he dressed a bit like James's dad in a green sweater with elbow patches. Frankly, Remus was the least intimidating person James had ever met and while he was attractive, there was certainly nothing extraordinary about his looks. Or at least, nothing that would make Sirius act like such a fool, not in James's eyes. James was baffled, beginning to wonder if Lily had been pulling his leg with all her stories.
And then Sirius arrived.
He walked through the door with his usual grace, fixing his hair and tugging off his scarf. He spotted Lily and twirled her around as he complimented her outfit. He had a drink in his hand within seconds of reaching the busy bar and linked his arm with Lily's to head to the table. And then he spotted Remus. As Remus raised a hand to wave, Sirius stumbled over his feet, tripping into a waitress, who was luckily empty-handed, and nearly spilling his drink. Lily, thankfully, saved him and dragged him towards the table as he offered a stuttered apology to the waitress.
He ran a hand through his hair nervously as he sat down and greeted Remus. James recognised the gesture immediately from himself, sixteen and flustered by red hair and green eyes. He wasn't sure why exactly, but for whatever reason, Remus had done what James thought was impossible for almost two decades: he'd gotten Sirius to fall in love with him.

“Remus?”
Remus’ head jerks up, shoulders hunching forward, his mouth opening to tell whoever it is to fuck off, to leave him alone, when he sees who it is, and he closes his mouth.
Regulus’ lips are pressed into a thin line, his eyebrows furrowed with concern. He’s holding a few hardback books to his chest, where Remus can see the colours of his striped Gryffindor jumper. He scowls as he looks away. Of course Regulus is wearing James’ jumper.
“What do you want?” Remus finds himself snapping, a little coldly.
Regulus doesn’t say anything for such a long moment that Remus almost turns back around to check he’s still there, when he eventually speaks. “I know that my brother—”
“Sent you to apologise, has he? I don’t want to hear your sympathy for him, Regulus.”
“No one’s sent me to apologise,” Regulus says immediately.
“Why’re you here, then?”
Another silence. Remus refuses to turn around, his eyes flickering over the landscape of the hills beyond the great lake. Maybe he should take off next time the full moon comes around, run off into the forbidden forest and live with the woodland creatures. He’d fit in there. There’d be no Padfoot tailing his steps, watching his every move. Getting ready to grasp the right moment to turn him in.
He hears Regulus sigh, and then the dull thud as he sets his books down. Remus doesn’t speak as he climbs onto the windowsill opposite him, folding his long legs up to his chest.
None of them say anything. Regulus is looking outside, but Remus is looking at him out of the corner of his eye. They look so alike it almost feels like Remus is looking at another version of Sirius. At sixteen, Regulus is all sharp angles and cold, calculated silences. He’s got these green eyes outlined with a lightly darker hue that looks as if someone’s mixed green watercolours together. Eye bags lurk under them from hours spent stargazing instead of sleeping. His hair’s shorter than Sirius’, curlier, hanging over his brows and curling around his ears. Remus thinks—
“Are we going to talk, or are you going to keep comparing me to my brother in your head?” Regulus asks calmly, still staring out the window, though his eyes flick a little toward him.

wolfstar fucking read stupid? maybe there is some jealousy involved?
thank you for requesting!🖤
.
“Atta girl, sweetheart, just like that. Fuck—”
You let out a muffled whine, your wide and glossy eyes staring up at the pretty boy who threw his head back as he let out a low moan. He looked gorgeous like this, head tilted back and neck on display, the tattoos littering his torso and arms as the sounds of his pleasure echoed through the room. He was so pretty and you just never wanted to look away, never wanted to move away from that angle.
Sirius’ fingers gripped your ponytail like a handle, guiding you up and down his cock as your tongue eagerly traced along the underside of his cock. Your lips were red and swollen, a mix of spit and his precum drooling down your chin but neither of you cared as the tip of his cock hit the back of your throat.
“Merlin, you always were a fucking slut for his cock, baby,” another voice growled from behind you, large hands roughly squeezing and groping your ass. You whined around Sirius’ cock but the boy behind you just let out an amused chuckle. “Bet you would stay with his dick in your mouth forever if you could.”
Your eyes fluttered shut when Sirius’ hips roughly thrusted into your mouth.
“Maybe that would teach stupid pricks that she’s our whore,” Sirius snapped, his chest heaving with soft pants as he stared down at you, his eyes darkening in delight at the way his cock bulged in your mouth.
Sirius Black and Remus Lupin were some of the best boyfriends you could have asked for. They were caring and attentive. They loved to spoil you rotten in any way they could. And they loved reminding everyone what belonged to them—including you.
Especially you.
All it had taken was an overly-friendly project partner for the boys to see red. They got possessive and they got territorial and they happily reminded your project partner who you belonged to. And then they dragged you up to their dorm to remind you of the same.
You didn’t know how much time had passed and you honestly didn’t care. All you knew was that your whole body felt like it was on fire, you were leaking down your own thighs and you doubted you would be making it to any of your classes tomorrow but you really, really didn’t care.
“Our pretty slut,” Sirius cooed mockingly, his fingers lightly tracing the bulge in your cheek like a soft, loving action. “Can you take it or is it too much?”
You whined, wiggling your hips and both boys chuckled in response.
“She was made for us, Pads,” Remus growled from behind you, swiping the head of his cock along your soaking slit. Your eyes fluttered shut as he slapped your swollen clit with his tip a few times. “Ours. All fucking ours.”
Your moan was filthy as Remus slid into you, right down to the base of his cock until his hips were snug against your ass. Sirius tugged on your hair, keeping you locked with his cock down your throat and you felt so fucking full. Your boys—both of your boys—so deep inside you and you could have happily stayed there forever.
You saw the bright flash before you heard the familiar click of the camera, your eyes snapping open to look up at Sirius who just smirked down at you.
“Just a little reminder what a whore our girlfriend is for our cocks,” he commented casually before handing the camera to Remus, who you could only imagine had a similar mischievous glint in his eyes as Sirius did.
Your eyes fluttered shut when you felt his palm meet your ass.
CLICK!
“Our whore. Ours.”

I read this fic last summer and it was so pretty. It’s super short and sweet and it was just what I needed at the time. It’s Wolfstar meets Arthurian legend, in a modern AU.
I wanted to do some more book covers for my portfolio, so I made this one.
I want to thank @eyra for the beautiful story, I loved it. This one is for you✨💛

coffee shop au - @wolfstarmicrofic - word count: 429
“Fuck,” Sirius murmured, grabbing a rag to wipe at the coffee slowly seeping down the counter towards the very angry-looking customer.
“Is it possible to be slightly competent at making a drink?” the old man seethed. “Have you seen a coffee before? Ever used a coffee machine?”
Normally Sirius would have come up with a decent comeback. Found a way to make the old man falter while still maintaining a perfect customer-service smile. But today had been hard and he was still new to this. He’d had to take the job to make ends meet after running away, after all, and his ego was still slightly bruised that he’d gone from paying twenty euro for a coffee to making half of that per hour to pour them.
“Apologies,” he mumbled, not meeting the old man’s eyes. “Give me a moment to-”
But before he could finish, the customer behind the angry man in line cleared his throat. “If I were you,” he said, addressing the old man, “I would mind my business about being competent. Unless it’s the new style to wear your shirt inside-out.”
The old man, turning a bright red, looked down to see that, indeed, the hem of his shirt was facing outward. “It’s none of your fucking b-” he started in toward the other customer, looking livid.
“It is when you’re acting like an arse. Go fix your shirt, you look ridiculous,” the customer replied, rolling his eyes.
Furious, the old man stormed off, not even bothering to wait for his coffee.
Sirius, who had watched the whole exchange with rapt fascination, now had a clear view of the next customer. And he almost dropped the empty cup he was holding.
This customer was not old, nor was he angry-looking. He was Sirius’s age, and had brown eyes and wavy hair and tan skin that drew Sirius’s gaze in so many directions he had trouble deciding where to look. He reminded himself that staring with an open mouth was rude, but he was sorely tempted, because his savior was jarringly handsome, and suddenly his shitty day was looking a whole lot better.
“I- thank you,” Sirius muttered, trying to focus. “Erm…rough day.”
But the customer just smiled. “No problem. Nobody should be treated like that, yeah?”
Sirius could only nod. “What…what can I get for you?”
The customer smiled. “Medium iced coffee, cream and sugar.”
Trying to get back into the swing of things, Sirius turned, beginning to fill the cup.
“With your number on that cup, please.”
Crash.
Fuck. He dropped the cup again.

Prompt 21 - Dystopian AU
@wolfstarmicrofic April 21, word count 979
CW- Death by gunshot
The Earth was dead. Nothing grew apart from genetically modified mushrooms. The planet’s water was so toxic it had to be run through filters repeatedly to make it even halfway drinkable. The once beautiful green country Sirius lived in was now brown.
The HOB owned everything. They owned the food, water, phones, housing, and vehicles. Whatever you could buy. Somehow, it all led back to The HOB.
Sirius lived in an old block of flats that had been converted to house hundreds of occupants. His room was a small pod. It was barely tall enough for him to sit up in. He did, however, have a shelf, which most people would kill for. It’s the little things in life.
Most of the Earth's inhabitants, at least those with money, had bought passage on the gigantic space cruisers. They were cities in the skies, set to blast off into outer space to protect the elite from the Earth’s final days.
Sirius had helped to build these beasts, but apparently, he wasn’t good enough to be part of the crew. So he spent most of his time in a local garage helping to fix the vehicles of the same posh prats that would be leaving.
One such vehicle had an issue that took him the entire day to sort out. He pulled out a stack of paper real-life paper from the air filter box. The customer brushed him off when he came for the vehicle, and Sirius was left with the papers.
That night, he pored through the papers. He didn’t understand half of it, but he understood enough to know this was important. Sirius decided he needed to show a friend of his what he’d found.
“It’s, it’s, it’s amazing. Sirius, The HOB, has been hiding this from everyone. It’s not too late to save the Earth!” Marlene exclaimed as she typed some complicated equations into her computer.
The door burst open, and armed guards flooded into the small space. They raised their guns and shot Marlene before she could even open her mouth. Sirius ran.
He didn’t know how he got out of that room, but if he had to guess, they probably hadn’t expected him to move.
Sirius had always been fast, and he used the adrenaline coursing through his veins to run as fast as he could. The men were right behind him, though. He dashed around a corner and found himself on the airfield with the space cruisers.
He raced towards the nearest one and, with the knowledge only someone who’d helped build one, opened a secret hatch in its belly and wiggled into the cramped space.
He gulped in air as he tried to catch his breath. The hull was so dense. He had no idea if the men were still there. He’d have to leave it for a few hours at least before he tried to escape.
With the adrenaline wearing off and nothing but his thoughts to keep him company, he let the misery of Marlene’s death wash over him and focused on how it was his fault she was gone. The tears that fell from his eyes were thick and hot. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d cried.
Suddenly, a horrendous booming rumble blasted his eardrums. It took him precious moments to realise the ship was about to launch. He tried in vain to open the hatch, but once the engines were engaged, all external doorways were locked down.
The noise got louder, and he screamed as his eardrums tried hopelessly to block out the noise. He crushed his fists to them and felt the ship begin to rise.
The booming got worse, and he was crushed into the floor as the behemoth gained speed. He felt his bones rattling and shaking as the ship fought against the Earth’s gravitational pull.
After what felt like an eternity, everything stopped. He knew there would be the gentle thrum of the engines if his ears could actually pick up sounds anymore and that the ship wouldn’t feel like it was moving at all if his body wasn’t still trembling.
He reached his hand above him and unlocked the internal hatch above him. He dragged himself up into the corridor. It was made for crew and never meant to be seen by the paying passengers. He wandered along it, having no idea what he was going to do. He didn’t have permission to be here, and he didn’t put it past some of the employees on here not to just expel him into the void.
His ears popped as he walked down another corridor, and he regained some of his hearing just in time to catch the sound of boots walking towards the next bend ahead of him. He flew through the door beside him and waited for the footsteps to disappear.
Sirius glanced around the room he was in. It appeared to be sleeping quarters, and compared to his tiny pod, it was huge. Two full-sized beds, built into the wall in bunks, a door that probably led to a washroom and two sets of drawers.
Before he could plan his next move, the washroom door opened, and a tall shirtless man wrapped only in a towel, with beads of water running down his chest, walked out into the room.
“Oh, hello. I didn’t think I had a bunkmate.” He reached out a hand. “I’m Remus.” Sirius tentatively took it and shook it.
“Sirius,” He introduced himself.
“Well, hello, Sirius. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Sirius forgot all about the previous hours of his life. He’d have to find a way back to Earth and figure out a way to get the information out that would save it so that Marlene’s death wouldn’t be meaningless. But right now, all he cared about was the man with the honey eyes beaming at him.

summary - everyone sees you as this weird and crazy ravenclaw. everyone except remus and sirius. part 2
pairing - ravenclaw!reader x wolfstar
word count - ~1.5k
tw: angst | no happy ending (yet) | bullies | blood | scratches | self deprecation | she pronouns used
[part 1]
Your face stung like a swarm of bees.
The pace you were running through the corridors, causing the cold wind to cut through the cat scratches on your face were so sore. Cat scratches that had been put there purposefully by someone who didn’t like you; Darcy.
Her and her band of Ravenclaw elites thought they ran the House, including Philip who was like the devil incarnate. They have never liked you and have turned the majority of the school against you, claiming that you’re weird and crazy.
Weird? Maybe. Crazy? Well, you certainly wouldn’t use your pet cat to scratch out someone’s cheek just because you had a little more power over them.
Now you were going to have to walk in late to Potions, all because you’d left your textbook in your dorm and then had a run-in with Darcy and her cat.
You’d cleaned up the wound the best you could, but it was just so sore now.
The tears stung in your eyes, willing you to set them free. However, you had already figured out that tears in your cuts were worse than holding back the tears.
You took a deep breath before walking into the Potions class that Professor Slughorn taught.
He didn’t particularly care for favourites and he didn’t really have least favourites, but he did make a deal about his students being late to his lessons.
The door made a loud screech as it opened. Way to walk in subtly.
You kept your head down as everyone’s eyes turned to yours.
Lots of whispering started up and it no doubt had everything to the scratches down your cheek, and the fact you were never ever late.
“Ah. Nice of you to join us, Miss L/N.” Professor Slughorn spoke, making you cringe at his tone.
“Sorry I’m late, Sir.” You looked up at him and saw him cringe in return as he saw your cheek. He made no move to comment on it though.
“Take a seat now, please. See me after class for a detention.”
You shamefully dropped your head. Now your perfect record would be screwed over.
Sirius dramatically stood up from his chair, the sound of metal upon the stone floor grating everyone’s ears to pieces.
“Actually that won’t be necessary, Sir. Y/N gave me her textbook since I’d forgotten mine at breakfast, so Y/N went to the Hall for me to retrieve it. Wouldn’t want your precious textbooks going missing, Professor.”
“Oh, well, never mind then.” Slughorn shrugged. Sirius knew he was wrapped around Slughorn’s finger and used it to his advantage to save you a detention.
You looked over to him and smiled in thanks, but Sirius didn’t smile back. Neither did Remus. They were both looking at you with concern, or at least what you thought was concern. It might be anger for nearly getting them in trouble.
James tugged on Sirius’ shirt for him to sit down again. Sirius tugged away from him though, fists clenching against his sides as he watched you.
You attempted to find a seat then.
You walked over to a table full of other Ravenclaw girls in your year, but the one empty seat at the table instantly became unavailable as a girl dumped her bag on the chair next to her.
“Seats taken.”
“Oh, sorry.” You said softly, walking to another table where there were only three of them sat. Plenty of room.
You went to pull out a chair next to one of the guys there, only to realise there was black ink all over the stool for some reason - meaning it was also unavailable.
“Tough luck.” One of the boys said and the rest snickered.
“Miss L/N, why don’t you just go and sit over there.” Slughorn pointed his hand over to where an empty table was. It should’ve seated 6 people, but currently no one was sat there.
You nodded your head and quickly made your way to the table before any more attention could be drawn towards you.
It was a table at the back of the room and quite far out of sight of the blackboard, making it difficult to copy out the notes. You tried your best.
At one point during the lesson you turned your head to the wall to let out a few tears, knowing no one could see you. A few salty tears burned over your wound, but you bit on your lip to cover the sob that wanted to erupt from your chest.
This really fucking sucked.
You were all for self-wallowing, but when it was in the middle of a class you hated it.
There was a time and a place for it and it was not here and it wasn’t now.
You dug your blunt fingernails, from all the anxious biting, into your palms to suppress the emotions you wanted to let out. Focusing on the lesson and Slughorn’s words were your best chance of getting through this.
You were busy writing away, trying to keep up with the notes, when you felt someone sit down next to you. Your natural instinct was to tense and shuffle away only slightly, because who wanted to sit next to you if not to torment you further?
“Y/N?”
You were shocked to see Remus sat next to you.
“Oh, hi, Remus. Are you okay? Am I in the way or something?” You looked around you to make sure you weren’t.
“No, no! We- I mean, I, just wanted to ask you something?” He stumbled over his words.
“Sure.”
“Uh.. Well….”
“Oh my God, Remus! Are you okay?” You gasped when you saw a cut along his forehead, which was hidden beneath his hair and you’d only seen because of how close you were sitting.
So close, in fact, that you could smell his cologne: Cedar wood and… something else.
“Me? Are you seriously asking me that right now?” He looked shocked and you blushed like mad.
“I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have asked, it wasn’t my place. I apologise.” You shook your head and tried to refocus on your work.
“Y/N…” Remus said ever so softly.
His voice was so pretty. So delicate.
Sirius’ was more rough and deeper. Both were a song to listen to.
You didn’t reply, thinking that if you just ignored them he wouldn’t be mad at you anymore. Because he was mad, right? You shouldn’t have questioned something so personal about him.
“Y/N?” He asked again.
You’d never get over hours name sounded coming from him.
Slowly, you tilted your head towards him. Instead of being met with a furious gaze you were met with something much softer. His warm eyes looked troubled.
You looked at him nervously, hoping for the best out of whatever this situation was.
He reached up a hand towards your face, a couple of rings placed on his ridiculously well structured fingers. You followed the movement of his hand, whilst Remus followed your eyes.
His fingers carefully brushed your fallen hair that covered your cheek and only slightly pushed it to the side, his fingers barely touching your skin.
You let out a shaky breath.
You were one to wear your emotions on your sleeve and Remus had you feeling very nervous in that moment. Not nervous like you’d been around Darcy or Philip. A different kind. A better kind.
“Who did this to you?” He asked.
You looked up to see him studying the cuts like you’d seen him in the library studying for a test. He was trying to map out all the details of your scratches, so it seemed.
“What?”
“Please, Y/N. Let us know who did this to you? Hell, even what did this?”
“Us?” Was the word you chose to focus on.
“Yes—.”
“Mr Lupin, there’s a time and a place for funny business and it won’t be in my classroom.” Slughorn broke whatever moment had happened between you and Remus.
Remus had been quick to drop your hair, apologise and return to his seat.
Your cheeks flushed red with the thought of someone catching you looking, almost, intimate with Remus.
Oh God.
What if Sirius had seen?
You looked over to where Remus had rejoined Sirius. Remus was whispering to Sirius whilst you watched Sirius’ jaw click.
The chill that surpassed you when Sirius turned to face you across the room told you everything you needed to know.
Stay. The hell. Away. From. My boyfriend.

As Slughorn finished the class Remus quickly tried to stuff everything into his satchel before everyone left without him.
“C’mon! Hurry up!” Sirius urged him - only because he obviously didn’t have his own bag and made Remus carry everything.
“Shut it.” Remus snipped, shoving his textbook in his bag before grabbing his cloak and moving.
“Hey, calm down.” Sirius tried to soothe him, slipping his hand into Remus’.
“Calm down— Are you insane?”
“A bit.”
“How am I supposed to be calm when half of Y/N’s face is missing?” Remus whisper shouted and Sirius quickly pushed him back against a stone wall for a time-out.
“Calm down. I mean it, Rem.”
Remus let the cool of the stone wall sink in through his skin and allow him to breathe again.
He didn’t know what was coming over him recently.
“Y/N’s gone now, because I couldn’t pull myself together.” Remus sighed.
Sirius brought his hand up to cup underneath Remus’ chin lightly, making it so he had no choice but to look at him.
“Look at me.” Remus tried to move away, but Sirius’ hands held strong. “Hey, don’t. Look at me. We are going to find Y/N and get to the bottom of whatever has happened, okay? But you need to calm down first.”
Remus let his shoulders exhale and he nodded. “Okay.”
Sirius smiled, leaning in to give Remus a few kisses. One for listening to him and another just because he loved him so much. Sirius could really feel Remus calming down after those.
“I just… Y/N is… she means…” Remus struggled to find the right words to say, but it didn’t really matter.
“I know. She means the same to me.”
Sirius rested his forehead against Remus, as they calmed each other and maybe one day hoping you’d be right there beside them.

Sirius reaches out with his fingers and touches the corner of the desk. "It was nice talking to you again, Mr. Lupin."
Mr. Lupin looks up at him over the top of his glasses, and gives him a smile, saying, "You too, Sirius," sounding like he might even mean it.
From @fiveht ’s Adore Series on Ao3. I’ll be returning to these two in the future but here’s a start. Professor Lupin and Mechanical Engineering Student Pocket Rocket Brat Baby Boy Sirius.
Sneak peak.
