-I think, usually, Lo'ak won't be the first to initiate a kiss, either because he’s afraid of rejection or just because he's too embarrassed to do it, Kiri will surely come and make mouth noises behind you which will make him even more embarrassed.

-He loves your back, i don’t know why but he loves it. He would surely spend hours in a little hidden corner caressing your back without doing anything else.

-In public he will surely not do more than hold your hand or kiss your cheek if you really want to, his ego and his heart do not allow him to bear the remarks of his two sisters.

-Lo'ak lives for you to touch his hands. Not like you're holding them, more like you're giving him little massages, or sometimes laying it on your chest so he can hear your heartbeat.

-Your first kiss will surely be due to a fall or you will have to do it yourself. Lo'ak is the type to play it cool even though deep down I think he must have a great lack of self-confidence, so you will have to take upon yourself and take the first step.

-The first time you bond with each other will surely be a few months after you get together. Lo'ak will only be with you if he is sure that his love is unconditional, so after a few months he will be ready to share this experience with you.

-Neteyam has no problem initiating physical contact, he usually likes it. Having you against him in complicated moments reassures him and he doesn't see why he should be embarrassed to take you against him when you're together.

-He loves your face, he spends a lot of time when you sleep next to him running his fingers over all the features of your face and will surely try to learn them by heart. He finds your smile when you sleep extremely adorable and will surely drop little kisses all over your face to wake you up.

-With his clan or anyone Neteyam will have no problem showing that you are together, he preferred that everyone know it. He will therefore have no scruples and will surely kiss you in front of everyone or whisper sweet nothings or jokes in your ear while the others are watching you discreetly.

-He really likes you touching his cheeks, when he comes home from a mission he will find your hands against his cheeks comforting and willsnuggle up against one of the two before kissing your palm. He loves lying there with you, just caressing your faces for hours.

-Your first kiss will happen naturally, there is no embarrassment in your couple so after a few days, probably just before going hunting, he will kiss your lips and then leave as if nothing had happened.

-Just like his parents the first time you will bond will be near the tree of souls. Like his brother he will be sure of his feelings when you get together so it will probably be after a few months, maybe a little more than Lo'ak, 9 or 10 months.

-I think Spider doesn't particularly have a problem being the one to initiate contacts, although he likes it when you take the initiative. He is mischievous and will enjoy teasing you before kissing you or scaring you before stealing a kiss and running away.

-Spider is a big fan of your ears as well as your tail. He doesn't have any so being able to touch them while you're not doing anything in particular soothes him a lot, he finds your reactions adorable and would surely be able to fall asleep holding the end of your tail.

-Spider is not ashamed to show others that you are together, so he will not be embarrassed to kiss you in public, although it does not often cross his mind. He is so taken by your adventures and spending time with the people he loves that most of the time he will not think of kissing you, and yet he loves it!! It's just not his main activity.

-He really likes you to touch his chest, just a hand placed against his heart after a sad event will do him good, or he will often ask you to paint his chest while repeating that animals respect him more with it.

-You clearly kissed after the declaration, Spider was so happy that you returned his feelings that he couldn't wait.

-Spider unfortunately doesn't have a queue and knows the traditions of the Na'vi, so he will be extremely disappointed not to be able to have this experience with you, he will even ask Norm if it was still possible to create Avatars . You will have to reassure him and give him even more attention in this kind of moment.

-Ao'nung will surely initiate more in private, he is not embarrassed but as the next leader he has to keep a certain image so he preferred not to look too "crazy in love". You will have to wait a little before having him just for you.

-I'm sure he's a big fan of your waist. He likes to pull you close by it and keeping his arms around you. During important moments he will keep an arm around your waist to be ready to protect you in case of trouble or just because he likes to feel you close to him.

-Again, Ao'nung has a role to play, so he can't do whatever he wants. He would have no problem kissing you or cuddling you in front of others, he just can't do it all the time and has to contain it most of the time.

-He likes you to touch his neck, the shivers he feels every time do him good and he will often laugh discreetly before passing his hand on yours to bring it to his lips. Be careful not to go down on his back if you don't want to be forced to stay in his arms for hours enduring his kisses.

-For me, your first kiss was done in anger, Ao'nung had surely returned hurt from a hunt that should normally last one or two hours and no more, after pulling his ears you kissed him and he let himself go, quite happy.

-Ao'nung will surely not wait very long to offer you to bond. He loves you and wants to be sure that you will only be his, jealous boy. It might pass be three or four months before he asks you. He will have to do it well and will take you to a place that only he knows.

It’s a bit foreign to him since has no prior experience. So at first he’s very shy with it and even hesitates before he even tries to hold your hand. As your relationship progresses and his confidence grows he is more natural with it but outright telling him things you prefer he not do in public and encouragement of certain acts of affection is highly appreciated.

In most situations, public and private he just likes being close to you or touching in some sort of way. Your touch and presence is always something that’s comforted him greatly. So he won’t have a full in make out session in public but he won’t disagree with it if you do it in the when your in a more private place.

James Lee

Little to no PDA exists at all. Since he’s an idol and everyone knows how crazy fans get when celebrities have a romantic relationship of any sort and he wants you to be safe, he rarely approaches in public. Now he will keep an eye on you and likewise have hidden security for you, he won’t have any physical contact with you if it’s not necessary and any loving words are so quiet that the room has to be silent enough for a pin to drop if you want to hear it. Sometimes he gets tired of this and will look for a remote place just so you two can have a proper date.

In private it’s a different story. Since he is in public quite often he’s a bit touch-starved. He’s far more passionate and often initiates any sort of physical activity, be it kissing, hugging, touching, or any bedroom activities. He talked more often too and a lot of suggestive things are said so try not to get too flustered.

Vasco

Regardless of private or public, he’s very affectionate (not sexually though). Although Vasco is very unintentional with his touches as it’s more of him being comfortable with you with you.

He wants to feed the ducks? He’s holding your hand and dragging you along.

You look particularly cute that day? He holds your face and tells you the exact same thing.

He’s about to fight a bad guy? Vasco picks you and placed you somewhere safe.

Even if you’re not very comfortable with it, never holding back with you it’s something subconscious he does so you may find a hand holding yours when he’s not really thinking about it.

Julian

Oh, he gets it

Sure, he never hesitates to ask for what he wants, but that doesn't mean he thinks he deserves any of it

He can recognize those moments of doubt in your eyes as soon as they appear, because he knows exactly what they feel like on his own face

Which makes his heart ache for you, he knows how crappy that feels and of all the people he knows you deserve it the least

Normally when this happens his instinct is to fawn over you to the point of becoming a public embarrassment

This usually works, but sometimes when you hit a rut like this you just need something to get you out of your own head and enjoy the life you've built for yourself

He's taking you dancing

It helps everything! Focusing on the motions gets you out of your head, it's a fantastic way to initiate some physical contact, and by the time you're worn out you've had too much fun to keep worrying

Until he met you, he went through life with a total of one (1) friend who had a crippling combination of wanderlust and attachment issues

The fact that he's able to have a relationship with you at all is a miraculous win in his mind

He knows he's not the best at expressing his feelings, but if it's your self-esteem on the line he will learn and he will do his best

The first time he hears you voice your insecurities he's dropping whatever he's doing and sitting next to you

He'll take your hand and wait, as patiently as you need him to, until you've told him everything that's bothering you

He's not the most eloquent person, but he knows the importance of responding to your doubts and he'll painstakingly address each one, out loud, telling you that it's not true and why

On a day to day basis, he makes a point of acknowledging all the ways you make his life better with little words or smiles or touches

She's a generally easy going person, she knows all her own faults and how to acknowledge and live with them

However, she has her own brand of low self-esteem and it fuels her workaholic tendencies

So much of her life has revolved around the people next to her being the main characters that she has a hard time seeing herself as having any relevance unless she's playing a support role

And then one day she hears you, the exciting, mysterious magician who turns every day into an adventure, casually question your own worth and relevance out loud

She has to process it for a moment before she can respond. Important people experience this too? This isn't in her novels

She'll ask you about it right away. What do you mean when you say that? Why do you think that?

Talking to you proves two things to her: that her own feelings do not make her unimportant, and that you are not as indestructible as she assumed you were

She'll write her favorite qualities down about you and have you do the same, and now you say your affirmations to each other every morning

Lucio

This guy had questioned himself maybe three times in his life before he met you

He thinks he's an above-average dude on his humbler days. He hates acknowledging his oopsies because the consequences scare him, not because he thinks they make him a bad person

He adores you, you keep the world in perspective for him, and he knows how important that and the way you've helped him grow is

But he subconsciously contributes to your struggles at first. Any unique trait is teasing material to him, it never occurred to him that the stuff he comments on might be sensitive for you

Until the day he notices you change your appearance and have a hard time responding to him

Why did you change your clothes to hide that part of your body? Why don't you take credit for your work any more? Why don't you believe him when he compliments you?

When you manage to tell him, he feels awful about it. He doesn't know what it's like to be insecure, but he does know what it's like to want somebody's approval and acceptance

It'll take a while, but he'll prove all the doubts he caused wrong and then tackle the rest. How is he supposed to shine without you as a light source anyway?

Summary: Minho and reader just started dating, and she's a little worried about being ace (dw it all works out in the end)

Note: this fic is technically a continuation of Classic, but it can also be read as a standalone. Classic was initially in the same post as this, but I separated the parts to make them shorter

Warnings: internalised aphobia?? not really but just in case, language (Glader slang)

You've been dating Minho for a while now, and it's a long time before you have to address... it. As happy as you are, you're pretty nervous about having a relationship with Minho.

While you haven't really gone 'public' yet, you know that it's only a matter of time before the other Gladers find out.

When that happens, there's gonna discussions about your relationship and invasive questions and ugh, you just don't want to deal with it.

You're mainly scared for the bolder Gladers to ask about being physical. Minho hasn't said anything about sex yet, but the topic has got to come up sooner or later, and you stress yourself out at night waiting for that conversation.

You've known for a while that sex is... completely off the table for you, and you're scared that he'll want to leave you because of that. You know Minho isn't the type of guy to make a big deal out of it, and he'll be really nice about it at least for the first bit. But after a while, you're sure that having a sexless relationship will get old real fast.

You confided in Newt about it once, and he advised you to just talk it out with Minho.

That's easier said than done, though. You know that, respectful as he is, Minho is still a teenage boy with teenage hormones in a Glade where you're the only girl.

Plus, you already know that he's just holding back for you. He's pulled away from making out on multiple occasions because of a problem... further south, and you know that he's waiting for you to be ready.

He's being patient, and it's great, but the issue is that you'll never be ready. For you, sex is something you neither need nor want.

It's been alright so far, since you've just ignored the problem and kept the relationship limited to the kisses and little dates you manage to pull together in such a restricted space.

But, it all comes to a head one day when you're spending a late night in the Runners hut.

When you've both gotten tired of poring over the maps, Minho starts leaning in to drop light kisses around your face. You giggle as his lips brush against your jawline.

You love it when he does that, because it gives you a heads up that you're probably gonna be making out soon. And he's not even doing it with that intention, it's just a cute thing he does when he's bored with work.

You turn to him, forgoing the maps as you wrap your arms around his neck and pull him in to deepen the kiss.

That's when things start to get a little too heated, and it all goes to shit.

He's moving his hands around more than usual, and he's brushing over your ass and chest in a way that may or may not be intentional; you can't really tell.

Either way, you're hyperaware of every point of contact, and it starts to be too much. You can feel your heartrate speeding up, not in the good way, and-

"Y/n." Minho breaks away from the kiss and gently cups your face with a hand. "Hey, you with me?"

You nod and give him a smile, leaning in again, but he pulls back. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, fine."

"Ohh. Is this about... being physical?" he realises. "Listen, we can take as much time as-"

You back away, shaking your head. "I don't-" Your voice catches as you try to speak, and your vision starts to blur. Shuck, now you're crying.

You tilt your head up, staring at the roof as you blink rapidly.

"Y/n, hey. Just come and sit." You let him guide you to the table. "Talk to me, please."

You take a deep breath... and still no words come out. You close your eyes, processing your thoughts first before speaking.

"I don't... want sex." You meet his eyes as you tell him the truth. "As in; ever. I just- it's not an option for me. The thought of having sex, doing anything sexual at all, and just, all that kind of stuff happening to me... it makes me feel sick. I just- I can't."

"Oh," says Minho. "Alright. Okay. That's fine."

"Minho..."

"No, I'm serious. Listen, it's okay."

"How can it be okay? You want sex. I can feel it, when we're together."

"How can you feel it? What, do I just look at you with sex eyes? Because I promise-"

"No, I feel it. Against my hip."

"Oh." Minho's face reddens considerably, and he lets out an awkward laugh. "Okay, well. That's a me problem. I can- I can deal."

"I just- Minho. I know how important that kind of intimacy is to people. What if we stay together, and you're never satisfied? What if I'm not enough for this relationship?"

Minho lets out a stunned breath. "Not enough? Y/n, you are everything, my whole world. Every day I wake up and I get to see your smile. I get to run with you, and laugh with you. I get to be with you. You think not having sex is gonna break all that?"

"But sex is..."

He shakes his head. "Maybe I've been doing a shitty job then, if you really think you wouldn't be enough without sex."

"Y/n." He takes your hands and looks you in the eye. "I love you. And I realise we haven't said that, but I think now's as good a time as any for you to know. I love you, and this isn't gonna change anything."

You give him a watery smile. "I love you too. But it's still-"

"Okay. Full disclosure, I can take care of myself. Most guys here are taking care of themselves. Someone probably is, like, right now."

At your wrinkled nose and mildly grossed-out expression, he winces. "Right. Let's set some boundaries. No talking about sex?"

"Um, talking about sex in general is usually okay. Sex jokes are actually pretty shuckin' funny sometimes. But the way you did it just then was... I don't know. Icky?"

"Okay, sure. Talk about it normally unless you're uncomfortable. Easy. What about with us? Where should I avoid when we're- Shit, do you hate kissing too? God, I'm so sorry." He looks at you worriedly. "Shuck, Y/n. We've been making out like, every day. You should've told me earlier. I'm so-"

"Minho, no, don't worry about that, it's okay. I actually... love kissing. Kissing you, I mean." You duck your head, blushing slightly. "Making out is fun most times too, but some days it's a lot. Tongues and stuff are... overwhelming sometimes. It depends on the day."

"Make sure you let me know, okay? Promise me."

"I promise," you say, smiling. "And with touching... normal contact is fine. It's good, actually. I love cuddling, and when you pull me in by the waist. And everything else too. I'll tell you if anything is bad."

"Okay." He reaches out to take your hand. "So we're all good?"

"We're all good."

"I love you."

You pull him closer by his shirt, and he melts against you as you kiss him.

"Love you too."

"Ooh, Y/n and Minho spent the night together," sings Ben when you walk out of the hut and move to the dining area. Keepers have their own huts, so you'd slept in Minho's that night.

You let out a laugh at what he's implying and grin at Newt's knowing smile.

You feel arms wrap around your waist as Minho walks up behind you. He presses a kiss on the top of your head and moves to get food.

When he returns, he hands you a plate of food, complete with your favourite fruits from the gardens, and slides into the seat next to you.

"Fuck," he hisses as he bumps his leg on the bench.

"Fuck indeed," says Ben with a shit-eating grin.

You snort. "Slim it, Ben." Newt rolls his eyes on your behalf.

"Well, how was it?" asks another boy, leaning in interestedly.

"A gentleman doesn't tell," comments Minho, pointing dramatically. "What happens behind closed doors..."

"So he was shit, wasn't he," says Ben to you.

You shrug. "Well, I'm very satisfied from last night."

You laugh at their supportive and slightly lewd cheers.

As Minho meets your eyes with a smile, you think back to last night.

You'd exchanged soft kisses and cuddled until you fell asleep wrapped up in his arms.

"Yeah, see? I'm fantastic in bed."

This is so lame idk how to end a fic besides 'i love you' like please be more imaginative

Billy is really easy to get along with and makes an excellent friend. It starts from a simple conversation and then goes from there. Eventually he is purposefully seeking them out just to ask about their day.

Billy loves to cuddle. If he's in bed with his partner than it's pretty much a guarantee that he'll have an arm wrapped around them.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Billy is desperate to get married and have kids. He's not particularly domestic, he comes from an era when women were expected to cook and clean, so his partner shouldn't expect much help around the house. He will do all he can to provide for his family though.

Billy would take this hard, it would crush him to have to do. He'd do it in person and be incredibly gentle with his words, but likely struggle to get them out and get choked up.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

As soon as Billy feels as though he's fallen in love he's ready to pop the question.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Billy is a big softie, he's incredibly gentle with his partner. He may not always be the most thoughtful with his words, but he'd never, ever intentionally hurt his partner's feelings, and he feels awful about it if he does so accidentally.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Billy likes hugs, but is rarely the one to instigate them. He blushes at the close contact, and having his arms around someone he has feelings for makes him feel like his heart is going to hammer its way out of his chest. He'll place a gentle hand to the back of their head and then wrap his other arm around them and rub their back.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He'll go bright red and stammer it out the first time he's certain he feels it - Billy falls in love fast.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Billy will get jealous if he thinks another person is flirting with his partner, but he won't act angrily about it. He'll be sad and get upset thinking that perhaps they don't want him anymore. It's like kicking a puppy.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Billy mostly gives kisses on the cheek, they are soft and chaste. Kisses on the lips are in private and they are slow, gentle and tender.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Billy loves kids and they love him. He can't wait to start a family.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Billy's job at the hotel means he has to get up early. He has a quick cup of tea, gives his partner a kiss on the cheek and then is out the door.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

He's back late from work and usually ready for dinner, a bath and bed most days. On the rare occasion he gets an evening off, he'll offer to take his partner out on the town or simply stay at home playing a card game (though he's not very good at them)

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Billy has nothing to hide, he's not boastful, but will gladly tell his partner about himself if they ask.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Billy is easily flustered and embarrassed, but he rarely loses his temper, he's too much of a gentle soul.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Billy is incredibly forgetful, and prone to losing things. It's not deliberate, he's just a natural scatter brain. However, he makes up for it by being incredibly thoughtful. The type of partner to bring you stuff with the sentiment "I saw this and thought of you."

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

The first time he ever saw his partner laugh - it warms his heart, because they were laughing with him, not at him, and the sight of their happy face is something he'd never thought looked more beautiful.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Billy is not particularly strong or scrappy, but he will defend his partner if he feels his needs to. He gets made fun of a fair bit and is given a hard time, so he'd be over the moon if he had someone to stick up for him.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Billy is there with a bunch of flowers and a shy smile for every special occasion, ready to show his partner just how much he loves them. On an every day basis, he is sure to tell his partner he loves them and gives them a kiss on the cheek to express that.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Forgetfulness, clumsiness, disorganisation.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Not particularly, though he likes to keep his hair well groomed.

Billy can manage okay on his own, but would prefer not to.

1. Who is the most affectionate?

It really depends on the situation.

In public, it’s definitely Ryan. He’s the most comfortable initiating affection in public of the two of them and loves how flustered Johnny gets when he does so he’s always the one who gives kisses, hugs, or hold hands first in those situations. Plus, in most of his past relationships, the only time affection was show was when others could see and comment on it, so being affectionate in public is really the only area he’s used to.

In private however, Johnny’s absolutely the most affectionate. That boy’s love language is definitely physical contact and while he’s not that confident about it in public and will become a flustered mess, in private he’s always hugging and kissing his boyfriend, dancing with him, or even just siting close to him. Ryan’s not the most used to that so Johnny gets to see how he reacts to affection in public displayed by his boyfriend when they’re alone.

They do both talk about it beforehand to make sure they’re both comfortable with all levels of affection shown however, because again, communication is key in a relationship and they both like each other way to much to make the other uncomfortable.

3. Most common argument?

They actually don’t argue much, especially due to how important communication is to Johnny (with the whole disownment and that stuff from the first movie) and Ryan both. The only thing that they actually will fight about to the extent where they both need to step away from the situation for a minute is taking care of themselves (emotionally in particular).

Both of them have a tendency to overwork themselves and bury their true emotions on things. However, when the other one does this, they will get irritated that they aren’t taking care of themself (ignoring the fact that they do the same thing). These arguments just stem out of their worry for one another and typically end within two days max of the argument starting. It’s another reason why both of them agreed early on in their relationship that it was probably a good thing they were both in therapy so they could work through those issues professionally.

They really hate fighting though, and whenever they do they’re extremely affectionate for like the next two weeks to make up for it to each other (Johnny cooks a lot, Ryan cleans their room, etc).

11. Who initiates kisses?

I feel like this is another “It depends on the situation” type things.

At first, only Ryan really would. he was just the most comfortable initiating affection and he still is the one who does most of the time when they’re in public.

After a month or so, Johnny kinda got used to the whole “boyfriend” thing and started doing so as well and absolutely initiates the most in private. He technically was the one who initiated their first kiss though (they both brushed it off as part of the show and continued to ignore their clearly reciprocated feelings for like 5 months) and has not lived that down with Ryan or any of their friends or family.

15. Who says I love you first?

Johnny said I love you first. It was during a scene change in the show one night. Their microphones were off for like 12 seconds and Johnny just turned to Ryan and said "I love you" straight to his face. Ryan couldn't say anything for a bit (partially out of shock, mainly due to their mikes turning back on) but as soon as they were off again, he kissed his boyfriend and said "I love you too, you jerk". Needless to say Ryan was a bit irritated at Johnny for saying that when he knew he couldn't respond but he was too happy to stay mad for long.

24. One headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart.

The absolute pain they were in around each other at first. Though he knew he was a completely different and absolutely amazing person, Johnny still struggled with not thinking about Ryan as an extension of Klaus for their first few weeks of spending time with each other (before they go together). This was because of the first times he met Ryan, he was in a close vicinity to Klaus and was treated as the man’s favourite. Johnny does try his best to separate the two in his head, it was just hard for him when dance training started back up at first.

For Ryan, it was also painful to dance with Johnny then as well, but for a different reason. He blamed himself for what Johnny had gone through with Klaus and for not being able to stop it (even though he was a victim of the man as well). Because of this guilt, the first few dance classes between the two at the Majestic stay don’t go very well for either of them with anxiety and panic attacks for Johnny and breakdowns for Ryan being pretty common.

However, they two do eventually talk it out and work through that trauma together so the pain for both of them doesn’t last long.

Chicago police officer charged with sexual misconduct while on duty

A Chicago police officer has been charged with sexual misconduct while on duty after prosecutors say he inappropriately touched a woman in custody last year.

Officer Stephan Shaw, 32, made his first court appearance Tuesday at the Leighton Criminal Court Building, where he was charged with two counts of custodial sexual misconduct and one count of official misconduct.

Judge William Fahy ordered him released with conditions, including not contacting any witnesses in the case.

Cook County prosecutors did not seek detention in the case.

If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison.

The charges come nearly a year after a woman accused Shaw of sticking his hands down her pants and touching her inappropriately after she was arrested for shoplifting from a Michigan Avenue department store in May 2023.

The victim also told authorities that she was forced to touch him during the booking process at the (Near North) 18th District police station, according to court documents.

During an initial appearance hearing, Assistant State’s Attorney Heather Weber said Shaw was on duty in full uniform when the woman was arrested and taken to the station at 1160 N. Larrabee St. She was handcuffed to a wall in a holding area, Weber said.

Shaw made sexually suggestive comments, and touched the woman under and over her clothes, Weber said.

He also placed her hand on his pelvic region, she said.

After she was released from custody, the woman and Shaw exchanged messages on Facebook messenger about her next court date, Weber said.

Shaw referenced getting pizza with her, and she responded with a heart emoji, she said.

The woman told her mother that night, Weber said, and reported it to the Chicago Police Department the next day.

The woman later reported the incident to a police supervisor and the Civilian Officer of Police Accountability, which investigates misconduct allegations.

A COPA spokeswoman said the case remains under investigation.

Weber said Shaw was relieved of his police powers upon arrest. Fahy ordered the defense to provide proof to the state’s attorney’s office when Shaw surrenders his weapon.

Shaw’s attorney Tim Grace said there was “zero” physical or corroborating evidence.

He said the holding cell door was open the whole time, and that the woman became “combative” with officers.

A Police Department spokesman said Shaw was relieved of his duties this week.

Public records show he joined CPD in June 2022.

The woman also has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against Shaw.

That case is still pending.

According to the federal lawsuit, Shaw told the woman — who is referred to as “Jane Doe” — that he was sexually aroused by her and then began touching her.

He forcibly placed her hands on the front of his pants in an effort to demonstrate his attraction to her, the lawsuit states.

He then friended her on Facebook and suggested they go out for pizza sometime, the lawsuit states.

“During her three hours in the processing room at the 18th District, Jane was subjected to a barrage of sexually explicit comments and propositions by Defendant Shaw, one of her arresting officers, who repeatedly asked Jane if she would have sex with him, if she would let him touch her posterior, and if she wanted to touch his penis,” the federal lawsuit states.

The woman’s attorney told the Tribune the incident occurred in a booking room, with people constantly entering and leaving.

“He did this in full view, with people walking in and out,” attorney Jordan Marsh said. “The fact that this officer knows enough about the Chicago Police Department to know he can do this and he’s confident (in the moment) that he’s not going to get in trouble tells you all you need to know about the Chicago Police Department.”

the Touchiest of the liyue boys

he just really, really fond of touching you, whether it be with his fingers through your hair or having you a hand on your lap.

the first time he wanted to touch you, he actually asked (yes, verbally) if you were okay with him doing so

at least one of his acts with you could be orthodox, yeah? although, looking back on it now, he supposes that he was attempting to be a bit more serious and wasn’t sure how to convey the sentiment when his reputation often preceded him

since then, he’s made a habit to have you next to him at all times

you don’t mind, since his attention is admittedly nice, but understandably neither of you want to display affection towards each other in the presence of his coworkers.

if you were to be in public, such as walking down the streets of liyue, then he’d have his fingers laced between yours

if he were to be in a particularly good mood that day, he’d actually have you hook your arm around his. you’re not sure why – but maybe it’s because more of you would be pressed against him that way.

an avid displayer of fleeting touches. some are playful, like tapping his finger on your nose to get your attention, while others are slightly more teasing, like trailing his fingers up your thigh when you’re working and really shouldn’t be getting distracted.

so long as you’re next to him, he’ll find any excuse possible to have himself on you.

you’re cold? take his coat, but also a complimentary hug because wow he’s kinda sorta warm for a snezhnayan native.

got work to do? he’ll stroll over to you every once in a while, claim he’s checking on you, and then place a kiss on your cheek as “encouragement.”

just got home from a long day out? take some time to lay on top of him, he makes for a comfy mattress

his favorite ways to touch you: gloves off, thumb rubs against the back of your hand, hands cradling your neck or squeezing your hips in more passionate moments. especially enjoys contact the more of your body he feels. not sexual all the time, but definitely sensually pleasing. he’s reassured when he feels you next to him.

chongyun

chongyun is relatively inexperienced in acting out his romantic impulses.

hand holding? yeah, sure, he knows it’s what people do, but apparently there something about interlacing fingers . . . ?

also, there are different ways to hug? he thought that just wrapping his arms around your shoulders would be fine, but is there a specific instance where he should “back hug” you?

he thinks there should be a lover’s manual for how to go about with physical touch, but sadly there isn’t, and he’s left by himself to make sense of his confusion.

he’ll have to learn first-hand – something he quickly realizes he won’t mind.

chongyun’s touches will reflect his nature: gentle and initially somewhat shy, but he will gradually become more confident as time goes on.

the first time he tries to initiate hand-holding with you, you’re sitting next to each other on the couch

you can tell something’s a bit off by how he’s staring straight into your skull, as if he’s conflicted over something even when there’s nothing to be distressed about –

and he lifts his hand, hesitantly, and you swear that he’s shaking, before he mumbles something along the lines of “screw this” and just

places the tips of his fingers over the back of your hand and

just leaves them there

and you’re blinking, not quite sure what to make of his awkwardness, before connecting the dots when you see him absolutely red in the face.

he’s startled when he hears you laugh, and especially when you move your hand to securely grasp his own.

you’re warm, incredibly so, and when he looks up from his lap to affirm that he hasn’t made a complete mess of the mood, you’re there to give him a pat on the head.

“y-yeah. can we stay like this? hey! no, don't laugh – ”

the take-away: soft boy. will realize that he loves it when you squeeze his hands but will be flustered when admitting it. also internally enjoys it when you put your chin atop his head, and when you let him put his hand on your shoulder. will become more confident over time with showing affection, whether it be through light touches or shy pecks.

scaramouche

scaramouche is admittedly one of the more destructive harbingers

meaning he wouldn’t be one to be gentle in the slightest

probably doesn't even know that hugging is supposed to be an act of affection and instead registers it as another method to crush someone’s chest

the least likely out of the liyue boy to even be in a romantic relationship

but in the off chance that he is,

warm affection won’t be on the menu unless you’re in a dream sequence.

yes, he might not be as irritable around you. yes, he won’t immediately scowl at your presence, and maybe even request for you to be beside him once in a while.

but that is a far cry from assuming stable, healthy intimacy.

the closest he’s ever gone to touching you kindly is by pulling you towards him – nearly winding you with his forcefulness – and insisting that you play with his hair

(definitely a pushy one, and it would be endearing if not for the fact that he does not know how to interact constructively with others.)

so it’ll take time, lots of explanations and dialogue to tell him that no, he doesn’t have to be so rough with his grasp, and yes, it does bother you and you’d insist that he learn to be gentler before touching you again.

Kenma felt movement but ignored it, thinking it was just you getting comfortable. But when he didn’t hear your small cheers or nudges when he won the round he looked back to see you’re not there. Slight panic rose in him. He shrugged it off at first. Though his thoughts started to get to him. Were you getting bored of him? Did you feel ignored? Wait...did you leave?

Kenma paused the game, and was out of the room in seconds. He made his way downstairs in a hurry, but instead he breathed a sigh of relief. You were rummaging through the fridge. Probably looking for something quick, but his parents haven’t went shopping so he knew it was nothing there. An idea came to his head, covering half of his face with his hand. He pursed his lips and hoped he didn’t embarrass himself.

As you were raiding looking through the fridge, you heard a small ‘fuck it’ and felt arms wrap around your waist. You looked back in shock, essentially freezing on the spot as you looked at him dumbfounded. And to be fair Kenma almost never initiated physical contact. So you just kind of looked at him. You were kind of taking in this moment. Kenma stopped breathing, his face flushed. It turning red, going down his neck.

“I-I’m sorry, that was stupid, you probably hated that. I-“

Kenma grimanced and hid his face, rushing back up to his room. You called out to him but the door was already closed when you did. You sighed in annoyance at yourself. You looked into the room lit by the bright TV screen to see a hump under the fluffy cat themed blanket on the bed. You slap a hand over your mouth to keep yourself from laughing. Instead you crawl onto the bed, stopping right by him. Rubbing his back, he jumped at your touch then seemingly sinking further into the mattress.

“Ken? I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to not respond, it’s just you usually don’t start a hug I got so surprised.”

A moment of silence passed, you hear a huff, he scooted away from you. You couldn’t help the small smile that made its way onto your face, you took out your phone, snapping a picture. You laugh into your hand but go back to rubbing his back.

“Aww c’mon Ken don’t be like this, I’m sor-“

“I should be saying sorry, it’s not your fault. You probably didn’t like my scrawny arms around you anyway...I’ve also not been talking to you as much as I should and you probably hate me.”

You deadpanned at him, then yanked the blanket off him. You swore your heard a small squeal but decided to ignore it. “Y’know, you said a lot of ‘probables’. Stop assuming things without talking to me, you know I love you. I won’t ever judge you like that Kenma. Plus I expected you to be like this when we got into it in the first place. I wouldn’t get with someone I’m not attracted to Ken. So stop all that insecure stuff before I kiss it out of you.” Kenma face heated up at that, he looked anywhere but you, flustered that you said it with such confidence. You placed a hand onto his cheek. He looked shocked at first, but it was replaced by a small smile adorning his pretty features, he gently caressed your hand.

But you ultimately decided to ruin the moment when you flicked his forehead as you got up.

“Alright get your dorito dust headass up cause we’re gonna order takeout.”

Siuan is more affectionate than Moiraine - in large part because she clearly grew up with a doting father than the distant Cairhienin bullshit Moiraine was raised with. Even in the scenes we get with them, Siuan is usually the one to initiate physical contact. Most of the romantic lines also come from Siuan, as well as the cutesy pet names that make Moiraine smile. Casual affection and romance comes easily to her, and Moiraine loves it.

Not to say Moiraine can't be romantic as fuck when she wants to be. I mean, what she says as she's swearing her exile oath? The woman's clearly spent enough time around Lan to know how to wax poetic on occasion. I also think she'd be more physically affectionate if she had longer than one night at a time with her lover - if she didn't have to jump back into cold and distant mode immediately after. Siuan is better at switching between her public and private personality; Moiraine takes a little longer to fully open up, and she usually isn't given the opportunity.

Yearning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?

Considering they're apart, like, 99% of the time, I'd say they cope fairly well.

A lot of the coping comes from the reason they're apart in the first place - The Mission. I mean, they're both Blue Ajah for a reason. We know from later books that Their Purpose is enough to help them survive some severe trauma, so it's certainly enough to help them cope with being separated from each other.

Moiraine has the extra benefit of having a close confidant and partner in Lan. His love is not a substitute for Siuan, but it is a great source of comfort and support.

We haven't seen whether Siuan has a Warder or not (she has one in the early books, but we never meet him, so we don't really know much about their relationship). Likely the show won't give her one, at least for now, so I'll assume for the time being that she doesn't have a Warder. If this is the case, then Siuan probably struggles more with missing Moiraine than the other way around. Moiraine has Lan, and she's also actively carrying out her mission in life, and both are great distractions. Siuan, meanwhile, is stuck in the White Tower, dealing with other Aes Sedai and all the politics. And after she becomes Amyrlin Seat, this gets worse. Suddenly no one can even use her name, let alone get close to her. Siuan has a will of iron, so she does what has to be done, but the loneliness come close to unbearable sometimes.

Zeal - Are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?

Honestly, the fact that they're still making the effort to be together could be considered "great lengths." One of them is the most powerful woman in the world, who really shouldn't be romantically involved with anyone at all, but especially not someone under her direct authority. And both are hiding their involvement in the world's most important but also most dangerous spy mission.

And yet... they still make time for each other. Not much, admittedly - the Wheel rarely gives them the chance. But instead of taking the easy route and going their separate ways (which would be safer for both of them), they choose again and again to keep investing in the relationship. Maybe it's selfish, and maybe not. But that active choice to keep loving each other is more than enough.
