to be honest, my requests are 'closed' here, because few ideas in this fandom give me a spark with which I can work. by analogy, it's as if the honeymice are prometheus, who, of course, brought fire, but I don't have logs to hold it and use it for food or lighting.
I still get ideas and thirst, despite the status of "closed" (because neither I nor the mice respect anything closed and I really appreciate it), and I read it, but none of them could work in me and create at least a spark. so, yes, if you have an idea/request, you can send it and I will definitely read it, but you might as well find a more enthusiastic writer (I think they are still there?). I can't guarantee that I will answer or write, I'm not interested in writing through force, it's too exhausting and I don't even get paid /j

yes! Tanjirou just looks so, uh, a little apathetic, as if as long as it's not his inner circle, he will smile and say that everything can be fixed, and I appreciate these qualities, — they reveal him from a more human side and better emphasize the fact that he comes from a village, a small closed community, and most of the time he lived, socializing only with his huge family. it's just that shonen's other heroes grow, develop, get rid of some traits and acquire others, while Tanjirou does not grow — just like Muzan. they are static.
heroes should grow throughout the story, but Tanjirou gets nothing but PTSD, and it's kind of strange — then why was this path made? why would he fight monsters? why did he need all this experience if he does not become more experienced — and does not oppose another experience?
I am an old school person, I believe that the book "the thousand-faced hero" is amazing, and I think any experience changes you — and if Tanjirou is not able to learn, he must polish himself and see others not as victims who need to be saved, but find himself in a situation where he is the "victim" in someone's eyes.
* I honestly don't remember this arc very well, but didn't Nezuko sacrifice herself while he accepted her wish?
upd: I'm not sure. in the end, tanjirou did not run back to her, but agreed with the wish of Nezuko dying in the sun, running after the demon — however, if Nezuko had not thrown him away, I am not sure that he would have come to this decision.
in fact, in the words about close ties, I rather meant the last chapters, where the scene with the graves and inosuke's behavior. previously, it was not so noticeable — Tanjirou takes care of everyone equally and everyone is important to him, — but then it caught my eye. shouldn't he have at least scolded him? I do not know if I am delusional, but it was unexpected for me.

is actually manipulative, hypocritical and has an unconscious tendency to divide people into "family" and "others" and is not really interested in "others".
He grew up in an almost isolated family and developed a huge big brother complex against the background of an almost complete lack of communication with non-family. His communication is connected with guessing the mood and feelings of people, which is why people easily like him, but he, being an older brother, absolutely ignores the desire of people to communicate with him and believes that he knows better.
Tanjirou points people out, educates people, takes care of people and leads people, but he is actually indifferent to those whom he does not consider his family. He has no sense of responsibility for those people who like him or who expect attention from him; almost all of his actions are dictated by what his heart feels, but not by what he "should do".
He is deeply emotional and he is true to what he feels; it is he who embodies that type of "cult leader", because he is not so important about what is "right" / "wrong" than what he feels like. That is why he would not be the one who would give his life, because "it is necessary"; he would give his life only if he felt that it was necessary.
And that's actually a huge difference.
That's why he can't have a huge goal like "becoming a pillar", "becoming a village leader" or "ridding the world of demons — because he doesn't feel that he needs it. He wants to just live on the mountain with his family, but he doesn't want (and didn't want) to become a demon slayer. He wants a simple life with his family and he's going to have this ordinary life with his family, he doesn't care about other people.
He is unselfish, sympathetic, gentle and unresponsively devoted only to his family; all his other contacts are caused only by his emotional needs. That is why it is slightly incorrect to talk about him as a "real leader" — he does not care what happens to his non-family and he is not going to take such responsibility.
Look at least at the last chapters in the manga — his communication with Yushiro, the lack of attempts to retrain Inosuke, or at the penultimate ark and Tanjirou's reaction to everything that is happening.
Did he remember anyone in the scenes after? Was he thinking about those people and demons? No. And this absolutely negates the moments with how involved he was in the first chapters.
And do you know why? Because he doesn't care about it.
Or his conversation with Akaza about the "law of nature" (the strongest survives) — Tanjirou was talking nonsense (because what he calls is not the law of nature), but he believes in this nonsense. And you know why, too — because he only believes in his beliefs.
He sympathizes with others, but does not share; he is emotionally attached, but he does not try to understand. He is sure that there is right/wrong, and he is sure that only his beliefs of rightness and wrongness are true. And it's not just "well, that's fine" — he's not even going to rethink his behavior and his beliefs.
If he wasn't the main character, then he wouldn't be so beloved because of his personality, because his personality is monotonous.
Tanjirou is absolutely subordinate only to his emotional reactions and the role of an older brother. Just take away this naivety and external sweetness from him, and you'll understand what I'm talking about. He does not know how and does not want to engage with other people. He reacts emotionally to the stories of demons, to their past — but the longer he interacts with the outside world, the less emotionally connected he becomes with them, the less emotionally involved he becomes.
In the last chapters, he doesn't even react with tears, and you can call it both "character growth" and the fact that Tanjiro has become tougher and is no longer so susceptible to their experiences.
In the entire manga, Tanjirou does not grow as a character, because in order to grow, he must fight with another person and begin to doubt himself and his values, but no one could give him that.
No one in the manga could give him the potential for growth, because a character like Tanjirou grows only in counteractions and tug-of-war.
He is very raw and was only good for developing other characters to motivate them, however, although they were developed, they all revolved only around Tanjirou himself, which made their development almost useless.
All the chapters that were, only revealed him, but they did not allow him to grow above himself. And all those lessons that he had to go through, he did not pass.
And this is why Muzan could not become a good villain.
Because what is the main hero, such is the main villain.

Also, the obsession to control and interfere with others was only indirectly affected and his behavior with others was not analyzed (Giyuu, Senjuro and Shinjuro, Genya and Sanemi, Inosuke, Shinobu and others).
you can re-read the manga yourself and look at it with a sober eye, and understand that his fraternal complex is reflected in everything and everyone. especially the moment with Giyuu.
