I feel like I'm probably not in the minority on Tumblr in not using TikTok (derogatory), but to anyone who does use it,
Hello, hi, hey, how's your day going? How's the weather outside? Are you doing anything today? Also have you seen any TikToks made by "Veneer Technicians" who are offering nominally cheaper dental work or are advertising a course for you to become a "Veneer Technician" yourself? Without needing any prior medical certification or training?
Yeah so that's a scam. The whole thing is a scam. There is no such thing as a veneer technician; there are however such things as quack doctors, scam artists and felony offenses.
If you come across anyone claiming to be a "veneer technician", consider checking any credentials they claim to have and reporting them to the relevant authorities if you can't verify them.
Cam is the kind of person who’s 100% convinced that hypnosis is totally and unconditionally real, and that if they do it right they will actually be able to make you love them…
Imagining a Darling with low susceptibility humoring Cam and allowing them to practice their hypnotic techniques… Cam thinking their Darling is falling deeper and deeper into trance with their every word, fighting to keep their baritone voice from cracking with excitement as they ask for a kiss.
Your hands move to cup their face, leaning in— and just as your lips ghost over theirs, their eyes widening as they anticipate more of your touch, your resolve cracks and you break into laughter.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t tease you like that~”
i think the most annoying part of dog food discourse is how many people will act as though proplan/hill’s/Royal canin diets aren’t extremely and prohibitively expensive and that THAT is the reason so many people look into healthy alternatives.
People complain about corn being in the first five ingredients on most of those feeds because, regardless of other factors here, that is not an expensive ingredient. But it makes up a large chunk of the dry food. So the dry food should be fairly affordable, right?
Oh… with tax you’re spending about $100 for one 45lb bag of food where the third ingredient is wheat and the fourth and fifth ingredients are corn.
Oh… well! It’s slightly cheaper! But the second ingredient is rice, third is wheat, fourth is corn, and then fifth is poultry byproduct. None of those are very expensive so this just must be the low end cost of dog food unfortunately. The vets recommend it so surely that means prices aren’t inflated, right?
Oh? This one has similar ingredients with the only real difference being no corn? And it’s half the price?? Well surely that’s just a fluke.
Oh. Oh no.
This one even has CORN in it and it’s $20 cheaper?? Wow!
Like listen at some point I don’t care if your dog food has the ichor of the gods in it, I’m not spending $100 every five days if there are cheaper options with just as many “good” ingredients in it. If you think I’m a dog abuser because I can’t afford this overpriced garbage, that’s too bad. I don’t care. My dogs are perfectly healthy with the food I give them. Great weight and great coat. People giving dog food recommendations that aren’t those top three hyper-expensive dog foods aren’t trying to epic own those dastardly vets half the time, but I really don’t blame the ones who do lose trust in vets when the only heartworm protection they recommend lately are expensive triple-action brands like Simparica Trio that costs $120+ as opposed to the other heartworm protections that are only about $40-$60 on average, which is still cheaper even if you add on a $20-$40 flea and tick protection separately, and only recommend dog food that costs $85+ a bag even if your dog doesn’t have specialized dietary needs.
Those top three foods are GREAT at making competent prescription diets, I don’t deny that. I do still have to criticize the pricing of those prescription diets though because I have spoken to DOZENS of people who had to pull their pets off of a prescription diet and struggle to find something comparable because they couldn’t afford the food, and that’s terrible! These are not poor companies! Purina, Royal Canin, and Hill’s can ABSOLUTELY afford to lower their prices to make their food accessible to people who need it for their animals but they don’t. They probably never will. Because at the core they are run by greedy corporations. It doesn’t matter how many good nutritionists are on board if the company is run by people who put profits over customers and make the food impossible for people to afford.

"Hey, um, do me a favor and report this account (nativeamericancultures), because not only is it just full of stolen content from Native tiktokers, and just reposted (videos), but this whole account is just posting ai photos of Native Americans. Which, 1. that's shitty, why would you do that? And 2. real photos and art of us exist, and 3. They give a paypal to supposedly, quote unquote, "support Native American culture". "Culture" they say. And their name is of Vietnamese origin, that they give in this paypal (paypal.me/nativeamericancultur) so I highly doubt that they are Native American themselves. And yeah there's Vietnamese Natives out there, but I don't think any actual Native American would say "Native American CULTURE". That's some bullshit that people who don't know about Native Americans say.
From my gaming tiktok: I'm asking people to report both the tiktok nativeamericancultures & the associated paypal nativeamericancultur due to this person very unlikely being Native American, yet they are essentially asking people for money for posting stolen content that they downloaded & then reposted from multiple Native American tiktokers. There's multiple similar accounts that do this & post stolen content while asking for money, and most of them are not Native American.
To cope with stupid shit on Instagram Reels I started assuming that literally everyone who is favoured by the algorithm on that site is either a huckster of some kind or being paid by a corporation.
Works wonders - now instead of getting mad I just assume everyone there is trying to sell me something.
So I'm sure many of you might know this person on tiktok
Makes cool jackets and totes right?
Well, I commissioned a jacket in February of 2022 and it is currently August 11, 2023.
I never received my commission
From February up to about May, I held a somewhat steady communication with Ahytana, checking in every 2 weeks to a month for updates which she responded to. At first it was family problems, then needing time to send it to FedEx, then problems with FedEx that apparently the jacket got lost, then she was remaking it and right when she claimed she just needed to send out the new one—
All communication stopped. She wouldn't answer emails, or texts (which she originally welcomed if I couldn't get a hold of her), i even requested a refund on Venmo which went ignored, and I never got a final update or told whether the jacket was on its way. I managed to get her on Whatsapp only for her to promise a tracking number that never came and ghosted once again.
In that time, she has posted on her Instagram stories and even opened and closed new batches of commissions:
I already tried contacting Venmo they basically said I'm fucked. So if you've seen her on Tiktok or are considering commissioning her— DONT. I've seen some people do get their commissions, but I never did and she claimed it was a batch of about 3 or 4 jackets that got lost.
If you've commissioned her and got scammed too, reach out to me. I'm hoping Venmo would listen if I have a list of people it happened to.
TL;DR: don't commission Ahytana because it is likely you'll patiently wait a year and a half and still never receive what you commissioned.
I commissioned after I saw that some people received theirs on tiktok and her IG, so I had faith I'd get my commission too. Maybe I'm the idiot here, but I figured I'd try to stop it from happening to someone else.
