oh my days did u hear about wilbur soot literally physically abusing shelby

YESYESYES I DID!!!

For the girlies that don't know: I was a minecraft girlie in 2021.

And Wilbur Soot was a big part of that MC phase. He was undeniably hot, but he was also quite open ab mental health stuffs + created quite a safe space for minorities whether that be the gay community, mental health talking space... That's all from the top of my head. In short - he's hot and an empath and ppl liked that ab him

He also kinda showed his "quirky loco character" in music vids or just in streams.

Kinda ironic he's now fulfilling the role that character he mockingly made, tho.

What did he do? Well, he was in a relationship w Shelby Shubble and his way of showing "affection" would be to bite her. Kinda understand biting as a way of showing love as long as it's not life threatening, painful, or in aggression... I mean, ChrisMD does that shit all the time to ArthurTV n it seems more endearing than to really do any bads.

Thing is, Wilbur would end up hurting Shelby. Aaaand so Wil said 'hey let's make a safeword for u 2 say when it hurts so that ik and can stop so i don't harm u'.... but when Shelby used that safeword, broski wuld either grind down or go a lil bit harder b4 letting go.

And Shelby's described it as she would oftentimes scream/yell bc it was so hard, and he'd 'smile' afterwards which is mad psycho (term used loosely) imo. Because also, he'd do ts in public??? Yk, with his friendship group around him n Shelby, the lovely jovely couple? Straight out weird negl.

So, there's context.

Lots of varying opinions online which i would soooo love to get into...

BUT DISCLAIMER BEFORE I DO: Realistically, this is abuse, and thus it is a crime. I've talked about this on my page before - cancel culture can be unecessary in minor incidences, and cancel culture can be not-enough in instances whereby people have simply done illegal things.

This is one of those illegal things. So, whilst I do chat about this light-heartedly or for entertainment, gossip-y purposes - do realise that this is a real life problem that has has major issues in many peoples' lives.

Now, continuing with the juicy waffley discussions that ppl like hearing:

So firstly, some of the Twitter memes are fucking hilarious. I do love that under Wilbur's Twitter apology, loads of MCYTers have joined to clown his goofy ahh. And all those memes saying that Bill smelled such a shit apology he returned to twitter after years + the DSMP are like Avengers in Infinity War returning to all fight enemy No1 WILBUR...

But that being said, DREAM REPLYING TOO????

I spoke ab Dream being a groomer around Christmas time + heard loads of ppl out on vouching for Dream or calling him disgusting, dahdahdah... But the fact that sm ppl are turning around and praising Dream for calling out Wilbur's goofiness is acc MAAAD.

Why's everyone forgotten Dream is j as goofy? And an alleged groomer? And just plain? Not even plain something, brodie is just the plainest mf i've ever seen. Ever since he face revealed, his personality j evaporated on out of his body (anyone feel this asw?)

But no, ppl who are now agreeing w Dream to combat Wilbur as if Dream hasn't also committed what is debateably a crime (ik he 'cleared up the rumours' but it's v hard to fight of groomer allegations when you let them sit and marinate for approx 6 months) is fucking WILD shit to me.

Secondly, people are analysing loads of Wilbur's other prev actions too and saying these should've been red flags to Wilbur being an a-hole before we even heard Shubble's solid proof.

And some of these clips of evidence (e.g. Niki saying Wil bites her + threw her, Tommy getting his hand stomped, throwing apple at Techno) feel very valid.

But other bits I do wonder - are they just being over analysed? Yk, like with the clip of Wil shouting at Tommy for streaming + stealing his wallet, i was super sure that was staged as is (j had it confirmed now by the Twitter community note asw lol) and also, whilst Wil's shouting does feel extreme and hurtful from a viewer pov... Having a wallet stolen, place of work broken in to, litr knowing the place where you work to make all income could be taken away from u bc a friend thought it funny to break in n loudly + rowdily stream... i gotta say that some form of anger or upset is valid there. And this isn't to validate Wilbur's assholery, this is just to point out that whilst ppl are throwing clips into the fire and saying "this is more proof Wil was a bad person from the start" - do try see other interpretations of it and form your own line of reasoning - yk - "is this a valid point or is this someone using the drama to get some extra likes and attention to boost their account" (because believe me, ppl would - if ppl would use Techno's death to get more channel views and interactions - ppl would also most definitely use abuse as a means to engage more ppl).

Aaaaaand let's talk about the little Lovejoy band. Ngl i fucken loved their stuff, quite sad to see it go down the drain because 3/4 of them are public targets, now.

So ik we hate Wil for being an abuser. And I've seen that ppl dislike Mark bc he supported Maccies (what did he do fr tho bc i have no clue - did he j eat a McDonalds or what?) And we hate Ash Kabosu for saying it's bad to make fun of those deaths on the submarine...

Controversial opinion but I don't blame Ash allat much??? Now imma explain myself - but pls understand that i don't knoe 100% ab the situation, im v detached from the MCYT sphere of the online community.

But hear me out.

I'm a big believer in cherishing life, life is v important, life is a blessing.... Not from a rly religious pov, moreso in a spiritual way. Because if we only get one life, fuck, it's pretty damn precious. And whilst all those Oceangate memes were haha heehee funny watches, at the end of the day, people did die. And I do find that quite sad.

People say it's fine to laugh and make fun of those who were in there and died bc they were just billionaires who went down there for their own personal entertainment.

Just because they're billionaires doesn't make them any less human than us? Sure, they have a lot more money and are probably a lot more detached from working class issues which the majority of the population faces... But their drowning will have hurt and caused just as much pain to them as it would to us if we were in their situation. And my god, I can't even begin to think about the pain their families must have felt.

Those deaths were a fucking tragedy, realistically - and maybe i'm 'overreacting' here - but c'mon, empathy is literally encoded into our DNA as humans, surely I'm not the only one that can see the heartlessness in just laughing and memeing those deaths?

So Ash Kabosu haterism I don't fully understand, is the conclusion of that sub-rant.

And then I think this is the final little bit I'll discuss considering this is a loooong post:

Lowkey my big flex, I've been a fan of him since 2020, and I got into his hater-commentary content initially. And ngl, when he transitioned to Minecraft? It was so fkn obvious he was trying to tailor to the MCYT audience to get their approval and entrance into the MCYT community, it made me absolutely cringe - and the blindness of everybody to that fact was insane to me.

Like, he was literally beegggging to be added to SMPs, he'd try and portray this "uncontrollable, quirky" character and would be so "unhinged" that everyone would love him... But ngl, that shit was literal brainrot, and he had you guys (me included tbf, bc i'd watch - just cringing whilst watching) ROTTING your brains with spamming the chat w allat bs that u do on Twitch

Nowadays, I like James tho. I feel like he feels ingrained enough within the community to branch out and not have to play up to the disturbing, disgusting cringefest - and so now he's funnier and having a better time streaming.

I mean, he looks absolutely great too - his tours have him confidence-boosted (rightfully so), because he's in great shape, like, he's genuinely lost noticable fat and put on muscle which has him looking trim as ever - he's grown his hair out into a flattering mullet - Shit, i believe looksmaxxing is the boy-equivalent of the makeup industry profiting off of womens' insecurity....

But the Jimbatron has absolutely looksmaxxed for the best.

That being said however, people saying "I OFFER JIMBO AS A REPLACEMENT FOR WILBUR!!" are fucking weirdos (respectfully but also kinda not)

Bro has just abused people and you're mourning the loss of a content creator and oh no - your favourite band - so you're trying to serve up replacements like a fucking chef that's ran out of a specific ingredient??????????

Yeah, James is less problematic and has 2x the personality Wilbur has- BUT WHY DOES IT TAKE WILBUR COMING OUT AS A FKN ABUSER FOR PPL TO START PROMOTING JAMES????

This is like that whole thing whereby ppl put other girls down to point out to success or beauty of other girls: it takes everyone noticing how bad Wilbur is, to point out the goodness of James.

James litr banned people who wouldn't stfu about Wilbur in his chat in early streams, bc he was sick of ppl following him for Wilbur and who just wanted to talk about Wilbur on James' platform.... I don't think James rly wants to share an identity, or have his platform built from being against Wilbur.

TSOA rant

I think it is time i bring up my change of tags If you don’t know or haven’t noticed I have changed most tags on my Iliad and “TSOA” posts tags to Anti-madeline miller, there are multiple reasons for this for one re-reading Tsoa her blatant fetishism of gay men is clear and she misuses the mythology and each characters original characterization, But i’m getting ahead of myself. I’m going to start with Patroclus because he is a protagonist in this, which I admit isn’t a bad idea in itself but she changes so much about him that is hard to recognize but let's start with his age, while we don’t know his exact age we do know that he is older than Achilles because he was a squire, role model, and counsel to him, But she changes this which I admit makes sense when trying to appeal to a modern audience but in doing that you strip him of any solo characterization and authority, He goes from an angry boy to a generally calm man who can make good decisions which really makes his choice to go into battle in disguise really impactful. But she changes that and therefore changes his original personality. Speaking of personality she does something bluntly homophobic which is the feminization of Patroclus’s character, Patroclus goes from a very good warrior, strategist and medic to only a medic in her “Retelling” it is very reminiscent of the “Warrior husband and Healer wife” trope as pointed out by @booklover42 on my "Tsoa isn't accurate" Post; fun fact; most death counts either end with Patroclus having a higher or same body count as Achilles and It is never hidden that he is a fighter.

Speaking of Achilles. Achilles is probably the worst in this. A Lot of his personality, relationships, and actions are retconned which is weird for someone like madeline miller who claims to care about the mythology and accuracy of her “retellings” to do. The first thing I really hate is his relationship with Thetis, his mother. Her overall characterization is horrible, in the iliad she is a caring mother who might be slightly overbearing but she isn’t nearly as bad as she is in this. Her interactions with Patroclus automatically turns the reader against her even after finding out she was forced into marriage.

AND SPEAKING OF MARRIAGE. I will say this over and over and over again. Achilles was sexually attracted to women and men (or at least patroclus). You have no idea how angry I get when I see posts talking about how Achilles was gay. Because 2 things 1. No he wasn’t, he was just Greek literally no one would care about him having a male lover (expect maybe Peleus even then it would be more about the heir aspect of yk having a wife) the only point anyone has a thing to say about his relationship with Patroclus in a negative light is in that one Shakespearean play where they just complain that they are having too much sex and aren’t doing anything. And Actually saying he was gay is weird because they didn’t have a word for it (Well actually that's kind of a lie they had pederasty, eromenos, and Kinaidos but uh) and 2. He had a wife and at least 1 sex slave of which I will get into later. But on to the marriage thing, His marriage to Deidamia wasn’t her sexually assaulting him or really even forced by thetis like it's implied (actually in one account its said that Achilles sexually assaulted her) but like no, in most versions they just started a intimate relationship while he was in disguise and eventually got married and then he left for war. She wasn’t a big character in the Iliad but she was nowhere near as antagonistic and Madeline miller describes her as. Another fun fact actually Neoptolemus was never taken by thetis?, I don’t know where Madeline got that from but it was in none of the sources I read. But Deidamia actually begged and tried to convince Neoptolemus not to go to war just like Thetis did with Achilles. And Actually let me get to the sex slave Briseis, someone everyone loves in tsoa but her original character is nice, like actually she doesn’t have a lot of screen time but she is a good character, she was someone of decent standing reduced to a sex slave and a prisoner of war and a thing to be passed off and taken away at a king's wish not to mention she was promised that she would be married but achilles died before they had the chance and when his son arrived and wanted her she would rather try to run away and die in the process then be handed off to him. She is an amazing character and she is a good representation of what war looked like for the people taken captive but in tsoa she is made to be a pity character only used to make the main characters look like good men. I have nothing else to say at least right now anyway I may add to this later but yeah

- in this au noels upbringing was very carrie-esc. his mother wasn’t supportive of him being gay and made him pray literally 10 times daily (this kid is like twelve). his dad left when he was around 7 and nearly threatened to send him to conversion therapy and was extremely abusive, so really fun. therefore he never really came out except to ocean, and as a result much much more quiet and reserved then canon noel. he also is MUCH more emotional and instead of angry outbursts he just cries (noel developed DID when he was very young, he made monique as escapism from his mom and she became an introject. he was an unknowing system until he died and found out WHICH WE WILL GET INTO LATER.) the whole “i lost my virginity to a carnie in a” thing is basically “i sold my body for the last year so my mom and i wouldn’t get evicted.”

mischa bachinski - the strangest boy in town (swapped with ricky)

- mischa received MUCH better treatment from his adoptive parents as he came to uranium younger (around 10 or so,) his mother died only a few years after he moved and he was destroyed. so, he forced himself to do well in school and therefore became obsessed with his grades to the point where it was UNHEALTHY. he doesn’t really have a lot of friends and a lot of people in town disregard him for being weird and offkey. noel does admire him a lot though.

ricky potts/john doe - the one unidentified body of the swing amusement park accident (swapped with jane obviously)

- his “head” is an empty astronaut helmet, he uses little jet pack things on his shoes to move around. :) ricky is pretty much nonverbal and given he has.. no face.. he resorts to a thumbs up or down to communicate. ricky doesn’t remember anything of his life, only his love for the stars.

penny lamb - the most obsessed girl in town (swapped with noel)

- this is basically legoland penny but she is 10x more batshit insane. she has an OBSESSION with johnny moon (thanks tammy) and will not shut up. she is a major fucking drama queen who is kind of really sad on the inside? she wants to be a singer and marry him btw

constance blackwood - the smartest girl in town

(swapped with ocean)

- swing au constance is much more confident in herself then canon constance. she is naturally smart, but not a total bitch like ocean was, she’s actually really fucking sweet and people don’t give her shit for it. noel and her are friends and she is the MOST SUPPORTIVE GIRLFRIEND OUT THERE, she constantly tries to get him to end his “friendship” with ocean even though he’s a little delulu. constance is the student council president and wow actually helps the student body? and a great fucking person overall.

monique gibeau - shes just there (I KNOW YOU CAN’T ONLY HAVE ONE OTHER ALTER IN A SYSTEM, LETS JUST SAY WHEN NOEL DIED SHE WAS JUST THE ONE TO BECOME HER OWN IN THE AFTERLIFE?)

- would sell her soul for noel. this kid is her baby brother and would do ANYTHING for him, even killing. she absolutely hated noels mother and father (when he was around) and would front sometimes ONLY to get noel to his room when they were fighting (poor bby would shut down). when they all died she was just kinda there yk, occasionally going full mama bear on ocean yk how it is.

Anyways here’s some stuff i would do if disney came up to me and said hey write ducktales season 4 -

- Webby has a major identity crisis because of the clone thing, that’s her main plot this season. She’s trying to figure out who she is whilst the entire world is continuously comparing her to Scrooge.

- BIG emphasis on family vs biology.

- If in writing this s4 i can’t make any changes to the previous seasons then i don’t think i can get rid of the dad thing bc like, it’d be weird if they made a big deal abt her calling scrooge dad and then nerfed it next season, like as a viewer i’d find that weird, so we’re keeping that. With the extension of her, at some point, starting to call Beakley mum

- Maybe our big “twist” this season is that webby isn’t related to scrooge, but she still calls him dad in the end

- Huey is ALSO having an identity crisis! We’re playing with the fact that his arch didnt get revolved last season. He’s always been the smart one out of his brothers, but now Louie is shaping up to be a successful business person and Dewey is gonna be a pilot, and Huey has no idea what he’s doing with his life.

- May and june are with donald and daisy on their like cruise thing the whole season, and appear once per episode via a zoom call on an ipad. Donald and daisy appear sometimes too. Their whole running bit is that they’re convinced they’re now leading a normal life but it becomes increasingly obvious they’re just as weird as donald (affectionate). The four of them appear in person in the season finale

- We will not be introducing any new characters for no reason I swear to god. The only new character i’m even CONSIDERING introducing is Morgana and that’s it. This season will have a much heavier focus on our actual main characters. Aside from maybe morgana the only “new” characters would be mentioned, like an adult talking about their parents or showing a picture

- Beakley officially retires this season (not immediately, a couple episodes in, we get an ep about it)

- She also feels very guilty about all the lying so in an effort to stop doing that she has now flipped to the opposite end of the spectrum - brutal honesty. She speaks her mind 100% of the time and she rarley has nice things to say. You are never more than 5 minutes away from beakley roasting the shit out of you because that was just on her mind

- For simplicity’s sake she never had any kids before webby, that was a complete lie and the “Mrs” thing was an alias. I don’t want to spend time introducing three new characters, i wanna focus on our existing ones.

- For the first episode or two she is intentionalyl side lined, and then we get an ep more focused on her which shows she not only feels incredibly guilty abt the events of last season, but she also feels liek she doesn’t have a place in the family and is just there bc she’s the housekeeper. This episode would end with her finally officially retiring and staying in the manor, showing that she’s there because she’s family, not because she’s staff.

- Once retired we also get an episode that just shows beakley going stir crazy bc she’s bad at being retired lol

- An episode about sccrooge and beakley bonding! Scrooge sees webby and her friends together, or maybe they ask him who his best friend is and he’s like ah me and beakley! But then realises they haven't been as close in the past few years and whisks her off on a good ol mcduck and 22 adventure

- Hdlw sibling content. We are getting a reference to them seeing eachother as siblings like it or not. Maybe it happens bc webby goes “Hey, technically i’m your cousin” and the boys go “uh, no. you’re our sister, end of”

- W e b l e n a. Not clickbait. We resolve lena’s outburst at may and june from last adventure, we see her and violet talking and violets like “you dont see webby as your sister. You’’re very gay for her”

- LP being smart. We get some of that. We see his emotional maturity.

- Louie and dewey kinda take a backseat this season. They get some episodes and they’re, yk, there for a lot of them as supporting characters but their main archs are mainly resolved, so they mainly get some mini stuff this season

- Our big bad this season is probably negaduck bc like i said im not introducing a new villain

- I do think it’d be kinda cool to have a fucked up heron who clawed her way out of non existance and is in this fucked up glitched half alive state, who’s only purpose and thoughts are to destroy mcduck and 22

- Also at least one flashback episode, maybe a mothers day special that has the kids bonding with della and beakley in the present, and keeps having flashbacks to della and bealey having an adenture in the past

- Webbys starts calling della Aunt Della, the boys start calling Beakley Aunt B (usually i like the idea of them calling her granny like webby but if she’s calling beakley mom then that doesn’t make sense. Also it’d play into the “you have a very strange family dynamic thing” since they’re siblings but also theyve got two seperate moms)

- The boys get a bonding ep with scrooge to show he still values them even though webby is his “”real kid””

- Ep abt the boys missing donald on his trip :( maybe this is the first time we see donald on the facetime call

- I like the idea of sometimes there just being. Other people in the facetime calls. Like the kids are trying to talk to may and june and the three caballeros are int he background. Storkules is serenading donald and daisy. “Oh yeah those are our other parents. Donald and daisy have quite the polycule going on. You should see aunt min- *connection failed*”

- I wanna do smthn with the darkwing trio that can resolve with gos calling drake dad (maybe in the finale he gets injured and shes like NO DAD)

- Maybe an ep where webby finds out gos and dewey are close and she’s like wait. But WE are best freinds and hes like bruh youve got lena why cant i vibe with gosalyn. And webby tries really hard to have beef with gos but she just can’t do it she’s too nice and they end up being a trio

- An episode where fergus and downy visit the manor. And it turns out they’ve met beakley before bc scrooge used to bring her over sometimes and they’ve long since gone “yup thats our daughter. Wdym you just has the sibling talk recently bro we’ve known this for years we have 3 daughters moving on”

- Maybe matilda comes too and she and beakley have a sister bonding ep (bc beakley and scrooge will prolly have already had a few this season)

- I’d wanna have the kids bonding with fergus and downy for the main plot bc honestly we’ve not seen much of that lmao. Also donald talks to them on his zoom call bc yeah idk

- DELLA TALKS ABT HER TRUAMA. FROM BEING ON THE FUCKING MOON.

There used to be a time when you'd go into the Resident Evil tag here on Tumblr and you'd get a bunch of weird model viewer porn of Chris banging Dante or someshit. Early RE fandom was filled with a bunch of zombie-on-Jill (and later, Claire) porn. Sometimes it was even zombie dog porn. I don't wanna hear shit about anything porn-related from some fuckin kids who don't know just how depraved this fandom has been. This fandom was built on fucked up porn.

So, in a similar vein, that Leon thirst has always been there. Always, always, always. Do you think that Leon almost overthrew Chris as the face of Resident Evil because fans just... "liked his character"? NO. IT'S BECAUSE WE WANTED TO FUCK HIM. We wanted him in every hole, in every position, and we didn't care what we had to do to get Capcom to give him to us. The only reason why Chris was never dethroned was because the gays circled the wagons around him with RE5's release.

However.

Reader fics and self-inserts are a very new and recent phenomenon in fandom spaces. Even as recently as the mid-2010s, this was something unheard of. Fandom OCs were not okay. If you had a fandom OC, or if the fandom even suspected that you were self-inserting in any way, you got publicly shamed and sometimes even exiled from fandom spaces.

But there was one big, hypocritical problem with that mindset.

If you can't already see where this is going, let me help.

This is the reason why Aeon vs Cleon got as toxic and volatile as it was, back in the day.

Oh, yes. Fans would pick which of the two women they identified with more, and that ship became their vehicle for Leon smut. So, now, it wasn't just a ship. Now, it was personal -- because fans were using Ada or Claire to self-insert in a socially acceptable way. So, if someone rejected Cleon, and you were Team Cleon, chances are, you took that as someone saying "You're not good enough for Leon. You don't deserve him." -- even if you didn't consciously realize that that's what you were doing or how you were perceiving things.

Back in the days of LiveJournal, you found so many fics of just blatant OOC shit, because it wasn't really about Claire or Ada as characters. It never really was. Ada and Claire were just a means to the end goal that was Leon's cock.

So, if nothing else, modern-day fandom is a lot more honest.

Personally? I'll never be interested in reader fics because of how taboo it was for literally my entire life -- I will always see it as cringe, and I will always question that person's grasp on the line between fiction and reality, even though I know consciously that that's not fair for me to do, and that author isn't doing anything that I wasn't thinking about at their age. But prejudices gonna prejudice.

But I'm fucking stoked that I can talk openly about Leon's cock these days, and I don't have to filter it through some fucking ship that I don't care about. I can just sit here and say to you guys -- hey. I think Leon's into edging, and he secretly wants someone to make him beg, but he's too much of a control freak to allow it, so he just makes his partner beg instead. And no one fucking gives a shit!

one thing that really bugs me since s4 came out is how everyone reacted to the mileven fight, especially the “i do not belong” thing. this isn’t even about ships, it’s about the people’s ability to comprehend what they’re watching.

in the last month i saw a lot of people saying that eleven had no right to tell mike that he doesn’t know what it’s like to be bullied or that mike is an idiot for not understanding that they’re living different situations. while i do think both statements are true, what irks me is that everyone is trying to label someone as the bad guy in the conversation, even the characters themselves in a way.

keep in mind that i’m only talking about the bullying part.

mike has been bullied his whole life, just like every other member of the party. what the audience knows is that he’s bullied because of stuff that is not really relevant, unlike will and lucas who are bullied because one is gay and the other is black and that is discrimination, not just bullying; it’s not the same conversation, yk what i mean?

but mike is bullied for what, his face looked funny when he was younger? he likes nerdy stuff? i mean yes it’s rude to make fun of people for their appearance and the stuff they like but it’s not the end of the world — and yes i do remember that it led to mike almost dying but that wasn’t because of mike himself, that happened because the bullies wanted revenge and they thought mike did something that made troy piss himself AND it started with troy saying homophobic slurs towards will. so yeah, he’s been bullied his whole life, we get it, but it was for stuff that won’t impact his life when he will be older. no one will care if he likes star wars or not when he’s like 30 or even 20. he’s a normal guy. (yes lucas and will are normal too i’m talking about what in the 80s was considered normal and stuff don’t twist my words)

eleven on the other hand is actually different. she’s grown up with no one but scientist, she didn’t have parents until she was twelve-ish, she didn’t even know her real name until a few years ago !! she didn’t go to school, she doesn’t know how to make friends. and she has powers, obviously. i don’t think she’s actually different, to me everyone is the same and she deserves a good life just like everyone else, but i get why she thinks she “doesn’t belong”.

but… is it better to be mike or el in this kind of situation? mike is overall a normal guy but he still gets bullied. people make fun of him just because he’s mike. he doesn’t have anything “weird” regarding who he is as a person but people outside his friends and family still don’t like him.

but el, she will never be a normal person. she doesn’t have that opportunity. she may become the most normal adult in the world but when people will ask her, “so where did you do elementary school?” she will never know what to say. she will always have to lie eventually.

my point is, even eleven and mike don’t realize the other has been through different situations and different types of bullying, but it’s fine they’re just teens and when you’re living the situation it’s difficult to be objective about a lot of things. i just wish at least the audience will try to understand the scene correctly, because they’re both right and they’re ALSO both wrong. not everything is black and white, it’s not like in every fight there has to be the “good guy” and the “bad guy”. sometimes it’s just two teens going through a lot of things and dealing with it. i hope everyone realizes this.

why i thought michael wheeler was gay before i even knew what stranger things was about - why i decided to watch ST in the first place

ok ok ok so yes i know this sounds crazy and insane and impossoble even. i mean you have to watch a show to know if the characters are gay, right? wrong.

But how'd you even know who mike was before you watched ST?

becauuuseee honeyyyy, ur a kid on the internet, you watch videos on youtube, lots of those will unfortunately be top 10 videos cause ur like 10 or 11 or sum shit. anyways, you see clips from popular shows and medias. some of those are stranger things clips and you get half way familiar with the characters so you know who millie bobby brown is and you know what mikes face looks like.

anyways, this brings me to my next... statement? point? anyways... so yeah, i cant remember what video i was watching or anything, but a clip from stranger things comes up. i knew it was ST cause it was popular and shit n duhhhh. ANYWAYS the clip was El Dumping Mike's Ass ™ and, i cant remember if it was the clip saying it or my own gaydar going off, but i think it was my gaydar, BUT i imeditately clocked mike as gay. i was what.... 6th grade? maybe? at the most.

anyways, i watched mike getting dumped and somehow, someway, i just knew. i just imediately knew. and yknow... part of me thinks it was just the fact that back then because i hadnt watched the show, i was comepletely utterly totally unbiased. like my slate was clean. i knew nothing of anything besides that clip. maybe it is more obvious than we think....

after that i just kinda forgot about it for a couple years untilllll....

OK so then... On to my next point of disgussion.

Why did I start watching Stranger Things?

OK OK OK OK OK SO- okkayy saurrrrrrrrr basically, i have a friend. her name is tina. (thats her nickname ok dw im not like leaking personal info chill) anyways. she sat with me in art last year, and i knew from sitting with her that year and knowing her in the previous years that she was a really big fan of stranger things. sooooooo yeah i sat with her in art and i guess she knew that i hadnt watched stranger things, so like... she realllllyyyyyy wanted me to watch stranger things she was like "omg you should totally watch stranger things youd like it so much theyre coming out with a new season this summer im so excited" so i was like omggggg but yk shes always trying to make me watch shit n ykyk, whatever.

one day she convinces me or- wait no i think she forced me, and i kinda like- caved or smt. anyways, we end up watching the first episode on her phone during art class. lmao slay. so we finish the first episode and im thinking it was really good like wow but my ass probably wont watch the second episode cause im terrible at getting commited like wow

and ok- so herereeeee, here comes the kicker- the slingshot into ST. like why i actually like continued to watch.

i was still in my h<3rt stopper (censoring cause it would be annoying if this was in their tag) hyperfixation, or more like i was just getting out of my HS hyperfixation. I watched the series 3 times so i was getting a bit burnt out, so i needed something else to fan over, something else to watch. but not anything, it had to be gay. because lord KNOWS we do NOT have enough gay shit to watch. like i need it. and- im sorry- but not crappy indie films (disclaimer- indie films are NOT all crappy, theres just... some .... iykyk💀) or weird.... weird ones that make no sense and are just there for like... sex and honestly i have no fucking clue.

no i needed GAYURIJRH anyways,,,,, so i dm Tina and im like "omg tinaaaa helllpp meeee 👹 i need gay stuff to watch theres no good ones 😭" and so she gives me a list of shows with gay characters in them, and then shes like "Will from Stranger Things is gay lmao" (pre season 4 btw) so im like, in my mind, im like "Cool 😃 Mike Wheeler from Stranger Things is gay 😃" no duckiebuckie she said will- "Mike Wheelr is gay 😃" *queue past memories and preconceived notions of the past now flodding forward*

so. i waited a couple days. then i watched the first episode again this time with my little brother and like the rest of season 1 (not all at once) and i, fully, utterly, comepletely, totally, full heartedly believed that Mike was gay (i mean he is but thats not the point right now) like- i just, believed it. i just simply took it as fact. literally no one ever actually told me Mike was gay. i had just like, thought it was canon. like i actually thought it was canon. like genuinley. its so fucking funny thinking about it now because i really actually dont think i ever saw anyone or anything actually stating Mike was gay or anything, like my own seld really had made it canon. like wow. icon. again, it couldve been that one video, but i kinda like also dont. YKWWWW- I LIKE- ok so i even went to the point of like, during or after watching the first episode, imagining a little coming out scenario LATER THAT SEASON with mike telling Dustin and Lucase (cant remember if- WAIT OH MY GODDDD I JUST REMEMBERED- WILL WASNT IN THE SENARIO I WAS IMAGINING BECAUSE MIKE WAS COMING OUT TO LUCAS AND DUSTIN AS GAY AND HE LIKED WILL- YALL I REALLY HAVE BEEN A BYLER SHIPPER SINCE THE BEGINNING HUH 🥹🥹 (btw i would like to mention that this was less of a head canon and more of a "oh this is probably gonna happen like this is whats happening" kinda thing LMFAOOOOOO

and then mike kissed el and i was like what the fuck 😟

and then from the end of season 1-4 v1 and v2 i was... convinced of the opposite 😔 💔 but HEY YOU CANT BLAME ME I WAS LIKE GA BACK THEN AND LIKE MIKE AND EL KISSED N SHIT WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO THINK

and then the byler heart to hearts started happening and i was like- oh wait- oh honey, mikey dear your gay is showing right now. LIKE I WAS A GA WHO THOUGHT MIKE WAS STRAIGHT AND I COULD STILLLL SEEEE THE FRUITINESS LIKE HONEEYYYYYYYYYYYY FRIENDS DONT TALK TO FRIENDS LIKE THAT but i digress.

anyways. then mike said i love you blah blah blah yk like yeah hes straight but i wasnt even really thinking about the subject that much

ANYWAYS what convinced me once again that mike wheeler was gay?

well, mainly @kaypeace21 's analysis about why they think mike is not Bi, but gay, yk, the iconic one. but what started inspection in the first place when i was a steadfast "wills 100% gay but unfortunately mike is 100% straight and its unrequited and i dont ship byler because its just a lil funky and weird because mike is OBVIOUSLY straight blah blah blah i mean its cute but its dEFINITELY not real blah blah" believer? because.... of ONE fateful tiktok.

Enter Tina again. were at her house, and we decide to watch stranger things tiktok compilations and crack videos n stuff cause yk that stuff is really funny and great.

So we see this one tiktok compilation and its stranger thins ofc and the title says (very gay) and shes like, ya wanna watch this one? and im like (my ass had already seen this same complilation, but i remembered the greatness that it held) so i agree.

so previously, i had watched the video and just kinda ignored the byler stuff cause i didnt ship (although i would like to make a disclaimer that i was not a mileven shipper either. i kinda just thought they were like cute and yk oh theyre the main couple cool ig it is what it is like this is how its gonna be ig) anyways, but this time (i think we had like briefly discussed mikes sexuality earlier, and decided he was prolly definitely just straight (but discussing it in the first place is like, kinda telling lmfao)) so it was on my mind. so this time, when the byler vid came on, i payed more attention. it was a rink o mania edit. and i saw his facial expression. i saw that fucking facial expression.

so me and Tina™ paused the video, and we were like "ok... so like, I think Mike is straight... but like that facial expression he just made. but like hes definitely straight right? yeah... but that expressionnnnnnn.... but like yeah, right? yeah.. anyways...." and then we watched the rest of the video.

and then pinterest came in and it was one piece of evidence after another and then the Kaypeace post.

the rest is history.

My Point?

The whole reason I started watching Stranger Things in the first place was because I thought Mike was gay. If Mike Wheeler is not gay, I will have watched Stranger Things for nothing. yes, i stayed and kept watching even after m*l*v*n was established because stranger things is just so good, how could you not? but my point still stands. The whole reason for me even deciding to keep watching after the first episode was because i thought mike was gay. and it seems that we've come full circle now, because once again, i believe mike wheeler is gay and my enjoyment (and ST) depends on Mike being gay.

Lucas and Dustin were so supportive when they came out!!! Like when initially told they were so chill and like “that’s wassup” but in the leading weeks they were going above and beyond to make mike feel more comfortable. At the end of the week Lucas threw a coming out party and made a little sign, Dustin and Erica made a cake!!

Speaking of Erica her and Mike will literally be in the isle of a fight but still doing sleepover activities. Like one time Lucas came downstairs to see them going back and forth while making friendship bracelets (not necessarily genderfluid mike but they mean sm 2 me)

1. yes. i love the idea that max would be the first one mike would come out to. it honestly makes a lot of sense. and i would love a sweet moment like that. (and that gender envy hc!! YES)

YESSS. i’ve never thought much about it, but i kind of want mike and erica to bond. erica would roast him but in a... nice way? and i’ve seen a lot of hc’s about nail polish, but this one makes the most sense realistically, since i don’t think mike would reach the stage of being able to wear other colors for a while.

3. the braiding hc!!!! ily. mike in braids is just a great concept on its own, but you also added max into it, and i love that.

here is my rant/review on the movie bros so spoilers below the cut

look. i didnt hate it. it was funny. but most the laugh out loud funny parts were in the trailer, and werent as funny in the context of the actual scenes somehow. there were still definitely really funny moments outside of that but idk i was expecting more. also billy eichners character bobby was funny and all but god i hate people like that (which was awkward cus i have my sister next me whispering about how much she relates LMAO).

but in terms of my more serious issues with it.

1. there was several graphic sex scenes and i guess 1 was kinda of good to keep, but the others were sooo unnecessary imo. like 1 was funny ig but 1 was just like ... ok.. anyways.. and listen. listen. i understand especially from the opening scene and the rest of the movie basically that part of the point is gay people should havent to make themselves more palatable for straight society but my GOD i have never seen a straight romcom that explicit and idk about u guys but it seemed to be marketed as a more or less family friendly movie. like a take ur parents to it bc we're trying to normalize gay people in mainstream romcoms, ya know?? no. NO. do not bring ur parents. and i guess i sound like an asshole about that because yea queers shouldnt be marketable to hets but idk man.. its just so not a good introduction to normalizing big screen lgbtq+ movies like this bc as a queer person i was uncomfortable and id imagine the straights even more so and YES I KNOW WE SHOULDNT CARE but we cant be like 'see gay romcoms are for everyone!' and shove unnecessary and uncomfortably explicit sex scenes that dont belong in any movie esp one thats marketed the way it was.

2. i was actually sort of confused because i thought one of the main themes in the story was that the mc bobby was like. overly 'woke' i guess and really critical of everything, mostly from an lgbtq perspective. then there was the love interest aaron who thought bobby was really overly cynical. there was multiple instances in the movie where bobby would kind of ruin the mood by complaining about how something is homophobic in some way or another, and aaron or another character would kinda be like ..... and . i really thought one the things we were supposed to be following was how aaron helps bobby balance his views more. but. that never happens. like, we get more explanation on why bobby feels he has to be critical about stuff but like he just continues to basically be a buzzkill about shit and aaron just has to accept it and idk. i feel like the rest of the direction was really weird if the point wasnt bobby becoming a little more leveled??

3. ok so. this was one of my bigger issues i guess. i need to give some plot background: bobby and aaron agreed to 'not date' but basically end up dating for a while. aarons family comes to the city for christmas and bobby is gonna meet them and aaron asks him to just sort of be a little chill with them bc theyre accepting and all but yk. theyre his parent and bobby is really intense about stuff. bobby doesnt really take kindly to that even tho he acts to aaron like he gets it, and basically like. brings the family on a tour for the city and talks about the craziest shit like "oh this is where the first sex something something idk happened" "this is where the dyke march happened" stuff like that and aaron gets pissed at him and is like dude can u please just tone it down and bobbys like "what u want me to be less myself with them?" and aaron is like "?! kind of rn yes." and bobbys like ok fine. and they go to dinner and bobby gets into an argument with the mom who is a 2nd grade teacher about teaching lgbt stuff to kids that young and everytime they agree to disagree he keeps going and then goes on a tangent about sex positivity being important to children and how when he was a kid and his parents took him to some show where there was naked men and he literally just kept talking about their penises and how many penises he saw and oh my god. after the night ended aaron was pissed at him and bobby got so mad and was saying how aaron is just like everyone in his life whos tried to make him hide who he is and stuff. aaron tells him hes leaving to meet w a guy whos into him. bobby finds them making out which yes was wrong of aaron but technically they were both making a big deal from the get go that they werent relationship people and stuff. the rest of that half of the movie for aaron is basically having to make it up to bobby and apologize for making him hide himself??? and the only time bobby apologizes is after aaron has to again and again and says he felt bobby was talking about all that stuff to his parents on purpose and bobby said "i was. im sorry for that." THAT WAS HIS APOLOGY??? Im sorry but like yes be urself and if aaron loves how intense u are somehow great but theres a fucking time and place. dont fucking cross ur parnters boundries bc u didnt communicate ur issues with them, especially when it isnt that hard of a boundry to not cross. i just really disliked the framing of it. sorry but yea if my partner was really inappropriate or excessive about complaints about straight people and was meeting my parents i WOULD ask them to be chill and id fucking hope they wouldnt jeaprodize my relationship with either them or my parents by being like 'well i wanna say whatever i wanna say to anyone i want so i dont care if my partner is uncomfortable with these topics in front of this audience.' like even aarons brother finds out and is like dude u gotta make it up to him. what????? that shit really bothered me as someone who has been in scenarios similar to that with my friends

Putting a disclaimer on this that I do not actually support omocat (I haven’t honestly looked that far into any of the controversies cause like... the thing is that I don’t care it’s not, in fact, normal to have to keep tabs on every content creator whose work you’ve ever engaged with to ensure they’re good people you can unconditionally support lol)

But like have you noticed that any time a “problematic creator” is marginalized in some meaningful way suddenly discourse groups who benefit from demonizing marginalized people get super stir crazy about it but anyone with enough privilege (white men for example) can do literally whatever the fuck they want and very few people will give a shit about it?

Like okay going to be real if a singlet is like really fucking hell bent on how horrible omori is to the point where they do ridiculous things like the post I just saw where someone on twitter put “op literally detonates bombs and is on an fbi watchlist” under playing omori in terms of problematic-behavior it really just highlights to me how much y’all fucking hate the idea of systems having literally anything for ourselves.

And if it was just omori I wouldn’t be saying this but like it’s not lost on anyone how if something highlights a marginalized group that it’s treated with like 5 times the harshness as just whatever privileged people make. Like how Ghost & Pals had to literally purge themself from social media other than the accounts they posted their music on because the harassment that started Only After They Came Out As Plural saying they were problematic for various things to the point where it triggered their fawn response so bad that their therapist had to instruct them to shut down their social media and set healthy boundaries with their fanbase. And there’s a lot of other examples like have you noticed that every time there’s mainstream queer media that branches out from having two white lesbians or gays hold hands a little bit it gets torn to shreds by discourse groups like you have to have noticed this shit.

Like obviously you need to be critical obviously you should not be supporting creators who are using their platforms to harm people or whose content is inherently irreparably flawed but I think if you have this idea that you can only support who random various discourse groups say you can you’re probably going to end up in an echochamber that serves their agendas like it’s just weird at this point yk?

of course of course!! im going to answer the second question first because the novel bit will take me a while and the things i recommend might. spark some idea in myself as i think about them djdjdjjdfw.

anyways for supplemental resources, totally check out let’s talk about myths baby’s episode on the bacchae. it’s a two part one but it should be available on spotify/youtube whatever. that’s what really got me thinking about the themes!! this text about a transgender reading of the bacchae was one of the first texts i read analyzing it. this one is so so good it really provides you with an overview of the whole thing while also being really insightful as to the symbols and stuff in the play. also some of the lines are literally sooo silly. i have more but i think those are good to start!!

anyways as for this hypothetical novelization of the bacchae. i will divide it up into two sections, the dream version that is sooo fucked up (important!!) and truly adds to the play by highlighting the emotional struggles of the characters and the absolute worst idea someone could have about it. my dream version takes the form of not like. an outright horror novel but more like. a psychological horror i suppose?? i think ideally we would spend most of the novel describing pentheus’ thoughts (i KNOW the play is from mostly the pov of dionysus but. who cares it’s my idea.) and how they progressively become less structured and sane as it goes on. mind you in this time that he’s becoming almost incoherent, he’s also becoming. significantly less repressed. DO i think he and dionysus should ever really flirt. NO that’s a betrayal of the source material. do they have weird homoerotic moments that sort of serve to make everyone a little tiny bit uncomfortable? yes that is what the whole thing is about!! obviously by the end the main point of view switches from pentheus (as he has. yk. died.!) to agave. we see her thoughts as she slowly comes out of that frenzy she was in and realizes the extent of what she has done. dionysus is not portrayed outright as a villain, seeing as his actions were. justified to some extent, albeit an overreaction. so yeah that is the ideal.

now for the worst thing you could do. so you know how the song of achilles was like here’s how we can make a gay couple heterosexual by reinventing traditional gender roles of the soft feminine partner and the aggressive masculine partner? literally. that but with pentheus and dionysus. do i know how exactly one would get to that point? no. but i can imagine it. i think agave would be portrayed as a terrible person who was so selfish and absorbed in her own mind to realize what she was doing and also yk how dionysus and pentheus are soooo fucked up and evil? like they fundamentally need each other, pentheus to learn about himself and dionysus to prove himself? they Take That Out. make them Normal. which is arguably the worst thing you could do.

I’m kinda surprised the plot was so plain? short? for an uchikoshi game like it wasn’t bad per se just kinda “oh maybe it’s this guy oh maybe it’s that guy” bam it’s the guy you’ve never met bc we’re hoping you didn’t play ztd lol

also not sure how I feel abt “he’s only happy when he’s killing ppl” that feels like such a weak trait I’m not even touching the mental health part I’m just talking character wise he was rly flat. like, I’m sorry you got mommy and daddy issues but so does mizuki and she didn’t kill ppl abt it

for the most part the humor was. there. date is pathetic and yeah that’s fun but there’s only so many sex jokes until it just gets annoying. sorry for skipping like all of date and aibas banter it will happen again

okay so speaking of characters I just couldn’t like. I’m sorry I’m an iris hater she’s so annoying. like it was fun with the whole ‘clever internet idol who lies for a following’ thing they tried to build, but eventually it was just funny tiktok girl. I can already hear that awful tts “ice machine prank gone wrong” I just couldn’t get into her thing and the credits scene at the end was stupid and I literally walked away from it.

I’m also a ota hater and not sorry abt this one he’s so dumb I don’t like how his character is “justified” and also I don’t like that he’s 24. Actually why are there so many adults trying to be sexual with kids idc if she’s 18 she’s in school so she’s a kid. Even her scenes w date were weirdly borderline, like they felt so off it made me gross esp the dating shit

ALSO I don’t like the weird setting up date with hitomi like I get it but I don’t like it I think her character could’ve been more than just ‘mom and love interest’ I also think manaka’s whole thing was kinda boring like at first I thought they had preserved her body for stem cells to treat iris but no they just. froze her for??? the hell of it

the voice acting was good Allegra Clark (Boss) did a fabulous job as always and so did Erika Harlatcher (Aiba) (tho I could only hear ann p5). Corina Boettger (mizuki) rly stole the show tho she had such a believable child’s voice she wasn’t just high pitch adult woman her lines GOT me whenever she cried

I played the switch version and it sucked so bad. controls are clunky and imprecise, and so so sooo slow loading like every time the little AI vision would pop up it would take a solid 10 s to load and you’re just sitting there. Considering how many of these scenes there are, it was so obnoxious. It even crashed for me twice trying to load ai vision, both during the driving sequences.

pewter was cool tho be gay do crimes

overall I’m glad I played but I’m glad I got it on sale yk? fun little 15 hr game with some replayability but considering they refused to let you go 5 sec without a flashback there’s not /that/ much. I liked the concept art additions tho

ANYWAYS we don't know how to actually add onto the conversations that are already going on and this is probably gonna meander to some very random and very weird places since it's a stream of thought thing but

And we can guarantee you the men have also been through fucked up bullshit

Like we don't know how to tell you this but we have a coworker we talk to for literal hours on end because we like the JJBA anime and he also likes the JJBA franchise in general, and we have never seen him talk so much except for when it comes to JJBA. It's not like it's without its problems but we just find it interesting because the way it portrays masculinity is just...different, and some of that is bad sure but that's true for everything and honestly, some of that has also been very good at least compared to what we have seen/been exposed to prior to seeing JJBA, at least in our current memory. We just think. This might be worth thinking about.

It shouldn't take something that's very obviously gore-y and on the creepier end and probably meant more for adults to be exposed to the idea that "masculinity not bad, and also doesn't always require stoicism," you know? It shouldn't take 20+ years for something so fucking simple to be more explicitly portrayed or explained or whatever

There's more to that stream of thought in the above paragraph but we'll be going on for forever if we keep going so we'll just stop that one where it's at

And also can we talk about how JJBA has been the only GNC as fuck and probably also Gay as fuck thing we have ever seen that doesn't seem to pigeonhole masculinity in the same way a lotta stuff does?

Like, man, for example we like H×H and all especially since it was our first exposure to endogenic systems and also endogenic systems being allowed to be fucked up and systems being accepted by their brothers and all of that but Hisoka and Illumi being the literal abusers is. Hmmmmm it's something and we don't like it. And somehow this is in juxtaposition to both, like, Kurapika who is obviously justified in his anger but we don't understand why the androgynous marginalized tribal boy has to be the one going on a bloody fucking revenge quest or whatever and both of these are in juxtaposition to, like, the chimera ants later on, and those are in juxtaposition to Gon and Killua, do you get what we're saying here??? Like we can't articulate it very well, but it's bothersome to us.

Let's ignore the fact that, for this entire post, we have only ever mentioned anime. Every piece of representation we have seen for systems in other types of media has been lackluster at best, and at worst is literally bullshit like "waah! Evil killer personality!! The system must always fuse and a system is automatically un-personed!!" and meanwhile, as a system who wants to be multiple and was born multiple and is endogenic, in anime we get not just traumagenic disorderes systems but, again, we get protogenic-endogenic systems of various types through Shugo Chara (and it even explicitly states the headnates can be "reborn again," which to us sounds like coming out of dormancy!!), supernatural systems like alluka and nanika through H×H, JJBA is literally The Autistic Plurality Anime(tm) after Jotaro shows up we stg because of those stands being introduced, and then you also still have traumagenic systems like the ones you normally assume to be systems. Yk?

We don't know why systemhood keeps popping up in our mind when we talk about this. Once upon a time, talking to our colleague at university, you know, the one who was the head of the department of gifted education, she once noted that the majority of us had internally masculine to masculine-leaning presentations within the system.

This, of course, was when we only had 20 to 30 people in our head. Just a thought for us to sit on later. Many of us were and still are fictives, and while there are more of us now (so, so many) that statement still holds true, this is despite folks like The Aria existing who seem to be just fine as women-in-suits and hyperfeminine people such as Lucy Heartfillia existing within our head now.

It's mostly the boys who front, but because of our feminine presentation (read: boobs) and the fact not all of us are just 100% man, it is uncomfortable for us either way to use either restroom, so we simply Do Not Change anything. We will not bother asking folks to use he/him for us since they/them is more digestible and we already have so many issues in retail getting folks to respect us anyways.

It's not...really about the bathrooms. It is!! But it also isn't. Even if we had the ideal world in which we could enter whichever ones we wanted and we looked the way we wished to and everyone and everything was just ~stellar~ we would not, and could not, enter the gendered bathrooms.

We guess, in a way, this makes us functionally genderfluid rather then just nonbinary or GNC boygirl or a girlboy or everything else we could tell people we are, functionally speaking.

We do not mind our chest or our afab bottom area, until people say something stupid that causes social dysphoria to run into physical dysphoria and turn it into a neverending feedback loop. We do not like kids. No, not like that. We loathe the idea of, crudely putting it, of popping one out, and would much rather eviscerate ourselves.

Some customer once said a compliment that evoked these feelings, and we turned around to a coworker and muttered in response "how about we throw our (literal) bloody pad at them, and see how they take that as an answer??" and that was that.

When asking some of the Haileys about it, they echoed the same sentiments over and over. "I would simply die — in headspace I mean!! So the body is okay and we can keep going, yea?" and if that isn't a cry for help, we have no clue what is.

It is only ever these particular kinds of reminders that evoke this, nothing less. We feel the same ideas over marriage and talking about it this morning, there is nothing that could ever convince us otherwise. Even if marriage would be open to polyam relationships, even is the sex shit wasn't required or whatever so asexual people did not get oppressed, even that, would not convince us that marriage isn't just some sort of trap and something that everyone should find revolting. Or maybe we're just shitheads, we don't know. Maybe we are just aro. But no, everyone realized awhile ago we are functionally aroace and this doesn't explain everything at all, yeahp.

But no, we aren't men. We will simply Not Be. Whatever. Right. Nope. Yep, definitely female despite having posted this on our Mastodon once:

We just don't know how to talk about this intelligently. Boys usually have a shitton of intergenerational trauma from, like, being boys, we don't think "boys will be boys," should mean what it currently means, you get our jist. Doubly so for boys who are, like, marginalized in any way.

Do you get what we mean? Is this so unintelligible that we cannot get the emotions to our words across the void to everyone else?
