tell me how i see dream’s minecraft head as a literal face with expressions even though it’s literally just a green square with a black line at the bottom what brand of mental illness is that
realizing that in the end, it was completely true that c!techno and c!dream had the same goals, it was just their methods that were so wildly different and incompatible (for the most part). even if neither of them really knew it.
because techno wanted all those he cared about to be safe and free from the coercion and corruption of government because he wanted his friends to be able to go to a birthday party and not worry!
because dream wanted all those he cared about to be able to have fun and be carefree like it was in the beginning because he wanted it to be simple so he wouldn't have to be alone anymore!
at the most basic level, it's the same goal. it's just everything that came after...
Hello!! I saw your post about sending more request but i dont know if you do angst but can you do a dteam forgetting about your birthday? If i remember correctly they're in chile, so you're like stuck in florida with patches all alone.
(Im totally not resquesting because my friends forgot about mine haha)
yeah, i can :)
DTEAM forgetting your birthday
soft music played throughout the house, as you sat curled up in a ball on the couch; patches laid at your side.
you knew there was nobody in the house, though you still tried to keep your sobs silent. trying your best to catch your breath.
it was nearing around 4pm in Florida, around 6pm in Chile – where the boys currently where.
to say the least, you felt insanely lonely.
and you hadn't had a single 'happy birthday!' message from either of the boys.
yes, you realised they'd probably be busy. but sparing a few minutes to text or call just to wish you a happy birthday was really not that much.
you knew george may have forgotten easily, but expected at least dream to remember.
it hurt that they didn't.
and it was white noise from the trio.
music was playing, and a movie on the TV, just to fill the deafening silence.
friends and family had sent a message or two to wish you it.
but not the boys. your boys.
so, you kept sending countless messages throughout the day.
sure, you kept overthinking it would bother them, but you wanted a happy birthday wish.
one of which, you didn't get.
so, you turned off all of the lights in the house, turning off the music and tv. rushing upstairs, you grabbed one of george's shirts, tugging it on over your head.
after, you shuffled to get one of sapnap's hoodies – pulling that on over your head, before rushing over to dream's bed and crawling into it.
pulling the covers up to your chin, you laid; wiping all tears from your face and scrolling through tiktok to take your mind away from it.
it was comforting, wearing their clothes and laying in one of their beds – all 3 of their signature aftershave scents overwhelming your senses.
all until your ringtone sounded from your phone speaker.
displayed on your screen.
wiping your face void of all tears, sniffling softly and portraying a small smile as you swiped answer to the call.
‘hey, sunshine! im so sorry we haven't been able to talk to you all day, we've been super busy and nobody has given us any free time – ’
‘stop rambling, dream! happy birthday sweetheart, i promise you when we get back we're gonna have the best celebration ever! and we'll give you your presents. i am so so sorry we're not with you.’ sapnap cut off dreams rambling, speaking up.
‘what sapnap said, happy birthday, love.’ george spoke softly, a smile on his face.
dream nodded in agreement, ‘happy birthday. we love you.’
you sniffled, snuggling more into the covers. ‘thank you. when will you be home?’
‘we're leaving soon, so not too long.’ sapnap responded for them.
the conversation over the phone lasted for another good few hours, and eventually turned into a sleep call.
a very comforting way to end the day.
and you got those birthday wishes after all.
