Anyways here’s some stuff i would do if disney came up to me and said hey write ducktales season 4 -
- Webby has a major identity crisis because of the clone thing, that’s her main plot this season. She’s trying to figure out who she is whilst the entire world is continuously comparing her to Scrooge.
- BIG emphasis on family vs biology.
- If in writing this s4 i can’t make any changes to the previous seasons then i don’t think i can get rid of the dad thing bc like, it’d be weird if they made a big deal abt her calling scrooge dad and then nerfed it next season, like as a viewer i’d find that weird, so we’re keeping that. With the extension of her, at some point, starting to call Beakley mum
- Maybe our big “twist” this season is that webby isn’t related to scrooge, but she still calls him dad in the end
- Huey is ALSO having an identity crisis! We’re playing with the fact that his arch didnt get revolved last season. He’s always been the smart one out of his brothers, but now Louie is shaping up to be a successful business person and Dewey is gonna be a pilot, and Huey has no idea what he’s doing with his life.
- May and june are with donald and daisy on their like cruise thing the whole season, and appear once per episode via a zoom call on an ipad. Donald and daisy appear sometimes too. Their whole running bit is that they’re convinced they’re now leading a normal life but it becomes increasingly obvious they’re just as weird as donald (affectionate). The four of them appear in person in the season finale
- We will not be introducing any new characters for no reason I swear to god. The only new character i’m even CONSIDERING introducing is Morgana and that’s it. This season will have a much heavier focus on our actual main characters. Aside from maybe morgana the only “new” characters would be mentioned, like an adult talking about their parents or showing a picture
- Beakley officially retires this season (not immediately, a couple episodes in, we get an ep about it)
- She also feels very guilty about all the lying so in an effort to stop doing that she has now flipped to the opposite end of the spectrum - brutal honesty. She speaks her mind 100% of the time and she rarley has nice things to say. You are never more than 5 minutes away from beakley roasting the shit out of you because that was just on her mind
- For simplicity’s sake she never had any kids before webby, that was a complete lie and the “Mrs” thing was an alias. I don’t want to spend time introducing three new characters, i wanna focus on our existing ones.
- For the first episode or two she is intentionalyl side lined, and then we get an ep more focused on her which shows she not only feels incredibly guilty abt the events of last season, but she also feels liek she doesn’t have a place in the family and is just there bc she’s the housekeeper. This episode would end with her finally officially retiring and staying in the manor, showing that she’s there because she’s family, not because she’s staff.
- Once retired we also get an episode that just shows beakley going stir crazy bc she’s bad at being retired lol
- An episode about sccrooge and beakley bonding! Scrooge sees webby and her friends together, or maybe they ask him who his best friend is and he’s like ah me and beakley! But then realises they haven't been as close in the past few years and whisks her off on a good ol mcduck and 22 adventure
- Hdlw sibling content. We are getting a reference to them seeing eachother as siblings like it or not. Maybe it happens bc webby goes “Hey, technically i’m your cousin” and the boys go “uh, no. you’re our sister, end of”
- W e b l e n a. Not clickbait. We resolve lena’s outburst at may and june from last adventure, we see her and violet talking and violets like “you dont see webby as your sister. You’’re very gay for her”
- LP being smart. We get some of that. We see his emotional maturity.
- Louie and dewey kinda take a backseat this season. They get some episodes and they’re, yk, there for a lot of them as supporting characters but their main archs are mainly resolved, so they mainly get some mini stuff this season
- Our big bad this season is probably negaduck bc like i said im not introducing a new villain
- I do think it’d be kinda cool to have a fucked up heron who clawed her way out of non existance and is in this fucked up glitched half alive state, who’s only purpose and thoughts are to destroy mcduck and 22
- Also at least one flashback episode, maybe a mothers day special that has the kids bonding with della and beakley in the present, and keeps having flashbacks to della and bealey having an adenture in the past
- Webbys starts calling della Aunt Della, the boys start calling Beakley Aunt B (usually i like the idea of them calling her granny like webby but if she’s calling beakley mom then that doesn’t make sense. Also it’d play into the “you have a very strange family dynamic thing” since they’re siblings but also theyve got two seperate moms)
- The boys get a bonding ep with scrooge to show he still values them even though webby is his “”real kid””
- Ep abt the boys missing donald on his trip :( maybe this is the first time we see donald on the facetime call
- I like the idea of sometimes there just being. Other people in the facetime calls. Like the kids are trying to talk to may and june and the three caballeros are int he background. Storkules is serenading donald and daisy. “Oh yeah those are our other parents. Donald and daisy have quite the polycule going on. You should see aunt min- *connection failed*”
- I wanna do smthn with the darkwing trio that can resolve with gos calling drake dad (maybe in the finale he gets injured and shes like NO DAD)
- Maybe an ep where webby finds out gos and dewey are close and she’s like wait. But WE are best freinds and hes like bruh youve got lena why cant i vibe with gosalyn. And webby tries really hard to have beef with gos but she just can’t do it she’s too nice and they end up being a trio
- An episode where fergus and downy visit the manor. And it turns out they’ve met beakley before bc scrooge used to bring her over sometimes and they’ve long since gone “yup thats our daughter. Wdym you just has the sibling talk recently bro we’ve known this for years we have 3 daughters moving on”
- Maybe matilda comes too and she and beakley have a sister bonding ep (bc beakley and scrooge will prolly have already had a few this season)
- I’d wanna have the kids bonding with fergus and downy for the main plot bc honestly we’ve not seen much of that lmao. Also donald talks to them on his zoom call bc yeah idk
- DELLA TALKS ABT HER TRUAMA. FROM BEING ON THE FUCKING MOON.
- Dellumbra :)
- bonding ep for the boys and beakley

if season 4 happened, do you think they'd change the intro to incorporate may and june? : r/ducktales
Well now as a follow up to my previous post I am even more curious about this individual. Especially with this discussion here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now I can at least collaborate the Negaduck stuff since I have seen posts on it and the thing on Donald's and Della's parents with this moment fron the art boom here.
Tumblr media
Negaduck is brought up here as well.
Tumblr media
But I can't find any proof of what else he was saying like as the other guy said. And considering what else is said in the book I think the twist was planned since the beginning and the others were backup ideas just in case it continued. If anyone can contact him on anything else please let me know. I am quite curious about it. But with everything I have seen I belive the only answer to this whole Season 4 thing, especially with what Frank once said, is that they probably didn't have an exact end idea and already figured that Season 3 would be their last. The equivalent I can find is this on Transformers Animated Season 4 which Matt Youngburg was also involved in.

THE Yugo defense post.
I am (hopefully) very confident in saying that there are probably a lot of these types of posts lying around, but since the argument has never been truly put to rest even after the show's finale, I feel like it's truly time for someone to give his own two cents again and take a stand against Yugo's haters, because by Osamodas that child cannot catch a break.
(Also I haven't seen season 4 but I know a couple of things about it, but I will focus mostly on 1 to 3 plus The quest for the six Elatrope Dofus).
So I am going to start this post by talking about my own personal character arc in learning to love Yugo, because oh boy, it was a wild and unexpected journey for me. Now, I, personally, am someone who tends to prefer villains and antagonists over heroes and protagonists. That's not uncommon, plenty of people are like that, no, I don't want a spinoff that turns the villain into the protagonist because that would make them less interesting as now we need to learn almost everything about them in order for the story to keep our attention. Therefore, as you can imagine, Nox was my selling ticket for the show. I got the small, almost non existent hype around him and it got me interested. Season 1 ended, it was a banger, but at the time, all I got to think about was Nox and how much I was grieving him. I didn't really think about anything else regarding the season, all I got was him and his arc. I needed a way to overcome the grief, so eventually, I learned that season 2 also had a pretty good villain, so I said "hey, let's use the possible trauma caused by this new baddie to overcome the trauma caused by the previous one" and started watching season 2. Love love love Qilby. And I am going to bring it back up later, but the season 2 finale is the definitive moment where I became invested with Yugo and got deeply interested in him. Eventually, when I watched The quest for the six Elatrope Dofus, I was just deeply in love with him, rooting for him at every turn, and generally, just cheering the guy.
And then.... there it comes season 3. My Iop. I was already spoiled by the fact that season 3 was disappointing, so I kept my expectations as low as possible, but sweet home Alabama I was not prepared at all, if the season had just been bad I would have called it a day, but no, the season is wasted potential at its finest, so many incredible ideas rushed and fumbled, Oropo would have been my favourite villain in the show had he been written better and preplanned, he feels like the Bradford Buzzard of Wakfu and his Brotherhood is its F.O.W.L.
However, while the writing took a nose dive in season 3, I started to realise something that I didn't notice before: damn, I really care about the main cast. Not just Yugo. All of them. This is something that distinguishes Wakfu from other shows: most of the time, writers focus more on making the protagonists immediately likable and interesting, which makes sense, as they are the cornerstone of most stories, but Wakfu differs in the way it endears us to its cast since I didn't feel like the show made a great effort in investing us to the protagonists in the first two episodes, they introduced their personality, quirks, and characteristics, but they didn't show us their struggles beyond Pin Pin's quabble with Rubilax, and this creates the ripple effect later on in the show where you become surprised in your backwards investment of their journey, because that's not how the story started with and yet you can clearly discern their development quite a lot.
And this brings us to Yugo, whose Wakfu untraditional deuteragonism creates a weird case of main character where, the actual season focuses on Tristepan and his journey, but since Sadlygrove is also his own worst enemy with the exception of Dark Vlad, the actual main villain of the season is a foil for Yugo and develops him into a more mature individual.
Which, finally, brings us to the main reason of hatred from some (fake) fans: the villains. The villains in Wakfu tend to be very complex and compelling, while in contrast, Yugo stays mostly static and simple before being confronted with said opponent; then for specific cases of flandarized vitriol, we have:
- Yugo did not try to talk out Nox from his plan nor did he console him, which led to his demise (Pure evil).
- Yugo willingly locked Qilby in the White Dimension again with full knowledge of the reasons why Qilby did what he did (Jerk).
- Yugo accidentally (but not really) created Oropo which caused insane damage to the world of twelve and created all of the problems of the series up to this point (Meh. Still an absentee abusive father).
- Yugo limited himself to locking up the Necromes to starve for eternity rather than killing all of them (Ok).
And I am going to run through each and every single one of them.
- First: Yugo did not know anything about Nox but he killed off Grougaloragran earlier on and his Time Razor just killed Yugo's friend a couple of minutes before their fight, which led Yugo, a child, to his very first fit of rage and did not esitate or waste time to attack Nox, a dangerous murderer who wanted to steal his hat. But when he finally realised what Nox's plan was, he told the Sadida warriors to back off, but since it was already too late for him, Nox left the battlefield of his own volition and ended his life.
- Second: Qilby was a great bastard. A complicated and caring one, but a jerk nonetheless. And yet, Yugo knew and deeply felt that even he didn't deserve to be in the White Dimension, one of the most cruel and gruesome fates any villain could face, but he had no other choice, because if he didn't do that, Qilby would have destroyed the world. And even then, later on in the series the thing that Yugo hated Qilby the most about was not anything that he did, but rather the punishment that he forced Yugo to inflict on him.
- Third: Oropo is just a freak show of a writing mess that I can't even point out how much Yugo is to blame for his condition, at least Yugo feels bad about the Eliotropes, so there, Yugo feels empathy.
- Fourth: Sorry, didn't watch season 4, but again, I assume it was like a binary choice like season 2, Yugo is definitely more of law enforcer despite his carefree nature, he was destined to become King and he just accepts it, in contrast to Amalia's rebelliousness and lack of a forced incoronation (opposite attract each other).
Amalia's going to die one day, and Yugo's going to live for thousands of years and never abolish or question the monarchy. It's sad, but his existence is pretty sad.
As for people claiming that Yugo's an overpowered Gary Sue, I'm sorry but as long as a character faces struggles in any meaningful way then you can't claim that they just break the narrative.

the fact that Ducktales has a total of FIVE (5!!!!) different pitch bibles in the leak is CRAZY to me
especially when you read through them, and it seems that everyone just repeatedly looked at the triplets, and went "That blue one - he's going to be the nerd. That red one? He's the impulsive, bad boy. And the green one? Uh... he's the sensitive one. He likes... uhh... plants. Because he's green <3"
also, the fact that TWO of the pitches are dated TWO DAYS from each other in 2014 is crazy. One of them is from Paul Dini! Especially bc NEITHER of those are what they end up picking up!! Bc even though there isn't a date attached, Frank and Becky's original pitch has to be from this time, because their next one (the comic one from 2015) is so much more closer to the original show.
it's also so interesting that in Frank and Becky's original pitch they just- they get rid of Webby COMPLETELY in order to introduce June, who is really just Webby, which is really funny bc in the actual show, she ends up being April in the end lol
also with all the talk of June, there's zero mentions of April and May besides the fact that They Exist and how they're in, like, one concept art
there's also no mention of Mrs. Beakley in Frank and Becky's original pitch (besides a mention of how the women in DT87 were written in a sexist, trope- and stereotype-heavy manner), BUT there is mention of Mrs. Beakley in Schooley and McCorkle's pitch... and she also happens to be a spy and not a nanny.
I haven't gone through and read all the scripts yet, but just by reading all the pitches, it's just so interesting and cool how many bits and pieces from previous pitches end up in the final product!!! Webby knowing karate, the black sheep good Beagle Boy, Waddle being a stand-in for Google from Dini's pitch!!! how Joe Pitt's episode concepts seemed to lay the groundwork for 2017 episodes!! it's all just really fun to see all the connections, lol

My brother is also a fan of DuckTales and has a similar sense of humor to mine so he reads my fanfics, and this exchange from Indi-Quack!’s What’d I Miss?! is one he often brings up as one of his favorites
Tumblr media
I love it to but part of me knows it would work so much better in a more visual medium. Hopefully everyone who reads it can see the facial expressions on Della, Gandra, and Gyro that I see in my mind
I’ve said it before but I love writing these four together because honestly, I don’t know who is the most “mature” of these four. If they were on adventure together I wouldn’t know who should be the default leader
Also Gandra casually stating she doesn’t care if Della takes off her pants is like the first gay moment of the story so that’s great too

I know I’m currently fixating on Fenton, but in a couple of hours it’ll mark six months since I started shipping with Rex!! I had planned to have it finished by now but you know, life, and working full-time and such :’3 plus I’m starting to feel like I wanna do more experimenting with it so I dunno when it’ll be finished but, it’s a pretty huge milestone and my love for Rex isn’t going anywhere anytime soon!

If it's gonna bring in any one character from DWD, I'd rather it be Honker than Morgana. Honker is a far more prominent member of Team Darkwing.
Tbh I’ve only seen a few episodes of Darkwing and mostly know about it from info I’ve gathered from friends so I just know a bit more about Morgana than Honker lol
I’m still not sure if I’d add Morgana, I don’t think I would honestly, I just wanted to like throw her in there in case I ever made content of this ‘au’ in future and had her there, so I didn’t need to explain myself lol

And yet another thing involving Accomplished_Area311 but this time another guy named BreathoftheChild also had something to say and wrote down a few examples. I now really am curious about this topic. I still am questioning if I and/or anyone else would like to ask these two about it or if they would like to make a post about it. Again I don't know if everything they say is true or not but it does leave room for thought. I do wonder if they read the Art Book or not thought since the Hortense and Quackmore thing was meant to be part of the Grandma Duck Episode.

If you could write DuckTales season 4, how would you write it?
oh gosh XD
well if it was me, I'd have Fethry and Gladstone be more prominent, maybe fill in for Donald since he would be away on his trip with Daisy (if this season 4 is continuing off from the canon season 3, which i like that version of daisy so i'm cool with them dating)
As well as explore more of Huey and Boyd's friendship since we only had one episode with those two, maybe even bring in Louie and how he reacts to boyd considering the last time he saw him, boyd was gonna beat him like a pinata.
adventure episodes could have more of Scrooge showing over protectivness to Webby and her getting annoyed since she was fine before. and them working it out.
Side episodes of Donald, daisy and the girls, teaching them about the real world and helping them get used to how it really works.
