How about MC who just finds the weirdest places to sit because they have a mentality like a cat ("if it fits I sits" and "the higher the better")
pretty sure this Mc is the closest Satan will ever get to having a cat, hope you´ll like it
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lucifer:
at this point it´s just expected to see you in one of the Cupboards while he searches for his morning coffee
all you get is a good morning and get out of there before he has to force you
despite being used to it he does not tolerate your hobby, very rude of him if you ask me
you also hide in his closet once and even managed to scare him, but this was more because you sneaked in there while he was awake
also he heard you sneeze and jumped from the unexpected noise
a shame you didn´t have a camera or something similar with you it would have made for a funny picture/video
Mammon:
he hates that you keep hiding under his car to take a nap
partially because you´re scaring him when you come out of nowhere and he can´t tell anyone how he truly feels about you when you are around
or the time where you hid in his clothes to scare him
he denies that he was scared but the entire Devildom could hear him scream
he hates this habit of yours
everyday feels like a Horror Movie with you and he doesn´t know where you are
doesn´t help that you hide in your own room and no one can find you there
Leviathan:
how do you keep sneaking into his bathtub!? or hiding in his aquariums…
wait how do you keep sneaking in them and survive for hours!?
he´s very suspicious if you are even a Human, which I mean either way he would be right
this is even worse than the time he found you in the pantry and fainted
or literally any time he finds you, he´s convinced you don´t have any bones in your body
and the fact he found you in the washing machine multiple times cements this
Satan:
he would appreciate it more if he had a cat, when cats squeeze themselves anywhere it´s cute
and in your case? most of the times horrifying
especially because you keep hiding in his books stacks to jumpscare him
or that he actually saw you hide in a bottle once, no one knows how you got in there and how you got out of there without breaking anything of yours or the bottle
after this he decided to do some test
which was just him leaving out different objects hoping you would hide in them and he can see how you even fit
Asmodeus:
Mc stop hiding in his bathtub, if you want to surprise him choose something nicer
and stop hiding in his closet he keeps finding crumbs in there
and he saw you sit in a bottle once, he has no idea how you even got in there because the bottle neck was smaller than a Human
and you keep hiding in the smallest and most impossible places to scare him
but he is envious about how flexible you are, almost makes him jealous
but he hopes you could use that flexibility for something more fun~<3
Beelzebub:
so you are like Belphie but you´re just doing everything fully conscious and not sleep walking?
but he is worried that you keep crawling into the chandelier to hide from people
and you keep falling out of it to get down
he also saw you hide under Belphie´s bed, the only reason it was Belphie´s bed was because his is covered in crumbs
and you constantly hide in the pantry so you can have some peace and quiet
while also jumpscaring everybody who walks in there
and he saw you crawl into a bucket where you should not fit, he does not know if you´re a Human
Belphegor:
most of the time he doesn´t even notice your weird habit, he just knows he´s following his favorite pillow
and that you are somewhere he has to climb up to or can´t fir into
he can´t count the times he found you curled up into the laundry basket or a cardboard box
or that you´re often times in a very small crawlspace in the attic
he hates it especially because you sometimes hide in places to jumpscare him
and he can´t find you when you are hiding, it´s like your suddenly invisible
he even found you in a mouse hole once, to be fair it was a Devil Mouse and they are as big as cats but still a very small place

Always Back-William Afton x Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You are looking for another job after struggling financially. You find a help wanted sign to a once famous pizzeria. You set up a meeting with the manager of the place who seems to know you somehow.
(A/N: lately I've been too damn excited for the Fnaf movie and wanted to write something on Matthew Lillard's William Afton character. So be warned on some topics written here. I'll also be writing on Josh Hutchinson's' character of Mike.)
12:00 am
The loud sound of an alarm clock could be heard throughout the house. It's Midnight. My eyes were adjusted from being in the dark room, I remained silent, scared, could feel my heart beating faster every passing minute. Chills ran down my spine when the clock sounded for one last time…
Quietly I stepped out of my bed while holding onto my favorite stuffed plushie, passing through the closet just a few inches away from the front of my bed, immediately I stopped trying to listen for anything, trying to ignore the quiet ticking of the clock above my head.
Slowly I began to make my way over to the door and stopped once more. I hear something, maybe down the hall?
I pressed my ear against it, listening closely. After a couple of seconds I heard something loud. Curiosity got the best of me, quietly I opened the door and tried to see if I could spot anything through the dark hall.
Wait… Something's coming…
I jumped back and pull the door with me as I locked it and pressed my ear against the door again.
I could hear someone coming closer, until it stopped. I began to pant and felt my heart beating faster when I heard a scream coming from down the hall, the cries of a woman, my mother..and the shouting of a man.
Too scared to look again I slowly began to walk backwards while my eyes remained on the door when I could hear footsteps coming down the hall once more.
I jumped but made no sound when the door knob began to move, but it wouldn't open. I looked between my bed and the white closet closest to me. Sliding it open I hid myself inside and quietly closed it back, it was dark making it almost impossible to see now.
Carefully I made my way past a few boxes and draped a blanket over it and myself. I hugged my legs together and held onto my stuffed Foxy plush. I closed my eyes as I began to shake and I cowered myself closer to the corner when I heard the door to my room being unlocked.
The sound of my alarm clock began to blare and without looking at it, I grabbed it and slammed it against the floor making it shatter but the sound wouldn't stop. I groaned as I opened my eyes again and had to turn the thing off.
Once I did, I sat down in bed and began to push my hair away from my face and tried to calm my breathing. It's that same nightmare again.
I got out of my bed and went to get myself ready for the day, making sure to have my shower cold today.
I tied my hair with a few strands falling down my face and got into my car to head to my work for the day.
*"
"Excuse me, where's the horror section?" A woman came over to ask me when she saw me organizing a few dvds and shelves. I pointed out the section and glanced to see the lady looking at a few movies.
Working at a movie store doesn't earn much, but it's the only job I could find. Besides, it was the only job where I could be accepted as well, I used to dye my hair regularly but decided against it since some working places weren't fond of it, the into thing I had were a few ear piercings and one on my eyebrow.
Other than that, I get the boring jobs and have been struggling financially for a while now along with a friend, well, I consider the person a friend since he sometimes comes around with his little sister.
I believe I've heard his name is Mike and the little girl is Abigail.
I wonder if it's just the two of them living together. It must be nice to have a sibling or a family member to look after.
My thoughts were interrupted when the same lady from earlier came over to rent a movie. Who even rents movies anymore? People might ask and I do at certain times, but I do miss a few things I got to experience in my childhood..like…
I turned my head and saw a flier taped against the shops window. I looked around and saw there were no customers, it wasn't here early when I came in. I walked up the window read what was displayed on it
"Help Wanted. Security guard to work at Freddy's Pizzeria. No background check needed. For more information call this number…"
I furrowed my eyebrows looking at the paper, I grabbed it off from the window and took it back with me inside.
Freddy's Pizzeria. Now that's a name I haven't heard in over ten years.
Would it hurt to take another side job. Being a security guard isn't that hard after all, just losing a few hours of sleep and being alone for the night. I grabbed the work phone and began to dial the number on the paper sheet.
While the phone continued to ring I had my eyes on the pizzerias mascots, until finally the phone was picked up
"Hello? I'm calling about the night security guard. I'd like to apply for the job."
Right after my shift ended from work I immediately drove up to the pizzeria. It was almost in the middle of nowhere, the family friendly restaurant wad almost abandoned now.
I stepped out of my car and saw the pizzerias sign wasn't even over the restaurant anymore, but on the floor almost in ruin.
"Wow..this place became a shit hole." I mutter under my breathe and placed my keys inside my pockets.
Slowly I began to take steps closer to the building and saw how chipped the walls seemed and I remembered this place being so bright and full of life.
"Hello?" I knocked on the door and waited a couple of minutes but no one responded. I sighed loudly and began to pull onto the door until it opened and I stepped inside.
"Let's all sing happy birthday to the special birthday girl!"
Confetti rainbow colored filled the room with tons of party hats, balloons and presents. All the kids cheered including myself when the animatronics appeared onstage.
Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie. Including Foxy who was on pirate cove.
Everyone in my class was invited to my party, not that I was close to any of them. All of them were too young to understand the bruises on my face or arms so they made fun of me for that.
"So (Y/N), are you liking the day so far?" My mother asked.
I looked up at her and ignored her bruised eye, I nodded my head. "I am."
Of course I was, but I wondered how she got the money to save up and be able to do this birthday for me, since every few times I've come here, the pizzeria doesn't have an open slot for a birthday to be done in here.
I had been playing by myself and with a few kids late on, by the time I returned to my seat I found a single present with my name on it. My mother said that it wasn't from her.
Looking back to my left I remembered the memories of my birthday and the exact spot I was seated. All my mother ever told me was that my birthday here was already paid, it was probably paid by each parent in my class.
Next I stared at the stage in front of me. It was covered by a curtain and I really wanted to see what was on the other side.
I began to slowly step forward until I heard footsteps behind me and I screamed and held onto my chest and saw a man in front of me. He quickly stepped back and held his hands ups.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you." The man laughed.
He was older than me that's for sure. Maybe early 50's, he seemed attractive for his age. Though the Dahmer glasses weren't something I was expecting.
"Are you (Y/N) (L/N)?" he asked fixing his glasses and stand up straight.
"Yes! Sorry, yes I am. And you're?"
"Steve Raglan. I'm the manager at Freddy's Pizzeria. Please let's step into my office do I can further explain things to you."
I did as told and began to follow the man. We made it to his office and I could see his name written on the desk as well when he went to sit on the other side.
We each took our seats and I saw him take out a notebook and began to write on it. "Alright, (Y/N). Tell me a bit about yourself, why do you want the job?"
"I thought the paper said there was no need of a background check." I joked and saw that he wasn't smiling.
"I'm aware of that but I'm just making sure that you'll be perfect for the job without any sort of problems. We can't let any stranger in here, what if I were to hire a murderer?" Steve chuckled once and tapped his pen again.
"Right..umm. I'm just interested in the money if I'm honest. Are you planning on reopening the restaurant soon?"
Steve seemed to think about it for a few seconds. "Of course. I would love to see the place filled with joy again and the laughter of children most of all."
"You are right. Thinking hard about it, it would be nice for a new generation of kids to experience Freddy's Pizzeria."
This seemed to interest Steve. "You would come here often?"
"Not that much, only whenever a classmate of mine would decide to spend their birthday here. I really enjoyed it here and seeing the animatronics. Foxy was my favorite." I tell him.
He hums and continues to take notes. "You do seem like a Foxy fanatic to me." He jokes and I smirk back.
"What would yours be? Freddy?
Steve shakes his head a bit. "Something like that. Let's say it's a rabbit…" He says smiling a bit. He places the pen down and folds his hands together now looking back at me.
"I think I've seen you at the mall. You work at a movie store, correct?"
"So now you're a stalker." I question feeling just a bit weirded out by it.
"I'm a busy man to be doing such things. I've just visited the place once and if I'm not mistaken, you look like one of the girls working there."
I nod my head once and crossed my arms over my chest. "I'm not quite hard to miss either. Yes I do work there. If I'm able to get this second job, I'll surely move into a nicer place."
He raised an eyebrow. "Second one? Don't your parents help you out?"
"My mom only cares to contact with me if I have money to help her out. And about my dad, well I never met the man. I did have a stepdad but he's not important." I simply tell him not to say anymore or remember the past.
Steve Raglan looked at his wrist watch and then back at me. "Miss (Y/N). I can't say you're hired right away since there's another person who contacted me right when you came in. Let's make this fun. You and this other person will stay for the night and we'll see which one can handle it."
"Which one can survive the night." He smiled.
"I'm willing to work extra hours if it means that I'll have the job." I said standing up and he did the same.
He held his hand out for a handshake. "Then I'm looking forward to see who wins. Now, follow me I'll be handing out your uniform."
I smiled at Steve and began to follow him over to the storage area. I sniffed the air and it wasn't a quite pleasant smell, but I decided not to comment on it. It was kinda dark but I could see a Bonnie head on the far corner and a few other items.
"I want you here at 12 o'clock sharp. No delays." Steve said handing me my uniform and a few more things.
Looking up at the man I nodded my head again and smiled. "Of course, Sir." I tell him and could've sworn I saw his expression change a bit.
"Great. I hope you and your partner will get along. I look forward to seeing your progress." Steve said guiding back to the main entrance. With a quick goodbye, Steve closed the doors behind him leaving me alone outside.
I started going back into my car and looked at Freddy's Pizzeria. My new job. Let's see what's do complicated about this job.

I've been meaning to make a list of spooky (Thai - because negl that's 99% of what I watch) BL series and movies and what better time to post this than in October?
Spooky BL are my favourite flavour of BL. Turns out, there's actually a lot of them (maybe because Thailand does horror so well). These are only the ones I've watched (and enjoyed) so this list isn't complete.
*On another note: horror doesn't faze me at all so I can't really accurately say how scary some of these are. If you have squicks or triggers like jump scares, gore or bad endings please feel free to ask and I will do my best to give you a heads-up.
✨Spooky Thai BL✨
He's Coming To Me | Probably one of the first series everyone will think of. Not that spooky but a solid ghost(love) story with a murder mystery at its core.
Hidden Love | This is a budget show filmed under serious constraints during the worst of the covid pandemic. It's clichéd. It's over the top. But it's also got its charms. It comes with a tragic ghost (love) story that completely overshadows everything else with its many flashbacks and plot twists. If you manage to get over the camp. I warned you.
Tumblr media
Dear Doctor I'm Coming For Soul | This one has reapers and ghosts and lots of bittersweetness. It's not that creepy since the supernatural elements are very matter-of-fact. It will make you cry though, sorry. :(
Tumblr media
Ghost Host, Ghost House | Spooky with incredible chemistry between the leads and a cast of characters that you will immediately fall in love with.
He She It | A three-episode miniseries with a haunting soundtrack and a nice plot twist. This will make you miss JeffGameplay. :(
Tumblr media
Low Frequency | Not spooky at all, and a bit slow and empty at times, but it has ghosts (in a way) and a sweet enough couple.
Tumblr media
Make a Wish | Unfortunately, this has never had an inter release. There's inofficial subs floating around on grey sites but as of yet the series hasn't been fully translated. Which is a pity because it's a cute show about angels and spirit possession and (some) murder mystery.
Tumblr media
Midnight Museum | I'm stubbornly putting this under BL. This show has everything and everyone. It's genuinely spooky at times but mostly draws on folklore, the mystical and an absolutely stellar cast.
On Cloud Nine | Short and beautiful. An indie production that's more ethereal than genuinely spooky.
🎞️Red Wine in the Dark Night | The oldest entry in this list. Admittedly, not very spooky (and instead rather surreal and sad), but it has one (1) vampire and Fluke Natouch in a role that's more grounded than we're used to nowadays.
Tumblr media
Something in my Room | A spooky show with ghosts, mystery and romance that hides a lot of commentary behind metaphors and allegory. Criminally underrated because it didn't have a wide enough release. If you want to binge something fun and spooky for Halloween then this is the series to go. Prepare tissues.
✨Not a BL but hey, I know that actor!✨
Enigma | Win Metawin (and surprise guest!) in an incredibly well done 4-episode series about the occult with interesting worldbuilding and the promise of a second season.
🎞️Ghost Lab | Tor Thanapob and Ice Paris in a genuinely gruesome, shocking and scary horror movie. You've been warned.
Girl From Nowhere | One of the best things tv has to offer, and genuinely dark as well. Up Poompat, Pepo Nutchapan and James Teeradon feature in some of the loosely-connected episodes.
🎞️Hoon Payon | Phuwin Tangsakyuen, Up Poompat and Bank Nuttawat in a classic spiritual ghost story. More shocking than scary.
🎞️Inhuman Kiss | Oab Oabnithi and Great Sapol (sadly, not as a couple) in a sad and romantic take on a classic Thai legend.
Let's Fight Ghost | A Thai remake of a fun and somewhat spooky kdrama with spiritual themes. And Saint Suppapong.
🎞️Pee Nak 1, 2, 3 (and soon 4) | I'm biased because I really like this movie series. It's spooky but in a fun way. It has queer characters (as comedic relief - but not in a degrading way) and can get surprisingly deep. Watch this if you want to see (baby!) Tar Atiwat grow up on screen (because he's in all four movies). The third movie rewards you with some surprisingly sweet MeanPlan that might continue into the fourth movie.
School Tales | A Thai horror anthology centred around students at various schools. This series has Fiat Patchata, Kay Lertsittichai, Pepo Nutchapan, Mark Siwat and, most prominently, Saint Suppapong and Chimon Wachirawit in well-paced 50-minute episodes.
The Stranded | One of my favourite series ever. If you watched LOST then you know what to expect. This has 3 QL couples (Perth Tanapon & Mark Siwat, Win Pawin & Tanthai Tatchapol, Ticha Wongtipkanon & Chaleeda Gilbert) but don't expect any of them to get a happy ending. Sadly, this series ended on a cliffhanger and won't get a second season due to the lead actor's tragic passing and Nadao's dissolution.
✨Upcoming Spooky BL✨
7 Days Before Valentine | Death Note but make it even more of a BL. Patrick Rangsimant originally wrote this so I'm really excited. Plus, it will begin airing in November which is almost as good as October.
Tumblr media
🎞️After Sundown | A period ghost movie that hit Thai cinemas this summer to great success. There's currently no news on an international release.
🎞️Death Is All Around | Saint Suppapong coming through with another spooky production - this one about death and the afterlife. This also has Seng Wichai, Bas Suradej and Dun Romchumpa (presumably as a couple).
The Hell Guards | Chains of Heart but make it spooky. Oh, I am so excited for this!
My Imaginary Boyfriend | Based on another one of Pat Rangsimant's novels (my favourite, atually). This one is more grounded, and spooky in a more psychological sense.
Mystique in the Mirror | Another one of Pat Rangsimant's novels (and psychological horror too, by the looks of it). This one started filming back in early summer so it should be airing soon.
Tumblr media
Shadow | This series will air its first seven episodes on Halloween and that should tell you everything you need to know. It's a suspenseful (ghost?) story set in a Catholic private school.
Tumblr media
Spirit Reborn | This has the potential to be very spooky, with curses and spirits and past lives.
Tumblr media
SunsetxVibes | This is going to be messy and spicy but the short pilot trailer did have spooky undertones and possible spiritual themes.
The Whisperer | More psychological horror but this time not penned by Pat. Apparently, this has been in production for a while so hopefully we'll get some news soon.
Tumblr media
Zomvivor | The only zombie series on this list has entered pre-production and is slated to be released in 2024 (hopefully before October). Will it have BL? I don't know, but it stars pretty much all of domundi's acting couples (and more).
1000 Years Old | Will it be spooky? No idea, but it does have vampires and sometimes that's enough.

request: could I request an imagine with either embry or paul with an imprint who clings to them when they’re scared or during movies?
warnings: none really
notes: shorter than usual, ends kinda abruptly, but fluffy nonetheless
word count: 1.2k
you absolutely despised horror movies. and, unfortunately for you, the entire pack (including your boyfriend) absolutely loved them. almost every friday they had a movie night at emily’s house where they’d watch the best horror movies they could find and you usually managed to get out of it but embry had talked you into it, promising he’d be right by you the whole time.
so you (very reluctantly) agreed and found yourself seated at one of the barstools at emily’s kitchen island, talking with her and kim while you waited for the boys to get back from their pre-movie snack trip to target.
kim was attempting to hype herself up for the movie, bouncing around the kitchen as she tried to get into “the zone” so she could watch the movie without freaking out like she apparently did last weekend. you and emily were laughing at her antics as you continued (attempting) to make plans for your girls day out tomorrow.
“so you’re thinking we leave for port angeles around 10 tomorrow?” emily asked you and you hummed in agreement, nodding.
“yea then we can get there early enough to go to all the shops,” you started, kim quickly butting in and cutting you off, eliciting laughs from you and emily.
“we gotta leave by 9:45 then so we can stop at starbies on the way there!” she exclaimed as the boys came in through the front door, almost making as much noise as kim.
you nodded in agreement, spinning around on the barstool to face your boyfriend, smiling as he cupped your face in his hands and pressed a gentle kiss to your lips, “everything okay?” he asked, thumb rubbing gentle circles against your cheekbones as he waited for your response.
“mhm,” you hummed, “just figuring out what time we’re leaving tomorrow.” you explained, running your hands up the soft fabric of his t-shirt.
embry nodded, “you sure you don’t want one of us with you guys tomorrow?” he asked softly and you knew he was only asking because he hated the idea of leaving you alone for any extended period of time, especially with another rogue vampire out and about in the area.
“positive.” you cooed, tightening your fingers on the fabric of his t-shirt to pull him down for another kiss.
embry sighed softly against your lips, pulling away after a moment as the rest of the boys started spilling all the different candies and popcorn out onto the kitchen island. you pecked embry’s lips one more time before spinning around on the barstool to face the island, embry’s hands coming to rest on your shoulders so he could gently rub them.
you leaned back against him, laughing as paul and jared got into a bickering match over who was more deserving of the M&Ms (jared was quickly losing). everyone quickly agreed the best idea would be to just empty all the candy into a big bowl to pass around so you helped with that before heading into the living room with embry.
he sat down on the couch, taking your hands and tugging you into his lap, both of you laughing as he pulled a blanket over the both of you and allowed you to curl into his chest, gently stroking his fingers through your hair as everyone else got settled around you.
“you know you can let me know if it’s too scary and we can go upstairs or something, okay?” embry reminded, his hand sliding up and down your arm soothingly.
you nodded, peeking up at him and pressing a kiss to his cheek, “i know.”
he smiled softly at you, pressing a kiss to your forehead before allowing you to cuddle into his lap as sam started the movie. everyone quickly quieted down and embry rubbed gentle circles on your hip to soothe your anxiety as the movie started.
the first 20 minutes or so were great, no jump scares or anything gory. it wasn’t until the protagonist went into the basement that you knew it was about to get scary. your breathing hitched as the lights in the character’s basement went out, embry’s grip tightening on you as he recognized your anxiety.
out of nowhere, some awful-looking spider-human type thing jumped out causing you to scream, burying your face into the crook of embry’s neck and wrapped your arms around his neck. paul and jared burst into laughter at your reaction but quickly had to deal with rachel and kim who also appeared to be just as freaked out as you by the whole thing.
“shhhhh…” embry cooed, laughing softly as he held you close to him, rubbing his hand up and down your back gently, “you’re okay.” he cooed again and you shook your head, whining as you shifted so you could wrap your legs around his waist and effectively turn yourself away from the tv.
“is it over yet?” you mumbled into the fabric of his t-shirt, and he let out a soft chuckle, pressing a kiss to your temple.
“just about.” he reassured, rubbing his hand up and down your back soothingly as you waited for the scene to end. soon enough, the scene ended and you slowly unwrapped yourself from your boyfriend, hesitantly looking over at the screen to see what was happening.
the characters were trying to figure out what went down the night before and you allowed yourself to exhale, knowing there wouldn’t be another jump scare for at least another few minutes.
embry continued soothingly rubbing his hand up and down your side as you waited for the next jump scare. soon enough, it was clear another was coming so you shifted to hide yourself in the crook of embry’s arm so you wouldn’t have to watch.
it wasn’t until you heard an absurdly loud scream from jared and paul, followed by the sound of about 10,000 pieces of candy hitting the floor that you realized just what a good idea you had not watching whatever just popped up on the tv.
“for fuck’s sake!” paul yelled, everyone laughing at jared as you looked up to see jared struggling to catch his breath and kim and emily staring at the pile of candy now spilled all over the floor.
“what the fuck even was that?” jared laughed, letting out a loud sigh as he leaned back into the couch, looking up at the ceiling as he sucked in gulps of air.
embry chuckled, turning his attention to you, “you’re lucky you didn’t see that,” he teased, “that felt like something out of a fever dream or something.”
you giggled, looking over at sam who was rolling his eyes and pressing pause on the movie, “alright you idiots, clean it up.”
jared and paul’s jaws dropped at the thought, kim laughing as she got up and headed into the kitchen with emily, “we’re grabbing a broom. better get started boys!” emily called over her shoulder.
you looked up at embry again, both of you letting out laughs at how stupid the whole situation was, “well, at least you don’t have to watch the whole thing now.” embry noted, letting out another laugh as you nodded, clearly over the moon that this whole stupid thing was finally over.
“thank god,” you groaned, letting out another exhale as you leaned into his chest, both of you laughing as you watched the rest of the pack help jared and paul clean up their mess.

Steve can handle real life horror because the adrenaline and need to protect everyone else kicks in and he’s so busy focusing on the task at hand that he doesn’t actually process what’s happening until after the situation is over and he has a chance to catch his breath
But horror movies? Those get him. Don’t get me wrong, he still brings his dates to them and pretends not to be affected by the movies and he braces himself when he can feel a jumpscare coming so that he won’t noticeably react because the whole point is to look all strong and tough and get girls moving closer to him for comfort
That strategy did not work on Nancy so well though because he always got more startled than she did. But it wasn’t a total loss because she’d play along when he tried to put on the comforting moves even though she wasn’t particularly frightened and even though honestly, he was calming himself with that more than anything. But at least it was easier to keep up his unafraid act when he had an arm around her to help steady him. He still doesn’t know if she actually believed the act or not though. (She didn’t believe it. Even if he managed not to jump, she still felt the way he’d get all tense when he could tell that something was coming)
When Steve watches horror movies with the kids, he lets himself relax a little and doesn’t hide his reactions quite as much but he still puts on an I wasn’t really scared tough guy act after he’s already blatantly jumped or flinched in reaction. That started with just letting himself react around Henderson after he’d already caught on to the fact that Steve was trying to play tough guy, but it spreads to the other kids too until eventually he gets to the point where Max makes fun of him for getting scared by something everyone saw coming a mile away and he just rolls his eyes instead of getting into a whole argument with her
When he watches horror movies with Robin, they both get scared. There’s a lot of squealing and no, don’t go in there, oh my god what is she doing??? and not the eyes!!! Steve if something goes through that eye I’m leaving and various other things yelled at the screen when they’re watching at home or at Family Video (or hissed under their breaths only for them to get hushed by people around them when they’re in the theatre). Robin’s jumpy and Steve tries to hide the fact that he is too during the start of the first horror movie they watch together, but she starts covering her eyes and then peeking through her fingers and then hiding her face in his shoulder when she sees something she didn’t want to see anyway so he doesn’t find the idea of her finding out that he’s scared so embarrassing anymore. He makes fun of her for being so squeamish for good measure anyway, only to end up grabbing her hand and whiteknuckling his way through a scene a few minutes later and after that point, he doesn’t try hiding anything and leans into the platonic holding onto the other for dear life when things get to be too much for either of them and then mutually pretending nothing happened immediately after
Eddie loves horror movies and rents a lot of them so when he drags Steve along with him when the latest gruesome movie hits theatres, Steve is fully expecting Eddie to be tough so he’s bracing himself to act extra tough because he doesn’t need Eddie laughing at him for reacting. Eddie obnoxiously laughs at the characters when they make stupid decisions and that has Steve thinking he’s going to be terrified while Eddie laughs all movie like they’re watching a comedy. But then while Steve’s putting on his best brave boy act at the scary parts, Eddie is yelping and cursing under his breath and bracing himself against the back of his seat while mumbling nope nope nope nope nope and jumping comedically high at the jumpscares and spilling popcorn all over them both and grabbing onto Steve’s shoulder as hard as he can and then later gripping Steve’s thigh so hard that Steve wonders if he’s going to have bruises in the shape of Eddie’s fingers later and it’s so over the top but it’s his genuine reaction and Steve is so confused about why Eddie keeps intentionally watching horror movies when he’s reacting and clinging to Steve more than any date he ever watched one with had

Jealousy Thirst w/ Jesse
Tumblr media
Implications of Fem reader, fem body description and use of princess, but no uses of (she or her) for reader
Just thinking about how you hate how close Spann is to Jesse, she's always joking with him and always has her hands or hand on him in some way, like touching his arms or tapping his chest when he says something funny, or when she rubs his shoulder or shoulders after a long day or just as she is walking by... And you're getting more and more pissed off by it...
So here you are, meant to be watching a movie and 'getting scared' jumping into Jesse's arms, snuggling him till he gets you in his lap, and one thing after another you ride him till you both are too tired to move... But no.
Spann apparently had something very important to tell him that it couldn't wait till morning at work and so He and Spann have been texting back and forth for the majority of the movie, you tried pulling the "I'm scared so pay attention to me!" Card and he wrapped his arm around you and squeezed you to him for a moment to comfort you but was still texting.
Thinking that maybe it really was important and you should just relax and except that it just wasn't going to happen tonight... Again.
But then you heard it... That breathy sound of Jesse's laughter... He never laughs when things get serious, especially when it comes to his work... He and Spann were just talking... While you were trying to get dicked down on the couch!
Even in your own home she still managed to squeeze her way in!
Well, not tonight God Damn it!!
You have been so pent up from Jesse coming back from one of his trips and his Piggy gave him a hard time and he was just so tired, to him staying so late you passed out on the couch waiting for him to come home, to him TALKING WITH SPANN ON THE PHONE!!
You just snapped, Snatching the phone from his and tossing it to the coffee table in front of the plush couch you and Jesse were on. Crossing your arms with a pout and continuing to watch some girl get chopped to pieces in the middle of sex... Even horror victims were getting more action than you were this past week.
It was silent for a moment or two...
'Baby?' Jesse tried getting your attention, but you just brushed him off pouting even more, 'babycakes-' you cut him off "don't babycakes me mister." You said slightly angling your body away from him.
'Baby is there a problem?' Your eye twitched, "PROBLEM? NO, NO PROBLEM! I WON'T HAVE A PROBLEM! YOU SHOULD ASK YOUR LITTLE GIRLFRIEND IF THERE IS A PROBLEM!" you say obnoxiously loud and dripping with sarcasm, before looking away with a pout again.
He knew what this was about now. His poor baby felt neglected, well he would just have to fix that now, wouldn't he?
Jesse picks you up before placing you on your back across the coffee table, him lingering over you. but you keep your pout, not giving in yet.
'C'mon, spill princess. Tell daddy why you're so upset.' You huffed before going into a rant, he was taking note here and there on what pissed you off being sure to not make the same mistake and leave you needy for so long as he slowly pushed up your shot silky night dress, gently pushing your lacy panties to the side as you go on and on.
"And then! Tonight I was gonna- OH!" You cut yourself off with a pitched surprise moan, you look down meeting Jesse's eyes as he runs his tongue over your folds before sucking lightly on your clit; your hips buck softly into his face as he slurps the juices that quickly flow from your neglected pussy.
Your head tilts back and you let out a moan, moving your legs over his shoulders and resting a hand on his head as you whimper his name.
Fuck his cock hurt so bad, it twitched and was practically drooling, he just wanted to push your legs to your ears and drill into you. But he neglected you, he wants this to be all about you.
His hips bucked into the air as you fully wrapped your legs around his head, you were driving him crazy... You were gonna be the end of him for sure.
His hips bucked into the air as you fully wrapped your legs around his head, you were driving him crazy... You were gonna be the end of him for sure.
"Please, please I want you, please" you whimper as you move your legs, his face glistening with your juices. He wanted this to be all about you but... If you want his cock-
Just then, his phone buzzed... You scoffed and rolled your eyes, you had just loosened up too. Jesse let out an annoyed huff snatching his phone, it was Spann. He didn't give her the time, he sent her one text...
Not now Spann, I'm trying to Fuck my darling right now. Whatever it is save it for the morning.
He then tossed his phone over his shoulder not caring when the harsh sound of glass hit the floor... Now... Where was he?
Oh yes!
If it's his cock you want, his cock is what he'll give to you baby.

Magical Girl Yuu's First Day pt 5.2
***Back to Yuu at Ramshackle ***
She was gathering the least grubby pillows, cushions, and drapes when the rain started. This place was already depressing, between the chilling drafts and foreboding shadows Yuu’s nerves were already on high alert.
The pitter-patter of rain quickly became a harsh pounding against the walls, and served as the last prop needed to turn this dismal building into the set of a horror movie.
Seriously, Yuu was half expecting a fiend to jump out from around the next corner. Or behind her. Or perhaps from above…
**BANG**
Right on cue the noise reverbs through the building, quickly followed by frantic scratching.
Yuu’s scepter is out and ready faster than you could say “jump scare”.
Ain't no way she’s going down like some extra in the first ten minutes of the movie!
The building rattles and moans, starting quiet but slowly picking up volume.
Yuu approached the hallway exit, weapon drawn and body away from the door. Nudging it open she slowly pans her view (gotta slice the pie!) and fires a low energy bolt inside.
“Nyeh-!”
Gottem!
Wait. She recognizes that voice.
“Gah! It’s you again!”
Fire catcoon!
“What are you doing here!”
[spiderman pointing at spiderman]
In order to escape the storm Grim had broken into the nearby building.
Soggy and tired, he didn't have the energy to do more than some token threats.
For her part, Yuu was feeling pretty worn out.
This may not have been the worst day of her life, but the kidnapping/enrollment to mystery boarding school was still pretty stressful.
Neither party was eager for another fight, but that wasn't up to them.
While the two were posturing the rattling had only gotten closer.
“Oho? Some new residents?”
“A ghost?!”
The disturbance is a lot closer now
“I’d love it if we could play…”
Two more ghosts phase through the wall, escaping whatever was making the racket on the other side.
“...But, ah, now isn't really a good time.”
The wall breaks as a being of dread and bloodlust enters the room.
Grim freaks out.
Yuu freaks out.
“Oh shit that's an upyr!”
“A what!?”
“It's a type of fiend made from dead people,”
It takes a swipe but the group is already running
“They're weak to light and fire based attacks!”
This one looked different from the pictures. Kinda raggedy, like it's malnourished.
“Hey kid, you seem familiar with this thing. Think ya can lend a hand?”
“Sure can, this is what I’m trained for!” Theoretically that is.
Actually, this was Yuu’s first time seeing a upyr in person.
But the one before them is looking pretty mangy and worn out. Like a humanoid representation of the building they're in right now. So she would probably be fine.
Guess I should do my thing.
[Hope’s Guiding Light, Ardent Dream, Awaken!]
My uniform shimmers into place around me
“What the fuck?”
Guess he’s never seen a magica before.
The catcoon was so caught off guard that the upyr nearly got him.
Thankfully one of the spooks blasted them out of the way.
“Mya! Don’t hit me!”
“Better a kick to the butt than to kick the bucket!”
I got you fam
[Dreamer’s Blessing]
A spray of butterflies engulf Grim and the ghosts.
The group exclaims about feeling stronger.
I love support spells, the best way to heal someone is to make sure they wont need healing.
“Ghosts! Harass the fiend and keep it distracted! Grim blast your fire! If we stall it long enough I can charge up my [Hope’s Smite]”
“How are you doing that with your voice?”
“Doing what?”
No questions, just fight.
Thanks to our incredible teamwork, but mostly the upyr’s already terrible state, we actually managed to destroy it, along with the building.
“We did it! Myeh? What’re you doing?!”
Yuu had begun to stomp on the upyr’s remains, before kicking the leftover ashes into the wind.
“Just in case” she says before sitting with a tired huff.
Grim gets to watch as the pink costume disappears with a sparkly light.
On one paw, Grim really wants to demand answers.
On the other paw…. It's been a really long day.
Crowley shows up to find Yuu and Grim huddled under some rubble.
“What have you done!?!?”
Great timing birdman.
Yuu and Grim trip over themselves to explain how this instance of property damage wasn't their fault.
Crowley remembers that ah yes there were ghosts here but that they wouldn't have done this much destruction.
The duo insists that they were fighting for their lives.
Then the ghosts come out and corroborate that there was a monster attack.
Ghost B explained that something had broken in a couple days ago and they were searching for the intruder to ‘play’ with them.
At first it just hid, but with each sunset the trespasser grew bolder, until it started outright attacking them at night.
The Ramshackle ghosts were worried that it was only a matter of time before the intruder started attacking, and possibly killing students.
And Crowely would know all this if he paid more attention to his school.
“Yes, well-!”
Ramshackle has been vacant for so long! How can he be expected to pay attention to such an obsolete part of the campus?
Please ignore the fact that he had tried putting Yuu here…
What is more important is the fact that this fiend, as Yuu named it, had reached the school in the first place.
The headmaster revealed that for the past decade similar creatures had been appearing in Twisted Wonderland, but the authorities have been working to keep this out of public view.
Even S.T.Y.X had gotten involved due to the blot-adjacent nature of these beings.
Well, Yuu doesn't know what blot is, but her home has been dealing with friends for centuries.
Crowely tries berating Yuu, saying this was supposed to be her residence.
She’s like dude chill I can just set up some sheets.
It'll be just like camping.
Birdman backtracks and says she'll just have to spend the night in the infirmary.
He tries to shoo Grim away, but Yuu is still feeling solidarity from the attack and insists the catcoon stays with her.
For his part, now that he knows there might be more fiends out there, Grim isn't super psyched to go back into the forest.
Crowely gives in, with the caveat that Yuu is responsible for Grim’s behavior from now on.
“Yeah sure whatever.”
Ends with Yuu and Grim saying goodnight in the infirmary.

four.
warning; 🦋 1k words.
masterlist.
“hey you’re here!” your tall co-worker wraps both his arms around you, bringing you in for a tight hug, “you’re so cold! come, i’ll turn up the heater in my room.”
you follow the boy through his surprisingly empty home, which is usually filled with his sister’s loud chatter and giggles.
“my family went out to visit family so we pretty much have the whole house to ourselves tonight,” he says to you after noticing your curious gazes, “my sisters keep asking about you. they seem to like you more than they like me.”
“well what can i say? i’m just very liked.”
he stops in his tracks and turns to you for a moment, eyes and lips lifting up into a small smile. you wait for him to say something... but nothing.
“wh- what? why are you staring at me?”
“nothing.”
you continue following the tall boy into his room, curiosity filling your mind over that little weird moment you had with him. why he suddenly stopped to look at you... while smiling like that. kai was always one to jokingly flirt with you but that... that was definitely something different.
“i bought your favourite chocolates earlier,” he dangles the familiar chocolate bar in your face with a rather mischievous look on his own before lifting it way above your head.
“hey that’s not fair! you’re too tall!”
“not my fault you’re only up to my torso,” he lifts the bar even higher above his own head, forcing you to naturally go onto your tip toes but what was the point when the boy was double your height? “try jumping. you might just reach my shoulders little one.”
“HUENING! KAI! YOU. ARE. SO. MEAN!”
you were both too busy laughing and play fighting to realise the arrival of someone else at the bedroom door, his eyes focused entirely on the scene before him.
“jung... jungwon?”
“manager yang you’re finally here!” kai goes over to shoulder bump jungwon, the two immediately laughing about something, “alright i’ll get the movie set up.”
“i- i’ll go make some popcorn then,” you say a little too awkwardly and quickly walk past the two boys to get to the kitchen. the last thing you had expected to happen tonight was for jungwon to show up... completely alone.
“anything i can help with?”
you turn around almost immediately at jungwon’s sudden voice to see him standing right behind you, his eyes curiously gawking down at you. you can’t help but swoon at just how good he looked outside of his daily uniform. a simple sweater and denim combo was enough to sweep you off your feet completely.
“n- no i’m okay. you can go back inside if you want.”
“am i...” he mumbles off, eyes diverting to the space beside you, “am i disturbing you guys?”
“no of course not. we were just going to watch a movie,” you also mumble off, your tone a tiny bit harsher than usual, “where’s your friend? i thought you were bringing her?”
“i never planned to do that. we aren’t that close actually.”
“oh...”
silence overtakes the kitchen as you and jungwon stay staring at each other, no one knowing what to say next.
“are you guys done yet?” kai yells from his bedroom, bringing the two of you out of whatever that was. “the movie is starting!”
quickly taking the popcorn out of microwave, you make your way past jungwon once again and head back towards kai’s now darkened room.
“alright we’re watching horror tonight!”
“really? i thought we were watching that new comedy movie?” you pout and get yourself comfy on the pile of blankets and pillows on kai’s floor, not entirely excited about the new plan, “what happened to a light hearted night?”
“are you scared little one?” the boy chuckles and also gets himself comfortable beside you, “you can always hold onto me if you’re scared. i can be your knight in shining armour.”
you playfully roll your eyes just as jungwon enters the room with a drink in his hand, his eyes immediately going to you and kai on the floor. to your surprise, the boy decides to take a seat on your other side, now making you huddled up in between the two boys.
not even twenty minutes into the movie and you feel yourself getting nervous already, palms unknowingly shaking at the intense scene playing on the big screen. you were never a fan of the genre and this proved it.
you almost scream when a hand suddenly grabs onto yours, lightly squeezing it in a rather comforting way. glancing down, you’re surprised to see that it’s jungwon holding your hand, his attention however is still glued onto the screen ahead. apart of you is confused about his action but the other half of you wants to squeal because YANG JUNGWON was holding your hand.
your long time crush, your dream boy was holding YOUR hand!
“oh my god don’t faint. don’t faint. don’t faint,” you silently chant the same words over and over in your head, hoping that jungwon wouldn’t notice just how much you were panicking because of him. the horrific movie was long forgotten, your entire focus now entirely on his hand on yours... clutched over yours!
“hey i need to pee. don’t play the movie without me!”
“we won’t,” you chuckle nervously as you watch kai exit the bedroom, leaving just you and jungwon behind in the very dimly lit room... still holding hands. you’re unsure of what to say or whether to retract your hand away at this point.
“you know we don’t need to finish this movie if you don’t want to. i’m sure kai is okay with watching a different one.”
“i’m- i’m okay with it... just a little scared.”
“well i’m right here so you don’t need to be,” the boy flashes his million dollar smile at you, causing your poor, weak heart to almost burst out of your chest. how someone could be so utterly charming, you’re not sure, but yang jungwon was literally the walking definition of it.
“alright lets watch!”
the movie continues on without interruption once kai settles back in, except for your hand that would come up to cover your eyes every two minutes. your other hand however, is constantly squeezing the poor manager’s hands without even knowing, probably scaring him, if not hurting him.
you let out a gasp when kai suddenly drapes his arm over your shoulder, bringing you closer towards him and into his embrace. you’re not sure what to do, your eyes now the size of saucepans which only has the tall boy chuckling in return.
“i told you to hug me if you were scared.”
“kai-”
“no need to thank me, i’ll keep you safe,” kai whispers down to you, his face barely an inch away from yours.
you have no idea how to react to the situation but what you do know is that jungwon’s hand was no longer holding yours.
end.

Monsters under the bed
Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Katsuya mumbled through tears not knowing what to do. "Mom, I didn't mean to..."
"It's okay, honey." His mother tried to reassure him but the distance between them might as well have been a chasm.
It wasn't the first time his mother had spoken to him as if he were a cornered cat that could jump into her eyes at any moment. Katsuya had never fooled himself into believing that his powers weren't dangerous, but this was the first time his mother's face had been sheer terror.
It had only been a stupid accident but it could have killed her.
Katsuya just wanted to know what all the hype was about among the rest of his classmates but no matter how much he thought about it, he couldn't figure it out. Everyone seemed so excited. There hadn't been anything else to talk about all week but all Katsuya had managed to do was feel disgust and cringe. The movie was boring and those moans had to be fake, it was impossible for someone to scream like that.
Katsuya was so distracted trying to make sense of it that he hadn't even heard the sound of the door. Before he knew it, his mother was there, staring at the naked woman on the screen with nails that almost looked like something out of a horror movie.
The next thing Katsuya remembered was his mother's body hitting the wall as if she were nothing more than a rag doll.
His mother's fingers were still stained with blood where she had touched the cut on her head. Katsuya's hands were shaking. Shattered glass from the display case was everywhere. The wineglasses and plates his mother had on display there had fared no better.
"Katsuya, go to your room." His mother didn't even look him in the face, the tension in her shoulders was even painful. "Let me pick all this up."
Katsuya barely heard her words. It had only been an accident but it didn't matter. He could have killed her.
What if next time the damage was beyond repair?
Before he knew it, his feet had dragged him out into the street. The rain was pouring down relentlessly but the barrier around him wouldn't let it touch him. He needed to get away from there any way he could. His classmates were right. Kazuya was a monster who only hurt everyone around him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the rain, Katsuya was barely able to hear his own breathing. With the streets completely empty, he allowed himself to imagine that he was the last survivor in a catastrophe of apocalyptic proportions.
Everything would have been simpler. No one to hurt when no one else existed.
Tired of wandering aimlessly, he sat down on one of the swings in the park near the high school. His legs were too long to be comfortable but the feel of the cold metal against his palms was pleasant. The scenery was depressing with the muddy ground and black clouds covering the sky. Katsuya let the barrier fade around him, his gaze wandering off into nothingness as raindrops drenched his sweatshirt and jeans until the water soaked down to his boxers. For a moment, it was as if the world forgave him his sins. If he closed his eyes, maybe the universe would take pity on him and let him disappear.
When he opened his eyes, the world was navy blue. The raindrops resounded loudly against the fabric of the umbrella, protecting him from the storm. The boy was watching him, standing next to the swing. His straw-blond hair fell messily over his forehead and his huge black eyes gave the impression that they could see all his secrets.
"Are you having fun getting wet?" the kid asked in his raucous voice. "You're not a sapling, you're not going to grow any bigger by continuing to water yourself."
"You scared me." Katsuya rubbed his eyes trying to calm himself.
His heart seemed to want to burst out of his mouth. The empty swing began to sway wildly. He didn't need to look much further to know that the squeaking of the springs in the swingset were also his fault as the energy vibrated around him.
"Awesome, you're psychic, how cool!"
The expression on his mother's face was a grim contrast against the expectant smile on that kid's face.
"If I could I'd give them to you" Katsuya mused with his gaze glued to the ground. "They just cause trouble."
"You sound just like Kageyama-san. You could start a club."
"Do you know another psychic?" Katsuya raised his face again. He had never heard of anyone with powers like his before.
The swings were still swinging, but there was no violence behind the sinuous motion anymore. For the first time, Katsuya really watched him. The kid had to still be in middle school. Until last year, Katsuya had worn that same gakuran.
"Kageyama-san! Sometimes I help him with the 'Spirits and such' website. If it weren't for me, I really wonder sometimes what he'd do." The kid looked proud. "I know, I could introduce him to you!"
"Ah... I don't think that's a good idea."
"Why not?" the kid approached him until he completely invaded his personal space. "Kageyama-san is the best psychic of the 21st century. It's quite an opportunity!"
"You admire him a lot, don't you?" Katsuya couldn't help but feel jealous of a complete stranger. Kageyama-san must have been almost a hero in the kid's eyes. "What's your name?"
"Reigen! Arataka Reigen!" The kid's cell phone started ringing leaving them almost deaf. "Shit! My mom's going to kill me! See ya!"
The kid said goodbye before disappearing into the darkness. Katsuya stared for a long time at the space he had left empty. The thought of going home was still too much. Tears began to fall down his cheeks without him realizing it.
"So Arataka Reigen" Katsuya repeated the name amidst the silence.
The kid would never know what that conversation under one of the first autumn storms had meant to Katsuya but for the first time in a long time Katsuya had felt that maybe he didn't have to be just a monster.

Writing the Frankie Fall day headcanons has made me feral for Benny Miller Fall day headcanons and I CANNOT think of a better mind to bring that to life. If you’re so inclined…
So inclined is an understatement, bestie.
(For the sake of traditional fall weather, this takes place a bit further north than balmy ol’ Florida)
Autumn with Benny
Benjamin "Benny" Miller x reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Content: fluff, SO MUCH FLUFF
Benny Miller’s personal favorite holiday by far may be Christmas, but each year and every year—without fail—he’s filled with complete, unabashed enthusiasm when late September rolls around. Why, you ask? Because you, on the other hand, are a purveyor of all things autumn and Halloween. (And if it makes you happy, it makes him happy.) After the first year that the two of you started dating, when Benny realized just how seriously you partake in each and every one of your annual fall traditions (and after he watched how all of it made your face light up time and time again), he decided that maybe this might actually be the most wonderful time of the year.
At some point, Benny made a habit of waking up in the early hours of the morning on the first day of fall. While you’re still cocooned in the pile of blankets on your bed, he’ll slip out of bed and quietly get to work in the kitchen. By the time you wake up, the entire house smells like the apple cider that he’s been brewing for hours in the crockpot, and a steaming mug is always waiting for you on your nightstand.
Once you make your way into the living room, Benny knows that’s his cue to make his way into the attic to start bringing down your plentiful boxes of Halloween decorations. He’ll shrug off the flannel overshirt he’s wearing, draping it over your shoulders, and you’ll snuggle down into its warmth as you breathe in the comforting scent of his body wash and cologne.
While Benny himself was never much of a holiday decorator before he met you, he’s come to embrace your love for it, and the first day of fall always includes a surprise Halloween decoration that he picked out for you the moment the stores started stocking their shelves with them. It’s always something ridiculous and silly that absolutely doesn’t match with the decorations you picked out yourself, which makes you love it even more.
Lazy October mornings will often find you and Benny hopping into his pickup truck for a drive down the long, winding mountain road just outside of town. You’ll scoot across the bench seat and lean your head on his shoulder, drinking hot coffee and eating cider donuts that you picked up on the way (from your favorite stand at the farmer’s market) as you take in the brilliant, fiery, vivid shades of red, orange, and yellow painted across the dense, expansive forest that borders your city.
Benny knows just how seriously you take finding the perfect carving specimen when you finally embark on your journey to the pumpkin patch. So while you’re busy traipsing around and inspecting each and every lump and bump, he always makes a mission out of finding the ugliest pumpkin known to mankind for himself.
The two of you somehow always manage to get lost in the corn maze that one of the local farmers puts together for residents (because it doesn’t help that as soon as you think you’ve got a hang of the direction you’re moving in, Benny tends to distract you with his wandering hands and very attentive lips). You eventually find your way out when Benny hoists you up onto his shoulders so you can cheat your way to the exit.
Benny generally prefers comedies and action films to horror movies, and he could never understand the obsession people seem to have with jam-packing an entire assortment of them into the month of October. But once he realized that your month-long marathon involved a nightly ritual of you curling up into his arms on the couch and burying your face in his chest at almost every jump scare, well…he’s no longer quite so opposed.
One year, you were wistfully staring out the window at the vast amount of leaves floating to the ground and settling in colorful piles across your background. You had mentioned to Benny that you missed jumping in them as a child. Now, Benny makes it his annual goal to dutifully rake all of the leaves from not only your property, but also every surrounding house as well, in order to turn your backyard into a mountain range of leaves to dive into.
Though he doesn’t quite care to eat them himself, Benny will never complain about thoroughly kissing the sweet, delicious taste of caramel and candy apples from your lips. Sometimes he’ll stop to pick one up on his way home from work for you just for that alone.
And now, one crisp fall evening just before Halloween finds you and Benny sitting cross-legged on the kitchen floor, both of you sawing away at the top of your pumpkins. Benny’s hands slow and his eyes dart up to glance at you as you pop off the stem and reach in to begin scooping out the guts so you can carve your jack-o’-lantern.
You’re momentarily thrown off when you find the inside of the pumpkin is already clean and empty, and you open your mouth to voice your confusion, but then your heart leaps in your chest when your eyes catch on something shiny sitting at the bottom of it. A ring.
(The pumpkins are all but forgotten as you climb into his lap and kiss him senseless.)

 "You wanna play a game?"
The third spooky movie of the night. You've got this! You've always enjoyed watching scary movies around Halloween, but tonight was special. With the way you were laying on his chest and could hear his heartbeat, to the way Mitsuya absentmindedly played with your hair, nothing could make this Halloween any better. What you didn't realize was that toying with hair is one of Mitsuya's nervous tics. You thought that the slight squeeze of your hand during gory scenes was to comfort you, but it was really a self-soothing action of his.
Mitsuya lightly jumps as a knock could be heard from his apartment's door as you give a quick snicker, pausing the movie and pulling him up after you to hand out candy to the older kids who were still lingering around. You definitely would have gone trick-or-treating with your favorite silver-lavender haired boy, but the two exhausted girls sleeping in their beds wouldn't allow that. Not that you minded, you'd do anything for your little princesses.
Mitsuya really was grateful for you, every day. Every time you'd hang back after school for him, bring snacks for him and his sisters, come babysit for him if he needed to go somewhere, everything. He once even came home after a Toman fight that ended up lasting much longer than expected to you tucking Mana and Luna in bed, and enough of a supper leftover for Mitsuya from feeding the girls earlier.
And that brings him to his current situation. He loves making you happy and doing what he can for you, making you small things during sewing club, bringing an extra lunch or snacks for you if he knows you didn't have time. But sometimes he might push himself a tad too far. Such as feeling a little sick at the thought of the little girls on the TV in the other horror film being his little sisters, or that character who just got kidnapped being you.
You go to sit back down, but Mitsuya excuses himself for a second to the kitchen sink to splash his face with some water to calm down. He comes to sit down beside you, and you notice his red face. You've known him since you two were kids, you could tell something was up. You lean him down on you and you start the movie. Right now the movie was calmer so no scary moments were coming up, so you take the opportunity to talk to him. You bring your fingers to gently trace around his hairline at the lower part of his neck.
"Mmm… 'Kashi?"
"Hm?"
You continue to twirl and graze your fingers over his hair,
"Is it too much for you? I know that scary movies aren't your thing. You don't have to keep watching just to make me happy you know,"
He takes a breath in and admits that he's afraid of something happening to his sisters after watching what happened to the little girls on TV. You pull him closer to you and turn off Saw, deciding on playing the Nightmare before Christmas. You pulled him closer and jokingly whisper to him;
"I'll protect you, and Mana, and Luna!"
Your tone shifts to be a little more serious and genuine,
"I want you to feel as safe with me, as I do with you." He smiles at that and holds your hand once again. His heart warms even more when you begin to rub his hand with your thumb, and not too long after, he's off to dreamland.
~~~~~~~
He wakes up with his head no longer resting on your chest but on a pillow, and to the sound of boots walking around lightly. He's always been a light sleeper, so he's surprised you managed to keep him asleep. It seems the movie was over now and you were about to leave.
Before you could step foot outside the door, your hand was being tugged by Mitsuya. He reasoned that it wasn't safe to walk home alone and that he'd come with you, after he wrote a quick note to leave on the table incase the girls woke up.
You'd come over earlier in the evening, not planning ahead for how cold it was going to get when the sun set. Mitsuya offered you his scarf, but you didn't want him to be cold either, so the two of you ended up sharing it. And I suppose that since you're so close to him, you may as well hold his warm hand too, right? A light swing of your arms back and forth had him grinning at your childishness.
It didn't take long for the two of you to get to your house, which made it easy for Mitsuya to walk over with his sisters or for you to drop in for a quick hello. You took off the scarf and was about to open your door, but Mitsuya didn't want to say goodbye just yet. All he did was grab your hands and stand there quietly, averting his eyes. He wanted to do so something more, but he couldn't bring himself to do it even after all this time of knowing you. It's really too bad, who would have thought that he'd ever be shy?
But you didn't let him walk away until you pulled him close and planted a quick kiss on the apple of his red-tinted cheek.
"I love you, hun. Please get home safe, since I won't be there to be your big scary bodyguard.~"
…Did he miss something?? Since when did you like him? Were you two already dating? He was aware of no such thing. How could you be so calm about this?!
Even so, it felt so right, and almost like second nature when he pulled you in for a real kiss goodbye.
~~~~~~~
When he got home he was surprised to see the lights on, not remembering leaving them like that.
"Girls?"
The two of them came rushing to him, glad that he was back. It seems Mana had a nightmare about 'The scary ghost doggy on TV.' They were going to keep talking about the ghost doggy, obviously trying to stay up late, but Luna cut them off.
"Taka?" She pointed a small finger to her cheek, "why do you have lipstick on your cheek?"
"…" It must have been the Halloween makeup you have on, he thought.
"Is Y/N our new big sibling now?!" Mana seemed so happy about it, and Mitsuya didn't have the heart to crush hers.
"Sure. You have a new big sibling." He pats her head. Mitsuya lets out a sigh of disbelief, still trying to connect everything that's just happened. You really like him too? The sisters are so happy about it, so it must be real. Who thought you would've been such a nice addition to the Mitsuya family.
The last thing he sees before dozing off once again, after sending Mana and Luna back to bed of course, was a singular text message.
"Goodnight and sleep well, love.<3"

Ooh spooky Soft Sunday Halloween!!
Kuroo LOVES Halloween… costumes and candy. The neighborhood kids love coming to your house for trick n treating. Y’all give out the best candy. Of course Kuroo claims he needs your kisses to stop him from turning into Dracula.
Mattsun/Osamu/Atsumu: they are into scary movies and yes they will prank you. Yes they use it as an excuse to get cuddles while y’all watch scary movies. Not that you could ever be too mad at beefy arms snuggling you to keep the monsters at bay.
Happy Halloween 🎃 😁

Soft Sunday: More Halloween!
With: Kuroo, Mattsun, Osamu, Atsumu
Tumblr media
Yes! I see Kuroo being super into Halloween too! He loves cheesy decorations like zombie hands sticking out of the ground or those headstones with name puns like “Noah S. Cape” and “Barry D’Alyve.” Your house is always a hit with trick-or-treaters because he’s so good with kids! He just makes Halloween so fun. 🥺 ah this is making me soft.
Mattsun is a menace during Halloween . He thinks it’s funny to see you jump and get spooked. He always manages to convince you to go to haunted houses with him and the enjoyment he gets from your fear would probably piss you off it weren’t for the way he also lets you cling to him. He will also set up jump scares for you at home too so be on your guard.
Osamu isn’t as obnoxious as Mattsun but he still likes suggesting scary movies just for the chance to have you snuggling closer and holding onto him. He likes that he is a source of comfort for you and that you feel safe with him. Halloween with him is also fun because you two get to be creative and make Halloween themed onigiri. He makes orange rice with sesame Jack-o-lantern faces and green rice with a veggie Frankenstein face. He also decorates his shop with spider webs and hanging bats. He loves it.
Atsumu is the type to have his plan backfire. He thinks he’s so clever putting on a horror movie to trick you into crawling into his arms but then ends up being more creeped out by the movie than you. If you ask him to go make popcorn or if he needs to go to the bathroom he’ll pout and ask “what if something gets me babe?” He does like dressing up for Halloween though. He especially likes having fake scars or wounds on his face and acting really dramatic about it.

ectoberhaunt day 13: horror flick @ectoberhaunt
nightlight
words: 1602
relationships: gray ghost
read it on ao3
valerie and danny celebrate friday the 13th
Even at four years old, there was little that Valerie Gray was afraid of. She’d climb the tallest trees, spin flips on the monkey bars, and never ever let the older kids mess with her or her friends.
That didn’t mean she didn’t need her nightlight.
Valerie wasn’t scared of the dark. That’d be silly. No, she was afraid of what hid in the dark. The monster under her bed, the ghosts in her closet. Alone in her bedroom at night Valerie felt completely vulnerable.
She’s woken her father up enough times with tales of what was lurking around her room that he finally invested in a nightlight. They plugged it in together, and turned off the lights. A warm glow emanated from the device, providing a sense of safety to Valerie. That night she slept soundly, and every night thereafter.
Now at sixteen, there was still very little that frightened Valerie Gray, having now stood up to actual ghosts and monsters, rather than those from her imagination as a child. She was brave and motivated. Nothing could stand in her way.
Today was Friday the 13th - an unofficial holiday in Amity Park. She’d proudly managed to snag her boyfriend away from his friends for the night to watch a horror movie together (and cuddle a bit. Maybe more - she was sixteen after all). Valerie had gathered a few candles, her coziest blankets, and a mix of her and Danny’s favorite snacks, and prayed to whatever force was out there that there wouldn’t be any loose ghosts about for just this one evening. One evening! That’s all she wanted! One evening with her dorky, wonderful boyfriend, without having to make some lame excuse to leave so she could detain the freaking Box Ghost again.
Her father emerged from his bedroom dressed for his night shift. He looked at his daughter’s set up, then gave her a look that said no funny business before kissing her head and walking out the door. Not much later did her doorbell ring, signaling the arrival of her beloved guest. With a smile on her face, Valerie opened the door to her favorite pair of blue eyes and troublesome grin.
“Hey you,” he greeted, enveloping her in his arms. Despite his lower-than-normal body temperature, Valerie curled up into his body, taking in the scent of his clothes, feeling the soft thud of his heart in his chest, letting her guard down in the place she felt safest. Too soon he released her, and they moved to the living room.
His eyes sparkled as he sifted through the selection of curated snacks, grabbing the bag of mini Oreo’s and a blanket and settling on the couch. He patted the empty spot next to him, and Valerie plopped beside him, snatching a corner of the blanket and pulling it over.
“Hey!” Danny protested, yanking the blanket back. “Get your own!”
Valerie giggled, swiping the blanket completely out of her boyfriend’s grasp, taunting him to fight for it. He scrunched his nose then threw himself on top of her, awkwardly laying all his weight onto her chest and lap.
“I’m your blanket now,” he said.
Valerie laughed. “Get off me, dork.”
She pushed him off her body so he was once again sitting upright, then cuddled up next to him, spreading the blanket so it covered them both, then kissed his cheek.
“Fine. We can share, I guess,” he joked, and reached for his bag of Oreo’s. “What are we watching?”
“I was thinking something classic,” Valerie answered, reaching for the remote. She scrolled through their options until she landed on The Conjuring.
“Sounds good to me,” Danny said through a mouthful of cookies.
She hit play, then snuggled in for the next two hours.
————
At first, Danny’s gasps and reaches for her hand were cute. Every build up she could feel his heart racing beneath his chest, and each jump scare prompted him to squeeze her hand. However, it stopped being as cute when he nearly broke her hand by how hard his grasp was.
“AH! Danny! Careful,” she objected, shaking out her sore hand.
He blinked, coming out of his focus on the film, then frowned. “Oh shit, I’m so sorry Val,” he apologized, puppy dog eyes in full effect.
“It’s okay, just…gentle, okay?”
He nodded, then placed his arm around her and pulled her in, placing a kiss on her forehead before returning his attention to the movie.
She must have dozed off at some point, because she found herself opening her eyes to a brightened room and the TV playing some comedy film. Her boyfriend sat next to her, tapping away on his phone.
Valerie yawned and sat up to stretch. “Jeez, did I really fall asleep? I’m sorry.”
Danny smiled warmly at her. “You’re fine.”
She checked the time - it was late. “Guess you should be getting home, huh?” Valerie felt terrible. Finally grabbing some alone time and she totally knocked out.
Danny bit his lip, and looked around the room. “Uh…can I stay for a little? Maybe for the night?”
Valerie furrowed her eyebrows. Danny didn’t normally try to take advantage of the nights her dad wasn’t home - one thing she loved about him was the respect he held for her boundaries.
Taking this into consideration, she had to wonder.
“Danny…are you scared after watching that?” she ventured.
He stiffened. “No! No- not at all!” he protested. “Maybe I just want to spend the night with my girlfriend, like any teenage boy, right?”
Oh yeah, he was totally freaked out. A smile crept onto her face. She found it hilarious that despite all they faced in Amity Park, her boyfriend could still get spooked by a horror film.
“What are you laughing at?” he pouted. “It’s completely normal for a guy my age to want to-”
Valerie playfully shoved him. “Danny, get over yourself. We both know what this is really about.” She pulled him into herself, so that her arms were around his chest and his head was laying on her shoulder. “I’ll keep you safe from Bathsheba.” Beneath her, he closed his eyes and groaned, a small blush creeping up his neck.
Releasing him, Valerie went to her room and grabbed a spare pillow. She returned to the living room and threw it at Danny’s face, giggling at the muffled “oof” that resulted from its landing.
“You can sleep on the couch, but you have to be gone before seven tomorrow when my dad gets back,” she warned. Valerie knew her father would flip out if he came home to Danny on the sofa; she didn’t want to risk any consequences that would result in restricting her being able to spend time with him. It was already hard enough, with the constant ghosts attacking and her job at the Nasty Burger.
She turned to leave, but Danny called out to her. “Can you…stay?” he asked cautiously. “Just until I fall asleep?” he hurriedly added.
Valerie rolled her eyes, but nonetheless made her way to the sofa. “Scooch,” she ordered, then slid between him and the backrest. She slipped her arms around him and tucked her head into the crook of his neck. If he was going to act so needy, he was getting little spooned.
Just as she got comfortable, Valerie realized something. The lights were still on. With a groan, she sat up, and started inching off the couch.
“Wait, where are you going?” came Danny’s voice, a touch of worry laced in his words.
Valerie placed a hand on his shoulder. “Just turning out the lights, silly.” She moved to stand up, but Danny had grabbed her hand.
“Can we just leave them on?” he asked, avoiding eye contact.
“Danny,” Valerie replied, exasperated. As much as she loved him, she was so going to make fun of him for this later, despite the fact that she found this display a little endearing. “How are you going to fall asleep with the lights still on?”
He looked at her pleadingly. “Vallllll,” he whined.
She squeezed the hand he was still holding, then let go. “I’ll be right back, ok?” Valerie slipped away to her bedroom, racking her brain for where she had last seen it. Was it in her junk drawer, or that box in her closet? Did she even still have it?
After a few moments of searching, Valerie found the object she’d needed stashed away in a drawer with other trinkets from her childhood. She hoped it still worked. She returned to the living room and found an outlet in the corner. Perfect. Valerie plugged it in and turned off the lights, prompting a “What are you doing?” from Danny.
It took a moment, but he realized the room was not completely dark as he expected. Rather, there was a soft and friendly glow coming from the corner that provided just enough visibility of the room without compromising the feeling of nighttime. As Valerie returned to her spot behind him, he turned his head to see her face. “A nightlight? Really? I’m not five.”
“Yet you’re scared to turn off the lights and you need me to stay here with you,” she countered. “Just go to sleep Danny. I promise nothing will hurt you.”
He grunted, but didn’t protest further, and instead curled up deeper into Valerie’s embrace. She held him like that until his shallow breaths turned slow and deep, but at that point, she couldn’t risk moving and waking him. As long as they were up by seven, maybe she could let it slide.

Doctor Who: Wild Blue Yonder (2023 Special 2)
Well, that was about as perfect an episode of this TV show I've ever seen, if I'm being super honest!
Cons:
Hmm. Difficult to say. There were maybe a few things where I would have wished for more, like just an extra dash of something we already got. Like, the clues that the words were a countdown, and the robot was moving to initiate something? I guess the evidence was right there, but I think the counting down bit would have been more satisfying if there had been some way that it was possible for me to suss that out on my own before the Doctor realized it. Like what if there were numbers on a door somewhere and the Doctor does say one of the numbers out loud at some point because he figured out the translation, and it's the number six or something, and then later when we hear it, you might be able to grasp that you've heard that word before? Just a few more breadcrumbs to make the moment when the truth comes out feel really satisfying.
Pros:
But that really is the nitpickiest of nitpicks, like I said, this was... an astonishingly good episode of Doctor Who. I'm sure if you go back and read some of my other reviews, you'll be able to tell that for a long time now, like, a really long time now, this show has been something of a habit I'm keeping up, rather than something that sparks a ton of joy. I've enjoyed plenty of individual episodes, I've felt some measure of connection to various characters, but... it's nostalgia, for me. It's something I'm doing because, I don't know, it's Doctor Who and I've been watching for so long!
But this? Now, I don't want to speak too soon, but this might just be an Episode of All Time for me. It really was so very, very good.
First you've got the great mix of tones. There were ridiculous silly humor bits, like the thing at the beginning with Isaac Newton, and "mavity" that kept recurring throughout. There was the body horror with the "nothings" that took on Donna and the Doctor's shapes, there was the standard horror-movie-esque potential for jump scares as our heroes are running around in the tunnels in the bowels of this ship. There's the relationship drama, the building stress between the Doctor and Donna, and their deep affection underneath that all. There's the extremely fun and also terrifying horror trope of not being able to tell an imposter from the real item, and I thought it was done SO well here. There was the mystery to solve, there were emotional character beats... and it was all there, balanced together so, so well.
I feel like the thing I most want to talk about is how well the Doctor and Donna know each other, but to list examples of that would be just to read off the whole script. I was astonished, heartbroken, moved beyond imagining, by the moment when one of the two Doctors says "you think you're stupid?" to Donna, and both Donnas say that of course they do, and the Doctor says "well, that's very Donna." There's so much there, so much history, unspoken and unknown and unknowable, it's not something they need to discuss. The fact that the Doctor and Donna have just the slightest edge on their imposters because they understand the inherent contradictions of human nature is such a cool idea, and paired with how well they really know each other, it makes for compelling TV!
And the scene I know everybody is going to be talking about, I have to talk about it too: the Doctor opening up about his guilt and grief over what he's learned about his origins and the universe, and then saying, in that shaky little voice, "Donna is that you?" The imposter says "yeah," and the Doctor takes a step forward: "all these years, I've missed you..." Later, when we see the Doctor having a breakdown and screaming and kicking at the wall of the tunnel, it's such a beautifully heartbreaking moment because you know what he's screaming about is that he actually did it, he actually managed to open up to someone, and then it wasn't even real. OUCH!
The scene at the end in the TARDIS carries this on too. It's so brave of the Doctor to broach the subject, and to admit, albeit obliquely, that he's been through some really horrible things and he is very much not okay. Donna doesn't have the knowledge in her head anymore to force him to confront things more directly, but the Doctor does still do the work of reaching out to a friend, however slightly.
The friendship between these two, the chemistry between them as performers, is really something special. I like how in these first two of the three specials, we have a couple of moments lamp-shading the fact that the Doctor is a different guy than he was the last time he and Donna had seen each other. He's more demonstrative, more open about expressing his feelings. He even cops to finding Isaac Newton hot, and then seems a bit surprised at himself for being so open about feeling attraction.
And the fact that we get the Doctor grasping Donna's hand, placing a kiss to it, or their big, demonstrative hugs, or the Doctor kissing Donna on top of her head in relief at having her back... it was so beautiful, and so simple, the way they could play in the comedy space but also so well in the utterly sincere.
I also want to compliment the set design of this episode. It was simple in some ways, it looks like plenty of other sci-fi-y, spaceship type sets I've seen before, but I loved the way we got to see into the bowels of the ship, explore all those little tunnels, and then also the way the walls moved around, the reconfiguration of the ship into a bomb as time passed. Such a cool concept!
And, suffice to say, the lead in to next week's episode was adorable as well, with the Doctor reuniting with Wilf. Another moment where the Doctor is more demonstrative and emotional than we remember him being in the past. Something is going terribly wrong, but we'll have to wait until the third and final David Tennant special to find out what! I heard that this was the last filmed performance for the actor playing Wilf, who has since died, and I just want to say that he did a wonderful job and gave me all the feelings of nostalgia thinking about his time on the show previously. I hope he's happy knowing how much joy he brought to so many Doctor Who fans.
I could really go on. This is the first episode of Doctor Who I have seen in literal years, probably over half a decade, that I actually see myself wanting to revisit again and again.
9.5/10

Ghostly shit no one asked for
hey so I’m on a paranormal kick at the moment, and despite having a whopping 3 followers I’m going to infodump abt it as if my life depends on it.
disclaimer: I am not a professional “ghost hunter” nor do I have my own show. I’m literally just fascinated by the paranormal and would like to express my ideas and methods to the matter.
Ghost adventures is absolute bogus.  From the very first episode I saw, even before I researched anything about the show, I could tell most of it was milked or overreactions. If you know of Zak Baggy-pants and his crew, you’re probably aware of how they seem to have panic attacks caused by ghostly encounters every episode; and despite the fact it seems very obvious, people think their reactions are real. You know, the reactions where Zak screams like he shits himself, the camera has an aneurism, someone yells “WHAT?! WHAT?!”, and three hundred horror sound effects are played over the raw audio at once like a Bollywood movie to jump scare you. en post, there’s also extreme camera zooms and “enhanced audios” of things that are probably gnats flying across the screen or someone in the production team sneezing into their sleeve. To absolutely no one’s surprise, the team has even admitted their reactions are “milked” to have the show appear scarier; and while nothing is  wrong with this for an entertainment purpose, to label it as ‘educational’ is irresponsible, and to watch it as a research source is also.  Ghosts do not care about you or your stupid ghost gear.  In all honesty, “ghosts”, spirits, the departed, whatever you want to call them, probably give absolutely 0 (zero) shits about some teenagers running around with cameras and a Ouija board.    From a “spiritual”  standpoint, ghosts/spirits are literally just Dudes ™ . Unless they were reclusive or aggressive when they were alive, it’s highly unlikely that they’d attempt to attack someone or whisper “get out” at them. From my experience, spirits are just the departed passing through; most of which mean no harm. There are more maleficent spirits, but unless you intend on meeting one, they rarely “come around”, and are usually attached to an item, place, person, etc. Often times, when I had attempted to reach out to spirits, they seemed confused as to why I even cared about who they were, essentially saying “You kids and your weird ghost stories. Go do something productive.” So for the Ghost Adventures crew to somehow manage to be “attacked” by spirits nearly every episode, they would have to be intentionally provoking said angry spirits, which is an absolute ‘no’ in any spiritual persons book; or they’re just faking it for the effect, which is the most likely option. It’s harmful to those who actually want the truth. For people like me who are just genuinely curious if there’s undead living among us, there’s plenty of content out there to fill that little void; though barely any of said content should be used for research purposes.  A great way of finding out if a ‘Paranormal Investigation’ show is ‘real’ or ‘fake’ is to check off certain criteria. The following criteria would probably give a P.I. show points on my “Is it real’o’meter”.     -Are they respectful of the environment they’re investigating?     - Is their history/information well researched/can it be backed up by sources other than word of mouth?    - Do they use the scientific method when attempting to use technology to make contact with ghosts? (i.e. multiple trials with the same instrument, checking the base levels of Electric-Magnetic Fields around them, etc.)    - Do they use more than just Spirit Boxes, SLS cameras and EMF readers? (Do they use touch flashlights, pendulums, compasses, etc?)    - Do they supply unedited/barely edited video/audio evidence of their findings?    - Is there an archive where you are able to find the information they say they have and/or discovered?     - Do they show clips/parts of the investigation where they failed to get any responses? If any of the below criteria are checked, the show is probably just for entertainment purposes, and lose points on my ‘Is It Real’o’meter’:
-Very heavily edited (lots of sound affects/background music used) - Background information is difficult to find, especially if the only information is from the show/ OR the only information you CAN find is that the area is supposedly ‘famous for being haunted’  -Little to no respect is given to the area the supposed spirits inhabit - Extreme reactions to little things like doors creaking, wind howling, etc. -Very shaky/jerky camera movements used to disorient the viewer (quickly panning AWAY from the subject of focus, for example) - Very little history/background information is given; only information that would seem to add to a ‘scare factor’ is used -They don’t use outside evidence/other peoples stories unless they’re really extreme
If it looks like a game of Phasmaphobia... it’s probably not real.
While I have nothing against paranormal investigation shows used for entertainment, I absolutely do have an issue with said shows labeling themselves as authentic. If a show constantly says “this is real” about 5 times an episode, chances are it probably wasn’t. Sorry to be a buzzkill. Something I thoroughly enjoy about Ghost Files/Buzzfeed Unsolved/the ghoul boys is they show you every step of what they do. They also be sure to make the viewer aware that everything is speculation; nothing is confirmed to be ‘real’ or not, while Ghost Adventures tries so desperately to tell the viewer “THIS IS REAL! WE GOT ATTACKED BY SATAN HIMSELF (NOT CLICKBAIT)” All in all, I would just like to spread the information that if you want to get into Paranormal Investigation, don’t use shows like Ghost Adventures that are made solely for entertainment purposes as a basis for your beliefs; because 9 times out of 10, they’re probably faked.  REAL tips on how to talk to the ghostie bois, if you’re interested:
-Don’t be afraid to whip out the pendulums and scribing, if you’re into that stuff. While not many people tend to be spiritual in that sense, researching about how to use pendulums in paranormal investigations can be helpful, especially if you can’t afford fancy gadgets. Scribing can also be an interesting way to reach out to spirits.  -Please do not attempt to summon demons to say howdy. Though there’s speculations on if demons are even real, I recommend not trying to contact one anyway. If you really want to communicate with ghosts, go to an old thrift store or antique shop, and try to find really old photos of people, and try to reach out to the deceased person in the photo instead.  -Don’t do it alone.  When the human mind is already in a fearful state, it can cause us to become paranoid or see things that aren’t really there. This is natural; it’s what keeps prey animals light and on their feet in nature. So have a trustworthy buddy with you; you can keep each other grounded, compare experiences and come to conclusions together. Plus, you can do a lot more investigating is someone else is there with you! -Please don’t spend a million bucks on amazon ghost finding equipment. Unless you plan to do this all the time, don’t spend too much money on spirit boxes and EMF readers; but if you legit plan on doing this, either for content, for money, etc, don’t buy the stuff from amazon. Its easy to get scammed with junk that doesn’t actually work; so be careful about what you buy! (also side note, I’m not sure if I trust SLS cameras.. so either do a lot of research about how they work before you buy it, or wait until you know you definitely want to invest in Paranormal Investigation as a hobby.) If you’re interested in hearing about my own personal “paranormal” experiences, I’d be happy to share them! ^^ Again this is mainly opinion and infodumping. I love Ryan and Shane and have been watching Ghost Files and its throwing me into a paranormal kick lol
