Phantom Kitten
It all started as the GIW got more brutal in Amity Park. And Jazz wanted to make sure Danny was saved; the test showed just Danny was contaminated by it, not her, his friends, or her parents. So while he talked with her Jazz, to make sure he was saved, she pushed him into the Ghost Zone, into a door, to a different place, timeline, or universe. It didn't matter much, she would find him after all is done with the Booomarang. She should at least talk to him first! Danny woke up. He was de-aged as a toddler in a place called Gotham City. He used his powers to steal small items around the city. What! He had no money for food. To cover up his identity, he took the mask he found with Cat Ears and now calls himself "Kitten". Having Ghost Powers is cheating when you escape.
That was how he met the hero Batman, and Danny was fascinated by the gadgets. So he slowly started to steal his gadgets. The first time Batman met the toddler thief was when Danny tried to steal his Batmobile. Yes, the whole Batmobile. Batman, let the toddler play with it and have a head start... He didn't think that "Kitten" would be able to really steal his car. Danny made Catwoman and Batman determined to catch "Kitten" as they underestimated the adorable ghost's abilities. Catwoman Selina Kyle. Well, he is an adorable kitten, and he goes around as a cat already! And he stole her targets not once not twice but 10 times!!
A/N The Batman who lost the Batmobile can be Dick while Bruce was busy in the JL. Kind of want to see Dick trying to explain how he lost the Batmobile.

batjokes and the killing joke
before/during the bronze age of dc joker and batman were often written as fun rivals, nothing really insane happened until the killing joke was released just a few years after the bronze age
the killing joke was so popular it was basically used as canon for future comics to come even though it's not canon. it provided a backstory for joker (even today joker has no canon backstory since he also said in kj "if I were to have a past I prefer it to be multiple choice..." so he makes up his past on the spot to make the victim feel sympathy for him) and a relationship between Bruce and joker of "I don't want us to end." that relationship is now applied to every comic ever that involves them.
the killing joke only revealed the tip of how manipulative joker can be and it's scary. death in the family was released after the killing joke which went more into jokers and batman's obsessions with each other. joker killed Jason because he felt like Jason was taking batman's attention from him, that he would disturb their never ending game
batman himself doesn't even realize his own mental state and how messed up his head is too and how he refuses to let joker die— he constantly saves joker for no reason other than the "I don't want us to end" thing. scott snyder does a rlly good job w that in his comics by making their relationship dependable and unhealthily obsessive. in the Batman who laughs, joker and batman have a similar conversation to the one in the killing joke. batman admits his feelings, but in bwl joker admits he doesn't want batman to die and only does things that he knows batman can get out of, saying that one of them can't be left standing; if they die, they die together.
in injustice Superman saw through Bruce's feelings to joker dying even though joker doesn't deserve that grief. superman straight up told batman "you loved him didn't you" which shocks the reader the most and again shows how messed up bruces mentality is with this attachment
in another comic, joker talks to catwoman (after learning about selinas and bruces wedding) about the end of the killing joke where bruce and joker laughed together under the rain and held each other, again showing obsession. he also tells Selina how she can't marry him because Bruce's attention will leave him. joker needs batman to hurt him, he needs Bruce's undivided attention.
there's also a comic where each year joker would give batman presents in hopes of guessing his birthday. and one year he decided to give himself up as a present. he said they're going to play the game forever until they die. there's no escaping each other and Bruce sadly realizes that what joker said was true. but in catwoman lonely city #4, joker stops their game to tell Bruce he feels tired, he wants them to stop. and Bruce wants the same, but they end up dying together at that moment where joker showed that transparency. both comics show joker calling batman "Bruce" telling the reader that he knows who batman is under the mask. joker only calls him Bruce when he wants to stop their game, when he feels vulnerable. both comics are also centered around a decision of either joker or civilians, and Bruce chose joker. this again goes back to the killing jokes and vaguely connects to it— that they'll be the death of each other, or when they choose to stop, they don't want to lose each other.
in new 52 joker finally loses his grip on his obsession w batman that he goes the farthest he can in showing batman that they need each other. he takes each of Bruce's kids and captures them doing a whole performance or whatever and at the end of death of the family, Bruce tells his kids about jokers intelligence, revealing joker knew who batman and his robins are under their masks basically their entire history (which is also shown in other comics where joker knows Bruce is disguising himself for a case) but joker doesn't mentally accept their identities because it would ruin their game
batman endgame goes even further into that, adding a lot more romantic subtext into their relationship than death of the family did. making them fall in a heart shaped pool of blood, a cover where they posed together as the molds of two lovers found from the remains Pompeii, but still following the killing jokes set relationship of "I don't want us to end"
batman and joker have so much history into them and even in stand alone comics there are still elements of the killing joke, joker reading through batman, Bruce saving joker even though he could've left him and more
also in the joker war Bruce is left with the decision of leaving joker behind or saving him from the explosion and since he knows just how smart joker is he tells him "if you were smart enough to rob the batsuit u can escape easily" and leaves him because he knows he's going to survive similar to how joker leaves Bruce to survive his own games

20 Most Important Female Characters in DC
Tumblr media
3- Catwoman 🐱
Real Name: Selina Kyle (very possibly)
Created by: Bill Finger and Bob Kane
First apparition: Batman #1
(Spring 1940) DC Comics
Specialty: great athlete, expert thief, Agility of a cat Use a whip as a weapon, Expert in hand-to-hand combat.
Current affiliations: Justice League
Previous affiliations: Injustice league, Gotham sirens
Tumblr media
Selina Kyle is, without a doubt, the most dangerous and extraordinary woman that Batman has come across throughout his career.
Tumblr media
Initially conceived as the prototype of a femme fatale of dubious morals, the cat thief (known as Gatubela in Latin America) has always had an intermittent relationship with the Bat Man, with whom she is united by more things than those that separate him.
Tumblr media
She is a character who walks between the borders of good and evil... with an even ambiguous moral if she wants. One day she's a thief, another she's a heroine... and when it comes down to her motives she seems like some sort of cat-loving Robin Hood.
Tumblr media
the victims of she are always millionaires, companies or large corporations. More than once she has committed crimes in her attempt to help those most in need. Her code of honor prevents her from killing, but she does not hesitate to use violence to render her enemies defenseless.
Tumblr media
Although Selina does not have superpowers, her physical condition, her coordination, reflexes and speed and the ability to remember any movement (photographic memory), make her a dangerous opponent, capable of facing metahumans and putting them in more than one jam.
Catwoman is, along with Wonder Woman and Lois Lane, possibly the most famous and recognizable female characters in the DC Universe. Or at least until Hurricane Harley Quinn hit.
Tumblr media
She has left Batman himself planted at the altar, and even had a daughter with him...
Another of the most controversial moments in the character's history was her motherhood. Immediately after Selina killed Black Mask, the Infinite Crisis event (2005-2006) jumped forward in time one year. When we next saw Selina, she had given birth to a child by an unknown father and her old friend, Holly Robinson, had taken on the mantle of Catwoman.
Tumblr media
One day we will have to write an article about fatherhood in the world of superheroes and how difficult (impossible, I would say) that the progeny has to not end up murdered, disappeared or erased from continuity without any kind of consideration... but that will be later...

The Many Faces of Dick Grayson
Tumblr media
Looking at Dick Grayson’s 80 plus years of history, he sure has had many names and faces over the multiverses...
Tumblr media
A Flying Grayson (Batman v 3 # 54)
Tumblr media
Robin, Nightwing and Batman, obviously. (Batman 66 Meets The Green Hornet # 8; Detective Comics # 165; JLA/The Titans # 1)
Tumblr media
Rick Danner (a what if-story where Batman is believed to be killed, Dick continues as Robin but changes his civilan identity. World's Finest Comics # 184, 1969)
Tumblr media
Former Ambassador, and lawyer Richard M Grayson. (America vs the Justice Society, 1985)
Tumblr media
Red Robin (Kingdom Come, 1996)
Tumblr media
Officer Grayson (Nightwing vol 2 # 50, 78, 2000, 2003)
Tumblr media
The Target (Nightwing The Target, 2001)
Tumblr media
Freddy Lloyd (when he ran away from Bruce in Robin: Year One), an alias made up from his parents’ names.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Talon (on New 52 Earth-3, the morally-flipped world where Thomas Wayne Jr/Owlman killed Dick’s parents and sister Rachel to make Dick emotionally bond with him. Talon was later killed by the Joker. His story is told in Justice League vol 2  # 23.4 and # 25, but you never see him as Talon there. This Talon picture is from Nightwing Vol 4 # 17, where Dick sees different versions of himself. I guess this is supposed to be Talon from Earth-3.
Post-Crisis and before Court of Owls was invented, there was another Talon of Earth-3. He worked with Owlman for a time and later got engaged to Duela Dent, and the two of them came to the pre-Flashpoint main universe and joined the Teen Titans during the “year after” (2006). But his identity was never revealed, and his predecessor had been killed, so he might very well not have been the Dick Grayson of that world. (However, the Talon suit in Nightwing Vol 4 # 17 has copied that look.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also Talon, those few panels when great grandfather William Cobb managed to brain-wash the main continuity Dick with the help of a magic (?) crystal. Nightwing Vol 4 # 66, 67. 2020)
Tumblr media
And a Talon (or Owl) again, in the elseworld story Batman: Last Knight on Earth, 2019–2020).
Tumblr media
Deadman (Injustice Gods Among Us Year 3 # 21, 2015)
Tumblr media
"Junior” Malone (The Power Company: Manhunter, 2002).
Tumblr media
Agent 37 (Grayson # 2, 2014). In communications with Batman, he used the codename Birdwatcher.
(He almost got to be John Blake instead of Agent 37, too. See here)
Tumblr media
Gray Son of Gotham, was what the Court called him. (Robin War # 2).
Tumblr media
And another Gray Son, in Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Hush (2020)
Tumblr media
Crutches (when going undercover with the bad guys with a wounded leg, Nightwing Vol 2 108, 2005)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Renegade (somewhat later undercover with the bad guys in Nightwing Vol 2 # 114, after Deathstroke's daughter Rose hassled him to choose a new name).
Tumblr media
Coerced into being Slade’s apprentice. (Teen Titans S1Ep11-12, 2003)
Tumblr media
Doctor Fate. (Flashpoint Deadman and the Flying Graysons # 3)
Tumblr media
Commander Grayson (on the Justice Lord earth in Batman Beyond 2.0. # 23)
Tumblr media
Red X. (Teen Titans S1Ep9, “Masks”, 2003)
Tumblr media
“Ric” (Nightwing Vol 4 # 50, # 62, # 69, 2018–2020)
Tumblr media
Dicky Boy (Nightwing Vol 4 # 71, 2020)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mayor Grayson (Batman Beyond 2016, # 25 and 45)
Tumblr media
Commissioner Grayson (Batman/Catwoman # 3, 2021)

Part 1 - Begin Again
In the darkness, he waited.
With his armour on, and his mask hiding his real identity, he wasn’t Bruce Wayne. Not until dawn at least.
He was vengeance.
He was hope.
He was Batman, the dark vigilante.
He stood tall. His eyes enlightened by the spark of firm determination. His chest filled with an honour that resided between violence and courage. It was his hatred for injustice that gave him the strength to fight night after night against an evil that didn’t seem to ever find its end.
They had rebuilt Gotham. Or at least, they tried. For a time, it looked like things were going better for the city that never sleeps. It almost seemed like a new beginning. Under Mayor Reál's guidance, the people of Gotham were thriving. He helped as much as he could, both as Batman and as Bruce Wayne. Unfortunately, it didn’t last.
Gotham was too attractive and alluring to darkness – now, the nights felt longer than ever.
Everywhere he turned there was corruption and violence. Every night more and more crimes were committed, some of which were small, almost not important, compared to the always growing web of vicious dishonesty, immorality and thirst for power of the mob-gangs and various organized crime lurking in Gotham underworld.
Part of him was exhausted. Sometimes he struggled to see the point in continuing to do his vigilante work. It was difficult to find it worth it to live half a life, and not to get lost in his double identity. But worse, for him, was trying to keep finding the reason to hold the weight of the entire city on his shoulders. It was a lonely and mostly apathetic existence.
But every time doubt slid into his mind, Bruce fought it off. Besides all the names he was known with, both as himself or while wearing the Batman mask, he was mostly a fighter. And he wasn’t used to giving a fight up. Nor what gave him purpose.
Though, something had changed since he began being Batman. He had met a woman. Selina Kyle, better known by the name of Catwoman, as a fairly famous thief around the Gotham underground. Nothing grabbed his attention as she did. She didn’t change him. Their time together was too brief. But she sure made him feel something again after years of nothing. He liked to think he was too stubborn and stoic to have let her get close to him – but he was, of course, fooling himself.
It was easier that way. Believing he didn’t care too much for her, believing that she had been just a short-lived thing, barely a flirt, merely a shot of adrenaline… It made it easier not to miss her.
Especially since he didn’t want to think he could consider himself close to someone. He sure had some exceptions… But in all honesty, they represented a total of two people in the entire city. He didn’t have time to worry about others or protect them, when they weren’t even in the same place as he was, particularly when they had a particular independent, and very close to committing crimes, lifestyle.
Yet, even with all of that, he was still pervaded by hope when the news of a series of thefts started to pile up, appearing to be executed by the same person or group of people. All were committed in high places, easy and clean jobs, no traces of evidence were left behind. Not to mention lots of money started to appear recently, as anonymous donations to charities and associations around Gotham. It became a mystery for the police and reason to be scared for the rich of the city. To the point, he was asked to collaborate with the PD.
He jumped into it headfirst. For once, it wasn’t about the crimes or busting a thief. For him… it was pure anticipation. Hope that it could be her.
So, now, in darkness, he waited.
He weaved a trap for her: attractive enough to possibly get her attention and fairly safe. But also giving him the guarantee to bust the criminal in case it wasn’t Selina. The Batman pretending to collaborate with the richest man in town himself, heir to the founding families: Mr Wayne. It was the art of white lies and he had to admit he was extremely proud of himself.
As Bruce Wayne, he just had to talk to the PD, after Batman suggested the plan to them. Then he pretended to have to reflect on their request, just to accept a little after. Then, he didn’t have to do much, giving a few pieces of art from his personal collection to an exhibit at the Museum, making sure the press was informed of it.
He had even issued a Gala, at the Museum, with the sole aim to attract the thief's attention. Of course, he didn’t participate to it. He was there, Alfred even pushed him to wear a fine suit and didn’t keep himself from suggesting him to mingle with his guests to keep appearances, but he remained mostly hidden.
He was hoping to spot Selina in the crowd, imagining a smart thief would be taking advantage of such an event to study the room. But if she was there, then he missed her – as expected by someone like her. Bruce was definitely the kind of guy who would find pride in his attention to detail and keeping control over everything. But Selina Kyle already proved to him a thousand times, in the brief time they had worked together, that he couldn’t expect to control her.
He thought and acted as if he was a hundred per cent convinced she was going to show up, and of course, he wouldn’t accept to think or prepare to the possibility that there were other good thieves around Gotham since its beginning, and especially now.
The rest was a waiting game.
Finally, he heard a sound. It was the faintest of noises that cracked and echoed through the empty halls of the museum. After a long time of being dipped in the thickest silence, Bruce welcomed it as a pleasant change.
Even if it was sudden, he didn’t flinch. He remained hidden in his dark corner, helped by the black suit he appeared like a shadow. He didn’t even react to the sudden tremble that vibrated through his stomach. Not really accepting to be full of anticipation, like a little boy.
And then, she finally appeared.
Her lean and small figure was wrapped in black leather. Her body was hugged by her suit in a way he could only describe as harmonious. It looked slightly different from the last time he saw it, more resistant, finer. Around her small waist, he spotted her whip, and a few pockets full of God knows what. She had a small backpack on her shoulder. He was happy to see she still wore her mask that presented her signature ears. Cute. He thought to himself.
Even if the room was barely lit, and she was masked, he would have recognised the charming darkness of those eyes, or the fullness of those lips, or the rhythm of her movements anywhere.
His attention was captivated, his focus evaporated, while his heart flickered, like he never allowed himself to do when he was the Batman. But for her.
He had to use every drop of strength and control he had, not to jump out of his hiding corner. It wasn’t difficult for him to imagine grabbing her, not to fight her but just to hold her. Even if he imagined Selina wouldn’t have let him do such a thing so easily – not even after everything they shared; they still hadn’t seen each other for a long time.
He watched her study the room and move around with the skill of an expert in thievery and a charm no other woman possessed. She moved fluidly, sensually, like water. His hands itched from his feral need to feel her.
She was careful. Her steps didn’t make a sound.
He imagined she must have deactivated the alarms and surveillance around the museum. Even if, he had to admit, he managed to convince the management to make it easier for the thief to get in; always pretending to have the support of Mr Wayne, he ensured any losses from the museum, due to such a decision, would be repaid – his plan sounded risky but alluring.
And in the end, it worked.
He watched Selina work her way through the collection of small statuettes and jewellery and purposely didn’t intervene.
His plan was to bust whomever thief was responsible but Selina. If she was back in town, he wanted to know where to find her.
Tumblr media
He didn’t bother to cover the heaviness of his steps while he approached the door of the apartment he saw Selina disappear into.
Hearing such heavy steps, no neighbour would have done much more but peak through the peephole of their doors. And he imagined no one would have dared to get in his way once they saw his shadow.
The short corridor was empty and narrow. It seemed to perfectly fit the looks of the deteriorated building it was into, in the outer skirts of Gotham. He could barely fit through it walking forward, his armoured shoulder caressed a side of its walls. The floorboards under his feet creaked dangerously, in a clear state of decay, maybe still from the flooding, maybe from before, it didn’t seem safe for a man of his weight and size, to straddle on them.
It also smelled bad, like piss and trash. He wondered why she would hide in such a hole, dark and dump, in a rough area with more than a bad reputation, when he knew for a fact, she was packed with money after what she stole to Falcone.
When he reached for the door, he was surprised to find it left ajar.
He frowned. Moved by curiosity, and even more, by his selfish desires, he entered the small apartment.
It was messy – not that he much cared. And filled with cats, as he remembered. An almost imperceptible smile crossed his lips. The animals welcomed him with curious meows and purrs. Some of them he already met, and they were now trotting all around his feet, raised tails, rubbing themselves on his boots and ankles, not much caring he was wearing a thick armour. A couple stayed in the distance, studying him. They must have been newly found strays.
The second he raised his eyes, he met Selina’s. She was studying him, in the distance, like her cats.
He didn’t seem to be the only one not caring to hide any longer. She laid on a shabby sofa, a glass of milk in her hand and meters of naked skin exposed to him.
He almost fell on his knees.
She was wearing only some kind of cottony, kind of sporty, kind of comfy underwear. Not that he much cared for what she was wearing. Her suit was left in a forgotten pool of leather on the floor close by, next to the backpack he saw her robbing the museum with, in which he knew to find proof of it. But he didn’t move. His eyes slowly traced back to her.
Selina seemed comfortable. She remained sprawled on her sofa, just looking at him. Her dark gaze travelled all across his figure, there was pride in those tempting eyes of hers.
Finally, she moved.
Selina sighed and sat up. A victorious smile curled on her full lips, while her eyes sparkled. “I knew it was you.” She purred.
Again, Bruce almost fell on his knees, now more than ever feeling weak. His eyes were begging her to accept him to get close.
He didn’t answer, but that seemed more than ok, Selina never needed much of his words.
She drank a gulp of her milk and then she raised. She stood up in one, fluid movement. She left her glass on a coffee table and as she moved around the small room, cats moved around her.
She approached him. So much smaller than him, she was fierce and courageous, enough to not be afraid of the menace many saw in the Batman, enough to challenge him constantly. Enough to seduce him without any shame or apologies for it.
Selina leaned her head backwards to look up at him. Her hands travelled on his chest, caressing the solid, cold, heavy armour he wore with the same softness she would probably offer to his skin.
She purred again. “Are you going to arrest me, Vengeance?”
Hers was a question, but the smirk she offered him and the wicked dim crossing her beautiful, dark eyes made it clear she was confident he intended to do otherwise.
He still had to talk. And he still had to react in any other way if not being mesmerised by her every movement, intoxicated by her scent and dazzled by her beauty. She wasn’t supposed to be surrounded by such decay and darkness. He felt the rumbling need to protect and serve her. As strong as it was, right now, his need to raise his hands and touch her. It would have been so easy, she was so close he barely needed to move, in fact.
He looked strong and scary. To everyone else in that damn city, that was the entire point. But in front of her, he just felt like he could crumble.
“No.” He finally said, finding the courage to push something out his tightened throat.
He was lucky he couldn’t blush because the long look she gave him made him feel like she was looking for a treat she desperately craved. He felt her drag her long, sharp nails across his chest plate. Another purr.
He wasn’t thinking straight anymore. Everything he wanted now was to have her bending underneath him. He wanted to make her purr in pleasure.
Finally, he decided to raise his gloved hand and with it, he gently cupped her jaw in his palm. His hands had rarely seen anything but violence, to the point he almost felt like he could stain her beautiful skin. But she melted against his touch, pressing her cheek in his palm and releasing a satisfied sigh. She even closed her eyes for a second.
Bliss.
“What are you doing, Selina?” His question seemed utterly out of place. She flinched, even if just for a second. But before anything else, he felt like it was right to at least acquaint himself with the current situation.
She was someone he felt something for after years of complete apathy. And what he felt for her was strong and ravaging, it shook his world. Choosing his duty over a fairy tale with her broke his heart. But he also thought she would be free and safe somewhere enjoying her money.
What changed?
She huffed and rolling her eyes, she left him to cross the room. She walked in front of him and moved her hips in a way that fogged his thoughts. He knew she knew he was looking closely at her, and he imagined her move was a punishment.
“You always know how to ruin a party, don’t you?” She asked, her tone slightly bored and slightly offended. She peeked over her shoulder, her gaze was still wicked and alluring.
She slid towards a closed door and turned to him, pressing her back against the wooden panel. Again, she looked at him from top to toes with the same, hungry look from before. A shiver crossed his spine, while his blood started to boil. All of a sudden, his armour seemed too tight and too uncomfortable.
“You know what I have been thinking about for the past year or so?” She raised her chin slightly. Her question didn’t seem one of those he was supposed to answer. So, he just stood there, in silence, towering in the middle of her small kitchen-living room space, waiting. Selina smiled. “How much I regretted not having more time.”
“More time for what?”
Her smile curled in a wicked smirk, of the same kind of shade her eyes were filled with. The air charged of so much electricity between them two, he suddenly felt dumb to ask such a question.
He had regrets too, for the longest time. To the point, he tried to track her down, with no results and absolutely no surprise. He tried, but he knew she had disappeared for good. Even now that she was there, tangible and in flesh in front of him, he was hesitating, but his mind was rampaging wild to all the things he wanted to do to her not to give her the chance to forget him, ever.
She nodded towards him. It was a signal driven by such decision he didn’t have the strength to oppose. Nor he wanted to. He stepped closer to her, like called by a chant.
“Take your armour off, Vengeance.” She commanded. Her order soothed him like a hot pleasing balm. He didn’t have any doubt about following her words. Not even if what she was asking was to take his mask off.
As if she read his mind, she offered another devilish smile. “Keep the mask. I like it. It makes me want to sit on your face.” She purred again. Her words became vivid images in his head that made him choke on his own breath. Immediately he got lost in savouring the idea of her flavour. His mouth watered. He whimpered, extremely weakened just by the idea she could do it. And then desiring for her to do it.
To his prolonged silence, she just smiled and entered the room, leaving the door ajar again, for him.
Bruce didn’t think about it twice. He did as she asked.
For just a moment, while he was getting rid of his weapons. He realised he was giving her more trust than he had ever given anyone else before.
He was willing to keep anonymity, even if part of him, under his mask, craved to have her desire as much as the Batman had. At the same time, he didn’t intend to lose any more time to wonder if she would have welcomed him in her bed, knowing he was Bruce Wayne.
It sounded like a wrong thought with a dark shade of selfishness to it, hiding such a thing from her. But then again, she granted him the possibility to remain in disguise.
Wearing only his boxers and mask, he followed her into the bedroom. He closed the door behind him, making sure the cats didn’t follow him.
The room was dark, lit just by the orange light of a lamppost outside her window. He didn’t pay attention to much else, his eyes found her lying between the messy bedsheets. Her eyes slid on his figure, her smile signalled her approval to what she was seeing, and Bruce’s chest filled with such pride it was indescribable.
She was naked. She was beautiful. Her skin was smooth, the colour of coffee, covering her perfectly toned, lean body.
He didn’t even realise he grumbled to such vision until she moved and stretched to such a sound, inviting him to get close.
He jumped on her in a second. Moved by the Batman courage, he dived onto her lips in a devouring kiss he craved as he would with air, water or food. Her lips were soft and warm, her mouth wet and hot – her kiss was as famished as his.
Selina wrapped her arms around his wide shoulders and slid under his torso, welcoming him between her departed legs, that she didn’t wait to throw around his waist, squeezing him against her with demanding desire. He felt her stretch and rub herself against him, feeling her warm, soft skin against his had a trace of heavenly peace to it.
A soft sigh of approval vibrated through her chest when she found his erection constricted in his boxers, and again she rubbed herself against him. Now, with more intention.
He thought he could lose his mind.
Now being more feral than human, Bruce’s famished lips left hers just to travel over to her neck. He devoured her skin, his mind was foggy and focused only on the soft whimpers she released, melting between his arms.
His hands moved all over her body. With heavy caresses, he made sure to embed the feeling of her figure on his palms. He followed her thin, muscular arms and then her sides, counting her ribs with his fingers and then following the shape of her waist just to grab on her hips, happily growling to the feeling of keeping her between his hands. He didn’t stop. He followed her legs adoring to feel her muscles move and tens under his palm.
He wanted to feel her strength. He desired to know how much could she bend. His mind filled with the filthiest, sweetest images.
Nothing else mattered. He decided he was allowed to turn his back to Gotham for that night.
Insatiable, he continued his descent on her body, exploring her skin.
He sealed his lips around one of her breasts, sucking on her nipple. As soon as his tongue swirled around her pearled skin, both of them released a moan. Only, hearing hers made him definitely lose his mind.
He raised on his arms, pinning her with a voracious look.
Selina purred for him and stretched again, letting him look at her – seemingly enjoying having his eyes on her. She slid her hands on his neck, she softly passed her nails on his skin, just to proceed and move them on his chest and down towards his abdomen following the hard edges of his muscles. He trembled, unsure he would be able to survive her.
“Why are you not fucking me yet, Vengeance?” He purred to her dominance. There was no doubt who was leading. Hers was a whisper that arrived to his ears as clear as a shout and shook him deeply. God, if only he knew the answer.
Enclosed in his silence, not willing to waste words where there was no need for them, he willingly didn’t listen to her words. He wanted her to desperately ask for it. As much as he loved her to command him, and as much as he clearly gave her freedom to do so. There were desires of his own he needed to feed before losing every drop of control he had left to her.
He moved across her body. This time, he didn’t have any patience. He threw her legs over his shoulders and grabbed her hips, keeping her steady.
He didn’t give her time to flinch or react that he already buried his face between her legs. As so he dreamed to do for so long.
A deep growl left his chest at the exact moment he tasted her for the first time. His tongue moved slowly, stroking her wet, slick folds. As her flavour danced on his tastebuds, he raised his eyes on her, his gaze was darker than when he lost himself into his rage.
Whatever she was ready to say, probably lashing out a witty comment, was immediately wiped out by a loud moan that filled his ears. That was it, he could have died a happy man now.
Selina dug her nails into his forearms, throwing her head backwards on the mattress and pushing her chest forward. She tried to move her hips against his lips, to set the rhythm she desired, but he pushed her down, keeping her steady.
Bruce feasted on her, her pleasure was like ambrosia, intoxicating him but also soothing him like a warm balm. He licked and sucked with every intention to take her over the edge. His nose was full of her scent, his hands of her skin, his mouth of her flavour, his ear of her cries.
Why did he ever think his existence was cursed and doomed when he was blessed in such a way now?
Selina raised her head. He thought he knew what heaven could feel like… Until their eyes crossed and she saw her gaze filled with her pleasure. Her lips were humid and departed, her cheeks reddened. He pushed his tongue deep inside of her, just to see her reaction. The whimper she gifted him was more than satisfactory.
She nodded towards him, demanding, commanding him not to stop. The idea that she was close to her climax because of him filled him with such adrenaline and pride.
He didn’t stop.
He let her hips have the freedom to move, and as soon as he did, she tightened the hold of her legs around his shoulders to give herself something to latch onto, while she pushed both her hands on his head, holding onto his mask. For just a moment he wished for her to slid her fingers through his hair. He watched her bare her teeth, hissing in pure pleasure, while she rode his tongue.
“Vengeance…”
The whimper that slid through her lips while she released, calling for him, almost broke him, bringing him tremendously close to going completely mad.
There was nothing else he wanted to hear but her, lost in bliss, saying his name. He didn’t even want to hear her call him Bruce in such a way – but Selina pronouncing Vengeance while she was coming… That charged him up with such dark, powerful energy.
As soon as the waves of pleasure started to spread through her body, he freed himself from her hold. Bruce was on her again, diving on her lips like a famished animal. He didn’t even bother to clean his lips and chin off her. But Selina didn’t seem to mind. She immediately caged him between her libs, whimpering softly against his mouth.
He had no more patience, now.
He pushed a hand between them and lowered his boxers in a rushed movement. He positioned himself to find her entrance, without saving either of them from a slow caress against her wet folds that made her quiver, he then broke their kiss just to look at her.
She might have made an animal of him. But he was still a gentleman. Even if he wanted to do to her the dirtiest things imaginable.
He had to wait no longer than a second to receive her commanding, decisive nod.
With a grunt, he slid inside of her slowly not looking away. He wanted to see her face distorted in pleasure, welcoming him – and he wasn’t disappointed by the purr she gave him. He saw her pupils widen, but she held eye contact, digging her nails this time through his shoulders.
Feeling the hot, wet embrace of her trembling body stretching around him made his head spin. He had to clutch his fist on the sheets desperately looking for support. He pulled her thigh against his side, and then he slid an arm under her leg, hooking his elbow to her knee, pushing her to bend her leg even more for him.
She didn’t object, instead, she stretched, welcoming his action with a satisfied grin, immediately wiped off her face with pleasure.
“Fuck…” She hissed. “I did not figure…”
He ripped the words coming out of her mouth with a deep thrust inside of her, transforming them into a moan. He knew she was going to say something vaguely flirty, but bitter in a way. He still studied her, his eyes caressed her features closely no need for words to answer to hers, she was a good talker on her own.
Selina was shaken by soft laughter, a satisfied chuckle that shook her between his arms. “I didn’t imagine you would be good.”
He didn’t respond to her with words, he just kept moving his hips in a dance in and out of her, as she appeared to be enjoying that much. Hers was a comment supposed to be a compliment, yet sounded the opposite. But he didn’t take any offence in her words. It’s not as if she was wrong. He definitely wasn’t a Casanova. And sex had never been his priority.
He had tried it when he was younger. But he soon forgot about it, or lost interest… It didn’t much matter. At least until he met her. Then, he struggled to think about anything else when thinking about Selina.
She soon took control over him. Giving him a push, she made him roll on his back, just to quickly hop on top, straddling his hips. Towering above him, she slid back around him, taking him deep inside of her. With a satisfactory grin printed on her mouth, now it was her the one observing his pleasure mutate his firm features.
She started riding him to her own rhythm and as soon as he tried to touch her, she grabbed his hands and pinned them above his head, pushing him down under her. He didn’t even try to oppose her, too weak, too enchanted, to not let her do of him whatever she wanted.
She bent over him, pushing her face close to his she softly brushed her lips against his. He lifted his head, trying to capture her in a kiss that she purposely escaped, reclining her head away from him. But as soon as he leaned his head back on the mattress, she followed him once more.
What terrible torture.
“I thought I had to teach you some things…” She admitted in a whisper so close to his face he could feel the taste of her breath vibrate on his tongue. His mouth watered. She wasn’t done. “I thought you were a virgin.”
It took him a good second to understand her words, too lost in the feeling of her sliding over him to focus on anything else. But when he did, he almost choke on his own breath. Though, a shy smile appeared on his lips. No words were given.
But he didn’t miss the spark lighting up Selina's eyes to the sight of his grin.
She sat back upon him. As soon as she let go of his hands, he didn’t miss the chance to grab her waist. His palms filled by his hips, his fingers well distended, opened and clutched on her soft skin. She hissed to his move, but instead of trying and stop him again, she asserted her dominance over him she dug her nails deep into his chest, scratching his skin.
The pain that shot through his body just for a second brought him to draw his teeth, but almost immediately it mixed with his pleasure, melting his ferocious expression into a blissful sigh.
Her hips moved ferociously over his. Selina didn’t have any mercy over him, famished and determined to get what she wanted. The more he whimpered, breaking his breathing with soft almost quiet moans, the more she became greedy.
His eyes travelled over her naked body, unsure there was anything in that world he could compare to such a vision. He didn’t seem to be the kind of man who could have that kind of thoughts… And yet he wasn’t ashamed.
She was beautiful.
To see her stretching, arching backwards to welcome another wave of pleasure that released through her. To hear her invoke his name. To feel her inside trembling and quivering around him, squeezing his erection violently and uncontrollably, threw him off the edge way sooner than what he fantasised he could last.
As his nature, even him welcoming an orgasm was quiet. But he made sure his eyes were locked to hers. At least for a moment, just a second before hinting her to move, leaving him so he wouldn’t release inside of her.
He might have appeared as a quiet, shy, inexperienced vigilante. But he wasn’t stupid nor naïve.
They laid next to each other for an unidentified amount of time. Sweaty, catching their breath, both looking at the ceiling. A peaceful silence fell above them, covering them like a blanket.
He didn’t even bother to clean up his own mess, which left traces on his stomach and her sheets. He didn’t see the reason to apologise.
He had to fight against the desire to take off his mask, just to feel comfortable against the pillows. And most of all, he was struggling to accept the idea that sooner or later he would have had to leave.
But not yet.
Not until dawn. Or until the moment Selina would ask him.
“Why are you back?”
He finally gathered enough strength to talk. His question lingered in the air and for a moment, he thought Selina fell asleep. But her breathing wasn’t slow or regular enough to suggest it. The seconds piled between them.
“Do you even have to ask?” She finally answered stretching next to him and rolling on his chest, looking at him. He was still so lost in his satisfaction, his mind blurry and fogged by what just happened, that for a moment he almost gave himself the false hope to believe he could be her reason.
But he knew better. He trusted her enough to get naked and unarmed, almost enough to reveal to her his real identity. But again, he wasn’t so naïve.
“Selina.”
“I wanted to see you. I missed you, Vengeance.”
“Why now?”
“Seemed like a good time to be back. Gotham was too tranquil for a girl like me.”
“You stole what some people believe to be a lot of money.”
“I kept almost nothing to myself.” She plead, fluttering her eyelashes in a way that made his stomach flicker. He tried his best to ignore her.
“Am I supposed to ignore it?”
She flinched. His words seemed to hurt her. Selina withdrew from him and rolled over, sitting on the mattress as if she was going to get up. “No. Arrest me, then.”
“Selina.” He called her and before she could put more distance between them, she grabbed her arm and gently held her back. “That’s not what I meant.”
“And what did you mean?!” She didn’t look at him.
He moved, throwing his legs over the edge of the bed, he sat closer to her. “Don’t work against me. Work with me.”
She didn’t answer, her dark eyes still pointed in front of her. He gave her another shake, trying to catch her gaze with his. “Isn’t that what you wanted? The Bat and the Cat?”
He forced himself to talk, aware that if he didn’t he would have lost her. Even if his words sounded as cheesy as they did. But at least they seemed to reach her. Selina hesitated before she lowered her eyes on him.
“A tranquil life, being normal, away from the world I grew into… It’s not me. That is why I am back.”
“Is that why you didn’t look for me?” Now it was him who withdrew from her. But as he looked away, Selina was quick to push her fingers under his chin, bringing his gaze back on her.
There were secrets hiding behind her eyes. But the glimmer of honesty also dimmed through her dark irises, while she offered him a soft, warm smile.
“I found you, didn’t I?”
“No. I found you.”
She released the softest chuckle that slid through him like a warm summery breeze. “As you said, I stole quite a lot of money, got attention… And as you remember, I barely need money these days.”
He felt his heart melt in the palm of her hand. If she wanted, she could have reached into his chest right there and then pluck it.
“You don’t trap a cat unless it wants to come to you.” She pointed out sending him a clever look. She let herself fall back on the mattress with a long sigh and as she moved, he followed her, unable to stay at a distance.
Selina placed a hand on his face, he could feel her long nails gently rub against the material of his mask, on his temple. She looked at his face intensely.
“I can use your help, Selina.”
“Are you asking me out on a date, Vengeance?” She giggled, but her expression quickly lost its cheerfulness as soon as she realised how hardened his features remained. He was serious. Because basically, yes that was what he was asking.
He wanted her. He wanted to share the night with her. And his days. And everything in between. Because for months he tortured himself imagining to have the chance to both follow his honour and duties in Gotham, and live his life next to her. And because the idea of sharing his burdens with her made him feel lighter.
“I don’t even know your name.”
She whispered looking at him, her breath suddenly broken. For a moment he thought if there was a moment he could reach her heart, then that was it. Now they both fell into a long silence. Then he moved, hinting to remove his mask.
He was unable or unwilling to think about doing anything else. She needed to know who he was and he wanted her to. To show her his trust. To see if she would have changed the way she looked at him.
Especially since Bruce Wayne was nothing like the Batman.
But as he started to pull his mask off, her hands gently surrounded him, stopping his action.
She looked at him for a long moment, her big eyes lost into his her tough mask too, uncovered. She offered him a sweet smile.
“No. Not like this. Come looking for me, as him, when you’re ready.”

What makes you like Selina's purple costumes the best? And how would you rank her Catwoman costumes throughout the years from best to worst?
Hi Anony! 😊 So lovely of you to drop by!
I wrote a little piece on the Balent suit a while back, I'll quote myself here to explain why I like it the best:
I love purple. [...] The purple outfit is just the prettiest to me. The color, the gloves and boots, the cowl, it’s just gorgeous! And in a way an expression of what Selina is: very feminine, seductive, playful, and classy. Purple is the color of royalty, female cats are called “queens” - Selina’s the queen of the night, the world’s best thief. It just IS her color.
Also if you go up against the big bad Bat, what’s the best way to defeat (or in her case, escape from) him? Short-circuiting his brain! So all he sees is a curvy lady in skin-tight leather, wearing an inviting yet dangerous smile, throwing innuendo at him… Tell me that he can still concentrate on his mission, I dare ya!
[...] it’s also so much more… subtle. Yes, it’s skin-tight but it covers her up entirely and leaves something to the imagination. It might be just me but I prefer this over the cleavage that practically jumps at you. [...]
(I once tried to explain it like this: current Catwoman is a like stripper, raw and sexualised; 90s Catwoman is a Burlesque dancer, sexy and playful).
The suit’s even very funtional. Purple is harder to spot in the dark or when the light from bright neon signs on buildings reflects off of it. She’s wearing comfortable and light boots she can run and get a hold on edges with (yes, I’m talking about the version without high heels), not those heavy motherfuckers she could never be silent or soft-footed with! [...] And no goggles means no glass that can crack and get into your eyes. (or make you look like a bug)
Tl;dr: The Balent suit just expresses Selina's personality the best and, on a personal note, is the most aesthetically pleasing one.
Now over the past decades, we've had doooozens of Catwoman suits. I don't know if I can rank them all. 😅 I doubt anyone's ever done that.
But I can do a personal top 10 list if that's okay with you!
#1 - Jim Balent's 90's suit
Tumblr media
As I said, it's just perfection. I love it!
#2 - Batman: The Animated Series suit
Tumblr media
Something not purple is #2?! Yes! 🤣 I have a very soft spot for the BTAS design of Catwoman and not just because she was the first Catwoman I knew. She fits so well into the animated version of Gotham and her elegant outfit is a lovely parallel to Batman's suit, underlining how much of soulmates they are. If she had black hair, she would be perfect.
#3 - Golden / Bronze Age / Batman: The Brave and the Bold suit
Tumblr media
Back to purple: a dress and a cape. Not very practical but gorgeous. The changes between the outfits are very minimal so I combined them for my third place.
#4 - Silver Age suit
Tumblr media
Purple, cape - and pants! Doesn't look bad, right? They should have used this one more often.
#5 - Tim Sale's Long Halloween suit
Tumblr media
Sale's design is a bit lower on the list due to the useless tail, the big mouse ears, and the weird way the mask covers Selina's nose. A variation seen in When in Rome... even adds ridiculous whiskers to it. Why?! Also the jingling bracelets would constantly give away her position. BUT I was very happy when I saw the suit in Batman: Arkham City.
#6 - Injustice Regime suit
Tumblr media
This suit is lucky that it's purple and has tiny cute cat applications. Otherwise it wouldn't be here. 😜
#7 - The Long Halloween animated movie suit
Tumblr media
This one is basically a darker version of the BTAS suit minus the yellow belt (why are you afraid of colors, DC?). It's not bad at all but it bears the negative connotation that we got it instead of an animated version of the purple suit from the comics. A cheap substitute. We were robbed!
#8 - Batman: Arkham City suit
Tumblr media
While I'm no fan of the "zipper and goggles" suits, this one bothers me the least. Maybe because I loved the game, maybe because of the texture and gray color, I don't know. But this one, I like.
#9 - Batman Returns suit
Tumblr media
Another suit that fits well into the universe the character lives in. We saw how it came to be, manically stitched together by an unstable woman, and it symbolises how Selina's mental state falls apart over the course of the movie. I'm a sucker for symbolism.
#10 - Batman 1966 TV show suit
Tumblr media
This one works because of the wonderful woman in it. Julie Newmar's hourglass figure looks fantastic in this glistening number. I know Lee Meriwether and Eartha Kitt rocked it as well but man, you just can't top the original. Bonus points for the nostalgia.
---
Costumes that I think are among the worst (in no particular order) are:
The very first costume she wore with the creepy cat head, the green snake-looking suit, the blue costume with the red domino mask, and that ugly-ass thing her AME-Comi version wore. I would add more pictures but tumblr says "10 pics max per post" - fuck you. 😑
And if you're wondering "Where is whatever the fuck Halle Berry was wearing?" - I do not consider that movie a Catwoman movie. It has absolutely nothing to do with the DC character we all know. Change the movie's title and the only "connection" is gone. So I don't count that abomination they made her wear.
---
Thank you for the question, Anony! This was lots of fun putting together! 💜

Superdad knows that what Bruce does isn’t that “right”, right?
I think Bruce’s obsession with being Batman and then Selina and all of the messed up shit he causes like making secret files about the league’s weaknesses just might ruin his relationship with superdad and get superdad closer to Clark maybe
Just thoughts
Okay, so what you've got to understand is the prime difference between Bruce and Clark. For Clark, being Superman is, ultimately, a hobby. He can stop if he wishes, but he likes helping people out and saving them. For Bruce, being Batman is not only his chosen purpose, but it's also a coping mechanism. But also consider Superdad's upbringing. He doesn't really know anything else. He's never been anything but an experiment subject and then a supervillain - for a long time, that's his only identity. Possibly for even longer than Bruce's psyche has been fractured. (It's pointed out more than once that for him, Bruce Wayne is the mask and that he personally considers himself to be Batman). But really, Bruce and Superdad are pretty compatible. Both have a somewhat skewed morality due to their upbringing, they're pragmatic and really, they'd just be enablers of each other. Where Clark helps Superdad discover himself beyond the context of villainy or experimentation, Bruce basically just helps him turn his energy towards good.
As for the secret files, that's a different matter. Being the paranoid person he is, Bruce is acutely aware that if one of the Justice League were to be mind controlled/influenced/go rogue, it's going to be nearly impossible to stop them. Like, think about the Injustice universe - Clark going crazy means there's almost nothing that can stand against him. It's not unreasonable to think there ought to be some kind of safeguard. And yet, Bruce makes a pretty typical mistake. First off, even though he comes up with a file for himself as well, he still keeps these files in existence - for what? This is not only overconfidently assuming he can keep these safe, but also that he'll never end up mind controlled or influenced. Or more likely, it's because he doesn't want to give up control because he often does stuff that would make the rest of the League turn on him.
In either case, I don't think it'd do much to turn Superdad against him. Superdad's a "normal" human like Bruce too, and would understand the need to have a contingency plan in place.
As for Selina... that requires some more analysis. From the inception of her character, she was intended for sex appeal. (Ironically, as her character developed over the years, her costume became more sexualized - many may not recognize Selina if shown her original design when compared to the leather-suited, whip wielder she is today) Even now, Selina is basically used as the most common example of the enemies-to-lovers trope. I have my own problems with this, but honestly, in most versions of Catwoman, her and Bruce forming a romantic relationship just goes against most of Bruce's characterization and makes him just another guy looking for a score. In most cases, she's an unrepentant criminal, and constantly ends up reforming and then somehow or other goes back to being a criminal.
I think part of Bruce's constant attraction to Selina comes from his idea that he can somehow "save" her or turn her to good, and her constant flipflopping from good to evil keeps him on that hook. But Selina doesn't want to be saved. If she becomes a hero, it's on her terms, and not because she was 'rescued.'
Superdad is basically Catwoman with way less moral ambiguity. He's a supervillain that isn't really a villain because he isn't selfish or hurting people, and he 'turns' to good with Bruce's influence, so basically he's got pretty much all he needs there that he'd never really need to look at Selina again.

DCEU recast/fancast
Like my MCU recast/fancast and for fun, if I could recast anyone, I would choose this.
Few things first.
This will just be recasting the current DCEU, for a more in depth recast, see my old one
Barry Allen will not be the Flash in this, it will be Wally West
Recasting Steve Trevor so Chris Pine can be Hal Jordan
Jason, Ray and Joe are the only ones returning in my recast
I love Henry as Clark, but WB cannot make up their fucking minds if he’s staying or going and we need ONE definitive Batman and we do not need a Anti-Palestinian as Wonder Woman
My version of Birds Of Prey is about Barbara, Dinah and Helena coming together to stop Lady Shiva and Cain and it ends with Cassandra saving Barbara from Cain and Barbara begins to train Cassandra as the next Batgirl and Barbara taking the mantle of Oracle(Black Mask will make an appearance to hire Cain to assassinate someone, but that’s it. Worldbuilding to show who runs the Gotham Underworld)

The contemporary version of the character is the alter-ego of Dr. Doris Zeul,[8] who suffers from a fatal blood disease. She captures Wonder Woman and plans to put her "life-essence" into Wonder Woman's body using an experimental machine. Interrupted by Wonder Girl halfway through the experiment she ends up with her consciousness in a test animal gorilla named Giganta.[1]
Desperate to return her mind to a human body, Zeul the gorilla abducts a comatose circus strongwoman named Olga with size-changing abilities[9] through unknown means (though Olga was comatose due to a mysterious shaman) and uses the machine to successfully transfer her mind into that body, keeping the villain name "Giganta".
Following her transformation, Giganta allies herself with Queen Clea and the modern incarnation of Villainy Inc. in an attempt to conquer the lost world of Skartaris.[10] Villainy Inc. is defeated by Wonder Woman, but Giganta is subsequently seen as a member of several criminal groups, including the Secret Society of Super Villains.[11]
As part of the Society, she takes part in the "Battle of Metropolis", a confrontation with multiple heroes, including Elasti-Girl, the size-changing member of the Doom Patrol. The Society ultimately loses this battle.[12]
When Diana Prince noted that Giganta's intellect reduces as she grows in size,[13] compelling the villain to become less rational and more prone to violence, she was corrected by her colleagues in the Department of Metahuman Affairs. They implied that Giganta has overcome that limitation and retains her full intelligence at any size.[14]
Giganta in her One Year Later costume, which she continued to use until the New 52.
"One Year Later," Giganta, along with The Cheetah and Doctor Psycho, engage in a battle with Donna Troy (who has assumed the identity of Wonder Woman one year after the events of Infinite Crisis), as part of a search for, as they term it, the "real" Wonder Woman (Diana of Themyscira).[9] The villains continue their quest,[13] holding Troy hostage in order to draw Diana out for a rescue attempt and contend with the current Wonder Girl, Robin, and Diana herself in the guise of government agent Diana Prince. Giganta and her allies also battle Hercules, with the giantess being felled by the legendary champion.[15]
Giganta is a teacher at Ryan Choi's Ivy Town University.[16] Infected and controlled by M'Nagalah, the monstrous Cancer god, she was sent to seduce and capture Ryan Choi, the new Atom, in the process even going so far as to swallow the miniature hero alive (he escapes, and also discovers that she has a tongue piercing[17]). Now free of M'Nagalah's control, a seemingly repentant Dr. Zeul retains her position at Ivy University and has approached Ryan for a second chance, despite the bizarre circumstances of their first meeting.
Before their second date, the Atom is approached by Wonder Woman on behalf of the Department of Metahuman Affairs and asked to wear a wire on his date with Dr. Zeul. After professing her desire to reform, she is informed that Ryan is wearing a wire and tears off the roof of the restaurant to see Wonder Woman and Ryan talking - unaware that Ryan had removed the wire. A fight between Wonder Woman and Giganta ensues. Wonder Woman quickly knocks Giganta out but Ryan intervenes to stop Wonder Woman from beating her further, after admitting she had lost her temper - they realize that Dr. Zeul has disappeared.[18] Whether she heard or saw Ryan's actions to stop her from getting further injuries is yet to be seen.
Giganta is a member of the new Injustice League[19] and she is one of the villains featured in the Salvation Run.[1]
Giganta is also a member of Libra's Secret Society of Super Villains, during the Final Crisis and is shown as a thrall of Darkseid alongside several other super-powered women. She is now called Gigantrix.[20] Over the course of the series she fights as one of the new incarnations of the Female Furies with Wonder Woman, Batwoman and Catwoman. She is possessed by the spirit of the fury Stompa, and only freed when Supergirl smashes the skull-and-crossbones mask from her face.[21]
Giganta is attacked by Diana while on her way to a date with Ryan Choi,[22] implying that their relationship has survived despite earlier difficulties. Mellower than in her appearances in the All-New Atom series, she seems to accept and respect the shortcomings brought by their different lifestyles, going so far as to help Wonder Woman in a mission, reasoning that, with Ryan being a superhero, they should both be used to putting their heroics in front of their private lives.
Most recently, Bane hires her on as one of the new members of Secret Six.[23] The team also includes the shrinking killer, Dwarfstar, who recently hired Deathstroke and his Titans to kill Ryan Choi. Giganta initially seems unaware of this fact, admitting to Dwarfstar that she is dating the Atom (much to Dwarfstar's amusement). Following a disastrous mission to Skartaris, Amanda Waller reveals the details of Ryan's murder to Giganta. After luring Dwarfstar to her bedroom with the promise of sex, Giganta strips him of his belt (the source of his powers) and beats him into submission. She is last heard covering Dwarfstar's mouth with duct tape to stifle his screams, telling him that she plans on keeping him alive so that she can prolong his suffering.[24]
In September 2011, DC Comics revised the fictional history of its comic book line under the title "The New 52". In the revised comic book line, Doris Zeul was bullied as a child due to a rare blood disease. When she got older, Doris tried to cure herself using radiation which resulted in her gaining sizeshifting abilities.[25] Giganta appears as a member of the Secret Society during the "Trinity War" storyline. She assists Vandal Savage and Signalman into tracking Pandora. When the three villains attack Pandora, Pandora successfully subdues Giganta. Her costume combines elements from her original and One Year Later costumes.[26]
After her first encounter with Pandora, Giganta returns for revenge following the conclusion of the Forever Evil storyline. During their fight, Pandora looks into Giganta's soul, and reveals her origin story. Doris Zeul was a bullied child with a blood disease, but cured herself with a radical procedure that gave her her growth powers. A side-effect of the untested operation was that it reduced her intellect.[27]
Giganta is later recruited by agents of S.H.A.D.E. to serve as a supernormal asset, fighting vampires and other monsters. She is tempted by the offer of a pardon for her crimes almost as much for the chance to kill things, which she admits to enjoying.[28]
After the events of "DC Rebirth," Giganta appeared alongside several other villains as they battled the Justice League.[29]
Later, Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor tracked Giganta down to a Los Angeles museum. Giganta had been stealing mystical artifacts for unknown reasons. Wonder Woman managed to defeat the giantess. She was then taken into custody.[30] When Steve Trevor interrogated Giganta in Belle Reve alongside Amanda Waller, he discovered that Giganta had been recruited by Darkseid to steal the artifacts. She told Steve Trevor where to find the remaining artifacts. She stated that she, Steve, and Wonder Woman have had a long history together.[31]
Giganta was then recruited by Amanda Waller into Task Force XL in order to capture the powerful creature known as Damage. During the battle, Giganta revealed that she would love to study Damage's physiology. However, Damage burst through Giganta's hand, leaving her to bandage herself while the rest of the team battled the creature.[32]
In the "Watchmen" sequel "Doomsday Clock," Giganta is among the villains that attend the underground meeting held by Riddler that talks about the Superman Theory. When Comedian crashes the meeting, Giganta attacks him as the villains start to scatter.[33] Later on, she takes part in the attack led by Black Adam against the United Nations, where she is beaten back by Wonder Woman.[34] Giganta was with Black Adam's group when the People's Heroes, the Outsiders, and the Doomed tried to get to Superman and gets into an all-out battle with them until it is broken up when Doctor Manhattan undoes the experiment that erased the Justice Society of America and the Legion of Super-Heroes.[35]

The Hush kiss is probably the most iconic moment for Bruce and Selina is there any other moment you would put in that category of defining the couple as they are today?
There are a few moments that I always think about when I think about what makes Bruce and Selina a great couple. I’m sure these aren’t anything you haven’t seen before, but here goes.
I love the Hush rooftop kiss as much as anyone, but I think an even more important moment from that book is when Bruce reveals his identity to Selina.
Tumblr media
A lot of people have figured out Batman’s identity over the years, but only a small few have had the privilege of having him share his identity.Catwoman didn’t ask Batman to reveal his identity to her and he wasn’t compelled to tell by extenuating circumstances. He made this choice on his own because he loved her and trusted her and wanted their relationship to work out. This is Batman’s most guarded secret, so him choosing to share that with her is a very intimate moment. Selina then spent nearly 10 more years proving that she could be trusted with his secret. It really was the catalyst for probably the best, albeit extremely gradual, era for Bruce and Selina’s relationship development.
Tumblr media
In the very first issue of Catwoman’s third series a newly reformed Catwoman runs into Batman, and Batman tells Catwoman that despite everything she has done in the past he believes that she’s a good person. I think this is a very crucial moment because people tend to see the worst in Catwoman and believe that she’s nothing more than a thief and a criminal, least of all a hero, and Selina doesn’t always believe that she’s a good person. Batman believing in Catwoman imparts Catwoman’s own belief in herself. His faith in her inspires her to do good.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Catwoman (v3) #19 Catwoman was having trouble coping with a trauma and starts falling back into old habits. Instead of getting mad at her, Batman empathizes. Understanding the burden and guilt that comes along with hero work is what separates the wheat from the chaff in Batman and Catwoman’s relationship. It’s something truly unique that they can both identify with each other, and they use that understanding to support each other. I also think it’s important for people to see that Batman also provides Catwoman with emotional support when she needs it, and I don’t think people really see that side of him.
Tumblr media
Speaking of providing each other with emotional support; (even though it’s an AU) Injustice: Gods Among us Year One. Selina goes to comfort Bruce after Dick is killed. This not only shows that, once again, Bruce and Selina are there for each other in their times of need. Also, it shows how Selina cares about Bruce’s human side, and wants to give him space to be vulnerable when he needs to be.
Tumblr media
Another entry from Catwoman’s third series; Catwoman (v3) #32. I think if you read the proceeding arc and see how dire the circumstance surrounding it were, you’ll fully come to appreciate this moment. The Cliff’s Notes version is that Catwoman had been very seriously injured by Zeiss and then vanished. She eventually comes back to Gotham and when she does, she just wants to go out with Bruce and “be normal for once.”
I think this important for two reasons. Firstly, it shows that even when Bruce and Selina want to be normal, whatever that means to them, they want to do it with each other. A lot of people are under the belief that Catwoman is only attracted to Batman and vice versa, and that they don’t care about the person under the mask. This shows how wrong that perception is. There’s countless Batman media where Bruce and/or Selina envision having a regular life where they’re married to each other.
Secondly, we get this super tender and very rare moment of Bruce being very vulnerable and telling Selina how he feels about her. I think Batman believes that he is so broken and genuinely sees no life for him beyond grief and sacrifice, but Selina gives him hope for a better and happier future.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Heart of Hush’s reputation has really changed over years, because of its treatment of Selina. I think the criticisms are valid, but I’m still going to put this moment here just because life is nothing but paradoxical it was a very, very long time coming.
Batman declared his love for Catwoman for the first time back in the 80s under different, yet similar circumstances. This moment edges that one out, in my opinion, because I think this moment was the accumulation of years of relationship building that many, many writers contributed to make so meaningful. Also, it’s still a remarkably exceptional moment of Bruce being open about his feelings and what Selina means to him.

[ Catch Me ]
AU: batman!jaehyun, tomcat!taeyong | Pairing: character x reader | Warnings: some language, shoddy characterization, minor dom/sub themes, references to smut | Rating: 17+ | Word Count: 2.2k
Based off of the dynamic Batman and Catwoman have both in Arkhamverse and the New 52, kinda botched and this took a direction that I wasn’t planning but whatevs.
Tumblr media
“You could’ve used the door you know.”
The intruder bolted upright, his foot catching on the window ledge, tripping before catching himself.
“Sorry Cat, old habit.” He ruffled his hair, unable to meet the man’s eyes who was leaned up against the door frame, arms crossed over his Kiss the Chef apron.
He let him off with a shake of his head. “Oh no I’m flattered. It’s not every day someone gets to see Gotham’s Prince climbing through their window. You remind me of the bad boy parents warn their kids about,” he said. His smile faltered as his gaze fell behind Jaehyun to the alarm system, wires shot and lifeless, swaying from the window sill.
The billionaire at least had the decency to look ashamed when his eyes trailed to see what he was focused on. “I’ll buy you another one,” he promised. He let out a noise of affirmation as he pivoted, leading the guilty party into his dining room, where an assortment of dishes laid on a table set for two.
“You cooked.”
“Well, last time when we were at yours you nearly burned down the whole manor attempting to make carbonara. I decided to save you from Alfred’s wrath and take care of the cuisine this time. Plus I wanted to.” He paused while filling up their wine glasses, overcome with a fondness and sincerity that nearly suffocated him with its implications. ”You’re welcome.”
Their eyes met and suddenly it was still. The usual chatter of car horns and wailing sirens that blasted through all hours of the day quieted to soft whispers. Acid bubbled and ate away at their flesh to reveal their bare bones but they loved the burn of it as they were able to see each other’s hearts and underlying scars. Both extremely fucked up inside.
That brought them some semblance of peace. They were able to understand why the other had scars marring their skin; why the other would wake up in a cold sweat, hands twisting the sheets; why they both had to become something that made their innocence cower and tremble in fear, all in the name of survival. With each other they could breathe a little easier even with Gotham’s vices smothering them.
“Cat?”
“Yes, Bat?”
“I—.”
“I know. I love you too”
Batman grabbed the goon’s neck and slammed him to the ground, the move providing leeway for Tomcat to catapult off his back and scissor kick another.
With the last of the thugs down and Two Face knocked out and handcuffed they were able to finally catch their breath. The thief languidly stretched out his already sore muscles but the Bat remained tensed, primed for a fight.
“What’s got you brooding, B-man? Get your spandex in a twist?”
“What are you doing here, Taeyong?” he asked.
The man’s peach lips pouted, “You know Bat for such a big dark secretive vigilante you sure do drop the aliases quick. I thought you liked to keep things professional dur—”
“Why are you here?” The words were made more malicious by the voice scrambler, warped and demonic, he was using the same voice he did to intimidate criminals. The feline hissed.
“Easy now. So maybe I popped in for a quick steal. I didn’t know Two Face and his lackeys would show up, but I could’ve handled it on my own.“ The vigilante didn’t like that answer.
“I know you can handle yourself, but this is about you being here, causing trouble. All the thefts! The fights! Your idiotic risk taking!” The demonic barking escalated into a frightening crescendo but the cat kept coy.
“How long do you think we can keep this up before I actually have to do something about your proclivity for burglary and not just stand by like an idiot?”
“Honestly I thought the sex would buy me some leniency,” the feline fatale admitted. “But fine you win! Take my prize that I worked so hard to steal,” he pouted, pulling out the satchel of jewels.
“It’s not that simple, Cat. If I make exceptions for you where does it end? I’m supposed to fight injustice, not share a bed with it.”
Cat narrowed his eyes. “I’m not gonna quit if that’s what you’re implying. And I’ve known you long enough now that you’re not just gonna drop me either. You care about me too much to let me fall.”
A beat.
“That’s why this has to end.”
Oh. He was serious.
“No! You don’t get to do that! If you think I’m gonna let you—“
An explosion set off, Tomcat being blinded by shutters of light, a ringing in his sensitive ears.
He hacked, waving away the plumes of fog, vision hazy. “Fucking smoke bombs. That angsty bastard. He’ll be back.”
He wasn’t.
Even with Cat’s weekly break-ins having dwindled down to zero and after being off the G.C.P.D’s radar for some time now, his good behavior still didn’t earn him any gold stars. Pictures he had in his head of Batman crawling back to him in that delicious little black number were far from the reality.
If he wanted the Bat’s attention he had to quit playing and do something big. Grab his attention. Stealing the city’s single most prized diamonds seemed like the logical thing to do.
It was truly laughable just how easy it was to slip into Gotham Jewelers undetected. After multiple robberies from his truly over the years, Taeyong couldn’t help but wonder why they never bothered to up the security. His lithe body easily sailed through the wires, not even a single scratch on him; claws cutting a perfect circle into the glass case like ribbon and snatching the necklace before she was slinking away. Right before he grappled up the ceiling grate he made sure to trip the alarm. The Bat would be there in minutes.
Opening the panel that led to the rooftop, the cat burglar easily jumped out before he actually took some time to inspect his steal. Wrapped around his neck, neon lights bounced off the glimmering diamonds as he admired himself in a puddle that had formed earlier in the day’s gloomy showers. The choker, which consisted of hundreds of intricately beaded diamonds, cost a pretty penny, but he couldn’t have given less of a shit about the price tag when her person of interest would be arriving in 3….2…..
“Thieving again, Tomcat?”
Like clockwork.
He couldn’t help the scoff that fell from his lips at his professional persona bullshit. He turned around, seeing Jaehyun’s form for the first time in awhile, some part of him wanting to run and cling to him, the other wanting to rip him to shreds. He decided on the latter. Consider it payback. “Breakups tend to make people fall back into old habits. You should know why I’m doing this more than anyone, Jaehyun.”
“I’m not here to play around, Cat. Hand over the necklace before I turn you in.” All he got in response was a raise of the burglar’s eyebrows.
“Turn me in? Oh no, you can’t do that. If I’m locked up then who's gonna play our little game of chase,” he questioned.
Let’s see,” Taeyong listed on his fingers,” Joker is in Arkham, probably running himself up the walls, Riddler is doing…Well, whatever it is Doyoungie does with his puzzles. Your little “Super Friends” are off saving the day somewhere, so sad for you, you’re out of a playmate. But put me in a cage, if that’s what you truly want. My bet is you’re just trying to get me in handcuffs again...” he trailed off, twirling his whip like a tail.
Batman visibly stiffened at the insinuation, and Tomcat purred. He’d be lying if he said a small part of him wasn’t thoroughly enjoying making this little birdy squirm. Riled up Jaehyun was always better in bed.
“Aw what’s the matter, has the reminder of our previous moonlight trysts got you hot under the cowl. We could have fun just like we used to, all you have to do is say yes.” He was a breath away from him now, daringly scraping his claws up the proud insignia splayed across the Bat’s chest.
Before he could react, a gloved hand wrapped around Cat’s neck and his back met the brick wall with a dull thud.
“What I want is the diamonds. I’m not going to ask again, kitten.”
A gasp escaped from Tomcat’s throat, roses blooming on the his cheeks at their position. God, his stubbornness was pretty fucking annoying when it was being used against him.
Cattish eyes slanted at the challenge, a growl rumbling deep within him. His razored claws didn’t penetrate the titanium tri-weave breastplate, but they still provided enough grip for him to swat Jaehyun away and glide out from under his grip. This was taking too long.
“You’ve held out longer than I thought you would. Newsflash world’s greatest detective! You’re too hard headed to see what‘s going on. I know you Jaehyun.“ Knees bent, him body coiled.
I know there’s something you want more.”
The cat pounced, paws ripping off the dark knight’s cowl and capturing his midnight lover’s lips. Provoked, Jaehyun pulled him closer by the scruff of his neck, their passionate dance of swiping tongues and nipping teeth accompanied by a symphony of pleasured groans and breathy sighs.
Slowed down to a tender waltz, the tensed crime fighter’s form went lax at the change of pace, Cat pampering him with soft pecks and kitten licks. Each note that left his mouth struck another chord within Jaehyun’s heart.
“You make it so hard to resist you,” the billionaire acquiesced.
Biting Jaehyun’s bottom lip to cause a little more mischief, the reformed thief stepped back to readjust his knight’s mask. “That’s why you love me,” he purred, smoothing his claws over Jaehyun’s cheek bones before backtracking to the edge of the roof.
“Hey pretty boy—“ Cat turned, arms spread above his head, a performer taking center stage lit up by neon lights.
“Catch me!”
Then he swandived.
Tomcat’s life had slowed down a lot since he quit the burglar business. His old schedule of dropping into banks and vaults was now exclusive to plundering criminal elite’s hideouts, which was allowed as long as she donated most of it. It earned him a reputation for being a backstabber and a traitor to his kind in the underground but every half-brain thug knew thieves were loyal to no one.
Except maybe this one to the Knight.
After a long day teaching step combinations to a bunch of chaotic and rowdy kids in his newly opened dance studio (with money earned from a cash grab from Penguin’s vault) she just wanted to curl up on the couch and watch cartoons— but nothing in his life was ever that fucking simple.
Some stupid idiot decided to break in. How ironic.
He had yet to take off his fur coat when an object in his periphery caught his gaze, the hairs on the back of his neck called to attention, eyes forming into slits. Laid poised on his four poster bed was a satin box that looked extremely out of place.
The last “gift” that was left for Tomcat on his bed sprayed chloroform in his face and she woke up dangling over a vat of acid in Ace Chemicals as bait. Not his proudest moment, but he still got a good view of the Bat’s muscles flexing when he was knocking out the Joker’s goons. If curiosity killed the cat he was sure Jaehyun would find it amusing that it was his spandex covered ass on his mind before he went out.
With caution, he raised the box up to his ear, not hearing any ticking sounds he gave it a tiny whiff and a lick, noting the absence of any chemical substance. Just to be safe, he angled his face away from the lid as he slid it off to avoid any undesirable repeat occurrences.
Nestled in the crushed velvet interior was a very familiar diamond choker, under it a receipt of purchase which he gaped at the price before crumpling it and carelessly tossing somewhere. There was a small card attached, immediately recognizing the elegant penmanship the faintest kiss of his fingertips running over the writing.
Dinner, same time as last. I look forward to seeing you in this. -J
Clasping the adornment around his neck, Cat fell back onto the sheets with a bubbly laugh, holding the card to his thrumming heart. More champagne giggles tumbled from his lips at the acknowledgement that snagging Jaehyun was her grandest heist he’d ever pulled off, his pièce de résistance complete with dimples and a savior complex. Just then he noticed his curtains fluttering, swaying from the wind entering through the cracked open window. The high-tech alarm system that must’ve cost a mini fortune sitting deactivated. He huffed, a fond grin on her porcelain features.
“Rich bastard, he owes me another one.”
Looks like the cat got the cream and gets to eat it too.

Why do you love batcat do much ( i adore them) but love to know why others love them too :)
Glad you asked!
Let’s start with the fact that thIS was their first introduction to each other
Tumblr media
Haha, I didn’t start with the detective comics, but I have loved them since I was a kid. I’ve loved Batman since I was a kid, I mean, he was my introduction into dc comics. Just like Spider-Man was my intro into marvel!
My Batman journey started with the cartoons. Btas, The Batman, brave and the bold, justice league ect
And I really loved Batman. You see, it’s the relationships that Bruce has that make him an interesting character. The whole ‘I am the night, and all criminals will fear me’ thing is cool, but if that’s all Bruce is allowed to be, it get’s old and repetitive.
Bruce’s relationships with his kids show the human and parental side to him. He has a hard time showing it, some of that comes down to his mental illness, but if you read batfamily stuff, you know that Bruce loves his kids.
Tumblr media
Bruce also pretends to be a ladies man to keep up the image of “Playboy billionaire”. but it’s pretend. He pretends to be Bruce Wayne, because the real him, is Batman. Bruce is the character, Batman is the reality.
So where does Selina fit into this sad man’s life?
Bruce has always had a soft spot for her.
“Oh Catwoman is stealing diamonds again?”
Tumblr media
And I think Selina saw him at first as a challenge. Like, stealing his heart was her biggest heist of all. (She steals his heart long before she realizes though.)
Batman wants to help her, and she wants to help him. There are so many versions of Selina that beg Bruce to hang up the mask and start a new life with her. Dark Knight Rise is a version where he listens…and gets a happily ever after.
Tumblr media
Bruce sees the light in Selina, where she tends to only see the dark in herself. And vice versa.
Lots of people look at Batman and see just the embodiment of fear. Selina sees the human in him. She sees the sad, scared little boy hidden deep inside the stoic man.
And I think he clings to that, because she gets him.
Tumblr media
You wouldn’t think that a man as unstable as Bruce and a woman so afraid of commitment would ever be able to have a happily ever after together.
But they work so well.
Selina doesn’t take his crap, she doesn’t bend to anyone’s schedule. She herself has a hard exterior, she likes to pretend she dosn’t care one way or another.
But she does care. A lot.
Tumblr media
And she loves Bruce. Bruce is the only one she considers having a normal life with.
And as for Bruce? Every time he imagines a happy ending for himself/gets one, it’s with her.

injustice
Selina brings out the best in Bruce, in a way that others just can’t. She helps him be more than the batman.
He can be real with her. Honest, affectionate, soft, weak, vulnerable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
God that last one makes me cry
Anyway, Bruce being vulnerable, to me, is more interesting than “Stoic badass who only knows pain”
Married/happy superheros are just more interesting and that’s facts!
Not only are they a beautiful couple, but they make great partners as well. I mean, just go check out telltales’s batman game.
Bruce Wayne loves Selina Kyle with his whole entire heart and she loves him back.
I love them both sepratly, and I love them even more together.
Selina brings out a fun, sexy, happy side to Bruce. They make each other so happy, not to mention how healthy Selina is for him.
Tumblr media
I adore them, they have an iconic 78 years of will they wont they. And I will fight Tom King myself to let them be happy.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
