I’m really fond of the idea of Zuko being a very competent bureaucrat. Is he an amazing fire bender by literally anyone other than the royal family’s standards? Hell yeah! But he’s also got an incredible head for facts and figures and his calligraphy is On Point and he can read really really fast so he’s just really good at paperwork.
And so one day Zuko gets fed up with Azula taunting him about being Fire Lord as soon as she escapes that he’s just like fine. And he dumps copies of rice tax allocations and legal petitions and a long list of candidates for a new Minister of Health and funding requests from the Minister of Education and the Minister of Agriculture and the Minister of Culture (all of whom he’s planning on firing but he gives them to her just to see what she does) and he says okay. Be the Fire Lord. Those need to be done by the end of the week. I’ll bring the rest down tomorrow.
And Azula’s beyond competent okay? She could do all of this and more. So she looks through everything, makes a few modifications, some of which Zuko even takes up because his little sister is a genius, but damn if it isn’t boring as hell. Sometimes when Zuko comes by she’s looking over a budget allocation for the Ministry of Agriculture and casually says, oh we had to arrest Minister Yu because he tried to assassinate me. His replacement gave us a new budget. And Azula’s eye twitches as she crumples up the parchment she was holding and thrusts her hand out to receive the new budget allocation form. She sets it on fire and pretends it’s the traitor. Nobody should get to kill her brother except for her.
And by Agni Azula knows what he’s doing because between the two of them there was one that actually enjoyed doing homework and one that would rather be outside practicing forms. But Azula Will Be Fire Lord mark her words. Azula was the politically savvy one. Azula was the one who knew how to maneuver all the pieces into place.
Azula wanted to burn all the paperwork, even if that was as good as admitting defeat.
She lasts until Zuko peers into her cell to comment on the fact that she couldn’t set a meeting with the cabinet on the day of the summer solstice without losing the support of the Sage’s (who were invaluable in maintaining the dynasty) that Azula loses it. She sets the paperwork on fire. Zuko opens the door to her cell and she stomps out.
Zuko is the Fire Lord, and the Lightning Princess stands at his side. Pointedly not doing paperwork.

please read this if you don’t support the fucking genocide
there are palestinian kids who should be in school, getting ready for a new semester. they should be procrastinating their homework, texting their friends. they should get to go home when they feel unsafe or upset.
instead, the school year was suspended on november 6th. over 200 schools have been bombed. more than 7,870 children have been killed. kids do not have a safe place. anywhere. their homes are being destroyed and their schools are being destroyed and the places they used to hang out at and eat at and shop at and pray at and mourn at and live at are actively being destroyed
people of palestine, of all ages, should be living their lives. they should be having normal experiences. they should be going to the movies or redecorating their rooms or celebrating birthdays or scrolling their phones for no reason. but they’re not. they’re not allowed to have the comfort of mindless human joy without constant threat and fear and bloodshed, and it is the fault of israel, the united states, and other fucked corrupt governments.
there have been close to 20,000 palestinian deaths, almost 2.2 million people displaced, and an estimated half of those people face starvation.
we need to fucking do something. the fact that the US still refuses to support a ceasefire is disgusting and evil. the claim that all anti-israeli statements are based in antisemitism is hurting both the people of palestine and jewish people worldwide.
here’s some things you can do:
-donate if you can or ask someone you know to donate
-sign a petition to demand a ceasefire
-fill out a form to email your representative. then do it again. then do it again. then do it again.
-boycott and avoid all companies on this list that you can (especially now that the holidays are rolling around: buy from independent stores, non-big name brands)
-spam text your friends and family with this post and these links
-reblog to spread awareness, interact with other posts that give instructions for direct action, follow palestinian voices
-instead of feeling guilt or denying yourself personal happiness, do all you can to make a difference. it doesn’t matter if you don’t have money to donate or if you’re a minor. you can always contact representatives or sign petitions
DO NOT LET THE GENOCIDE CONTINUE.

Hiii love ur account! Idk if I can request cause it says it’s closed, so sorry if I’m wrong!
Can I please request a yandere who looks very dominant; tall and buff with muscles. Literally everyone is scared of him because of how frightening he looks. Everyone other than Reader: Yandere is actually scared of reader and is very submissive around them. He actively seeks Reader’s approval and will do anything for her. Kind of like a guard dog? He’s really just a big puppy who craves Readers affection. Thank youuuu
Awww I love this idea!! Let's name him... Austyn, idk it just fits lol. I couldn't think of what age to make him, so I said screw it and put yall in high-school because that's the easiest
Also I know you requested this months ago, and everyone else requested their things months ago, guys I've been so tired recently, I'm so sorry I haven't been able to write what you've been wanting me to. I'm so sorry if you're still waiting on your request, and I'm hoping I'll get more chances to write soon. Thank you for your patience :)
Warnings: Yandere (obv), clingy and obsessive behavior, a little more than just mentions of murder, slight mentions of rape (not to reader or anything i just noticed it was brought up so I figured I'd put it in just incase), reader gets forcefully drugged, kidnapping
This fic is not meant to romanticize unhealthy and toxic relationships, it's hot af in fanfictions but is never ok irl

A huge man towers over you, his shadow engulfing your entire figure, his huge muscles and rough exterior making him appear as if he could kill. He stares down at your petite and fragile body in an intimidating manner as you jolt up in a sitting position. Clutching the desk beneath your upper body, you recognize him almost immediately.
"Where am I?! What do you want?!" You scream dramatically, almost tipping backwards in your chair.
"You fell asleep in class." His eyes narrow. "I had to poke you a bunch so you would wake up. The bell just rang, its lunch time." Your whole face burns a cherry color.
"Um- thanks..." Your eyes wander anywhere but his face. The corners of his mouth ever so slighty elevate as he leans on your desk.
"Would you like to eat lunch together?" He tilts his head slightly in an almost cute way. Your brows furrow in confusion, but nod regardless out of pure fear. He could probably kill you in one hit. No, simply him blowing on you would be enough to knock you 8 miles. You pack your school supplies and walk to your locker, Austyn almost breathing down your back as he watches you grab your stuff.
Entering the cafeteria, you both take a seat in one of the only spots left in the overcrowded area, its a bit shocking when kids start scooting away from you both, even the kids across from you want nothing to do with your new 'friend'. Or thats at least what you hope he wants with you...
Your prayers were answered, but in the worst way possible. It's almost physically painful watching Austyn attempt to make conversation with you. Stuttering over every second word, obviously embarrassed and anxious, fumbling with his hands. It was... cute. You'd never thought he would be like this while talking to him, you've seen him be rude and cold to everyone, maybe he's just shy and comes off as rude? Guess you'll find out. You, having not as many friends as you'd like to have, appreciate the attention from him regardless. But he desperately needed help with this whole social thing, so you give him a hand.
"If you're not busy, maybe you could help me with homework after we finish eating?" You smile, hoping he's not busy before you die of embarrassment. Thankfully, he nods, and the two of you finish your meal in silence.
You were hoping he'd be a little more outgoing and not as awkward in the library, but boy were you wrong. More stuttering, more avoidance of eye contact, more hand fidgeting. He wasnt even helping, just sitting there and watching you, almost too intently. You almost scream of joy when your best and only friend, Abby, joins you.
"Hi!" She beams excitedly, taking a seat next to you, "need help?"
"You're my savior!" You giggle, hugging her. Austyns aura immediately chances from a shy puppy to one that could kill. He glares daggers into Abby as she speaks a bit too friendly to you, gets a little too close to you, helps you instead of him. He knows he needs to up his game, but your stupid friend might ruin his chances.
Abby was your friend since elementary school, you've never been great at giving anyone a smile, but she always brings out your biggest one. She's helped you through so much, you owe her your life!
The rest of lunch Austyn stays silent and in the background, you assume he's shy... God, you hope that he was not hurt. You continued the rest of your classes like normal, overjoyed when the day comes to an end.
You and Abby walk home together, teasing and laughing with eachother. Austyn trails behind you both, not talking too much. Neither of you know where Austyn lives, and forget to ask. They drop you off at your house, and Abby lives just across the street so you guess Austyn walks her home. The long between your houses and the school is 30 minutes. You could take the bus, and you do in the mornings, but the walk is too beautiful to miss, so fun laughing with your best friend through the sunset in the city, too fun running through the long field of grass, racing down the streets, seeing who can reach your house the fastest, rubbing it in your face as you both either collapse on your porch or Abby goes home. Sometimes, you dance outside together, sharing secrets, giggling over whatever crush the other one has... Abbys friends with almost everyone, but the two of you are inseparable. Tonight though, you only talked with Abby, not wanting to make Austyn feel left out, and not wanting to seem awkward infront of your new friend. You run inside, jumping into your bed, thinking Austyn is just a little cute. Maybe a tiny crush? You don't think on it too much, as you pass out.
The next day, Austyn starts hanging out with you and Abby, which neither of you mind. He's a bit less shy and a bit more friendly. He's in your homeroom, science, and math class, so you sat next to him in all of those. You guys talked and exchanged answers from time to time, overall getting along very well. You guys hang out at lunch, and sure, you give a slight bit more attention to Abby, but thats it, and overall, the three of you get along like three peas in a pod. The next four days go similarly, your crush for him grows.
One lunch time the three of you meet up, eat, and head to the library. You weren't sure what was wrong, but Austyn didn't seem to be a huge fan of Abby, only hanging out and attempting to make conversation with you, almost cutting Abby out. You, of course, refuse to let that happen, and keep adding your friend the the conversation. You and Abby exchange a confused look, Austyn normally loves you and Abby.
After school the same day, you run over to Abbys locker, waiting for her to grab her stuff. You wait for 5 minutes... 10 minutes... 20 minutes... she doesn't show up. Thinking it's a bit strange, you still wait, assuming she was held back in class or something, as the teachers often like to praise her work or offer her opportunities for an upcoming math competition or something. She appears, after awhile, running towards you. The two of you begin to walk home together. When you ask her what she was doing, she awkwardly dodges the question. You leave her alone about it.
The next day when you arrive at school, Abby still didn't show up. How strange, you think to yourself. Abby hasn't missed a single day this year, not even when she was sick, you have no clue how she does it. Straight As, no days missed, friends with everyone she talks to, yet she's not here. You couldn't help but feel a pit in your stomach, not wanting to assume the worst. You would've thought she'd at least text you right? The more you thought about it the worse it got. What if she was raped by a creepy teacher?? What if she was kidnapped?! Maybe she got a deadly sickness and has three days to live! There's so many possibilities you weren't sure, what if-
"Hey!" Your new 'friend' from yesterday appears before you, looking like he's accomplished something great.
"Hi...?" You look up at him, calming yourself immediately. You knew you shouldn't overthink this, she probably just missed her bus or something. Austyn obviously picks up on your torn face as he asks,
"Hey, are you ok? You look offput..." he does his signature, puppy-like head tilt. you quickly nod your head, laughing to yourself silently of the stupidity of your overdramatic thoughts. You weren't normally so anxious, this over worried about your friend not being at school immediately, but for some reason, your gut was screaming at you that something bad happened. And then... The overwhelming feeling to run hits you. Looking at Austyns smile fills you with a strange sense of dread. White noise echos in your ears.
"Woah, woah, calm down!" He panics, "Hey what happened? You look like you've seen a ghost!" Hes acting way too friendly today... you shake your head.
"I-I don't know what's wrong with me today? I guess it's just a weird day....?" Austyn rushes to wipe some tears you didn't notice were were falling from your eyes.
"Hey, you don't have to talk about it...." he sighs "I don't know what happened, but stop worrying."
Abby was murdered.
You don't know how you know, last night was such a haze... what happened...? Pictures of her dead body flash in your mind, the killer standing there with a knife and sadistic smile. You swear it was a dream... you remember beginning your walk home, but can't remember anything passed the midway point, not even what you did last night, did you even eat dinner? You didn't wear pajamas last night, you assumed you were just tired when you woke up. But did you really see Abbys murder or is this just the most dramatic you've ever been on a Wensday morning?
You continued your day like normal, the sinking feeling never leaving you. Austyn was acting strange, outgoing and sweet to you. And yet his face was making you want to throw up for some reason... to go as far as to flee the country. Well, maybe not that far, but you certainly didn't want him near you for some reason.
The end of the days comes, and your dumbass told Austyn he could walk you home. It was probably fine, you'd go to sleep tonight and tomorrow everything would be normal, Abby would be at school and Austyn wouldn't be as creepy to you. You're sure of it.
You wait for him near the entrance of the school, and of course, when he comes out, he's almost stumbling over his own feet to run towards you.
"Hey!" He gives a huge innocent smile as he begins walking with you, clutching the arms of his backpack in a shy manner. You smile up at him, not sure if it's a real smile or not. No words are exchanged as you both watch little cracks of the sunset through all the large buildings of the city. It wasn't cold, but it definitely wasn't hot, the perfect night for a first kiss. Stars beginning to appear as you make your way out of downtown, you've only been walking for 15 minutes... almost the midway point... you have a much better view of the now gone sun, there's still a bit of red. There's no one around, it's a gorgeous night, you're walking home with a guy... everything should be perfect, it should be romantic. You recognize this, Deja vu, but different.... memories from what you think to be the dream, or a cruel reality you weren't sure yet start to appear. Abbys lifeless body in the long grass, the moonlight to the killers back, you know who it was, but you can't remember.... all these events took place just upahead and-
It wasn't a dream.
Blood stains lay in the grass and you point to Austyn, not in control of your body or the words that spill from your mouth, or the tears that spill from your mouth, or the puke that's about to spill from your mouth.
"You did this... didn't you...?"
Austyns eyes darken, "and you remember. I knew the sedatives wouldn't work as well as I wanted them to..." he sighs "I did this for you, don't you see?! I killed her for you. I've loved you for so long and you've never even looked at me. So I stalked you, learned about you, you're so cute yknow! You never laughed the same way around me as you did with Abby, ramble to me as you did with her.... So now our problem is gone, and we can be the cutest couple!" He spits delusionally. You back away from him, the moon to his back, the same spot as last night. He grabs your wrist harshly, overpowering you easily.
"You can't run darling, now let's go to my house!" He beams, "I'll even bring you home the head of someone you don't like!" You thrash around, screaming for help, but Austyn just giggles and hugs you to him, holding one hand around your arms and torso and the other over your mouth. "Shhhhh, it'll be ok!" He puts a chloroform filled cloth to your mouth, and everything goes dark.

warnings: brief mention of regulus wanting to kill himself in the first paragraph, fighting, tell me if i missed something
Regulus wants to bash his face on the table until he reaches death. In front of him sits four unfinished assignments in potions. Regulus thinks, maybe, if he gets up and walks around a little, he'll feel more motivated to work. So, he packs up all his quills and homework and walks towards the door.
But at this moment, he doesn't move. He made it this far, but his legs won't move anymore. His eyes caught on someone, someone with curly brown hair, tanned skin, glasses, and the most beautiful smile he has ever seen in his life. James. James wouldn't normally make his breath hitch, no, normally Regulus would pretend not to notice James. Pretend that they weren't dating for almost a year, he'd pretend that it didn't hurt as much as it did when he inevitably chose her. Her. The girl sitting next to him as of now. Her red hair pulled back into a messy ponytail, her skin glowing. Who couldn't glow sitting next to the sun?
He's staring. James is looking at Regulus. Regulus quickly turns away, back to his table. Why was he even leaving in the first place? He doesn't want to know anymore, he wants to crawl up in Sirius' room and cry. He wants Remus to sit on the common room couch, with Regulus' feet in his lap, and he wants him to read. He wants Lily to go back to hating James, he wants her back with Mary. He wishes he wasn't here. He wishes he wasn't here especially when he feels someone come up behind him and pull one of his curls. He wants to be gone when that beautiful someone sits next to him, brushing through Regulus hair with their fingers. He almost forgets all of that, he almost curls into his touch, almost crawls into his lap and hugs him.
Then Regulus snaps out of it, and swats his hand away. "What do you want, Potter?" Regulus scowls at the table as if it did something to him.
"You cut your hair." James smiles, watching every emotion pass Regulus' face. Sadness, anger, emptiness.
"Astute observation, now can I get back to my homework." Regulus motions to his bag.
"I missed you being mean to me." Regulus nearly breaks down there.
"Leave, Potter. Your girlfriend is over there."
"Potter?" James' eyes flash with something Regulus cannot understand.
"That is your last name, is it not? Or did you take hers?" James' eyebrows knit tightly together, and he places a hand on Regulus' shoulder.
"We aren't together, Reg. How could we be, when you are right here?" Regulus almost laughs.
"Well, I'm not leaving. You guys can go off somewhere else to snog." Regulus stands up, but James follows closely behind. He grabs Regulus' forearm and tugs him closer.
"Regulus, I love you. I have always loved you, I never wanted Lily."
"That is such bullshit! You are with her right now!"
"Yeah because I can't be with you! It's clear you don't want me." James drops his hands away from Regulus, one of them runs through his hair, the other pushes up his golden glasses.
"I don't want you? You are the only person who I've ever been with James! I haven't been with anyone else in the past 6 months because of you! You've ruined dating for me, because now I just feel like a filthy bedwarmer. So there. Blame it all on me, but it was not my fault we broke up. Go off and cry to Lily." Regulus leaves the library in tears as he finds his way off to his brothers room. He knocks loudly on the door the moment he gets there, which is quickly answered by his elder brother, who immediately ushers him inside.
"What did he say, mon petit?" Sirius strokes Regulus' hair out of his face.
"He said it was clear that I don't want to be with him." Regulus rubs his eyes until they burn.
"Well, that's not true is it, darling?"
"Non." Regulus sees Remus hiding behind his curtain, "Come out, Wolfy." Remus snickers, he knows Regulus means no ill intent from the nickname. He crawls out of his sheets and sits next to Sirius.
"What's wrong, Reg?"
"I miss him, guys. I don't want to, but I do. I miss him even when he came back so many hours late, I miss him crawling into bed with me and kissing my cheek. I miss leaving him notes when I left. I miss him." Regulus can't stop the tears falling down his face. Sirius frown and continues to stroke his hair.
"Talk to him, babe. He can't know how you feel unless you talk to him. He loves you, he doesn't know how to tell you."
"That's just it Sirius, he told me he misses me, and that he loves me." James' words seem to echo through Regulus' mind.
"How about I go grab him, and you two can talk. How does that sound?" Regulus reluctantly nods. "Go up to his dorm, love. We'll send him up."
When Regulus enters the dorm, its like deja vu, but much messier. Regulus looks around the room, seeing everything that was there before. Except one thing. Regulus' beanie rests on James' pillow, or rather the one that belonged to Regulus all of those months ago.
James walks into his dorm no more than 5 minutes later, his glasses falling down the bridge of his nose, and his face flushed red. "Hi, Reg." He says, out of breath, and Regulus nearly laughs.
"Hi, James. Did you run here?"
"I'm so sorry, Reg, I'm sorry." James says, walking forward and taking Regulus' hand in his.
"I wanna know why you always were so late home, James." Regulus leads James to the table, tightening his grip around James' hand.
"To be completely honest with you, Regulus, I don't remember," James shakes his head, "All I know is I regretted it, and still do. I regret not spending those hours with you. Playing chess, reading a book. Well, you reading a book, me watching you. I regret not talking to you, and I love you. And I loved you. Please, Reg, give me another chance." James grabs Regulus' other hand as well, swiping his thumb back and forth.
"Don't beg, James. I wish you could've told me sooner, I would've fell back in your arms." Regulus smiles softly at James.
"I'm sorry, Regulus. I'm sorry for fighting with you in the library too, I just didn't know what to say. You aren't just a bedwarmer to me, or anyone, Reg. You are so much more than that. You are beautiful and sarcastic. You are so smart and talented. I haven't been able to function without you, Reg."
"Shush, James, I wanna forget about it. Is that okay with you?"
"Yes."
"Good," Regulus leans across the small table and presses his lips to James' soft ones, letting go of his hand and putting it in his hair. "I love you too."
So, James never is late again, in fact, he makes sure he's always at least 5 minutes early.

my real fake boyfriend.
megumi fushiguro x fem.reader
notes/warnings: college au; mentions of a mean girl oc; unedited
your lies were quickly catching up with you, and you weren't sure how to fix it now.
let's go back to the beginning, shall we?
you were a young college student, just barely 18 as you started attending the university of your dreams. you were in the midst of finding out what your career path would be. due to your studious nature and willingness to learn, you often came out of your classes with spectacular grades.
and this trait of yours didn't go unnoticed by hana saeko.
hana was one you would label as your typical popular girl. she had clear grey eyes and flowing auburn locks of hair that reached down to the nape of her back. her petite form was always decorated from head to toe in the latest fashion as her beauty was enough to capture the heart of nearly all the males on campus.
she shared a handful of classes with you and often pretended to be your friend just so she could con you into doing the assignments for her.
her fake, honey sweet voice would pout at you, calling you her best friend and how she really really really needed your help with this super hard assignment.
for the first couple of times, you fell for it, hook, line, and sinker, and did the assignments for her. you even made sure to change the style of your writing to help differentiate between -hana's- and your work. however, after realizing the sheer amount of times you had done the work for her, you began to acknowledge your own self worth and had every intention of cutting off all ties with her.
when you tried to do just that was when hana's true colors began to shine through. her smile was a wicked one as she haughtily told that if you dared stop doing these assignments for her, then she would begin to spread nasty rumors about you-
like how your good girl persona was all just an act and that your legs were "always open for business."
or how you slept around with your male professors to achieve such high grades.
and what killed you the most about her words was that she was capable of making everyone believe her.
you had no idea what came over you. instead of feeling threatened, you felt enraged at the sheer audacity of this absolute bitch. you wished you had never been naive enough to fall for her false sense of friendship-
which was what pushed you to utter those lies.
"my boyfriend told me that if you wouldn't stop bothering me to do your homework, then he'd do something about it."
the sneer that appeared across hana's face was all the proof you needed to know that she didn't believe you. "please, a wallflower like you having a boyfriend? that's so fucking laughable to me. tell me, what's his name then, and i might believe you."
your mind was racing then, thinking back to all of the boys you had seen on campus and chose the most intimidating one.
"megumi fushiguro is my boyfriend."
hana's sneer rapidly turned to red hot hatred as her grey eyes darkened significantly, "that's impossible! fushiguro-senpai is worlds, no, he's GALAXIES away from you! why the hell would he waste his time with you?!"
"i'm not a waste of his time at all! i fell in love with him, and that's all i have to say!" you knew you were lying, but dammit you were desperate to get hana off your back.
it was true that megumi was devastatingly handsome, but he was more than that. he developed quite a reputation on your campus for not tolerating bullshit behavior. he was fearless, even managing to put a few rowdy boys in their place by giving them a beatdown for disturbing the peace every weekend with their partying on campus.
no one messes with megumi fushiguro, which was why you hoped that you saying his name would instill some sort of fear into hana's heart.
unfortunately for you, your mentioning of his name did the complete opposite as hana manages to grab onto you. her acrylic nails were felt digging into the skin of your arms as you wince at the contact. her nostrils were flared, and coupled along with the crazed look in her eyes, you knew that what she felt was pure envy over your fake relationship.
"fine. if he is your boyfriend, then i guess he wouldn't mind meeting you for a little date tomorrow morning, right? text him to meet you at our school's café." she finally relents her grip on you, checking for any damage against her nails before tossing her hair back, "i promise, if fushiguro-senpai truly is your boyfriend, then i'll back off. if not," she giggles, flashing you her middle finger, "we'll continue doing business. see ya!"
you watch as hana walks away from you with complete confidence in her steps. only when she was out of your sights did you fall to your knees and let out a deep sigh. with anxiety coursing through you, you knew that there was no way you could trouble megumi with your drama.
it's not like you could just walk up to him and beg him to play the role of your boyfriend. megumi was so cool, so stoic all the time, that there was no way he'd even give you the time of day. he had better things to do than waste his time with you and your mess.
after all, it was entirely your fault. you had fallen into hana's trap and couldn't see yourself getting out of it so easily.
which was why you figured that the best course of action was to simply accept your fate.
when morning came, and you made your way to the café, you knew you were done for. in just a few minutes, hana would arrive to see you sitting alone and would proceed to give your life hell.
your prediction was close to coming true when you saw hana enter the café. she walks toward you with a bounce in her step, her sinister smirk was seen as she points at the emptiness of your table, "i knew it! you weren't dating-"
"hey, sorry i'm late." you froze upon hearing a deep voice call out your name. honing your gaze toward the voice, you stiffen at seeing megumi fushiguro himself coming closer to you, all while running a hand across his messy dark locks of hair.
he ignores hana, taking his a seat next to you before pressing a chaste kiss against your forehead. "do you wanna share some breakfast? how about some coffee, too?"
after slinging an arm around your shoulder, megumi finally takes notice of hana and openly glares at her, "saeko, have you been bothering my girlfriend, even after she told you to stop?"
you couldn't bring yourself to speak, feeling completely out of it as you felt both your heartbeat and breathing quicken. megumi seems to sense your discomfort, placing a hand on your shoulder as he began rubbing comforting shapes against it.
"she already told you if you didn't stop, then i'd do something about it. so do i need to do something about it, hana saeko?"
you swore you had never seen hana so embarrassed or afraid before in your life. her whole face was turned into a beet red, the color even reaching to the tip of her ears as she couldn't bring herself to meet megumi's stoic gaze. "n-no, i-i'm sorry senpai, it won't happen again! i-i'll do my own work, and i'm so sorry for not believing you- okay, b-bye!"
the speed at which hana ran out of the café was almost laughable to you, but you couldn't bring yourself to even smile when megumi was still sitting right next to you. your eyes were dazed when they look over to him, your words failing to come out until you were left gaping at him.
he doesn't say anything, keeping his green eyes on you. just seeing the clarity in his gorgeous emerald gaze was enough to break you out of your silence when you quickly look away from, "uhm...that was really nice of you, i didn't mean to bring you into this and trouble you with unnecessary drama." you trail off, but end up smiling to yourself, "i don't know how you knew, but i just wanted to thank you, for helping me, senpai."
megumi takes in your smile, and had you have had the courage to look at him you would have known that he himself was blushing a light pink from seeing your smile. "i heard from yuji and nobara that i was dating you."
you nearly choke on your own spit, feeling your heart racing again upon hearing his words. "i was shocked, but nobara let me in on your little situation." it's then that megumi gently frames your face with his large hand, as if trying to memorize your features before continuing, "you were being taken advantage of, and i couldn't stand for that."
"i've always noticed you. out of all the loud and noisy people on campus, you were the best one of them all. you're such a good girl, always wearing your heart on your shoulder. but you're not a pushover, you stood up to saeko and faced her head on."
"b-but i lied to her, and i used your name. doesn't that make me a coward?" you found that it was getting harder to think the more megumi kept on tracing at your lips with his fingertips.
he shakes his head at you, leaning closer with his lips mere centimeters away from your own. "no, i've always wanted to talk to you; to get to know you and protect you. this was the perfect chance for me to make my move." he leans in even closer to whisper against your lips, "i really like good and pretty girls like you, you know?"
his deep voice calling you pretty makes your knees weak as you found yourself falling into his sweet kiss, practically melting into him as megumi wraps his arms around you to bring you even closer to him.
after several seconds, megumi pulls away from the kiss first to whisper against your lips once more, "how about you take me as a real boyfriend instead of a fake one?"
the smile that paints your features was so wide that it was becoming painful. and when you nuzzle at his nose before pressing a chaste kiss against his cheek was when you finally answered his question with an eager yes.

Ad Meliora
Based on this tumblr post, because Eddie serves "going back to school later in life" vibes and I'm capitalizing.

In Latin, the phrase "ad meliora" means "toward better things."
“Eddie’s been acting weird lately.”
Chimney glances up from his phone, pausing in smacking his gum between his molars. “What makes you say that?”
Buck nods across the loft to where the man in question is sitting at the bar, zoning out as he stares blankly at the countertop. It had been a decidedly uneventful day so far, with no calls in the last twenty minutes, and for that entire time, Eddie hasn’t moved. “He’s just sitting there.”
“He might be deep in thought, Buck. A man is allowed to be alone with his thoughts.”
“He’s staring.”
“Like a person who is deep in thought.”
“Like a weirdo.” He leans back, squinting at Eddie, whose eyebrows furrow, like he’s about to give the bar top a shakedown.
Hen materializes at the top of the steps, then, and Buck beckons her over before she can make a beeline toward the kitchen. She narrows her eyes at him behind her lenses, looking at Chimney curiously before saying, “What am I walking into?”
“Buck thinks Eddie is acting weird.” Chimney puts air quotes around the last word.
Buck huffs. “He is. Look at him. Do you think he’s having some kind of episode or something? That kid from that house fire the other day, his sister was telling me about how he has these things called petit mal seizures while we were sitting in the back of the ambulance, and I think—”
“He’s not having a seizure, Buck,” Hen cuts him off, but she tilts her head dubiously as she regards Eddie. “Besides, those are more common in kids. He’s probably just deep in thought.”
Chimney snorts, grinning down at his phone.
“Guys,” Buck mutters, but he doesn’t take his eyes off Eddie’s pensive form.
“You should just go ask him.” Hen drops to the couch beside Chimney, pressing her lips together when she nudges his arm with her foot and knocks his phone out of his hand. “If the curiosity is killing you this bad, I know a surefire way to get to the bottom of it.”
Buck’s knee bobs up and down, his fingers tapping out a rhythmless staccato against the arm of the chair. It’s probably nothing. Ever since Eddie came back to work, he’s just been a little bit more . . . hypervigilant of his best friend, who has noticed said hypervigilance.  It was hard to miss the message written in the folded lines of Eddie’s forehead when he got a papercut and Buck smothered him like he’d amputated a finger instead.
So, maybe he’s being a little excessive about it all, but that’s his best friend in the world. Sue him.
“It’s probably nothing,” he decides, settling back in the chair. Chimney and Hen exchange a look but don’t say anything. Buck spends the next five minutes waiting for Eddie to move, but then the bell rings, and it takes a good ten seconds before he jerks to attention and leaves his place at the counter.
Buck knows something is up when he pops his head into the Diaz kitchen the next day and Eddie snaps his laptop lid shut so fast Buck wouldn’t be surprised if he threw his shoulder out of socket.
“Um,” he mutters, hand curling around the doorframe. “Awkward?”
Eddie scowls, rubs a hand over his face. “I didn’t hear you come in.”
“Because you’re losing your hearing in your old age.” He dodges the apple that’s thrown at him from the bowl on the table, hears it thud to the ground behind him. “That’s gonna bruise. It’ll be inedible.”
“Do you come here to get pelted with fruit, or is there a reason you’re annoying me today?”
Buck grins, dropping into a chair on the other side of the table. “I promised Chris I’d help with his homework.”
“Okay. Have I been blacklisted from homework help?”
“Nah, I’m just better at it.”
“You’re better at it.”
“Is there an echo in here?” His smile falters at the pinched look on Eddie’s face. “Dude, hey, I was just kidding. We just kind of got into a routine while you were in your therapy sessions, but I can . . . I can leave you guys to it, I don’t mind.”
Eddie shakes his head, and he smiles, but it looks a little too on the side of forced. “No, he’ll ignore me for the rest of the night if I do that.” He angles his head toward his son’s room. “Hey, Chris! Your partner in crime has arrived!”
The door creaks open and Chris makes his way out with a folder clutched in his hand, using the wall for support until he reaches the table and guides himself into the chair. “Hey, Buck.”
“Hey, buddy. You got your assignment?”
They sit at the table and work on his latest art project, which is a picture of the brain and its basic structures, and what the actual hell? He doesn’t remember having to look up what a ‘corpus callosum’ is when he was ten. He leaves most of the work to Christopher, glancing up every so often to watch as Eddie flits about the kitchen to prepare dinner. He’s still not used to this version of Eddie Diaz who is a decent cook.
“This another one of Linda’s recipes?”
And . . . silence.
Buck frowns, watching the muscles in Eddie’s back work as he chops tomatoes. “Eddie.”
Silence.
“Eddie.”
He jumps, glancing over his shoulder. “What?”
“Nothing,” he finishes after a beat, and then to lighten the mood, “I just didn’t smell anything burning yet, so I was confused.”
Eddie rolls his eyes back to the meal prep in front of him, and the oddity surrounding him bothers Buck through dinner, all the way to the two of them on the couch watching a baseball game drinking beers while Chris is playing video games in his room, when Eddie asks, “You went to college, right?”
Buck scoffs. “Maddie would probably call it flunking out, but I guess you could technically say I went to college, yeah.”
Eddie makes a noise of acknowledgement in the back of his throat, eyes glued to the television screen while he picks at the label around his bottle. “Did you like it?”
“I’m not sure I liked anything at that age. Well,” he amends, “The keggers were pretty fun.”
“Of course you would say that.”
“I resent your implications.” The Dodgers hit a homerun, and a few beats pass as they watch the stadium lose its mind. Christopher cheers in his room. The steady hum of the dishwasher fills the house. It’s all very homey. Lived in. Extremely juxtaposing to what awaits him at his loft. “Why do you ask?”
He shrugs, predictably. “No reason.”
And Buck doesn't believe that, but he also doesn’t push, because in the end, Eddie always tells him.
He pushes up from the couch and leaves to grab another beer from the fridge.
By the end of the week, Buck’s got three working theories:
1. Eddie is thinking about leaving the 118 again (he nixes this one immediately because the mere idea is preposterous).
2. Eddie is legitimately having petit mal seizures and Buck’s just been watching him like an idiot the entire week letting it happen (again, unlikely, as Hen keeps reminding him).
3. Eddie is running his own online office supply store.
“He doesn’t have his own office supply store, Buck,” Bobby laughs, dumping pasta noodles in the boiling water on the stove.
Buck gestures to him with the knife in his hand. “You don’t know that. I found boxes of pencils and pens and a worrying amount of notebooks and loose leaf paper hidden away. Maybe you need to up the salary a bit, Cap.”
Bobby shakes his head. “I’ll be sure to take that up with the city.”
Buck continues chopping the vegetables for the pasta dish, but he’s distracted, staring at Eddie out of the corner of his eye. He’s sitting with Hen and a few of the other crew on the couches, everybody engaged in quiet reading or muted conversation before dinner. Eddie is a bit detached from it all, joining in when prompted, but always returning his constipated gaze to his phone.
“Buck.”
He turns back toward his captain. “What?”
“We’re ready for the vegetables.”
He finishes chopping and then slides it into the pot, depositing the cutting board in the sink and leaning back against the counter. “You don’t think he’s being weird?”
“Well, have you asked him?”
“You sound like Hen and Chim.”
Bobby dries his hands on a dish towel before slinging it over his shoulder. “Do you feel like it’s something serious?”
The knot in his gut doesn’t give him any kind of nervous sensation, but he’s been fooled before. “Not really. I don’t know.”
“Well, if anybody knows what’s going on with Eddie, it’s you.” Bobby sticks the garlic bread in the oven and glances at his watch. “Tell everybody dinner in fifteen.”
Bobby’s words stick with him the rest of the shift. If anybody knows what’s going on with Eddie, it’s you. Which is, historically, an accurate statement. With less than a handful of exceptions. After everything, Buck thinks, Eddie would tell him if it was something serious, so he’s been fine with waiting. But the ball of worry in his stomach is getting harder to ignore.
Fortunately, he never ends up having to ask. Eddie comes clean on Saturday night while they’re sitting at the kitchen table putting together movie snacks.
He’s fidgeting with several kernels of popcorn in his hand, turning them over and over, when he says, “I know you’ve noticed I’ve been a little weird lately.”
He doesn’t pump his fist and shout “vindication!” but it’s a near thing. Insead, he shrugs and says, “I might have,” mentally giving himself a high-five for the casual tone.
A pamphlet is slid across the table, for the local community college, and Buck’s eyebrows shoot up into his hairline. “Wow, I knew Christopher was smart, but—”
“Shut up.” The words are belied by the smile tweaking Eddie’s lips. “I’ve been, uh . . . I signed up for a couple classes.”
Buck opens the pamphlet to a wide array of diverse, smiling faces, backpacks slung over shoulders, students looking raptly engaged in class in a way that can only be staged. “You did?”
“Yeah.”
“Is this . . . is this some kind of midlife crisis? Because, I gotta say, you’re the only person I know who’d panic-enroll himself in college rather than buy a Harley.”
The smile doesn’t drop, but tension pulls the skin around Eddie’s eyes tight. He reaches for the pamphlet. “It’s stupid.”
Buck pulls it out of reach. “Whoa, man, I’m joking. This is . . . I just had no idea you were even considering this. You never talk about college. I didn’t think it was something you were interested in.”
He shrugs, tracing invisible circles on the table. “I guess I didn’t either, until May kept talking about USC while I was working at dispatch. It just got me thinking about everything I missed out on, getting married so early, having Christopher, joining the army. I just . . . whatever. It’s stupid.”
“Jesus, Eddie, it’s not stupid.” He thumbs through the pamphlet, more considering. “You hardly talk about yourself pre-Christopher.”
A strangled noise claws its way out of Eddie’s throat. “For a reason.”
“Was there . . .” he bites down on the inside of his cheek, thinks about how to word this right. “Was there something you wanted to do? Someone you wanted to be?”
Eddie mulls over his words, propping his chin on his fist. “Probably. I mean, there must have been. But it’s been so long I don’t even remember.”
Buck nods. “You’re not gonna, like, find your passion in accounting or something and leave the 118 again, are you?”
“Accounting?”
“You’re right, you’d never survive the basic math course. Do they have a major in Gossip or Telenovela Watching?”
“Alright.” Eddie swipes the brochure back and pops a piece of popcorn in his mouth. “I’m not enrolling as a full-time student, that would be impractical. I’m just taking a couple classes online. I only have to show up in person a few times.”
Buck nods again, hoping he appears cool and collected on the exterior, because he feels like he could burst apart on the inside with how proud he is of his best friend. He doesn’t know quite how to put it into words. “What classes are you taking?”
Eddie’s jaw works back and forth, like he’s debating whether or not to say anything. As if. “Intro to Psychology and,” his face warms, “Spanish 102.”
“Eddie.” The grin cracks so wide across Buck’s face that his cheeks hurt. “Good for you.”
“It’s impulsive and dumb is what it is. I shouldn’t be wasting the money on this.”
“Well, as a someone well-versed in impulsive and dumb decisions, I can tell you that this is so far from that.” He kicks him under the table. “For real, man. You deserve to do this. I’m proud of you.”
The look in Eddie’s eyes when he glances up is cut-open and vulnerable. Honest without any sort of pretense. “Yeah?”
“Yeah. Of course. Always.” And then they stare at each other for a bit too long, and Buck’s heart trips over itself in his chest again. He clears his throat and scoots back from the table. “Come on, I’m sure Chris has picked out a movie by now.”
“It’s probably some Spiderman movie.”
“What would make you think that? Because the last fifteen times were all Spiderman movies?”
“I don’t know how you put up with us.”
The first answer that comes to Buck’s mind is way to raw and honest for the occasion, but he knows it has to show all over his face as he sits down on the other side of Chris, that it must bleed into the room around them when he pretends to wrestle Chris for the popcorn, that it must carve itself into the nooks and crannies of Buck’s body when Eddie wraps an arm around Chris and his knuckles brush Buck’s shoulder.
“What’d you pick, buddy?” Eddie asks, shoving more popcorn in his face.
Christopher clicks play on the remote and the opening sequence of Spiderman starts up.
“At least it’s Tobey Maguire this time,” Buck offers.
Eddie dumps a fistful of popcorn over his head.
After Eddie tells Buck, he unfurls like a shaky flower to the rest of the team. They’re supportive, of course, it’s what a family does. And like with Chimney’s deepdive into fatherhood literature and Hen’s med school study spillovers into work time, the team absorbs Eddie’s new schedule into their framework.
“I’ve already scheduled you off for your test days,” Bobby tells Eddie one morning over coffee, while it’s quiet and the station feels liminal and fragile in the delicate sunlight.
Eddie often forgets that he is a living, breathing person who is allowed to take up space and ask for help, so it feels like a big step when he smiles and says, “Thanks, I appreciate that.”
Eddie is also not someone who does things simply for the sake of doing them, so when one of the firefighters playing pinball asks over their shoulder what he’s planning on doing with his classes, it feels like another big step when Eddie replies, “Nothing at all. I just think they’re fun.”
Buck often bursts into the Diaz house to find both Diaz boys pouring over homework at the kitchen table, and it’s so fucking endearing he doesn’t know how to hold the sheer magnitude of the feeling that washes through him at the sight.
One evening, Christopher tells his dad that he likes them being in school together at the same time, and that it means Buck has double the homework to check over now.
After that, Buck orders a comically large red pen and makes an elaborate production of marking up Eddie’s assignments.
They’re up late in the loft at the firehouse one night, the rest of the team in the bunkroom. Eddie’s working on a paper and Buck is flipping through the TV with the volume on mute, because it’s more for something to look at than the desire to consume actual content. It’s dark, Eddie’s face illuminated by the glow of his laptop screen. The sharp pierce of a siren can be heard in the distance, cutting through the night.
Eddie’s fingers still over his keyboard, and in a voice husky from a prolonged time of disuse, he comments, “I wanted to be a cowboy when I was a kid.”
Buck glances over, pillowing his head on his bicep. “Yeah?”
“I had the ten-gallon hat and everything.”
The visual is an amazing one. He’ll have to ask Pepa or Abuela for pictures later. “I feel like aspiring to be a cowboy is a prerequisite for all Texan children.”
Eddie laughs, a soft puff of air rushing through his lips, tilting his head back to rest against the chair. “When I was in middle school, I wanted to be a professional baseball player.”
“That tracks. I wanted to be a ninja.”
“You would be a terrible ninja.”
“I would be an amazing ninja.”
“In your dreams. I swear, you’re just like bambi sometimes, all long-legged and clumsy. You’d never sneak up on anybody.”
“Jeez, okay, let’s not turn this into Characte Assassination Hour.” He shifts more on his back to get a better look at him.
A pained look crosses Eddie’s face. “They were phases, though. Doomed to pass.” He picks at a loose thread on his uniform pants. “Whatever I wanted to be in high school, it passed, too.”
Buck sits up, scoots so his back is against the arm rest. “You’re allowed to be angry about it, you know.”
“I’m not.”
“But you can be. And maybe you should. Then that constipated look on your face would go away.”
Eddie rolls his eyes. “I don’t look constipated.”
 “You had to grow up too fast, Eddie. You missed out on stuff. That sucks. It’s shitty. There are alternate timelines where you become a professional baseball player or a cowboy or even a freaking interior designer, and you’ll never know what could have happened if things had been different.”
A sour look crosses Eddie’s face.
“But you’re also here, you know. Being a firefighter. Doing something you love, with a kid you love, even if every day isn’t full of sunshine and rainbows. You can appreciate where you are now, too. You’re allowed to feel both ways.”
Eddie’s eyes pop open, staring at the ceiling, and then they draw slowly down to lock with Buck’s. “You ever wish you finished college?”
“God, no. College was never for me. I’m right where I’m supposed to be.”
“Right.” Eddie kicks his feet off the table and tosses his laptop onto the couch beside Buck. “Look over my paper before I turn it in?”
“Duh, I love pointing out your mistakes.” He braces against the pillow that’s thrown at him, trying to keep his laughter from waking up the entire firehouse. “Hey. Eddie.”
“Yeah?”
“For what it’s worth, I think you’re right where you’re supposed to be, too.”
Eddie looks down at the badge on his uniform, and then up at the episode of House Hunters playing without sound. He smiles. It comes easier this time.  “I think I’m finally starting to believe that.”

Reddit AITA posts are just like:
My (34m) older brother (36m) was always my parents' favorite. Growing up, I didn't have a bedroom and slept on the couch in the basement. There were enough bedrooms for me to have one but apparently my brother was "so special one room can't contain it". Every morning I would have to make his bed, serve him breakfast, and thank him for being wonderful. In the evenings, I had to do his homework and cook his dinner. Whenever he got in trouble, it was always my fault (my "bad energy" influencing him, my parents said). I left as soon as I turned 18. I now have a degree, my own business, a wife, two children, and my own home. My brother flunked out of college without me there to do his work for him and hasn't been doing well ever since. He still lives at home with mom and dad, who still blame his failure on me for "abandoning" him.
You can imagine, having led such different lives, that he and I are nothing alike personality-wise. We do, however, look alike. That's what's giving rise to the conflict here.
My brother is now being charged with three counts of murder. He strangled two employees at a burger joint with his bare hands for getting his order wrong and then he hit and killed a third person while fleeing the police in a high-speed car chase. He's probably facing a pretty lengthy prison term. My parents are absolutely devastated and the other night, my dad came to me with a suggestion. He said since I look like my brother, I should go to court posing as him, and serve his prison sentence for him. My brother would move into my house with my wife and kids and run my business. So basically we would swap lives. I thought this was crazy. But my parents say it's only fair - my brother is like this because of my "negative energy". I live several states away but they say it's just that strong that it made him kill three people. Plus my mom insists he'd be a better husband to my wife and father to my kids. They also brought up all the times I forgot to thank him for being wonderful or the times he didn't like the meals I made for him (they kept a list). This is evidence that what happened was really my fault anyway and I should be the one to face the consequences, according to them. They also circulated a petition and got 35 signatures, and our extended family has been calling me and telling me this is the right thing to do.
So, AITA for refusing to switch places with my brother?

The Fallen Teacher
Blazar: Pag, Debanga and Mogusion reunite in the data world, and discuss various Ultra homeworks. When the Kaiju ask where Blazar is from, Pag is unsure, and reviews data to maybe find out, adding Firdran and Earth Garon data. When the Kaiju are annoyed about him switchin focus, he gets annoyed, only to realise after looking into the prelude to the 3rd wave that there are other Kaiju he hasn't added to the data, and get in an argument with the others about helping him.
Gotchard: Greyon infuses a doll, referred to by Atropos as the Abyssal Sister's elder brothers, with gold and NemineMoon, and sends the resulting Golden Malgam out to bring destruction. Daybreak Gotchard looks over the city. The classmates gather for new year's at Kitchen Ichinose, Hotaro ponders the giant Malgam and the other Gotchard, before being sent on an errand. Spanner, pondering his leaving things to Ichinose, finds a delirious Kyouka, exhausted from working on the Driver. Minato enters the classroom to find someone there, someone who knows it of old, and knows Minato too, Greyon. On his errands, Ichinose finds the Gold Malgam and tries to stop it sinking people into the ground, but struggles before Daybreak GoldDash appears carrying Daybreak Gotchard, who drives the Malgam off using Skebows. By removing the device from the front of his driver, Daybreak Gotchard loses the cape and some of the fires but is still orange, and tells Ichinose, confused both about the second Gotchard and his having Chemies he already captured, only that something soon will cause him to lose his trust in someone, and suggests he either accept that or fight against it. Spanner and Kyouka talk, he's annoyed she still sees him as a kid after effectively raising him since saving him in the incident 10 years ago. The incident, which The Assembly refuses to investigate, killed a number of alchemists, and Kyouka and Spanner's goal is to make contact with Kudoh Fuga when he makes contact with Rinne, so they can prove he wasn't responsible, she so advises him to loosen up a bit if he wants to use thr Driver, but clarifies he doesn't have to be like Hotaro. As the students try to find what shadow the Malgam has hidden in, Spanner is approached by Minato, saying they must talk. Rinne draws the Malgam out using BurningNero, and Ichinose tries to fight as Super Gotchard, Daybreak Gotchard arrives and enquires if Kudoh is okay, before correcting to Rinne, then uses the Gotchard Igniter to power up. Super Gotchard tries and defeats the Malgam, only for it to rehearse and escape, before the students are drawn to sounds of combat, Daybreak Gotchard remarking that it's starting. They find Spanner attacking Minato, Ichinose fearing what the other Gotchard said is coming to pass, only for Spanner to reveal he's trying to protect the student's memories, as Minato demands they return their cards and rings. The Assembly have decided the incident with Kugimiya was the last straw, after multiple high rank alchemists becoming Malgam, they have decided they cannot entrust this to the students and intend to expell them, entrusting the capture of the Chemies to others, specifically the Abyssal Sisters. When the students refuse to give up, Spanner tries to defend them, but when Minato becomes Dread he easily overpowers Valvarade, taking MadWheel, GekioCopter and GutShovel, the students only escape when Sabimaru lends Spanner SasukeMaru.
Kingohger: Racles is on trial for conspiracy to commit mass murder and aiding the UchuO's invasion of Tikyu, demanding Racles tell them everything. Racles claims that for 2000 years, the Kings of Shugoddom have merely acted loyal to Dugded to seek the moment to strike, and the time came in the reign of his father, Corsus Hastie. The Jesters wonder what to do now that Dugded is dead, until Minongan calls them so he can reveal himself, warping time and space. Corsus petitioned Dugded for power that they might ever serve his will. In response he induced a pregnancy in the queen which produced Gira, his mother dying soon after. Racles maintains he didn't know Gira's origins at the time, and while Corsus kept the miracle child's birth a secret, Racles always regarded Gira as his beloved brother. Douga suddenly calls Gira, revealing Minongan turned up and now he and our favourite characters have been made old men, Kogane is a baby and Boone is a young soldier. Yanma has copied the god killing power to the other swords, so while the trial continues, everyone else goes to confront Minongan, who makes them all 10, Kaguragi manages to get them to change but the kids are out of control. Right after Racles fed Gira the Rainbow Jururira, Boshimar summoned Racles to Corsus. After enquiring if Gira enjoyed it, Corsus explains it God Kuwagata's Shugod Soul, and as he is dying, he needs to tell him the truth now, before Racles' coronation, that Gira is a tool for them to defeat the UchuO. Gira succeeds in slashing Minongan and reverts to his proper age, but suddenly has a massive attack of pain remembering collapsing after eating the Rainbow Jururira. Boshimar was at his side in seconds, calling over a guard for help, then realised said guard was not meant to be there, forcing him to reveal himself as Kamejim. Ever dutiful, Boshimar was prepared to do what he must to defend his Prince. Racles explained he didn't understand right before Gira, suffering partial memory loss after eating, ran in angry, showing traits of the Tyrant King. Racles restrained him, Corsus explained that as he ate more Shugods Gira would forget he was human and become an obedient tool, but Racles refused to do that to his brother even as Corsus explained it was to protect the people, but Racles instead took Gira and ran, but it's clear even Corsus doesn't want to have to do this to his son, as Racles promised to protect Gira and begged him no to change. Gira now remembers this, as Racles explains Dugded noticed the resistance, Kamejim and Grodie confronted him. Corsus coughing blood triggered the Ohger Caliber ZERO, enabling him to fight for his nation, people, and family as OhkuwagataOhger. His body was found in the throne room, signs of a major battle, but it was officially reported as due to his illness. Dugded then engineered the Fury of the Gods to demonstrate humanities position, forcing Racles to do nothing to aid, Racles decided then and there to defeat UchuO Dugded while feigning loyalty, even if he must resort to evil. To that end he had Gira sent to the orphanage, partly to protect him but also so he could live as a human, but feels guilty Gira has been forced into a lifetime of battle, though Rita reminds him Gira chose to fight himself. Now understanding Kuwagon is within him, Gira helps the others overpower Minongan. Racles requests Rita erase the official records, noting that he has committed many crimes against his people and the goal he was working toward does not justify that, he has tomgo down in history as Shugoddom's worst, most evil king. Rita declares him guilty under penalty of death, but the others arrive, having already made clear that is insufficient, and the news that another Dugded appeared from Minongan. Thus, Racles' plea bargain is to fight for the Ohsama Sentai until the threat is defeated, as for the first time in 17 years, for a moment, Racles gets to be Gira's brother again.

Female characters in retro shojo [70s edition, part 2]
In this series, the female characters in 70s shojo are being analysed. In part one, three of the most common types were examined; the “average” protagonists, the villains and the tomboys. In this article, other three very common types are being discussed.
The westerners innocent blondies
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are either orphans who just want to find a place to belong, princesses who dream about falling in love, or normal girls who always knew that they weren’t where they meant to be and they somehow discover that they are royalty or from a noble family. Either way, they are lively, innocent, but naive, so sometimes they may be betrayed or belittled, but they have a kind heart that knows how to forgive and have faith on people, so they make friends easily. Many times they are portrayed as Tomboys who love the nature and sometimes they get into trouble accidentally. They may seem helpless and dense sometimes, but despite all of this, they are actually very independent, as they may travel to the other side of the world all alone if they have to (they will make new friends wherever they go anyway) and if they need to, they can kick some serious ass too. But their most precious weapon is their inner strength to move forward, no matter what.
In “Candy Candy” Candy, is an orphan girl who goes through so many hardships. At first, her best friend Annie gets adopted, leaving her behind, but her troubles had just begun. She gets adopted by a rich family to keep company to their daughter, named Elisa who is the one who, along with her brother will constantly try to make her life miserable, firstly when she was staying at their house, then in the private school in England and afterwards when she was working as a nurse. But Candy makes many friends and has many allies and with her inner strength and lust for life, she overcomes all the obstacles that she faces. But that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t lose some of her dearest friends along the way. As she grows up she learns the hardships of life, but all those obstacles makes her only stronger and she never loses her hope for a better tomorrow.
In “the Rose of Versailles” we see Marie Antoinette evolving from an innocent and silly girl, to an irresponsible young woman, to a sorrowful, regretful, but determined queen. In the first volumes, she was still a child who just wanted to have fun and didn’t care about homework, traditions and preparations for being a queen. Later, during her first years as a queen she was portrayed as a naive person who didn’t make the right choices. Also, her friendship with Countess de polignag was a bad influence for her as she goaded her into gambling. But she was also well intensioned and just wanted her loved ones to be happy. Oscar always tried to be her voice of reason, but it wasn’t enough. Later it was more and more clear that she was spending her country’s money in clothes, gardening and building the petit Trianon to be with her inner circle, because she wanted to fill the void of being a woman who cannot be with her beloved. In the end, during the time that she was captured, before her decapitation, she surprisingly matured, realised what she had done all those years and wanted to make things right, but it was too late. Her final thoughts was about her family, Fersen and Oscar and she was proud and composured until her last breath. Throughout the story she was portrayed as an innocent woman who was sacrificed for the sake of politics.
In “Alpen Rose” Jeudi is an amnesiac girl who lives in Alpes with a boy named Lundi. She works as a nurse and has a quiet life, until a French nobleman captures her. Luckily she is very clever and with Lundi’s help they get away. And that’s how their journey towards finding Jeudi’s parents start. Along the way, Jeudi befriends many people, like a little girl with his brother and his girlfriend, a journalist who helps her a lot, a young couple and a mysterious musician named Leonard Aschenbach. Jeudi is different from other characters in this particular category because of her wit and courage. She also has a strong sense of justice and in matters of life and death, such as hiding from the nazis in the trains, planning traps for them and solving mysteries with the information that she gathers with the help of her friends, she succeeds. She also cares about the others and tries to see the good side in everyone. When she finally found her mother, she was asked from her grandparents to pretend that she wasn’t her daughter, because she was blind and in a fragile state, besides there was another girl who resembled Alicia (Jeudi’s real name) a lot. She had patience and it was repaid in the end.
Rosalie from “Rose of Versailles” was a poor girl who lived with her mother and her sister Joanne and she just wanted for others to be healthy and was happy with the simplest of things, like being able to buy bread and helping other children in the neighborhood who can’t afford to eat anything. When her mother is killed by Polignag who was in fact her birth mother, she is devastated and swears that she is going to get revenge from the nobles who don’t care about anyone else. When she befriends Oscar and Andre and stays at Jerjeyes household, she learns fencing, manners, horseriding and and history, to make her debut in Versailles. There, she meets the woman who killed her mother, her sister who suicides because of Polignag and managed to get away from her. She also felt disappointed with her other sister, Jeanne who betrayed her, but she was sad when she was killed. Later she meets and falls in love with Bernard, a friend of Oscar and they get married. As the years passed by, she evolved from a stereotypical nice girl, into an accomplished woman who can protect herself and the others. By the end of the story she was pretty much the only one from the main characters who stayed alive.
There are many other characters who fit this image, such as Georgie from “Lady Georgie”, who lived in Australia with a family that wasn’t hers and after meeting an English noble young man, Lowel, they fall in love, so she decides to follow him in England where she makes new friends, faces many enemies and also finds out about her real family. Lynn from “Lady Lady” travels to England to live with her father and her step sister and there she faces her evil step mother and her children, but she also finds many allies too.
Note: “Anne of green gables” was and still is popular in Japan, because of Anne’s passion for freedom and expression, the book’s “pastel” aesthetic, so Anne’s imagination and strength despite being an orphan, might have inspired those characters.
The worthy rivals
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those ladies tend to have what the main heroine lacks and they serve as her opposite. They tend to be considered prettier than the main characters and that circumstances are easier for them, something that isn’t true. They also appear to be elegant and refined, on oppose to the heroine who is more clumsy and tomboyish. They are usually more practical, down to earth and skilful than the main heroine, causing her to feel inferior to them. They may start off as the snobbish girls who look down on her and don’t take her seriously, due to her clumsiness and her easy going attitude towards work, but as the time goes by, they realise her real talent and her worth, causing them to consider her as a worthy opponent and expect great things from her. They may appear as almost perfect at everything they do, but the truth is that they are also insecure and they are having other types of problems, such as finding it very difficult to make friends, due to their cold nature, as they always appear antagonistic and determined to win. But as time goes by they may change their attitude with the help of the heroine, or better, with their own realisation.
Ayumi from “Glass Mask” is the greatest example of this. She is the daughter of a famous actress and a famous director and she was always on spotlight ever since she was a kid. She is beautiful, refined, elegant and admired by everyone, also considered to be a genius, as she excels at acting techniques, dancing and reciting. Her family environment helped her to pursue a successful career as an actress. But that doesn’t mean that she is rest assured as she always seeks to exceed her parents’ talent, so that people will see her as her and not as a daughter of famous parents. She also stated that no one truly knows how hard she worked in order to reach her current level. And that hard work was something that she succeeded on her own. When she encountered Maya for the first time and faced her on the stage, even though she (Ayumi) was better than her, she felt as though she was defeated. From that moment, even though it seemed like Ayumi had everything and Maya had nothing, Ayumi always thought that Maya had something that she lacked; a deep understanding of the characters that she portrays. Ayumi may excel at the techniques of acting, but she never manages to portray the true depth of emotion of each character. Her portraits of characters are accurate and true to the play, but Maya’s are refreshing and original. Even when it’s clear that she is way ahead of Maya, she always walks off stage with the feeling that she was defeated. As a rival, she is also very fair and she likes to unlimitedly challenge Maya in many ways. Of course, as the story progresses, Ayumi’s talent evolves and she becomes more open as a person.
In “Candy Candy”, Flanny is a girl who works as a nurse in the same hospital with Candy. She is the best of the nurses there, as she’s always on time, always knows what to do, is very practical and smart, yet she is rather cold and distant towards others. She only cares to get things done, that’s why she is often annoyed by Candy’s bubbly nature. What’s more, as soon as she learns that Candy is an Ardley, she assumes that she only works out of boredom, contrary to her, who she has to support her poor family. She even goes at the front, to work as a nurse and support the soldiers there. Candy respects her for that this and she visits Flanny’s family to inform them about her decision, as her own relationship with them is bad, as she only sends them her monthly allowance and they never seem to appreciate her hard work. Her and Candy make an interesting dynamic and many stated that both of them make the perfect nurse, with Candy’s gentle and caring personality and Flanny’s practical skills. At the end, both of them learned from one another.
In “Swan”, Sayoko is a refined woman who loved ballet ever since she was a child. But when she meets Masumi for the first time, she starts being insecure about herself and afraid that she will overshadow her, as she’s younger than her with a bright future, whereas she had a night of glory as a prima ballerina, but after an accident she needs to learn how to dance again. But she still feels sympathy for her, besides they both shared their love for ballet, thus a rivalry begins.
In “Aim For The Ace” Reika is the best player on the tennis team and so her nickname is “Madame Butterfly”, due to her grace in the field. Hiromi is fascinated by her and even though at first Reika isn’t impressed by her, later she appreciates her skills and thus a friendship begins.
The “damsel in distress” love antagonists
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are fragile, sweet and pretty, that’s for sure. They are either the daughters of an important family which aspires to marry them with the love interest, thus expand their power, or they are someone who because of some circumstances, grew closer to the love interest, before the main character even could or when she was separated from him for various reasons. Nevertheless, they are in a better social situation from the heroine. Their character arc usually begins at some crucial point of the plot, which is halfway through the story, when the main character and the love interest’s relationship have had already developed, but had not quite bloomed yet. They are considered to be innocent and kind, contradictory to the main character who is much more spontaneous, causing trouble to other sometimes. As expected, they slowly fall in love with the main love interest, in some cases before the main character even realises that she loves him. Either way, those characters add an extra dose of melodrama and constitute to the story, sometimes a little bit, some others a lot to a point of changing it.
Shiori from “Glass Mask” is an interesting case. She is a lady from a wealthy family, so she’s elegant and accomplished. She’s also very pretty, but fragile, as she suffers from anemia and many times she passes out. At first, she’s sympathetic, as she goes out with Masumi and starts falling for him, even though Masumi loves Maya. But as the story progresses, looking at the way Masumi talks to her (Maya), she starts to suspect that he likes her. Slowly but steadily, she evolves into a manipulative woman, who uses her weak health to keep him close. She sees Maya as a threat and she goes out of her way to make her seem like a bad person in front of Masumi. When he learns about all of this, he breaks up with her, but afterwards, Shiori attempts suicide and passes out. When she recovers, she loses almost all of her sense and she goes mad. She’s hospitalised in her room, where she barely speaks and sometimes she growls Maya’s name, rips apart her pictures in magazines and orders bouquets of purple roses to rip them too. At this point of the story, her parents don’t allow him to break their engagement, until their daughter recovers, leaving him responsible for her. In conclusion, Shiori evolves from a sympathetic woman, to a pathetic creature who’s adrift to its feelings.
Susanna from “Candy Candy” is a young talented actress, with a good heart, who works at the same theater company with Terry. During the time of their troupe’s performances in Chicago, she starts falling for him. Seeing that Terry’s heart is set on elsewhere she tries to keep him distant from Candy. Later on, in New York, during a rehearsal, the spotlight that was above of Terry, was ready to fall, so Susanna ran and pushed him away to save him, but the spotlight fell down before she could walk away from it. In the hospital, the troupe learns that she’s alive and healthy, but unfortunately the doctors were unable to save her legs and were forced to amputate them, meaning that her career as an actress was over. Terry took the responsibility, having a strong sense of duty and being pressured by Susanna’s mother. When Candy arrived to New York and see his play, she learned about it soon. Before she even fathom the news, she ran to catch up to Susanna, to save her from a balcony, before she could jump, trying to suicide, to free Terry and let him be with the one he loved. Candy manages to save her and decides to leave them be. So Terry chose to stay with Susanna to take care of her.
Lalissa from “Haikara-San Ga Toru” is a character that appears in the second half of the story. She’s a Russian noble, who arrived to Tokyo with her husband, who is in fact not her real one, but he’s Shinobu who suffers from amnesia after the war and believes that he’s married to her. Lalissa is elegant and quiet, but sad and the truth is that she had lost her real husband, that’s why she wants Shinobu near her, due to his resemblance to him. Benio, who’s Shinobu’s sweetheart, believing that he was dead, was shocked when she saw them together. But due to the circumstances and the fact that Lalissa suffers from tuberculosis, Benio decides to give up on him. But when the Kanto earthquake stroke, Lalissa was severely injured and ready to die, whereas Shinobu regained his memory and she told him to marry Benio and be happy.
Another mention, is Marie from “Alpen Rose” who liked Lundi and that was the reason that she miraculously stood up from her wheelchair to help him, although it’s clear that he likes Jeudi.

super dad , anthony beauvillier
note, as my gift to you, this is your gift as a thank you for 400 followers. i think it’s pretty cool that so many of you decided I was cool enough to follow. hope you enjoy.  pair, anthony beauvillier x reader summary, anthony’s life as a dad during quarantine.  warnings, obviously, talk of covid, children word count, 1267 words
Tumblr media
(gif not mine)
Before the world stopped, you had a pretty good routine. On the days that Anthony wasn’t home, you would wake up, wake up your daughter, Daisy, for school. While she was getting ready and making her bed, you would wake up your son, Damien, and get him ready for school.
You would make them both breakfast, and you would all talk about something random, then you would take the kids to school. You run errands, clean the house, watch TV, and just kill time until it was time to pick up your kids from school.
You would pick Daisy and Damien from school, sometimes get them ice cream, then head home. While you made dinner, the two of them would do homework, or watch TV. Sometimes Anthony would call, and they would talk his ear off about their days. After dinner, you would bathe them, then put on a movie, which they would fall asleep during.
You would carry them both to their rooms, tuck them in, kiss them on the heads, tell them you loved them, and shut the door. Then when you finally had some alone time,
On the days that Anthony wasn’t on the road, he would do everything you did. Run the errands, take Daisy and Damien to school, clean the house, do chores, etc.
Then the world stopped, and the NHL announced they were halting everything, and Anthony was home every day. It helped because oftentimes when Daisy needed help and Damien needed help. There were two of you.
You were tucking Daisy into bed, and handed her a stuffed animal, “Mommy.”
“Yes?” You pulled the blanket up her little body.
“Can you turn on my nightlight?” Whenever she asked for the nightlight to be turned on, that meant she was scared of something. That something might’ve been the movie you had just watched, Snow White.
That movie scared you to that day, so it obviously scared your 6-year-old, “Of course, baby.” You nodded, leaning down and kissing her head. Before you left her room, you turned on the little Sven night light she had.
You headed back to your room where Anthony was laying, scrolling through Netflix, “I don’t think watching Snow White was a good idea.”
“Why not?” He asked, pulling up the comforter so you could climb into bed.
“I think it scared Daisy.” You sighed, leaning your head on his shoulder, “It scared me as a kid, I’m sure it scared her. And she asked to turn on the nightlight.”
“Maybe not.” Anthony sighed, finally picking a show.
“Well, if she runs in here at 2 in the morning, you’re dealing with it.” You told him, turning over and closing your eyes. He hummed as he watched his show.
Low and behold, at around 3, you heard quiet footsteps coming towards your room. You were a light sleeper and heard both children walking in. You propped yourself up on your elbows, “What’s wrong?”
“Mommy, we can’t sleep.” Damien rushed over to your side holding his stuffed dinosaur.
“Yeah.” Daisy nodded in agreement. You patted the bed, and the two of them climbed up. Damien immediately crawled into your lap and snuggled. He was a snuggly baby.
“Anthony.” You hit your husband’s shoulder. He woke up quickly.
“I’m up.” He popped up and the three of you laughed, “What are you two doing here?” He tickled Daisy’s stomach.
“We can’t sleep, daddy.” She told him, cuddling into his chest.
“You want to sleep with mommy and daddy?” Anthony asked, kissing her head. Both kids nodded their heads. You laid back down, both kids attached to you, and closed your eyes.
“Daddy?” Daisy asked, breaking the silence.
“Yes, mon petit?” Anthony asked.
“If mommy got poisoned by an evil ugly queen, would you kiss her and wake her up?” Daisy asked.
“Of course I would.” He answered without hesitation.
“That’s good.” Daisy yawned, “I love mommy.”
“I love her, too.” He blindly, in the dark, reached for your hand, and when he found it, he squeezed it. You smiled, giving his hand a squeeze back.
Also while in quarantine, Anthony would do a lot of zoom interviews. He was sitting at the kitchen table, on a zoom meeting with whoever.
“So, Anthony, how's life at home?” The interviewer asked.
“It’s good.” Anthony nodded, messing with his hair, “I feel like I miss a lot on the road, so I’m very happy to be back.”
“You have two little ones, right?”
“Yes, Daisy’s 6 and Damien’s 4.”
“Are they super excited to have their daddy home?”
“Extremely.”Anthony couldn’t stop smiling, “it’s nice to wake up to the three of them all together every morning. It’s usually with Daisy and Damien jumping on the bed and shouting, but I wouldn't have it any other way.”
“And how’s mom?”
“She’s, God, she’s amazing.” He gushed, “She’s with them during the season, and I seriously don’t understand how she does it sometimes. She’s amazing, and I knew if she weren’t here, I would lose my head.”
He heard the pitter-patter of feet and looked up. He smiled as Damien ran over to him, giggling and smiling, “Daddy.” He squealed when Anthony picked him up, kissing his head and set him in his lap.
“And who's this?”
“This is Damien.” Anthony introduced. Damien got shy, and hid his face in Anthony’s shoulder, “He’s a little shy.”
“That’s okay.” The interview shook his head, “It was wonderful to talk to you today.”
“Thanks, great to talk to you, too.” Anthony smiled.
“Hope to see you out and playing soon.”
“I hope so, too.” Anthony nodded and waved. The zoom meeting ended not too long after that, and Anthony shut the laptop screen, looking down at Damien, “What are you doing up? I thought you were napping.”
“Mommy said when nap time was over we could go outside and play.” Damien shrugged innocently.
“And is nap time over?” Anthony asked, and Damien nodded, “So, what were you thinking?”
“Hockey.” Damien cheered.
“That’s my boy,” Anthony smirked and held out his hand. Damien gave him a hi-five, and the two of them walked outside to the backyard.
On the morning of June 8, you woke up earlier than normal and woke up the kids. The three of you made your way down to the kitchen to make Anthony a special breakfast for his birthday.
You tried to be as quiet as possible, but with two kids, that wasn’t easy. You carried the tray upstairs, while they carried their cards for him. You knew he was awake, but when you got to the bedroom, he was pretending to be asleep for their sake. They climbed onto the bed and started jumping.
“Wake up, daddy!” They both shouted. He opened his eyes and smiled at them.
“Good morning.” He took them both in his arms, and kissed their heads, “What are you doing up so early?”
“It’s your birthday, daddy.” Daisy giggled.
“Is it?” He pretended to forget.
“Yeah.” They both giggled.
“Are these for me?” He asked, looking at the cards in their hands. They nodded, shoving both cards in their hands. He read them, and thanked them both again before finally turning to you, “Did you two also help mommy with breakfast?”
“Yes.” Damien nodded.
“Well, Damien cracked the eggs, and I mixed the bowl. And we decorated the waffles.” Daisy corrected.
“Well, they look delicious.” He smiled, kissing their heads again as you placed the breakfast tray in front of him, “Thank you.” He smiled at the three of you, “This is the best birthday ever.”

Serve at First Sight (Kageyama Tobio x F!Reader)
"I bet I can..." Hinata mumbled and narrowed his eyes at him.
"Hah?" Kageyama glared back. "What did you just say?"
"I'm not good at setting. BUT I BET I CAN HIT THE LONGEST AND FASTEST SERVE!"
"IS THAT A CHALLENGE?"
"YOU WANNA GO NOW?"
"Uh... Kageyama, Hinata, Stop messing around or else you'll get an earful from Daichi-san." Yamaguchi tries to mediate the situation. The last time the idiotic duo did something stupid, all the first years had to run extra laps. And he was not up for that today.
"No use talking to idiots Yamaguchi." Tsukki sneered. "They have an IQ capacity of a teaspoon."
Hinata stood at the line of the court, deciding to go first. Throwing the ball into the air, he jumped as high as he could. As if he were a crow that leaped into the sky. His ball managed to land a good one meter away from line of the opposite side. A loud bang resonating the court and he beamed smugly at his tall opponent. Kageyama had a ball ready in hands as he took Hinata's place. Itching to outperformed the record set by the orange-head. Closing his eyes, he briefly replayed Oikawa's diabolical jump serve from their previous practice match. He knew he was a hundred years too early to be able to do that. Doesn't mean he won't try his luck though.
With a deep exhale, he took flight. Blocking out all sounds surrounding him, save that of his squeaking shoes and the volleyball as he slapped it forward. The stinging sensation felt on his hand causing him to grin. Not quite like Oikawa's, but still powerful. This is it, it will definitely plunge further than Hinata's. And it did. The ball flew pass that one meter mark. And hit a person. Kageyama's eyes blinked twice before the situation finally seeped through his thick skull. He had hit someone's head! Suddenly he could hear his surroundings again. Hinata panicked scream. Yamaguchi running towards the unfortunate human being who fell to the ground. Tsukki trying not to laugh at this slapstick comedy.
Kageyama sprinted towards the person. A hundred thoughts running through his mind. Is the person alright? Is he going to get in trouble with Daichi for this? Where are the third years anyway? Most importantly, when was that person there? How is it he did not notice them? What were they doing there in the first place? Surely no one would actually collapsed from that hit, right? He stood behind Yamaguchi who was trying to communicate with the seemingly unconscious person. And that was when Kageyama noticed, the person was a girl. A petite girl. He kneeled beside Yamaguchi. She seemed to be a little pale.
"Hello?" Yamaguchi tapping her shoulder. "Excuse me, can you hear me?"
No reply.
"KAGEYAMA KILLED SOMEONE!" Hinata hollered.
"What are you going to do now Kageyama?" Despite knowing that she only passed out, Tsukki decided to humour Hinata.
"I'll take her to the nurse's office." Immediately he carried her and jogged out of the court. Hoping not to run into anyone. Especially Daichi.
He couldn't help but glance at her face every three seconds. Wondering if she will wake up midway. But she didn't and that worried him more. If it weren't for her soft faint breaths he would have thought that he actually committed manslaughter with his jump serve. Besides, she has such a small frame. He was afraid if he really did break her. Kageyama held her closer to his body. Noticing how she fit snugly in his arms. And when looked closely, she's actually really cute. A blush spread quickly all over his face. What was he thinking? He doesn't even know her.
~~~~~~~~~~
(Y/n) blinked slowly. Feeling slightly dazed.
She woke up late today, all because of that stupid extra Japanese literature homework that had to be submitted during first period. And because she woke up late, she skipped breakfast. She wanted to get something during lunch, but had to drop by the school library to return some books that were due today. Well what do you know, apparently everyone needed to return their books today. If she had known she would've asked her friends to at least get her melon bread. She had about 10 minutes left before lunch ended, but she ran into her senior and was reminded to submit the club activities report today.
It was so hard to focus on classes for the rest of the afternoon. She drank lots of water in hopes to delay the impending dizziness. It was somewhat working. She only needed to wait until clubs and activities time. She'll get a sugary drink from the vending machine, then tell the club leader that she's going to head home early. But karma really had to be a bitch today. Her wallet was not in her bag. (Y/n) dreaded the fact that she might have dropped it somewhere. Searching for her wallet with this now nasty migraine is really going to be such a pain. That is until she suddenly remembered she left it in her drawer at home. She had forgotten about it amidst the rush.
(Y/n) crouched in front of the vending machine. What are the gods playing at exactly. Is it really so hard to get a single bite? Is this karma for denying Mr. Snuggles his treat last week? Well it was not her fault that he knocked over her pudding off the table! She was on the verge of tears when she heard the sound of volleyballs. Oh right, the vending machine was sort of close to the volleyball court... Didn't Yachi say she was recently the co-manager for Karasuno's volleyball club along with that beautiful senior Kiyoko. There is hope. She only needed a little money to get that small carton of drink.
She stood up quickly and regretted it. God, this migraine is killing her. With every ounce of determination she had left, she dragged her feet towards the court. Swaying a little every now and then. The sounds were getting louder, The ball hitting the court, shoes squeaking and people yelling? This is a good thing, it meant that she was getting closer. This is also a bad thing, because it's splitting her skull. Everything around her blurred as she entered the hall. Shit, where is Yachi? She took a few more steps before she felt a hard impact on her head. Dear lord that hurts like hell. And she lost all control of her body before everything went black.
"Oi." a gruff voice distracted her thoughts.
She sat up immediately. Hitting her head on the bed post in the process. She has realized by now that she must have passed out and someone from the volleyball club took her to the nurses office. It must have been this boy sitting beside her. But that still didn't mean she wouldn't be caught off guard. She has always been somewhat intimidated by the male species. Especially those tall towering ones that had to bend a little to talk to her. It's one of the unfortunate things one has to endure being 4'10 and having a small frame. People often joked that she could fit in a suitcase. Though seeing her other shorter friends did brought her pleasure, it still doesn't change the fact that a lot of people around her were giants.
"Idiot."
"Excuse me?" she glared. What's the big idea calling her an idiot out of nowhere. He was the one who surprised her. Sitting on a stool at her bedside, ain't that too close for a stranger, sir?  Who is he again? The volleyball club is pretty popular here in Karasuno after they managed to get into the finals of Inter high recently. It was unfortunate that they lost to Aoba Johsai, but everyone acknowledged what a monster the school was. Yachi said everyone felt down but it didn't dampened their spirit, for their next chance will be the Spring Tournament.
"S-sorry." the guy replied.
Dark eyes darting away from her face. She could make out an intimidating look on his face. Eyebrows furrowing sternly. Lips set on a grim line. Yet his cheeks flushed. Or was it because of the orange hue from the setting sun (she couldn't really tell), which also made his black hair glow. It dawned upon (y/n) that if he could just smooth away his frown, he would be handsome (she thinks). And if only he weren't being gruffy. Wait a minute. Tall volleyball player, black hair, intimidating frowning face but yet somehow still good looking?
"I'm Kageyama Tobio-"
"I know."
Silence... Well that was awkward.
She cleared her throat. "I'm (L/n) (Y/n). From Class 5. Um, Yachi's friend."
"Oh." Shoot. He didn't know she was Yachi's friend. What will the manager say about this. "I'm sorry. That my jump serve knocked you out."
"No no no! I was actually a little hypoglycemic. So your uh, jump serve was just the final nail in the coffin." Damn, she knew that getting hit by any ball was going to hurt. But the ball just now, it felt like it could tear her head off. Or maybe that's just an exaggeration of being starved the whole day. She realized his expression went from frowning to horrifying. "N-not that it will literally be the final nail to my coffin! It was just an expression. Maybe not a good one. Sorry I'm just bad with words when it comes to strangers. I mean not that you're an absolute stranger. It's just that- I'm sorry, I'm blabbering too much."
"Not at all!" he yelled. Ah, he got too animated. He didn't understand why. But he just thought everything about this girl is cute. From her petite stature that makes him want to shield her from the wind. To her way of talking that showed just how shy and awkward she was as how it is with him. Trying to reassure him that it was fine. He couldn't understand this sudden grip in his heart and the tingling sensation at his fingertips. Though maybe it was because he hasn't touch the volleyball for a few hours now.
Another awkward silence ensues.
"Anyways," (Y/n) was still a bit shy. She was after all talking to one of the most popular boys at school. But seeing as how he is now, she thought she could loosen up her guard a bit. "Have you seen my glasses?"
"You wear glasses?"
They rushed back together to the volleyball court. Yachi attacked her with a hug as she lamented about the news she heard from her fellow peers. Daichi scolding him to be careful next time whilst Tanaka giving him his infamous gangster glare. Hinata coming forward with his head down as he presented (Y/n)'s broken glasses. He accidently stepped on them when he was panicking, though he only realised it when she was sent to the nurse's office. Her glasses must have fallen off her head when she got hit. That hard huh. Really God, you want to test her that much today. Fine, she'll apologize to Mr. Snuggles when she gets home.
Unbeknownst to her, Kageyama felt even worse than earlier. His ball caused her to knocked out, and now it even knocked off the glasses from her head and broke it. Stuttering on his words, he apologized again. Hands balled into a tight fist. He just felt so bad. Suga noticed how dejected he sounded. But he also noticed how pink his ears were. Oh? Well even if it wasn't what he thought, there was no harm in... light teasing. Besides, they'd looked adorable together, no?
"If you really feel guilty. Then you should walk her home today." slinging his arm over Kageyama's shoulder, Suga tried to keep a neutral expression. Well there was a slight smirk, but he tried. "What if she falls down on her way home? Or run into a pole?"
"I am short-sighted Sugawara-senpai. Not blind." (Y/n) said through gritted teeth. Really these eyesight jokes should be old by now. "Besides, I will need to stop by the optic shop to have new ones made."
"All the more for him to accompany you. It will get dark soon. Might be dangerous to be walking alone with such bad eyesight."
"Oh no, I wouldn't want to burden-"
"Let's go." Kageyama interrupted. And when she declined again, he argued back. "Stop being a stubborn idiot. You still haven't eaten, you can't see well and you're so light that people can just easily carry you away."
Did he just called her an idiot for the second time in the short the period they have known each other. How rude! Not that his points were invalid. He was right. But boy does this person lack delicacy. In the end, she agreed to let him accompany her. He bought two cartons of milk from the vending machine. One for each of them, and they set off on their merry way.
~~~~~~~~~~
"No- Okay. Once again. Osmosis only works with solvents. Simple diffusion, both solvents and solutes. So in osmosis, solvents will move from low solute concentration-" (Y/n) stopped explaining when she noticed how Kageyama's brows were almost touching. His lips formed a small pout. "You know what, we have been revising for more than an hour. Let's take 5. Then continue for another hour. It's getting late and although my mum likes you, my dad wouldn't like you being in my room for too long."
Ever since that day where he sent her home, she began hanging out more with Yachi and the volleyball club. Not that she never hung out with her close friend, it's just that (y/n) felt out of place when she mingles with unfamiliar crowds. But now that every member knew her as the girl who got hit by Kageyama's jump serve, that became the basis of her acquaintanceship with the club and she got to hang out with Yachi more. And before she realized it, Kageyama has just been around her circle. Always there. Heck he has been walking her home more often now that even her mother likes him. Then they became just friends. Or she hoped it stayed that way, because she noticed her emotions began crossing unknown territories.
(Y/n) has come to learn a few things about Kageyama Tobio over the course of their friendship. One, he is an obsessed volleyball freak. A prodigy people say. But what (Y/n) sees is a person consumed by passion for the things he loves. And that isn't necessarily bad. Two, he can be quite childish. He fails to control his frustration which later comes off the wrong way whenever he expresses them. But really he means no harm, because when he is happy, he expresses them genuinely. And three, he is quite sensitive. He may want to show that he didn't care, but he actually takes things to heart. He may feel down about a comment, but he will learn to improve from it.
"Sorry."
"What for?"
"For having to teach an idiot like me."
"Oh stop it. Everyone is good and bad at something. We can't all be the perfect prodigy. That's just how things are. You may be bad at studying, but with your volleyball skills I bet you can represent Japan one day." noticing his eyes lit up, she continued. "So in order for you to attend your camp. Let's just try our best okay?"
Kageyama nodded. It was a little embarrassing to have her comforting him like this. But at the same time it brings him immense joy. When he first met her, he would get flutters looking at her cute appearance. Now, he just feels all warm and fuzzy whenever she talks to him. He liked that she didn't judge him or anyone she's ever met. She would scold him sometimes, but at the same time explained her reasoning. And he really appreciated that, how patient she was with him. It does make him guilty, but at the same time he wants to start behaving better. Is this what Suga meant when he said he has a crush on (Y/n)? Kageyama doesn't really know. He will need time to analyze everything.
"(L/n), do you have time during our Spring Tournament?" he tried looking anywhere else but her face.
"You want me to cheer on the club? Sure thing."
"Yes." Hearing her reply made him smile. With a steady gaze he stared straight into her eyes. "Watch me play, (y/n). I'll show you a really strong serve."
(Y/n) could only smile back as she felt butterflies in her stomach. "Then we better get back to studying."

"I'm giving you a homework for you to do until our next meeting." Doctor Lee says while putting down her reading glasses. You nod slowly, not knowing what is going to come out of her mouth next. "I want you to talk to a man." She says softly and immediately your eyes widen. "I want you to start a real conversation to a man. It doesn't matter if it's a friend, a stranger or whoever. The main thing is that you take the initiative. I know you're ready for this." She smiles while you break a sweat because of the rising panic. You doubt that you're ready to have a normal conversation with a man but nonetheless you decide to try to do it. And she said it can be a friend - it doesn't have to be a stranger. Although you wouldn't exactly describe him as a friend, your mind immediately wanders to Loki. He's the only male that you already had a conversation with... kind of.
You have already metup with the asgardian prince twice. And both times he came to visit you in your lunch break. You started to warm up a little to him and since you started to hang out with the god of mischief your coworker stopped bothering you. You didn't feel so helpless now in the construction firm anymore.
Right now you are sitting outside on a bench with Loki beside you. Although you're still uncertain about him you also enjoy his company. So far you always spent your break alone so it was nice having someone to talk to. Loki can feel your insecurity and keeps his distance to assure you he's not here to hurt you. But somehow he can't stop himself from asking you why you're so scared of men. He already knows that you are sensitive about the gender but he doesn't know what traumatized you into this fear. You swallow hard. You have never talked to someone about it besides from your psychiatrist. And somehow it comforts you knowing that Loki won't care anyway - at least you think. You softly clear your throat. "I... I've been raped. A few weeks ago." You confess almost inaudibly and avoid eye contact to the god of mischief. Fidgeting nervous with your fingers, you don't realize the building rage inside of Loki. "By whom?" His voice shakes in anger. Loki gets murderous thoughts. What puny, worthless Midgardian has dared to take advantage of another human being? If this man feels comfortable hurting his fellow species, especially someone so petite and much weaker than him, how would he feel fighting against a god from a different planet? Loki smirks evilly. After you stay quiet and still avoid to look at him, he figures it out by himself. "That bloody cockroach." He whispers to himself. His anger gets unbearable as he thinks back of how your attacker grabbed you by the arm and makes up the worst scenarios in his head about what would've happened to you if he hadn't started to argue with him. He swallows, not getting the picture of this burly man taking advantage of your sweet, helpless form out of his mind. "I'll kill him." He simply states - not caring about the human's life. "What?" You finally look up as Loki gets up from the bench and let's a dagger appear in his hand. Your eyes widen and you move backwards. As far away from him as possible. You feel abused in your trust since he always assured you that he's unarmed - but he could make weapons appear in the blink of an eye. He's so angry and with the dagger in his hand he wakes the deep fear of death inside of you. Shaking in dread you start to sob. A panic attack is taking full control of you as you put your right hand protectively over your face - as if it would stop a dagger from cutting into your skin. Loki's rage disappears as soon as he hears you crying. Hastily he lets the dagger vanish as he realizes that you're seeing a threat in him. He didn't have himself under control for a moment and scared you away. He made a huge mistake. You are still in the process of warming up completely to him and now he showed you this side of him. How are you supposed to feel safe with him now? "(Y/N)." He whispers, careful not to scare you again. You look at him still shaking, your eyes wet from the tears. Loki can feel something sink inside of his stomach as he takes in your quivering form. It's sorrow that the god of mischief is feeling now and for the first time in his life he is scared. Scared that he frightened you away from him. He needs to prove to you that you can trust him, that he won't hurt you. And there is only one thing that comes to his mind that he thinks will help. His heart starts to race, he never thought he someday would actually do this. He goes down and... kneels in front of you. Slightly confused you look down at him. From your position you are now taller than Loki. He's on his knees on the asphalt and helds his head low but still looks up at you with glossy eyes. Your lips are feeling dry as you slowly take your hands to your side to get a better look at the blackhaired man. "W-Why are you kneeling?" Your voice is hoarse. "Because I submiss myself to you." He explains and somehow his words make you braver. You slowly reach your little hand out to him. "May I touch you?" You ask and he softly smiles. "You don't need to ask. You can do whatever you want with me." He offers you and you lay your palm on top of the back of his hand. Feeling his skin under yours for
the first time is soothing your nerves. You feel his warmth and how his fingers slightly twitch. But you also feel something inside of you - emotions you thought you'd never feel again after your traumatic experience and it makes your belly ache - Ache for him to lay his hand on yours as well. You quiver through the beating pulse of your racing heart which you can formally hear in the vein of your neck. And as you take a glance to Loki's face, you just know that he feels the same warmth inside of him.

The end of the semester. A heavy weight has been lifted off many students eager to take their minds off of school and enjoy the anticipated winter break. Dozens going home to their families and making holiday plans with friends.
Yagi Toshinori, known as the steadily popular young hero All Might, was excited to take on hero duties without having to worry about turning in homework late or stumble to class with an uneasy smile as the professor scolds him for being late.
“Finally! Xmas break is here!” the man boomed, raising a fist to the air as he walked alongside Mimi.
“I know right? This semester was a rollercoaster,” she emphasized, a relieved smile plastered her face, her voice soft. “Any ideas how to spend your break?”
“Besides hero duties, not really. Though, I do hope to return to Japan soon.”
The thought of his mentor’s words made Toshinori reconsider. He missed his home country, and was eager to return to defeat the man that killed his master.
Mimi noticed his grimaced expression and looked worried. Taking his large hand in her smaller one, she leaned into his arm. Throughout the time they’ve spent together, Toshinori has told her why he came to America and the guilt he’s felt since leaving Tokyo. It pained her to see him sad.
Toshinori shook away his train of thought and looked down at the woman comforting him. With an appreciative smile, he squeezed Mimi’s hand as they continued walking.

By the time they reached her apartment, the couple were cuddled up on the couch, a Netflix series called “You” playing on the TV. Mimi’s cat, Mocha, laid on her owner’s lap, purring as she rubbed her head against her hand.
Letting out a yawn, Toshinori looked over to see Mimi concentrated on the series, an adored smile forming his lips. She looked cute when focused.
As the episode progressed, his eyes widen at what he was seeing; a sensual scene.
“nngh~”
Immediately, his face was as red as a tomato, quickly covering his mouth as he coughed. This caused Mimi to break away from the screen to check on the man, her hand patting his back.
“A-Are you okay?” she asked, a hint of concern in her voice.
“Y-Yes I’m fine.” he mustered out, taking slow breaths before reaching over to grab his bottle of water. Taking a long sip, he gulped the liquid down his throat, closing the cap and putting the bottle back on the table.
“I-I didn’t know this series was..” he stopped, clearing his throat a bit before looking away, his face growing more red.
“Was what?” Mimi tilted her head.
That’s when Mimi realized what he meant, her eyes widening and an “oh” forming her lips, her cheeks also warming up.
Looking from the corner of his eye, he saw that Mimi also looked away with a flustered expression, his eyes traveling down to her crossed arms squeezing her breasts together, the way her pajamas hugged her petite frame.
Fuck..
With a sigh, Toshinori wrapped his arms around her and pulled her towards him, setting her on his lap. Taking Mimi and Mocha by surprised, the cat jumped off the couch and wandered off to another part of the building, whilst Mimi was hoisted onto the large man’s lap.
“T-Toshi-” before she could comprehend what was going on, his lips found its way to hers, his hand placed behind her head to angle her. Her eyes widen at this sudden move, though she didn’t complain, closing them to return the kiss.
He groaned, his other hand traveling down her body, gliding through her curves ‘til it reached her ass, giving it a squeeze. She gasped, her lips parted enough for him to slide his tongue in her mouth, exploring and tasting every inch of it.
She moaned, her tongue dancing in rhythm with his own. Her hands clasped onto his shoulders, her body quivering from the feeling of his hand rising up her shirt and making contact with her skin. Slowly pulling away from the kiss, followed by a trail of saliva connecting their lips, he teasingly bit her lower lip before latching onto her neck, leaving soft kisses and nips.
“Nngh, Toshi~” Mimi sighed, a breathy moan leaving her lips as she turned her head slightly to give him more access. She began to roll her hips against him, earning a growl from the man.
“Sweetheart, you have no idea how you make me feel.~” he nipped at her neck, leaving behind a small hickey. He looked up to meet her lust-filled gaze, her brown orbs glistening with small tears. He loved the way she grinds against his crotch, returning the favor by grinding his hips up against hers, a smirk forming his lips as she whimpered.
His fingers trailed down to her shorts, slipping through the fabric to meet her already wet lady parts, rubbing and teasing her slit. Biting her lower lip, Mimi’s hands traveled down to his shirt, raising it up slightly as her fingers caressed his abs, causing Toshi to shiver under her cool touch.
Deciding to keep the flame burning, Toshinori took his hands off of her to take his shirt off, Mimi doing the same. Placing his arms back around her, he rose off the couch, lifting her up bridal style and walking off to the bedroom.
Xmas break was starting off on a pleasing note for the hero and his girl.
