You take a sip of your hot drink as you wander the halls. Despite being here for so long, there’s still many things you don’t know about the Devildom or even the House of Lamentation.

One part that you practically know by heart though is the paintings that line all the walls. Before you got close to the brothers, and everyone else for that matter, you used to wander the halls and admire the paintings pretty regularly.

Since getting comfortable here, you don’t do it as often, but you still find yourself doing it at times.

Like now, for instance. It’s the holiday season and you’re feeling a little down. You’re away from home and the brothers have tried to be more than accommodating to your religious beliefs and holiday traditions, but you still feel a little hollow inside. Maybe you just miss the mortal realm?

As you’re pondering it, you pass by a window and pause. Your eyes grow wide as you see it’s snowing outside. Snow? In the Devildom? You didn’t even know that was possible! A smile starts to stretch across your face as you move closer to the glass.

Once you’re closer, you spot a figure outside in the snow. A surprised laugh escapes you as you watch Mammon run around in the snow like a child. Your chest warms at the sight of him having so much fun, the hot drink in your hand unable to hold a candle to the warmth blossoming inside of you.

Your eyes go wide again though when he suddenly turns to you and shines the brightest smile you’ve ever seen from him. His lips start moving as he waves, clearly trying to talk to you.

Laughter bubbles out of you as you shake your head, pointing a hand at your ear to try and show you can’t hear him. His brows furrow at your gesture before realization comes over him. He quickly runs towards the house and comes up to the window you’re standing at.

He has a big, fluffy, gold scarf wrapped around his neck. It doesn’t seem to be doing the trick though from the way he’s shivering. He clearly doesn’t mind though if the way he’s beaming up at you has any say in the matter.

He presses his hand to the glass and you can faintly hear him shout your name. You giggle fondly as you let go of your mug with one hand to reach out, pressing your hand against the glass where his rests.

You two stand there for who knows how long just dumbly smiling at each other. What can you say? The way he looks in the snow…it takes your breath away.

Your eyes shift down when his finger starts to write something in the condensation on the window. Your heart skips a beat when you realize what it says. ‘Love ya!’ it reads. Your cheeks grow hot as you giggle like a schoolgirl. You playfully wink at him and blow him a kiss to return his affections.

“mmm...”

“how long do you plan on staying like this?” you grumble, wiggling under mammon's figure to free yourself from his embrace, but to no avail.

he mumbled incoherent words as a reply, his arms around your waist lightly tightening its grip, his face nuzzling deeper into your neck. you've became his body pillow for tonight.

you aren't bothered with his behavior, in fact, you love it. shifting your body to find a more comfortable position, you sling an arm over his body as the other caressing his cheek.

the moonlight shines through the sheer curtains softly illuminating the room. the faint sound of beelzebub roaming in the kitchen can be heard, but that didn't bother any of you.

“not gonna head back to your room?” you asked, watching his eyes flutter open.

“i just... wanna spend time with ya tonight” he whispered, once again burying his face between you and him, embarrassed.

𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙮: A body can only take so much until it destroys itself.

It was the middle of the night and Greed was going through one of his episodes, which the mansion deemed ‘Emotion Shock’. The curse put on him after he was dethroned working its magic. This curse suppressed his emotions causing a build up and exhaustion. This exhaustion left him with a week's worth of sleep.

Normally Sloth helped him but today Pride was the only one around. He was worried, setting aside his hate for the other sin, as he caressed their tan cheek. She let out a shaky breath as she spoke quietly. “Your eyes are getting paler.” He looked in the other man’s already glassy eyes, watching them turn even more soulless. Greed could barely hold them open as he let out a small low groan.

“I bet they are.” He said almost sarcastically. Tears built up in his eyes and he hated the warm feeling they brought. He felt no emotion but the warmth reminded him of the fact that he couldn’t feel.

“I don’t know…” Greed mumbled, Pride already knowing that was the answer just not sure of what to say. They made an uncomfortable sound as they moved in her lap leaning into her touch subconsciously.

“Just go to sleep, it’ll make you feel better.”

“Don’t want to…” They muttered softly, moving a little more. “I wanted to go out with Sloth.” He spoke quietly trying to fight the slowing of his heart rate. His eyes slowly closed, his chest rising and falling slowly. Pride’s fingers ran through Greed’s hair, tears filling his eyes. He chewed his bottom lip letting out another shaky breath. His hand shaky wiping tears from Greed’s face.

“Go to sleep.” He mumbled softness that Greed would never experience while awake. “You and Sloth can do stuff together later when you feel better.” ‘Bear’. He had to cut himself off before the unspoken nickname slipped out. When it was sure the man was asleep Pride let his tears fall, sniffling. She pressed a ghost of a kiss to Greed’s forehead.

“I’m sorry.” He repeated the apology over and over again. She softly sobbed as her head went to his chest listening to his faint heartbeat. She knew this was her fault, his emotions ran out of control because of her.

“I’m so sorry this is all my fault.”

You study Mammon over the rim of your mug, taking a sip of your drink and feeling its warmth spread through your system in an instant. You let out a quiet hum, continuing to study him as he sleeps face first on the sofa in his room. He looks so peaceful, serene. You almost don’t want to bother him, to just stay on his bed and drink away.

But the other half of you wants to touch, touch, touch. The cheek he’s laying on is red from him resting on it for too long, a bit of drool on the pillow under his head. He’s shirtless and his back and arms look smooth to the touch, begging for you to ghost your fingers over his soft skin.

“I can feel ya staring, yanno…”

Your eyes widen when he suddenly speaks, your round eyes meeting his golden ones. You’re met with a sleepy, yet smug, smirk, his tongue darting out to wet his lips.

“Did I wake you up?” you tease, standing up and walking over to his form. He lets out a long hum as he stretches his limbs a bit.

“Nah. Well…” he trails off, giving you a teasing look. “I think my body just missed yours.”

“Oh. Well, we can’t have that, can we?” you joke, setting your cup down on the side table by his head before climbing onto the couch. You sit yourself down on his butt, leaning forward to start rubbing your hands into his back. He sighs and groans with every knot you rub out of his back, a smirk on your lips now.

“God, I love ya…” he whispers, opening his eyes to look back up at you.

“I love you more, sleepyhead.”

RAD / academic headcanons! 🏫👿 [OM!]

(aka me exorcizing my college burnout via OM headcanons)

Headcanons about RAD and what the characters are studying and/or teaching! Timestamp: Season 1 (Lessons 1-20)

Lucifer:

🔹 more often teaching classes than attending them 🔹 teaches high-level curse studies as well as many other topics, varying according to demand. 🔹 he’s a polymath and he’ll make sure everyone knows it (pridy mcprideface) 🔹 also helps Diavolo with some RAD administrative stuff 🔹 currently teaching:

general curses: identification, detection, applications, and countercurses (advanced / very advanced) [he is making all his brothers take this class]

horticulture: care and cultivation of human world carnivorous plants

rare poisons: identification, applications, and effects (advanced / very advanced)

🔹 currently studying:

Rowa-period Devildom law

Rowa-period history

🔹 currently researching:

comparative law: Devildom vs. Celestial Realm (with Simeon)

Mammon:

💳 he’s highly specialized in topics related to his Sin. basically if it’s not greed-related, he has a hard time caring enough to do well 💳 often teaches lower-level classes bc he’s actually really good with the younger students 💳 currently teaching:

intro to Devildom economics (basic/intermediate)

cryptocurrency: human world innovations (all levels). (this is basically just him excitedly bouncing around in a classroom and rambling at the speed of light)

💳 currently studying:

general curses (advanced) [Lucifer’s class]

fine art: crystal sculpture (he uses his transmutation to sculpt clay and then transform it to crystal in place!!!) (the HC for his transmutation magic will be in another set of HCs)

💳 other classes he teaches sometimes:

special topics in Devildom economics (advanced/very advanced)

appraisal / evaluation of precious metals & gems (all levels)
