Have you ever watched Folding Ideas? He's made a lot of video essays that I recommend, but in particular I recommend 'A Lukewarm Defense of Fifty Shades of Grey', where he discusses the movie adaptation of the book. However the foreword (where he discusses the books) is something I think about often, especially in relation to Vivziepop. As a TL;DR, he discusses how Erika Mitchell's handling of dubious consent was criticized by a lot of people, *why* it was criticized, and her reaction to people's criticism. Erika's reaction to this criticism (and many other criticisms of her work) remind me a lot of Vivziepop, with accusations that others haven't read the book, that they're just haters, and the general idea that she has done no wrong and to insist otherwise is on *the reader* for taking it that way; Erika's "I didn't write about domestic abuse, so reading it that way makes you a bad person" and Viv's "stolitz isn't abusive and those who take it that way are bad people" are different flavours of the same deflection tactic.

I hate the “open floor plan” that everyone is obsessed with in houses now. I want nooks and crannies and bizarre floor plans. I don’t need to be able to see what someone is doing on the other side of the house. I want places to hide and lurk and dwell in the shadows. I am the beast who awaits in the labyrinth

You know when you’re on a road trip and sometimes make a quick stop, maybe at some little roadside attraction? In Hazbin and especially in Helluva Boss, where the premise is the main road, Viv takes so many stops to talk about shit that doesn’t have anything to do with the main premise that it becomes more of a side detail.

Helluva Boss is supposedly about A gang of imps killing people on earth. Out of the 15 episodes available so far, only five have any meaningful focus on that, the most recent one coming out two years and nine episodes later. Hazbin Hotel’s is all about redeeming people in the hotel, yet it’s mostly just a side hustle, with the hotel is less of a rehabilitation center and more of a main base/plot device for the protagonists to hang out in and fight for during the final battle.

It's what happens when you don't plan your story out ahead of time, don't believe in rough drafts, don't believe in taking criticism, and don't give a shit.

These parts of the fanbase for vivziepop shows scares me ngl. It seems like very normal fandom things, like basic criticism of the show and creator, or even just redesigns, get so much hate for no reason

Chai, have you heard of the “Cookie Cutter Shark?” Apparently they get their name for the cookie sized holes they leave and were even know for biting the rubber off of submarines. They’re a deep sea shark, but holy shit they can do some damage.

Oh yeah, I used to have this Animal Planet computer game as a kid and learned about them from there. Still wasn't prepared for how much damage they can do or how freaky they look.

I've dealt with Artsy before. She was beefing with someone I was working with, but they ignored her and I guess she gave up? I'm not sure if she continued, but basically my friend and everyone who was acquainted with her blocked Artsy. It worked because it's many years later and I'm barely hearing about her again. See? Some people just don't change.

Millie the bad guy I guess. I don't understand, the short was going fine before it turned weirdly sappy and emotional. Can her women have one fucking scene where they just get to be happy? And not villainized?

God forbid Millie get married, move to the city, and leave her grown ass adult sister alone save for the company of their very large family.

What's up with morgana and social media? I don't really have twitter so I'm out of the loop with that.

Morgana's always been an enormous asshole on social media and it's only gotten worse since Viv promoted her to social media manager.

When Erin Frost criticized Sallie Mae's constant crotch bulges in all the mech she appeared in and the fact that Viv changed the ftm brother Erin designed for Millie into a cis one, Morgana was the one responsible for spreading the ugly (and bizarre) rumor that Erin was transphobic and jealous that Sallie Mae had the spotlight instead of Millie's brother. Never mind that Erin has a trans fiancee, or that she designed all of Millie's siblings including Sallie Mae.

When Viv was being criticized for writing Raph's rape fetish comic into the show and then lying about Raph being an SA survivor, Morgana had this to say.

She also flashed her ass at a convention and posted pictures of it like the classy face of Spindlehorse she is, so there's that.

Now that Sallie May has more than two lines of dialogue I can say that Morgana is a terrible voice actress, the whole short i felt like she was reading her lines from a piece of paper for the first time.

Yeah, it was stiff as a board. And god help us all if she gets wind that people are critiquing it...she's a known social media temper tantrum thrower and Viv will let her say anything.

Story time

So a long time ago, my ex (the one who couldn’t flip a pancake) cheated on me and slept with another guy (who was known for fucking girls younger than him and had his own PREGNANT girlfriend at the time as well), she was confronted about this by my brother, and she broke up with me after that through text.

I was only told about the cheating by my brother and she only texted me that she needed some time to work things out and that she still loves me and she hopes that one day, we can get back together

It was honestly a bit relieving she broke up with me, since she wasn’t able to clean after herself, wouldn’t shower, and got pissy i didn’t visit her one time because I was sick. Why didn’t I break up with her? Simple, I thought she would go visit Satan and stay in hell for the rest of eternity.

Anyways, I want to end this ask on a funny note, so when I was ten, me and brothers would play a game. They kick balls at me while I stood there, it was my idea.
