Saw the short. Pretty cute. Millie's scant character development still regulated to a side-short, Morgana still a terrible social media manager and person, Viv still took Millie's trans brother and made him cis and called trans men delusional and misgenders trans people she hates on purpose.

Vivziepop having a noncon fetish and enjoying problematic ships like Valanagel wouldn’t bother me if it wasn’t for her denial of it. She lied about handling SA in a serious way and attacked SA survivors, who criticized her for it.
Vivziepop either should’ve owned up to inserting her noncon fetish into Hazbin Hotel or should’ve never put it there in the first place. However, she wants to have it both ways and gets mad when she’s told she can’t.
This. The problem isn't Viv (and Raph's) noncon kink or their ships, it's how their overall handling of SA manifested in the show, and how Viv responded when called out on that.
Believe it or not, there actually is a difference between creating something for yourself and your friends online and creating something that's meant to be watched by millions of people on a streaming service.

I think a big reason why Vivziepop's popularity in general is on the decline (besides her usual controversies) is that more and more people are realizing that she is creatively bankrupt. What I mean by that is that all she has is Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, which have lackluster writing and honestly the worst version of hell ever created so far, after she just up and decided to drop Zoophobia. And the idea of all these spin off shows alone doesn't help either.
Meanwhile you have Tracy's Lackadaisy which is just cats being mobsters during prohibition era St. Louise, nothing more, nothing less and it is honestly one of its biggest benefits.
You also have artist like Fearcrowz and their works. Look at Fear's Knell, it's a horror/drama story taking place in a some sort of hospital that might be purgatory, then there's Nightlight which is a story about a town full of monsters and In-Between which is about angels and demons after a girl for some reason. Even when she recycles the same character, they at least look different enough to fit in the respective world they are in.
Meanwhile Kedi has Afterlife which is about witches and fate and the idea that what separates life and death and heaven and hell is all bureaucracy and that horror thing that is hard to pronounce, hell, and even back when AoM was still being worked on, the idea of a school for monsters and a boy who gets his entire world flipped upside down because of this revelation was very creative.
Then there's Idolo with their Bugtopia and Monsters and Girls series both of which are very creative and unique.
The point I'm trying to make is that what separates Tracy, Fear, and Kedi, and Idolo from Vivziepop is that the former are creative and have created different worlds and different stories that end and of themselves are very creative even if they use concepts and ideas that have been done before but are tried and true meanwhile you have Vivziepop recycling the same world that you honestly wouldn't know is hell unless it's spelled out to you because it looks like it could be any city in the US, the same characters being recycled for spin offs that no one asked for, not improving on her writing, and just outright stealing ideas and characters from other people and claiming them as her own.
That's another reason why her popularity is in the decline and her creativity is very stagnated. Sorry for the long rant but this is something I wanted to bring up.
Nah, no apologies needed, it's a good rant! It's true. The unfortunate fact of the matter is that even aside from the controversies, aside from literally everything else there is to not like about Viv, there's very little to appeal to anyone that isn't already madly in love with her shows.
Viv's shows exist for herself first, her existing fanbase second, and she's having a harder and harder time holding onto them.

Also got to love the fact that we've got a short centered round Millie and her sister, not a male character in sight, and Viv didn't even write it.

The Virgin Vivienne Medrano: Has characters from completely different eras of time that all dress and speak almost identically, with very little hinting towards their background
The Chad Tracy Butler: Has a near encyclopedic knowledge on the time period her work takes place in, and has the background music edited to better reflect that
Remember kids, if you ever want to make an indie cartoon that features historical fiction, be a Tracy, not a Vivziepop
Also gotta love the fact that Tracy makes adjustments to her story to accommodate the tone that's needed. Viv still hasn't figured out how to do that.

Viv is just so uninterested in her female characters... Why doesn't she just make a yaoi? Why does she just not set out to tell an explicit gay love story? Why does she keep derailing series to focus on her favorite male and his romantic interest? Why doesn't she just set out and have her pilots be about smutty gay romance???
It'd be super interesting to see her try, actually. Maybe it would actually work to her advantage, but my hunch is that it would crash and burn like HB. Good love stories require empathy and a basic understanding of how relationships work, and Viv has neither.

As someone who lives with parents that constantly argue whenever they around with each other, would tremble in fear when they talk normally because of the fear that they will fight again, begging mom to not to come with dad whenever we go outside because they also fight, they don't divorce even though how much my mom wants to divorce; I'm honestly hurt that Octavia was called a slut just because she was "cockblocking" stolitz.
How tf can you call a child with divorced parents a "slut"??????
(sorry if its looks likes a vent)
No apologies needed. It's a horrible place to be in and it's hard to believe that anyone could be involved with the production of not one, but two scenes of Octavia breaking down in tears because her home life is falling apart and joke about her being "a cockblocking slut."

Randomly went on TikTok for Mordecai Heller stuff (an average Lackadaisy fan) and I've been watching Hellerby stuff. It's cute and fun and whatnot HOWEVER.
One specific video, there was a comment that asked "Why does this feel like the opposite Blitzo and Stolas?" and someone replied "cause it's actually well written"
I snorted hard enough to where it hurt it was amazing.
Here's the video if you want the link :)

Shouldn't Cherri not be ready for an relationship?
She has a backstory where she had an ex so like she should be like : "hey old man, no harsh feelings but I had a shitty ex in the past so like I don't ready to have any relationship right now. Sorry!"
That would give her some agency and humanity. Not on Viv's watch!

Sorry I gotta vent about what I perceive as a huge goddamn plot hole in helluva boss-specifically the episode “OOPS” b/c like…
Why the hell was Blitzø not able to give Fizz the card?? Why did he throw it on the ground and walk away??? Like, he goes to Fizz’s birthday party, Fizz is OBVIOUSLY very happy to see him, and then Blitzø just??? Walks away???
The ONLY thing I can think of is that Blitzø had low self esteem at that point/maybe didn’t think he was good enough for Fizz? and that’s hinted at with the “wish you were my son” card buckzo gives fizz but like??? I don’t know am I going crazy? Is this actually a “media literacy” situation and I’m just missing something???
And b/c of all the retcons of season 1 and season 1’s character development, there’s very little we actually get to SEE of young Blitzø’s life and how he developed his sense of self hatred that may lead to him walking away from Fizz like that, especially when Fizz is so clearly happy to see him. It’s not too hard to fill in the blanks, but regardless it seems like the scene with Blitzo throwing down the card and starting the fire was only set up that way so the writers could put in a weird misunderstanding as the crux of the conflict between Fizz and Blitz.
It’s like they’re saying “don’t worry audience! Nothing actually complicated happened. It was all just a big misunderstanding. Blitz actually wanted to confess his feelings to Fizz but couldn’t and accidentally set the circus on fire! The only reason the two of them didn’t make amends because “they told me you didn’t want to see me”
VIV. GIRL. WHO THE FUCK IS THEY??? AND WHY WOULD “THEY” STOP BLITZØ OR FIZZ FROM SEEING EACH OTHER
Idk I feel crazy about this but that whole episode was just so bad in places and I don’t even know what setups from season 1 are still supposed to be canon and this whole fucking thing is just a goddamn mess…
Almost like that whole flashback needed more time, maybe even an entire episode devoted to it, but Viv had more important things to focus on, like showing off Alex Brightman singing and jokes about Asmodeus's kaiju sized cock.
And you just know that if any of it does end up being referenced down the line, it's a pleasant bonus, not something to expect. Not from a show like this.

Wouldn't a Fizz spinoff just be what Helluva Boss has become, just with a different coat of paint? Just swapping out Blitz x Stolas with Fizz x Ozzie as the main focus doesn't feel like a good enough reason to waste animation on if Viv is only interested in seeing her new favorite ship further. But then again, the chances of the spinoff happening are as high as Helluva Boss having a third and fourth season...
Pretty much, yeah. It'd be Helluva Boss without that window of time when we all believed it was going to be about something more substantial than Viv indulging in her favorite ship.

At first, I really didn't mind about Cherri. Like no hate, no love, just a meh character to me. But after everything happened in the show, she just gives me ick when I see her.
Same. She went from being Angel's best friend and lifeline (while also having an implied tragic backstory of her own) to just another patented Vivzie shitty woman. She gives me the ick too.

These parts of the fanbase for vivziepop shows scares me ngl. It seems like very normal fandom things, like basic criticism of the show and creator, or even just redesigns, get so much hate for no reason
It's wild. I've never seen anything like it and I've been in some rough fandoms before.
