LOL YES I don't know how I never thought to look if someone had ripped the sprites, this is absolute gold thank you. it always makes me laugh, he looks like those silly keychains with big eyes you can get where they pop out when you squeeze them. they need to get on making merch like that shsjfbskgbskgjs

this is exhibit a of Eggman having white sclera in the games so I bring it up a lot in my debates of it too

can also count Mania Adventures now as it was already considerably canon but it's been in a game now with all the parts being in the museum in Origins too

sorry red irises black sclera fans, it's canon that he's got white sclera consistently! western cover arts for the classic games giving him empty black void eyes that inspired the red and black look wasn't their vision and they had no say in any decisions for his canon design

and when they do give him colored irises, they're blue with 06 which I love so much more than red, don't need generic red for evil when blue for icy coldness fits way better! 💙 and since the only time we've seen them on regular modern and not 06 in game didn't have colored irises, this is how I think they should look when he does and when his eyes aren't bulging out their sockets after taking damage lol

I love how he always looks weird/creepy/silly/crazy with his eyes visible in the games, he never looks normal and it's not just because we hardly get to see them. it fits perfectly with how unique and goofy and crazy looking he is as a whole too, which is why it's better than them being edgy looking too. he doesn't need red and black eyes to be uncanny and I love that so much XD

hello, ther, i am gently stepping outside the for,est ,on the gras s and sniffin, you gently and shyly, to, ask yuo about not only offline au but also the, mlp au,,

Oh my, my first ask!! And it's about my aus. You shot me right in the heart!! :D

Okay so first, my offline au. There's a post somewhere that explains where it came from, but I essentially created it after spending long hours in Offline Practice due to unstable internet/in my younger days I was scared of strangers. The basis of the au is the question: What if the bots in offline practice are sentient?

And there are a lot of ways you can take it:

You can see it from the player's perspective, where you are going through your normal day playing on pl_badwater and slowly realize that the bots are avoiding you or playing a little too smart... and then you start noticing nuances in their previously faceless expressions... and then they go off the script.

Or You can see it from the bots' perspective, where you wonder why you've never seen the world beyond the battlefield... or why the hell the enemy team's sniper is wearing a banana on his head, or why he is somehow always a step ahead, or where did he even come from, what happened to the old one what do you mean he never existed

Not to mention the world.. But to keep it simple, the au is basically offline practice played straight. Currently I am focusing on the bot's perspective in relation to the player. In this, the 'bots' are the usual mercenaries, normal, old dudes trying to do their gravel war job, and then there's the player who's well, like any other player. Any other player who just wants some fun and after playing offline practice long enough gets bored enough to try out console commands.

And as you can imagine, it's scary! The au is basically cosmic horror with the player being an eldritch, incomprehensible being to the bots/mercs. I take everything that we do as players, from casually jumping off cliffs to stabbing our teammates in casual fun, and explore it in a serious context from the perspective of normal people like the mercs. Even the greater concepts of TF2 like respawn.. It's a very meta au, and I can go very in depth about the concepts I want to explore and shit, like what it means to be a human being, what meaning can you find in an existence plagued by a being like this, what even is the player, the implications, but I think this post is long enough... so I must forgo. It's just spooky tf2 au hahah!

I should also mention the more lighthearted version which is the training mode au. It's the same thing but instead of the player being scary they're just a newbie and the bots try to teach them how to be decent. It's very cracky lol but I turn to it when the horror gets too much.

Now for the mlp au, unfortunately it's not too fleshed out :[ I mean I have the groundwork laid out in my mind, it's basically my darker, grittier mlp au mixed up with tf2. Though of course it's still got the same friendship is magic concepts, because I don't think making something serious/darker means you have to make it edgy and deprive it of its nature, but yeah. There are concepts I have, like batponies and how their civilization mirrors new zealand sinking but with the whole princess luna being banished, and things but I need more specific questions, it's hard for me to explain generally without making like a 5 page essay xD

Anyway THANK YOU! I am very thrilled to talk about my aus, especially offline au. Maybe I should've broken it up because it's like two seperate aus xD but idk how to do that. I'm sorry if this is less refined than I usually write or disjointed, but I am just very excited. If this isn't what you meant/if you wanted a more in-depth answer, feel free to ask!!

The name Robin in Reverse Robins AU...

...doesn't exist. In mine, at least. You see, Talia used to call Damian her little shrike. The thing is, she did it in Arabic. The problems is that I write this AU in Russian and... In Russian shrike is сорокопут (if the wiktionary doesn't lie, it is pronounced as [sərəkɐˈput]) and it's a.... long ass word. So in the field it's totally useless as codename. And if i just put Shrike in it as Шрайк it sounds not edgy but funny and clumsy. And if you pronounce it fast it kinda sounds as Shrek, and, well, it's not what I want, obviously. Because I don't want vigilante name sounding ridiculous. I mean, more than they all already do. So... Sardu, yes. Or al Sard. I asked my father (who knows Arabic a little, i hope it was enough) to confirm, and, well. Sardu. Al Sard. Or, "as Sardu", "as" instead of "al". الصرد. the "r" not being english sound here. So. The Gotham mostly knows their little carnivous Bird as Shrike (well, some media tried to call him Shadow, hm). (and yes, still Сорокопут in my Russian text) But, well, in most stressful situation, or when Batman needs Damian to calm down, or get attention, or as the last method to stop from doing something (*cough* killing *cough*) he would use Sardu. Сарду. Сард. Not the 'Sardinian language', guys xD sorry for bad english and everything shjskdkdl

Also, Batman didn't fire him. Damian just outgrew his role of Shrike the Gotham's Shadow, violent sidekick of Batman; they were starting to argue a lot, Damian being always angry like he was when he just got to Bruce; and our dumb boy B didn't realize what was the problem. So, no real kdrama, just Damian being pissed because of his father not acknowleging him as equal. Because, you know, in the League by this age (16) he would be already a rightful Hand of the Demon, like his Mother was. And, well, an adult. Lol. So..... He dissapears, leaving only a note with 'freedom' in Arabic (he is his dramatic father's dramatic son, after all), Cass stays home, Bruce doesn't panic because Damian is far too good to easily get in trouble even in anger and alone, but he is, of course, worried. That is, until he finds out that Damian is still talking to Alfred and just ignoring his father. Also Alfred acting rather cold towards Master Bruce, and Bruce is like: "What did i even do wrong?????!!! He left himself, I didn't make him!"

Blüdhaven gains its own Shadow when the Gotham's one dissapears. (Some time ago he heard his father making plans about spreading Bat's influence and his trustworthy allies across the world. But before that, he was talking about trying to clean up Bludhaven. Damian doesn't become a symbol in this city like he was in Gotham. He just continues to silently terrify and catch criminals. He also realizes that without support of the police it's a little harder. Considering that there is no Gordon to fight alongside him, Blüdhaven police department is a nightmare to deal with, more corrupted. Infiltrating as a policeman would make it easier to purify the city, but Damian is not that desperate: he's not going to actually work with people, for god's sake!.. Yet. Also, would Jon Kent a. k. a. Flamebird stop trying to sell him a name Nightwing already?! He's not going to wear a Kryptonian legend just to humor him!..)

Bruce is also a little bitter, even if he doesn't let himself think about it much. Because, well, his partner left him alone. And for what. For Blüdhaven! Unbelievable. What is his son even trying to prove, living in that hole...

But, ah, well. It doesn't matter, because before Damian arrived, Batman kept everything under control, he's strong enough to do it alone, right? Right. If he's not focused enough to work all by himself, trying to get done the same amount of work they used to do together, getting injured more, exhausting himself, it's only his problem. No one else's.

Then why, after all that shit, does Tim Drake still show up at the door with diagrams, graphs, and PowerPoint presentation?

There aren't a lot of people who analyze Deku, and I've been desperate to geek out about him for a while XD. Just tell me if you want to not message as much. Your analysis on Izuku's anger reminded me of the parallels between Shigaraki and Deku. They both share serious anger issues.

I know media often undervalues the seriousness of murderous rage, but I feel it has narrative importance. Tenko's willingness to kill his father indicated some serious rage issues, even early on. In the same way, Izuku's attack on Shigaraki after Bakugou gets hurt indicates some serious rage issues. You get the sense that somebody was going to wind up dead or severely maimed if Deku got his way. I felt that was a pretty important parallel since Izuku does have empathy for Shigaraki, and Tomura harbors confused feelings about his dad. How similar do you think Shigaraki and Deku's tempers are? I got the sense that they aren't nearly as different as they'd like to think. Deku often seems ashamed of himself when he has selfish/ugly thoughts, repressing them quickly. To me, this indicated that Deku's knee jerk reactions to events aren't as sweet as he'd like them to be. This feeling only grew stronger when Deku remarked that he empathizes with the villains, and their reasons. I'm not trying to make Deku seem more edgy btw, I just noticed that someone as pure hearted as Deku is the last person you'd expect to understand the villains so much. While he went through bad things, he seems to act nobly to a fault. This, combined with his rare moment of shame, made me think that he represses resentment and anger a lot.

NO PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING I LOVE GEEKING OUT ABOUT HIM!!!! I’m glad you brought up shigaraki, there’s a lot of things I didn’t cover in that meta that I really wanted to but it was already super long and information packed so I had to just put it out lol.

I think shigarakis rage and his urge to destroy is actually apart of his quirk! Toga established that quirks affect personality and decision making, and I noticed in the most recent chapter shigaraki says this

I knew his itch was going to be important and no one has said yet that it’s due to his lack of actual destruction. He NEEDS to destroy things or he’s left with this both mental and physical itch that he can’t stop.

To be honest? I think this mental/physical itch is a physical representation of him having to hide and bury himself when around his father. He killed his father with no hesitation because of what he had done and how he abused him. Does that make it right? No, is he also barely 8 years old? Yes. I also fear that if the dad for one theory becomes canon, then that may mean another parallel between shigaraki and deku. Where deku kills his father with no hesitation because of what he did to his “brother” and also what he did to Katsuki. Boy’s got major anger issues that no one has called out because the hero world sees it as “potential” or “recklessness” and only wants to fix the surface level problem as if it doesn’t deeply affect the ins and outs of his mental and physical health. It will ultimately be his downfall and that’s why shigafo is taking advantage of that.

Because it’s not JUST his love of Katsuki that’s making him have these massive rage fits that almost destroy cities people. It’s simply unsafe to have someone working in the field with no true way of dealing with their emotional outbursts. And I’m saying this from the perspective of someone who has manic episodes and wants to work around kids! Sometimes it’s just unsafe for me to do so BECAUSE of the rage fits I get and the blatant carelessness. He has to find a way to deal with it by confronting the issue directly. It’s not just love, it’s trauma.

So, yeah, I think they’re both extremely similar. They are an amazing foil in every single way. ALSO, when you said that Izuku was embarrassed by these emotions and outbursts it reminded me a lot of uraraka!

Uraraka and deku are parallels a lot of ways, but I feel like their main parallel comes down to the villains they choose to save. They are both saving villains who have the same problems they do that they’re ASHAMED of having. Uraraka character development wise has progressed farther than deku due to who she’s saving (someone who has always been seen as an outcast over someone who could’ve and wanted to be a hero) but I still think it’s very similar. I also believe that deku is gonna start having the same realizations that she did when she was talking to him in 342. He was literally used as a plot device to bounce ideas off of which is why the entire chapter just seems like a slap in the face to izu//ochas.

Also don’t be afraid to be a lil edgy lol. They’re teenagers, they’re a bit dramatic and edgy overall eidbidndudj

-She’s looking for her sister. Alear 100%

-What does getting Sommie to max joy do anyways? Oh well, making the littler bugger happy is fun XD

-Alear Yunaka C: I can’t stop hearing Ahri when Yunaka talks lol. “I’ve merc’d a time or two,” okay that was legitimately nice word play. Honestly, I like Yunaka most when she slips into killer mode when she scores crits. I’m probably trying to read too deep into her, but I’m curious where her real self starts and ends.

-Louis Yunaka C: Louis gives her tea. What is it with Firenans and tea. Louis asks Yunaka about her family, Yunaka kinda dodges the question and Louis tactfully withdraws. Not much happens here, but I suspect we’re building to something.

-Citrinne uses big hurty lightning \o/

-Celine Louis C: T E A. Celine likes to smell her tea. Louis knows where special tea is and Celine’s excited.

-Alcryst Citrine C: Citrine’s training, Alcryst praises her for it. She’s upset about not being strong enough for some reason.

-Hmm, seems I can’t actually take master seals into battle, that’s interesting.

-On to Brodia castle and chapter 8.

-Oh wow, Brodia castle looks even harder to take than Firene castle.

-Diamant is coming to greet us, hopefully he doesn’t take a shot at us or try to start an international incident.

-There’s something off-puting about Diamant’s eyes.

-Morion’s voice actor is terrible.

-Diamant apparently argues with Morion not to leave the castle. What, is he not capable of defending himself in this kingdom of might? Also the game actually froze in the middle of Morion’s dialogue for a bit, I never had that happen in Three Houses.

-It happened again lol.

-Morion just tosses Roy’s ring at Diamant, wtf... I know I’m supposed to see him as good-hearted and friendly, but he’s just acting like a another doofus.

-Here’s Roy. Thank god his summoning tune wasn’t a remix of Beyond the Fucking Sky. Or at least not one I recognized.

-Oh hey, here Ivy. “She’s dodging all our wyverns’ attacks.” We’ll see if that translates to gameplay lol.

-Ivy’s gonna take my life and my soul. Oh boy, more edgy cliches. At least she’s not as annoying as Hortensia. Oh she’s actually remorseful.

-Oohhh, the Sage Lord was Leif.

-Oh christ I already don’t like Amber.

-Citrinne got a Constance level! \o/ Oh well, with her meh base speed she might as well quadruple-down on poking. Besides, I have Celine when I need a monster-fast mage (17 speed roflmao)

-Etie’s decision to just really really stupid strong worked out when she dealt Zelkov a crushing 22 damage with a crappy Longbow, lol.

-Zelkov is like he's trying to be Hubert but he doesn't realize part of the charm is Hubert just embraces who he is and also takes it out for a romantic evening. At least he’s not lacking in noticeable character traits like Kagetsu.

-”With this ring, nothing and no-one will take me down.” They all say that. Then I send Celine after them.

-We got Leif \o/

-”Emblem of Genealogy” I really fucking hate how Leif is representing Genealogy Gen 2 rather than Thracia.

-”How could I have failed,” you flew straight into an ambush.

-Wait, did we just let Ivy leave???

-King Hyacinth is trying to challenge Morion into combat.

-Morion is toss around death flags like crazy. No idea why Diamant is so afraid when Brodia has been at war with Elusia for ages.

-Diamant is boring as shit as a character. Morion’s supposed to be jolly and fun but he’s just an idiot.

-Finally we reference whether or not Alear can turn into a dragon. She absolutely will before the end.

-Oh my god, Catherine’s alive and she got old and came to Brodia!!!

-Celine Alear B: TEA. Seems bandits are attacking tea trade routes. What is it with Firenans and tea. Eve is sending Celine after the bandits because... she knows the most about tea? What? Alear asks what she’ll do, Celine says she’ll “drive them off with pranks”. Celine, you’re like my best soldier, just go kill them all \o/ Celine laments that real life isn’t so fanciful, then she raises things to 11 by saying she’ll do whatever it takes to protect her people. I mean I have her burn my foes to death easily but eh.

-Oh nice this game carries over Echoes’s weapon transformation system. Except unlike Echoes it gives you materials at better than a drip-feet.

-Framme Chloe A: Oh my god, it’s still the same scene. Framme accidentally gave Chloe a sandwich of fried bugs. This is literally just their B support being repeated!

-Celine Etie B: T E A. Turns out Alfred almost died when he was young and Celine had to toughen up because of it. Etie’s hand is still trembling. Oh she’s using her weird weighted teacups again. Celine’s handled cannonballs???

Celine Alcryst C: Celine’s out late because she can’t sleep. She admits to having recurring nightmares due to lingering trauma of when Alfred was sickly, Alcryst says he fears Diamant dying too. This one was legitimately a good support convo, it’s like something from 3H.

-Citrine Clanne C: Citrinne bugs me, she’s trying to be a refined mature lady but she’s got the same babyface as the other girls. Clanne’s trying to help a withered wildfowe, Citrinne is pleased for it. I think this has something to do with her obsession with getting stronger.

-Oohh, gold corrupted. I wanna see what that’s all about.

-Oh no, the fog of war is back.

-Alear Alcryst C: Alear almost gets ambushed... by a wolf. Alcryst asks the wolf to leave Alear alone... and then begs it to leave... This is worse than anything Bernadetta ever did.

-I began a relay just now. Later I shall see what the ignorant masses achieve with my incredible Louis, Celine, and Chloe.

-Celine Alcryst B: Turns out Morion stupidly made Alcryst worry that his father and brother will die. Alcryst goes to check Diamant whenever he’s woken by his nightmares. They pledge to support each other.

-Alcryst Diamant C: They’re sparring. Diamant is mostly trying to help out Alcryst’s mindset, but Alcryst is stubbornly pessimistic. It ends on Alcryst wondering if Diamant has any weaknesses.

-Alcryst Lapis C: Alcryst vows to protect Lapis because he thinks he’s worthless, but it makes Lapis really uncomfortable.

-Vander Amber C: Vander is devoted and stuff, Amber’s stupidly looking for a legendary weapon he thinks might be at the Somniel because he’s Amber and he’s stupid. Vander tells Amber he needs to make a weapon legendary by becoming legendary.

Okay Colosseum rant time.

Pokemon Colosseum came to me because, naturally, I was a Pokemon kid. Not only was I a Pokemon kid, though, I was specifically a Gen2 kid. I grew up with Red and Yellow, sure, but Gold and Silver were mine and my sister's (respectively), specifically. Crystal was the first game I fell in true and hard love with, all because I loved Gold and what does Crystal add? The female protagonist who I adopted into myself pretty immediately.

Colosseum has a lot going against it, to be fair. It's main goal is to get fans to spend money and a BUTTLOAD of time to maximise profits and drag out the whole completing the Pokedex thing for Gen3. It's got no wild Pokemon, is double battles only (which was new and scary then and is still contentious???? with fans today???), AND there are only 48 available Pokemon. Less so for the main campaign!!

But for me, it just...works.

For one, the Orre region was the first region based on the US. That's huge to begin with, but it's more personal to me as it's based specifically on the southwest US, which is where I lived for a good majority of my life. The desert is familiar to me and so Orre has a real certain charm to me.

For two, it's edgy lol with crime and darkness everywhere in the same vein as Jak 2, which I enjoyed watching my sister play (I could not play it myself) and was definitely in the age range for it to work. (Hell I think Wes might be the start of my love for white-haired anime boys hahaha) But for real, the idea of Shadow Pokemon is so neat. Pokemon that have closed their hearts off from humans, even willing to attack humans and grow so wild they literally will not listen to you or accept healing. Fascinating! They are mechanically kinda boring, sure, but narratively?? There's so much to do with them!

Three, I actually like double battles a lot! This game is single-handedly the reason, too. I get so upset I usually reset if I miss one of the double battle opportunities in the other games hahaha. Apparently this is an unpopular opinion??? I just want more Pokemon games that are only double battles like this one, I dunno what else to say. (I like pairs.)

Four, your starters are an Umbreon and Espeon!! A hint that our protag Wes is actually a kind Trainer because friendship evolutions!! And remember I'm a Gen2 kid, so Espeon and Umbreon mean a lot to me (and also they are paired forever for me now because of this game. Seeing people take Umbreon off their team because "stats" reasons never fails to make me sad). I even did a whole playthrough of this game using only my Umbreon and Espeon and this game is actually built to combat that! Which fascinates me, too.

Five, again with the Gen2 thing, I was definitely obsessed with the big legendary cat trio as a kid. Entei was always my fave (thanks Pokemon movie 3) (also my natural affinity for Fire types), but I also liked Suicune a lot due to Crystal (and hey! My sis' fave of the bunch is Raikou), so this trio being the big legendaries of this game really appealed to me.

(This is also why XD disappointed me so much, so many Kanto Pokemon.... but a different rant)

Lastly, the soundtrack is an absolute banger!! I love like every single song in this game, but I have also beaten this game like five times over by this point so I've grown very fond of all of them.

I get that this game ain't for everyone. Pokemon fans are generally just not fond of having their options so limited like this (see: Dex outcry time and time again), but it can also get a bit grindy and that ending challenge is... a big one. (Y'all why do you ask for harder difficulties but then decry them when they appear....? Y'all baffle me.) I have never failed to make my sis or friends fall asleep when I play this game while they watch (and to be fair, I get caught in the grind wayyy more often than most).

But it's a weird thing to call it outright bad or just made up of bad decisions?? Like Tama pls you don't have to like it, no one's forcing you to like it, you don't gotta call it absolute garbage. It was formed from terrible marketing shit, yeah, but it's also just not your type of game.

But it sure as hell my type of jam lol. I wasn't even able to get past the Suicune battle for like the first ten years I owned the game and I still loved the shit outta it. I remember restarting the game a lot just to get stuck there again and again and never once was I actually frustrated. For some reason. I was upset about not being able to catch Suicune because I was bad at Pokemon, but never frustrated with the actual game.

And now I've beaten it five times over and I'm sure I'll beat it many times more. So yeah 10/10 game for me personally but 6/10 game when recc'ing it to others for real only 48 available Pokemon and huge difficulty spike right at the finale.

Antera, the Avenger of Heartbreak💔

If Eufrene's the personification of my hope, love, happiness, innocence, and vulnerability, then Antera here is the personification of my anger, heartbreak, sadness, resentment, guilt and apathy.

Man, I don't know where to start with this character. I don't know if it's because I'm still grieving the breakup, but I paid a little more attention to her. I know my rambles of this OC will be all over the place, and it's not a proper OC introduction...But please bear with me, I'm still new to taking this OC thing seriously lol.

If I can describe Antera with one phrase, it'd be "peace was never an option". XD

She's impatient, hella petty, prideful, and definitely thinks violence is always answer. Resentment and sheer spite fuels her. More importantly; she absolutely despises being restrained. Kinda like all the times I suppressed my anger in all the times my ex has ignored me for some time, and the resentment just builds up to where I get angry at him about that in other unrelated arguments. However, she is great at standing up for herself and calling out bullshit.

In the post about Eufrene, I mentioned that during the break up my ex said, "you're an angel, and I'm the devil. Leave me alone so the fires will engulf me".

....That's adorable, but I disagree.

Designing Antera was a challenge with trying to achieve scary and edgy vibes. I really took risks and stepped out of my comfort zone with her. Designing Eufrene was kinda easy since I usually draw cute things, so getting that cute-creepy look came natural to me. However, she could go through some design changes too.

I've been sketching designs of Antera since last April; and in the early stages, I visualized her as this demon goth princess that gives off spoiled brat vibes. But when I drew that, it had the same cute-creepy energy that Eufrene has (that's why I gave her a thorn crown and these sheer, lacey sleeves and skirt to show at least a touch of that).

And I wanted this character to be cursed and scary. Being abandoned by my ex was a scary experience for me, so I want my vent OC that represents heart break to portray that.

I also experimented with military lolita styles. That was kinda fun, but it didn't seem right.

Until I read something about anger that really resonated with me. I don't know where I read this; whether if this was someone on Reddit or in an article, but someone wrote that anger protects us, and it's what guards us from suicide.

So, I designed her to be tall with a strong build (drawing muscles is way harder than it looks! >0<). She's a cyborg demon. At one point, I wanted to design her with armor, but I didn't want her design to be too complicated. However, I did leave the demon wing-like shoulder armor on.

The hardest things about character design for me is:

Trying to avoid making the OC it look like someone else's OC or an established character. Combining your favorite aesthetics and inspirations combats this. The more you combine, the better, but the fear of being a copycat is always there. ^^; Trying to balance the design between the extremes of simple and complicated. I don't wanna make the design so simple that it looks basic, and I don't wanna make the design so complicated that it's difficult to draw over and over again, or to the point where it looks tacky and cluttered. To be honest, I think Antera's design is a tiny bit too much. But I'm still thinking whether to simplify it or keep it.

For the cyborg part, I may or may not re-design the metal arms. Still trying to figure out how to design that type of stuff.

Now about her face....bruh, I tried so hard to design something that is really terrifying. Drawing her expressions will be interesting.

I'd like to thing she used to have a normal face until the mentally scarring shit I've gone through has affected her physically.

When I cry, I feel this burning sensation in my face and eyes before the tears fall, so I decided to exaggerate that on her face. Like the negative emotions I experience from being abandoned is depicted as the mechanical parts on the layer beneath her face overheating so much, it distorts, melts, and burns parts of her face and eyes. Which also explains why she doesn't have any lips, nose, eyebrows or eyelashes. Nor the lower part of her face that reveals her metallic mandible. Drawing burn marks and scars on her face was also something new to me.

Other aesthetics include the usual weirdcore stuff like the eyes. I even got inspiration from the human body's circulatory system with the design around the eye on her chest that connects to her shoulder armor. And of course, I included broken hearts, heartbeat waves (could also be interpreted as sound waves too since she loves listening to music) into her design and tear-shaped red jewels as a symbol of pain.

...The edge is so real with this one lol.

Oh, and the name Antera is derived from Anteros, the Greek god of requited love, and the avenger of unrequited love.

Difference between scene and emo? Nothing. We were both immature. Basically, emo kids were depressed cutters, and scene was happy colorful emo. Same shit. 🙂

"Scene queen" was a term for popular emo kids on MySpace and Vampirefreaks. They posted outfit ideas on Polyvore. But SSENSE GOT GREEDY AND TOOK IT DOWN. 🤑🤑🤑 Just to add note, WEHEARTIT WAS THE SAME! They got greedy and deleted a part of hipster history. And don't forget VIACOM. This is so sweet! I agree, both sites have their issues but I’m so glad I kept my tumblr active after the 2018 debacle. I did leave it alone for a bit, but after being active on both sites simultaneously for a little over a year now tumblr is definitely the better user experience imo.

Eridan has always been my favorite troll!!! I was a big greek mythology kid and have always loved the ocean, so both Eridan and Feferi were my automatic favorites (act 5 act 2 was a difficult time for me 🙃). Eridan won out just BARELY as my *favorite* favorite bc 1.) more obvious mythology/mediterranean history references, 2.) seahorse, 3.) wow, I like history too! and 4.) the cape is just…a LOOK. He’s a cool character! All the trolls are cool characters! It’s always bummed me out that people write him off as “the worst one” when he’s clearly just like. A bumbling edgy 13 year old from Planet Murder trying to be a supervillain in the most ineffectual way possible. It’s hilarious. Feferi even calls him out SUPER early for not actually having the guts nor the desire to go through with his “doomsday plans” and that’s…very endearing to me?? I’m not sure why a lot of people just gloss over that and take this kid’s word for it that he is DEFINITELY actually evil and he is DEFINITELY gonna blow everyone up! Including all his friends! He’ll do it! Any day now! Prommy!!! AM I BEING A GOOD VIOLET YET ARE YOU PROUD OF ME DUALSCAR

Sollux is a whole different can of worms, because I really didn’t appreciate how cool he was until I came back to homestuck as an adult. I think in any medium other than a webcomic he would have been one of my favorites from the jump, but for some reason I just found it really hard to read his text color as a kid and had a bad habit of skimming all his logs. I love him now though! There are a million cool things about him, but thing that always gets me with him is how angry he was with ghost Aradia for concealing the world-ending nature of sgrub from him. His society is shit, treats people like HIM like shit specifically, and if he’d lived to adulthood on Alternia he probably would’ve had the worst fate out of anyone in the main cast, including Karkat and Feferi—still, he was furious that the game he was working so hard on in hopes of saving his world ended up destroying it. Even though he had every right to be like “lol sucks for everyone who died but this works out great for me.” He’s just. So good.

I don’t think I have that many groundbreaking erisol headcanons. I just like them separately as characters and I think that (citing erisol as evidence) they’re WAY more similar than they like to think they are, and they would probably be much better friends (yes, I’m an “all the trolls are friends” person) if their circumstances were different. I know Pesterquest was kind of controversial and not everyone takes the routes as canon, but Eridan’s route kind of cemented for me that on some level, Sollux realizes this. That’s why he keeps answering Eridan’s phone calls, and why he seems to flip flop between wanting nothing to do with him and engaging with his antics. In both universes Sollux spends a lot of time talking to Feferi, and Feferi is still Eridan’s friend, even though she’s been frustrated with him for a long time. At a certain point Sollux has probably heard all the bad AND the good, and he knows that Eridan can be better, and that makes it even more frustrating that he goes around enforcing a system that he doesn’t even believe in because he’s desperate for approval from…does he even know who he’s seeking approval from?? Because the bastard could be getting approval from real people who care about him if he’d just stop being so terrible all the time, but NOOOOO. And that kind of frustration and desire to force someone to improve is exactly what caliginous relationships are supposed to be about!

I guess I hc that Sollux is rarely angry that Eridan is pitch flirting with him period, but that Eridan’s attempts at establishing a rivalry are so shallow and based on cheap shots at Sollux’s blood color and him “stealing Feferi” rather than anything about Sollux specifically. At first glance anyone would peg Eridan as the tryhard in their situation, but to Sollux it feels like he’s the one who’s gone to the trouble of finding actual personal things to dislike about Eridan, and Eridan is being lazy and not meeting him halfway at all. If pressed I do think that Eridan would be able to articulate that he cares about Sollux for reasons beyond that stuff (because seriously, he’s calling this boy in the wee hours of the morning just to complain at him he is down horrendous), but he’s not exactly good at the whole “introspection” thing, so. A slow burn ship for sure :/

Also have you tried making the horns bone colored, more similar to their tail or teeth? Or more out to the side? Since you said you weren't sure you liked the horns, I mean.

And the bone-shade idea its so good! I wanted to do that fade-to-black thingy cuz it’s very edgy and very cool (backstory spoilers!) but I was editing quickly and the frontier between colors is very sharp. I had in mind they would only pop out/manifest when they’re very pissed off, so that’s why I’m working with the insinuation of fangs so far XD

Why did you choose your url? Well, back in the days of ancient, I went by keoni on the irc, forums, msn, and my friends would nickname me keoni-chan whenever we talked. When I went to make a Livejournal, keoni was already taken, so I went for my nickname, instead. Same story for my tumblr url.

How long have you been on tumblr? April 24, 2011! ... I missed my tumblr anniversary... I always do, lol >< I have been taking breaks though, so I haven’t always been on.

Do you have a queue tag? I used to, but then that weird thing with banning tags came around, so I stopped using them. All my gameplay posts run from a queue. I usually queue up downloads, too. Replies and WCIFs and stuff like this gets posted in real time, though.

Why did you start your blog in the first place? People were leaving LJ and most of them were migrating to tumblr. So I went, too.

Why did you choose your icon/pfp? I don’t change my icon that often. I sometimes base it on a challenge I’m doing. I used to have Bethany from my Midnight Sun Challenge for the longest time. And a Cowplant XD Before that, it was the Daenerys sim you can still see in my sidebar. Right now it’s Bekah from my VDSL, because I really liked that picture.

Why did you choose your header? My headers are usually gameplay shots I really like. Right now it’s my group picture from Angler’s Bay. I spend way too long on that, and I’m proud of it. It also fits my blog, because I mostly post about that these days.

What’s your post with the most notes?

Faux Fur Dress 3t2 with 1115 notes. Probably because some TS4 finds blogs started reblogging it XD

How often do you use tumblr each day? I usually have a tumblr tab open when I’m on m computer. So... a lot?

Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? Who won? Not that often? I don’t really like drama, or conflict, so I usually try to keep my opinions to myself. I know I can have a mean streak, especially when I was younger, so I try to be civil about it these days. I don’t always succeed, but that’s life, I guess. Can’t please everybody.

How do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this’ posts? Whenever I come across those, I revert back into my edgy 13 year old self and my brain goes: “Oh yeah? Make me!”

Do you like tag games? Yes! I’m always happy when people think of me.

Do you like ask games? Yes! And I apologize to everyone sending me asks. I have can have a hard time converting thoughts and feelings into words, so I might take some time to answer.
