hi i’m going on a tangent abt genshin characters i think r autistic bc i’m autistic! ^_^

chars included: alhaitham, kokomi, lynette, albedo, fischl, cyno

alhaitham

oh my god. this man is so deeply autistic is hurts me…

his noise sensitivity leading him to creating his own noise cancelling headphones… i’m guessing (i don’t remember) he avoids crowds. i also struggle with loud noises and crowds, and wear headphones almost 24/7 js like him.

also, his social ineptness!!! he doesn’t get social clues and js does what pleases him. (me too) he doesn’t understand why kaveh gets upset with his lack of emotion (masking, or general monotone voice)

i have a hc that he’s texture sensitive but that’s js me LOL

she struggles with people and understanding cues and reasoning so much.. and her social tallies… 😭

her special interest of war tactics being all over her safe space of that little cave where she can decompress.

i think also the fact she has a small social battery and gets burned out can be an autistic thing (speaking from personal experience)

Analysis: Genshin Impact Autistic characters - KOKOMI

This is going to be a section in my blog talking about which Genshin characters I think fit very well inside the autism spectrum. If we know Hoyoverse's record, we know that they're not autism friendly (*cof cof* cure for autism in Tears of Themis *cof cof*) but well, neurotypical people accidentally writing neurodivergent characters happens a lot, and at the end of day, it is free to our own interpretation how we see them.

I want to open this section with my favourite Genshin character: Sangonomiya Kokomi. I relate to her a lot (partially the reason why I'm convinced she's autistic) but keep reading if you want to know specifically why I think she is.

INTRODUCTION

Kokomi is a 5 star character, Hydro catalyst from Inazuma. Lorewise, she is Watatsumi's Divine Priestess; in other words, the leader of Watatsumi Island, a small town that relies a lot on fishing and agriculture to subsist.

In terms of 'waifu-uwu', Kokomi is your average overworked waifu who shows a shy demeanor, steady leadership but delicate presence. Is very feminine presenting, has a quirky military side and shows a soft spot for traveller, probably because she falls in love with him too (and yeah, I talk specifically about Aether because we know who thinks this way). A lot of western people, especially men, also reduce her to this stereotype common in Genshin Impact women.

However, we can take some more steps and see in depth everything that Kokomi has to offer.

HYPERFIXATIONS

One of the aforementioned cliches is actually true: Kokomi is an overworked woman, but not in the same way as Ganyu or Keqing, for example. While they overwork themselves because they seem to enjoy being occupated or feeling useful, Kokomi's job is a responsability that she actually doesn't wan't: just by reading her voice-overs (More About Sangonomiya Kokomi: IV), we discover that what she really wanted to do was study military strategy and become an adviser.

And this is one of the most interesting points about Kokomi: she loves military strategy. While some people reduce it to a quirky trait, I think it can be clearly interpreted as an autistic hyperfixation. Not only Kokomi is presented to us as a girl who is an expert on this field (Archon quest was so horribly written that it doesn't do her justice, but canonically she is very smart and a strategy master), but she also tells us on voice-overs that she loves military books the most (Chat: Reading), and wanted it to be her full-time job.

The least we can say is that it is her passion, one that fuels her motivation so much, just like how autism or writing fuels mine to the point of wanting to work on that field and enjoying it on my spare time or when I'm regulating myself.

BURNOUT AND MASKING

In relation to the last point, there's another reason as to why Kokomi preferred to be a military advisor rather than the island leader: social interaction.

As stated in both voice-overs and her quest, social interaction exhausts Kokomi to the point she 'gets negative'. She also tells us (Sangonomiya Kokomi's Troubles) that she's not good at communicating with others, and that putting on her Divine Priestess airs helps her with it. Kokomi is a clear case of a women who does masking in order to survive socialization with other people, and in this case, her being a figure of authority well-respected and loved by her people helps her a lot with the interactions she's forced to endure day by day. I see myself on this, because I too feel more at ease interacting with other people if I have a title that gives me clues about how others will be talking to me (being the class rep, an administrator...) but it still exhausts you, and usually it is even more tiring because you have to keep up to extra expectations. The 'getting negative' references being so burn out that you can't keep masking anymore, making you seem gloomy/uninterested/rude/clueless.

In Kokomi's quest Dracaena Somnolenta, we learn that when Kokomi is too tired of social interaction, she hides for a while on a cave where she sleeps and reads books in solitude. That is decompression. All autistic people need it to regulate their bodies and mind.

For Kokomi, this decompression time is very important, but also a secret she has. Social interactions represent a sensory overload for her, and we can see it on her dialogues during Dracaena Somnolenta, especially when we go find her to the cave:

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Oh... you noticed? I guess I haven't quite mastered the ability to hide how I'm feeling. I'll keep working at it... (masking)

Sangonomiya Kokomi: To be honest, I'm not really cut out to be a leader. At first, my dream was to read up on military strategy and perhaps become an adviser. (another hint to her hyperfixation)

Sangonomiya Kokomi: Constantly communicating with people, trying to retain their morale, having to read between the lines, making sure everyone gets the recognition they deserve... It's such hard work. (more masking, she has to force herself to do all these things because it doesn't naturally come to her)

(...)

Sangonomiya Kokomi: So whenever I feel overwhelmed, I come here to just lose myself in a book and relax for a while... (decompression)

Kokomi also explains that she uses spoon theory to regulate her energy. Spoon theory is a method created by Miserandino and it is used to ration our energy during the day. So yeah, Kokomi literally uses for herself a method that is directed to disabled people; whether it is autistic individuals, people with chronic illneses and pain, etc.

In her case, she writes it on her diary, adding or substracting points according to the tasks she has done and the events that happened to her. Traveller, whether it be Aether or Lumine, seem to be an individual that Kokomi trusts and feels comfortable with; so much that their presence doesn't disregulate her, but actually does the opposite. I don't like to think of it as a romantic thing, but rather as a platonic neurodivergent bond that they both share with each other.

A cute detail is that she also speaks loudly about those energy points with people she trusts, like Traveller and Paimon. I think it's beautiful when neurodivergent people feel free to explain out loud the 'weird' things they do after enduring so much masking.

SENSORY REGULATION

Although I already touched the most important points as to why I think Kokomi is autistic, there are some others I want to emphasize, being one of them sensory regulation and disregulation.

Kokomi is clearly disregulated by social interaction, and uses reading books, resting alone and militar strategy as a decompression mechanism. She also enjoys diving, and as she says, it fills her heart with peace even if the world underseas isn't bright and sunny like the dry land. Water can be very pleasant for some autistic people due to the stimuli and the temperature (I, for example, love swimming but hate being wet and wrinkled afterwards), and I like to think that, when Kokomi is at her limit, she goes diving to calm her mind (this is a headcanon lol, unless I missed something on lore).

Kokomi also dislikes seafood (fish, crustaceans...) and it's funny because I also hate seafood due to it's texture and flavour. Her favourite food, Bird Egg Sushi, is described by her as both 'simple' and 'simple to prepare'. Now I could be analyzing too deeply, but autism and sensory problems with food usually go hand in hand, making us prefer the simplest food possible and avoiding dishes with too much things on them, strong flavours or unpredictable textures... So yeah, Kokomi also fits this.

JUSTICE AND MORALS

Kokomi is leader of Watatsumi Island and goes against the Vision Hunt Decree that Raiden Shogun imposes on Inazuma. As she states on her voice-over (About Raiden Shogun) she doesn't feel rightfully to categorize or criticize Raiden Shogun's actions as good or bad. However, as she fights against it for the welfare of her people, we can assure that she does fight back against things she considers an injustice, even if it burns her out; just because that's what is right.

She also shows a great worry about all her people. If it's raining, she thinks about the fishermans who may not be able to return. The soldiers that died under her charge are in her mind even when she has agreed to not talk about them out loud. That should ideally be the average prototype of a leader, but just by watching Raiden Shogun we can agree that it is, in fact, not it. Seeing Kokomi, a woman who dislikes social interaction and burns herself to fulfill her duty, being at the same time so empathetic, considerate and kind to her people is something I see in a lot of neurodivergent people. The urge to please and help others the best you can do, even if it means sacrificing yourself in the process; not healthy at all, but so pure at the same time.

Kokomi also says something interesting on one of her voice-overs (Chat: Fish) which is that 'respect must be given to the will of every creature'. It is no mistery that she loves sea creatures so much, and I also think that the reason she dislikes seafood is because of this same thought about respecting all lives in nature. Not a very important point, but worth to mention.

I think I covered all the points I wanted to talk about, but if I forgot about anything, I'll update the analysis and add it.

There are a lot of characters I want to talk about apart from Kokomi (Albedo, Alhaitham, Sucrose, Freminet, Fischl, Noelle, Chongyun, Shenhe...) but I will take it slow to bring them all here. Autism spectrum is so colorful and endless that each character has significant but different traits, and I'll cover them up little by little.

okay last night i kept having dreams about posting terusai headcanons to tumblr im being so srs im gonna try to piece together what i remember

one was a comic of young terusai and i remember that one best soo im gonna base it on that. im going to ignore that terusai didnt go to the same elementary school okay. okay

Heizou was a victim and a perpetrator of the VHD. He lost his vision about 8 months in.

As a result he has difficulty with his emotions as well as the emotions of others. He's very inept, a genius but emotionally inept.

Kaveh and Al Haithem don't hate each other, but they definitely are not good friends.

Speaking of, I think Kavehthem is super toxic. Source? My parents were just like them before getting divorced and now they dont talk to each other.

Also, Diluc and Jean are not the only ones who know Venti is Barbatos. He aint that slick.

Albedo, Sucrose, Kaeya and Hu Tao also know.

Kaeya? Found out by accident after Venti got too drunk.

Hu Tao? She already had suspicions that Zhongli was Morax, and Venti showing up along with him, Zhongli and Xiao all being awkward just confirmed it.

Heizou and Yanfei are pen pals. They're besties, Your Honor.

Kazuha and Heizou once did it on the fucking beach during VHD.

This was also 2 years before they started dating. And 3 before they met Aether.

Heizou's a bottom btw. a bratty one.

He and Sango tried dating once while they still got along, but broke up long before they split off

Technically, because of the Irminsul wipe, Venti is still the youngest of the archons. Nahida doesn't know how to feel about this. Neither does Aether.

Heizou is allergic to mangoes. And Lavender Melon, and- actually this guy is allergic to near every fruit... Except for sunsettias and pineapples, strangely enough.

This doesn't stop him from eating candy. Much to Sara's horror.

Dw, she has the bfs gang up on him.

Heizou struggles with depression at times. And it's something he goes to therapy for. He hasn't done anything, but for a while it was pretty bad, especially right after the decree ended.

Kaeya has hEDS (Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome)

It means his bones are more likely to dislocate and pop out of socket if he's not careful.

Kaeya is also autistic with some pretty weird sensory issues. The second water gets in his boots this man will toss them off faster than Signora died.

Fischl is a system

The events of the Aranyaka quest and the Pari quest happened around the same time. How you ask? Aether didn't go to Sumeru alone, he brought Heizou and Kaeya (this is before Hei joined the polycule-)

Its also when Tighnari and Heizou eventually started dating because Heizou kept running off and dragging Kaeya with him when they were supposed to be recovering from the Samsara and Tighnari went "Oh godsdammit i like him..."

Cyno and Nari talked it out and Collei was also cool with it so Nari shot his shot and... It took longer than expected for Heizou to notice...

ANYWAY PARI QUEST

Along with Heizou and Kaeya, Kaveh and Nilou also went with them.

As you've spotted, there isn't a single healer among them

Heizou preoceeds to give Kaeya his spare catalyst and turns that boy into a healer.

"Sorry Aether, I turned your boyfriend into a healer"

The catalyst was the Inazuma craftable one...

Kaveh and Heizou actually hit it off pretty well, bonding over being geniuses in their respective fields

Nilou is Mom friend. Im correct. She calls people "darling" and "sweetheart"

Anemo should be allowed to swirl Dendro so it does in my universe.

Kaeya and Heizou are the ones to find the door to Khaenri'ah... Kaeya doesn't react well and all Heizou has to go on is that maybe the Abyss hurt him somehow

Also Cynonari have absolutely no clue where those two are at this point... They are Freaking Out because Aether is off doing other things and told them to keep those two in Ghandarvah Ville...

Spoilers for Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.

Okay, hear me out. Let me cook with this one.

My brain came up with the crack pairing of Kamisato Ayaka from Genshin Impact and Edelgard von Hresvelg from Fire Emblem.

Waitwaitwait pls dont leave. Let me cook.

Think about it.

Starting with similarities:

Ayaka comes from a clan that’s head of a whole commission in Inazuma, so she’s from an influential and powerful family.

Edelgard is the emperor of Adrestia. There’s no need for me to elaborate on that. I think the title speaks for itself.

Ayaka was willing to question the Raiden Shogun to some extent.

Edelgard questioned the church of Seiros and started a revolution against the crest system of Fodlan.

Gameplay wise, they’re both really strong units in their respective games. Literally every alt of Edelgard in Fire Emblem Heroes is broken and I love it. Like, it’s objectively a bad thing, but she’s a fave so I let it slide.

In terms of differences,

I tried not to emphasize it too much up to this point, but Edelgard is significantly more open to radical courses of action than Ayaka and is more willing to do things that might be considered morally questionable at best.

Ayaka couldn’t openly support the resistance movement of Sangonomiya Kokomi, and it’s even mentioned the Yashiro commission and the Watatsumi Resistance don’t see eye to eye on certain matters.

Ayaka’s also more of a swordfighter, while Edelgard uses a heavier weapon in an axe. Ayaka could probably teach Edelgard to use a sword better while Edelgard could show her how to wield an axe and use it in combat (and maybe like during training Ayaka looks at Edelgard and is like sjsjshshshsusu. Would be interesting for sure).

I think that Edelgard could broaden Ayaka’s horizons, while Ayaka could help Edelgard not lose herself in pursuit of her lofty goals.

I also just like this ship because they’re both pretty and I headcanon both of them as autistic as someone with autism myself.

Like cmon, people can’t tell when Edelgard’s joking because of the tone with which she delivers her jokes, and she didn’t know the social cue of a high five in Three Hopes. I also think that part of the reason she acted the way she did when Byleth lost Jeralt was because she didn’t know how to deal with something like this, along with the fact that this was the only way she could cope with losing her siblings and mother.

Ayaka had difficulty socializing with people, and though that’s probably mostly because of her status, I also think part of it is that she doesn’t really know social cues due to being put on a pedestal. She seems to have experienced some fun things pretty late in life like going to a festival to enjoy it, which — to be as vague as possible — I can kind of relate to.

This is obviously projection on my part but come on. They are both my scrunklies. I love these two so much I’m so normal about them.

so basically I'm convinced hes autistic and greyromantic and I have some evidence for both thoughts.

for the autism one my evidence is I think I heard somewhere that occasionally people with autism can recall dates and numbers well, of course this isnt the case with all autistic people but still.

Kuusuke was able to recall the exact number of things on several occasions. This was shown by him knowing the exact amount of times he's lost to Kusuo and knowing the exact amount of time since he last saw his grandparents.

That screenshot says that sometimes people with autism start talking earlier and Kuusuke said his first words of "I grasped it" when he was a month old.

I'm sure theres more evidence but thats all I can think of right now.

Now onto the greyromantic thought.

Here he says he thinks everyone looks the same to him therefore he can't judge appearances. With this, it is possible that this would cause him to not experience romantic attraction often.

Also he never gasped when he saw Kokomi. Everyone falls for Kokomi since shes perfect and gorgeous but Kuusuke didn't. This may be because he doesnt experience romantic attraction therefore he wouldnt fall for her.

Why I think that out of all identities on the aromantic spectrum hes greyromantic in particular? My only reason why that one is because I'm greyromantic but I do have evidence hes arospec.

genshin identity headcanons cause i wanna share:

venti: i suppose the closest thing in gender would be demiboy? with beings like him i consider them to be born without a gender, so calling them cis or trans feels odd because they were never assigned one to begin with. he has all the genders but also none, but is boy adjacent. prefers he/him, but also likes being called feminine things like wife, bride, maiden etc.

xiaoxiao: also born genderless but sees himself as a man, i think his masculinity is important to him (but does not stop him from having pretty eyeliner). demisexual/demiromantic, has only loved one (1) man in his life. venti was his first time, but luckily venti has been alive for 2600+ slutty, slutty years and is very experienced.

scara: trans man, was created in the likeness of a woman but decided he didn't like that actually and chopped his hair off. gay, but has a complicated relationship with love because of *gestures at all of him as a person*. was in love with niwa but never loved again, until he found one (1) maple boy

maple boy: a simple gay man. i tend to see him as cis. he and mouchie are peak 'i'll find you in every lifetime'.

heizou is gay cis man but is very gnc. usually i like kazuha and scara to be exclusive but heikazuscara is also really good. heizou and scara would be competitive and love fighting each other but would do Anything for kazuha. they're in their get along shirt. they're gonna fuck in the get along shirt.

albedo: aro/ace. doesn't care much about gender but prefers masculine terminology, is probably smooth like a ken doll down there. he has a complete disinterest in sex and could probably sit there and watch ppl go at it in a completely detached scientific way. would take notes. interesting research material.

razor, bennett, and fischl: all of them are bi and polyam. razor doesn't know what a gender is and doesn't care what people call him, he doesn't pay attention much. as long as they know he's razor and he's a wolf then they've got it covered as far as razor is concerned. bennett is a trans boy, lucky to be surrounded by sososososo many supportive dads. fischl is a trans girl who of course had her trans awakening when she realized how much she wanted to be pretty and cool like her favorite book character. also they're all autistic i don't make the rules. fischl also has something going on with mona sometimes but it's on and off and not as serious as with the other two. "my name is razor and this my boyfriend bennett and our girlfriend fischl, and this her girlfriend mona" basically.

layla is an ace lesbian who falls in love with every pretty girl who is nice to her, but doesn't have time to pursue a relationship because of how busy she is with school ): her dreams are full of said pretty girls though.

i think i also see barbara as an ace lesbian as well, she is the cutest little blorbo.

ayaka is very obviously bi. i think she and kokomi would be rly cute together. that's my rarepair of the day.

tighnari and cyno are both arospec gay. perhaps demiromantic. love dick, probably wouldn't be chasing it if they didn't have each other though. trans tighnari supremacy. sumeru is the best place to be if you wanna transition.

xingqiu is a catty, mean ass gay. babygirl hes noncomforming to genders you've never even heard of. any pronouns are fine. his boyfriend chongyun is cis and there's not a thought in his head. he doesn't fully understand xingqiu's gender stuff but he's got the right spirit. i don't think i have a preference for whether chongyun would be gay or bi. he and xingqiu have been attached at the hip for their whole lives so he's never had to put much thought into it.

xinyan, yun jin, and xiangling are polyam. xiangling and xinyan are bi while yun jin is a lesbian. yun jin is also a trans lady, and they all love each other very much. yun jin and shenhe would be cute too but i think i prefer aro/ace shenhe.

gorou is a cis gay who has definitely experienced gay panic™️ before. he really thought he liked girls but realized he just rly admires a lot of the women in his life but doesn't actually like them that way (kokomi for example). im fascinated by how a man can be such an exemplary twink while still being so straight. he didn't have to come out because everyone already knew before he did.

itto is a cis man, and he's a pan legend. he doesn't know that word though, he'd just tell you that everyone is hot. definitely doesnt have a thought in his head when it comes to gender but is supportive. shinobu is a trans woman and is bi and aspec. when itto found out she was trans he was like "shinobu is so smart she really Can do everything :0"

jean and diluc are both bi and are exes and i think they could get up to a lot of silly ex shenanigans. they parted on friendly terms obviously.

furina is my precious boygirl, she is bigender and transmasc, and she's bisexual. any pronouns are fine. i feel like she would also have a crush on anyone who's nice to her.

oh HELLO!! yes I have so so so many honestly I don't even know where to start with them!!

mainly I'm just handing out autism and adhd to these characters by the fistful, since those are the main two forms of neurodivergency that I have, but I have other smaller headcanons too (like transmasc xingqiu with dysgraphia (the trans bit is just bonus, it's unrelated to the neurodivergent headcanons))!

top unwavering headcanon is Zhongli with autism. past that I've got autistic Ei, autistic Albedo, autistic Keqing, ADHD Childe, ADHD Xiangling, ADHD Itto, autistic Kokomi, autistic Kujou Sara............also every single adeptus is autistic by default. never will I forget cloud retainer insisting to paimon that she was neither "sore", nor was she losing (in response to being accused of being a sore loser in a world quest I think). this is just off the top of my head though (⁠ •^▽^•)

if there's anyone you're particularly fond of (admittedly I haven't played through sumeru, but I'm caught up to chapter II act III at the end of inazuma basically) feel free to ask about them and I can give more details since there's a lot of variety in neurodivergent experiences!!

There’s a running theme among my friends that if a character is HP scaling I’m predisposed to liking them. So far, this has held true (Hu Tao, Yelan, Kokomi, Nilou, etc.)

Separate note: do you have any ships with them? I love the idea of KokoLou long distance gfs, but also I’ve had an idea rattling around in my head of YunLou.

(PS I am autistic and I think Kokomi is too, I love her sm)

HP-scaling SLAPS i agree 100% (dehya is going to scale on it and i'm excited to see her kit even if I don't play claymores) ! Personally my #1 criteria to love playing characters is attack speed (i mained keqing and xiangling as a little baby genshin player all the way back at launch and it ruined me forever) but i will admit i am a BIG fan of HP-scale as well

as for topic #2: i have never once considered kokomi and nilou in my life but now that you've brought it to my attention i'm kind of obsessed i won't lie ... i don't know when or how they would meet but i want to see them interact! I don't have a ton of ships for kokomi beyond the very much non-romantic mentor/mentee relationship i want DESPERATELY between kokomi and ayato but kokolou is very good i must say .... i will ruminate on this further

Autistic!Kokomi HCs

⚠️ Spoilers for Inazuma ⚠️

• She’s an absolute stickler for rules and routine. Source: the guidebook she gives to all her troops

• No one is able to make a book that big (that has never failed so far, might I add) covering all possible outcomes in any situation (war-related or otherwise) without thinking through scenarios for hours

• Seems suspiciously like an autistic person creating scripts to me

• N e e d s to have a script or be otherwise prepared for any possible situation to feel grounded

• I would say she’s the CEO of ‘you don’t look autistic’ but her troops are too good for such slander

• You will not find a single soldier in the resistance that isn’t well-educated and accepting of neurodivergent people. Everyone adores her and it’s likely that many of her troops are also neurodivergent in some way

• cough Gorou cough

• Kokomi is canonically incredibly focused on the comfort and stability of her people. She’s aware of how hard small changes can be during the stress of war

• Auditory sensory seeking, thankfully, otherwise she would be overwhelmed often with the noise of the camp

• Visually sensory avoidant. Gets easily overstimulated when there’s a lot happening visually. One of the reasons she rarely sees combat herself if because of this

• Tactile avoidant. Does not like to be touched, especially unsolicited

• Taste sensory avoidant, prefers bland foods. Doesn’t mind some flavor or seasoning, but spices are a no go

• Smell sensory seeking! She loves sweet smelling things and scents that remind her of good times

• She’s a rocker. Repetitive motions are her favorite, she can almost always be seen stimming by bobbing her knees, rocking in a seat, nodding her head, etc

• Her water fish are a close second. Though she usually doesn’t like visual stimuli, she finds it soothing to watch them ripple in the light and slowly ‘swim’ around her hand

• Despite all her preparation, meltdowns are common occurrences. She tends to go to her hideout if possible until they’re over, then returns to her troops when she’s recovered (read: taken a nap)

• Has likely lead a brief or some other meeting before while actively melting down

• Does not mask most of the time (or at least didn’t during the civil war) because she is/was always around people with whom she could be herself

• Does not naturally show any emotions on her face, but is good at expressing them straightforwardly with words

i love her!!! i think shes such an interesting and likeable character not because of her "perfection" but because of her flaws, and the way that she genuinely tries to help other people and brighten their day in spite of them. she comes across as a little vain at times but at the root of her character she seriously just wants to make other people happy- shes not vain, she just knows how pretty she is. its a really intersing deconstruction of the "pretty girl who doesnt know it" trope. i also feel really bad for her given how much masking she has to do and the incredibly obsessive fans she has

kokomi is a trans girl, and as a child she was often bullied because of her feminine features and liking “girly” things so when she came out to her family, makoto and her moved to a different area and she joined PK Academy as a cis girl, when she realised how loveable she was she started to become obsessed with being the perfect pretty girl so that she would never be hurt like she was as a child again - her original plan was to go unnoticed but her beauty was like a magnet for guys

saiki is asexual and non binary, they use he/they pronouns but people assume he just uses he/him because of their appearance - i might go into what pronouns i think all the characters’ pronouns would be in a different post - and i feel like he would either be panromantic or aromantic too

imu and teruhashi go on dates all the time but both of them are too shy to ask to make sure they’re dating

if kusuke and makoto met they would probably date for a while - they have a really good dynamic

toritsuka is actually asexual or demisexual, he just acts like a perv as a coping mechanism and tries to “fix” himself by being really dirty because he doesn’t realise that it’s okay to not be into that kind of thing

toritsuka is also biromantic - you CANNOT say he didn’t have the BIGGEST crush on saiki when he was introduced - but he doesn’t realise it because he doesn’t realise you can like people romantically but not sexually

also toritsuka has ptsd and is autistic (if you couldn’t tell i have a lot of thoughts about toritsuka)

kaidou wears eyeliner - like A LOT of eyeliner - but they’re terrible at it so the girls often help them out but then they complain because it doesn’t look edgy enough lmao

saiko does drag in his free time but no one finds out until one day when he’s doing a show during pride month and he thinks no one will be there but a member of the news club sees him backstage and soon the whole school knows

saiko, kaidou and imu are bi icons

there’s no way any of the main characters are straight honestly

saiko never admits it but he developed a crush on nendou when he offered friendship with no regard for his money and chucked it all away to save that little kid but he denies it to hell and back

saiko and hairo have friendly basketball games every sunday after hairo finds out how good saiko is

one day nendou asks to join and despite his odd looks, both hairo and saiko develop feelings for him

kaidou has separation anxiety and was bullied as a child which is what prompted them to develop 8th grader syndrome

kaidou loves my chemical romance and has tons of posters of frank iero in their room

aren teases kaidou about their taste in music but secretly he loves it just as much as kaidou because he loves how happy it makes kaidou

kaidou is a demiboy but amab and it makes them kinda sad when they’re constantly called a he because if given the choice they’d choose they/them or ghost/ghostself, aren uses they/them for them whenever it’s safe and so does saiki - BUT kaidou *does* use he/him they just prefer they/them it just makes them happy to be called a they once in a while or whatever
