There’s a running theme among my friends that if a character is HP scaling I’m predisposed to liking them. So far, this has held true (Hu Tao, Yelan, Kokomi, Nilou, etc.)

Separate note: do you have any ships with them? I love the idea of KokoLou long distance gfs, but also I’ve had an idea rattling around in my head of YunLou.

(PS I am autistic and I think Kokomi is too, I love her sm)

HP-scaling SLAPS i agree 100% (dehya is going to scale on it and i'm excited to see her kit even if I don't play claymores) ! Personally my #1 criteria to love playing characters is attack speed (i mained keqing and xiangling as a little baby genshin player all the way back at launch and it ruined me forever) but i will admit i am a BIG fan of HP-scale as well

as for topic #2: i have never once considered kokomi and nilou in my life but now that you've brought it to my attention i'm kind of obsessed i won't lie ... i don't know when or how they would meet but i want to see them interact! I don't have a ton of ships for kokomi beyond the very much non-romantic mentor/mentee relationship i want DESPERATELY between kokomi and ayato but kokolou is very good i must say .... i will ruminate on this further

Good morning and happy birthday to Isagi Yoichi. Rambling under the cut :

Hello hi uhh hey, yeah this is my very first post. It's been a while since i started editing panels from mangas i like and uh, i decided to do one for Isagi's birthday!!! I definitely could do better, but i had 2 days to finish this and this is the longest time i've ever spent on an edit let alone a personal project. I think i did alright. Maybe. Idk the standards (well i do, kinda, i think)

Like, the overall sillhouette of the first panel, especially Kaiser's arm position and hand is kinda wonky, idrk how to do Isagi's hair sprout and i think i failed him (on his birthday too??? I could've done better), shading's awful but i did consciously refused to learn how to shade soo, also the abibas, bastard munchen's sword thingy and Kaiser's rose tattoo is, lmao. Kaiser's hair is also a bitch fuck i forgot his rat tail.

But this edit is not for Kaiser!!! This is dedicated for Isagi Yoichi!!! This is for the blue lock mascot birthday!!! The egoist himself!!! I might fix it later though, haha, who knows. (God i hope i don't have any more motivation to do so, because i am exhausted)

This might sound very silly haha, but I just want to say, that while I do consider myself a mix of both crowley and aziraphale, personality wise, I would say that in many ways I relate more to aziraphale. I unfortunately relate to his unending need to hide his emotions, how he truly believes he cant, or atleast shouldnt carve out happiness for himself, and to think about the greater good. I also find myself relating to him because he believes that the people that have hurt him before, can truly heal and be forgiven. So really, to have a character truly be a representation of how I think and view the world (mostly), seemed like a pleasant surprise at the time

But seeing people now be so cruel to him, especially after season 2, to wish him harm, to want to see him "grovel and cry" for the things that he did (which were only done with good intentions), for people to hate him so aggressively for the silly little parts about him (like him playing damsel in distress, or him doing his magic), for people to not even TRY to understand him, not affording him the same empathy they same to have plenty for crowley, to just be.. plain mean, broke my heart. It made me think "wow. I agreed with everything that lil principality did, I feel the same way as him, I would probably do what he did, and ppl hate him. Oh, ok." I felt so awful reading all those horrible "meta's" about him, because I internalized all those things that they said and believed that I too needed to "grovel for forgiveness" from the people I loved, that my anxieties were also "baseless", and I suppose I started extending less and less empathy to myself, and I was so unhappy.

Ever since discovering @badaziraphaletakes however, and seeing not only them,but other people as well, just break down every horrible take they come across, to see them give incredible, well thought-out analysis on BOTH these characters, to finally see someone that actually wanted for aziraphale to be happy, and to understand him for what he his, and point out to anyone that believes otherwise, that he is also a victim of abuse, was very therapeutic. Finally there are some people who understand him!(and in a diluted sense, me), it truly does make my day when they post.

Thank you to @badaziraphaletakes and everyone else that I have seen on their blog, it truly is so gratifying to see people love him and care for him, and want the best for him, it truly feels like a warm hug when people say they love him for his silly lil interests(as he and I share some), and it just feels good to read such nuanced takes about him🥰

I honestly didnt expect this to be so long but haha what can one do, the rambling persists. I would once again like to thank you guys, your posts mean so much to an "aziraphale coded" person like me🥰❤️ have a great day!

The first day you checked in the Hazbin Hotel he came up to you. “Hello Dear! And what does a sinner like you do here?” You just look down with a frown on your face. He pulls your chin up to look at him “Smile dear! You’re never fully dressed without one!”

He never makes the first move. He patently waits till someone approaches him just to turn them down.

The first time you saw him eat lunch you were… disturbed to say the least. You knew that cannibals are common in hell but you never saw one in person.

You were a long fan of Alastor. You listened to his broadcasts long before you met him in person. You were also super sad when he went missing for 7 years.

Alastor walks around hell knowing that no one’s going to challenge him. So he hums sweet melodies to himself while walking around.

He loves to dance with you while listening to jazz music.

After he lost Mimzy he had basically no friends at all that he knew from the living realm. Not that it matters to him but you feel sad somehow.

He drinks wine mixed with blood. Only sometimes though since he begins to ramble when he’s drunk. “Have you listened to my RADIO broadcast before dear??”

He was suspicious of you when you first entered. He didn’t know if you truly wanted to be here. You might cause trouble to him.

He has a bunch of scars on his body due to his fights back in the day.

He is an excellent cook. He sometimes prepares breakfast for the people in the hotel.

Charlie is such a cutie. She’ll go up to you and ask if you and alastor are doing well. And if you’d say “no” she’ll try to cheer you up.

He loves taking you out to fancy dinners around the town. No one interrupts your little dates. “Are you enjoying it, dear?”

Sometimes when you’re overwhelmed with everything he comes into your room and puts up some relaxing jazz. “Care to dance with me my love?” You nod and begin to dance.

He lets you touch his ears occasionally. You can tell they’re well maintained by the fluffiness. You even asked if you can see his tail. He allowed it after a long discussion.

Husk and niffty get along with you super well. You began talking to them, trying to get more out of them about Alastor. Husk would tell you about his past if it was appropriate.

When you asked him if he’s sad about not having any friends he just laughed. “Haha! Dear you know I’m better off without them.” He smiles brightly.

He sings under the shower. Mostly old jazz songs.

Cats>>>> Dogs. Mostly related to his past but he’s over all a cat person.

He wouldn’t understand the new terms for the sexual agenda, even though Charlie tried to explain it to him multiple times.

He and Rosie are best friends since forever. He also promotes her shop every now and then.

He’s super old fashioned so he’d call you “Dear” or “My love”.

He actually cares about the reputation and safety of the hotel.

He is a mamas boy. He treats woman super nicely since his mom raised him to be a gentleman.

Him and Zestial were fighting buddies back in the early days of hell. He calls Zestial old just to piss him off.

He likes being the small spoon while cuddling.

He punched Susan once after she called his staff tacky and useless. She truly is an old bitch.

He used to live in cannibal town near Rosie. They would go out and talk about everything.

Rosie was the one to show him how to style his hair. She also did his makeup once and since then he never tried a new style.

He defends you every time someone is mean to you. “Huh? Oh… I shouldn’t have killed them? Well! It’s done now so there’s no going back!”

hi hello, so this isn't my official "comeback" yet as I'm currently sick in bed 😭 so this is just a little teaser and explanation of what I'm planning hehe

So I've had this idea for a long time, so long that it was the first fic I ever wanted to write down on this blog and the idea that motivated me to start writing in general, but things happened so yeah I'm only now finding the time to finally write for it

so basically, it's friends with benefits geto x f!reader, simple enough, right? Well, not quite (if you're not interested in too much detail, feel free to skip my rambling and scroll down for some excerpts and quotes 😘 they'll be below the cut)

It all happened one evening when your best friend came to pick you up from a party for the first time, being tipsy and sexually frustrated one thing led to another and you slept together and from then on it kind of became your guys' thing

Whenever you were out and didn't end up with someone, you called him and he actually came to pick you up

You've known each other for a few years but you just couldn't get yourself to call him Suguru, it's always Geto this Geto that, even tho he would really like you to just call him by his first name, but you're like no no no nonono I can't

And if that wasn't bad enough, your tipsy self always added -san, so it's Geto-san whenever he picks you up haha

You've done a lot already, anything dirty you could think of, been there done that, but no kissing bcs that's too intimate duh, like having a dick shoved so far up it's rearragning your guts isn't yeah yeah sweet denial

So this time there wasn't anything unusual about it, he picked you up like always and you were down to fuck so what's the worst that could happen?

I'm also down for maybe a prequel to the first time it happened?? 👀👀

But in any case, enjoy an excerpt from the beginning as well as some of my ideas and quotes I plan to include :D

He never understood why you liked going out to the most shabby and stuffed clubs. It reeked of alcohol and smoke mixed with all kinds of bodily fluids. As he was making his way through the dancing crowd of sweaty people grinding against each other, he finally found you sitting at the bar while some guy was leaning in your direction way too close for comfort.

He had his usual fit, hair half up with a black over sized sweater and loose black joggers. Making him look so huge that if there were any guys bothering you, they would leave you alone as soon as they saw him.

"Yo~ y/n", he touched your exposed shoulder and gave you his signature eye smile, before staring down the guy next to you that was trying to get in your pants or in this context in ypur skimpy little dress. The guys' annoyed look turned into a worried one after seeing who he was up against.

"Aahhh Geto-saannn you're here early" you mused, leaning against his hard chest. That damn honorific, he cursed but still managed to squeeze out a smile.

"Haha "-san", so you aren't her boyfriend then." the stranger snarled but soon gave up as Suguru raised an eyebrow at him and snapped a "watch it". "Alright, alright, I give up", he put his hands up in defeat. "Maybe next time, sweetcheeks."

As soon as the guy left Suguru took both of your hands in his and knelt down in front of you. "Y/n we've talked about this, if you don't want to call me Suguru at least drop the honorific. We've known each other for years now don't you think it's about time. Also, don't you think it's weird when you call the guy you fuck by his last name, hm?" He turned his head looking at you expectedly.

"But Geto-saaaan-"

"Ah ah, what did I just tell you"

"Okay okay, Geto" you huffed, "You know I'm not comfortable with that", you whined, squeezing his hands.

"I just want to hear you say it at least once. Say it and I'll fuck you real good tonight.", he smirked.

You considered it, after a hard week you really needed a good fuck. "Sugu-", is all you could manage before snapping your head away, "Nope can't do it."

He let his head drop with a loud sigh. "It's alright. It looks like I was just pushing my luck. C'mon, let's get you out of here." And with that, he rose back to his full height, grabbed your hand and pulled you from the bar stool. While making your way through the crowd and to his car, your thoughts kept wandering.

Suguru... that's such a pretty name.

"What's up with you today? If you keep squeezing me that hard you might actually snap my dick off.", he chuckled. He's way to cocky. You have to do something about that.

"Have I ever told you how annoying you can be. If you don't stop talking, I think I might have to shut that mouth of yours up myself.", you whispered putting your hands on his cheeks and pulling his face close so that it was right in front of yours.

"Is it okay? Does it hurt?"

"No, it feels really good. I can feel you all the way up here", you smiled, leaning back and tracing your fingers from your pubic bone to just over your belly button.

"Fuck, you can't just say those things out of the blue" he mumbled sitting up, finally starting to pound into you from below.

"Wow that did it, huh?" you chuckled arching your back and clawing at his shoulders. "How naive, men are so simple." you kept that thought to yourself tho.

"Wait", you mumbled against his lips. "Don't pull out. Keep fucking me. Hurry up." How could he say no to you, even if he felt like he was about to die from overstimulation, he couldn't possibly deny you.

I just played MY WISHMAKER last night and I loved it, so I wanted to give you my thoughts!

Arcade, you are SO SNEAKY AND CLEVER!!! I saw those promo images and was like "oh dear, he has a gunshot wound, what happened?" only to boot up the game and find out HIS WHOLE ARM WAS MISSING! You really can't tell when he's facing right, so I applaud you for hiding it so well.

I LOVE how sassy The Wishmaker is! I was expecting it/them(? I'll just go with them for now) to be kind of highfalutin and regal 'cause they're a deity and all but I really love how you went in this completely other direction! I think it does make sense since The Wishmaker obviously has to, like, grant people's wishes (in some way at least), so having a more casual manner of speech would probably make them less intimidated.

Also! I loved how you implemented the QTEs! I feel like it spices up the gameplay and is a nice little nod to your fans who played My Neighbor Enide. Even though I messed up all of them, though I SWEAR the Vas one was not my fault! I was mashing that Z button for dear life, but my laptop decided to type it into Edge for some reason!? I didn't even have it open!

Oh, and I see you were able to figure out the mouse movement? You said you'd have to move around using the arrow keys, which I was fine with, but I was pleasantly surprised when I booted up the game and I could move with the mouse too! It really completed the experience.

I don't really have much to say about the story, not because it's bad, but because it's so shrouded in mystery that my cogs are still turning as to what it could mean. I did really like the puzzles, though! And I did notice those key items you hid away...

I have plenty of theories I've been ruminating on even before MW, but I don't wanna put them here because 1) since this is an ask it might make you feel obligated to comment on them somehow which you are not and I don't want you to do, and 2) I think I would start rambling and make this ask a mile long LOL.

That's about everything I could think of off the top of my head! Overall, I really enjoyed it, and I hope you the best in all the other chapters and games you plan to make. I'm sure I'll enjoy them just as much, if not even more. Take care!

Haha yes! ♡ I know some people have been asking why Reginald has two arms in the promo images and it's like...it's meant to be a surprise, silly!

Also for our little Wishmaker character, yes! I adore them very much and I'm very excited for people to see more of them and learn their real name!! Another one of my favorites to be sure ♡ Not sure how I'll tag them in posts yet until their name reveal... clock, maybe? Just to avoid confusion? This character can be referred to with any pronouns, but for clarification that in games and in my posts they will only be referred to with "they" and the occasional "it"

I'm happy the QTEs are received well! (Granted they were a bit harder at first haha!) I'm happy to include them in future chapters as I feel future chapters will definitely be more linear and dialogue heavy and so I hope they can spice up the gameplay and keep things interesting and maybe just a tad more immersive! ♡

As for mouse movement controls it's kinda like a "Well yes, but actually no". You CAN move using the mouse if you really want to but you also have to be aware that you could accidentally hit an object's hitbox and activate its event. And you can't back out of an event once it has been activated like in typical point-and-clicks. (There's only so far I can push the engine with my experience level!) It's for this reason (and the surprise of QTE's!) that WASD/Arrow Key movement is recommended!

Hi! This may come across as a dumb question, but I wanted to write my own PMD:EoS fic, but I’m kind of lost on how I want to organize my thoughts and the plot. Additionally, I get new ideas and then I end up struggling with what I want to do. How did you organize things for your story?

This isn't a dumb question at all! It's something I've struggled with for a long time as a writer, and I'd be happy to share what I've come up with to solve my fight with story organization! I’ll try to speak coherently, but this is something I’m really passionate about, so I might ramble a bit, haha. Keep in mind that this is what works for me, and what will work for you may be very different. Take from this post what serves you well and ditch the rest :>

Organizational Tools

You can use pretty much anything to organize your story— I’ve used everything from loose printer paper in storage clipboards to expansive Google Docs that are hundreds of pages long in the past. But what I’ve found that really works for me is an app called Notion. You may have heard of it— it’s really popular with productivity enthusiasts and small business owners, but it works like a dream for organizing creative projects! There’s a bit of a learning curve, but you can find a lot of templates out there for free that work really well if you don’t want to set things up yourself.

This is how my Notion page for TPiaG was set up:

The “Cheat Sheets” dropdown list was full of character sheets, links to Bulbapedia articles I’d refer to while outlining or writing, and also my completed outline. “Fun Stuff” was full of memes and jokes about the characters, an empty page that I’d start filling once I received kind comments on my fic, as well as ideas for additional stories relating to the AU— stuff like oneshots and possible sequels or diverging AUs. Fun fact: this is where I first wrote down my idea for The Present is a Gift: Paradox Edition AU!

“Chapters to Write” and “Chapters I’ve Written” were dropdown lists where I divided my outline into little sub-dropdown lists in “Chapters to Write”, and everytime I wrote a chapter, I would move it over to “Chapters I’ve Written”. Nothing is as reassuring when you’re stuck in the middle of writing a nearly 60k word fanfic as seeing the chapters slowly migrate to the right.

Organizing the Story

Outlining is a big part of my organization process, so I’ll be talking a fair bit about it. The first part of any story is your premise / core idea (it sounds like you’ve already got some of your own, so I won’t discuss coming up with those). The next step is brainstorming what you want to revolve around that premise. I already knew the characters fairly well, so what I did for TPiaG is write out a bunch of ideas for scenes on scraps of notebook paper and start arranging them on a table in different ways. I eventually settled on an order of events (many of which ended up cut for clarity in the actual fic), and then I started structuring them into chapters.

How I structure chapters is inspired by the Kishotenketsu structure that is used fairly often in Asian storytelling. I divide each chapter into 5 parts: an Introduction that provides a starting point for the chapter, Development that builds on and adds context or tension to the introduction, a Twist that causes a new perspective on either the situation, characters, or something else in the story, a Resolution that helps wrap things up in a satisfying way, and then a Hook that leads the reader to want to read the next chapter. This is a structuring method that works way better for me than the Three Acts or the Hero’s Journey— I prefer the stronger focus on character vs. plot— and so I try to use it as often as possible. Here’s an example from my outline (if you’ve read TPiaG, you may notice some differences between it and the actual published chapters of the fic! It’s chapter 4 instead of chapter 3, for one thing!)

Organizing Characters

I’ll be honest— I didn’t fill out character sheets like I should have for this project. I kind of just went with the flow as I wrote them. Twig and Grovyle are the only characters who got sheets at all, and Grovyle still only got a half of one. However, I do have a blank copy of a character sheet I can share as reference!

I think most of this is pretty self-explanatory— but if anyone wants clarification on anything or what goes into the individual note sections, let me know! This is what the topmost part of Twig’s character sheet bio looks like:

The Torment of the Human Mind, or: How to Deal with Idea Overload

This is an ongoing struggle for me. I’ve mentioned having ADHD in the past, but it really turns idea generation and shiny object syndrome into a purgatory of unspeakable proportions. Before TPiaG, I had never finished a creative project because I would constantly ping-pong back and forth between newer and funner ideas, inevitably abandoning WIPs, come back to them for a few weeks at a time, and then dart off to the next thing. This feels awful because you never finish anything when you’re stuck in this cycle, and having all those ideas as open tabs in your brain is exhausting.

My greatest advice for figuring out what you want to do and then doing it? Figure out a fun idea— maybe not the funnest idea, but an idea you enjoy and can create with your current skills and a good helping of hard work— and then commit to it with a story priority hierarchy. Every time you want to work on another idea, you have to work on the idea you committed to first for 30 minutes (or a different block of time, whatever works for you!). After that allotted time is up, you’re free to work on whatever other projects you like— but you have to start at the top of the priority hierarchy. That way, you still get work done on your #1 project, but you’re not restricted to it.

Alternatively: Write until that priority project is done. You can make notes on ideas, you can make Pinterest boards for them, and you can make playlists— but you can only write for your priority project. I’d recommend doing this with a deadline in mind. Something like Camp NaNoWriMo or a similar month-long challenge. Novelty is an important part of my workflow! I get it. But for some people, bouncing back and forth between ideas is detrimental to their ability to focus / write, and committing to a single project at a time is extremely beneficial. I thought that I was someone who needed total freedom to work on any of my projects, but it turns out that being handcuffed to a project and a word count goal for a month was exactly what I needed to finish my first ever complete manuscript.

Comparing Hand Sizes, but with Genshin Characters

Hi so I'm capitalizing on the success of my Obey Me Comparing Hand Sizes post by making one for Genshin. That's all enjoy.

Includes: Zhongli, Diluc, Kaeya, Beidou, Raiden Shogun, Lisa

You're sitting with this person just kind of chilling while you're both doing your own thing when you glance over at their hands. You wait a long enough pause in what they're doing before reaching over and taking their hand, holding it so that you can gently press your palm against theirs. Also, this is an S/O who has relatively small hands so-

Zhongli

The two of you were sitting and drinking tea at Third-Round Knockout. The normal storyteller was out sick, so instead, you were listening as Zhongli rambled on and on with stories from the history of Liyue.

Despite how long he'd been talking, you had barely noticed. You couldn't help but be captivated. With a combination of his beautiful voice and the fact that every one of his words were so full of meaning, it was hard to be bored listening to him. (Or maybe I'm just a simp)

After a while, he paused to take a sip. You found yourself watching his hands as they curled around his teacup. As he put it down, you had an idea. You reached over and gently grabbed his hand as soon as he let go of the cup.

"Hm?" He watched you curiously as you pressed your palm to his, but he said nothing, nor did he stop you.

His hands,,,, large,,,,

Also his hands are just really nice in general, I'm-

10/10 would hold them (or maybe I'm just simp again)

He gently curled his hand around yours with a smile.

"What are you doing, my dear?"

"I'm comparing our hand sizes. Yours are pretty big, haha."

He looked down where your guys' hands were.

"Ah. So they are."

He lifted your hand to plant a gentle kiss on the back of it. Then he kept his hand in yours as he continued.

"Now, where was I..."

Diluc Ragnivindr

You were sitting behind the bar at Angel's Share with Diluc as he was serving patrons their wine. You weren't just sitting there, of course, you were also helping serve customers, despite his protests that you didn't have to.

At one point, there was a lull in the people ordering drinks, giving the two of you a moment to relax.

You watched as he leaned against the counter, resting his arms on top of it. As you did, you had an idea and reached out to grab his hand.

He gave you a slightly startled look as you pressed your palm to his, looked around to see if anyone was watching, then leaned over to you.

His hands are quite big. Not as big as Zhongli's but still a bit bigger than average.

"S/O, what are you doing???"

"Comparing our hands sizes. Look, yours are bigger than mine."

"Ah- um, yeah. They are."

Then his quickly pulled his hand away, and when you looked over at him, his head was turned away, but you could see the redness at the tips of his ears. You couldn't help but give a little giggle at the sight of him so flustered.

And just then some more customers came in and it was back to the grind.

Once he had something to do, Diluc's flustered demeanor vanished quickly, though he couldn't keep himself from repeatedly glancing at you for the rest of the night.

Kaeya Alberich

Like with Diluc, you two were also at the Angel's Share, though instead of working, you two were patrons.

Why he decided to bring you to a tavern for a date was beyond you, but he seemed to be having fun, that was for sure.

He was also incredibly touchy. It was almost like he couldn't keep his hands off you. Either he had his arm around your shoulders or was running a hand up and down your back, or had it placed on your arm or shoulder, or was grabbing at your hands or had a hand on your thigh or-

Anyway, with his hand constantly moving about touching you, you eventually got fed up and grabbed his hand to stop it. As you did, you had an idea.

He turned to you with that ever-present cocky grin and raised an eyebrow. He chuckled as you turned his hand up and pressed your palm to his.

His hands are actually surprisingly small. Still bigger than yours but decently small.

"What are you up to, baby?"

"I'm comparing our hand sizes."

"Oh? Let me see."

He leaned over to look and gave an infuriatingly victorious grin.

"Well, well, look at that. Mine are bigger. Guess that means I win."

You pouted at him.

"You're mean."

"At least I don't have tiny hands."

You gave him a shove and pouted at him.

Beidou

The two of you sat on the beach of Guyun Stone. She was telling you stories about her most recent excursion out to sea. The way she wove her stories into boisterous, exciting tales always captivated you. You were sure she exaggerated some points, but it didn't bother you. You knew she was only doing it to make it more entertaining for you. She'd never do it for her own gain. And besides, it was working.

You smiled as you listened to her exciting tales, asking questions here and there. Her arms made wide, over-the-top gestures as she spoke. Sometimes she even stood up to demonstrate some epic move she made, then sat back down with a laugh.

At some point, she stopped to take a swig from her flask. You watched her hands, finding yourself fascinated by them. When she put the flask down, you felt compelled to reach out and grab her hand

She gave you a confused and slightly startled look.

Then she gave a boisterous laugh as you pressed your palm to hers.

Her hand were only slightly bigger than yours, and they were very calloused.

"What on earth are ya doin' there, eh, S/O?"

"Comparing our hand sizes."

"Oh yeah? Comparin' hand sizes, huh? I've heard of people doin' that sort of thing before. Never did understand the point."

"Just for fun. Heh, yours are a bit bigger than mine."

"That so? Lemme see."

She leaned over to look

"Heyyy, would ya look at that, they sure are!"

She took her hand from yours and used it to give you a big ol' pat on the shoulder.

"Now, ya wanna hear the rest of the story?"

When you nodded, she continued on with the tales of her adventures.

Raiden Shogun

The two of you sat under a tree on a picnic blanket that overlooked Inazuma City with a spread of sweets on the blanket with you.

She had a gentle smile as she talked about some of the ones she recognized. And for the ones she didn't, you found yourself explaining to her.

You watched as she grabbed a Tricolor Dango and ate it with delicate fingers. When she was done, she carefully set the skewer aside.

Without thinking, you reached put and gently took her hand in yours, earning a surprised and curious look from her.

You pressed your palm to hers gently. Her hands are small and delicate, which is a pretty big contrast to her power and strength. Very lovely hands.

"Dear, are you comparing our hand sizes?”

When you nod, she gives you a soft smile.

"How endearing."

She gently cups your cheek as she leans over and softly kisses for forehead, then your nose, and finally, your lips.

Afterwards, she grabs another sugary treat and holds it up to your lips.

"You should try this, love. It's very tasty."

Lisa Minci

You were helping Lisa put some returned books back in their rightful places. The two of you had been working for quite a while now.

"Aww, thank you, cutie, you're so sweet. Work feels like so much less of a hassle with you around," she had said when you offered to help.

After a moment, you finished putting the books in your arms away and was about to go get some more.

That's when Lisa caught your eye.

Her delicate fingers carefully pushed another book back into place, the other arm still holding a few more.

As she pulled her hand away you found yourself reaching out and grab it.

She turns to look at you, immediately giving you a loving smile as you press your palm to hers.

Her hands are small and dainty and well-trimmed and cared for. Very nice hands.

"Aww, are you comparing our hand sizes, sweetie? Aren't you just the cutest thing?"

You blush a little as you nod.

"Yeah. Yours are pretty small."

"Is that so? I suppose that makes them perfect for you to hold, hmmm?"

She smirks at you softly, almost expectantly, as if she were actually expecting you to hold her hand.

Which, knowing her, she probably was.

And so, you twine your finger between hers, softly.

"You know this will make it harder for us to put the books away, right?"

"Naturally. But work can wait till later. My adorable little sweetie is much more important right now."

She then pulls you over to snuggle you at her desk, setting her remaining books aside.

This woman really needs to get her priorities straight.

I just don’t think I’m on the same page as everyone else in regards to Blake’s driving lol, maybe she used to be a hardcore criminal and rebel before she joined beacon but unless it’s stopping her from fighting Salem Blake is usually on the side of the law

Blake, if she did drive anything, it would’ve been because of pretty fast paced reasons of just needing to get out of somewhere, otherwise they probably could’ve gotten a different person to drive

I personally don’t think Blake is on the side of the law

considering for a considerable amount of her life she, again, was a criminal and also is in a demographic that is harmed by the government

however I do think Blake has a very solid sense of authority and respect for it because of being in an organization that required it, PLUS her parents were such a solid example this is why she’s so quick to accept Ruby as her team leader despite ruby being two years younger

ALSO yeah she of COURSE follows the rules she was actively breaking the law like a month at most pre beacon if she gets caught she’s GETTING ARRESTED for being a TERRORIST she was like a pretty high up person in the white fang her parents used to be in charge of it Adam’s like?? Second in command and if she never killed anyone (she’d never ever ever kill anyone innocent but who knows about someone like Weiss’s dad I would forgive her personally) she’s still an accessory to a lot of murder Adam’s terrible (I just figured this out as I was writing this and thought it was a fun detail)

Also I don’t know how Robyn came up?? I’m talking about early beacon Blake which means right out of the white fang

Love Robyn tho💖❤️💖 love her a lot

Like if you see her different that’s cool sorry about the ramble I just don’t talk about Blake as often as I could and I was given the opportunity

My favorite thing about Blake being a criminal is how chill she gets about it once they’re all criminals

Like jaunes like “lets steal an airship” and she’s like bet and openly starts talking about stealing atlas tech and breaking in and it’s so funny

Plus she probably has diplomatic immunity or something from her parents after being un-run away/ un-missing/ un-disowned with her parents but who knows how global politics works in the world of Rwby during the disconnect post the fall of beacon

But yeah again this is mostly just my brains personal cannon

Would LOVE to hear everyone’s different perspectives on Blake and the different ways people think being a criminal affected her as well as the theories on how the white fang affected the world and if you think diplomatic immunity is something she could have

Trolls Species Idea: Midtempo Trolls

Wanted to take a crack at making a sub-species of Troll, and I wanted to make a Troll kind that lived in space, so I picked Midtempo!!

Midtempo music is one of my favorite genres of music. The beats are inconsistent, freaky, the sounds used are uncommon and weird. It sounds like music you'd hear whilst on a space shop cruising through the galaxy.

Midtempo Trolls are massive Trolls that live in the ozone layer of the planet. Their ancestors, like all others, did exist on Earth and had their own string. But when the tribes separated, the Midtempo ancestors used their string to climb into the heavens, where their strange, unearthly music could be free (or so legend says)

More under the cut (warning it's LONG):

Midtempo Trolls are BIG. Like Vacationer or Mount Raggeon big. They basically swim through the ozone layer, kinda like a giant whale. Their fins on the sides of their bodies not only propell them through space, but it's the source of their music. When they "sing", their music eminates from their fins, and the patterns along the surface will shift and change to match the beat.

Midtempo trolls don't actually "speak" in the same way regular Trolls do. They don't have vocal chords like normal, so they communicate by projecting their voices into the minds of others. Their voices, like their music, is never consistent. They can sound masculine, feminine, young, old, like one person, or a thousand speaking at once. The only physical sounds they can make are roars and growls to ward off other Midtempo Trolls (they're very territorial) or call out to others using noises akin to a whale call (space whale haha lol).

When Midtempo Trolls feel threatened, mainly by other Midtempos trying to take their territory, they can basically "open" their faces to appear bigger. Their mouths can peel back nearly to their ears, with a small slit of skin to keep their jaws in place, and they'll open two extra sets of eyes.

(gave them two tongues too why idk)

Midtempo Trolls hardly ever come down to Earth. They feel a bit odd on Earth, since they're so much bigger than other Trolls. They speak much differently as well. Midtempo Trolls don't have a sense of singularity, so when they speak, they refer to themselves in a plural sense

Examples: "I don't understand" = "We don't understand" / "It belongs to me" = "It belongs to us"

Tho when they do, they do enjoy speaking to the earthly trolls, and learning of their cultures.

saw your post about redeemable durge and gortash and how they are different. And my two cents is that pre amnesia durge was way beyond redemption, there is just so much necrophilia, cannibalism and mass murder you can do before it forever stains you haha xD It is like finding some old demented man that used to do warcrimes, you can jail them, but they wont fully understand why they are there. anyways, love durge and gort <3 thank you for your posts. Hopefully larian gives us option to rule with gortash at some point. there seems to be some hints of that happening in game files.

the game is pretty liberal in terms of presenting villains as sympathetic and capable of redemption.

Astarion might've been forced to do some awful things, but he still has the weight of thousands of souls on his head, doomed to an eternity of hunger. wyll was mizora's lapdog, and he was absolutely going to kill poor Karlach, who did nothing to deserve it. his guilty reaction implies he might've done this before.

gale's desperation for mystra's approval and power resulted in him getting that orb in his chest, which could've detonated at any moment, killing like... I don't know. it could kill a damn netherbrain, right? so it would've been able to flatten at least a city. that's a lot of deaths at his hands, and for what?

nothing. his own ambition.

Lae'zel and Shadowheart of course serve evil cults.

I'm not saying it's the exact same, because they've definitely all been coerced in some way.

but it allows for some ambiguity, doesn't it?

let's even look at outright villains.

you can tell Ketheric that he's still redeemable. he even falters when you suggest it.

and while Orin was never going to redeem herself, I mean fucking look at Sarevok and her mother. she was a product of incest already, which was absolutely disgusting, and then her own mother tried to kill her as a child, for the approval of Bhaal.

and then Sarevok tells you to kill her!!! his own daughter/granddaughter (yuck).

she desperately wanted his approval, and Bhaal's approval, and when you confront her with the truth, she's forced to turn into the slayer before she can even contemplate what it means to her.

I just.

I know Gortash is awful and if he existed in real life, I would absolutely kill him. he's on Joseph Mengele levels of fucked.

I wouldn't even need a trial, he'd be like Hitler. just shoot him in the head.

but since it's a game.... I can say that they presented him in an oddly sympathetic light, just like the villains, just like our morally gray heroes.

nubaldin boasts about how he used to bruise his knuckles on his face. Karlach, who is his chief victim for the audience's understanding, even says that it makes sense.

it doesn't excuse what happened to her of course.

but it explains it.

so... anyway I've rambled too long.

I admit that amnesia is really the only thing that redeems the dark urge.

but consider that I also said that Gortash is actually less evil than them from the start.

and they kind of balance each other out, in that way. you could even call them equals.

they could both have redemption, if only they both sought it.

Nice/Fun stuff:

- They say pretty much everything that comes to mind, and once they get a train of thought it doesn't take long for it to derail and crash through a small community, leaving a trail of destruction behind it. TLDR they're really rambly.

"Birthdays are kinda weird. Like obviously there's the whole counting down to your death thing, but also, like. You're basically celebrating the anniversary of you getting evicted from your mom's, uh. You know. Okay that sounded REALLY, extremely, UNCOMFORTABLY Freudian. Can we PLEASE pretend I never said that? Thanks. Oh, right, the murder case."

- They have a tendency to just accept things and move on without commenting further.

"Oh. You lay eggs. Anyways, can you help me break into the ticket booth? I need to check the entry records."

- They're a fucking dork /pos (They're really sweet, but in a convoluted way)

"I, uh, please don't think this is weird, but I made characters for both of us! This one's named May, and they're kinda a failure. They failed their parents, they failed their old best friend, they failed their job. They used to think they had no redeeming qualities. Then, one day, they meet the other character, Ginger. Ginger seems terrifying initially, and even if it isn't obvious at first, they're not actually human. Ginger and May go on a journey in which May tries to learn magic in order to protect people and redeem themself for their past actions, even though they despise the idea of learning magic, but, eventually... Ginger helps them see their own value, helps May see that they're a person too. They are allowed to be selfish sometimes, they're just as worthy of happiness as anyone else. And, uh, maybe... Maybe that saved their life a bit. And maybe, May is allowed to do things for themself sometimes. Ginger means a whole lot to May, even if they have trouble expressing it, and... uh, I guess that's everything. Um. What do you think?"

Serious, bad stuff:

- They see very little value in themself, and tend to expect others to insult or make fun of them. To combat this, they typically are quick to insult themself, in an attempt to get there before anybody else can. It hurts less if they're the one saying it.

"And before you say it! I know it's super annoying when people are constantly insulting themselves, cause like it comes off as compliment seeking, right? I promise that's not what I'm trying to do, I'm just kinda trying to warn you I guess? But, uh, that's still no excuse, and I can totally just shut up if you want! Or, wait, I shouldn't have assumed it's annoying you, I could just be restating what you're thinking? I mean, the things I'm saying about myself aren't exactly incorrect- Just, let me know if I'm being annoying. I'd rather shut up than annoy you, haha. ha. Wow, that sounded fake."

- They tend to blame everything on themself, and act very self destructively.

"Oh god, this is all my fucking fault, I'm so sorry. It's okay if you hate me- or, no, you SHOULD hate me! Fuck, I'm- Why did you even talk to me in the first place?! Do you realize- If you just- You would've been better off if you just walked past me and ignored me! I need to- This is for your wellbeing, being around me is only gonna make things worse for you. I'll be fine, just- Don't follow me. I mean, I don't know why you would in the first place."

- They put everyone else before themself.

"I need to make it up to them, even if I ruin my life in the process. It's not like my life was looking particularly bright in the first place, which is entirely my own fault, so, y'know. Yeah."

Hi, and thanks! <3 There are six chapters in total. For more info, I will simply give you (and anyone else who reads this) a Reddit post:

This post explains everything we know about Mansion of the Deathly Mirror and how to deal with the fact that this game is lost media.

That link aside, I have a transcript planned for Mansion of the Deathly Mirror just like I did with Chelmey's Casebook and London Holiday, but I don't even have the full first chapter completed yet, so I'll have to catch up whenever I have the time and materials to do so. I haven't had the time to work on it in many months, but don't worry, I haven't forgotten about it and I WILL make a better, FULL version of the translation, as soon as I can get to it (but right now I'm kinda supposed to be preparing for my PhD defence hahahahaha).

Now for some ramblings related to the above-linked Reddit post. Long story short: we have chances of securing the game. But for that to happen, we need to be patient, and we need to be silent. If you ever find footage of the game on youtube or elsewhere, no matter what you do, leave the player alone.

Let them upload at their pace and gather the crumbs as they fall off the table, because asking for them to let you eat the whole cake has never worked in the past. By that I mean: asking someone who owns the game "hey can I see your cool shiny thing asap plz plz plz" will result in that person blocking you, no longer posting any footage or content related to that cool shiny thing, and possibly disappearing off the face of the entire internet forever. I am neither joking, nor exaggerating.

I'm not talking that much about MotDM because we don't want to get too much attention drawn to it for the time being. But don't worry, if this game ever is found (and we have a whole team searching for it, we're just secretive on purpose -- for the reasons I mentioned here and for those that are explained in more detail in the Reddit post), we WILL make sure that the fandom knows about it. It's mostly just that right now, the only person we know who has the game and is somewhat willing to make a playthrough does not want any unwanted attention, and this person is not a friend of ours. They will stop uploading if people ask for them to upload faster, and they already threatened once to delete all their videos when someone asked them if they could "share the ROM." (No. No they won't. And even if they were willing to, we can't even make anything out of a ROM yet because of the hardware being stupidly complicated anyway.)

It's just that for now we're all stuck in limbo hahaha, there's some stuff done in the shadows but nothing worth hyping about until we're done with it. I mean -- we can't do anything until the one (1) person who owns the game decides to upload more footage of it. Given how desperately lost this game is, we should actually be happy we get to have anything at all, even if even NWoS might come out before it.

[EDIT] Needless to say, the player who is sharing some gameplay footage does NOT know that I have a website with the beginning of a fan-translation, and if they learn even so little that it exists, they are going to have a heart attack and will likely delete their entire playthrough. And nobody wants that.

I personally won't celebrate and heave a real breath of relief before footage of the full game from start to finish with as much content as possible is secured, which is why I don't talk about it a lot. I'm just paranoid that something might go wrong like it already has multiple times in the past hahaha

What's the best thing you've ever eaten?

“Oh my powers DEFINITELY the mini cake thing from Ceteri. Cupcake? Yeah that. It was chocolate I think. Don't know about the frosting. I ate way too many last time Noelle brought them. She's warming up to me.”

What's the worst injury you've ever had?

“Physical or emotional? Haha sorry - I have injured myself quite a bit while running at top speeds. We speedsters have faster... Everything *wink* - but I mean I can heal faster which is very helpful. But even with a faster runtime, I make the same mistakes as everyone if I'm distracted. I've hit things, and at top speeds *cringe* yeah it's not fun. Ran into a concrete wall once. Concussion and a few broken bones. More than a few. Eh, I walked it off.”

Do you wish you looked different?

“Nah. Pretty happy with how I look! I guess I wouldn't mind Carla's eye color. That is not fair - neither of our parents even have amber eyes. What recessive gene did she pull out?”

#3- Akash

What is your favourite weather?

“When it's sunny, but not hot. Nice breeze. Not too cold or harsh. Just...total peace. Robbie likes it a little cloudy. I dunno, maybe that's cozy for him. But I happen to like the outside.”

Where would you want to take someone to hang out or on a date?

“For me, I wouldn't mind the classic dates. Movies, dinner. But Gwen... I'd do something special. A cultural gallery or a bookstore. Maybe a play. A Superman-esque flight around the city perhaps.”

What’s your least favourite food?

“Oh my gosh man - I hate asparagus. So many people like it, but I'm sorry. Can't stand the stuff.”

#4- Sam

What is the strangest thing you've ever stolen?

“In fourth grade, this girl Emma brought a laser pointer to school. Well, it was a pen with a built-in laser pointer. I thought it was cool. So I had to stay after school for the music play I was in, and as I was walking from the bathroom, I saw the pen on the floor. I picked it up. Emma was a little rude, so I kept it. She never asked around for it, so I felt okay after that! Plus, I couldn't pass up the opportunity for a pen laser pointer!”

What is your least favorite food?

“Mustard. Can't stand it. Wait, does that count as a food? Okay, nevermind. Uh.... Tomatoes. It's a texture thing.”

Who is the strongest person you know?

“Akash for sure. He's been through a lot of crappy things, and people treated him meanly for stupid reasons. But he's still so positive and helps a lot of people! Plus he's probably the funniest person I know besides my brother. But Akash is just as much a brother to me as Robbie.”

I don't think I've posted much about Sam - other than her excerpts. That was fun!

What's your worst fear?

“Oh. Okay. Wow. Um, well, there's my actual phobia of physical contact, haphephobia. Not sure if that counts or not. I guess other than that, it's losing all my friends. Most of my elementary school friends went to different middle schools, so I haven't seen them in person for a while. I don't want to lose anyone else. Ever. I'm not sure what I'd do.”

What's your love language?

“Well, it's not physical touch! *Laughs* I guess quality time. Actively doing things with someone else. That's the best I could ask for.”

When are you the happiest?

“When I'm with my friends! Just whenever we're doing whatever! As long as they're happy, and we're happy together.”

Would you ever get high and if so, what is your drug of choice?

“First of all, I'm thirteen. Second of all, yeah probably - it'd be a fun risk to take. Not sure what drugs I'd take though. *Pauses* Hm. There are these devices I found that stimulate my telepathy. I wonder if those are anything like drugs. If they are, then whatever those are most similar to.”

Three things you would buy at the store to freak the cashier and the person behind you out

“Walmart has these cheeseburger onion rings I noticed last time I was with Mary. I may buy that just to make the cashier think I have terrible taste. In actuality, I'm just curious. Maybe an urn or something dark. Ooh. A pregnancy test. That would freak a lot of people out. *Pause* Was that too dark?”

What stupid opinion are you willing to die for?

“That American cheese tastes good. Liam told me it tasted like plastic. I'll admit, I need to try more cheeses. He was right about that. But plastic? Come on. He's just mad that Muenster isn't a Canadian invention.”

Bonus links update! Which means it's analysis time! (Only slightly late haha)

I emerge from the void! Exams are a doozy man, but here i am, And i am ready to analyse the hell out of this update cause ohhh man stuff is happening and I'm loving it.

These two defo need to talk about it at one point, maybe after the entire team is together? Having a divide like this (While 100% understandable, loft was kinda a dick about it) will impact things.

Makes me wonder how it's gonna work. Will someone snap some sense into them? Will someone get hurt because they were arguing?

We know they dont really get along too well so I feel like this is the beginning of a greater arc with these two.

Poor loft, he wants to make amends. Maybe try again in a bit? You'll get it.

This made me chuckle, when in doubt, wolf is there to assist.

Also, these two have no beef, do we know if Wake knows the wolf from his adventure? I cant actually remember if it was mentioned at all. It would explain why he's so willing to apologise to him and not Loft.

Peony pulling them back from the memory, this is why i love her okay. She's wonderful.

I have a theory

Loft reminds Slate of a family member. More specifically his sister.

Thats why they are so cold to him.

So, it's not just me right? There's a resemblance here. The way the hair falls and the colour.

ESPECIALLY WITH THE HEADBAND THAT LOFT HASNT WORN UNTIL NOW.

If Loft got given that headband by someone here as he was helping and now that Slate has seen him wearing it and also not he's had this memory it would explain why he looks to the side like that.

He's looking in the direction that Loft left the screen, perhaps looking for him...

The response from Slate might be a trauma response without them realising it. He's acting cold to Loft because he reminds him of a member of his family that he can't put a face too.

Just a thought of course.
