Speaking of stars, both commissions of this tenderly romantic scene were actually inspired by the famous Aristocats' sapphire eyes scene and a romantically exciting RP me and my dear bestie, @x-elyssa-x are doing of how JD and Amalthea met in an explorer AU - where Amalthea is experiencing life in Troll Kingdom for the very first time after travelling from her Space Kingdom, finds herself in Troll Village during a huge storm and is taken in by Grandma Rosiepuff (yes, she is alive and well in this AU, along with BroZone still together, yet living their own lives but still visit their dear grandma~😌) Amalthea and John's relationship begins to grow over time and JD, feeling love, finally plucks up the courage to propose to Amalthea, which she happily accepts, for she really loves him back for who he is~💚😊The two of them then travel with Rhonda, back to Space Kingdom so John can experience life there, just like Ama did in his kingdom✨ Hope you all like, my lovelies!👍🏻😁💞And a MASSIVE thank-you in a million to my awesome Fern and Jaguar for these wonderful treasures - you have both done such a fantastic job and I am ever soooo happy, over the moon and grateful for them both~!💝🫂🌟🫂💝Bless you both, my dears~!🌹😘💕🫶🏻xoxo.

Introducing Gumball, a species I created known as a Bubble Dragon! He is the main transport for a group of misfit trolls known as The Rag-Tags (featured in a fic I have in the works) that supports their nomadic lifestyle by flying all over the world!

If you would like to create a Bubble Dragon of your own, go for it! As long as you tag me and give me credit ^^

Facts/Other Information about Bubble Dragons:

Extendable necks

Tend to be very sleepy and lazy, but are incredibly affectionate and loyal

Like a parrot, they can mimic voices, different kinds of sounds, and music (they LOVE to mimic their favorite people and sing along with them)

Smell sweet, like different kinds of candy

Breathe bubbles that explode on impact

Antennae, wings, nose, spines, and tail fluff glow in the dark

The nose and bulbs on the antennae can shine a bright light like a headlight

Diet consists of sweet, sugary tree sap

Like Rhonda, Bubble Dragons are biological vehicles with interiors made to match, possessing a different amount of floors, rooms, and furniture depending on their size and maturity. How do these extra additions come about? Who knows

Can shield themselves and their companions in protective bubbles

Windows on their sides can be any shape; have a hull on the front of their chest where the control panel and steering wheel are located

Passengers enter the interior through their mouth

Come in bright, candy-like colors

Tend to grow to be larger than Rhonda

Alright before I go on vacation and can't draw: HERES A BUNCH OF TROLLS OCS!! (cus Ibby and their server have been watching them,,, haven't made it to 3 yet but eee)

No one got names yet but the colours are based on albums from specific bands <3

Ok I know VOCALOID isn't a genre specifically but like,,, hehe robo troll hehe

oops a sona,,, tbh the band I based it on is considered nu-metal + alt rock; given they use classical instruments quite often and the classical trolls have wings uhhhh *wing beam be upon yee*

Pop-Punk my beloved, save me Pop-Punk, Pop-Punk save me

I like this design way more than I thought I would??? Given I'm not a huge fan of the Techno-Trolls design wise - anyway oooo rock-troll/techno-troll hybrid ooo (beautiful they/thems my weakness)

OK SO THIS ONE COVERS BOTH SINCE THEYRE QUITE SIMILAR,,, insert death metal scream here (he's actually very nice dont worry)

Folk trolls!

Made a new genre/species (?) of troll because I tend to listen to folk music the most but afaik the movies hasn’t shown or mentioned them existing at all. The notes and stuff might be a bit all over the place because I was mostly just rambling and stuff. Apologies as well if you can’t read my hand-writing very well I can clarify if asked.

There’s a few personal hcs in there that I have for pop trolls as well just to show the difference between folk and pop. I was also thinking of giving folk trolls antennae like bugs which I may still do to help them look a bit more unique but! Idk!

Trolls Species Idea: Midtempo Trolls

Wanted to take a crack at making a sub-species of Troll, and I wanted to make a Troll kind that lived in space, so I picked Midtempo!!

Midtempo music is one of my favorite genres of music. The beats are inconsistent, freaky, the sounds used are uncommon and weird. It sounds like music you'd hear whilst on a space shop cruising through the galaxy.

Midtempo Trolls are massive Trolls that live in the ozone layer of the planet. Their ancestors, like all others, did exist on Earth and had their own string. But when the tribes separated, the Midtempo ancestors used their string to climb into the heavens, where their strange, unearthly music could be free (or so legend says)

More under the cut (warning it's LONG):

Midtempo Trolls are BIG. Like Vacationer or Mount Raggeon big. They basically swim through the ozone layer, kinda like a giant whale. Their fins on the sides of their bodies not only propell them through space, but it's the source of their music. When they "sing", their music eminates from their fins, and the patterns along the surface will shift and change to match the beat.

Midtempo trolls don't actually "speak" in the same way regular Trolls do. They don't have vocal chords like normal, so they communicate by projecting their voices into the minds of others. Their voices, like their music, is never consistent. They can sound masculine, feminine, young, old, like one person, or a thousand speaking at once. The only physical sounds they can make are roars and growls to ward off other Midtempo Trolls (they're very territorial) or call out to others using noises akin to a whale call (space whale haha lol).

When Midtempo Trolls feel threatened, mainly by other Midtempos trying to take their territory, they can basically "open" their faces to appear bigger. Their mouths can peel back nearly to their ears, with a small slit of skin to keep their jaws in place, and they'll open two extra sets of eyes.

Midtempo Trolls hardly ever come down to Earth. They feel a bit odd on Earth, since they're so much bigger than other Trolls. They speak much differently as well. Midtempo Trolls don't have a sense of singularity, so when they speak, they refer to themselves in a plural sense

Examples: "I don't understand" = "We don't understand" / "It belongs to me" = "It belongs to us"

Tho when they do, they do enjoy speaking to the earthly trolls, and learning of their cultures.

My brother, who isn't or wasn't into trolls before, came up to me and shared his idea for a new troll species. I was very happy to make his vision a reality, so now we're presenting you his very own and first troll OC!

His name is Jett Crazynight and he's a dubstep troll. My bro got really creative with his species and I was very happy for him. I honestly hope he'll create more OCs, and I'm pretty sure he'd be excited to talk about his character. I can tell you, he put a lot of effort into it, and I'm proud of him 😊

I usually don't ask for it, but feel free to send questions about this guy. My bro was and still is in a dark place in his life, so I think that would cheer him up.

here is kankri and his baby brother…. they don’t get along!! i wish they did though id love to see these two go on an adventure together where they look out each other. since kankri is a beforus troll and a vegan, his shell is pretty thin because he’s not getting enough iron. on the other hand, karkat’s shell is heavier then it should be due to stress. thanks for the RQ!! im soooo glad ppl like my sillies :D

This is very important. Mostly to me but maybe you guys have been wondering this too idk but anyways:

How does troll reproduction work exactly?

Cuz I'm genuinely curious. I dont think anyone on the series production team has said anything and so far I've seen absolutely no one touch on this subject but as someone who's always had an interest in the habits of creatures (both fictional or otherwise), I kinda sorta maybe NEED to know this otherwise I'll never be able to sleep peacefully again

Full disclaimer that I'm specifically talking about the whole egg situation, I am NOT ASKING HOW THEY GET IT ON IF I WANTED THAT ANSWER I'D GO TO DEVIANT ART OR TWITTER OR WHATEVER LAWLESS PLATFORM GOD STEERS CLEAR OF. This discussion shall remain STRICTLY educational, thank you very much

But anywho. Let's dive in

So trolls come from eggs. This is basic knowledge. First instance of this phenomenon (as far as I know, I've only seen the movies) is from World Tour.

Egg pops out of Guy Diamond's hair, egg hatches and BOOM, (literal) baby. Now I understand that this whole sequence was probably just a gag and a way for DreamWorks to implement another (merchandisable) addition to the cast HOWEVER this sequence also raises a few questions

First off, as far as I know Guy Diamond has no partner (again: I haven't watched any of the spinoff shows). Either that or maybe the other troll was a sorta one-night-stand/no-longer-in-his-life kinda situation? Which is great either way cuz its shown he obviously cares for his son and we at Tumblr appreciate a loving single father no matter the circumstances, but if my former theory is correct than that would imply that trolls are capable of reproducing asexually. Like onions.

Now if that hypothesis is, as they call it, "cap" then that would mean that some sorta hanky panky has to go down before an egg comes into question. And if that's the case, does this mean that male trolls are traditionally the ones who carry the eggs?

But that can't be right, can it? Afterall, World Tour gave us yet ANOTHER egg scene later on in the movie

In Cooper's flashback, we clearly see Queen Essence being the one carrying the eggs meanwhile King Quincy is eggless. Now, as far as i see it, this could be explained either one of four ways:

1) Quincy was the one who actually produced the eggs and Essence is merely holding them for her husband (since her hair seems more fitting to be a makeshift nest compared to Quincy's)

2) Female trolls are the ones who produce the eggs. Guy Diamond is just a trans icon

3) Troll reproduction differs from genre to genre

4) There is a... *sighs* a/b/o type of dynamic among troll kind where certain trolls are capable of giving birth/siring children depending on a secondary gender

In regards to theory #3, this could also explain why Guy Diamond seems to reproduce and hatch an egg in such a short amount of time (like 5 seconds I'm pretty sure) as opposed to Queen Essence/King Quincy who's eggs presumably went a while longer before actually hatching.

Actually, speaking off eggs, are trolls the only species in their world that reproduce that way?

Because now that Band Together has officially been released, we now know for certain that it's possible for different species to crossbreed. Biggest example? Resident DILF Bruce and his giant muppet wife

Can you imagine one of branches bad days, where he's alone more gray then he usually is, he synthetic and poppy are just kinda flopped over onto each other in a sort of comfort pile, and the older siblings squad doesn't know what to do, doesn't know if they're allowed to come in and join or do something else. -HB

Synth has Branch curled up as close as he can to his own body, and Poppy is snuggled up right next to them, tail intertwined with Branch as they all snuggle together, and the siblings are just kinda watching like. Do we move him. Is he fine??

They end up leaving the trio be because Branch seems fairly comfy with his ear leaned up against Synth's chest.

Heres the other 2 species I mentioned in my last Trolls post <3

based on MLP + Polly Pockets specifically

I only have 3 ocs for each that will pop up in future arts, but heres some interesting fun facts:

Unicorns alt names are 'Pretticorns', 'Tiny Horses' or 'Mini-Ponies'

Polly Pockets are Sprites or Pocket-Sprites

Pocket-Sprites:

Are barely an inch taller than the trolls (not counting the trolls hair)

Can use magic to summon little fae wings

Can perform magic tricks like summoning things out of thin air; Can basically grant (small) wishes

All of them have 'wands' (sometimes literal, sometimes just the star charm)

The wands boost their power, but they can still do magic without them (they're a special, significant item)

EVERYONE is named Polly; They refer to each other by last name

The sprite in the image is Fields (the other two I have are Crosby & Graves)

Pretticorns:

Literally like a foot tall, they're not that big

All of them have glitter on their legs towards their hooves

Can levitate things with their horns and teleport small distances

Crystals are special to them and all can detect gemstones

The gemstone on their flank gives them their power (embedded in their skin on one side, think SU rules; it sticks out, not flat)

Horns, hoof-glitter + gemstone are all the same colour

Trolls and other tiny creatures can steer a unicorn by their ears when riding them

Pretty friendly most of the time

The one pictured is Topaz (her other two friends are Shimmer & Ivy; the troll is unnamed and is just for size example)
