I just wanna come back and clarify, after talking with a friend last night, “wishing I was intersex” is just a surface level suppressed thought I first had in my late teens after briefly learning the term and basic(very basic) definition in senior biology class that I still often think about. I never got to explore or challenge gender norms back then nor had I ever thought about my gender expression at the time, 3 years ago is when I questioned everything. I had no one to talk to about this stuff, no opportunities to so much as think about this stuff freely, to ever expand on this thought before it got so ingrained into my psyche. No, I don’t want to be intersex. That is a very uneducated and albeit offensive and harmful way of thinking. What I really want is too personal and tmi to say here but I’ll say I just wanna be a guy, I’m a transman/gender nonconforming, and end it there for good measure. It was ignorant of me to have worded it like that when I didn’t even mean that way, which before my talk last night I didn’t fully realize that’s not what I meant anyway, but regardless I shouldn’t have said that.
